One of most significant messages I've heard in recent times -- "The time for detachment is now" Addition: Activist demands that images of Jesus come down! It's happening!

Christine,

You wrote: Isit okay to make an image of Jesus? Paul says He is the express image of The Father and Jesus said when you have seen Me you have seen the Father, they are alike. An image of Jesus doesn't show His invisible divinity, but it is included in His person which is depicted.

you salute the flag it is about what it represents. same deal with honoring an icon. When people throw grbge at some unpopulr person's picture they are dishonoring the original on purpose.

Thanks for thoughtfully engaging. I definitely agree with your last paragraph.

As to your first paragraph, in Colossians 1:15 Paul says Christ is the image of the invisible God, not Father. I think this is an important distinction—and this may appear, at first blush, to support your view. As regards John 14:9, I don’t think we are to believe Jesus is the same as the Father in some literal, physical sense, for the Father has no materiality. We must view John 14:9 in conjunction with 14:10—11. “I am in the Father and the Father is in me.” Your conclusion (An image of Jesus doesn't show His invisible divinity, but it is included in His person which is depicted.) may seem to follow—to justify the making of images of Jesus for veneration (not worship)—and rightly, guards against Nestorianism, maintaining the integrity of His Divine-human ‘Person’. But, this Divine aspect is what makes it explicitly at odds with the First Commandment (Exodus 20:2-5[6]). In other words, the necessity of avoiding Nestorianism is the very thing preventing the making of images of Jesus, for this would violate the First Commandment.

This distills down to two questions, which must be considered one with the other: Are we permitted to make images of YHWH? and Is Jesus YHWH (and human)? That’s an unqualified “NO” and “YES”, respectively. Ergo, we are to make no images of YHWH, Jesus. God did, but we cannot.

Christine (aka Justina, aka Sandra) said (in part) @ 12:19 AM:

"What I did say is that AFTER He physically rose from the dead, His body "changed," which can easily be illustrated by the Scriptures." - RayB

changed into what? something non physical? His Resurrection body and those we shall receive someday, is indestructible and immortal, but PHYSICAL He said to handle Him and see He has flesh and bones not like a spirit, and ate some fish. This change of His strictly human of present type to the Resurrection body happened at the Resurrection, not after. appearing despite a closed door is not much more spectacular than walking over the water before His death and Resurrection.

So His body changed into some kind of spirit haunt thing? prove it.

NOTE: As participants in Christ's resurrection, Christians "shall be changed." We shall put on immortality. Christ's BODY was not immortal, because He actually PHYSICALLY died. When He rose, He rose in an IMMORTAL body, just as Christians will.

"Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption."

"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,"

"In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." 1 Corinthians 15:50-52

NOTE: There are also a number of accounts in the Scriptures in which the disciples, and others that knew Him, DID NOT RECOGNIZE Him AFTER the resurrection:

Mary Magdeline at the the empty tomb, and her encounter with the risen Christ, is just one example:

"And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus." John 20:14

If His body was EXACTLY the same PRIOR to the resurrection, how is it that people that knew Him did not recognize Him?

RayB said...

PS: I never stated, nor did I ever imply, that His body became, in Christine's poetic words, "some kind of spirit haunt thing."

He ROSE PHYSICALLY from the dead as evidenced by the Empty Tomb.

Guess what, Christine?

God has INFINITE abilities.

If Jesus on occasion wants to MANIFEST Himself in human form HE WILL.

Craig said...

RayB,

At this point I think Christine is wrong to continually dredge up the issue. It’s from long ago, and you later clarified your statements, saying you initially “misspoke”. But on the other hand, you’ve continually dodged the essence of her point, being a bit disingenuous in claiming you never said this or that of her paraphrases of your initial statements. These statements did amount to a denial of Jesus’ bodily (the human aspect His Divine-human Being) resurrection. I think if you just say something to the effect of “I misspoke at first but later clarified my statements” it would put this whole thing to rest.

RayB said...

Craig,

As you may recall, you and I were in a typically "heated" conversation when I made my misstatement, which upon reading it, and reflecting upon what I said, vs what I meant to say, I admitted that I had misspoken. Under heated conditions, often what happens is that something is said or written that does not ENTIRELY reflect what we actually believe. Also, I think you will agree with me when I say that in a limited format such as this, it is often difficult to fully convey one's beliefs. This is why, in an attempt to explain more fully, as you may also recall, I provided a link to what R. C. Sproul had to say on the subject, to which, I stated that I was in "full agreement." Sproul also stated that Christ retaining His "humanity" was also a "mystery" that to him, was "admittedly difficult to fully understand," but one in which he "fully accepted by faith." Can we really fully "understand" many aspects regarding all things as they relate to God and His workings? In our current state, anyone that makes the claim that they do is deceiving themselves.

