Like many loyal Americans, I was dismayed at the events of January 6, 2021. Inter alia, I believe it caused the USA security problems, perhaps showing foreign aggressors that our perimeters were easily breached.
I was also equally disturbed at the left-wing pattern of lawless chaos and rioting in American streets after Minneapolis Policeman Chauvin sat on George Floyd’s neck for the recorded 9 minutes. I could condone neither his act nor the massive street rioting that followed it in too many American cities, Detroit happily excluded. . A combination of Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and anarchists were majority participants in those ugly events involving looting, burning, glass shattering, and traffic blocking.
Just as apparent to me was that those involved in the Capitol insurrection were NOT BLM nor Antifa people, as too many Trump supporters tell me they believe to be the case. It was obvious that this riot mainly consisted of ardent Trump supporters, Qanon participants, and yes, like the BLM and Antifa crowd, likewise anarchists, supplemented by militia and white supremacy group types such as Proud Boys and militia members. I am dismayed at the cult-like intensity of those claiming the January 6th riot was staged by BLM and Antifa! I didn’t see many Black faces in that Capitol mob. Am I supposed to believe that they were there in “White Face”?! Highly unlikely!
I have spent the past 40 years of my adult life battling the cult-like influence of the New Age Movement over American (and elsewhere) culture. Those Evangelicals concerned about the New Age Movement should know that QANON has obvious New Age roots and direction. If you don’t believe me, just pick up and read the book Mike Lindell is promoting on his website, “LOVE JOY TRUMP.” The author, one “BethAnon” (an obvious Qanon moniker) has been following her Hindu guru Prem Rawat daily and faithfully since 1982, the year my own work against the New Age Movement went national. In that book that purports to be "A Chorus of Prophetic Voices", we learn:

Unfortunately, this type of non -discerning nonsense is being espoused in too many Republican, Evangelical, and even conservative Catholic circles. No man (nor woman) should claim God-like powers and authority. To allow it about oneself in in their respective circles, turns followers of such condoning persons into little more than cultists.
Sadly, My Pillow entrepeneur Mike Lindell has branded himself as Qanon. He does so in this very book LOVE JOY TRUMP for which he wrote the foreword. I'm told that he was marketing it at the very recent Antrim County (Michigan) rally. I have seen for myself that he is energetically promoting and selling it on his business' website.
"Where we go one, we go all (WWG1WGA)" -- I don't think so, count me out!.
HBO recently released an informative documentary 6 part series on QANON. It is called “INTO THE STORM”. If you have HBO (available on Comcast) or Amazon Prime, you should be able to view it.. The series presents convincing evidence that it got to the bottom of “Who is Q?” While per this series, Qanon supporters and strategizers have included Major General Paul Vallely (retired), General Flynn, Jerome Corsi, and even Donald Trump (making many intentional retweets of Qanon messages), it appears that the actual “Q” anonymous persona was Ron Watkins. Ron Watkins is the son of Jim Watkins, the owner of 8Chan renamed 8Chun, the network used by Qanon for circulating its "memes" and "cues." Watkins acquired the network from its original founder, a wheelchair bound Fred Brennan. Watkins had Fred Brennan relocate to Manila. After Brennan viewed with dismay mass shootings committed by 8chan users, he decided to distance himself from his internet created channel. The network's rationale for allowing such speech was "Freedom of speech." Ironically, after Brennan turned against his network, renamed 8chun by Jim Watkins, Watkins aggressively pursued Philippine prosecution of Brennan for "cyberlibel," a felony in the dictator controlled Philippines government. Brennan had to flee back to America to avoid cruel prosecution and probable incarceration in the Philippines.
So, if you find much of this distasteful after checking out such obvious Qanon, pro-Trump sources as LOVE JOY TRUMP and many other QANON books, where do we go?
Well, I realize I'm probably a distinctly minority view in current Michigan Republican, if not national circles, here's where I've gone. I've watched with interest the very courageous work of Congressman Adam Kinzinger of Illinois. Although I was not a previous Cheney fan, I am impressed with Liz Cheney's brave stand. I was more than a little disconcerted that Kevin McCarthy took the lead in seeking her unseating from Republican House leadership because she took a stand against January 6th events. To my mind, that was nothing short of hypocritical because Kevin McCarthy had earlier reported that he unsuccessfully tried to talk President Trump into calling off the Insurrection forces while the January 6th event was in progress.
I am also impressed by two brave Michigan Congressmen, Fred Upton and Peter Meijer. I think it reprehensible that Michigan Republicans sought to censure them for voting their consciences vis a vis the January 6th event.
I am dismayed at reports this week that allegedly conservative Christian Evangelicals booed Mike Pence and called him a "traitor" for not refusing to certify the Election results.
Today, it was announced that the Michigan Republican led Senate investigation results found the election results fair and not indicative of widespread fraud. That should put it to rest, but I'm fearful it will not. The events of January 6th, including Trump's summoning a huge crowd to Washington for his "Stop the Steal" rally, his obvious frequent retweeting of Qanon messages, his failure to timely stop the Capitol riot remind me ominously of a similar event in Germany in 1923. It is commonly known as the Beer Hall Putsch." It was Hitler led and Hitler was sentenced to two years in prison for it. While in prison, Hitler's forces were organizing all over Germany and Bavaria. Like us, Germany was recovering from a pandemic, from massive inflation and instability from many left-wing "Bohemian" forces. Hitler indeed came back and assumed massive power. Like the LOVE JOY TRUMP and 1000 YEARS OF PEACE Qanon books, Germans thought that was what Hitler was doing for Germany then. The results then were catastrophic -- both for Germany and the world.
Qanon is advancing ugly anti-Semitic views. That with the other items I mention, amount to too many ominous parallels. Do we really want to go there? I for one, do not.
Yes, there were good things that happened during Trump's presidency. There were some excellent judicial appointments, the globalists were definitely slowed down, and Christians were treated in Presidential circles far more kindly than they were in the Obama Adminstration or than they definitely would have been treated had Hillary been elected. That, however, being said, does not give one a pass to ignore the Constitution, threaten officials for doing their duty in certifying elections, and give aid, comfort, and even motivation to those who would tear us apart by "Civil War."
I know the above is not popular in many Republican circles, but for now, this is where I stand.

The implication made by "justhere", articles about Sweden and new age science fiction writer, Ethan Huff's analysis of lockdowns seems to be that places that did such lockdowns and mandated masks faired worse than the more lenient governments and jurisdictions. It's suggesting the US would have saved more lives NOT locking down at all and mandating masks.
That implication is defeated by just one chart showing the after effects of government actions whereupon the more lenient less "lockdowny" "Red" US states as a group substantially underperformed the more restrictive and conservative approaches of the blue states. If the Blue States had done what Red States did...there would be another 200,000 or so American's dead. I personally believe Florida, as the only place open, accessible and practical for vacationing by many Americans kept the covid virus churning throughout the entire eastern side of the country red and blue state alike exporting a post winter/spring break wave throughout the north.

Justhere -- I'm sorry I wasn't "thorough" enough to for you but I'm happy to simply provide you another perspective. I wasn't writing you a research paper. Like Sweden right now, South Dakota hardly has had any deaths the last month, but that doesn't mean the S. Dakota governor, health dept and legislature there did a good job overall. As you can see in the chart above, since July 2020 South Dakota was 49th out of 50 states in the same country that lead the world in covid cases and deaths. Like Sweden, the Delta variant is growing there to so hopefully these new cases won't start resulting in more deaths as the delta variant wave moves northward this fall through unvaccinated states, red county by red county.
Covid appears to peak in southern states during stifling heat when the populations retreat indoors. Likewise, it makes sense that South Dakota and many northern states and countries like Sweden have low numbers right now in summer while populations are outside soaking up sun and fresh air. Hopefully, with increases in vaccinations...this winter won't be as deadly as last. It sure would be nice to eradicate this nuisance instead.
What's sad is it's so easy to sit back smug-like, picking and choosing favorable data points while armchair quarterbacking the past year. We were LUCKY it wasn't worse and it COULD still get worse. I would not have wanted to be a politician or health professionals in 2020 or now making life and death decisions based on the medical science's best guesses on a novel pandemic virus we knew/know little about. But just because they got some things wrong last year or overreacted out of extreme caution doesn't mean today's "best guesses" are just as dubious. We are no where near the end of the learning curve but there are some things we do know...and it is indisputable vaccines are saving lives.

