BERLIN - Germany's foreign minister says his country will push for comprehensive reforms of the eurozone's fiscal rules in order to regain citizens' faith in European unity.
Guido Westerwelle said Tuesday that Europe needs stricter controls on budgets, the creation of a European rating agency and better co-ordination on economic policies.
He said countries notoriously running excessive budget deficits must be cut off from European Union financial support.
Westerwelle said Germans strongly believe in the European Union, but added it needs to be credible. Citizens need proof that instead of business as usual there will be structural changes, he said.

Guido Westerwelle (born 27 December 1961) is a German liberal politician, currently serving as the Foreign Minister and Vice Chancellor of Germany in the second cabinet of Chancellor Angela Merkel (since 28 October 2009). He is the first openly gay person to hold either of those positions. Since 2001, he has been the chairman of the Free Democratic Party of Germany. A lawyer by profession, he has been a Member of Parliament since 1996.

Constance,
ReplyDeleteA little odd that such a power within the EU is now pushing for a fiscal reform, while the US is quietly trying to sneak through a reform of their own. Couple this with Barack's recent announcement at West Point that he would be pushing for a new international military body to combat fundamental extremists. Things are getting very dicey very quickly!

GERMANY IS CALLED 'NAIVE' ON EURO
May 25, 2010
BRUSSELS — The European Commission president, José Manuel Barroso, on Tuesday accused the German government of lacking leadership during the euro crisis and describing its plans to rewrite the European Union’s rulebook as “naïve.”
In an uncharacteristically blunt intervention, Mr. Barroso took issue with German proposals to change the European Union’s Lisbon Treaty so that punishments can be increased for countries, like Greece, that break the rules governing euro countries.
He also suggested that the alarm in the markets, which has destabilized the euro, might have been calmed by quicker assurances of German support.
The comments, made in an interview in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, irritated German officials, where some of Mr. Barroso’s claims were dismissed as “absurd” on Tuesday.
The diplomatic feud underscores the difficulty the European Union faces in reaching consensus on how to reform the single-currency rules to avert a repetition of the Greek debt crisis.
The criticism also highlights the extent to which the market distress in the euro zone has often put Germany, the bloc’s dominant economic power, at odds with many of its European partners.....read entire article....

German minister Guido Westerwelle's gay lover Michael Mronz 'cashes in'
ReplyDeleteFrom: The Australian March 15, 2010
THE partner of the first openly gay foreign minister in Europe, and perhaps the world, knew defining his unique role could present a few challenges.
But sporting event manager Michael Mronz, the long-time companion of minister Guido Westerwelle, has walked into a political firestorm just over four months since the new government took office in Germany.
The mild-mannered Mr Mronz, 43, opted to accompany Mr Westerwelle, who is also Germany's Vice-Chancellor, on a tour of Latin America as an official guest of the delegation last week following a swing through Asia together in January.
Despite opposition attacks over potential conflicts of interest and the obvious discomfort of some conservatives in Chancellor Angela Merkel's coalition, Mr Mronz said he had no intention of dropping out of the ministry's frequent flyer club.
"Mr Westerwelle and I travelled together regularly before the election," Mr Mronz said. "I don't see why we should stop now."
But this month he was hit by accusations he was piggybacking on official government business to scoop up new business deals.
Mr Westerwelle was in Brazil for political talks, but also to lure contracts for German firms as the South American powerhouse gears up to stage the soccer World Cup in 2014 and the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016.
Mr Mronz denied he held a single business meeting while in Brazil, and as Mr Westerwelle met the organising committees of the two events in Rio de Janeiro, Mr Mronz visited a children's charity in a poor village a 90-minute drive from the city.
The hobby sailor was elected this month to the board of A Heart for Children, a charitable foundation.

well in terms of interfaith, all blend to one the message is clearly out there. As stated it was the central core message of Lost. It makes the airwaves frequently in one forum or another.
ReplyDeleteAdd in stuff like the "imagination" and remember when 5 and created own world commercials and other garbage... watch and weep
Yes peacebringer, you're right. The message continues. It's been going on a long time. My kids wouldn't go with me to the movies because I would keep pointing out the New Age message in the film. They just wanted me to enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI don't know whether it's because it was planned or because there are so many New Age true believers out there.
Your posts are important because so many people can't see the connection between their everyday lives and the planning of the elite as represented by Solana, the EU and Obama.
Keep up posting what you see and sharing it with others. You'll do a lot of good, more than you know.

peace-
ReplyDeleteI had watched the end of Lost as well. I had watched it on and off for the last six seasons. It was heavy into eastern religions and blending of faith throughout. I noticed that they would have enough Christian parallels to keep us interested. It was that old trick of having just enough of what we agree with and things that we don't.
Anyway, on Monday I felt ick all day which I am sure was from watching the show.
You should do a post about it on your blog.
Dear Constance, When I downloaded Lee Penn's book from your blog, the initial concept was a piece to add to the ever-growing puzzle of one-world religion/government/economics. I always read the forwards, and was suddenly sitting straight up, when I read Charles Upton's words about this book. Charles Upton is, or was a Sufi, was involved in the 80's in the peace movement of the New Age, invested time in magical populism in group dream works and dream networking. To have such a prominent forward, by a man who has spent much of his life promoting panentheiesm, and god in all people and in nature, I wonder if this is a sound book to recommend to evangelicals who are trying to discern The Truth of Jesus Christ, in a world of cultural and religious pluralism and accomodation. This soft sweet sound is most frequently a poisonous cloud which dulls the reader's critical thinking and leads them down the slippery slope of heresy. Just thought you might want to take note and perhaps do some serious 'prosecutorial' questioning. Yours in Christ, Birdiegirl
ReplyDeleteTo 'Birdiegirl' (1:21 PM):
ReplyDeleteHere is a link to John Upton's biography . . .
Even though he states that, at the end of the 1980's, he realized that he 'can not serve two masters' - there is no evidence that he has come OUT of the New Age.

Tim,
ReplyDeleteI was not a watcher of the show, but I agree with Dawn. Any expose that shows how people are being influenced with these ideologies should be considered.
On Charles Upton,
ReplyDeleteGiven Lee's knowledge of what is happening it may be a safe bet that he knows more of Charles' position currently, possibly personally. This may be worth asking him about directly, if Constance is unable to shed more light on the matter. Lets see if this can be vetted properly before making formal decisions. If Charles is still in that line, Lee may also be unaware, so one may wish to bring him up to speed. I would be interested to see what can be found to tackle this question one way or another.

