Dorothy Margraf has CRITICAL infomation for us

Dear Friends: This is urgent information from Dorothy Margraf. Senator Obama evidently will play a critical role on whether this House of Representatives passed bill will live or die. Needless to say, the Iowa folk have a LOT OF INFLUENCE with Senator Obama presently. I urge Iowans to fax, email, and snail mail his office plus phone calls expressing their opinion on it immediately. Ditto for his home based state of Illinois. Ditto for those states with upcoming presidential primaries. I know enough about the process to know that electoral contact is pivotal!

My thanks to Dorothy Margraf for bringing this forcibly to our attention!

[I] was looking on linkfilter.net and came across this item which should prove to be of interest. Online policing of politically unreliable web sites (Senate Bill S-1959) will bring to the US internet what Yahoo has already brought to China: Internet related censorship services and jailed dissidents.

Why is the internet tech community so quiet about this issue? The bill, (S-1959) misleadingly called the Homegrown Terrorism and Violent Radicalization act of 2007 is a thought crime bill. The bill was passed in the house under a curious suspension of the rules usually reserved for non controversial issues like the naming of a post office. A Senate Vote is imminent. Obama sits on the Senate committee responsible for moving it forward or sending it back to nazi Germany.

As of December 27, 2007, Obama says he hasn't yet decided how he will vote.Obama's presidential campaign has been encouraged to contact Robert Scoble for his advice. But what will Scoble say to Senator Obama when he calls?

What if Scoble has been pre-emptively compromised by a web2 business opportunity in the censorship solutions sector of Silicon valley? Maybe Dave Winer can give Scoble a short tutorial on creeping fascism. This dangerous bill is being pushed by the Pentagon through it's favored think tank, the Rand Corporation. If passed it will be another step toward creating an internet policing apparatus complete with watch-lists and user profiles and all the follies associated with the suppression of civil liberties online. If you thought net neutrality was not high on the agenda you haven't read this bill (S-1959)...

Thanks Dorothy and Constance,

It really shows how little we hear about what they do in Washington DC. I hope those in states with political "motivation" will help!

I will pass this along too!

As long as the West, (USA) included, encourages this tension between radical Islam and the West, the move to limit our civil liberties will grow. Watch for the "Fairness doctrine" to be reinstated, and a tax on the internet.

Kenya, once an African State a Westerner could visit, could be use as an example of a civilized “evolution” is falling prey to unprecedented violence. Two years ago I sent Matt Drudge a nasty note warning him that his lack of reporting from Nairobi was a mistake; Radical Islam’s violent intent on, more or less Western Kenya was becoming more apparent. Drudge didn’t respond. Though tribal infighting is being blamed for the violence that has claimed hundreds of lives, my guess is one day soon we’ll find out that an Islamic plan is behind this destabilizing rise in violence. Our church in Togo had much the same situation, tension is all about the borders with Islamic North Africa, and deserves to be noted.
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, Rev. 20.8 the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
3 and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
4 and I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armor, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
Bible geographers note that Ethiopia refers to the land south of Egypt.

Here's a link to the details of the bill.

http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/F?c110:1:./temp/~c110Q1r5BQ:e2612:

Why am I concerned? Something is missing. We assume we know what terrorism means because of the news...physical terrorism. Yet no where is the word physical used in the bill. Reading the research done by Constance, Rich, Bjorn in particular we have learned there is an effort to equate religion with terrorism, and yet most people not reading here make the assumption that only means the religion of Islam.

During that two hour television show the other night, one of the speakers said there was terrorism in Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, and Christianity. Judaism wasn't mentioned in the sentence, but Judaism is connected in the public mind with terrorism because of the pro-Palestinian bias in the media.

A Google search indicates there are many on the left concerned with the implications of the bill. Ron Paul people fear a crackdown because they have termed their movement both the Ron Paul Resistance or Ron Paul Revolution. Pro-life people worry because their efforts have been demonized by those who insist on linking it with the few abortionist killings. Islamists have been creating an aura of victimhood any time they are criticized. This tactic is also being used by others such as the Mexican and homosexual communities.

