Events today should make us all reflect

Today in human history:

It is time we all woke up and figuratively "smelled the coffee" -- those pangs are unquestionably occurring -- and intensifying!

Stay tuned!

A volcano in Chile erupted, record floods in the Midwest along with scalar electrical storms, think HAARP and more rain is on the way.

Charges were made by some Chinese that a system like HAARP caused their earth quake, nothing came of it to my knowledge. If timing is everything seems our rain problems started after their quake. China has what we have and Russia had it first.

If a 500 million population is ideal the current disasters, if the present trend continues will have a positive affect for the elite including making corn ethanol more cost effective.

I read we no longer have any meaningful wheat reserves which puts us at risk and especially since the corn crop isn't in or is threatened.

If I were a cynic...

I agree Constance, time to wake up, thanks for all your hard work.

Constance: Am very interested in knowing what you have to say about SCP. I remember you touching on the subject in passing a few months ago. I've read their Journals and Newsletters off and on for a long time, and always considered them to be committed Christians, thoughtfully covering the New Age Movement and its attempts to infiltrate the many aspects of our culture. Shalom, Will.
thanks Will you started with the first question!
Tuesday June, 17: farmer interviews CONSTANCE CUMBEY with YOUR questions... after listening so many interviews of the guests of Constance, the time has come, that WE ask HER.
I am very glad she allowed me to confront her with want you want know from her and her extraordinary interesting life.

You can send your question(s) you want ask Constance
in advance to farmer at
or post it on the comment section of the post at
I await your input - please do not hesitate, the interview will be broadcasted at
tuesday 5pm, Eastern time.

Dear KCK,

I rather suspect that God controls the climate, the weather, and earth shifts and He is sending us all a wake up call.

Will we respond in time?

There were also quakes in Greece and Algeria and the border of Lebanon border and Northern Israel. These all happened within the the last two weeks. There's a huge fault that runs through the Mediterranean region.

It's interesting that Ireland rejected the treaty. They got a substantial amount of help from the EU early on and their economy is now doing well with lots of US corporations headquartered there. Dublin is a business friendly place and has really done well.

See today's IHT article:

Any insights into what " on the arms of a flood" might mean?
I've heard a few things but it's unclear to me.

Could it be a flood of propaganda?

By the way it's Daniel 11:21-22

It's interesting that Ireland rejected the treaty. They got a substantial amount of help from the EU early on and their economy is now doing well with lots of US corporations headquartered there. Dublin is a business friendly place and has really done well.

The Irish are a practical people who are by nature independent, skeptical, and distrustful of political authority (including their own elected authority). They don't like being told what to do. If you read about how this treaty was marketed to the Irish electorate you will get a real political education.

A decade and a half of prosperity courtesy of grants from Brussels--and its ensuing consumerist intoxication and apathy--cannot radically alter the character of a people whose national character has been shaped by eight hundred years of foreign oppression and, up until 15 years ago, generations of grinding poverty and mass outward emigration.

I would urge you to read my post from yesterday (previous thread) about Ireland's role in salvation history. If you search on the word "Knock" you will find it.

The long and the short is, there is far more at work in yesterdaý's vote than meets the eye.

A point about the IHT article: this comment is misleading:

Reacting with frustration Friday, other European countries said they would try to press ahead for a plan to make the Lisbon Treaty work...

The article is referring to the political leaders of other European countries, not the citizens. Ireland was the only country allowed to vote on this treaty and this was only because a referendum was required under the Irish constitution. Given a choice, the Irish pols would never have voluntarily put this out for a vote. Go to to see how the electorate all over the EU were shafted by their political leaders who railroaded this treaty through.

Because of the unique position Ireland found itself in, the Irish electorate were, in effect, voting on behalf of nearly 500 million disenfranchised EU voters.

A real victory for democracy on Thursday, 12 June 2008.

Thanks for the neat summation of the Irish "character".
Now it's easy to clearly understand them and their motives. I can see how my Dad fits into the mold perfectly.

Maybe you could try summing up some other races, like the Jews for instance. That would make everything easier.

you guys rock.
Paul, I love your insights. I enjoy your wit. You are very bright, but being entangled in these disputes is hurting you and not them. Ignore and again I say Ignore. “Let this little light of” yours shine again.
Hope you will receive this as it is intended, BROTHER?
Drudge linked to an article about abc tv asking if civilization ends this century. It looked interesting. Ånd they promoted a website .
Hi bjorn-
So happy to read of your up-coming role as interviewer on Constance's program. Much of our vacation to this point has left us without access to the internet. Hopefully, next week, while in Yellowstone, I'll be able to tune in for the program. Praying for you all. -Rudi
Yes, I saw your post. I suppose you read the book "How the Irish Saved Civilization". I have not read the whole book, although I own it. I know that the Irish were said to have preserved all the ancient manuscripts when the rest of Europe was overtaken by barbarians.

