I have had many email inquiries about Reiki. I have been contacted by Detroit area Catholics dismayed that it was being promoted at local Catholic hospitals. Somebody just furnished me with this official statement from the U.S. Conference of Bishops. It is excellent and although written to Catholics, it is sound theology for all facing this issue. The Book of Daniel said of the last ungodly figure who would come on the scene in world history: HE SHALL HONOR IN HIS ESTATE, THE GOD OF FORCES, A GOD WHOM HIS FATHERS KNEW NOT. As you can se from this context, Reiki is very much part of a worship of a "God of Forces."

Bishops Take Theological Stand Against 'Reiki' at Convents and Retreats, Citing 'Danger of Malevolent Forces'
Committee on Doctrine
United States Conference of Catholic Bishops
1. From time to time questions have been raised about various alternative therapies that are often available in the United States. Bishops are sometimes asked, "What is the Church's position on such therapies?" The USCCB Committee on Doctrine has prepared this resource in order to assist bishops in their responses.

2. The Church recognizes two kinds of healing: healing by divine grace and healing that utilizes the powers of nature. As for the first, we can point to the ministry of Christ, who performed many physical healings and who commissioned his disciples to carry on that work. In fidelity to this commission, from the time of the Apostles the Church has interceded on behalf of the sick through the invocation of the name of the Lord Jesus, asking for healing through the power of the Holy Spirit, whether in the form of the sacramental laying on of hands and anointing with oil or of simple prayers for healing, which often include an appeal to the saints for their aid. As for the second, the Church has never considered a plea for divine healing, which comes as a gift from God, to exclude recourse to natural means of healing through the practice of medicine.1 Alongside her sacrament of healing and various prayers for healing, the Church has a long history of caring for the sick through the use of natural means. The most obvious sign of this is the great number of Catholic hospitals that are found throughout our country.
3. The two kinds of healing are not mutually exclusive. Because it is possible to be healed by divine power does not mean that we should not use natural means at our disposal. It is not our decision whether or not God will heal someone by supernatural means. As the Catechism of the Catholic Church points out, the Holy Spirit sometimes gives to certain human beings "a special charism of healing so as to make manifest the power of the grace of the risen Lord."2 This power of healing is not at human disposal, however, for "even the most intense prayers do not always obtain the healing of all illnesses."3 Recourse to natural means of healing therefore remains entirely appropriate, as these are at human disposal. In fact, Christian charity demands that we not neglect natural means of healing people who are ill.

A) The Origins and Basic Characteristics of Reiki
4. Reiki is a technique of healing that was invented in Japan in the late 1800s by Mikao Usui, who was studying Buddhist texts.4 According to Reiki teaching, illness is caused by some kind of disruption or imbalance in one's "life energy." A Reiki practitioner effects healing by placing his or her hands in certain positions on the patient's body in order to facilitate the flow of Reiki, the "universal life energy," from the Reiki practitioner to the patient. There are numerous designated hand positions for addressing different problems. Reiki proponents assert that the practitioner is not the source of the healing energy, but merely a channel for it.5 To become a Reiki practitioner, one must receive an "initiation" or "attunement" from a Reiki Master. This<>They are mistaken. The radical difference can be immediately seen in the fact that for the Reiki practitioner the healing power is at human disposal. Some teachers want to avoid this implication and argue that it is not the Reiki practitioner personally who effects the healing, but the Reiki energy directed by the divine consciousness. Nevertheless, the fact remains that for Christians the access to divine healing is by prayer to Christ as Lord and Savior, while the essence of Reiki is not a prayer but a technique that is passed down from the "Reiki Master" to the pupil, a technique that once mastered will reliably produce the anticipated results.7 Some practitioners attempt to Christianize Reiki by adding a prayer to Christ, but this does not affect the essential nature of Reiki. For these reasons, Reiki and other similar therapeutic techniques cannot be identified with what Christians call healing by divine grace.
9. The difference between what Christians recognize as healing by divine grace and Reiki therapy is also evident in the basic terms used by Reiki proponents to describe what happens in Reiki therapy, particularly that of "universal life energy." Neither the Scriptures nor the Christian tradition as a whole speak of the natural world as based on "universal life energy" that is subject to manipulation by the natural human power of thought and will. In fact, this world viewhas its origins in eastern religions and has a certain monist and pantheistic character, in that distinctions among self, world, and God tend to fall away.8 We have already seen that Reiki practitioners are unable to differentiate clearly between divine healing power and power that is at human disposal.
10. Reiki therapy finds no support either in the findings of natural science or in Christian belief. For a Catholic to believe in Reiki therapy [OR ANY CHRISTIAN FOR THAT MATTER cec] presents insoluble problems. In terms of caring for one's physical health or the physical health of others, to employ a technique that has no scientific support (or even plausibility) is generally not prudent.
11. In terms of caring for one's spiritual health, there are important dangers. To use Reiki one would have to accept at least in an implicit way central elements of the worldview that undergirds Reiki theory, elements that belong neither to Christian faith nor to natural science.
Without justification either from Christian faith or natural science, however, a Catholic [OR ANY CHRISTIAN, cec] who puts his or her trust in Reiki would be operating in the realm of superstition, the no-man's-land that is neither faith nor science.9 Superstition corrupts one's worship of God by turning one's religious feeling and practice in a false direction.10 While sometimes people fall into superstition through ignorance, it is the responsibility of all who teach in the name of the Church to eliminate such ignorance as much as possible.
12. Since Reiki therapy is not compatible with either Christian teaching or scientific evidence, it would be inappropriate for Catholic institutions, such as Catholic health care facilities and retreat centers, or persons representing the Church, such as Catholic chaplains, to promote or to provide support for Reiki therapy.

Hello Constance,

Here is some more research on Reiki:

My husband and I were second degree Reiki practitioners, and his daughters were first degree practitioners. When I gave up pagan symbols and initiations, I tore up the Reiki symbols in my file cabinet, and never used these things again.

However, I did use Jin Shin Jyutsu, because in its pure form Jin Shin is a type of acupressure and does not use symbols or "distance healing". Some Jin Shin practiioners may embelish the technique and add all sorts of New Age symbolism and mystical practice.
But in its pure form it is usable by a Christian or Jewish person. I still do the self-healing flows on myself.

Reiki claims it uses a "force", as you say, which may be acquired through initiation, and thus it is not suitable for a Christian to use.
The force we should use in healing is prayer to God. If this were accompanied by a truly natural hands on technique such as Jin Shin Jyutsu or even Touch for Health or acupuncture, this would not be mutually exclusive. There is a subtle but real difference here.

I have buried in a box somewhere a book by a Reiki practitioner who claims on the second or third level one can dialogue with spiritual beings.

Tonight (March 26th), I watched ABC's "Nightline." There was a fascinating debate on the question: "Does Satan exist?"

Annie Lobert - a former prostitute, who now belongs to a group called "hookers for Jesus" - says that she knows the devil is real, because she used to see him in the face of her "Johns." She is now a bible believing Christian, who has turned her life around.

(There was also a Christian minister on the panel, but I didn't get his name.)

New Ager, Deepak Chopra, who teaches "How to know God" denies that Satan exists. He further claims that "belief is a cover up for insecurity."

New Age minister, Carlton Pearson, preaches the "Gospel of Inclusion."

For more on this discussion, go to the following website:

Didn't see the show, but no doubt that Satan exists. Good thing we know that he is a detested foe.

Interesting news from the UN

you all can still watch the debate. The pastor was Mark Driscoll from Mars Hill

The debate really shows the mindset and ideology of the New Age and "New Spirituality" and the forces Constance and others shed light on.

