Solana - No more Mr. Nice Guy?

JAVIER SOLANA: GETTING TOUGH? SHOWING TEETH AT LAST: "EUROPE IS UNDERGOING VITAL REFORMS"

It appears to this observer that we are about to see another side of Javier Solana--a sterner, terser one who will not hesitate to suppress opposition. A "google alert" tonight gave me a 'heads up' on a most significant and disturbing interview Javier Solana gave to People's Daily Online. A picture of the first page of that interview may be seen by clicking the picture to the left. The interview concerned the Europe that will exist both during the 27 nation ratification process and thereafter.
Solana noted that only Ireland will be permitted a referendum on the treaty. All other countries are expected to provide ratification by cooperating parliaments. Having a familiarity with legislative processes and how they tend to go when funding to individual states/countries are involved, the legislatures are certain to play ball -- or face unpleasant Brussels consequences.
Losing some of his hitherto diplomatic smoothness, Solana now speaks in near disparaging terms of the countries:
"Among the 27 member nations in the EU, there are both new members and old
members and ones of heavyweight or lightweight. Poland, a new, lightweight
member, once argued strongly for a revision of the EU voting rule that allocated
votes to each member in accordance with the square root of their population.
Afterward, it comprised and agreed to the idea of a "dual voting
system".Likewise, Czech, another new EU member, asked for more reversibility,
with which an EU member alone has the right to demand the EU commission to
withdraw a motion or bill. Such new member nations as Poland and Czech are so
resolute and rigid mainly because they feared that their weak political and
economic positions would be marginalized."
It should be noted that up until 10 critical days in November, 1995, Javier Solana was only one of many, many European cabinet ministers. He served at various times as Minister of Culture, Minister of Education, and Minister of Science for Spain before becoming its foreign minister right in time for the Rio de Janeiro Earth Summit in 1992.
Part of this new treaty includes strong military powers for an alleged "coalition of the willing." This structure is ominously named "Permanent Structured Cooperation."
I noted with concern back in the 1990's that Javier Solana was publicly stating in speeches that "the plan is to use NATO assets with European control of those assets."
He has achieved that goal. During his NATO tenure, he split the NATO command in two: the US portion to be headquartered at Norfolk, Virginia and the European one at Brussels. Solana, in charge of European military as well as European diplomacy, has long since been given a virtual blank check to use NATO assets. The NATO forces are clearly "double-hatted" with European Union (EU) ones.
In the late 1990s, as I viewed these trends with concern, I read a piece that has since disappeared from the internet from a British source, labeled "John Boyd, Secretary." He noted with alarm the rearming of Europe and drew obvious parallels with Hitler's remilitarizing Germany in the 1930s. He said that he did it at first by stealth and then openly.
It should be noted that Javier Solana was for many years on the USA's subversive list. It is totally incredible that he should have been handed the powers he has with this in his background. In 1999, he was handed unusual powers for a NATO Secretary General.
Boyd further noted Jacques Santer's stated goal of dislodging the USA as a major superpower in the 21st century struggle for increasingly scarce global resources. Boyd's warnings were prophetic. The European nations are obviously motivated to hand Solana powers to be the one voice speaking for Europe so they may equalize Europe with the USA on the world stage. Unfortunately, our present administration and war policies have given them plenty of ammunition.
Javier Solana upon first inspection reminds one of (1) Everybody's favorite uncle; (2) Everybody's favorite professor (which he, a physics professor, used to be) and/or (3) the most comfortable pair of old shoes in one's closet.
It appears to me that Javier Solana is approaching a potentially difficult Treaty of Lisbon ratification stage with little or no sense of humor. He has long since, under the Year 2000 Treaty of Nice possessed powers to convene the Council of the European Union "in the event of an emergency."
Let's hope the emergency does not happen. Let us hope my analysis is wrong. This is all getting just too eerie. A man whose present job was created with Section 666 of the Europa codified documents and who proposes through his ten permanent member Western European Union assembly emergency European powers for himself, now merging and blending with NATO "based on a classified exchange of letters between the EU's High Representative . . . Javier Solana and NATO's Secretary General George Robertson" [1]
It strikes me that no matter how deficient Javier Solana's religious training may have been, he should appreciate the deep and disturbing symbolism of 666 embodied in EU official documents for the year 1998, particularly when combined with 10 nation federations surreptitiously handing him power, such as was the case with the Western European Union in 1999. While the fiction has been maintained that it is only a shell, scholarly accounts more accurately tell the story: This was a revival, not a cessation of the Western European Union military alliance.[2] When he named his bill seeking emergency powers over Europe in the event of an 'emergency' Recommendation 666, it was probably no accident.
What is happening has amazing similarities to pictures painted years ago both in the biblical books of Daniel and Revelation. If the books sound alike, it is because as Pastor Ervin Baxter, Jr. is fond of saying: Same author, different secretaries.
Is the time at hand? Should we look for another? The times appeared to be near at hand when Hitler appeared. Hitler was not the man. Historical accounts well document that Hitler wanted to be "the man." Nevertheless, antichrist or not, Hitler, a wannabe, was most dangerous to Europe's health.
Clearly Javier Solana, so far, does not present the same intimidating presence that Hitler's old videos reveal. But then, there are old smiling videos of Hitler and his comrades graciously donating to charities, kissing babies, and mingling with crowds. Javier Solana has spoken of the European Union coalition as an achievement of peace. I am happy for Europe that they had the 50 years of relative peace (Balkans clearly excluded). However, if these virtually unchecked powers are put in the hand of one man, be he presently saint or sinner, Europe's long vacation -- as well as the rest of the world's -- could just about be over. Power acquired is not easily relinquished.
Equally clearly, Javier Solana has been handed vast amounts of power, has moved with little public recognition of his presence and/or growing powers, and is about to be given much more.
Is there any man on this earth that can be trusted with these levels of power and potential militarization under his control? It was Lord Acton who said, "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely."
Maybe Javier Solana is right (I doubt it) when he tells us that he never planned his life. Maybe he really does aspire to retire and write his along awaited book. But the powers he has been handed, the control he has been given over the NATO (1995); Yugoslavian bombing decisions (1999); the Common Foreign and Security Policy of the EU and now leading to a European "New Headline Goal 2010" have potentially apocalyptic overtones.
I sincerely hope I am wrong.

