I've not expressed compassion or excuses for Mr. Brooks.
Civilians, black and white and other, die all the time when police chase criminals in hot pursuit. This case hardly even involved "hot pursuit". I think the police SHOULD pursue as it's clearly counterproductive for criminals to know they only have to flee and the cops can't chase them ever.
I found it distasteful when I saw the video of him pretending to have the Lord and a clear conscience too. It bothers me when he did it and it bothers me when Rayb and some others do it here while flat-out lying.
Instead of attacking me...find new evidence vindicating your positions of KNOWING it was a racial attack. I'm clearly saying, at this point, I don't think it was. If you are so sure surely you have more convincing evidence than 2015 social media posts.

Sure he was so far away he couldn't actually see they were black. He didn't have a powerful scope or anything but what are the odds that BOTH his victims would be black? Blacks barely even hunt and surely we can read his garbage in here of how much he hated black people online. He HAD TO have known they were black somehow. She quoted Joe Mercola as a expert and lied about the testing as though Pfizer and/or Moderna were obligated to test the vaccine on kids or on "preventing the spread" while failing to mention that the testing did reveal it largely, beyond expectations, reduced illness, reduced transmission, reduced infection and reduced deaths. Such tests and evidence was carried out by Israeli and American health agencies instead of Pfizer and Moderna.
For a doctor to make such inaccurate public statements lifting up Mercola...she has to be a quack.

It was only a matter of time before President Clinton's 2008 gaffes during Hillary's initial presidential bid would re-appear. And re-appear they did when former President Bill Clinton tried to defend Hillary's "super-predator" comment. First, I am appalled at press and media outlets referring to it as the super-predator "myth." She made the statement! Secondly, referring to black kids as super-predators back then is like how people use "thug" now. Lastly, Bill Clinton trying to "inform" Black Lives Matter protesters was akin to Matt Damon trying to school Effie Brown, the only black woman filmmaker on his Project Greenlight, about diversity in Hollywood.
I have heard some black Hillary supporters say that they have never heard of the super-predator comment. Not only did she say it, she recently commented that she "regretted" making the statement. So why are people calling it the super-predator "myth?" This is not fabricated. In 1996, Hillary made comments about certain kids that were super-predators without conscience or empathy that need to be brought "to heel." You can watch the video. The problem is that although Columbine occurred, the term was never used in reference to white criminals. It was only used to refer to black urban kids and to justify "three strikes." These policies were an extension of former President George H.W. Bush's "zero tolerance." Police in schools to bring our children "to heel" has simply lead to our children being assaulted and increasing the "school to prison" pipeline.
Therefore, Hillary's comment holds more significance than simply referring to gang members. It was used to justify mass incarceration for many crack addicts and small dose marijuana users, not dealers. The focus was not rehabilitation of the addicts, but punitive punishment. Prisons are big business in the United States and people business is good! Mandatory minimums and longer sentences makes for huge profits. Have we forgotten about the judges that took bribes from private prisons to send juveniles away? Ironically, now that heroin has taken a foothold in white suburbia, those harsh sentencing guidelines are being struck down in favor of rehabilitation over prison. What about black and Latino addicted youth that were incarcerated? Well, they had to be brought to heel.
I am not saying that we do not have a problem with violence and gangs. My beloved hometown of Chicago is being ransacked by gang violence. However, for Hillary to pretend like her words did not have severe consequences on the black community is an insult.
Ben Jealous, former president of the NAACP, wrote an article on why Bill Clinton needed to apologize for his comments to Black Lives Matters protesters noting how this generation paid the cost for policies Clinton implemented. Like Hillary, instead of an apology, Bill Clinton "regretted" his statements and dismissed the protesters as "young people just trying to get good television."
...Your words have power for good and bad. Most injured people simply want an apology and not a backhanded one only when you have been forced to acknowledge the harm you caused. Why does Hillary feel she should be exempt for being held accountable for her words? Maybe she needs to be brought to heel.

At the Democratic presidential debate in Brooklyn, Sanders was asked why he attacked Clinton on the campaign trail earlier in the week for using the term.

I'm of the belief that his desire for peace with Russia may very well be the deciding factor as to why the Globalist elite violently opposed Trump, even before he took office. This message was sent to me by text as a part of a devotional and chat discussion which may explain some of the differences in opinions we have here. I didn't write it. I wonder what Craig thinks of it. x
Postmillennialism is currently taking the Christian world by storm. They claim that real Christians are the ones out there changing the culture, transforming society, and creating a Christian world while everyone else is just sitting around waiting for an escape. And I’m sure some you probably are shaking your head in agreement with that. The idea of postmillennialism really does look great from a distance, doesn’t it? Who wouldn’t want to live in a world that’s getting better through the spread of Christianity? But unfortunately, the theology falls apart when we look it at it up close both Biblically and in the real world.
First, let’s look at it realistically. Have you seen this in our world? What does 2022 look like compared to 1922? If you believe postmillennialism is true then you have to believe the world is better, society is more moral, and that there’s a greater percentage of Christians living transformed lives now then there was 100 or 200 or 500 years ago. And that’s simply and very clearly not the case.
More importantly, what happens when we compare postmillennial theology to God’s Word? The Bible clearly promises us that the end the will look worse and worse, not better and better. (Luke 17:26-30, 2 Thessalonians 2:3, 2:10-11, 2 Timothy 3, Jude) It also urges us to wait for the return of Christ with our eye on heaven, not for the society to change with our eye on the world. (Philippians 3:20, Luke 12:36, 1 Peter 1:13, Titus 2:13) It tells us that the Gospel will always be unpopular and hated and that few will find it, never once does it say that it will multiply exponentially and take over the whole world. (Matthew 7:14, 10:22, 2 Timothy 3:12)
But I’ve been over all this before. I know a lot of you disagree and my goal for today isn’t to persuade you otherwise. My goal is to warn you about a very concerning trend I’ve seen emerging from the postmillennial crowd. And it’s why I’ll continue to wave such a big red flag over this topic. And I hope that, no matter where you land on the topic of eschatology, you can agree that it’s an alarming one.
What happens when you believe that our main job as Christians is to transform society and fight the culture war? You end up championing moral causes and partnering with moral people in the quest to change the culture. And so they partner with professing Catholics and Mormons in their fight against abortion or transgenderism or the evil of Hollywood. They applaud heathen celebrities because they take a stand against abortion or the woke agenda. They join up with conservatives in fighting against government corruption and the left. They speak with and promote those who are clear false teachers just because they’re on the same side of the culture war as them.

So what’s the result of this? They’re joining up with moral people who have no Gospel to offer in the name of winning back the culture. Take Matt Walsh for example. He’s shedding light on an important topic in our world. And yet as a Roman Catholic, he doesn’t have the Gospel to give. Only moralism and the law. So the very best individual response is lost, hopeless people who now regret their decision to change genders but are still lost and without hope.
They might convince people that abortion is wrong. They may persuade people to homeschool, stand against the left’s agenda, rise up against the evil of Disney, or recognize the corruption in the government and big pharma. But so what? If they don’t have the Gospel then does it matter? So they might live in a better world with a culture that looks a little better from the outside. If they aren’t being given the hope of the Gospel - the only hope there is - what does it matter? They’re still headed for hell.
I know that some postmillennial leaders are saved and are sharing the true Gospel. But they are still doing much damage in joining up and pointing others to those who do not. They are helping to usher in the antichrist system that will unite all these people under a one-world religion with shouts of “peace! peace!” and promises to bring a world of order, morals, love, and an end to evil and corruption. A world that looks much like the world the postmillennials claim is coming. We need to be aware of it so that we can recognize and step away from this trend and share the truth in love with others.
The Gospel is the only hope we have to offer a world that is headed for destruction. We aren’t trying to make their world a better place to live. We aren’t out winning culture wars. No. We’re sharing the Gospel and the Truth of God’s Word because we know that’s all we are called to do in the Bible. To share Christ in both word and in testimony. This life - for us and for everyone else - is nothing compared to eternity. We’re pilgrims and strangers simply passing through. May we live that out.

Piper's article is perhaps a better articulation that the world does not conform to Piper's preconceived notion of MAGA white nationalist political conservatism under the guise and direction of Christianity. It is one thing to be Christian and another to be a political and/or social conservative. I think I made specific reference to this group but in case i didn't... Newgeorgiaproject.org is a community organization dedicated to assisting persons of color, underserved and/or the handicapped/disabled community and providing assisting voting and even rides to the polls. Thus, it is not shocking that there were cell phones on the drivers of these vans and the very persons assisting handicapped voters that were circling Atlanta back in November 2020 and intersecting with various polling centers and voting locations mulitple times per day. They weren't "mules" at all...but volunteers.

Excerpt: The disclosure by Twitter adds to what is known about China-based efforts to influence American audiences by mimicking the strategies Russia-based operatives used to stoke cultural and political tensions during the 2016 election. In September, Meta announced it had disrupted a China-based operation seeking to influence U.S. politics. The U.S. government also has issued warnings about Chinese influence efforts, as have a spate of reports from cybersecurity firms including Google's Mandiant, Recorded Future and Alethea Group.
Graham Brookie, head of the Atlantic Council's Digital Forensics Research Lab, which also received the data, said the tweets issued by the Chinese networks largely amplified ideas that originated with members of America's ideological extremes.
"This is equal opportunity hyper-partisanship, a tactic that's been more embraced by Russia," said Brookie, who added that the campaign was more assertive than past Chinese efforts. "It's the same theory of the case: A weakened adversary is one that allows you to shape geopolitics more."
One network that Twitter removed, the data showed, included 22 user accounts that tweeted more than 250,000 times. Between April and early October, their posts were generally pro-Trump and conspiratorial, particularly about the pandemic and coronavirus vaccines.

Why 'COVID amnesty' isn't possible

There is an understandable tendency among those who overestimated and overreacted to the COVID-19 threat to use ignorance as an excuse. How could we have known any better when all that was being directed at us was paranoia and panic? How could we have navigated the situation more rationally when it evolved so rapidly?
That is more or less the argument Dr. Emily Oster made in the Atlantic this week when she asked for “COVID amnesty.”
Oster, who, to her credit, was much more clear-headed about the pandemic than others, pointed out that government leaders’ zero-sum approach to the pandemic was both misguided and unnecessary . It’s easy to say so looking back, she said, but in the thick of the pandemic, it was difficult to know what the best course of action was.
She wrote:
The people who got it right, for whatever reason, may want to gloat. Those who got it wrong, for whatever reason, may feel defensive and retrench into a position that doesn’t accord with the facts. All of this gloating and defensiveness continues to gobble up a lot of social energy and to drive the culture wars, especially on the internet. These discussions are heated, unpleasant and, ultimately, unproductive. In the face of so much uncertainty, getting something right had a hefty element of luck. And, similarly, getting something wrong wasn’t a moral failing. Treating pandemic choices as a scorecard on which some people racked up more points than others is preventing us from moving forward.
I’d be much more sympathetic to this argument if the over-the-top government restrictions and social conformity lasted only until the data began rolling in. But that’s not what happened. Instead, the public was forced to live with school closures, mask mandates, and even draconian vaccine mandates for two years — long after we knew that schools weren’t superspreaders, that cloth masks didn’t work, and that vaccines didn’t stop transmission. Two years of forced social isolation, which kept families from holding funerals and weddings and blocked them from visiting loved ones in the hospital. Two years of back-and-forth restrictions, which crushed businesses and closed churches and did immense developmental damage to children with learning disabilities and special needs.

The damage is too great, the consequences too devastating, for us to move on and put it all behind us — especially since the majority of those responsible for the havoc wrought refuse to apologize for or even acknowledge the harm their policies have done. Democratic Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly, for example, said in September that she would make “no apologies” for her decision to shut down the state’s schools despite the enormous academic and social setbacks students have suffered as a result. Disgraced former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo likewise refused to admit that his policy forcing COVID-19 patients into nursing homes cost thousands of lives. And Dr. Anthony Fauci continues to insist that mask mandates were and still are a good idea and that their only downside is that no one wants to obey them.
These people don’t deserve the benefit of the doubt. They certainly didn’t give it to those of us who protested school closures, warned that cloth masks were ineffective, and argued that forcing the young and healthy to abide by restrictions that could only have ever benefited the old and at risk was nonsensical. Instead, we were accused of endangering the lives of those around us.
Until there is a reckoning, we cannot move on. Because until the officials responsible for the devastation of the past two years are forced to own up to what they did, there will be no guarantee that this won’t happen again. The power to control what the public can and cannot do is too tempting and the public health emergency excuse is too convenient for them not to try again. Already, Florida Democratic gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist is saying he would bring back mask mandates if elected to combat the winter surge in cases.
While Oster is right that trying to navigate the pandemic at first was like trying to read a map in the dark, that is not an excuse. It didn’t take long at all for the lights to come back on. And instead of paying attention to the many road signs that warned us we were heading in the wrong direction, countless government officials covered their eyes and pretended that the lights were still off as they drove us off a cliff.
We will not forgive. And we will not forget.

At some point during the alleged attack in which Paul Pelosi was 'bloodied,' Paul Pelosi informed the alleged attacker that he needed to 'use the bathroom,' to which the alleged attacker agreed (assuming that he made Pelosi promise by crossing his heart to come back so that he could resume the alleged attack). Conveniently, Paul Pelosi was charging his phone in the bathroom, so he used it and dialed 911, according to the report "He states there is a male in the home and that he is going to wait for his wife. He stated that he DOESN'T KNOW WHO THE MALE IS BUT THAT HIS NAME IS DAVID and that HE IS A FRIEND. He sounded somewhat confused." HUH ???
We also know a federal affidavit filed on Monday stated that alt right election denial covid vaccine conspiracist DePape told police he initially intended to hold Speaker Pelosi hostage and interrogate her. "If Nancy were to tell DePape the ‘truth,’ he would let her go, and if she ‘lied,’ he was going to break ‘her kneecaps,’" the affidavit stated.

Forgive the person but hold the behavior accountable.
That is what truth in love is about. The balance of both truth and love (the way God tells the truth, the way God loves). That takes a real relationship with the Lord while taking one's own sinfulness and brokenness into account. e are all trying to learn this, some better than others, we are all over the place while we are "practicing", but some are clueless and their posting reveals it.
By his own caustic posting it has been repeatedly shown that X hates people and wants retribution upon those with whom he disagrees. He wants punishment beyond the "crimes" as he believes he solely determines what crimes there are, who is guilty, who is not. This is why he goes over the top to condemn people, people he has no idea of and what their personal motivations are. He is not judge, jury, and executioner but he self-righteously thinks he is. This blog is plastered with his incivility and mean-spiritedness toward those who only disagree with him.
God did not die and leave it up to X to take care of his unfinished business, so we can all be thankful for that. He needs to cool his jets and shut up -- for a good long while-while he hopefully gets some understanding instead of forever darkening counsel in his multitude of words. God had quite a comeback against Job's "friends". he made them shrink in everyone's eyes for their inhumanity. X is a Job's friend to others.
