 Requesting Prayer

First and foremost, I am asking for prayers for Constance.  She continues to run a low grade fever which is well into its second week.  She believes this to be a reaction after receiving a Covid booster.  I know right now she is feeling pretty lousy.  Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

The Shaping of a New Economic Order

I had planned to write more in-depth about the following articles.  Unfortunately time does not permit so I’ll let the articles speak for themselves.

Recently I noticed an article about microchip implants for use for contactless payments. Considering the  geopolitical realignment currently underway as well as the competition for who will redefine the existing economic rules-based order, Windows Central’s statement comes more into focus:  “who will govern this evolving global community and economy becomes relevant. Especially since nonparticipants in this system would be unable to buy or sell goods or services.

A digital Bretton Woods or something different?  Whichever way it goes I expect this contactless payment system will integrate with a Social Value Rewards System.

Former EU diplomat Alastair Crooke writes that the West’s expulsion of Russia from the SWIFT payment system was “an act of self-mutilation.”

"The current military operation in Ukraine will, in due course, be relegated to the status of little more than a footnote in global history, although the all-out financial war that has erupted in Russia will be instrumental in shaping the coming new world order."

"US hegemony over the so-called “rules-based order” has been much more financial (rather than military). That is, an order imposed by the US threat to 'sanction' any and all offenders with a 'neutron bomb' of US Treasury bills...And on February 26, this system began to die..."

"...They act only on impulse. We know this because both the Fed and the ECB reported that they were not consulted about the confiscation of gold or the expulsion of seven Russian banks from the SWIFT financial clearing system. And they clarified that, if consulted, they would have opposed both movements."

The International Institute for Middle East and Balkan Studies writes the Ukraine war is a prelude to the emergence of a new international order.

“It is important to emphasize that this is not a traditional war, nor a conflict between two states over disputed territory, nor a pre-election propaganda, but a war of an entirely different kind. This war is a first step on the path to establishment of a new order in international relations, that is a new division of spheres of influence at the global level.”

“The developments in Ukraine represent the beginning of the end of the existing world order…Put succinctly, the current developments are a prelude to the emergence of a new international order.”

The EU is flexing its muscle to dissuade China from siding with Russia. Meanwhile Russia and China profess to speak with “one voice.”

All of this is consistent with new age expectations that the forces of the old age would clash and from it would rise the new. But we know that’s not how things pan out.

Resolution on the Incompatibility of Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality with The Baptist Faith and Message

https://southernbaptistsagainstracism.org/

WHEREAS, The Baptist Faith and Message states, “Christians should oppose racism, every form of greed, selfishness, and vice, and all forms of sexual immorality…” (Article XV); and

WHEREAS, The Baptist Faith and Message states that Scripture “will remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be tried” (Article I); and

WHEREAS, the inclusion of Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality, since the 2019 Annual Meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) in Birmingham, Ala., has brought confusion and division among its churches by describing Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality as analytical tools that are helpful to explain how racism functions in society and how to evaluate human experiences; and

WHEREAS, Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality are ideologies rooted in Neo-Marxist and postmodern worldviews, by which our civilization is being deconstructed around our families, communities, and nations, which make them incompatible with Scripture as they are characterized by worldly “philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ” (Col 2:8); and

WHEREAS, Critical Race Theory collectively designates people by their social identity groups (e.g., people of color, women, homosexuals, and transgenders) which views people “according to the flesh” (2 Cor 5:16); and

WHEREAS, Intersectionality combines gender, sex, sexuality, and a myriad of other identity-related concepts in order to allocate power, positions, revenue, and opportunities in such ways that are contrary to objective biblical standards of justice (Lev 19:15; Deut 16:19-20); and

J said...

WHEREAS, Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality contradict The Baptist Faith and Message which states, “The sacredness of human personality is evident in that God created man in His own image and in that Christ died for man; therefore, every person of every race possesses full dignity and is worthy of respect and Christian love” (Article III); and

WHEREAS, Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality emphasize a view of humanity that fails to properly recognize the sinful nature of man, focusing upon collective guilt as opposed to the emphasis on individual responsibility in The Baptist Faith and Message, which states that all who “are capable of moral action” have “become transgressors and are under condemnation” (Article III); and

WHEREAS, the Bible instructs Christians not to separate ourselves into groups based upon ethnicity, socio-economic status, or gender (Gal 3:28 and James 2:1, 9), teaching instead that all men and women are created equal in the image of God (Gen 1:25-27) and have descended from Adam and Eve, the biological progenitors of the whole human race (Acts 17:26), and are all sinners (Rom 3:23), and The Baptist Faith and Message declares that “only the grace of God can bring man into His holy fellowship and enable man to fulfill the creative purpose of God” (Article III); now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the messengers to the annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention, meeting in Nashville, Tenn., June 15-16, 2021, affirm the portion of the Nov. 20, 2020, statement from the Council of Seminary Presidents that states “affirmation of Critical Race Theory, Intersectionality and any version of Critical Theory is incompatible with the Baptist Faith & Message;” and be it further

RESOLVED, that we deny that any analytical tools can aid in evaluating a variety of human experiences if those analytical tools are themselves rooted in worldviews incompatible with the Word of God; and be it further

RESOLVED that we reaffirm our agreement with historic, biblically-faithful Southern Baptist condemnations of racism in any and all forms and our agreement with The Baptist Faith and Message which states “that Christ died for man; therefore, every person of every race possesses full dignity and is worthy of respect and Christian love” (Article III); and be it finally

RESOLVED that we reaffirm our absolute conviction that a proper interpretation of the Holy Scriptures — apart from any worldly ideology, any personal identity trait, or any lived experience — is sufficient to serve as the sole standard by which our faith and practice are to be measured.

J,

I agree and I've been on Al Mohler's side since 2019 (with the exception of the tired meaningless Neo-Marxist label).

All that JBS and Maga White Nationalism stuff must really get under your skin.

Or how about when cRayQ shares all those stories of blacks committing crimes with the intention of highlighting, emphasizing and differentiating the black criminal mind and behavior in supposed opposition to whites.

Or all the other posts here that attack immigrants, Mexicans, LGBTQ, etc which "collectively designates people by their social identity groups (e.g., people of color, women, homosexuals, and transgenders) which views people “according to the flesh” (2 Cor 5:16)".

That all must infuriate you as you reaffirm your agreement with the historic, biblically-faithful Southern Baptist condemnations of racism in any and all forms and your agreement with The Baptist Faith and Message which states “that Christ died for man; therefore, every person of every race possesses full dignity and is worthy of respect and Christian love”

p.s.- opposition to the legal concept of "critical race theory" doesn't get you off the hook for opposing any racism.

According to an ABC News poll conducted last year, blacks are even more likely than whites to admit that they “have at least some feelings of racial prejudice.” Thirty-eight percent of blacks admitted to those feelings while only 34 percent of whites did. I use the word admit because people notoriously underreport negative behaviors on polls, and knowing which groups may underreport and to what degree is impossible to gauge. For more objectivity, we need more scientific measures like Project Implicit, a virtual laboratory maintained by Harvard, the University of Washington and the University of Virginia that has administered hundreds of thousands of online tests designed to detect hidden racial biases. Tests taken from 2000 to 2006 found that a whopping three-quarters of whites have an implicit pro-white/anti-black bias, while 40 percent of blacks had a pro-black/anti-white bias, about the same amount as those admitting racial prejudice in the poll.

Furthermore, a January poll by the Pew Research Center found that most blacks agree that blacks who can’t get ahead are most responsible for their own condition. Only about a third said that racial discrimination was the main reason.

This whole hollow argument is further evidence that many whites are exhibiting the same culture of racial victimization that they decry.

Anonymous said...

The latest evidence of this comes in a poll released this week that was conducted by the nonprofit, nonpartisan Public Religion Research Institute and financed by the Ford Foundation. The poll found that 62 percent of whites who identified as Tea Party members, 56 percent of white Republicans, and even 53 percent of white independents said that today discrimination against whites has become as big a problem as discrimination against blacks and other minorities. Only 30 percent of white Democrats agreed with that statement.

It’s an extraordinary set of responses. And my question is the same one used by the right to defend the Tea Party against claims of racism: Where’s the proof? There’s a mound of scientific evidence a mile high that documents the broad, systematic and structural discrimination against minorities. Where’s the comparable mound of documentation for discrimination against whites? There isn’t one.

We can find racial prejudices in all segments of the population, but pretending that the degree and consequences are comparable is neither true nor helpful. And attributing to the agitation of the “colored” masses to the self-aggrandizement of a callous few is truly detrimental.

In fact, some on the right seem to be doing with the race issue what they’ve done with the climate-change issue: denying the basic facts and muddying the waters around them until no one can see clearly enough to have an honest discussion or develop thoughtful solutions.

I had thought that the reflexive denials and defenses of many on the right were simply an overreaction to, in their view, being unfairly accused of racism on too broad a scale. My present worry is that denial may be the new normal and that the hot language of the past summer has cooled and hardened into a permanently warped perception of the very meaning of discrimination and racism. I worry that the last bit of distance between where we are and where we want to be on racial reconciliation is being drawn through an ever-narrowing, ever-more-treacherous terrain.

In the name of progress, the public must reclaim the facts of the race debate in this country. Many racial problems have been solved but many remain. Some we must tackle within our individual communities and others must be dealt with between them. Racism isn’t everywhere we imagine it, but it is in far more places than we admit. If we can start from common points of agreement, we can come much closer to common ground. But to do that, everyone must step out of the shadows of denial and into the brutal light of honesty.

Booker T. Washington was right that there are some who may not “want the patient to get well.” Those people exist on all sides of the debate, and they will always be there. But they’re a minority. Cast them aside. Let the rest of us start with this point of agreement: The patient is doing better but is still sick. (end)

Where’s the comparable mound of documentation for discrimination against whites? There isn’t one.

Affirmative Action for starters.

Anonymous said...

7:32 pm --- Most recently "affirmative action" implemented as diversity or race balancing priorities at universities ended up discriminating mostly against Asian Americans in favor of whites and blacks.

This coming fall the republican supreme court will likely be striking down this form of affirmative action and thereafter our Ivy League and other Tier One colleges could be primarily filled by Asian Americans and other immigrants.

Or...since many of them went to Ivy League schools they fall on the side of Harvard and continue to allow these race based philosophies in college admissions (and elsewhere).

