read, the more alarmed I become. QANON is NOT OF GOD and it is DANGEROUS. A very
informative video illustrating Qanon origins and direction is HBO's current
series ON THE STORM. If you have access to HBO documentaries, please make every
effort to watch it. Friends of mine came back from Antrim County, Michigan. They
told me that they were making statements there that Donald Trump would be
reinstated as President of the USA in August 2021. Both high unlikely, not to
mention delusional! Michael Lindell, MY PILLOW owner and CEO spoke, I'm told at
the Antrim County, Michigan rally. My friends tell me the book LOVE JOY TRUMP
was being actively marketed and sold there. Lindell wrote the foreword for that
book. The book is one of the worst combinations of New Apostolic Reform and
outright NEW AGE occultism I have seen together in one place. I am hearing
statistics that many Evangelicals believe Qanon is correct. This lack of

This isn't a loose connection either. Mike Adams appeared in three of CCHR's propaganda documentaries. Wrote about them defending them twice. Had the head of the Texas CCHR chapter on once. Accepted at least one award from them. They publish and point to his work and vice versa. It has been going on at least a decade.

How deadly is COVID-19?
Stanford Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology John P. A. Ioannidis in the European Journal of Clinical Investigation has reviewed data from studies globally and estimated that the infection fatality rate (IFR) of COVID-19 is around 0.15%. It varies considerably by region (for reasons such as demographics and prior susceptibility) and between countries within regions. In Europe and the Americas it is around 0.3%-0.4%. In Africa and Asia it is around 0.05%.
It also varies considerably between ages and depending on the presence of underlying conditions. Cambridge Professor of Statistics David Spiegelhalter has used the mortality data from the spring 2020 epidemic in England and Wales to show that the risk of dying from a COVID-19 infection roughly increases by 12-13% for each year older, doubles every 5-6 years and is around 10,000 times higher for the oldest compared to the youngest. It is also roughly proportional to the normal risk of dying in a given year (though is partly in addition to that normal risk). Men have around double the risk of death of women of the same age.
The average age of death from Covid in England and Wales in the spring epidemic was 80.4 according to the ONS, splitting 78.7 for men and 82.5 for women. The average age of death in the UK is 79.3 for men and 82.9 for women (though note these are modelled estimates of life expectancy at birth based on life tables, not the actual average age of those who die each year). Public Health England has estimated that life expectancy was reduced by 1.3 years for men and 0.9 years for women in 2020 due to the Covid and lockdown death tolls, though these figures are also modelled.
Economist John Appleby writing in the BMJ has shown that every year prior to 2009 was more deadly than 2020 in England and Wales once the size and age of the population is taken into account. The same analysis also shows that previous pandemics have not resulted in continued elevated death rates for more than a year or two despite not having vaccines for the diseases, indicating how the human immune system and the diseases adapt into a less deadly relationship.
A Swedish review of Covid deaths outside hospitals (i.e., in care homes and private homes) in one county found 85% were from a different underlying cause. In Northern Ireland, 38% of Covid deaths in spring 2020 were determined to be not primarily due to COVID-19. However, the same figure in England and Wales was 8%, suggesting significant differences in how Covid deaths are registered between jurisdictions.
How is COVID-19 spread?
According to the most up-to-date data, COVID-19 primarily spreads via aerosols that build-up in the air of a room rather than via larger droplets or through contact with surfaces (fomites). This is why many of the measures taken to combat the spread of COVID-19, such as distancing, barriers, face masks (see below) and cleaning surfaces are ineffective. Outdoor transmission is very rare.
Public Health England has used data from the Government testing programme to show that the secondary attack rate (proportion of contacts who catch the virus from an infected person) in private homes is around 10.1%. An American study in JAMA found it was 16.6%.
The low secondary attack rate in the high-exposure context of private homes is indicative of high levels of pre-existing immunity to the disease, as discussed in the BMJ by Peter Doshi. Note that immunity is not binary – a person can be resistant on one occasion and not resistant on another, for a variety of reasons. Cross-reactive T-cells that provide a measure of immunity have been found in a number of studies in 20-50% of unexposed people, or even up to 81%. Exposure without detectable infection (detectable by a PCR test) has also been found to induce a degree of T-cell immunity.
Infection with COVID-19 has been shown in a number of studies, including one on U.S Marines published in the Lancet, to confer natural immunity that gives around 80% protection from re-infection and 90% protection from symptomatic re-infection, with ten times lower viral load (corresponding to infectiousness).
What about asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic transmission?
Asymptomatic infection is typically characterised by a much lower viral load and consequently much lower infectiousness. The study in JAMA on household secondary attack rate (SAR) cited above found that asymptomatic infections had a SAR of just 0.7% versus a SAR of 18% for symptomatic infection. The proportion of infections that are asymptomatic increases among those with immunity from previous infection or vaccination, showing that it is a characteristic of immunity.
People become infectious around two days prior to onset of symptoms as viral load peaks. This pre-symptomatic transmission is estimated to account for around 6.4% of spread, according to a study of actual transmission events from Singapore. Modelled estimates of the contribution of pre-symptomatic spread appear to go too high.
This means that people without symptoms, whether asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic, are not major drivers of the epidemic.
Do lockdowns work?
Restrictions on social contact, such as stay-at-home orders, business closures and gathering limits, have consistently been shown in peer-reviewed studies to have had no significant impact on outcomes such as Covid infections and deaths. Here is a sample, with a key quote from each.