Bispon Carlton Peterson is not just a preacher of the "gospel of inclusion" (ie. new spirituality) but he is former Charasmatic peacher with former extensive connections with ORU.

Just for old times sake, here's a link to an active New Age Facebook group out of England. They claim to have over 2,000 members.

Going through over 530 Facebook links to the term New Age, it appears that there is not a single group that has a clue as to the extent of the movement. Most links went to a few people banded together over some fringe New Age connection, everything from music to philosophy to religion to dentistry. I found the above link after 530 nothings. Readers here have no idea how advanced they are in understanding the extent of the movement.

Michelle Obama stated during a speech at UCLA on Febrary 18, 2008:

“Barack Obama will require you to work. He is going to demand that you shed your cynicism. That you put down your divisions. That you come out of your isolation, that you move out of your comfort zones. That you push yourselves to be better. And that you engage. Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, uninvolved, uninformed.”

Just a thought;
If the dead in Christ rise first, and then we who are alive and remain will rise and meet them in the air to be with Jesus, then maybe that's why the Feast of
Trumpets is a two day Holy Day. And maybe the dead rising will be the signal ( at midnight ) to the rest of us to trim our lamps and prepare to meet the Bridegroom.
I agree Doug, this autumn could be a real doozy.
Rosh Hashana will be on September 18/19 this year.

There are also creepy similarities between Reiki and a certain form of occultism called "animal magnetism" which was popularized in the 18th-century by Anton Mesmer.

Mesmer treated patients both individually and in groups. With individuals he would sit in front of his patient with his knees touching the patient's knees, pressing the patient's thumbs in his hands, looking fixedly into the patient's eyes. Mesmer made "passes", moving his hands from patients' shoulders down along their arms. He then pressed his fingers on the patient's hypochondrium region (the area below the diaphragm), sometimes holding his hands there for hours. Many patients felt peculiar sensations or had convulsions that were regarded as crises and supposed to bring about the cure. Mesmer would often conclude his treatments by playing some music on a glass entire article.....

It would appear that "Animal Magnetism is being referred to nowadays as "electrobiology."

I can't recommend highly enough the videos and articles on this site that I just found two days ago.

At first I was put off by this site's amateurish looking appearance, but this guy's analysis, all backed by scripture, is incredible! This is some of the most fascinating analysis of the bible I have ever read. You can also tell the author is very well studied and educated on scripture. I would describe the topics he writes about as being very similar to David Flynn, but with far more biblical references and connections, and much more easier to understand. In fact, he explains things about portions of the bible I have never even heard discussed before and it makes a ton of sense.

Watch his videos on the Hollow Earth. You'll be stunned to learn what he says about the ice caps at the north and south poles, supported by scripture.

Why single out REIKI? The Catholic Church has no problem letting Obama speak at Notre Dame, even though the man openly promotes sinful practices anathema to Catholic doctrine.

Pope John Paul II had no problem legitimizing and encouraging voodooo. Lest I be accused of anti-Catholic bigotry, the Pope's own words in this 1993 letter makes "church" opinion crystal clear:

Dear friends,

I am pleased to have this occasion to meet you, and I very cordially greet you. As you know, I came to Benin principally to visit with the Catholic community, to encourage it and confirm it in the faith. However, I have always thought that contact with persons who belong to other religious traditions is an important part of my ministry.

Indeed, the Catholic Church is favorable to dialogue: dialogue with Christians of other churches and ecclesial communities, dialogue with believers of other spiritual families, and dialogue even with those who do not profess any religion. The Church establishes positive and constructive relations with persons and human groups of other creeds for a reciprocal enrichment.

Vatican Council II …. recognized that there are truth and good, seeds of the Word, in the various religious traditions ….

These provide the foundations for a fruitful dialogue, as the Apostle Paul said to the first Christians: “Everything that is true, noble, just, pure, amiable, honorable, whatever is virtuous and deserves praise, let all these things be the object of your thinking.” From this comes our approach of respect [toward you]: respect for true values wherever they are, and overall respect for the man who looks to live these values that help him set aside fear.

You are strongly attached to the traditions which your ancestors transmitted to you. It is legitimate to recognize the ancestors who transmitted to you the sense of the sacral, faith in a one and good god, your tastes for celebrations, and consideration for moral life and harmony in society.

CONSTANCE: what do you think of HR1388 legislation that the president wants to pass?

Senate Passes National Service Bill

Fox News
The Examiner
March 26, 2009

Editor’s note: In a statement after passage in the Senate, Obama said “our work is not finished when I sign this bill into law — it has just begun.” It will now only be a matter of time before Obama’s “civilian national security force” powerful as the U.S. military takes to the streets.

See Obama Calls For National Civilian Stasi and Obama’s “Civilian National Security Force.”

The Senate on Thursday approved a major national service bill that triples the AmeriCorps program, despite concerns from some conservatives that it could allow politically charged groups to benefit from extra funding.

The Senate voted 78-20 to increase AmeriCorps to 250,000 from its current 75,000 positions. The legislation is expected to cost $6 billion over five years.

The House could take up the bill as early as Monday, sending it then to President Obama for his signature.

The package, called the Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act, or GIVE Act, encourages a broad range of Americans to give back to their communities. It would create five groups to help poor people, improve education, encourage energy efficiency, strengthen access to health care and assist veterans.

Michelle Obama: Barack “will require you to work.”

Expanded Americorps has an authoritarian feel

The Examiner
March 26, 2009

With almost no public attention, both chambers of Congress in the past week advanced an alarming expansion of the Americorps national service plan, with the number of federally funded community service job increasing from 75,000 to 250,000 at a cost of $5.7 billion. Lurking behind the feel-good rhetoric spouted by the measure’s advocates is a b ill that on closer inspection reveals multiple provisions that together create a strong odor of creepy authoritarianism. The House passed the measure overwhelmingly, while only 14 senators had the sense and c ourage to vote against it on a key procedural motion. Every legislator who either voted for this bill or didn’t vote at all has some serious ex plaining to do.

Last summer, then-candidate Barack Obama threw civil liberties to the wind when he proposed “a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded” as the regular military. The expanded Americorps is not quite so disturbing, but a number of provisions in the bill raise serious concerns.

To begin with, the legislation threatens the voluntary nature of Americorps by calling for consideration of “a workable, fair, and reasonable mandatory service requirement for all able young people.” It anticipates the possibility of requiring “all individuals in the United States” to perform such service - including elementary school students. The bill also summons up unsettling memories of World War II-era paramilitary groups by saying the new program should “combine the best practices of civilian service with the best aspects of military service,” while establishing “campuses” that serve as “operational headquarters,” complete with “superintendents” and “uniforms” for all participants. It allows for the elimination of all age restrictions in order to involve Americans at all stages of life. And it call s for creation of “a permanent cadre” in a “National Community Civilian Corps.”

But that’s not all. The bill also calls for “youth engagement zones” in which “service learning” is “a mandatory part of the curriculum in all of the secondary schools served by the local educational agency.” This updated form of voluntary community service is also to be “integrated into the science, technology, engineering and mathematics curricula” at all levels of schooling. Sounds like a government curriculum for government approved “service learning,” which is nothing less than indoctrination. Now, ask yourself if congressmen who voted for this monstrosity had a clue what they were voting for. If not, they’re guilty of dereliction of duty. If yes, the implications are truly frightening.

Between being first officially “reported” to the House and being voted on by the full House, bill managers stripped one whole section of the measure that created a Congressional Commission on Civil Service, thus removing the section that contained the language cited above concerning “a workable, fair, and reasonable mandatory service requirement for all able young people” and a possible requirement for “all individuals in the United States” to perform such service. The section could be restored during the Senate-House conference committee meeting. A new, separate bill containing that language has since been introduced in the House.

