It's certainly some odd wording. My best guess is it's an incomplete answer, bad answer and/or maybe missing a sentence. If taken in context with the immediately preceding question and answer (provided below), it's very clear the formulations are the exact same (they basically repeat that answer) so that's obviously not what your Q&A answer means in the 2nd sentence by "certain differences". Also, notice this question IS specifically asking about Comirnaty interchangeability with OTHER Covid-19 vaccines, not just talking about its own.
If not just a horrible answer, what might they mean?
1. They could be saying either the Comirnaty and Pfizer-BioNtech Covid-19 ARE legal distinct with certain differences (not formulation, but, the labels, inserts and approval letters will be different), or
2. maybe the second sentence is saying both Pfizer products are legal distinct from Moderna & JJ but very similar with just "certain differences" they don't want to discuss too much right now because they hope you consider taking Pfizer anywhere you wish in your personal vaccination series of shots. Then they add in the next paragraph to say they have no data on the interchangeability to cover their butts.
*Why so confusing? This might be intentional. My wife and I received the Pfizer vaccine in Round 1 and 2; and when we get the booster, currently they are advising recipients to stick with the same brand. Over the last month there has been more and more conversation about mixing and matching providing better protection and I think, in consult with our physician, my wife and I will be getting the Moderna booster. It's a stronger dose and will last longer. My point in mentioning that is I think Pfizer's answer above may be purposefully obtuse because they can't yet encourage anyone to mix and match but as the first approved booster vaccine...they won't mind a bit if people do.

Again...this is another website passing along disinformation by cherry-picking one seemingly favorable data point from a 28 page UK Health Covid-19 Surveillance report update dated Oct 14, 2021 that was otherwise very clearly demonstrating/evidencing the substantially increased risks of hospitalization and death of those NOT being vaccinated. Do "cases" matter all that much when in that same 40-49 year old group they documented they were 4 times more likely to need emergency care and died at 5 times the rate of vaccinated cases. Further, it frankly makes a lot of sense that the UNvaccinated case numbers would be low considering these persons are the least likely to get tested at all unless and until they are deathly sick.

p.s. - The Taiwan stat is bullcrap too since deaths reported to their vaccine adverse reaction reporting database aren't necessarily entirely caused by the vaccine, they just correspond in time and get reported as possible events and are investigated and analyzed to look for anomalies. This is further complicated by the fact Taiwan administered a newly licensed and emergency-approved vaccine called, Medigenvac, in large numbers and immediately reported 7 deaths, perhaps associated with such new vaccine. Further, the only reason it's anywhere close to Covid deaths in the first place is that Tiawan did a bang-up job of reducing cases and deaths throughout the first part of this pandemic. Taiwan is a country of 23 million plus citizens and they have had only 16,000 cases and 846 deaths the entire pandemic which ranks them 182 out of 223 nations with a 35 per 1 Million population death rate. No where is it reported there are anything remotely like 846 deaths caused by the vaccine. Up until May 17th, Taiwan only had about 1,100 cases and 12 deaths the entire pandemic before the Delta variant wave hit a largely unvaccinated population.

I didn't really look at it that way but still believe you and whoever you mentioned above are incorrect about it making any difference between CICP and VICP.
No Covid-19 vaccine is currently eligible for VICP the category entirely remains in CICP compensation program.
Comernity's approval for adults and for kids could now make Pfizer's interchangeable vaccines eligible for the better VICP compensation program yet still requires HHS/Congress actions to make it so. Congress has to initiate the $.75 excise tax and HHS finalizes approval putting the it on the VICP.
I don't anticipate them doing this just for Pfizer's one product versus doing it for the entire category and even if they did do it for just one product I don't see HHS/Congress differentiating between Comernity and the non-branded Pfizer product.

Maybe there are some "legal differences" regarding liability or something within the CICP but I don't initially see any difference there.
Where there could be a difference, might apply to any Comernity and/or Pfizer bioNtech Covid-19 that was purchased by health systems prior to the %.75/dose tax? Might only taxed doses be covered...is Pfizer already paying the $.75 tax on one of them?
According to Wikipedia, "since 1988, the program has been funded by an excise tax of 75 cents on every PURCHASED dose of covered vaccine."
I don't think anyone is paying taxes when they haven't even been passed by Congress, but, maybe once it's approved for VICP, there could be doses of non-branded Pfizer vax that are out there that weren't taxed by the excise tax and will end up uncovered?
I don't know how the system handles any vaccine and the transition from CICP to VICP but that's neither here nor there today since both formulations are interchangeable today and both remain under the CICP today.

p.s. - I did read on VICP a little further and believe once a category of vaccines is covered, anyone that receives a dose thereafter is covered by VICP. The excise tax is about funding and not attached to any particular dose. So, I believe, any remaining Comernity or Pfizer BioNtech Covid-19 vials remaining and adminstered after approval of the category would both be covered.
On the other hand, if the HHS final approval for VICP specifically only covers Comernity, after such approval it might be wise THEN to only take that shot and not the un-branded uncovered at that time Pfizer- BioNtech shot.