Does social distancing work?
Many studies (including some of those above) which conclude that lockdowns don’t work nonetheless add that voluntary social distancing practices do reduce infections or deaths by suppressing spread. However, this is typically stated without supporting evidence. In fact, the evidence on this is also quite weak.
An international comparison study in Nature by R.F. Savaris and colleagues found that actually staying at home (measured by mobile phone mobility data) also made no significant difference to outcomes. “We were not able to explain the variation of deaths per million in different regions in the world by social isolation, herein analysed as differences in staying at home, compared to baseline,” they wrote. “In the restrictive and global comparisons, only 3% and 1.6% of the comparisons were significantly different, respectively.”
Social distancing doesn’t have a significant impact on infections or deaths for a number of reasons.
Firstly, the fact that transmission is mainly via aerosols that build-up in the air of a room means that keeping a physical distance from people makes little difference to risk. A study from MIT used a model of viral dynamics to show that physical distancing makes no significant difference to transmission risk in indoor spaces.
Second, much of the spread, especially which leads to serious infection and death, is nosocomial, i.e., it occurs in care homes and hospitals. According to data from the ONS, 39% of Covid deaths in England and Wales in spring 2020 were care home residents. According to Public Health Scotland, between half and two thirds of serious Covid infections during the winter were picked up in hospital.
Third, not everyone is staying at home, even when they’re unwell. ONS figures show that nearly half of people in the U.K. travelled to work during the January lockdown. A major survey from King’s College London found that less than half of those with symptomatic Covid fully self-isolated during their infectious period.
Because social distancing does not significantly suppress viral spread, there is no reason to expect a large new wave of infections when social distancing practices are eased or ended. This aligns with the experience of states in the U.S. such as Florida, Texas and South Dakota which ended restrictions or never imposed them and did not experience noticeably worse outcomes than states which maintained them.
Are lockdowns harmful?
Lockdowns are extremely harmful to human health and well-being, leading to large reductions in access to healthcare, education and sources of social support, and considerable reductions in economic activity resulting in large-scale losses of earnings and livelihoods.
A U.K. Government report estimated that the first lockdown would kill at least 63,000 people through missed medical care and worsened economic conditions. It argued this loss of life was justified because COVID-19 was predicted to kill directly up to 1.5 million people or around 2.2% of the population. However, this figure is many times higher than the death toll in any country on earth no matter how lax its response. The worst affected country as of May 8th 2021, Hungary, has lost less than 0.3% of its population with COVID-19 according to official data. Sweden, with looser restrictions, has lost less than 0.14%.
The UK economy shrank by almost 10% in 2020, the largest annual fall on record.

The United Nations has estimated that disruption in healthcare services caused by government responses to COVID-19 in Afghanistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka (home to some 1.8 billion people) may have led to 239,000 maternal and child deaths. Of these, an estimated 228,000 are children under five, who are at very low risk from the virus.
The United Nations has also estimated that an additional 207 million people could be pushed into extreme poverty over the next decade due to the long term impact of lockdowns.