The irony.

J,

Going back to the BEREAN PATRIOT link you provided both in the last post and this one (bereanpatriot.com/the-johannine-comma-of-1-john-57-8-added-or-removed/), I note these two fundamental errors (and these are not the only ones):

---
“Let’s pause for a moment. There is no place in all of scripture (that I can’t think [sic]) with the phrase ‘and these three are one’ except the Comma. None.”
---

Even without the Comma “and these three are one” is found in 1John 5:8. Thus, to simply look for these words is a fundamental mistake. It’s much more important to find “the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit”, preferably in the nominative case as it appears in the Comma of the Textus Receptus

Yet BEREAN PATRIOT cites Cyprian below as “a crystal clear allusion”, AFTER first claiming he “clearly quotes” it. So, which is it? It cannot be both. It must be one or the other (bold added for my emphasis):

---
“Cyprian clearly quotes the Comma. He lived from 200 – 258, and so also predated Aruis [sic] and the Arian controversies. This is a crystal clear allusion to the Comma:

“’The Lord says, “I and the Father are one;” and again it is written of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, “And these three are one.”’
---

One might think I’m being overly picky, but this sort of thing above indicates a lack of scholarly rigor and intellectual honesty. One shouldn’t merely try to confirm one’s bias, as this writer seems to be doing. Just do a control-f search for "cyprian" on the article to see the how the author variously states the significance of this quote.

Most importantly, note that Cyprian uses “the Son” and NOT “the Word” here—the latter as it would appear in the Comma, NOT the former. Thus, this clearly contradicts his/her claim that Cyprian “clearly quotes the Comma”. It is at best a paraphrase. At best.

But the problem with these sorts of “it is written” quotes is that unless the one citing Scripture indicates the book from which he is citing, we may not know exactly just what is being cited. Myself, upon reading the portion of Cyprian’s De ecclesiae catholicae unitate “…of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit…” is that this itself is in the genitive, and would be an exact translation of the Greek of Matthew 28:19 into Latin. So, it could be that Cyprian quoted Matthew 28:19, and then 1John 5:8 (no Comma). That’s not say he didn’t paraphrase a presumed Comma. We don’t know for sure.

In my first search to see if someone else was thinking what I was thinking re Matthew 28:19, my first hit was this article:

Did Cyprian Quote the Comma Johanneum?

It is worth reading in its entirety.

Non Greek text sources I'm checking include Waldensian Bibles and a Second Century Old Latin Bible.

One more argument in favor of the authenticity of the Johannine Comma, which won't convince scholars but may possibly have a little weight (you decide) is that the number seven is the number of completion.

John would write about the Word only six times in the Bible if the Johannine Comma is left out. If the Johannine Comma is included, he would write about the Word seven times. Those seven times would be:

* Three occurrences in John 1:1

* One occurrence in John 1:14

* One occurrence in 1 John 1:1

* One occurrence in 1 John 5:7 (if the Johannine Comma is included)

* One occurrence in Revelation 19:13

The references to the Word in the New Testament (capitalized as a name of Jesus) add up to 6 if the Johannine Comma is not included. The references add up to 7 if the Johannine Comma is included.

FYI -- Apparently in February 2022 (or this winter sometime) "The Passion Translation" was removed from BibleGateway.com.

Also...wouldn't the KJV also be considered a "modern translation"? It's not an original manuscript in any sense of the word, just an earlier "modern translation" that also has difficulties with translating multiple historical versions into an English.

Three scholars who advocate for including the Johannine Comma on the basis of making an argument from grammar are Edward Hills, Floyd Jones and Thomas Holland. Their argument from grammar is regarded by textual critics as having been debunked.

But Professor Georgios Babiniotis would not agree with them. He is a one of the most respected Greek linguists alive today, and he is the author of the Greek dictionary, often called the Babiniotis dictionary.

You can read more details here:

https://johanninecomma.blogspot.com/2020/09/voulgaris-vindicated-by-leading-greek.html

Usually only gender is considered in the grammar. Professor Babiniotis agreed but went beyond gender, writing:

'So for Modern Linguistic analysis what is important is not the mere grammatical “gender agreement rule” (which would lead to the usage of neuter gender : «καὶ τρία εἰσὶ τὰ μαρτυροῦντα ἐν τῇ γῇ…»), but the overruling schema of “syntactic parallelism” which is much more stronger than a simple gender agreement rule'

And again:

'George later said in an email:

“...I have given you my own linguistic explanation which is to keep verse 5.7. which justifies verse 5.8. It is grammatical and mainly “syntactic parallelism” of these two verses...”'

J,

From my understanding, only the 5 judges (and their senior staff) that voted for that opinion would have access to the 1st draft majority opinion this early in the drafting process.

Opus Dei controls the court and, I'm betting every one of those 5 judges is opus dei affiliated.

Opus Dei is about the destruction of American (protestant) democratic institutions which in this instance would be the court itself being usurped by leaks AND getting a jump on summer political unrest throughout the country. Why wait for the end of June when you can release it earlier.

Also...June is closer to the mid-term election than now so alt right elements release it now in hopes it doesn't affect the November election as much.

It's all speculation at this point but no matter who leaked it, it's still wonderful news (if true) and something I totally predicted prior to the 2020 election. There's no denying that if Biden didn't win this wouldn't have happened.

x

p.s. - I also suspect the new age alt-right deep state now wants this (they never did before - they liked black mothers killing their babies) due to the US Birth Rage post-trump plunge becoming a big issue. As nationalists like Putin and other authoritarians initiate global warfare...it helps to have more canon fodder on the way to replace all the anticipated dead young men. Besides the wealthy and educated (political donors) don't need abortion clinics anymore when they can just order plan b pills online.

J @ 12:51 PM,

You can find Tertullian’s Adversus Praxeus here:

www.newadvent.org/fathers/0317.htm

It’s a good site to find a whole host of info on Church Fathers—though I’ll qualify that it’s an RCC site (and I don’t see that as a bad thing for such purposes).

Do a control-f search for “father, the word” and you’ll find it yields no results. However, a search of “father, the son” DOES yield 4.

Priscillian (or Bishop Instantius) certainly used this verbiage. He’s recognized as the first. But it’s presumed to be an interpretation of 1John 5:8, as opposed to a quote of Scripture. As a present day quasi-analogy, one can find MANY ‘quotes’ of Ted Turner on population reduction which include the verbiage "a 95% decline”; however, I actually found the original quote, which DOES NOT include that verbiage. It’s an interpretation of it (and not an incorrect one). I note it here in a blog post, with an accompanying image of the actual text in Audobon:

notunlikelee.wordpress.com/2012/08/28/ted-turners-math-problem/

So, it’s very plausible that someone saw the verbiage in Priscillian, assumed it was part of Scripture, and from there others ‘quoted’ it.

Going back to the first set of comments in which one of yours sources claimed the Arians removed the Comma from 1John, because Arius and his followers denied the Deity of Christ. The problem with this is that John 10:30 (I and the Father are one) is found in a number of manuscripts, and there are NO variants in this particular portion. And that’s just one example.

Entertaining such an idea that the Arians removed the Comma from Greek mss finds difficulty in a more fundamental way. Arius was from Alexandria. Could we really imagine his followers were able to go to Byzantium and all other regions where there were Greek mss, successfully changing them ALL (or most—these others now lost), and it wasn’t until MUCH later that the verbiage found itself in Greek mss—as a note in the margin? It’s more likely that the Latin tradition was placed into the margin of these mss to call attention to the fact that this verbiage is known elsewhere, but is doubtful as actual Scripture.

---

J @ 1:32 P,

“…which won't convince scholars…”

I’m sure you’re correct about that. Scholars look for actual evidence of a particular thing first, then decide how to interpret it. It’s never the reverse—a possible interpretation never drives the evidence.

7:43 X, the truth may never be known, but I suspect that the honorable justice Kavanaugh had something to do with the leak. Republicans do not want to end roe vs wade. and neither do most Christians. They're all against abortion until an unexpected pregnancy happens to their unmarried child. I've counseled with many young women whose Christian mothers influenced them to have an abortion. Some did, some didn't, but either way it brought division and years of bitterness and unforgiveness to the family.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

J @ 1:55 PM,

The key to responding to this is found in the words “Modern Linguistics”. We are talking about 1st century Koine Greek, over against Modern Greek.

John would sometimes use a bit of, shall we say, creative license in the way he wrote. An example of purposefully ‘breaking grammar rules’ is found in Revelation 1:4. There we see apo ho ōn (“from the-One-Who is/exists”), in which the preposition apo should be followed by a genitive (a genitival phrase), yet John uses a nominative (a substantivized participle) to follow it. A similar ‘bad grammar’ issue is found in ho ēn (“the He-was” ~ “the One Who was”) which has a finite verb prefixed with an article (a ‘substantivized finite verb’), which, on the surface, is really bad grammar.

In the case of 1John 5:7-8 in the Critical Text, a masculine substantivized subject has a predicate with three neuter nominatives. This ‘non-agreement’ is because “water” and “blood” are personified as witnesses, and on the basis of the 2-3 witnesses (male) in Jewish jurisprudence, the subject and the following “and these three are one” are masculine.

And if we are going to go with syntactical parallelism, I’d think we should apply verbal parallelism as well. That is, the three earthly witnesses should be seen as counterparts to the heavenly witnesses:

The Father – the Spirit
The Word – the water
The Holy Ghost/Spirit – the blood

Note that we have “the Spirit” and the “the Holy Spirit”, i.e., we have the Spirit twice and not in parallel with each other. And I’m not sure exactly how these pairs would be parsed within its overall context.

In any case, contextually, the subject here is Jesus Christ (v 6). He (Jesus) came by water and blood, and the Spirit (‘Who is the truth’) testifies to this (v 6). Omitting the Comma, and we find those same three as testifiers (v 7-8)—the Spirit (in distinction from the “Holy Spirit”), the water, and the blood—as one unified testimony. I suppose John could have added “Holy” to “Spirit” as found in the Comma, but it seems odd in this context. As does the entire Comma.