Best comprehensive post on Javier ever.
I am sorry I was unable to attend Friday's chat and I won't be there on Tuesday either. On the 12th my father has passed away very suddenly. I am currently with my mom. Please pray for travel safety for family who will be driving up here to my mom's on Sunday.

So who do you think lines up most favorably with Solana as far as US politics goes? Hillary, Huckabee, or? Far as I can tell, the only candidate that wouldn't play ball with Solana would be Ron Paul, but he has no chance of being elected. If you can believe the polls, Huckabee's moving up, but his recent position statements on foreign policy sound like he's been taking the same crash course as all the others, "Alliance of Civilizations 101".

Dear Dawn,

I am so very sorry to hear about your father's sudden death. My prayers, and I'm sure those of your on-line friends are with you. I do pray that the Lord grant your family traveling safety.

to oldmanoftheski: (colorful name!) Hard to say. I am amazed at the number of Ron Paul signs I am seeing in just my corner of Michigan. He may have more support out there than many suspect. I agree he would probably stand up to Solana and his "system of continents" as part of Solana's global governance scheme. He would probably also stand up to the climate alarmists. My only fear is that he might be taken advantage of people I consider dangerous New Age double agents such as Eustace Mullins. That crowd has shamelessly exploited those with legitimate New World Order worries.

I was wondering;
We see pictures and video of the men who pray at the "Wailing Wall" . How often does this praying take place ? Is it continual ? Could it be considered a continual sacrifice ?

Yours truly,

This is totally off the subject, but here's some info regarding the movie "The Golden Compass." It's quite long winded, though.
Regarding The Golden Compass

THIS IS A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM
DR. BRYAN CUTSHALL

Yesterday, I was handed a children's book by a staff member who said, "I think you need to see this."

