I updated it so refresh your browser for that post -- on it I included in the middle a video by a Christian watcher who had concerns very, very similar to my own. His conclusions were that Trump did some good things while in office, but his present positions in the "God Made Trump" video approached very, very close to blasphemy. This morning I discovered a vifdeo from a political observer named Leeja Miller. I know nothing about her religion nor other preferences, but I was an undergaduate Political Science major holding major political jobs (Administrative Assistant and Legislative Analyst to the MichiganSpeaker of the House) and thereafter before starting law school in January 1972 as Executive Assistant to the Mayor for the then more viable city of Highland Park, Michigan, an enclave of Detroit. You need to watch her video. She featured some material by Steve Hassan, a cult expert who was once a Moonie. He left the Moonies after his parents had him deprogrammed and he has been eternally grateful to them for that intervention. He has carefully studied cult tactics. Basic human rights should include rights for every human, including babies in the womb. But Swift does not believe in those rights, though she claims to be a Christian. She may be misleading her impressionable young fans as well.
Christianity teaches that abortion is wrong because it kills an innocent human being, created in God’s image. The Bible may not specifically mention the word “abortion,” but it clearly does condemn the life-destroying practice. Even in ancient times, babies in the womb were viewed as valuable, as is evident in Luke 1:41. Jesus placed great value on children when others in society did not in Matthew 19:14, and Proverbs 6:16-17 states that one of the things God hates most is the shedding of innocent blood. One of the ten commandments prohibits murder.

I reject the entire Dispensationalist system as fiction and conspiracy theory.
It makes it hard to evangelize to Jews when they know that Christian Zionists are enthusiastic for Jews to go to Israel and rebuild their temple, only to have it last a mere 3 1/2 years and for two-thirds of them to be slaughtered as a punishment for the sins for far distant ancestors, even though their more recent ancestors have been through many pogroms, much loss of land children, and the Holocaust.
Every time futurist prophecy claims are made and go unfulfilled it makes us look like we are putting blind faith in fiction and renders the entire faith unreliable appearing. This makes church apologetics harder with the unbelieving world. Calivinism doesn't excuse it. Jesus didn't have anything good to say about people who put stumbling blocks in the way of other people.
The only way to handle Old Testament prophecy in a Biblical way is to learn to understand Hebrew apocalyptic and poetic language by studying it. Then after that the puzzle must be put together with the scattered pieces. But the scattered pieces must be found as if by a treasure hunt through the pages of the Bible.
When you think about it, if your spiritual focus has turned to the creation of your own imagination, it is almost like creating an idol with your own hands and turning to it. You may not be able to see or touch it, but yet it is a creation of your own imagination, just like an idol was the creation of the hands of the ancients.
Even the early church fathers didn't understand prophecy very well, because they were Hellenized men, not Hebrew men. They had become cut off from the Hebrew roots of the church after the Bar Kokhba revolt.
It was only the Messianic Jews of the early church who understood the prophecy, and this is reflected in the writings of most of the New Testament authors.
It wasn't really necessary for the early gentile church to understand the Old Testament prophecies that pertained to Israel. They knew enough to be martyred rather than idolatrous, as all Christians have known in every culture and every age in which they have been persecuted, to this very day in countries like Nigeria, Iran, China and North Korea.
Christianity isn't supposed to be about witch hunts or conspiracy theories. Turn from these. They are phantoms created to scare you like the Wizard of Oz. There are enough real problems to be solved and there are enough real truths to be told.
Jesus is the King right now. All authority in heaven and earth has been given to Him (Matthew 28:18). He is sitting at the right hand of the Father in heaven until He makes all of His enemies His footstool (Luke 20:43, Acts 2:35-39, Psalm 110:1).
The male child, Jesus, was born before the labor pains of Israel, the tribulation of the Jewish Roman War. Her great travail was immediately followed by the resurrection (Isaiah 66). Why else would she feel joy after her sorrow? What else did it mean, ultimately, being born again from above (John 3:3)?
The twelve apostles rule as judges of the twelve tribes (Matthew 19:28). The place where they rule is in heaven, in the Father's house, which has many mansions (John 14:2-3). Gentile Christian sojourners stream into the twelve tribes fulfilling the Feast of Tabernacles (Zechariah 14:16).
If the Feast of Tabernacles has not been fulfilled, then Christians should still be keeping this Holy Day. Jesus said not one jot or tittle of the law would pass away until all was fulfilled (Matthew 5:18). Jesus made it clear that the time of fulfillment was in His generation. In fact, He plainly stated that the law and the prophets were until John the Baptist (Luke 16:16).
It is simple to understand if only one can read it in an unfiltered way. Filters like Dispensationalism cloud understanding.
There is not less hope with this comprehension. There is more hope. There is the hope of being immediately in the presence of God upon death, being clothed with the resurrection body that shines brightly (Daniel 12:3, Isaiah 60:1, Matthew 17:1-8, Matthew 13:43). This as opposed to the disembodied soul resting in a holding pattern in the Abraham's Bosom sector of Hades (Luke 20:38, Luke 16:22-23).
What do you want instead? Do you hope for physical Israel to rule the world? Do you hope for billions of unbelievers to be suddenly destroyed and have no more hope of repentance and eternal life? Do you hope for all of the beauty of the created world to be burned up in a fire all over the whole world, including every mountain range and every ocean, every coral reef, and all the wildlife and everybody's pet?
Do you just want to watch the world burn?