Well, wrong again, x.
I am glad for the very hope that it can be overturned and prayed for those voting to overturn it have the strength to stay that course. Right is right no matter who is ding it. Sure isn't right over in your camp. But--it's not over till it's done and this isn't done. And hope for a good thing is a good thing whomever helps bring it about. Isn't you and your camp. Your death cult's goals have done extreme damage. We shall see what God recovers according to His will, if anything, in this too. God always brings a good plan in place (somehow-even out of faulty people's ways) to bring to fruition somewhere. I take this like I have been learning to do for the last several years, just one day at a time. Pray and hope in God, and leave the outcome to Him. He is where all credit belongs. I guess you can't bring yourself to say that.

And I also know that whatever happens is all short-lived because the ruination of this nation
to help usher in globalism is still tracking. Meanwhile, you are so perverse in your bias you can't call good good when you see or hear of it. That's troubling..for you. And accusing and affixing blame is your game. It's a loser. My eyes are on God not politics, so I don't care what you make of it. I just know you are an attention hound and your posts are about you and your miserable, negative, caustic, unchristian way to view people you can't/won't tolerate.

So God is still doing great things in spite of what we see because He is looking for souls not political solutions. I am praising God for the stand these people have made thus far and pray we see something truly come of it..but either way, God is on His throne, so politics is not what this is about--the GAME you insist on playing...and playing god to judge where you have no business. But keep on trusting O'Biden and company as they are where your hopes are at.
Hating Conservatives is your bread and butter. Don't choke on it.
And save your prayers. I don't need a thing you offer to God.
My hopes are resting high above the earthly plane. Too bad about yours..

X-rated states:

"However, the more and more I TRY to think I can vote Republican the more the Republican party and people that call themselves republican disappoint me. I think there is more room for real Christians to lead within the Democrat party than the heretical alt right who already mistakenly think they are Christians."

NOTE: Perfectly logical, that is, if you are some kind of lunatic. Just look at all of the over the top reactions by ALL of the LEADING DEMOCRATS (see my posts above). Nothing gets die hard Democrats worked up more into a frenzy than ANY serious attempt to save innocent lives from being slaughtered in their mother's womb.

A close second for Democrats would probably be if the USSC announced that grown men with beards that think they are women should not be allowed into the rest rooms of little girls.

I said this many years ago and it's worth repeating: remove all of the weirdos, freaks, perverts, communists, socialists, drug users, Christ haters, abortionists, LGBTQ+++ enthusiasts, etc. from the Democratic Party, and who would be left?

Take just 4 1/2 minutes to hear this part of the debate (until the 1:03 mark):

Should We Exclusively Use The King James Bible?

Reachout Trust

Doug Harris hosts a debate between Jack Moorman and Dr James White on the subject should we exclusively use the King James Bible. This program was first broadcast on Revelation TV.

The first comment (by glockbite) is relevant:

As an English and Spanish translator, I can say there is an ignorance in understanding differences in language. Things like sentence structure, word meanings, projected ideas etc., all are important when trying to accurately say what someone said. It is why there exist the saying "lost in translation" I think people should learn another language to truly capture the difficulty and see for themselves that it is as much a science as an art. There is a difference in the way I would interpret for a native speaker and to one in a second language. I feel sorry for others when they are kjvonlyists. This does not help, either the body of Christ, nor apologists. Dr.James is solid in his defense.

Though I agree with the thrust of his/her (prolly a guy given that moniker) comment, I can understand others here disagreeing. For me, the main point is the portion about learning another language.

I don't recall who stated it, but someone disparaged Eugene Nida because he supposedly advocated functional ("dynamic") equivalence (as opposed to formal). From my understanding he just made a distinction between two different types of translational strategies: formal equivalence and functional equivalence. Formal equivalence is more word-for-word: nouns translated as nouns, verbs as verbs, etc. Functional equivalence is thought-for-thought. This is especially important when trying to translate idiomatic phrases, many of which are figurative. An example is 'hitting it out of the park', when referring to something besides a baseball game.

When I translate I prefer formal equivalency, but in some cases it's impossible without sounding odd.

In any case, Nida is a first rate linguist, who partnered with Johannes P. Louw on their Greek-English Lexicon, which sorts by meaning categories instead of alphabetically. It's a great tool to find synonyms.

I appreciate your posts, RayB.

It's easy to see but hard to watch, the sold out ones on the right side of the aisle trying to put a good spin on how they've botched so much opportunity, and how it makes the Democrat crazies wet themselves trying to figure out ways to sound righteous and superior while they sink deeper into the insanity they've chosen.

When people 'play god' with the world the Lord created, with lives of people He created in His own image to try to make the world after man's image and ideas instead, debauchery is the only result. It's so saddening to me.

Professing themselves to be wise they'll cave in to become utter and complete fools......so many are becoming reprobate. God knows who they are, I do not. You can hope and pray people will reach a turning point to turn back toward God, but the Bible is clear that the vast majority will not turn, no matter how much grace has been faithfully shown, they will not repent of their prideful foolishness and run toward evil anyway. I keep praying for family members and friends and neighbors that are right now playing it safe on the fence, but we know God is going to let the pressure mount to either choose Himself, His plan of salvation, or be left with the only other alternative--evil continually. I see that just up ahead now. Only God can turn it all back from the cliff's edge. It's His call and among them there's a remnant, just a remnant...
I keep thanking Jesus for the great exchange, for the great escape, provided by the Cross, for the great day coming...when faith will be made sight, to see the Risen Lord.
Stay encouraged people of God!

Did you even see the most recent Madison Cawthorn pictures?

Personally, I'd rather be governed by a non-Christian (yet saveable) American that's a Democrat than the current bunch of authoritarian promoting and excusing, new age, maga-qanon, ecumenical-minded, pseudo-Christian republicans that seem bent on undermining and destroying our country.

Craig 11:22 PM,

I read your post, and I'm going to watch that video later.

Dynamic equivalence is a big issue for translations into other languages. All over South America, guinea pigs are used in translation instead of lambs. South America even has religious paintings of guinea pigs being served for Passover.

Just saying that it gets quickly out of hand once dynamic equivalence is preferred, but I understand what you're saying. I don't think it's completely 100% avoidable, either.

Maybe stop being a victim.

Touch the black customer's hand when you hand out change not because you might lose your job otherwise; but, because you have no idea what it's really like to grow up and be surrounded by a majority of people that smile to your face but hate you and talk racist crap behind your back.

Maybe cut ties with MAGA (Trump and all associated with him running around trying to emulate him like DeSanitis and others that garner votes in his name), as has Mrs. Cumbey, due to its ties to anti-Black and anti-Semite White Nationalism/tribalism (i.e. - Steven Miller, etc).

Maybe reread the SBC resolutions you cited and call out the Rayb and others in your real life when they say racist stuff and separate people within Christianity by their political and social identities into groups and use racist identity politics. Reconsider the motivations of those that make voting republican a Christian "work" who are, by inference, claiming nearly all of our black brothers and sisters in Christ aren't really Christians as well as being angered at the rogue whites voting democrat as clueless traitors to their "tribe".

Maybe don't stop trying because it's hard.

It is a pLandemic and the injection is to reduce the population via euthanasia for the elderly and sterilization for the young. The first major step towards the new world order Constance warned us all about.

All the deaths were the same as ever, just renamed, repurposed. No more people died in 2020 than in 2019. In some places, less people died. And if there was an increase, was the normal increase of every year for the population also increases.

Even in the CDC website they admit that 95% of the so called covid deaths were in people with 2 or more comorbidities, and the remaining 5% they suggest were also people with comorbidities, dangerous diseases and poor health, so they would die anyway, just the doctors forgot to list the comorbitidies for the 5% left to complete 100% fraud.

My God I expected more from Constance.

Anyway, may God bless her and open her eyes so she will keep taking the lethal injection, and soon or later, she will get a strong one and it will be too much poison.

X 9:38 AM,

I was under no obligation to touch anybody's hand, of any race or sex, when I handed out change. In fact, that is less sanitary. Some people have sweaty and dirty hands. Even before COVID, there were germs around to be spread. I mastered the art of coming within a fraction of an inch of somebody's hand and then from there, it was a tiny drop into their hand, to place the change. I had every right to choose to handle it that way. Part of my job description was NOT touching every man equally to make each of them feel equally as if I might "have" him. I had to work at night, and I certainly wanted to maintain professionalism with NO misunderstandings that I might be flirting. I had to deal with a lot of crap, more than I'll tell now, and a lot of it came from white men. But a white LITTLE BOY never, ever flirted with me. Little black boys who could barely see over the counter standing on their tip toes flirted with me. Somebody TAUGHT THEM to behave that way, and I felt no anger but a little bemusement and a little sympathy FOR THEM.

A couple of verses for X-rated to ponder, as he continues to spread his lies. There is very little doubt, he won't. Violent, psychopathic, pathological liars such as X cannot help themselves. They love their sin far too much to humble themselves and truly repent.

"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and ALL LIARS, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
- Revelation 21:8

"For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and WHOSOEVER LOVETH AND MAKETH A LIE." - Revelation 22:15

NOTICE that the verse in Rev. 21:8 states "ALL LIARS." And yes, that includes even those that 'profess' a faith in Christ.

"Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble." - James 2:19

Joe Biden: Constitution Gives Right to ‘Abort a Child’ — ‘Mainstream’ Religions Agree with Roe v. Wade

“The idea that we’re gonna make a judgment that is going to say that no one can make the judgment to choose to abort a child based on a decision by the Supreme Court I think goes way overboard,” Biden said. (Didn't mention that it was the Supreme Court that made it LEGAL to kill children. But that is OK with Death Cult Leader Biden).

“Look, think what Roe says. Roe says what all basic mainstream religions have historically concluded — that the right — that the existence of a human life and being is a question. Is it at the moment of conception? Is it six months? Is it six weeks?” (No one asked Death Cult Leader Biden if he would be here now if his mother decided to abort him @ "six weeks").

I completely disagree with your opinion here. Republicans were and are at a moment to be shaped by black, conservative Americans more than ever before. It's politics. It's coalitions. Sometimes we all have to hold our noses, or we would never vote.

Look at all the Hispanics seeing their opportunity to be included in and to play a shaping role in the Republican party. They are smart. Now their votes need to be courted by both Democratic and Republican politicians.

Not so with the majority of black voters. Democrats are able to take their votes for granted.

It's the same for me as a middle class, educated, white woman who has been a swing voter throughout my voting life (I voted for Kerry, not that I like him now).

White working class men don't reliably always vote for the Democratic party, in spite of union history.

