As a long time amateur historian on World War II, anti-Semitism, Nazism, and Hitler, I have long been sensitized to Hitler's pronouncements about Jews poisoning the bloodstream of the German people. Now Donald Trump has made several of his recent Trump rallies listen to similar statements about first Mexicans and now all immigrants from all over the world as "verming", poisoning our bloodstream.
Now is Trump lying now about his alleged lack of familiarity with Hitler's Mein Kamp? Or was he lying to reporter Marie Brenner in a 1990 article she wrote about Donald and Ivana Trump that included reactions to his wife Ivana's claims tht he kept a copy of MY NEW ORDER by Adolf Hitler by his bedside. Trump reacted to that by saying that the book was not MY NEW ORDER but instead MEIN KAMPF and was a gift to him by a "Jewish friend" named "Marty Davis", a Paramount films executive. Marie Brenner followed up with Marty Davis who told her:
1. The book I gave him was MY NEW ORDER, a collection of Hitler speeches;
2, "I am not Jewish."

My educated guess based on Trump's statements and recent policy statements about "obliterating" all opposition including RINO's, "fake press," "deep state (all federal civil service employees), Prosecutors and other accusers of him, General Milley, etc., etc., is that Trump most likely CLOSELY READ both MY NEW ORDER and MEIN KAMPF. I believe that he has closely studied histories of Fascist and Nazi leaders, analyzing their mistakes. It appears to me that his statement denying knowledge of MEIN KAMPF is still another lie.
How long until a re-elected and empowered Trump decides that Evangelical Christians who might belatedly catch on to him are "vermin" and "poisoning our bloodstream." I fear, given recent polls, that this is a distinct possibility. I hope I'm wrong, but I fear I'm right.

I have long since noticed the widespread MAGA disregard for Putin's slaughter of Ukraines and wholesale destruction of its infrasture. On February 24, 2022, the day Putin first invaded Ukraine, former President Trump proclaimed him a genius for having done so. Recently, it has been reas ported in some of the television news I have seen that Putin is holding on in Ukraine despite some Russian losses there, in hopes and expectations that Trump will return to office. It has been my own perception that Trump has nourished a grudge against Ukraine since that well publicized phone call. I have never trusted Biden on that issue either I remember watching live TV in my Bloomfield Hills law offices (I closed that office on August 10, 2010 and moved my operation home.) Biden had publicly bragged about getting the Burisma prosecutor fired. NEVERTHELESS, nothing has justified Russia's Ukraine actions.
For that reason, I am recommending you read this new Atlantic Magazine article about Trump and the Ukraine situation. I have not been a fan of NATO over the years, but Trump's threats for NATO defunding and/or withdrawal will make our USA situation nothing but worse.

This is what is so infuriating about you. You make judgments on people's relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ based upon their political persuasions. Had you been alive back then, you most certainly would have been condemning Jesus for healing the Roman Centurion's son, because the Centurion just had to be evil because they were associated with Rome! If what he says is true, that he is the most investigated and attacked man in history, how in the world could he be strong at all, given that while he actually was the most powerful man in the world, he couldn’t stop these forces or do anything about them. They are not.
Strength comes from a sense of self, purpose, and a love for justice. Not justice in the sense of the sword, but in the righteous use of the law and fairness to give everyone a chance. Strength comes from having the courage to stand for the weak and voiceless, loving even your enemy, and shedding tears at the plight of the homeless, or the poor migrant trying desperately to provide for his family. That is strength.