Our freedom of speech has been whittled away through planned cultural change. Senate Bill 1959 could make such changes permanent because of the vagueness of the wording.

Through doing some research I came across Naomi Wolf. She has some interesting thoughts. She thinks it is George Bush that is the bad guy.

I don't think she realizes that it is much bigger than that.

She talks about how the definition of "the enmy" starts very small and then it has a case where the definition is blurred and then it becomes a larger group of people.

here is a talk she gave that is posted on youtube.

Another reason to support Ron Paul! Check out his platform under Issues at ronpaul2008.com. He loves Israel and is a Constitutional, conservative, pro-life Christian, who alone among the candidates has a 28 year track record to prove that he will do as he says. He believes that our double-minded behavior concerning Israel and our policies in the Middle East have only damaged Israel.

This is like the Hate Crime law being hideden in the last military appropriations bill -- thankfully it was removed.

There is a lot of activity around the web with Web2 and other "advancements" being pushed that could easily transform the web into something far different from what it is now.

Even if you don't live in Senator Obama's state, let him know you are watching how he votes on this bill and will remember when your state has it's primary.

All senators will vote on this at some point. Also contact your senators now and let them clearly know you strongly oppose this bill.

Hi Dorothy,
I've been spending time today doing some reading and trying to educate myself further on the critical information you've shared.
I have a question to ask you, as politics, and the differences and similarities between various bills and legislation up for vote are areas I haven't the expertise as you, Constance and others do. Here is my question: Do you know if this bill, (S-1959)"Homegrown Terrorism and Violent Radicalization act of 2007" is the same as H.R.1955 - "Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007"?

Did one already pass through one governmental body and now this is another almost identical bill getting ready to go before senators? I will appreciate any help you can give me. Thank you.-Rudi

I remember the first time I heard about this bill, it was quoted like this:

"(2) VIOLENT RADICALIZATION- The term `violent radicalization’ means the process of adopting or promoting an extremist belief system... to advance political, religious, or social change."

But what that "..." left out made this bill seem alot less harmful.

“The term ‘violent radicalization’ means the process of adopting or promoting an extremist belief system for the purpose of facilitating ideologically based violence to advance political, religious, or social change."

This bill seems more like a reaction to the Islamic Jihad than anything. I think as long as people are expressedly non-violent in their writing/speaking, this bill should be no problem for them, but there are a lot of ways this bill could be a bused too. What do you guys think? Constance?

David J,
I would like to call your attention to two things.
If there is a law that can be used, it's a matter of who has the biggest warchest, not who wins in court. Check out NOW vs Scheidler or the Scientologists vs CAN. Scheidler won at the Supreme Court level and yet the NOW people are still contesting their loss. The Scientologists bankrupted the Cult Awareness Network and now there is no one who is warning the average person about cult activity.

Second, the threat of legal action is enough to shut people up. Even without a law people are intimidated into keeping quiet.

Your idea of not to worry flies in the face of what is happening in the streets. The huge majority of people are wimps. Bills such as 1959 are meant to intimdate the few activists that are around.

Constance and all:

I have been pondering the 70th week scenario alot in the last few days, especially in regards to so much talk and speculation. I stumbled on the ENP by accident, (or divine intervention)while doing research for my bible study on the book of Daniel. That is how I eventually landed up here.

It was almost two years ago that I felt a strong tugging at my heart to prepare, but I didn't know what for. I started with earthquake/emergency preparedness, and progressed to spiritual preparedness. I felt an overwhelming need to get food stores together, and have been preparing not only for myself, but some to share with others if needed. That's when I finally found a news article about what was happening in Europe.

Without reading any commentaries, I had recognized the potential significance of the ENP and associated documents. That said, there is other evidence to look at when considering accepting the idea of whether we have entered the 70th week of Daniel.