There's no need to post anecdotal stories of black violence towards Asians as though "they" are the only ones capable of racial violence. Blacks are not a monolith. Black people don’t move, think, operate as one the country OR world over. Black Americans represent nearly 14% of the population now, and with more than 40 million people who identify as Black, this community represents a diverse array of backgrounds, religions, expectations, political views, music, culinary taste and perspectives. Many are our Christian brothers and sisters and it's no longer ok to denigrate an entire group of patriotic Christian Americans as incapable of controlling "their" collective criminal violent dispositions. Sweden had government rules and actually just opened up on July 15th after maintaining longstanding government mandates throughout the pandemic. Further, the author of your linked article argued that Sweden didn't do all that bad (as of Oct 20th) since some other countries appear to have undercounted their dead bodies when you look at the Economist link he gave. Such potential undercount did not, and does not currently (the Economist has updated such charts to date) seem to apply to Finland, Norway, Denmark -- Sweden's most relative comparison. In other words, there is no evidence Sweden's immediate neighbors undercounted their much lower death counts.

The story I referred to (Craig did as well) regarding *California's Prop 47 showed two young Blacks, in a video, walking out the front door with hundreds of dollars worth of stolen merchandise. Somehow, in your typically twisted mind, you interpret that FACTUAL story as evidence of "racism." Weird.
In the past, I referred to stories that proved the disproportionate amount of violent attacks by Blacks upon Asians, of which you denied, and disputed, in spite of the overwhelming statistical evidence. One of the reasons I brought up the Black on Asian crime wave is that it has often been stated (over and over and over again) that Blacks CANNOT be racists, a ridiculous assertion.
The recent events in South Africa speak for themselves. I didn't mention, but could have, the ongoing, rampant MURDERS, along with the theft of the lands of White farmers by Blacks in South Africa. Another FACT that you, along with the mainstream media conveniently ignores.
While we are on the subject, I stand by my belief that George Floyd was a **career criminal thug that contributed to his death by resisting the police, and, by having a lethal dose (as in 3.5 times the amount of a lethal dose) of Fentanyl in his system. Officer Chauvin was performing a holding technique that he was TRAINED to use. Being already "tried" in the media, he had zero chance of an acquittal. Candace Owens, a Black woman, takes the exact same position regarding that case. Is she a "racist" too because of her beliefs regarding Floyd?

