That Moon looks red again!

That Moon appears to be growing redder by the day . . .

Ironically, I write these words on Javier Solana’s 64th birthday . . . July 14, 2006

I left my law office the other night -- Monday -- and again was frustrated by my lack of a camera. There was a huge, distinctly pink full moon to my south, hovering over a metropolitan Detroit skyline. Were it not only July, I would have probably characterized it as a “harvest moon.” It was a smaller and very white moon last night – at least in this corner of Michigan where I reside.

Monday was my first day back in the office after Oregon speaking engagements. I’ve seen relatively little of the news, but what I have seen is disturbing to the nth degree. Nothing much of good appeared to be going on in the world. Iran was non-committal about ridding itself of nuclear fission processing. The United States through White House Press Secretary, Tony Snow, said its foremost consideration in the whole Iran scenario was that above all, it deal through its acknowledge channel. The “channel,” is as we all know by now, none other than “our very good friend, Javier Solana.”[1]

Well, that didn’t help me sleep much better at night, especially after reading recent Statewatch reports on “Arming Big Brother.”[2]

When I left home on Tuesday morning, India had suffered violent train bombings in Mumbai (better known to most of us as the former Bombay). [3]More than 200 casualties were attributed to it. When I arrived home very late that night (come to think of it, the next night after I saw the large, pinkish moon) I learned that there had been a serious train accident in Chicago, as well. [4] But even all that bad news was eclipsed the very next day by the news coming from Israel which had already been bad enough all the previous week. Israel was responding to Hezbollah bombings by air strikes and troops dispatched to Lebanon. All Israel reservists were called up to active duty. Javier Solana was condemned by the ZOA. [5] I wasn’t quite sure how that would play out, especially with the Lucis Trust New Agers who give the usual line in response to charges of anti-Semitism, that “we’re not anti-Semitic, we’re anti-Zionist.”[6]

And then I decided to top off my Wednesday night with a peek at Javier Solana from the perspective of data bases other than google.com. I sure was surprised to see my name showing up as a “related name” on Ask.com, excite.com, dogpile.com, etc. I was even more surprised to see what was coming up as their top prioritized story on Javier Solana – an article about Tara Center/Share International’s alleged “Maitreya the Christ.”[7] Unbelievable, even to me. You’d better hurry over that and archive it for yourself. They play this lovely little game of “now you see us, now you don’t.”

Yes, it’s been quite a week. I wonder how it will end? I wonder when I’ll see the moon red again?

A SHAMELESS BORROWING FROM HERB PETERS

A SHAMELESS BORROWING FROM THE PEN OF HERB PETERS!

I have been traveling where I will be speaking in Cottage Grove, Oregon for a few days. That has occupied my energies for the last few days as I tried to organize home, law practice, and materials for this trip, not to mention that packing has never been my greatest attribute. I just took a peek at friend Herb Peters’ website and saw something I wished I had authored myself. I am taking the liberties of borrowing my material to maximize its exposure. You can read it here and then go to his site by clicking the appropriate link at the right side of my blogspot. I welcome your comments and I’m sure Herb does too.

Poor Guy

The G-8 [has] issued their decision: Iran must respond to Javier Solana's incentive package that was approved by the so-called "five plus one" nations, at a meeting next week with Solana Read about it here. If you recall, Iran said the world would have to wait until next August for their reply. Evidently, something may have changed their mind. Let's take a look at what this "something" might be.
For a start, just who are the G-8 nations now throwing their weight behind Solana? They are a grouping of the world's eight major economies -- Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, United Kingdom, and the United States.
OK. Now, who are the "five plus one" nations that supported Solana's incentive package offer to Iran? They are the five governing UN Security Council powers, the United States, United Kingdom, France, Russia and China -- plus Germany. And, last I knew, the UN was an international body made up of 191 nations. I think I'll skip listing all these nations.
Now, who are the EU nations? Why? Because, according to this article Read it here, Solana represents this group of nations too. Let's see, the EU member states are, Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands and United Kingdom.
Friends, these are a lot of nations. Each individual group of nations mentioned -- the G-8, the "five plus one" governing powers of the 191 member UN and the 25 member EU -- have an awful lot of clout in the world. But, when someone succeeds in bringing them all together -- such as Solana evidently has -- we're talking about someone who has achieved almost unimaginable international stature.
So, Iran's negotiator must meet with Solana next week.
Poor guy.

June 6, 2006 - Where in the World is Javier Solana?

June 6, 2006: I wondered where Solana would be today – Now we know! - Teheran and to receive an award in Germany at 18:00 hours!

Last Friday night, I awoke after a nap to view what appeared to me as a red moon. I wondered out loud about that and mused the same to my readers. Well, now we know.
There’s a lot of hoopla today over 666. I wondered what the “invisible man”, Javier Solana, who has so consistently put that inflammatory number before us would be doing as he represents the UN and entire western world as spokesman on the current leading Middle East issue – Iran and its potential nuclear development – would be doing on June 6th..

Now we know. He is in Teheran on June 6, 2006. You may read one of the many stories about it by clicking here.

http://www.expatica.com/source/site_article.asp?subchannel_id=52&story_id=30570&name=Javier+Solana+delivers+nuclear+proposal+to+Iran

We also know he enjoys a private plane and he will be elsewhere later in the day. Here’s the itinerary for the rest of the 6-6-6 day:

TUESDAY 06 JUNE 2006

Teheran
Berlin
18:00Ceremony Award of the Grand Cross 1st class of ther Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany
20:00Working dinner with Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier

Hmm, Teheran, Berlin. The more silly among us are joking about 666 by celebrating it in Hell, Michigan (only about 65 miles from Detroit); or going to see replays of The Omen. Personally, I’m not going to worry about one day that much, and I will continue to observe the person who has placed the number 666 that consistently before us without that much notice – Javier Solana.

I’m sure it’s all a coincidence. Sure, Sure! I'm equally and unfortunately sure that most people will treat it as a joke -- it's not.

Red Moons and Solana the global spokesman?

JAVIER SOLANA, THE EVIDENT CURRENT SPOKESMAN FOR THE WORLD, IS READY TO PRESENT IRAN WITH ITS GLOBAL INCENTIVE PACKAGE

Somedays I think my imagination is starting to work overtime. I am still at my office spending Friday night both perusing legal work and research on the topics which fuel this blog and my future writing. This has been a habit of mine on free Friday nights for the past 25 years. I keep a cheap hammock chair in the closet of my office. It is one of those canvas chairs designed for camping. It has both a foot and head rest. I keep it for a practical reason. There are times when I pull long hours when I can keep my eyes open no longer. Now, I must confess that I can go into couch potato mode just looking at a couch. For that reason, I do not keep a more aesthetically pleasing couch in my office. I fear I might go into permanent hibernation. I wish I could sleep as well in my bed at night as I feel like doing when I view a comfortable couch. The temptation for the couch at home is non-existent. Quite honestly, we usually have too many books, etc. on it to allow for anything but seating at whatever end remains’ clean. Okay, that’s the end of true confessions about my housekeeping imperfections for now at least. The point of this is that I did take a half hour break and awoke about half an hour ago and at least perceived that I was viewing an increasingly reddening moon. Yes, there appeared to be a red crescent moon appearing after what had been heavy rains. I went for my digital camera and discovered that battery was low and the charger missing, and then the moon disappeared from view.

Convinced my imagination now was truly acting overtime, I returned to the computers and decided to see what “our very good friend”, Javier Solana, was up to. I didn’t have to look far. Yesterday, googling him, I found he had well in excess of 6 million hits. Today was a relative down day in the news for him in terms of google.com numbers. He now has a mere 5,850,000 google search item yields. Maybe a few of them are for the Mexican flight and sports car aficionado, the other Javier Solana. After checking the numbers, I decided to check the news and see what ‘the invisible man’ had on his plate as of late. Again, I have decided that I must be seeing too much in things and working too hard. I thought that I was reading something again implying that Javier Solana was a de facto world spokesman. You can read what I probably read too much into for yourself by in Herb Peters style clicking this link read all about it here.

Oh, and there were headlines about riots in Paris, hopeful expectations of peace over the Solana Iran presentation in the Jerusalem Post and news of a Canada boycott of Israel. I mused over what I had seen heard the last few days: civilians, including women and children killed in Iraq; daily explosive bombings in Iraq; Russia unhappy over NATO expansion; earthquakes; 25 year anniversary for AIDS; misery in Indonesia, etc., etc., etc. Did I see a red moon? Did you? Oh, and I wonder just when he will be presenting that package to Iran. Cristina Gallach, his spokesman said, per the Iranian press, that the date Solana planned to give the package to Iran is currently "undisclosed." I wonder what he is doing on June 6th? I wonder if that moon is still red?