ON MAY 28, 1998

A) Canon 750 of the Code of Canon Law will now consist of two paragraphs; the first will present the text of the existing canon; the second will contain a new text. Thus, canon 750, in its complete form, will read:
Canon 750

1. Those things are to be believed by divine and catholic faith which are contained in the word of God as it has been written or handed down by tradition, that is, in the single deposit of faith entrusted to the Church, and which are at the same time proposed as divinely revealed either by the solemn Magisterium of the Church, or by its ordinary and universal Magisterium, which in fact is manifested by the common adherence of Christ's faithful under the guidance of the sacred Magisterium.

All are therefore bound to avoid any contrary doctrines.

2. Furthermore, each and everything set forth definitively by the Magisterium of the Church regarding teaching on faith and morals must be firmly accepted and held;

namely those things required for the holy keeping and faithful exposition of the deposit of faith;

therefore, anyone who rejects propositions which are to be held definitively sets himself against the teaching of the Catholic Church.

Canon 1371, n. 1 of the Code of Canon Law, consequently, will receive an appropriate reference to canon 750, 2, so that it will now read:

Canon 1371

The following are to be punished with a just penalty:

1ƒ a person who, apart from the case mentioned in canon 1364, 1, teaches a doctrine condemned by the Roman Pontiff, or by an Ecumenical Council, or obstinately rejects the teachings mentioned in canon 750 ß2 or in canon 752 and, when warned by the Apostolic See or by the Ordinary, does not retract;

2ƒ a person who in any other way does not obey the lawful command or prohibition of the Apostolic See or the Ordinary or Superior and, after being warned, persists in disobedience.

B) Canon 598 of the Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches will now have two paragraphs: the first will present the text of the existing canon and the second will contain a new text. Thus canon 598, in its complete form, will read as follows:

Canon 598
All Christian faithful are therefore bound to avoid any contrary doctrines.
2. Furthermore, each and everything set forth definitively by the Magisterium of the Church regarding teaching on faith and morals must be firmly accepted and held; namely, those things required for the holy keeping and faithful exposition of the deposit of faith; therefore, anyone who rejects propositions which are to be held definitively sets himself against the teaching of the Catholic Church.
Canon 1436, 2 of the Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches, consequently, will receive an appropriate reference to canon 598, 2, so that it will now read:

Canon 1436
1. Whoever denies a truth which must be believed with divine and catholic faith, or who calls into doubt, or who totally repudiates the Christian faith, and does not retract after having been legitimately warned, is to be punished as a heretic or an apostate with a major excommunication; a cleric moreover can be punished with other penalties, not excluding deposition.

2. In addition to these cases, whoever obstinately rejects a teaching that the Roman Pontiff or the College of Bishops, exercising the authentic Magisterium, have set forth to be held definitively, or who affirms what they have condemned as erroneous, and does not retract after having been legitimately warned, is to be punished with an appropriate penalty.

5. We order that everything decreed by us in this Apostolic Letter, given motu proprio, be established and ratified, and we prescribe that the insertions listed above be introduced into the universal legislation of the Catholic Church, that is, into the Code of Canon Law and into the Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches, all things to the contrary notwithstanding.
Given in Rome, at St Peter's, on 28 May, in the year 1998, the twentieth of our Pontificate.

Obamam's push for mandatory servitude reminds me of what my grandfather's generation saw in Germany under Adolf Hitler. Not that this should come as any surprise. Many of us knew what he was about before he entered into office. I think 2010 will probably see the birth of the North American Union. This will most likely be ensued by a handing over of said union to the son of perdition himself. Jesus our Master said we should watch and pray. We, the children of the light, ought not to be taken by surprise at these happenings. Our response should be praise and thanksgiving. We have a long road ahead no doubt, but, we will shortly see our Lord and Great God face to face, and that is cause for celebration indeed!

Constance, I don't remember if I posted this on the last thread or not, it relates to Obama's "volunteer" Peace Corp. It has been said by Obama and Rahm Emmanuel that it would be mandatory, what the final bill will be, I don't know, however, compulsory is their goal.

Everything Obama is pushing (at breakneck speed) looks just like Communism This is what one journalist observed re: his "Youth Brigaide"
Is this the change you really voted for? President Obama has only been in office for two months. Now we have HR 1388. The Bill was sponsored by Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY) with 37 others. The Bill was introduced to the floor of the House of Representatives where both Republicans and Democrats voted 321-105 in favor. Next it goes to the Senate for a vote and then on to President Obama.
This bill’s title is called “Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education” (GIVE). It forms what some are calling “Obama’s Youth Brigade.” Obama’s plan is require anyone receiving school loans and others to serve at least three months as part of the brigade. His goal is one million youth! This has serious Nazi Germany overtones to it.
The Bill would forbid any student in the brigade to participate in “engaging in religious instruction, conducting worship services, providing instruction as part of a program that includes mandatory religious instruction or worship, constructing or operating facilities devoted to religious instruction or worship, maintaining facilities primarily or inherently devoted to religious instruction or worship, or engaging in any form of religious proselytization.” That means no church attendance or witnessing.
Again, is this what America voted for? Here is part of the HR1388 Bill’s wording:
Section 125 (42 U.S.C. 12575) is amended to read as follows:
(a) Prohibited Activities- A participant in an approved national service position under this subtitle may not engage in the following activities:
(1) Attempting to influence legislation.
(2) Organizing or engaging in protests, petitions, boycotts, or strikes.

(7) Engaging in religious instruction, conducting worship services, providing instruction as part of a program that includes mandatory religious instruction or worship, constructing or operating facilities devoted to religious instruction or worship, maintaining facilities primarily or inherently devoted to religious instruction or worship, or engaging in any form of religious proselytization.

HR1388 Is only the beginning. Obama will more than likely sign on to the AOC wich includes very specific language about religous extemism and the fight against it. This would mean that if you believe that Jesus is the only way, you would be considered extreme under the rules of the AOC. Brothers and sisters, do not fret, these things must come. Let us look up for our redemption is drawing nigh. Remember that Jesus is the author and the finisher of our faith, and that anything that comes our way is filtered first through the hands of our loving Heavenly Father. Let us keep the faith.

Constance and all,
I think its time to take another look at 'A Plan for Action: A New Era of International Cooperation for a Changed World ' …'Managing Global Insecurity'. Constance has previously alerted us to this in her Wednesday, November 19, 2008 blog article. I was drawn back to it after looking at the United States Institute for Peace. Two "ex officio members" of the United States Institute for Peace; Hillary Clinton and Robert M. Gates, are now the U.S. Secretary of State and U.S. Secretary of Defense. USIP long time president, Richard H. Solomon, has a reach extending far beyond only U.S peace interests. USPI Board of Directors member Chester A. Crocker was also a member of the U.S. Advisory Group who helped to formulate the 'Plan for Action : A New Era of International Cooperation for a Changed World '.

You can't miss the goal behind the strategy. It is spelled out clearly in the VISION of 'The Plan for Action':

"An international order founded on
responsible sovereignty that delivers global peace and prosperity for the next 50 years."

The'Executive Summary' is focused around the significant role of responsibility the United States must play, above all other "states" to provide, by way of example, its willingness to cooperate in 'The Action Plan'.

