Constance:

I really enjoyed your interview with Caryl Matrisciana this evening, speaking about her experiences in India and her exposure to new age spirituality.

One thing that was disturbing was when she spoke about "the third eye" - someone touching a person's forehead, and that person falling back and collapsing.

It was like a "new age" version of someone being "slain in the spirit."

I was just curious as to your opinion about that?

Excellent program tonight, Constance! Thank you Caryl for sharing your time and your valuable information. I hope that you will be returning as a future guest- in the very near future!

May God bless you!

Off subject, but concerning news.

FoxNews Report Today:
"Pentagon Hit by Unprecedented Cyber Attack
As a result of the cyber attack, the Defense Department has banned the use of external hardware devices throughout a vast network of military computers."

"The Pentagon has suffered from a cyber attack so alarming that it has taken the unprecedented step of banning the use of external hardware devices, such as flash drives and DVD's, FOX News has learned.
The attack came in the form of a global virus or worm that is spreading rapidly throughout a number of military networks.
"We have detected a global virus for which there has been alerts, and we have seen some of this on our networks," a Pentagon official told FOX News. "We are now taking steps to mitigate the virus."
The official could not reveal the source of the attack because that information remains classified.
"Daily there are millions of scans of the GIG, but for security reasons we don't discuss the number of actual intrusions or attempts, or discuss specific measures commanders in the field may be taking to protect and defend our networks," the department said in an official statement.
Military computers are often referred to as part of the Global Information Grid, or GIG, a system composed of 17 million computers, many of which house classified or sensitive information.
FOX News obtained a copy of one memo sent out last week to an Army division within the Pentagon warning of the cyber attack.
"Due to the presence of commercial malware, CDR USSTRATCOM has banned the use of removable media (thumb drives, CDRs/DVDRs, floppy disks) on all DoD networks and computers effective immediately." "
FOX News' Justin Fishel and Jennifer Griffin contributed to this report.

Panel Warns of Chinese Cyberspying, Attacks:

Thursday, November 20,2008 12:30 PM
"WASHINGTON -- China has accelerated computer espionage attacks on the U.S. government, defense contractors and American businesses, a congressional advisory panel said Thursday.
The U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission also said in its annual report to lawmakers that aggressive Chinese space programs are allowing Beijing to more effectively target U.S. military forces.
"China is stealing vast amounts of sensitive information from U.S. computer networks," said Larry Wortzel, chairman of the commission set up by Congress in 2000 to advise, investigate and report on U.S.-China issues.
The commission of six Democrats and six Republicans said in the unanimously approved report that China's massive military modernization and its "impressive but disturbing" space and computer warfare capabilities "suggest China is intent on expanding its sphere of control even at the expense of its Asian neighbors and the United States." I’d like to offer an apology to all the bloggers here.

The mystery of my missing post on Farmer’s blog has been cleared up. My original post is found under the thread “Change has arrived”. Blogger Paul made a reference to my post under a different thread on Farmer’s blog titled, "AA2, SArA2 and In Die: HannaH Jones". Further down on that "AA2" thread, YG asked about my post, “Where is Old Man’s comment that Paul referred to?” Answer: It’s on a different thread. I can’t explain the disconnect as to how the comments came to be on two different threads, but that's what happened. But the fact is, my original post DID NOT VANISH as I claimed.

Lesson learned….speculation is …..just speculation.

My thanks goes to Rudi for pointing this error out to me in a private email. She's a talented and classy lady. So now maybe you can figure out where my comments went on YG’s blogspot? Most likely, I screwed up typing in the security code which was needed in order to post a message over there or made some other protocol error. Then again, it’s more satisfying to my ego to think some big ugly blogger bogeyman ate my posts because they were such dangerous stuff.

As for my diet tonight, a slice of humble pie sounds good with a little whine. I'll be taking a break for awhile, need to refresh my browser.

EHarmony lost a civil rights case brought by a homosexual.

Here are a few of the terms;

1. The settlement, which did not find that EHarmony broke any laws, calls for the company to either offer the gay matches ...

... on its current venue or create a new site for them. EHarmony has opted to create a site called Compatiblepartners.net.

2.It must not only implement the new policy by March 31 but also give the first 10,000 same-sex registrants a free six-month subscription.

3.The settlement also calls for EHarmony to pay $50,000 to the state for administrative costs and $5,000 to McKinley.

At what point is it not worth owning your own business?

1) As the above quote and the first global crisis talk, just tell people what you are going do.

Those of us who are informed think they wouldn't be so blatant that they would just tell us, but that is exactly what happened.

2) The Rename Strategy. I received this from an email. Thanks to Bruce.
"Quinn and Rose (http://streamingradioguide.com/radio-show.php?show=2238 ) reported this morning that the FCC is instituting--or trying to--"Localism" to radio broadcasting. I'd be happy to use your name as well, or not, whatever your wish. Please let me know if I have permission to use it. You can email me at young_grasshopper@comcast.net or just respond here, if it's easier.