Ivermectin, a drug used to fight parasites in third-world countries, could help reduce the length of infection for people who contract coronavirus for less than a $1 a day, according to recent research by Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer.
Prof. Eli Schwartz, founder of the Center for Travel Medicine and Tropical Disease at Sheba, conducted a randomized, controlled, double-blinded trial from May 15, 2020, through the end of January 2021 to evaluate the effectiveness of ivermectin in reducing viral shedding among nonhospitalized patients with mild to moderate COVID-19.
Ivermectin has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration since 1987. The drug’s discoverers were awarded the 2015 Nobel Prize in medicine for its treatment of onchocerciasis, a disease caused by infection with a parasitic roundworm.
Over the years, it has been used for other indications, including scabies and head lice. Moreover, in the last decade, several clinical studies have started to show its antiviral activity against viruses ranging from HIV and the flu to Zika and West Nile.
The drug is also extremely economical.
A study published in the peer-reviewed American Journal of Therapeutics showed that the cost of ivermectin for other treatments in Bangladesh is around $0.60 to $1.80 for a five-day course. It costs up to $10 a day in Israel, Schwartz said.
In Schwartz’s study, some 89 eligible volunteers over the age of 18 who were diagnosed with coronavirus and staying in state-run COVID-19 hotels were divided into two groups: 50% received ivermectin, and 50% received a placebo, according to their weight. They were given the pills for three days in a row, an hour before a meal.
The volunteers were tested using a standard nasopharyngeal swab PCR test with the goal of evaluating whether there was a reduction in viral load by the sixth day – the third day after termination of the treatment. They were swabbed every two days.
Nearly 72% of volunteers treated with ivermectin tested negative for the virus by day six. In contrast, only 50% of those who received the placebo tested negative.
IN ADDITION, the study looked at culture viability, meaning how infectious the patients were, and found that only 13% of ivermectin patients were infectious after six days, compared with 50% of the placebo group – almost four times as many.
“Our study shows first and foremost that ivermectin has antiviral activity,” Schwartz said. “It also shows that there is almost a 100% chance that a person will be noninfectious in four to six days, which could lead to shortening isolation time for these people. This could have a huge economic and social impact.”
The study appeared on the MedRxiv health-research sharing site. It has not yet been peer reviewed.
Schwartz said other similar studies – though not all of them conducted to the same double-blind and placebo standards as his – also showed a favorable impact of ivermectin treatment.
His study did not prove ivermectin was effective as a prophylactic, meaning that it could prevent disease, he cautioned, nor did it show that it reduces the chances of hospitalization. However, other studies have shown such evidence, he added.
For example, the study published earlier this year in the American Journal of Therapeutics highlighted that “a review by the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance summarized findings from 27 studies on the effects of ivermectin for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 infection, concluding that ivermectin ‘demonstrates a strong signal of therapeutic efficacy’ against COVID-19.”
“Another recent review found that ivermectin reduced deaths by 75%,” the report said.
BUT IVERMECTIN is not without controversy, and hence, despite the high levels of coronavirus worldwide, neither the FDA nor the World Health Organization have been willing to approve it for use in the fight against the virus.
Prof. Ya’acov Nahmias, a Hebrew University of Jerusalem researcher, has questioned the safety of the drug.
“Ivermectin is a chemical therapeutic agent, and it has significant risks associated with it,” he said in a previous interview. “We should be very cautious about using this type of medication to treat a viral disease that the vast majority of the public is going to recover from even without this treatment.”
During Schwartz’s study, there was not any signal of significant side effects among ivermectin users.
Only five patients were referred to hospitals, with four of them being in the placebo arm. One ivermectin patient went to the hospital complaining of shortness of breath on the day of recruitment. He continued with the ivermectin treatment and was sent back to the hotel a day later in good condition.
The FDA said on its website it “received multiple reports of patients who have required medical support and been hospitalized after self-medicating with ivermectin.”
The “FDA has not approved ivermectin for use in treating or preventing COVID-19 in humans,” it said. “Ivermectin tablets are approved at very specific doses for some parasitic worms, and there are topical (on the skin) formulations for head lice and skin conditions like rosacea. Ivermectin is not an antiviral (a drug for treating viruses). Taking large doses of this drug is dangerous and can cause serious harm.”
The World Health Organization has also recommended against using the drug except in clinical trials.
IN CONTRAST, Schwartz said he was very disappointed that the WHO did not support any trial to determine whether the drug could be viable.
Last month, Oxford University announced a large trial on ivermectin effectiveness.
Schwartz said he became interested in exploring ivermectin about a year ago, “when everyone was looking for a new drug” to treat COVID-19, and a lot of effort was being put into evaluating hydroxychloroquine, so he decided to join the effort.
“Since ivermectin was on my shelf, since we are using it for tropical diseases, and there were hints it might work, I decided to go for it,” he said.
Researchers in other places worldwide began looking into the drug at around the same time. But when they started to see positive results, no one wanted to publish them, Schwartz said.
“There is a lot of opposition,” he said. “We tried to publish it, and it was kicked away by three journals. No one even wanted to hear about it. You have to ask how come when the world is suffering.”
“This drug will not bring any big economic profits,” and so Big Pharma doesn’t want to deal with it, he said.
SOME OF the loudest opposition to ivermectin has come from Merck Co., which manufactured the drug in the 1980s. In a public statement about ivermectin on its website in February, it said: “Company scientists continue to carefully examine the findings of all available and emerging studies of ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19 for evidence of efficacy and safety. It is important to note that, to date, our analysis has identified no scientific basis for a potential therapeutic effect against COVID-19 from pre-clinical studies; no meaningful evidence for clinical activity or clinical efficacy in patients with COVID-19 disease, and a concerning lack of safety data in the majority of studies.”
But Merck has NOT launched any studies of its own on ivermectin.
“You would think Merck would be happy to hear that ivermectin might be helpful to corona patients and try to study it, but they are most loudly declaring the drug should not be used,” Schwartz said. “A billion people took it. They gave it to them. It’s a real shame.”
And not moving forward with ivermectin could potentially extend the time it takes for the world to be able to live alongside the virus, he said.
“Developing new medications can take years; therefore, identifying existing drugs that can be re-purposed against COVID-19 [and] that already have an established safety profile through decades of use could play a critical role in suppressing or even ending the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic,” wrote the researchers in the American Journal of Therapeutics.