Want to see exactly why the jobs reports have been looking so good while the average american can't find work?
ReplyDeleteTwo more Census workers blow the whistle
You know the old saying: "Everyone loves a charade." Well, it seems that the Census Bureau may be playing games.
Last week, one of the millions of workers hired by Census 2010 to parade around the country counting Americans blew the whistle on some statistical tricks.
The worker, Naomi Cohn, told The Post that she was hired and fired a number of times by Census. Each time she was hired back, it seems, Census was able to report the creation of a new job to the Labor Department.
Below, I have a couple more readers who worked for Census 2010 and have tales to
But first, this much we know.
Each month Census gives Labor a figure on the number of workers it has hired. That figure goes into the closely followed monthly employment report Labor provides. For the past two months the hiring by Census has made up a good portion of the new jobs.
Labor doesn't check the Census hiring figure or whether the jobs are actually new or recycled. It considers a new job to have been created if someone is hired to work at least one hour a month.
One hour! A month! So, if a worker is terminated after only one hour and another is hired in her place, then a second new job can apparently be reported to Labor . (I've been unable to get Census to explain this to me.)
Here's a note from a Census worker -- this one from Manhattan:
"John: I am on my fourth rehire with the 2010 Census.
"I have been hired, trained for a week, given a few hours of work, then laid off. So my unemployed self now counts for four new jobs.
"I have been paid more to train all four times than I have been paid to actually produce results. These are my tax dollars and your tax dollars at work.
"A few months ago I was trained for three days and offered five hours of work counting the homeless. Now, I am knocking (on) doors trying to find the people that have not returned their Census forms. I worked the 2000 Census. It was a far more organized venture.
"Have to run and meet my crew leader, even though with this rain I did not work today. So I can put in a pay sheet for the hour or hour and a half this meeting will take. Sincerely, C.M."
cont.
cont.
ReplyDeleteAnd here's another:
"John: I worked for (Census) and I was paid $18.75 (an hour) just like Ms. Naomi Cohn from your article.
"I worked for about six weeks or so and I picked the hours I wanted to work. I was checking the work of others. While I was classifying addresses, another junior supervisor was checking my work.
"In short, we had a "checkers checking checkers" quality control. I was eventually let go and was told all the work was finished when, in fact, other people were being trained for the same assignment(s).
"I was re-hired about eight months later and was informed that I would have to go through one week of additional training.
"On the third day of training, I got sick and visited my doctor. I called my supervisor and asked how I can make up the class. She informed me that I was 'terminated.' She elaborated that she had to terminate three other people for being five minutes late to class.
"I did get two days' pay and I am sure the 'late people' got paid also. I think you would concur that this is an expensive way to attempt to control sickness plus lateness. I am totally convinced that the Census work could be very easily done by the US Postal Service.
"When I was trying to look for an address or had a question about a building, I would ask the postman on the beat. They knew the history of the route and can expand in detail who moved in or out etc. I have found it interesting that if someone works one hour, they are included in the labor statistics as a new job being full.
"I am not surprised that you can't get any answers from Census staff; I found there were very few people who knew the big picture. M.G."
When I received my Census form in the mail, I filled it out. Nobody had to knock on my door.
I answered truthfully about the number of people living in my household. But I could have just as easily dou bled the number. Why not? Didn't Census ad vertisements imply that my community would get more federal money if the popula tion were larger?
I'm glad people are finding work with the Census. For some it's the only work they have had this year and the chump change they are making for a few hours' work is a godsend.
But wasting taxpayers' money on busywork isn't going to do much for the economy
http://tinyurl.com/27sdrcf
The people are being fed a lie that the economic situation is improving. The job numbers are being pointed to as proof. Now the markets are starting to tank again, and we see evidence that the job numbers are being manipulated.
Dawn and Peacebringer--
ReplyDeleteGlad to see that other fellow Christians had the same reaction that I did to watching the last episode of LOST.
First of all, let me say that it was quite moving; and I applauded Matthew Fox's acting in "his" (Jack's) death scene in the bamboo forest. As an actor, I think he did a very believable job, and I found myself in tears during much of the reunion scenes of the couples that had finally "re-found" each other.
Oddly enough, the gathering of the main actors (I believe that there were 21 of them) in the church, and Jack's dialogue with his father didn't affect me as much.
I realized, upon seeing all of the stautes and the window, that this was to be an extremely "ecumenical/all religions lead to god"-- small "g,"--smile-- scene. I noticed that immediately, and rebuked it.
However, the entirety of the last episode did leave me deeply disturbed on a spiritual level; and it's hard to put into words what exactly was affecting me.
Initially, I was cheered when I saw the floodlit statue of Jesus at the front of the church, and thought that it was an opportunity for the writers to have the characters express the statement of faith and of truth--that that Jesus was/is the ONLY way to redemption and the wonderful afterlife the HE has planned for us from before the foundation of the world.
When I saw those other religions' symbols... I was actually infuriated that they denigrated our Savior by lumping Him in with the false religions. I also spontaneously rebuked that image by saying aloud to the screen "I reject this: Jesus is the only way to salvation."
After the program ended and the credits rolled by, I was still ill-at-ease, and realized that something extremely spiritually profound had just taken place.
I was crying and found it hard to get to sleep. I know that it was not just a physical reaction to the touching scenes--and they were touching. It was a spiritual battle being waged.
Glad that Our Lord gave me discernment and spiritual armor.

I agree with the comments about Lost. I don't watch much TV, but it was the only show I consistently watched. I was puzzled after watching the end and didn't know what to think because they left so many questions unanswered. They did such an awesome job at character development, but didn't follow through with their stories at the end. It just ended with them in the church, apparently having died...even the baby, Aaron. ??? I didn't notice the window in the background as I watched it Sunday night. I guess I was paying closer attention to the dialog. Now I am just disappointed and saddened!

Does anybody know whether Shirley MacLaine (Out on a Limb) is still expounding new age philosophies?
ReplyDeleteAs Constance notes in her book "A Planned Deception..", Miss MacLaine’s numerous media appearances in the 80's introduced vast audiences to be educated on the essentials of the New Age Movement.
Just curious.

HM,
ReplyDeleteIf the idea was that they had died, and the church was a gathering place of the dead, that makes the descriptions and symbolism all the more sickening to me. I don't watch the show so I was not aware that the idea was that they were dead.

Quotes from Shirley MacLaine's friend, Barbara Marx Hubbard . . .
ReplyDeleteBarbara Marx Hubbard's Christ-Consciousness
"Christ-consciousness and Christ-abilities are the natural inheritance of every human being on Earth. When the word of this hope has reached the nations, the end of this phase of evolution shall come. All will know their choice. All will be required to choose..... All who choose not to evolve will die off; their souls will begin again within a different planetary system which will serve as kindergarten for the transition from self-centered to whole-centered being. The kindergarten class of Earth will be over. Humankind's collective power is too great to be inherited by self-centered, infantile people." (from The Plan, quoting Barbara Marx Hubbard Happy Birthday Planet Earth.p.17)
Marx Hubbard -
the selection process
New Age leader, Barbara Marx Hubbard has stated, "people will either change or die," for "that is the choice." According to those who would concur with Hubbard, Christians will need to be more open minded so they too can receive the mark of the Antichrist. If they will not join with the global community and its agenda, they will be killed by the "opened minded" New Agers. She states that, "This act is as horrible as killing a cancer cell. It must be done (or the sake of the future of the whole. So be it; be prepared for the selection process which is now beginning. We, the elders, have been patiently waiting until the very last moment before the quantum transformation, to take action to cut out this corrupted and corrupting element in the body of humanity. It is like watching a cancer grow; something must be done before the whole body is destroyed.... The destructive one fourth must be eliminated from the social body." from Joe Schimmel, "The Coming Persecution"
JoloO-
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you had the presence of mind to say that to the television. I only have myself to blame. About two months ago, I thought I shouldn't watch the show anymore. But I didn't listen to who it was really telling me that.
History & JD,
ReplyDeleteThe important dialog that explains everything was between Jack and his dad Christian Shepherd. The alternate world that they have been showing all season was suppose to be a sort of a purgatory. The church is where all the souls decided to meet so that they could all move on together. The souls were awakened when they came in contact with their strongest 'connection'.
They all died at different times but because time really didn't exist and they were all able to meet up at the same time.
Jack had not come to grips with the fact that he was dying and he needed to work through his dad issues which is why he had a son there.
I really know way to much about that show.
Americans are drawing a line in the sand this June 26th
ReplyDeleteDon't Tread On Me National Simul-Screening
by: Angie Ress - RTR Staff Writer
Americans are drawing a line in the sand by gearing up to host simultaneous screenings of the new film "Don't Tread On Me: Rise of the Republic" on Saturday June 26th.
Participants who register their screening receive a signed release from the film makers and a high resolution movie poster download for printing to hang in the location chosen for the nationwide event. Registration for the national grassroots screening day has already begun at: http://donttreadonmemovie.com/screening.html
Film makers William Lewis and Gary Franchi are spearheading the action by asking grassroots activists and constitutional advocates from across the country to hold screenings in their home, public library, or local cinema.
Franchi, the film's producer, intends to send shockwaves through the American consciousness with this one day simultaneous screening to educate and activate Americans on one of the key solutions to restoring our constitutional republic. William Lewis, director of the film, advocates strongly for the 10th Amendment as that solution along with clarifying the real meaning of the 2nd Amendment.
The film makers have also introduced "Screener Packs" for organizers. Screener Packs include either 6 or 11 Official DVDs of "Don't Tread On Me: Rise of the Republic" at a special wholesale price so organizers can re-sell them at their venue of choice to raise money for their efforts.
Alongside the screenings on June 26th, Franchi and Lewis are asking people who purchase the film to make copies and distribute the DVD in a viral hand to hand campaign.
"During the years leading up to the revolutionary war patriots used handbills printed on hemp to spread the word, today we use sophisticated DVD duplication software." Franchi stated just before his Monday appearance on the GCN Radio Network.
For more information or to register your screening location please visit: http://donttreadonmemovie.com/screening.html

Regard the Blackwell Briggs alleged video (there are some internet claims it's a hoax -- not sure yet), I'm not so sure about the "Conspiracy for Good" circulating it either. This may end up with bricks thrown at me, but not all alternative religious practices are connected with the New Age movement.
ReplyDeleteTake for instance the American Indian rituals. Their beliefs and rituals predated the start of the New Age movement.
Sufism predated the New Age movement and has a body of literature that is not connected with the New Age movement.
Everything occult and pagan didn't start with the New Age movement although New Age ideas have infiltrated these movements in much the same way that they have infiltrated Judaism and Christianity.
This does not mean I validate in any way Hinduism, Sufism, American Indian practices, or any other areas that the New Age movement has infiltrated. It just means that it isn't Christianity vs any other belief system which must be New Age connected.
There are people who study these ideas from their inception who have no idea what the New Age movement represents. Because Christianity has been infiltrated with New Age ideas, it doesn't mean all of Christianity is part of New Age.
Let's not have witch hunts. Be smarter than that. It takes hard work to make the distinction, but learn.