Old Man- You really don't need to apologize or eat humble pie, since you are amongst Christians here.

That being said, some people had a little fun with us, didn't they, both here and on Farmer's blog? So it could be said that making a simple mistake served a purpose. However,Constance herself has recorded more than once having her comments disappear in thin air, so don't think it doesn't happen.

Regarding being 'slain in the spirit', Paul was slain in the spirit on the road to Damascus. Sometimes people need an event like that to be jarred out of their old lives into a new life with Christ. There is no hocus pocus there as long as they who are slain are inviting JESUS into their hearts.

However, I expect to be challenged on this one, since it doesn't fit with the mindset here.

I needed to apologize because I let myself get off track with an invalid, or at least, unproven "conspiracy theory" that distracted from the real issue of Pedralbes as a totally pagan setting for what, according to my reading of God's word, we can expect to see emerge out of the middle east focused meetings that will be held there.

That said, need to change gears... The Brookings document (delivered to the Bush admin by Solana this week) list of contributors reads like a who's who of new age globalist pagans. That's some real scary people, and each one of them should be revealed for who and what they are. That goes against my bent, as I tend to focus on images and concepts, not people. (I forget a name as soon as I hear it sometimes.) But one name on the list I've never forgotten, for he was prominent in enviro-whako new age circles when I came out of those circles.

Please read my blog on Timothy Wirth which is on the previous thread. (That is if it hasn't vanished yet, ha ha!)

I am going to be in the land of the Lumarians (Northern California) for a week. I was thinking of visiting Mr. Keys gravesite, which is likely located around the area of Shasta city someplace, but then again, they might be keeping him alive inside the mountain.

Rudi,

Thank you for your email. Now I understand that you were not trying to ridicule me.

I understood that you were playing with the Alice theme, but since I was never much of a Disney fan, the last sentence alluded me totally. Thanks for clearing that up.

Regarding my email. I have had an email account with aol since 1992. Unfortunately all my art collectors know me through my other aol account which happens to be my real full name, so I never got rid of aol,as I didn't want to break the connection with clients past and present. Though in retrospect I should have, as AOL is one huge security problem. When I started my Obama Nation blog back in May, I wanted an email account that didn't use my real name. That's where halfmoonunder comes from, which is a reference to a poem I wrote a while back, about being timid and fearful and hiding ones true self from the real world because the world can be cruel. Anyway, my computer was hacked into in June and that's when I finally started a comcast account. I never changed the email address connected to my blog, however. Yes, it is the halfmoonunder account that has been receiving the strange emails. I only check it once or twice a week because I rarely get mail there, and that is why I did not get your email.

Thanks again for clarifying, and yes, a little fun and games is good amidst the bubble, bubble, toil and trouble.

Subject: .The Bankruptcy of The United States
United States Congressional Record, March 17, 1993 Vol. 33, page H-1303
Speaker-Rep. James Traficant, Jr. (Ohio) addressing the House:

"Mr. Speaker, we are here now in chapter 11.. Members of Congress are
official trustees presiding over the greatest reorganization of any Bankrupt
entity in world history, the U.S. Government. We are setting forth
hopefully, a blueprint for our future. There are some who say it is a
coroner's report that will lead to our demise.
It is an established fact that the United States Federal Government has
been dissolved by the Emergency Banking Act, March 9, 1933, 48 Stat. 1,
Public Law 89-719; declared by President Roosevelt, being bankrupt and
insolvent. H.J.R. 192, 73rd Congress m session June 5, 1933 - Joint
Resolution To Suspend The Gold Standard and Abrogate The Gold Clause
dissolved the Sovereign Authority of the United States and the official
capacities of all United States Governmental Offices, Officers, and
Departments and is further evidence that the United States Federal
Government exists today in name only.
The receivers of the United States Bankruptcy are the International
Bankers, via the United Nations, the World Bank and the International
Monetary Fund. All United States Offices, Officials, and Departments are now
operating within a de facto status in name only under Emergency War Powers.
With the Constitutional Republican form of Government now dissolved, the
receivers of the Bankruptcy have adopted a new form of government for the
United States. This new form of government is known as a Democracy, being an
established Socialist/Communist order under a new governor for America. This
act was instituted and established by transferring and/or placing the Office
of the Secretary of Treasury to that of the Governor of the International
Monetary Fund. Public Law 94-564, page 8, Section H.R. 13955 reads in part:
"The U.S. Secretary of Treasury receives no compensation for representing
the United States."
Gold and silver were such a powerful money during the founding of the
united states of America, that the founding fathers declared that only gold
or silver coins can be "money" in America. Since gold and silver coinage
were heavy and inconvenient for a lot of transactions, they were stored in
banks and a claim check was issued as a money substitute. People traded
their coupons as money, or "currency." Currency is not money, but a money
substitute. Redeemable currency must promise to pay a dollar equivalent in
gold or silver money. Federal Reserve Notes (FRNs) make no such promises,
and are not "money." A Federal Reserve Note is a debt obligation of the
federal United States government, not "money?' The federal United States
government and the U.S. Congress were not and have never been authorized by
the Constitution for the united states of America to issue currency of any
kind, but only lawful money, -gold and silver coin.
It is essential that we comprehend the distinction between real money and
paper money substitute. One cannot get rich by accumulating money
substitutes, one can only get deeper into debt. We the People no longer have
any "money." Most Americans have not been paid any "money" for a very long
time, perhaps not in their entire life. Now do you comprehend why you feel
broke? Now, do you understand why you are "bankrupt," along with the rest of
the country?
Federal Reserve Notes (FRNs) are unsigned checks written on a closed
account. FRNs are an inflatable paper system designed to create debt through
inflation (devaluation of currency). when ever there is an increase of the
supply of a money substitute in the economy without a corresponding increase
in the gold and silver backing, inflation occurs.
Inflation is an invisible form of taxation that irresponsible governments
inflict on their citizens. The Federal Reserve Bank who controls the supply
and movement of FRNs has everybody fooled. They have access to an unlimited
supply of FRNs, paying only for the printing costs of what they need. FRNs
are nothing more than promissory notes for U.S. Treasury securities
(T-Bills) - a promise to pay the debt to the Federal Reserve Bank.
There is a fundamental difference between "paying" and "discharging" a
debt. To pay a debt, you must pay with value or substance (i.e. gold,
silver, barter or a commodity). With FRNs, you can only discharge a debt.
You cannot pay a debt with a debt currency system. You cannot service a debt
with a currency that has no backing in value or substance. No contract in
Common law is valid unless it involves an exchange of "good & valuable
consideration." Unpayable debt transfers power and control to the sovereign
power structure that has no interest in money, law, equity or justice
because they have so much wealth already.
Their lust is for power and control. Since the inception of central
banking, they have controlled the fates of nations.
The Federal Reserve System is based on the Canon law and the principles of
sovereignty protected in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. In fact,
the international bankers used a "Canon Law Trust" as their model, adding
stock and naming it a "Joint Stock Trust." The U.S. Congress had passed a
law making it illegal for any legal "person" to duplicate a "Joint Stock
Trust" in 1873. The Federal Reserve Act was legislated post-facto (to 1870),
although post-facto laws are strictly forbidden by the Constitution. [1:9:3]
The Federal Reserve System is a sovereign power structure separate and
distinct from the federal United States government. The Federal Reserve is a
maritime lender, and/or maritime insurance underwriter to the federal United
States operating exclusively under Admiralty/Maritime law. The lender or
underwriter bears the risks, and the Maritime law compelling specific
performance in paying the interest, or premiums are the same.
Assets of the debtor can also be hypothecated (to pledge something as a
security without taking possession of it.) as security by the lender or
underwriter. The Federal Reserve Act stipulated that the interest on the
debt was to be paid in gold. There was no stipulation in the Federal Reserve
Act for ever paying the principle.
Prior to 1913, most Americans owned clear, allodial title to property, free
and clear of any liens or mortgages until the Federal Reserve Act (1913)
"Hypothecated" all property within the federal United States to the Board of
Governors of the Federal Reserve, -in which the Trustees (stockholders) held
legal title. The U.S. citizen (tenant, franchisee) was registered as a
"beneficiary" of the trust via his/her birth certificate. In 1933, the
federal United States hypothecated all of the present and future properties,
assets and labor of their "subjects," the 14th Amendment U.S. citizen, to
the Federal Reserve System.
In return, the Federal Reserve System agreed to extend the federal United
States corporation all the credit "money substitute" it needed. Like any
other debtor, the federal United States government had to assign collateral
and security to their creditors as a condition of the loan. Since the
federal United States didn't have any assets, they assigned the private
property of their "economic slaves", the U.S. citizens as collateral against
the unpayable federal debt. They also pledged the unincorporated federal
territories, national parks forests, birth certificates, and nonprofit
organizations, as collateral against the federal debt. All has already been
transferred as payment to the international bankers.
Unwittingly, America has returned to its pre-American Revolution, feudal
roots whereby all land is held by a sovereign and the common people had no
rights to hold allodial title to property. Once again, We the People are the
tenants and sharecroppers renting our own property from a Sovereign in the
guise of the Federal Reserve Bank. We the people have exchanged one master
for another.
This has been going on for over eighty years without the "informed
knowledge" of the American people, without a voice protesting loud enough.
Now it's easy to grasp why America is fundamentally bankrupt.
Why don't more people own their properties outright?
Why are 90% of Americans mortgaged to the hilt and have little or no assets
after all debts and liabilities have been paid? Why does it feel like you
are working harder and harder and getting less and less?
We are reaping what has been sown, and the results of our harvest is a
painful bankruptcy, and a foreclosure on American property, precious
liberties, and a way of life. Few of our elected representatives in
Washington, D.C. have dared to tell the truth. The federal United States is
bankrupt. Our children will inherit this unpayable debt, and the tyranny to
enforce paying it.
America has become completely bankrupt in world leadership, financial
credit and its reputation for courage, vision and human rights. This is an
undeclared economic war, bankruptcy, and economic slavery of the most
corrupt order! Wake up America! Take back
your Country."

