Most of you have probably heard about Biden’s infamous “record player” comment by now, but for those of you who missed it, Biden was asked by debate moderator Linsey Davis to defend some comments he made about America’s problems with racism in the 1970s, and he responded by essentially saying that Black people don’t know how to raise their kids so they need to be taught how by social workers. Biden has been receiving mainstream criticism for his racist and paternalistic position, along with plenty of mockery for saying that parents need to be told to “make sure you have the record player on at night” so that kids hear enough words in early childhood.
It is pretty clear that Biden was trying to communicate an idea that is premised on a deeply racist and condescending worldview, so it’s to be expected that people would want to talk about that. It’s also to be expected that people would be making jokes about how the cute old man said “record player” like a grandpa. But what isn’t being discussed nearly enough is the fact that what Biden said was also a barely coherent, garbled word salad stumbling out of a brain that is clearly being eaten alive by a very serious neurological disease.
I’ve typed out a transcript of what Biden actually said, verbatim. There are no typos. I’ve also noted where Biden closes his eyes, probably to concentrate, which he does whenever he seems to be struggling especially hard to string words together. Try to read through it slowly, word-for-word, resisting the instinct to mentally re-frame it into something more coherent:
“Well they have to deal with the– Look, there is institutional segregation in this country. And from the time I got involved I started dealing with that. Redlining. Banks. Making sure that we’re in a position where– Look, talk about education. I propose that what we take is those very poor schools, the Title 1 schools, triple the amount of money we spend from 15 to 45 billion a year. Give every single teacher a raise that equal [closes eyes] raise to getting out– the sixty-thousand dollar level.
“Number two: make sure that we bring into the help the–[closes eyes] the student, the, the teachers deal with the problems that come from home. The problems that come from home. We need–We have one school psychologist for every fifteen hundred kids in America today. It’s crazy. The teachers are reca–Now, I’m married to a teacher. My deceased wife is a teacher. They have every problem coming to them. [Closes eyes briefly] We have make sure that every single child does in fact have three, four, and five year-olds go to school–school, not daycare. School. We bring social workers into homes of parents to help them deal with how to raise their children. It’s not that they don’t wanna help, they don’t want–they don’t know quite what to do. Play the radio, make sure the television, [closes eyes tightly] the– ‘scuse me, make sure you have the record player on at night, the-the-the-the phone, make sure the kids hear words. A kid coming from a very poor school, [closes eyes] a very poor background, will hear four million words fewer spoken by the time they get there.”

As journalist Michael Tracey has been pointing out, what we’re consistently seeing over and over again from the former vice president now are not “gaffes”, but clear signs of cognitive decline.

CNBC senior analyst Ron Insana, who was there on ground zero during the terror attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, recently claimed that Building 7 of the World Trade Center complex was brought down via a controlled demolition.
Insana made this stunning claim during an appearance on Bernie and Sid In the Morning, a program that airs regularly on New York’s 77 WABC Radio, on the 18th anniversary of the attacks.
“Well, remember 7 World Trade had not yet come down. And so when I went down to the [New York Stock] Exchange that Wednesday morning [September 12], I was standing with some military and police officers, and we were looking over in that direction. And if it had come down in the way in which it was tilting, it would have wiped out everything from where it stood to Trinity Church to the Exchange to, effectively, you know, the mouth of the Hudson,” Insana recounted about his experiences on the ground that fateful day.
“And so there were still fears that if that building had fallen sideways, you were going to wipe out a good part of Lower Manhattan. So they did manage for one to take that down in a controlled implosion later on. And the Exchange was up and running the following Monday,” Insana said during his appearance on the radio show.
Insana’s remarks fly in the face of the official government story about WTC 7, which federal investigators concluded was brought down due to office fires.
“Our study found that the fires in WTC 7, which were uncontrolled but otherwise similar to fires experienced in other tall buildings, caused an extraordinary event,” the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s WTC Lead Investigator Shyam Sunder claimed.
“Heating of floor beams and girders caused a critical support column to fail, initiating a fire-induced progressive collapse that brought the building down,” Sunder added.
However, a landmark academic study that was recently published has demonstrated that there was no way that WTC 7 could have collapsed from office fires and the official government story must be a fabrication:
A ground-breaking study conducted by the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) has shown that fires did not cause building 7 of the World Trade Center (WTC) to fall during the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, disputing the official story.
Researchers have produced a draft report of an in depth four-year study into what brought down WTC 7 and discovered that the conclusions found by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) could not have possibly taken place.
“Fire did not cause the collapse of WTC 7 on 9/11, contrary to the conclusions of NIST and private engineering firms that studied the collapse. The secondary conclusion of our study is that the collapse of WTC 7 was a global failure involving the near-simultaneous failure of every column in the building,” the authors of the study concluded.
It has long been speculated that WTC 7 fell from a controlled demolition, not from office fires as the feds have long told the public. This study bolsters the case made by the individuals who rejected the official narrative concocted by the globalist George W. Bush administration.
New York Area Fire Commissioners are beginning to question the official story of what happened on 9/11 as well.
The Franklin Square and Munson Fire District, which oversees a district of 30,000 residents outside of Queens, passed a resolution earlier this year which said there is “overwhelming evidence” that “pre-planted explosives . . . caused the destruction of the three World Trade Center buildings.”
“We’re a tight-knit community and we never forget our fallen brothers and sisters. You better believe that when the entire fire service of New York State is on board, we will be an unstoppable force,” Commissioner Christopher Gioia said after the resolution was approved on July 27.
“We were the first fire district to pass this resolution. We won’t be the last,” Gioia added.
As more details emerge about what really happened on 9/11, the so-called conspiracy 'theorists' may be vindicated for questioning the official government story.

