NEWT GINGRICH'S NEW AGE - JUST IN TIME FOR 2012?

CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT NEWT GINGRICH  AND "THE NEW AGE", "GLOBAL CIVIL SOCIETY" AND "GLOBAL GOVERNANCE"

Newt Gingrich has just announced he plans to run for President in 2012.  And a whole bunch of undiscerning “Conservatives” and “Christians” might just well back him.  The entire affair will be to the utter delight of New Age strategists and global planners who well consider Newt Gingrich an indispensable part of their apparatus.

Recently resigned State Department official Dr. Anne-Marie Slaughter believes that the “New World Order” of which she is an unashamed proponent is already well in place.  It is a network of networks, per Slaughter.  It is composed of equivalent globalized governmental layers from all levels of government from the executive to the legislative and judiciary and down through various levels of bureaucracies including  regulatory commissions sharing information and planning “model legislation” together.  All levels also interact with “Non-governmental organizations” (NGO’s).  Business is tied together by “The UN Global Compact.”  Perhaps nobly, more aptly scarily is this obviously global fascistic goal as stated by former UN General Kofi Annan, of “shared values and principles, which give a human face to the global market.” (emphasis added).  All corporate participants are expected to pledge allegiance to the principles of “diversity” and “fighting climate change” (defined at least at present as “global warming.)

Query:  What “shared values”?  What “shared principles”?  Also, the “banking crisis” artificially generated or otherwise, has led to calls for “a new financial architecture for the 21st Century.  (Slaughter, A NEW WORLD ORDER, p. 20).

Now, just how does NEWT GINGRICH, fit into the increasing momentum of the global governance agenda?  He was, bluntly, an “early adopter.”  In 1996 before he left Congress in scandal, he was putting together incredibly linked global governance networks.  According to Anne-Marie Slaughter’s 2004 Princeton University Press book, A NEW WORLD ORDER:

“When Newt Gingrich was Speaker of the House, he was convinced that parliamentary networks would give domestic legislators a new role in foreign policy.  In 1996 he sent a letter to his Russian counterpart, Gennadyy Seleznyov, to create a forum made up of members of U.S. and Russian legislatures to discuss issues of defense, foreign policy, energy, and the environment on a regular basis.  The result was the U.S. Congress-Russian Duma Study Group.”

Newt Gingrich did this at the “legislative level.”  His very good friend and New Age buddy, Al Gore, did likewise at the  executive level.  According to Anne-Slaughter, “The [Gore’s]commission created a special channel to advance not only common political objectives but also to enhance each politician’s political position at home.” (emphasis added) (Slaughter, A NEW WORLD ORDER, p. 114)

Wading deeper and deeper into global government (ooops, governance) territories, Newt Gingrich created “the Twenty-First Century International Legislators Network.”  This, per Slaughter, he “launched in 1996.”  It was “sponsored” by the U.S. Congressional Institute.  This was to be “a global web of legislators.”

If Gingrich were talking, which he undoubtedly non-stop is, he would probably say it was “to strengthen democracy around the world.”  Knowing the New Age agenda as I do, I would say that was neither probable nor possible.  Considering that one of Newt Gingrich’s more recent books is entitled A CONTRACT WITH THE EARTH, Earth Charter ramifications are abundantly clear.

I opened my personal file on Newt Gingrich in 1982 after reading articles about him in Marilyn Ferguson’s LEADING EDGE BULLETIN.  She wrote of the brave Georgian Congressman, Newt Gingrich, who was working so hard to advance the New Age agenda.  I continued to follow his exploits through his insensitive serving of divorce papers on his first wife Jackie as she was recovering from cancer surgery; his remarriage to his aide Marianne; his affair while married to Marianne to the woman now his wife.  In 1989, I was contacted by one of his former aides and campaign managers, a man known as “Chip”.  This was the same  close observer and former aide quoted in the press as saying that no matter how much good he did for the world, he could never do enough good to offset the evil he had caused by supporting Newt Gingrich’s original election campaign.  The “Christian” Gingrich wrote Chip that his daily practice of Taoism helped him make his daily decisions in Congress.

Mark Satin's website has this interesting entry:

"[Newt] Gingrich's influence in the third way movement [has] brought on kudos from the likes of New Age 'philosopher' Mark Satin [who has] identified Gingrich as a top 'decentralist / globally responsible' [thinker].  An interesting paradox, that fits the odd decentralism of the Third Way. . . .  Beyond that, Mr. Satin . . . is not the kind of man you expect to be praising [Gingrich]."
-- Steve Farrell & Diane Alden, "Third Way Contract," Independent American Party , c. January 2005”

Newt Gingrich wrote in many of his official bio’s for conservative causes that his degree was in “history.”  In actuality, it was in the New Age full employment program of “Environmental Studies.”  In the mid 1980s, Mark Satin, author of NEW AGE POLITICS and NEW OPTIONS newsletter gave “Internationalist” rankings for Congressmen.  Heading the list with the best “internationalist” voting records in Congress were Newt Gingrich and Marci Kapteyn, a Congresswoman from Toledo, Ohio.