"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."
-- Isaiah 55:8,9

The Lord knows my heart and mind. I have NEVER doubted the physical resurrection of Jesus Christ. As I have stated before, I have dealt with a number of Jehovah Witnesses, which officially deny the physical resurrection. This is a subject that has been discussed frequently with them. I typically use the passage with Thomas in order to illustrate the physical resurrection to them.

RayB said...

(continued)

On somewhat of a similar subject ...

Regarding Christ and His Deity, etc.

This is one of the stumbling blocks that is taught by the RCC.

They refer to Mary as the "Mother of God," because, they rationalize, "Jesus was God, Mary was His Mother, so, ergo, Mary is the Mother of God. Of course, Mary, being a "finite, non-deity," human being could not possibly be the Mother of DEITY, which is infinite. Mary was clearly the Mother of His HUMANITY, and nothing more.

As a side note to all:

Part of the reason as to why the Holy Spirit was the "Father" of Christ's birth, was, aside from "providing" the Deity side of Christ, but also, as a means to block the sin seed that is passed upon all human beings through the seed of Adam. God made a covenant with ADAM (man), not EVE, and when Adam sinned against God, Adam's sin is now forever passed upon all human beings through the seed of man, including the Virgin Mary. The "seed" is what was required to be "blocked," because that is how sin is transmitted to every human being that is born.

By proclaiming the "Immaculate Conception," (because "God" could not have been born while utilizing a woman that was not "sinless), violates what the Bible clearly teaches on the subject. It also in a rather strange way, denies his "humanity," which Mary was used as the instrument to provide.

IMO, this false understanding also contributes to the ongoing process in which the RCC Mary has been wrongly elevated to near deity status.

RayB @ 12:47 PM,

Very well, now we can all put this behind us. I will say that blog commenting in general should not be viewed as theological precision—though I do try to be precise. And this is why we should all give a little grace to others, instead of coming to conclusions about an ambiguous statement.

Of course I remember the discussion. I also recall both of us citing Sproul at nearly the same time. You were first, citing Did God Die on the Cross? This article focuses on a statement found in hymns: “How can it be that thou, my God, shouldst die for me?”. I cited two Sproul articles: The Human Nature Of Christ and part of the Ligonier Statement of Faith. However, with respect, none of these quite state what you say in your above comment. The difficulty for Sproul is saying ‘God died on the Cross’, for this statement is a bit shocking. It’s true, though, with the important qualifier that it was the God-man who died on the Cross, and that it was His human nature, not His Divine nature that died. This qualifier assured the integrity of the theanthropic, Divine-human ‘Person’ of Christ, so as not to fall into a Nestorian heresy.

In any case, as regards the Incarnation, you, Sproul, and I all agree with Paul here:

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory (I Timothy 3:16, KJV).

@ 1:11 PM,

In Sproul’s “The Human Nature of Christ” the author references the Definition (Creed) of Chalcedon. This Definition is affirmed by the Reformed tradition (and Protestantism, generally). This is evidenced in the following website:
Covenant of Grace Protestant Reformed Church

Note the words “Mother of God” in the Definition/Creed. This comes from the Greek word theotokos, which means “God-bearer”.

Craig said...

To my 2:59 PM comment, let me add:

The word theotokos was used to affirm that the child Mary bore was not merely human--humanity, of course, is assumed--but that the Messiah she bore was the Divine-human God-man, the Son of God.

I've stated on here previously, that I would have preferred the following instead: theanthropotokos. This is "God-man-bearer". This is much more precise and would not have caused confusion. Nestorius wanted christotokos, "Christ-bearer", which was a bit ambiguous, for his didn't specify Christ's Deity. But he had difficulty accepting theotokos, and I can understand why. It has led to much misunderstanding.

The Complete Hebrew Text Of The Gospel Of Matthew Is Still In Existence!

Although many may not be aware of it, Matthew originally wrote his gospel in the Hebrew language. The early church fathers attested to this fact in their writings. Eusebius in his Church History, discussing the canonization of the Scriptures, quoted Origen as follows: “Among the four gospels, which are the only indisputable ones in the Church of God under heaven, I have learned by tradition that the first was written by Matthew, who was once a publican, but afterwards an apostle of Jesus Christ, and it was prepared for the converts from Judaism, and published in the Hebrew language” (Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers, vol. 1, The Church History of Eusebius, book VI, chap.xxv, 4, page 272). Eusebius himself tells us, “For Matthew, who had at first preached to the Hebrews, when he was about to go to other peoples, committed his Gospel to writing in his native tongue, and thus compensated those whom he was obliged to leave for the loss of his presence” (ibid., book III, chap. XXIV, 6, page 152). Eusebius quotes Irenaeus also on this matter of Matthew’s gospel. According to Irenaeus, “Matthew published his Gospel among the Hebrews in their own language, while Peter and Paul were preaching and founding the church in Rome” (ibid., book V, chap. VIII, 2, page 222). Irenaeus, in Against Heresies, made this statement. He declared, as recorded in Ante-Nicene Fathers, “Matthew also issued a written Gospel among the Hebrews in their own dialect, while Peter and Paul were preaching at Rome, and laying the foundations of the Church” (book III, chap.I, 1, vol. 1, page 414). Eusebius also quotes Papias, (circa 60-130 A.D.), as the earliest church father who related that Matthew wrote his Gospel in Hebrew. He declared: “But concerning Matthew he [Papias] writes as follows: ‘So then Matthew wrote the oracles in the Hebrew language, and every one interpreted them as he was able” (Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers, vol. 1, The Church History of Eusebius, bk. III, chap.39, 16, page 173). Clearly there was an original gospel account, written by the apostle Matthew, which was written in the Hebrew language! The early church fathers acknowledge it!