The book is published by Scholastic and is part of a collection of books. The book I was given is called The Golden Compass. This children's book is one of the most alarming things I have ever read. What makes it worse is that a movie based on the book premieres in December. Both the book and the movie introduce atheism to children. The story ends with Adam and Eve killing God.

THIS IS A MOVIE THAT WE MUST PROTEST AND OPPOSE AS CHRISTIANS. Please educate yourself on this by checking out the links I have provided below and help me spread the word. Do not remain silent on this issue. This is a time for the family of GOD to stand together.

Dr. Bryan Cutshall
Senior Pastor, Twin Rivers Worship Center
Founder and CEO, Churchtrainer, Inc.

Focus on the Family has several notices written about it. You can click on this link to see one of them: http://www.citizenlink.org/content/A000005672.cfm

You can also read more about it below.

I checked this out at snopes.com; unfortunately, it's true... There will be a new children's movie out in December called " The Golden Compass." The movie has been described as "atheism for kids" and is based on the first book of a trilogy entitled "His Dark Materials" written by Phillip Pullman. Pullman is a militant atheist and secular humanist who despises
C. S. Lewis and the "Chronicles of Narnia." His motivation for writing this trilogy was specifically to counteract Lewis' symbolisms of Christ portrayed in the Narnia series.

Clearly, Pullman 's main objective is to bash Christianity and promote atheism. Pullman left little doubt about his intentions when he said in a 2003 interview, "my books are about killing God." He has even stated that he wants "to kill God in the minds of children." It has been said of Pullman that he is "the writer the atheists would be praying for, if atheists prayed."

While "The Golden Compass" movie itself may seem mild and innocent, the books are a much different story. In the trilogy, a young streetwise girl becomes enmeshed in an epic struggle to ultimately defeat the oppressive forces of a senile God. Another character, an ex-nun, describes Christianity as "a very powerful and convincing mistake." In the final book, characters representing Adam and Eve eventually kill God, who at times is called YAHWEH. Each book in the trilogy gets progressively worse regarding Pullman 's hatred of Jesus Christ.

"The Golden Compass" is set to premier December 7, during the Christmas season and will probably be heavily advertised. Promoters hope that unsuspecting parents will take their children to see the movie, that they will enjoy the movie, and that the children will want the books for Christmas. Please boycott the movie and the books. Also, pass this information along to everyone you know. This will help to educate parents, so that they will know the agenda of the movie.

A movie to avoid

Eustace Mullins? I looked him up on Wikipedia, followed the links and read a couple of his rants. "Double agent" is right. Clearly a mixed bag, (or a mixed up bag, or a bag of mixed nuts), take your pick. His ravings about the Jews being the root of all evil is detestable. Mullin's defense of Nazism is shockingly deplorable.

While he might be right about many things related to the New World Order, the Rothschild's family hardly qualifies as even remotely "Jewish", that is if the word actually means: those who follow the Torah.

Is there any evidence to suggest Ron Paul is of the same persuasion or is being influenced by such persons or their off base anti-semitic philosophy? I've read a lot of Paul's stuff, haven't seen that thread yet.

Hi David in Battle Creek-
Haven't "seen" you here in a while, so I was glad to see you're still "staying tuned". The "Golden Compass" is a dark, horrible, anti-God production. Thankfully, last I heard it's gotten terrible reviews by the movie critics so perhaps THAT might deter some from seeing it in theaters. I was at Costco two days ago and the "end-caps" on the book aisles are loaded a foot high with copies of "His Dark Materials"
by Phillip Pullman. Same at Walmart and Target. Nice white polar bear on the book cover gives it a seasonal, Christmasy, Holiday look. Such a subtle and clever enticement by the enemy. Rudi

Constance astutely pointed out Dr. Solana's rather disparaging reference to the Czech Republic (among others) in the interview. Interestingly, the Czech Republic stands to lose their 6-mo. EU presidency, beginning 1/1/09, if the Lisbon Treaty is not ratified by then (scroll to 2nd post at link).

Dr. Solana's attitude gives every appearance of someone who thinks they have it all "in the bag," so to speak, imho.