Thanks for posting that speech
from Rep. Traficant. He sounds
more like one of the founding
patriots than most special
interest grubbing senators
nowadays.
He also sounds like he may
have read "The Creature From
Jeckyll Island" by G. Edward
Griffin, or any of a number of
similar books which expose
the world banking cartel in
dispassionate detail.
It's mind boggling that there
have been watchmen on the wall
all along. Constance as a watchman,
though not one focusing on the
banking aspect of this very well
conceived coup.
The saddest part of all is that we
technically could still defeat this
enemy which doesn't even have
a standing army of it's own.
The Constitution of the United
States has all the built-in provisions
that it needs to jettison these
"banksters". The national debt
is mostly or completely a
debt of interest money alone. The USA
could pay off this debt, to whoever
is holding it (CHINA), because they're
holding the debt but it's the
World Bank that is the one that
charged us all that interest on their
money, which they printed at their
pleasure with no real backing.
The truth is that it's the IMF, The
Central Bank of Banks in London,
England, who is BANKRUPT.
This may not be news to very
many here but there it is anyway.

I agree with Myron Fagan:
http://www.prolognet.qc.ca/clyde/eng.htm

_and even Ron Paul who has spelled
out the same exact conclusion, as has
Lyndon Larouche. Both of these two
have seemed to me at times to have
ulterior motives, but the story gets out
anyway, and particularly now with
a still-not-regulated internet.
Not much longer...

And let me just add a little more on Tim Wirth and his goddess worshiping pals...

If not outright responsible for the economic crisis now engulfing the world, the people who have created the Brooking’s, "A Plan for Action: A New Era of International Cooperation for a Changed World, Managing Global Insecurity", are the cheerleaders for the kind of “change” that our current economic collapse portends.

At least two decades ago, Wirth was leading the charge in claiming that the old economic order was not sufficiently weighted in favor of environmental concerns and controls. A new economic order, one that included what has come to be called “carbon credits” and global “energy taxes”, needed to be created. But first, the old economic order had to be done away with. As Wirth explains, “How can the present market, which determines the price of electricity, coal, and so on, possibly represent the true cost of these fuels or the energy produced from them if there is no charge for the environmental damage they do?”

[From the forward of “The Challenge of Global Warming”, as reprinted in the book, In Praise of Nature, by Stephanie Mills, forward byTom Brokaw, Jeanne Carstensen -Page 78]

http://books.google.com/books?id=JA5-lsHiDjAC&pg=PA75&lpg=PA75&dq=Tim+Wirth+Gaia&source=bl&ots=SCsMfuSXPR&sig=7IXGB6aAAgUMLYsIXe33AzPI1q4&hl=en#PPT1,M1

Former Vice-President Al Gore also praised goddess worship. Earth in the Balance is all about the establishment of a system of global governance based on a new “sustainable” environmental/economic order …

"The spiritual sense of our place in nature predates Native American cultures; increasingly it can be traced to the origins of human civilization. A growing number of anthropologists and archaeologists, such as Marija Gimbutas and Riane Eisler, argue that the prevailing ideology of belief in prehistoric Europe and much of the world was based on the worship of a single Earth Goddess, (Gaia) who was assumed to be the fount of all life and who radiated harmony among all living things. Much of the evidence for the existence of this primitive religion comes from the many thousands of artifacts uncovered in ceremonial sites. These sites are so widespread that they seem to confirm the notion that a goddess religion was ubiquitous throughout much of the world until the antecedents of today's religions — most of which have a distinctly masculine orientation — swept out of India and the Near East, almost obliterating belief in the Goddess. The last vestige of organized Goddess worship was eliminated by Christianity."

[Chapter 13, page 260 - Earth in the Balance — Ecology and the Human Spirit c. 1992]

In 2004, the left wing org, Renew America, reprinted the above quote and reinforced Gore’s idea…

“Today, people who believe in Gaia, the "earth goddess," also believe in order to protect Gaia the industrialized countries have to be prohibited from too much use of the world's natural resources, often referred to as "sustainable development." This blend of religion and nature found a welcome place in Washington DC through an organization Senators Al Gore, Timothy Wirth and James Jeffords were instrumental in creating — the NRPE ( National Religious Partnership for the Environment). They arranged congressional breakfasts with NRPE leaders and helped with funding.”