Perhaps you missed my earlier comments in which I quoted Westcott’s commentary with respect to the Incarnation. In the material below—Westcott’s comments regarding John 1:14—you’ll see he absolutely affirms that Jesus is God incarnate:

Perhaps you can provide one example of his choosing of “problematic texts” in order to illustrate what this “agenda” might be?
As a preemptive defense, I offer the example in John 1:18, in which Westcott (and Hort) reject μονογενὴς υἱός, monogenēs huios by choosing the variant found in Vaticanus and Sinaiticus (and the mid-1950s unearthed P66) μονογενὴς θεὸς, monogenēs theos—a much stronger statement of Deity.

In no universe is such a sexually charged display appropriate for children, who have been participants in previous Drag Queen Story Hour events nationwide. It’s unclear if the individual’s performance was held in the presence of minors.
It evidently took place over the summer at a Seattle-area library. In any case, such a performance shouldn’t be held at a library, which is bound to draw many minors for more appropriate educational activities.
Sex offenders have previously been busted performing as drag queens in Drag Queen Story Hour events.
King County libraries have apparently held a series of Drag Queen Story Hour events in recent months and years, making it unsurprising that such an inappropriate performance would be permitted at the public facilities. Previous events have in fact featured children, making it more than possible that minors were present at the “stripper’s” dance performance.
Conservatives and those who simply support protecting the innocence of children can’t simply shrug their shoulders and surrender what should be a public space to the depravity of the Left. Right-wingers should emphatically oppose and seek to prevent such events from occurring, utilizing the power of local and state governments to protect children from such a display if necessary!
Post-liberal conservatives such as Sohrab Ahmari have proposed pressuring federally-subsidized national library organizations with LOSS OF FUNDING if they fail to push back against the increasingly prevalent phenomenon that is Drag Queen Story Hour.

There are different kinds of flesh. Terrestrial and celestial. Jesus flesh when he was on earth was terrestrial. It was temporary for him just as it's temporary for everyone.
When He arose from the dead, he had attributes that no human flesh ever has. He could "cloak" himself and remain hidden right in front of his friends. He could walk through walls. He could appear anywhere and then be somewhere else instantly.

Chapter 3: Tribulation or Wrath?
1 Thessalonians 3:4 (NKJV) For, in fact, we told you before when we were with you that we would suffer tribulation, just as it happened, and you know.
1 Thessalonians 1:10 (NKJV) and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.
As mentioned in the first chapter, all events of the Great Tribulation occur before any events of the Wrath of God. Therefore, the first step necessary for understanding end-time events is to get a clear understanding of the difference between the Great Tribulation and Wrath of God. Unless this difference is clearly understood, it is virtually impossible to understand end-time events. Therefore, the purpose of this chapter is to provide an overview of the major differences between the Great Tribulation and the Wrath of God.
The Great Tribulation
An important clue to remember when studying end-time events is that the Great Tribulation is demonic in origin. It includes the persecution and killing of many people by Satan's emissary-the Beast. The Beast (also called the Antichrist) will reign during the Great Tribulation. He will demand worship and conquer many countries. The Great Tribulation will be a time of intense evil. The source of the Great Tribulation is Satan (Rev. 13:2-4). Satan's purpose for the Great Tribulation is to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10). A major characteristic of the Great Tribulation is the deception of those who do not love the truth (2 Thes. 2:9-12).
The Wrath of God
The Wrath of God is godly judgment against evil. This judgment takes the form of seven plagues poured out against the Beast and those who worship him. These seven plagues are administered by the angels of God. The purpose of the Wrath of God is to punish the Beast and his followers (Rev. 14:9-10). The major characteristic of the Wrath of God is severe punishment of those who do not belong to God.
The Difference
The Great Tribulation and the Wrath of God are two separate events coming from two different sources for two different purposes. The Great Tribulation is a time of intense persecution. It is instigated by Satan through the Beast in an effort to deceive people and cause them to worship him instead of Jesus. The Wrath of God is a time of judgment which will be poured out upon the world by God. Its purpose is to punish the Beast and those who have taken his mark during the Great Tribulation.