Another interesting fact is when the Israeli-Lebanese war broke out recently, one of the manuscripts found preserved in Ireland from the Latin Vulgate from the year 1000 and something A.D. was Psalm 83. Here is a couple of verses from the Psalm but I encourage you to read all of it. Very prophetic:

They make shrewd plans against Your people,
And conspire together against Your treasured ones. They have said, “Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation,
That the name of Israel be remembered no more.” For they have conspired together with one mind;
Against You they make a covenant: Ps 83:3-5

How appropos!

I should add that because they saved the manuscripts the gospel was sent out from there. I visited a spot where the boats went out to bring the gospel to the rest of Europe, never to return.

Ireland still has a fair amount of Bible believers compared to a lot of other European countries which are neo-pagan.

I will add one more thing Rose. I know the other people were shafted. The last time the EU Constitution was put to a vote, France and Holland voted it down. Nicholas Sarkozy came in and decided he would bypass the people. I guess Holland did the same. The EU system is so complex and people over there are so busy just living their lives and striking when they have job cuts or want higher salaries, I suspect most of them don't have the time or inclination to figure out what's going on. Having said that, if it were put to a vote again, I suspect these countries would have done the same as Ireland.

It doesn't appear that the common people have much to say at all about the EU. The French pride themselves on "Liberty, Equality & Brotherhood" ( a freemason saying) but the truth is they are not so free. They have the illusion of freedom by manifesting their anger in strikes and car-burnings. They think Americans are ignorant about our leaders, but many have been brainwashed into aetheism and agnosticism and they don't realize it.

I attribute this to the heavy influence of masonry in Europe, at least in France and Belgium and Britain.

One example:

I've learned so much from visiting your blog, and I think the Lord has led me to find you.

I think you should set yourself up with a You Tube channel. You would be able to spread your message to a broader audience who need to know the truth.

I believe we only have a window as far as freedom on the internet before it it regulated. Spread the word before that window is closed.

God Bless
For any French speakers, this version is more interesting:

They are speaking about the Mediterranean basin.

Maybe you could try summing up some other races, like the Jews for instance.

I am able to speak with authority about the Irish because of my own background--including many years of academic reading and study.

Although I lived in Jewish neighborhoods for many years, I've never lived in Israel and I'm not Jewish myself, so I wouldn't be able to speak with the same kind of credibility about Jews.

Joyce or Dorothy would be a better source of informed commentary in this regard.

I suppose you read the book "How the Irish Saved Civilization". I have not read the whole book, although I own it. I know that the Irish were said to have preserved all the ancient manuscripts when the rest of Europe was overtaken by barbarians.

That's a good book -- Cahill is a popularizer as opposed to a scholar, but the book itself is very good. A key to understanding Ireland that Cahill underscores is that Irish culture was never Romanized.

He also wrote "Gifts of the Jews" -- which I have not read, but intend to at some point--that book may be of interest to you also.

It doesn't appear that the common people have much to say at all about the EU.

A good summation--your observations in this post largely match what I see here on the ground.

The latest word is that Brian Cowan is going to Brussels for an emergency meeting early next week, where he will be told in no uncertain terms to put the treaty up for another vote--hoping to wear down the electorate until he gets the result he and his government want.

Yes, that's what I got out of it too.

Some of the fascination with the Irish on the more negative side has led to a renewal of Celtic Spirituality which is actually nature worship. That seems to be a theme that has come out in the Emergent Churches. It's hard to sort through some of that and know how much of that permeated the ancient communities of believers.

I didn't know Cahill wrote a book about the Jews, but could be interesting. There's an old Simon Grenzel book about the History of the Jews from Babylon that made the NY Times bestseller list. My recollection is that it's well documented historically.

In Northern Ireland the Protestants relate to Israel and the Catholics to the Palestinians. Go figure?
Yes, there's too much at stake. I don't think the rest of the EU will take Ireland's rejection laying down, but we'll have to wait and see.

The subject of "Irish Studies" is just so vast.

In the event your own Irish heritage may have piqued your interest in learning about the Irish people, I would recommend the following books:

The Irish Diaspora in America by Lawrence McCaffrey

The Vanishing Irish by John O'Brien

Protestant, Catholic, Jew by Will Herberg

The Irish Mind ed. R. Kearney

Jaywalking with the Irish by David Monaghan (Irish-American journalist)

Rethinking Irish History ed. O'Mahony

James Joyce (the classic literary biography) by Richard Ellman

Dublin Tenement Life by Kevin C. Kearns

Anything by Professor Kerby Miller

In addition to the Cahill book Joyce mentioned in a previous post, another great popularizer was the late novelist Leon Uris who wrote "Trinity." He did a lot to single-handedly educate Americans about Irish history.

Note there are three very interesting Irish-Jewish connections above--Herberg, Ellman, and Uris.

The American Conference on Irish Studies has a great website.

Maybe Dorothy or Joyce could help with a similar list about Jewish culture? I would be interested in that myself.

