RECOMMENDED READING: DARK AGENDA by David Horowitz

This will be short and sweet.  I have a new book sitting beside me, DARK AGENDA:  The War to Destroy Christian America.  The author is David Horowitz who was once a major figure on the radical left.  The Bible contains a description of the Godly King Josiah of whom it was said he walked neither to the left hand nor to the right, but strictly in the paths of the Lord.  For sure, there are traps on both sides.  I don't agree with Horowitz on everything.  He definitely does not see the same issues on Donald Trump as I have come to see, especially post January 6.

HOWEVER, with that being said, Horowitz's book on the war on monotheism, including Christians and Jews should be required reading.  When I started my research back in early 1981, one of the trends I noticed was very, very similar to what Horowitz reports.  I opened a file that I have continuously maintained thereafter -- I still have my original paper file, "War on Fundamentalism."

DARK AGENDA by David Horowitz, copyright 2018, is an excellent and disturbing summary of much that is happening.  The difference between Horowitz and myself is that I believe Trump's moves are playing right into the hands of our enemies.  In fact, many of our spiritual "New Age" entities are shaping the organizations/networks such as "Qanon" and leading Christians to do things that make us look like fair game by our enemies to rationalize our coming prophesied persecutions.

Read the book.  Take the wheat, leave any chaff, and thank God that former leftists such as Lee Penn (whose memorial mass was held in Portland, Oregon yesterday), David Horowitz, and others have repented of their former positionss and came to be active workers for God and righteousness,

Stay tuned!

Train carrying more than 30,000 gallons of PROPANE fuel derails in Florida - Hazmat crews rush to the scene after six cars overturn

A train carrying more than 30,0000 gallons of PROPANE fuel has derailed near a homeless camp near the Manatee County / Sarasota County border in Florida

Five cars were carrying sheetrock, while one of the overturned cars was carrying PROPANE

There is no indication at this time that any of the fuel is leaking, but hazmat teams are monitoring the situation

"Johns Hopkins professor Dr. Marty Makary gave an impassioned speech Tuesday about how the United States government was the “greatest perpetrator of misinformation” during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Makary was testifying before the House COVID subcommittee alongside other top medical experts."

https://dailycaller.com/2023/03/01/us-government-covid-19-misinformation-vaccines-anthony-fauci-cdc-marty-makary/

"Their testimony comes just days after the Department of Energy concluded the COVID-19 pandemic likely originated from a Chinese lab leak. The theory had been suggested several times since the beginning of the pandemic, mainly by those on the right, who were labeled “conspiracy theorists” and “fringe.”"

Some of us already understood that.
Catching holy heck for it, too.
And some will continue to deny the truth and continue to perpetuate the misinformation, and outright lies.

Our government cheated on us with the help of a lot of heavy hitters in "professional" fields.
It's no wonder some are talking of a national divorce.

1:56pm

Beside the fact Dr. Makary misrepresented the Department of Energy regarding its theory that "most likely" (and with a low degree of confidence) the origins of covid were from a lab leak and where he tried to represent that anyone that purported such were labeled "conspiracy theorists" and "fringe" when really it was just the people that claimed to KNOW it was a lab leak, despite very little evidence of such other than speculation, that were call such names there's things like prior claims made by Dr. Makary indicating that he, himself, was a long term purveyor of misinfomation which is why you have to take things said by medical journalists doctors like him, who have little knowledge of virology and epidemiology (Dr. Makary is a professor of Surgery) with a grain of salt.

On February 18, 2021 Dr. Makary wrote this article/editorial for the Wall Street Journal:

We’ll Have Herd Immunity by April: Covid cases have dropped 77% in six weeks. Experts should level with the public about the good news.

https://web.archive.org/web/20210222153056/https:/www.wsj.com/articles/well-have-herd-immunity-by-april-11613669731

Excerpt: ... My prediction that Covid-19 will be mostly gone by April [2021] is based on laboratory data, mathematical data, published literature and conversations with experts.

By February 19th 2021, there were 2.55 million covid deaths worldwide and to date there are about 7 million covid deaths worldwide so despite Dr. Malary hopeful "prediction" and misinformation he claimed to be based on science and "conversations with experts" (maybe his colleagues at Fox News?) another 4.45 million people died from Covid. He was very WRONG.