ReplyDeleteWanted to send this from a blogger named Julien Frisch called Watching Europe. I know nothing of him or his blog, ran across this about De boissieu being replaced. I saw the intial report of his replacement a few weeks ago and meant to send it to you. I am sure you may be aware of this, there isn't too much that gets by you. I am still waiting to see how the new EEAS arm of the EU shapes up as it will lessen the powers of the Secretariat and gain very broad and influential powers.
On a side-note: When I passed by the Secretary General of the Council, Pierre de Boissieu, last week on a public place in Brussels, I could be sure that people around wouldn't even notice him and the powers he has. But you could feel his presence and the presence of his secretariat when he walked by, tall and concentrated.
De Boissieu will be in office for exactly 13 more months, and with the creation of the EEAS the powers of his secretariat will become smaller, given that only some 50 officials of those dealing with foreign and security affairs will remain in the Council structures (figure is from Dijkstra). It will therefore be quite interesting to see how the role of the Council Secretariat will change once it has lost parts of its competencies and once the long-time Brussels insider de Boissieu will be replaced by the "outsider" Uwe Corsepius.
Susanna
ReplyDeleteAnother thing on this Julien Frisch blog, I have not had time to properly research him, his views or his accuracy. He seems to have a lot of information on what is going on in the EU.
I will have to take a look at his credibility as he has some info that I usually do not see so readily available from other sources.
Constance,
ReplyDeleteThe video is apparently real. From Blackwell Briggs site:
URGENT: Statement regarding The Pirate Bay and The Conspiracy For Good
On the 18th of May 2010, a group of individuals identifying themselves as The Conspiracy For Good and acting as cyber-terrorists stole a piece of private material. They then leaked the file into the public forum via The Pirate Bay. Purporting themselves to be nothing more than purveyors of free speech and Robin Hoods of the internet, The Pirate Bay and to a greater extent, The Conspiracy For Good are not just mischief-makers and petty thieves, they are criminals. These are individuals that compromise the advancement of the free market, attack personal privacy and corrode intellectual property and the ownership of information. Leaks of this nature are a testament to why extreme measures must be taken when protecting the safety and security of society. As a shareholder in the company, you can be rest-assured that Blackwell Briggs takes attacks like this very seriously and we assure you that measures have been taken to assure these frauds and felons are halted from future activities of this nature.

Digging more into this conspiracyforgood site, there are both things that alarm me and leave me scratching my head.
ReplyDeleteWhen looking at the rules posted on their site we see nothing of real substance:
Think of this as a movie where YOU are the hero! It’s okay to just sit back and watch, but trust us, you’ll be missing out on the real excitement. Live the adventure, read the signs, fight the bad guys. Welcome to the ride of your life… this is merely the beginning!
Some pointers
Help make the Conspiracy For Good real
Ignore inaccuracies and help keep this reality together
Choose your level of engagement. Watch, solve mysteries online, play games, or visit the London events in late summer
However it also states that by agreeing to their rules you also agree to a set of Terms of Service from Nokia.
http://tinyurl.com/36t2dap
At this point Blackwell briggs has admitted to the validity of the video, but it appears Conspiracy for Good may be a weird marketing tool of Nokia. Looking at the CFG inspiration page one finds links to a few New Age sites, as well as a couple with history of Nikola Tesla. In the forums we see some New Age garbage being discussed, such as Network for a New Culture.
In short, I am not sure what to make of all of it. It may be simply a marketing campaign by Nokia, it may be a experiment by Nokia into social media, it may be a New Agers pet project who happened to land a deal with Nokia. In any case, the information contained on the site is pretty typical. The Blackwell Briggs video is the only thing that is a little different.
I apologize for being off topic. But I need to voice my discomfort at my recent field trip with my son's class to the Dallas Zoo.
ReplyDeleteWe went on a tram ride to see some animals in more natural settings. During the entire ride (as the docent explained each exhibit) she expounded upon how humans were the main predator and how our moving into the animal's habitats is causing mass extinction. (1000 species/day) And of course she brought up the gulf oil spill and how probagbly tens of thousands of extinctions happen because of peoples "accidents".
On one hand it sounds like the zoo is doing some great things trying to help some endangered species survive.
On the other hand it seems like they are getting more heavy handed with the "education". Exibits showed about overpopulation, the need to reduce our impact (reduce, reuse, recycle), ecotourism etc.
It seems like more emphasis is on the problems that humans couse than on teaching about the animals.
Anyway, zoos may have been this way for a long time and perhaps I am just more aware of the agenda now.

I stumbled upon this whilst perusing teh internetz, and thought it was somehow relevant to the mindset and aims of those pushing for a NWO.
ReplyDeletefrom wiki,
Neophile or Neophiliac is a term used by counterculture cult writer Robert Anton Wilson to describe a particular type of personality. A neophile or neophiliac can be defined as a personality type characterized by a strong affinity for novelty. Neophiles/Neophiliacs have the following basic characteristics:
* The ability to adapt rapidly to extreme change
* A distaste or downright loathing of tradition, repetition, and routine
* A tendency to become bored quickly with old things
* A desire, bordering on obsession in some cases, to experience novelty
* A corresponding and related desire to create novelty by creating or achieving something and/or by stirring social or other forms of unrest.
A neophile/neophiliac is distinct from a revolutionary in that anyone might become a revolutionary if pushed far enough by the reigning authorities or social norms, whereas neophiles/neophiliacs are revolutionaries by nature. Their intellectual abhorrence of tradition and repetition usually bemoans a deeper emotional need for constant novelty and change. The meaning of neophile/neophiliac approaches and is not mutually exclusive to the term visionary, but differs in that a neophile actively seeks first-hand experience of novelty rather than merely pontificating about it.
The opposite of a neophile/neophiliac is a neophobe; a person with an aversion to novelty and change. Wilson observes that neophobes tend to regard neophiles/neophiliac, especially extreme ones, with fear and contempt, and to brand them with titles such as "witch," "satanist," "heretic," etc. He also speculates in his Prometheus Rising series of books that the industrial revolution and related enlightenment represents one of the first periods of history in which neophiles/neophiliac were a dominant force in society. Neophiles/neophiliacs accelerate change because they like it that way.

When I was a pagan I distinctly remember a thing written by aleister crowley wherein he wrote that a person who was spiritually damaged was leaking prana, and one could tell this because said person could not put themselves to task or concentrate long enough to complete challenging tasks, or something to that effect.
I think the neophile and spiritual damage or compromise are linked.

US troops won't be used to stop illegal immigration:
ReplyDeleteUS National Guard troops being sent to the Mexican border will be used to stem the flow of guns and drugs across the frontier and not to enforce US immigration laws, the State Department said Wednesday.
The clarification came after the Mexican government urged Washington not to use the additional troops to go after illegal immigrants.
President Barack Obama on Tuesday authorized the deployment of up to 1,200 additional troops to border areas but State Department spokesman Philip Crowley told reporters, "It's not about immigration."
He said the move was "fully consistent with our efforts to do our part to stem, you know, violence, to interdict the flow of dangerous people and dangerous goods -- drugs, guns, people."
He said the extra troops would be used to free up civilians engaged in support functions so that law enforcement personnel can be increased along the 2,000-mile-long (3,200 kilometer) border.
Nearly 13 million Mexicans live in the United States, more than half of them illegally.
"We have explained the president's announcement to the government of Mexico, and they fully understand the rationale behind it," Crowley said.
Obama's announcement came less than a week after a state visit to Washington by Mexican President Felipe Calderon, who asked for greater US backing for a bloody three-year-old war on drug cartels.
Drug violence has claimed the lives of nearly 23,000 people over the past three years.

Our zoo here in Battle Creek has some similar ecological themes. However, if zoos are so concerned about animal welfare, why do they keep animals in capitivity in the first place? I mean, giraffes aren't native to Michigan. C'mon, people go to zoos because it's fun to see animals that we can't normally see live. The biggest thrill at the zoo is for my kids to ride the trams and the train and the carousel (although with my older son, we have to watch him because he will run to the controls and attempt to operate the carousel).