Are the vaccines effective?
The vaccines appear to be effective at preventing serious COVID-19 infection. A study based on data from the ZOE Covid Symptom study found that vaccination with at least one dose of a Covid vaccine reduces hospitalisation risk by 64%, a finding also reflected in the declining proportion of Covid hospital admissions among vaccinated cohorts. Supporting this, the vaccines succeed in producing antibodies to SARS-CoV-2.
However, among those groups who are most vulnerable to the virus they appear to be less effective. The ZOE study found that the frail elderly (over 60s) were up to three times more likely to be infected after at least one dose of a vaccine than if they weren’t frail. A German study found a third of those over 80 fully vaccinated with the Pfizer jab did not generate antibodies.
A number of studies have suggested the vaccines are highly effective at preventing infection. However, many of these studies may be confounded by declining background incidence, and there is emerging evidence the vaccines may not be as effective against infection as such studies indicate.
Some coronavirus variants are showing signs of partial escape from vaccine-induced immunity. For example, the AstraZeneca vaccine was found to be only 21.9% effective against the South African variant. The need for regular boosters tailored to new variants has been suggested.
Are the vaccines safe?
A number of safety concerns have been raised about the vaccines, some of which have led to some of the vaccines being restricted or removed in some countries.
The U.S. vaccine adverse effects reporting system (VAERS) has generated reports of deaths linked with Covid vaccinations at a rate 30 times greater than with flu vaccinations (although the number of deaths associated with flu vaccines is very low). Hundreds of serious adverse reactions have been reported in the UK.
A major study in the UK reported “an abundance of patients admitted to hospital within seven days of vaccination”.
The vaccines involve using genetic instructions to induce the body to produce the virus’s spike protein. However, there are concerns that the spike protein is itself pathogenic. One study reported: ”The SARS-CoV-2 spike protein (without the rest of the viral components) triggers cell signalling events that may promote pulmonary vascular remodelling and pulmonary arterial hypertension as well as possibly other cardiovascular complications.” The spike protein by itself was shown to harm the lungs of mice.
Because the vaccines are new there is currently no data available on long-term safety.
There is also evidence that a Covid vaccination programme can cause a spike in infections. The association of vaccination programmes and Covid surges in a number of countries has been discussed in the pages of the BMJ. Dr. Clare Craig has argued against it being behaviour based (people letting their guard down) and pointed to the results from the vaccine trials which showed a reduction in white blood cells in the days following the jab that may indicate temporary immune suppression.
The risk-benefit calculation for Covid vaccination has been acknowledged by leading figures including Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty to be different for those who are at lower risk from the disease, particularly the young. In the U.K., the AstraZeneca vaccine is no longer recommended for those under 40.
Do masks work?
Because transmission of COVID-19 is primarily via aerosols building up in the air of indoor spaces, face masks have little to no impact on risk of infection or transmission. This is because even surgical masks do not filter out enough infected aerosols to be considered respiratory protection devices. In addition, aerosols routinely escape with breath around the sides of the mask.
Accordingly, studies consistently find no significant benefit from wearing masks. The Danmask-19 randomised controlled trial (RCT) found that surgical masks provide no significant protection for the wearer from COVID-19 infection. This is in line with other RCTs for other similar viruses. One, published in autumn 2020, concluded face masks “did not seem to be effective against laboratory-confirmed viral respiratory infections nor against clinical respiratory infection”.
The Government’s scientific advisers admit masks are little use to the wearer, saying they “may provide a small amount of protection to an uninfected wearer; however, this is not their primary intended purpose”. Rather they are “predominantly a source control” (preventing transmission). The advisers cite the findings of a study by Brainard et al, which reviews a number of RCTs and concludes surgical masks provide the wearer with protection from just 6% of infections. The same study’s review of RCTs for masks as source control finds no evidence above low quality.
Yinon Weiss has plotted real-world data to show there is no sign of mask mandates altering the course or size of Covid epidemics in countries and states around the world.
Are masks safe?
A number of studies raise concerns about the safety of face masks used daily and for long periods.
A study in Water Research has called for a “full investigation” into the safety of face masks, after detecting easily detached particles of microplastics and heavy metals. “The toxicity of some of the chemicals found and the postulated risks of the rest of the present particles and molecules, raises the question of whether DPFs [disposable plastic face masks] are safe to be used on a daily basis,” it notes.
Professor Michael Braungart, head of the Hamburg Environmental Institute, has warned: “Many of them are made of polyester, so you have a microplastic problem. If I have the mask in front of my face, then of course I inhale the microplastic directly and these substances are much more toxic than if you swallow them, as they get directly into the nervous system,”
The World Health Organisation highlights a number of potential harms and risks of prolonged mask use in its guidance, including contamination, skin lesions and headaches.
A study in Clinical Research in Cardiology, “Effects of surgical and FFP2/N95 face masks on cardiopulmonary exercise capacity“, finds significant impact on lung function from wearing a mask during exercise: “The pulmonary function parameters were significantly lower with mask… the ventilation was significantly reduced with both face masks… Peak blood lactate response was reduced with mask. … Participants reported consistent and marked discomfort wearing the masks.”
Face masks have been found to be a transmission risk, with infectious virus remaining on the mask for several days.
There are also important psychological consequences from frequent and widespread mask wearing.
Are effective treatments available?
A number of treatments have been used by clinicians around the world that appear to have some beneficial impact on treating COVID-19. Among the most promising are Ivermectin, as detailed in the American Journal of Therapeutics, and Budesonide, as detailed in the Lancet. The safety profile of these established drugs is well-known and not controversial.
What should governments have done?
The UK Government has a Pandemic Preparedness Strategy, drafted in 2011 in line with international ethical norms and scientific evidence. It is primarily for an influenza pandemic, but also envisages a SARS-like pandemic and anticipates up to 315,000 deaths, most in the space of a few weeks. It primarily recommends hand hygiene and self-isolation of the infected. It does not recommend school closures, border closures, business closures, face masks in the community or bans on large gatherings. It aims to encourage “business as usual”, stating:
During a pandemic, the Government will encourage those who are well to carry on with their normal daily lives for as long and as far as that is possible, whilst taking basic precautions to protect themselves from infection and lessen the risk of spreading influenza to others. The UK Government does not plan to close borders, stop mass gatherings or impose controls on public transport during any pandemic. …
Large public gatherings or crowded events where people may be in close proximity are an important indicator of ‘normality’ and may help maintain public morale during a pandemic. The social and economic consequences of advising cancellation or postponement of large gatherings are likely to be considerable for event organisers, contributors and participants.
The Government should have followed this strategy, as it was doing until around March 16th 2020, and not been pressured into deviating from it. It should have recognised that no pandemic has caused elevated mortality for more than a year or two and maintained a sense of proportion.
That said, the strategy is notably silent on the role of hospitals and care homes in spreading the virus (nosocomial spread). It includes no special provisions for protecting care home residents, hospital patients, or any other vulnerable category. It could therefore be improved by considering how focused protection, as advocated in the Great Barrington Declaration, could reduce deaths among the vulnerable. It could also give more consideration to how infected patients could be more effectively isolated from uninfected patients in hospitals.
A further improvement would be to place more emphasis on quickly finding effective treatments besides vaccines, especially repurposed drugs which are readily available and whose safety profile is known.