Another interesting analysis of Newt Gingrich appeared in a 1986 edition of the Los Angeles Times.  It noted how he was most likely a left leaner, but learned that the right got the votes.  Ergo, he suddenly veered course to the right.   That analysis troubles me more than the Alvin Toffler, Heidi Toffler, Environmental Studies analyses which are a red flag of New Age danger in and of themselves..  It suggests a man who is more amoral than immoral.  Such a person to my way of thinking is most dangerous of all – he does nothing from conviction or reason, but does all from a analysis of personal advantage.

Another astute Gingrich watcher is writer Steve Farrell.  You can read his 2001 analysis by clicking the link here.  Excerpting in part, we read:

On November 11, 1994, still bubbling and cocksure over the Republican takeover of both Houses, his coming coronation as Speaker of the House, and his annointing as King of the Republican Revolution, Gingrich couldn't resist exploiting the moment to put in a free plug for something he so devoutly believed in.
"The core of our Contract," and the solution for those "trying to figure out how to put me in a box," he said, could be found in a book by futurist Alvin Toffler called "The Third Way;" to which he added: "I am a conservative futurist ." (1)
Futurism, as already alluded to, is one and the same with the Third Way or Third Wave, but for brevity sake, Webster's Dictionary gives us another take on this subject.
"Futurism: Study of, and interest in, forecasting or anticipating the future, or theorizing on how to impose controls on events." (2)
Or in other words, a head in the clouds political philosophy, complete with theories and forecasts, which envisions the use of force to insure those theories and forecasts come to past.
It would not be a stretch to call it communism with economic vision, for that is what the futurists of the Third Way call it. But, what then, is a conservative futurist? If we believe Newt Gingrich, it is in person, a post 1994 Republican. And it is in policy, the Contract With America, the go along, get along policies of a party who for the next six year "caved" under Clinton, and the faith-based subsidies, public private partnership, fast track hopes, and bipartisan spirit of today’s Compassionate Conservativism movement - the latter of which had its start in the legislation and underlying principles of that same Gingrich Contract . . .”

Perhaps Newt Gingrich is not really an ideological New Ager, but instead is one who saw political advantage at the time as portraying himself in certain circles as one.  As dangerous as an ideologue of any stripe potentially is, I would prefer one to a self-centered narcissist.  Perhaps an ideologue could be converted.  A narcissist could only be reinforced.  While we are all sinners in need of saving by Grace, I fear we have somebody in public life who lacks both conviction and shame.

Germany once put somebody in office that bragged that if one repeated a lie often enough and loud enough, people would believe it.  Too many people do.  I fear that the USA may well be on the verge of doing the same vis a vis Newt Gingrich.   As far as the Christians not seeing through Newt Gingrich, this is what I have to say to them.  “If you couldn’t see through Rev. Moon (“Lord of the Second Advent) and you couldn’t see through Paul N. Temple (Institute of Noetic Sciences co-founder active with the Prayer Breakfast Network of Douglas Coe), then I can hardly expect you to see through Newt Gingrich!

May the Lord help us all!

Stay tuned!

Gosh, I sure hope not! Seems there are others who might be more popular with conservatives and middle=of the roaders, such as Pawlenty, even Cain, who did well at a Fox News supported debate of Republican candidates.

    Paul,

    A very important ingredient indeed!

    Double double toil and trouble.

    Fire burn, and caldron bubble.

    Fillet of a fenny snake,
    In the caldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
    Adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting,
    Lizard's leg, and owlet's wing,—
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble........

    Sorry to see
Newt Gingrich, who is only a possible (republican) presidential candidate, receive such a tirade while our current islamic President slid into office without so much as a whimper from this site. Berry’s AC and New Age leanings are far more evident than any other candidate regardless of party. You’re worried about a snake in the road while ignoring the charging Rhino.

I said plenty about Obama, but I did choose to ignore the very ridiculous "birther" arguments. Some of you were rabid and fell so very well for that particular brand of "watch the fundamentalist run" game, thus negating in the public eye of many our valid arguments concerning his stance on homosexuality and abortion.

Pawlenty? Cain, the Godfather's Pizza guy? Someone actually took that debate seriously? Conservatives have one agenda--to continue to increase the income of the weathy and break the backs of those in poverty. They call themselves Christian? How dare they! They continue to pass laws making it impossible for the poor or their children to escape poverty. What part of feed the hungry, clothe the naked don't they get? If Jesus said it, then guess what--it's important!

Believe me, Jesus will separate those goats from the sheep for sure!

When I commented on Pawlenty and Cain...I did not
necessarily "take seriously" the debate on Fox News of five declared Republican candidates. I am not a big fan of any person running for president. I supported Huckabee in 2008 but I have lost enthusiasm for him as well, partly because he seems to be anti-Medicare, and does not seem to take into account that some people end up poor in spite of being hard workers and moral, etc.

However, I know that if I am still on earth at voting time in 2012, I will vote for someone if I can limp to the polling place. I voted for McCain even though I had to go on a "walker", not because I was enthusiastic about McCain, but because I could see where the agenda of his opponent would lead. McCain was my first Republican vote, after a lifetime of voting for people who "stood for the little guy."

I finally have realized that the is little humane in politics or government. But we have to have a government under our Constitution, unless we get rid of the Constitution. Therefore, I will have to vote for someone. I will vote for the least obnoxious.