ReplyDeleteFinally, lawmakers to hear 'Bilderberg conspiracy'
Author sees opportunity to bring 'shadow government' into mainstream

Author Daniel Estulin, whose work "The True Story of the Bilderberg Group" has sold millions of copies, has been invited to present an unprecedented speech before the European Parliament in Brussels June 1 on the subject of the secretive cabal.
excerpts:
.....
His work will be part of a presentation titled "Bilderberg Group – Towards Creation of One World Company Ltd.," which will include the work of Borghezio and British members Nigel Farage and Gerard Batten.
He [Estulin] connected the dots between the Bilderberg Group, world events, politicians and corporate tycoons, the Council on Foreign Relations and the TrilateralCommission over a period of 15 years.
Estulin reveals how the web of people and organizations has become a "shadow government whose top priority is to erase the sovereignty of all nation-states and supplant them with global corporate control of their economies under the surveillance of 'an electronic global police state.'"
...
Estulin writes: "This parallel world remains unseen in the daily struggles of most of humanity, but, believe me, it is there: a cesspool of duplicity and lies and double-speak and innuendo and blackmail and bribery. It is a surreal world of double and triple agents, of changing loyalties, of professional psychotic assassins, brainwashed black ops agents, soldiers of fortune and mercenaries, whose primary sources of income are the dirtiest and most despicable government-run subversive missions - the kind that can never be exposed."
He cites David Rockefeller's own admission. Rockefeller, founder of the Trilateral Commission, a Bilderberg member and board member of the CFR, wrote: "Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure - one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it."
WND reported attendance at last year's event included U.S. Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner; Larry Summers, the director of the U.S. National Economic Council; Richard Holbrooke, the Obama administration's special representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan; World Bank President Robert Zoellick; European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet and EuropeanCommission president Jose Manuel Barroso.
New invitees in 2009 reportedly included Google Chief Executive Officer Eric Schmidt. Henry Kissinger, a lynchpin of continuity with other secretive internationalist groups including the Council on Foreign Relations and the TrilateralCommission, is a regular attendee as is Wall Street Journal Editor Paul Gigot.
Former British cabinet minister Lord Denis Healey, one of the founders of the group, explained the purpose of the group to Jon Ronson of the Guardian.
"Those of us in Bilderberg felt we couldn't go on forever fighting one another for nothing and killing people and rendering millions homeless," he said. "So we felt that a single community throughout the world would be a good thing."
Estulin reported then his sources told him the main topic of the 2009 agenda was the world economy. He said his sources inside the group told him the movers and shakers would be discussing two options – "either a prolonged, agonizing depression that dooms the world to decades of stagnation, decline, and poverty ... or an intense-but-shorter depression that paves the way for a new sustainable economic world order, with less sovereignty but more efficiency."

ReplyDeleteI understand what you are saying. Having read both of the book Occult Establishment and Occult Underground and others, I know there is a long history to political involvement with occult groups. I know what the Bible says.
As I see it, the New Age movement, a network, is a large, organized, now large scale, still rather covert effort to bring about a one world government and one world religion. With research it's history can be documented, detailed, and followed.
There are probably links to earlier efforts such as the communist movement. These, however, need to be documented and not just jumped at.
The New Age movement is connected with the idea that the world is moving into the Age of Aquarius, out of the Age of Pisces. That is time connected. It doesn't go back thousands of years.
Now anyone can have differences with any other group. Vegetarians vs meat eaters. Christian vs Muslim beliefs. One worlders vs nationalists. Christians vs New Age ideas. All are areas worthy of research.
That's hard work, so many try to avoid the hard work by lumping vast areas of history and beliefs into confrontation with other ideas. People who are hyped up are going against fundamentalist Christians and Jews. We who know about the New Age movement can be hyped to go against anyone not part of our group, whether Christian, Jewish or Muslim or nationalist.
In dangerous times care is always important. We must avoid working for our opposition.

Constance, if it were that simple, your first book on the New Age movement wouldn't have been necessary, it wouldn't have been a best seller, and it wouldn't have been translated into several foreign languages. It was popular because it gave specifics rather than a single generality. This blog wouldn't exist. Everyone would just be told to read the Bible as seen by Christians, and if they didn't interpret it as seen by a leader, they would be considered the opponent, a supporter of the New Age movement. Dangerous.
ReplyDeleteWith all respect, I disagree with your last post.

Hey JD,
ReplyDeleteThis could be good news, if the new gov't follows through and does what it says.
The BBC is reporting that:
Identity cards scheme will be axed 'within 100 days'
Theresa May: "We didn't believe ID cards would work"
The National Identity Card scheme will be abolished within 100 days with all cards becoming invalid, Home Secretary Theresa May has said.
Legislation to axe the scheme will be the first put before parliament by the new government - with a target of it becoming law by August.
The 15,000 people who voluntarily paid £30 for a card since the 2009 roll out in Manchester will not get a refund.
Ms May said ID card holders would at least have a "souvenir" of the scheme.
TIMELINE
July 2002: Plans unveiled
November 2004: ID cards bill
March 2006: Act becomes law
November 2009: Cards available
May 2010: Scheme scrapped
Full timeline: ID cards
Q&A: Identity cards
The Labour scheme was aimed at tackling fraud, illegal immigration and identity theft - but it was criticised for being too expensive and an infringement of civil liberties. The cards were designed to hold personal biometric data on an encrypted chip, including name, a photograph and fingerprints. The supporting National Identity Register was designed to hold up to 50 pieces of information.
The cards already in circulation will remain legal until Parliament has passed the legislation to abolish them and the register. The short abolition bill will be pushed through Parliament as quickly as possible with the aim of cards being invalid by 3 September.
Anyone who has a card or has to deal with them, such as airport security officials, will be told the termination date in writing. Once the cards are illegal, the National Identity Register will be "physically destroyed", say ministers. Some 60 people who were working on the scheme for the Identity and Passport Service in Durham have lost their jobs.
Ms May said: "This bill is a first step of many that this government is taking to reduce the control of the state over decent, law-abiding people and hand power back to them. With swift Parliamentary approval, we aim to consign identity cards and the intrusive ID card scheme to history within 100 days."

Anon 5:48,
ReplyDeleteThere has been talk of killing the card scheme for a couple of months. In all honesty I never expected the cards to be the 'final solution' so to speak. Relatively cards are expensive to produce, while a passive chip is cheap (about 30 cents on large scale) The European Commision addressed this as well as saftey and theft issues within the FIDIS reports, and basicly stated that implantable chips would be the more desired scenario.
My thought is, if they are going to formally kill the cards, our eyes need to remain peeled, as a new identifier will most certainly creep in. Too much has been invested in the infrastructure of the overall system i.e. Smartphones, readers, Smart Meters, etc for them to end the system completely. To do so would bring such loss to so many companies that it would be nearly impossible for them to recover. From what I have been watching in third world countries, I thought that the cards may have been a bait and switch, only time will tell if I am right.
Anon,
ReplyDeleteI almost forgot, thanks for bringing this up. I wish I didn't have reasons to be so sceptical! lol

Re:It will therefore be quite interesting to see how the role of the Council Secretariat will change once it has lost parts of its competencies and once the long-time Brussels insider de Boissieu will be replaced by the "outsider" Uwe Corsepius.
Thank you also for the Julien Frisch link. On his blog, he claims on his "about me" link that below "European Union" his passport lists "Germany."
I did know that De Boissieu was going to be replaced in 2011.
From what I have read, it appears that his replacement, Uwe Corsepius, is a creature of Angela Merkel ( namely, her EU advisor ).
Here is an interesting little snippet:
FT Deutschland reports that Angela Merkel and Nicolas Sarkozy have agreed a deal that Uwe Corsepius will succeed Pierre de Boissieu as Secretary General of the EU Council. It also reports that it appears as though Ms Merkel has positioned herself well for the top job she wants most of all – to have Axel Weber as President of the ECB in two years time.

It is like watching a cancer grow; something must be done before the whole body is destroyed."