Dealing with A Saint that ain't

VASSULA RYDEN -- DEALING WITH A "LIVING SAINT" THAT AIN'T

My dear friend, Liz Collins, left this world in late Spring, 2005. While she was living, she was one of my strongest supporters on New Age Movement issues. Liz and Bob Collins were devout Catholics and Liz was deeply concerned about New Age infiltration of the Roman Catholic Church. I probably could have written several more books in the time that Liz took me places to put out individual fires at local Catholic institutions. I was always afraid that I would end up being arrested as I accompanied Liz who would ask a seemingly naïve question of the New Age presenter and be put down as unschooled in theology. Of course, I would always get up thereafter and give them a sophisticated piece of my mind before we both left. I would feel bad about the approach, had not so many approached me in later years and thanked me for being there and saying what I did. "You said exactly what I needed to hear," said one woman who had been an enthusiastic devotee of the Matthew Fox/Thomas Stanks line before coming to see it for what it was -- a soul trap. Liz was a former Pan American Airlines hostess, was fluent in both English and German, and had a degree in home economics. She flew Pan American’s international skies in the 50’s before she and Bob married and raised their six beautiful children.

Liz expressed frequent concerns to me about an alleged new “saint,” an alleged Greek Orthodox, Vassula Ryden, a "former Sheraton Hotel model, former tennis champion of Bangladesh and fluent in four languages, one of which was Arabic. She claimed Jesus was frequently giving her direct messages.

Now I have to tell you that practicing law in the metropolitan Detroit area, there is no second language more useful than Arabic. The little I know, I speak VERY WELL and I can read and write a smattering of it. If I were to have a full-immersion experience, I’m sure I could be fully functional in it in very little time. It was a Jewish attorney who gave me the key to unlocking it. Elliot Perlman said to me, “the key to learning Arabic is its alphabet. Unlike English, it is pronounced exactly as written. There are only 28 letters in that alphabet and it is strictly phonetic.” I had a client, from Egypt, who knew no English. At that time (1990), I knew no Arabic. We both knew one extremely helpful French phrase, “qu’est-ce que c'est?” (What is that”.) Through that he introduced me to Arabic and I introduced him to English equivalents. The handy-dandy language tapes helped with a good share of the rest, as well as my various Arabic clients who were thrilled to help me discover their language which to my delight was arranged in logical clusters. I practiced it every chance I got, which was often given Detroit’s large Arabic population.

Now, about the time that I was practicing this and trying it out on my English speaking friends, including Liz and Bob Collins, Liz approached me with news that Orchard Lake Seminary was bringing Vassula Ryden to town. Liz and friend Tom McGlynn were concerned that there might be New Age aspects to her work. I was busy practicing law and didn’t want to take the time to look. Liz and Tom prepared a flyer based on their own studies and placed flyers on cars at Orchard Lake Seminary the night Vassula was speaking, also, as I recall sometime in the earlier 1990’s. Liz called me with the disturbing news that she had almost been arrested, but the organizers of Vassula’s talk had invited Liz to their Lathrup Village home to personally meet Vassula.

Liz Collins and Tom McGlynn naturally wanted me to be part of that expedition. I wasn’t so sure. For one thing, it was to happen on a Saturday – my day off – the day I tried to forget I had ever been an attorney and just take care of things at home – the day that has saved my sanity for the past 17 years. I finally, however, reluctantly agreed to go.

The day was a very cold and wet rainy April one. I met Liz and Tom at a now closed restaurant called Vassili’s. We had pre-meeting talks and took one car from there to the Vassula Ryden gathering. I was not happy about my day off being disturbed for anything short of the Second Coming itself. I griped openly, “Vassula Ryden says she can speak Arabic. I’ve got a good notion to speak to her in Arabic. If she doesn’t understand me, you don’t have to worry about the authenticity of her spirituality – she’s a garden variety fraud!”

We walked into the lovely and spacious Lathrup Village home. The “Saint” was wearing slacks and had straight long light brown hair. She professionally shook hands with all who entered in a reception line type setting. Liz shook her hand and waited for me. Tom McGlynn then shook her hand and waited for me. It was my turn. I used the Arabic phrase for “I’m very pleased to meet you.” Immediately, Vassula Ryden said, “what language is that?” I did an aside to Tom and Liz and said, “she doesn’t know what language I’m speaking.” I used increasingly common phrases in any Arabic dialect (trust me, we have them all in this metropolitan Detroit region). Finally, I said one of the most common of all which transliterates something like “Sabbah al’hier” (good morning). Vassula said to me, “you’re driving me crazy – what language is that?”

I said, “You don’t know.” “No,” she replied. “Arabic,” I said.

A clearly taken by surprise Vassula Ryden said, “my friend over there speaks Arabic. She can tell me if you’re speaking Arabic or not.” I said to her, "well, I thought from all your advance publicity that you'd be able to tell me that for yourself." She repeated, "my friend speaks Arabic, she can tell me if you're speaking Arabic or not. I dutifully went to her friend who was standing very near by and undoubtedly heard our conversation. As I recall her name may have been called “Mrs. Mansour.” I greeted her and then introduced myself in Arabic, told her where I was from, what my occupation was and where I was currently living.” She turned to Vassula and said, “yes, she is speaking Arabic.”

I went into the living room where her faithful were gathered along with us three skeptics. A sweet old priest who was familiar with my work against the New Age Movement greeted me and said he had gotten his sister out of the New Age Movement, thanks in part to my books and thanks in part to the writings of Vassula Ryden.” I said to him in the least abruptful way I could, “the New Age Movement can take many forms.” I then asked Vassula Ryden, “what United Nations agency employs your husband?” She said, “Are you interrogating me?” I said, “I guess you could say that.” She said, “Well, I’m not going to tell you.” I said, “yes, and you speak fluent Arabic too.” She said, “I couldn’t understand your dialect.” I told her I was speaking the dialect she claimed to know, pure Egyptian Arabic.

I denounced her as a fraud and left. The story of the confrontation quickly made the local circuits. My friends claim I was mumbling as I left (not sure I remember), “I wonder why God let me learn Arabic so easily – I had so much trouble with college French.”

A few years later I had the privilege (1994) of meeting author E. Michael Jones. He had interestingly noted the problems with Vassula Ryden in his book on Medjujorge claimed apparitions. He noted the obvious theological errors and said that Mrs. Mansour, who may well have been the same lady I earlier met in Lathrup Village, said that the errors may have existed because Arabic was Vassula Ryden’s primary language and “that perhaps in the transliteration . . .” I told E. Michael Jones what I had learned – from my observation, Vassula Ryden did not know as much as a word of Arabic.

Liz’ husband, Bob Collins, said, “you should have challenged her to a game of tennis, too” (Referring to her claims that she was a former tennis champion for the Nation of Bangladesh.)

I guess being a saint and selling lots of books to the faithful is good retirement work for aging Sheraton Hotel models. Frankly, I would invest my heavenly aspiration resources elsewhere than in Vassula Ryden books. I looked at her website this morning and saw that she claims the present pope is rethinking the position he took on her when he headed the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. He was right the first time and I hope he stands firm! Oh, and if you are curious about this lady, be sure to google her and her website can be located by pressing on the headline above.

A Newt Gingrich Instant Replay

I published this in early January of this year. Inexplicably, I learned that this article was no longer appearing on Google searches, even though the other content of my blogs was appearing on them. Since Gingrich is aggressively running, and large numbers of Christians seem to blindly accept that he is a “Christian conservative,”I thought an instant replay of sorts was in order!

NEWT GINGRICH – CONSERVATIVE? SAVIOUR OF MORALITY? FUTURE USA PRESIDENT? GIVE ME A BREAK!

Researching the hidden dangers of the New Age Movement as I have for the past 25 years, I have seen in “true New Age fashion” plenty of recycling. Few are stranger than the former Congressman from Georgia, Newt Gingrich, who I first discovered as the stalwart New Age Movement insider that he was. He went on to become the House majority leader and an alleged spokesperson for the Conservative movement. A few alarms were sounded, but his “conservative image” prevailed in public and media consciousness. He is now attempting a re-emergence, perhaps even a run for President. God help us! Marilyn Ferguson wrote the landmark manifesto book for the New Age Movement, THE AQUARIAN CONSPIRACY. She described her “conspiracy” as a benign one, with people “seeking power only to disperse it to others.” She also edited two profitable insider newsletters for her “co-conspirators”. One was called LEADING EDGE BULLETIN. The other was called BRAIN-MIND BULLETIN. It was the former where I first learned of Newt Gingrich.

Marilyn Ferguson wrote glowingly in the early 1980s of the brave Georgia congressman who was doing so very much to advance the agenda of the Movement. Naturally, I immediately opened a file on him and followed his career with fascination since. He drew since forgotten notoriety in conservative and even feminist circles by serving his first wife with divorce papers as she lie recovering from surgery in the cancer ward. He then married his Congressional aide, a wife who has also been discarded for another younger still model. His New Age proclivities were not hidden. He publicly proclaimed his close affinities for his mentor, Alvin Toffler. He also was obviously close to John Naisbitt, the author of MEGATRENDS and MEGATRENDS 2000. Naisbitt also wrote the foreword to a later edition of Ferguson’s THE AQUARIAN CONSPIRACY.