One of the first things I set out to watch for was potential for inflation, especially where food is concerned. The cry from amidst the horsemen in Revelation about the price of Wheat and Barley I took literally. I have noticed that during 2007, the prices of wheat and barley have risen so signicantly, even the UN is concerned about the global food shortage. Wheat prices are even now noticeable at the supermarket, and I think it will get even more severe. Beer drinkers will definately recognize the barley shortage as prices start reflecting barley malt that is also at an all time high.

Not just supply, but demand seems to contribute to these problems. As well as the logistics of transporting food, and the price of oil, also an all time high.

One of the other circumstancial pieces of evidence to look at when considering the 70th week is signs in the sky that have occured to make 2007 significant. First would have to be the eclipse in the middle east on Purim. Also the blood moon eclipse in late summer. Then would have to be the Comet Holmes growing so rapidly to a size larger than the sun, and now with the meteor shower tomorrow in the Draco constellation ( Draco is the serpant or the dragon) I can't help but wonder when Jesus called us to be aware of the signs in the sun, moon and stars, if this is what he was talking about.

The last thing I wanted to mention is the earthquakes. From casual monitoring of the USGS website and an article I found there, we have gone from an average of 1 earthquake a year with a magnitude over 8 to having (last I looked) 5 in the year 2007

As with most circumstancial evidence, it can not be taken on its own, but I think coupled with the ENP, the AoC, verichip/xmark, new age endeavorings to take over the world and the peace process in Israel, Real ID/RFID identification worldwide, and a strengthening EU, we should collectively give the idea some merit and accept that this could be it.

I pray that we are all given discernment this year, and protection from the things to come. Wisdom to pass along and the strengthening of our faith. May we all prepare to the best of our ability and calling.
Good tidings to all this year

Blessings,
Leana

Previously I posted my concerns about the Ron Paul candidacy, and in particular the followers. The emotional involvement of Paul's followers is not the same as that of third party candidates in the past. In the past the emotional involvement was not as fervent as it is now. I do understand why people are attracted to Paul's message, so I'm not debating that.

Alan Stang wrote a column over at Newswithviews about Ron Paul and the possibility that he could be targeted for assassination.
http://newswithviews.com/Stang/alan21.htm

The responses he received suggest a violent response after such an event could happen.
http://newswithviews.com/Stang/alan23.htm

Read these two pieces and come to your own conclusions. Ron Paul's candidacy may be ignored by our media, but something has been stirred up at the grassroots.

It all started when I began
reading the Bible. I think
that may have been the
trigger, and a feeling that
it was indeed true and that
there is a God and that he is
awesome and he is holy.
I think that may have been
the "gateway" to all these
things that I came to believe,
to wit:
I believe in one God
Father almighty, maker of
heaven and earth and in
his only begotten son our
Lord Jesus Christ, who was
conceived by the Holy Ghost,
born of the virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead and buried.
On the third day he arose
from the dead. He ascended
into heaven and sits at the right
hand of God the Father almighty
from whence he shall come to
judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
one holy catholic and apostolic
church, the communion of
saints, the forgiveness of sins,
and life everlasting, amen.

I could go on and on about
all the things that I don't believe,
like the Talmud or the Q'ran or
so many books of Apocrypha,
or like why I write the word
catholic with a small "c",
but I'll just leave it at that.
They tell me that my kind
of religion is equal to the
kind that is currently
beheading people and
murdering people and bombing
people in so many countries
where literacy is very low and
oppression is very high, and
it's illegal to be Christian,
and their governments are
generally speaking, military
gangs of thugs who want low
literacy and high oppression.
All this and the fact that there are
no countries where it's illegal to be
a Muslim, and the fact that they
( you, Mr Solana ) have to reach
back a thousand years for a
bogus example of persecution
by Christians, which was in fact
perpetrated by a Knights Templar
(Freemasons) cult, _ you nevertheless
equate fundamental Christianity
( the religion of love ),
with a bloody murderous cult.

Thank you all for listening to
my confession. I feel like with
your help I may just be able
to get through this wicked world.

Yours truly
Paul

Leana, did you see this on the world food shortage? This goes well with your post.