I would suggest you go to the site to see how complex this truth thing is.
Having faith in a particular system, religion or something else, doesn't guarantee that truth is involved.
Whether something happened or didn't happen seems to be the bottom line on truth. After that it gets complex.
Dorothy
You are right; whether something happened or didn't happen is the beginning of truth: The crucifixion of Jesus on the hill of Golgotha happened. His ressurection from the dead, happened as was witnessed. Jesus, the Christ of God is The Way, the Truth and the Life. Simple fact: believing in this fact is the only open door to Him, The Truth. People have forever tried to envision their own kind of truth... have written dark poems of their souls, which join with the darkness of secret agreement with others; they have tried to whirl their thoughts in writings which only confuse and, which pridefully, they think others have not had..superiority thinking. All pride leads away from this Truth..Jesus is God. The truth of God is revealed in Jesus, and to receive Jesus, is to receive the beginning of all wisdom..not from the gnostics, nor from philosophers, poets or prognosticators but from God. This is not religion. This is faith. Believe. Know that God raised Him from the dead, as He raises us from the death and darkness of our unbelief, into the light of faith, hope and trust. New life...available to all through The Cross of Christ Jesus. birdiegirl
ReplyDeleteMother Teresa’s House Of Illusion
ReplyDeleteHow She Harmed Her Helpers As Well As Those They ‘Helped’
by Susan Shields
The following article is from Free Inquiry magazine, Volume 18, Number 1
Some years after I became a Catholic, I joined Mother Teresa’s congregation, the Missionaries of Charity. I was one of her sisters for nine and a half years, living in the Bronx, Rome, and San Francisco, until I became disillusioned and left in May 1989.
As I reentered the world, I slowly began to unravel the tangle of lies in which I had lived. I wondered how I could have believed them for so long.
Three of Mother Teresa’s teachings that are fundamental to her religious congregation are all the more dangerous because they are believed so sincerely by her sisters. Most basic is the belief that as long as a sister obeys she is doing God’s will. Another is the belief that the sisters have leverage over God by choosing to suffer. Their suffering makes God very happy. He then dispenses more graces to humanity. The third is the belief that any attachment to human beings, even the poor being served, supposedly interferes with love of God and must be vigilantly avoided or immediately uprooted. The efforts to prevent any attachments cause continual chaos and confusion, movement and change in the congregation. Mother Teresa did not invent these beliefs – they were prevalent in religious congregations before Vatican II – but she did everything in her power (which was great) to enforce them.
Once a sister has accepted these fallacies she will do almost anything. She can allow her health to be destroyed, neglect those she vowed to serve, and switch off her feelings and independent thought. She can turn a blind eye to suffering, inform on her fellow sisters, tell lies with ease, and ignore public laws and regulations.
Women from many nations joined Mother Teresa in the expectation that they would help the poor and come closer to God themselves. When I left, there were more than 3,000 sisters in approximately 400 houses scattered throughout the world. Many of these sisters who trusted Mother Teresa to guide them have become broken people. In the face of overwhelming evidence, some of them have finally admitted that their trust has been betrayed, that God could not possibly be giving the orders they hear. It is difficult for them to decide to leave – their self-confidence has been destroyed, and they have no education beyond what they brought with them when they joined. I was one of the lucky ones who mustered enough courage to walk away.
It is in the hope that others may see the fallacy of this purported way to holiness that I tell a little of what I know. Although there are relatively few tempted to join Mother Teresa’s congregation of sisters, there are many who generously have supported her work because they do not realize how her twisted premises strangle efforts to alleviate misery. Unaware that most of the donations sit unused in her bank accounts, they too are deceived into thinking they are helping the poor.
As a Missionary of Charity, I was assigned to record donations and write the thank-you letters. The money arrived at a frantic rate. The mail carrier often delivered the letters in sacks. We wrote receipts for checks of $50,000 and more on a regular basis. Sometimes a donor would call up and ask if we had received his check, expecting us to remember it readily because it was so large. How could we say that we could not recall it because we had received so many that were even larger?
When Mother spoke publicly, she never asked for money, but she did encourage people to make sacrifices for the poor, to “give until it hurts.” Many people did – and they gave it to her. We received touching letters from people, sometimes apparently poor themselves, who were making sacrifices to send us a little money for the starving people in Africa, the flood victims in Bangladesh, or the poor children in India. Most of the money sat in our bank accounts.
cont.
Dorothy,
ReplyDeleteYour statement actually captures perfectly what I am talking about. It is not the truth that is complex in most situations, as the truth is clear cut and well defined, it either is or is not. Take any given situation or problem, the truth will always be the solution with the least amount of problems, as when errors or fabrications are introduced it always complicates the matter. Yet the moment the truth is reintroduced to the situation the solution becomes much more simplified and understood.
The complexity of the truth is only relevant to the complexity of the situation it is applied to, but the truth will always be the simplest solution as fallacy constantly has to be built upon to be maintained. A phrase I use often that can be very much applied to this conversation of truth would be, "it is what it is". The truth in any situation always applies this way. Things like relative truth are rubbish, as they take perception and super impose them over what is either real or what is not. If my perception of any event is not how it went down, that does not make it the truth. This is why courts ask people to tell the truth to the best of their ability, because perception can be flawed. It is also why I said mankind are liars, though it is not always with intent, we can believe to be telling the truth yet be lying through our teeth. Finding the truth can be complex, but that is not the same as the truth being complex. The truth is simple, it either is or isn't.
cont.
ReplyDeleteThe flood of donations was considered to be a sign of God’s approval of Mother Teresa’s congregation. We were told by our superiors that we received more gifts than other religious congregations because God was pleased with Mother, and because the Missionaries of Charity were the sisters who were faithful to the true spirit of religious life.
Most of the sisters had no idea how much money the congregation was amassing. After all, we were taught not to collect anything. One summer the sisters living on the outskirts of Rome were given more crates of tomatoes than they could distribute. None of their neighbors wanted them because the crop had been so prolific that year. The sisters decided to can the tomatoes rather than let them spoil, but when Mother found out what they had done she was very displeased. Storing things showed lack of trust in Divine Providence.
The donations rolled in and were deposited in the bank, but they had no effect on our ascetic lives and very little effect on the lives of the poor we were trying to help. We lived a simple life, bare of all superfluities. We had three sets of clothes, which we mended until the material was too rotten to patch anymore. We washed our own clothes by hand. The never-ending piles of sheets and towels from our night shelter for the homeless we washed by hand, too. Our bathing was accomplished with only one bucket of water. Dental and medical checkups were seen as an unnecessary luxury.
Mother was very concerned that we preserve our spirit of poverty. Spending money would destroy that poverty. She seemed obsessed with using only the simplest of means for our work. Was this in the best interests of the people we were trying to help, or were we in fact using them as a tool to advance our own “sanctity?” In Haiti, to keep the spirit of poverty, the sisters reused needles until they became blunt. Seeing the pain caused by the blunt needles, some of the volunteers offered to procure more needles, but the sisters refused.
We begged for food and supplies from local merchants as though we had no resources. On one of the rare occasions when we ran out of donated bread, we went begging at the local store. When our request was turned down, our superior decreed that the soup kitchen could do without bread for the day.
It was not only merchants who were offered a chance to be generous. Airlines were requested to fly sisters and air cargo free of charge. Hospitals and doctors were expected to absorb the costs of medical treatment for the sisters or to draw on funds designated for the religious. Workmen were encouraged to labor without payment or at reduced rates. We relied heavily on volunteers who worked long hours in our soup kitchens, shelters, and day camps.
A hard-working farmer devoted many of his waking hours to collecting and delivering food for our soup kitchens and shelters. “If I didn’t come, what would you eat?” he asked.
Our Constitution forbade us to beg for more than we needed, but, when it came to begging, the millions of dollars accumulating in the bank were treated as if they did not exist.
For years I had to write thousands of letters to donors, telling them that their entire gift would be used to bring God’s loving compassion to the poorest of the poor. I was able to keep my complaining conscience in check because we had been taught that the Holy Spirit was guiding Mother. To doubt her was a sign that we were lacking in trust and, even worse, guilty of the sin of pride. I shelved my objections and hoped that one day I would understand why Mother wanted to gather so much money, when she herself had taught us that even storing tomato sauce showed lack of trust in Divine Providence.

K,
ReplyDeleteI am a little puzzled, if the video is fake, why would Blackwell Briggs state that it was stolen from them? Or is the whole situation fraudulent and both ends are complicit? Or is it possible Blackwell used a actor for the video? This whole thing has left me completely befuddled.
JD and others,
ReplyDeleteMaybe this will shed some light on the matter. I've mentioned this before. I think it is very important, but seems to be ignored on this forum.
What you're seeing is using the narrative "story". Please understand that I am not arguing against using “story” to convey a message. Even Jesus used parables. But let’s look at how story form is used today and consider how the spirit of anti-christ can make use of it to deceive. The use of story is a powerful tool. In fact, there are books, businesses, and conferences to attest its growing influence. Tom Atlee, founder of Co-Intelligence Institute, has mastered this understanding of story as a powerful strategy to change human behavior. He describes the purpose of CII, “We research, network, advocate, and help organize leading-edge experiments and conversations in order to weave what is possible into new, wiser forms of civilization.” He does this through the use of story. The website www.co-intelligence.org states, “Story, as a pattern, is a powerful way of organizing and sharing individual experience and exploring and co-creating shared realites. [sic] […] A story field paints a particular picture of how life is or should be, and shapes the life within its range into its image. […] Once the story field is changed, subsidiary patterns tend to realign rapidly. (This process is part of what has been called a paradigm shift.)”(Emphasis in the original.)
Atlee teaches that by using our collective intelligence (becoming one in a higher order of collective consciousness) we can evolve to higher forms of civilization.
Not surpisingly, Tom Atlee and Barbara Marx Hubbard are cohorts.
It does not escape me that the emergent types use terminology such as "sharing our stories" instead of giving a "testimony".
I'm not a fan of the Left Behind series, but I do remember a scene in the movie when Nicolai is speaking to the world leaders and kills somebody. All the leaders come out of the meeting completely oblivious to murder they witness. Their "reality" is changed.
This is dangerous stuff.

