BRUSSELS, July 2 (Reuters) - The European Union foreign policy chief suggested on Monday that Iran could be linked to the Hamas military takeover of Gaza, recent attacks on the Lebanese army, and on European peacekeepers in Lebanon.
Javier Solana, who has led efforts to bring Iran back to the negotiating table over its nuclear programme, stopped short of blaming Tehran outright, but said the incidents could not be treated separately. . . . "What happened in Gaza cannot be seen separately from what happened in Lebanon," he told a conference on the Middle East hosted by the Socialist group of the European Parliament.
"There are new groups in the Palestinian camps," Solana said. "And the fact that UNIFIL has been attacked for the first time cannot be taken separately."
"She was referring to a dispatch by the British news agency Reuters from "Solana suggests Iran behind Gaza and Lebanon attacks".
"We don't deal with suggestions. We are not in a business of suggestions. People take out sentences out of context to spin," noted Gallach."

"If you have noticed that the Herb Peters videos are not working, you're not alone. It appears that ALL Herb's videos have vanished from both youtube AND google. Wickus and I are both looking into it, and will try to somehow get these re-posted. Methinks something suspicious is afoot...

On Solana's meeting w/quartet in Mid-July: Isn't that when his birthday is? Doesn't he always get a diplomatic present of some sort for his birthday?
Thank you Constance for your continued work.
1. Solana's itinerary/agenda revealed that he was obviously not home with family on his birthday of July 14th, at least in past years when Herb and I were monitoring;
2. Solana seemed to get significant add ons to his power just about every November 20th or thereabouts. That's why we called them "Solana's November Presents." I believe Herb had a column once entitled exactly that.
Solana's children seem to be running into dissension in Spain over their jobs -- others claiming they and Filipe Gonzalez' son (former Socialist prime minister of Spain) got their jobs due to political influence. My personal impression is that Dad (Javier) probably didn't do that much to assist them. Too bad. They seem like nice, well-motivated kids from what I know about them and they had to survive their parents "calling it quits" in 1995! Interesting to watch that as well! I believe his son is a law school graduate and his daughter possesses a master's degree, at least, of some type.

There are too many global warming deniers out there, it seems like more and more every day, calling the anti-emissions movement a global swindle and hoax, a myth, a conspiracy of depopulationists, global government types, and self-serving politicians like Maurice Strong and Al Gore; and saying that us believers and activists are zealots of some new "Ecotheist" religion; that we are dupes, victims of pop-culture hysteria - and worse! They seek to obscure the facts and deny the consensus about the most critical issue of our time and the direst threat ever faced by our precious Mother Earth!
I would love to see a skilled writer tackle some of these books and review/debunk them. These books distract from the fact the debate has long been over and the time for action is now. We are running out of time to get the populace fully behind this. We can't just ignore these heretics and traitors.