In the early 1990s, an Atlanta magazine got wind of my concerns. A reporter contacted me and went through details on the New Age Movement and my concerns about Gingrich’s open and obvious links. I was dismayed to receive a faxed copy of the obviously scoffing news clip called “The Devil and Newt Gingrich.” That was the bad news. The good news was that somebody who had once relatively close insider ties to Newt Gingrich, a man calling himself to me only “Chip,” faxed me many pages of handwritten letters Gingrich had sent him. The letters talked proudly of how Newt’s daily practice of Taoism helped him make his daily decisions in Congress.

Gingrich resigned in disgrace from Congress over an illegal book deal. He is now reinventing himself as a spokesperson for morality. People are speaking admiringly of his recent public affiliations with liberal Democrats such as Hillary Clinton on national health issues. It all seems incongruous unless one understands the dynamics of the New Age Movement which itself has of late reinvented itself as “the Radical Middle.” Among Gingrich’s incongruities, he is a self-described “internationalist,” consistent with his New Age values. He has been involved on an international “networking society” level with another name to which I have given much ink, “Javier Solana.” [1] When there were Republican moves to halt United States involvement with Solana’s Bosnian invasion adventures, Newt Gingrich’s name was reportedly conspicuously missing from Congressional petitions to withhold funding. Gingrich's name has also been associated with the supposedly evangelical Council for National Policy (CNP). Never known for the utmost in discernment, CNP has included in their exclusive sets well known Unification Church Reverend Moon operatives as well. For the record, Rev. Moon is best known for his claims to be the "Lord of the Second Advent."

Don’t expect me to be campaigning this or any other year for Newt Gingrich for President or any other office, except perhaps dog catcher (and I’m not sure I would want to do that to even a dog!). And you be careful too! At best he is a New Ager. At worst he is a shameless opportunist -- neither are viable options as far as Yours Truly is concerned. JAVIER SOLANA 4,700,000 HITS AND GROWING

JAVIER SOLANA – 4,700,000 GOOGLE HITS AND GROWING – NEW SUPPORT FROM WASHINGTON!

I’ve had a few busy weeks keeping up with my law practice. I took a peek on line tonight. I was starting to think maybe things were quieting down with “our very good friend, Javier Solana.” After all, the two ladies running Austria, Ursula Plassnik and Benita Ferrero-Waldner, its foreign minister who also serves as interim External Affairs Commissioner for the European Union put a damper of sorts on Dr. Solana in April. Austria announced it was putting plans for the EU Constitution on hold until 2007. It said it wanted to see Dr. Solana and Benita Ferrero-Waldner start getting along better before pushing increased powers for the EU and thereby Dr. Solana who stands to gain the most when and if the EU constitution with its Foreign Minister on Steroids adopted. Under the new regime, the EU presidency would be a weakened one, unable to succeed itself. The “Foreign Minister” by contrast could. He would have a super-sized budget, a right of “initiative,” and powers that Charlemagne, Napoleon, and Hitler could only have only realized in their dreams.

In the meantime, Javier Solana has his “odd-jobs” WEU and its every growing military machine to content himself with. And tonight, it looks like he got another boost – this time from Washington. Logging on to check my sadly behind Yahoo! Email, I was greeted with news that he spent time in New York and Washington today with Condoleeza Rice, who has announced that she is “backing European diplomacy” to solve the Iranian crisis. He was here primarily to meet with "The Quartet for Peace in the Middle East" of which he and Kofi Annan are the two constants since its formation.

I am starting to believe that Solana’s deliberately low kept American profile is about to come to a close. I suspect that from now on, we will be hearing much more about him. Googling him yielded 4,700,000 plus hits today. Clearly, he’s not going away.

But then again, maybe this was merely a ploy to advance his real job aspiration – Mayor of Madrid. As Herb Peters routinely advises, I’m staying tuned!

Statewatch releases ARMING BIG BROTHER report regarding Solana's EU!

“ARMING BIG BROTHER”

URGENT – URGENT – URGENT

Please download and read this report IMMEDIATELY. I cannot overstress its importance. I believe Herb Peters may be commenting on it soon. I thank correspondent Jeremy Compton for calling it to my attention. It is newly released and BIG NEWS. I don’t suspect Javier Solana will be terribly fond of its revelatory content! I will be writing on this later, but the content will speak for itself. It is a Statewatch Report warning of the European military industrial complex, including biometric, RFID, satellite montoring of the population. “Arming Big Brother: The EU’s Security Research Programme by Ben Hayes is REQUIRED READING!

Madariaga and H. G. Wells' 'Open Conspiracy'

H. G. WELLS, SALVADOR DE MADARIAGA AND THE 'OPEN CONSPIRACY'

A key book that helped me understand the New Age Movement in 1981 was H. G. Wells’ THE OPEN CONSPIRACY: BLUEPRINTS FOR A WORLD REVOLUTION. I first read of it in Marilyn Ferguson’s THE AQUARIAN CONSPIRACY. I then found the title, predictably, on the shelves of Detroit’s then leading New Age bookstore, The Mayflower.[1] I took more than my fair share of ridicule, mostly from self-styled cult “experts” in the Christian community for pointing out the obvious similarities between what was happening and how H. G. Wells said things should and would happen. Particularly among many proclaimed cult-experts in the evangelical world (EMNR, CRI, John Warwick Montgomery), there was denial of any political networking or even “political consciousness” among New Agers. I will have more to say about this later.

Lately, materials I have reviewed concerning, inter alia, Javier Solana, brought passages from my old H. G. Wells’ readings to mind. I found myself absently mindedly wondering if there were perhaps connections between Salvador de Madariaga, Javier Solana’s fondly mentoring grandfather and Wells. After all, they were contemporaries. Thanks in part to two of my favorite persons, the guys who invented Google.com, and in part to my personal bookshelves, I discovered indeed there were – and they were strong, even close connections. Madariaga was an admirer of H. G. Wells plans for the new strong one world government. This information is also contained in my growing library of Salvador de Madariaga’s books. A telling reference is MORNING WITHOUT NOON Memoirs[2] by him. Happily, Madariaga is more readable than many of his peers. He had his faults, but he was not a dry or boring writer!

Madariaga included Wells in the list of great men “that converged on Geneva” in his League of Nations’ days. He records his recollections:

Such was the concentration of great men that converged on Geneva as moths drawn towards the light, that I found myself one evening to dine with Rabindranath Tagore and also, at another place, with H. G. Wells. In my usual absent-mindedness, I had accepted both invitations. I disentangled the conundrum by dining with Wells and going to have coffee with Tagore.[3]

It appears there was sometimes friction between Wells’ and Madariaga. He said there was contrast between the two personalities he met that evening: “while Tagore was nobility incarnate, Wells was vulgarity at its best-worst.”[4]

Despite this, all things being equal, Madariaga often preferred Wells’ to Tagore. He drew parallels and contrasts between the two men. Their messages were the same. Their styles were very different. A sensitive person, Madariaga professed to shudder at Wells’ crudeness. But he feared Tagore’s apparent delicacy was not strong enough to put their one-world government plans over the top. Wells’ maybe were. Tagore’s theme, per Madariaga was “the unity of mankind, and his argument, forcible and convincing, led to the need for developing the League of Nations into a world government.

Madariaga was firm in his conviction (and angered at the USA for blocking same) that world government was needed. Wells was the better person to put it over the top:

“Wells, however, had his own fascination, and in a parallel with Tagore he was by no means the loser; for he did, at least, hold his own. Tagore sitting in an ample summer chair on which he spread his vast figure and flowing robes . . . But when I listened to Wells, whose talk nearly always covered the same ground, I could not help preferring the Westerner’s concrete, directly, original approach, to the Easterner’s more vapid, general and, so to speak, goody-goody preaching. Wells was ever at his best in the context of action, cause and effect, mechanics of society, evolution of production and consumption, strains and balances between nations and the vast avenue of progress his mind opened for men out of the (then) present mess. Perhaps, would I then think, his very vulgarity helps to make it taste more modern.”

Madariaga’s 1973 book did not give a time frame apart from the obvious Geneva encounter. But I do know positively of at least one other time. That was an apparent 1940 symposium with speakers H. G. Wells, S. De Madariaga, J. Middleton Murry, and one C. E. M. Joad on what else? The New World Order – Its Basic Principles”. The four gentleman gathered before their live audience at a non-specified date that year in Central Hall, Westminister under the aegis of the National Peace Conference. England was under Nazi Germany’s attack. It was predictable that there would be concern for how society would be organized when all was over and that’s what this conference was about.

I’m sorry, but shades of much of this, peace conferences and all (not to mention the anti-religious aspects of that seminar) are reminding me of a literary character named Julius Felsenburgh in Lord of the World. You can reference that by clicking on the side link to my blogspot.

Back to the 1940 symposium. Madariaga seemed from the transcripts publicly irritated that evening by some of Wells’ apparent crudeness. Speaker J. Middleton Murry (a claimed ‘pacifist Christian’) had things to say to both. He said the two men were “both in essential agreement and I am in agreement with them . . . that what we are up against is an appalling lag of the human consciousness.” It was explained, per Mr. Murry, as “a major biological crisis.” Now, Madariaga had spoken to the “consciousness crisis” as well.