A few days ago on a Sunday, a demoniacally deranged man shot up a Christian church in Sutherland Springs Texas. The shooter was a radical atheist who wanted to kill everyone in that church. The list of the dead range from an 18-month-old baby to a 77-year-old grandmother. Unfortunately, this kind of violence against churches has become the new norm in the United States, and Christians are genuinely perplexed how something like this could happen here. But this phenomenon is nothing new to the Church of Jesus Christ. Both our Lord and the Apostles warned us in Scripture that times of persecution would come upon the people of God. They warned us that tribulation would follow genuine devotion to Christ. Throughout the centuries the authentic followers of Jesus Christ have suffered greatly for their faith. They have been slandered, mocked, beaten, crucified, stoned, ravaged by wild beasts, tortured on the rack, sold into slavery, burned at the stake, and had their heads cut off for the sake of the true Gospel. Even today, all around the world, Christians are suffering horrible tribulation for their devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, more and more, this persecution is coming to America. And because of poor teaching, the American church is ill-prepared to deal with it.
[Those of our mindset] pride ourselves in our ability to rightly divide the Word of God. We preach and teach the Historical / Grammatical method of interpretation, and rightly so. To us, the idea of reading allegories or other foreign ideas into the text is reprehensible.
We also tend to pride ourselves on our ability to weed out theological positions that are purely based on false traditions and cultic mysticism, rather than solid scriptural evidence. This is because we rightly believe the Word of God is the inerrant final authority on all matters of faith and practice. For the most part, [we] contend for these hermeneutical principles in every area of theology, with one exception, eschatology. When it comes to the end times, preachers use all kinds of poetic license to develop their pet theories. No longer do they adhere to the notion that the Bible interprets the Bible; and that context determines the exact meaning of words. With eschatology, they tend to speculate when the bible is silent, and they diminish the clear meaning of God’s Word when it does not fit their narrative. With eschatology, all the rules are thrown out so they can change the meaning of words (just like cult leaders do) to support their aberrant end-time doctrines.
I will give you one glaring example of this trend using the word “tribulation.” The most popular end-times scenario, popularized by the late Tim Lehay and Jerry B. Jenkins in their Left Behind series of books goes something like this: The Great Tribulation is a period of future time when God’s wrath is poured out on the earth against unbelievers. This period of time lasts 7 years and marks the rise of the Antichrist. Since Christians are not subject to the wrath of God, all true believers in Christ will be raptured off planet earth just prior to the start of this seven year tribulation period. Sounds good, but there is a serious flaw in this definition of the word “tribulation.” Only a few times in scripture is the word tribulation used to speak of God’s punishment of the wicked. In 2 Thessalonians chapter one, God promises tribulation (affliction) to the ungodly immediately after He appears at His second coming. And in Revelation chapter two, Jesus says He will use tribulation (affliction) as a means of chastisement for the woman called Jezebel and those who follow her. All the rest of the references to tribulation are about Christians suffering affliction for their faith.
There is a serious problem with equating the concept of the great tribulation with the wrath of God. Because these ideas are two different concepts. Predominately the word “tribulation” in Scripture means the wrath of demoniacally inspired unbelievers persecuting the true believers of God. Thus, when authentic Christians are persecuted for their steadfast loyalty to the Savior Jesus Christ, they suffer tribulation. This tribulation is the wrath of Satan on genuine born again Christians. But on the other hand, “wrath” is God punishing the wicked for their sins, especially those who persecute true believers. Therefore, one concept is the wrath of God, and the other, the great tribulation, is the wrath of Satan.
Somehow through the writings of John Nelson Darby and C. I. Scofield, these concepts got intermingled and confused. To many evangelicals, Darby and Scofield are prophets of equal worth to the original 12 apostles. To them, when Scofield speaks, God must surrender to his interpretation. This is the kind of false traditionalism that many [professing Christians] unfortunately like. Since by their tradition, when Scofield speaks the debate is ended. And since Scofield has spoken, there is no need to test the spirits to see if they are of God. But if we really want to be true to [Christianity's Biblical] roots, we must examine what Darby, Scofield, Lehay, Jenkins and other pre-tribulationists say in the light of Scripture, just like anyone else.
Let’s get the definition of “tribulation” and see if it fits the Scofield / Lahay scenario. In Vine’s Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words, the word tribulation means “affliction.” He wrote that the great tribulation is a time when the fury (wrath) of antichristian powers are focused on the Palestinian Jews primarily, and on the Gentile witnesses of God secondarily. In other words, the great tribulation is the distress of God’s people when they are persecuted by the enemies of God. Additionally, in Arndt and Gingrich’s Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament, tribulation is defined by the Greek words thlibo and thipsis to primarily mean the distress of Christians as they are persecuted, afflicted and troubled by outward forces and circumstances. This definition is clearly taught by our Lord as He spoke to his disciples (the church) about the end-times,
“Therefore when you (the church) see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (whoever reads, let him understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let him who is on the house-top not go down to take anything out of his house. And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect sake those days shall be shortened.” (Matthew 24:15-22)
It is therefore evident by the context of Jesus Christ’s words that the great tribulation is defined as a time of horrible persecution of God’s elect, the church, who must flee from the wrath of Satan that comes by way of the Antichrist. The prophet Daniel said this period of time would last 3 ½ years and that “the power of the holy people (saints/elect) [would be] completely shattered.” (Daniel 12:7) Therefore the elect must endure through the great tribulation. This is the plain and correct meaning of both texts. And as the Lord tells us in the Book of Revelation,
“Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, ‘Who are these arrayed in white robes, where did they come from?’ And I said to him, ‘Sir, you know.’ So he said to me, ‘These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.’”
(Revelation 7:13,14)
To come out of something means you first have to be in something. These are Christians who were martyred in the great tribulation. Thus, the great tribulation is not God’s wrath on unbelievers, but Satan’s antichristian wrath upon authentic blood bought believers in Christ. The term “elect” means anyone who is in Christ at the time.
But again, based on the writings of Scofield and other per-tribulation rapture theorists, the great tribulation is equal to the wrath of God. However, there is no evidence of this in Scripture. And because the Apostle Paul tells us Christians are not “appointed to wrath” (1 Thessalonians. 5:9), they assume Christians do not have to suffer through the great tribulation. But there is nothing in Scripture that specifically states every Christian is exempt from tribulation, including the great tribulation. In fact the opposite is true, as the Apostle Paul said, “So that we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure, which is manifest evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you suffer.” (II Thessalonians 1:4,5)
Some Christians [will] be spared persecution in the great tribulation by the Lord in His sovereignty (Revelation 3:7-13), but many others will suffer for Christ. Even today, prior to the great tribulation, many people suffer horrible persecution and tribulation in hostile parts of the world, while other Christians live in relative peace and safety. During the great tribulation, [some] Christians [will] be spared by God, but [many] Christians will endure the greatest tribulation the world has ever seen. And as Christ said, unless He shortened those days, no flesh would be spared. But for the sake of the elect (the Church), he shortens those days.
There is a massive multi-million dollar industry dedicated to the assumption that the great tribulation is equal to the wrath of God. These proponents of the pre-tribulation rapture make millions of dollars writing books and making movies assuring Christian they do not have to suffer persecution or tribulation for their faith prior to the rapture. But these massive, complicated and bulky theories are held up by the flimsiest of Scriptural speculation and wordplay. It is like trying to lift the weight of an elephant off the ground using a kite string. No matter how hard you try the weight will break that string. Defining the great tribulation as the wrath of God is the kite string that can’t support the theory. It is the lynchpin that connects the whole thing. Without it, the entire theory falls apart. The Left Behind doctrines are nothing more than giant sand castles, giving people the false hope of evacuation just prior to a tsunami of end-time persecution. So instead of soberly preparing people to face the tribulation to come, the American evangelical church is throwing parties in their fortresses made of sand. Instead of putting on the whole armor of God, the church is putting on its party hat. Instead of making solid disciples, the church is making spiritual revelers, drunk on the wine of end-time myths and fables. Once these notions are dispelled, the entire theory is washed away by the reality of Christ’s sobering predictions.
I believe the Lord is calling us back to His word. Back to counting the costs involved with true discipleship and devotion to Jesus Christ. We need to stop acting like the victory is final, because there is still more to come. We need to stop the elitist mentality that assumes persecution can never happen to us. We need to stop partying like we are already in Heaven. We need to stop the complacency and tom-foolery associated with false security. We need to take off our party hats and put back on the whole armor of God so we can stand in the evil day. We need to remember God has called us to be willing to suffer tribulation for His namesake. We need to be soberly prepared to walk through the great tribulation. We need to understand once again this world is not our home, and that we are only passing through on our way to our glorious reward in the life to come. We need to be prepared, along with our brothers and sisters around the world, to give up everything, even our lives if necessary, to be with the Lord in glory.
The trouble with tribulation is that it is coming our way.