Due to the amount of times Dr. Malary has made mistakes like this above it's obvious he is one of the actual "misinformers" versus other more reasoned and professional qualified experts who surely made mistakes (not misinformation) that are only recognizable in hindsight given our current knowledge of covid. In other words, public health guidelines and decision-making rely on scientific evidence. But our lack of understanding of a novel virus that threatened to overwhelm healthcare systems compelled public health authorities to often make decisions when faced with a high level of uncertainty. For this reason, evaluating the past policies based on our current and more extensive knowledge of covid is or can be misleading.

On another note: "National divorce" I tend to agree with Dr. Makary. He and his audience clearly hate America. We could allocate to them Kansas, Oklahoma and the panhandle of Texas (so the MAGA texans have a country to go to that's still texas). Make it a MAGA white nationalist utopia. Build an impenetrable Trump wall around it to keep us Patriotic Americans out and be done with them.

Greater Panhandle.

For years Idahoans (aka Californian refugees) wanted a White Homeland and now they're toying with the Greater Idaho thing. Just great. We were looking to move to K-Falls but now she says no; I'm not moving out of Oregon. Jerks

There is a lot of BS spread here about North Idaho. Of course Satanist X knows everything there is to know in the Universe! So of course he knows everything there is to know about North Idaho too!

I moved to North Idaho in 1989. The real estate market was just off rock bottom. I bought a nice little cottage two blocks off main street in Coeur d' Alene for 23,900! Easy walking distance to downtown, beautiful Coeur d' Alene lake, the marina, and the beach! My property taxes were 224.00 a year!!!!!! Californians had been moving out of California since the 60s. In North Idaho they could buy a nice place on 20 acres for around 80,000 at the time I moved there in 1989. A no brainer really. They could sell their home in Cali for half a million, and put the rest in Apple stock! The people who were moving there were a mix of conservative 'back to the land' types, and the other kind that claimed they were abducted by aliens in a flying saucer. The people I met there were very laid back, and kind. The Hell Hole that is Cali now, make these folks who got out at an opportune time, and are living comfortable, happy, enriched lives, look like geniuses.

By the way, The Reverend Butler who ran a church in Hayden Lake was an avowed non violent 'white separatist'. The violence that took place at Ruby Ridge was the Feds assassinating an unarmed woman and her baby. The courts awarded the family a million $ in the settlement.

My wife, I, and our daughter are Jewish. I have never met nicer people in my life than those folks in North Idaho.

Geraldo Rivera came to North Idaho to expose the danger of 'white supremacy'. It was a total bust! LOL

X, you can relate to that.

I didn't comment on the "Greater Idaho initiative" but I wouldn't approve of it personally because they would have access to the Pacific Ocean and the greater world from there. Much rather have Maga self-contained in the interior of the country behind a wall preferably without head waters or any major water access and rights they could contaminate either.

Ruby Ridge? The paranoia of the Aryan Nation neo-nazi sympathizer Randy Weaver is what led to the "assassination" of his family and friends.

Coeur d' Alene: Never been there but for a small completely white town in the middle of nowhere you'd expect it to be safer.

It's above the national average for violent crime:

https://www.homesnacks.com/id/coeur-d'alene-crime/

It's 5-10 times more dangerous in every category than the diverse suburb city that I live in without all the hate. I'm glad you like it but one of the first I saw streaming on KMTV (while trying to figure out what the "Greater Idaho Initiative" even was) had a story of anti-semitic flyers being placed around Boise, Idaho and swastikas defacing an Anne Frank Memorial.

Sounds like paradise for a nice Jewish family.

To each their own. I'm glad you like it.

x

p.s.- Are you a Messianic Jew (i.e.- Jews for Jesus?) That might explain you not caring much about living among Neo-nazi's and defending the actors at Ruby Ridge.

Craig,

I can understand you being upset with Pfizer for sponsoring the Grammy Awards and I understand politically, as a antivaxer why you get off attributing a certain very demonic segment of such awards to it's sponsor...

However...by doing so you open up yourself to the same criticism.

You linked a video by Roman Balmakov from his show on Epoch TV. Epoch TV is entirely produced, funded and promoted by the Fulan Gong cult....therefore, like your inference Pfizer "sponsors" hell, you likewise sponsor cultism.