Folks, where did I hear that language in my anti-New Age career? “Consciousness,” “New World Order,” . . . In his speech that evening, Madariaga said, “the revolution must be in the inward man”. Now, as I said in my last post about Cardinal Danneels alleged daily changing theology, that whether that was good or bad was the direction in which it changed.

Madariaga made intriguing references in his speech that evening to "that angel that had the pride to sacrifice himself so that God could be great and henceforth went to the other place—I do not mean in the Parliamentary sense but in the theological sense. Christians for centuries have been accustomed to putting their own mistakes to the devil.[5] . .”

At any rate, this obvious Luciferic reference along with other considerable evidence of Salvador de Madariaga’s anti-clericalism and esotericism will be the subject of another blogspot as well as my forthcoming book. The $64 question is: how much of his approval to H. G. Wells’ disturbing agenda was inculcated in his personally-mentored grandson, Javier Solana, who is now running the military and foreign policy aspects of the European Union.

Of his prescription for the world and its supposed “cure,” Wells wrote:

Whenever possible, the Open Conspiracy will advance by illumination and persuasion. But it has to advance and even from the outset where it is not allowed to illuminate and persuade it must fight.

And also

“Non-resistance, the restriction of activities to moral suasion, is no part of the programme of the Open Conspiracy. In the face of unscrupulous opposition creative ideas must become aggressive, must define their enemies and attach them. By its own organisations or through the police and military strength of governments amenable to its ideas, the movement is bound to find itself fighting for open roads open frontiers, freedom of speech and the realities of peace in regions of oppression. The Open Conspiracy rests upon a disrespect for nationality and there is no reason why it should tolerate noxious or obstructive governments because they hold their own in this or that patch of human territory."

Hmm -- Wells’ statements sound an awful lot like what has been coming out of both Washington and the European Union. Wells himself was no doubt along with his other proclivities genuinely wanting to see an end to war – but he proclaimed with equal vigor that it was ok to wage war to put his “New Order” in place. While decrying his crudeness, Solana’s grandfather thought Wells’ ideas viable and his directness more effective than more flowery, peaceful sounding versions of “the plan.”

The $64 question is “how much of this rubbed off on Javier Solana.” I suspect it was a lot. I also more than suspect that I am defined as one of the “enemies of the open conspiracy.” C’est la vie! As Herb Peters puts, “stay tuned” and have a happy Easter!

[1]The metropolitan Detroit area featured three well stocked New Age bookstores when I started my research in 1982. They were the Mayflower; Middle Earth Books; and the Michigan Metaphysical Society’s store. The Mayflower carried numerous pieces of anti-Semitic literature such as “The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion” and Lady Jane Queensborough’s “Occult Theocrasy.” They, like the H. G. Wells’ THE OPEN CONSPIRACY were strangely labeled “Christian Book Club Edition” .

Battle for the Catholic Church

The Battle for the Roman Catholic Church Future – New Age vs. anti-New Age? What is author Robert Blair Kaiser really saying?

I made the costly mistake of dropping by Border’s on my way home tonight. I saw husband Barry’s car parked there. Hubby graciously offered to buy me a cup of coffee. I accepted that after noticing four new irresistible titles on the new non-fiction table. One of them is the subject of this blog. That is Robert Blair Kaiser’s new book, A Church in Search of Itself: Benedict XVI and the Battle for the Future.” For many of the same reasons for which I found myself comforted by openly anti-New Age Cardinal Ratzinger’s elevation, Kaiser finds the same distasteful. It appears that Robert Blair Kaiser and Lee Penn, author of False Dawn, are at opposite theological poles. Obviously so are Robert Blair Kaiser and yours truly.

It might even be that Robert Blair Kaiser’s book is a type of “The Aquarian Conspiracy” manifesto for integrating more “New Age” change into the church. The people he praises are for the most part open syncretists, those openly promoting apostasy and denial of orthodox tenets. Those he denigrates bluntly are guilty of nothing but keeping the faith.

Robert Blair Kaiser seeks “a Church in Search of Itself.” Lee Penn ably articulates (using the verb “pens” would seem a little punnish!) the need instead of a church in search of God. Kaiser wants a church whose theology swings daily in the opposite direction. The author’s syncretistic biases shine throughout the book. His chapter, Cardinal Francis Arinze on “Developing Local Theologies” probably shows the author’s biases more than the reportedly more conservative Cardinal Arinze (and probably Lee Penn might have more knowledge about this).

Kaiser refers to an address Arinze gave at a year 2000 “Millennium World Peace summit of Religious and Spiritual Leaders” at the UN in New York.[1] Kaiser says Arinze there called upon world leaders not to misuse religion by promoting violence. I have no quarrel with that premise. Kaiser was even happier that “since that meeting, “Arinze had presided over at least three major interreligious gatherings in turn, raising his media profile.” He then writes:

Four months after 9/11, he helped organize a huge gathering of leaders – Moslems, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, and Catholics -- in Assisi, where a similar meeting had been held a decade before. Curiously, the delegates prayed separately, because Cardinal Ratzinger had decided not to encourage joint prayer by men and women who believed in different Gods [sic]. Arinze didn’t fight Ratzinger on that. Neither did the pope.”

Well, score one hooray for Cardinal Ratzinger (now Pope Benedict XVI)! Kaiser also wrote about those he considered the brave, good guys – those who were for “developing local theologies[2] Furthermore, Kaiser probably misread Arinze’s whose agenda was never syncretism, but evangelism. Arinze has personally, even earlier than the last pope himself, spoken out strongly against spiritualism and New Religions, including but not limited to New Age religion.

My admitted light reading of the volume last night makes it appear to me as though Los Angeles' Cardinal Mahoney is a Kaiser favorite. He rapturously describes his do-it-yourself skills with such detail as to make Mahoney look like a natural replacement for the host and star of "This Old House". However, in this case it looks like home construction and church destruction may well go hand in hand in southern California Catholic land. Faithful Christians in Cardinal Mahoney’s diocese succinctly described his actions:

"The Cardinal is bringing in speakers who openly trample on official Catholic teachings," Fisher observed. "He's subjecting Catholics to talks by advocates of abortion, sodomy, homosexual 'marriage,' fornication, ordaining priestesses and homosexuals, occult "New Age' practices, 'dismantling' the Church, defying the Vatican's authority, redefining God, and more. He should stop thumbing his nose at Pope John Paul II and leave office."[3]

While Kaiser was scathingly indignant about Ratzinger/Benedict XVI’s orthodox theology, he was curiously enraptured by those who would deny our Lord, including but not limited to prominent New World Religion proponent Leonard Swidler. Now Swidler is a name well known to me. One of his closest confidants is Jordan’s Prince Hassan, who currently serves as President of the Club of Rome. I’ve kept internet archived files on Swidler for the past few years. I even tried to get him on my radio program once. Luckily for Swidler, he was out of the country and unavailable for that booking. I had planned to use him as Exhibit A to demonstrate the intensity and determination of New Age theologians.

Just what is my issue/problem with “A Church in Search of Itself”? The answer is contained in the very title. A true church is one in search of God, not itself. Kaiser boasts that Belgian and former Pax Christi head, Cardinal Godfried Danneels (one who also at times claimed to speak out against the New Age Movement) proudly said that his theology ‘changed daily.’ [4]

Kaiser, an unapologetic proponent of syncretistic change, gives an interesting list of those who were on the short list for the papal replacement. Kaiser says Ratzinger made none of those 2004 lists:

Papal Candidate Location Liberal Change or “no Change”
Cardinal Francis Arinze[5], Nigeria No Change
Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, Buenos Aires, Argentina Change
Cardinal Godfried Danneels, Mechelen-Brussel, Belgium Change
Cardinal Ivan Dias[6], Bombay, India No Change.
Cardinal Cláudio Hummes, São Paulo, Brazil Change
Cardinal Walter Kasper, Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity in Rome Change
Cardinal Norberto Rivera Carrera[7], Mexico City No Change
Cardinal Oscar Andrés Rodríguez Maradiaga[8]. Tegucigapa, Honduras Change
Cardinal Christoph Schönborn[9], Vienna No change
Cardinal Dionigi Tettamanzi, Milan No change

It is more than interesting to note that just about everybody labeled “No change” spoke out boldly and strongly against the New Age Movement. Those on the list indicated for “change” were considerably more tolerant, if not openly sympathetic to it.

With all the current talk and songs of “New Church”, and writers out there like Robert Blair Kaiser, not to mention the Matthew Foxes, Basil Penningtons, and Thomas Keatings lurking in the background, it appears that Catholic New Agers have not gone away. They merely went underground, but they are resurfacing. Last week I had an anguished call from a local client who was staying with a convent in Rome. Her daughter had called her from
Michigan, USA to say that here local Catholic hospitals are now adopting the very New Age Reikki practices along with the unfortunately usual “healing touch” and other such “transformative technologies.”

My Catholic friends, fasten your spiritual seatbelts and pray for the Pope. As the political agenda of the New Age advances via the European Union, “the men who stare at goats" in the USA military a la Jon Ronson’s analysis, the attempt to again forcibly impose it on Catholics as once happened in the 1980s appears to be once again on the militant march.

The battle is not over. In fact, it may be just beginning. Jesus once said to his apostles, “it is inevitable but that evil comes, but woe to him through whom it comes.”