I have not posted before on this thread. The word 'justify' (or not), in the non-theological sense you use it, involves moral judgement. I am not going to do that for either side in this war. But here some facts of realpolitik.
Ukraine was promised NATO membership at the Bucharest NATO summit in 2008 (paragraph 23: “NATO welcomes Ukraine’s and Georgia’s Euro Atlantic aspirations for membership in NATO. We agreed today that these countries will become members of NATO...”) although concerns by France and Germany that this could lead to nuclear war shelved any ‘Membership Action Plan’ for Ukraine. Russia had been catastrophically invaded across its western frontiers by Napoleon and Hitler, each leading a movement that blew oput of nowhere in less than 30 years. Russia survived because of its size: Moscow is 1000 miles from Berlin and farther from Paris. NATO membership for Ukraine, however, could mean US nuclear missiles and troops stationed less than 350 miles from Moscow along a plain. Now look at this quote from the chapter on Russia in Tim Marshall's interesting 2015 book "Prisoners of Geography" about the effects of geography on politics, continent by continent: “Now that Ukraine was no longer Soviet, or even pro-Russian, Putin knew the situation had to change. Did the Western diplomats know? If they didn't, then they were unaware of Rule A, Lesson One in ‘Diplomacy for Beginners’: when faced with what is considered an existential threat, a great power will use force.”
Here also is a quote from From the chapter on Russia in the 1994 book "The Peoples of Europe" (ed. Felipe Fernández-Armesto): "The other great controversy centred on Kievan Rus concerns links between Russia and Ukraine. This is an issue of the most compelling importance today, with the Ukraine newly-emerged as an independent state. For the vast majority of Russians, Kievan Rus was a Russian state and in consequence, all the lands of Kievan Rus are still today ‘Russian lands’ – and that includes Ukraine. Now the EU is talking about offering Ukraine membership. Without discussing the morality of this war, does all this give you a better understanding of why Putin invaded? I'm frankly surprised it took him so long, but his economy wasn't strong and only recently had he got a boost from the rising price of gas he was selling to Germany as a result of Germany's suicidal green energy policies (attempting to drop fossil fuels AND nuclear reactors - Merkel has a doctorate in physical chemistry and knew what she was doing).
If Washington and Brussels want to start World War 3 then they are doing everything right.

Animals are acting odd tonight. First we spotted the neighbor's dog a 1/4 mile down the road this afternoon and walk him back. Then the guineas are sounding the alarm and I look out the window and one of the hens had her neck craned just staring at something. Then I let the calves out for some grain before bed and while I was busy they bolted. Very strange. Then the feral cat we've been feeding the last year shows herself for the first time on top of a wall by the motorhome yowling so I went in and finished the St Andrew novena with her accompanying. She has always told me that the animals can speak at midnight on Christmas Eve but I'll be asleep by then.

The GOP hates the Dominion Voting system because, unlike ESS machines that they've controlled and manipulated for years throughout the country, Dominion has an auditable paper trail that makes cheating harder for the GOP.
The fact alone that Georgia flipped to blue in 2020 is proof enough they've been cheating for years.
I'm sure any legitimate analysis of ESS voting systems would disclose even MORE vulnerabilities but, at least with Dominion, there are ways to check, double check, cross check and verify because you have an actual paper ballot backup for every vote.

I see no reason why Christians can't gather in this way. It has been a time honored way for Christians to fellowship, both in the ancient world and in colonial America.
Organized religion went wrong as far back as Constantine. Constantine began paying the clergy from the state coffers.
It used to be that the church fathers were scandalized by any heretics who asked for money for themselves (as opposed to asking for money for charity). Asking for money to support their own ministries was a characteristic of one of the first sects of heretics, the Montanists, who very strongly resembled present-day Charismatics.
Well that's ok if Mrs. Cumbey, and her comrade X want to "trust the science", or take the lukewarm wide path that leads to destruction, or trust in the Beast Systems mouthpiece media. A caution about the Jesus' Words Only web site if you visit it. They had me convinced that Paul was a fake. I've been researching it in layer after layer ever since. I've finally concluded that there is a real historical Paul who had three layers of interpolation and pseudepigraphical writing covering him in the New Testament.
The real historical Paul can be seen in the book of Acts. The epistles of Paul that are widely agreed to be real, not pseudepigraphical, were mutilated by the early heretic Marcion. After Marcion mutilated them, early Catholics interpolated them, trying to counter Marcionite heresy.
Some ancient writings blend Paul with Simon Magus, but the two are so different that it's very unlikely they were the same person.
Another early heretic, Cerinthus, was both a gnostic and a Judaizer; unlike Marcion, who was proto-gnostic but anti-Torah and anti-Jehovah.
Cerinthus taught that the Torah had been given by the Demiurge, not by God Almighty. But he was a Judaizer. AND he is known to have visited Galatia. But Marcion is known to have mutilated the epistle to the Galatians.
The Jesus' Words Only web site has it that Paul in Galatians is against the Judaizers who are the same as the twelve apostles. It is far more likely that the real historical Paul was against the gnostic Judaizer Cerinthus. Then Marcion wrote interpolations to make Paul face off against Peter and the twelve. Then early Catholics wrote interpolations to try to undo the Marcion heresy.
Underneath it all was likely a primitive letter written by Paul to the Galatians to undo the damage done by Cerinthus who had visited them and confused them. And he didn't say much in this letter except to tell the Galatians that they do not have to be circumcised (nor by implication to obey all 630 moral, civil and ceremonial laws of the Jews in order to be saved, like Cerinthus taught). This is in accord with Acts.
Sadly it is very tricky to attempt to uncover the primitive historical Paul in his epistles. I think this trickiness has understandably confused the Jesus' Words Only web site authors, along with many other Paul skeptics.