Alright. The above five comments all make good sense.
But it all just brings me back to my long held position that the final week, as per Daniel, is seven years divided into two parts. The first part is the great persecution of all true believers in Jesus Christ. It lasts three and a half years. At the end of those three and a half years the Antichrist is revealed for who he is, when he walks into the temple and declares himself to be God.
I believe in a Mid Tribulation. At the point where the Beast is revealed, the Rapture of the saints takes place, and the Time of Jacobs Trouble begins. It also lasts three and a half years. This is the Wrath of God.
I just still think that one could call the whole seven years The Great Tribulation. I see what you call the wrath of Satan as just the first part of the wrath of God. Satan has absolutely no power at all except what God lets him have. And God lets Satan do his thing for three and a half years. It's all God's judgement. The angel comes down and opens the pit of hell and out comes the Great Deceiver, though at first it's just the smoke of the pit that comes out. I think that could be about where we are right now. The stench and smoke of hell, it's seems to me is all over the place. God has already been kicked out of our schools and people everywhere are clamoring for more and more iniquity and perversion. Deception is the norm now. The MSM is corrupt to the very core. A large portion of America seems to want a Socialist President and a godless government, etc etc.
BTW I read about three pages of the LeHay first book, and tossed it. It read like garbage to me.
Also every time I read from people who don't believe in a Rapture, I notice they always use the term "Secret Rapture". I don't know who came up with that term but it ain't in the Bible and it seems like a deliberate deception to me.
It won't be much of a secret when it happens and I've got to think that millions of people will realize exactly what it is, which will make the time of Gods Wrath even more unbearable.

back to Matt 24:15..now a pivot..somebody standing where they should not (on temple mount? -holy place (no temple yet?) speaking big sweeling words making empty promises? Desolation to God pertaining to Israel is the people of the land fleeing the land..abandoning...(His land His promises) because the man of sin is there! Remember he has "shortened time" = 3.5 years verse 22. So the Jews have fled in verse 21!..for then shall be...great tribulation!!!...Anti-Christ has his 3 1/2 years just as Jesus had an earthly ministry of 3 1/2 years too--the devil is such a copycat--that "angel of light" takes control-for a time----then the return of Jesus Christ closes out the chapter).

The secret rapture is simply called “secret” because, according to the theory, no one will see Jesus coming except believers (this is in contrast to the second coming of Christ after the tribulation, when “every eye will see him” -Revelation 1:7).

I was born again through a house to house preacher who preached the gospel to me. He was from the Independent Fundamentalist Separatist Baptist Quasi Cult. I believed what he said, and am grateful for his faithfulness to witness Christ to the lost! However, little by little the Lord revealed to me the error, and incompleteness in the I F S doctrine. These preachers rail against obvious cults like the Catholic, Mormon, and JW cults, but they themselves are leavened with 'doctrines' of demons. Those doctrines of demons they expose in obvious cults. So after several years of being in the I F S church I walked away. Unfortunately my children are members of that church, and they live just outside of a major metropolitan area. When I urge them to simplify their life, and move to the country were my grandkids could have a better quality of life, and to store some food, and make provision for tough times, they think I'm nuts! Their so called church preaches pre trib rapture! My son's wife has even said to me that Jesus wants us to "have a good time, and enjoy life." My children are completely unprepared for the things that will shortly take place on this Earth. It deeply greives me that they think I'm nuts, and they stubbornly adhere to the pre trib rapture doctrine of their Quasi Cult.
What do you think the stopping of the sacrifices refers to? What do you think the Temple made desolate refers to? Any third physical temple would be desolate from the start. Starting any sacrifices of animals in such a place would be an abomination unto the Lord from the get go because it is a complete denial of the ultimate sacrifice made by Jesus Christ on the cross. Democrats and their sycophantic allies in the Washington media are once again staging political theater in an attempt to convince more Americans that President Trump committed an impeachable offense during a phone call with the Ukrainian president earlier this summer.
If you listen to the Dems and the media, they say Trump asked President Zelensky for “dirt” on former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden regarding a business deal involving the latter, and that Trump threatened to withhold aid from Ukraine if he didn’t cooperate.
In fact, Joe Biden did what they are accusing Trump of doing: Threatening, in 2015, to withhold a billion dollars in aid from Ukraine unless that government fired a prosector who was looking into corruption involving a company that was paying Hunter Biden 50 grand a month to be an ‘adviser.’
But hey, you don’t have to believe us; believe Joe Biden. He admitted what he did, on behalf of then-President Obama, on video.