I don't agree with you at all. Yes, Trump offended me sometimes, but I didn't have to marry him. He's not behind the pulpit preaching when I go to church. It was politics. Politics is about compromises and coalitions. It doesn't happen any other way.

I'll answer your other paragraph about the SBC resolutions in another post.

Blacks are extremely over represented, nearly across the board! Just turn on the television etc.

To be Black in the west, is a clear advantage over all other groups!

I'm old enough to remember when Native Americans were a minority voice that was heard. Not now. Everything is about Blacks.

The problem is that Blacks have been trained to the constant victim role. With some exceptions of course. There are always exceptions. The worst thing that ever happened to Blacks, is the Democratic Party.

It doesn't help that Blacks before being bought, and paid for, or stolen, and brought here, were largely involved in witchcraft in Africa. Still are today! What Blacks need is repentance and mass deliverance. Not more stuff.

Of course saying such things isn't PC. So there will be howling. Always howling.

I don't think God sees all nations, and peoples as exactly equal. Read the bible. We can all be saved, and if we do right, rewarded. But to preach that God sees all nations, and peoples as completely equal isn't scriptural.

Almost every race and ethnicity - and women, too - can be alienated from Christianity because of the serpent's lie that it's from the culture or from the psyche of white males. I mean this in a humanist sense in the first case (culture), and in a New Age sense in the second case (psyche). People can't really believe this without believing in God, the God of the Bible.

It's sad that so many buy into the lie, and they are their biggest victims, to the extent that they do buy into this lie. It could have consequences for their eternal life. The devil has a million pathways to temptation away from God and away from the Bible. He is a marketing expert. He has a marketing angle for everybody. He is an equal opportunity destroyer, liar and thief.

The Democrat party is not the party it was 70 years ago (neither is the Republican party).
But at least, there is some rhyme and reason to some of the Republican policy making compared to the other side, which has become so caustic and wretched to liberally make victims out of as many as they can, with any and every come on that they can, to keep their bigger and bigger government hands on, intruding into every single facet of our lives.

We get to the NWO finish line much faster going the Democrat route.

And it's grotesque, gruesome, and deadly, especially for any actual victims, for innocents, for people who want to have and grow a family with decency and reasonable freedoms and responsibility upon them---because with the licentiousness (not true and freeing liberty our founders established) of the Democrats there is never a healing, no recourse to improve anything, just more excuse to be diseased, wasted, abandoned, abused, in the socialism and every other ism they propagate..and I notice that is to their benefit, monetarily, as well as the out of bounds power grabs in the halls of governing.
It's sick and wrong and why anyone who thinks their self a decent citizen (especially those who say they are believers in Jesus Christ) of this country would want that to hand this down to our future generations are sick and wrong too.

How wrong you are.

There are innumerable contributions to the good of society from the world's peoples.
There are innumerable contributions to the bad of society from the ethnicities.
But there is only one race..the human race.
And is all so homogenized now there is no real difference anyway. Our very DNA proves this.

The Bible teaches there are two kinds of people. Saved or lost.
God the Father has given the world the gift of His Son to find their way to real life through Him, and it's not here, in culture, race, governments, or earthly goals or gains, but in the Lord. Our country once provided great opportunity for that..like nowhere else in the world.
Romans 8
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Romans 11
22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?

35 Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

You can't rightly, correctly, apply that to others, any others. That is the exclusive job of the Holy Spirit Who can do that with equity...and with love, certainly not you.
You've proven time and again you are a deeply troubled person.
That's why you come regurgitate, barf it up here.

And you don't win friends that way, that's for sure.

I agree 100% and of course with the Scriptures that you posted.

On a personal note; I attended a racially mixed high school in a major US city in which virtually every race you can think of was represented. It was a very good 'education' experientially. Except for a very small pesky minority on each side, whites and blacks (the two major ethnic groups) got along very well with each other.

I once had a very long conversation (3 1/2 hours) about 'race' with a very successful, highly educated Black business associate of mine. One of the things I said that day was this: "I have known some Black people that I would not want as neighbors. I have also known White people that I would not want as neighbors. I have also known both Blacks and Whites that I would LOVE to have as neighbors. However, NONE of my preferences would be based upon the race of the individuals. ALL of it would be based upon their behavior, and nothing else."

God deals with EACH AND EVERY person as an INDIVIDUAL. When we face Him, we will do so as an individual. Your 'race' will carry no influence on that day. Neither will the 'church' that you belong to, or, who and what your mother or father were. You will either stand, covered in the blood of CHRIST alone, or, you will stand on your own merits ... a foundation that is built, at best, upon shifting sand. An individual's race, color of their skin, etc. will mean NOTHING on that day. Whether you are white, black, yellow, Jew, Gentile, etc., etc. means nothing. Your standing with Christ, and Him alone is the only thing that counts. Everything else is pure vanity.

"ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."

Do you really want some insight as to how our Congress really operates? Watch this revealing interview:

Michael Voris sits down with U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., representing Georgia’s 14th District.

https://www.churchmilitant.com/video/episode/intv-marjorie-for-pope

PS: Marjorie Taylor Greene is an 'ordinary' American that somehow was able to get herself elected to Congress, not an easy task by any stretch of the imagination. She also is a professing Bible believing Christian. In this interview, she reveals the spiritual battles that are clearly being waged ... a very interesting perspective.

"t there is only one race..the human race.
And is all so homogenized now there is no real difference anyway."

There is your ERROR.

Satan and his 'human agents' have 'homogenized' his mess. THERE is your problem.
If only there was a way to identify his agents and then break their necks. But those very agents have ensured there is no resistance or unity in fighting them.

God made nations to be separate, not this synthetic movement of mass migrations to water down and dilute once proud peoples into some mixed pot. Destroying boundaries, borders, blending male and female into androgyny, inverting EVERYTHING that is natural and good.

Are you crazy or stupid?

I was pondering it more, and Christianity started out in the Middle East, not in Europe. It started out where so many people are mixed. Arab means "mixed." The Israelites had come out of Egypt, after having spent 400 years there.

Now Christianity is associated with the West and with white males. But it's all over the world. It's in Africa, New Guinea, China, Japan. The Japanese Christians are an extremely tiny percentage of the population. But Japan has Christians.

Worldwide, there are more Christians in other lands, than there are in the United States and Europe, by number.

How ironic that few people know that Norma McCorvey, who was the 'Jane Roe' of the infamous Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court case legalizing abortion, never had an abortion and eventually became pro-life and dedicated her life to overturning the Supreme Court decision that bared her pseudonym before she passed away in 2017.

Jesus, in His humanity--as the Son of Man and Son of God, was mixed race.
Of the line and lineage of David, He had within Him, the blood of the Moabite, they were enemies of the Hebrews long time ago. Ruth, the wife of Boaz, was King David's great grandmother and Jesus received the DNA of those generations before Him from His mother Mary's side. What other people's are represented in His bloodline I am sure is varied..

Jesus lived as the "every man" and died for every man--all of us have sinned as RAYB quoted earlier. He identified Himself with sinful men, all made in God's image but in need of a Savior, that we may get an identity change in His substitution, taking our place of judgment on the cross, that by faith in Him we may become the forgiven people of God, inheriting those riches at His expense. What an exchange for all the ages happened there! We all have a debt we could not pay and He paid the debt He did not owe..

DNA only backs up the Word of God, and says it is you who is wrong.

I just remembered that Rahab the harlot from Jericho, who hid the spies, is in Jesus' bloodline also. She was the mother of Boaz. She later married Salmon, a Hebrew man and Boaz was their son who married Ruth the Moabitess.
The Lord Jesus was definitely of very mixed blood when He walked on the earth in flesh.
He really is the every man for every man........

Tucker Carlson says Biden voted AGAINST Roe v Wade in 1982

In 1982, the then 39-year-old senator supported a constitutional amendment to the ruling, citing his Roman Catholic religion for his support

But the bill never made it to the full Senate, and when it came back up the following year, Biden voted against it and has since supported abortion rights

I admit that I am highly skeptical, especially when it comes to politics, the media and organized 'religion.'

When I first heard of the so-called 'leak' regarding the Supreme Court's draft opinion regarding the possibility of overturning Roe v. Wade, my initial reaction was "why now?" Why, after all of these years, is the USSC suddenly realizing that the right to murder babies was NEVER in the U.S. Constitution? After almost 50 years? There is something much more about all of this, and as usual, the truth lies well below the surface. So what is it?

For one, the Democrats are facing an absolute blood bath in November. It's going to be a tsunami, whereby, as it stands, the GOP will regain the House & Senate. The radical agenda of Biden/Harris will be DEAD. What's worse, is that Trump's endorsements in yesterday's primaries ran the table, making Trump a MAJOR player whether he runs in '24 or not. That's a scary proposition. Is this *fake threat to ending abortion enough to rally Biden's crazed radicals? Only time will tell.

Read what Michelle Malkin has to say about all of this. I think she's got it pretty much figured out ...

Michelle Malkin: Aborti-Mania: The Perfectly Planned Meltdown

https://vdare.com/articles/michelle-malkin-aborti-mania-the-perfectly-planned-meltdown

* I call it 'fake' because I do not believe anything serious is going to come of this. IMO, there are Deep State reasons for wanting abortions to continue; proven by the fact that there has never been a serious, concerted effort to ending legalized abortions since it was initiated in 1973 ... by neither Democrats or Republicans.

RayB, Yes, the timing makes one skeptical and there has always been some major sell out on this issue before. I sure hope something can actually come of it, but then, it ain't over till it's really done and done. I am not holding my breath but I am praying. Hard to know what may be the outcome. I do know that there are plenty of people in our governance who want people at each other's throats. This interim is pretty quiet from the Conservative side. Are pro-life people afraid this is too good to be true?
The hijinks and hijacks gone on before us are still a favorite ploy of the powers that be.
Deception is at an all time high..I know that much.