These will be removed to appease the individuals in power who have an arsenal of overwhelming tools at their disposal, and are actively engaged in using them. COVID-19 has activated and authorized emergency powers that have weakened our constitutional rights. There was a time when people could debate and respect each other freely. That time is now gone. I believe laws are best applied like medicine – locally and specifically.
Local food, local democracy – our local community strength is the best way to achieve peace moving forward, and to stop authoritarian technocracy. I also believe we are at our strongest when we can care and maintain respect for each other. This is how we can make our most important decisions in life.
Again I will still be writing my daily articles that I started 25 years ago BUT they will only be available for 48 hours before they are removed. I just received a surprise package in my mail. It was cult-expert and former Unification Church victim Steve Hassan;s book, THE CULT of TRUMP. Skimming through, it looks like essential reading: THE CULT OF TRUMP. It is published by Simonand Schuster (2019) under their Free Press label.

Local bureaucrats and union bosses — we will not allow you to do more harm to our children again this year. Children are not at any more risk from COVID than they are for the seasonal flu. Every adult who works in schools has either had the vaccine or had their chance to. There is no reason for mask mandates, part time schools, or any lockdown measures.
Children are falling behind in school, and are being harmed physically and psychologically by the tactics you have used to keep them from the classroom last year. We won’t allow it again.
If a school system attempts to keep the children from full-time, in-person school, I will hold up every bill with two amendments. One to defund them, and another to allow parents the choice of where the money goes for their child’s education.
Do I sound fed up to you? That’s because I am.
I’m not a career politician. I’ve practiced medicine for 33 years. I graduated from Duke Medical School, worked in emergency rooms, studied immunology and virology, and ultimately chose to become a surgeon.
I have been telling everyone for a year now that Dr. Anthony Fauci and other public health officials were NOT following science, and I’ve been proven right time and time again.
But I’m not the only one who is fed up. I can’t go anywhere these days — from work, to events, to airports and Ubers, restaurants and stores, without people coming up to me thanking me for standing up for them.