"Although all states
have a stake in solutions, responsibility
for a peaceful and prosperous world
will fall disproportionately to the
traditional and rising powers. The
United States most of all must provide leadership for a global era." (Page 6/4)

The 'Plan of Action' then goes on to "instruct" the next American President as to what he/she is expected to do, proving itself to be a team player and supporter of this international agenda.
The "to do" list includes overcoming the following "problems" which have damaged US credibility around the world:

** "Deliver consistent and strong messages on international cooperation domestically and internationally— including in speeches in the lead-up
to the Group of 8 (G8) and the UN
General Assembly meetings in 2009,
laying out a vision for a 21st century security system;"

**Close the Guantanamo Detention

**"Over time, the United States will also need to dramatically upgrade its civilian foreign policy corps,..."

**"End the monopoly of the U.S.
and Europe on leadership at the
International Monetary Fund (IMF)
and World Bank, and refocus the
IMF’s mandate to exercise surveillance over exchange rate polices and to facilitate the smooth unraveling of global imbalances;..."

This is just a little sample from the first two of four "Tracks for Action" "global leaders must act across" "To build a cooperative international order".

I was stunned as I compared this
'Plan for Action' with what we have already witnessed in less than 100 days into the Barack Obama Presidency. He and his Administration are evidently more than ready to cooperate. -Rudi

I read the above link that peacebringer7 posted. I still do not fear, but there is something I would like to say. I have a great deal of respect for those that suffer for the name of Jesus. I do not, however, hold much regard for those who try to separate Jesus from His Word. I would disagree with this gentleman about using certain scriptures strengthen us. David said, "Your word hane I hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against you.", so I think we cansafely say that his word does bring us strength. The entrance of His word brings light. Yavah Himself said My word have I exalted above all my name. Please understand, I am not saying that words on a page are alive in and of themselves, but, when we allow the Holy Spirit to speak to us through His word, we find strength and power to face and overcome anything. We can even find the strength to lay down our lives in death, if it is so required. Take heart sons and daughters of the living God, no temptation, test, or trial, will overtake us, but that He will not provide a way of escape, or give us the strength to bear it.

How and why New Agers are placing all their hopes and dreams in Barack Obama . . .

By Dennis L. Cuddy, Ph.D.
March 23, 2009

[NOTE: In “One On One: Regulating the Pursuit of Self” (Jerusalem Post, February 4, 2009), Amitai Etzioni states: “There is no philosophy that better describes Obama’s position than Communitarianism,” which Etzioni defines as a term “that would speak for community and the common good.” (In his March 4, 1801 inaugural address, while referring to majority rule and minority rights, Thomas Jefferson was the first president to refer to the “common good.”) Interestingly, Etzioni in his The Essential Communitarian Reader (p. ix) said the term was coined in 1841 by John Goodwyn Barmby, who founded the Universal Communitarian Association (originally called the Communist Propaganda Society). In Dana Milbank’s “Needed: Catchword for Bush Ideology; ‘Communitarianism’ Finds Favor” (The Washington Post, February 1, 2001), Etzioni was quoted as saying George W. Bush’s Inaugural Address was “a Communitarian Text.”

As I’ve mentioned numerous times before, the Power Elite (PE) uses crises to move us toward its ultimate goal of a World Socialist Government. The current global economic crisis is devaluing currencies so that the people of the world will be forced to accept regional currencies and then a global currency, which is an important part of the PE’s plan. Relevant to this, Ira Iosebashvili in The Moscow Times (March 17, 2009) wrote “At G20 Kremlin Pitch New Currency,” which begins with “the Kremlin calling for the creation of a supranational reserve currency to be issued by international institutions as part of a reform of the global financial system. Both President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin have repeatedly called for the ruble to be used as a regional reserve currency…. Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev proposed a global currency…. He also suggested that the Eurasian Economic Community… adopt a single noncash currency – the yevraz – to insulate itself from the global economic crisis…. Nazarbayev’s proposal did garner support from at least one source – Columbia University’s Prof. Robert Mundell, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1999 for his role in creating the euro.”]

In Part 4 of my column on “The Rockefeller Plan,” I referred to 2012 as the year New Agers believe the Piscean (Christian) Age will end and the Age of Aquarius will begin. Relevant to this, the cover of the January/February 2009 edition of the New Age innerchange has 2012 with a question mark, and the editor states: “There are many great visionary writers, scientists and social theorists who believe that 2012 is the threshold for a time of accelerated planetary change. Some spiritual leaders believe it is the impetus for a great spiritual evolvement.” Inside this edition is also a description of “the Lucifer Archetype.”

I further mentioned in Part 4 of “The Rockefeller Plan” that Lucifer Publishing was the original name of Lucis Trust. For a number of years, Gordon Davidson worked for Lucis Trust. He and Corinne McLaughlin formed Visionary Leadership and authored Spiritual Politics, in which we are told there are “Enlightened Ones” or “Masters of Wisdom” who “form an ‘invisible government’… that guides humanity’s evolution.”

If one looks at, one will see McLaughlin’s 2006 article titled “What if Christ or Buddha Returned as a Businessman or even a Politician?” In the article, she related the New Age concept that “Christ, Buddha and other great Masters… show us how to transform society….” Writing about “the inner divinity within ourselves,” she explained “it is the fiery light that creates the magnetic love energy vortex.”

McLaughlin then asked, “How far fetched can it be for Christ to return as a politician?” She answered her own question by saying, “If Christ returned as a politician, he would embody, yet transcend, Christian doctrine and appeal to all faiths.” (Remember here that Barack Obama carries a miniature of the Hindu monkey-god idol “Lord Hanuman” in his pocket.)

McLaughlin next asked, “What kind of changes would the Christ make if he were elected President of the United States?” (Remember here that when New Agers refer to the “the Christ” they aren’t referring exclusively to Jesus.) As if forecasting our own political situation today, she explained: “A great Master who returned would probably be low key at first, acting as a unifier, rather than a divider of people…. [People] would recognize him also by his compassion, humility, and universality—embracing all kinds of people from all religions…. He would listen to views on all sides of an issue and find higher common ground.” Sound familiar?

Using New Age language, McLaughlin asked, “Wouldn’t we be affected by the power of his energy field?” And she concluded by indicating “a great Master… would come to establish the principles and techniques for creating right relationships.”

Remember all of the above was written by McLaughlin in 2006. Then compare it to McLaughlin’s and Gordon Davidson’s 2008 article, “The Spiritual Dimensions of Obama’s Leadership.” This work begins with the New Age authors contending that “in this moment of historical crisis, another great leader, uniquely qualified to meet the needs of our nation and the world, has come forth, overlighted by Spirit…. He is a catalyst dropped into a supersaturated solution… that has for years been calling out for a leader to unite our nation and establish right relations with the world.” They next describe his destiny as “actualized by the radiation of his own soul and by the collective consciousness of the people who call him forth and prepare his way.” And they conclude by calling him “a transcendental leader” and explaining that “the economic cleansing currently underway paves the way for an eventual reordering with greater integrity and fairness in our financial systems.”

In “Hillary Clinton failed to master female approach, former mentor Jean Houston says” (Los Angeles Times, May 12, 2008), reporter Robin Abcarian noted that leading New Ager Jean Houston said Sen. Obama has “a shamanic personality, of course.” And in “New Age America Is Entranced By Obama’s Electoral Aura” (The Guardian, July 3, 2008), reporter Oliver Burkeman noted the endorsement of Obama by “Oprah Winfrey, increasingly involved in New Age spirituality.” Burkeman further explained that “American New Age guru Deepak Chopra” declared that if Barack Obama entered the White House as president, “It will represent a quantum leap in American consciousness.” Burkeman continued: “A curious side-story in this year’s election campaign is that the new age movement in the U.S. has embraced Obama even more fervently than most of his supporters…. ‘Many spiritually advanced people I know…identify Obama as a lightworker, that rare kind of attuned being who [can] actually usher in a new way of being on the planet,” wrote the San Francisco Chronicle columnist Mark Morford in a piece headlined ‘Is Obama an Enlightened Being?’… The Obama-as-lightworker notion is more than a matter of tone. We’re talking about the dawning of the age of aquarius.”