The Pastorals (letters to Timothy and Titus) are pseudepigraphical writings by early Catholics. The real historical Paul lived in a time without highly developed church hierarchy.
The passage in Timothy about women not having authority over men is like one half of a phone conversation overheard. It doesn't make a lot of sense unless it was a response to a far left sect within Montanism, which was the ancient version of the Charismatic movement. In one far left sect within Montanism, women were at the top of the church hierarchy, because Eve had been the first to taste from the fruit of knowledge.
If you want to regard the words of early Catholics as god breathed and inerrant, that is up to your own conscience, within your own church denomination. I understand that American fundamentalists need to cling to inerrancy of the scriptures they received from the Catholic church, even though the prophet Jeremiah said that the scribes wrote falsely in the Old Testament.
I disagree but respect their freedom of conscience in this regard. I just wish they would be equally scrupulous about all the other scriptures, like the Sermon on the Mount, or Timothy's other qualifications for being pastor. Hint: it wasn't just about being a man. A pastor was supposed to be a good man, too. I don't see very much concern about everything Timothy wrote about pastor qualifications.
I'm glad that the heretical tendencies within the early church were corrected, but I wish they had not been corrected at the expense of scribal integrity. In their defense, they didn't view their own writings as infallible, any more than we see the writings of Calvin or Luther or John Piper or Billy Graham as infallible. They saw the Old Testament as infallible, but they didn't create their own canon for a long time. When they finally did, it was a defense against the proliferation of heresies and pseudepigraphical writings.
It really has nothing to do with politics, though. There were always women in politics. Have you ever heard of the Queen of Sheba or Deborah? Queen Elizabeth? Cleopatra? Male leadership was just a fact of life...except when it wasn't. When it wasn't, the people don't seem to have been thrown for a loop. It's likely because all people everywhere have grown up in families in which they have seen women in private behave with more power than in public.
Just admit you don't like Liz Cheney because she dared to stand up to Donald Trump. Nobody had a problem with her until after she did.

What exactly is an Evangelical? I do think we are feeling the birth pangs now. It starts as tribulation of various kinds then really increases. Matt 24, Luke 21 and Mark 13 show us a beginning of things then by mid chapter things go exponentially into a really big scenario with the rise of the man of sin to take charge with a 3.5 yrs (42 months) reign of terror on people of the Bible who don't believe in his version of "peace and safety".
I don't know when exactly but I think the great tribulation--the last part that lasts 3.5 years is really not too far out there at all now.

Constance supported the USSC nomination of Ketanji Onyika Brown Jackson, a woman that can't even define what a woman is. She's a supporter of the LGBTQ agenda. Jackson also has a history of being pro-abortion, which is radical to the point that human life is being killed. When Christians on this blog attempted to point these facts out, Constance attacked us and said that our opposition to her was 'racially motivated,' which was totally, and absolutely false.
Constance attacked Christian supporters of Trump by falsely labeling us as 'Q-Anon cult members,' 'Trump worshippers,' 'Christ deniers,' claimed that Trump was our 'Messiah,' etc. If that isn't radical, what is?
Constance claimed that Jan.6th. was an 'armed insurrection.' She even compared the protests to Hitler's infamous Beer Hall Putch, in which he had 600 heavily armed paramilitary. The comparison is totally ridiculous. Even the FBI officially testified that law enforcement found no weapons on any of the protestors on Jan. 6th. She made assertions that only a radical could make.
Constance continues to make the radical, unfounded claim that Trump will be a Dictator and will forcefully take over the government. That is the type of radical nonsense being spewed by the left. How will he take over the government without the military? He can't. It is a virtual impossibility.