It does not list human male aborted fetus cells, triton X-100, thimerosal, or aluminum in its ingredients.
Although these current vaccines don’t appear to contain African green monkey kidney cells I learned today that that’s the ingredient in female yeast infection medicine for those pesky candida infections. It’s called “fluconazole” and appear to be an anti-fungal ingredient that, according to some studies, might be an harmful in large doses but fungus in stored vaccines could be a bigger issue? I don’t know what vaccine use fluconazole not what issues the idiots at new age scientologists at Covid grifting naturalnews think relate to it. It was an op-Ed article. It’s not even proposed legislation….yet. So this is more political cry baby made for Fox theater, like his gaslighting of Fauci. If the majority healthy vaccinated choose to enact laws to protect themselves and their families from the unvaccinated that u don’t like, get vaccinated or mind your own business and accept the consequences of your choices as the cost of living in a civilized society. It’s not like being denied commercial aviation is a human rights violation. You’ll be ok. Besides, there’s always the hope maybe all the vaccinated will all be dead in 2 years & u can run it all however you choose. Last December, I came down with COVID.
It was a modest sickness, as science would have forecasted.
I wasn’t obese, not over 65, and had no other co-morbidities.
I should have sailed through the sickness without complication.

Shortly after recovering, an artery in my neck began to split.
Doctors were confused. It was spontaneous; no injury proceeded it.
The uncertain view was I had a rare — and unexplainable — COVID injury.
I went in for emergency surgery, got a stent, and started blood thinners.
Out of surgery, I asked my doctor about getting the COVID vaccine.
He was unequivocal: DO NOT GET IT. I had natural immunity, he explained. The vaccine would give me no additional known benefit.
In fact, it could be injurious.
The high dose of blood thinners, he explained, combined with worrying reports of rare vascular issues caused by the vaccine put me at an unknown risk.
With natural immunity, there was no reason to take that risk. No need to take the vaccine.
That was February 2021.
Yesterday I got good news: the stent was performing brilliantly.
I also learned bad news: the Biden Regime and numerous cities were moving swiftly to enact vaccine mandates and passports.
Yet my doc’s counsel remained the same: I have natural immunity + risk is too great.
Now I face a threat more grave than COVID:

A video clip going viral online shows CNN reporter Randi Kaye hunting down Dr. Joseph Mercola to accuse him of spreading “misinformation” about Covid-19, masks and vaccines.
First, Kaye is seen walking into Mercola’s Fort Meyers, Florida office and asking employees if the doctor is available.
The CNN reporter said she wanted to ask the doctor about “misinformation” he’s spreading online, such as “masks may not work, vaccines could be dangerous and vitamins C and D can prevent or treat coronavirus.”
After being told Mercola was not at the office, Kaye traveled over 200 miles and showed up outside his house.
After failing to reach Mercola at home, the CNN crew saw the doctor riding his bike nearby and followed him to engage in an ambush interview.
“How are you? I’m Randi Kaye with CNN. Can we ask you a couple questions?” the reporter queried.
She continued, “We just want to talk to you about vaccines and what you’ve been saying about them. Do you feel responsible for people who didn’t get vaccinated and possibly got sick and died because of what you told them about the vaccine? What do you say to families who lost loved ones? Are you spreading misinformation? Why won’t you speak to us?”
As she asked question after question, Mercola calmly got back onto his bicycle and rode off without saying a word to the pesky reporter.
Dr. Mercola is labeled by the White House as a member of the “disinformation dozen,” which is a group of internet users allegedly responsible for 65% of anti-vaccine on social media.
Last month, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki called on Facebook to remove posts by these users “quickly” before revealing the Biden administration actually tells the platform which accounts to censor.
On Tuesday, Dr. Mercola announced he will be deleting all content posted to his website 48 hours after its publication in order to avoid being persecuted by the Biden administration.
“These were the times when many of the views I presented were criticized, but that’s to be expected,” he explained. “That was one of the great freedoms we enjoyed. We could have different views and we could speak openly about these views without fear of retribution.”
Dr. Mercola added, “But we are now in a different time. A much darker time. The silence of free speech is now deafening.”