Here's just a sample...this is a part of a paragraph from FLG’s official website www.falundafa.org:

“Falun Dafa involves the cultivation of a Falun, or “law wheel.” The Falun is an intelligent, rotating entity composed of high-energy matter. The Falun that Master Li Hongzhi plants in a practitioner’s lower abdomen from other dimensions rotates constantly, twenty-four hours a day. (True cultivators can acquire a Falun by reading Master Li’s books, watching his 9-session lectures on video, listening to his 9-session lectures on audiocassette, or studying together with students of Falun Dafa.)”

So Craig, using your own (and Roman's) logic is it safe to assume you also agree with Roman's belief that high energy wheels in your lower abdomens can cleanse your body such that you can eschew modern medicine entirely or is your link just a loose association and my criticism is as much a fallacy as your inference?

X,

You've also posited a false analogy. Pfizer explicitly endorsed a skit/show/whatever designed to resemble hell. Roman is reporting this and asking for viewer feedback.

As always, the source matters not; what matters is the truthfulness of the reporting. Is there something untruthful about what Roman reported here?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Epoch_Times

https://www.theepochtimes.com/c-facts-matter?&utm_medium=Facts%20Matter&utm_source=Epochtv.com&utm_campaign=factshunter

and then there's this... an actual image of Roman Balmakov practicing Falun Dafa in a park somewhere in Brooklyn back in 2016. He was quoted in accompanying text saying:

The Brooklyn group started meeting at the Holocaust Memorial Park a year and a half ago. Every evening — rain or shine — they practice beside plaques commemorating those lost to another persecution. They work through Falun Dafa’s exercises and movements to traditional music for about two hours as they try to block out the world around them and focus on achieving harmony — and the health benefits are real, said organizer Roman Balmakov.

“It’s benefited my life, just extremely, in so many different ways — health-wise, the clarity of my mind, I’ve improved my relationship with my family a lot,” he said.

Source: https://www.brooklynpaper.com/contemplating-freedom-boros-banned-in-china-meditation-sessions/

Another source includes an image of Roman standing at a podium behind a Nazi symbol had this summary:

Roman Balmakov was an American journalist who served as a Senior Account Executive and Account Manager for the advertising department at The Epoch Times, a conservative newspaper owned by the Chinese Falun Gong cult. Balmakov went to school in Ohio, graduating from Beachwood High School and then from Daytona State College, receiving a law degree. He then became an adherent of Falun Gong (along with his wife Christine Yee-Le Lin) and worked as a newspaper deliveryman for The Epoch Times for several years, claiming that his newspaper was "a shining golden light" and that he "felt his soul to th sky" while biking down his delivery route. In 2020, he received attention from The New York Times and other news outlets after Epoch Times ads promoting anti-Democratic Party and anti-China conspiracy theories were banned from Facebook, only to shift to having a frequent presence in YouTube ads

Craig at 7:32pm said: Pfizer explicitly endorsed a skit/show/whatever designed to resemble hell.

Proof please.

I see this.... The Recording Academy® announced today that IBM, Google Pixel, Mastercard, GREY GOOSE, Amazon Music, JBL, City National Bank, United Airlines, Hilton, People, Frontera, FIJI Water, and SiriusXM will serve as the official partners for the 65th Annual GRAMMY Awards®

Source: https://www.recordingacademy.com/press-releases/65th-grammy-awards-partners

I'll help you out in that I do believe Pfizer was a lesser corporate sponsor down the list from these official corporate partners who directly provided services. As such there is no evidence Pfizer exercised any creative control, approval or "endorsement" of any particular skit or segment of the actual show. Mere placement of a logo and indication of general sponsorship by the Pfizer isn't and hasn't ever been in the control of the actual sponsors. It's a production. Commercials and sponsorships are slotted by the salespeople selling the ads and sponsorships.

Therefore, yes, serial disinformer Roman Balmakov's implication that Pjizer specifically sponsored, approved, developed and endorsed that specific performance by Sam Smith is a lie and just as much of a reach as me saying you are "sponsoring" Falun Gong by linking vidoes by cultist, Roman Balmakov.

and then click "contact us" at the bottom eventually you'll get an email prompt to email the show at...

epochtv@epochtimes.com [undefined:epochtv@epochtimes.com]

At this point...if you still doubt Roman is a Falun Gong practitioner who "volunteers" his services and life to the cult and such cult owns/controls the Epoch Times and, by extension, all it's various subsidiaries and sub-domains such as Epoch TV, New Tang Dynasty, etc (as outlined in the diagram above)...I would ask you for proof it's not an evil cult worshiping a false god, Li Hongzhi.