Herman Cain probably would be against Medicare too but he might at least be a good business manager. Perhaps the best we can hope for is a good business executive in the Presidency, someone who will try to straighten out the economic mess. But it is probably too late to straighten it out, after the combined efforts of decades of Republicans and Democrats to undermine it.

Jesus said to render unto Caesar that which is Caesar. Would Jesus vote? I don't know. I guess the populace did not vote in ancient Judea, so it didn't come up.

  15. Constance, a small correction: I am from Toledo, OH and the congresswoman's name is Marcy Kaptur. She has been impossible to unseat here as the main populace of her district is in the very heavily unionized, automotive-centric, and democratic county of Lucas.

As far as presidential elections, I tend to stay away from the "vote for the lesser of two evils or else you're automatically throwing your vote to the worse of two evils" mentality that is always employed by the politicos to put everyone into a box in which they are convinced that they only have two choices: democrat or republican. That is a load. Last election cycle, in most states, there were six choices. I voted my conscience, which was neither democrat nor republican. And, no, it wasn't even libertarian either, but I did cast a vote for president. I think that people need to educate themselves as to the entire selection of candidates and vote for who they feel is the RIGHT choice, not the one who is more likely to have enough votes to have a chance of defeating the worst candidate.

Re:They call themselves Christian? How dare they! They continue to pass laws making it impossible for the poor or their children to escape poverty. What part of feed the hungry, clothe the naked don't they get?

And Obama and his motley crew of radicals dare to call themselves "Christian?"

    Puh-lease!!!

In case you are not aware of it, this is the same "conscientization" jive used by Marxists with a view to manipulating people into feeling guilty about legitimately acquiring wealth and about supporting the kind of moderate free market capitalist economy that has made this country great.

It is also part of the "politics of envy."

Since we are bringing the Bible into this, envy is one of the seven capital sins according to the Bible.

According to the politics of envy, productivity and profitability is to be punished while incompetence and unprofitability is to be rewarded as everything is dragged down to one dead level of mediocrity in the name of "fairness and/or "political correctness" - which precludes even the idea of "winners" while praising ablebodied albeit lazy "losers" for whom "feeding off of the public trough" has been elevated to the status of a "virtue."

Don't get me wrong. I am as much against laissez-faire capitalism as I am against socialism and communism. At the end of the day, there isn't much difference between one regime in which the means of production are concentrated in the hands of a few "commissars" and another in which the means of production are concentrated in the hands of a few laissez faire "capitalists" or fascists. In either case the means of production winds up being concentrated in the hands of an elite few while the plight of the poor remains the same except for those who tragically feel themselves compelled to sell their consciences for bread to those who "redistribute the wealth" only to those who show themselvces willing to "toe the party line."

A perfect example of "state capitalism" is China.

I don't think that those who support the Conservative Republicans object to the maintenance of a social safety net for those who through no fault of their own are down and out.

However, there are many who are "down and out" through their own fault and instead of taking responsibility for their own failures, they like to blame people like Cain who revived the Godfather's Pizza chain and prevented it from going down the tubes along with all the jobs it provided.

The ones who are continuing to "pass laws making it impossible for the poor or their children to escape poverty" are the radical leftist Democrats and their RINO counterparts who have a vested interest in preserving their "plantation politics" which involves making as many people as possible dependent on the state through unlimited welfare and unemployment benefits which, if anything creates more of a "moral hazard" than it does a "benefit."

What about hard working families who cannot escape poverty beause they are being taxed to death in order to provide slackers with the kinds of things that they cannot afford for their own families???

The cure for the "moral hazard" created by welfare run amok is not to be found in the Bible where it talks about "feeding the hungry" and "clothing the naked."

It is to be found in 2Thessalonians 3::10

For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat."

George Soros' ties to 30 major news organizations

When liberal investor George Soros gave $1.8 million to National Public Radio, it became part of the firestorm of controversy that jeopardized NPR’s federal funding. But that gift only hints at the widespread influence the controversial billionaire has on the mainstream media. Soros, who spent $27 million trying to defeat President Bush in 2004, has ties to more than 30 mainstream news outlets – including The New York Times, Washington Post, the Associated Press, NBC and ABC.

Prominent journalists like ABC’s Christiane Amanpour and former Washington Post editor and now Vice President Len Downie serve on boards of operations that take Soros cash. This despite the Society of Professional Journalists' ethical code stating: “avoid all conflicts real or perceived.”

I don't have a copy of the Obamacare fiasco in front of me, so I question if this is really so, but if it is indeed true, it is quite interesting, to say the least. Well, I still think Obamacare is unconstitutional anyway.

I have this theory about socialism. Once we followers of Christ increase in our charity for our fellow man, there will be no need (or perceived need, if you prefer) for socialism, therefore no demand for it.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Susanna2:07 PM

    Smallfarm,

Your sentiments are very true and very good.

As followers of Christ, we must always be increasing in Charity ( love of God and neighbor).

And this is the very thing that socialists seek to exploit along with the "plight of the poor."

But we must be wary of assuming that our being more charitable will necessarily provide a permanent antidote against socialism.

This is because socialism is not about "sharing the wealth" with the poor. It is about power! It is about CONTROLLING the wealth and redistributing it only to those who are willing to toe the party line.

Even where there are no problems, socialists manufacture problems. That is what "Agitprop" is all about.