ReplyDeleteI have been digging around and found some more data on Uwe Corsepius that you might find interesting.
I am not the only one who finds it ironic - and perhaps even a little hypocritical - that German Uwe Corsepius has been referred to as an "outsider" given De Boissieu's close ties with various French leaders including Mitterrand and Chirac.
What I find even more interesting is the following:
- De Boissieu was appointed as a result of a Franco-German deal. When he was elected 13 member states preferred the then Danish permanent representative, Poul Skytte Christoffersen. Only two, Germany and France, wanted de Boissieu. The Frenchman won the post with these 2 supporters - against 13....
http://en.euabc.com/word/261
Which goes to show that De Boisseau did not ascend to his EU position through democratic consensus, but through wheeling and dealing between the French and the Germans.
_____________________________
Moreover, the following begs the question as to whether or not any "armtwisting" was required in order to get the Germans to go along with De Boissieu. It has been reported by Bjorn (Farmer) that ...
Skytte Christoffersen was widely tipped to take over the day-to-day running of the secretariat of the Council in 1999 as deputy to Javier Solana, who had been appointed the EU's first foreign policy chief and secretary-general of the Council. But Gerhard Schröder, Germany's chancellor, who was chairing the European Council meeting, had cut a deal with Jacques Chirac, then France's president, that the job should go to Pierre de Boissieu, France's permanent representative to the EU....

ReplyDeleteI don't trust Sarkozy either....and as for East German - born "Comrade Merkel," she appears to be doing what she does more for the sake of political expediency in terms of socialist/"looter" EU considerations rather than for the actual good of the German people who voted her into office (and may soon vote her right back out if the recent elections are any indication of the political winds blowing about in Germany.)
Here is the lowdown on Thatcher's and (socialist) Mitterrand's attitude to German reunification immediately following the fall of the Berlin Wall:
According to the British archive, two months before the fall of the Wall, Thatcher told the Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev that "neither Britain nor Western Europe wanted the reunification of Germany.
"This would lead to a change to postwar borders, and we cannot allow that because such a development would undermine the stability of the whole international situation and could endanger our security," she said.
In effect, she was asking the Britain's former Cold War enemy to help her thwart German ambitions of one of the West's staunchest allies.
Mitterrand adviser Jacques Attali — who in another irony of fate would go on to head the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development set up to fund post Cold War reform in Eastern Europe — also opposed reunification.
The British archive records him meeting Gorbachev aide Vadim Zagladin in Kyiv one month after the wall came down and complaining that Russia had not intervened in East Germany to head off reunification moves.
"This has caused a fear approaching panic," he said, according the files.
Four months later, in April 1990 and with reunification imminent, Attali reportedly told Mitterrand that he would "fly off to live on Mars" if the inevitable happened.
Mitterrand and Thatcher also shared their concerns in person.
In January 1990, the French leader told his British counterpart at a Paris dinner that a united Germany could "make more ground than even Hitler had" according to a note by Thatcher aide Charles Powell...

ReplyDelete....Mitterrand was worried by the rapidity of the Soviet bloc's collapse. He was opposed to German Reunification, even thinking of a military alliance with Russia to stop it, “camouflaged as a joint use of armies to fight natural disasters”. He made a controversial visit to East Germany after the fall of Berlin Wall. He was opposed to the swift recognition of Croatia and Slovenia, which he thought would lead to the violent implosion of Yugoslavia.....
....His major achievements came internationally, especially in the European Economic Community. He supported the enlargement of the Community to include Spain and Portugal (which both joined in January 1986). In February 1986 he helped the Single European Act come into effect. He worked well with Helmut Kohl and improved Franco-German relations significantly. Together they fathered the Maastricht Treaty, which was signed on 7 February 1992. It was ratified by referendum, approved by just over 51% of the voters....

“France by no means wants German unification, although it realises that in the end, it is inevitable,” Attali told his Russian counterpart.
Although Mitterrand didn’t exactly welcome German unification, he did feel that it was a legitimate goal for the German people, maintains French historian Frédéric Bozo.
And the President quickly grasped that the process was unstoppable, he believes. Paris understood that its only hope was to try to influence the direction of a unified Germany.
Mitterrand is now widely credited with persuading German Chancellor Helmut Kohl to work towards the creation of a Single European Market, and ultimately to sacrifice the cherished German currency, the Deutschmark, in return for French acceptance of reunification....

No Anti-Semitism in France?
By Véronique Chemla
Jacques Attali, a French Jewish intellectual, President of an NGO promoting microfinance PlaNet Finance, and former adviser to the late socialist President François Mitterrand, is on the record denying that anti-Semitism exists in France. Said Attali to Haaretz:
It is a problem which does not exist ... Bu****it, peanuts, lies ... I think it is propaganda, Israeli propaganda ... Zero! None whatsoever. It's a lie."
The Algiers-born Attali also denied "a problem of anti-Semitism among the Muslim community in France." He added:
It's crucial to Israel and to the whole world for Jews and Arabs in France to get along. These relations are of strategic importance: if they cannot live in harmony here, they cannot live in harmony anywhere.
The French Jewish organizations' leaders expressed strong indignation at Attali's denial of anti-Semitism in France. Richard Prasquier, President of CRIF, the umbrella representative body of French Jewish organizations, stated:
We have the good fortune of living in a country where the authorities and the political parties vigorously reject anti-Semitism. Unfortunately, in certain neighbourhoods - which Jacques Attali apparently does not go to - we are witnessing an increasing trend toward a climate of abhorrence of Jews which expresses itself through insults and, quite often, through physical aggression.
At the same time, SPCJ (Jewish Community Protection Service) published worrying figures: 631 anti-Semitic actions were recorded in the first half of 2009, 360 of which occurred in January during the Israeli Cast Lead military operation in Gaza, compared to 474 for the whole of 2008.
cont...
However, Attali maintained his controversial statement. On October 23, 2009, he was interviewed by Parisian Jewish Radio J's Editor in Chief, Michel Zerbib. Attali denied any current "wave of anti-Semitism" in France and explained that the French state was not anti-Semitic. He added:
ReplyDeleteThe word 'anti-Semite' designates Arabs too ... It is more difficult in France to be a Muslim than to be a Jew.
Finally, Attali expressed his support for Charles Enderlin in the al-Dura affair.
Ironically, on November 7, 2009, ex-socialist minister Jean-Louis Bianco declared to Journal du dimanche regarding the fall of the Berlin Wall and the German reunification:
[President Mitterrand] did not feel a certain fear about Germans, contrary to... Jacques Attali, who is Jewish. Attali was trying to attract Mitterrand to his own concerns, but unsuccessfully.
An indignant Attali denounced Bianco's "unconscious anti-Semitism."
On December 13, 2009, French Minister of the Interior Brice Hortefeux said that 704 anti-Semitic incidents have occurred in France between January and September 2009, compared with 350 incidents between January and September 2008.
Various stakes
Left-wing Attali has stirred up a recurrent controversy since 2000 in France about the worrying problem of anti-Semitism. The problem was denied or minimized until 2002 by French public authorities, especially by left-wing leaders. As Algeria-born professor Shmuel Trigano noted, it was then not "politically correct" to admit that many anti-Semitic incidents were committed by perpetrators of Muslim migrant descent; migrants were perceived as "innocent" because they were victims of racism.
Attali is denying a troubling reality. For instance, he not only contests that anti-Semitism exists in France -- and the French National Consultative Commission on Human Rights' figures refute this position -- but he also disputes the meaning of anti-Semitism (i.e., hatred of Jews).
When I asked Attali for an interview, he refused......read entire article...

ReplyDeleteThanks, fascinating information. It really helps connecting the dots to many things happening today.
I thought I was good at digging up information, but you have definitely impressed me. Remind me, never to try and hide from you (lol).
Would you say that the very leaders who profess their love for God, king and country, treacherously betray God, their king and their country to their own gods? In other words, the real battle is not with flesh and blood but with Powers and Principalities and the Rulers of the Darkness of this World, against Spiritual Wickedness in High Places (Eph. 6:12).
ReplyDeleteIt is no coincidence that the central tenet of the New Age Religions are at this present time ensnaring millions of fools into believing that they are gods and should all be looking for the "god within" to realise their godlike potential.
Everything occult and pagan didn’t start with the New Age Movement, as Dorothy points out earlier here in this thread, but sorcery did start with the Luciferic Impulse that raged across the lands of old and which manifested in the plethora of pagan religions which so horrified the Prophets of the Old Testament.
Today, the insidious works of Evil have fatally undermined the Moral Order that sustained and guided our ancestors.
There are innumerable people, groups and organisations working to destroy Western Christian Civilisation. Some of these may operate independently or appear to be autonomous and some may think they are indeed independent agents. However, they are all part of a great movement that threatens to overwhelm Western Christian Civilisation and so Natural Moral Order on Earth.
The values that created Western Christian Civilisation arose from Christian morality and therefore from the spirituality, the Christ Impulse, that emanated from the Cross at Calvary. It is a product of Natural Moral Order on Earth.
Christian spirituality, Christian morality and Christianity, are the main targets of the Organised Evil.
God help us.