SURVEY: People vaccinated for covid become more “magnetic” over time… the vaccine appears to be assembling magnetic nanoparticles in the blood
A researcher from Europe recently conducted a survey that looked at the state of “magnetism” in people’s bodies after they get “vaccinated” for the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19), the results of which are nothing short of disturbing.
It turns out that getting jabbed for the Fauci Flu causes a person’s body to become increasingly more “magnetic” over time, emitting a strange electromagnetic field that becomes progressively stronger with each passing day.
Amar Goudjil set out to evaluate 200 individuals living or working in Luxembourg. Half of them were to have gotten jabbed for the Chinese Virus in accordance with government recommendations, while the other half were those who decided to protect their DNA from permanent chemical alteration.
Each of the two groups was to then be divided into half women and half men, and all of them were to be considered “active” as opposed to “inactive” in terms of their lifestyles.
The location of the study took place at the Belle-Étoile shopping center and the route d’Arlon in Strassen. For practical reasons, all of those interviewed had to be wearing short-sleeved or sleeveless shirts to fully test the magnetism.
Goudjil made an introduction, explained the purpose of the study, and conducted an anonymous statistical survey of jabbed versus un-jabbed people living in the area.
“It’s a survey about information according to which vaccinated people show electromagnetic effects and at EFVV, we are trying to find out what the observed reality is,” Goudjil told each participant.
From there, he presented each participant with a magnet to press against the skin. Participants were also asked to have an electric and magnetic field tester placed on the shoulders to test for electric fields.
In the end, due to various reasons, only 30 vaccinated and 30 unvaccinated people were interviewed and tested by Goudjil, with 15 women and 15 men in each of the groups. Still, the results were undeniably clear: getting injected causes severe magnetism.

As someone in the middle, I see this happening on both the left AND the right.
Examples:
The left pretends it is not offensive for LGBT... groups to piggy-back their anti-discrimation civil rights agendas on racial civil rights agendas as if their chosen lifestyle issues and consequences equate with being born darker-skinned in America. They won't debate you, just label you a homophobe and carry on despite the fact there is a huge difference between a chosen lifestyle you can easily hide and being, say, a black person.
The Republicans knowingly pretend the election was stolen, absent any facts and despite it being a landslide with Biden getting 7+ million more votes and 74 more Electoral Votes, simply to justify the attempted legislative rigging of future elections hoping to continue their elitist "seizing of power and wealth from the rest of us".

I don't get how the reference to New York Mayoral candidate Eric Adams's suggesting he'd follow CDC guidelines regarding masking the unvaccinated at schools in New York city applies to what I said??? De Blasio, perhaps out of an abundance of caution (and having been mayor during Covid when so many New Yorkers lost their lives) has indicated, apparently, he thinks everyone, vaccinated and unvaccinated should be masked this fall. De Blasio will remain mayor until January 1, 2022 so it's his administration's decision.

I don't get how the reference to New York Mayoral candidate Eric Adams's suggesting he'd follow CDC guidelines regarding masking the unvaccinated at schools in New York city applies to what I said??? De Blasio, perhaps out of an abundance of caution (and having been mayor during Covid when so many New Yorkers lost their lives) has indicated, apparently, he thinks everyone, vaccinated and unvaccinated should be masked this fall. De Blasio will remain mayor until January 1, 2022 so it's his administration's decision.
With variants spreading and the unvaccinated failing to comply with masking guidance spreading covid throughout the US...we're all likely to be under another mask mandate this fall anyway.
Eric Adams is an example of a moderate Democrat. He is closer to the middle than Biden and Harris are and closer to the middle than you are, X. He is a retired police officer who opposes defunding the police. He has demonstrated a willingness to appeal to reason rather than jumping on the bandwagon of woke dogma. For this reason, there is hope for him that maybe he really means what he says about following the science. If he does, then he could still update his knowledge about masks and what the science says as opposed to what the dogma says. It remains to be seen whether he is really the reasonable pragmatist he seems as if he could be, but at least there seems as if there may be hope for him. At least he has every indication of being sincere about wanting to reduce crime in New York City.
Now if only you had a mayor in Chicago who would be willing and capable of reducing crime. As a self-professed inhabitant of the political middle, don't you think it would be nice if you lived in a city with a mayor who would be what Eric Adams seems as if he may be? As opposed to Lori Lightfoot, who proposed an $80,000,000 cut from the police budget? While meanwhile Chicago has more shootings than I was aware of happening in Anchorage when I lived in Alaska. And that's a lot. My husband used to drive to work, pass a dead body in the morning, drive home from work, and see the same dead body still lying there. It happened more than once over the years. The police of Anchorage know where the stolen cars are kept but don't do anything to recover them.
One thing I will say in favor of Anchorage is that at least the citizens are allowed to protect themselves, since it's clear that they are on their own. The cops don't even show up when there is a car accident unless somebody dies in the accident. Again, is that what you want for Chicago?