Are you a member of Falun Gong?

X,

I didn't and don't watch the Grammy's, so I would have no way of knowing that it was sponsored by Pfizer--as Roman claims: "..If you stick around to the end of the performance, you learn that the entire thing was actually sponsored by Pfizer." So "official partners" could mean something different than "sponsor" here. Can you refute that Pfizer did not sponsor "the entire thing", in this case meaning the show/skit/whatever?

Craig said...

X,

If you go here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Li_Hongzhi

The exact financial and structural connections between Falun Gong, Shen Yun, and The Epoch Times remains unclear.

So, it appears you are unable to substantiate your claim that The Epoch Times is "is entirely produced, funded and promoted by the Fulan Gong cult". So, will you stop lying about it?

Anonymous said...

Craig,

The EXACT financial and structural connections between epoch times, Fulan Gong, it’s leader and it’s various shell companies and associations remain unclear but the relationship to Fulan Gong is absolutely and abundantly clear. In other words, Saying it’s unknown exactly is not proof of them having no known relationship with one another.

You are not that daft.

And I didn’t say Roman was incapable of reporting any truths or quasi-truths (though he certainly has a history of disinformation which should make anyone skeptical of his/their journalist integrity) only that his implication that Pfizer sponsoring the Grammys, in its entirety, means they endorsed sam smith’s demonic performance specifically is akin to saying you, Craig, support and endorse the Fulan Gong when you “sponsor” links to their cult disinformation websites.

Again, are you a member or sponsor of the Fulan Gong? Surely your defending them is an indication of membership or hinting at such (that’s what everyone concludes about me when I contradict alt-right lies posted here).

Craig said...

X,

Stop with the straw-manning already. This is your tactic when you get called out for making unsubstantiated statements as absolutes. For example, you wrote: ...only that his implication that Pfizer sponsoring the Grammys, in its entirety...

That is NOT what Roman stated at all (nor what I claimed he had said). His claim was that it was this particular PART of the Grammys that was sponsored by Pfizer.

You wrote: Surely your defending them is an indication of membership or hinting at such (that’s what everyone concludes about me when I contradict alt-right lies posted here).

"Everyone"? Do you mean me? Oh, you're being hyperbolic, and you don't mean to include me.

Boy, you sure do like to troll.

Anonymous said...

Craig at 10:37

Stop straw manning me. That seems to be your go to when you get called out for promoting and defending cults and disinformation.

Btw, That’s exactly the disinformation. Balmakov and others on social media tried to imply Pfizer was a specific sponsor of of that particular segment, versus just being one of many sponsors of the whole show simply because they were given acknowledgement as sponsors of the whole 3.5 hour long show after that particular segment. There is no evidence Pfizer sponsored just a specific skit/Sam smith satanic performance or had influence, knowledge or control over such performance or performances.

X

Craig said...

X,

Again, you straw-man: ...promoting and defending cults...

I never promoted nor defended ANY cult. I merely provided a source of information. Then, I merely challenged your statement about said source--your typical genetic fallacy false argument.

And, you have no evidence that Pfizer didn't merely sponsor that segment. Since you are making the counter-claim it's incumbent upon YOU to provide that evidence.

x

Craig said...

X,

Here's the thing. You can go on and on about Roman and/or The Epoch Times, but it really doesn't matter. The Epoch Times and Roman Balmakov are sources for information. They stand or fall on the veracity of said information. Unless the particular article/segment is speaking about Fulan Gong, a known association (however strong or tenuous) here, we have no reason a priori to assume the information is biased or faulty. If one thinks the info lacks veracity, then it is incumbent on that person to illustrate this lack. Accusations sans proof mean nothing.

It's the same with any source.

We've been round this subject many times here. I don't understand why you persist in attacking the messenger (whether individual or medium). Why not legitimately just challenge/rebut the message, sans the extra 'noise' you typically provide? Frankly, anything beyond a legitimate rebuttal is trolling.

Craig said...

X @ 11:23 PM,

Craig,

So you are confirming that the simply act of promoting a particular link to a Fulan Gong website doesn't make you a sponsor of their cult or overall supporter of everything and anything promoted by such organization and its many affiliates, just as Pfizer isn't responsible for a particularly distasteful performance by Sam Smith simply because they sponsored and promoted a 3.5 hour long annual Grammy's Award Ceremony.