Have you not noticed that as the socialists in our government keep running out of "other peoples' money," they keep redefining the "rich"?

And where the "politics of envy" are at play, the "have nots" are also going to be redefined - in terms of not having everything they WANT even if they already have everything they NEED.

    ReplyDelete
  21. SmallFarm2:13 PM

When I say 'charity' I mean true charity, not government enforced servitude to the masses. The powers that be only have power because the people give it to them. They have created the situation where people are dependant upon them, however if we hold our brothers upon our shoulders, even at the sacrifice of our selves (taking up Christ's cross), they will no longer have a dependacy on "them" and will no longer consent to give them power =D

The God Within documentary - exposing the false philosophy of modern science

This mini-documentary by Mike Adams the Health Ranger exposes the false philosophy underpinning most of modern science. It explains why science is rooted in evil and destruction while harming life on our planet: GMOs, vaccines, psychiatric drugs, nuclear weapons -- they've all been pursued and promoted under the brand of "science." And yet, shockingly, modern scientists do not believe human beings are conscious beings. They claim we are all just "biological robots" which provides the philosophical pretext for genocide. 40. BARBARA MARX HUBBARD is speaking tonight (5/14/2011) at the 60th anniversary dinner of THE WAINWRIGHT HOUSE. The Wainwright House has clearly been occultly oriented since its very beginnings. It was founded by what they were then calling THE LAYMEN'S MOVEMENT. Probably lay Theosophists in very bad Christian disguise! They were also responsible for the Meditation Room at the UN. Curiously enough, the Billy Graham evangelistic team doing the Madison Square Garden Crusade in NYC in, as I recall 1954 or so, was said to have been "filled with the Holy Spirit" in a prayer session led by Leighton Ford at the WAINWRIGHT HOUSE. This was reported in Pat Robertson's book SHOUT IT FROM THE HOUSETOPS.

I rather suspect that the Wainwright House has never been a Holy Spirit hangout. If it ever was, which I sincerely doubt, Barbara Marx Hubbard's speaking role there tonight confirms it is not presently so.

For the record, Barbara Marx Hubbard is close to PAUL N. TEMPLE, the co-founder and chief financial angel of THE INSTITUTE OF NOETIC SCIENCES. The very same PAUL N. TEMPLE was and is close to DOUG COE, BILLY GRAHAM and was close to ABRAHAM (ABRAM) VEREIDE, the founder of Coe's C Street / Prayer Breakfast Network group.

It was Paul Temple, Doug Coe, and Barbara Marx Hubbard that put together the Gold Lake gathering in 1987.

    Smallfarm,

This is anon 8:13. Yes, "Love God with all your heart, soul, and mind" and "Love your neighbor as yourself" are where all of it points. Every Christian claims to know these truths, but how many actually work every day to live them in practice especially when they are not fun and require......Sacrifice (a dying to the "self".)

A Faith so simple even a child can understand it, yet even the most intellectually gifted of His creatures can never even begin to exhaust its riches or comprehend the depth of His love.

  47. I posted this comment on my own blog regarding Alice Bailey's A Treatise on Cosmic Fire, and I thought there may be some interest over here:

The Solar Logos is also the Solar Trinity consisting of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit with the following seven corresponding "Aspects/Attributes." Note how The Holy Spirit is loaded compared to the others:
    The Father - Will Aspect
    The Son -- Love-Wisdom Aspect
The Holy Spirit -- Active Intelligence Aspect; + Harmony or Beauty Attribute; Concrete or Knowledge Attribute; Devotion or Idealism Attribute; Ceremonial Magic Attribute.

Also, note that this is a "Trinity" of three (of course) yet there are a total of seven "Aspects" and "Attributes." Now here's text from A Treatise on Cosmic Fire:

"...[T]hese seven Hierarchies are (as says H. P. B.) the sevenfold ray of wisdom, the dragon in its seven forms..." [p 146]

The dragon?! You mean the one of Revelation 12 and 13, etc.? Here's the corresponding footnote which references Subba Rao in Five Years of Theosophy p 102:

"As a general rule, whenever seven entities are mentioned in the ancient occult science of India in any connection whatsoever, you must suppose that those seven entities came into existence from three primary entities; and that these three entities, again, are evolved out of a single entity or monad..."

This sets up the explanation of the reintegration of all with the exclusion of matter as in 1st/2nd century Dualistic Gnosticism and some forms of Kabbalah:

"The Mahadeva, aspect or the first Logos (who embodies cosmic will) [the Solar Logos] is controlled by the Law of Synthesis, the cosmic law governing the tendency to unification; only in this case, it is not the unification of matter and Spirit, but the unification of the seven into the three, and into the one. These three figures primarily stand for Spirit, [148] for quality, for principle, and not so primarily for matter, although matter, being inspired by spirit, conforms..." [pp 147-48]

This means that once the "Christ within" or the "divine spark" -- the 'spirit' -- in all of creation is 'liberated' from its "shell," or matter [matter is considered evil], all will be joined back together so that "god" is complete once again and we are again joined with "god." This is the occult version of the "marriage supper of the Lamb."

After the title page of the book quoted from above is a short poem from the Sh'vet Upanishad, II.17; and, here's an extract:

"...To the God Who has suffused Himself through all the world..."