A word to the spiritually wise should be sufficient!

[4] Kaiser claims that Cardinal Danneels, once head of Pax Christi, and even the author of an anti-New Age tract, said that his theology changed daily. Whether that is good or bad, one would suppose, would be the direction in which the theology changes – closer to or further away from Jesus Christ whom he is pledged to serve – closer or further from God the father. I am dismayed to learn that Danneels was so overwrought by the election of the conservative Ratzinger to the papacy. Danneels' purported anti-New Age advocacy, shown to me a few years ago by another anti-New Age author, Donna Steichen, had once given me hope. Disturbingly, Danneels and nine other cardinals would not stay for the impromptu supper served up by the new Pope Benedict XVI. It has a ring of someone else who at times convincingly professed orthodoxy, but would not stay for dinner – Judas Iscariot on the night of our Lord’s Last Supper.
[5] Cardinal Arinze issued a strong statement against “New Religious Movements” including the New Age Movement in 1991, two years even before Pope John Paul II issued the first such statement known to me. See http://www.ewtn.com/library/NEWAGE/ARINNEWM.TXT.
[6] Ivan Cardinal Dias has spoken out against syncretism and the New Age Movement. See, e.g., http://www.ewtn.com/library/NEWAGE/ARINNEWM.TXT.
[7] Cardinal Carrera’s election would not have disappointed me either. He issued a superb condemnation of the New Age Movement, even as some Evangelical cult-watchers were downplaying the threat of the Movement to true Christianity. See http://www.ewtn.com/library/bishops/acall.htm. Among the topics covered by Cardinal Carrera in that pastoral letter to his Mexico City Catholics were:
New Age and the False Hope, The Rapid Spread of New Age. New Age Beliefs, Environmentalism, Gnosticism, Pseudo-Science, Incompatibility of New Age and the Gospel . Reincarnation, and Non-Christian Meditation, Responsibility of Catholics in Face of Confusion

[8] This Maradiaga is the one that Rastafarian “Squeakbox” the author of the sycophantic biography of Javier Solana referenced in my last blogspot was so terribly disappointed was not elected pope. He posted that to 2005 comment sections on my then blogspots. This is also the one that well meaning readers frequently and wrongfully confuse with Solana’s grandfather Salvador de Madariaga. Maradiaga looks similar, but the spellings are distinctly different on closer inspection.
[9] Cardinal Schonburn strongly spoke out against the New Age Movement. Reviewer James Likoudis writes: "Cardinal Schonborn insists on the historical reliability and credibility of the Gospels. He sharply criticizes the New Age movement and emphasizes that "[t}he dogma of original sin is of inestimable importance for the whole structure of the faith" (p.67). He echoes the Rule of St. Benedict, which asserts that "[n]othing should take precedence over the work of God,' that is, solemn worship" " (p.67). A Sycophantic Biography of Javier Solana

A SYCOPHANTIC BIOGRAPHY OF JAVIER SOLANA

Sometime as I recall it, in late 2003, maybe early 2004, I noticed there was a three line entry on Javier Solana in Wikipedia. I looked at its brevity and paucity of information with disbelief, telling my husband: “he deserves more ink than that.” I noticed the edit tab and composed four pages right off the top of my head. I was certain that (a) his groupies would probably notice it immediately and (b) it would be quickly removed. It stayed there for a very long time – until unfortunately attention was drawn to it by perhaps well-meaning Christians or were they “agents-provacateur”, who started making headline enhancements to the article. Then the Solana groupies did move in, mostly in the person of one calling himself “Squeakbox”. He viciously moved against my attempts to provide meaningful factual information on this person obviously running Europe. The article still contains much of my compiled research, but is written in a pandering, sycophantic style of one who obviously aims to please. This rewritten version did not survive on Wikipedia for obvious reasons – it obviously was not written in a neutral style, but obviously came from the word processor of one who adored Solana. I was lucky enough to find it this morning in a Google.com cache. Because of admissions it makes on the state of Solana’s marriage and its demonstration of the intensity of feeling by those who know and approve Solana’s obvious agenda, it is important and for that reason, I reprint it here. If you want to go look for yourself in the original, the cached link may be reached by clicking on the headline above, that is if it doesn’t disappear by then. Remember the New Age practice of “Now you see us, now you don’t” – and then make sure you timely archive. You may never see it again. The encyclopedia article as it was written, pre-Squeakbox butchery may be found by clicking links to the right for either "Jews for Morality" and/or the Greg Wolf website which has a copy of it." I am suspecting the author here may even have talked with Solana, however, on one notable occasion, he admitted he had invented copy -- a cardinal, but non-prosecuted Wikipedia sin. Interesting!