And now, in recognition that many of us will be with family for the Thanksgiving holiday, may we all bow are heads for a moment of prayer...

Yup, 7:06, it reminds me of the video clip of some guy on a financial show about a half year ago (I don't remember who, however), having a melt-down on camera, saying the people have no idea of just how bad the economy is, and what is coming.

Oldmanoftheski, excellent post; I marvel that these earth worshipers don’t understand the environmental damage done by the wars we bring on ourselves and the nihilism that is spawned. The micro effect is seen everywhere, in the prison population, addiction, and even litter; when people have no authority and fear no justice, barbarism is in the streets, and as the numbers of these lost people grow, our sense of violation not only decreases, but changes; it is in the change that God-fearing, country loving citizens become targets: that was noticeable when the courts said it was unlawful for a person to walk within a certain distance to an abortion clinic with a protest sign, or in the case of Canada, that homosexual rights trumps religious rights. When good becomes bad, where does that leave us?
Rich, thanks for the heads-up and the warning.

I searched through the Internet finding any other source that agreed with this article and have yet to find anything. Does one article mean something is true? Or because Ron Paul said or Lyndon LaRouche said or Alan Keyes said. I mean, some of these people are a little on the nutty side. Some of this is hard to believe. It's like someone telling you there really is a giant that lives in the clouds with a golden goose and the government is covering it up. Source: Jack, magic seeds imporium.

Just time to post one more before I leave for awhile..

Has anyone noticed that they choose photographs of the “goddess” to illustrate "A Plan for Action: A New Era of International Cooperation for a Changed World, Managing Global Insecurity"?

On page five we look up at the top of the Capitol dome, where Lady Liberty, aka “Isis” dominates the city, and by implication, the government of the United States.

Right next to her is a photo of the uppermost section of the Brandenburg Gate. On top of the gate is the Quadriga, the chariot drawn by four horses driven by Victoria, the Roman goddess of victory.
According to wikipedia, “The Gate's design is based upon the Propylaea, the gateway to the Acropolis in Athens, Greece”.

Is it just a coincidence that the carefully crafted Brookings document displays the “goddess” imagery so prominently? They could have used photographs showing the entirety of each building, but they chose to focus attention upwards on the pagan diety.

From Bloomberg News (11/21/08):

Saudi Arabia said it will join a fleet of NATO warships on an anti-piracy mission, as hijackers bolstered defenses around an oil-laden Saudi tanker captured off the East African coast.

The kingdom will contribute "naval assets to help in pursuing piracy in the region, and this is the only way this can be dealt with," Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal told reporters in Oslo today after meeting with his Norwegian counterpart, Jonas Gahr Stoere. "Negotiations and ransoms only encourage piracy and are not a solution."

Al-Faisal didn't provide details of the Saudi contribution to the forces in the Gulf of Aden, flanked by Somalia and Yemen and leading to the Suez Canal, where at least 91 merchant vessels have been attacked since January. The Saudi ship is being held for a ransom of $25 million.

From NewsMax (11/21/08):

Bush Hands Over Reins of U.S. Economy to EU

The results of the G-20 economic summit amount to nothing less than the seamless integration of the United States into the European economy.

In one month of legislation and one diplomatic meeting, the United States has unilaterally abdicated all the gains for the concept of free markets won by the Reagan administration and surrendered, in total, to the Western European model of socialism, stagnation, and excessive government regulation.

Sovereignty is out the window. Without a vote, we are suddenly members of the European Union. Given the dismal record of those nations at creating jobs and sustaining growth, merging with the Europeans is like a partnership with death.

At the G-20 meeting, Bush agreed to subject the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and our other regulatory agencies to the supervision of a global entity that would critique its regulatory standards and demand changes if it felt they were necessary. Bush agreed to create a College of Supervisors.

According to The Washington Post, it would “examine the books of major financial institutions that operate across national borders so regulators could begin to have a more complete picture of banks’ operations.”

Their scrutiny would extend to hedge funds and to various “exotic” financial instruments. The International Monetary Fund (IMF), a European-dominated operation, would conduct “regular vigorous reviews” of American financial institutions and practices.

The European-dominated College of Supervisors would also weigh in on issues like executive compensation and investment practices.

ATTENTION CONSTANCE:

Solana 'worried' by Iran's lack of cooperation on nuclear issue

WASHINGTON (AFP) Nov 22, 2008

European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana said Friday he was "worried" by an international watchdog's report that Iran is not cooperating with calls to stop its sensitive nuclear work.

"I am worried (by) the report of the Agency in Vienna," Solana told reporters after the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) issued its report on Wednesday.