Another leading New Ager, Barbara Marx Hubbard, recently in her blog stated that “our recent presidential election clearly reflects the evolutionary shift that we have been talking about and sensing. Many of us appreciate that President-elect Obama is already a universal person…. This could not have happened if there was not a rise in consciousness in the United States and throughout the world.”

And more recently, New Ager Tom Carney of Arcana Workshop in his column “We are the Great Unfolding” (Thoughtline, February 2009), quoted from Luciferian Alice Bailey’s “Ascended Masters” and refered to the New Group of World Servers (NGWS, founded by Bailey in 1925) and “The Plan.” Carney next announced, “We were able to invoke, from the community we call the NGWS, a qualified leader…. This man’s name is Barack Obama.” Carney then refered to “the spiral of the Will which carried Barack Obama into the most powerful position on the planet” and the “paramount importance of the Common Good.” He concluded by stating “that we charted a new Soul determined course in Sagittarius is evident in the behavior and the model of right human relations… as humanity moves forward into the new civilization and world culture of the new age we will come to know as the Age of Light.” Remember here that to Theosophists like Bailey, Lucifer is the “Light Bringer” and Sagittarius rules Washington, D.C.

Finally, New Ager Benjamin Crème, who claims to be a spokesman Maitreya (“the Christ”), in a November 30, 2008 interview said Obama would be more responsive than John McCain to Maitreya’s ideas. And in response to a question as to whether Obama could be the last President (to be replaced by a group of wise elder statesmen) Crème replied: “That is still the Plan, so there is every chance that Mr. Obama will be the last President.”

Flying a bit under the radar???

On Friday, March 27th, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton accepted Planned Parenthood's "highest honor" - the Margaret Sanger Award at a gala in Houston, Texas. (Margaret Sanger was, of course, a noted racist and eugenics advocate.)

Texas Right to Life held a peaceful vigil outside of the George R. Brown Convention Center, where the gala was held.

Dirty hands shaking other dirty hands...Obama, Gore, Strong, Ayers, Chicago politics and global warming

"...While on the board of a Chicago-based charity, Barack Obama helped fund a carbon trading exchange that will likely play a critical role in the cap-and-trade carbon reduction program he is now trying to push through Congress as president.”

"The charity was the Joyce Foundation on whose board of directors Obama served and which gave nearly $1.1 million in two separate grants that were “instrumental in developing and launching the privately-owned Chicago Climate Exchange, which now calls itself “North America’s only cap and trade system for all six greenhouse gases, with global affiliates and projects worldwide.”

"And that’s only the beginning of this tawdry tale, Mr. Barnes.

"The “privately-owned” Chicago Climate Exchange is heavily influenced by Obama cohorts Al Gore and Maurice Strong.

"For years now Strong and Gore have been cashing in on that lucrative cottage industry known as man-made global warming. ..."

Can a messiah have hands as dirty as Obama has? Not hardly.

By the way anonymous, thanks for the Cuddy article showing Obama's ties in another way to the New Age movement.

"President Obama is expected to travel early next month to Istanbul, where he will attend a meeting of a United Nations-spawned outfit called the Alliance of Civilizations. Under that grand title, hundreds of worthies will gather to pursue various aspects of "engagement."

"This is the U.N.-fostered outfit providing the framework Obama, the American commander-in-chief, will dignify with his present at its April 6 and 7 meeting in Istanbul."

"...Perhaps most disturbing is Obama's acceptance of an invitation to address the Alliance of Civilizations in Turkey. The Alliance is an arm of the United Nations and has a long record of trying to legitimize the radical regime in Iran. The Alliance was founded by a leftist Spanish government in conjunction with the overtly Muslim government of Turkey...."

A new book by Dr. Lothar Gassman shows how the International Elite
is attempting to squelch traditional Christianity everywhere.
What struck me is that the author is a German intellectual and he is
defending fundamentalist (Biblically based) Christianity in a country
where biblical Christians are thoroughly marginalized and persecuted,
particularly by the intellectual elite. The anti-biblical movement
there is behind the persecution of homeschoolers, something Laigle's
has also focused on.
I had pointed out in a satirically named article at Laigle's Forum
("I am a radical fundamentalist") that the attack on fundamentalism is
in fact an attack on freedom of speech and the First Amendment. Here
is a German author who agrees with me 100%. Dr. Gassman shows how
Christians are threatened, sometimes beaten and even arrested for
expressing biblical views. An EU document shows that plans are
underway to steal the property and money of anyone who disagrees with
the prevailing PC views on homosexuality and Islam (more than
interesting since these 2 are at loggerheads. Islam is winning out and
will almost certainly oppress homosexuals in ways Christians never
dreamed of!).
Sadly, the UN is behind this assault on our freedom, and we now have
a White House that sides with the UN in almost everything.
My ancestors, the Anabaptists, were banished from Europe under
threats of death or imprisonment. They came to these beloved shores
under the auspices of William Penn. Yet now it looks as if my brothers
and I face the same kind of persecution that drove us here 300 years
How long, O Lord?
"Europe - A Dictatorship?"

It is fairly long and I recommend you download it and read or scan
when you have time.
I wish to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Gassman for giving me
permission to publish this.

Alliance of Civilizations Implementation Plan 2007-2009

"...The AoC Secretariat will collect information on initiatives underway and best
practices related to the subjects prioritized in consultation with GoF members, civil
society groups and implementing partners, such as the following seven subjects:
i. Cross-cultural and inter-faith dialogue and cooperation;
ii. Regional fora for interfaith and intercultural dialogue and cooperation;
Media literacy programmes;
Training programs for journalists in cross-cultural news coverage;
Government programmes, civil society organizations and academic
initiatives that educate and empower Muslim immigrants in the U.S. and
Curricula for teaching about religions in schools through consensus
processes, and curricula for religious schools; and
Human rights education programmes that communicate the universality of
human rights within diverse cultures and religious traditions. ..."

Going past diplomatic language and all manner vague wording, I look for specifics that can be put in place. I worry about a crackdown on freedom of speech and in particular how teaching about religion in schools, including religious schools. will be affected. If a school takes government money, pressure can be put on the schools as to what they can teach about their own religion as well as other religions. Efforts along these lines have already been put in place in a few places.

It's not just Obama being there, it's all of the support staff working with EU people who will determine what will be the outcome of discussions there.

It looks as if things are falling into place faster than many have anticipated. I wonder if we will see a North American Union monitary system, or will we just go staight to a global currency? What will happen with the Lisbon Treaty, now that the Czech government has fallen? Perhaps this is just the opportunity that Solana was looking for? Will he dare move in without the treaty ratified and take full control? It seems as though the treaty is dead without a one county there to give it a yes. Maybe they wdill find a way to go around the framewdork to ratify at anyway. One thing is for sure, if Solana is who many think he is then he is going to have to move pretty quickly. I wonder if the Israelis will reimplement the daily sacrifice in defiance of the EU? This could be a very good motivator for him to move in and stop things. Every day brings us closer, every day makes things a little clearer. every day the crescendo builds up greater and gteater till the appearing of our Glorious Lord and His Trumpet sounds, and the final note is played in this His great symphony of History. I cannot wait to see his face!