My feeling is that I am often matching the tone in here (not your tone, Craig) and demonstrating how easy it is for another Christian with a more moderate political ideology to smear in the exact opposite political direction AND, yet, still look at the data and offer counter-points, links and evidence contrary to such interpretation of the data. For example, I have at times satirically "smeared" others here with the Marxist label because it's ironic to use it against them in the same ridiculous manner they misuse the label against any and all moderate positions.
Climate Change is a highly politicized area of science. I see Tony Heller/Steven Goddard as an ideologue whose interpretations and attempts at refutation of others' works is completely motivated by his political beliefs. He may get a few things right but his motivations allow him to overstate his observations to the point it undermines his credibility.
That's not to say I'm a complete climate change wonk either. I see the political risks, motivations and ramifications that motivate the over-selling of fears over climate change too. "Environmentalists" like Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. are not exactly trustworthy persons at all either.
I think our younger generation has been oversold climate change to the point they are fearful to have children of their own. But is it the climate change science or the politics over climate change that makes it more fearful than it needs to be??

In many respects our waterways are much more clean APPEARING than they were 60 years ago or so; but the unseen chemicals and microscopic plastics aren't an issue. The clean water act did wonders; however, corporations just polluted the land instead of the water (which eventually makes it's way into water but often that takes years).
I'm alt-middle on climate change and open to persuasion. I am not an expert. I don't mind doing some things that are less injurious to the environment and helping other countries decades behind us in industry and technology avoid making some of the mistakes we already made....to some point.
Corporations have so infiltrated our government on both sides of the aisles to such an extent I don't see the US being over-zealous on environmental issues anytime soon.

The May 25, 2020 death of Saint George Floyd might be likened to a massive geological upheaval —a 9.0 Richter scale earthquake accompanied by volcanic eruptions everywhere. The initial shockwave brought hundreds of destructive riots with aftershocks of black-on-black crime, calls for defunding the police, demands for yet more Critical Race Theory and similar anti-white indoctrination, the 1619 Project, rampant white self-flagellation and supercharging the already in progress corporate wokeness. Meanwhile, like volcanic ash falling from the sky, billions of dollars have arrived to fight racial injustice, particularly from big-time philanthropies.
Aftershocks will undoubtedly continue—witness recent waves of industrial level shoplifting and the rampant street crime resulting from the ending cash bail. Nevertheless, not everything is headline news or eye-catching violence. The great sage Yogi Berra once said that you can see a lot by looking around, and this adage certainly applies to what you see when just travelling around.
In April 2021 as the COVID restrictions were initially lifted, I treated myself to an expensive (at least for me) trip to Miami Beach. I knew full well about recent black violence there, but I figured that a city so dependent on tourism cannot afford further racial disorders and going in April would avoid partying college students.
What I unexpectedly encountered was a stunning display of conspicuous consumption among young blacks. To be sure, blacks have long shown a fondness for showy materialism. According to one study, for example, an African American family matched with a comparable white family spent about 25 percent more of its income on jewelry, cars, personal care, and apparel. Still, what I encountered had a spontaneous dancing-in-the-streets victory celebratory air about it as if some great enemy had finally been defeated.
These were not families on holidays nor were they college kids on spring break expropriating government funded Pell grants. Not a single college logo or other signs of college kids behaving badly. Nor did these black revelers appear to be children of doctors and lawyers who typically favor “waspy” brands such as Ralph Lauren. In dress and mannerism nearly all appeared to be lower class youngster from the hood, and so the obvious question was, where is this cash coming from? Had they saved their money for one grand party week? Were easy-to-acquire credit cards funding the festivities? Conceivably, millions in philanthropic and corporate donations intended to achieve racial justice had been quickly converted into party money, but by what mechanism? I have no idea, but whatever the lucre’s source, it was being spent freely.
The most obvious display of extravagance was the daily parade of exotic cars up and down Collins Ave., sound-system blasting away, often with revved up motors and squealing tires. To be sure, parading tricked-out cars in Miami Beach is a long tradition but past cavalcades always featured beautifully restored old classics like two-tone Oldsmobiles or Chevys from the 1950s. crawling along to impress onlookers. No need for wheelies or booming stereos—the car itself was the object of attention.