Transcript: Before I begin, I’m starting to think maybe I should do a video called “This Week in Crazy Comments,” because hardly a day goes by without some of the most disturbing, outlandish, and blasphemous comments imaginable from Trump fans.
They speak of Trump as being similar to Jesus, attribute to him ridiculous things like giving us back the sun and the moon, and without any irony, refer to others as suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome. In reality, the TDS applies perfectly to them.
It is sad that these people, many of which identify as Christian, have no self-awareness. As if they’re mindlessly repeating these things, unaware of how they really sound. Of course, the bible has a couple of words to describe what’s happening, and those two words are: strong delusion.
However, what I wanted to talk about was another type of comment that comes up quite frequently. The comment basically states that I am judging Trump by talking about him as being the Antichrist. Of course, we all know that God is the true judge, not us, because only God can be perfectly just.
Importantly, we first have to recognize that the bible DOES give us a number of specific descriptions about the Antichrist, both his character and his actions. These descriptions are for US, so that we don’t fall away from the faith, and follow the Man of Sin down the road to perdition.
Here’s how we know that these descriptions of the Antichrist are for us: In Matthew 24:42, Jesus said, “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” What it is that Jesus tells us to watch for? The entire chapter of Matthew 24 holds the answer.
At the beginning of Matthew 24, the disciples came to Jesus and asked him this: “Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Jesus then talked extensively about precisely those things: the sign of his coming, and of the end of the world.
One of the things that Jesus mentioned in Matthew 24 was the prophecy of Daniel, about how the abomination of desolation will stand in the holy place. This is the Antichrist standing in the third temple proclaiming himself to be God. It is one of the things we are to watch out for.
Thus, knowing who matches the biblical descriptions for the Antichrist helps us to watch out for that particular event. Not only so that we can keep an eye on the man we believe to be the Antichrist, but so that we can also help our fellow Christians not be deluded by him and fall away from the faith.
In addition, the bible talks about our having discernment and a sound mind, and tells us “by their fruits you shall know them.” That is how we can know who the Man of Sin is: his words; his actions; how he’s been his entire life. His fruits.
So, no, I am not judging Trump because God is our only judge. I do, however, along with many others, point out how Trump perfectly lines up with the biblical Antichrist. That is not judging him, but rather, it is heeding the Word of God.
To close out on a more humorous note, as many of us saw, Trump casually suggested that he looks a lot like Elvis. And a young Elvis, at that. So, I guess in between finding videos about himself being just like the King of Kings, Trump also doesn’t mind the comparison to the King of Rock and Roll.