For what it is worth and maybe not much, here is what Benjamin Creme / Share International / Maitreya [betraya] website has to say about Barack Obama:

"Q. Was Maitreya present at all the marches for peace in Gaza aroundthe world in January 2009?
A. No, He was present at three marches.
Q. A lot of people are saying that the new President Barack Obama, isMaitreya. Some question and answer sessions with Benjamin Cremeinfer Maitreya and Obama are two different people but that Obamamay be especially open to Maitreya's ideals. Yet the most recent pressreleases advertising the emergence of Maitreya, his public talks aboutthe economy and world ills sure tie in neatly with the emergence ofthe new President who is also talking about these same things. It isvery easy to see why Obama is being seen as Maitreya by somepeople.
Could you comment please: (1) is Obama actually Maitreya ? Or (2)just inspired by Maitreya ?
A. (1) No, Mr Obama is absolutely not Maitreya.
(2) I doubt that Mr Obama has ever heard of Maitreya. He may well beinspired by the ideas which have emanated from Maitreya over theyears. These have been articulated by Share International for manyyears and are now being repeated by more and more people as theeconomic crash, predicted by Maitreya long ago, becomes a reality.Maitreya has waited until now to come forward openly because onlynow has the impending crash come to fruition, thus bringing manypeople – one of them, hopefully, Mr Obama – to see the reality of theneed to change direction.
Q. I am very grateful for the knowledge and wisdom ShareInternational puts at the disposal of the public. I appreciate it verymuch.
I have a question about the new President of the United States ofAmerica. He shares almost all the principles Maitreya is teaching. Heseems to be not an ordinary person.
(1) Is he one of the members of the Spiritual Hierarchy which willaccompany Maitreya in his Mission? Or (2) Is he a channel Maitreyauses to fulfil His mission? He is leading the world in a new direction:sharing, co-operation, peace. Please tell me something about him.
A. (1) At the moment there are 14 Masters in the world with Maitreya;eventually there will be around 40 Masters in the world. Mr Obama is not one of them. Nor is any man you are likely to know or have heard of.
(2) Nor is he a 'channel' used by Maitreya for His mission. Mr Obama is unusual at this time in American politics: the first African American for a start; he seems to have ideals closer to the real needs of the people of America and the world in general; he seems to be ready to listen to the ideas of other nations and to be less involved in creating
Share International magazine March 2009 issue[3/29/09 5:22:36 PM]

For the record, given the core New Age writings on "Aryan superiority" (Alice Bailey, et al) and that non-Caucasian races are welome to join the New Agers ('space brother' writings of which Benjamin Creme has expressed solidarity) BUT THEIR RACES SHOULD BE PRACTICING CELIBACY AS THEY ARE 'DESTINED TO DIE OUT' -- I still suspect that Barack Obama is 'the wrong paint job' to put it in Detroit street vernacular to be the New Age 'anointed one.'

This just in:

I just heard on ABC evening news that Spain had indicted 6 American officials, including former American Attorney General Gonzales for war crimes. I am most confident this would not have happened without at least Javier Solana approval. While I am no fan whatsoever of Gonzalez approval of disregard of the Geneva Convention, one does not have to be a particularly brilliant political analyst to see where this is going -- one more step and a big one on that on breach of sovereignty and global governance. The ramifications of this are vast and are likely to cause much pressure upon the Barack Obama administration to hand over somebody to foreign courts for adjudication.

Who cares if Obama is Maitreya! Let some other person be Maitreya.

Right now there is a lot more going on where Obama is concerned. Read the Cuddy article on Obama and the New Age again and look at the last paragraph where Creme says Obama may be the last president.

Then go over to
and read three of the top essays:
1. Pledging allegiance to Obama
2. DEMAGOGERY: "One man’s scoundrel is another’s savior" (Parallels between Hitler and Obama possibly taking power.)
3. Obama calling the patriotic guy on the carpet at the White House.

Look at these in connection with the 2012 hype.

By the way Donald Hank didn't post his information here. It was carried over by an anonymous.

Has anyone seen the movie "Knowing"?

I was told by a fellow anti-new age researcher to see it because it had very strong occult concepts. It sure does! It is way more occult then the description tells you. I will explain more if anyone is interested.

Hollywood always makes new age movies, but this one stood out as more of indoctrination to aspects of the occult and twisting religion to fit. The ending is where all the pieces come together.

All the way through it had things like, auto writing, inner voices, but the conclusion pulls the bigger picture together and was quite telling.

What the movie leads you to in its conclusion fits this thread well.

Let me know if you want to know more....

Knowing movie Spoiler********

The story takes place in 2009 and is about an atheist and his son. The father acquires a piece of paper with numbers. This was done by a child 50 years before and put along with other children’s pictures of they thought the future would hold and put in a time capsule at his son’s school. The child Lucinda wrote the numbers down by auto-writing and hearing inner voices that would not leave her alone. You find out she commits suicide because of the voices. After 50 years in future the time capsule is opened. The father plays with the numbers and finds that they are all dates, numbers of deaths and latitudes and longitudes of ever major disasters that have happened in the 50 years and that there are only 3 left. He tries to stop them from occurring but can not. The last on is the end of he world on October 17 , 2009 (I think it was the 17). The occult runs through the whole movie. They are followed by Aryan looking spooky whisper people that leave basalt rocks when they have been near. And even hand one to his son. The rocks seem to amplify their abilities to whisper to his son and another child. The same is seen with the original child and their collection of these rocks. (basalt rocks represent the underworld)

The whisper people seem very scary and dark until the end. Where they are made into the good guys.

The whole story boils down to this. The whisper people are alien/space brothers/spirit guides that have come to take only the children off the planet just before it is destroyed by fire from a sun flare. The only children allowed to go with these space brothers are the ones are the psychic children that have heard the “call” and are willing to go with the space brothers by their free agency. No one else is welcome. They drop the children off on a new earth and show a Garden of Eden with a tree similar to what we would think of the tree in Eden.

Through out the movie you are show Picture of Ezekiel and the original child Lucinda could not stop staring at the picture. They twist scriptures and stories to fit this idea. In the end the father has to let his son go with the aliens, but feels he is safe. Then he returns to his own father that is a Pastor of a church and acts like he has now found God…..and now understand what his father has been trying to teach him.

One of the children’s mothers is killed and the child is totally fine about it because the space brothers say she is in a good place. So there is no tears, just acceptance. There is such a cold feeling about life and death. They try to say families are forever with a locket that is inscribe with that phrase, but it comes across very odd. It reminds me of reincarnation and how groups keep coming back into incarnations with loved ones. For there is zero mention of God or where all of the earths inhabitants go after this. I can not tell if they merge into the universe or get reincarnated. But as for a God and heaven…that is not addressed.

The part at the end that was very telling was when the “space brothers” shed off their fake skin and they are translucent beings of light with wings. That gather the children into a space craft. I can not even tell you how profound it was to see this visual of them. They were not aliens as we have been shown before in movies, they looked like glowing spirits with out bodies and even had wings!

I feel this is a great indoctrination. The poor children were forced to do auto writing and were fully taken over by these entities to the point if they did not have a paper or pen to write they dug their nails into wood until they wrote all the number down and their fingers were bloody.

The timing I feel is interesting considering how far we have gotten into the Occult taking over. If we are to be introduced soon to “space Brothers” this film is doing a good job of preparing the masses. If Maitriya come by space craft or other “space brothers” do. We are well prepared.

At the end of the movie you are left with this understanding that these entities are good and are here to help. Yet the feel evil through the whole movie. So it teaches you that what can feel evil is truly good when you understand they are here to help. They did not even try to make them feel loving, they gave a cold and evil feeling all the way even in the end. You just think they are good because they save the children. But these entities act with no love just coldness and persistent force even kidnapping the children. Yet have to yield to the free agency of the children to agree to go with them.