I would hate to see that happen because without the benefit of commenting, we would lose the sense of community and the ability to learn from and/or influence others. How ironic that the unvaccinated are protected from higher insurance premiums under Obamacare.
I wonder if just a $3000 to $5000/person annual vaccine exemption tax would help defray these extra costs on society and give those that choose to remain unvaccinated without a sound medical excuse the opportunity to avoid taking entitlements and/or handouts when their time comes. Spread the risk across the unvaccinated populations who voluntarily choose to risk $20,000+ hospitalizations versus $40 vaccinations.
Another alternative would be to remove it from their social security savings account and reduce their or their survivor benefits according to some kind of formula.
I'd be fine with some kind of antibody testing or 12-month deferral for those who previously had covid and remain with sufficient immunity to defer the tax each year.
Unvaccinated children aren't as likely to need hospitalization so their annual exemption could be reduced by maybe 50% of such tax annually.

Apostates add and take away from the Gospel of the Lord Jesus, setting up earthly concerns, idols of their own making and views in place of Him, giving glory to those things instead of all glory belonging to God in the person of His Son Jesus.
Lives, minds and hearts, changed by the power of Christ's forgiveness, can then go live out that message in the world, being personally, individually, the change the world needs to see.
Religion may change outward behavior, but faith in Christ changes the person, enthrones Jesus as Lord inside the life of the believer with the power to change themselves, and impact the world outside, to the glory of God.

It might be hard to tell all the numbers because even the article above acknowledges the Amish don't submit to Covid testing and prefer to treat (and often die) at home versus the hospital. That might be one reason Lancaser County General Hospital only reports 425 total deaths compared to the dashboard indicating 1302.

That said: I, myself, imagine the Amish lifestyle likely impacts their survival percentages. My guess is they have low obesity rates, eat a healthier diet, get more exercise and have much better Vitamin D levels, thus more healthy on average and likely to survive a round of Covid. However, to any extent herd immunity ever ends up "working" for them, it's not really apples to apples to say it may then work population-wide.
I did see one article indicating many Amish are secretly out getting vaccinated on the down-low. That's a good sign.

I've known many "religious" people that go about attempting to obtain their own "righteousness" by following man-made commandments. Generally, they appear to be quite miserable. IMO, the reason for this is that they know in their heart of hearts that they are always going to fall short of God's glory.
Just one illustration: many years ago, I worked at a job that required a very early start. Every morning, I would pass by a Roman Catholic Church at around 6:00 AM. More often than not, I would see an elderly lady walking to the church for early morning "mass." Her entire countenance looked miserable, as if she had the burdens of the world heaped upon her shoulders. What she was obviously burdened down with was her sins (or those of her departed loved ones), whether they be in thoughts or actions, grudgingly off to "mass" in order to seek a forgiveness that was nowhere to be found. Even though it has been many years ago, I have never forgotten that picture in my mind of the vanity of "religiousness," which works to find "forgiveness" by establishing righteousness outside of faith in Christ alone, as revealed in the Scriptures alone, through the grace of God.

The actual data, some of which I shared above, does not seem to corroborate the simplistic story of supposed herd immunity. I’m not arguing that prior infection doesn’t provide some level of immunity for most that recover, but the theory the Amish are no longer getting Covid and are delta immune appears to be disinformation used to suggest vaccinations shouldn’t be mandated and aren’t necessary.

They're able to circumvent costly rules and regulations and building codes that the rest of us can't. One example: Have you ever tried to mortgage a property that FEMA has determined to be in a flood zone? If so, you're aware that you must purchase FEMA flood insurance at least three times the rate of normal hazard insurance. The Amish aren't required to carry flood insurance. Consequently, they're buying up the unaffordable properties in eastern PA, and renting them out to "the English." I'm not sure how that has worked for them during the Covid no eviction policy, but I know that I would not want to be disputing with any Amish person over money owed to them.

Sincere Christians, including most of my family and friends. are caught up in it, or some other aspect of the New Apostolic Reformation. Don't worry, you may not like one part of it, but there's something for everyone! I feel those of us who can, should be contending for the faith and sounding the alarm. How can we see the truth and do any less? That's why I'm a part of this blog.