Leading up to the South African riots, people were already experiencing food shortages. Many of the looters hoped to sell their loot to buy food for their families.

Are Blacks Cursed by God? What Is the Bible's View?
MANY religious leaders have answered “Yes.” Clergymen Robert Jamieson, A. R. Fausset and David Brown, in their Bible commentary, assert: “Cursed be Canaan [Genesis 9:25]—this doom has been fulfilled in. . . the slavery of the Africans, the descendants of Ham.”—Commentary, Critical and Explanatory, on the Whole Bible.
It is claimed that not only the slavery of blacks was in fulfillment of this Biblical curse, but their black skin color is too. Thus many whites have been led to assume that blacks are inferior, and that God meant for them to be the servants of whites.
Many blacks became embittered by the treatment that they received as a result of this religious interpretation. One observes: “It was in the summer of 1951 when I, as an inquisitive seven-year-old, sat on the steps of the First Baptist Church in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, and cried. I had tried diligently to rub off the blackness of my flesh, because my white girl companions had remarked about its offensiveness. The rubbing with Ajax cleanser left only a reddened, puffy spot that ached, almost as much as my childish heart, when I began to ponder why a God of love would make a person black, unless he really did not love me.
“I had heard that it was due to a curse put on our race by God. But still didn’t know or understand what we had done to God that merited such punishment. And I think, in reflection, that deep in my heart I had always harbored a private grudge against God for making me black and putting me into a white world. “In the crushing disturbances of my playmates’ taunts and racial epithets, such as: ‘If you’re White, you’re all right, if you’re Brown, stick around, if you’re Black, get back,’ a marked condition ensued, wherein I began to seethe, particularly at white girls my own age.”
What about this Biblical curse? Are people black due to a curse that God placed on some ancestor of theirs? And did blacks suffer centuries of slavery in fulfillment of this curse? Does the Bible really teach such things? Let us see. The Bible account in question reads: “[Noah] drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren . . . And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.”—Gen. 9:21-27, Authorized Version.
It has been claimed that this Biblical curse singles out blacks for perpetual servitude. In fact, in 1838 the antislavery crusader Theodore Weld wrote in a popular tract: The “prophecy of Noah [quoted above] is the vade mecum [constant companion] of slaveholders, and they never venture abroad without it.”—The Bible Against Slavery, page 66.
But, first of all, please note that nothing is said in this Bible account about anyone’s being cursed with blackness of skin. And note, too, that it is Canaan, not his father Ham, who was cursed. Canaan was not black skinned, nor were his descendants who settled in the land that became known as Palestine. (Gen. 10:15-19) The Canaanites were, in time, subjugated by the Israelites, descendants of Shem, and later by Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome, descendants of Japheth. This subjugation of the Canaanites fulfilled the prophetic curse on their ancestor Canaan. The curse thus had nothing to do with the black race.
From where, then, did the black race come? From Ham’s other sons, Cush and probably also Put, whose descendants settled in Africa. But, as we have seen, the Bible says absolutely nothing about the black descendants of these men being cursed! Yet it was incorrectly assumed that they were. When did church commentators begin applying the curse to Ham?
A churchman of about 1,500 years ago, Ambrosiaster, applied it thus, saying: “Due to folly Ham, who foolishly ridiculed the nakedness of his father, was declared a slave.” And John F. Maxwell observes in his recent book Slavery and the Catholic Church: “This disastrous example of fundamentalist exegesis [explanation] continued to be used for 1,400 years and led to the widely held view that African Negroes were cursed by God.”
Even up to a hundred years ago the Catholic Church held the view that blacks were cursed by God. Maxwell explains that this view “apparently survived until 1873 when Pope Pius IX attached an indulgence to a prayer for the ‘wretched Ethiopians in Central Africa that almighty God may at length remove the curse of Cham [Ham] from their hearts.’”
Yet even before Christendom’s beginning 2000 years ago, yes, possibly even prior to Jesus Christ’s life on earth, Jewish rabbis taught a story about the origin of black skin. The Encyclopædia Judaica claims: “Ham’s descendant (Cush) Is black skinned as a punishment for Ham’s having had sexual intercourse in the ark.” Similar “stories” have been manufactured in modern times. Defenders of slavery, such as John Fletcher of Louisiana, for example, taught that the sin that prompted the curse by Noah was racial intermarriage. He claimed that Cain was smitten with a black skin for killing his brother Abel, and that Ham had sinned by marrying into the race of Cain. It is noteworthy, too, that Nathan Lord, president of Dartmouth College during the last century, also attributed Noah’s curse upon Canaan partly to Ham’s “forbidden intermarriage with the previously wicked and accursed race of Cain.”
But such teachings have no foundation whatsoever in the Bible. And there were persons in past centuries who showed that the curse uttered by Noah was wrongly being applied to blacks. For example, back in June 1700 Judge Samuel Sewall of Boston explained: “For Canaan is the person cursed three times over, without the mentioning of Cham [Ham]. . . . Whereas the Blackmores [Black race] are not descended of Canaan, but of Cush.”
Also, in 1762 a John Woolman published a treatise in which he argued that the application of this Biblical curse in such a way as to justify enslaving people and depriving them of their natural rights “is a supposition too gross to be admitted into the mind of any person who sincerely desires to be governed by solid principles.”
What great harm has resulted from the misapplication by churchmen of this Biblical curse! The slavery of African blacks, and their mistreatment since the days of slavery, can in no way be justified by the Bible. The truth is, blacks are not, and never were, cursed by God!
Is the Black Race Cursed? Some have attempted to justify their prejudice by claiming that God cursed the black race. However, no such curse is recorded in the Bible. True, Genesis 9:25 says: “Cursed be Canaan. Let him become the lowest slave to his brothers.” However, that oft-cited verse says nothing whatsoever about skin color. Besides, the black race evidently descended from a brother of Canaan named Cush. (Genesis 10:6, 7; in the “New World Translation Reference Bible” for Isaiah 43:3, where the name Cush is used to refer to the African country of thiopia.) Canaan’s descendants were evidently light-skinned—not black.
“God cursed the blacks”? This statement was used to support the slave trade and the subsequent oppression of the black people. How did it come about? Is this statement really in the Bible?
No, it is not. In Genesis, chapter 9, there is the account of Ham’s son Canaan, who was cursed by his grandfather, Noah, in these words: “Cursed be Canaan. Let him become the lowest slave to his brothers.” In the course of history, the Canaanites were subjected by the Israelites and later by various world powers. But did this fulfillment have anything to do with the black races? No. How do we know? Simply because none of Canaan’s offspring were black. In fact, it was Ham’s other sons, Cush and Put, who settled in Africa and fathered the races of black people living there. The Bible does not say that these other sons or their descendants were cursed by God.
In the face of this evidence, why do people still cling to this myth? In some countries, as in the United States prior to the Civil War, economic advantages in certain areas fit conveniently into such a pattern of thinking. For other individuals, the nurturing of a feeling of superiority may make them feel good. The fact remains, however, that the Bible does not say the black people are, or ever were, cursed by God. So, with the Bible in hand, there is no need to be misled at any time. Anyway, is it not fairer and safer to check it for yourself, rather than to accept hearsay? Then you can be sure that your faith will be strengthened by the many good things the Bible has to say! (2 Tim. 3:16)