Irish paganism before the advent of St. Patrick was no different in substance from any other form of paganism anywhere else in the world.

It's definitely become "trendy" amongst some New Agers, some with Irish heritage and others who are merely "wannabes." I've noticed a lot of syncretic ostensibly Christian books that utilize Celtic (Druidic) spirituality. Maybe for historical reasons it's seen as more palatable/marketable/"pure" than other forms of European paganism.

The Celtic cross is now being used as a symbol by some Neo-Nazis apparently. This is very sad but the Irish cannot let such vile groups co-opt their history and culture.

I would start with the obvious, the Bible, but in addition to understand the profound effect of Hellenization on Second Temple Judaism, it's good to read the book of Maccabees in the Apocraphya to learn about the story Hanukah or the Feast of Dedication in John 10:22 , and the works of Josephus, a Jewish historian that worked for the Romans.

Besides the book by Grenzel that I mentioned in my other post, and books on the Shoah, biographies and historical accounts of the Shoah from Jewish and Christian perspective "Night" by Elie Wiesel, "The Diary of Anne Frank" for classics. "The Twisted Cross" by Doris L. Bergen, talks about the church in Nazi Germany.

The Talmud and Mishnah can give insight into Jewish views. "The preacher and the teacher," is a conversation between a Rabbi and a Pastor. I don't remember the author and am not home at the moment.

I've mentioned before here Daniel Gruber's "Copernicus and the Jews" Daniel is a Messianic believer who examines the differences between Christian and Jewish interpretation of the Scriptures from a Hebrew perspective.

You can also read about famous rabbis like Rashi and Rambam to understand other periods of European and North African Judaism. I don't have a specific suggestion about these, but I would also read about the Sabbateans.

It's probably good to read up on Kabbalah, the mystical branch of Judaism, but again I don't have any particular suggestions what book. Maybe Dorothy has some other ideas.

It's important to understand that the Jews recognize only the first 5 books of the Bible as the most important, after that they believe that Moses received the oral Torah. Moses undoubtedly received more than what was written down, but we can't be sure of what exactly. Most of what they wrote down about this is after Babylon, so many, many years later. The actual practice of Judaism is largely based on the oral traditions and Torah. There is a Babylonian and Jerusalem Talmud, so some variations there..

Hope this helps a little.
PJ Miller at the Sola Dei Gloria blog provides excellent updates on the Tod Bentley and Lakeland Revival thing. I am really disturbed about the Lakeland issue. I think many sincere Christians are getting caught up in this very dangerous, demonic thing.

PJ's article:

She provides a link in that article to a site set up by the Bentley people:

Obviously these deceivers know they are in for a fight and they're gearing up for it.

And this is so upsetting:

PJ's short article

And the link to this video...This is so obviously demonic.

And what really bugs me (even more) about this whole thing is that Todd Bentley was interviewed and this 'revival' was promoted by an otherwise very seemingly sensible Christian TV program right here in Canada. I cannot believe that in this day and age, when information is as far away as your computer, the producers and execs of this TV show and organization don't know what is going on. THEY PROMOTED THIS. What is wrong with these people??? (Yes, I already know what's wrong with these people, the question was rhetorical.)

Sometimes, too, when I see this stuff, I'm afraid that non Christians and secularists will use this sort of thing as an excuse to condemn and possibly persecute ALL Christian believers. What a multi-pronged effect--to deceive the believers and to repulse the sincere seekers. Ammunition to use against Christians for the purpose of persecuting them. Creating conflict WITHIN the Christian body as well, as Christians fight against ONE ANOTHER over whether or not this is the real thing. Satan gets to make people look like idiots with all the thrashing and screaming and so forth as they surrender their self control to him (at the bidding of Bentley and his crew). He gets to prevent people from seeking medical attention as they believe they'll get 'spiritual' healing...

Serious stuff. The war is being fought on many fronts.

"So, it’s back where it started from. One eyewitness described the manifestations going on at the impartation of Bentley’s "anointing":

"These are the effects that I have witnessed on people who have attended this movement and either have had hands laid on them or claim to have been imparted with 'the spirit': -They come back with this kind of childlike drunken stupor. -Descriptions of a burning sensation either in their veins, heads or stomachs. -Descriptions of being washed back and forth like the waves in the ocean;-Dancing about like drunk...-Inappropriate yelling and screaming like they're at a football game;-Young men whistling over and over and holding their heads and claiming that they 'feel the Holy Spirit about to split them in two'; -One young man's back two teeth turned completely to some metallic finish.-People with their eyes rolled in the back of their heads and weaving around like they're lost.-Women just gyrating and pulsating like they're being ravaged from behind from some unseen force. -Drunken uncontrollable laughter in the middle of a solemn prayer time…-People being 'slain in the spirit'... just falling down and being unable to move (like something's holding them down)."
Constance, I've finished your second book. I purchased it online, and the copy that I received was very well enjoyed by the previous owner. Full of underlines and notes...and now MY highlighter marks and notes. :-) It's interesting to see how it all progressed over the past 20 years.