Have a nice day.

Constance,
I thought in light of this past weeks possibility of
"ON LINE HIDING?" and the current
"SHOWING OF TEETH" by the good Dr., the observations noted in a previously posted International Herald Tribune/Europe article titled,
"Solana, EU's 'good cop,' takes stage" might be worth a review.

"BRUSSELS: The European Union was so deeply divided before the Iraq war that its foreign policy chief, Javier Solana, locked himself in his nondescript office in Brussels, declined all requests for interviews and avoided diplomatic missions to the Middle East.

Looking back on what he called the darkest moment of his seven years as the EU's top foreign policy official, Solana said in a recent interview that representing the divergent voices of 25 countries required knowing when to be invisible."...
"Aides say Solana is a committed multilateralist. "Even in a difficult situation, he's a man who doesn't burn bridges, so that bridges will be open when he needs them," said Cristina Gallach, an adviser to Solana."

So, much to keep an eye on. Your article today really helped me get an even clearer picture.
Thank-you. Rudi

Rudi,

"The Golden Compass" looks like a dumb movie and totally uninteresting. So, because of that I think it's not going to do so well at the box office. However, it could easily "sucker" kids into watching it, spreading it's anti-Christian message.

Yes, I'm still around. I do read this blog every week, but I don't always comment. However, I do keep people I know informed about what's going on. Starting in January I will be leaving work at 2:30 on Fridays, so I'll have more time. I'm the head teacher in a day care center and I work with 4-year-olds all day, then I come home to my own children, one of which is autistic. I'm usually worn out.

Well, I'm going to bed. I think I have to shovel snow in the morning.

Kindof off subject, but here in WA we have Ron Paul signs everywhere. And now with his blimp, not even the media can keep his name hidden....

I do not 'think' anything good will come in the next leadership of the US, if even a sovereign country for any length of time heretofore. God raises our leaders, and we have to pay for very real and horrific sins sometime.....the 'gods' of our hearts. That said, I do believe the ability to choose for a constitutional candidate,( a document so founded on the Bible) las in the choice of Paul is a test of the body of Christ, not unlike Israel in the desert...to go back to Egypt, life as you know it/status quo, lesser of evil, essentially what MAN gives/promises; or to take freedom- what God gives. Do Christians understand the price HE paid for them? Will they mentally decide and use voting like a gambling casino, betting odds so you picked the guy everyone else did, or; go with a guy who believes in the essense of inalienable rights and the pursuit of happiness for all, sovereignty vs. waring, the right to make bad decisions and not be rescued....am so glad for writers like Andrew Napolitano who get what freedom and the law are...people who get that it isn't their's to Lord over...can Ron win? The point is the heart of the believers who believe by faith as a child, or those who will be very 'religious' and think this out for the things they see about them...(EVE?) I would guess we will be sorely discouraged buy the choice, but even more the heart and motives of americans will be revealed, until the cup overfloweth...thanks for your time, not lifting up a man, just the office and taking hold of what God has freely offered, choose the promised land, live like you are free, don't be slaves any longer~In WAshington

Dear David in Battle Creek,

Good to hear from you again! I have yet to see THE GOLDEN COMPASS but all my preliminary research on it -- what I have heard and read -- is that it is a total attack on God and on Christianity. It is indeed, particularly dangerous for children whose beliefs are still in formation.

CAUTION: It is impossible to shield children from all these influences, so it is compelling that children be told what lies they will be told and what the truth is. When I was a small child, my parents told me that when I went to school (my education was ALL in public schools), I would be told a BIG LIE called EVOLUTION. I thank them for the forewarning!

Constance Cumbey said...

Der oldmanoftheski,

I have no direct evidence that Ron Paul is directly influenced or subscribes to any of this. My friend, Dorothy Margraf, has fears, however, that he could be a unifying and empowering factor for those acting on Eustace Mullins' and Willis Carto/historical revisionist type factions. My personal jury is still out.

Constance Cumbey said...