So last week we were treated to a number of reports regarding ‘dire developments’ in the Ukrainegate non-scandal, including reports that Trump’s Cabinet members were being served with subpoenas from the House to testify on behalf the ‘ongoing impeachment inquiry.’
Both of those claims are out-and-out LIES.
Recall that on Sept. 24, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi held a much-hyped press conference to announce “in the gravest of tones, that she was moving forward with an official impeachment inquiry in the Democrat-controlled lower chamber over President Donald Trump’s request that Ukraine investigate the activities of Joe and Hunter Biden in that country during the Obama presidency and his supposed refusal to turn over a whistleblower report about that request,” the Western Journal reported.
Nothing about Democrats and their media is real
While Pelosi’s carefully-staged presser sure made it look like the Democrats in the House just had no choice but to ‘hold Trump accountable,’ she was lying about what was actually taking place, as noted by former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy.
“There is no impeachment inquiry. There are no subpoenas,” McCarthy wrote in The Hill last week.
He acknowledged that it is understandable for Americans to think that Pelosi was directing the House to begin a formal impeachment inquiry. Further, that faulty impression “is completely understandable if you have been taking in media coverage — in particular, reporting on the haughty Sept. 27 letter from House Democrats, presuming to direct Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, on pain of citation for obstruction, to cooperate in their demands to depose State Department officials and review various records.”
That letter was summarily dismissed by Pompeo for what it was — merely a request for cooperation, since there is no official impeachment inquiry (Pompeo used to be a U.S. representative so he knows how impeachment is supposed to work).
There hasn’t been a formal vote in the House Judiciary Committee, where a majority of members would have to actually approve and call for an impeachment inquiry, despite what Democrats say and despite what their lying media sycophants have reported.
It’s as much a charade as the claim that Trump blackmailed the Ukrainian government into forcing them to give him ‘dirt’ on Joe and Hunter Biden.
There is little that is real about the Democrat Party, their media sycophants, or the deep state when it comes to their dealings with, and accusations against, President Trump.

Basically, the White House's refusal to cooperate is premised on three things, The Daily Wire adds:

That’s why Pelosi is allowing “pencil neck” House Intelligence Committee chair Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) to handle the pseudo-inquiry: So he can claim evidence must be shielded from the public for ‘national security’ and other bogus reasons.
Democrats are attempting to railroad our president the very same way they will railroad (and worse) the president’s supporters if they ever get the chance.

You do you understand that the site you sourced is a KJV-only, aka Textus Receptus priority site, don’t you? Evidence of this is found in the use of 1 John 5:7-8 in their comparison of the NIV and KJV. It’s not only Alexandrian texts that do not have the KJV/TR extra verbiage here—the Johannine Comma—it is also absent in the large majority of Byzantine texts, and it’s largely absent in other text types. In addition, that site compares the NIV and KJV in John 8:35, which reflects merely a translational difference (“a son” vs. “the son”), for the Greek text underlying the Alexandrian, the TR, AND the current Critical Text (NA28/UBS5) all contain the Greek article before huios (“son”), i.e., they are all the same here.

As regards Dr. David Sorenson he has a D. Min.—a doctorate in Ministry. This requires little to no Greek or textual criticism. What other credentials might he have that would warrant me (or anyone else) taking his work seriously? I found his book Neither Oldest Nor Best, and I’d certainly question his basic assertions. I’ll agree that some of the papyri are older than Sinaiticus and Vaticanus, though.

Since I’m not going to spend time looking at either video, perhaps you, RayB, could just distill one juicy bit into a brief statement—just one thing to point towards a good reason to go against the myriad scholars who really do have degrees in this area. Perhaps just one verse or section of the W&H text (or Critical Text) that ‘proves’ that “seducing spirits” have “affected their work”. Where specifically is this evident by reading the Greek (or appropriately translated English) text of W&H?
If you want to be taken seriously on this subject, I suggest you read Dr. Maurice Robinson’s work. He IS an expert in the field, and he is a strong advocate for the Byzantine text. A somewhat recent interview is available here:

The slip up that you caught is very similar to what apparently happened with the placement of the infamous "ad" on this blog ... which was witnessed by several people along with myself. My guess is that she (or her live in roommate) must have mistakenly thought they were on another site when the ad was posted. Once the mistake was realized, somehow, it was almost immediately taken down ... by whom, I don't know. The reason I say that is this; I wouldn't have a clue as to how to remove a post on this site. All I know is that I definitely saw it under her screen name which was exact in every detail to what she always uses .... others corroberated exactly what I saw.

It was an unremarkable Wednesday afternoon when our nanny texted my wife and me asking if we were speaking through one of the Nest cameras in our house. We both replied that we were not.
Then the nanny texted that a voice was coming through the kitchen camera and using bad words.
I immediately pulled up the video feed and began reviewing:
I hear the familiar chime, which means someone is about to talk through the camera.
Then, to my horror, a female voice that I don’t recognize starts talking to my 18-month-old son. He looks around the room and then at the ceiling, wondering who’s there.
It feels as though my heart is about to beat through my chest. The blood rushes to my face. I am completely helpless.
The voice is laughing when it chimes in. She says we have a nice house and encourages the nanny to respond. She does not. The voice even jokes that she hopes we don’t change our password. I am sick to my stomach.
After about five minutes of verbal “joy riding,” the voice starts to get agitated at the nanny’s lack of response and then snaps, in a very threatening voice:
“I’m coming for the baby if you don’t answer me, bitch!”
My jaw drops.
We unplug the cameras and change all passwords. The nanny has taken our son to the park down the street in an effort to escape. However, the damage has been done.
Still helpless, I started doing the only thing I could do — Googling. I typed “Nest + camera + hacked” and found out that this happens frequently. Parent after parent relayed stories similar to mine — threatening to steal a baby is shockingly common — and some much worse, such as playing pornography over the microphone to a 3-year-old.
I dived deeper to find out how this could have happened. Essentially, an email and a password are compromised somewhere across the internet. They join millions of other email addresses and passwords, which are then cross-referenced with other websites, including Nest. When a match is found, any novice can jump on and terrorize with little to no technical background.
What is worse is that anyone could have been watching us at any time for as long as we have had the cameras up. This person just happened to use the microphone. Countless voyeurs could have been silently watching (or worse) for MONTHS.
However, what makes this issue even more terrifying is a corporate giant’s complete and utter lack of response.
Nest is owned by Google, and, based on my experience and their public response, Google does NOT seem to care about this issue. They acknowledge it as a problem, shrug their shoulders and point their fingers at the users. Their party line is to remind people that the hardware was not hacked; it was the user’s fault for using a compromised password and not implementing two-step authentication, in which users receive a special code via text to sign on.
That night, on my way home from work, I called Nest support and was on hold for an hour and eight minutes. I followed all directions and have subsequently received form emails in broken English. Nobody from Google has acknowledged the incident or responded with any semblance of empathy. In every email, they remind me of two-step authentication. They act as if I am going to continue to use Nest cameras.
I am reminded of Google’s former motto: “Don’t be evil” (now buried in literally the last sentence of their code of conduct). It is not evil to bring a product to market before the privacy has been completely figured out, but it is evil to let someone threaten to kidnap an 18-month-old and have no real response.
Maybe privacy is a thing of the past. Maybe trolls on the internet are everywhere. Or maybe an almost trillion-dollar company needs to hire a few more developers focused on security and a few more customer service representatives to help parents cope when anonymous, sadistic people terrorize their users.
Or maybe Google buried its former motto for a REASON.