Matthew’s Hebrew Gospel

But do we have a copy of Matthew’s gospel in the Hebrew language, as it was originally written, according to these ancient sources? The amazing fact is that the complete Hebrew text of Matthew’s gospel was preserved in the body of a 14th century Jewish polemical treatise entitled Evan Bohar. The author of the treatise, one by the name of Shem Tov Ben Isaac Ben Shaprut, completed his work in 1385 A.D. and revised it several times afterwards. He utilized nine different Hebrew manuscripts of the preserved Gospel of Matthew to compile his translation. Ben Shaprut was no Christian. He was a Jewish rabbi who was writing to defend his faith against the encroachments of Christian theologians. To counter-act the teachings of Matthew, he used Matthew’s original Hebrew Gospel, and carefully compiled his translation. The gospel of Matthew, in the Hebrew, has now been translated into English, and is available from Mercer University Press, in Macon, Georgia (ISBN 0-86554-4700):

It is titled simply, Hebrew Gospel of Matthew, by George Howard.

It is a fascinating book to read, and compare with our modern English versions, translated from the Greek copies of the Gospel. The similarities are most remarkable, as well as the many insights the Hebrew gives in many textual areas where the Greek seems mystifying. Says George Howard, it is clear from the evidence that the Hebrew Matthew contained in the text of Shem Tov’s Evan Bohan predates the 14th century – in fact, the evidence strongly suggests it goes back to the earliest centuries since Christ! Howard declares that of the nine manuscripts used by Shem Tov Ben Shaprut, two of the writings are virtually identical, are carefully copied, and show minimal tendency toward scribal error or assimilation to the canonical Greek and Latin. Says Howard, since the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, many of which are written in Hebrew, it is now known for a fact that Hebrew was used as a written medium in the first century – the time of Christ and the apostles. Hebrew, and even Greek, were both spoken in first century Palestine. Shem-Tov’s Hebrew Matthew is the earliest complete Hebrew text we now have of Matthew’s gospel. However, Jewish and anti-Christian writings prior to the 14th century often quote excerpts from Matthew in Hebrew, in a Shem-Tov type form. Says Howard, “Shem-Tob’s comments, scattered throughout the Hebrew text, confirm that this text is not a creation of the fourteenth century. The comments preserve telltale remarks implying that Shem-Tob had before him a preexisting Hebrew Matthew” (Hebrew Gospel of Matthew, page 173). Although Howard says Shem-Tob’s Matthew “does not preserve the original in a pure form,” nevertheless, he adds, “Considerable parts of the original, however, appear to remain, including its unpolished style, ungrammatical constructions, and Aramaized forms” (p.178). The Hebrew gospel of Matthew, he points out, is saturated with literary devices, such as puns, word connections, and alliteration, which make sense in Hebrew, but are lost in the Greek form of Matthew. They belong to the very structure of the Hebrew text, thus showing that the Hebrew is authentic, and was not translated from the Greek texts of Matthew which were extant. Interestingly, the Hebrew Matthew text of Shem Tov has “significant agreement” with the Codex Sinaiticus, which was discovered in the middle of the 19th century, five centuries after Shem Tov translated his copy from the Hebrew. The Coces Sinaiticus was discovered in the monastery of St. Catherine in the Sinai Peninsula where it had been hidden for many centuries, since the medieval period, until its discovery. As Howard states, therefore, “The roots for their agreement, therefore, must go back to the early centuries of the Christian era” (page 192). Also pointing to the early age of the Shem Tov Matthew, it is striking in that it has many agreements with the Old Syriac gospel of Matthew, which was displaced by the Peshitta text around the end of the fifth century, and only two copies have survived. However, "The many readings shared by Shem-Tob and the Old Syriac, therefore, strongly suggest a relationship, whose roots go back to the early centuries of the Christian era” says Howard (p. 196). Howard points out that there are also readings in Shem-Tov’s Matthew which agree with one of the other Gospels, but disagree with the Greek version of Matthew. This fact, he says, suggest that the author of John’s gospel, for example, which was written later, must have known of a Shem-Tov type of text for Matthew’s gospel, and used it when he wrote his gospel. Thus, when we look at it objectively, there is strong reason to believe that the Shem-Tov Hebrew Gospel of Matthew is a very useful and helpful copy of the original gospel of Matthew, which was indeed written in Hebrew, according to the early church fathers, based on knowledge handed down to them!