I agree with you. God does not bless false beliefs. It would be misleading of Him if He did. He is merciful to forgive those who know not what they do, to let them learn from their mistakes, to call them back to the straight and narrow path and the discernment of truth, all in His way in His time with perfect justice, mercy and omniscience.

I agree with your post. However, I'm not so sure that Constance is 'of His flock.' I certainly do not trust her. The reason being is that, over a LONG period of time, she has viciously attacked Bible believing Christians with a vengeance while displaying a condemning, hated filled judgmental spirit that is certainly not of God. At times, she is downright hysterical. Her obsession with the industry (Brother Paul) that concentrates virtually all of its efforts with liberal speculation regarding the identity of the antichrist is very telling. It's almost as if the faith of these people is centered upon the antichrist, and not Christ Himself. In relative terms, the Bible does not reveal much in the way of specifics regarding the 'Man of Sin.' It does go into a great deal of specifics as to what we are to focus our life upon and how to live it to the glory of God.
One more point; try to imagine attempting to preach the gospel to a person that merely supports Trump politically, while fanatically proclaiming to them that Trump is the 'antichrist.' What kind of response do you think one might get with that approach? They'll write you off as a complete nut. And yet, that is exactly the approach of these false teachers like Brother Paul and Brother James Key.

Christians can get off track. But God has ways to get them back on it, and hope they do.
Unbelievers still have time to get on track with the Gospel too, but it is the Holy Spirit's time and doing. Not ours. Ours is to pray, spread the Good News, and stay focused on where (Who) our help really comes from. But it is a choice and though time is getting short, because whatever belief we have, we should be believing that Jesus will return at a time we don't know but it does feel close and this is my own thinking. The early Church was looking for Him to come, and that's all over the writings of the real Brother Paul who wrote most of the New testament, not video world "Bro Paul" of the church of what's happen'n now (and yes, sensationalism/speculations do sell).

Yes, indeed, the early church was expecting Jesus to return in their generation, and He did. He was not a false prophet. They didn't misunderstand Him. They understood Him better than we do, because they were Jewish, and He was Jewish.
They along with their gentile sojourners gathered from other nations, the same other nations that had been prophesied as early as the prophesy of Jacob to his sons about the latter days of their tribes. Jacob said the scepter would not depart from Judah until Shiloh would come. To Him would be the obedience of the nations. The song of Moses contained another early prophesy about the judgement of Israel and the gathering of the believers from the nations.
In the Parable of the Wedding Feast (Matthew 22) Jesus gave an outline of what would happen. First God would sends messengers (apostles) to announce the wedding (the good news of the kingdom of God), then the messengers are killed (Jesus is crucified, his apostles are martyred, his church is persecuted). God then destroys those who killed his messengers, and burns their city, Jerusalem. (Through the Roman legions in the same historical pattern as using another nation to judge Israel and then judging that other nation.) Immediately after, the wedding and wedding feast take place. And, at the wedding feast judgment begins. All those that had been held in Hades are separated, as those clothed in the wedding garments (that is clothed in the righteousness of Christ) are reclining at rest, and the one who is not properly clothed in the righteousness of Christ is cast into outer darkness.
This parable shows that the preaching of the good news of the kingdom was followed by the killings of the messengers, with Jesus being killed first. That was followed by judgement, first judgement of Jerusalem, then resurrection and judgment. The wedding feast already happened. The resurrection already happened.
Now the judgment is ongoing. Every time a person dies he or she can be immediately judged. In this way the nations continue to stream into the New Jerusalem to fulfill the Feast of Tabernacles. If it has not been fulfilled then for 2,000 years Christians have been lawbreakers because Jesus said not one jot or tittle would pass away until all was fulfilled. Christians have not been keeping the Feast of Tabernacles as a Holy Day.
To be consistent, Futurists should be keeping every jot and tittle of the Mosaic law, since they believe that all has not been fulfilled. Yet they are not. This is because they don't really understand the Old Testament law and prophets, the typology of the feasts, Hebrew poetic language, Hebrew apocalyptic language, or anything else Jewish or Old Testament.
They don't understand because they are heavily Greek influenced to this very day, causing them to be too woodenly literal-minded in their handling of figurative and idiomatic language in the Bible. If the Greeks had been the people of God all the way back to Moses, then it would have been different.
It hasn't really been necessary for Christians to understand the prophecies that had pertained to Israel's judgement, since it was already past for them, after it happened. But what makes it necessary now to understand prophetic fulfillment in Israel's past is that millions of people are being misled by false teachings.
Because Jesus was a true prophet we can be assured of our place in the kingdom of heaven if we obey His commandments and become baptized and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Because of this we can be assured that indeed He will come to us, imminently and soon, when we die. We can know that His Word was true.
We can be more effective when we tell people the good news, because fulfilled prophesy is helpful for Christian apologetics. False predictions are bad for Christian apologetics. It makes the whole thing look like a sham. It matters. Israel was criticized by prophets who said that the name of God was blasphemed among the nations because of them. Shouldn't Christians look at that and learn from it? We should avoid doing and saying things that cause the name of God to be blasphemed among unbelievers.