And, one more note of interest. On page 148 is the following regarding the "first Logos" aka Solar Logos which explains more yet also provides another name:

"...The mystery lies in the realization that all is carried on in a divine cooperation that has its base outside the system. Hence too the fact that the first Logos is called the Destroyer, because He is abstraction, if viewed from below upwards. His work is the synthesis of Spirit with Spirit, their [149] eventual abstraction from matter, and their unification with their cosmic source. Hence also He is the one who brings about pralaya or the disintegration of form, - the form from which the Spirit has been abstracted..." [ pp 148-149]

I'm assuming this is the same "Destroyer" from Revelation 9:11 regarding the king over the Abyss [From biblegateway.com with accompanying footnote]:

11 They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek, Apollyon.[a] [NIV 1984]

    Footnotes:
[a] Revelation 9:11 Abaddon and Apollyon mean Destroyer.

Per your RFID comment, it is correct that HR 3962 did not include the same language concerning a database on Class II implantable devices. However, as many are aware, my issue with all of the versions of the bill as it relates to RFID was never about this section. What has always concerned me from the start were the committees and guidelines that are to be created post passage of the bill.

There are sections within the bill that directly deal with traceability that simply state that structures suggested by various offices would be implemented, without ever giving real indication for what these offices had suggested. In many ways these parts of the bill are like a blank check for these offices which include NCVHS and ONCHIT. What is far more troubling is that in examining the committees that have been created as a result of the bill, and looking at who is being invited as advisors in their meetings, you constantly see names like Positive ID, EPC Global, GE Health, Google Health, etc.

HHS approves 200 more new healthcare reform waivers

The Obama administration approved 204 new waivers to Democrats' healthcare reform law over the past month, bringing the total to 1,372.

The waivers are temporary and only apply to one provision of the law, which requires health plans to offer at least $750,000 worth of annual medical benefits before leaving patients to fend for themselves. Still, Republicans have assailed the waivers as a sign of both favoritism and of major problems with the law.

"The fact that over 1,000 waivers have been granted is a tacit admission that the healthcare law is fundamentally flawed," Energy and Commerce Chairman Fred Upton (R-Mich.) said in March. Upton is one of three House committee chairmen who has used new oversight powers to investigate the annual limit waivers.

Administration officials say the law allows the Health and Human Services Department to grant the waivers to avoid disrupting the insurance market before the law overhauls the insurance system in 2014. They say the waivers are granted through a transparent process.

LAWYER: IMF CHIEF DENIES NYC SEX ASSAULT CHARGES

NEW YORK – The leader of the International Monetary Fund, a possible candidate for president of France, was yanked from an airplane moments before it was to depart for Paris and arrested in the alleged sexual assault of a hotel maid, police said.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn, 62, was arrested on charges of a criminal sex act, attempted rape and unlawful imprisonment. He had been taken off the Air France flight at John F. Kennedy International Airport on Saturday afternoon by police officers.

Strauss-Kahn's lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, told The Associated Press that his client will plead not guilty at his expected Sunday afternoon arraignment.

"He denies all the charges against him," Brafman said. "And that's all I can really say right now."

France woke to the news Sunday with a measure of surprise.

Strauss-Kahn was expected to be the main challenger against President Nicolas Sarkozy, whose political fortunes have been flagging, in next year's presidential elections. The arrest could shake up the race and throw the long-divided Socialists back into disarray about who they could present as Sarkozy's opponent

I.M.F. CHIEF'S ARREST THROWS FRENCH POLITICS INTO DISARRAY

PARIS — For months, France has been buzzing with speculation that Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the popular chief of the International Monetary Fund, would quit his job in Washington to take on President Nicolas Sarkozy in next year’s presidential elections. But on Sunday, French politicians and media met news of his arrest in New York for alleged sexual aggression with stunned disbelief and expressions of national humiliation.

The incident threw Mr. Strauss-Kahn’s political party, the Socialists, into confusion and set the stage for a new political calculus that could allow the National Front, the far-right party led by its founder’s daughter, Marine Le Pen, to become a more dominant force during the election campaign.

Even as pollsters cautioned against rushing to judgment and as Mr. Strauss-Kahn’s lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, said his client “will plead not guilty,” his would-be rivals were quick to declare his political death.

“He’s definitely discredited,” Ms. Le Pen said Sunday on French television. “The case and the charges mark the end of his campaign for the presidency, and will likely prompt the IMF to ask him to leave his post.”

By the way, in the Traditionalist School jargon, one word I have come across frequently is the word Integral. In fact, the very first sentence of the article on the Traditionalist School reads:

The term Traditionalist School has been introduced by Mark Sedgwick and few other people to denote a school of thought, also known as Integral Traditionalism (in the sense of Integral spirituality) or Perennialism (in the sense of perennial philosophy, or philosophia perennis) to denote an esoteric movement developed by authors such as French thinker René Guénon, German-Swiss philosopher Frithjof Schuon, the Ceylonese-British scholar Ananda Coomaraswamy, or, with some controversy, Julius Evola, Titus Burckhardt, Martin Lings, Jean-Louis Michon, Marco Pallis, Huston Smith, and Seyyed Hossein Nasr.......