Importance

Example: Let's look at Matthew 23:2-3 in Shem-Tov’s Hebrew Matthew.

The King James Version states:

“The scribes and Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.”

Shem-Tov, however, is slightly different – but with a whole lot of difference inmeaning! It says, translated into English:

“The Pharisees and sages sit upon the seat of Moses. Therefore all that he [Moses] says to you, diligently do, but according to their reforms and their precedents do not do, because they talk but they do not do.”

Says Nehemia Gordon, “In the Hebrew Matthew, Yeshua is telling his disciples not to obey the Pharisees. If their claim to authority is that they sit in Moses’ seat, then [they should] diligently do as Moses says!” (page 48).

The Greek differs from the Hebrew here. The Greek says “they,” and can be  misunderstood. The Hebrew says “he,” referring to Moses himself! In Hebrew, Yeshua told His disciples to obey “all that he [Moses] says to do, in the Torah! These are two fundamentally different messages – “they” versus “he.” In other words, the SCRIPTURES are the final authority! But amazing as it sounds, in the Hebrew there is a difference of only one single letter! In Hebrew, “he says” is yomar. But “they say,” in Hebrew, is yomru. The only difference in the Hebrew text is the addition of a single vav [u]!!! Notice below:

“he says” yomar rnth
“they say” yomru urnth

Such a simple difference!

It is easy to see how the vav may have been left out of the Greek translation from the Hebrew somewhere along the line by a copyist.

The point is, however, this interpretation adds so much more insight and meaning and relevance to the passage of Scripture in Matthew 23:2-3 than we had before!

Why would there be any value in reading the "Hebrew Gospel of Matthew," written by a man that denied the deity and messiahship of Jesus Christ?

Here is what I found out about Shem-Tob, the author of the Hebrew Gospel of Matthew:

"Shem-Tob ben Isaac Ibn Shaprut was the AUTHOR OF AN ANTI-CHRISTIAN religious treatise, The Touchstone, completed in 1380 and revised in 1385 and 1400. Often referred to as "The Logic of Shem Tob", it ARGUES AGAINST THE BELIEF THAT JESUS IS GOD. It also argues against attributing the role of Messiah to Jesus. IT ALSO ARGUES AGAINST ATTRIBUTING THE ROLE OF MESSIAH TO JESUS."

For this reason Shem Tob's Hebrew Gospel of Matthew, which is included in this work, is considered the oldest surviving text of a New Testament book in HEBREW.

In 1987, Prof. George E. Howard said (pp. vii, 234) that the translation of the Gospel of Matthew in Shem Tob's work long predates the 14th century and may better represent the original text.

His view was rejected by W.L. Petersen and Petri Luomanen.[2]

What the American people have a right to know . . .

In April, New York funeral home directors blew the whistle about INFLATED coronavirus death numbers. Death certificates mark “COVID-19” as the cause of death even when the deceased hadn’t tested positive for coronavirus, much less actually died of the virus. A San Diego County, NY supervisor suggested the numbers are even more inflated.

Our Cash-Free Future Is Getting Closer

July 6, 2020

PARIS — On a typical Sunday, patrons at Julien Cornu’s cheese shop used to load up on Camembert and chèvre for the week, with about half the customers digging into their pockets for euro notes and coins.

But in the era of the coronavirus, cash is no longer à la mode at La Fromagerie, as social distancing requirements and concerns over hygiene prompt nearly everyone who walks through his door to pay with plastic.

“People are using cards and contactless payments because they don’t want to have to touch anything,” said Mr. Cornu, as a line of mask-wearing shoppers stood three feet apart before approaching the register and swiping contactless cards over a reader.

While cash is still accepted, even older shoppers — his toughest clientele when it comes to adopting digital habits — are voluntarily making the switch.

Cash was already being edged out in many countries as urban consumers paid increasingly with apps and cards for even the smallest purchases. But the coronavirus is accelerating a shift toward a cashless future, raising new calculations for merchants and enriching the digital payments industry.

Fears over transmission of the disease have compelled consumers to rethink how they shop and pay. Retailers and restaurants are favoring clicks over cash to reduce exposure for employees. China’s central bank sterilized bank notes in regions affected by the virus. And governments from India to Kenya to Sweden, as well as the United Nations, are promoting cashless payments in the name of public health.

“Time to swap your coins for payment cards — safer for containing coronavirus,” Valdis Dombrovskis, the European Commission vice-president for financial services, wrote on Twitter as Europe imposed quarantines.

Cash is certainly not dead. Before the pandemic, bills and coins were used for 80 percent of the transactions in Europe, and there are few signs that the pandemic is about to wipe it out.

Yet for a growing number of people sensitized by Covid-19 quarantines, cash is a fading routine.