Is it really necessary to point out the audience relevance of those scriptures you cited? Before deciding how they apply to us, it's necessary to first understand how they applied to their original audience. Before anticipating a prophesy to be fulfilled, it's first necessary to understand if it was fulfilled in the past; and if so, how it was fulfilled.
There were times when Jesus explained to His disciples the meanings of some of His parables, and these clear explanations were at times recorded in the gospels.
Moral meanings should be emphasized over secret gnosis meanings. Gnosticism taught that we are enslaved to ignorance, not sin. Therefore to become free was to attain knowledge, not to become righteous.
Valentinus almost became the Bishop of Rome. He was a very popular gnostic early church leader in the early Catholic church. Later he was declared a heretic by some heresy hunters, but it was scattered. There was not yet a top authority to declare heresy in the early church.
Valentinus was taught by Thadeus, who claimed to have been taught by Paul. There is no way to verify the claim. I am only noting the claim for the historical record.
Notably, Valentinus twisted the words of Jesus, quoted by you, to claim that Jesus taught a secret gnostic oral tradition and only revealed it to His apostles. He thought Paul was the premier apostle who had been taught a secret gnostic oral tradition by appearances of the post-resurrection, ascended Jesus.
Be careful not to follow in the footsteps of Valentinus.
Audience relevance. The "little horn" and the "man of sin" are references to the quintessential Jewish nemesis. There were two historical fulfillments. First Antiochus Epiphanies and then Titus, son of Vespasian, leader of the Roman legions (from nations across the Roman empire) who surrounded Jerusalem, causer of the desolation of the temple. Both Antiochus Epiphanies and Titus sacrificed a pig in the temple. Both destroyed the temple.
If you are expecting another fulfillment in the future, as a Dispensationalist who believes Trump is the man of sin and the little horn, this means that Donald Trump will need to sacrifice a pig in the rebuilt temple in Jerusalem, after having led armies that surrounded Jerusalem, and then Trump will need to completely destroy the rebuilt temple after he sacrifices a pig and becomes worshiped as a conquering emperor god by the men in his armies. He will need to kill all the Jews in Jerusalem who refuse to worship him as a conquering emperor god.
If you aren't laughing by now, then you may need to take a break from all of your videos and internet time and do a lot of praying. If that still doesn't work, then please seek professional help from a qualified Christian counselor.

P.S. God allowed it those two historical abominations of desolation to be displayed to the unrepentant people because they were only literal representations of where they were already at spiritually. He had held his arms outstretched to them all day long, but they had remained stiff necked.
Jesus was killed for money, and He often spoke words about this. Judas Iscariot was a representation of this. The harlot riding the beast in Revelation was yet another representation. Warnings that you can't serve two masters--you can't serve both God and Mammon--were yet another way of pointing it out. If you look you will find it is actually extremely redundant. How many more ways could He have said it?
That is the characteristic of the Words of Jesus. He meant what He said, and He said what He meant, plainly, many times. These plain words help unlock the meanings of parables and prophecies.
It's not that Jesus' words are hard to understand. It's that they are hard to accept. One tends to think, could He have really meant that? It's too hard. Or it's too obvious and easy to gloss over and forget.
It's necessary to let the words sink in and to water them and allow them to grow in the heart and eventually bear fruit. If you just commit them to memory, there will come a time when you will understand them, and they will not seem hard. They will instead seem helpful. They will make sense. They will aid in decision making.
He said it all. It's all right there. You can't serve both God and Mammon. The Jerusalem elite were very, very rich. They were receiving tithes from all over Judea. King Herod the Tetrarch was in bed with Rome. Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's. Render unto God what is God's. You can't serve both God and Mammon. It will be easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. How much more clearly could Jesus have said it? It's not hard to figure it out at all. It's just hard to accept it. That's how it goes with the Word.

A traditional saying in Israel had become popular, stated as “no one knows the day or the hour.” Jesus used this Hebraic idiom in Matthew 24:36: "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only."
In fact, to Hebrews of the day, it was an idiom referring to the Feast of Trumpets. Jesus deliberately used the idiom of the day for the Feast of Trumpets. The Feast of Trumpets, or Yom Teruah, was a memorial day, a day of remembrance. The city of Jericho had fallen at the blast of trumpets (Joshua 6:1-5, just as Jerusalem was to fall at the blast of trumpets during the Feast of Trumpets. The 4th “shophar” trumpet blown on the Day of Trumpets is known in Hebrew as the “Tekiah Gedolah” or “the last trump."
Jesus went on to explain in Matthew 25:1-13 the parable of the five foolish virgins who did not prepare before the wedding day. They did not watch and plan ahead. Hebrews knew they needed to watch and plan ahead for Yom Teruah, the Feast of Trumpets, as they did not know the day or the hour of the memorial.
Jews today are teaching that Yom Teruah, the Feast of Trumpets, is about a still future coming of the “real” Messiah. They don't recognize that Jesus kept his promise in which He told His disciples what to watch for and when it would happen in THEIR generation (Matthew 24:34).
This first day of the seventh month was called Yom Teruah, Day of Trumpets. Psalm 81:3-4: "Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day. For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.” The Sanhedrin was responsible for declaring the beginning of a new month – new moon.
This is why the Hebrews could understand that they couldn't know the exact day of the new moon but they could still watch and prepare for when it was coming to be ready to keep the Feast of Trumpets. When Jesus used the Hebrew idiom for the Feast of Trumpets he signaled to His listeners that He would be returning for judgement at the time of the Feast of Trumpets.
Christians are taking this Hebraic idiom too literally and are missing what it is conveying. And if they are looking for a still future fulfillment of it they are repeating the same mistake of the Jews who live today and wait for the first coming of their Messiah.
Ancient Hebrew wedding customs can be studied for fuller comprehension of the Parable of the Wedding Feast and how it ties into the Feast of Trumpets and the Hebrew idiom that nobody knows the day or the hour.

Nobody is monitoring this blog for content and quickly deleting posts. Occasionally, Mrs. Cumbey will edit a post out when she's around and able to read but there's a marker left indicating that she deleted it as the administrator.
My guess it that it was the profanity filter. It lets you post a post and YOU see it's there but then you refresh and it's just gone. You hit the back button and copy/paste, make a few changes like respelling or adding symbols to a few key words like "pro$titute" and hit enter, refresh and check again if it stuck.
If you didn't make any changes to your post I have no idea how you ended up getting it to stick. I've had times I couldn't find the offending word being filtered and just gave up.