Dear Rudi,

Don't know how I ever missed that "good cop" article, but THANKS! I had long noticed that he was good at disappearing into the woodwork when it seemed convenient. Here is a telling quote from the article you cite"

"It would have been absurd to think that I could resolve the situation publicly. Sometimes you have to know the limits that you have, and sometimes that means disappearing at the right time."

It looks to me as though google has been helping him disappear!

Constance Cumbey said...

Here's another telling Solana quote from that same article/link that Rudi gave:

"But that same strong will to get involved comes through even when he might not be wanted. EU officials said he bullied his way on to the negotiating table with Iran after being excluded from the nuclear talks led by France, Germany and Britain."

http://tinyurl.com/2pnhhp

Constance Cumbey said...

And another revealing even more disturbing quote from the same article:

http://tinyurl.com/2pnhhp

"Solana oozes personal charm in public and has been known to greet world leaders with a bear hug that would make Henry Kissinger blanch. But diplomats who have worked with him say he also can be incoherent and defensive. Others say he can have a fierce temper and has reduced some colleagues to tears. EU officials say that his temper is a result of his strong desire to get things done."

Constance, have you not been reading all those posts about Internet/email privacy issues? I was the one who posted most of those, and the info on Ixquick, and the links to googlewatch.org. Gmail is even worse than Yahoo! There's no security whatsoever! See http://www.google-watch.org/gmail.html

Talk to the internet providers in your area about encryption security. I've seen some packages as low as $149 which enables you to use a secure server with encryption software. I'm no puter expert, and don't know how all this works, but you are obviously a target and it seems prudent you take some precautions.

I am also the one who sent you several pages of text docs re a certain New Age group and Mr. Keys. Give me a snail mail office address and I will send this stuff registered mail, obviously it won't get to you in email and will end up someplace else.

PS. Please, please don't send it registered mail -- by the time we get the notice and then either my secretary or I have to make a trip to a post office located in a relatively dangerous area to pick it up! "It would have been absurd to think that I could resolve the situation publicly. you have to know the limits that you have, and sometimes that means disappearing at the right time."

Sounds as if he is also referring to secret meetings, such as the one he illegally held w/Hamas, a recognized terrorist group (which he at first denied, then later admitted).

Have a nice day.

I guess my question was too stupid to bother
answering. I must have missed something.
Sorry.
I understand that the Continual Sacrifice was
two lambs every morning and two every evening, and that the fire at the altar never went out. But
if we are truly in the end times as everyone here says, then that means that the Temple will have to be rebuilt before the AC can go in and declare himself to be God. If that is to happen in the midst of the 70th week, and if this EU Constitution is the
agreement which kicks it off, then they'd have to build the whole thing and begin sacrifices in it for a while before he did that.
On the other hand if the continual praying that is taking place right now at the Temple Mount can be
considered a continual sacrifice then all that could be imminent.

Yours truly, and I always sign my name here,
Paul

Anonymous said...

Paul, don't know what your original question was, but I'm sure it wasn't stupid. There's a difference of interpretation and understanding among Christians about prophecy. This is especially true about differing interpretations of the so-called end times scriptures, such as "when you see the abomination that causes desolation standing in the holy place (temple)..."

Some say this event already happened during the Roman occupation and destruction of Jerusalem's second temple some 2000 years ago. One of the mainstream modern views which you point out, is that a new, third temple must be rebuilt in Jerusalem and the daily sacrifices re-instated so that the Anti-christ will be revealed and the scriptures fulfilled. Indeed, preparations have been underway by organizations like the Temple Institute in Jerusalem in preparation for this very event. This view certainly has some strong support in evangelical circles. But I would ask you, and all other Christians, to think about this- could this scripture be referring to a human being and not a building? After all, our bodies are called temples, as our Lord said, "Destroy this temple, and I will rebuild it in 3 days." When Jesus said these words, He was not referring to a temple of stones, but one of flesh and blood, a human body that would later be broken for us on the cross. Just as God became a man, Satan might also be made manifest in one single human being. Would that incarnation in itself not be THE abomination that would lead to desolation? It looks to me like we are going to find out pretty soon one way or the other, just don't get your hopes pinned on things turning out exactly the way you have been led to expect.