I find it a little sad that a black republican politician, that just lost an election Nov 2020, feels the need to pivot and pretend "systemic racism" doesn't exist in any manner in the US simply because he's hoping to stay relevant as a republican and build his brand. And I believe his message is purely political because he and his wife KNOW and have acknowledged blacks are oppressed, but spins the "oppressors" into those well-intentioned democrats and their history of trying to help too much. As if blacks just thrived in conservative-run states and cities over the decades.

Likewise universal were sweeping judgments based in sex, race, or social status. These biased assumptions were not merely common; they were considered obvious and universal truths. Of course, the growing influence of a biblical worldview did not eradicate racism and oppression overnight. But biblical teaching is an inherent contradiction to racism and oppression, and, like a solvent steadily eating away at a material, the Bible progressively weakened those sins’ acceptance in society. In some cases, biblical ideals led to the abolition of practices that every other culture in history had embraced, such as slavery. Modern cultures impacted by a Christian heritage often take for granted that civil rights, racial equality, freedom, and so forth are moral imperatives. In truth, those beliefs are anchored in biblical teachings.
In broad strokes, Scripture places obligations on Christians to push back against systemic racism. The Bible promotes impartiality (James 2:1), the equality of all people (Genesis 1:27), concern for those who are oppressed (Zechariah 7:10; Proverbs 28:16), and fair treatment of the weak or poor (James 1:27; Proverbs 14:1). If some law, tradition, or interpretation of law truly has an unfair impact on one race, then that realization ought to spur Christians to action (James 4:17). And Christians ought to be open to the experiences and thoughts of others, rather than simply ignoring those perspectives (Proverbs 18:13, 17; John 7:24).
This does not mean every claim of “systemic racism” should result in the destruction of suspect laws or structures (Proverbs 11:29; 14:16; 29:8). Careful reflection and good judgment are important both in identifying and addressing these issues. Believers need to accept that systemic racism is possible. It cannot be dismissed out-of-hand. Believers ought to be open to the perspective of those who believe they have been victimized by it. We should be equally receptive to the perspectives of those who are blindsided by claims they are perpetuating racism (Galatians 6:1).
Christians need to be thorough and Christlike in their response (1 John 4:1; James 1:22; 1 Corinthians 13:4–6). Countering legitimate evil must be done according to a biblical worldview, not by embracing anti-biblical philosophies.

Politicians running for office (and really critics of politicians) can say whatever they want but once in charge and the real lives of their constituents are at stake based on their decisions, such life and death choices aren't quite as easy to make.
The very nature of "follow the science" could mean whatever a politician wants as long as they find any scientist that will agree with them.
I never said I favored "defund the police". I find the "defund the police" label kind of silly when the whole idea (outside of protesting teenagers who don't know much) is/was simply allocating monies away from weaponry with more money, perhaps on having social workers supporting the police on mental health interventions and incidents. The occassional city, though, has had success dismantling its own police force and contracting policing out to a county sherrif. Great way to clean house because decades of toxic culture might be sometimes difficult to overcome.