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/
    Traditionalist_School

I did a little investigating and learned from some sources that the word "integral" is synonymous with "totalitarian" and is being used as a euphemism for "totalitarian."

Upon further investigation, I discovered that wikipedia has a whole article dedicated to this term. Look at some of the ideas and people associated with the word "integral." ( i.e. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin )

    INTEGRAL (SPIRITUALITY)

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/
    Integral_(spirituality)

Among the terms in the article is "evolutionary enlightenment."

    EVOLUTIONARY ENLIGHTENMENT

Evolutionary Enlightenment is a philosophy that mixes teachings about Enlightenment from Eastern traditions with a Western scientific understanding of evolution.

Evolutionary Enlightenment is inspired, on one hand, by the teachings of Ramana Maharshi and the Buddhist tradition. On the other hand, it also follows in the tradition of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, Sri Aurobindo, Henri Bergson, Alfred North Whitehead, and the German Idealist philosophers. In contemporary culture, it is associated with the work of Andrew Cohen, founder of EnlightenNext, and Ken Wilber, the leading figure in the Integral movement.

The ideas of Evolutionary Enlightenment have been discussed and elucidated over the past five years by Cohen and Wilber in the pages of EnlightenNext magazine, as well as in Wilber’s recent book Integral Spirituality. An evolutionary approach to Enlightenment or self-realization is also outlined in the work of Dr. Beatrice Bruteau, a Teilhardian scholar and theologian, and mentioned in the recent bestseller A New Earth by Eckhart Toll. The cultural relevance of this approach to spirituality has been recognized by those studying broader cultural change, such as Spiral Dynamics author Dr. Don Beck, who has called it “a map or model for personal emergence, showing the qualities that individuals must embody to become the leaders we now need.”

    Craig,

I am glad you found the additional info helpful

"Christ" is certainly misused and abused by New Agers - albeit AFTER they have severed Christ from Jesus.

For New Agers, Jesus is merely a "human vessel" while "the Christ" is merely an amorphous impersonal cosmic entity analogous to "The Force" of Star Wars which can be magically tapped into by anyone who is privy to the right incantations, rituals or meditation techniques.

From what I have read, Kingdom Now is "charismatic." Within the Charismatic Movement as a whole, there have been many instances of degeneration into the heretical gnostic mode in which "private revelations" ( a.k.a. "word of knowledge?") tend to trump the Sacred Scriptures....even when said "private revelations" go contrary to Holy Writ.

One of the things about Dominionism that has drawn my attention is something called
"Evangelical Environmentalism" which has reportedly bought into the myth of human-induced climate change.

  80. Susanna,

No, I've never heard of The Green Bible. Interestingly, NT Wright seems to be popular among Emergents and hyper-charismatics. You're probably aware that Romans 8:20-21 are verses quoted by those who adhere to the heretical Manifest Sons of God [MSoG] doctrine which teaches that certain overcomers will receive their post-resurrection bodies in the here and now.

Alice Bailey teaches this same thing which occurs at the fourth initiation(of five human initiations). In the Baily model, the only way to see the emerging "kingdom of God" is to be a manifested son of God. This is, in essence the MSoG teaching. I point this out in my current article.

In addition, as you probably know, Genesis 1:28 is a favorite of Dominionists, and hyper-charismatics have essentially redefined the Great Commission to be the "first commission" of Gen 1:28. The belief is that Satan won dominion at the Fall in the Garden of Eden and Jesus Christ at the Cross won it back; so, our job is to reclaim it. They thereby preach "the gospel of kingdom" as differentiated from "the Gospel."

    Newt Gingrich: Health Care Socialist

Gingrich made the case on Meet the Press yesterday, not for a free market in medical care and medical insurance, but for Gingrichcare.

Interesting that back in 1993 Gingrich said he favored the federal government requiring individuals to buy health insurance and then subsidizing individuals’ purchase of health insurance on a “sliding scale” determined by their income. Now he supports requiring all individuals to buy health insurance, post a bond to pay for health care, or in some way indicate that they are going to be accountable.

Is any of this a surprise? I think Gingrich for president will turn out to be a total flop like Giuliani for president.

Correct me if I am mistaken, Craig, but it is my understanding that your use of the term "hypercharismatic" is to designate those "Charismatic" teachers and groups in recent decades which attribute extremely unusual, non-biblical manifestations in their meetings to the action of the Holy Spirit

If so, I personally know of one particular and well documented "Catholic" instance of this sort of hyper-charismaticism run amok ( the Orthodox frequently refer to them as "charismaniacs" ) whose founder and leader claimed to be "Christ's twin" and announced that the Second coming of Christ was to occur in the town where the headquarters of his group had been established.

In one of the so-called "prophecies" that was incorporated into their brand of "victim theology" it was "revealed" that they would be "persecuted" and as a result might have to "go underground."

Indeed, they did "go underground" -after they were booted out of the diocese by the local Catholic bishop after being exposed in an award winning article written by an investigative journalist who went on to win a much deserved Pulitzer Prize for another article he wrote.

I have been following the activities of at least two known former members of this group for many years, and my sources tell me that they have since been attempting to set up shop in new places and under new names.

Yes, you are correct regarding the definition of the term "hyper-charismaticism" as I define it. I prefer this one over the other term since it doesn't appear to be as personally offensive a label although others use it.