"Javier Solana
"Professor Francisco Javier Solana Madariaga, born July 14, 1942 in Madrid, Spain, is a great European statesman and the honourable High Representative of the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP). He is also the honourable Secretary-General of both the Council of the European Union (EU) and the Western European Union (WEU), essentially Europe's much needed foreign policy chief who can give Europe a real weight in world affairs, preventing the domination of the USA. He was a well respected and well known physicist who became a politician, before serving as NATO Secretary General 1995-99. He has been designated EU Minister for Foreign Affairs in 2006 in a move that will hopefully allow him to become the one voice in Europe to deal with what Henry Kissinger (himself a former European) had long dreamed of. He is widely considered the brightest political mind of his generation, and a brilliant diplomat and admimistrator. Family history Solana comes from a famous and highly distinguished Spanish family, being the grandson of famous, highly distinguished and great Spanish League of Nations disarmament chief, diplomat, writer, European integrationist and anti cleric Salvador de Madariaga. His older brother Luis was imprisoned for his heroic political activities opposing the US sponsored evil dictatorship of Franco. Student and Physicist He was an outstanding pupil at school, and even at an early age his natural leadership abilities shone. He was known as both the friendliest and the most intelligent pupil in the entire school. In 1963 as a 3rd year undeergraduate student he was unjustly sanctioned by the Franco puppet university authorities for organising an important and well attended opposition forum at the Complutense University called The Week of University Renovation. He bravely and clandestinely joined the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) in 1964, which had been an illegal party under Franco's USA sponsored dictatorship since 1939, thus running the serious risk of imprisonment. In the same year he graduated top in chemistry. He spent a year furthering his studies in the prestigious Oxford University in the United Kingdom until in 1965 his brilliance led him to the United States of America where for six years he studied at various universities on a Fulbright Scholarship. He so impressed his teachers with his quick mind that he was given a job teaching physics at the University of Chicago. He joined in the protests against the horrific United States participation in the Vietnam War. He received his doctorate in physics in 1968 from the University of Virginia with some highly original and impressive work, where he again taught and did some furhter important researched until 1971. Returning to Spain he was immediately invited to become a top lecturer in solid-state physics at the Complutense University. He was quickly promoted to Professor thanks to his quick grasp of knotty physics problems and his natural teaching style. During these years he published more than 30 important and profound books, showing a highly original and very concise mind. Spanish politics On returning to Spain in 1971 Solana joined the Democratic Co-ordination of Madrid as the PSOE representative. In 1976 he was elected to the very important post of PSOE's Secretary (where he remained for five years) in its first national congress inside Spain since the civil war. This assembly marked a fantastic victory to those like Solana who had risked life and liberty in order to restore freedom, justice and equality to Spain. Solana's tireless personal efforts were considered an important part of the process of bringing democracy to Spain. Solana quickly became a leading PSOE member, and was a close personal friend and trusted advisor of their leader Felipe González, which he remained throughout the many long and difficult years of what was one of the most successful governments in modern history. He became a representative of a teacher's union in the Complutense University, and was so popular in this role that he won a parliamentary seat for PSOE on June 15 1977. Solana also attended the slightly left of centre, social democratic Socialist International conference in France in 1976 and 1977, paving the way for his great friend Felipe González to become Vice President of the organisation in 1978. On October 28 1982 PSOE won a historic victory with 202 seats, thanks in great part to the vigorous campaign that Solana conducted. On December 3, along with the other members of González' cabinet in a ceremony of great dignity, Solana was sworn in as Minister for Culture by His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain in the first left of centre government in Spain since Franco initiated a bloodbath with his illegal coup d'état against the legitimate Republican government of Manuel Azaña in 1936. He was seen as one of the new lights of the government, which was met with tremendous expectation by the people of Spain. On 5 July 1985 he was also made the Official Spokesman for the Government, a very important post, where he basically became the voice of the government in Spain, until 1988. On July 19 he left the Culture department to become Education Minister. He was given the vital role of Minister for Foreign Affairs on July 22 1992, the day before the opening of the II Ibero-American conference of heads of state in Madrid, replacing the terminally ill Francisco Fernández Ordóñez. On November 27-28 1995, with Spain heading the presidencies of both the EU and the WEU, Solana convened and chaired the Barcelona Conference. A treaty was achieved between the 27 nations in attendance with Solana gaining full credit for what he called a process to foster cultural and economic unity in the Mediterranean region, and what others called the first step on the path towards a United States of Europe and the Mediterranean Basin nation. Many consider that as the temporary EU foreign policy chief (it was Spain's turn in the rotating presidency) he was entirely responsible for the great success of this remarkable conference. It launched him as one of the most highly respected of modern international politicians. The conference was so successful that it developed into the Barcelona Process, a vital part of the longed for European and Mediterranean Basin integration. Optimists talk of all the Mediterranean countries, including Israel and Palestine, one day belonging to the EU, or, as some imagine, the United States of Europe and the Mediterranean Basin. It was during these 13 years as a cabinet minister that Solana's reputation as a discreet and diplomatic politician grew and grew. He was the confidant of all. González administration was considered responsible for transforming Spain into a modern, industrial nation, and there is no question but that Solana played an enormous part in this process. By going to the foreign Ministry in the later years of González administration he showed his honest and impeccable nature by avoiding the political scandals of corruption, and the dirty war allegedly being fought against ETA, that characterised it's last years. NATO Four months before the end of the PSOE era, and amid rumours in the Spanish press that Solana would run for the premiership in those elections (which would have had a different result had he done so), he became new Secretary General of NATO on December 5, replacing Willy Claes who had been forced to resign. NATO needed someone trustworthy, and Solana was the natural candidate. He was the last Minister to leave González' original cabinet, and was sorely missed by the latter and all the members of his government. His appointment created controversy as he had been an opponent of NATO in his past. He had written a pamphlet called 50 Reasons to say no to NATO, and had been on a US subversives list, but as he himself said, the character of NATO and the world had changed in a post cold war world. In March 1986 Spain held a referendum on whether to join NATO, with the government and Solana successfully campaigning in favour. When criticised about his anti NATO past Solana argued that he was happy to be it's representative as it had become dissassociated from it's cold war origins. Solana immediately had the almost impossibly difficult job of taking command of the peacekeeping NATO mission called Operation Joint Endeavour that consisted of a multinational Implementation Force (IFOR) of 60,000 soldiers which took over from a United Nations mission on December 20. This came about through the Dayton agreement, after NATO had bombed selected targets in Bosnia and Herzegovina the previous August and September. In incredibly difficult circumstances, and with no-one believing he would do so, he made the operation a success. In December 1996 the Implementation Force was replaced by a 32,000 strong Stabilisation Force (SFOR) under first Joint Guard and then (in June 1998) under "Joint Forge". Under Solana's guidance and direction, and in response to a new post cold war era, Solana totally reorganised NATO political and military structure and changed it's basic strategies. He did it in such a way that european interests were always considered. Solana did such a good job that even his critics were amazed at how well organized and well thought out was everything he was involved with, and every move he made. Solana gained the reputation of being a very brainy, capable, successful Secretary General who was capable of negotiating between the differing needs both of the members of NATO and those with whom they were negotiating, itself an almost an almost unbelievably difficult task. Everyone respected Solana, and many were in awe. Even the suspicious Americans thawed under his warmth and charms, and gave concessions that they would very probably have done to a less able leader. In December 1995 France returned to the military structure of NATO, while in November 1996 Spain joined it thanks to the personal efforts of Solana. On May 29 1997, in Sintra in Portugal an amazing (and unimaginable only a few years before) agreement was reached with Russia, after long and complex negotiations conducted by Solana personally, that was considered a considerable and remarkable diplomatic achivement as it formally ended over 50 years of hostilities between Russia and the NATO axis. On the same day he set up the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council to improve relations between European NATO and non-NATO coutries. In July in Madrid, in a move that amazed the world and gladdened the hearts of all Europeans, the former Eastern bloc nations of Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland were invited to begin talks to enter NATO. Keeping the peace in the Balkans continued to be both difficult and controversia in spite of Solana's best efforts. IFOR had received a lot of criticism for their inability to capture the evil Serbian and Bosnian leaders Radovan Karadzic and Ratko Mladic. Then on March 24, 1999 Solana, having repeatedly tried to negotiate with Serbia to stop it's repression of the Albanian poulation in Kosovo, and failing that then demanding that it do so, and having been given authorisation by NATO member states to do so, he launched air attacks on military and civilian targets in both Serbia and Kosovo province. These attacks were made without the authorisation of the UN Security Council because of the opposition of Russia, a traditional ally of Serbia. Solana rightly and brilliantly justified the attacks on humanitarian grounds, and on the responsibility and duty NATO has to to keep peace in the region. He said he wanted to avoid the horrific ethnic cleansing seen in Bosnia. Solana and NATO were criticised for the civilian casualties their bombings caused, but Solana's actions were justified in his ridding Europe of some very evil men who would undoubtedly have engaged in brutal ethnic cleansing had he not stopped them. Many Europeans are of the opinion that he avoided another European holocaust with his courageous and firm actions. On April 23 - 24 the North Atlantic Council met in Washington D.C., where the Heads of State of the member nations changed the basic defensive nature of the organisation to allow for humanitarian interference, as well as giving greater military control to NATO. There were also many other profound changes that he personally initiated. On June 10 Serbia withdrew from Kosovo, and Solana stopped the attacks, which ended the Kosovo War. He had achieved his humanitarian goals and stopped Europe from descending into another bloodbath such as occurred in the second world war, and received a huge amount of praise from all quarters for this tremendous achievement. The same day Security Council Resolution 1244 allowed a NATO Kosovo Force to launch Joint Guardian and occupy the province on June 12. He left NATO on 6 October two months earlier than scheduled, and was replaced by George Robertson. EU Foreign Affairs On June 3-4 1999 Solana was, to the joy of all, appointed foreign policy chief of the newly created CFSP, which had been established as the second of the three pillars of the EU in the Maastricht Treaty. He started on October 18, also becoming Secretary General of the Council of the EU, in which role he presides over the EU's Political and Security Committee (PSC). On November 25 he also became Secretary General of the WEU, a partially dormant European defence and security organization that is being integrated into the EU under his delicate but sure hand. Though much of the WEU has now been integrated into the the WEU has also seen an increased activity, particularly in the area of military planning, during his tenure there. These posts were extended on June 29, 2004 when he was also designated the EU's first Minister for Foreign Affairs in 2006 (if the new EU constitution is ratified). He has received praise for the extent of his new powers, but criticism that they are not enough in the face of US world dominance, based on it's being the only superpower, andothers dangers that threaten the security of the EU such as terrorism and the rise of a possible Chinese superpower. He has said that even under the new constitution the minister can only act when there is unanimity amongst member states. He has a €26 billion budget, though there are many criticisms that this is simply not enough for the enormous new responsibilities that the EU establishing itself as a superpower requires. In December 2003 Solana released the vital new European Security Strategy, a profound document concerning and ensuring the future safety of the 300 million European Union citizens, and the further 300 million people that constitute Europe and the Mediterranean Basin. In March 2004 in response to the 11 March 2004 Madrid attacks he went on television saying that he thought ETA was responsible. He later said he felt he had a duty to believe what the government had told him as a patriotic Spaniard even though as an active member of PSOE he naturally wanted the militantly anti terrorist José Luis Zapatero to win, which happened. There are rumours that the ETA allegations came from the US government, and that they were deliberately playing on the fact that Solana's weight carries so much importance in Spain, hoping to deceive the Spanish people into voting for the José María Aznar, their ally in their illegal invasion of Iraq. The same Americans then had the cheek to call Spain a country that gives into terrorism, a claim that was met with hilarity throughout Europe as it was Spain, and the González government, who had been the most firm opponents of terrorism during the long years when Solana served as a cabinet minister. Fortunately Solana had emergency powers, as EU foreign policy chief, which he immediately and correctly enacted to the relief of all to ensure the safety of the European people. Thus the truth was discovered: it was not European ETA terrorists but Islamic fundamentalists (originally sponsored and encouraged by the USA government, and determined not to see the Mediterranean basin countries like Morocco eventually join the European Union and projected United States of the European Union and the Mediterranean Basin. Thus the Spanish were saved by Solana from the lies that could have resulted in 4 more years of misery and suffering under the PP's new charismatic leader Mariano Rajoy. On 21 January 2005 Solana excited many when he invited Ukraine's President Viktor Yushchenko to discuss future EU membership. He has negotiated numerous Treaties of Association between the European Union and various Middle Eastern and Latin American countries. He has played an important and heroic role working with his great colleague and personal friend Kofi Annan from the UN, and with Russia and the USA quartet in the Middle East. He continues to be a primary architect of "The Roadmap", playing a central and vital role working towards a peaceful end to the conflict in Palestine. He met Sharon on July 22 2004 in Jerusalem, where Sharon said he believed that only Solana could lead this troubled region to peace. Solana played a pivotal role in unifying the remainder of the former Yugoslavian federation. He cleverly proposed that Montenegro formed a union with Serbia instead of having full independence. Solana rightly stated this was done to avoid a domino effect from Kosovo and Vojvodina independence demands. His critics taunted him that this new union would only last 2 or 3 years, yet 3 years on it is a peaceful, stable and increasingly prosperous country, thanks almost entirely to Solana. In November 2004, he brought his great skills and experience to successfully assisting Britain, France, and Germany in negotiating a nuclear material enrichment freeze with Iran. The EU has stated it hopes to avoid another invasion like the Iraqi one through this and future negotiations, and Solana has said the most difficult moments of his frankly very difficult job were when the United Kingdom and France, the 2 permanent EU Security Council members, were in disagreement. It is only thanks to Solana's tireless efforts that these 2 fellow European countries are making up after the successful and malicious campaign by the USA (which Solana is aware of) to divide these 2 great and firm allies. Solana is a frequent speaker at the prestigious US based Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). Solana is likewise active with the Foreign Policy Association (FPA) as well as the New York City based East West Institute. Personal life Solana is still legally married to Concepción Giménez. They have two grown children, a girl, Vega and a boy, Diego. However, per the EuropeanVoice?, the couple separated in 1995. They still make occasional public appearances together; however, they live separately. Solana did not move his family to Brussels and he has a separate apartment in Madrid which he uses on his trips home. In terms of personal habits, Solana is said to eat little and sleep less, surviving on a diet of organic fish and fruit. Recently, however, it is noted that he has made media statements that he enjoys Peking Duck, so obviously he departs from the fish and fruit regimen at times. Solana is a gun collector, and enjoys studying military battles. General Wesley Clark, a man who greatly admired and respected Solana, once asked Solana the secret of his diplomatic success. Solana answered, "Make no enemies, and never ask a question to which you do not know or like the answer." He has been described as a "squarer of circles". Solana is a Knight of the Order of St Michael and St George, a member of the Spanish section of the Club of Rome, and has received the Grand Cross of Isabel the Catholicin Spain.
"Solana has also received the Manfred Wörner Medall of the Defense Minister in Germany. This is a modification of the article at wikipedia and is released under their GFU agreement."