Dear 2:14 PM
What you describe is the work of politics, and how this world has to navigate for now, from both a right standpoint and also the wrong standpoint in it's fallen state.. Within the natural realm (yes this is the realm of the prince of the power of the air currently) where these questions have to be addressed since we all share this planet as our place to be at the moment (and sometimes right, sometimes wrong has been everyone's--all people's--contribution down through time) are the many prejudices and fears built into sinful people, (but some good hopes can be present too). One day in Christ there will be none of that. It will all be made right someday under His hand.
Some of the way people conduct themselves today is necessary, and certainly security and other concerns are part of that equation. I understand that. World politics has gone way beyond now into very evil territory, is a given, working against the right hopes of people, any and everywhere. The world system does not allow for the choices we want many times, some issues get "chosen" for us..no, this isn't a perfect world. But one is coming for those found under the Blood of Christ.
But the makeup of people around the world by their DNA is above and beyond that. And all the differences have meld, merged, into a homogenous pool so finding the real difference comes down to the point that was made at 1:04 PM.
Boiled all the way down there is really only 2 kinds of people in the world as was stated.
We have a freewill to choose.

RayB said...

Anon @ 5:38 PM ...

I'm an atheist when it comes to politics. I have far too much personal experience to be anything but.

Let me expound on that. Just one illustration; this ALWAYS gets a rise out of Conservatives when I say this:

Ronald Reagan was arguably the most pro-life POTUS we ever had. Yet, at a very critical time when the balance of the USSC was up for grabs, Reagan nominated Sandra Day O'Connor (from Reagan's State of California). O'Connor had a well-documented history for being pro-abortion. Of course she was approved and served a very long tenure on the Court, whereby she consistently voted with the liberals on the Court when it came to life issues.

This is just one of many examples as to why I argue that America's politicians regarding abortion follow a Deep State secret agenda. The history of both parties on this issue is well documented and gives ample credence to that charge.

Furthermore, for two entire years, the GOP held the House, Senate and White House under Trump. Yet, not one single piece of serious legislation was ever introduced that would at least have challenged the Court's unconstitutional Roe v. Wade ruling in '73. That in itself should tell us something. "Pro-Life" George W. Bush also had the same scenario for two years which resulted in nothing but rhetoric.

The Deep State is the shadow government that controls BOTH parties. I've always said; With the Democrats you get a bullet train, with the GOP you get a slower moving locomotive. But in the end, you end up at the very same train station.

Only by God's people turning back to Him and His Word ... out of fear and faith ... will this country ever have a true healing. Personally, I don't see ANY real signs of that happening. Instead, I see 'christians' that seek comfort, prosperity and entertainment. And, this slide has been going on for well over 75 years, but it has accelerated in the last 40 years!

If I'm wrong in my analogy, I'd like to hear what others have to say.

6:28 PM @ RayB.

Pretty much my sentiments also.
I wrote to Sandra Day O'Connor back then to express my thoughts and opinion about abortion and it's use as a convenient tool rather than what it was sold under and only proved an excuse "to save the life of the mother"...only a ruse. I did not know her history on that subject, but I did write to her a one page letter. I poured my heart out.
I found it so disappointing that so many opportunities have been squandered to political expediency, and both sides of the aisle are responsible in my book, but I was hoping to see abortion in the forefront as the issue, above all others and there are plenty of other issues for certain. But life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, is the nutshell, the essence to everything else, when the weakest among us are threatened then surely everyone else is too, so it's been literally denied to millions of innocent babes because they are an inconvenience to wayward people who are in pursuit in anything but happiness. Adoption was/is always a viable solution.

So I voted and hoped and hoped and voted, and here we are today. SAD.
I pray, but my hopes are not strong to see this done, actually accomplished. Maybe God will surprise me, but honestly, I think it's too late.
God is judging America, the world. Globalism is what it's been begging for.."peace and security" (safety)...what the Bible warned us about..and will get it. And the no real peace and no real security it will provide..for everyone is in some pretty slick packaging that too many are bought into. Covid especially, sure highlighted and proved that.

Having worked for, and knowing, politicians personally, I can tell you emphatically that the bulk of their behind the scenes time is spent scheming to get themselves either re-elected, or, advancing to a higher office. The interests of the people is NOT discussed or considered outside of how certain issues might play to their base. Just about everything you hear a politician say in public is nothing but rhetoric. Few voters actually take the time to check to see how their candidates actually vote AFTER the election, and guess what? The politicians KNOW that! And even when they are caught breaking a campaign promise, they lie their way out of it by making some lame excuse as to why they 'had' to vote that way ... 'because a contrary vote would have cost hundreds of jobs in my district, blah, blah, blah."

Regarding money in politics: Former Dem. Speaker of the House "Tip" O'Neill, in a rare moment of honesty, remarked "MONEY is the Mother's milk of all politics." The "money" that he was referring to is that of special interests and lobbyists. It drives virtually EVERYTHING. Voters that don't "contribute" typically get nothing other than lip service (every politician keeps lists of his/her donors). It is a VERY corrupt system ... it always has been.

Besides, the sin of abortion is really an extension of the sin that produced the baby in the first place. It is the end result of sinful rebellion against God, as most abortions are related to promiscuous behavior, which of course means that this is a SPIRITUAL issue, and not a POLITICAL one. That's why, IMO, this issue will never be 'solved' via politics ... and ... because the politicians do not have the moral fiber that is required to challenge the Deep State system that is in place which advances their evil, population control agenda. Keep in mind too that the abortion industry results in annual revenues of multi-billions of dollars.

Why else does Planned Parenthood continue to receive enormous Federal support from both the GOP & Democrats if their masters in the Deep State does not actively support their abortion policies? If you read the founding documents for PP, you'll understand what group's babies it is that they want to 'abort.' It's all in their own words. They are the most racist organization in America, and they get a free pass from the liberal media, etc.

The law aims to 'affirm the right to menstrual dignity for transgender, intersex, nonbinary, and two-spirit students.'

RayB,

It appears they aren’t just mandating schools put them in just boys bathrooms like that was the main purpose of the law. They are providing them in all bathrooms, male and female.

Feminine hygiene products aren’t a big deal. Demystifying them by placing them everywhere isn’t a horrible idea. I see the boys bathroom ones being more appropriately used by boys helping out their sisters and female friends. Not to mention the many people that can’t afford these products. If one boy appearing intersex student is saved the embarrassment of being exposed that’s a bonus too. Kids can be ruthless.

I’m not saying at first glance it’s not odd but once you read more about the actual program and it’s intent it’s not so bad. The two spirited thing IS weird, I guess that’s kids that want to claim to be both sexes at the same time??? Mostly I think it’s crazy to make them FREE. Even vending them at a dime or quarter each might prevent the free access to the whole state and expense of such.

More facts will emerge with time. Prosecutors have been working their way up, getting smaller fish to flip on bigger fish in return for leniency, trying to slowly get to the top of the food chain in that way.

The way this particular release was worded this particular time, it does not read as if Trump was giving orders from the basis of a consistent plan from the top down. It reads as if a shadowy figure was whispering in Trump's ear.

Clement and Origen, two Alexandrian church fathers, were strongly influenced by neoplatonism, which Blavatsky says is the same as Theosophy. This is what the Theosophy Wiki says, quoting Helena Petrovna Blavatsky.

https://theosophy.wiki/en/Neoplatonism

Neoplatonism

Under Construction

Neoplatonists would have called themselves students of Plato. Helena Petrovna Blavatsky would have called Neoplatonists Theosophists. From The Keys to Theosophy she states: “The name Theosophy dates from the third century of our era, and began with Ammonius Saccas and his disciples who started the Eclectic Theosophical system.” “They (Neoplatonists) were the Theosophists of early centuries."[1] Ammonius Saccas was the first to use the term "theosophy," which means "divine wisdom," combining "god" or "divine" (theos) and wisdom (sophia).

Neoplatonists did not use the label "neoplatonists." They felt themselves to be interpreting Plato, not altering his teachings. However during the 19th Century, historians and philosophers decided that the beliefs of this group differed sufficiently from Plato’s original ideas to require the prefix “neo,” meaning “new”, to the root word. This school of thought began in the third century AD in Alexandria by followers of Ammonius Saccas. Ammonius was born to devout Christian parents and he was officially educated at Christian schools but he rejected the exclusive narrowness of his parents Christianity, claiming that he was “god-taught.” He took a far more expanded view of religious philosophy than any one religion could offer.
Ammonius Saccas

Saccas believed that knowledge consisted of three grades, ascending from mere opinion derived from sense perception, to science gained through dialectic, to illumination gained from direct spiritual intuition. This essentially is the same as Plato’s three grades of knowledge outlined in the Republic. HP Blavatsky suggests that Ammonius’ endorsement of solitary prayer or meditation to achieve enlightenment is found in Plato’s belief that direct realization of the Form of the Good occurred when one remained “silent in the presence of the divine ones.”

Neoplatonists addressed subjects that Plato did not explore and tried to do so as Plato would have. Such subjects as evil, memory and the new rage in the third century - Christianity. The goal was to separate Plato, the man, from Platonism, his philosophy.

Ammonius Saccas left no written works, so his student, Plotinus, who compiled Saccas’s teachings in the Enneads, is actually credited with the founding this philosophy but through Plotinus and other famous students of Saccas, such as Clement, Origen, Porphyry, Longinus, Iamblichus and, of course HPB, we have learned about the school of Neoplatonism and its founder’s intent.

Will Abortion Riots Be More Destructive Than the George Floyd Summer of Love?

"The short answer is yes, the riots that are coming, including those happening right now, will be more widespread and destructive than the riots of 2020’s “summer of love.” The biggest reason is obvious as the likely overturning of Roe v Wade has added regular leftists (who we used to call the far left before the radicalism became normalized within the Democrat Party) to the mix of Antifa and Black Lives Matter domestic terrorists."

What is New Age about it x, is your doing exactly what J said, normalizing the whacked and weird to mainstream it. The socialist ploy to give the kiddos their "candies", the wide variety of illicit and debauched "isms" where they can "find themselves" and "express their identity" that is to lure them into the global death grip. The social engineering projects of the globalists across the board, are all your pets--you dearly love to loudmouth your advocacy for the truly awful, godless, unbiblical, goals of them.

You don't stand with, and for, the Gospel, like Ray Comfort does, to call it all what it is, and then carefully, lovingly, prove there is a remedy for it all, for any and each, in Christ, no, you hope to mainstream the multiple rebellions, so you can be "inclusive", pretending to be kind and anything but--but the Gospel calls people out from among them--and souls given that invite have opportunity to respond to the love of God. But not with your approach, yours is to hide the truth, don't make people hear and feel the weight of God's law they've broken too like all have done--don't let them see the deadly flaws and faults in their perversions and wayward rebellions, no, not that! So you do not stand with the Lord to call sin sin. You want the government, with it's obsessive heavy hand to affirm these people in what is killing them. Then you turn on normal human relationships and responsibilities, taking them to task, with your relentless scorn.

