The Revolution IS being televised!

I was quietly working at my computer tonight, trying to figure out how to use Zoom for communication.  I spent a few hours watching how to YouTube videos and reviewing some books in my library.  I finally decided it was time to call it a night and retire to bed.

My husband called out, "Connie, have you seen this?"  I thought perhaps he was watching a movie or had made a YouTube music video find.  There on the screen was obviously what appears to be a full blown revolution in progress.  It was progressing exactly as the New Age books and publications had described it might when I discovered that Movement back in 1981.

Isobel Blackthorn, to my amusement, suggested in her books on the life of Alice Ann Bailey that I had slowed the "progress" of Alice Bailey's dreams by nearly 40 years.  Be that as it may, it appears to me that it IS happening and it IS HAPPENING NOW!

Chris Cuomo on CNN just announced the Supreme Court had just released a decision against the California church challenging the right to gather restrictions under the guise of the Pandemic emergency orders.  According to Cuomo, the United States Supreme Court had ruled 5 to 4 with Justice Roberts siding with the liberal judges on the bench that there was not an unfettered right to worship -- to believe, yes, but to worship, no.

As Jesus warned his disciples, "Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is night:  so likewise ye, when ye shall see all these tings, know that is near, even at the doors.  Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."  (Matthew 24: 32-35, KJV)

Scoffers over the years have claimed that Jesus told his own generation they would not pass until all was fulfilled.   Clearly, the context of Jesus' remarks in that same context indicated that these were things that would take place over a long period of time.  He was instructing that the generation alive when these things began to happen would not pass until all was fulfilled.  There would be world wars, earthquakes, false christs and messiahs arising deceiving many.  Further, Jesus said (Matthew 24:6:  And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars:  see that ye be not troubled:  for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:  and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers[e] places.  All these are the beginning of sorrows."

It appears to me that the prophesied times are here.  I am fearful for those who thought they would be raptured out before they came -- that they would be in heaven in 3 1/2 years before the antichrist was revealed.  Clearly, such a teaching contradicts Scripture.  Read 2 Thessalonians very carefully.  The gathering together to our Lord would not occur until after the Man of Perdition was revealed.

May the Lord strengthen our faith and our resolve to "keep on keeping on."  We must trust God now matter how it comes down.  He's got the big picture, we've got the little one.

Stay faithful and stay tuned!

ANALYSIS: George Floyd was deliberately murdered, right on schedule to unleash race riots across America to cause even more chaos.

As I know very well due to my many years of training alongside law enforcement and military veterans, police officers are specifically trained to avoid pushing their body weight, through their knee, onto a suspect’s throat or neck for the simple reason that doing so causes severe injury or death. Any police officer that deliberately places their knee (and hence, their body weight) on the neck of a suspect who is pinned against the ground is doing so out of a premeditated desire to cause death.

The question isn’t whether George Floyd was murdered — he clearly was — the real question is why he was murdered.

Who benefits from the death of George Floyd?

The answer, of course, is that the forces of chaos and destruction (i.e. anti-American, anti-Trump) benefit from his murder. The more chaos and destruction is unleashed during this election year, the more the media hypes up the disaster and assigns blame to President Trump. Logically, it’s absurd, since President Trump had nothing to do with the murder of George Floyd. But emotionally, the media propaganda messaging whips up fear, anger and frustration — emotions that will largely be translated into anti-Trump sentiment in the coming elections.

This comes on the heels of Joe Biden telling a black interview host, “You ain’t black” if you don’t vote for me. The black community was rightfully outraged. Democrats experienced a wave of horror in old “crazy Joe’s” comments, realizing that if they didn’t do something to get the black vote to swing back to their side, many black Americans would vote for Trump, who isn’t someone who talks condescendingly to the black community (like Biden just did).

Right on time, almost as if scripted for the media in advance, comes the story the Left has been dreaming of: “White cop murders innocent black man in broad daylight.” Suddenly the narrative shifts. Joe Biden’s comment is quickly forgotten, and the media tries to redirect blame to Trump.

Left-wing provocateurs send in the militants to torch buildings and cause mayhem. Certain “race baiter” black leaders whip up the hatred and division for maximum effect, utterly avoiding what they should be doing which is calling for all humans to rise up against the real enemies of humanity: Globalists, Big Tech and the depopulation vaccine engineers who will soon be targeting black people all across the world with a “kill switch” coronavirus vaccine.

For the globalists to maintain control of humanity, they must maintain the hatred and division between the races, for if all humans banded together to rise up and defeat the globalists, the people would achieve an immediate victory. The only way the globalists maintain their criminal control and mass genocide operations is to convince certain groups of people to go to war with other groups. It’s all a distraction from the real threat to us all: Evil, demonic globalists who despise all human beings.

I am deleting the last comment "support with a rape" for what should be obvious reasons to all. I am not going to allow this blogspot to be used to encourage murderous acts of any kind. Yes, George Soros has been A factor, not the only one in what is transpiring. I have most of hi books and have read them over the years. He freely confesses his "messianic complex" and will to control. However, "support with a rope" is language I will not tolerate here.

Let's remember Scripture: "They overcame the beast by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony and they loved not their lives uto the death>"

Minneapolis Anarchy: Lack of National Guard and Police Protection Leads to Another Night of Looting and Destruction

Minneapolis has once again descended into chaos. The police have retreated. And where is the National Guard? Well, they set up a defensive perimeter, and then they ran away. I’m not kidding. Our own Julio Rosas is on the ground reporting on the chaos and was hit with a rubber bullet in the chest in the process.

A curfew was imposed, but of course, no one is following it. Did people think that would be adhered to in this situation? It’s anarchy. It’s chaos. And I guess we cannot be shocked, given that the political leadership gave a stand-down order last night and allowed rioters to overrun and burn down a police headquarters.

First reports show that around 500 National Guardsmen have been deployed. That is not enough. Today, the Guard and police showed up just in time to protect the smoldering ruins of Minneapolis only to be pushed back by an unruly mob.

Is the George Soros-funded NGO fueling the ongoing riots in Minneapolis and other cities?

‘DON’T THROW MONEY AT BLACK AMERICANS TO RIOT’: CANDACE OWENS SPARS WITH SOROS-FUNDED NGO OVER ALLEGED HAND IN MINNEAPOLIS UNREST

“You got what you wanted in Minnesota. Your organization is a disgrace and Soros himself is absolute filth in my book.”

Conservative firebrand Candace Owens has started a feud with Open Society Foundations, after accusing the George Soros-funded NGO of fueling the ongoing riots in Minneapolis.

Owens speculated that the fires and looting in Minneapolis was being carried out by activists linked to the billionaire, after noting that Police Chief Medaria Arradondo claimed the criminal activity was being instigated by people not native to the city.

“My guess: As he did with Antifa, Democrat George Soros has these thugs on payroll. He is funding the chaos via his Open Society Foundation,” the conservative commentator tweeted.

I watched a very tall man bark in the face of a female secret service agent who was on the front lines of the secret service barrier in Washington, DC right outside the White House. He towered over her and repeatedly cursed at her while half lunging towards her with each epithet. It went on and on. Her face remained motionless.

I also watched white women walk into stores in Minneapolis and make off with things calmly as if they were shopping!! Very disgusting!

One Breitbart commenter said, "No other race does this." Nope, I saw white men and white women who were middle aged looting! One middle aged white man in a nice car carried off a case full of booze. The camera man captured his license plate!

I have no words. This would not have happened without the shut-downs, the unemployment, the people becoming bored and grouchy and discontent -- and Soros' money.

I saw so many young white kids out there, and I know very well they have literally nothing else to do right now. That is half of it, it really is, I know it is! They can't work, and they can't go to class. Their parents are driving them crazy. They probably leaped at the opportunity to get out and join a mob under cover of a good cause.

This saddens me so much. Black unemployment had been at its lowest ever, just before this happened. This is not good for black people. It is not good for race relations. It makes no sense. Trump immediately ordered a DOJ investigation. What more do you want? Biden offered nothing but empty words! Trump's words are not always great, but his actions have been stellar!

Clarification on order to deploy . . .

As unrest spread across dozens of American cities on Friday, the Pentagon took the rare step of ordering the Army to put several active-duty U.S. military police units on the ready to deploy to Minneapolis, where the police killing of George Floyd sparked the widespread protests.

Soldiers from Fort Bragg in North Carolina and Fort Drum in New York have been ordered to be ready to deploy within four hours if called, according to three people with direct knowledge of the orders. Soldiers in Fort Carson, in Colorado, and Fort Riley in Kansas have been told to be ready within 24 hours. The people did not want their names used because they were not authorized to discuss the preparations.

The get-ready orders were sent verbally on Friday, after President Donald Trump asked Defense Secretary Mark Esper for military options to help quell the unrest in Minneapolis after protests descended into looting and arson in some parts of the city.

RayB the notion of the 1,000 years as symbolic of the church age was an invention of Augustine and is the position of your favorite bugbear, the Roman Catholic Church also affected the thinking of the Eastern Orthodox writers, but Revelation doesn't say Jesus reigns 1,000 years, but He reigns FOREVER it is the first segment of that forever during which the devil is bound so he can't tempt the nations.

Currently he is crippled, severely, but he tempts believers and unbelievers. After the 1,000 year she is let loose once more to tempt mankind one more time, those who fall for his lies will revolt against Jesus' rule, but will be defeated. Some time after this the general resurrection of all and the Last Judgement. After that, a restortion of creation, the new heavens and new earth and the New Jerusalem, of which the church is an out post or foretaste, will come down from heaven and remain on earth forever, a (multilayer I guess) huge cube 1200 or 150900 miles high and wide. covering the general land that was promised to Abraham beyond Canaan, which David gained tribute receiving control of briefly.

There is a lot of pontificating done by all sides of this, yourself included, based on "general principles" unexamined for error and withoiut taking into account ALL THE DETAILS in prophecy and in Revelation. it is amaxzing the unbiblical things that "Bible believers" preach. you and Anonymous Armstong included. The Armstonrg nut is correct as per two resurrections. the rest of his or her stuff is mostly wrong.

As for catching covid19 from the test, how come then the tests that show negative? They are unreliable, but that's another matter.

RayB "Throughout the entire Book of Revelation, SYMBOLIC language is used when describing events. I can cite numerous examples of this type of language, from the Book of Revelation, to prove that point."

Yeah? suppose those are all LITERAL? obviously the four horsemen are indicating something other than themselves, but it is your magisterium of interpreterts who can't wrap their minds around the possibility that things won't stay essentially as they are now so it all has to be "symbolic."

The description of the stars falling llike ripe figs in a wind would fit how it would look from the surface of the earth, if there ws a drastic crustal displace, ent, or axis shift. that right after that angels are holding the winds from destructiveness would also point to this being literal, as such would likely be a result of such an event, especially if triggered by a continent killer type asteroid. One National Georgraphic speculation on such a thing described horrific winds as a result. the sky rolling up like a scroll would also fit the wave of ash and dust as several supervolcanos went off or from the impact or the event itself.

This would also indicate the event will happen by day on our side of the world, at night on the Middle Eastern and Mediterranean side of the world. (stars are visible.)

LOCKDOWN LUNACY: the thinking person's guide

https://jbhandleyblog.com/home/lockdownlunacy

"For anyone willing to look, there are so many facts that tell the true story, and it goes something like this:

Knowing what we know today about COVID-19’s Infection Fatality Rate, asymmetric impact by age and medical condition, non-transmissibility by asymptomatic people and in outdoor settings, near-zero fatality rate for children, and the basic understanding of viruses through Farr’s law, locking down society was a bone-headed policy decision so devastating to society that historians may judge it as the all-time worst decision ever made. Worse, as these clear facts have become available, many policy-makers haven’t shifted their positions, despite the fact that every hour under any stage of lockdown has a domino-effect of devastation to society. Meanwhile, the media—with a few notable exceptions—is oddly silent on all the good news. Luckily, an unexpected group of heroes across the political landscape—many of them doctors and scientists—have emerged to tell the truth, despite facing extreme criticism and censorship from an angry mob desperate to continue fighting an imaginary war.

My goal is to engage in known facts. You, the reader, can decide if all of these facts, when you put them together, equate to the story above."

Christine Erikson (aka Justina) 3:03 AM,

Riddle me this. Why should the same type of prophetic language that is used in the Old Testament be interpreted symbolically, while in the book of Revelation, it is interpreted literally?

RayB is correct about the use of the number 1,000 in the Bible. It is not a literal use. It is an idiom. That is clear from context in the Old Testament.

If you are not trying to read the Bible in terms of how the intended audience of its time and place would have understood it, then you are engaging in eisegesis, not exegesis. Once you open the door to eisegesis, you can do anything. Why not Deconstruction? Every English major could write a different paper about it, the same as they would with Shakespeare.

It bears repeating as many times as necessary. Prophetic language in the New Testament needs to be understood in terms of the same type of prophetic language when it was used in the Old Testament.

LOCKDOWN LUNACY: the thinking person's guide

https://jbhandleyblog.com/home/lockdownlunacy

The brilliant J.B. Handley lays the science out for us, including links. His conclusion is discouraging: what ought to be done won't be done because too many people would have to admit they have been wrong. But for those who want the science to back up what they know in their hearts: this should NEVER have been done, you will find the best research here. 16 points:

1. overall fatality rate much lower than projections, in line with flu.

2.The risk of dying from COVID-19 is much higher than the average for older people and those with co-morbidities, and much lower than the average for younger healthy people, and nearing zero for children.

3. People infected with COVID-19 who are asymptomatic (which is most people) do NOT spread COVID-19

4.Emerging science shows no spread of COVID-19 in the community (shopping, restaurants, barbers, etc.)

5. Published science shows COVID-19 is NOT spread outdoors.

6. Science shows masks are ineffective to halt the spread of 6. COVID-19, and The WHO recommends they should only be worn by healthy people if treating or living with someone with a COVID-19 infection.

7.There’s no science to support the magic of a six-foot barrier

8.The idea of locking down an entire society had never been done and has no supportable science, only theoretical modeling.

9.The epidemic models of COVID-19 have been disastrously wrong, and both the people and the practice of modeling has a terrible history.

10.The data shows that lockdowns have NOT had an impact on the course of the disease.

11. Florida locked down late, opened early, and is doing fine, despite predictions of doom,

12.New York’s above average death rate appears to be driven by a fatal policy error combined with aggressive intubations.

13. Public health officials and disease epidemiologists do NOT consider the other negative societal consequences of lockdowns.

14. There is a predictive model for the viral arc of COVID-19, it’s called Farr’s Law, and it was discovered over 100 years ago.

15.The lockdowns will cause more death and destruction than COVID-19 ever did.

16. All these phased re-openings are utter nonsense with no science to support them, but they will all be declared a success.

"What should be done is so damn simple, IMO, but it never will, because too many people would have to admit they were wrong. But, I’ll say it anyway. My policy recommendation: remove 100% of newly created lockdown rules, secure nursing homes using Florida’s approach, tell everyone with an active COVID-19 infection to stay home until symptoms resolve or wear a mask if they need to go out in public, and encourage everyone else to wash their hands. Done deal."

You will find links and evidence for all of these claims in the piece.

This is ground work for New World order oppression. This is the first seal NOW opened. The next seal is world wide violence that we see spreading now! Has that second seal been opened? Or is it going to be opened very shortly?

From Christine (aka Justina) (aka Sandra) (aka Anonymous):

NOTE: I agree ... I too find some things in here quite "amaxzing." "Armstong?" A+ and a gold star for spelling and grammar.

"The Armstonrg nut is correct as per two resurrections. the rest of his or her stuff is mostly wrong."

NOTE: "Armstonrg nut" LOL !!!! Not exactly a ringing endorsement ! Spelling seems to be improving and heading in the right direction. "Armstonrg," IMO, is better than "Armstong" because at least all of the letters are there, whereas "Armstong" makes me think of a skimpy swim suit. Maybe after another try or two or three she'll somehow get it right.

"Armstonrg nut" .... everyone has to admit, she's never at a loss for colorful language. I always look forward to her weekly, entertaining posts.

Regarding the Millennium and the Biblical phrase "a thousand years". The Greek word chilioi is translated thousand. But it is actually a plural adjective according to Strong's Lexicon G5507. A more accurate reading of the text is therefore thousands of years.

Moreover, elsewhere in the Bible a thousand refers to an indefinite number. The book of Deuteronomy was written around 1220 BC. If we calculate the number of years from that time until the present day, we can estimate how many generations passed. In the Bible, a generation = 40 years. 1220 BC to 2020 AD = 3240 years / 40 = 81 generations. We have 919 generations to go before we reach the thousandth generation. Therefore a literal interpretation would mean Christ can't be expected to return for another 36,555 years.

In Psalm 105:7-8, the word forever is used parallel to a thousand generations. "He is the Lord our God; His judgements are in all the earth. He remembers his covenant forever, the word that He commanded, for a thousand generations."

If we were to interpret that literally, we would have to believe that the word forever is equal to a thousand generations.

Consider Psalm 50:10-12. "For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the hills, and all that moves in the fields is mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world and its fullness are mine."

Are we to believe God limits his sovereignty to a literal thousand hills?

"This people draw near with their words and honor Me with their lip service, but they remove their hearts far from Me, and their reverence for Me consists of tradition learned by rote!" Isaiah 29:13

“I am the LORD your God. You must keep my Sabbath days of rest and show reverence for my sanctuary. I am the LORD.

“If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you the seasonal rains. The land will then yield its crops, and the trees of the field will produce their fruit. Your threshing season will overlap with the grape harvest, and your grape harvest will overlap with the season of planting grain. You will eat your fill and live securely in your own land.

“I will give you peace in the land, and you will be able to sleep with no cause for fear. I will rid the land of wild animals and keep your enemies out of your land. In fact, you will chase down your enemies and slaughter them with your swords. Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand! All your enemies will fall beneath your sword.

“I will look favorably upon you, making you fertile and multiplying your people. And I will fulfill my covenant with you. You will have such a surplus of crops that you will need to clear out the old grain to make room for the new harvest! I will live among you, and I will not despise you. I will walk among you; I will be your God, and you will be my people. I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt so you would no longer be their slaves. I broke the yoke of slavery from your neck so you can walk with your heads held high.

“However, if you do not listen to me or obey all these commands, and if you break my covenant by rejecting my decrees, treating my regulations with contempt, and refusing to obey my commands, I will punish you. I will bring sudden terrors upon you—wasting diseases and burning fevers that will cause your eyes to fail and your life to ebb away. You will plant your crops in vain because your enemies will eat them. I will turn against you, and you will be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you will rule over you, and you will run even when no one is chasing you!

“And if, in spite of all this, you still disobey me, I will punish you seven times over for your sins. I will break your proud spirit by making the skies as unyielding as iron and the earth as hard as bronze. All your work will be for nothing, for your land will yield no crops, and your trees will bear no fruit.

“If even then you remain hostile toward me and refuse to obey me, I will inflict disaster on you seven times over for your sins. I will send wild animals that will rob you of your children and destroy your livestock. Your numbers will dwindle, and your roads will be deserted.

“And if you fail to learn the lesson and continue your hostility toward me, then I myself will be hostile toward you. I will personally strike you with calamity seven times over for your sins. I will send armies against you to carry out the curse of the covenant you have broken. When you run to your towns for safety, I will send a plague to destroy you there, and you will be handed over to your enemies. I will destroy your food supply, so that ten women will need only one oven to bake bread for their families. They will ration your food by weight, and though you have food to eat, you will not be satisfied."

Anonymous said...

“If in spite of all this you still refuse to listen and still remain hostile toward me, then I will give full vent to my hostility. I myself will punish you seven times over for your sins. Then you will eat the flesh of your own sons and daughters. I will destroy your pagan shrines and knock down your places of worship. I will leave your lifeless corpses piled on top of your lifeless idols, and I will despise you. I will make your cities desolate and destroy your places of pagan worship. I will take no pleasure in your offerings that should be a pleasing aroma to me. Yes, I myself will devastate your land, and your enemies who come to occupy it will be appalled at what they see. I will scatter you among the nations and bring out my sword against you. Your land will become desolate, and your cities will lie in ruins. Then at last the land will enjoy its neglected Sabbath years as it lies desolate while you are in exile in the land of your enemies. Then the land will finally rest and enjoy the Sabbaths it missed. As long as the land lies in ruins, it will enjoy the rest you never allowed it to take every seventh year while you lived in it.

“And for those of you who survive, I will demoralize you in the land of your enemies. You will live in such fear that the sound of a leaf driven by the wind will send you fleeing. You will run as though fleeing from a sword, and you will fall even when no one pursues you. Though no one is chasing you, you will stumble over each other as though fleeing from a sword. You will have no power to stand up against your enemies. You will die among the foreign nations and be devoured in the land of your enemies. Those of you who survive will waste away in your enemies’ lands because of their sins and the sins of their ancestors.

“But at last my people will confess their sins and the sins of their ancestors for betraying me and being hostile toward me. When I have turned their hostility back on them and brought them to the land of their enemies, then at last their stubborn hearts will be humbled, and they will pay for their sins. Then I will remember my covenant with Jacob and my covenant with Isaac and my covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land. For the land must be abandoned to enjoy its years of Sabbath rest as it lies deserted. At last the people will pay for their sins, for they have continually rejected my regulations and despised my decrees.

“But despite all this, I will not utterly reject or despise them while they are in exile in the land of their enemies. I will not cancel my covenant with them by wiping them out, for I am the LORD their God. For their sakes I will remember my ancient covenant with their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of all the nations, that I might be their God. I am the LORD.”

Jesus said, “Why do you, by your traditions, violate the direct commandments of God?...You cancel the word of God for the sake of your own tradition. You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you, for he wrote, ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship is a farce, for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God.’" Matthew 15:3,6-9

Dear Constance,
I am an old listener of yours from the Micro effect days, and I have been wanting to talk with you for along time, and now is the perfect time.
I'm in Australia, and we can do a zoom or I can just interview you and chat live.

There are 2 areas I would like to explore with you, if you would like, to give people an understanding of the basics of your research and current understanding of the lengths of the deception, and i must tell you I have been in the healing arts and spiritual teachings all my life, but I absolutely believe you are correct, people are being deceived and being fed gross misinformation and deception..

Next is my current focus and an answer to the tyranny throughout the world, and id appreciate your understanding of article 61 of the Magna Carta, and the oath we can take to remove ourselves from tyranny and seek redress from those who would enslave us.
I would appreciate any answer, yo have my email address and I also feel the importance of coming together across the world for the answer. blessings.

One of the terms he was looking for was virtue signaling.

As Christians we should be signaling virtue. It's just that our hearts should be in it. And is should be God's idea of virtue, not necessarily the world's idea of virtue.

It is a popular term, and I understand the Leftist, PC, and communistic patterns of behavior that provoked the invention and usage of the term. But there is a potential temptation to deride empathy and morality (however twisted they may be) and oppose it with selfish and heartless thinking. What should be opposed to false morality, is true morality.

This is our job as Christians. We should be the salt of the earth and candles in the dark.

It is also 'our job as Christians' to expose EVIL whenever we see it.

When George Soros is running ads looking for radical thugs to do his bidding (at $200 a pop to all of the unemployed out there) for the purpose of spreading anarchy in cities all over this country.. why should we Christians keep quiet or have 'empathy' for those who are willing to throw molotov cocktails into police cars... and throw bricks through store windows to ransack and steal things that don't belong to them???

Of course, there are also plenty of GOOD people out there... who are quietly demonstrating with signs only for the purpose of having their voices heard... and George Soros is smart enough to make sure that both groups are mixed in together to add to the confusion.

Trump considering move to invoke Insurrection Act of 1807

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump could announce as early as Monday night that he’s invoking a 213-year-old federal law that would allow him to deploy active-duty U.S. troops to respond to protests in cities across the country, according to four people familiar with the decision.

The military police forces would come from Fort Bragg in North Carolina and possibly Fort Belvoir in Virginia and could arrive in Washington within hours, these people said.

Trump’s decision to invoke the Insurrection Act, adopted in 1807, to deploy troops comes as his frustrations mount over the protests that have followed the death of George Floyd, a black man who was killed in police custody last week in Minneapolis. The people familiar with his decision said he was angry Sunday night at the destruction protestors caused in Washington, particularly the vandalization of national monuments.

Some of the president’s aides have been encouraging him for days to invoke the act, as he weighs options for exercising executive powers to address the crisis. The act was last invoked during the 1992 Rodney King riots in Los Angeles.

The White House did not respond to a request for comment for this article but at a briefing with reporters Monday, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany left open the possibility that the president could invoke the act.

“The Insurrection Act, it’s one of the tools available, whether the president decides to pursue that, that’s his prerogative,“ McEnany said.

Governors can ask that the federal government send active duty troops to help in cases of civil unrest like the widespread protests plaguing U.S. cities over the last several days. But, so far, no governor has requested active duty troops to assist and instead they have relied on local law enforcement and National Guard soldiers and airmen on state active duty.

Trump just addressed the nation. Here is a video of his full address:

https://twitter.com/WhiteHouse/status/1267587752490491904

As described in an email from whitehouse.gov:

President Trump just addressed the Nation

President Trump was appalled last week by the tragic killing of Minnesota resident George Floyd. Together, thousands of Americans spoke out against this injustice and sought to make their voices heard through peaceful, lawful protest.

Then, what should have been a solemn moment of national reflection was upended by some of the worst elements of society.

Here is what President Trump just told the Nation:

My Administration is fully committed that for George and his family, justice will be served. He will not have died in vain. But we cannot allow the righteous cries of peaceful protesters to be drowned out by an angry mob.

. . .

Innocent people of have been savagely beaten, like the young man in Dallas, Texas, who was left dying on the street. Or the woman in upstate New York, viciously attacked by dangerous thugs. Small business owners have seen their dreams utterly destroyed. New York’s Finest have been hit in the face with bricks. Brave nurses, who have battled the virus, are afraid to leave their homes. A police precinct station has been overrun. Here in the nation’s capital, the Lincoln Memorial and the World War Two Memorial have been vandalized. One of our most historic churches was set ablaze. A federal officer in California, an African-American enforcement hero, was shot and killed.

These are not acts of peaceful protest. These are acts of domestic terror.

Violence against any American will never be tolerated. Tonight, President Trump announced executive actions to stop the rioting and restore safety to our cities.

First, he recommended every Governor deploy the National Guard and establish an overwhelming law enforcement presence until the violence has been quelled. If a city or state refuses to take action, then the U.S. Military will be deployed.

The President also announced decisive action to protect Washington, D.C., and our cherished national monuments. “As we speak, I am dispatching thousands and thousands of heavily armed soldiers, military personnel, and law enforcement officers to stop the rioting, looting, vandalism, assaults, and the wanton destruction of property.”

Every rioter and instigator will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Organizers of violence and terror will face lengthy and severe criminal penalties.

“I take these actions today with firm resolve, and with a true and passionate love for our country. By far our greatest days lie ahead.”

NBC Bans Reporters From Using Word "Riot" In Coverage Of Minnesota

Anonymous said...

Thanks for reminding me TD that all those authors that you mention are all peddling some form of heresy and why I rejected their writings long time ago. They are not speaking the Word of God but their false take on it.

Jesus taught that spiritual rebirth by repentance and faith in Jesus Christ's atoning death, burial, and resurrection, is the only time at which a person will be indwelt, and thereby sealed, by the Holy Spirit. Adding or taking away from this by anyone is blasphemy.

By Grace Through Faith
2 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body[a] and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.[b] 4 But[c] God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— 6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

One in Christ
11 Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called “the uncircumcision” by what is called the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands— 12 remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14 For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility 15 by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, 16 and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. 17 And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near. 18 For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. 19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens,[d] but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. 22 In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by[e] the Spirit.

We never become God. There is only room for one at the top. It's not you or any of us either, Dahlheimer who can ever rightly claim "godness". The devil, the evil one, satan, tempts us with this notion. Read again the very 1st commandment to get your facts straight.
You have fallen for the oldest lie in the world, hook, line, and sinker.

If you want to know the closest place to look for grace...goodness gracious, it is within yourself!

To put it plainly:

Serenity is the driver of sharing.

Consciousness consists of morphic resonance of quantum energy.

“Quantum” means an ennobling of the unified. Nothing is impossible.

Empathy is a constant.

Selfishness is born in the gap where awareness has been excluded. You may be ruled by desire without realizing it. Do not let it obliterate the knowledge of your journey. We can no longer afford to live with suffering.

It is time to take nature to the next level. We must learn how to lead technological lives in the face of desire. Shakti will align us with mythic power.

The future will be a non-dual deepening of will. Imagine a blossoming of what could be. Eons from now, we adventurers will believe like never before as we are awakened by the infinite.

If you have never experienced this rekindling of unfathomable proportions, it can be difficult to believe.

Freedom requires exploration. We grow, we live, we are reborn.

The dreamtime is buzzing with ultra-sentient particles!

Anonymous said yesterday at 11:57 AM: "At least three-fourths of arrests were from outside the city. Need I say more?

https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/local/detroit-city/2020/05/29/detroit-marchers-gather-downtown-protest-police-brutality-after-george-floyd-death/5284855002/

Man shot dead, dozens arrested as protest in Detroit turns violent"

The City of Detroit has historically blamed their problems on the "gun-toting suburbanites" and tend to only arrest and actually detain outsiders. There is more truth to the "outsiders" issues these days since the population distribution in the Detroit Metropolitan area has skewed dramatically since the 1960-1980's. Only 650,000 people live in the City of Detroit and about 3.5 million live in the surrounding Metropolitan area now --- thus, 75% of the arrests being "out of towners" just means a lot of stupid suburban kids ran downtown to participate in the "fun" and got arrested in pretty much statistically expected representative numbers.
There were only about 1500 persons on Friday night so it's not like they could "protest" at their little suburban city halls or local police departments in any kind of numbers. Heading 5-15 miles downtown after being cooped up for months just seemed like more "fun". Besides...suburban persons universally self-identify as being from both the big city as well as the suburb so calling them "out of towners" isn't completely accurate.

What I find funny about the comment here by anonymous this weekend is him/her saying "need I say more" which I take herein as conspiracy code for "oh, it's obvious it all the agistators must have been George Soros funded Antifa". Mayors and police chiefs ALWAYS blame "out of towners" for problems in their big cities and police forces often give "out of towners" kids/young people who come downtown to "cause trouble" a harder time whereas they give their own residents/taxpayers a break. It's politically expeditious to do so. On Sunday and Monday some of the mayors (like in Minneapolis) even walked back their claims of implying all the agitators and troublemakers were from all over the country and suspiciously flocking in as if their residents were wholly altruistic.

Now I'm not claiming Soros funding protesting hasn't ever happened or doesn't ever happen; however, I just don't believe in today's day and times with all the cameras/cell phones that it's as prevalent as the conspiracy theorists seem to think or imply. There may or may not have been conservative agitators too. There were a few photos of "Proud Boys" at the BLM protests too but that "conspiracy" doesn't prompt a similar "need I say more?". I agree it doesn't take many violent agitators to ruin an otherwise peaceful protest; however, I believe most of it is just homegrown youthful angsty criminally-opportunistic stupidity versus some organized national conspiracy. It's the failures of the "no child left behind" policies finally coming home to roost as undirected opposition to Trump's failed nationalistic false Christianity fear-mongering.

After Bunker-Trump showboated somebody else's bible yesterday after gassing peaceful protesters legally (at that point in time) exercising their 1st Amendment rights on public land, I just don't see how there is any room for real Christians in the republican party anymore. Biden sucks too...but maybe, just maybe, he can "Make America 2015 Again" and we can put this whole experiment behind us and fire/remove every criminal associated with this administration.

The worst elements of society are the sheeple or, rather, goatle, such as you seem to be, 8:42 P.M. Do you think Trump i against Soros et al? Trump's part of the same cabal as Soros, Clinton, Rockefeller and so on. The left - right paradigm is a convenient illusion for the Thugs that Be to continue their Hegelian Dialectic of problem, reaction, solution (thesis, antithesis, synthesis).

Don't you realize Trump's senior advisor & son-in-law, Jared Kushner, is in bed with Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and billionaires including Peter Theil and George Soros, etc.?

Why has Trump not told the truth about cruise missiles being used in the attacks on the Twin Towers? Why did Obama say nothing? These scum are all in it together. I searched this site and saw a post by Constance from 2018 saying: "Sorry, but you misunderstand yours truly and Dr. Monteith. I have had more than a few of my own run-ins with CNP. Basically, they considered me an enemy. Dr. Monteith told me he had broken with them as well for many of the same reasons."

I disagree politically with many here; however, from what I've read here over the last couple years is that this is not a 700 club, Pat Robertson - prosperity gospel "group" of Christians. I think the CNP is that type of fake Christian group and if they are not FOR Jesus, then they are against Jesus. I also refer to the "group" here loosely because I see non-Christians post here as well. I believe Thomas and Christine are both examples of non-Christians that participate here.

Anonymous 2:14 PM,

Trump is our president, and we should hope for him to succeed in leading the country back to law and order. I don't think that needs to require us to put perfect faith in Trump per se. But businesses are being destroyed, police officers are being killed, and innocent people are being attacked and killed.

This is the context. I have to assume that your issue is not that you don't want Trump to succeed in re-establishing law and order. If you are Christian, I have to assume that you do not prefer mayhem, instead.

So does that mean you think Trump and Soros got together, and Soros said, "Hey, I know, I'll unleash all the Antifa and Occupy losers, and then you can use them as an excuse to impose martial law!" and then Trump said, "Okay," and now they are working together to achieve the very same purpose?

Do you think that since it's all a dialectic, we should only be cynical, while our cities burn, and put no real hope at all in the re-establishment of law and order?

I am not following you. I am trying to understand you. So if I have it wrong, please feel free to explain yourself.

You have every right to vote for whoever you wish in November. It's a long way 'till then. We have a lot to get through, first.

Right now we are in the middle of looting and riots -- and peaceful protests.

Let's get this straight. I don't want the looters, thugs, criminals, juvenile delinquents and domestic terrorists to discredit the moral message of the peaceful protesters.

Let's also get this straight, though. I don't want the moral message of the peaceful protesters to provide cover for the opportunistic, Joker-like, Satanic, nihilistic bomb throwers.

Troublemakers are being well documented! If you want to find the documentation you can easily do so! White kids in nice cars are driving into neighborhoods and handing bricks to young black kids! They are from out-of-state!

Look it up! That, plus so much more!

If you want to know it, you will. If you don't, you won't.

Piles of Bricks Conspiracy Theory debunked:

I certainly can't account for every pile of bricks located everywhere but I imagine most if not all of them have innocuous purposes for being there.

1. Bricks cost money and it's not like groups had a lot of time to prepare, strategize where to put them and not get caught on camera placing them in the many locations it would take to be an effective use of their time and money.

2. Some of the best raw footage can be found on Tic Toc and there were several instances of video of police with bricks. Sometimes police were filmed loading bricks and other times unloading them but without much context or giving of a precise location. It's just more fun to imply nefarious reasoning and let the viewer infer whatever they want. But then the comments explained that the police, in an effort to protect themselves mainly...as well as businesses...will collect bricks whenever they can to PREVENT them from being used during riots. Or they'll collect bricks off the street that were already used on them because they are moving and don't want to leave bricks behind. Sometimes they find random piles of bricks themselves and remove them.

3. I saw a widely circulated video that had a young man in Fayetteville, NC filming a pile of bricks and scanning the area and buildings around him saying how suspicious the pile was because there appeared to be no construction going on and implying they were planted there...however, it's clear they were pavers and his video actually showed a sidewalk area some protesters around him were standing in that was being worked on and yet to be completed....it appeared to me the curb was being repaired so the bricks had recently been pulled out to redo the curb and would sometime soon be put back down. Again, if it was truly a conspiracy...one of the local businesses should have video of it being so conspiratorially prepared within the last few days for riot purposes. Plus I looked at other videos of the protest in Fayetteville, NC and the whole protest area was lined with various sized pavers. For video see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xb39irqISCQ

*The pile in Dallas I couldn't tell for sure but the pile in New York looked like pavers too...so the city workers leaving them on the street during corona lockdown isn't a stretch either - they were likely there for weeks --but welcome any legitimate surveillance video showing them being placed the last 6 or 7 days.

4. News media story debunking conspiracy over suspicious Pile of bricks in Ft. Myers - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hs74u3AhUWE

5. News story explaining piles of bricks in Cedar Rapids, Iowa - https://kwwl.com/2020/06/01/cedar-rapids-officials-say-stacks-of-bricks-not-placed-by-protesters/

6. NBC used goelocations tags on some brick pile picures and tracked them down to debunk them (including that pile in Dallas that's all over the conspiracy sites).

Now sure -- all these media purveyors could be in on the brickgate conspiracy and covering for their bricklaying friends but you'd need to be posting on q-anon to find dumb enough people to believe such.

Viral rumors about bricks meant to encourage protest shown to be false
Social media posts of piles of bricks have gone viral in recent days, with unfounded claims that they are being placed around cities in an effort to foment violence during protests.

'But analysis by NBC News' Verification Unit found no evidence for such claims.

Images of piles of bricks across the country have been posted: from a suburb of Minneapolis, to Tacoma, Washington, and San Francisco.

Video of police in Boston unloading bricks from a vehicle has been viewed millions of times. The person who first posted it has since taken it down, saying she can’t be sure whether it does indeed show officers leaving the bricks at a protest site as she first suggested. That hasn’t stopped others repeating the claim. NBC News’ has now verified the footage shows the police unloading the bricks at the police station.

Some photos, like this one in Dallas, claim the police left the bricks there to encourage a riot that they could then clamp down on.

NBC News’ Verification Unit geolocated the photos and tracked down the bricks to a Dallas parking lot. They have been there for months, close to a construction site, and can be seen in an image on Google Maps Street View from February.

Another post in Frisco, TX asked “Anyone know why these random piles of bricks keep showing up near protest sites??? Someone is funding the rioting.” The local police later put out a tweet saying they’d investigated, the bricks were for a planned construction project, and they’ve been removed.

Unsubstantiated claims about bricks come as conspiracy theories about efforts to foment protests have spread on social media.

Bricks have been thrown during some protests, including video that appears to show a police officer being hit by a brick. There is also video that shows a woman who gives back a brick that was handed out by someone from a passing car. She doesn’t know the people in the car and she shouts angrily at them to stop putting people’s lives in danger.

But there is no evidence that piles of bricks have been strategically placed in U.S. cities to encourage protest violence."

10:18 pm -- Ammoland, Really? and they try to tie the fake brick conspiracy story to a quote by made by Obama which is even more laughable.

Talking about "fake news" ....not surprisingly, FOX news Hannity even aired a story on the {fake] brick conspiracy this evening using the same pictures from Dallas, New York and Fayetteville, NC that were clearly debunked online long before this story aired. Why does anyone believe this crap?

I did see stories out of Houston and Kansas City where the police departments heard information that there may be stashes of bricks around the city and asked the residents to call in tips so they could be removed by police; however, that sounds more like a cautious response to the possibility the conspiracy theories nationwide were accurate more than having found actual large caches of bricks and rocks (I'm sure some small piles of 3 or 4 bricks and rocks might have been stashed around by a couple criminals here and there but nothing like any nation-wide Soros/Obama conspiracy with pallets of bricks caches which would be absurd).

Like Obama is gonna jeopardize his legacy by hiring 100's or 1000's of people to indiscriminately place piles of bricks in the most likely places that protestors would be able to utilize them in a riotous manner against police lines and businesses...and he organized all this around the country in a matter of days.

Anonymous said...

You don't need credibility to:

1. Watch the Fayetteville, NC video and see for yourself that despite the claims of the man taking the video...there appears to be pavers removed along the curb all around the curb and under the feet of nearby protestors.

2. NBC used geotags on some brick piles like the one in Dallas to see those same pile of bricks were there in February as evidence, I recall (I'm not going back to look) by google map pictures of those tagged locations. I suppose you could do the same research and confirm such for yourself. Mere claims that NBC and BBC (which is neither a left or right organization) are biased doesn't prove anything.

Like I said. I certainly can't account for EVERY pile of bricks everywhere and if 2 or more separate city pre-planted incidents of substantial stacks of bricks can be actually shown to very like be or proven to have been placed by some individual group (not just some local criminals) for use by protestors to throw at police or businesses I'd be willing to consider the broader implications of such a "conspiracy"; but, as of now there is absolutely NO EVIDENCE supporting any national brick placing conspiracy claim whatsoever beyond wild misplaced incorrect speculation and you should be embarrassed for representing such speculation as a fact.

The New York picture/video of [fake] conspiracy bricks I went and searched google myself (2nd Avenue bwn St. Marks Pl and 7th St) and you can see for yourself the bricks were placed right in a striped off "delivery" no-parking area directly in front of the brick building that is clearly in the pictures AND the video currently being worked on. With the covid shutdown still in place...the bricks certainly weren't a nuisance sitting in such spot for a long time. Plus...all those businesses...surly someone would have a video confirmed (or even debunking) such conspiracy theory. You'd only need to look back 5-7 days as surely no one could have predicted and anticipated the need for any bricks right there prior to maybe sometime last Friday at the earliest.

I had hoped to get lucky and find a picture from earlier this year somewhere on the street showing the bricks there long before Mr. Floyd was murdered in Minneapolis but there didn't appear to be any 2020 pictures on google. I did find one from 22015 showing a construction dumpster situated in about the same spot as the bricks. Here is a link to that 2015 picture from up the street.

I know I'm not proving the bricks weren't planted for use in this protest but circumstantial evidence clearly points to them nearly certainly being there legitimately.

One WEIRD coincidence is the fact there appears to be some kind of Ukranian or Bulgarian business right there too, so, maybe a better conspiracy theory is that Trumps Russian and/or Ukrainian friends had something to do with those bricks being there. I mean Trump is the only person with the most to gain by the violence...gives him the outside chance of being able to claim he's a "law and order" president while distracting attention away from his covid virus failures???

Just open this google map picture and pan to the right and you'll see the words "YKPAiTHCBKNN" (which google translate tried to tell me it refers to either a french passport/visa in Ukrainian or a Ukrainian resistance and sabotage movement active in Poland between the world wars) and the word "CNOPMOBNN" which might be Bulgarian??? I have no idea but I seriously doubt it's related to a stupid pile of bricks sitting just outside their own front door in 2020.

Constance & Co., in case you haven't happened to have read this best-selling book yet, it may prove to be quite an eye-opener to you. I will reproduce its descriptive information here:

Shocked by the Bible: The Most Astonishing Facts You've Never Been Told

Shocked by the Bible sets the record straight with well-researched, controversial, myth-breaking assertions about what the Bible really does—and doesn’t—say.

And guess on which day the Bible says Jesus died. Believe it or not, the Good Book doesn't mention Friday, and even more surprisingly, while the Bible says Jesus rose from the grave, it does not say it occurred Sunday morning. Remember, Jesus' followers found an empty tomb then.

But don't feel bad if you've always assumed otherwise. Like countless millions of people, you've just been misinformed, misled or even (dare we say) lied to about what the Bible actually says.

In a stunning investigation, news veteran Joe Kovacs goes on a mission to help both Christians and non-Christians alike find out what the Bible really contains, and what it doesn't.

"Shocked by the Bible: The Most Astonishing Facts You've Never Been Told" is an educational juggernaut that relies solely on the Holy Bible to reveal hundreds of Scriptural facts that many people of all persuasions simply don't know.

The book instantly skyrocketed to the No. 1 position in three Bible-related categories on Amazon.com.

"I'm among the biggest fans of the Bible of all time," says Kovacs. "My goal is to educate people about the solid truth of Scripture and to stop the spread of erroneous information. I want people to crack open their Bibles and see with their own eyes what's actually printed on the pages, and what's not. It's shocking!"

According to Scripture, you won't find "Three Wise Men" mentioned anywhere in the story of Jesus' birth. For that matter, none are said to have shown up at the manger in Bethlehem. The truth straight from your own Bible is that an unspecified number of wise men first met Jesus as a "young child" in a "house," not a babe in a manger, and it might have been more than a year after He was born. Go ahead, look it up for yourself.

Also, according to Scripture, you won't find a single mention of Easter eggs, but you will find God warning His people not to have anything to do with a pagan fertility goddess, whose name is synonymous with "Easter."

"Yes, I'm a Bible-believing Christian," says Kovacs. "But I'm not here to convert anyone. People are free to believe whatever they wish and can come to their own conclusions. I just want to show them the biblical record is often very different from what many assume. Not only will Christians love this book, but I think Jews, Muslims and even agnostics and atheists will get a kick out of it as well."

About the Author

@3:58 P.M.,

With respect you will get the candidate chosen for (against) you, not by you. Do you know North Korea has elections? Of course, the U.S.'s handlers are far more subtle, however, the result is the same: you'll get the candidate chosen before the election whether you like it or no.

If any "president", even though preselected by the shadow govt., Deep State, (or any other way of titling them) should go adrift from the will of such Thugs that Be, they will be swiftly Kennedy-ed. Eisenhower, clearly terrified when trying to warn people of the Military Industrial Complex in his farewell speech, in an Earthly sense was very fortunate indeed that he did not try and rock the boat when in power but used only a warning in his farewell speech. Sometimes those closer to the Deep State take the presidency or vice-presidency rather than mere puppets, e.g., George (kennedy murdering) H. Bush and his (pretending to play dumb) son, or, Nelson Aldrich Rockefeller.

By voting, it may be argued we are legitimizing the usurped authority of such criminals; this is the opinion I hold to.

If either Trump or Biden (yet more mere personifications or tools of thesis vs antithesis) go against the 'swamp', they will be deactivated very swiftly indeed, either by assassination or otherwise, it may be surmised some of them choose willingly to fall on their swords, though it may be surmised more often than not for the monsters they serve than for John or Jane Doe of America.

You wrote: After Bunker-Trump showboated somebody else's bible yesterday after gassing peaceful protesters legally (at that point in time) exercising their 1st Amendment rights on public land, I just don't see how there is any room for real Christians in the republican party anymore. Biden sucks too...but maybe, just maybe, he can "Make America 2015 Again" and we can put this whole experiment behind us and fire/remove every criminal associated with this administration.

One of the main reason why many Christians elected Trump was because they were looking for a body guard, not because they saw Trump as their Pastor-in-Chief. Remember, he is President, not Pope.

If you haven't felt the hostility and anti-Christian spirit coming from the Left, and you haven't worried about your freedom of religion and the freedom of religion of your fellow Christians, it makes me wonder -- why not?

Anonymous said...

No, Trump is not Christian, but he is not hostile to Christians and their freedom of religion. He kept the promises he made to the Christian portion of his base.

Here is what Trump is. Trump is the front man for an elite insurgency. America always needed to become disempowered before the NWO could become empowered. Both the economy and the military of America needed to be sacrificed. Reagan reversed that deliberate process of American decline once. Trump was intended to reverse that deliberate process of American decline a second time.

In order for America to decline, a lot of money and power also needed to be redistributed. Vested interests behind that money and power will not go quietly into that good night.

Yes, I am admitting that elites are protecting their money, power and status. But what sort of stability would we have with no elites? We would simply have different elites. We will always have them. It's just a matter of which ones.

If we were to ever succeed in fully castrating our entire "aristocracy", it would still not work out to our benefit. The truth is that it would severely destabilize our society. Why? Because these elites are sometimes protecting us from other elites, as a side effect of protecting their own money and power.

In this world, we have no such option as real egalitarianism for all. It is not in human nature. It is not in our social science. It is not in our DNA.

It is a very, very similar phenomenon to some forms of patriarchy protecting women from other forms of patriarchy. (Christian and post-Christian patriarchy protecting women from Islamist patriarchy, for example.)

Jesus showed us a different way, a better way, but this better way only gets better one individual at a time. And in this life, no individuals ever become perfect, no matter their gender, race, class or creed.

All we have is corrupt leaders protecting us from even worse evils. That is the best we will ever have.

Early Christians prayed for their Roman leaders, at the same time as being persecuted and often going underground.

God has shown every evidence throughout both the Old and New Testaments as desiring that we have law and order and authority in our world, even if it is wielded by imperfect individuals. Often He has used such individuals to judge the sinful, then turned and brought judgement on such individuals.

God doesn't change. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. We do not need to believe Trump to be the new Cyrus. It is not implausible at all to believe that God could perhaps be using Trump, and humbling Trump, both -- not only one or the other. Didn't God do the same with Nebuchadnezzar, and many others?

We need to believe the Bible, not partisan narratives from the mass media -- from whichever side.

Media Falsely Claimed Violent Riots Were Peaceful And That Tear Gas Was Used Against Rioters

The entire narrative the media glommed onto in lockstep was that Trump was a monster who tear-gassed peaceful protesters to do something meaningless. None of that was true.

Following days of violent riots and looting in cities across the country, Washington, D.C., announced a 7 p.m. curfew on Monday night. About the same time, President Donald Trump addressed the nation from the Rose Garden. Afterward, he walked through Lafayette Park to St. John’s Episcopal Church, which rioters had set on fire the night before. Standing before the church sign, which reads “All are welcome,” President Trump, who previously said he’d be paying his respects to a very special place, held up a Bible.

The speech announcing the country would return to rule of law and protection of civil liberties, the walk through a park that the night before had been given over to rioters, and the visit to the vandalized historic church where every president has worshiped since James Madison, were reassuring to many in the country.

For the media, however, these actions were further proof that Orange Man Bad is literally the worst, restoring rule of law is criminal, and standing in front of a church holding a Bible is an assault on the American conscience. They focused on how the Park Police had cleared the area ahead of the city-wide curfew declared by D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser.

Facts were no barrier to their narrative. They spun a tale of violent, jack-booted cops running rampant through the streets over innocent docile protesters, using tear gas to clear the area. It turns out none of that was true.

Every single major media outlet falsely reported that Park Police were unprovoked when they used “tear gas” to clear the area. If any of that were true, it might mark the first time in history that cops without gas masks launched tear gas in an area that the president of the United States easily walked through minutes later.

I am seemingly more 'awake' than you. Absent proof or even mildly corroborating evidence of vast conspiracies to deliver piles of bricks (and other outlandish conspiracy theories), then the evidence appears to be that "the evil provocateurs" might actually be those lying and propagating known debunked conspiracy theories (like the vaccine crap) as facts they personal claim to know to be true. You and several others don't even allow for the simple undeniable fact you could be wrong. That's not honest and knowingly gossiping and spreading lies is sinful and wrong.

You are not doing God's work if you are lying, gossiping and speaking in half-truths and God is not amused if you are worshipping and idolizing Mr. Trump either.

Again...I could be wrong. Show me real evidence beyond a picture of bricks and spurious claims by some idiot on the street. The Houston report doesn't really indicate or show evidence of any real illegitimately placed pallets or piles of bricks and rocks, they are merely saying some were supposedly brought to the departments attention and removed and asked to public to make them aware of any others so they can clean them up. My guess would be the conspiracy theory made it's way through the ranks so the person in charge of twitter bought into it and tweeted out a call to the public to ask for help finding these supposed illegitimate piles of bricks.

Unless I see a lot more from the Houston brick theory, it's a much simpler explanation to believe the police would react to social media conspiracies and incorporate such into their calls for action and daily briefings. Twitter shut down a white supremist group this past weekend that was posing as something like "antifa USA" that made a tweet suggesting Antifa was thereby directed to leave the cities and start attacking the white suburbs. Several police forces (including a police chief in Florida that went viral warning any antifa in his area that went to their suburb would be shot dead) reported these trolling posts as legitimate directives and warned their populations causing all sorts of suburban trumptards to gather with their guns around their cities in a rambo mentality to protect their neighborhoods from the faux advancing army of black-hooded-ninjas.

Most conspiracy theories are not true. Some conspiracy facts are true.

You are commenting on the blog of the author of Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow and A Planned Deception. She is a lawyer and she knows how to gather evidence and recall details to support her case.

Have you read her books.

She has a long blog history.

Have you read her blog much?

I challenge you to read her books, read her blog, and then come back and say there is no such thing as a conspiracy fact.

You need to do better than doing a quick search for the first link from any media source that will support your narrative. You have proven yourself to be a very narrow and shallow researcher who assumes that whatever a mainstream media source is telling you, is not only true, but is the complete truth, with nothing relevant left out.

You should not be surprised to find that people who have done their homework will not hold your comments in high regard when all you offer is links to BBC and Buzzfeed and the like.

NYPD are said to be looking into numerous reports the rioters were organized.

They are now checking license plate numbers of cars that dropped groups off.

'Cars would drive up, let off the looters, unload power tools', one witness said.

Another said: 'This is organized crime happening really, really well'.

Local leaders and business owners in Washington, California and Chicago have also suggested the looters were part of organized crime rings.

Protests were largely peaceful Tuesday and the nation's streets were calmer than they have been in days since the killing of George Floyd.

Well, 12:54 PM... for that matter, there are many people who think that the New Age Movement is one giant conspiracy theory.

With you, 'proof' would never be enough.

You are obviously one of those 'difficult' people who love to argue... period.

I have proof of the New Age conspiracy because I've personally witnessed it consume and destroy my former church (which was Bethelized), I researched it like crazy and read my Bible (truth).

I also know there is evil out there promoting and instigating violence, unrest, and trying to undermine our Christian culture and republic founded upon Christian principles. We are ALL human and these "attacks" don't align themselves with democrats or Republicans, conservatives or liberals. No one is good except God alone. Therefore, it's up to each of us to discern how Jesus and truth/love are served by any given supposed factual circumstance or experience. So I think it's incumbent upon us all to be careful what we see/read, and infer and then, how or what we repeat as fact or theory (it's completely acceptable to pose the question over whether bricks were planted strategically around the country or wonder if there might be some connection to a pile of bricks being outside some odd Ukrainian building).

I believe all the lies and other bullcrap conspiracy theories being promoted here and, really, everywhere by many on both the far left and the far right are simply a part of the New Age conspiracy plan, perhaps as an offshoot of the heretical 7 mountain mandate but, more likely, I think it's because a less intelligent and less Christian (Christians with discernment) society that isn't reading their Bibles are more easily deceived and easy targets. Demons have us all running around so quickly and pridefully boasting and repeating the newest "discovered" theories that the desire to be ahead of the curve causes many of us (myself included from time to time) to jump to conclusions without any analysis whatsoever. The brick conspiracy theory is seriously lacking in credibility and the fact you take ammoland.com's word for it (where it's complete speculation with no evidence other than a picture of a pile of brick) over numerous other media organizations that researched and fact check and provided specific facts explaining the legitimacy of the brick piles is just crazy). Likewise, it's crazy that young people think and spread misinformation about capitalism being the root of all evil and that hierarchies are a capitalist concept. There are just so many competing conspiracy theories now that another "Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow" isn't gonna garner any attention.

When you spread unproven, almost certainly, false conspiracy theories as factual claims and they, inevitably get easily debunked, it's not a wonder people roll their eyes if and when they ever first hear about the real conspiracy like the new age movement.

If Donald Trump is every bit as bad as they (the left) say he is, (which he couldn't possibly be), then he's still a whole lot better than the sodomite loving, abortion loving, trannie loving, anti family, China ass-kissing, New World Order, Soros led, Socialist/Progressive/Communist FOOLS on the left.

Exactly which 'conspiracy theories' are those? And which have been 'debunked'... and by whom?

For your information, today's Daily Mail has a video at the link below, entitled:
"ORGANIZED LOOTERS STRATEGICALLY PLACING ROCKS THROUGHOUT NYC?"

The Daily Mail is not 'debunking' this. Do you want to know why? Because they are not a part of the lamestream news media that you put so much of your very naive faith and trust in... the same lamestream news media that is obviously rotting your brain. LOL

But, you go ahead and stick with NBC and the BBC... since you obviously can't handle the truth.

7:55PM -

So far not a single video or picture of somebody illegitimately planting a big stash/cache of bricks has surfaced.

While it's conceivable that organized crime in NYC may have made some preparations for looting that is hardly a nationwide Soros or Antifa conspiracy with any political implications. Opportunistic criminals do what they do.

There's actually a twitter thread currently discussing the commissioner's speculation that the blue crate boxes of rocks in NYC were pre-planted for nefarious uses. The jury is still out on that one. Based upon the image and the fact it appears to be put out with the garbage (notice a pile of kitchen garbage bags across the street --- was it garbage day?) I think the tweets speculating that it's simply someone disposing of illegal construction debris (NY is on lockdown so it's illegal to undertake construction right now) sounds like the most reasonable explanation. Ave X is apparently outside the zone of any looting that's occurred to date so it doesn't appear it was placed very strategically. Plus...why waste not one, but 4, $50 ULINE containers of broken pieces of cement and stack them so neatly all way out in the open far-out on a corner in New York City? It makes no sense to me whatsoever....especially considering the lengths these "criminals" went to do this. They obviously also had to bribe NBC and BBC and pay people in numerous cities and on twitter to make up lies and cover their tracks about all these brick caches that not a single person or business caught being placed on video (sarcasm). I also think Commissioner Shea (like many mayors and police chiefs across the nation) are motivated politically to blame the unrest and riots on others besides their wonderful residents (and voters). You can read the developing thread and decide for yourself.

https://twitter.com/MarkTreyger718/status/1268233152696328192

I just don't get why so many guys are so invested in this one obvious drummed up, highly unlikely to be true almost everywhere brick conspiracy theory? I get not trusting left-biased media but it's not like they are trying to say (in the articles I linked at least) that white supremacists were doing it or the police were doing it....an equally outlandish national conspiracy theory some have put out there. Instead, I simply gave articles where someone investigated and asked questions about the supposed caches and found innocuous reasons for them and/or found pictures of the piles from weeks prior to Mr. Floyd's execution.

It's not naive to read multiple sources (they are all biased on multiple levels) and PLEASE link any actual proof you discover from any source. I'd actually love to hear the story of some real-life organizations "plan" to undertake this hair-brained and expensive scheme. Why stack up neatly 100 or more bricks when multiple smaller piles spread out over a larger area makes more sense? Why bricks or even cement blocks (one story I saw)...wouldn't they be awfully hard to throw? Why place multiple containers in the same spot? Why put them out in the open? If you have the money to undertake this plan, why not hide smaller caches for your organization in the back alleys and bushes and give your "teams" TILE devices to help them geolocate them? How many bricks are really necessary when your team could just carry in backpacks of hidden rocks and dump them out at the truly most opportune times and places versus pre planting 1000's of expensive bricks and trying to guess where to place them and hoping they remain there for when you really want them?

Anonymous said...

It wasn't such 'a hairbrained and expensive scheme'... since every brick that got thrown through a shop window allowed these thugs (in NYC and elsewhere) to walk in and strip the shelves bare, stealing everything that wasn't nailed down!!! I would say there was a huge payoff vs the price of x number of shipments of bricks to all of these key cities.

It also makes sense that this is finally starting to come out... because, the actual peaceful demonstrators (who only wanted to march and carry signs to have their voices heard) really don't deserve to be lumped in with all of those thugs!!!

nationalfile is just recycling the same tired story.

Calling it a "NYC riot hot spot" and showing that video Commissioner Shea posted is a lie. Ave X at Gravesend is about 11 miles and a 27 min. drive from SOHO (and 15 miles from Midtown Manhattan) where the majority of looting took place. Brooklyn is quite a ways away from Manhattan over the Brooklyn Bridge and Ave X is a street that hardly appears like it's really worth looting at all. A Dunkin Donuts and a Magic Store down the street. Unlikely place to need bricks/rocks.

Here's a google map of the intersection where those 4 blue tote carriers with broken pieces of cement were located so you can look for yourself and discern whether this is a logical and reasonable place for Soros/antifa and/or organized crime to pre-arrange the need for such a cache of rocks.

https://www.google.com/maps/@40.5902333,-73.9729314,3a,90y,270h,90t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sUJdMaP67_KBJD1JT7f15dw!2e0!7i16384!8i8192

Not exactly similar in any way to the luxury stores that were apparently targeted by organized crime (potentially) in SOHO -https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2020/06/looters-hit-luxury-retailers-in-lower-manhattan.html

Plus--- the White House has themselves apparently removed it's prior statements making brick conspiracy claims from facebook and twitter.

https://www.businessinsider.com/white-house-conspiracy-facebook-twitter-antifa-bricks-violence-2020-6

Finally - watch this Russian media footage of the SOHO looting...doesn't appear they really need caches of bricks and rocks to bust windows and loot at all nor does it appear any single person or group is truly monopolizing upon all the looted merchandise at all. It appears to be every person for themselves and whatever they can carry for themselves. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qpif_SNqZ4

Interesting comments to the above article...

"Is it just a coincidence that Obama suddenly re-appears on the scene just before ANTIFA re-ignites its professional race riots? I know, conspiracy theory."

"I’m a little surprised nobody thought to hurl those free bricks at the agitators."

"Covid-19 wrecks the country/economy on the heels of the failed impeachment, which was on the heels of the failed Mueller fiasco, and just as the nation tries to open up and get back on its feet, the perfect storm suddenly erupts because ‘someone did something’ in Minneapolis... which is inflamed exponentially just as the Flynn transcripts are made public, along with reams of other previously classified damning documents, revealing the ObamaGate treachery in all its sinister glory... and now the USA is one giant tinderbox. I don't believe this because it's absurd (but ironically humorous to me). However, I do think this SPECULATION below is 100's of times more a possible easier and real conspiracy than believing something crazy like Acme Brick Company secretly planted bricks and rock starting last Friday/Saturday all over the country including stacks miles away from any eventual riots/looting for antifa/paid Soros protestors to utilize without a single shred of photographic or video evidence of having done so other than some random associations... but that's just me.

Theory: Couldn't a fake brick cache viral social media conspiracy be a deep-state inspired false flag to make us all (on the right AND left) more willing to accept cameras being placed throughout our country to, ostensibly, monitor, control and catch those "out of towner", rebel-rousing white supremacists and/or antifa ninja warriors on cameras????

This graph apparently shows the "Planted Brick" conspiracy started online on Friday, May 29th long before rioting and looting at the levels we've experienced could have been anticipated and foreseen nationwide. Maybe it's here but I've also read that the words were first circulated with mostly bots type accounts with few, if any, real-seeming "friends" prior to exploding organically.

So much easier to undertake than physically planting bricks and rocks.

True, but he can only go so far in what he speaks of. Same with Savage, or Hannity, or the other side on MSNBC. One cannot be a talking head without obeying the high command. His latest broadcast mentions that Kushner is up to no good for real. Do you know also that Kushner favors amnesty and opening up borders to many illegals? The point is, he will never dare to mention anything of this Masonic Anglo Zionist power, for instance.

I wonder how long Carlson will be allowed to stay where he is after this latest revelation.

Facebook has started labelling the pages of media outlets which are wholly or partially controlled by a state. The labels will appear in page transparency/ad library/and also in News Feed for users based in the US.

Pages like Sputnik & RT (both Russian Government controlled media) and Global Times/China Xinhua New (both Chinese Government controlled media) will not have transparency pages associated with them indicating their ownership and relationships.

Apparently, in the months to come their ability to "advertise" on the platform will be limited to ensure they don't interfere again in the election.

I hope readers don’t mind if I interject something here, something tangential. In online discourse of various kinds I’ve been noticing more and more logical fallacies leading to questionable conspiracy theories. When I came upon yet another—this time a Christian “apologetic”—I decided I needed to write an article countering it, especially since it casts aspersions on a number of people.

I began this before the George Floyd tragedy and the subsequent chaos. I completed it just yesterday. Thus, it may seem very inconsequential in light of the current goings-on.

I any case, I think this is an important topic. I hope readers will take the time to read it, which I intend as an object lesson. To narrow the focus of it (there are so many problems with this vlogger, the article could be in multiple parts), I choose just two main parts/subjects, the latter relating to the former, namely Bob Dylan (I placed other persons and things he maligned unfairly in footnotes). Are you aware that Dylan “sold his soul to the devil”? I wasn’t either. Not only does the vlogger use a snippet of an interview as “proof” of this, he uses the time length(!) of a newly-released song, and a lyric in this same song as further “evidence”. Essentially, he's created his own questionable conspiracy theories en route to countering another.

Tangled Up in Quasi-Truth

One other thing I’d noticed recently is that it is becoming increasingly difficult to tell satire from straight-faced reporting. In fact, I could understand a non-Christian viewing this vlogger's material as satire. And this guy has 168k subscribers to his YouTube channel. And these would likely consist strictly of Christians or “Christians”.

I really think your article could be improved if it included, somehow, a quote from Dylans' - Talking John Birch Paranoid Blues (1964) (linked below). Discernment blogs authors often pridefully overreach into error --- looking for those commies/false teachers everywhere.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DabDcm59RGI

A quote from your blog entry: "We must uphold truth when defending the Truth. When I see quasi-truths and pseudo-truths in apologetics, I sometimes literally shake my head in sadness. Sometimes I get a bit angry. It’s disconcerting."

It bothers me too. I agree and feel as Christians we should uphold truth as much as we humanly can all the time (not implying you don't). It's why I try to qualify my responses and the limitations of what I know or can know, while presenting what the evidence tells me. It's not a matter of defending Bill Gates or caring about the implications politically whether bricks were planted or by whom and for what reason....it's just about the truth (including honest speculation). I don't always get it right...but I take responsibility for my words and opinions. [very Jordan Petersen-like - just watched him on youtube so he's on my brain]

My wife and I were discussing a recent article she discovered and I noticed your blog didn't have any category referring to the new age heretic, Brian Simmons nor his demonically inspired/channeled Passion Translation Bible. Might be the subject of your next article???

From the article: "The Passion Translation author’s heretical views about Christ’s return" -

"An appalling and horrible thing has happened in the land: The prophets prophesy falsely, And the priests rule on their own authority; And my people love it so! But what will you do at the end of it? (Jeremiah 5:30)

Brian Simmons, author of The Passion Translation, is teaching heresy about the return of Christ. Simmons says the Bible uses “clouds” as a term for men eight times. Simmons states the Bible says Jesus comes within clouds, so therefore it means Christ is coming from within us.

https://thewordlikefire.wordpress.com/2020/06/02/the-passion-translation-authors-heretical-views-about-christs-return/?fbclid=IwAR2PhzT4uo1lQhqxnMpnJBz5mG_uqIYDGGf34PpYYw8lQDdiVnpvmZM9S4Y

Perhaps an apologetics question might be -If a Facebook friend posts scripture using the Passion Translation is a Christian obligated to defend the faith and point out the heretical nature of the translation [in a loving and maybe private manner - giving them the benefit of the doubt]?

Craig said...

Anon 3:26,

Thanks for taking the time to read the article. As re your first point, I agree many “discernment”-type ministries use the thinnest of evidence to label another a ‘false teacher’. This is not unlike some in hyper-charismaticism that look for demons everywhere.

[I really enjoy listening to Jordan Peterson. And guys like Steven Pinker.]

As re Brian Simmons, Holly Pivec, on her blog Spirit of Error, wrote a short series on The Passion translations very close to the time they first emerged from the NAR pit. That’s how I first heard about this “translation” years ago:

A New NAR Bible (Part 1) — ‘The Passion Translation’

At bottom see links to subsequent parts.

As best I recall, I first saw her posts on this “translation” at her posting of part 3. See my comments (three total) on this post:

A New NAR Bible (Part 3): Where’s the Manuscript Evidence?

The reason I direct you there is for correlation to/for my next point. On one of Holly’s Amazon reviews Simmons himself responded directly to my comments.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R2M5CLW27ENVNE/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B01L0EX7JU

My comments are prefaced with his name, making them easy to identify (frustratingly, the comments on Amazon, which are in reverse chronological order, load only five at a time, meaning one has to keep clicking the “Show more comments” button to get to the bottom in order to read in proper context). We went back and forth briefly. But presumably because Simmons is so poor in knowledge of NT background and NT textual criticism that he couldn’t even purchase a clue on how to properly rebut my critiques, he subsequently deleted his comments. He claimed the Dead Sea Scrolls were originally in Aramaic, though the evidence shows Hebrew only, with very brief sections in Aramaic (and Greek).

Thanks for posting The Word Like Fire’s brief blog post on Simmons' heretical notion of Christ coming within us. This is most definitely New Age teaching (which I’ve pointed out in past blog posts related to Bill Johnson, most specifically a quote of Bob Jones at Bethel)—the Corporate Christ concept—and prevalent within the NAR (New Apostolic Reformation).

----

Unrelatedly (well, tangentially, I suppose), let me offer this tip to those who wish to refer to a specific section of a YouTube video. Just add the correlating time in code at the very end of the url. So, for example, if one wanted to mark the 5 minutes, 20 second spot, add the following:

&t=5m20s

That’s it!

From the post @ 10:27 AM (in part):

"I really enjoy listening to Jordan Peterson. And guys like Steven Pinker." -- Craig

Much can be said about Peterson, who has become the High Priest of Secularism, particularly for young people. Peterson is a Darwinist that believes that the Bible is full of "stories" that are "provably scientifically, false," and yet, these "false stories" have some "value," according to Peterson. Such secular "philosophy" is designed to cast doubt upon the validity and authenticity of the Word of God. Without the Word, a person cannot arrive at true faith: "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." -- Romans 10:17 Peterson is actually putting HIS social, Darwinistic phillosophy on a higher plane than that of God's Word.

While paying "God" passing lip service, he makes countless statements that are in direct conflict with God's Word. Peterson consistently contradicts the God of the Bible, the Lord Jesus Christ and His Deity, the sinful, inherent nature of mankind, the need for redemption through Christ alone, etc., etc. If you listen closely and READ what he says, Peterson actually talks a lot of New Age nonsense ... all wrapped in what he refers to as his "cognitive evolutionary social philosophy." What it really is is nothing other than a very deceptive secular, Darwinistic intellectualism.

WARNING: don't be fooled by Peterson's use of the term "God." Peterson's "God" is a false, temporal God that denies the eternal that leads to the gates of an eternity in Hell. "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? "
-- Mark 8:36

From the post @ 10:27 AM (in part):

"I really enjoy listening to Jordan Peterson. And guys like Steven Pinker." -- Craig

Who is Steven Pinker?? WOW !!!

From Wikipedia:

"Steven Arthur Pinker (born September 18, 1954[3][4]) is a Canadian-American cognitive psychologist, linguist, and popular science author. He is Johnstone Family Professor in the Department of Psychology at Harvard University, and is known for his advocacy of evolutionary psychology and the computational theory of mind."

"About his Jewish background Pinker has said, "I was never religious in the theological sense ... I NEVER OUTGREW MY CONVERSION to ATHEISM at 13, but at various times was a serious CULTURAL Jew."

"Pinker also IDENTIFIES HIMSELF AS AN ATHEIST. In the 2007 interview with the Point of Inquiry podcast, Pinker states that he would "DEFEND ATHEISM as an EMPIRICALLY SUPPORTED VIEW." He sees theism and atheism as competing empirical hypotheses, and states that "WE'RE LEARNING MORE AND MORE ABOUT WHAT MAKES US TICK, including our moral sense, WITHOUT NEEDING THE ASSUMPTION OF A DEITY OR A SOUL. It's naturally getting crowded out by the SUCCESSIVE NATURALISTIC EXPLANATIONS." NOTE: New Age or WHAT ??? VERY similar views to Jordan Peterson.

Pinker's "relationship" with Pedophile Jeffrey Epstein:

"Throughout the criminal court trial of pedophile philanthropist Jeffrey Epstein, Pinker LENT HIS NAME AND EXPERTISE TO EPSTEIN'S DEFENSE. Pinker notably prepared a linguistic argument that ARGUED FOR Epstein's INNOCENCE and attempted to UNDERMINE the PROSECUTION'S CASE BY CASTING DOUBT ON THE VICTIM'S CREDIBILITY. Pinker ALSO PROVIDED CHARACTER REFERENCE FOR EPSTEIN."

NOTE: this is regarding Epstein's first trial in Florida, which had named multiple "victims" of Epstein's pedophilia. The Government secretly offered Epstein a "sweetheart plea deal" and, from there, the case was pretty much forgotten. Years later, Epstein was arrested again, and AFTER his mysterious death, Pinker made a statement "condemning Epstein's conduct."

How could anyone "really enjoy listening" to people like this? Amazing ... absolutely amazing.

PS: I have watched much of this video and came away with the same conclusion as the poster above. Peterson is really not much more than a New Age guru that is wrapped in what he describes is his social Darwinistic philosophy. Peterson uses a lot of high sounding intellectual reasoning based upon rationalism, but very much undermines the authenticity of God's Word !

Craig,

Thanks for your video time mark info!

I just used a built-in time start here, and this part I started at btw I fancy you'll find of particular interest (and it runs for 70 seconds).

https://youtu.be/FJdxzaH-038?t=30m14s

P.S. Here's more information on your topic:

Depending on the URL, there are two ways to add a timestamp to the video:

&t=1m30s or ?t=1m30s

Use the ampersand one if the URL includes a question mark, like if it ends in

watch?v=Sf5FfA1j590. Short URLs that are listed as youtu.be don't have a question mark, so those need to use the second one above.

Ray B,

Thank you for your views on JP. I have had difficulty discerning what his beliefs are/were. I think I see him struggle with his faith and wondered if he was hiding it to shield himself from both Christian scrutiny as well as criticism from his circle of intellectuals. But then he kills atheists with his pre-suppositional arguments for God (that all science is Godly). I will pray for his full conversion. Many highly intellectual philosophers seem to experience deathbed conversions --- perhaps as their brains deteriorate and they stop trying to overthink it or God finds irony and purpose in granting them the gift of repentance later in life after He's had the chance to humble them???

You just don’t get it. If someone does not share the Christian worldview, then they are certainly going to diverge from Christian theology. If they don’t believe the Scriptures are to provide their compass, then we cannot expect they’d abide by it. I see this myopic line of thinking too often.

I listen to Pinker—again—for his take on socio-political issues (and linguistics).

Both your posts are examples of the genetic fallacy—that disagreement on any point necessarily means we must reject the person’s views en toto. And the first one is ad hominem in calling Peterson “High Priest of Secularism”.

Anon 12:58’s comment re Peterson “I think I see him struggle with his faith” (this thought by itself) is precisely what I think.

Harvard professor blames Christian 'malignant delusion' for anti-lockdown protest and faces the wrath of social media

A Harvard professor and public intellectual said that Evangelical Christianity was to blame for the movement against the lockdown over the coronavirus, and social media did not respond warmly.

Steven Pinker posted a tweet in support of the thesis being put forth in an opinion piece in the Washington Post criticizing the Evangelical Christian worldview for the lockdown protests.

"Belief in an afterlife is a malignant delusion, since it devalues actual lives and discourages action that would make them longer, safer, and happier. Exhibit A: What's really behind Republicans wanting a swift reopening? Evangelicals," he tweeted.

Craig,

This is what I object to along with my reasoning:

Briefly, I grew up in a Presbyterian USA "church" that proclaimed the "social gospel" along with the philosophy of men. Christ and His word was not emphasized because they simply didn't REALLY believe. As I grew into my teens, I noticed that this philosophy had zero impact on my life, and I was left empty. Although I was thirsty for truth, I was never shown "the way, the truth and the life."

I don't believe that you maliciously post things that are meant to do harm. BUT, I can't help but think that MAYBE there is a young person visiting this site and is searching for answers. Your ringing endorsement of Peterson & Pinker could very well lead someone astray by pointing them to someone that you "really enjoy listening to."

Ultimately, Peterson & Pinker (along with all of the other secular philosophers) will lead to an empty, dead end. Their philosophy, by their own admission, only deals with "the here and now." It will not lead anyone to Christ.

Therein lies my objection, along with what I feel is a duty to warn anyone that might be lead onto an empty path of men's vain philosophical wanderings.

"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ." Colossians 2:8

Your ringing endorsement of Peterson & Pinker could very well lead someone astray by pointing them to someone that you "really enjoy listening to."

So, it was all for the sake of impressionable young readers who might visit this site.

My initial comment was a parenthetical response to another who mentioned Peterson. It was hardly a “ringing endorsement”.

You wrote: Ultimately, Peterson & Pinker (along with all of the other secular philosophers) will lead to an empty, dead end. Their philosophy, by their own admission, only deals with "the here and now." It will not lead anyone to Christ (bold added).

That’s a pretty definitive, dogmatic, and fatalistic statement. If I and Anon 12:58 (and others) are correct that Peterson is struggling or searching, then it is possible that he may eventually come out in faith. Should that happen, given Peterson’s influence, it could lead—and I’d surmise very likely would lead—some to Christ. Should Pinker, by some miracle, come to faith—not unlike the miracle of my own conversion—this could have a similar effect. You seem to limit God here. Some impressionable individuals reading here might think there’s no hope for the conversion of someone they know.

In the "Brief Update -- and Coming soon, a Polish language edition of Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow" thread you wrote the following:

For many years, I have personally known people that have put their faith and trust in the false doctrine of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture (my bold).

John MacArthur teaches the Pre-Trib Rapture. So does J. Vernon McGee. Given your view that this is a “false doctrine” (I don’t disagree), in your view, does this make MacArthur and McGee false teachers? Why or why not?

Here is a good example how Christians can talk about SJW issues. If we don't dare to say these types of things because they are too religious, then it's game over. We will continue taking two steps forward and one step back, losing the culture wars over time, in spite of backlashes that are only temporary. The reason? Each young generation wants and needs a moral vision and worldview. If Christians don't give it to them, they will get it from somebody else. Petty, reactive voices can't give them this moral vision.

Craig,

Regarding your post @ 5:06 PM

IMO, you are missing the point. Peterson & Pinker cannot in any way, shape or form be compared to J. Vernon McGee or John MacArthur. By attempting to justify your endorsement of Peterson & Pinker, you are making your case based upon a supposition; that "Peterson may eventually come out in faith." The fact is, he (along with Pinker) CURRENTLY undermines the authenticity of the Holy Scriptures and the Christian faith, so following or endorsing him now with the "hope" that he "might" become a Christian in the future is a real stretch of logic.

Regarding your question "does this make MacArthur and McGee false teachers? Why or why not?"

Christians have not, and will not, in this life, become "perfected" in their knowledge and understanding. That surely includes you and me. In fact, MacArthur would have strongly disagreed with McGee regarding the doctrine of Election. MacArthur professes to be a "5 point Calvinist," McGee certainly never did. I don't think that would have stopped them from having fellowship, based upon the thought that the other was a "false teacher," do you? I'm sure they would have had some very strong discussions, but in the end, would have ended their time in prayer as "brothers in Christ." At least I hope so.

Martin Luther was an incredible man of faith that God used mightily. Almost 575 years have passed since his death, yet his life is still being written about and his writings are still studied. However, Luther held to the false Catholic doctrine of Transubstantiation for the remainder of his life. Does that "false doctrine" negate all of the rest of his teachings, thereby rendering him a false teacher? Of course not.

John Calvin is considered by many to be one of the greatest theologians that ever lived. Yet, Calvin held to the false doctrine of infant Baptism. Because Calvin was "wrong" about infant Baptism, does that make him a "false teacher?" Of course not.

David committed adultery with Bathsheba whereby she became pregnant. David then conspired to get her husband, a righteous man, killed in battle, in an attempt to hide his sin. Because of David's horrific sins, should we count him a "false teacher" and cross out all of his Psalms? Of course not. David was forgiven, but he and his family suffered much for what he did.

MacArthur, McGee, Luther and Calvin would all have been in complete agreement on the Deity of Christ, the Trinity, the Virgin Birth, the Depravity of Man via Original Sin, the absolute necessity of the New Birth, the Inherancy of Scripture, the utter hopelessness of those that are outside of Christ, Redemption obtained only through Christ's atoning death, burial and resurrection, the Imputed Righteousness of Christ to God's Elect, the Bible as the ONLY authority upon which all faith and practices are to be based, the Resurrection of the just and unjust, eternal punishment for the unjust, eternal life with Christ for the just (that are found in Christ), the Flood, Noah's Ark, all of the miracles that are recorded in Scripture, the literal account of Creation in Genesis, ... I could go on, but I think you get the picture.

Peterson & Pinker would be in complete agreement that ALL of the above is FALSE ! Who then should be considered "false teachers?"

Christians are admonished to "... earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints." Jude 1:3

RayB,

Thanks for your response and doing so in the way I anticipated. What this is all about in one word is: context.

Like you, I don’t think any of those theologians you mentioned are “false teachers”—within the context of Christianity in a general sense. But I don’t listen to Peterson or Pinkman for their views of Christian theology, nor do I measure them by that standard. Your persistence in measuring them in such a way is wrongheaded.

Re your statement: By attempting to justify your endorsement of Peterson & Pinker, you are making your case based upon a supposition; that "Peterson may eventually come out in faith." It was you who initially made the very dogmatic statement that they would definitely not lead to Christ, and I was merely countering your dogmatic statement. In the final scheme of things you may or may not be correct in your initial dogmatic statement; I merely noted that there was a possibility you could be wrong.

In context, Jude 1:3 is about defending the church from individuals coming into the church, subverting it. Neither Pinker nor Peterson has done that. Again: context. Measure persons and situations within their relative spheres. In their own way, Pinker and Peterson are helping in the culture wars. And that is valuable. Those who think more logically and take personal responsibility are more apt to be receptive to the Gospel message.

I do believe that there are places where the mythological and the literal touch.

We have to rediscover the eternal values and then live them out.

The connection between psychology, mythology, and literature is as important as the connection between psychology and biology and the hard sciences.

You may say, 'Well, dragons don't exist.' It's, like, yes they do - the category 'predator' and the category 'dragon' are the same category. It absolutely exists. It's a superordinate category. It exists absolutely more than anything else. In fact, it really exists.

I think "Soros is an EVIL MONSTER" is just another way of being anti-Semitic (because you can't just out and out say "the Jews are behind it") as well as the right taking on its own group identity and victimization.

And the trope appears to have led directly itself to more death than anything I've seen documented as directly related to Soros.

And, foreign bots don't have to really debate ideas when they can just say "Soros" and "Trump" --- "blah, blah, blah" and get a reaction, retweets, clickbait.

Every stupid thing a liberal does isn't Soros's fault.

Every stupid thing a Trump supporter does isn't Trump's fault.

All the money in the world couldn't pay for all the stupidity out there. Humans suck because humans suck and no one is good other than Him. Take responsibility.

This was a comment I like from Justin Peterson -- in some talk he said that democracy works best when both the right and left work together in the middle. This is also the reason a marriage between a man and woman works best since my wife and I, for example, see the world with completely different brain lense filters. Together we are stronger to withstand life's difficulties. Same thing for our republic. Satan isn't choosing sides....all he needs to do is kill the middle. Make it so both sides believe they are the victim of the other.

You don't have to believe or trust anything written with opposing viewpoints...but read it nonetheless and try to figure out for yourself what is the most likely truth with the understanding that none of us is ever going to TRULY KNOW everything (which is why we rely on the revelation of God who does know everything). There's no compromising if we can't even agree on some basic facts, especially on a blog like this where we KNOW satan is the enemy and the true "conspiracy", not liberals or conservatives. We know satan is working on both the new age liberals and new age conservative (like Newt Gingrich, NAR, Prosperity Gospel), who will eventually join together under one world religion (by choice or by force) and divide out us Christians. We need more real Christians to save as many as we can...not more Repulicans, Democrats, liberals or conservatives.

One of the bedrock claims (not talked about much these days) of Evolutionists is that "mankind will continue to evolve and become better and better as time goes on and war will eventually be seen as destructive futility, etc." (paraphrase).

Pinker is, as is Jordan Peterson, a social Darwinist philosopher.

His book; "The Better Angels of Our Nature: Why Violence Has Declined" is reflective of his Darwinistic philosophy. Question; is violence in the world really diminishing? What does the Bible say about "violence" and the end times? Is violence increasing or is it decreasing?

Matthew 24:37-39

But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

NOTE: what else was Noah's days known for (a point that is seldom emphasized) ? (Block lettering for emphasis)

Genesis 6:11 "The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with VIOLENCE."

Genesis 6:13 "And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; FOR THE EARTH IS FILLED WITH VIOLENCE through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth."

What has been said in the pages of 'The Jews & Their Lies', by Martin Luther, the so-called "incredible man of faith"

The following are excerpts from Luther’s work:

"I had made up my mind to write no more either about the Jews or against them. But since I learned that these miserable and accursed people do not cease to lure to themselves even us, that is, the Christians, I have published this little book, so that I might be found among those who opposed such poisonous activities of the Jews who warned the Christians to be on their guard against them. I would not have believed that a Christian could be duped by the Jews into taking their exile and wretchedness upon himself. However, the devil is the god of the world, and wherever God's word is absent he has an easy task, not only with the weak but also with the strong. May God help us. Amen.
* * *
"Now just behold these miserable, blind, and senseless people ... their blindness and arrogance are as solid as an iron mountain.
* * *
"Therefore the blind Jews are truly stupid fools...
* * *
"Did I not tell you earlier that a Jew is such a noble, precious jewel that God and all the angels dance when he farts?
* * *
"What shall we Christians do with this rejected and condemned people, the Jews?...I shall give you my sincere advice:

"First to set fire to their synagogues or schools and to bury and cover with dirt whatever will not burn, so that no man will ever again see a stone or cinder of them...

"Second, I advise that their houses also be razed and destroyed. For they pursue in them the same aims as in their synagogues. Instead they might be lodged under a roof or in a barn, like the gypsies. This will bring home to them that they are not masters in our country, as they boast, but that they are living in exile and in captivity, as they incessantly wail and lament about us before God.

"Third, I advise that all their prayer books and Talmudic writings, in which such idolatry, lies, cursing and blasphemy are taught, be taken from them...

"Fourth, I advise that their rabbis be forbidden to teach henceforth on pain of loss of life and limb."
---
"Fifth, I advise that safeconduct on the highways be abolished completely for the Jews. For they have no business in the countryside, since they are not lords, officials, tradesmen, or the like. Let them stay at home.
---
"Sixth, I advise that...all cash and treasure of silver and gold be taken from them..."
---
"No, one should toss out these lazy rogues by the seat of their pants.
* * *
"But what will happen even if we do burn down the Jews' synagogues and forbid them publicly to praise God, to pray, to teach, to utter God's name? They will still keep doing it in secret. If we know that they are doing this in secret, it is the same as if they were doing it publicly. for our knowledge of their secret doings and our toleration of them implies that they are not secret after all and thus our conscience is encumbered with it before God.
* * *
"Accordingly, it must and dare not be considered a trifling matter but a most serious one to seek counsel against this and to save our souls from the Jews, that is, from the devil and from eternal death. My advice, as I said earlier, is:

"First, that their synagogues be burned down
...
* * *
"My essay, I hope, will furnish a Christian (who in any case has no desire to become a Jew) with enough material not only to defend himself against the blind, venomous Jews, but also to become the foe of the Jews’ malice, lying, and cursing, and to understand not only that their belief is false but that they are surely possessed by all devils."

Few books can credibly offer a way to save the world, but this one does. The Intellectual We Deserve

Jordan Peterson’s popularity is the sign of a deeply impoverished political and intellectual landscape…
by Nathan J. Robinson

If you want to appear very profound and convince people to take you seriously, but have nothing of value to say, there is a tried and tested method. First, take some extremely obvious platitude or truism. Make sure it actually does contain some insight, though it can be rather vague. Something like “if you’re too conciliatory, you will sometimes get taken advantage of” or “many moral values are similar across human societies.” Then, try to restate your platitude using as many words as possible, as unintelligibly as possible, while never repeating yourself exactly. Use highly technical language drawn from many different academic disciplines, so that no one person will ever have adequate training to fully evaluate your work. Construct elaborate theories with many parts. Draw diagrams. Use italics liberally to indicate that you are using words in a highly specific and idiosyncratic sense. Never say anything too specific, and if you do, qualify it heavily so that you can always insist you meant the opposite. Then evangelize: speak as confidently as possible, as if you are sharing God’s own truth. Accept no criticisms: insist that any skeptic has either misinterpreted you or has actually already admitted that you are correct. Talk as much as possible and listen as little as possible. Follow these steps, and your success will be assured. (It does help if you are male and Caucasian.)

Jordan Peterson appears very profound and has convinced many people to take him seriously. Yet he has almost nothing of value to say. This should be obvious to anyone who has spent even a few moments critically examining his writings and speeches, which are comically befuddled, pompous, and ignorant. They are half nonsense, half banality. In a reasonable world, Peterson would be seen as the kind of tedious crackpot that one hopes not to get seated next to on a train.

But we do not live in a reasonable world. In fact, Peterson’s reach is astounding. His 12 Rules for Life is the #1 most-read book on Amazon, where it has a perfect 5-star rating. One person said that when he came across a physical copy of Peterson’s first book, “I wanted to hold it in my hands and contemplate its significance for a few minutes, as if it was one of Shakespeare’s pens or a Gutenberg Bible.” The world’s leading newspapers have declared him one of the most important living thinkers. The Times says his “message is overwhelmingly vital,” and a Guardian columnist grudgingly admits that Peterson “deserves to be taken seriously.” David Brooks thinks Peterson might be “the most influential public intellectual in the Western world right now.” He has been called “the deepest, clearest voice of conservative thought in the world today” a man whose work “should make him famous for the ages.” Malcolm Gladwell calls him “a wonderful psychologist.” And it’s not just members of the popular press that have conceded Peterson’s importance: the chair of the Harvard psychology department praised his magnum opus Maps of Meaning as “brilliant” and “beautiful.” Zachary Slayback of the Foundation for Economic Education wonders how any serious person could possibly write off Peterson, saying that “even the most anti-Peterson intellectual should be able to admit that his project is a net-good.” We are therefore presented with a puzzle: if Jordan Peterson has nothing to say, how has he attracted this much recognition? If it’s so “obvious” that he can be written off as a charlatan, why do so many people respect his intellect?

_______________________________________________________________________________________

You know, if you had taken the time to do your homework, you would already KNOW that George Soros (a Hungarian Jew) is the one who is 'ANTI-SEMITIC'... because, he betrayed his OWN Jewish people during World War II.

In this 1998 interview on "60 Minutes"... George Soros admits that he escaped the Holocaust, posing as a 'Christian.' Knowing full well what the outcome would be, he helped his godfather confiscate property from the Jews, and stood by silently and watched his own Jewish people unknowingly being sent off to death camps.

Today, in the year 2020, by funding both ANTIFA and BlackLivesMatter... George Soros is 'knowingly' using his tremendous wealth to attempt an overthrow of our current Capitalistic government to bring about Socialism.

Maybe YOU are OK with living under Socialism... but, I am NOT. Or, maybe you just have a different definition of what a 'monster' is.

In St. Louis David Dorn’s life matters/mattered:

Murder of retired police captain David Dorn hits community hard

KSDK News

ST. LOUIS — All Wednesday afternoon, a memorial to retired St. Louis police Captain David Dorn kept growing outside Lee's Pawn and Jewelry Shop on the city's north side.

"I saw the video of him being shot and it just really stirred in my heart. It was senseless," said Saint Louis University student Olivia Freeman.

Riots Break Out Near White House, Monuments Vandalized

Freeman's heart sank after hearing the 77-year-old husband, father and grandfather had been shot and killed by a suspected looter while working as a security guard outside the pawn shop.

"I would call him a hero. I think he deserves as much justice as anybody else. I mean he served our community for so long," added Freeman with tears streaming down her face.

The SLU student placed flowers at the memorial to the beloved law enforcement leader.

"I just pray that God comforts his family right now," Freeman said.

Dorn proudly served nearly 40 years with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. After retiring in 2007, he became the Chief of Police in Moline Acres.

"My heart was shattered when I heard about what happened to him. He served his community and he served his family. I enjoyed meeting him," said Pastor Ralph Petty from City of Refuge Church, which is near Lee's Pawn and Jewelry Shop.

On Wednesday, Pastor Petty held a prayer for Dorn's family and the St. Louis community during an online service.

"This man was someone's father and grandfather. He made us all proud. Whoever did this to him should be ashamed and embarrassed. I've taken a stance to bring peace and to try to calm, try to bring calmness in our African American community," said Pastor Petty.

"It really is awful," said Cody Longanecker of St. Charles.

On Thursday, Longanecker will hold a peace march down Dr. Martin Luther King Drive where the highly respected, retired police captain lost his life.

"This will be in memory of David Dorn and a call to end violence in St. Louis. It also will be in memory of everyone else who's died of senseless violence," said Longanecker.

The Memorial Peace March to David Dorn will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday outside Lee's Pawn and Jewelry shop, which is located at 4123 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive.

George Soros is also the genius behind the (remember?) Occupy Movement(s), and the MeToo psy-op.

For me the real gravity of the situation hit home when I asked myself; "why doesn't Trump do anything about George Soros?"
I mean, wasn't George Soros booted out of the UK permanently? Yes.
Hmmm... so Trump isn't afraid of the U.S. mainstream media, and he isn't afraid of the cancerous, slanderous, lying Democrat Party. But apparently he is afraid of George Soros?
Hmmm.
Shouldn't George Soros be locked up on about five different felony charges, like Sedition, Treason, Inciting a riot, slander, aiding and abetting, and accomplice to murder, for starters?
What's up?

The reason Trump doesn't "do something" about Soros is because Soros is an old man that has given away large chunks of money to charitable foundations that they then do whatever their directors and charters decide and permit. Soro isn't the boogeyman. He'll be 90 this summer. Further if you had actually watched the video you linked --- he was 15 years old when, in order to survive the Nazi (re)occupation of Hungary, was fake "adopted" by a Christian family to avoid being killed by the Nazis. According to the video you provided he was also a 15 year old bystander in the removal of Jewish property (done by the man who took him in and protecting him). I know you'd prefer that Soros was dead but Jewish children shouldn't be made to bear guilt for not being killed in WWII.

Calling you an anti-Semitic liar is NOT defending him. He's an atheist. He is lost and prone to all sorts of sin. I've heard all sorts of horrible things about the Open Society Foundation but when you read about it Wikipedia (I know - a libtard controlled website and doesn't know anything) the charter doesn't sound absolutely awful to me --- it IS really progressive and democrat supporting but doesn't look "evil" and more than BOTH political parties are evil. But I'm sure there are sinful corrupt far-leftist in the organizations Open Society Foundation gave grants to that mess it up for the rest of them. Just as extreme far-righters mess it up sometimes for the far-right. I'm merely pointing out the improbability that he alone, to a any significant degree is doing what he is being accused of doing. He may have done some shady stuff to make his money in the past --- as did Trump, the Kushners, the Kennedy's, Koch Brothers and lots of wealthy families with power and wealth. Further...If you had the money...and gave it away to organizations of your choosing I'm sure you'd have critics too.

Point is -- I don't really care other than the lie that Soros really isn't just being used as a convenient shortcut for blaming whatever failure the right endures or causes as "we all know the Jews are orchestrating this". Maybe you need to take a hard look in the mirror and ask yourself if you, too, are secretly being controlled and funded by Soros. I hope you don't find anything.

Does anyone else out there have any thoughts about this?

Why Doesn’t Trump Close Down Soros? [Could This Be The Answer?]

By RBN Staff

George Soros invested $160 million in Donald Trump’s Chicago skyscraper in 2004.

In 2009, he spent Christmas Eve at a private party with Soros.

In 2011, when Trump was challenged by Tea Party activists on his close relationship to Soros, he responded: “Forget Soros. Leave him alone. Let’s talk about somebody else.”

As President, Trump has filled his cabinet with Soros’ friends and financial partners.

Thanks for posting the piece on Jordan Peterson. I read the rest of the article at the link that you provided and pretty much agree with everything contained in it, with one exception; I do agree with Peterson that the left uses radical, Mao type philosophies and tactics (such as the Trans movement illustration he addressed). Is the Canadian Trans movement actively promoting mass murder as Mao did? No. Could such radical "join us or you are the enemy" mandates eventually lead to that? Yes.

Having said that, I find Peterson to be rather boring. He really does drone on and on without really saying much of anything. I recall attempting to get through one of his lecture series (in order to find out what he was about) and had an awful time staying awake ... and that was with an ample supply of coffee ... which I normally try to avoid.

Long winded, verbose, ambiguous thoughts, wrapped in a seemingly prideful intellectualism, along with what appears to be an air of self importance. This man takes himself VERY seriously. When he speaks, he appears to think that is breaking new intellectual ground, i.e., such profound thoughts have never been uttered before. Perhaps he's right, because no one, other than other confused "intellectuals," seems to really understand and appreciate what in the world he is even attempting to say.

Long ago, I once worked for a boss that was an artful "double talker," and used this tactic at various times during, usually, one on one meetings. The guy was simply amazing. He could drone on and on, employing thoughtful expressions, using effective, thoughtful pauses, changing his emotions as he spoke, etc. He really ACTED like he was saying something important ... so "pay attention." When the meeting was over, I'd walk out of his office thinking there was something wrong with ME, because I couldn't understand anything that he was saying. If someone asked me what we talked about in our meeting, I wouldn't be able to string two sentences together. After quite awhile had passed, I caught on to his "double talk" trick when other employees told me that they had experienced the exact same thing. Why he did this, I will never know. After several years had passed, I once brought the subject up regarding his "double talk," he responded by looking away and smiled without saying another word.

Peterson and his ilk remind me of my old boss ! The only difference is this; they are making money and enjoying the acclaim of the world ... all for uttering a lot of platitudes laced with convoluted nonsense.

Ray....now I get it. You prefer 30 year old, pompous, incomprehensible, uber-secular, socialist, intellectuals with British accents like Nathan Robinson. He's so secular he doesn't even like atheists because their views/beliefs are something or another --- Nathan Robinson.

Here's his book: https://www.amazon.com/Were-All-Socialists-Now-Dream/dp/1250200865

Here's a quote of his:

"I’m probably part of the problem here: I’m reluctant to call myself an atheist, precisely because people I loathe have done so much damage to the label’s reputation. And yet, I suppose I count as one. My position is actually not quite atheistic: I don’t believe that the proposition “God exists” is false, exactly. Instead, I believe the proposition is so incoherent that it makes no sense to call it either true or false, because I don’t think the word “God” has any kind of meaning that I am capable of grasping. (This, like essentially all of my other beliefs, is essentially just a reformulation of Noam Chomsky’s view on the subject.) That makes me thoroughly a-theistic, in the sense that I lack any kind of theological belief, but I’m not going to get into arguments with Christians about the existence or nonexistence of a Supreme Being, because I don’t understand what such a “being” could even be."

I'm not really defending Jordan Peterson. I have had my head in the sand and didn't really listen to him at all until very recently. He makes a lot of sense to me but I was looking for help with understanding his beliefs. I appreciated your earlier critiques and I'd love to see a Jordan Perterson and J Mac round table someday. I assume you listen to some secular musicians and secular movies, so I am kind of surprised your seeming political differences with a moderate like Jordan Peterson takes you to such an extreme you find Nathan Robinson comprehensible. What I find telling and shocking is Justin Peterson seems to be about as far conservative as any professor can possibly go in Academia and "Science". He's nearly been fired for his views several times." - https://www.currentaffairs.org/2017/10/getting-beyond-new-atheism

Anyway...if you have a clip of J.P. you can't seem to understand or think is double talk --- provide a link and I'll try to explain it to you OR agree with you. I would likely fall asleep watching his college lectures too...because I'm old enough to have learned or lived much of it. Sadly...kids today have NO IDEA how bad marxism would be and IMO any voice pointing out that extreme leftists are just as dangerous as the extreme right (not you -- but like white supremacist right) are OK by me.

*only watched and read a little of Nathan Robinson. He may have some decent content somewhere I didn't look but from what I read he actually seemed a LOT more like psuedo-intellectual fools gold than J.P. To each his own.

I am just curious as to why an atheist would even want to post here on this blog - which is mostly full of Christians fighting the New Age Movement. Are you simply a provocateur? Or, perhaps you long for the days when pagan spectators in an ancient coliseum enjoyed watching lions tearing apart and eating Christians for sport? Or, being forced to deal with the reality of living in more modern times, you prefer attempting to 'poison the well' by boring us to tears with your arrogant pseudo intellectual thoughts and ideas? One huge mistake you are making is underestimating the strong, unshakable faith that Christians here on this blog have in their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In short, you are completely wasting your time here, unless your supreme arrogance leaves you enjoying the sound of your own lone 'voice' as you type paragraph after paragraph of your senseless drivel.

Craig says he likes Jordan Peterson and Steven Pinker for daring to be anti-PC regarding feminism. As Christians our choices are not between Peterson/Pinker on the one hand, and Twitter SJW mobs on the other hand. The Christian conversation regarding gender is couched in terms of complementarian theology on the more conservative end, vs. egalitarian theology on the more liberal end. The Bible, with this as with other issues, is a little bit of salt and pepper here, and a little bit of salt and pepper there. It does not lay out complementarianism theology or egalitarianism theology. Some passages can support one more; some can support the other more.

My question is: why should Christians accept this false dichotomy on its face (Leftist mob vs. anti-PC characters), rather than presenting alternatives to both?

And shouldn't we be all about standing up for Christianity, much more so than reacting against the world (even the PC Leftist mob world)?

If we are for Christ, we are already against the world (meaning the Zeitgeist, the prevailing culture, not the material world). And that includes more than selectively resisting PC culture.

If we are for Jesus, we will always already be opposed to the world.

It's been said that those who don't stand for something, will fall for anything.

It could also be said that those who stand against something, may fall for anything -- or anyone -- that is associated with being against, whatever they are against.

The second proposition is just another variation of the first.

Anon 8:15,

Thanks for your comment. In your short paraphrase of my reason for listening to Peterson and Pinker, you've oversimplified it a bit. My example which used the current extreme feminism (as now exposed in Cassie Jaye's documentary The Red Pill, e.g.) was merely one example. It's not the sole reason. The reason I enjoy listening to both in their respective realms (and in distinction from seeing them as Christian theologians) is:

(a) Pinker, a Leftist, reasons logically from his own position to the illogical on his own side. While he disagrees with the right, he also will call out those on the left who label (to be a tad hyperbolic) anyone to the right of Marx as a Nazi, for he is a free speech advocate (see the short video I referenced in the first 200 comments in which Pinker points out the hypocrisy of some on the Left and their intolerance).

(b) Peterson, more of a right-leaning centrist, is very much trying to help ALL people, regardless of political views and gender, and, at the same time, does a great job exposing Marxism in the schools (since he’d been a prof for quite a while), and defends his positions quite well by adeptly rejecting the premises of loaded questions thrown at him. This is exemplified in his conversation with Cathy Newman:

Jordan Peterson debate on the gender pay gap, campus protests and postmodernism

Now, to your question: My question is: why should Christians accept this false dichotomy on its face (Leftist mob vs. anti-PC characters), rather than presenting alternatives to both?

I reject your premise. You’ve expressed your own false dichotomy. It’s not a matter of accepting the former as opposed to presenting Christian alternatives. On the university campuses—assuming they ever get back to actually meeting on campus—Marxist ideology runs rampant and with it are those folks who strongly adhere to its own “honor/shame” collectivism (Twitter/Leftist mobs). Strong university voices such as Peterson and Pinker adding a bit of levity thereby allowing the Christian voice to remain, to not be completely stifled. Should the Christian voice on a particular campus be stifled by the Leftist mobs (which label Christianity as “hate speech”), with no one on the Left to counter them and advocate for free speech generally, then Christians would not even have the opportunity to present alternatives.