I just started The Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow. (I ordered both books around the same time but from 2 different vendors and the second one arrived first.) What's up with old Benjamin Creme these days? He seems rather quiet...or is he just sitting back and coasting now that the ball is so definitely rolling?
I personally believe that "on the arms of a flood" means that it will come upon all so fast they will hardly know what hit them!

Benjamin Creme is indeed getting old, but he is still very active and has quite a crew with him -- if you google and youtube search him, you'll be busy for a very long time!

Rose, you are absolutely right about the Irish people being mistrustful of their leaders.

The Lisbon Treaty, which was itself an effort to resurrect EU reforms that were torpedoed by French and Dutch voters in 2005, is viewed by opponents as reducing small countries' influence and gives Brussels new foreign and defence policy powers undermining Ireland's historic neutrality.

Moreover, the Lisbon Treaty was reportedly marketed to the Irish voters as a species of veiled threat - in terms of what might happen if they voted "no."

As a TIMESONLINE article entitled "Friday 13th for Brian Cowan" informs us, moreover:

"Put in its simplest terms, Mr Cowen failed to convince the electorate that the Lisbon treaty is a good deal for Ireland. Looking at the conditions in which he fought a month-long campaign it is not difficult to understand why.

The Irish economy is taking a dramatic tumble. Figures out this week showed the greatest leap in unemployment for decades: the fact that employment in recent years has never been higher has not helped to soften the impact as fear creeps in about the future as fuel and food prices soar.

Mr Cowen took over from his predecessor Bertie Ahern in awkward circumstances. The Teflon Taoiseach, as Mr Ahern was known, lost his shine over a lengthy investigation into his personal finances (last week he explained large sums of sterling currency which he previously denied having as the results of winnings on horse bets).
Mr Ahern stepped down for fear that his travails would influence the vote but the damage was already done. Public confidence in the country’s politicians is at rock bottom.
Mr Cowen’s argument was that it did not matter if people had not read (as he admitted himself) the treaty and did not understand it because they should trust their elected leaders. It fell on deaf ears. The main parties use referendum campaigns to promote their own interests, featuring their elected members on their posters with the message to vote Yes in smaller script. The visual impact therefore was disastrous, fuelling public disenchantment among ordinary people, already angered by being told to vote for something which they did not understand........

.....Bernard Kouchner, the French Foreign Minister, did nothing to unpick that impression with a disastrous intervention in the final week of the campaign. “The first victims would be the Irish. They have benefited more than others,” he warned No voters.

Rather than trying to sell the positive reasons for voting Yes, his threat simply raised the temperature."

What is especially interesting is the decsription in the same article of a leaked memo from the British Embassy in Dublin:

"The French role in Ireland’s referendum is one of the more controversial aspects of the defeat. A leaked memo from the British Embassy in Dublin reported Irish diplomats describing President Sarkozy as “completely unpredictable”.

The memo, sent on 29 February to the Foreign Office, summarised a briefing about Irish government thinking over the referendum, emphasising that the campaign would not focus on the detail of the treaty which was “largely incomprehensible to the lay reader”.

The Irish government preferred a referendum in October but decided on an earlier date because of the risk of President Sarkozy making comments during the French presidency of the EU which might alienate Irish voters.

The memo said Dublin viewed Mr Sarkozy as “completely unpredictable”, and that the earlier date was chosen because “the risk of unhelpful developments during the French Presidency - particularly related to EU defence - were just too great”.
P.S. The following is an ancient prophecy I learned at my Irish grandmother's knee.....handed down to her via the Celtic oral tradition....which I was later able to confirm existed from other sources.
It is the prophecy received by St. Patrick after his famous fast atop Crough Padraig...and given recent events in Ireland, it is stunning in its relevance. Here is the prophecy the way I learned it:

"That thou soughtest shall not lack consummation.

Many a race shriveling in the sunshine of its prosperous years shall cease from faith,

And shamed, though shameless sink back to its native clay.

But ever thine God shall the shadow of His Hand extend

And through the night of centuries shall teach to her in woe that SONG

Which, when the nations wake, shall sound their glad deliverance."

As I see it, the Knock apparition gives us a hint of what that SONG is.....the Song of Moses Exodus 15:1-19 and the Song of the Lamb. Rev. 15:3-4

"And singing the canticle of Moses, the servant of God, and the canticle of the Lamb, saying: Great and wonderful are thy works, O Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, O King of ages."

The June 14 entry at

Todd is getting wilder by the minute, more militant, chanting and praying and calling to...ANGELS...

Say a prayer before you watch the YouTube video...and while you're watching it too.

Thanks(I think) for that Todd video link. I could only handle 5 min. of it and I bailed.

After reading a few blogs on him and the meetings the video really gave a visual impression to round out the good doctrinal critiques I have read.