You are a total hack and apostate in your "feel good religion", with a New Age approach and goal, taking that to the lost you claim to so much care about.. But what you really do is help condemn them to their wretched choices--with no out, in this instance of bathrooms (why is the government in bathrooms???) because you don't want to love people to the truth, taking that risk. You armchair it with your sloppy agape and yet dare to dismiss and demean people who are actually in the trenches actually helping reach out to the wretchedness out there like Rosario Butterfield does (yes you absolutely did diss her), and like Ray Comfort does.

You are an utter failure as a Christian and a loveless Pharisee---in your comfort zone---on the sidelines, while you keyboard the hell out of this blog with your self-righteous drivel. Shut up and get out of God's way to work the Gospel in this world--unless you are as I think you are...totally sold out New Age NWO elitist agenda---gladly hauling water for them.

Another "works" test is I must oppose government-provided tampons in public restrooms in order to be a Christian?

Question: If the government is not supposed to be in public restrooms, who would clean them? Where would the toilet paper come from? Would people have to relieve themselves outside?

The lines of outrage and fear are just all over the place these days.

I've said this before...I'm happy Roe is being overturned BUT the case itself rests upon a long line of "privacy" cases the opus dei strict contructionalist roman catholic supreme court appears poised to revisit now.

What could a NWO government more easily do if only there wasn't any right to privacy?

1. HIPPA laws are based on the right to privacy;
2. Home schooling and private schools could be abolished or more regulated if there is no right to privacy;
3. "They" could start interring and banning more and more forms of birth control;
4. Social credit systems become more viable if your personal information isn't protected as a private matter under the 14th Amendment due process clause;
5. You vaccination status isn't a private matter either;
6. Some states will surely enact laws trying to prevent pregnant women from travelling to abortion friendly states and, perhaps, set up border partol agencies like DeSantis's brown shirt election police to patrol for pregnant women travelling and where they and their companion were headed wouldn't be a protected private matter even if you are just going a normal trip.

It's so ironic the right to privacy was founded by the ONE roman catholic supreme court justice appointed by Eisenhower in the 60's and now the fully roman catholic court reverses it. 50 years of roman catholic republican butchery comes to an end.

FDA Approves Killer COVID Drug for Babies

"While we have focused more on the COVID-19 vaccines that have created more deaths and injuries than all other FDA-approved vaccines for the previous 30 years, the other killer COVID drug currently being administered to the public is Remdesivir, with the brandname of “VEKLURY.”

"This drug, which was originally developed for ebola but never approved because it was so dangerous, has a history of scandals and many thousands of deaths since it was given an EUA (emergency use authorization) by the FDA, and then in October of 2020 it was fully approved by the FDA as a treatment for adults with COVID-19."

I am currently reading two books on how the world stumbled into the disaster of World War II, whereby over 60 million people lost their lives, and the world was forever changed. One book is "The Wartime Diaries of Count Galeazzo Ciano 1939-1943." Ciano was the son in law of the Dictator Benito Mussolini. Ciano rose to the 2nd. most powerful position inside Italy's Fascist Dictatorship and had direct contact with all the major players, including Hitler, Stalin, Chamberlain and Churchill. His personal insight and experience is literally second to none, and reveals first hand, the mistakes that were made that led to the outbreak of the war. (Ciano openly opposed Mussolini in late 1942 and was subsequently arrested and executed by the Fascists).

The other book I am finishing up on is A. J. P. Taylor's "The Origins of The Second World War." Written in 1961, it is a book that is highly documented and offers in depth analysis regarding the incredible blunders made by ALL sides, which eventually led to the outbreak of WW II ... a war that could have very EASILY been avoided.

Why am I telling you all this? The reason is that the parallels to that time and ours are strikingly similar. IMO, just as then, incrementally, we are unmistakably heading into another World War. Sanctions, embargoes, lack of serious diplomacy, forcing a powerful nation into a corner with no viable means of retreat being offered, incredibly inept leaders, enforced isolation of a very powerful nation, a dramatic increase in hysterical and false reporting in the media, idiotic threatening statements (Biden/Harris) made by national leaders, taking sides by supplying a waring nation with military hardware along with vast sums of money, the break down in international trade resulting in very serious shortages, weakened currencies, weakened economies, CURRENCY wars, ongoing escalation of rhetoric and policies, etc., etc. All of this, and more, happened leading up to WW II, and it is happening all over AGAIN. The similarities are striking.

Einstein was once asked what WW III would look like. He answered: "I can't tell you that, but I can tell you this; WW IV will be fought with sticks and stones."

These are VERY dangerous times, and our country appears to be very ripe for judgment. Pray and prepare. IMO, we're entering a time that will 'try all men's souls.'

J,

This is where I get to call cRayQ a liar. By this point he KNOWS not one of those supposed 4,113 fetal deaths listed in the VAERS system has been medically and scientifically established as due to the covid vaccine. That's not what the VAERS system indicates nor it's purpose.

He is intentionally implying the Covid Vaccine killed 4,113 fetuses. There is no proof for that. Miscarriages happen all the time. It is a lie and irresponsible and MURDEROUS...

Several mothers, who were ill-advised by MAGA Qanon murderers like cRayQ will never meet their babies and/or see them grow up having died from Covid during or shortly after giving birth.

Mom of four dies of COVID after emergency C-section, Wisconsin family says December, 2021

https://www.star-telegram.com/news/coronavirus/article256374237.html

Excerpt: "Soon after a 38-year-old Wisconsin mom underwent an emergency C-section, she died of COVID-19, her family says. “It was gut-wrenching,” her ex-husband, David Henderson, told WDJT. Adrienne Chandler had three children with Henderson prior to giving birth to her fourth baby with boyfriend Ryan Emperley.

Chandler and Emperley’s newborn baby, Roman, is doing well, according to WISN, and Emperley hopes Roman will grow up to be like his mother. “She has a beautiful soul and my heart will always belong to her,” Emperley told WDJT. “She had a smile that would light a room and bring the absolute joy to everyone’s life.”

Emperley told WISN that Chandler required intubation following her coronavirus infection, and doctors did an emergency C-section to save their baby. She died three days later, the station reported. Henderson said his ex-wife experienced kidney failure as she fought COVID-19.

Chandler was not vaccinated and her death was confirmed to be connected to COVID-19, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office told WDJT.

People who are pregnant face increased risks for severe COVID-19 illnesses, preterm births and other pregnancy-related complications, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. “If you are pregnant or were recently pregnant, you are more likely to get severely ill from COVID-19 compared to people who are not pregnant,” the CDC says. “Pregnancy causes changes in the body that could make it easier to get very sick from respiratory viruses like the one that causes COVID-19. These changes in the body can continue after pregnancy.”

‘Mommy is an angel now.’ 27-year-old with 6 children dies of COVID, Texas family says

January 21, 2022

https://www.star-telegram.com/news/nation-world/national/article257583038.html#storylink=readmore_inline

Excerpt:

"Leaving behind six children, a Texas mother recently died of COVID-19 after an emergency cesarean section at 25 weeks pregnant. Her newborn baby, Koda, is in the newborn intensive care unit, KTRK reported, but he’ll grow up without his mom.

Crystal Hernandez, 27, died of COVID-19 complications less than two weeks after her youngest child was born, the station reported, but her husband, Rico, says she had a sweet moment following his birth.

“They said that she did fine during the emergency C-section,” he told KRTK. “And that she was aware afterward and that they were able to tell her she had a healthy baby boy.”

Crystal never got to hold her baby boy, though.

“She never woke up after that,” Rico told KRIV. “Those were probably her last moments from what I know.”

The mom died Jan. 15, according to her niece.

“It hurts me having to make this post she was such an amazing mom to her babies and had that laugh that would make you smile. She definitely will never be forgotten,” niece Alexis Alba shared to Facebook. “My heart breaks knowing my uncle will have to go on by himself with 6 kids.”

Rico and Crystal were not vaccinated against the coronavirus, KTRK reported.

Crystal’s death came 14 days after she and Rico became sick with COVID-19, according to a GoFundMe on behalf of the family.

“As days went by Crystal started to get worse and at night would feel like she was dying because she couldn’t breathe. Crystal went to the hospital on Tuesday January 4th and was immediately admitted because her oxygen levels were low,” the GoFundMe says, adding that she delivered baby Koda on Jan. 6. While Rico says the older children understand their mom has passed, he told KRIV that his 3-year-old son still asks when she will come home from the doctor. “I try to explain to him mommy is an angel now,” the dad told KRIV, “she’s watching over you.”

‘I don’t want any more stories like this’: Mother sends message to pregnant women after daughter dies from COVID-19 complications

https://www.wect.com/2022/02/08/i-dont-want-any-more-stories-like-this-mother-sending-message-pregnant-women-after-daughter-dies-covid-19-complications/

Excerpt: BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) - Friends and family are grieving the loss of a 31-year-old mother and one of her newborn twins. Stephanie Baker had a 4-year-old son, Julian, and was pregnant with twins, and if you knew her, she made sure to tell you about the twins she would soon be delivering. “It was just day by day, it all went by so fast,” Stephanie’s mom Debbie said.

Doctors were concerned about her lack of oxygen, so Stephanie delivered the twins, Sage and Sylas, on January 27th after ongoing complications. Stephanie continued to fight after delivering the babies, and her parents held out hope that she would get stronger in the coming days as doctors could focus on her and the babies separately.

“We just held on to every little hope because you never give up hope, that’s something that it’s just in you, you just never give up hope,” Stephanie’s mom said.

Unfortunately, Sylas passed away the next day. “They had to resuscitate him. They did everything they could, and she got to hold him for a short time before she passed away, but there was just a little brain activity because he had been without oxygen for so long,” Debbie said.

Two days later, on January 30th, Stephanie’s body was too weak to carry on. Now, her parents are devastated by how quickly life can change.

“When she called me, we were at home and she said they wanted to intubate her and she was afraid she would never wake up. I told her ‘no, it’s OK, you’re OK baby girl, you’re gonna be OK,’ because I just knew, I thought she was going to be OK and that was the hardest part,” Debbie said.