I'm trying very hard to find outright Dualistic Gnostic elements (spirit is good, matter is evil) in the teachings of some; but, I've not yet been successful. Many do seem to think anything spiritual is good; but, I've not seen evidence of matter being evil.

(NewsCore) - TEHRAN -- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad could become president of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) after he announced that he would temporarily take over Iran's oil ministry, Iranian news agency Mehr News reported Monday.

In televised remarks a day earlier Ahmadinejad said he would be the "caretaker" head of the oil ministry after he dismissed the incumbent minister over the weekend.

And because Iran currently holds the OPEC presidency -- which rotates -- Ahmadinejad could end up as OPEC president...

Christine Lagarde was once a lawyer in (of all places) Chicago!!!

She began working for the Chicago law firm Baker and McKenzie in 1981.

Lagarde was born in Paris as Christine Lallouette to academic parents. She attended secondary school in Le Havre (Seine-Maritime) and in Bethesda, Maryland at Holton Arms School. Then she graduated from law school (Paris X), and obtained a Master's Degree from the Institut d'études politiques d'Aix-en-Provence.

Lagarde worked as an intern at the United States Capitol, as William Cohen's congressional assistant.

Lagarde is a former member of the French national synchronised swimming team.

    Baker & McKenzie

Lagarde joined Baker & McKenzie in 1981. She joined the executive committee in 1995 and was elected Chairman in October 1999.

In 2004, Lagarde became president of the global strategic committee.

Of the law firm, Lagarde said Baker & McKenzie is "a very democratic environment, which values people in terms of their work and their contribution".[6]

Her personal interest in European affairs led her to open the European Law Centre, an office of Baker & McKenzie in Brussels exclusively dedicated to the practice of European Union law...

Israel Expects Obama to Take Back ‘1967 Lines’ Demand

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was quick on the draw Thursday in voicing clear displeasure with President Barack Obama’s mideast policy speech.

“Israel appreciates President Obama’s commitment to peace,” the response began, curtly. “Israel believes that for peace to endure between Israelis and Palestinians, the viability of a Palestinian state cannot come at the expense of the viability of the one and only Jewish state.”

“That is why Prime Minister Netanyahu expects to hear a reaffirmation from President Obama of U.S. commitments made to Israel in 2004, which were overwhelmingly supported by both Houses of Congress.”

“Among other things,” Netanyahu reminded Obama, “those commitments relate to Israel not having to withdraw to the 1967 lines which are both indefensible and which would leave major Israeli population centers in Judea and Samaria beyond those lines.”

“Those commitments also ensure Israel’s well-being as a Jewish state by making clear that Palestinian refugees will settle in a future Palestinian state rather than in Israel.”

“Without a solution to the Palestinian refugee problem outside the borders of Israel, no territorial concession will bring peace.”

“Equally, the Palestinians, and not just the United States, must recognize Israel as the nation state of the Jewish people, and any peace agreement with them must end all claims against Israel.”

“Prime Minister Netanyahu will make clear that the defense of Israel requires an Israeli military presence along the Jordan River.”

“Prime Minister Netanyahu will also express his disappointment over the Palestinian Authority’s decision to embrace Hamas, a terror organization committed to Israel’s destruction, as well as over Mahmoud Abbas’s recently expressed views which grossly distort history and make clear that Abbas seeks a Palestinian state in order to continue the conflict with Israel rather than end it.”

I found myself exploring the vanshardware website this morning. This led me to see something I had not seen before. The writer was exploring the background of the Georgia Guidestones. This led to a connection with Burj Khalifa and its similarity to the Tower of Babel.

I think the writer makes a strong case for the connection between New Age plans, the Islamic community and the role it believes it is playing in the future. Putting up the building is a slap at believers in God and what he did to the Tower of Babel, saying you can't destroy this one. Like those who built the first Tower, Muslims believe they are uniting all countries under the control of believers in Islam.

There is no way to show all that has been written about this possibility.

Burj Khalifa, a skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (tallest man-made structure on Earth.

    http://vanshardware.com/tag/burj-khalifa/

"The odd, narrow proportions of the Guidestones, 1 : 4 : 10, appear to point to the date January 4th, 2010 which coincides with the completion of the Burj Dubai, a fantastically tall, new building erected in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. If the two structures are truly connected in this manner, it almost certainly symbolizes the completion of a new Tower of Babel and the beginning of a New World Order where man — or more accurately certain men — can now reach godhood. It may, in fact, indicate that the builders believe an Antichrist has arrived."

LEGAL CASE COULD AFFECT LAGARDE IMF PROSPECTS

What Lagarde did was to abuse her authority when she overruled officials in her ministry by dropping a legal battle with Bernard Tapie and submitting it to an arbitration panel without even checking to see if such an arbitration process was legal in the first place. She also reportedly refused recommendations to appeal against the hefty compensation award to Bernard Tapie who is a personal friend of Sarkozy.

One would think that the IMF is one of the last places we would want to see a person who arrogantly makes up her own rules as she goes along without bothering to do her due diligence with regard to the legality of such "rules'"

Nevertheless, many of the European "powers that be" want someone in the IMF who, by hook or by crook, will preserve the euro which is said to be just about on its death bed. The preservation of the euro was reportedly a mainstay of Strauss-Kahn's policy and Lagarde will likely continue the policies of Strauss-Kahn if named to head the IMF.