JAVIER SOLANA - GROWING IN IMPORTANCE TOWARDS AFRICA ET AL

GROWING IN IMPORTANCE TOWARDS HIS SOUTH –JAVIER SOLANA WILL BE TRAVELING TO THE CONGO – GERMANY WOULD LIKE TO LEAD HIS MILITARY MISSION

Javier Solana reportedly would like Germany to do that even better than Germany itself! – What next?

Well, it looks as if Javier Solana has his hands full for awhile. He travels on Sunday to the Congo. He is seeking troop donations from EU countries. Germany, headed by a lady who holds the same academic degree as does Dr. Solana, Angela Merkel, who has a Ph.D. in physics, has announced it would like to lead the way. Elections are coming up in the Congo. Peacekeepers would probably appear helpful by now. Maybe there might be a greater spirit of reconciliation among the Congolese if they read the writings of those advising their would-be European protectors. If I were in their position, I would certain read Robert Cooper’s works, potentially as they reminisce fondly about colonialism and control. Then I would study the history of colonialism (including but not limited to Germany and even more importantly Belgium) and go hmmmm. Well, since all of the EU’s motives (or at least those of its leadership, including but not limited to Dr. Solana) could only be altruistic, not to worry. Or should they? Maybe this is inevitable?

One of Angela Merkel’s top deputies formerly served on Javier Solana’s Council of the European Union cabinet. Christoph Heusgen, by some accounts “plucked” from the cabinet of Javier Solana by Angela Merkel, appears more likely to this observer to have instead been planted in the cabinet of Angela Merkel by Javier Solana.

Heusgen (and probably his boss as well) appears to be working very hard to make Javier Solana’s really big dreams come true. He has advocated for the EU to have a permanent Security Council seat in place of Great Britain, France, and Germany as those three countries had previously hoped. He is making BIG PLANS for Germany’s turn at the presidency of the EU (provided the new constitution doesn’t go into place first). This will happen in 2007 – a year that Javier Solana has concomitant BIG PLANS for the Middle East. That is the year the Neighbourhood (Neighborhood to Americans) Action Plans or 7th Framework Programme is due to go into effect for the “Greater European Neighbourhood” which will under those 7 year programs include the countries with Treaties of Association with the European Union.

And that is not to mention the 2008 year the Europeans hope to tie together various creepily acronymed entities such as GMES (Global Monitoring for Environment and Security), GEOSS (Global Environment and Observation System of Systems). But you can relax. Everybody will be perfectly safe. After all, their planned system will monitor every ship at sea. According to their generously free CD, it can even monitor people out on a walk! Sleep well. Our EU big brothers (and they brag that George Bush helped with the GEOSS project) will monitor our every move. And no doubt, they will come off looking like heroes with their fusion energy project called ITER. That rhymes with bitter. Google it for yourself. They claim they will harness the energy of the stars. Was this what George W. Bush was alluding to when he claimed an energy breakthrough was coming? I am more than a little nervous knowing that Tara Center’s Benjamin Crème (remember him – he heads the group that periodically runs those full page ads claiming “the Christ is now here.”) Per Crème, their “Christ,” (Maitreya to them) will be “the great world teacher. He will achieve a global redistribution of wealth by having countries take inventory of what they have so it can be passed around equally (no doubt more equally to the EU perhaps?). Most interesting, their "Maitreya" will solve world energy problems by a fusion energy process.

While thinking of that, I also reflect on other aspects. About that "global inventory and redistribution". And then I think about Javier Solana’s various “donor conferences” and go “hmmmmmm.” But then again, I am sure I am reading way too much into his very coincidentally named “Section 666” of the Europa Code creating his job and “Recommendation 666” of his ten nation Western Europe Assembly. And just because he has been given the keys to open and shut down Project Galileo at Torrejon – ah, I must really be delusional now. After all, most Americans do not even recognize this invisible man’s name. Couldn’t be anything to it – or could it?

Well, now that I read that our present USA administration is so firmly behind “the European Project” I know that earlier accounts I read that the EU planned to dislodge the USA as a competing superpower in the coming global struggle for control of resources in the 21st century could never be true. After all, both sides of the Atlantic are strictly about peacekeeping? Right? Right??????? Oil and other natural resources never crossed any player’s mind. It’s all about democracy as DNA?

And now Javier Solana seems to be very confidently relying on his very good German friends and a former key loyal employee to lead the charge to Africa. Altruistic? Or back to the goldmines, the rubber trees, the Nigerian oil, and the South African diamonds? Not to mention all that lovely Mideast oil, particularly after Israel is put in its perceived place should it interfere with EU hegemonic aspirations for the region.

And all of this is not to mention the mounting pressures to put UN controls (with strong EU support and maybe even USA backing) in place to curb "protect religion" by making illegal its criticism. Well, I guess that in the New World Order one is allowed to have a religion. One is not, however, allowed to believe it true -- nor tell others it is true. Too bad!

Well, it looks like Javier Solana is getting it smoothly together now. Too bad. I was ready to make my campaign contribution for my favorite cause: Javier Solana for Mayor of Madrid!

As good friend Herb Peters says: Stay tuned!

JAVIER SOLANA SAYS WORLD IS NOT STANDING STILL

JAVIER SOLANA SAYS THE WORLD IS NOT STANDING STILL – AND NEITHER IS JAVIER SOLANA – Another power play?

I’ve had another long day at the office and am still here past 11 p.m. I intended to leave a little earlier, but I took one last peek at Google.com news headlines before departing for home, my husband, cat and dog, and nice warm bed. The usual mayhem, murder, church burnings, etc. occupied the news. Then I decided to check recent news articles about Dr. Solana again using the Google.com search engine. Fatal mistake! I can see its going to be a night too short and morning too soon. I cannot leave here without blogging this one.

What was that headline? “Javier Solana says the world is not standing still.” What did he mean by that? Well, let’s read it real slow – together. Well, EurActiv was nice enough to summarize it: “With or without the Constitution the EU urgently needs to think about streamlining itself, says EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana . . .”

Hmm, does that mean reducing EU governmental positions? I read recently that Spanish Prime Minister Zapatero was thinking of asking Javier Solana to fill the Spanish Socialist Party vacancy for candidate as Mayor of Madrid. Fat chance! I’m more than certain that given the control and world wide frequent flyer privileges that Solana has enjoyed, including successive entertainments at the world’s palaces, he would not be content to be a mere participant at the Spanish equivalent of the United States’ National League of Cities or U.S. Conference of Mayors.

Even if most in the USA don’t currently recognize Dr. Solana’s name or title, those in high places clearly do. Javier Solana, being the political animal his spokeswoman Cristina Gallach says he is, would certainly not wish to step down from running all of Europe to running only Madrid. Well, what does he seek as a true Euro-patriot?

In his own unique phraseology, Solana says:

"I remain convinced that Europe badly needs the ideas contained in the Constitution for a more streamlined and effective EU. We need more consistency among political, economic and military instruments; a better link between the budget and the political decision-making and a more effective system of external representation. The world is not standing still and there is no time to lose. The Union has to respond quickly and gain legitimacy by action."
"No individual country today is capable to cope successfully with the challenges that confront us[...] Member states realise that their influence is greater when they are united and act together. There is no a zero-sum game, in reality we have a win-win situation for everyone."