I tried to talk him out of it, for his sake, and mine. He told me he is a 'man of color', they will respect me. Well, I parked as far from the store as possible, and he went inside. They broke his nose, and one tooth, but he was glad they didn't get his wallet.

I used to make lots of bear jokes upon first moving to Alaska, but eventually that sheist got real, too. I know people can't truly appreciate something from only reading about it or only observing it or only hearing about it. It's all different when you're living it.

They never hurt me, nor did any of the redneck white men hurt me, but a couple of the godless redneck women who were neighbors did hurt me a great deal. When young I took some jobs that had me side by side with people of other colors, and my experience with them was fine.
No doubt it would be different in a big city.
I believe you that the inner city underbelly is not comprised of fine specimens of humanity. But I also know from experience what godless rednecks are really like, and they are certainly not a Norman Rockewell painting come to life. Several years ago, there was a well known journalist in Europe that had just retired. During an interview that was conducted soon after his retirement, he made the blockbuster statement that the "CIA controls virtually ALL of the major news outlets, including those in Europe."
I don't doubt the validity of that statement.
Whenever I run into individuals that are grossly misinformed about current events, history, etc., invariably, they get their "information" primarily from the main stream media. They also tend to be non-readers of books. Although there was a lot that I found disagreeable about Harry Truman, I read a quote from him that always stuck with me; "Never trust the opinion of anyone that doesn't read books." I spent the day reading and listing to some podcasts trying to figure out how self-professed biblical Christians could get so wrapped up in politics that they'd label their own Christian centrist brother a Marxist? I'm not even a woke Christian or into liberation theology. It's just odd.
I've found it goes back a long way...starting with William Lind (founder of theamericanconservative.com and writer for Epoch Times and others) whereby, following the end of the cold war and dismantling to "the wall" the republicans went about rebranding the entire culture war into a "Frankfurt" communist versus anti-communist battle.
William Lind took it even farther which, to me, explains the partnership between the New Age Republican party, New Age Protestants, the unchurched neo-conservatives and Opus Dei. It also explains why Republican-appointed Supreme Court Justices rubber-stamped and ceded so much of the culture war (i.e. - Roe v Wade, Obergfell, Citizen United). In order to keep more conservative americans fearful and engaged in "their" political battle and voting as "victims" of this supposed "marxist culture war" they HAD TO give up abortion and gay marriage because otherwise who would really believe Christians were ever in danger of losing the "Marxist Culture War". Anyone who takes a cool look at the last three decades of politics will think it bizarre that anyone could interpret what’s happened as the triumph of an all-powerful left. Clinton passed the Defense of Marriage Act and the Crime bill so all the left really "won" since 1980 was one black male president and Obamacare.

