RADIO TRIBUTES TO JOAN VEON'S MONUMENTAL WORK TONIGHT

Happily, Joan Veon's monumental work informing the rest of us of critical developments in the financial world that might have gone over non-mathematical heads such as mine, is not going unrecognized.  John Loeffler did a tribute to her work on his show.  Barry Chamish will be interviewing me on his radio program tonight about Joan's work and its importance.  That is from 6 to 7 eastern time, 3 to 4 Pacific time.  Then my program will feature the indomitable John Loeffler (host of Steel on Steel) and myself bringing out strong points about Joan's work that she would give herself if she were a guest tonight, as she was from time to time in the past.

Below is the text of Joan's official obituary:

On October 18, 2010, with her husband Rod holding her hand, Joan answered her Master’s call and slipped quietly away to be with her Lord and Savior after a courageous three year battle with breast cancer. She was 61 years old.
Joan’s remarkable life began in Racine WI on May 17, 1949, born as a twin with Raymond, to Albert A. and Mary A. (Parino) Yocco. On March 22, 1963 Joan asked Jesus to come into her heart and be her Lord and Savior, after which she dedicated her life to doing God’s will.
Joan is a graduate of Horlick High School, class of ’67, continued on to attend Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, then finished her education at Geneva College in Beaver Falls PA earning her Bachelor’s degree in Business.
While living in PA she met Roderick W Veon whom she married on August 13, 1977. Joan and Rod lived in the Pittsburgh area before moving into the Washington DC area. For the past 8 years they have resided in Middletown MD.
Joan’s career began as an executive secretary in the International Department at J I Case Company. Upon earning her business degree she worked as a Certified Financial Planner in PA, The IDS and Windsor Financial Group in MD, before incorporating and opening Veon Financial Services, Inc. in the spring of 1986.
As Joan studied financial trends she began to notice an alignment indicating a world currency. Joan prayed diligently for God to show her truth and in 1994 the Lord opened the door for her to attend her first global meeting on Population Control in Cairo Egypt, initiating her first glimpse of world government. Thus beginning Joan’s second career as a credentialed, independent, International Journalist reporting for USA Radio News Network. During the next 16 years the Lord opened doors for Joan to interview and ask key questions of prime ministers, presidents, kings, and heads of state. At times, as the only American reporter, Joan covered over 103 international meetings, including: the G7, G8, G10, G20, and Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in Basel Switzerland; attended yearly the World Economic Forum in Davos Switzerland; and twice a year covered the IMF World Bank meetings. In addition she attended UN meetings on the Free Trade Areas of the Americas, Sustainable Development, the Earth Summit, Climate Control, the International World Court, and numerous others. Following the UN conference on Sustainable Development in Istanbul Joan was compelled to write her first book “Prince Charles, the Sustainable Prince” published in 1997, followed by her second book “Global Straitjacket” in 1999. Joan founded The Women’s International Media Group, a non-profit organization, in 1998 to share her vast knowledge and understanding of world government. In addition Joan also wrote a monthly newsletter, produced many DVDs on global topics, appeared as a regular guest speaker on hundreds of radio talk shows and was invited to be a keynote speaker for various meetings around the world. Most recently Joan wrote articles for newswithviews.net. Though small in stature, Joan was a giant warrior and devout patriot.
Joan is survived by the love of her life and best friend husband, Rod, her mother, Mary A. Yocco of Watonga OK, twin brother, Raymond A. Yocco of Racine WI, sisters Pat (Pablo) Ramirez of Watonga OK, Debi Massegee of Owasso OK, Judy Yocco of Phoenix AZ, Carrie (Greg) France of Watonga OK, brother John Yocco of Racine WI, in-laws Ralph and Mary Veon of Beaver Falls, PA, sisters in-law Carol (Gene) Whalen of Enon Valley PA and Lynn (Bill) Allen of DeLand FL. She is further survived by many precious nieces and nephews, cousins and dearly loved friends. She was proceeded in death by her beloved father, Albert Yocco, brothers-in-law Rodney Pierce, Jerry Massegee and a niece Joy Yocco.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Purath-Strand Funeral Home, Douglas Av at 3 Mile Rd. in Racine, WI. Services to be held on Monday, October 25, 2010, at 11 a.m., at Calvary Memorial Church, 4001 Washington Avenue in Racine, WI. Pastor Butch Paugh officiates. Interment to follow at West Lawn Cemetery.
“As an international reporter I have made it a point to ask the crucial questions in order that the unspoken agenda may be put into words. I have also sought to keep abreast of evolving global changes, how the world will be affected, and to report what is truth.” Joan Veon
Donations in Joan’s honor can be made to the Women’s International Media Group, Inc.,

To my readers:

Unbeknownst to me there was a form of "comment removal" on my blogspot. Google had a "spam detector" except the vast majority of what they detected as "spam" was not. JD just called this to my attention and I went in and hopefully corrected the problem so that legitimate comments are posted with the "Puma Shoes" and "gold" ones going to the spam box where they deserve to be.