Here's a fact check on the matter of pfizer sponsorship. I suppose they could lie about it but that would make them MAGA so I doubt it. Prove them/me wrong.

Did Pfizer Sponsor the 2023 Grammy Awards?: Contrary to rumor, the company sponsored the entire ceremony, not any specific performance.

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/pfizer-sponsor-sam-smith-kim-petras-grammys/

excerpt: ..."We sponsored the overall Grammy's event, but not any specific performance," said Steven Danehy, Pfizer's director of global media relations, in an email to Snopes. "So, no, Pfizer did not specifically sponsor that individual performance."

x

Anonymous said...

11:28

Now you're just trolling.

I walked you into the corner of your logic.

If Pfizer's loose association, via a general sponsorship of the Grammy's in it's entirely (along side many corporate partners), with Sam Smith's demonic disgusting performance makes Pfizer evil somehow, then your loose association with the Fulan Gong, via Roman Balmakov, likewise implicates you in their demonic disgusting cult.

You can backtrack at any time.

x

Craig said...

First a comment: the bold is yet to be proven, so I do not accept it.

Providing a link to a particular message/article is NOT tantamount to supporting any sort of ideology SEPARATE AND APART from the message/article. It’s merely supporting the point made in that particular message/article. SPONSORING--in effect PAYING for--a particular performance IS strong support for the message conveyed BY that particular performance.

So, here’s the bottom line. IF you can prove Pfizer was ‘merely’ a supporter of the entire event rather than just this ‘hell’ segment, then you have a point. Until then, you have no point. And even then, it’s not as if Pfizer gets absolved en toto. The Grammys have gotten more “distasteful” over the years, and ANY support is suspect in my book. You may not care for The Epoch Times, but I feel quite sure they would NEVER sponsor the Grammys in any shape or form.

I flipped through the entire 196 page Grammy's program and not one mention of Pfizer.

https://issuu.com/afmla/docs/grammys65_digital?fr=sMzk1NzI1NzM4MjU

I think their relationship was with CBS versus the Grammy's and instead of running ads and competing with other "advertisers" they just "sponsored" the entire broadcast.

Here's the breakdown of the Grammy's 2022 advertising:

https://trulyexperiences.com/blog/2023-2023-grammy-awards-facts-trends-statistics/#Advertising-At-The-Grammys

"Sponsorship" would have cost a pretty penny, for sure. I can't find the entire 2023 Grammy's broadcast (including commercials and the commericial break) to know how many other pharmaceutical companies or other companies paid to also "sponsor" the broadcast, if any, but there's no way Pfizer spent $100 million to completely and solely "sponsor" the broadcast alone....let alone be granted control or production rights over the content of the show and/or any performance therein.

Pfizer also sponsored the Grammy's in 2022 as well as the Oscars.

I think they stepped into this area because if it wasn't for the vaccines, these award shows (at least in 2022) likely wouldn't have occurred absent the vaccine (which is good press for them) as we were all getting back to normal in 2022 thanks, in part, to the vaccines.

It's still find it funny to see evil alt right media reach to tie Sam Smith to Pfizer as though Pfizer and their marketing executives connived and conspired to specifically sponsor a stupid demonic-styled stage performance by a 2nd rate performer and his tranvestite friend. Y'all armchair cultural warriors draw more attention to it --- platforming satan (which I guess makes sense - I never would have known about it had you not shared it).

X,

You wrote: I flipped through the entire 196 page Grammy's program and not one mention of Pfizer . . . I think their relationship was with CBS versus the Grammy's and instead of running ads and competing with other "advertisers" they just "sponsored" the entire broadcast.

You think, eh? Well "I think" it could be that Pfizer sponsored ONLY one section, which is the one we saw, and then they cut to local advertisements before resuming. If so, other sponsors would have paid for other sections before cutting to local affiliates.

I think it fair to say you don't know. And I don't know. Maybe Roman is right.

I think it is fair to say that X is a troll at this blog because no self-respecting responsible person running a business has the time and focus to fight day and night flipping through 196 pages to make some non-existent point to defend a mega drug cartel such as Pfizer unless they are paid/compensated to do so.

Anonymous said...

Craig,

That makes no sense. They advertised at the Oscars and the Grammy's in previous years and there is no history of ANYONE advertising just one artist or segment of the show.

There is nothing in Roman's report to indicate they had special knowledge of the relationship so it's just obvious bloviating by an alt-right cult "infotainer" that will say anything for attention.