This movie is sold as last days and prophecy… the public.

From The American Free Press (March 28, 2009):

Bilderbergers to Meet in Greece

Bilderberg will return to its 1993 crime scene when it attempts to meet secretly in Vouliagmeni, Greece, May 14-17. Bilderberg will return to the grounds of Nafsika Astir Palace hotels in Vouliagmeni, 20 miles outside Athens, and meet behind guards at the Westin Nafsika.

High on the Bilderberg agenda will be how to manipulate the global economic crisis for their selfish interests. They will pressure both European and North American nations to pull back from “protectionism” in the later meetings of heads of state. Since the international financiers and high officials of government see themselves as “citizens of the world” and scorn “nationalism,” their only loyalty is bankrolls, not their country. They love free trade, essential for world government.

Thus, they are determined that the United States and other nations refuse to impose tariffs that would equalize competition at the water’s edge. They want to continue shipping U.S. manufacturing jobs overseas where cheap labor may be exploited. They want to continue importing products made by slave labor in China and Africa, underselling domestic products.

Bilderberg, a secret elitist group that meets each spring at posh resorts protected by armed guards, uniformed police, sometimes the host nation’s military plus a brigade of private, plain-clothes guards, tries hard to keep its deliberations secret. But, with help from the European media and with inside sources, their mischief is always revealed to this newspaper.

I was nosing around on the Club of Rome's European Support Centre in Vienna website over the weekend.
The "News" section has many relevant items worth taking a look at. Here is one I found particularly interesting.

** 'Urgent: Refounding of the United Nations'
by Frederico Mayor.

Mayor's "URGENT" message calls for "an Extraordinary Meeting of the United Nations General Assembly to establish the principal criteria for achieving this in-depth renewal, endowing it with the necessary moral and political authority required to face the great challenges of our time."

The paper is a short read, only 6 pages in length. He ends on an intriguing note:

"Instead of “preparing for war”, “We, the Peoples...” are going to build peace each day through our actions, fully participating in civil society, which urgently demands guarantees that democratic and efficient criteria will be implemented on a global scale.

In appointing Susan Rice as Ambassador to the United Nations,
directly and under his authority, President Obama has clearly
signalled his determination to foster multilateralism as a relevant part of, in his own words, the “new beginning” for the American people and the entire world. Together We Can!"

The resume of Federico Mayor Zaragoza includes:

Heinrich Eilyahu Benedikt is also connected with Fredrico Mayor in this presentation in Lecce Italy:

He is also going to speak at the World Parliament of Religions:

A little more about this event:

December 3rd to 9th: Participatian in the "2009 Parliament of the World’s Religions" in Melbourne, Australia: Make a World of Difference: Hearing each other, Healing the earth; Program Title : The Mystery of Golgatha as the Pathway to Personal Resurrection;

Description : Drawing attention to self-inquiry as the cornerstone of spiritual life; opening to the mystical meaning of the Mystery of Golgatha and the Second Coming of Christ; linking with the source of divine revelation and their accuracy for our days;

Format : Lecture

How Your Program Relates to the 2009 Parliament Theme : Drawing attention to the mystical core of the Christ-impulse and its actual relevance in our days;

How Your Program Relates to the Goals of the Parliament : fostering self-awareness as the foundation of ethical responsibility, spirtual life and humanity;

How Your Program Helps to Achieve The Goals : spiritual influx and inspiration towards self-perfection

Your Predicted Audience : any spiritual seeker

What I find very interesting is that the expression "Golgotha a pathway to personal resurrection" sounds very close to Rudolf Steiner, the Anthrosophist's book.

He talks about "Christ's resurrection as initiation" and talks about it as part of the Ancient Mysteries of the "sun being". This sounds very much like Helena Blavatsky , but Steiner was involved with the Theosophists so this should not be surprising:

You can read more about it here:

I know this has been posted before but might be worth taking a look at again:

Bella and others,

I saw a video via yahoo video titled The Fallen Angels: the occult in Hollywood. It takes a pretty in depth look at some of the most prominent movies of our time and shows how most are simpley retellings of one story. The story is the fall of Lucifer and his friends. It shows how through twisting of perception Hollywood has made people sympathetic for Lucifer, while portraying our Father and Messiah as villains. I don't agree with all points of view in this documentary, however the overall message is one I can't refute.

dectradRegarding the Libson treaty,

In essence this treaty is a constitution of sorts that would bind all EU member states together. One thing that I feel needs to be mentioned is Solana does not need the Libson to seize the reigns of the EU. That power has already been given to him via Recomendation 666. Daniel tells us the final kingdom will be partly iron and partly clay which SHALL NOT ADHERE to one another.

My view of scripture tells me if the EU is this revived empire of rome, the Libson won't be ratified before the little horn seizes power. I can see a similar document being forced on Europe after the fact, but don't see it as neccesary. An emergency could be declared today, and instantly all decision making, and power of the military would be circumvented to Solana's office.

With the G-20 looming over the next few days, the world is calling for an emergency shut down of the financial system, so that it can be restructured into a global system. I am with my brethren here who feel that the next 9 months will get dicey. Only wisdom, love of the Truth, and a fair amount of our Father's grace will keep us from deception.

The escape entertainment logo was a running man over an eye. If you go to the movie trailer page you can catch it right at the beginning.

I watched with my hubby and went through a whole range of emotions. My main was fear... i just couldn't believe that the "people/aliens" were going to be friendly. I was also so overwhelmed by how people could watch such frightening scenes and not look away.

Just a thought

What if all the uncovering of the New World Order, the EU connections, the Catholic Church, is all part of Satans plan to decieve Christians into thinking that these things fit the descriptions given in Revelation, to distract us from what he is really up to.

Satan knows scripture better than we do.

What if he is setting up these false entities, so the fake Christ can come to destroy them.

When a person confesses to a murder they didn't commit, then we stop looking for the real murderer unless we start to suspect that something isn't quite right! There is no better cover for the guilty party, than for someone else to take the fall. That is what Christ did for us, He took our pentalty, so we are now protected by His blood.

It is too easy to see that the Catholic Church is the Harlot, and even though she is corrupt, I think the whole "Church system" inlcuding the Protestants are the whores as well, commiting adultry with the world system. Almost every ministry that I know is really about fleecing the sheep, they put on a mask ( the true Gospel) to cover up their greed.

Anonymous said...

Also the sybolism of the EU, a woman riding a beast. Dont' you think that is a little too obvious. Because Satan can't undertstand the real meaning of the Scripture because he does not have the Spirit of God, He must interpret these things literally. He has inspired all of these organizations in order to deceive Bible believing Christians that this is the Anti-Christ system.

I am not saying this is necessarily true, but I think we should be extra careful.

What if some Christ figure were to come on the scene and seem to destroy these organizations.

Maybe the US is the whore of Babylon, but doesn't the Old Testament talk about Israel playing the harlot? I would think the Bible would be talking about a spiritual harlot and if so, it would not be refering to a country, but a group of people who claim to belong to Christ, but are actually involved with other gods

Anyone know anything more about the ION channels and Lowell "Bud" Paxson?

I was at a clients with a ION digital channel on, the Life version. When not advertising medication, generally new age products and certainly new age programming on channel as well. Also swear that at times the logo show symbols that include "religious" one similar to the "inter-faith" "matereya" and so on logos. It flashes so quick it is hard to tell, usually it is just the break down of "subjects" they cover on ION life.