As regards the extant texts, we can only go by the evidence we do have. Some of the Alexandrian texts have been shown to be older than all the extant Byzantine (Byz) texts. While it’s possible that the Byz texts we do have are an accurate reflection of the exact autographs, it is also possible that the Alexandrian more accurately reflect the autographs. The fact is we just do not know. And, as I keep pointing out, the Alexandrian reading of John 1:18 (monogenēs God) is the more Christ-exalting. Specifically, “son” in the Byz here can be seen as a harmonization with John 3:16, 18 and 1 John 4:9, and, to my mind, this sort of thing appears to occur quite often in the Byz text. That is, the Byz seems to smooth out ‘difficulties’ in some areas. This is my opinion—aligning with some text critics—but those who promote the Byz text, would claim the Alexandrian is wrong in these cases. The bottom line is that absolutely no one is absolutely certain of the original autographs.

These sure are a lot of syllogistic assumptions on your part. So, in your mind, the typical individual does a “piecemeal Bible ‘study’”, locates a certain proof-text for a particular doctrinal position, then upon subsequently finding that the proof-text is no longer there, the individual would “put a heretical spin on verses” instead of looking elsewhere for their doctrinal position.
In any case, you’ve still not backed up this specific allegation: I think Wescott didn't so much interpret as choose problematic texts for an agenda. That’s cause Westcott didn’t and you can’t.

John 8:35 is arguably not a reference to Jesus. 8:36 certainly is, but 8:35 may not, for it follows the flow of Jesus’ argument from 8:34. It’s not uncommon for the Greek article (ho) to precede “son” (huios) as a general reference rather than a particular reference to Jesus as “the Son”. An example is Matthew 7:9. The use of the Greek article in front of “son” is paralleled in “slave” at the beginning of 8:35, and, thus, translators either render both with an “a” preceding or both with “the” preceding, and not all assume that “son” is a reference to Jesus (these don’t capitalize “son”). But, as I stated, this is translational difference, NOT a difference in the actual Greek text, and thus has no relation to Westcott at all.

But the Johannine Comma is NOT Byzantine, is it? And the Johannine Comma, long ending of Mark, and adultery pericope may NOT have been “known statements of Christ”. Even if they were, if they were not part of Sacred Scripture, then why would some later copyist ADD to Scripture?
I should rephrase the last sentence above: Even if they were [sayings of Jesus], if they were not part of Sacred Scripture, then why would some later copyists make ADDITIONS to Sacred Scripture?
The “long ending of Mark” evidences inferior Greek as compared to the Gospel proper. I’ve already made note of the Johannine Comma, but I’d not mentioned that its insertion does not agree grammatically with the remaining Greek. And, since the KJV-only/Textus Receptus-only position entails the all-or-nothing proposition that this text is ‘God’s perfect word’, then it stands or falls on the Johannine Comma. Since the Comma is clearly not original to the NT, then KJV-onlyism/Textus Receptus-onlyism fails. It’s really that simple.

One of the experimenters involved with the Labeled Release (LR) life detection experiment that took place during NASA’s Viking mission to Mars back in 1976 has gone public with the claim that life on Mars was discovered more than 40 years ago, even though the government has yet to admit the truth.
According to Gilbert V. Levin, writing for the Scientific American blog, test results from this mission were returned to NASA on July 30, 1976, revealing that something was, in fact, alive on Mars in the distant past, despite the planet being uninhabitable today.
Throughout the course of the experiment, a total of four positive results backed by five varied controls showed that “microbial respiration” did exist on the Red Planet, with soil tests showing similar data curves as those collected on Earth.
At the time, NASA was insistent that the mission didn’t uncover true life because no actual organic matter, considered to be the “essence of life,” was detected. As such, NASA declared the mission to be a failure, as it only resulted in the discovery of a life-like substance.
“Inexplicably, over the 43 years since Viking, none of NASA’s subsequent Mars landers has carried a life detection instrument to follow up on these exciting results,” notes Levin, suggesting that NASA never expected to discover life on Mars in the first place, and certainly never intended to tell the public about it if it did.
“Instead the agency launched a series of missions to Mars to determine whether there was ever a habitat suitable for life and, if so, eventually to bring samples to Earth for biological examination,” Levin further explains.

NASA has long claimed that its number-one priority is to find alien life. So why, then, has NASA been covering up the truth all these years, and even going so far as to prohibit the use of life-detection technologies on its many subsequent space missions?