Here's a pharmecuetical industry marketing discussion of the ad spends during this years Grammy's. Pfizer is discussed but nothing about a special amount, or individual segment "sponsorship" is mentioned.

Source: https://www.fiercepharma.com/marketing/pharma-sings-its-supper-astrazeneca-eli-lilly-pfizer-and-more-spend-big-drug-ads-grammys

There is nothing, other than happenstance that a logo and voice over indicating general sponsorship of the Grammy's (broadcast) by Pfizer which just so happened to have aired after Sam Smith's performance and leading into the commerical break indicating it's associated.

Maybe you can find an association between Pfizer and Sam Smith or that Pfizer went to special lengths to set up or pay for that segment's stage production costs? There would be SOMETHING showing a relationship with that segment versus a general sponsorship, like many other corporate partners, advertisers and/or sponsors.

There's no way an institution like the Grammy's or the Oscars is so desperate for sponsorship and advertising dollars that they'd give creative veto rights to such productions like it's the 1960's Bozo the Clown operation brought to you by Jiff, choosey mothers choose Jiff.

What does it mean to "partner" with the 65th Annual GRAMMY Awards®, if not providing sponsorship, i.e., MONEY. If Pfizer was not listed, couldn't there be others not listed?

The bottom line is you have no proof for the assertions you made.

By consistently pointing out alt-right lies, it is my hope to break through the cognitive dissonance of the many qanon, maga, alt-right, faux-religious right, white nationalists and/or nazi adherents and/or sympathizers that come through here thinking it's OK to lie for greater political purposes.

My "defense" of Pfizer, Gates, Democrats, Soros, etc is as happenstance as Craig's "defense" of Fulan Gong.

It's ironic because the GOP is largely responsible for the Corporate takeover (by mega-corporations like Pfizer) of US politics (think Citizens United) which they now rail against as part of "them", the liberals and/or the elistists they rail about as taking over "their" country (as though they are exclusively patriotic - in spite of supporting an insurrection)

The GOP portrays itself as the capitalist and libertarian party but now they hate capitalists (bankers, Jews, and pharma while still loving big oil) and they ban books, and they initiate the destruction of public schools, state take-over of local politics, while also orchestrating and celebrating the public take over of things like Disney's Reedy Creek Improvement District (thereby relieving Disney of over a billion dollars of debt which is now on the Florida taxpayers).

The GOP and its sycophants have lost their way and as a Republican I hope they get it back OR we bring Christ to the Democrat party and abandon the fascist right altogether.

‘They Lost A F*ckload Of Credibility’: Joe Rogan Slams CNN Over COVID Claims

Joe Rogan blasted CNN in a conversation with Russell Brand on his podcast Thursday.

Rogan accused CNN of altering a video he took of himself while he had COVID-19. “They changed my filter and turned me yellow on television? They took the original video of me and ran it through a filter to make me look horrible. They did some wild sh@t! But that wild sh@t cost them their credibility,” Rogan said.

He also lambasted the network’s framing of antiviral drug Ivermectin as horse medicine. Rogan slammed CNN for “calling it horse dewormer when it is a drug that won the Nobel Prize” and is “on the World Health Organization’s list of essential medicines.”

It’s not the first time the chart-topping podcaster has leveled the charge against CNN. Rogan famously pressed CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Sanjay Gupta on the topic when he appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience in 2021. Rogan asked Gupta if it bothered him that the news network he worked for lied about ivermectin.

“They shouldn’t have said that,” Gupta responded.

Rogan also presented a theory of why CNN continued to push the horse medicine narrative. “They were calling that horse dewormer to try and mock me because they knew that I was unvaccinated and I kicked COVID very quickly and they did not want that narrative out there,” he said.

“They were beholden to their handlers. They were beholden to the people that give them exorbitant amounts of money
[e.g.: Pfizer] in advertising revenue and they f*cking followed in line, and they all piled on and they lost a f*ckload of credibility from it,” Rogan added.

The podcaster also said that, although he used to watch CNN often, he now regards it as “just a propaganda network.”

Using your often relied upon logic...

But isn't ivermectin, in fact, a horse dewormer?

It's not really a lie and considering how ineffective ivermectin was known to be by Oct 2021 when that article came out, ridiculing Joe Rogan (and his hurt feelings about such) kind of tracks, right?