The Left has thrust Critical Race Theory (CRT) into our national narrative. Its tenets of “white privilege” and “white supremacy,” etc., are now both familiar and regrettably influential.
People are actively resisting CRT on all fronts, both local and national: In government, in academia, and in our military. Citizens from every race, ethnicity, economic class, and all walks of life; active-duty and retired Veterans; and a large segment of Christian and religious leaders have repudiated CRT and its teachings.
CRT does not unify; it is discriminatory and divisive. Thus far, CRT is achieving its proponents’ obvious goal, which is to divide Americans. We should expect this will be a prolonged and difficult conflict in the arena of ideas. Now is the time for patriots to act, so let’s take inventory of the tools we have and equip every culture warrior with the objective truths needed to win. Victory is achievable because of CRT’s deeply flawed, racist, anti-Biblical, and anti-American premises.
Most acknowledge that CRT is a derivative of Marxist ideology. The latter describes the social, economic, and political interaction within all societies as an inherently exploitative power struggle. CRT extrapolates the “oppressor” versus “oppressed” exploitation theory and uses it to characterize human relationships and the resulting social, economic, and political constructs and institutions as racist, with Whites cast specifically as the “irredeemably racist” oppressor.
Marxism is a godless ideology. It appeals to the most negative and destructive aspects of human nature: envy, jealousy, discontent, enmity, malice, and strife. There is nothing in Marxism that is aspirational and, therefore, nothing inherent in CRT is aspirational. CRT aims down, perpetuating a victim mentality and the notion of “systemic” and perpetual oppression. Marxist CRT ideologies only seek to tear down. They do not build up the individual or the structures and systems necessary for individuals to prosper or for just societies to thrive.
Inculcating CRT into American society would destroy America and its unsurpassed freedom and prosperity. If those who are behind CRT were honest, they would acknowledge this is their goal but, just as Marxist governments across the globe cannot be honest about their goals and their utter failures, adherents to Marxist CRT are equally hypocritical and dishonest to America’s citizens.
What is the alternative to CRT’s spread? It’s simple -- the ideals upon which America was founded are far better and provide the mechanisms which empower individuals to achieve positive outcomes. Freedom works, every time and in every application.
America’s Founders were heavily influenced by Judeo-Christian ethics. The American colonies were originally established because of the human desire for religious freedom; that is, to worship (or not) according to one’s own conscience. Our Founders looked to the principles, ethics, and tenets of a variety of Judeo-Christian faiths for guidance, which is evident in the Declaration of Independence:
“… the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God…” (the capital “G” in “God” bears witness that the Founders rightly ascribed a proper pronoun to the Creator, the Divine)
“…we hold these truths to be self-evident… endowed by their Creator...” (bears witness to a shared faith in the Almighty among each signer of the Declaration)
For the goal of establishing unity, consider the familiar Latin phrase “E Pluribus Unum” (Out of Many, One), which Congress formally accepted in 1782 for the Great Seal of America. The United States of America is best and strongest when we are unified and when our common bonds enable us to meet our shared challenges.
To defeat America, our enemies must succeed in dividing us.
When the Preamble to our Constitution states “to form a more perfect Union,” that language conveys two important principles: First, the Founders did not know everything, so they instituted a government that could be improved upon. Second, the Constitution and the government they formed were not perfect and would indeed need improvement.
The Founders understood that a country is a dynamic entity and that things in the future must change and improve. They prescribed a method to amend the Constitution that requires an overwhelming unity of purpose and two-thirds majority consent to enact reform. Unity is required for positive, long-term change.
I believe that the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s “I Have a Dream” speech, delivered on August 28, 1963, was divinely inspired. It certainly inspired a seismic shift in the American psyche and offered a far better vision of what is meant for America to live up to its founding ideals. Most notably:
“I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.’”
“I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.”
“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”
“I have a dream that one day…little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.”
Today’s Marxists who are advocating for CRT attempt to discredit Dr. King and disavow his approach to racial justice because a “white supremacist” assassinated him. This is a contemptible and cowardly attempt to deflect from honestly discussing Dr. King’s achievements and his persuasive arguments – many of which were based on Biblical scripture (which Marxists viscerally detest).
Dr. King’s words are still inspirational and aspirational because they have a spirit of forgiveness and redemption, an inherent hopefulness in America and her citizens, and confidence in the self-evident truth that the injustices that were allowed to exist in America were antithetical to its founding. Dr. King affirmed his faith in the goodness of America, and he advocated for a color-blind society that rewarded merit regardless of race. When we do this, we become stronger. We become “a more perfect union.”
Dr. King extolled the ideas of an American family, as “all of God’s children;” his message was of hope, faith, and “brotherly love.” These are all antithetical to CRT. Living and acting in accordance with what the Founders gave us – which is what Dr. King strived to see America become – is what we need to defeat CRT.
What path do we want to follow on our journey?
Our task has been and will continue to be difficult, and we will need to rely on and believe in that which is greater than ourselves. Our calling is to inspire in every American the commitment to regard all our neighbors as created with inherent, God-given dignity and purpose. This must be the foundation upon which we build a better future for our children, and preserve an America where all are present, with hands joined as brothers and sisters to enjoy the blessings provided at the banquet table of Freedom.

Other studies on ivermectin are still under way. In the UK, the University of Oxford is testing whether giving people with Covid-19 ivermectin prevents them ending up in hospital.
The Elgazzar study was one of the the largest and most promising showing the drug may help Covid patients, and has often been cited by proponents of the drug as evidence of its effectiveness. This is despite a peer-reviewed paper published in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases in June finding ivermectin is “not a viable option to treat COVID-19 patients”.
Meyerowitz-Katz told the Guardian that “this is one of the biggest ivermectin studies out there”, and it appeared to him the data was “just totally faked”. This was concerning because two meta-analyses of ivermectin for treating Covid-19 had included the Elgazzar study in the results. A meta-analysis is a statistical analysis that combines the results of multiple scientific studies to determine what the overall scientific literature has found about a treatment or intervention.
“Because the Elgazzar study is so large, and so massively positive – showing a 90% reduction in mortality – it hugely skews the evidence in favour of ivermectin,” Meyerowitz-Katz said.
“If you remove this one study from the scientific literature, suddenly there are very few positive randomised control trials of ivermectin for Covid-19. Indeed, if you get rid of just this research, most meta-analyses that have found positive results would have their conclusions entirely reversed.”
Kyle Sheldrick, a Sydney doctor and researcher, also independently raised concerns about the paper. He found numbers the authors provided for several standard deviations – a measure of variation in a group of data points – mentioned in tables in the paper were “mathematically impossible” given the range of numbers provided in the same table.“

NOTE: Clarification on X's post: ABP Vigano released a statement in which he enumerated upon the Vatican's false claims that it "knew nothing" about the long time scandalous behavior of Cardinal McCarrick. Vigano stated that he had documented evidence to prove that the Pope himself knew of McCarrick's homosexual abusive behavior, and did nothing about it. Vigano, now up in years, stated that he "feared the day that he would appear before Christ and would have to give an account" regarding his knowledge of this matter. I’m not defending or picking either side in Vigano v Pope bc they are the same side protecting the same interests. Opus Dei is largely an RCC asset protection plan.