As for NASA’s longstanding Mars coverup, further proof that life did, in fact, exist on the Red Planet can be found in the fact that surface water has also been detected there, as has the alleged carbon footprint of “ancient Martian” civilizations.
“In summary, we have: positive results from a widely-used microbiological test; supportive responses from strong and varied controls; duplication of the LR results at each of the two Viking sites; replication of the experiment at the two sites; and the failure over 43 years of any experiment or theory to provide a definitive nonbiological explanation of the Viking LR results,” Levin concludes.
“What is the evidence against the possibility of life on Mars? The astonishing fact is that there is none. Furthermore, laboratory studies have shown that some terrestrial microorganisms could survive and grow on Mars,” he concludes.

Life On Mars
Was Mars always in such a devastated state as this [current one]? Scientists who have no “dog in the hunt” in terms of Biblical understanding and interpretation have certainly envisioned a “wetter, warmer” Mars in the distant past. Is there room in Scripture for such a possibility?
While Scripture doesn’t mandate a “life worthy” Mars, I don’t see any passage in the Bible in which it is ruled out. As far as I can tell, it is entirely feasible within the boundaries of Scripture that in that distant past Mars was a lovely creation, with lakes, oceans, forests – possibly even animal life.

Researchers from universities in Los Angeles, California, Tempe, Arizona and Siena, Italy have published a paper in the International Journal of Aeronautical and Space Sciences (IJASS) citing the results of their work with data obtained by NASA’s Viking mission.
The twin Viking 1 and 2 landers launched in August and September of 1975 and successfully landed on Mars in July and September of the following year. Their principal mission was to search for life, which they did by digging into the ruddy Martian soil looking for signs of respiration — a signal of biological activity.

Now, 35 years later, one team of researchers claims that the Viking landers did indeed detect life, and the data’s been there all along.
“Active soils exhibited rapid, substantial gas release,” the team’s report states. “The gas was probably CO2 and, possibly, other radiocarbon-containing gases.”
By applying mathematical complexities to the Viking data for deeper analysis, the researchers found that the Martian samples behaved differently than a non-biological control group.
“Control responses that exhibit relatively low initial order rapidly devolve into near-random noise, while the active experiments exhibit higher initial order which decays only slowly,” the paper states. “This suggests a ROBUST BIOLOGICAL response.”

The Martian Atmosphere MUST BE THICKER Than We've Been Told!

According to the text books Mars has very low surface air pressure which is 0.6 of the sea level pressure we have on Earth. The pounds per square inch is 0.087 (psi) to our 14.69 (psi). Images of the Martian sky taken in these alleged conditions often reveal an orange or grey-blue sky.
At 0.087 psi the level of Martian air pressure is similar to the very thin atmosphere on Earth at an altitude of 100,000 feet. According to this chart the psi on Earth at 100,000 feet is 0.162 compared to Mars at 0.087.
HOWEVER, the problem we face is that during the daylight hours on Earth at 100,000 feet the sky appears black.
On Mars, with a similar air pressure, looking upwards we are not treated to a black sky during the daylight hours but something either reddish or blue-grey.
We have been *told* that the colour of the Martian sky is due to dust particles suspended in the atmosphere.
BUT without dust, or even with small amounts of dust, and having such a thin atmosphere, the sky should conform to the same physical principles we find on Earth - the sky will be black.
On Earth, if we find ourselves looking skyward at a reddish hue we need either a lot of dust, like what one sees during a dust storm (in which visibility becomes obstructed); or instances where the Sun is shining low in the sky (through a lot more atmosphere) and the Rayleigh light scattering effect has turned away the blue wavelengths of light leaving the longer wavelengths of light (such as red) to travel in the direction of the observer. Also causing the red colouring on Earth is the Mei light scattering effect that interacts with larger sized particles (dust) at lower altitudes to cause red sunset colours to dominate out of the Sun's spectrum of light.
The problem we face with Mars is that there is an allegedly thin atmosphere and a distinct lack of haze from dust in the sky - except when there are dust storms. Looking at the thousands of high resolution images taken of Mars by the European Space Agency probe Mars Express you can see pictures without noticeable dust haze. Many of the pictures are stunning because of their clarity.
If the atmosphere was always full of dust - enough to cause a red hue- then we should almost always see instances of dust haze, just like on Earth when we find orange sky situations.
One should note that on any Earth day there is actually dust suspended in our relatively thick atmosphere - car filters pick it up all the time - and yet looking upwards - we see no red hues. All we are greeted with is the blue glare from the Rayleigh effect as white light interacts with small gas molecules in our atmosphere.
At night time, we still have our atmosphere, with the dust, and yet when we look up, there is no red hue, even when we have the stronger levels of light reflected directly off the Moon, absent the excessive blue glare from the daytime Rayleigh effect. Looking at the Moon we commonly see the white Sun light, and the grey and darker surface colours, being reflecting off the Moon - plus occasionally we see it as yellow thanks to mild Rayleigh scattering and dust effects - but no reds like in the Mars pictures.
With such a thin atmosphere on Mars, the sky should be predominantly black, just like on Earth at 100,000 feet, with occasional instances of redness from dust storms. The idea that there is enough dust always suspended in the thin Martian atmosphere to give a constant red hue seems extremely unlikely.
It has also been claimed that the red Mars we see, that looks like a star in the night sky, is due again to suspended dust in the atmosphere - in combination with the planet's surface colour. Yet when we look at the Moon we see its colour does not come from dust suspended in an atmosphere, but from the dark surface, the Sun's white light, and the effects of our own atmosphere. The same can hold true of Mars and we should not automatically accept that dust in the atmosphere must be the primary element - although such an effect is present when there are dust storms, which is to be expected on a planet that comprises mostly of desert.
The bottom line is that according to the official account - with a thin atmosphere - the Martian sky should theoretically be very black. There is no evidence to show that there is enough dust continually suspended in the clear sky to create the haze needed to produce an orange sky we see in the official pictures - the ones labelled as showing the true Martian sky colour.
The same process we find Earth works on Mars - the basic physics does NOT change.
What is more likely, is that the sky we see in the Martian pictures is much thicker than what we have been told.
This thicker atmosphere would account for 'wash features' on the surface plus many of the images we find with blue-grey sky colours. The orange clear sky colours would be the image 'enhanced' pictures released by NASA, not the true colour pictures. At present many scientists are having trouble explaining the liquid water related phenomena (http://rt.com/news/water-flowing-mars-nasa-evidence-470/) because water would evaporate rapidly in the officially endorsed low pressure environment.