I mean here's this uneducated COMEDIAN taking a dewormer, prophylactically, to magically prevent covid, who also declares to the world he is doing so... thereby himself influencing thousands of others to risk their lives and rely on snake oil to protect them (no need for any other precautions)...who then gets Covid and wonders why people make fun of him.

We've sure learned a lot (some of us have) since Oct 2021.

You realize Russell Brand is an idiot too, right?

Brand started showing signs of bipolar disorder and other mental illness as early as age 11 when he was treated for severe depression. In his teens, he developed an eating disorder and addiction to heroin and crack cocaine.

He was kicked out of Theatre High School in London for drug use and attendance issues. I wonder how many drugs you have to do to get booted from Theatre school.

But get this...in 2016 Brand actually went to college...

[Brand] is now focusing on education and has enrolled at SOAS, London University’s School of Oriental and African Studies, to study Religion in Global Politics. ‘I am very interested in the role that religion and spirituality will play in the further formulation of world events and how secular societies are held together,’ he says. ‘The old idea [about politics] is dead and people don’t know what’s replacing it yet, so I’m spending some time discovering what it is. I’d like to understand what the deep truths are of Islam, Bahá’ísm, Christianity; I want to know more.’

Source: https://www.standard.co.uk/esmagazine/russell-brand-on-trolls-studying-at-soas-and-becoming-a-dad-a3372441.html

So now that Brand is "educated"...you must hate him too, right?

Sidenote: If it's so easy to fool intelligent people than how much easier it must be to fool idiots. Maybe we could start off by telling them they are REALLY the smart people.

X,

Deriding ivermectin as a "horse paste"--with no other qualifiers--strongly implies that is its only function and that it is NOT intended for humans. At least Gupta admitted to Rogan that was not correct and not right of CNN. Yet that was the point of CNN's campaign for Pfizer et al--to deride/ridicule it so others would be dissuaded from using it as a possible treatment for CV19.

Most of the 'studies' for ivermectin as CV19 treatment were intended to fail. An analogy would be Tamiflu. Docs will tell you that at/after a certain point Tamiflu provides no benefit. You need to take it in the early stages of the flu, otherwise it's for nought. Same applies to ivermectin. But the studies for ivermectin largely failed to get test subjects in the early stages and/or didn’t control/account for this.

Regarding using it as a prophylactic, we all know that prophylactics are not 100% effective. This is not unlike most ALL treatments generally.

Do you have evidence of such?

I don't work for Pfizer and I made fun of people taking an unproven dewormer to prevent and treat covid. Ivermectin in no way "competes" with Pfizer any more than something like diatomaceous earth. It didn't need a "campaign" against it's use. Vaccines aren't "treatments". If Ivermectin showed early signs of really HELPING (even you acknowledge "nothing is 100% effective) there'd be no problem allowing or recommending such treatment ON TOP OF vaccines for prevention and lowering the societal burden of covid (excess hospitalizations and deaths).

Serious question and a weakness not often addressed: From a public health standpoint.... How effective does a medication need to be before implementing it as a population-wide public health policy prophylactically? How much benefit would be necessary to prophylactically "pre-treat" 350 million American? Where would we get that much ivermectin? Sure it's relatively cheap...now, when it's primarily used for horses (in America). Would such "ivermectin program" interfere with the more effective (already proven effective) vaccines?

To date...ivermectin hasn't produced any significant measurable results anywhere that I'm aware of. Some of those "frontline doctors" WERE in hospitals treating covid at various stages of illness ...if it "worked" at even a 10 or 20% clip other doctors would have gotten on board and the word would have spread because real doctors treating real patients dying miserably gasping for air would have tried anything if they thought it really might work.

Personally I wish ivermectin or something worked. Now that Covid is endemic and I don't feel any need to continue vaccinating, it'd be nice to have a more effective treatment for all corana type viruses (even the common cold).

I keep my Vitamin D levels well above 50 nmol/L (20 ng/mL) by getting regular sunshine golfing and/or by sunbathing for 15 minutes a day at high noon about twice a week over the summer then I tan in a tanning bed in my basement about once a week from Autumn to Springtime.

Dietary vitamin D3 is in my multi-vitamin (it's a better alternative than nothing) but, in my opinion, it's not as effective for overall health as ultra-violet light.

Craig said...

X,

Do you routinely check your D levels? I don’t; I really cannot afford to.