These data further indicate that COVID-19 vaccines offer better protection than natural immunity alone and that vaccines, even after prior infection, help prevent reinfections.
“If you have had COVID-19 before, please still get vaccinated,” said CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky. “This study shows you are twice as likely to get infected again if you are unvaccinated. Getting the vaccine is the best way to protect yourself and others around you, especially as the more contagious Delta variant spreads around the country.”
The study of hundreds of Kentucky residents with previous infections through June 2021 found that those who were unvaccinated had 2.34 times the odds of reinfection compared with those who were fully vaccinated. The findings suggest that among people who have had COVID-19 previously, getting fully vaccinated provides additional protection against reinfection.
Additionally, a second publication from MMWR shows vaccines prevented COVID-19 related hospitalizations among the highest risk age groups. As cases, hospitalizations, and deaths rise, the data in today’s MMWR reinforce that COVID-19 vaccines are the best way to prevent COVID-19.
COVID-19 vaccines remain safe and effective. They prevent severe illness, hospitalization, and death. Additionally, even among the uncommon cases of COVID-19 among the fully or partially vaccinated vaccines make people more likely to have a milder and shorter illness compared to those who are unvaccinated. CDC continues to recommend everyone 12 and older get vaccinated against COVID-19.

I was thinking more about my recent experience on FaceBook. I think it's unlikely FaceBook deleted so much content suddenly. I think it's more likely I went through some type of shadow banning so that I can't see large subsets of content.
I was just recalling that I joined three new FaceBook groups recently. Those were my first political groups on FaceBook. They were all conservative, school focused, parent groups.
Could that have been the trigger? I've been a member for years and never has anything like that happened to me. I felt angry, like the dog that barked at me for years finally bit my ankle.
But like you said, RayB, taking a break from social media can be a good way to recharge one's batteries. I think with FaceBook, I may be taking a permanent break now. I think I'm going to cancel the canceler.

Seems to me that the vaxxed have nothing to be concerned about then. So why the new mask mandate for vaxxed and un-vaxxed, and, worse, the calls for vaxxed-only admittance in certain locales? As to the vaxxed group, there's no need for concern; as to the un-vaxxed, let them continue as they deem fit, since they are no harm to the vaxxed.