By the way, Lagarde's counterpart here in the United States is none other than U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner.

Interestingly, Timothy Geithner's father Peter Geithner was director of the Asia Program at the Ford Foundation and oversaw the "microfinance" programs developed in Indonesia by Ann Dunham-Soetoro, Barack Obama’s mother.

Even more interestingly, Muhammad Yunus' Grameen Bank was founded with help from people who ran the now-failed ShoreBank Chicago which also had close ties with Barack Obama.

Lagarde has publicly supported Muhammad Yunus and his microfinance empire.

Just this past April, Yunus went to France looking for support "after the Bangladesh government accused him of corruption in relation to a US$96 million loan from Norway to Grameen Bank in the 1990s.

During a visit to Paris, where he presented the French edition of his book “Building Social Business,” the Nobel Laureate repeated his innocence and gained fresh backing from the French government after meeting with Finance Minister Christine Lagarde."

If you look at the video of the discussion between Netanyahu and Obama you'll see that while N is talking for a very long time Obama puts his right hand over the left side of his face, doesn't move and just stares at N. I believe Obama was trying to upset Netanyahu with that pose. If you go to the Guardian story you will see a picture of Obama deliberately staring at BB. I caught it looking at the Fox live telecast. Obama is skilled in NLP techniques. That stare is what an angry employer would use on a employee he wants to intimidate for instance.

The reason why some of the European "powers that be" are supporting Lagarde is because it is believed that she is going to continue the "Robin Hood" economic policies of her predecessor, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, whose agenda reportedly included preserving the euro at all costs.

There are many who believe that the euro is on its death bed.

Nevertheless, a common currency in Europe is still perceived by many to be the key ingredient with regard to the imposition of a "one size fits all" constitution and government on the countries of Europe.

Interestingly, Lagarde's counterpart in the United states is none other than Timothy Geithner whose father worked for the Ford Foundation overseeing the implementation of microfinance developed by Barack Obama's mother.

Lagarde is a big supporter of Muhammad Yunus who is referred to as the "father of microfinance in Paris." This is why I found the article I posted earlier interesting in terms of its having mentioned Lagarde's intention of make Paris an important center of Islamic finance.

Yunus was in Paris just last month looking for support in the wake of the Bangladeshi scandal he was recently involved in that resulted in his being forced out of the Grameen Bank which he founded with the help of several people who ran the now failed ShoreBank Chicago - a bank that had strong ties to Barack Obama.

This is why I found it so fascinating to learn that Christine Lagarde practiced law for 20 years in Chicago and that her law firm has a branch in Brussels where EU headquarters is also located.

At the end of the day, the scandal involving Christine Lagarde's interference in a the legal dispute between the business mogul Bernard Tapie and the French bank Credit Lyonnais which was state-owned at the time, may prove to be her undoing as well as Sarkozy's.

The news media - especially the New York times - is trying to downplay the significance of this scandal but it is important to consider the fact that Lagarde not only ignored the advice of officials in her ministry, but she never checked to see if the arbitration panel she set up which finally awarded huge reparations to Bernard Tapie.

It is being argued that the case should not have been settled by private arbitration since public money was at stake.

Dorothy ,very interesting info on tha `Tallest man made` structure- indeed a Tower of Babel` Bur Khalifa. What concerns me is the fact that basically ALL our food packaging has the Halaal sign on and it becomes BIGGER!!! Knowing a bit about packaging- I know certain regulations have to be adhered to on products- which tells me that most products (Food and beverages) cannot market their products without it-or is there still a choice? I Google the Hallaal sign and came across many people`s disgust with it. The factories pay a surcharge upfront to the -wait for it..... THE MUSLIM JUDICIAL COUNCIL!!!! Thus the factories include this cost -and the consumer pays for it. It may be a meager sum -maybe 0.006c (in SA money) BUT add the trillions x trillions of products-the Muslim Judicial Council is funded by-their own and of course the infidels!!! That was neat. Can we campaign for a non-Hallaal section of food stuffs in our supermarkets?

What would happen if Christians insisted on a mark on food? I know the Jewish people have Kosher food.

My husband says the `mark of the beast` is on our food already!

    Regards

Melinda, it took a bit of looking to see what the symbol was, but I finally found the information. "Once the product is certified, permission is granted to display the IFANCA certification logo, the Crescent M, on the product packaging and label." Those looking for more information on this topic can find it at http://www.ifanca.org/index.php.

With food being an international item, it seems to me that it's just a business matter. If a company thinks it will sell more of its product with any seal of approval, it will go through the process. It may be in Muslim countries that all food has to be marked this way, but here in the US food producers have a choice.

Both Islam and Judaism have food rules. Christianity doesn't. In fact one of the selling points for Christianity two thousand years ago was that food rules could be discarded.

Certification means the food producers are watched over carefully to keep them to certain standards. It's not an endorsement of the religion itself. I don't know what percentage of Jews only keep kosher. I don't know what percentage of Muslims keep Halaal standards. I do know that others besides Jews prefer to buy certain items marked kosher over others.

Dr Stan Monteith was discussing the Obama-Bibi meeting with Barry Chamish on his show this week. Fascinating commentary on it, I thought.