I truly did not know this was happening. JD, being the genius he is, caught it. It caused much dissension on the board and hopefully everybody now understands.

Interesting comment on Javier Solana and his praise of strengthened powers for Ukraine president. Columnist feels this is the type of power that leads to Stalin / Hitler type dictatorships. She strongly comments on Solana's encouragement of same:

"
History shows that what in the beginning seemed a concession to circumstances ends with receding from a position – for example, legislative assemblies under Napoleon Bonapart, or councils under Josef Stalin.

"Javier Solana, the European Union’s former foreign policy czar, mentioned that the recent Constitutional Court ruling, which boosted Yanukovych’s powers, made such changes with positive intentions. The rationale is that Ukraine needs effective management, missing during the president of Viktor Yuschenko, from 2005-2010.

"'Life is very complex, competition is growing. That is why a good management system is fundamentally crucial for Ukraine,' Solana was quoted by the Korrespondent magazine as saying.

"But what it will cost Ukraine in the long-run – how much freedom it will have to sacrifice and which concessions it will have to make – remains an open question."

Joan Veon was indeed a watchman.

Laying out the importance and expectations of the job, Scottish pastor, Horatius Bonar (1808-1889), preached a solid defense of why it is important to expose sin and deception in whatever guise it assumes. (I've included an excerpt of Bonar's sermon below.)

Yet, without a sure foundation in the truth, without a secure and well tested relationship with Jesus Christ, many so-called "watchmen" are incapable of actually caring for the flock. They only pretend to be on duty, barking vociferously at every fluttering leaf. But when real danger approaches these scarecrows fall strangely silent, caught looking the wrong way or blindly staring into the headlights.

This comment page has always been a mix of those who know the truth, those who are seeking the truth, those who merely pretend to know the truth, and those who outright reject and detest the truth. That's just the way it is.

The following is from:

http://www.shepherd.to/excerpts/bonar/thy-way.htm

The Watchman

"...if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.’ ... I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me." Ezekiel 33:6-7

"Some one, then, must undertake the ungracious task of probing and laying bare the evils of the age; for men must not be allowed to congratulate themselves that all is well. If others will not, he will.

If others shrink from the obloquy of such a work, he will not.... He loves his fellow-men too well. They may upbraid him; they may call him a misanthropist, or a prophet of evil; they may ascribe his warnings to the worst of motives, such as pride, or arrogance, or self-esteem, or malice, or envy; but he will give no heed to these unjust insinuations.

He will prefer being thus misunderstood and maligned, to allowing men to precipitate themselves upon a ruin which they see not. Rather than that they should perish, he will allow his own good name to be spoken against. He will risk every thing, even the hatred of brethren, rather than withhold the warning. If they give no heed to it, he has, at least, saved his own soul. If they do, he has saved both his own soul and theirs.

He would rather take up the glad tidings of peace, and tell men of Him who came the first time for shame and death, and who is coming the second time for glory and dominion; but he feels as one who has a special and personal message to deliver, which cannot be postponed.

He must remember that he is a watchman; and, having seen danger pressing on, he must not hesitate to make it known. He must speak his message of forewarning and rebuke, sparing no arrows, and neither smoothing down nor hiding any form of sin, but laying his finger upon every sore, and beseeching men to turn from their ungodliness. The evils around him press upon him sadly; the coming evils are foreshadowed upon his spirit, and, therefore, he lifts up his voice like a trumpet.

Satan has many snares which need to be detected; the world has many spells and lures which must be disenchanted; religion has many guises which must be unmasked, many devious paths of inconsistency which must be pointed out, many cherished errors which must be condemned, many carnal taints which must be abhorred and shunned. All these he must protest against without fear or favour."

that would be a great sermon if it was relevant to this situation...

problem it isn't ...
this great man of God lived in the 1800's and was not versed with the giant octopus the new world order is...

you see, there are just too many NGO's and decievers, and alleys, and rabbit trails and rabbit holes...

this is intended to DISTRACT us and to MAKE us LEARN the religion of the satanists...

it is also to send us into a tail spin, sap our strength by chasing a BILLION loose ends, when all we have to do is learn the basics, and keep an eye on it...

not pick every chunk out of vomit and examine them...

in the old days all they had to do was speak the word sodomy in court, they did not speak about every lurid detail, they knew to speak of these acts in detail would defile the pure, by painting pictures in the mind, thereby causing one to fall and sin...

the reason you dwell on all these things, and love these people is because you are evil, and having your conscience seared with a hot iron, are unreachable to our pleas to save yourself, so we have moved on to exposing your evil...