“We’re living through an amazing global social experiment that is forcing governments, businesses and consumers to rethink their operating models and norms for social interactions,” said Morten Jorgensen, director of RBR, based in London, a consulting firm specializing in banking technology, cards and payments.

Anonymous said...

“We have a world in which there is less contact,” he said. “People’s habits are changing as we speak.”

Those dynamics are creating a golden moment for credit card companies, banks and digital platforms, which are capitalizing on the crisis to advance the cashless revolution by encouraging consumers and retailers to use cards and smartphone apps that yield lucrative fees. In Britain alone, retailers paid 1.3 billion pounds (about $1.7 billion) in third-party fees in 2018, up £70 million from the year before, according to the British Retail Consortium.

Payment and processing companies such as PayPal (whose stock is up about 55 percent this year) and Adyen, based in the Netherlands (up 72 percent), also stand to gain. So do data analytics and fraud prevention companies, and businesses that enable merchants to accept card payments.

Propelling the trend is a surge in online shopping as homebound consumers turn to digital tools for basic items. In the United States, 40 million customers went online for groceries in April. In Italy, where cash is king, the volume of e-commerce transactions has surged more than 80 percent, according to McKinsey & Company.

Credit card issuers are keeping the momentum rolling by working with banks and governments to lift ceilings on so-called contactless payments that allow shoppers to avoid touching a keypad.

Limits as low as 20 euros, originally intended to prevent thieves from being able to buy large amounts with a stolen or hacked card, were raised to 50 euros or more in France and other countries during quarantine, enticing shoppers to increase the number and value of their purchases.

At Mr. Cornu’s shop, people started buying an average of 35 euros worth of cheese after the contactless limit was raised, compared with around €10 before. Seniors who clung to cash for fear of having a card stolen or hacked started using tap-and-pay to buy just one or two items.

“The fact that the banks and card companies implemented this during confinement, and played on the idea that you don’t even have to touch the machine — people accepted it,” he said.

Visa reported a surge in contactless payments for basic items in Britain after limits there were lifted and a 100 percent increase from a year ago in the United States. Visa said it had also worked with governments in Greece, Ireland, Malta, Poland and Turkey to raise contactless payment limits in those countries.

Card companies don’t divulge fee earnings, but Mr. Jorgensen at RBR said issuers were probably raking in a handsome profit. The European Commission capped interchange fees in Europe last year at 0.2 percent of a transaction for debit cards and 0.3 percent for credit after a legal battle with Visa and Mastercard. But the rising volume of swipes helps compensate for the shortfall, he said.

Anonymous said...

At L’Entrepôt Saint-Claude, a cafe near the cheese shop, the owner, Emmanuel Mades, expected higher contactless payment limits to increase the amount of the fees he pays for card use. Since the restaurant reopened in early June, 90 percent of all tabs are paid by card, a jump from three-quarters before France went into quarantine in mid-March.

Back then, Mr. Mades was paying about 300 euros a month in card fees. With more people switching to contactless cards for even small bills, his expenses are likely “to rise significantly,” he said.

There is no medical evidence that cash transmits the virus. Nonetheless, “perceptions that cash could spread pathogens may change payment behavior by users and firms,” the Bank for International Settlements said in a recent study on the effect of Covid-19 on cash use.

Among those hoping to profit from the discomfort is Tappit, a British company that provides data gathering and cashless solutions such as wristbands and apps connected to a credit card for use at festivals, sporting matches and other events with large crowds.

Tappit, which honed its sales pitch during the pandemic to promote “No more dirty cash,” has experienced a surge in interest by sporting arenas, hotels and restaurants seeking to revive business quickly after lockdowns, said Jason Thomas, the chief executive.

“Some partners who were slightly fearful of going cashless have now decided this is an opportunity to do so,” Mr. Thomas said, noting that cashless technology allows lines to move faster and encourages more spending.

“The pandemic has kind of ripped the Band-Aid off of going cashless,” he said.

Tappit signed £20 million worth of new deals in the last two months, more than in any other period. “These are long-term contracts of between five to 10 years,” Mr. Thomas said. “That tells me that these organizations are never going back to cash.”

The authorities that manage the world’s currencies say the dangers of going fully cashless are rife. In tech-forward Sweden, cash has been disappearing so fast that Parliament and the central bank asked commercial banks to keep bills and coins circulating while they figure out what a cash-free future would mean.

Consumer groups warn that vulnerable people risk being marginalized. Many low-income earners and retirees, as well as some immigrants and people with disabilities, have little or no access to electronic payments and are increasingly shut out as banks cut back on A.T.M.s and customer service.

Central banks are looking at whether electronic currencies can replace physical cash. The Swedish Riksbank is testing a pilot version of a digital krona, or e-krona, that could keep the functions of a currency backed by the state.

“In certain economies, there is still a role for cash, because it continues to provide a benefit and a utility,” said John Velissarios of Accenture, which is helping to manage the Riksbank’s test. “That’s where the concept of things like digital central bank money is interesting,” he said.