The only thing that is more astonishingly bizarre than Todd, is the total involvement of the people there.

Can we say critical thinking in suspended animation?

If anyone ever finds out that Todd has ordered truckloads of Kool Aid and stored them in a warehouse the FBI needs to be notified immediately!!!!!

Todd makes Jim Jones look like Beaver Cleaver!!!

That's what you call really, really "strange fire"...

Lev. 10:1 ¶ Now Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took their respective firepans, and after putting fire in them, placed incense on it and offered strange fire before the LORD, which He had not commanded them.

It reminds me of a rock concert from the 70s where people were looking for some artificial high, but now they are doing it with hyped-up, bizarre worship....very bizarre.

Song of Moses Exodus for Ireland...

"But all eyes will be on Cowen to put forward proposals TO LEAD THE BLOC OUT OF THE CRISIS, WHICH REVIVES MEMORIES of that which followed the 2005 Franco-Dutch snub of the EU constitutional treaty."
for me it revives memories about mindcontrol...

The failure of the Lisbon treaty in Ireland has allowed some of the press of Javier Solana's negotiations trip to Iran to fade into the background.

A link to the proposal given to Iran

I find it interesting that they are asking for cooperation of Iran in the "dialog among civilizations"
as part of the negotiation tactics

I guess my link was too long,
here is the tiny url

hackers just hacked EU's Solana Photo page!
(beware offensive lyrics)
more info on the hacking:

Is that any particular language the hackers are using, or is it just gibberish? (I'll admit to running to get my German-English dictionary, but it's not German.)
it seems Turkish...
please see my post at fp

my Turklish-English
translation of the quote on the Solana photo page:

"Ayt Bizki Plevnelerden Adalardan Modalardan Gelmis Bir Neslin Evlatlariyiz"

Ayt Bizki - ay başı (turk) paymentday, beginning of the month
Plevnelerden - plevra(turk.) pleura (lining around the lung) neler - will be
Adalardan -judgement
Modalardan - ?a name?
Gelmis - hurt, fall down
Bir - bir (turk.) alone, one, union, united
Neslin - neslinden(turk.) come from
Evlatlariyiz - evlatlık (turk.) adopted child"

not sure at all this is correct.

Dear Paul,

regarding the flood, it appears earlier in Dan 9:26

26And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

Seems like it refers to war

Thank you for your incisive summary of the mis-marketing of the Lisbon treaty--you put into words exactly what has happened with this treaty in a way I could not.

The headlines from today's papers indicate the EU leaders are LIVID with the Irish government and of course the Irish people for not expressing gratitude to them by voting "YES" (and thus granting the EU the sweeping executive power over 500,000 million for which they are chomping at the bit.)

I guess there was an implicit understanding that the Irish people had already been bought--all those infrastructural grants from Brussels were conditional after all.

This is going to get very ugly on all counts. God Save Ireland.

Susanna, I hope you will stick around and share more political observations--your views on the U.S. election would be most welcome.

Also thanks for your info and thoughts on the Croagh Patrick prophecy--most interesting.

Interesting video about the Lisbon treaty:

Gives you insight into the process. Write something that no one understands and try to push it through.

Paul - I'm in agreement with Constanc on that flood quote - it will be so moch - so fadt - it will over take -

Doug and Constance,
Don't some other versions say on "On the wing of abominations" and haven't some scholars said that this refers to a wing or addition on the side of the temple?
Not that that makes anything clearer.
The Lamsa translation says:
22) And the fortified cities in the provinces shall be plundered, and shall scatter before him even the high priests of the covenant.

Why is it so hard to translate this verse?
What exactly does the Hebrew Bible say?

Well, to answer my own question, somewhat, my wife's Hebrew Bible says:

22) And the arms of a flood shall be swept away from before him, and shall be breoken; yea, and also the prince of the covenant.

still clueless,
Interesting...I was re-reading some comments from a previous thread, and, in discussion of the Manifest Sons of God issue, Joyce quoted a Bill Hamon. That name jumped out at me because I was reading about him last night. One of the founders of Christian International. Christian International endorses none other than Mr. Todd Bentley.

Hamon has plans. See the post re the e-mail he has sent out:
Tony Blair on Mideast peace again:

Someone should ask what happened to the 19 billion that has already been given to the Palestinian Authority. Tony also forgot to say that Hamas has been sending rockets in Sderot daily.

He also forgot to say that Hamas charter is dedicated to the destruction of Israel and the Palestinian people voted them into power..

The people will be saying "peace" when there is no peace. The spirit of Islam will NOT allow for a peaceful existence with Israel, because behind it is the spirit of anti-messiah. Some of the Muslims over there are coming to know Yeshua as Messiah and they are changing, but they are a tiny, tiny minority and take great risk to their lives to stand for Yeshua and to stand up for the right of Israel to have the land. They do claim their right to "dwell among them as aliens" but not to usurp the land.

Their are Jews that understand the true reconciliation in Yeshua and amazing things are happening between these long lost half-brothers.