Revealing the True Colors of NASA

NASA has a long and curious "history" regarding the "real" Mars … and certainly its color.
Perhaps the most infamous account is of the controversy that still swirls around the release by JPL, over a quarter of a century ago, of the first "true color Viking Lander image," just one day after Viking touched down in the pre-dawn darkness (Pacific time) of July 20, 1976. Within a few hours of that historic publication -- the release of the first color photograph from the surface of Mars -- another, hurriedly revised version of this first color surface image was suddenly produced – "correcting the initial color engineering problems" in the first image.
Decades later, one of those personally present at JPL (and curiously "involved") would relate a very different story of this incident:
The "witness" is the son of the scientist in charge of one of Viking’s three historic "biology investigations," the Labeled Release Experiment: Principle Investigator, Dr. Gilbert Levin. His son’s name is Dr. Ron Levin, now also a scientist – a physicist -- at MIT.
In the summer of 1976 (when Viking landed), Ron was a newly-graduated high school student, assisting his father at JPL during that incomparable "Viking Summer" (where this writer was also present, covering the extraordinary Viking story for millions of readers of a major magazine, and a couple of broadcast television networks …).
The following is from Levin’s first-hand recollections of the whole affair, recounted in a recent book by science writer Barry DiGregorio -- the remarkable "over reaction" by JPL that occurred in response to Ron Levin’s naive efforts to "correct" what seemed to him that July afternoon to be "a deliberate – if perplexing – methodical distortion of the incoming Viking Lander data" (Mars: The Living Planet, B. DiGregorio, G. Levin and P. Straat, Frog Ltd, Berkeley, CA 1997).
According to DiGregorio’s narrative:
"At about 2:00 P.M. PDT, the first color image from the surface of another planet, Mars, began to emerge on the JPL color video monitors located in many of the surrounding buildings, specifically set up for JPL employees and media personnel to view the Viking images. Gil and Ron Levin sat in the main control room where dozens of video monitors and anxious technicians waited to see this historic first color picture. As the image developed on the monitors, the crowd of scientists, technicians, and media reacted enthusiastically to a scene that would be absolutely unforgettable – Mars in color. The image showed an Arizona-like landscape: blue sky, brownish-red desert soil, and gray rocks with GREEN SPLOTCHES ...
"Gil Levin commented to Patricia Straat [his co-Investigator] and his son Ron, ‘Look at that image! It looks like Arizona’ [below].
"Two hours after the first color image appeared on the monitors, a technician abruptly changed the image from the light-blue sky and Arizona-like landscape to a uniform orange-red sky and landscape [below]. Ron Levin looked in disbelief as the technician went from monitor to monitor making the change. Minutes later, Ron followed him, resetting the colors to their original appearance. Levin and Straat were interrupted when they heard someone being chastised. It was Ron Levin being chewed out by the Viking Project Director himself, James S. Martin, Jr. Gil Levin went immediately and asked, "What is going on?" Martin had caught Ron changing all the color monitors back to their original settings. He warned Ron that if he tried something like that again, he’d be thrown out of JPL for good. The Director then asked a TRW engineer assisting the Biology team, Ron Gilje, to follow Ron Levin around to every color monitor and change it back to the red landscape.
"What Gil Levin, Ron and Patricia Straat did not know (even to this writing) is that the order to change the colors came directly from the NASA Administrator himself, Dr. James Fletcher. Months later, Gil Levin sought out the JPL Viking Imaging Team technician who actually made the changes and asked why it was done. The technician responded that he had instructions from the Viking Imaging Team that the Mars sky and landscape should be red and went around to all the monitors ‘tweaking’ them to make it so. Gil Levin said, ‘The new settings showed the American flag (painted on the Landers – below as having PURPLE stripes. The technician said that the Mars atmosphere made the flag appear that way [emphasis added].’"
As someone who was also at JPL that afternoon, and vividly remembers a similar shock -- when the "Arizona Mars" initially flashed on the JPL monitors was suddenly transformed into a Martian "Red Light District" – I now kick myself for not asking lots more questions.
But, it was 1976 -- and we all trusted our Space Agency back then …

In August 1989, The New York Times reported that the United States Air Force was disbanding a previously unknown secret cadre of 32 secret military astronauts based in Los Angeles, who were associated with a parallel multi-billion dollar space shuttle program that the USAF is running out of Vandenberg AFB in California.
This story by veteran New York Times reporter, William Broad, reported that the USAF was abandoning a major space control center in Colorado and a $3.3 billion never-used spaceport at Vandenberg AFB, according to the Air Force.

Richard Sauder: "Essentially, the thrust of the story was that the USAF spent billions of dollars on a secret 32-man astronaut corps and a secret spaceport and launch control center (LCC) and never used any of it! I simply do not believe this account as put forth by the USAF. I believe, in fact, that the opposite is likely to be true and that the U. S. military does have, and has had, not one but likely multiple secret space programs using both conventional aerospace technologies and also unconventional technologies such as electro-gravitic and nuclear propulsion modes. I believe it is highly possible that the USAF has put up its own space shuttles, perhaps using Dyno-Soar style technology, and very likely using the facilities at Vandenberg AFB that they told us back in the late 1980s that they lavished billions of dollars on and never used. Linda, I think that’s a stretch. They probably did use them.

And as far as things like the 'Face on Mars' being 'rebutted' by 'authorities' (including by citing subsequent photographs taken) FYI here is a perfect example of what they stoop to doing:
