John E. Fetzer and Constance Cumbey - - Fighting either for or against the “New Age”: Two former Seventh Day Adventists originally from the Fort Wayne, Indiana area – very, very different paths!
The immense ironies have not escaped me. One of the greatest perpetrators of the New Age Movement came from the same corner of Indiana where I was born and raised, although he arrived much earlier than myself (1909 vs. 1944). That was John E. Fetzer. One sounding the major warnings against the New Age Movement, myself, also came from that same corner of Indiana. John Fetzer was born in Decatur, Indiana. I was born in very nearby Fort Wayne, Indiana. Ironically, for formative years of our respective lives, we were both once Seventh Day Adventists. Out of curiosity, I searched online for mentions of our respective selves in SDA archives. The following is from the James White Library of Andrews University, the flagship Seventh Day Adventist university located in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Mr. Fetzer (1909-1991 and myself (1944 - present) took very, very different paths. Ironically, I only learned of Fetzer’s Seventh Day Adventist background after reading a by now well publicized book by Brian C. Wilson, a professor of Comparative Religions at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Kalamazoo, Michigan is where John E. Fetzer was headquartered for many years and where he built his business empire worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Kalamazoo is the home of the Fetzer Institute recipient of the huge fortune left by Mr. Fetzer on his death in Hawaii in 1991. Mr. Fetzer left his immensely large fortune to propagate and propagandize the New Age Movement.
Ironically, all I knew of Fetzer until 1988,
the year Marilyn Ferguson called me to brag that she was enroute to his very
large New Age conference was that he (Fetzer) was a long time Detroit Tigers baseball team owner. Marilyn Ferguson called me with a nearly bragging, "ha ha" voice to say she was enroute there and so were many others. This was his "Healing the Whole World" Conference John Fetzer held in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Prominent figures from around the globe --
New Age and globalist elites were to be in attendance. Indeed they were. They included such New Age luinaries as Marilyn Ferguson, Maurice Strong, Robert Muller (the UN Muller, not the famous Special Prosecutor),
Marilyn Ferguson and I were rivals --
literally competing for souls. She for
the New Age Movement, myself against same.
I met her personally on a few occasions and was even in her home on 3 different
occasions at her her invitation and urging .
The New Agers were anxious to check me out, but considered me a very
real threat. I know Marilyn Ferguson
was a dedicated New Ager for most of her adult life. I personally overheard her very worried mother
who happened to be in her house one of the two different days I was there plead
with her daughter Marilyn to go back to Jesus.
Over the years I had several encounters with Marilyn Ferguson, including
but not limited to a live television debate against her on an Marilyn Ferguson
and I met on several occasions. She sent
my publisher, Huntington House a threatening letter. When that moved neither them nor myself, she
next sent me a letter somewhat more conciliatory. We had breakfast in a Windsor Ontario
Restaurant in 1982. In 1984 I was
surprised to be called by her secretary and invited to come to her home in Los
Angeles, California for the first New Age “World War IV” party.
I said I would let them know. I called Bill Keith, president of Huntington House,
my publisher and told him of the sudden
invitation for an event only two days away.
Richard Trosclair, his partner, called they called me back saying it was
very important I be there. They would
make the arrangements for the flight. I called
a fellow researcher, Sylvia Beadleston McKevey in San Jose who agreed to fly up
to Los Angeles and join us. We both stayed
with another researcher friend Betty Irwin in the Los Angeles Palos Verdes area. On Sunday afternoon we three made our way to Marilyn
Ferguson’s home at the top of Mt. Washington in L.A The
New Agers were obviously curious to look me over. It was quite a disparate collection of backyard
with name-tag attendees. Indeed, Timothy
Leary was one of those present in her backyard party.
I was at her home on two future occasions --
one was in early October 1987, right after a major earthquake in the LA
area. There I met her mother,
justifiably worried about Marilyn being involved in a movement denying Jesus,
and I met her husband and children along with the family parrot. The next time I had a live encounter with
Marilyn Ferguson was in the early Spring months of 1988. An Indianapolis TV station producer called to
ask me to debate her on a live television program. Apart from that, we had many long telephone
conversations from time to time over the years.
All calls were initiated and placed by her. Motives are some times difficult to gauge,
but I suspect she respected me. I also
assume she was calling to try to find out how much I knew. Certainly, she learned that I knew
plenty. Most certainly she could never
say she was not fully and politely warned.
Marilyn Ferguson could be a very likeable and personable
individual. I’ve prayed that when she
died on October 8, 2008 in Banning, California at only age 70, that maybe she
better late than never had accepted her worried mother’s warning -- one that I
personally heard her give in October 1987.
As to John E. Fetzer, I learned from Dr.
Wilson’s book that he graduated as valedictorian from Emmanuel Missionary
College in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
While in attendance there he organized and ran its first radio
station. That station he later purchased
and relocated it to Kalamazoo, Michigan changing it from its religious format to
a more secular one.
I am suspecting that John Fetzer may have
known much more about me than I did about him, most likely starting in the year
1982, the year my work detailing the hidden dangers of the New Age Movement
went very public. Now that I've delved into online historical documents of the Fetzer Institute, the John E. Fetzer Memorial Trust, and the Franklin Fetzer Fund, I'm even more convinced of that. I'm further suspecting that John Fetzer may have been a major contributor to the travel and advertising costs of Tara Center, including funding the worldwide Newspaper ads that ran on April 25, 1982.
I faced tremendous challenges and foes in
outlining the horrifying plans that New Age activists were not afraid to put in
print. They were riding high in
1982. Between 1975 and 1982 and for many
years thereafter, another personality, Benjamin Creme, an Englishman of what he
claimed was Jewish and Scottish descent toured the world in style proclaiming
first that a new “Christ” was coming and after July 19, 1977, he was here.
I am now suspecting that John Fetzer was a
major contributor to what had to be the enormous travel bills for Benjamin
Creme and his claimed messianic cause. I
now know from books publicly placed on the market and documents available
online from the Fetzer Institute of Kalamazoo, Michigan, that former Seventh
Day Adventist long since turned to New Age spiritualism and beyond studied and
read Creme along with his nephew, Bruce Fetzer, also from a Christian heritage.
John Fetzer was one of America’s wealthiest
men. Childless from his marriage to
another Seventh Day Adventist, Rhea, he left his entire vast fortune to be used
for propagating New Age beliefs and their goals of a New World Order, a New
World Religion, and to secure acceptance for a new “messiah” they freely
admitted was not Jesus.
The irony also has not escaped me that Fetzer
also might have been a large factor in the treatment I received from those in
the Evangelical community trying so hard to persuade the Christian world first
that there was no New Age Movement. When
that effort failed, there were major attempts to redefine it -- denying both
its obvious Luciferic and political aspects.
The effort was to tell Christians that it was not a threat to
Christianity and the other monotheistic religions of the world, Jews and
Moslems included.
If you have not already read my now several
years old articles on the internet about “The Hijacking of Evangelicalism”, you
might want to now retrieve and read them.
If you have already read them, you will want to review them. I am about to update them with information I
have gained on Fetzer’s possible role in that process -- in his close personal
relationship with Paul N. Temple and Temple’s Institute of Noetic Sciences.
It is now my growing suspicion that Fetzer may
have even paid a substantial portion of the cost of producing the world-wide
newspaper ads ran in a half million dollar campaign. I am also suspecting he had helped to pay Benjamin Creme's obviously heavy travel expenses. Those ads ran in upwards of 20 major papers
on April 25, 1982. They proclaimed that
their new “Christ” would be introduced to the world within two months. They firmly believed they would do so.
It is my belief that with the help of God, we
took them and that campaign by surprise and they have been delayed for upwards
of 37 ears -- between 1982 and 2019.
It is further my belief that they are now on
the march and sanctifying the New Age belief system complete with Alice Bailey
(Lucifer Publishing Company, Lucis Trust) via attempting to confer public
sainthood on John E. Fetzer and his “spiritual” work.
Where have the Seventh Day Adventists been on
this?
I did a little digging on the internet tonight. I also found this quote from a Kalamazoo
site:

But most of the
money went to the John E. Fetzer Foundation, which he established in 1962.
Called the Fetzer Institute today, it
sponsors research into what Fetzer called the connections between body, mind
and spirit - another interest of his from his youth. In August of 1987,
Fetzer moved his foundation and its staff of nearly 30 to new headquarters
overlooking Dustin Lake on West KL Avenue in Oshtemo Township. The
structure is an equilateral triangle shape representing the three connections
he believed in. His interest in parapsychology and spirituality began
at an early age, and he claimed to have had several spiritual experiences that
influenced his later life. While spending a year bedridden with complications
of influenza, he made this commitment, "If I am permitted to live, I will
devote my life to the spiritual work of the Creator." For the next 73
years he did. . . .[1]
Well, as I read
the texts that John Fetzer and I were both raised with, he was doing mirror
image opposite work to that of the Creator.
More accurately, he was following every biblically forbidden spiritual
practice as well as the “Thou Shalt have no other gods before me” from the 10
Commandments. What led him that
way? Was it an excuse to him that his
mother once confessed to having visited a fortune teller? Ironically, my own mother once confessed that
to me. There was a time in her post
Seventh Day Adventist years that I was dismayed to find her with a Ouija
board. These were religious practices
condemned by the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
They were also clearly condemned by Scriptures.
Is there Seventh
Day Adventist fault in these deviations from the faith? Maybe.
I’m reading into the Fetzer experience as outlined by biographer Brian
C. Wilson that Fetzer equated some of his own “spiritualism” to Ellen G. White,
the prophetess of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Maybe there was
far too much emphasis in the Seventh Day Adventist Church on the writings and
“visions” of Ellen G. White and too little on the plain wording of Scripture. I am thinking that I remember little emphasis
on Deuteronomy 18 that contained an explicit list of spiritual practices
forbidden to the Israelites as they entered the land that the Lord took from
others for pursuing those practices.
Here is the express language taken from the King James version of the
bible. It reads just about the same way
in every other version:
When thou art
come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to
do after the abominations of those nations.
There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his
daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of
times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar
spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
For all that do these things are an
abomination unto the Lord : and because of
these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
Thou shalt be
perfect with the Lord thy God.
For these
nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto
diviners : but as for thee, the Lord thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.
The Seventh Day
Adventists also, following the teachings of Ellen G. White, characterized many
of the Gnostics as the true Christians -- the “true church” that went
underground for a period of 1,260 years.
I heard this teaching many, many times during my youthful years in the
Fort Wayne, Indiana Seventh Day Adventist Church. Thankfully, we also sang “give me the Bible,
holy message shining.” Fortunately for
me, that part stuck. There were others,
like David Koresh, John Fetzer, and others now deeply ensconced in the occult
who interpreted things very differently or in the characterizing the Roman
Catholic Church as the Beast of Revelation, missed other scriptural indicators
of what the real beast would eventually bring forth -- as foretold in
Revelation Chapter 9, the rise of the occult.
Another sad indicator of that was a site for a former Seventh Day
Adventist I found on the internet. She
had formed her own church devoted to radical feminism, goddess(es) and
all. She calls herself “Katia” and is now
openly into all forms of the occult, radical feminism, Eckart Tolle. Here is something she wrote:
I went to Seventh Day Adventist schools and
boarding schools during all my childhood and teen years. They teach a love for
the Cathars big time. Our elementary school teachers made us read stories and
color pictures of Waldensian and Albigensian children walking perilous mountain
cliffs, hiding from the Inquisition on pain of death, carefully writing out
copies of the Bible.
I left the Adventist church as a young adult
because they don’t acknowledge the Divine Feminine, but I still have a friendly
attitude toward some of their doctrine. I have been studying the Gnostic
Cathars more in depth than usual lately and found some old notes I made last
year. I realized the Adventists have a lot in common with the Cathars — who
were called Waldensians and Albigensians in their day, only the Roman Catholic
Church called them Cathars, originally a derogatory term meaning “purists” or
“pure ones.”
Here is what I jotted down last year when I
realized the uncanny similarity between the SDA’s and Cathars / Waldensians /
Albigensians. The SDA founder, Ellen G. White, visited the Cathar / Waldensian
valleys area in Europe (Italy and France border area) twice in 1885 to 1887
while she was in Europe. Chapter 4 of her famous book, The Great Controversy,
is about these cool heretics. Adventists really really honor heretics!, good
for them.[2]

[KENNETH] BETTS AND WOOD WERE POLICE OFFICER MENTORS IN THE YOUTH EXPLORER PROGRAM FOR KIDS WHO WANT TO ONE DAY BECOME LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS. IT WAS INSIDE THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM THAT THEY ARE ACCUSED OF FINDING THEIR VICTIMS.
As FOX reports, Wood pled guilty to a federal attempted enticement charges and is scheduled to be sentenced May 28. Betts pled guilty to federal enticement and and child pornography charges and will be sentenced May 23, although that date could be delayed.
Betts struck a plea deal which was going to allow him to only serve 10-15 years, but U.S. District Judge David Hale said this sentence was too lenient and issued a continuance for sentencing to get Betts to serve more time.
None of these charges would have happened had the victims not sought out lawsuits as the department had no interest in pursuing their own—allowing this abuse to go on for years.
The original accusations were followed by lawsuits with one lawyer reportedly representing five victims abused by officers inside the Explorers program. Now, that number has jumped to 15 victims.

Not only did parents accuse the police officers’ superiors of doing nothing about their criminal complaints, the Police Officers’ union also began to stonewall, filing a lawsuit in an attempt to PREVENT investigators from interviewing more cops. As TFTP reported:

Italian Bishops Enact Policies to Self-Police on Sex Abuse Cases
The Police will be called ONLY when a Catholic Bishop deems it necessary, NOT when criminal allegations are made! Based upon the international church's lengthy, infamous history of covering up and obstructing justice when it comes to pedophile priest sex abuse crimes, this does not bode well for the victims of abuse. Clearly, the policy of "transferring offending priests" out of the area of their crimes and into other unsuspecting dioceses will continue to be a mode of operation for the RCC.

WALSH: This Is How The Ancient Church Dealt With Deviant Priests

As we hear news that the New York attorney general is opening an investigation into all Catholic dioceses in the state, and that New Jersey will soon be making a similar announcement, I think it could be worthwhile to consider how the Church used to deal with the sexual deviants in its ranks. Obviously, its modern strategy has been to ignore the problem, cover it up, downplay it, and rationalize it. This has brought about the results any rational person would expect.
But once all of the dirty and terrible truths have been dragged into the light, and all of the predators and cover-up artists have been exposed, what can the Church do differently to prevent a renewed proliferation of sexual sin and degeneracy? For the solution, we need only turn to St. Basil the Great, a 4th century bishop and Doctor of the Church. This was his prescription:
"Any cleric or monk who seduces young men or boys, or who is apprehended in kissing or in any shameful situation, shall be publicly flogged and shall lose his clerical tonsure. Thus shorn, he shall be disgraced by spitting in his face, bound in iron chains, wasted by six months of close confinement, and for three days each week put on barley bread given him toward evening. Following this period, he shall spend a further six months living in a small segregated courtyard in custody of a spiritual elder, kept busy with manual labor and prayer, subjected to vigils and prayers, forced to walk at all times in the company of two spiritual brothers, never again allowed to associate with young men."
To review, St. Basil's recommendations followed these six steps:
1) Shave the offender's head.
2) Publicly beat him.
3) Bind him in chains and spit on him.
4) Confine him for six months and allow him only to eat bread three times a week.
5) Sentence him to another six months of manual labor and intense spiritual direction.
6) Forbid him from ever again having unsupervised interactions with boys or young men.
Ideally, the child rapists would not need to be dealt with this way because they would be turned over to civil authorities and put in prison. But those who have engaged in deviant sexual behavior that would not be considered a crime by law, or that cannot be prosecuted for whatever reason, should be subjected to The St. Basil Solution (as I will now call it). The two priests in Chicago who were arrested for performing sex acts on each other in public should be the first to the flogging post.
Of course I realize this will never happen. The current pope would be more likely to chain and flog priests who forget to recycle than priests who have sex on a city street in broad daylight. But perhaps we can look at these old school methods of justice and learn a thing or two. Primarily, we can learn that Christians need not be limp, pathetic, little weaklings in the face of evil. It is okay, even necessary, to meet evil with sternness and force. Sin should be punished and obliterated — not, as Pope Francis likes to say, "accompanied."
But I will be told that Christians have moved past the ferocity and intolerance of the Middle Ages. Indeed we have. Now maybe it's time we take a few steps back toward it.

We have gone from seeing the smug, arrogant and pious assertions from senior level former Obama-era intelligence officials predicting the fall of President Trump for "collusion," to weeks later, after Robert Mueller determined after a nearly two year investigation, there was no conspiring or coordination between the Trump campaign in 2016 and Russia, to now finger pointing, preemptively admitting to "mistakes," and brutally turning on each other in an attempt to scurry away from the noose tightening around their necks.
Say what you will about Robert Mueller, and much of the criticisms are justified, but he is a prosecutor that understands that it is never a good idea to jump onto a sinking ship. His report, while still taking backhanded stabs at President Trump, reflected his survival instincts when he stated throughout his report, multiple times, no U.S. citizen, including President Trump and his campaign officials, "conspired" or "coordinated" with Russia to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.

Once Donald Trump was elected as President, senior level officials from a variety of intelligence agencies understood their actions prior to the 2016 presidential election would come under the microscope, and rushed to create a false narrative, frame and trap Trump campaign officials in an attempt to overthrow a duly elected President.
This is why former FBI official James Comey, after Trump terminated him, leaked information to a friend, admitting the purpose was to have that information leaked to media outlets to "prompt" the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate the Trump campaign and possible collusion with Russia to interfere in a U.S. election.

You bring up a very interesting point regarding "all things Roman were Christianized." Although I have studied the melding of Roman Pagan beliefs, practices, holidays, etc. with some aspects of "Christianity," I somehow missed the connection of the rampant pagan sexual perversion of ancient Rome to the RCC. Although "OFFICIAL" Catholic doctrine and dogma condemns homosexuality as sin, it is well known that most Catholics do not follow Catholic catechism in their own personal lives. Today, the RCC is shifting towards an open policy of accepting homosexuality as a "God created them that way" dogma. One outspoken priest by the name of James Martin has stated that his pro-homosexual message "has the blessings of the Vatican."

This is standard operating procedure for how the RCC handles sex abuse cases.
First, they DO NOT report sex abuse offenses to the legal authorities.
Next, they offer victims and their immediate family pay offs for silence, telling the family the "church" will be damaged if this crime becomes known to the public.
Next, if the offenses become too numerous, they typically TRANSFER the offending predators to other Dioceses, where they are put in positions where they can "minister" to young people.
If an official investigation somehow ensues, the Diocese ALWAYS refuses to cooperate with law enforcement authorities.
Only by the use of specific court ordered subpoenas will the Diocese release any files pertaining to a case in question. A person with reasonable intelligence is forced to wonder if the files in question were cleansed, or purged, prior to the court ordered subpoenas being issued.
If the investigation continues, the RCC hierarchy then uses intense pressure via well placed Catholics in the community to drop the case.
If the case is successfully prosecuted, there is often a price to pay for the incorruptible officials that worked on the case.

Well, I was surprised to read the references to Michael Talbot whom I have known personally for the past 48 plus years. I purchased his office furniture when I opened my law office in Downtown Detroit in 1976. I still have one of the two loveseats sitting in my basement office here in our house. Michael Talbot's close connections would not have been to Saginaw, but more to the Archdiocese of Detroit. I became acquainted with Michael Talbot when we were both college students and I was then working a Executive Assistant to the Mayor of HIghland Park, Michigan starting in late 1970. Regarding 1 Samuel 28:
The episode in the Old Testament about Saul and the witch of Endor raises a number of questions, chief of which is this: Can God use a means which he had expressly forbidden elsewhere? Other questions include: Did Samuel actually return from the dead? Did the witch successfully do this? Was the entire appearance a deception?
Let’s begin with a bit of background. The Philistines had come down to within around five miles of where Saul was staying. This was a serious incursion. As Mary Evans notes, “This was no minor battle to be carried out between the standing armies but a major show down between the two nations.”
By this point Saul had well and truly lost God’s favour. Indeed, God had departed from him. His kingdom was taken away from him and he was rejected as king (1 Sam. 13:14; 15:28). Because of his sin and rebellion, Saul was no longer the brave king he used to be but a fearful man: “When Saul saw the Philistine army, he was afraid; terror filled his heart” (v. 5).
In the past he had consulted with God before going into battle (eg., 1 Sam. 14:37), and he thinks he can continue to do so. But after being met with only divine silence, he takes matters into his own hands: “He inquired of the Lord, but the Lord did not answer him by dreams or Urim or prophets. Saul then said to his attendants, ‘Find me a woman who is a medium, so I may go and inquire of her’” (vv. 6-7).
Consulting spiritists and mediums, and engaging in necromancy (communicating with the dead), are clearly forbidden in Scripture (Exodus 22:18; Leviticus 19:31; Deuteronomy 18:9-13 – and later on, Isaiah 8:19-20). Saul knows this full well: earlier he had even “expelled the mediums and spiritists from the land” (v. 3).
Indeed, he had been told by Samuel not long ago: “For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has rejected you as king” (1 Sam 15:23). Yet here he is trying to get divine guidance through Samuel by means of divination!
You may well be familiar with the rest of the story. Saul sneaks past the Philistines incognito to consult the diviner at Endor. Samuel does indeed appear, but not to answer his questions about the battle. Instead he further rebukes him, just as he had done when he was alive. Samuel gives Saul some real bad news:
“Why do you consult me, now that the Lord has departed from you and become your enemy? The Lord has done what he predicted through me. The Lord has torn the kingdom out of your hands and given it to one of your neighbors—to David. Because you did not obey the Lord or carry out his fierce wrath against the Amalekites, the Lord has done this to you today. The Lord will deliver both Israel and you into the hands of the Philistines, and tomorrow you and your sons will be with me. The Lord will also give the army of Israel into the hands of the Philistines” (vv. 16-18).
Sure enough, 24 hours later Saul is dead. Given that those who commit the sin of divination and mess around with the occult are to be sentenced to death (Lev. 20:6, 27), there is some divine justice at work here. Saul’s downward spiral finally comes to a sad and tragic end.
But what about the appearance of Samuel? As Evans notes, “this whole account is, probably intentionally, shrouded in mystery. Was the woman a fraud or did she genuinely have some kind of clairvoyant skill? Was it really the dead Samuel coming back to life, or was it the appearance of an evil spirit or some kind of a trick? Was the woman’s recognition of Saul based on her own insight or did his disguise drop for a second? Did Saul really hear from Samuel or just deceive himself into hearing all the things that he knew and feared?”
So what do we make of all this? Was this a genuine appearance by Samuel? It seems that it indeed was. But it was God calling the shots here, for his own divine purposes. The diviner in this case was merely a foil in the bigger plans of Yahweh.
Walter Kaiser says that there was an authentic appearance of the dead here, but “one that did not result from her witchcraft. Instead, it was God’s final means of bringing a word to a king who insisted on going his own way. . . . Our conclusion is that God allowed Samuel’s spirit to appear to give Saul one more warning about the evil of his ways.”
Norman Geisler also thinks this is the best option: “the witch did not bring up Samuel from the dead, but God Himself intervened in the witch’s tent to rebuke Saul for his sin. . . . The miracle was not performed through the witch, but in spite of her.”
So Saul was fully responsible for making this terrible choice, and he met his just deserts as a result. It is a sober warning about seeking God by unapproved means. Robert Bergen puts it this way: “The Torah prohibits necromancy not because it is a hoax but because it promotes reliance on supernatural guidance from some source other than the Lord.”
Indeed, this entire episode also speaks to us today. Far too many folks are dabbling in the occult and spiritism today. The Bible tells us to avoid all this like the plague. It does not deny that such things can actually work, but that they are harmful and to be avoided at all cost.
As David Firth notes, “the OT only condemns necromancy; it never questions its possible effectiveness.” Or as Bill Arnold comments, “Israel’s ban on magic was a unique characteristic of the nation’s overarching worldview. . . .
Significantly, however, the Old Testament ban on magic is not based on the assertion that magic is ineffective. On the contrary, magic is banned precisely because it does work.”
Let me conclude with the timely words of Mary Evans: “Saul’s excursion into forbidden occult territory brought him no joy, no reassurance and indeed no benefit at all but only further despair. There is a warning here which it seems the author intends to stand.”

'Revolution’ In Poland As Nation Confronts Priestly Abuse!

WARSAW, Poland (AP) — One victim spoke out, and then another, and another. A statue of a pedophile priest was toppled in Gdansk, put back by his supporters, and finally dismantled for good. A feature film about clerical abuse was a box office hit.
Poland thought it had started confronting the problem of clerical abuse and its cover-up by church authorities. Then a bombshell came: A documentary with victim testimony so harrowing it has forced an unprecedented reckoning with pedophile priests in one of Europe’s most deeply Catholic societies.
Poland’s bishops acknowledged this week they face a crisis and made a rare admission that they have failed to protect the young. It’s also a crisis for the country’s conservative government, which is closely aligned with the Catholic Church, putting the ruling Law and Justice party on the defensive before Sunday’s European Parliament vote in Poland.

Before its release on May 11, ruling party leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski had described discussion about clerical abuse as a “brutal attack” on the church and portrayed the LGBT rights movement as the key threat to children in the country. But the revelations in the documentary have pushed the party to face up to the cleric abuse crisis. It has vowed stiffer penalties for pedophilia, although its leaders have avoided pointing a finger at the church specifically.
Across the country, the film has triggered soul searching and raised questions, including whether the same bishops who moved perpetrators from parish to parish for years will be capable of cleansing the church. Some wonder if Poland, which is already being reshaped by economic growth and secularization, could eventually follow Ireland, where the abuse crisis broke the Catholic Church’s hold on society.
Crowdfunded and free on YouTube, “Tell No One” has gotten more than 21 million views so far and has prompted a new wave of survivors to come forward. About 150 people have contacted a foundation helping victims of clerical abuse, “Have No Fear.” One was an 86-year-old man who was molested when he was 6 and had never told anyone until now.
“He finally understood that he is not alone,” said Anna Frankowska, a lawyer for the organization who took his call.
“A huge tsunami has come, and there is no way this issue can be swept under the rug now,” she said. “It has to be addressed.”
Michal Wojciechowicz, a 54-year-old abused in his youth by a prominent Solidarity-era priest, the late Rev. Henryk Jankowski, sees a “revolution” whose time has come thanks to clerical sexual abuse revelations elsewhere as well as reforms by Pope Francis.
“The Catholic Church had power over people for centuries. We needed to wait for the right time, and this is the right time,” said Wojciechowicz, a writer. “The most important thing is that people are now willing to listen.”
The church has played an inspirational role in Poland, keeping its language and culture alive during a long era of occupation and foreign rule and supporting the anti-communist Solidarity movement in the 1980s. To generations, the church has been an advocate for freedom and a source of solace under hardship, and to many, Catholic faith and traditions are synonymous with Polishness itself.
A Polish pope who is now a saint, John Paul II, was a moral authority and a political hero for opposing communism, but even his legacy is now in question due to his failure to tackle clerical abuse.
Recognition of the problem came slowly at first. A book published six years ago by a Dutch journalist had the accounts of Polish victims and five years ago ”Have No Fear ” was founded to offer victims counseling and legal help. But the last eight months have brought the most dramatic milestones. A feature film about corrupt, abusive priests, “Clergy,” was a blockbuster after its September release.

Then in December, Barbara Borowiecka, 62, told Polish media about being abused when she was 11 by Jankowski, a prominent prelate in Lech Walesa’s anti-communist Solidarity movement in Gdansk, where a monument of him stood.
Borowiecka was encouraged to tell her story by another priest who brought her back to the church after a nearly five-decade break. Before his death in 2016, he made her promise to publicly name her aggressor when she was strong enough.
Shaken by Borowiecka’s story, three activists from Warsaw — Konrad Korzeniowski, Rafal Suszek i Michal Wojcieszczuk — traveled to Gdansk in February and in the middle of the night put a rope around the Jankowski monument and pulled it down.
“There was something in Borowiecka’s story that chilled me to the bone. It was shocking. The length of her isolation, the embarrassment she had to feel, that her own mother didn’t believe her,” said Korzeniowski, a computer programmer. “Even though I was aware of what is happening in the church with pedophilia, it put a face to it, and I was crying.”
They placed children’s underwear, shoes and white lace church vestments on the toppled statue to symbolize his victims’ suffering, then called police to turn themselves in. They also accused Jankowski, the church and society at large for remaining indifferent to his crimes and the venomous anti-Semitism he spread in his sermons.
Poles awoke to news of the toppled statue as the Vatican began hosting a landmark meeting on clerical sex abuse.
Two days later, the priest’s supporters, shipyard workers in Gdansk, re-erected the statue. During a Mass in his former church, the parish priest recalled the good done by Jankowski, who died in 2010. Pressured to act, the city dismantled the statue.
Borowiecka was touched and incredulous that three strangers risked prison — they have been charged with “insulting a monument” though no trial date has been set — to give her the relief she that feels now that the statue is gone. She met them in Warsaw this month, a warm encounter that sealed new friendships.
Days later, “Tell No One” came out, showing victims psychologically destroyed even in adulthood by their childhood abuse, priests caught by hidden cameras confessing to wrongdoing and convicted offenders still working with children.
Sekielski, the director, has been taken aback by the response, which has included new investigations and at least one priest asking to be laicized.
“A mental revolution is happening in front of our eyes. Victims are being called victims and perpetrators called perpetrators,” he told the weekly magazine Polityka.
Suszek welcomed Poland’s new awareness of clerical abuse but disagreed a revolution is underway, saying there is no mass of rebels and fearing instead a wave of emotion that could easily die down.
“If you are about to start a revolution, then you’d better have a plan for the aftermath,” Suszek said. “And nobody has a clear-cut idea about how to deal with the void that would inevitably come about when you remove the institutional church from the public sphere.”

Many Christians assume that Martin Luther King was a Bible believing Baptist preacher. MLK has been elevated to practically OT prophet status, with literally thousands of streets, free ways, parks, bridges, etc., etc named after him.

Today's lead story on the Drudge Report makes the claim that, according to FBI tapes, MLK had as many as 40 extra marrital affairs. It also makes an even more shocking claim; MLK was present during a rape and "laughed" about it.
This may all seem to be outrageous, but, could it be true? For one, MLK's close friend and contemporary, Rev. Ralph Abernathy wrote extensively in his 1989 book "And The Walls Came Tumblin Down" that King had numerous affairs, even detailing that he "had" two women the night before his assassination in Memphis. Abernathy was viciously attacked by members of the Civil Rights movement for writing about MLK in such revealing ways, but Abernathy always responded that to "leave out this aspect of his life would detract from the truth of the movement."
Was MLK a "Bible believer?" King did not believe in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. He rejected the miracles of Scripture, stating that "such things are simply scientifically impossible." He denied the Deity of Christ, and "sincerely doubted the Virgin Birth." He rejected the "inherency of Scripture" stating that the Bible is was "based upon mythology, probably from the Greeks." He wrote about his own "Baptism" stating that he "had no idea what it was about," and only wanted to "keep up" with his sister, who was also getting Baptized.
King did not preach the Gospel of Christ. Rather, he preached a social gospel based upon Black Liberation Theology, which has its roots firmly planted in Marxism. There is no doubt that King was a gifted orator, but, he was also a moral degenerate.
Whenever the Christ rejecting world put anyone upon a pedestal, that should be the first clue that something is drastically wrong with the picture they are framing!

Philadelphia, PA — For those who have been keeping up with the child sex abuse scandal in the Catholic church that erupted late last year in Pennsylvania, many have been wondering how it was allowed to go on for so long without anyone getting charged or arrested. Now, it appears that we have the answer—the POLICE were complicit. But it wasn’t just in Pennsylvania, we are also learning it was elsewhere in places like Buffalo, New York.
“Priests were raping little boys and girls, and the men of God who were responsible for them not only did nothing; they hid it all,” according to the report of the Pennsylvania grand jury.
And POLICE went along with it!
During a grand jury report into the child sex abuse by priests in Pennsylvania last year, the state Attorney General, Josh Shapiro provided insight into how priests were allowed to go on for decades preying on children. He singled out the two groups responsible for covering up the crimes of the church.
One of the groups named by the AG was the Catholic Church hierarchy like the archbishops and cardinals who reacted to allegations of child rape by simply transferring the priest to a new church or failing to act at all. The other group Shapiro named was law enforcement, who he says acted in tandem with the abusive priests to keep their horrific habits from ever reaching the public eye.
“The abuse scarred every diocese,” he said. “The cover-up was sophisticated. The church protected the institution at all costs.”
Not only did the church protect pedophile priests, but the investigation revealed a “failure of law enforcement,” according to Shapiro.
According to the investigation, at the same time the church was covering up the abuse by protecting the pedophiles, it also had assistance from police or district attorneys who aided in covering it up as well. Sometimes this aid was in the form of looking the other way, while other times, it involved actively thwarting investigations.
One District Attorney was even caught on record deliberately blocking investigations into the rape of young boys by priests. In 1964, Beaver County district attorney Robert Masters was presented with evidence that a Catholic priest was raping several young boys. However, he blocked the investigation to prevent “unfavorable publicity.”
“I have, in order to prevent unfavorable publicity, halted all investigations into similar incidents with other young boys,” Masters wrote in an Aug. 4, 1964, letter to Pittsburgh Diocese Bishop Vincent Leonard.
In the case in Buffalo, the AG Letitia James is fighting to hold someone accountable for what they are referring to as a conspiracy between child raping priests and law enforcement to actively cover up the abuse.
As the Buffalo News reported this week:

Cops here were under orders not to arrest Catholic priests but, instead, to report their crimes to the local bishop who could then continue the dirty work of covering it up. In order to understand the original purpose of the FBI's surveillance of MLK, one has to go back in time and try to understand the concerns the government had regarding MLK and the message he was proclaiming. MLK was preaching a Marxist message via his Black Liberation Theology, and many Marxists had in fact infiltrated his movement. MLK himself was believed to be a Communist by none other than the Communist Party USA. Communism back then, as it should have been, was considered to be an intense danger because they did infiltrate into all facets of society. Subversion through infiltration was a method used by them in order to gain control of political and social movements, media (including the entertainment industry), academia, etc. With its history of intense brutality that had the blood of over 100 million innocent victims on their collective hands, it is and was a serious threat to our, or any, society.
Also, although in the BEGINNING, King proclaimed a "non violent" message, King changed his message towards a far more radical one in the latter part of his career in response to the VIOLENT message of Malcolm X. King was losing many of his followers to Malcolm X ... precisely why he changed his message to "whatever it takes."
Another point; back in the 1960's, King typically would announce that he would be appearing in a city in order to deliver a speech, etc. Early on, King typically attracted big crowds (not always so later in his career). In those early days, time and again, after King's message of "non-violence," looting and riots were commonplace, so much so, that city leaders began to attempt to block his appearances. I know this to be true first hand. That very thing happened in my own hometown.
Also, King had originally supported U S involvement in the Viet Nam War, but then switched to the protest side. The government was convinced that the anti-war protest movement had been heavily infiltrated with Communist agents that were attempting to start a revolution and they suspected that King's movement was being manipulated to serve their purposes.
I write all of this to point out that it was not King's moral degeneracy that was the focus of the FBI's covert investigation, but rather, his apparent connections to Communist agents.
Incidentally, who was it that signed the authorization for the FBI to conduct covert surveillance of MLK? It was none other than the Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy.

Whenever we read or hear anything, the source always needs to be considered. For example: if a news source is known to be radically atheistic, their "commentary" on anything to do with Christian theology would be certainly biased and would not be a credible source. I doubt taking the word of a drug pusher on whether or not a drug is addictive would make for a wise decision either.
Regarding your example, the Daily Beast was not stating "1+1 = 2," they were referring to THEIR take on historical events, and they were doing so from a radically liberal, biased point of view.

Thank you! I have long suspected that the "Image to the Beast" is the image of the "whole earth" itself. Earth worship is a major destination of the New Age Movement. It crosses a clear biblical line as set forth most clearly in the Book of Revelation, Chapter 14:

I take no offense, and I hope you don't, but you have totally missed the point that I was making. Thank you for your concern, but, being a person that is EXTREMELY well read, I have no fear of not being, as you say, "strong enough of mind" to "look at what others may have to say." By God's grace, my authority is God's Word, which provides a foundation upon which all matters are judged. With that, I have no "fear" whatsoever in ANYTHING I read.

I converted to Orthodoxy after several years of study on my own, and before that read the Bible straight through on three occasions, on each time in only three or four months doing nothing else. The FBI’s War on Civil Rights Leaders

On March 8, 1971 an anti-war activist group, the Citizens’ Commission to Investigate the FBI, broke into an FBI office in Media, Pennsylvania where they discovered a cache of classified documents, many bearing the cryptic code “COINTELPRO.”
They leaked the documents to the press and on March 24, 1971, The Washington Post ran a cover story on the vast program initiated by the FBI in 1956 to neutralize suspicious persons and organizations. Although initially formed to target the Communist Party U.S.A., it was quickly expanded to include a wide range of groups considered “subversive.” No segment had been as central to COINTELPRO operations as civil rights activists. A wider scope of the FBI’s actions, however, was not known until Congressional hearings five years later. What came to light was exceptionally chilling—seeped in its own racism, without any checks or balances, the FBI devoted more resources to harming the Civil Rights movement than any other task in its purview.
Hoover’s behavior is often viewed as paranoid and even exceptional, but he operated with the full sanction of the wider state. During the civil rights movement, three U.S. presidents: John Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, and Richard Nixon all supported Hoover’s efforts which were codified to “disrupt, misdirect, discredit, and neutralize” targeted organizations. This would be achieved through various and sundry tools, including illegal activities. COINTELPRO used informants, agent provocateurs, infiltrators, legal and illegal wiretaps, break-ins, false correspondence, and “bad-jacketing,” which was the act of making a legitimate member of a group appear to be a collaborator with the state. Psychological warfare included calling the parents of young civil rights activists to inform them that their children had been murdered or kidnapped.
FBI agents worked with journalists to plant stories in order to discredit leadership and organizations. Across the country, the Bureau collaborated with local police to repress targeted groups. Sharing resources and intelligence, activists were arrested, fired from jobs, expelled from schools and lost business contracts. COINTELPRO even used switchboard operators and postal workers to spy on citizens, with or without court order.

Though there was a special interest in civil rights groups, the FBI used its extensive resources to spy on and antagonize a wide range of communities. The Bureau established categories for various targets, which included everything from the anti-war and women’s liberation movements, to socialists, black nationalists, student groups, journalists, intellectuals, non-violent integrations and revolutionary nationalists. They were separated into the “Agitator Index,” the “Rabble Rouser Index,” and the “Security Index.”
After King’s assassination in April 1968, the Black Freedom Movement took a turn toward the more radical permutations of Black Power, and no organization evoked Hoover’s rage and interest more than the Black Panther Party. Five months after the King assassination, Hoover called the Panthers "the greatest threat to the internal security of the country.” In internal memos, he encouraged “hard-hitting” ideas from agents to destroy the Party. The Bureau submitted anti-Panther ghost-written articles to the press, planted false correspondence between the Panthers and other organizations and used a classic “divide and conquer” tactic to foment hostility between the Panthers a black nationalist group, the US Organization, in Los Angeles. This last effort culminated in actual shoot-outs, multiple beatings, at least one bombing, and four Panthers dead in Southern California by 1969. With excitement over the violence, the San Diego FBI office submitted in a report:
“Shootings, beatings, and a, high degree of unrest continues to prevail in the ghetto area of southeast San Diego. Although no specific counterintelligence action can be credited with contributing to this overall situation, it is felt that a substantial amount of the unrest is directly attributable to this program.”
Hundreds of Panthers were stopped, harassed and arrested by the police across the country. Hoover explained that the, "purpose of counterintelligence action is to disrupt the BPP and it is immaterial whether facts exist to substantiate the charge.”
The effectiveness of COINTELPRO was overwhelming. Many organizations were destabilized with arrests, raids, break-ins, and killings. The most famous raid of the Panthers occurred in December 1969 in Chicago when a 14-man police raiding party killed two Panthers, Fred Hampton and Mark Clark. Several other Panthers were injured in the pre-dawn attack. Nationally, the Panthers insisted that the FBI and local police were involved in a conspiracy to destroy them. Hoover denied it. The magnitude of these coordinated activities, however, were not known until the 1976 congressional hearings.
Analysis of the COINTELPRO documents revealed that the overwhelming majority of targets were not tied to the Soviet Union or any foreign power. They included many non-violent black civil rights groups, but also organizations in other communities, including the Young Lords, the Brown Berets, the American Indian Movement, the National Lawyers Guild, and women’s liberation movement groups.
In 1976 the Select Committee to Study Governmental Operations with Respect to Intelligence Activities of the United States Senate, commonly referred to as the "Church Committee," released a detailed report that unveiled the magnitude of the FBI’s actions and the hubris with which it functioned. The Bureau had, “at times violated specific statutory prohibitions and infringed the constitutional rights of American citizens. The legal questions involved in intelligence programs were often not considered.” In part, it states:
Many of the techniques used would be intolerable in a democratic society even if all of the targets had been involved in violent activity, but COINTELPRO went far beyond that ... the Bureau conducted a sophisticated vigilante operation aimed squarely at preventing the exercise of First Amendment rights of speech and association….
The special attention to the Black Freedom movement is sobering. White supremacist groups like the Ku Klux Klan had files, but were significantly outnumbered by files on civil rights groups. There were only two files for right wing groups. For black nationalists, the Panthers represented 233 of 295, (79 percent) of all operations in that category. The Congressional hearings found that the FBI devoted less than 20 percent of its intelligence efforts to disrupt organized crime or to solve crimes related to bank robberies, murders, rapes and interstate theft. By contrast, more than half of all FBI targets were political organizations. The FBI was less concerned with actual criminal enterprises, like mob families, than with organizations and people who dared attempt to realize rights promised them legally.
Forty years after the Church Committee Hearings, few Americans are as universally celebrated as Dr. Martin L. King Jr. As we enter the King holiday on the last days of the Obama presidency, it is remarkable how many people, across ideological lines, continue to find utility in his wisdom. Conservatives like Sean Hannity and progressives like Melissa Harris Perry quote King alike. Just last year on Jan. 18, 2016, FBI Director James Comey met with journalists, FBI leadership and various government officials at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., to honor King’s life and legacy. “Special agents and intelligence analysts now visit the memorial during their training, where they study Dr. King as part of their curriculum.” The memorial, which opened in 2011, “serves as an example of constraint and oversight in the history of the FBI and Dr. King.” J. Edgar Hoover, however, may be turning over in his grave.
In the aftermath of the revelation of these sordid policies, COINTELPRO was officially dismantled, although similar surveillance efforts continue. Comey’s remarks suggest that the FBI views the program as a cautionary tale for forging a more professional agency not marred by such corruptive forces as racism. What is most instructive about this Orwellian tale, however, is the narrative of how one person (in this case Hoover) can be such a powerful force of institutionalized—and national—corruptive activity. With further attention, of course, we see that one person is rarely acting alone.

To fully understand the scope of what we are watching play out very publicly since President Trump ordered the declassification of relevant documents in regards to the actions of Obama-era high level intelligence officials before and after the 2016 presidential election, giving Attorney General Bill Barr the authority to gather information from a number of agencies and to decide how much can be declassified, we have to take a quick trip back to January 6, 2017.
The widely misrepresented Office of the Director of National Intelligence report titled "Background to “Assessing Russian Activities and Intentions in Recent US Elections”: The Analytic Process and Cyber Incident Attribution," where information from three intelligence agencies was collected and put into a report that was compiled by the Director of National Intelligence office.
The media, politicians and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton all misrepresented the report claiming it was the work and conclusion of 17 intelligence agencies, claiming they all found that Russia interfered int he 2016 election in order to help Donald Trump.
Months later, the New York Times and the Associated Press went back and put corrections on multiple stories, finally admitting that it was only three agencies, and the DNI issued the report.
On Page 6 of the 25 page report, it clearly stated the following:
This report includes an analytic assessment drafted and coordinated among The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), TheFederal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and The National Security Agency (NSA), which draws on intelligence information collected and disseminated by those three agencies...

Back to that Intelligence Community (IC) assessment. Notice that only one agency head from that IC report, former NSA Director Admiral Mike Rogers, is not all over social media and liberal cable newscomplaining, throwing a fit and basically freaking out?
Rogers served as director of the NSA, commander of the U.S. Cyber Command, and Central Security Service chief from April 2014 to May 2018. Rogers is the one that exposed the Obama administration's "702" illegal spying operation.

Roger's also visited the then President-Elect Trump on November 17, 2016, to inform him that Trump Tower was being tapped. Rogers did that without informing Obama, nor his own superior, former DNI James Clapper. The day after Rogers visited Trump, the Trump transition team was moved from Trump Tower.
At approximately the 2:50 minute mark below, former Federal prosecutor Joe diGenova highlights the part that Rogers played in exposing massive FISA abuses, calling Rogers a "hero."
That is why we are seeing Comey, Clapper and Brennan have very public nervous breakdowns over the upcoming IG report, the review by AG Barr into their actions, and the appointment of U.S. Attorney John Durham to investigate the investigators, yet we are not hearing one word of complaint from Admiral Rogers, because chances are, he will be their key witness into the illegal activities of the others.
BOTTOM LINE
After Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election, Barack Obamaordered the DNI report, where Comey, Brennan and Clapper set up the entire Russian collusion hoax, and Admiral Mike Rogers made sure there was a trail to follow to prove it.
That entire January 2017 DNI report is compromised and they all know it is about to become public knowledge. Those of us that have been reporting on the corrupt actions of the upper echelon of multiple intelligence agencies under Obama, to which the media and others claimed was just a "conspiracy," predicted this would be a big deal, but even we may have underestimated just how big a deal this is going to be.
These men should be on suicide watch because they are about to be publicly exposed.

18 Ways Julian Assange Changed The World

Julian Assange is a dick.
It’s important that you understand that.
Assange and WikiLeaks revealed the American military’s war crimes, the American government’s corruption and the American corporate media’s pathetic servile flattery to the power elite.
So, if you’re a member of our ruling class, you would view those as textbook examples of dickery.
In a moment I’m going to list all the ways Julian Assange changed the world...
by being a dick.
In an evolved and fully realized society, the oligarchy would see Assange as a dangerous criminal (which they do), and the average working men and women would view him as justice personified (which they don’t). We would celebrate him even as the mass media told us to hope for his downfall—like a Batman or a Robin Hood or an Ozzy Osbourne (the early years, not the cleaning-dog-turds-off-his-carpet years).
But we are not evolved and this is not Gotham City and average Americans don’t root for the truth. Many Americans cheer for Assange’s imprisonment. They believe the corporate plutocratic talking points and yearn for the days when we no longer have to hear about our country’s crimes against humanity or our bankers’ crimes against the economy. Subconsciously they must believe that a life in which we’re tirelessly exploited by rich villains and know all about it thanks to the exhaustive efforts of an eccentric Australian is worse than one in which we’re tirelessly exploited by rich villains yet know nothing about it.
“Ignorance is bliss” is the meditative mantra of the United States of America.
Julian Assange has been arrested and is now locked away in British custody. The U.S. government wants to extradite him, regardless of the official version, for the crime of revealing our government’s crimes. Nearly every government on our third rock from the sun despises the man for bringing transparency to the process of ruling the unwashed masses. (The level of wash has, however, increased thanks to aggressive marketing campaigns from a variety of shampoo brands.)
It is politically inconvenient at this time for the screaming corporate news to remind our entire citizenry what exactly WikiLeaks has done for us. So you won’t see the following list of WikiLeaks’ accomplishments anywhere on your corporate airwaves—in the same way the mainstream media did not begin every report about Chelsea Manning’s trial with a rundown of the war crimes she helped reveal.
And Chelsea Manning’s most famous leak is arguably also WikiLeaks’ most famous leak, so it’ll top this list:
1) That would be the notorious Collateral Murder video, showing U.S. air crew gunning down unarmed Iraqi civilians with an enthusiasm that couldn’t be matched by an eight year-old winning a five-foot-tall stuffed animal at the county fair. They murdered between 12 and 18 innocent people, two of them Reuters journalists.
Zero people have been arrested for the collateral murders. Yet Julian Assange has been arrested for revealing them.
2) WikiLeaks brought us the Guantanamo Bay “Camp Delta Standard Operating Procedures”—showing that many of the prisoners held on the U.S. military detention facility were completely innocent, and that some were hidden from Red Cross officials. (Because when you’re torturing innocent people, you kinda want to do that in peace and quiet, away from prying eyes. It’s very easy to get distracted, and then you lose your place and have to start all over again.)
None of the soldiers torturing innocent people at Gitmo have been arrested for it. Yet Julian Assange has been arrested for revealing it.
3) Not content with revealing only war crimes, WikiLeaks in 2008 came out with the secret bibles of Scientology, which showed that aliens, um, run the world or … aliens are inside all of us or … aliens give us indigestion. I can’t really remember.
But no one has ever been arrested for perpetrating that nutbag cult. Yet Julian Assange has for revealing it.
Many people believe WikiLeaks has unveiled only crimes of the American government, but that’s completely false. The U.S. corporate media doesn’t want average Americans to understand that WikiLeaks has upped the level of transparency around the world.
4–9) WikiLeaks posted videos of Tibetan dissidents in China fighting back, videos which were not allowed to be viewed in China. They revealed the Peru oil scandal, and that Russia was spying on its citizens’ cell phones, and the Minton Report on toxic dumping in Africa, and the Syria Files—showing the inner workings of the Syrian government. And WikiLeaks displayed to the global audience a secret Australian supreme court gag order that stopped the Australian press from reporting on a huge bribery scandal that involved the central bank and international leaders.
Assange is hated by governments around the world. As much as they may like transparency, when it comes to other countries (specifically the United States), they don’t want their own particular pile of shit on full display. It’s kinda like when most people laugh heartily after an up-skirt photo of a celebrity is published in the tabloids, but at the same time, none of us want up-skirt photos of us all over the web. (I know I don’t because I haven’t shaved up there since Carter was in office.)
As far as I know, none of the political figures involved in these scandals have gone to prison for participating in them. Yet Julian Assange has for revealing them.
10) Let’s not forget the Iraq War logs—hundreds of thousands of documents relating to America’s illegal invasion of Iraq, which we called a “war,” but I think a war needs to have two sides. Iraq’s elite Republican guard turned out to be three guys and a donkey … and the donkey didn’t even have good aim.
So far as I can tell, no one committing the war crimes evidenced in the Iraq War logs has been locked up for them. Yet Julian Assange has for revealing them.
11) WikiLeaks showed us the highly secretive Bilderberg Group meeting reports. The Bilderberg Group is made up of incredibly powerful men and women who get together and decide how to rule over all of us street people, all the while sitting on thrones made from the bones of the babies of nonbelievers. They’re often accused of being lizard people, but really they’re just regular ol’ sociopaths with lizard skin they purchased from a plastic surgeon in Malibu for half a million dollars.
I don’t think anyone from the Bilderberg Group is being tortured in solitary confinement right now. Yet Julian Assange is for revealing who they are.
12) The Barclays Bank tax avoidance scheme netted Barclays one billion pounds a year.
While it was ordered to pay 500 million pounds in lost taxes, no one was arrested for that theft from citizens. Yet Julian Assange was for revealing it.
13) The Afghan War Diaries consisted of 92,000 documents related to our destruction of Afghanistan. They detailed friendly fire incidents and civilian casualties. According to WikiLeaks, the diaries showed that “When reporting their own activities U.S. Units are inclined to classify civilian kills as insurgent kills, downplay the number of people killed or otherwise make excuses for themselves.”
It’s tough to read this without being floored at the comedy routine that our military actions have become. I picture this scenario happening every day in Afghanistan:
U.S. Soldier #1: This guy we just killed was an insurgent.
U.S. Soldier #2: How do you know?
U.S. Soldier #1: Because we killed him.
U.S. Soldier #2: Why’d we kill him?
U.S. Soldier #1: Because he’s an insurgent.
U.S. Soldier #2: How do you know?
U.S. Soldier #1: Because we killed him.
(Repeat until lightheaded.)
I am unaware of anyone locked away for these war crimes. Yet Julian Assange is locked away—for revealing them.
14) WikiLeaks also unveiled hundreds of thousands of U.S. State Department cables that showed more clearly than ever how our secretive government rules its empire with little to no input from the American people. Among many other things, the cables revealed Secretary of State Hillary Clinton ordered diplomats to spy on French, British, Russian and Chinese delegations at the U.N. Security Council. It also showed that Arab nations urged the U.S. to strike Iran, and much more.
Our ruling elite of course view this as a massive breach of national security. That’s understandable. But that world view comes into play only if you think the elites are the only ones who should know how our nation is run. To answer this question for yourself, do the following experiment. Pull up a photo of Donald Trump—a really close-up image of his blister-colored, bulbous face. Now, look at it intensely for five minutes. … After you’ve done that, tell me you want the ruling elite to be the only ones who know what the fuck is going on. Go ahead and try it—I’ll wait.
Ostensibly, the concept of our government was that the ruling class would be accountable to us, the average Americans. To you and me. To the workers and the number crunchers. To the single moms and the cashiers and the street sweepers and the fluffers on the porn sets. We’re supposed to vote based on our knowledge of how our government is functioning. But if the entirety of our representatives’ criminal behavior is labeled top secret for national security purposes, then we aren’t really an informed populace, are we?
So for all that was unveiled in the State Department cables, no one has been locked up. But Julian Assange has been for revealing them.
15) The Stratfor emails—this was millions of emails that showed how a private intelligence agency was used by its U.S. corporate and government clients to target activists and protesters.
No one at Stratfor is currently locked away. But Julian Assange is for revealing the truth.
16) Then there’s the trade deals. TPP, TISA and TTIP—all three amount to one of the largest attempts at corporate takeover ever conceived. All three were more secretive than Donald Trump’s taxes. Government officials and corporate lawyers and lobbyists wrote every word in private. Not even Congress saw the Trans-Pacific Partnership until very late in the process. The only organization to show the American citizens (and European citizens) some of those documents before they were made into law? WikiLeaks.
WikiLeaks made us aware of the corporate restraints that were about to be placed on us, and that’s what allowed activists to pressure Trump to pull out of the TPP.
None of those secretive corporate titans are imprisoned for their attempted power grab, but Julian Assange is for revealing it.
17) The DNC emails. I’ll explain for those of you who have been living in a cave that is itself inside a yellow-and-blue-makes-green sealed Tupperware container. The Democratic National Committee’s emails gave us proof concerning just how rigged the Democratic primaries really are. They proved the media was in bed with Hillary Clinton’s campaign. They even showed that Obama’s entire first-term cabinet was selected by Citibank. Yes, Citibank. (I would find it less offensive if his cabinet had been decided by a rabid raccoon, or the pus oozing out of Darth Vader’s face or Vince McMahon’s concussed frontal lobe.)
Whatever election integrity movement exists right now, it owes a lot to these revelations by WikiLeaks. After being sued over this matter, the DNC’s lawyers admitted in court that the DNC has no obligation to have a fair primary election. It’s their right to rig it.
But don’t try to get angry about this, because if you do, the CIA has a myriad ways to fuck up your life.
18) In 2017 WikiLeaks posted a trove of CIA documents called “Vault 7.” It detailed their capabilities, including remotely taking over cars, smart TVs, web browsers and smartphones.
After I found out about that, for a solid two weeks I thought, “Screw it. I’m going full Amish. One hundred percent. Let’s see the CIA hack my butter churn. Are they going to use backdoor software to get inside my rustic wooden bow-saw? Even if they could, what are they going to listen to—my conversation about how mee bobblin fraa redd up for rutschin’ ’round. Say no more! Schmunzla wunderbar!”
So is anybody at the CIA chained up for violating our privacy in every way possible? No, but Julian Assange is for revealing it.
By thrusting the truth upon the people of earth, WikiLeaks helped create movements worldwide like the Arab Spring and Occupy. And don’t forget, at first WikiLeaks and Assange were celebrated for their amazing work. In 2011 even Amnesty International hailed WikiLeaks as one of the Arab Spring catalysts. The Guardian said: “The year 2010 may well be remembered as a watershed year when activists and journalists used new technology to speak truth to power and, in so doing, pushed for greater respect for human rights. … It is also the year when repressive governments faced the real possibility that their days were numbered.”
So why have so many outlets and people turned against Assange and WikiLeaks?Because it turned out he wasn’t revealing only repressive Arab regimes. He also revealed U.S.-backed coups and war crimes around the world. He exposed the criminality and villainy of the American ruling elite.
Nothing published on WikiLeaks has ever been proven untrue. Compare that record to CNN, MSNBC, Fox News or any mainstream outlet. Assange has been nominated for multiple Nobel Peace Prizes, and nearly every respected media outlet has used source material from WikiLeaks in their reporting. Yet after all this and after seven years in captivity, the man who laid bare our criminal leaders and showed each one of us our chains is not receiving parades and accolades. He and those who helped him reveal the truth are the only ones endlessly punished.
We are all Julian Assange. As long as he’s imprisoned, we can never be free.

Bannon-Led Border Wall Group Unveils Mile-Long Segment On Private Property

A non-profit organization established to privately fund President Trump's southern border wall has completed nearly a mile-long section on private land near El Paso, Texas.
We Build The Wall - a nonprofit founded by triple amputee veteran Brian Kolfage, boasts former White House Chief Strategist and former Breitbart executive Steve Bannon as its director, while former Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach is the effort's general counsel.
According to Kolfage, the segment took JUST THREE DAYS to complete.
"It’s just under one mile long," he told the Daily Mail, adding "The wall starts at the Rio Grande River and goes up Mount Cristo Rey WHERE THE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS SAID IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO BUILD."
Kolfage said once everything is said and done, his organization will sell the wall, which cost between $6 million and $8 million to build, to the federal government for the bargain price of $1.
'We're going to sell this wall to them for $1 and release the title to them,' he said. 'We can't give the government the money because that's not the way it works. But we wanted to show the American people how to get this job done.' -Daily Mail

We Build The Wall announced in a series of social media posts on Monday that construction had commenced on the Texas landowner's property, days after a federal judge blocked President Trump from tapping into billions in Pentagon funds to begin work on two of the highest-priority wall segments - one spanning 46 miles in New Mexico, while the other 5-mile section was slated for Yuma, Arizona.
"This is the first time any private organization has built border wall on private land," said former Kansas Secretary of State and general counsel for the wall project, Kris Kobach, who told Fox & Friends on Monday that the project was undertaken due to the "ridiculously large gap" near Mount Cristo Rey which drug and human smugglers have been entering the United States. Kobach added that the Army Corps of Engineers had previously deemed the strip of land too rugged for fencing.
"It's amazing to me how crowdfunding can successfully raise a lot of money, and how many Americans care about this," Kobach told CNN.
Jeff Allen told CNN he owns the property where We Build the Wall's team is working, and he's excited to see it.
"They are doing an incredible job," he said. "I have fought illegals on this property for six years. I love my country and this is a step in protecting my country."
Daniel Garcia Salinas, the director of a nearby museum on the Mexican side of the border, told CNN the new wall went up rapidly over the weekend, changing the horizon behind the Museo Casa de Adobe.
Garcia said that when he had left the museum Friday afternoon there was no fencing there. By Saturday morning, he said, portions of new wall had been constructed.
"They moved very quickly," he said. -CNN
Bannon, meanwhile, told CNN on Monday that the stretch of private wall connects two 21-mile segments of existing fence.
"Border Patrol told us it's the No. 1 most important miles to close. The tough terrain always left it off the government list," said Bannon. "And that's what we focus on -- private land that is not in the program and take the toughest first."
"The whole idea is we want to supplement and complement what the federal government is doing," added Kobach. "We can complement it by closing the gap and making that wall in El Paso that much more effective."

Kolfage's GoFundMe project was established in December, and raised over $20 million in donations. The average donation was $67, with 300,000 people contributing according to Kobach. The project appeared to have stalled at one point, leading some to raise questions over what happened to the funds.
Recent reports detailed how some donors questioned why they hadn't seen any construction despite the millions donated, but organizers said they had to keep plans secret to protect the project.
"Remember powerful people want to stop our progress, so to not tip anyone off we are radio silent!" Kolfage wrote in a Facebook post shared by the group earlier this month. "The (American Civil Liberties Union) would file a lawsuit to impede our wall success if they knew where and when."
On Monday, Kolfage hit back over Twitter, writing:

June 8, 2019 marks the 52nd. Anniversary of a VERY important, and revealing, historical event that very few Americans even know about. On June 8, 1967, the USS Liberty was well off the coast of Egypt within the legal protection of international waters. The Liberty was a highly sophisticated spy ship that was monitoring the "Six Day War" that was launched by Israel, in a surprise attack, upon Egypt. The Liberty was doing nothing unique, or illegal, as all the major powers had similar ships in service in which to gather intelligence.
It was daytime, with clear skies, and the USS Liberty was flying a large American flag in order to identify itself as an American vessel. What happened next should shock every true American: Israeli jet fighters proceeded, without warning or provocation, to attack the ship. Over 5,000 armor piercing projectiles were fired into the ship, along with over 850 "canon" rounds from Israeli torpedo/gunboats. Napalm, a highly incendiary gel that is almost impossible to put out, was dropped upon the ship's deck by Israeli planes. 5 torpedoes were launched with one severe hit. Life rafts were lowered with the intent to move some of the many wounded off the distressed ship, but were quickly destroyed by the Israeli fighters, breaking international law in doing so.
There was NO mistake regarding this being an American ship, as recordings of the Israeli fighter pilots, calling to their base Commander, informing him that "this is an American ship" proves. The response of the Commander? Proceed with the attack ... with the full intention to sink the ship!
The attack (that you probably never heard of) killed 34 American crew members and severely wounded another 171.

With the beat of Washington’s war drums continuing to grow, particularly following the Monday revelation of a government plan to send as many as 120,000 troops to counter Iran, the threat of an “accidental” provocation or a “false flag” is also becoming increasingly likely. As MintPress recently reported, the possibility of an “accident” leading to open conflict between the U.S. and Iran is now being openly stated by top European officials — such as U.K. Foreign Minister Jeremy Hunt — following meetings with noted Iran hawk and current Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
In Part I of this series, MintPress explored how current events — including seemingly unrelated regional events, such as the Israeli government’s bid to occupy the West Bank and the Syrian offensive against Al Qaeda-held Idlib — were converging to create a “now or never” scenario for those most eager for regime change in Iran and a U.S.-Iran military confrontation, particularly Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton.
This installment will also reveal how Trump’s top political patron Sheldon Adelson — who is also the top donor to Netanyahu and a long-time confidant of Bolton, whom he helped install in his powerful post in the Trump administration — may be the deciding factor whether Trump authorizes the use of military force against Iran.
Yet, while the endgame for Bolton, Adelson and Netanyahu, as well as Pompeo, has long been a U.S.-led war with Iran, public justification for such hostilities must be given in order to manufacture American consent for a war against a country significantly larger than Iraq, complete with a more powerful army. Historically, the U.S. government has frequently planned and used false flags in order to justify the initiation or expansion of hostilities, with the best-known examples being Operation Northwoods and the Gulf of Tonkin incident.
However, given the current situation, it is essential to revisit two other incidents that reveal that the key players pushing for war in Iran — Israel’s government and neoconservatives of the Bush era (Bolton chief among them) — have planned and attempted to execute false flag attacks to push the U.S. into a major war that the American public would not normally support.
Remembering the U.S.S. Liberty
On June 8, 1967, one of the worst attacks on a U.S. naval vessel during peacetime took place, an attack that the U.S. government has kept shrouded in secrecy over 50 years later in what many have called a cover-up.
Around two in the afternoon on a cloudless, sunny day, unmarked aircraft and torpedo boats attacked the U.S.S. Liberty — a largely defenseless naval intelligence vessel flying visible American flags — without provocation. The attack saw the aggressors commit several war crimes, including attacking with unmarked aircraft and vessels; shooting survivor-bearing lifeboats out of the water with machine-gun fire; and the jamming of the Liberty’s ability to use international distress frequencies.
Thirty-four American sailors lost their lives and 173 were wounded...

A CHILDREN’S SPEECH PATHOLOGIST who has worked for the last nine years with developmentally disabled, autistic, and speech-impaired elementary school students in Austin, Texas, has been told that she can no longer work with the public school district, after she refused to sign an oath vowing that she “does not” and “will not” engage in a boycott of Israel or “otherwise tak[e] any action that is intended to inflict economic harm” on that foreign nation. A lawsuit on her behalf was filed early Monday morning in a federal court in the Western District of Texas, alleging a violation of her First Amendment right of free speech.
The child language specialist, Bahia Amawi, is a U.S. citizen who received a master’s degree in speech pathology in 1999 and, since then, has specialized in evaluations for young children with language difficulties (see video below). Amawi was born in Austria and has lived in the U.S. for the last 30 years, fluently speaks three languages (English, German, and Arabic), and has four U.S.-born American children of her own.
Amawi began working in 2009 on a contract basis with the Pflugerville Independent School District, which includes Austin, to provide assessments and support for school children from the county’s growing Arabic-speaking immigrant community. The children with whom she has worked span the ages of 3 to 11. Ever since her work for the school district began in 2009, her contract was renewed each year with no controversy or problem.
But this year, all of that changed. On August 13, the school district once again offered to extend her contract for another year by sending her essentially the same contract and set of certifications she has received and signed at the end of each year since 2009.
She was prepared to sign her contract renewal until she noticed one new, and extremely significant, addition: a certification she was required to sign pledging that she “does not currently boycott Israel,” that she “will not boycott Israel during the term of the contract,” and that she shall refrain from any action “that is intended to penalize, inflict economic harm on, or limit commercial relations with Israel, or with a person or entity doing business in Israeli or in an Israel-controlled territory.”
The language of the affirmation Amawi was told she must sign reads like Orwellian — or McCarthyite — self-parody, the classic political loyalty oath that every American should instinctively shudder upon reading:

That language would bar Amawi not only from refraining from buying goods from companies located within Israel, but also from any Israeli companies operating in the occupied West Bank (“an Israeli-controlled territory”). The oath given to Amawi would also likely prohibit her even from advocating such a boycott given that such speech could be seen as “intended to penalize, inflict economic harm on, or limit commercial relations with Israel.”
Whatever one’s own views are, boycotting Israel to stop its occupation is a global political movement modeled on the 1980s boycott aimed at South Africa that helped end that country’s system of racial apartheid. It has become so mainstream that two newly elected members of the U.S. Congress explicitly support it, while boycotting Israeli companies in the occupied territories has long been advocated in mainstream venues by Jewish Zionist groups such as Peace Now and the Jewish-American Zionist writer Peter Beinart.
This required certification about Israel was the only one in the contract sent to Amawi that pertained to political opinions and activism. There were no similar clauses relating to children (such as a vow not to advocate for pedophiles or child abusers), nor were there any required political oaths that pertained to the country of which she is a citizen and where she lives and works: the United States.
In order to obtain contracts in Texas, then, a citizen is free to denounce and work against the United States, to advocate for causes that directly harm American children, and even to support a boycott of particular U.S. states, such as was done in 2017 to North Carolina in protest of its anti-LGBT law. In order to continue to work, Amawi would be perfectly free to engage in any political activism against her own country, participate in an economic boycott of any state or city within the U.S., or work against the policies of any other government in the world — except Israel.
That’s one extraordinary aspect of this story: The sole political affirmation Texans like Amawi are required to sign in order to work with the school district’s children is one designed to protect not the United States or the children of Texas, but the economic interests of Israel.

In mid-May, The National Sentinel published a detailed synopsis of the actions taken by several members of the Obama administration against Donald Trump, first as a private citizen running for president, then as a major party presidential nominee, and, finally, as president of the United States.
The news site equated the actions of James Comey, John Brennan, James Clapper, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, and even Hillary Clinton to acts of treason, for they were literally designed to drive him from office after he won the presidency.
A coup attempt, in other words, and very clearly so:
Treason is not a word that anyone should use lightly, but based on recent revelations regarding the “Spygate” operation aimed at undermining Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and his presidency, it is a term that seems very fitting to describe acts and actions taken by several Obama-era officials, including the former president himself.
Over the Memorial Day weekend, a sitting member of Congress — GOP Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming — also used the word “treason” to describe those actions, as reported by NewsTarget.
“We had people that are at the highest levels of our law enforcement … saying that they were going to stop a duly-elected president of the United States,” Cheney told ABC News. “That sounds an awful lot like a coup and it could well be treason.”
Now, another learned individual who also happens to be a former U.S. attorney, Joe diGenova — long a critic of the “Spygate” operation against POTUS Trump by the Obama-led Deep State — is using the “T” word as well.
In an interview over the Memorial Day weekend, diGenova said there is currently a “full-scale war” going on within the federal law enforcement and intelligence communities between forces who were responsible for launching and perpetuating the Spygate coup attempt and those attempting to get to the bottom of it and expose the co-conspirators, The Gateway Pundit reported.
“When Bill Barr become attorney general the president said, ‘See what you can do, see if you can get to the bottom of what happened during the campaign,’” diGenova began.
“Bill Barr tried to do that and you will recall from his interview with FOX, he said he now had more questions than he had when he started. Chris Wray the current FBI Director was stonewalling the current Attorney General Bill Barr on disclosure of certain information about FBI conduct. It got very, very heated, so and, Gina Haspel, the current CIA Director, was also resisting disclosure of certain information,” he continued.
At that point, diGenova — citing sources known to him — says the AG “got fed up, went to the president, and said, ‘I can’t answer your question and here’s why.'”
“The president said, ‘Fine.’ Twenty-four hours later the order [to declassify all documents related to Spygate] came out,” diGenova added. “This is a full-scale war between the attorney general of the United States and, believe it or not, another FBI director who thinks he’s James Comey.”
DiGenova went on to describe Wray’s appointment as another misfire by the president, albeit an unintentional one. “Christopher Wray is a disaster,” he said.
“You are watching the quintessential Washington power battle. Here’s the problem for the agencies, the FBI and the CIA. They have one distinct disadvantage. They can leak to the [Washington Post] and the [New York Times] but they do not have subpoena power and Bill Barr does,” diGenova continued.
“We are headed for a gigantic, gigantic fight,” he predicted. “The intelligence community, including the FBI, is in full resistance in disclosing what they did during the presidential campaign. … Christopher Wray is now standing in the way of history.
“Make no mistake about it, Christopher Wray has become an enemy of the people.”

Islamists like Globalists believe themselves and their supremacist tenets to be morally superior to all others. The Islamist cloaks his supremacy in religious fervor and the disingenuous conviction that Islam is a “peaceful” religion because peace to an Islamist means when all the world is Muslim.
The Globalist cloaks his supremacy in a parallel and equally disingenuous conviction that Globalism is “tolerant” because tolerance to a globalist means tolerating those who LOOK different, not those who THINK differently.

The essential question is WHY the Left is promoting communist values. Following reports that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is “gravely ill,” former Congressman Ron Paul asked if the United States and the United Kingdom are trying to KILL the political prisoner.
On Thursday’s episode of the Liberty Report, Paul discussed the situation and compared it to the Otto Warmbier case, arguing the US and UK would look no different from North Korea if Assange were to perish under their watch.
“The Korean government abused him and they KILLED him. THEN they brought him back here when he was terminal,” Paul said.

Julian Assange's Swedish lawyer Per Samuelson has told the press that "Assange's health situation on Friday was such that it was not possible to conduct a normal conversation with him."
This jarring revelation has been reported by a small handful of outlets, but only as an aside in relation to Sweden refusing Samuelson's request for a postponement of a scheduled hearing regarding Assange's detention en absentia for a preliminary investigation of rape allegations. The fact that the imprisoned WikiLeaks founder is so ill that he can't converse lucidly is itself far more significant than the postponement refusal, yet headlines mentioning Samuelson's statement focus on the Swedish case, de-emphasizing the startling news from his lawyer.
As of this writing I've been able to find very few news outlets reporting on this at all, the most mainstream being a Reuters article with the very tame headline "Swedish court rejects delay of Assange hearing over ill-health: lawyer". The Sydney Morning Herald also covered the story without even mentioning illness in headline, instead going with "Swedish court rejects effort to delay Assange hearing". The much smaller alternative media outlet World Socialist Website has been the only outlet I've found so far which reports on Samuelson's statement in anything resembling its proper scale, publishing a good article titled "Despite Assange's ill-health, Swedish court rejects delay to hearing" a few hours ago.
This news has been so under-discussed and under-appreciated as of this writing that I didn't find out about it until hours after the story broke, and I'm very plugged in to both alternative media commentary and WikiLeaks-related news. A report that Julian Assange was so sick he could barely speak all the way back on Friday and we still have no news about how he's doing now should be hugely significant for everyone who cares about Assange, press freedom, government transparency or peace activism.
Another part of this story which has gone completely uncovered in all English-language media as of this writing is the news that Assange has actually been transferred to the hospital wing of Belmarsh prison. This was reported by the Swedish outlet Upsala Nya Tidning, a newspaper published in the same district court Assange is scheduled to call in to for his hearing. The report was also based on a statement to the press by Per Samuelson.
The article reports the following, per machine translation:
"Wikileaks founder Julian Assange's Swedish lawyer wants the arrest hearing on Monday in Uppsala to be postponed. According to the lawyer, who has now visited his client in British prison, Assange is admitted to the medical department and was unable to make a call.

"Last Friday, Assange's Swedish defender, lawyer Per E Samuelson, visited his client in prison. In a letter to Uppsala District Court, the lawyer says that they met for just under two hours. According to the lawyer, Assange's state of health at the meeting was such that 'a normal conversation with him was not possible'. Julian Assange is said to have been taken to the prison's ward, but there is no more detailed information about his state of health."
This story was picked up from Upsala Nya Tidning by Danish new agency Ritzau and published in the outlet Politiken, with the title (per machine translation) "Weakened Assange hospitalized in London prison: 'Impossible to have a normal conversation with him'". These news outlets are to my understanding as reputable as any other mainstream western outlet, yet they remain the only publications I've been able to find which are reporting that Assange has been hospitalized.
This is absolutely BIZARRE.
I've emailed Per Samuelson with a request to confirm the news that Assange has been hospitalized. I'll update this article if I hear back.
For Assange's supporters, one of the many frustrating things about his imprisonment has been the way he's been cut off from the usual means which used to be used to inform the public about his well being. It used to be that news reports could be easily confirmed or refuted by people who had consistent access to Assange in some way by sources like the WikiLeaks Twitter account, but the people who operate that account don't have ready access to him anymore. Now we're seeing all sorts of rumors circulating about how Assange is faring in prison, and it gets difficult to sort out fact from fiction. It appears that it would be difficult to find a more reliable source on the state of his health than his own lawyer, however.

It has long been an established fact that Assange was in failing health while trapped in the Ecuadorian embassy in London; doctors who visited him published an article with the Guardian in January 2018 titled "We examined Julian Assange, and he badly needs care -- but he can't get it". Renata Avila, an activist and author who has worked with and written about WikiLeaks, tweeted in response to the new revelations, "He needed urgent assistance after his expulsion from the Embassy. We have been watching the slow-motion assassination of Julian Assange. Why does Mueller get to slink away after lying about and smearing POTUS Trump? Time for him to be hauled before Congress or arrested!
Earlier this week, former special counsel Robert Mueller appeared before reporters during a very unorthodox press conference at the Justice Department to insinuate that POTUS Donald Trump is guilty of obstructing justice despite the fact that he has not been charged with such a crime.
In laying out essentially the same things revealed in his highly partisan and equally non-committal report to the DoJ regarding his “Russian collusion” witch hunt, Mueller claimed that if he and his 19 Democrat-donor prosecutors really thought the president was ‘innocent,’ “we would have said so.”
Well, of course majority Democrats in the House interpreted Mueller’s statement precisely the way he wanted them to: That POTUS really is guilty of a crime but because Mueller ‘can’t indict a sitting president’ under current Justice Department rules, Congress must exercise its authority and impeach.
After impugning the president — again — Mueller then pronounced that he won’t make himself available to testify before Congress because he doesn’t have anything else to say other that what’s in his report.
But, according to talk radio giant and constitutional expert Mark Levin, the entire Mueller appearance was “orchestrated” by House Democrats and as such, now the Republican-controlled Senate must call him in to testify because there are so many questions regarding his investigation that he should be required to answer.
“I think this whole thing was orchestrated. I think he didn’t want to testify. I think [House Judiciary Chairman Jerry] Nadler said give us the information we want in terms of propaganda. He gives the propaganda. He said I’m not going to answer the press and I’m not going to talk to Congress,” Levin told Fox News’ Sean Hannity Wednesday evening.
“If we had had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so,” Mueller said regarding the obstruction of justice inquiry into the president. “We did not determine whether the president did commit a crime.”
Levin then challenged Mueller’s entire premise behind the press conference, as well as Democrats’ sudden non-interest in getting Mueller to appear before various House committees as they demanded after his report, released in March, found ‘no collusion’ with Russia, either.
So many questions for Mueller
“The answer is there were no crimes, he had no case, there was no probable cause, and by Mueller writing Volume II and giving his little spiel today, he was very feeble. … This is NOT a man who would do well under seven, eight, nine hours of questioning, with the Republicans honing in on so many issues,” said Levin.

(Natural News) Not only is it becoming increasingly obvious that Western liberals are becoming anti-Christian, they are also becoming increasingly authoritarian when it comes to the practice of Christianity by others.
Most Americans have this image of Canada as some liberal utopia where health care is free (and good), there is no such thing as violence, and freedom rings. While our northern neighbor is certainly dominated by liberals, the country is a far cry from a utopia.
In fact, it’s getting to be a far cry from being free.
As Big League Politics reports, lawmakers in the province of Ontario are considering a piece of legislation that would have the same effect as criminalizing the public practice of Christianity.
The bill, “Prohibiting Hate-Promoting Demonstrations at Queen’s Park Act, 2019,” would criminalize public displays erected by Christians that some could claim are hateful to Muslims (as though the Muslim religion isn’t hateful of Christians), the LGBTQRSXYX community, and any other group deemed “victims” by the intolerant Left.
If passed, the measure would ban “any demonstration, rally or other activity that is deemed hateful by the Speaker from being permissible on legislative grounds — effectively insulating the government from Christian speech,” Big League Politics reported.
LifeSite News further explains the nefariousness behind Canada’s ‘anti-hate’ laws which, in reality, go only one way when it comes to Christianity and public displays thereof (which, we presume, would include Christmas displays):
The problem with this bill, however, lies in the fact that the definition of “hate” is uncertain under Canadian law. As a result, unfortunately, the use of the word “hate” can be a useful tool for some to prevent differing views from being expressed. That is, the word “hate” can be used to silence opposing views expressed when, in fact, the views are simply a reasonable expression of belief.
And that’s been the problem with allowing one end of the political spectrum (or the other) to define what “hate” is: Hate could be anythingthat a political opponent says it is, even if it labels a well-established religious belief as such.
What’s more, it’s always the Left that gets to decide what “hate” is and what it means; conservatives have no say in the matter. Further, the actions the Left prescribes when ‘dealing’ with hate is most often authoritarian, intolerant, and itself hateful — like bans of Christian displays or even censoring Christians from speaking.
Speech is speech; not everyone has to agree with it
In Canada specifically, however, the Leftist ‘hate’ and intolerance is not only being justified by the country’s lawmakers, it’s being codified into law by the country’s judiciary. As LifeSite Newsreported, “Canadians have already experienced the contempt shown by the Supreme Court of Canada towards Section 2 of the Charter of Rights which provides for freedom of opinion, expression and religion” (which sounds a lot like our First Amendment).
For instance, in 2018, the moral covenant of a private Christian institution — Trinity Western Christian University — was deemed discriminatory and hateful by the court. In the 2013 case of Bill Whatcott, the high court ruled that what is relevant is the effects of an expression that was used, not the intent of the communicator.
Also, the court additionally found that “truthful statements and sincerely held beliefs do not affect the finding of ‘hate.’” In a pamphlet, Whatcott merely expressed what are well-established facts about homosexuality; such expressions, however, are now considered ‘hateful’ in Maple Leaf country.
It should be noted that the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal had concluded previously that the pamphlet did not constitute “hateful” speech. But when you have a higher court full of ‘progressives’ who consider that a badge of honor, the country will get decisions spiteful and even — dare we say it? — hateful of Christians and Christianity.
In the U.S., our founders understood that not all Americans would agree with all speech, political positions, religious viewpoints, and social norms. But they understood that for a society to flourish, all ideas must be given consideration, even those a majority find disdainful.

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) on Saturday called for the immediate release of "all backup and source information" for the Mueller report after internet sleuth@almostjingo (Rosie Memos) discovered that the special counsel's office deceptively edited content which was then cited as evidence of possible obstruction.
"It's all a fraud" tweeted Nunes, replying to a tweet by @JohnWHuber (Undercover Huber), who also posted a comparison between the Mueller report and a newly released transcript of a November 2017 voicemail message left by former Trump lawyer John Dowd, in which he asked former national security adviser Michael Flynn's attorney for a "heads up" if Flynn was planning on saying anything that might damage the president.
Mueller's team omitted key context suggesting that Dowd was trying to strongarm Flynn and possibly obstruct justice by shaping witness testimony, while the actual voicemail reveals that Dowd was careful not to tread into obstruction territory in what was a friendly and routine call between lawyers.
Mueller’s hacks removed that Dowd wanted a heads up “not only for the president, but for the country” and wasn’t asking for “any confidential information”
Dowd qualifies his request by saying "without you having to give up any...confidential information" in order to determine "If, on the other hand, we have, there's information that...implicates the President, then we've got a national security issue, or maybe a national security issue, I don't know... some issue, we got to-we got to deal with, not only for the President but for the country."

I have been saying this for years ... the Warmongers run BOTH parties. Fifty-eight years ago, Edward Pittson says, the Scoutmaster who had taught him skills like how to use a compass and light a campfire said he was going to teach Pittson about sex. The Scoutmaster invited Pittson, who was 12, to his house and asked him to lie on the bed. The man assured the boy he had seen other Boy Scouts naked. “This is the normal way to learn about sex,” Pittson recalls the Scoutmaster telling him. “He said, ‘But don’t tell your parents what I’m doing. They wouldn’t think you’re mature enough. They wouldn’t understand.’” The man told him a “dirty story,” pulled down his pants and m*st*rb*t*d him. Pittson can’t remember if this happened one time, or if the Scoutmaster invited him over again a few weeks later, but he does remember pulling up his pants after a few minutes and walking out of the room.
“He called after me, calling me a baby and trying to make me feel guilty,” Pittson recalls. “I just wanted to go home.”
About four years later, Pittson, around 16 and furious that the man remained a Scoutmaster, told his parents what had happened. He says his parents went to the BISHOP at their local church in Northern California, the same church that sponsored the Boy Scout troop, and the Scoutmaster was quietly removed from his position. Pittson says he also spoke to the bishop, but as far as he knows, NOBODY reported the Scoutmaster to the police.
Now, Pittson is one of hundreds of men and boys hoping for a last chance at restitution if the Boy Scouts of America, in the face of a new wave of abuse allegations, files for bankruptcy.
On Thursday, a group of attorneys said they’d collected information from at least 428 men and boys whose accounts of rape, molestation and abuse indicate the Boy Scouts’ pedophile problem is FAR more widespread than the organization has previously acknowledged.

They hope to illuminate a problem that has plagued but never fully exposed the Boy Scouts, an institution that for 109 years has vowed to teach youngsters good manners, useful skills and a sense of right and wrong.

A Presbyterian minister, who said he was following the Bible, used Native American exorcism rituals, gemstones and even oral sex to extract "evil spirits" from men undergoing crises in their lives, the church and men claim.
The so-called "healing" acts, which date to 1999, were allegedly performed by the Rev. Dr. William Weaver, a prominent Presbyterian minister who served as pastor at Linden Presbyterian Church for 39 years, one of two Presbyterian churches in Linden, New Jersey, a city with a population of over 40,000. He also held several public roles, including chaplain for a county police department.
Weaver, 69, was scheduled to face his three accusers during an internal church trial, but on Jan. 25, 2019, one day before the trial was to begin, he renounced the jurisdiction of the Elizabeth Presbytery. He was accused by the church of “multiple acts of idolatry and sexual misconduct.”

Weaver, a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary, has served as chaplain of the Union County Police Department, the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter No. 779, and the Hospice Division of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where he also served as a member of the ethics committee, according to his resume on Linkedin.com.
Sebastian D'Elia, director of communications for Union County, confirmed that Weaver worked as a chaplain for the county police department from 1999 to 2007.
Audrey Pereira, associate representative to the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter No. 779 and the wife of the organization's president, also confirmed that Weaver was a chaplain for the group.
"We don't know who else has been hurt by this," she said. "God forbid there are more out there."
Pereira described Weaver as a "smart and cunning" man who did do good things, such as praying with veterans in the hospital, but did so with a "mask" hiding his alleged misdeeds.
"He did good on one hand, but he's like a Jekyll and Hyde," she said. "On the other hand, he did this evil to who knows how many. It can't just have been these guys, there has to be more."

Like Willie Weist, one of the three men who made claims against Weaver, Meeker said Weaver also initially helped him before the counseling took a bizarre ritualistic and sexual turn.
“I think that’s what upsets me so much,” Meeker said. “He really did help, but he then ruined that by causing more harm.”
Now, Meeker said, he struggles with anxiety and other issues.
“This has caused a lot of anxiety and depression and panic attacks over the past few years as I have learned that not only this has happened to other men, but men that I knew,” he said.
Weist, Meeker and Staunton said they informed various law enforcement organizations of their allegations against Weaver. They said they were hoping that some form of official reprimand would result from the church trial, which took more than a year to organize, but that fell apart when Weaver moved to Lakewood and renounced the jurisdiction of the Presbyterian Church.
More than anything, though, the three men said they want to ensure that what they claim Weaver has done to them never happens again.
“I was willing to never bring this up and live with it, but I refuse to stay silent any longer,” Meeker wrote in his statement. “I need to make sure that this never happens to anyone else ever again.”

The Australian Federal Police have conducted two raids on journalists and seized documents in purportedly unrelated incidents in the span of just two days.
Yesterday the AFP raided the homeof News Corp Australia journalist Annika Smethurst, seeking information related to her investigative report last year which exposed the fact that the Australian government has been discussing the possibility of giving itself unprecedented powers to spy on its own citizens. Today they raided the Sydney headquarters of the Australian Broadcasting Corp, seizing information related to a 2017 investigative report on possible war crimes committed by Australian forces in Afghanistan.
In a third, also ostensibly unrelated incident, another Australian reporter disclosed yesterday that the Department of Home Affairs has initiated an investigation of his reporting on a story about asylum seeker boats which could lead to an AFP criminal case, saying he’s being pressured to disclose his source.
I’m still staggered by the power of this warrant. It allows the AFP to “add, copy, delete or alter” material in the ABC’s computers. All Australians, please think about that: as of this moment, the AFP has the power to delete material in the ABC’s computers. Australia 2019.
“Why has AFP suddenly decided to carry out these two raids after the election?” tweeted Australian Sky News political editor David Speers during the Sydney raid. “Did new evidence really just emerge in both the Annika Smethurst and ABC stories?!”
Why indeed?
“If these raids unconnected, as AFP reportedly said, it’s an extraordinary coincidence,” tweeted The Conversation chief political correspondent Michelle Grattan. “AFP needs to explain ASAP the timing so long after the stories. It can’t be that inefficient! Must be some explanation – which makes the ‘unconnected’ claim even more odd.”
Odd indeed.
It is true that the AFP has formally denied that there was any connection between the two raids, and it is in fact difficult to imagine how the two could be connected apart from their sharing a common theme of exposing malfeasance that the government wanted kept secret. If it is true that they are unconnected, then what changed? What in the world could have changed to spark this sudden escalation of the Australian government’s assault on the free press?

On Sunday, May 19, New York Times finance editor David Enrich got a request from a producer at MSNBC to appear on Rachel Maddow’s show the following night. Enrich had a red-hot front-page story for Monday’s paper, about anti-money-laundering specialists at Deutsche Bank flagging suspicious transactions involving Donald Trump and Jared Kushner, and Maddow wanted to bring him on air to talk about it.
Maddow is MSNBC’s ratings queen, jostling with Sean Hannity every night for the crown of most-watched time slot in cable news. That’s why reporters tend to relish the exposure they get from doing her show. Enrich said yes, but after mentioning the planned appearance to the Times’s communications department, he was told he would have to retroactively decline. The reason? The Times was wary of how viewers might perceive a down-the-middle journalist like Enrich talking politics with a mega-ideological host like Maddow. The producer, who was informed that the Times asks members of the newsroom not to appear on opinionated shows to discuss political subjects, was miffed about the cancellation, sources said. Enrich declined to comment. An MSNBC spokesman said, “For over a decade, The Rachel Maddow Show has welcomed the best journalists from across the country and celebrated the hard work they do, day-in and day-out. This includes countless New York Times reporters and editors. That commitment to journalism is part of the DNA of the show.”
It’s not just Maddow. The Times has come to “prefer,” as sources put it, that its reporters steer clear of any cable-news shows that the masthead perceives as too partisan, and managers have lately been advising people not to go on what they see as highly opinionated programs. It's not clear how many shows fall under that umbrella in the eyes of Times brass, but two others that definitely do are Lawrence O’Donnell’s and Don Lemon’s, according to people familiar with management’s thinking. Hannity’s or Tucker Carlson’s shows would likewise make the cut, but it's not like Times reporters ever do those anyway. I’m told that over the past couple of months, executive editor Dean Baquet has felt that opinionated cable-news show are getting, well, even more opinionated. Baquet and other managers have become increasingly concerned that if a Times reporter were to go on one of these shows, his or her appearance could be perceived as being aligned with that show’s political leanings. “He thinks it’s a real issue,” one of my Times sources said. “Their view,” said another, “is that, intentionally or not, it affiliates the Times reporter with a bias.”

I do not believe in pre-trib rapture, Dan Bryan. It's a false narrative.
Compare Matt 24, Luke 21, Mark 13, and then compare all of that to Daniel's passages of anti-christ's rise and Revelation's anti-christ seizure of power and how the world is operating in that time frame. Don't forget to factor 2 Thess church and anti-christ portrayal that is spelling out as we speak and nearly complete.
We are ripe and ready to see this as globalism continues it's advance, (granted there is some push back but for how long?) so the birth pangs are still progressing, targeting Israel and Christians as never before, with Jesus detailing for us, describing tribulation leading to distinct marked actions that bring on great tribulation. That there is a temple mount is enough, because it is the most hotly contested piece of real estate in the world, with violence promised by those (Muslims) demanding it exclusively, though it is not theirs, so not needing the actual Jewish temple rebuilt, but only the "promise" (politically negotiated/political manipulation) of it in some sort of "deal" in the works. We can read the headlines, this is all mounting and the topic goes underground for a while only to reemerge looming larger each time. And notice that all the eras before combined do not equal the persecution the world is seeing now of those who believe in Jesus Christ, plus to include all the players on board for the awful relationship intending destruction in Ezekiel 38-39, and Isaiah 17:1 on the verge. So it is many many MANY factors combined and I did not list them all, to show how close to fruition for the anti-christ's 42 month (3.5 yr) reign of terror is to begin, that is cloaked and masked as "peace and safety" (security) that the Bible warns us of. So what is the something that will trigger the kickoff of that point of no return that has Jerusalem surrounded by armies (international "peace keeping" forces?) and someone "standing up" there to take charge, to carve up temple mount as a settlement, a sort of consolation prize, for world peace?

The only way to know the truth is to seek the truth. And while seeking the truth you have to be very honest with yourself. Because most people are not honest with themselves and consequently believe whatever they want to, Jesus therefore said "straight is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to everlasting life, and few there be that go that way. Most people believe that because they were born into a family of a particular religion and because that religion is also the dominant religion of their country that, therefore, it is the only true religion. These same people also blindly believe that their religion's scriptures always tell the truth, and do so, in spite of the fact that modern-day scientific discoveries have proven that some of their scriptures are lies. This truth is so easy to understand, but, unfortunately, most Christians choose to believe the lies in their Bible scriptures.
You like talking big, Thomas, but you ever fail to live up to your big talk. Time and time again, your erroneous statements have been successfully rebutted but in each case you choose to simply ignore it.
I do believe that makes you a hypocrite.

An Arizona company developing a new type of high-altitude, long-range surveillance platform just completed a 16-day mission during which massive balloons floated over four western U.S. states, all part of an effort to someday keep them aloft for months at a time.
World View Enterprises Inc. builds what it calls Stratollites, a system designed to offer the type of coverage satellites afford but without the need to launch incredibly expensive rockets into space. Effectively unmanned balloons, the untethered platforms operate with surveillance equipment payloads of as much as 220 pounds (100 kg) at altitudes of 50,000 feet to 75,000 feet, far above commercial air traffic.
They will be able to monitor [many things] and perhaps the contents of your fenced-off backyard—in hyper-accurate detail.
The company plans to start selling its commercial product early next year and has spoken with several potential commercial and military customers, Chief Executive Officer Ryan Hartman said Tuesday in an interview. World View sees its customer base as companies that operate critical industrial and commercial infrastructure.
The platform, navigated remotely using a unique altitude control system, can provide imagery that’s superior to orbiting vehicles, Hartman contends, because “we’re five times closer to the earth than the nearest satellite.” He said “our imagination is sort of our limit with regards to where and how these systems can be used. Certainly there is a market in target surveillance and reconnaissance on a global scale.”
“There’s a very real potential here that these kinds of systems will lead to a pervasive aerial surveillance.”
Given that satellites have the capacity to read license plates, World View’s product may have implications for privacy and civil liberties.

Jeramie Scott, senior counsel for the Electronic Privacy Information Center’s Domestic Surveillance Project, said that while high-altitude surveillance balloons may have beneficial uses, “they will also pose a SERIOUS THREAT to our privacy and civil liberties.