Without Yeshua, forgiveness is impossible, and therefore peace is impossible. He forgave our sins and therefore we can forgive one another. Not only can we forgive one another but we are required to:

“For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. “But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions. Matt 6:14-15

I have heard former Palestinian terrorists say, that in Yeshua they now love the Jews and Israel. Impossible you say? All things are possible with God.

Just want to make a clear distinction between the Muslim people, and the spirit behind Islam..We need to remember they are enslaved to Islam and need to be set free. When Jews know their Messiah and Arabs know Him too, the walls of hatred come down and there is true shalom/salem/peace.

Pray that the sons of Abraham would understand that through the son of promise, Isaac, comes Yeshua, the Prince of Peace who died for all of us so that we may have life and have it abundantly.

For those who didn't read the thread, I quoted him to explain that I did not subscribe to the MSOG theology.
Just keeping things clear.
Here is the NAS lexicon explanation, which is also the Brown Driver Briggs explanation:

3671. PÎnD;k kanaph [489b]; from an unused word; wing, extremity:—bird*(1), corner(1), corners(4), covering(1), each other(1), edge(5), edges(1), ends(3), fold(m)(2), garment(m)(1), kind(m)(3), skirt(3), skirts(1), sorts(m)(1), wing(14), winged(5), wings(59), wingspan(1)

When we talk about the corner of a garment as in Yeshua and the woman with the condition of the blood, we are talking about tzitzits or tassles which represent the keeping of the commandments, also referred to in Zechariah 8.

The ark of the covenant had angels wings spread over it. Inside was the the 10 words, the tablets given to Moses, the mannah which represents Yeshua, the bread of the life or the Word, and the staff of Aaron which budded representing the High Priest. The prayer shawl is used like a covering which the High Priest puts over him when he prays.

The abomination is someone or something that is detestable. In the Hannukah story there is a detestable sacrifice that was offered to Zeus. This is why the Temple had to be cleansed or dedicated, which is the meaning of the Hebrew word Hanukah.

The lamp with 9 lights was to symbolize that God provided the oil that was required by Torah for 8 days miraculously.

I think if we read this story, we will understand a lot about the Abomination of desolations who will require everyone's worship.

Looking a little further, I think maybe this translation of the verse from Jewish Publication Society is clearest.

Dan. 9:27 During one week he will make a firm covenant with many. For half a week he will put a stop to the sacrifice and the meal offering. At the corner of the altar will be an appalling abomination until the decreed destruction will be poured down upon the appalling thing.” ¶

This is King James, so you can see where the confusion comes. The translators don't agree on it:

Dan. 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Watching the ABC This Week show I learned that two powerful leftists died this past week. Stewart Mott and Harlan Cleveland.

I'm posting this grant sheet from the Mott Foundation because it is such a good compilation of leftist groups. or
The Tides Foundation is the one Theresa Kerry was associated with. or
is the obit.

"Mr. Mott’s philanthropy included birth control, abortion reform, sex research, arms control, feminism, civil liberties, governmental reform, gay rights and research on extrasensory perception."

There are even links for Mott-Solana connections. With all of that money, what else.
For instance, -

Another familiar name also passed away - Harlan Cleveland.

He was a director of the New Age World Future Society as well as connected with the Aspen Institute for Humanistic Studies.
"1977 - "The Third Try at World Order" is published. Author Harlan Cleveland of the Aspen Institute for Humanistic Studies calls for "...changing Americans' attitudes and institutions" for "complete disarmament (except for international soldiers)" and "for individual entitlement to food, health and education."

These appear to be networks one enters at birth. The rest of us live in the world they created or in the above two cases, created.
I would like everybody's opinion on this. Solana has been very silent on Ireland, but very vocal on his multi-nation authority on Iran -- read this quote:

I am here in my capacity as the High Representative of the EU and I am also speaking on
behalf of China, France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States. I am
in Tehran to present a generous and comprehensive offer which we would like to be the
starting point for real negotiations. I have brought with me a letter signed by the ministers of
the six countries and myself.

I don't think JS is going away anytime soon! What thinketh you?

Speaks on behalf of the U.S., does he? (I honestly don't know one way or the other...Was the U.S. in on this???)

Nothing said here about the Iranian president's desire to wipe Israel off the map. It would be nice if that were addressed...Is Iran going to continue voicing hostile intentions toward other countries? I don't think the international community can overlook that, or it does so at everyone else's peril.

The silence on the issue of Ireland kind of says to me that Solana already has this worked out in his own mind and thus doesn't really need to worry about it.
Bush just came back from Europe, so maybe Bush did give Solana the authority to speak for him and the others at well. What's at stake another war in the region. There have been lots of rumors about either Israel or US hitting Iran before Bush gets out of office. Are these rumors or actual plans? Hard to say.. Some believe that Russia won't allow another US led strike on a sovereign country in the region, especially on such a good customer of Russia's.