Someone should really reread their Bible. The Apostles were all well versed in the workings of other religions and it was on this basis that they refuted them. The problem with the church today is that most have no clue as to how to identify the enemy of their faith and as such have no method available for refutation. Has one forgotten that most examples given in the new testament of preaching the gospel include direct refutation of what others were doing at the time?

Can this problem also be corrected?

I am not a proponent of going back and re-examining a pool of vomit to see if there are any new chunks in it, or to see if it has changed consistency. The greatest deceptions are not in pools of well examined vomit, but behind the white washed curtains within our own churches and synagogues. The greatest sin of our age is calling good "evil", and calling evil "good".

I was prevented from including my own opinion of the Bonar sermon by the "URL too long" limitation. My comments would have detracted from Bonar's words of encouragement anyway, as well as the subject matter of Joan Veon's life work.

Anyway, here's what I would add to Bonar's sermon...

Without a sure foundation in the truth, without a secure and well tested relationship with Jesus Christ, many so-called "watchmen" are incapable of actually caring for the flock. They only pretend to be on duty, barking vociferously at every fluttering leaf. But when real danger approaches, all these wanabees, these scarecrows, fall strangely silent, caught looking the wrong way or blindly staring into the headlights.

This comment page has always been a mix of those who know the truth, those who are earnestly seeking the truth, those who merely pretend to know the truth, and those who either openly or secretly detest the truth.

Unfortunately Blogger gives no indication as to why these particular posts are being labeled as spam. I have and have encouraged Constance to report the errors to Google. The spam filter is very basic with no way of adjusting sensitivity, so this is about all anyone can do.

The URL request errors, and post size errors are something everyone on Blogger is currently having problems with. The help page is littered with requests on how to fix the issue, but thus far Google will only say that they are aware of the problem and are working on it.

I wish I had more solutions for everyone. All can at least rest a little easier knowing that the problems have been identified and individuals are not being targeted by any one here.

I unashamedly confess to having "fundamentalist beliefs" -- the fundamentals of our faith are important to me and should be to every believer. I emphatically DENY anti-Semitism of any type which I have always fervently fought. The Microeffect gave me a platform and a sponsor. I have no money of my own and so far out of respect for the message and information sometimes shocking I must deliver, have resisted "passing the hat" for contributions. I will tell you right now that often the need has been desperate. We are not wealthy -- we are just getting by and sometimes not too well at that.

Consider my two hours per week on THE MICROEFFECT.COM as REMEDIAL ACTION. Yes, there are anti-Semites on there with whom I have had angry confrontations, e.g. Mark Koernke, etc.

At least during my time on the air, they are given solid reasons why antiSemitism is contrary to the will of God.

G-20 Agrees to ‘Biggest Reform’ of IMF, Strengthens Global Role

Oct. 24 (Bloomberg) -- The Group of 20 agreed to overhaul the International Monetary Fund, increasing its role in managing the world economy and giving emerging nations more say in how the organization is run.

More than 6 percent of IMF voting rights will be reallocated to countries such as China, while Europe will give up two board seats, G-20 finance ministers said yesterday after meeting in Gyeongju, South Korea. They also assigned the Washington-based fund a role in monitoring global trade imbalances and exchange rates.

This is the “biggest reform” of IMF governance since the institution was created in 1945, IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn said. “The world is changing, there will be other reforms. But certainly today we put an end to a discussion” about the fund’s legitimacy.

The changes reflect the shift in global economic power in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis as emerging markets gain heft with investors, and within the institutions that were set up after World War II to govern the world economy.

Food Prices Expected to Rise Sharply

Everyone is waiting for inflation

Corn is up 45 percent the last three months. We haven't seen cotton prices this high since after the Civil War. Soybeans are up. Oil is up. Metals are up. So are coffee and cocoa.

In this era of massive liquidity, everything is up, except for food prices—specifically processed food (made from many of the same commodities and other ingredients whose prices have risen).

According to the USDA, that is going to change. In its most recent CPI report for food, the USDA reported that prices are expected to rise in 2011.

Global food crisis forecast as prices reach record highs

Cost of meat, sugar, rice, wheat and maize soars as World Bank predicts five years of price volatility

Rising food prices and shortages could cause instability in many countries as the cost of staple foods and vegetables reached their highest levels in two years, with scientists predicting further widespread droughts and floods.

Although food stocks are generally good despite much of this year's harvests being wiped out in Pakistan and Russia, sugar and rice remain at a record price.

Global wheat and maize prices recently jumped nearly 30% in a few weeks while meat prices are at 20-year highs, according to the key Reuters-Jefferies commodity price indicator. Last week, the US predicted that global wheat harvests would be 30m tonnes lower than last year, a 5.5% fall. Meanwhile, the price of tomatoes in Egypt, garlic in China and bread in Pakistan are at near-record levels.

"The situation has deteriorated since September," said Abdolreza Abbassian of the UN food and agriculture organisation. "In the last few weeks there have been signs we are heading the same way as in 2008.

That's interesting because those who are socially active are those who don't think for themselves. They want to fit into their peer group. It's only when a person moves away from group think programmed into a person by the culture can they grow intellectually.

Check it out. This was picked up from Drudge.

ALL OF THEM BAD OLD SCIENTISTS TARGETING LITTLE OLD YOU. THEY ARE SUCH MEANIES....

"The study was led by UCSD's James Fowler and focused on 2,000 subjects from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health. Scientists matched the subjects' genetic information with "maps" of their social networks. According to researchers, they determined that people "with a specific variant of the DRD4 gene were more likely to be liberal as adults." However, the, subjects were only more likely to have leanings to the left if they were also socially active during adolescence.

"It is the crucial interaction of two factors -- the genetic predisposition and the environmental condition of having many friends in adolescence -- that is associated with being more liberal,” according to the study.

By the way, are you saying liberals and homosexuals and alcoholics aren't programmed and they all choose their lifestyles out of free will? Could be. But that would put you in the politically Conservative Christian and Orthodox Jewish camp. Just how are you siding with homosexuals and alcoholics. Inquiring minds want to know.

Hi Craig

Excellent article on that blogsite.

If the Anonymous squabble could rest for a while, maybe someone could let me know if they got a chance to watch the video I mentioned.

This was the comment I left:

"Please check out this Video from Roger Oakland of Calvary Chapel which speaks powerfully about the present gradual decline and apostasy of the Evangelical protestant Church, proving why it is apostate and where its roots lie. Well worth listening to.

Chingford, Constance has made it a point of saying there is room for everyone's interests here. Christianity with or without a connection to New Age is often commented on here, but it is not the sole topic of this blog. Many links that are posted here never get a comment in response. Trust that those solely interested in Christianity who read here will read what you have posted.

Catholics, please note where Oakland is coming from.

He's another...
"Several years ago, I met with Roger Oakland while we were still based in California. Roger had been teaching on the Emerging Church and its connections to Rome. When I first saw him, I asked: "Do you think this is the continuation of the Counter Reformation?" His immediate answer was, "Yes ..."

I for one would like to know of the one "anonymous" what he makes of these scriptures (1 Corinthians, chapter 10, KING JAMES VERSION) which it looks like Roger Oakland may have overlooked:

16The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

17For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

18Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?

19What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?

20But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

21Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

22Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?

anon 1:02,

This is another protestant/Catholic difference. Catholics believe the wine and the bread become Christ's blood and body while Protestants believe that it was a symbolic representation. We could debate this all you want and not change our minds.

Christ called himself many things as Roger points out.

I have believed for many years and still to this day that the Pope and Bishops will help usher in the the Anti-Christ. Making statements like "Jerusalem is not for the Jews" just further substantiates my thoughts.

Where is Suzanne? Did the Catholic bashers scare her off. She is a valuable contributor here, as JD will attest.

Dear Constance

Why is it that you always support the Catholic position over and above that of evangelical Bible believing Christians who take the Bible as their authority rather than church tradition?

I was informed that you were a protestant and not ecumenical. However, It is clear from the comments you make that you are either a Catholic or ecumenical with a strong leaning towards the RC.

If (as other have said) you do not promote one over the other, why do you always attack our comments but never attack the comments of Catholics,

I used to write here but gave up because I felt I was casting my pearls before swine. Jesus told us not to do this because our pearls would be trodden underfoot and we would be attacked. This is how it feels on your site.

The first time I have written in about 6 months, I immediately get attacked and set upon. Where is your equality and fairness?

Unless this changes you will never see me again on this site. Where is the Christian love and compassion we should be showing one another. We are instructed to be "kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another" also "let your speech be gracious, seasoned with salt". Actually, your blog is more like a war field

Dear Constance,

I need to correct something I just said.

I said you always attack our comments. That should have read "you only ever criticise our comments (whenever you make a criticism) but never criticise comments made by Catholics."

I am referring to the comments you used to make 6 months ago when I last wrote on your blog.

At that time I was consistently attacked by your Catholic contributors for the things I wrote. Some of what they wrote was downright NASTY.

You NEVER said anything against those comments, but if a Protestant said something, you DID make comments.

Your last comment speaks volumes about your support of Catholics

I speak those words out of a heart full of compassion and concern. I am deeply troubled by the way the "so called " Christians attack each other on this site.

I write these things to highlight something serious. Some of my Christian brethren have used this site and come away hurt and confused by the way they have been treated. THIS concerns me.

I am trying to make the point that if this site is a "christian" site, why such animosity?

As I said, if this animosity continues I see no purpose in participating on this site any further.

So, I guess (again) I am saying goodbye and God bless