Solana, tasked with the United States and five other world powers with presenting proposals to the Iranians to stop uranium enrichment, recalled that it is the second IAEA report to say "they are not cooperating."

"And some of the figures he offers about the quantities, the number of centrifuges, are troublesome," Solana added.

A top diplomat close to the IAEA said Iran was using some 3,800 centrifuges on November 7 and was ready to get 2,200 more working.

The IAEA in a restricted report, a copy of which was obtained by AFP, said that "contrary to the decisions of the (UN) Security Council, Iran has not suspended its enrichment-related activities."

And "as a result of the lack of cooperation by Iran in connection with the alleged studies and other associated key remaining issues of serious concern, the agency has not been able to make substantive progress," it added.

The United States has joined powers China, Russia, Britain, France and Germany in pushing for sanctions against Iran. The Security Council has imposed three sets of sanctions on Tehran over its refusal to halt uranium enrichment.

Solana said he hoped that the Obama administration will be "more engaged" in negotiations with Tehran over its nuclear program and that it take part "fully" in the negotiations with the five other powers and Iran.

For the first time during George W. Bush's administration, third-ranking diplomat William Burns joined Iran's chief negotiator Said Jalili and their counterparts from the five other powers at talks in Geneva in July.

Having long insisted that Iran suspend enrichment before meeting its nuclear envoys, officials from the Bush's administration effectively dropped their pre-conditions, analysts said at the time.

Solana, who last met Jalili in August, hoped new contacts with Iran would take place soon.

"There may be another contact in November. Not at my level. It will be below my level. My deputy and their deputy. It is not confirmed yet. It would not be a big event with publicity, it would be a discrete meeting," he said.

The top EU diplomat said he did not expect new UN Security Council sanctions against Iran before the Obama administration assumes its duties on January 20.

"From here to the new administration, I don't think there will be fundamental change on new sanctions. It does not mean that we do not continue applying sanctions," Solana said.

The major powers are trying to get Iran to suspend uranium enrichment in exchange for an offer of broad cooperation that was presented twice, once in June 2006 and then again in June this year.

Washington and its western allies charge that Tehran's nuclear program is a covert one aimed at building a bomb. Iran denies the charges, saying it is for generating electricity.

Paul, it appears that you have a “thorn in the flesh.” If I can be of any help please feel free to e-mail me. As far as I am concerned you are family, and this constant attack against you is having a distasteful effect on me.

Anonymous said...

To Setterman (7:08),

Paul has waged an attack on Maryanne (Young Grasshopper) in an earlier thread.

Are you going to reach out and offer support to Maryanne as well?

Maryanne, I've reached out before to you on this blog, and I will again -- in this instance, pay Paul no mind.

Young Grasshopper said...

Paul attacked me on a previous thread? Just reading this Sunday morning and I choked on my coffee.

Where? I don't believe it. Paul is a friend, I think?

Young Grasshopper said...

Paul and anonymous,

Okay, well, I found it, and I am terribly hurt.

I have made it a point to not get involved in fights here between Jews and Christians and Catholics and protestants. I did follow some of the thread in which Paul accuses me of being anonymous, and I will throw my ADD thoughts into the mix. In my opinion, it was either Dorothy or Susanna that was fighting with Paul, based upon the information they had, which is way more than I could possibly possess since I only began coming here since July of this year.

I truly hope that whoever anonymous is, will have the decency to make themselves known, since I am now the innocent victim of attacks here.

I have felt for a very long time that Constance does not like me- ever since I inadvertently dropped the dreaded Kah word here, however, I never thought anyone else here had it in for me. That being said I had thought Rudi was ridiculing me recently and I was dead wrong about that.

I have been avoiding this blog because there is so much negativity here. I need to stay away as God has definitely warned me that this place, while a good source of information, is also deadly to the sensitive spirit.

Paul, I really know little about you other than that you have a sense of humor, are a musician, and seem extremely bright.

I would have no reason to carry on a long anonymous discourse with you about subjects that I know literally nothing about- i.e. - Catholic history.

I'm off to church to hopefully get over this.

To Maryanne/YG (9:27 AM)

Believe me, Maryanne this is not ABOUT you. Paul has "issues" that only Dr. Phil could help him penetrate.

Psul's paranoia is running away from him. It seems that it's OK for him to attack, but it's not OK for Catholics to defend those attacks.

Also, I told him (on the November 18th thread) that he owes YOU an apology.

A couple of us choose to remain "Anonymous" because Catholics on this blog are often treated like dog poop that's been left on the bottom of someone's shoe.

We Catholics sre sick and tired of it, and we're not going to take it anymore.

Anonymous said...

Anonyomous 9:49 AM,

I'm a non-denominational Christian who grew up Catholic. I'm afraid I have to agree with your observations about how Catholics are often treated here.

Growing up, I heard an earful from a couple of my neighbors, members of the Evangelical Free Church, one of whom was studying for the ministry at a well-known Bible Institute. They used to pull me into a third-degree interrogation about whether or not I "believed the Bible (the New Testament) was the 'Word of God'" and our "only source of Truth."

One day, I said, "What would you have said to St. Paul, on the road from Damascus, since the 'Word of God,' as you define it, did not exist at that time?"

"Mr. Bible student" didn't have a response for that one!

Evangelicals who define their identity in opposition to Catholicism are, unfortunately, a common phenomenon.

The one notable exception I've found is Christians from the Black community (although I'm not sure they would call themselves "Evangelicals"). I have lived for many years in a mixed race neighborhood. This is anecdotal of course, but even when I was Catholic, I didn't find this kind of superior attitude of "challenging" me on my religion, and always being up for a fight, from the ones I knew. That we both shared a faith in Christ Jesus was enough for them to treat me as a "sister in Christ." It definitely gave me something to think about.

I'm sorry to see that more of the "same old same old" has happened to you on this discussion board.

Your Sister in Christ,

Luz

To all concerned,
Although I've chosen to stay out of the particular dissent on these last few threads, I decided to add just a thought that has been laying on my heart.
In Corrie Ten Boom's THE HIDING PLACE, she describes the concentration camps and the prisoners there. As I try, in my limited imagination, to comprehend the description of their world at that time, I reflect on the fact that there were peoples of every faith and background represented in those prisons. Yet, they clung together with every limited kindness, with every word of hope from God's Word, and with true faith, hope and love. They had no other physical thing but each other as they prayed together and found hope and comfort in the Word of Jehovah.
If history repeats itself, and we find ourselves as Jew, Protestant, and Catholic persecuted for our fundamental faith in one true Jehovah God Almighty, what fruitfulness is there at this time, or then, to rile up dissent among us? We will need each other in the near future.
How amazing it is that God has provided such a forum as this that assists us in discerning the times! Where all of us can come together and agree that we need to support, pray for, and warn one another, all of those that we love, and all those who will lend an ear to listen in our communities.
Maybe I'm just silly, but, I've learned to love and pray for each of you each day. I've learned to be thankful for each of our differences, because we each see the news, and the daily events, and the Word of God so uniquely!
So, I hope you know, dear Constance, how much I thank God for you and all of the amazing gifts that He has given you that you share so generously.
I hope that we can all come together with renewed strength for the battle ahead, for it will be just as difficult and bloodthirsty a battlefield as it was in Corrie's time.

With love,
-SV

To Paul,

After returning home from church I just went back and re-read this entire thread. I want to thank you first off for giving me credit for having more brains, or knowledge, than I actually have. I would definitely say that it appears from all the information that at least two of the anonymous posters have written regarding Catholicism and St. Ignacius of Loyola, whose history I wouldn't know if it fell across me, that two of the above posters are staunch Catholics.

I would like to just say that although I was born and raised a Catholic, I left the Catholic church in the early 1990's when I needed spiritual help and couldn't get it from within the Roman Catholic church. I even wrote about that incident here on this blog, when a pagan Wiccan teacher from my dance school was infiltrating my students with New Age theology and I went under spiritual warfare. I believe that I first wrote about the incident back in July when I FIRST CAME TO THIS BLOG thanks to Dorothy, who had found my blog, the Obama Nation and contacted me. Dorothy befriended me and it's obvious to me (because I recognize her writing style), that she is one of the anonymous posters currently sticking up for me here. Thanks Dorothy, by the way.

That being said I have been an evangelical Christian ever since, and went from an Assembly of God church in Pa. to a small non- denominational evangelical church here in Florida.

Ironically, I have been reprimanded more than once by Susanna that some of the things I had said here offended her faith, and since that time I have tried to be much more sensitive of what I say. However, I have also been more than a little upset with some of the Miriam Franklin followers on this blog who sometimes seem to me as if they are looking for bogeyman in every single evangelical church that's still left standing true to the word of God. Laying hands on people for healing, speaking in tongues, and being slain in the spirit are very "normal" things in my church, so I take a little offense when people call it mysticism. However, as the Todd Bentley situation has shown me, I do need to be wary of heresy within the evangelical churches, but to some extent I feel that the finger-pointing has gone overboard, and that is what I have meant when I cautioned Christians to not "grieve the spirit".

In addition ,in re-reading the comments it appears as though your antagonizer was once upon a time in another argument with you and accused you of being anti-semetic.

There again, the ironic thing about this is that Constance pretty much alluded to me being anti-semetic just for mentioning a book here that I'd read , and which she disagreed with because the author had cited a source in his bibliography of someone who was definitely anti-semetic.