Stephanie’s parents said that she lived a healthy life, and was scared to get the COVID-19 vaccine. “She was afraid the vaccine might harm her or affect the babies, so I will never fault her for it because she cared about herself and the babies and wanted to take care of herself,” Debbie said. Now Debbie wants others to know the importance of getting vaccinated.

“This is what COVID does. If it finds any weakness in your body, which she was trying to create two little lives, it was just too much for her, her system was already run down and with COVID if it knows you’re weak it’s going to take over. So, I urge all pregnant women to get vaccinated, please get vaccinated because it possibly could save your life, maybe you wouldn’t be as sick and you would recover, hopefully, because it is devastating,” Debbie said.

Pregnant woman hospitalized with COVID dies after giving birth

https://www.wifr.com/2021/09/14/pregnant-woman-hospitalized-with-covid-dies-after-giving-birth/

Excerpt: HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow/Gray News) - Doctors have confirmed a pregnant woman in Hawaii who was severely ill and hospitalized with COVID recently died after giving birth, in a tragic first for the state. In the wake of her death, health officials are urging pregnant women to get vaccinated.

“We have been notified of a maternal death ― so a mother who died postpartum after giving birth,” said Dr. Stacy Tsai, chair of Hawaii State Maternal Mortality Review Committee. “The baby was delivered and is doing fine. The mother, unfortunately, had very severe disease from COVID.”

Due to medical privacy, Tsai says she can’t publicly share many details about the case or the mother’s vaccination status. But she did say the loss impacts everyone.

“It is very devastating. It’s an infant or newborn who will never really know its mother and will never experience the love of a mother,” said Tsai. “Me and my team, we grieve every day when we have a bad outcome.”

The CDC said pregnant women are more likely to get severely ill from COVID-19. “We are seeing women getting COVID during pregnancy and becoming so sick that we are having to deliver pre-term or premature in order to help them breathe, unfortunately, better,” said Tsai.

Native Hawaiian physicians had a discussion on Facebook about pregnancy and vaccine safety, and the recent death was part of the discussion.

“All of the women who have been hospitalized during pregnancy have been unvaccinated,” said Dr. Reni Soon, OB/GYN at University Health Partners and an associate professor at the John A. Burns School of Medicine in Honolulu.

Leading medical organizations agree the vaccine is safe for pregnant women.

“Get vaccinated if you are pregnant,” Tsai said. “Get vaccinated if you are around people who are pregnant.”

The American RCC has paid out over 4 BILLION dollars in retribution, out of court settlements, hush money, etc. ... all related to its pedophilia scandals ... in just America. How much more has been paid out worldwide?

To this day, Vigano remains outspoken, and, is in hiding out of fear for his life! While Vigano remains in hiding, the lap dog Donohue collects over $1 MILLION per year in salary.

I knew/know the likely and potential cost of giving up my right to privacy.

I’m afraid only for the reactions of Maga qanon “conservatives” who won’t even take a jab to save their own lives, their families lives and the lives of vulnerable people in their community when there government asks them too. The second amendment types don’t give up rights they’ve long gotten used to very easily.

There is no right to homeschooling or birth control written explicitly in the constitution.

They are going to make any rulings they can to destroy public schools so you’ll pay (privately or through school of choice tax dollars) for Catholic schooling.

This could be the beginnings of a truly “activist” Supreme Court.

This is a balanced look at whether other rights are in danger of being repealed if Roe vs. Wade is reversed. In my opinion, Snead is the voice of common sense here.

'But Snead said the idea that Roe’s potential demise would lead to other rights being overturned is more of “a rhetorical strategy than a doctrinal analysis.” That’s partly because, he said, states would have to pass a law to ban contraception or same-sex marriage – likely a tall order politically even in many of the nation’s reddest states.'

Yeah another mouth full of marbles answer....

You are either really obtuse or just trying to appear so, so you can abdicate any responsibility for how you voted and place your expectations for the way too heavy handed rulings to handle the people you hate. How godless that your side of the aisle (with RINO help) hates babies..and beagles too.
Given your track record as you troll here, I think you don't want the right thing to happen in overturning abortion as federal law so it can be addressed by the States. Your side is the side that hates personal privacy, to speak, educate children, in health issues, how people use the restroom,...and on down the line, the things free people know how to do, and know how to secure those things for all others.
You want to federalize everything. Today, because it's out of bounds and out of control governance you demand to foster, fuel, and fund (too big too fail) Federalize = Globalize. Your government gods are getting it done and you applaud them.
So much for your supposed Bible worldview.....

Even Ray acknowledges that the supreme court is deep state NWO controlled and didn't do this for any other reason than to further their own agendas for power and one world religion.

Personally, I want a world where such laws either way wouldn't be necessary because no one in their right mind would ever CHOOSE to abort their child.

Only God can achieve that.

x

p.s. - J, I think interracial marriage is safe. As your authors might have pointed out, the draft opinion goes to some trouble to indicate the right to privacy still kind of exists for long-standing rights and interracial marriage is older than Roe. Besides the fact that by this time most of us have interracial persons within our extended families and all the "private" genetic testing is coming back showing completely white persons with small percentages of African dna, being an overt racist isn't good optics anymore. There are too many more passive-aggressive dog-whistle tribalist ways of going about it now. I just don't foresee even the redest state seriously considering ever banning interracial marriage (which is necessary to ever have a case go to the supreme court). But some blue state somewhere might ban homeschooling as inadequate education (it's all about the kids, right?) and the roman catholic court might agree forcing such homeschool kids to possibly look at private school alternatives like roman catholic grooming schools.

time will tell

The "right to privacy" upon which abortion was legalized for the last 50 years was largely championed by William Brennan, the only roman catholic justice on the supreme court in the late 60's and 70's.

William Brennan and the Creation of a Right to Abortion

https://www.thepublicdiscourse.com/2010/12/1993/

In the 50 years since, Roman Catholics have gone from having crosses burned in their yards, to ecumenical partners in the psuedo-war against roe v wade to being in charge with 7 of 9 Supreme Court justices being roman catholic baptized and a roman catholic President who may likely run again against an opus dei alt right roman catholic like Cruz, Hawley, Rubio or Desantis for the next presidential election.

Was this organized and designed from the start? The roman catholic church is much more keenly aware of history than the everyday Protestant and is much more able and willing to play (and win) the long game. They were witnesses to what "liberty" did to the Roman empire and the Greeks as well as the French. Give them "liberty" and they'll eat themselves from the inside out. Maybe.

In the meantime,

On May 4th --- the US surpassed the One Million death due to covid 19.

Absent vaccines it has been estimated could we would have been somewhere between 1,500,000 to 2,000,000 deaths at this point

If everyone that was able to had timely received the vaccine..we might have been at "only" 500,000 to 750,000 covid deaths at this point.

If the US covid response had reacted as fast and effectively as Australia there probably would have been less than 100,000 covid deaths at this point. Australia has endured just 7,543 covid deaths (7,543 deaths on 6.17 million infections = case death rate of 0.12%). The US population is about 12.5 times bigger than Australia so that translates to just 93,000 covid deaths. This excess 900,000 deaths (and 1,000,000 deaths on 81.6 million cases = 1.22% death rate - 10 times the Australian death rate) can be firmly attributed to the failures of the Trump administration to handle this pandemic properly at the outset as well as Maga disinformation and so many unnecessary unvaccinated deaths.

The pope isn't excused or justified -- he controls them and though they openly criticize him, they haven't disavowed him or walked away from her as so many Protestants have these last 500 plus years.

It's just a good cop - bad cop act. If the pope and his minions ONLY supported democrats, the alt-right would still be at war and resistant to them. They're just playing and recruiting both sides stoking fear and division between the two sides.

The pope today or tomorrow is a likely anti-christ candidate, jesuit or otherwise.

Provoking Nuclear War with Russia – Dr. Paul Craig Roberts

Dr. Paul Craig Roberts (PCR), former Assistant Treasury Secretary and international award-winning journalist, is warning that NATO and the U.S. is deliberately provoking nuclear war with Russia in Ukraine. PCR explains, “In the middle of a serious situation that can already go out of control, we are adding new provocations. It is clear Washington intends to push these provocations to the hilt. In a normal sane world, everyone would understand that it is recklessly irresponsible to put Finland and Sweden in NATO, particularly at the present time. . . . The Russians have a high tolerance for provocations and, therefore, the provocations that the West commits never have any costs, and they increase in number and severity. At some point, these provocations are just too much to stand, and that’s where you cross the line and the situation becomes nuclear. . . . How much can you provoke them and they let loose and it hits the fan? I see everything Washington doing is designed to further provoke Russia.”

Would you bet your LIFE on that number being accurate?

With all the stories and reports of non-covid related deaths blamed on covid, hospitals putting down cause of death as covid when it is some other malady, some of the victims being too fat or already sick, how can we know it is 1 million???

Surely it is much lower, perhaps less than 500,000 TRUE covid deaths in America.

Out of a population of THREE HUNDRED MILLION, my friend.

I know J. How right your are.
His bias is very heavy against Conservative anybody but he hates Catholic Conservatives probably the most.

And you ask why since it's Conservatives who are the ones most likely to uphold Bible values as opposed to what he gets behind and pushes and pulls for---liberal progressive socialism leading directly to and on the grandest scale--NWO globalism. The antithesis of the freedoms found in people who trust in God's grace intended for the world.
I know the admixture of deceptions, of many kinds, is throughout Christendom now--in the large sense, and no denomination is without compromises now but that is not fair to declare of absolutely everyone, individuals who disagree with him. What I know is it's almost time for Jesus to come and straighten out the entire mess of it all, and He will. He will. But meantime the baby (the truth) is thrown out with the bathwater by "compassionate" elitist governing types such as himself. You keep an even hand in your posts as you answer him back with clarity.
Oh quit it with that clanging song and dance, Mr. Self-Righteous Know-it all of the blog. He's beyond ridiculous because fairness and truthfulness suffer a lot in his posts .

"One Million death due to covid 19."

Nope.
Maybe WITH covid, but not due to covid. Actually dying of covid itself is a miniscule number.
Especially to note is that viable treatments were withheld from people who would likely would have completely recovered from the virus. Big Money and over the top control (in and out of government) made it the big boogeyman virus.

A virus with a big name and HUGE agenda attached to it to control people who don't seem to mind living in fear and being told how to think, say, and do, according to Uncle Sugar.