While virtual euros and dollars are still a ways off, the shift in attitudes toward real cash brought on by the pandemic is unlikely to be reversed.

“Cash will...continue to decline, and Covid is accelerating that trend.” said Mr. Jorgensen.

Théophile Larcher contributed reporting from Paris.

5G Was Going to Unite the World—Instead It’s Tearing Us Apart

The world came together to build 5G. Now the next-generation wireless technology is pulling the world apart.

The latest version of the 5G technical specifications, expected Friday, adds features for connecting autonomous cars, intelligent factories, and internet-of-things devices to crazy fast 5G networks. The blueprints reflect a global effort to develop the technology, with contributions from more than a dozen companies from Europe, the US, and Asia.

And yet, 5G is also pulling nations apart—with the US and China anchoring the tug-of-war. Tensions between Washington and Beijing over trade, human rights, the handling of Covid-19, and Chinese misinformation are escalating global divisions around the deployment of 5G. A growing number of countries are aligning with either a Western or a Chinese version of the tech...

Warning about 5g from scientists & doctors in 40 counties
Over 180 scientists and doctors in almost 40 countries are warning the world about 5g health risks. These scientists’ response to “Resolution 1815 of the Council of Europe” spells it out quite succinctly:

“We, the undersigned scientists, recommend a moratorium on the roll-out of the fifth generation, 5g, until potential hazards for human health and the environment have been fully investigated by scientists independent from industry. 5g will substantially increase exposure to radio frequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMF)… and has been proven to be harmful for humans and the environment.”

Now, I know we're all living in the 'Twilight Zone'!!! LOL

Kanye West sets out his 2020 election platform: Rapper reveals he no longer supports Trump, will run for the 'Birthday Party' using the 'Wakanda management model' – and claims vaccines are 'the mark of the beast'... and plans to run either as a Republican or an Independent.

(Continued . . .)

Kanye West uses Black Panther 'Wakanda' to explain . . .

Kanye West has thrown his hat into the presidential race, and while he's light on actual policies at this point, he does have an idea of what his White House will look like and how it will function. In a new interview with Forbes, West talked about why he is running for President, what led to his willingness to run against Donald Trump and many other topics. During that conversation West compared his White House and the overall management model to a place Marvel fans know well, Black Panther's home of Wakanda, and you can read the reasoning for the comparison below.

“A lot of Africans do not like the movie [Black Panther] and representation of themselves in…Wakanda," West said. "But I’m gonna use the framework of Wakanda right now because it’s the best explanation of what our design group is going to feel like in the White House…That is a positive idea: you got Kanye West, one of the most powerful humans—I’m not saying the most because you got a lot of alien level superpowers and it’s only collectively that we can set it free."

Kanye West's run for President will definitely be like a 'comic book character' all right. The only scary part is that Elon Musk has vowed to help him do it.

(So, Kanye will be the 'spoiler' candidate... like Ross Perot back in 1992.)

Exhibit A for why I like Steven Pinker. Students tried to 'cancel' him for his views challenging various narratives, including the BLM org's claim about the racial disparity in police shootings (actually, more unarmed Whites per percentage of White offenders are shot/killed). Pinker believes in FACTS, not narratives, and isn't afraid to speak out, no matter what his personal views (in most cases). And, Noam Chomsky defended Pinker against the mob:

Zaid Jilani: Noam Chomsky REFUSES to cancel Steven Pinker, stands up for free speech

I'm assuming that in light of the above, and other recent incidents, various prominent figures sought to cancel 'cancel culture' (GREAT!). Oh, but the 'cancel culture' mob didn't like that, so they want to cancel canceling 'cancel culture':

Krystal and Saagar BLAST cancel culture meltdown over Chomsky, Rowling letter defending free speech

Of course, there are a number of rank hypocrites on the list, Rowling chief among them.

Krystal is woefully misinformed about both the number and socio-political makeup victims of 'cancel culture'. Conservatives or those further Right are the most likely to be victims of Leftist 'cancel culture' mobs, and Conservatives are less likely to 'cancel' Leftists. It's the Left that adheres to Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals", not the Right, generally speaking. The Left are much more apt to 'eat their own', as well.

A medical worker in Pennsylvania called-in to The Shepard Ambellas Show on Tuesday and explained to Shep and the listeners that her patients’ records have been taken over by the Electronic Medical Records system which she says now red flags and tracks COVID-positive status individuals.

The caller named Adrienne shared information on how the system now flags individuals who have tested positive.

“The system is taking control of how we operate our patient records,” she explained on air during the open lines segment of the live broadcast.

“When I logged in, one of the patients that went for testing, COVID testing, had a big red alert on her chart,” she said. “Generally we can take those away but the system did it automatically–it knew that she had gone for testing–not by our orders and it stated that ‘this is a COVID alert patient’ and then it gave me a dropdown as well to choose why this patient was a COVID alert patient.”

"The Rockefeller plan talks about this–they want to integrate it into all the medical records,” Ambellas explained. “It says they want to give every patient ‘a unique patient identification number that would link to information about a patient’s viral, antibody, and eventually vaccine status under a system that could easily handshake with other systems to speed the return of normal societal functions.'”

According to the actual plan: “Schools could link this to attendance lists, large office buildings to employee ID cards, TSA to passenger lists and concert and sports venues to ticket purchasers. Such connections should be made in a way that protects personally-identifying information whenever possible. For example, accessing the viral and antibody status of an individual can be done by using a cryptographic hash of an individual’s private information without actually sending any personally revealing details.”

“This infection database must easily interoperate with doctor, hospital, and insurance health records in an essential and urgent national program to finally rationalize the disparate and sometimes deliberately isolated electronic medical records systems across the country. Analytics across myriad platforms must be operationalized so that population-level health information can be used to identify at-risk populations, perform contact tracing, facilitate decision support, and evaluate interventions for effectiveness.“
— The Rockefeller Foundation

National Covid-19 Testing Action Plan: Pragmatic steps to reopen our workplaces and our communities

The plan, which is nothing more than a pretext to roll out the mark of the beast, insists it’s “bad news” that the United States is not conducting enough coronavirus testing on a weekly basis and insinuates it’s “good news” that the government will eventually have the tools needed to contact trace, tag, and track its populace.

“This will be a delicate balancing act,” the white paper states. “Reopening the economy will be most successful if we move decisively to both increase testing capacity and optimally deploy testing supplies.”

You see, the true architects of this plan are the men and women behind the proverbial curtain who ultimately want to see a fusion of government, business, philanthropy, and the public thus allowing the last few steps of their New World Order control grid to be stitched together so they can once and for all separate the serfdom from the ruling class.

Additionally, the caller said that she was concerned about the testing and said the only thing they are getting is “either negative or positive” results.

The Visiting Pastor

This is a story of a visiting pastor who attended a men's breakfast in the middle of a rural farming area of the country.

The group had asked an older farmer, decked out in bib overalls, to say grace for the morning breakfast.

"Lord, I hate buttermilk," the farmer began.

The visiting pastor opened one eye to glance at the farmer and wonder where this was going.
The farmer loudly proclaimed, "Lord, I hate lard."

Now the pastor was growing concerned.

Without missing a beat, the farmer continued, "And Lord, you know I don't much care for raw white flour."

The pastor once again opened an eye to glance around the room and saw that he wasn't the only one feeling uncomfortable.

Then the farmer added, "But Lord, when you mix them all together and bake them, I do love warm fresh biscuits.

So Lord, when things come up that we don't like, when life gets hard, when we don't understand what you're saying to us, help us to just relax and wait until you are done mixing. It will probably be even better than biscuits. Amen."

Within that prayer there is great wisdom for all when it comes to complicated situations like we are experiencing in the world today.

Stay strong, my friends, because Our Lord is mixing several things that we don't really care for, but something even better is going to come when HE is done with it.

Public housing with multiple units will be forced upon suburbs that are "too white," if they don't go along with the "plan," all Federal funding to the suburb will be cut off.

Translation: if you have worked hard all you life in order to be able to afford living in a peaceful suburb, you should not have that "right." Yes. However, Obama, the Soros plant, did all the heavy lifting to set the stage. Put lots of finishing touches on what that was already in place between Carter, Clinton, and the Bushes too. The Democrats had much RINO help or this wouldn't have gotten this far, this fast. But it is Obama who opened the floodgates and the damage is so widespread, the country so undermined, it will usher the completely stupid puppet candidate Biden right in. Only the Almighty can turn back this clock. And don't know that He will. America is ripe for judgment...(well that is how it appears to me anyway).

And now for the News

Anonymous,

The original Hebrew for "made" in verse 16 actually means "made to appear, made visible." The Hebrew word for “create” is bara, meaning to create, as from nothing – true creation. However, the word used in verse 16 is asah, which means to “make” or “fashion” a thing from pre-existing elements. The sun and moon were originally created "in the beginning."

Have you read David Flynn? Or Tom Van Flandern of NASA? Van Flandern' theory is that the asteroid belt (between Mars and Jupiter) was once a planet. It had exploded a long time ago, and that explosion blew out chunks that made a mess in our solar system. They think that THAT was the event that did in the dinosaurs and our Pre-Adamic planet full of cities and angels. It was the real Star Wars, a war. God somehow caused that planet to blow. What's left is the belt. What I never could figure out, is if the incomprehensibly violent dinosaurs were made by God, or the other one. And what of these Neanderthals? Then there are the megaliths, built by giants who evidently knew how to build things that could survive cataclysms (the pyramids, Stonehenge, Tihuanaco, etc).

"The Septuagint translation of the Old Testament Hebrew into the Greek language circa 250 B.C., during the reign of Ptolemy Philadelphus of Egypt indicates this creature is some kind of dinosaur, obviously."

Here I agree with you about living dinosaurs. If you go to Genesis Park online, you will see visible proof that they must have mingled with us, even up until the late middle ages! And while Dr. Hugh Ross says Behemoth was a crocodile, I would tell him about Mokele Mbembe and the reports coming from Papua New Guinea!

I must disagree with your comment that animals and Adam were made 6000 years ago. That cannot be. There is proof of water marks on the Sphinx that date back 10,000 years. Also the Chinese have records that go back almost 5000 years. For me, it's to early. It's estimated that Noah was around 10-12,000 years ago, before the Ice Age started.

Every time you guys look at the full moon on a night, you'll see the pock marks and damage. That is a reminder of the original 'star wars'. You can also see the giant asteroid mark in Arizona, another reminder of that rebellion. By the way, now we know where stoning originated when it was first described in the Mosaic law. Stoning (asteroids) is for rebellion.

Here is the first part of the article that wasn't there:

MACRO TOPIC 1.3

People before Adam

Prehistoric life before 4000 BC

Questions

Answered here from the Bible

*Was Adam was the first person on earth?

*What's the explanation for cities older than Adam now being discovered?

*Was the world a perfect paradise – not even any death – before Adam sinned?

*Do we have to choose between Bible and science?

Discovery

See what the Bible actually says

This Discovery section searches the Bible for answers to questions above and provides information for intelligent and persuasive conversations with doubters and unbelievers

Bible doesn't explicitly say Adam was first human

Genesis 1:27 says, 'God created man [generic] in his own image, male and female he created them.'

In the next chapter, Genesis 2:8 says, 'Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man [individual] he had formed.'

Thousands of years could have elapsed between Genesis 1 and Genesis 2, and the Bible specifically says that Adam was not created in the Garden of Eden as most traditional Christians believe.

The Bible does not compel an interpretation that makes Adam the first human. Adam was the first sinner (see 1.4) but not necessarily the first person.

Topic is threatening

Many traditional Christians – and their leaders and institutions – are threatened by discussion about people who lived before Adam because it could disrupt some long-held church doctrines:

✦ Age of earth and six-day creation

✦ Perfect world, and no death, before Adam's sin

✦ Original sin (every human born guilty because of Adam's sin)

However, the issue can no longer be ignored in light of all that archaeology has uncovered in the past fifty years. The evidence is now overwhelming that there was human activity on earth long before 4000 BC.

Big picture

Most traditional Christians have a limited view of earth's history and focus almost entirely on events in the Mediterranean and European regions during the past four thousand years.

It is helpful to step back and look at the long global picture....

In retrospect, however, to be more clear, I should've said that that (sub)title

was chosen as reflecting the position posited by the article's author and that the matter brought up by him needed to be addressed and whether his answers turn out to be lacking or no, they can at least perhaps provide some food for thought on the path to finding the CORRECT answers. He may be VASTLY wrong in his answers BUT EVEN IF HE IS: THE FOSSIL RECORDS ETC. STILL NEED TO BE HARMONIZED WITH THE BIBLE!

Dr. Taylor Marshall who is the person in the second video above posted this video today about two churches sabotaged yesterday. Most of us will not agree with his theology, emphasis on relics, etc., but there is no mistaking the importance of recognizing that anti-God and anti-Church persecution is growing. Churches being burned with people inside -- apparent very dangerous times we are entering.

I'm also thinking about the McCloskey family in St. Louis, Missouri who have been on the news several times lately as angry mobs surrounded their obviously elegant large home. Mobs were screaming that they were going to occupy rooms in their home. Their calls to 911 were ignored and when they finally went out with their rifles to show they would defend their home, the local prosecutor instead requested and obtained a warrant to seize their rifles and charge them with "feloious assault" for the "crime" of defending their own property.

The spirit of mob violence has clearly been unleashed and unless God holds it back, things will increase to the level mentioned by the priest in the first video above.

I will blog the video about the churches burning. To be certain, it is loaded with traditional Catholic rhetoric, but as a sign of the times, it is crucial information that certainly is not getting major media attention it deserves.

My husband and I have been married for about 7 years now. We were happily married with two kids, a boy and a girl. 3 months ago, I started to notice some strange behavior from him and a few weeks later I found out that my husband is seeing someone. He started coming home late from work, he hardly cared about me or the kids anymore, Sometimes he goes out and doesn't even come back home for about 2-3 days. I did all I could to rectify this problem but all to no avail. I became very worried and needed help. As I was browsing through the Internet one day, I came across a website that suggested that Dr Osita can help solve marital problems, restore broken relationships and so on. So, I felt I should give him a try. I contacted him and he did a spell for me. Two days later, my husband came to me and apologized for the wrongs he did and promised never to do it again. Ever since then, everything has returned back to normal. My family and I are living together happily again.. All thanks to Dr Osita. If you need a spell caster that can cast a spell that truly works, I suggest you contact him. He will not disappoint you.