In any case, it seems to me 20 ng/mL is a bit low. You might want to aim for 50ng/mL (and maybe that’s what you mean by “above 50 nmol/L (20 ng/mL)”, i.e., your levels are maybe much higher e.g. 40 ng/mL?). Dr. Eric Berg (yeah, a chiropractor, but he’s very self-studied in nutrition) states that the recommendation is 40–60 ng/mL. And he claims the way to get there is by supplementing with 10,000 IU (250 mcg) D3—assuming one doesn’t get much/enough sun, etc.:

How Much Vitamin D Do I Need? SURPRISING

On the one above, note that Dr. John Campbell is currently the top commenter.

Berg also recommends supplying D3 with the requisite amount of K (most multivitamins have an inadequate amount of D3 AND the wrong correlating amount of [or no] K), in order to properly absorb the D3 and to stave of hypercalcemia:

Get the Benefits of Vitamin D Without the Toxicity

He also points out warning signs of D deficiency—and how Big Medicine tends to treat the indicators (band-aid solution) rather than the root problem.

Craig,

Yes...I mispoke. I looked up the numbers and it didn't provide the measurement so I googled and came up with that thinking that was the goal versus the minimum.

Over 5 years I took 3 vitamin D tests at my annual physical in late January/early february and averaged 53.1 (standard range being 20-80). They weren't that expensive. $10 or so along with my standard bloodwork to see if my system worked better than pumping VD3 supplements.

So upon further reading I believe those numbers are averaging 53.1 ng/ml and that's my minimum year round as I get more sun in the summer months.

Military Veteran Who Allegedly Wanted To 'Wipe Out' Jews Convicted In Capitol Attack

https://www.yahoo.com/news/military-veteran-allegedly-wanted-wipe-170829451.html

Excerpt: A military veteran accused of telling an undercover FBI agent about a plan to “wipe out” the nation’s Jewish population was convicted on Tuesday of storming the U.S. Capitol to stop Congress from certifying President Joe Biden’s 2020 electoral victory.

A federal judge heard trial testimony without a jury before convicting Virginia resident Hatchet Speed, a former U.S. Naval reservist who was assigned to an agency that operates spy satellites. U.S. District Judge Trevor McFadden is scheduled to sentence Speed on May 8 for his role in a mob’s attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

McFadden convicted Speed of all five charges in his indictment, including a felony count of obstructing an official proceeding, the Jan. 6 joint session of Congress for certifying the Electoral College vote. The judge also convicted Speed of four misdemeanors.

The FBI recorded Speed’s conversations with the undercover agent more than a year after the riot. Speed told the agent that he marched to the Capitol with members of the far-right Proud Boys extremist group, authorities said.

Speed also spewed antisemitic rhetoric linked to his dislike for government, according to prosecutors. They argued that Speed’s hateful ideology helps explain why he joined the Capitol attack.

Speed was “deeply worried about a Biden presidency” and believed false claims that the 2020 presidential election had been stolen from Donald Trump, the Republican incumbent, prosecutors wrote in a court filing. They said Speed expressed his admiration for Adolf Hitler and told the undercover agent that he believes Jewish people control Biden, a Democrat. “Speed saw the Jews as ‘everywhere,’ fighting to destroy Christians, and he was not willing to sit by,” prosecutors wrote.... Speed was arrested in June 2022 on riot-related misdemeanor charges. A grand jury later indicted him on the felony obstruction charge.

...

Around 3 p.m. [Jan 6], Speed entered the building through a door to the Senate wing of the Capitol after other rioters breached it. He remained inside the Capitol for roughly 40 minutes. After leaving, he texted another rioter that he had “backed out” after hearing that the “vote had been postponed.” “In other words,” prosecutors wrote, “because Speed thought he succeeded in obstructing the certification, he left the U.S. Capitol Building.”

An undercover FBI agent, posing as “a like-minded individual,” met with Speed at least three times in March 2022 and April 2022. The FBI recorded their discussions of his motives and actions on Jan. 6. “Speed wanted to stop that certification. He left the U.S. Capitol only because he believed he succeeded in that effort,” prosecutors wrote. During the recorded conversations, Speed also “outlined a plan to enlist Christians to wipe out the country’s entire Jewish population.”

“To defeat the Jewish threat and topple the government, Speed told the (agent) that a violent response was necessary — and that the Jews stood in the way,” prosecutors wrote.