Uncle Sugar and Santa Klaus are our best buddies right ??????

Hm.

1 Million out of 350+ Million in this country.
And it takes 1000 Millions to add up to 1 Billion, with (almost) 8 Billion people on the planet.

With the proper scale, covid's not the worst deadly thing in the world.

The 1 million death count is actually more likely to be an undercount.

As Covid raged through unvaccinated populations in red states, many families were resistant to having covid listed on death certificates and coronors (not medical examiners) were happy to oblige grieving families.

This Missouri coroner removed COVID-19 from death certificates to honor grieving families

https://www.deseret.com/coronavirus/2021/8/5/22609253/missouri-coroner-covid-death-certificate

Uncounted: Inaccurate death certificates across the country hide the true toll of COVID-19: In some counties, half of the spike in deaths during the pandemic is attributed to COVID-19. Researchers say that points to a massive undercount.

Uncovering COVID-19’s Hidden Deaths in the United States
As the nation’s pandemic death toll approaches one million, a BU public health researcher joins with reporters to investigate why some counties are underreporting deaths

https://www.bu.edu/articles/2022/underreporting-covid-19-deaths/

This last article estimates a 20% undercount...stating:

"The fact that so many of these uncounted deaths are occurring at home, and not in a hospital setting where testing is most prevalent, is a factor that warrants further investigation, says Stokes. “In these cases, the cause of death is frequently assigned to other conditions, such as heart disease or diabetes,” he says. “Many people are afraid of going to the hospital and potentially getting COVID, or losing contact with their loved ones, so they’re getting sick and staying at home, and then dying without their death ever being reported as a COVID death.”

COVID-19 death undercounting also has political implications, says Stokes. Since most death investigations occur at the county level, he says, the official cause of death is often determined by elected coroners who may be motivated by political bias to downplay the pandemic (and who typically receive less formal training than medical examiners). “When we find evidence of underreporting in a community, there is a direct link to a county coroner or examiner who is responsible for certifying those deaths,” Stokes says. “Our focus on counties means that the estimates have direct implications for county death investigation systems.”

And Dr. Campbell in the UK would beg to differ about the real count for covid deaths..
He's been very thorough to find the stats that draw the right conclusion in that number.

Found definite overcounts here in our little corner of the world.
Our hospital got some mighty big bucks in the whole episode.

This preprint just dropped Wednesday May 4, 2022. A detailed analysis of death certificates at the county level revealled a substantial undercount of covid 19 deaths of over 170,000 from March 2020 through December 2022.

ABSTRACT

Official Covid-19 death tallies have underestimated the mortality impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in the United States. Excess mortality, which compares observed deaths to deaths expected in the absence of the pandemic, is a useful measure for assessing the total effect of the pandemic on mortality levels. In the present study, we produce county-level estimates of excess mortality for 3,127 counties between March 2020 and December 2021. We fit two hierarchical linear models to county-level death rates from January 2015 to December 2019 and predict expected deaths for each month during the pandemic. We compare these estimates with the observed numbers of deaths to obtain excess deaths for each county-month. An estimated 936,911 excess deaths occurred during 2020 and 2021, of which 171,168 were not assigned to Covid-19 on death certificates. Urban counties in the Far West, Great Lakes, Mideast, and New England experienced a substantial urban mortality disadvantage in 2020, whereas rural counties in these regions had higher mortality in 2021. In the Southeast, Southwest, Rocky Mountain, and Plains regions, there was a rural mortality disadvantage in 2020, which was exacerbated in 2021. The proportion of excess deaths assigned to Covid-19 was lower in 2020 (76.3%) than in 2021 (87.0%), suggesting fewer Covid-19 deaths went unassigned later in the pandemic. However, in rural areas and in the Southeast and Southwest a large share of excess deaths were still not assigned to Covid-19 during 2021.

Someone before mentioned people dying WITH covid versus “of” covid.

If that were the case, there wouldn’t have been over 900,000 EXCESS deaths in the US in 2020-2021.

Sure some who were statistically on course to die in 2020 and 2021 died of other cause AND covid but if that was it, we would just have new variation on cause of death on the same approximate number of people.

Dead bodies don’t lie. Do you really think Desantis would let the doctors and hospitals fudge the numbers in Florida and make him appear so draconian were it not true?

Louisiana is voting on an abortion bill that would include criminalizing IUD’s and other birth control devices. Potentially outlawing common IVF procedures as well.

Any natural miscarriage could potentially result in a prosecution.

Louisiana is over 30% Roman Catholic so it figures the war on women, families and birth control would start there.

Craig,

Desantis has/had control over the Florida department of Health and control over the death certificates themselves. He ordered reviews with exaggerated conclusions and leaked misinformation trying to cover his butt as the biggest covid killing Governor in the country per capita (in the sunshine state rich with Vitamin D, no less) in 2021.

Liars figure and he did all he could to bring the actual death toll under suspicion.

P.S. - Desantis also had executive power to criminally investigate any doctor or hospital he thought were falsifying death certificates. I think in 2020 he even threatened such. Desantis is pretending to be a strongman authoritarian type like some perceive bunker Trump. If he had any cause to pursue hospitals or doctors he would have. The numbers make him look like Dr Menghala(sp?)

X,

As most always, your over-the-top rhetoric erases any credibility you might have.

Your Leftist sources prove nothing. DeSantis--as any governor--can order investigations into suspected wrongdoings, but this doesn't mean he can actually substantiate anything in this regard. It's not as though each and every supposed CV19 death had a corresponding autopsy to definitively determine actual cause.

The truth is we really won't ever know how many died OF CV19 vs. how many were counted in that total were actually WITH CV19. But we DO know hospitals were federally financially incentivized to code deaths as OF CV19. And we cannot know how many patients died essentially by malpractice because of such incentives.

Totally unrelated, except the title of the piece, here's some avant garde/free jazz to stimulate the senses. Taking a break after an exhausting week, I scanned some music on YouTube and found the below clip yet again (I found it a few years ago). I saw a slimmed down version of this sextet (quartet of bass, drums, trumpet and alto sax), and it was hands down the best show I've ever seen. I was mesmerized by the drummer, Hamid Drake, as he seemed to effortless lay down polyrhythms.

For those who've never listened to anything like this, just keep the basic vamp (4 ascending notes, 4 descending notes) in mind during the various solos, especially as a player may seem to really go 'out there':

Craig,

Over the top rhetoric? Like the allegation hospitals and doctors killed or let patients die because they wanted the money?

Have u personally spoken with health care workers that had to work in those environments?

I have. My neighbor had to quit early 2021 but she couldn’t take it emotionally anymore.

Excess deaths alone give us a pretty good idea on the numbers that died OF covid (who otherwise wouldn’t have). As of Dec 31, 2021 900,000 more Americans had died since March 2020 than otherwise predictably would have. Most were at home around a few loved ones while isolated and struggling to fight thru a bad cold that had them struggling to breath. They then went 2 hospitals alone afraid for their lives and were treated by overwhelmed staffs at hospitals across this country. There was no miracle cure other than just not catching it or being vaccinated.

My cousin was near death before he went to the hospital the second time.

Others suffocated in their homes too far from or too stubborn to seek hospitalization.

Were they all in on it?

You are an intelligent man. You made a calculated guess relying on misinformation and propaganda. You were mistaken. The numbers or dead bodies tell the story.

I’m not saying the pandemic is still ongoing. It’s endemic now and appears to be less deadly. That’s the tragic part. My unvaccinated cousin died just a few months short of making it. Had he caught omicron in December versus delta in august he’d probably still be alive. If he or any (or a few) of the persons up the line that gave covid to him had been vaccinated he’d likely be alive. The vaccines bought a lot of people the one year to get to this much less deadly point even if they don’t “work” completely hereafter preventing mostly moderate infections in perpetuity.

My wife and I remain uninfected.

‘Alcohol fumes preceded him’: Delaware computer store owner recalls moment drunk Hunter Biden staggered into shop with broken laptops and says president's son was shocked he didn't know who he was

The Mac Shop owner, John Paul Mac Isaac, recalls the moment Hunter Biden visited his store just before closing in April 2019

Biden drunkenly stumbled in asking for a data recovery

'My password is f**ked up. Don't be offended!' Biden allegedly told Isaac before announcing his account was protected with the phrase: 'analf**k69'

Isaac says that during the data recovery process he found photos of Biden sporting a jock strap and sexual images with various women on the devices

He also found a 'shady' document detailing Biden's salary from 2013 to 2015

If that were the case, can you answer these questions...

1. Why countries like Australia and Canada that were more locked-down didn't experience more excess deaths, let alone why US states with less lockdown stress like Florida, Alabama and Texas did the most poorly in 2021?

2. Why did weekly excess deaths correlate with waves of new cases of Covid-19?

3. Why did the stress and non-treatment/delayed treatment not seem to result in as much (or any) excess death in countries like Spain, Portugal, Finland, Australia, etc where there was a much more succesfull uptake of covid vaccination?

Mind you, I'm speaking about marital relations and what married women (and their husband) choose to utilize for contraception.

IUDs are Contraceptives, Not Abortifacients: A Comment on
Research and Belief

Here's another article on the subject from the National Catholic Reporter

What an abortifacient is -- and what it isn't

https://www.ncronline.org/blogs/grace-margins/what-abortifacient-and-what-it-isnt

Excerpt: "....Now, back to contraception. When church officials argue that the IUD could be an abortifacient, they are relying on research from the 1970s that indicated that the IUD could affect an embryo's ability to implant. Decades of research since has demonstrated that the IUD actually works much earlier in the reproductive process than once thought. It does not destroy an implanted embryo. Approximately one in 100 women using the IUD get pregnant.

Rather, the IUD, which is a T-shaped device inserted into the uterus by a medical professional, works by affecting the way in which sperm move. Some IUDs release a synthetic version of the hormone progesterone called progestin, which thickens cervical mucus making more difficult for sperm to enter the uterus. Few sperm are able to reach the fallopian tubes, and those that do reach the site of fertilization are usually incapable of fertilizing an egg.

The drug Plan B is also artificial progestin and therefore impedes the sperm from entering the uterus in the same way as the IUD. But the drug can also stop the ovaries from releasing an egg. If an egg has already been released, Plan B can slow down the movement of the egg. By slowing down both the egg and the sperm, it prevents fertilization...."