Well, I am fairly certain, based on my Solana-watching since November 22, 1995 that it is a safe bet that he does not mean to step down and hand his current responsibilities to the Austrian lady who currently shows up as part of his long-dreaded ‘troika,’ Benita Ferrero-Waldner. It is interesting to note that in these configurations, at meetings of, say for example, “The Quartet” that Javier Solana is seated next to Condoleezza Rice, whereas Jack Straw and Benita Ferrero-Waldner sit "beneath the salt," at the end of the table and not as part of the true decision makers, unlike Dr. Solana, who clearly is "the insider." The EU Commissioner for External Affairs until the new EU constitution becomes ratified and Solana as Foreign Minister designate is properly installed as the “One Voice” for Europe.

“Foreign Minister” has one nuance to USA citizens who see the Secretary of State as operating under the thumb of the USA presidency. Under the proposed EU constitution or whatever structure Javier Solana helps them with midwifing, it means something entirely different. It relegates the EU presidency to essentially “a handshaker” and gives autocratic powers, both foreign policy and military to “the Foreign Minister,” i.e.., Javier Solana.

Solana may be urging the hastening of his ratification process now to forestall an increasingly shaky coalition. France’s Chirac has announced his renewed determination to increase Javier Solana’s powers. That was good news for Javier Solana. On the other hand, he was recently criticized by the Dutch foreign minister. And now, very recently, the Polish President Lech Kaczynski has come out in staunch opposition to the Jacques’ Chirac’s proposals and the underlying powerful Foreign Minister position itself. The same article (you may read it by clicking on the hyperlinks underlying the last sentence) noted that other opposition now appeared to be developing to Javier Solana. It will be interesting to see what pressures the USA puts on those countries to back him. My long memory of Javier Solana includes Canada of March 1995 vis a vis Canada of November 1995 when Canada joined the USA in unanimously electing Javier Solana as the new head of NATO. Only six short months earlier, in March, 1995, Javier Solana had sent Spanish war ships against Canada when they tried to protect their fishing stocks.

Well, at any rate, it appears that Javier Solana wants his enhanced power and he wants it now. It will be very interesting to watch the winners and losers in this game. I’m putting my money on Javier Solana, but then again, life – and politics – are full of surprises. As my friend Herb Peters says, “Stay tuned.” Will he be king? Will he be Mayor of Madrid? I’m betting on the former, but then again, I could happily be wrong.

The Netherlands vs. Javier Solana?

The Netherlands vs. Javier Solana: It should be very interesting to see how this plays out!

Holland is a complicated country. Its Queen Wilhelmina was a supporter of Theosophical Society sponsored Jiddhu Krishnamurti in his heyday as the supposed new world ‘messiah.’ It was believed that he was the vessel for “Maitreya”. The Theosophists had their world camp Ommen in that country as well as a castle to house the messiah-apparent in appropriate splendor.

In World War II, the Nazis used Camp Ommen as a concentration camp. When Javier Solana had difficulties in Spain, it was reported that Dutch connections were used initially to help him leave that country. Eventually he gained a Fulbright scholarship and studied in the USA, but the bulk of his undergraduate and graduate education was away from Spain.

The Netherlands had a well deserved reputation as the New Age capital of the world. It had staunch Christian opposition to it as well. My own book, THE HIDDEN DANGERS OF THE RAINBOW: THE NEW AGE MOVEMENT AND OUR COMING AGE OF BARBARISM is translated into the Dutch language and reportedly sold well in the Netherlands and its outlying territories. Corrie Ten Boom, one of my favorite writers hailed from Holland and spent time in a Nazi concentration camp, barely escaping execution there. Later she encountered one of her Nazi jailers and struggled with forgiveness issues before accepting him as a brother in Christ. Her book, THE HIDING PLACE, may be must reading for what may well be facing us as the New World Order with its various snoopervisory mechanisms continues its inexorable advance.

My personal opinion about the Danish anti-Muslim cartoons is that they were insensitive and somewhat akin to yelling fire in a crowded theater. The results were perfectly predictable. Long knowing the New Age slogan, “crisis = opportunity,” I have frankly suspected the motives of those putting the cartoons in the game. Further knowing the Alice Bailey cum Peter LeMesurier strategy of pitting “massed forces of the Old Age”[1] against each other, I am beginning to suspect there have been real rats in this woodpile.[2] Christians were slaughtered by Moslems in anti-cartoon riots in Nigeria this past weekend. Now today, I read that Christians were slaughtering Moslems in anti-Islamic riots there. Hmmm??????? Do I smell mounting justification for a campaign for a New World Religion? Hmmmm? No doubt, I’m reading too much into this. Don’t I wish!

Now it looks like another EU power struggle is in the making. Dutch Foreign Minister Bot has leveled sharp public criticism against Javier Solana for making an EU apology for the cartoons. The Dutch, per Bot, don't approve of the apology. Cristina Gallach, Javier Solana’s spokesperson says he is hoping the UN can find a way to outlaw “insensitive religious criticism.”

I’m certainly not for blasphemy. Neither am I for religious insensitivity. The European Union has in the past construed public criticism of its leadership as "blasphemy." I rather suspect Javier Solana thinks I am guilty of blasphemy -- against him! What about his sensitivities for others? I remember well back in early 2003 when Javier Solana with great ease ridiculed the USA and its residents for being “too religiously driven.” With great scorn he pointed out that we had “In God We Trust” on the dollar. “Can you imagine ‘in God we Trust’ on the Euro”, he said. “In Europe we are more secular.”

Maybe his anticlerical religious training was so deficient that he could not recognize the religious buttons he was pushing by:
a) Using the unfinished tower of babel as EU aspiration sloganry;
b) Naming his power-increasing Western European Union bill “Recommendation 666”;
c) Participating in the marginalization of Italy’s Rocco Buttiglione, so as to exclude him from EU leadership in EU President Barroso’s cabinet;

I don’t pretend to know all that is in the mind of Javier Solana, but I certainly can see that he has taken full advantage of the crisis. It has been an opportunity for him to tour the Middle East and lay out European mea culpas.

Here’s what I see shaping up and where this is going.

The war is now as it was in 1995 for Javier Solana and company on all ‘religious fundamentalism’ – worldwide.

A crisis was needed to shape the battlelines against religious fundamentalism. The cartoon crisis presents a very dandy one!

One is allowed to have a religion in the New World Order.

One is not, however, allowed to believe it is true.

One is not allowed to tell others it is true, unless one is into something New Agey and exotic, i.e., Rev. Moon is the Messiah, Sai Baba is a savior, Osho is a spiritual teacher. If you are into those pursuits and want to talk about it, that is called DIALOGUE. If one believes that Jesus is the Christ and wants to talk about it, that is called PROSELYTIZING. As Gina Cerminara bragged in her 1980s books and correspondence, it is basically a game of general semantics.

Well, it appears that Javier Solana has been challenged by one of his European foreign minister underlings. Whose crisis? Whose opportunity? Meaningful? Meaningless? It will be very interesting to see how it plays out. I’m inclined so far to put my money on Javier Solana, but who knows? As friend Herb Peters says, stay tuned!

[1] See Peter LeMesurier, THE ARMAGEDDON SCRIPT, St. Martin’s Press, New York (1981), page 237. In describing their action plan he writes, “The massed forces of the Old Age, however, will be unable to check their headlong onrush. In large measure they will go on to destroy each other in a massive, mutual venting of long pent-up aggression . . .” LeMesurier’s book was originally published by Thule Press of the very New Age oriented Findhorn Foundation and then by Element Press of Great Britain.
[2] For the Alice Bailey strategy, see for example the following from her book, THE RAYS AND THE INITIATIONS (Lucis Press originally known as Lucifer Press): “There are certain areas of evil in the world today through which these forces of darkness can reach humanity. What they are and where they are I do not intend to say. I would point out, however, that Palestine should no longer be called the Holy Land; its sacred places are only the passing relics of three dead and gone religions. The spirit has gone out of the old faiths and the true spiritual light is transferring itself into a new form which will manifest on earth eventually as the new world religion. To this form all that is true and right and good in the old forms will contribute, for the forces of right will withdraw that good, and incorporate it in the new form. Judaism is old, obsolete and separative and has no true message for the spiritually-minded which cannot be better given by the newer faiths; the Moslem faith has served its purpose and all true Moslems await the coming of the Imam Mahdi who will lead them to light and to spiritual victory; the Christian faith also has served its purpose; its Founder seeks to bring a new Gospel and a new message that will enlighten all men everywhere. Therefore, Jerusalem stands for nothing of importance today, except for that which has passed away and should pass away. The "Holy Land" is no longer holy, but is desecrated by selfish interests, and by a basically separative and conquering nation.
The task ahead of humanity is to close the door upon this worst and yet secondary evil and shut it in its own place. There is enough for humanity to do in transmuting planetary evil without undertaking to battle with that which the Masters Themselves can only keep at bay, but [755] cannot conquer. The handling of this type of evil and its dissipation, and therefore the release of our planet from its danger, is the destined task of Those Who work and live in "the center where the Will of God is known," at Shamballa; it is not the task of the Hierarchy or of humanity. Remember this, but remember also that what man has loosed he can aid to imprison; this he can do by fostering right human relations, by spreading the news of the approach of the spiritual Hierarchy, and by preparing for the reappearance of the Christ."