Paul, It's always a good thing to know what you believe; thanks for reminding me. "For I know whom I have believed in. . ." Prophecy always points to Christ.
"For the substance (essence) of the truth revealed by Jesus is the spirit of all prophecy [the vital breath, the inspiration of all inspired preaching and interpretation of the divine will and purpose. including both mine and yours]."
When I was memorizing Psalms 22, I was taken back by verses as: "they pierced my hands and my feet. . ." but another verse gets less attention: Psa. 22:22 'I will declare thy name unto my brethren. . . fulfilled in John 17:26 "And I have declared unto them thy name . . ."
Blessed be the name of"the Beginning and the End."
Yours in Christ:

Amen Setterman,
Yes Rev. 19;10 says
"The testimony of Jesus is the spirit
of prophesy".
I was thinking about evidence.
It occured to me that I feel
a certain love for everyone
who comes in here. Constances
and the Dorothys and the Dawns
and the Daves in BC and CA,
and the Rudis and the Dougs
and the anonymouses and the
Leannas and the Bjorns and the
Butterfields and all the ones I'm
forgetting. I mean why would I
feel love for people I've never
met and who I really don't know?
I have a family and a church family
here at home. I'm not some
lonesome soul living in cyber
space who never leaves the house.
This love just happens to me,
it's not something I decided to
do. This love constitutes a
certain evidence.
Thank you Father in heaven
for the Spirit of truth.

Hello Everyone,
As I have sat here at my computer and studied and studied more.I realize, it is such a blessing and privilege to be living in a land of freedom, and to be able to research and discuss such things among ourselves.
Being a Christian, being aware of the times we are living in... our antennas are up so to speak. We see that America could be next and our freedoms will take on a new dynamic if our leaders join the "global" cause, if they haven't already. I think George Bushes resistance has bought us some time. But I do think MHO our next President will be the one who will become full member of EU.

So as long as we are here serving the Lord and being keenly aware and awaken out of our sleep, how then ought we to behave and live in light of all this information that is unfolding? We are watching prophecy unfold before us like birth pains, more frequent and intense with a short period of time.

1st) We should *not* be fearful or discouraged by what is coming, because we do have tremendous scriptural insight and we know through scripture how this will all culminate. But we should be encouraged and built up in our faith as we watch Gods word through prophecy being fulfilled, as He said it would happen. We know the end, and I will tell you, I am looking so forward to that time when we see Jesus face to face, in His glorious Kingdom of all Kingdoms. I think many of us are apprehensive to a certain degree because we also know what the unbelievers are heading for and how they are being seduced into this global community ideal.

2nd) We should be prayerful, staying focused on our Heavenly Father, pressing in, drawing near to Him and wait for His will and plan for us in such a time as this (I think of Esther). Drawing strength from His word (I have been finding the Psalms to be of great comfort, courage and faith building) and staying in fellowship with like minded Christians. I would highly encourage to form prayer groups. If ever their was a time of needing Gods strength and power is now. We need to throw off those things that hinder, repent of sins that distract and bog down your walk and instead be slaves to righteousness and full of good works.

3rd) We should be active in ways that honor God and glorify God. We should be a people seeking every opportunity to do good, going out of our way to help others as God strengthens us, building a loving and helpful reputation in the name of Jesus. Many more need to know and this could be our last opportunity.

4th) We should get our lives in order Spiritually Luke 21:8-36 and not be like the 5 foolish virgins in Matthew 25: 1-13. They (the 10) were all invited to the wedding and had their garments ready, and they themselves were ready to go, but they lacked one thing, and it disqualified them from entering in. They did not have oil in their lamps. This tells me of the Holy Spirit and that we need to ask to be filled if we haven't already, and I'm sure many of you agree and have done this.

5th) Trust in the Lord Prov.3:5-6 and Psalm 37:3-5
To keep our lives in check 2 Chronicles7:12-14

12 Then the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: “I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice. 13 When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people,
14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

May this encourage you and strengthen you as we continue to see events of biblical proportions unfold before us and make the most of this opportunity set before us. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. Keep up the good work.

Stephanie