Anonymous 2:45,
ReplyDeleteThe only hope for mankind is the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ through which God calls us into covenant with Himself.
When mankind fell through the sin of Adam and Eve in the garden, God provided a substitute for the death that He decreed. He killed an animal, shedding its blood to cover them. Their own covering, the fig leaves, would never suffice.
From that point on, God has required that relationship with Him is only on the basis of blood.
The pattern and system for worship that He required on Mt. Sinai was all based around blood sacrifice.
God came to earth in human flesh through the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus fulfilled all the law in his life, death, burial and resurrection. When He died and gave up His spirit on the cross, He applied His blood to the mercy seat in the Holy of Holies. God accepted the sacrifice, the veil of the temple--that blocked access to the presence of God--was torn in two.
He is our High Priest who provided a new and living way through the veil--that is His flesh--to give us access to God.
Like Abram (Abraham) of old, we come to Him in faith believing that His death, burial and resurrection is the payment for our sins that we ourselves cannot pay.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the only way, truth and life. No moral order will save us. The "christ impulse" will not only NOT save you, its origin is from the very pit of hell itself.
I pray that you will come to know the covenant love of God through the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Euro in 2010 Feels Like the Ruble in 1998
By ANDREW E. KRAMER
Published: May 11, 2010
MOSCOW — As the financial markets try to absorb news of a rescue package for Greece and other teetering euro-zone economies, some bankers and economists see parallels to Russia’s default in 1998.
A decade ago Russia was walking in the same shoes as Greece is today, striving to restore confidence in government bonds by seeking a huge loan from the International Monetary Fund and other lenders. Then, as now, the debt crisis was roiling global financial markets. And hopes were pinned on a bailout — one that in Russia’s case did not work.
“Greece creates a remarkable sense of déjà vu,” Roland Nash, the head of research for Renaissance Capital investment bank in Moscow, wrote in a recent note to investors. The 1998 bailout designed for Russia, in the form of a rescue package offered by the International Monetary Fund, had the effect of forestalling but not preventing Russia’s defaulting on its foreign debt.
During the month between the announced rescue and that default, Russian and Western banks frantically cashed out of short-term debt as it matured, changed the rubles into dollars and spirited the money out of Russia.
The bailout propped up the exchange rate through this process, enriching those bondholders who got out early and leaving the embittered Russian public holding the debt and having to pay back creditors, including the I.M.F. By Aug. 17, 1998, when the government announced a de facto default on Russia’s foreign debt and said it would allow the ruble to float more freely against the dollar, the World Bank and monetary fund had disbursed about $5.1 billion of the bailout money.
Some analysts say that if a similar pattern takes hold in the euro-zone rescue, it could be European taxpayers paying for the bailout while investors in Greek debt are largely made whole......
.....Economics aside, during the Russian crisis the failed bailout ended up altering the nation’s politics in ways still being felt.
In the midst of the crisis, as it became clear the monetary fund’s rescue was failing, fear of domestic unrest rose in Russia. Coal miners blocked the trans-Siberian railway and Muscovites made runs on banks.
Amid the turmoil, President Boris N. Yeltsin felt compelled to make a snap political decision. He replaced his chief of the Federal Security Service, a successor agency to the K.G.B., with a harder-line figure, the then little-known Vladimir V. Putin....read entire article...

THE ROSTOV SUMMIT
By Andrew Wilson - 28 May 10
The EU and Russia are gathering for their bi-annual summit in Rostov-on-Don on 31 May-1 June. The geographical symbolism is not good. Rostov is close to Russia's troubled North Caucasus, as well as to Sochi where Russia will host the Winter Olympics in 2014, only a few kilometres from Abkhazia and South Ossetia. On the other hand, the political mood-music before the summit is much better. The last summit in Stockholm in November arrested the deterioration in relations since the war in Georgia in 2008; now the main theme for the summit is set to be a ‘partnership for modernisation'.
EU Member States are closer together on Russia than they have been for a long time. Germany and France were always in favour of a new partnership. The Polish-Russian rapprochement is gathering pace. The Baltic States, led by Lithuania's new President, are newly pragmatic, given their pressing economic problems. Sweden has dropped its objections to Nordstream; the UK continues to push the Litvinenko affair, but with little hope of progress. Southern European states eye expanding business opportunities to aid their troubled economies. That leaves nearly all the main Member States in favour of a ‘reset' of relations......read more

Montreux summit to “pioneer” global governance
ReplyDeleteThe Swiss foreign minister is calling on the Francophonie summit of French-speaking nations to exert its influence and become a pioneer in terms of global governance.
The Swiss city of Montreux on Lake Geneva will host the 13th Francophonie Summit from October 22-24, which will focus on issues of global governance and democracy, sustainable development and cultural diversity.
Some 70 heads of state, 3,000 delegates and 600 journalists are expected to attend the get-together, representing one-third of all United Nations General Assembly member states, from both developed and developing nations.
“We need to be aware of this strength and use it to fight certain battles,” Micheline Calmy-Rey told swissinfo.ch at a news conference in Geneva on Friday.
But the International Organisation of La Francophonie (IOF) and its biennial summit should not simply be about cultural diversity and the promotion of French or it risks being quickly relegated “to the second division”, said the foreign minister.
“This is why we are fighting to make it influential... and pioneering in terms of global governance,” she added.
G20 primer
As is the tradition, the host nation proposes the main topics. Switzerland has opted for “challenges and future visions of French-speaking countries”, divided into three themes: “global governance, democracy, freedom and human rights”, “sustainable development – food security and climate”, and “French language – cultural diversity and innovation”.
“The summit must be a working forum for important international subjects,” former French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin told reporters on Friday after meeting Calmy-Rey to discuss the agenda.
Switzerland and France want the meeting to be as topical as possible, and build in issues that will be discussed during the G20 and G8 meetings, which will be led by French President Nicolas Sarkozy in November.
Food security has been deliberately chosen in view of the next Francophonie summit in 2012, which will be held in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
“I will preside over the Francophonie [organisation] from the opening of the Montreux summit for two years; Switzerland will be followed by the DRC.
“For the coherence and visibility of the OIF there has to be a thematic follow-on. And DRC was keen to look at food security – it’s one of the poorest countries in the world,” explained the foreign minister.
Blackwell Briggs
ReplyDeleteJD and any others who might be interested - this entire Blackwell Briggs is some bad taste marketing 'story game' funded (evidence points to, so far only) by Nokia. It never rang true to me and that's probably because I am in the UK and it 'speaks' in a culture and language known to me - so the recipe is very subtle and believable, mixing truth, lies and fear.
The 'Sir Ian Briggs' character does not exist. 'Blackwell Briggs' does not exist. The 'missing person' does not exist. It's all lies - all 'story game', all 'entertainment'.
Where it's leading I don't know - that's part of the game. There are clues and codes to crack.
YesNaSpanishTown described 'storygame' well.
Watch out - this is one of the online routes marketing campaigns are taking these days. We saw something similar from a futuristic sci-fi movie a good few months back - I can't remember the name of the movie but it seemed to be about the earth ending and only so many people being able to escape the doom and gloom. I remember someone here on the blog being very concerned about the site that went with it and their claims or issues.
When we sit and watch Lost, Heroes and other such stuff we knowingly go to the fiction and enter into the 'game'. When the game comes out of nowhere and appears on YouTube we receive what is thrown at us with no warning that what we are about to view is fiction.
Why Nokia should create such a poor taste campaign, I do not know.
Hope this helps.

Terri,
ReplyDeleteIn response to your remarks about my post (2:45), I catagorically state that I do not follow Anthroposophy.
I was emphatic about my belief that the modern approach to spirituality that characterises the New Age Movement belies its true nature. I believe its ultimate source is Gnosticism and its ultimate hierarchy is a Gnostic cult that orchestrates the vast endeavour that is the New Age. For, behind the apparent anarchy and benevolent image of the New Age lies a very ruthless and focussed cult that is its dark, sinister organising mind. This is a very ancient cult that practises a very ancient religion. It practices Luciferianism.
I do thank you sincerely for your sincere prayers for me.
Rudolf Steiner's writings were so evil, they almost made Bailey and Blavatsky sound relatively orthodox by comparison. Steiner wrote that when Jesus said the Holy Spirit would come he meant "THE LUCIFER SPIRIT."
ReplyDeleteShameless, unbridled blasphemy of the Holy Spirit!