I know "Bud" claims to be born again, but examining content of stations makes me wonder.

Suspend EU-Israel trade agreement says UK Greens MEP
March 31, 2009

The EU received another call to end its association agreement with Israel — possibly setting the stage for the breaking of the seven-year ‘covenant with the many.’

UK Greens MEP Jean Lambert has backed calls for a suspension of the EU-Israel trade agreement.

Addressing an event in parliament on Tuesday, Lambert said such a move would "send a strong signal that the EU wants peace in the Middle East."

"We need to end this cycle of violence and this is one way of achieving that," she declared.

The London deputy jointly organised a hearing in parliament which was presented with a petition, signed by over 15,000 people, which calls for an immediate suspension of the EU-Israel association agreement.

The petition was presented by a group of young people who had cycled the 200km from the European court of justice in The Hague to Brussels.

The so-called Peace Cycle, a British voluntary organisation, has in the past also organised cycle rides from Amman to Jerusalem.

Lambert told the meeting, "This is a new initiative, involving mostly young people, who, as I do, are calling on the EU to use its influence to help push forward the peace process.

"Suspension of the agreement would send a strong signal that the EU is serious about wanting peace in the Middle East.

"It is time to hold Israel to account for the current situation in Gaza."

One of the cyclists, who declined to be named, said, "We witnessed a number of violations of human rights during our time spent in the region and believe it is time something was done to highlight the lack of action by the EU against Israel’s continued breaches of human rights."

An Israeli source in Brussels pointed out that its military action in Gaza over the Christmas period was taken in retaliation against "continued and systematic" attacks on its territory.

Story of priests interred in Dauchau and how they suffered at the hands of athiests.

"It is worth noting that there were only 141 non-Catholic clergymen in Dachau, as opposed to 2,400 Catholic priests (not to mention a few hundred seminarians and brothers). This suggests that the Nazi regime saw the Catholic Church as its chief enemy. Fr. Lenz points out that "two-thirds of Germany was Protestant when Hitler came to power" in 1933, yet in 1945 there were only 17 German Protestant ministers interned in Dachau (and 33 of other nationalities), while the Catholic third of Germany alone was represented by 190 Catholic priests."

Will the pattern again be Jews first (because they are the smallest group, Catholics next and finally Protestants as martyrs to the faith?

I am sure the whore is mostly false/whore Israel as looking at Revelation 17:8-18 compared to Israel in Exodus 25, uncanny resemblance. Would take a book to write what I see in this, but a historical look at Israel from her going to Babylon forward through history and her wayward service to God fits the bill for me.

Joyce said...

Your analysis of Scripture doesn't take into account that God said this about Israel in the last days:

Ezek. 37:21 “Say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I will atake the sons of Israel from among the nations where they have gone, and I will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land;
Ezek. 37:22 and I will make them aone nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and bone king will be king for all of them; and they will no longer be two nations and no longer be divided into two kingdoms.
Ezek. 37:23 “They will ano longer defile themselves with their idols, or with their detestable things, or with any of their transgressions; but bI will deliver them from all their 1dwelling places in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. And they will be My people, and I will be their God.
Ezek. 37:24 ¶ “My servant aDavid will be king over them, and they will all have bone shepherd; and they will walk in My ordinances and keep My statutes and observe them.

Now, there are some other problems with your theory:

This does not fit the description of Israel:

Rev. 18:16 saying, ‘aWoe, woe, bthe great city, she who cwas clothed in fine linen and purple and scarlet, and 1adorned with gold and precious 2stones and pearls;
Rev. 18:17 for in aone hour such great wealth has been laid bwaste!’ And cevery shipmaster and every 1passenger and sailor, and as many as make their living by the sea, astood at a distance,
Rev. 18:18 and were acrying out as they bsaw the smoke of her burning, saying, ‘cWhat city is like dthe great city?’
Rev. 18:19 “And they threw adust on their heads and were crying out, weeping and mourning, saying, ‘bWoe, woe, the great city, in which all who had ships at sea cbecame rich by her 1wealth, for in bone hour she has been laid dwaste!’
Rev. 18:20 “aRejoice over her, O heaven, and you 1saints and bapostles and prophets, because cGod has 2pronounced judgment for you against her.”

The description of Israel in Rev is this:
Rev. 12:1 ¶ A great asign appeared bin heaven: ca woman dclothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars;
Rev. 12:2 and she was with child; and she *acried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth.
Rev. 12:3 Then aanother sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red bdragon having cseven heads and dten horns, and on his heads were eseven diadems.
Rev. 12:4 And his tail *swept away a athird of the stars of heaven and bthrew them to the earth. And the cdragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth dhe might devour her child.
Rev. 12:5 And ashe gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to 1brule all the 2nations with a rod of iron; and her child was ccaught up to God and to His throne.
Rev. 12:6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she *had a place prepared by God, so that there 1she would be nourished for aone thousand two hundred and sixty days.

It is true to say that Israel committed spiritual harlotry, but God punished Israel and for the sake of His name, and for the Fathers, He will restore Israel. It's a very important central theme in Scripture. There are numerous judgements on the nations who go against Israel.

Joyce, let me add: Hosea 3:1 through 5
1 Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.
2 So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for a homer of barley, and a half homer of barley:
3 and I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee.
4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:
5 afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.

God has bought Israel, and He who works all things according the counsel of His own will, wills Israel as His own, and though all forsake her, God will not.
This is the latter days, and God is coming for the purchased possession.

and you have not apparently considered Romans and Hebrews in regards to Israel and false Israel, that those who refuse (hate) Jesus are refused (hated)by God, and that Paul is talking of his Jewish brethren as he reflects in Ch 9. of their having been out aside for the sake of the Gentile until the end of the age when they will recognize whom they have pierced. (Yes, indeed Calvinism has swallowed up the US church, but at its beginning as a nation, but God has offered salvation to all who might receive) Israel in the new covenant is ALL who have repented and received the gift of eternal life through Jesus, blood and lineage, circumcision etc. do not count, for it is by Faith. In the end they will see, yes(all will see and bow) but that is not the current state of Israel the nation today. It appears that some eyes are being opened in Israel, but most HATE the name of Jesus. Also notice in the OT, it is Always The Lord who restores Israel, not the man made Balfour Declaration. Not all that say they are Israel are Israel, I wish Christians would use the whole word of God and look at God's character as to fleshly Israel, what a damning lie to teach they can come in outside the blood of Jesus, he is the ONLY propitiation for sins. You can not cut that from the equation, so balance the Word, understand what Paul and the rest of the New Testament was teaching, not just taking 3 sentences, but rightly read in context, often requiring full study of the WHOLE book.

Yours is an interesting theory. The world is full of unproved theories. Until you are sure enough of your unproved theory to put a huge personal bet on it, I won't worry that what you say is worth giving a second thought. As outlandish as something is, there will always be someone willing to believe it as long as it doesn't cost them anything.

Anon 6:03,
Why are so bent?
Hosea isn’t talking about individuals rejecting the Cross,
He, the Holy Spirit is pointing to Israel weeping for the “one they have pierced;” this is prophecy, this is God’s character.
Psalm 22- “I will declare thy name. . . .“ John 17- “I have declared thy name. . . “ God’s name is His attributes, and one of those attributes is His faithfulness to “ALL generations.”
Its God’s unmerited favor, it has always been such.
Calm down!
You mustn’t have been following this blog very long and are taking things out of context. I don’t usually get into tit for tat conversation, especially with Anons, but please don’t make sweeping generalities when you respond to me.
If you remove God’s faithfulness to Israel, there is no faithfulness to you.