When Life Imitates A Terrifying Science Fiction Thriller

SILICON VALLEY, California (American Thinker) – Sometimes art imitates life and sometimes life imitates art. Today we are living the latter…and it’s called The Terminator. Little did we know when we first watched Arnold utter “I’ll be back” in 1984 that we were watching our real future.
For those who don’t remember, Terminator was set in 1984 Los Angeles when a cyborg is sent back from 2029 to kill Sarah Connor. The premise is that at some point Skynet, an artificial intelligence defense system, had gained self-awareness and launched a nuclear war in its effort to destroy civilization and the humans who built it. John Connor was leading the resistance against Skynet and was nearing victory. In a last-ditch attempt to win, Skynet sent the Terminator, a cyborg, back in time to kill Sarah Connor before her son, John, could be born. The resistance sent back Kyle Reese, their best soldier, to try to save Sarah.
While the names may have been changed to protect the not-so-innocent and while we may not be in 1984, make no mistake, we are very much in the throes of the apocalypse that Linda Hamilton was facing as she drove off into the sunset.
Our Skynet is called Silicon Valley and it is comrade to the American left. Unlike Skynet, which gained self-awareness, Silicon Valley is full of people who seem to have no self-awareness at all. They proffer ideas that normal people recognize as ludicrous – e.g., men can give birth, America is systemically racist, and defunding police leads to safer streets — yet they think they are correct about everything.
Just look at the world they exist in. The Bay Area is overrun with homelessness, with drug addicts literally sprawled out on the sidewalks; the streets are covered with human feces and hypodermic needles; violence is raging out of control; and so many criminals shoplift with impunity in full view of employees and cameras that national chains and Mom & Pop shops alike are having to close their doors because they’re losing so much money. What’s more, their calls for defunding the police persist, despite extraordinary spikes in violence.
The left is anything but self-aware. They push insane policies that lead to society’s literal destruction and still somehow believe they are standing up for the oppressed. They claim that America is racist when, in fact, the United States may be the least racist nation on the planet.
Of course, none of this would matter if Silicon Valley were today just the sleepy erstwhile farmland it was when Hewlett & Packard launched their company in 1939, or even as late as 1976 when Apple was launched. But Silicon Valley is no longer that tranquil, serene suburb. Rather, it has become the hub of our Skynet. Silicon Valley, between social media, information hosting, and communications, has gained a stranglehold on virtually every American citizen. Privacy no longer exists. Free exchange of ideas no longer exists. Opinions that differ from the approved script are no longer allowed and are banned from the public square.
Silicon Valley, in general, and social media, in particular, have set Americans against one another every bit as much as Skynet set humans against one another via nuclear war. The truth is that social media is even more insidious than Skynet. At least with nuclear war, you understand the enemy is indeed an enemy and you recognize that mortal danger that lies ahead.
Social media creates enemies where there used to be friendship, it creates victim-oppressor relationships where none exist, and it provides tools for groups to attack individuals with unapproved ideas and do so both online and off, usually with impunity. Like Skynet, which started out as a useful tool to game out various scenarios and ended up bastardizing itself into a tool to conduct actual war, social media started out as a useful tool to connect with friends and ended up as a tool that allowed citizens to go to war against one another.
In addition to turning people against one another, the other aspect of The Terminator that rings far too true in 2021 America is history’s erasure. The Terminator went back in history to try to eliminate Sarah Connor in order to stop John Connor from ever existing.
In a similar way, social media, BLM, Antifa, and the Democrats writ large are actively erasing American history. First, it was statues of Confederate generals, then it was the Founding Fathers, followed in short order by Aunt Jemima and Mr. Potato Head and Dr. Seuss. Half of history is erased and the other half is rewritten. No longer was America born in 1776, but rather 1619. No longer was America founded on freedom, but instead on slavery. America was never a land of opportunity, but a land of oppression.
The last, and perhaps most disturbing element of The Terminator documentary is the fact that Skynet never gave up. Although the movie ended with the cyborg crushed to death in a press, we all know that that was not the real end of the story. Not only did the cyborg survive, but Skynet kept sending newer and better assassins to kill Sarah or John or somehow destroy the past to prevent the future.
Donald Trump is our John Connor and his tenure in the White House was the perfect demonstration of this unbridled attack machine:
Four years of the Russia hoax, even after it was proven demonstrably false… Kids in Cages… “Suckers and losers”… “Good people on both sides”… Trump’s a racist… Trump’s a sexist… Trump hates immigrants… Trump’s a fascist… Obstruction of justice… Not to mention the impeachment. And when all that fails, our American Skynets blatantly stole an election under the cover of night and now attack as White Supremacists the people who point out the theft. And then another impeachment!
The left was and is simply relentless. Like Skynet, leftists literally never, ever give up. Even when you think they are defeated, when you win the highest office in the land, they find novel ways to thwart your victory. If you get elected on the platform of building a wall, they engage a dozen different ways to thwart it. When one element of the Skynet swamp is eliminated, three more immediately arrive to take its place.
At the end of the day, Silicon Valley, the Media, and the Democrat party are what Skynet was:
An existential threat to civilization and everything we hold dear. A threat to common sense, rational thought, individual freedom, the Constitution, and most of all, the Republic.
America has been the bulwark against tyranny in the world for almost a century. When our Skynet succeeds in eliminating the United States, the entire world will be less safe and, eventually, civilization will collapse just as it did when 2029’s Skynet launched its war.
Reese’s characterization of Skynet couldn’t be more accurate today:
“Listen and understand. That terminator is out there. It can’t be bargained with. It can’t be reasoned with. It doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear, and it absolutely will not stop. Ever. Until you are dead.”
That is the future we are facing.
Unless Americans can figure out how to stop it.