So the crazy thing is, you come out and accuse me of things that are totally antithetical to my character. In addition, you accuse me of accusing you of being anti- Catholic and anti-semetic, when I've basically been accused of the exact same things at some point or other here on this blog.

Does that really make sense, Paul?

#1. I have not considered myself Catholic in almost 20 years, so why would I be defending Ignacious of Loyola whose name I only know because Loyola Hall was the name of the cafeteria of the Catholic school I attended 50 years ago when I was 7?

#2. I remember another Catholic-Protestant fight that went back and forth here for weeks during the summer and I remember I stopped reading the blog at that time because I had absolutely NO INTEREST in the topic. Truth is I have skipped right past all the dopey stuff that has transpired between you and the anonymi commenters here over the past few days, because I was still not interested. Therefore, I was very shocked to see my name come up here in conjunction with you when I read this blog early this morning.

#3. Why did you pick me out of all the posters here? That is the most puzzling of all, since I thought you were a good guy, who gave me some advice about sound when I had the haunted house experience. That frankly, Paul, was how I related to you- the good guy that gave me advice and seems to have a dry sense of humor. Where in the world did you come to the conclusion that I'd waste the time to get into a horrendously nasty fight with you- even calling you a gold fish brain and accuse you of doing crossword puzzles? Do I actually sound like that???!!!!

I'll also venture to say, at the risk of getting attacked myself, that I actually agreed with your comment somewhere above, and have always thought the Jesuits were a little too secretive, too. I also will bring up the dreaded Gary Kah name again and say that basically all I know about Pierre Teilhard de Chardin is what I learned from Kah's book, and it did cite him as being a Jesuit. That being said I certainly would not link all Jesuits in with him, but he was certainly a vile character, and I hope my former church has renounced him by now.

In conclusion, I think that Constance might want to consider eliminating anonymous posting altogether, since this causes hurt feelings, mis-understandings, and false accusations. I explained at length why I had begun posting anonymously just this past week, and I am not going to repeat it here. However, even when I posted under anonymous I signed my initials or my name at the end of the post with maybe 1 exception.

I am not asking for an apology, but I really do want to know how in the world you came up with such a nonsensical analysis of who your antagonizer actually was!

I am baffled- totally baffled.

To whom it may concern:

Just want to clarify something here. I was not in any way fighting with Paul in a previous thread. Moreover, I can't remember EVER having had a fight with Paul.

As a matter of fact, I was under the assumption that Paul and I were merely having a good-natured banter about the issue of Jesus driving the moneychangers out of the temple with a whip.

I laughed out loud when he expressed what I perceived to be mock-disappointment that I might not have been pleased with his comment despite the fact that he even went to the trouble to mention St. Augustine. (LOL I still laugh out loud when I think of it.)

I interpreted Paul's reply as half-kidding around on his part and I admitted to him that when I first read his comment I was tired and probably missed his meaning.....but that upon rereading his comment, I felt that he had already answered my question and I simply didn't "get it" on the first reading....not through any fault of his, but, again, simply because I was tired when I read it the first time.

I asked him - also half-kiddingly -if I had it right the second time around.

Unfortunately, on blogs, you don't get to see a person's body language so it is easy to misunderstand a person's meaning.

But after the rip-roaring good time Paul and I had over the GREEN IS THE NEW RED banter a while back ( Constance even joined in on the fun and said she thought our little "road show" was "ready for prime time" on her radio program), I didn't think for one minute that Paul's intention was to attack me in any way.

And one more thing. I sign all my comments.

LOL Paul, you never DID answer my question. Did I get your meaning right the SECOND time I read your comment?

To SV,

Thank you for your wise, compassionate, and courageous words from which we can all learn a great deal.

You are a gift to the readers of this blog.

To Young Grasshopper,

If anything needs to be "banned" here it is "uncharitable behavior." Unless such behavior is rooted out, it will continue to flourish. This can, however, be accomplished short of censorship. We all have a role to play in this regard, namely, by admonishing in certain circumstances and not letting our "buddies" treat others with contempt and marginalize them because of their religious views. This requires taking the focus off ourselves and our own hurt feelings and thinking about how others might be affected by certain words directed at them, and sticking up for them--even when we ourselves are not in the "firing line."

I've stuck up for you, and others, on this blog on numerous occasions and attempted to hold others to account, and I hope to continue to do so if and when comments get out of hand. I would be overjoyed to see more people here do the same.

Just to clarify: Dorothy is NOT one of the anonymous posters (or as you expressed it so eloquently: one of Paul's "antagonizers" . . . who write "all the dopey stuff").

The reason that I know this is because I am one of the anonymous posters and I happen to know who the other one is.

I am happy that I came to your defense earlier today just the same, as it bothered me greatly that Paul was making false accusations agsinst you.

I'm sure that you and Paul will kiss and make up, especially when he has time to realize that you fall into the "former Catholic" category.