I don't think Israel will accept a nuclear Iran, as much as a wimp as Olmert is. Maybe behind the scenes, Israel has said that it wants the Iran problem resolved before they will be willing to negotiate? That would leave them too vulnerable if they gave up land and were surrounded by Iran's proxies i.e. Hizb'allah and Hamas. Solana has been involved in the Mideast Peace negotiations too.

Bush has no diplomatic relations with Iran and no credibility to negotiate so the likely party would be Solana. I believe that the last 8 years of US policy in the region with the "war on terror" has positioned EU nicely to step up as a so-called "neutral negotiator". What do I think? I think the EU will find a way to do what it wants with or without the agreement of the citizens. I think that is happening in the US today too. Right now the head guy is Solana. In the future, we will have to wait and see.
My response to Javier SOLANA’s exurbs is he’s a “salesman.” “Win-win” is slick, but for being the potential AC he seems strangely unfamiliar with the aims and goals of the Islamic revolution that has transformed Iran into the logical theocracy which it has become: destroy Israel, spread Islam.
I love how their insignia on the podiums looks like an old Roman Empire eagle symbol:

(Just remove the line breaks to put together the whole URL.)
No need for Dr. Solana to worry about Ireland as 1) his EU diplomatic service is "well advanced," 2) the upcoming French EU presidency, under Sarkozy, is more than willing to continue strengthening the EU military, and 3) Dr. Solana just got his way in Kosovo with the U.N. and NATO (to Russia's dismay):

Is what you're getting at here that the AC will subdue three of the other horns in his meteoric and inexplicable rise to power? Because it would make sense that Ireland would be one of them.
Maybe it's the Irish in me that sees the guy as a phony and a liar. Or maybe I just have eyes to see and ears to hear. I'd like to think so, though I know some here would doubt that.
Besides didn't my friend Rose say that there seem to be a large number of basic Bible believing Christians there, compared to the rest of Europe ?
That's reason enough.

nick, Doug, Joyce,
I believe that the Abomination will be incense to burn to the "Queen of Heaven". It will be right there next to the altar. It's this MIXING of sacred and idolatrous that most grieves and infuriates the Lord. (Jer.44:17-19)
Of course I could be wrong. Only God is true.

I agree it will be some gross idolatry. We might not have so long to wait to find out about what it is.
I just have a few minutes, but I wanted to make three comments

In regards to the flood- as in the sanctuary will end in a flood,
I was watching the history channel a few months back about the destruction of the temple and they said when the Romans burned it, it ended in a flood of gold pouring out of it. Perhaps that is the meaning

Second, the state department gave Solana the authority to speak for the "six" nations. I read about it the last time he did this. He has been negotiating with Iran on our behalf several times.

Third, If my notes are correct, Ireland is in the WEU, but is not one of the ten permanent members- so IF the WEU is the ten kings we are looking for, Ireland being pulled out by the roots really would not count.

More later,
Actually, read the entire 44th chapter of Jeremiah.
He clearly spells out exactly what causes desolation.
There is an abomination that causes desolation to the temple and all Jerusalem, and it's this burning of incense and pouring of drink offerings to the Queen of Heaven right there at the Lords' own altar.
He expected that sort of thing from the tribes of the earth. He blessed Nebuchadnezzar and called him "my servant". He blessed every tribe on earth in a million ways that we'll never know. They were all pagan, but God is patient. He wanted Israel to worship him in spirit and in truth and in so doing they would be a light to the Gentiles. The various kingdoms all came to Jerusalem in it's glory and payed homage and tribute. That's why the Temple in Jerusalem had to be right. Even Israel had little pagan shrines on every hill and under every green tree and God hated it, but there it was. He didn't destroy Israel to the point of utter desolation until they began to burn incense and pour out drink offerings to the "Queen of Heaven' right there in his own house. That was too much.
The Lamentations of Jeremiah give you an idea of what God means when he says desolation. Jeremiah himself suffered because of this. He was put down in a well and left there for days. It was nothing but mire on the bottom. He may have composed his Lamentations from there. It sounds like it. Later God showed Jeremiah what he was talking about. He showed him what was going on under the altar in a secret room and other places in the temple.

Thank you for your kind words. I have long been an admirer of Constance Cumbey, and I regularly read this blog.

I was very happy to see that the report about Ireland's stand against the Lisbon Treaty was posted here.

In addition to what I have already mentioned, I would like to add that another reason for Ireland's stand against the treaty is her fear that apart from any negative effects it might have on her legislation against abortion, gay marriage, etc., it would pave the way for workers' wages across all sectors to fall because it is believed that as a result of the passing of this treaty, employers would be legally entitled to bring workers from lower-paying economies into the State and pay them at rates they received at home. The Irish - and some other Europeans - see this as an undermining of workers rights and have dubbed it the "race to the bottom."