ORGANISATION INTERNATIONALE DE LA FRANCOPHONIE
Francophonie is an international organization of polities and governments with French as the mother or customary language, wherein a significant proportion of people are francophones (French speakers) or where there is a notable affiliation with the French language or culture.
Formally known as the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) or the International Organization of the Francophonie,[2] the organization comprises 56 member states and governments, 3 associate members, and 14 observers. Francophonie may also refer, particularly in French, to the global community of French-speaking peoples,[3] comprising a network of private and public organizations promoting special ties among all Francophones.[4] In a majority of member states, French is not the predominant native language. The prerequisite for admission to the Francophonie is not the degree of French usage in the member countries, but a prevalent presence of French culture and language in the member country's identity, usually stemming from France's colonial ambitions with other nations in its history.
French geographer Onésime Reclus, brother of Élisée Reclus, coined the word Francophonie in 1880 to refer to the community of people and countries using the French language. Francophonie was then coined a second time by Léopold Sédar Senghor, founder of the Négritude movement, in the review Esprit in 1962, who assimilated it into Humanism........
.....The Francophonie has an observer status at the UN General Assembly. It has been renamed a few times since its founding:
20 March 1970: Agency for Cultural and Technical Co-operation (ACCT) (Agence de coopération culturelle et technique).
March 20 is now commemorated by the organization itself as the International Day of the Francophonie (Journée internationale de la Francophonie), also informally known as "The Celebration of the Francophonie"(la fête de la Francophonie).
4 December 1995: Intergovernmental Agency of the Francophonie (Agence intergouvernementale de la Francophonie)

LEOPOLD SEDAR SENGHOR
Léopold Sédar Senghor (9 October 1906 – 20 December 2001) was a Senegalese poet, politician, and cultural theorist who served as the first president of Senegal (1960–1980). Senghor was the first African to sit as a member of the Académie française. He was also the founder of the political party called the Senegalese Democratic Bloc. He is regarded by many as one of the most important African intellectuals of the 20th century....

ReplyDelete....Senghor was a supporter of federalism for newly independent African states, a type of "French Commonwealth". Since federalism was not favoured by the African countries, he decided to form, along with Modibo Keita, the Mali Federation with former French Sudan (present day Mali). Senghor was president of the Federal Assembly until its failure in 1960. Afterwards, Senghor became the first President of the Republic of Senegal, elected on 5 September 1960. He is the author of the Senegalese national anthem. The prime minister, Mamadou Dia, was in charge of executing Senegal's long-term development plan, while Senghor was in charge of foreign relations. The two men quickly disagreed. In December 1962, Mamadou Dia was arrested and suspected of fomenting a coup. He remained in jail for twelve years. Following this, Senghor created a presidential regime. On 22 March 1967, Senghor escaped an attempt on his life. The suspect, Moustapha Lô, was sentenced to death for treason and executed in June 1967.[citation needed]
He resigned his position before the end of his fifth term in December 1980. Abdou Diouf replaced him at the head of the country. Under his presidency, Senegal adopted a multi-party system (limited to three: socialist, communist and liberal) as well as a performing education system. Despite the end of official colonialism, the value of Senegalese currency continued to be fixed by France, the language of learning remained French, and Senghor ruled the country with French political advisors....

He (Senghor) supported the creation of la Francophonie and was elected vice-president of the High Council of the Francophonie.

Académie française: 1983-2001
He was elected a member of l'Académie française on 2 June 1983, at the 16th seat where he succeeded Antoine de Lévis Mirepoix. He was the first African to sit at the Academie. The entrance ceremony in his honor took place on 29 March 1984, in presence of then-French President François Mitterrand. This was considered as a further step towards greater openness in the Académie, after the previous election of a woman, Marguerite Yourcenar.
....Although a socialist, Senghor avoided the Marxist and anti-Western ideology that had become popular in post-colonial Africa, favouring the maintenance of close ties with France and the western world. This is seen by many as a contributing factor to Senegal's political stability: it remains one of the few African nations never to have had a coup, and always to have had a peaceful transfer of power.
Senghor's tenure as president was characterized by the development of African socialism, which was created as an indigenous alternative to Marxism, drawing heavily from the négritude philosophy....read more...

The CBC is in a quandary about Don Cherry's remarks,
Seems that what he said, got them mad and has set off some sparks,
Not politically correct so they started a witch hunt,
The Language Commissioner also said he was much too blunt.
So appointees at the CBC want an inquisition,
For this sports commentator when he explains his position,
Everything will be censored especially offensive remarks,
And Hockey Night in Canada may have to be played in the dark.
Because appointed officials are more important than players,
Protect politically correct mandarins and some soothsayers,
And then some members of parliament got involved in the fray,
Shouting and screaming and yelling to substantiate their pay.
They want to censor him using a seven-second delay,
Make sure he's politically correct when he describes the play,
This is how multicultural mandarins will deliver pain,
Inquisitors can't see themselves in the mirror, they're so vain.

The Francophonie group started in Versailles in 1986 as a movement to arrest the decline of French as an important language. It was a French counterbalance of the Commonwealth summit meetings and games. But nowadays it has evolved into a vast socialist network for developing countries and their protégés. There are fewer French speakers in the world than there are Portuguese speakers in Brazil and there are 12 Francophonie countries that do not have French listed as a language. It is a graphic illustration of the present Liberal government forcing English-speaking Canadians to support their global socialist policies within this so-called French language institution. And it is all very politically correct.
The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) tells us that we are part of La Francophonie, a vast network of 51 states and governments that share French as a common language.

ReplyDeleteThey conveniently overlooked the fact that the vast majority of Canadians speak only English and they also overlooked the 12 Francophonie countries that themselves do not speak French. These games are not about games. The athletes are relatively unknowns. These games are a vast expensive government propaganda institute on a scale seldom seen outside communist dictatorships and a slap in the face for unilingual English speaking Canadians who are forced to foot the bills. Unfortunately Canadians have long been trained not to protest.
These international socialist have Francophonie summit meetings and Francophonie games. La Francophonie met in Moncton in 1999 for the eighth Sommet des chefs d'État et de gouvernement des pays ayant le français en partage. It gives federal politicians another reason to travel the world as if they needed a reason. Six Francophone Summits have been held:
1987 Quebec
1989 Dakar
1991 Paris
1993 Port Louis
1995 Cotonou in Benin
1997 Hanoi
1999 Moncton New Brunswick.
Francophonie Games have and will be held:
1989 Morocco
1994 France
1997 Madagascar
2001 Canada Ottawa Hull area.
2005 Niger
The Francophonie organization now seems to be predominantly African and non-French speaking. Regardless, the Ottawa government loves them all and generously supports them with Canadian taxpayers dollars.
African Countries: Burkina Faso, Djibouti, Gabon, Morocco, Rwanda, Burundi, Central African Republic, Guinea, Niger, Togo, Benin, Comoros, Egypt, Guinea-Bissau, São Tome and Principe, Tunisia, Cameroon, Congo, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Mali, Senegal, Chad.
Countries in Francophonie that do not have French listed as a language: Cape Verde, Macedonia, Saint Lucia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Poland, São Tome and Principe, Bulgaria, Equatorial Guinea, Lithuania, Moldova, Romania.
The Francophonie Games were held in Ottawa-Hull in the summer of 2001. The government admitted to a cost of 40 million Canadian dollars but conveniently that does not include CIDA expenses -- another $40 million. Benoit Hubert, deputy director-general of the organizing committee, told a press conference that all Francophone African countries, except the Democratic Republic of Congo, attended. Hubert also said that the CIDA paid for the transportation of contingents from the developing countries. That should make the Canadian taxpayers feel better and take their minds off that $600 billion national debt.
Government House Leader Donald Boudria went to Quebec City in April 98 and begged for an agreement with Quebec Municipal Affairs Minister Rémy Trudel about these upcoming Francophonie Games because both France and Quebec had voted for these games to go to Beirut and voted against the Ottawa government in Cameroon in January 1997. There was a strong possibility that Quebec would boycott the games even though the federal government (we the taxpayers) would be paying for it. Quebec eventually won an equal partnership in the games although it only cost them $3 million, as if that could compare with the unknown multi millions the Canadian taxpayers would be paying. Don Cherry wrote in the Vancouver Province on March 31, 98 that Canada will spend $12 million to bring athletes to Canada for the games.
Canadian taxpayer dollars mean nothing to the Liberals. They want to be judged by their good international socialist deeds; not the bottom line -- $600 billion national debt.
At least 400 Francophonie types decided to stay in Canada and claimed refugee status. The Immigration Minister did not react as if this was unusual. These refugee claimants and future Liberal voters even had their transportation paid to Canada by the Liberal government.