As a staff reporter for The Galway Independent sardonically wrote on June 4, 2008:

"The Galway for a Democratic Europe group is to hold a "race to the bottom" event this Saturday on Shop St, to protest lowering wages and exploitation.

According to AJ Cahill, the group's spokesperson, "The EU has sponsored through the opening of markets without protections for citizens the development of the "Race to the Bottom" where wages are driven down by exploiting foreign workers while causing unemployment and loss of contracts for local workers and companies. This race to the bottom also provides an environment for racism to breed. The Lisbon treaty will promote and copper-fasten this race."

Is it just me, or does this sound a little like what is happening to workers here in the United States vis a vis the illegal immigrant situation?
Paul, are you sure it was Jeremiah that this was shown to? jeremiah gave warnings NOT to do this and was put in the mire for sounding the God-given alarms. It was Ezekiel who God showed the extent of the idolatry, as I recall my scriptures.
Yes anonymous you're right. It was Ezekiel whom God showed all those things in the temple. I was stuck on Jeremiah because of what it says in Jeremiah 44 regarding the abomination that maketh desolate.
My mistake.

I think its possible we could see a full flex of EU muscle on Ireland. Not in a military sence but economically. To show the rest what its like without their money.

In regards to Iran and Solana, I don't believe Ahmedinejad is bluffing this time. Only we already know what will happen when he and his alliance come against Israel this time.

There are many prophecies we may be on the verge of seeing come to pass!

A few days ago I came across a file folder (cardstock variety - remember them?) containing my collection of issues of "New Age Monitors". I had stuck them away back in the late 80's and as my life had changed gears forgot about them.
I had written you in those former times as a Christian who came out of the NA and one who wanted to make a difference.
I wish I could say I had made such a difference, but my contributions have been small if in fact, useful at all.
I decided to do a google search for "Constance Cumbey" and found myself here. And after browseing these blogs I am glad I did.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
I could write volumes about the things I have witnessed in these last twenty years. (and may yet).
Suffice to say Jesus is still in the salvation business and even having gotten myself caught up in never-ending pull of self-centeredness does not prevent Him from re-awakening me to the Truth.

A couple years ago I was firmly in the grip of the "New Reformation", without really knowing what I was in. I was given a tape by a 'tape-preacher' who espoused 'praying in tongues' as being the lost and repressed "secret" of Christian power, as intended by God and necessary for the understanding of God's Word.
Reluctantly I began to invest my heavily in the practice which was not unfamiliar to me as I had been 'birthed' into an Anglican church undergoing 'charismatic renewal' back in 1975. But since I had several 'falls from grace', I was more or less 'rudderless' and so felt that now God was once again guiding me.
When the 'traditional' church I was attending showed no interest in my 'new found' teachings, I left and joined a huge congregation 'alive with the Spirit'. It wasn't until I had participated in numerous visits from outside teachers that I began to realize that there was something amiss.
When I undertook to research the names C. Peter Wagner et al it all started to make sense and so much of the 80s returned to my consciousness. I had to leave and I did!

Since I left the 'mega-church' and discontinued the endless hours of praying in toungues, I have experienced amazing trials and difficulties. At first I thought God was 'punishing' me as the pastors I confronted had told me would happen. Then I began to embrace the events and circumstances as Abba's discipline, meant only to bring humility to a heart that had grown way "too big for it's own britches'.

Since that experience I have begun to question everything I once believed. This was scary at first since I knew how easily I could be deceived and while in the NA, and the drug culture of the 60s I had been extremely deceived. But it was that world Jesus saved me from and His blood has not lost it's power.
I guess what I'm writing to say at this point is, He IS faithful and can be depended upon. If we will let His Holy Spirit lead us in the way we should go. If we will search His word for THE TRUTH. If we will forsake the approval of men, EVEN so-called godly men, Then He WILL continue to rescue us and deliver us from the POWER of sin.

As this period of time unfolds and as the mechanisms of the schemes of Satan quietly roll into position, we need to pray more earnestly for the hearts and minds of believers who like me became caught up in some of those well constructed and artfully executed schemes.

To those who practice speaking in tongues, I am not condemning it. Even water is toxic in excessive doses. I honestly can't say whether it is a valid expression of faith or not. I avoid it now, but only because I mistrust my ability to 'stay on track'.
I fancied myself as one of those who would conquer the world for Christ. That mindset is incredibly intoxicating. And there are some of us who must avoid intoxicants at any cost. All intoxicants!

I intend to lurk here some more and consider whether I really have anything to offer other than rehashing what others so ably have written. If something truly important comes to me, and no-one else presents it, then I may jump in.

I thank all who take the time to do the investigation, share their discoveries, present their beliefs and attempt to follow Jesus to the best of their abilities. And I especially thank you Constance for starting me down the path of truth 25 years ago and being here now that I have stumbled back across it.

Primegood, thanks for sharing. Your semi-autobiography was touching, mature, and more common than you might know; I'm sure many will be comforted in knowing they are not alone.
Thanks again,
