Solana has said little. He's had plenty of big international press in the days since the Irish rejection -- but on an international stage virtually representing the world on Iranian nuclear issues.
It appears he may be designating and/or allowing others to speak for him -- the unifying theme is that ONE VOICE is needed to speak for Europe on the world stage. According to the London Financial Times Denmark's Prime Minister Rasmussen delivered this warning to the Irish:
"The Lisbon treaty is already a political balance between conflicting interests. If you start cherry picking you open a Pandora's box and it will be a never ending process."
The Prime Minister warned the Irish to "follow Denmark." Denmark voted against the earlier Maastricht treaty to substitute the euro for national money. Denmark secured opt-outs against part of the treaty it objected to and only after those opt-outs were secured did the Danish voters say "yes."
Denmark's opt-outs may not last. They have an upcoming autumn referendum to remove two of the four ones.
Said Rasmussen at Thursday's EU summit, undoubtedly in Solana's approving presence:
"I strongly believe Lisbon provides us with the necessary framework for co-operation between 27 nations . . . We need an efficient decision-making system TO SPEAK WITH ONE STRONG VOICE on the international scene."
So far, Javier Solana has been the face and voice of Europe. I rather suspect he will not be out of a job anytime soon. His grandfather Salvador de Madariaga, as reported in a March 14, 1937 New York Times article, profoundly disapproved of universal suffrage -- the common man lacked sufficient education to make an informed decision.
I wonder how far the apple fell from that tree? Stay tuned!

The EU was not about to dismantle everything because Ireland said no. The opportunity to opt out of the EU that Ireland used is equivalent to an employer asking an employee if they want to accept that new project, just a polite question to which there is only one answer, one meant to give the illusion of civil behavior.
Some of the Irish stood up for themselves, far more than the citizens of the other countries were willing to do. We shouldn't turn up our noses at the weakened citizens in Europe. We're no better over here. At this point in time D.C. is our Brussels and our upcoming election is just a polite question.

Dorothy- Well said. I know my husband has tried to warn people (more on a financial front). They just continue on in their own world doing things as they have always done them.
Looking at the stories that I see across the regular Internet news outlets, I think that you are correct about the upcoming election.
In about a month, something big will happen. Solana's birthday is coming up and I think I know what present he wants and most likely will get.
This could get interesting. The EU appears to be showing a divided front here, but quite a few leaders are saying to move ahead with ratification.

The Czechs are an interesting show right now. There is a lot of debate happening about the implications of the Irish vote. Vaclav Klaus believes Lisbon is dead and doesn't want to sign it. It is currently tied up with their Supreme Court, who is reviewing it to make sure it doesn't conflict with their constitution (how could it not). A good deal of the Czechs, particularly the Green Party, want to ratify it. As I follow their debates, they sound so much like debates in the US. Dorothy's comments are too true. I heard that Ireland voted on paper ballots.

If EU breaks up due to banking it would set up OLD ROMAN EMPIRE which is Med. Union look at map.
I think we are in for some unexpected moves that we haven't thought about and God is orchastrating.
Solana does not strike me as the Antichrist, don't know why, but I think it will be someone we don't expect. He comes in because of a world disaster (banking?)then the papers are signed for the trib.
With food and water soon becoming a problem the Pale Horse has to be saddled and the end must be really close.
Natural disasters around the world due to weather seem to be in the bread baskets. HAARP or other countries? Weather wars?
Britain just stripped more rights away today. Argh.
Bank consolidation which is private wealth is moving at breakneck speed. They win in foreclosures and become even richer on their fiat money. Know about fractional banking? Funny money loans and we loose.

Or else...what?
Scanning the headlines today, there are some interesting themes developing. I won't post all the links, but you can look if you want at:
International Herald Tribune: Rumors of Israel doing a massive military exercise to hit Iran.
Another is Israel's broad American base of support, including gentiles. The Anglican church might split over the homosexual issue. Energy prices are affecting China, Egyptians have a fatalistic view Allah.
Moving to Jerusalem Post, Russia is warning against an attack on Iran( Eze 38). Hamas has called for a cease fire, which doesn't mean a think in Islam. It will probably help them strategically or they would never do it. In the mean time they still train people to kidnap Israeli soldiers. Olmert is expecting a miracle to save his job, so he believes God can save His job, but He doesn't believe in what God says about the land.
In the midst of this yes, we have the Lisbon treaty on hold. EU has given the special status to Israel, which doesn't mean much since they fund the Palestinians continually ( regardless of what's done with the money) and want to divide the land.
Food and oil prices remain high as the world goes into recession and yet the EU central bank refuses to lower rates, making the euro a more attractive currency than the dollar.........oh and lets not forget the Bear Stearns hedge fund managers going on trial. It's always good to find scape goats when the whole regulatory environment went to hell in a hand basket as banks made sub-prime loans and then our Fed raised interest rates 17 times in a row, only to reduce them with great urgency as the economy began to crumble.
Knowing that our economy would fall, Bernanke raised rates 17 times in a row. I am not an economist from Yale and I could see that, so why couldn't he. Is it possible that the EU Central bank is following the example of the US Fed, so that their economies will tumble too? If so, the threat of severe economic decline, high oil and food prices could be the thing that causes everyone to do anything that is asked of them so that they can keep their comfortable lifestyles? Just speculating here.
ABC news focuses on the two potential Presidential wives. Do we like Michelle or Cindy? Talk about dumbing down the public. Is this the most important question Americans can reflect on?
A few thoughts this morning......
I'm so glad it's almost Shabbat, and we can remember the rest we have in Yeshua. If you think that God cancelled the 4th commandment, I would encourage you at sundown to take a day of rest and reflect on His Word, His provision and His victory in Yeshua. Talking about food shortages, the manna on the 6th day was adequate to feed the children of ancient Israel for the 7th day too. Shabbat means to cease from our labors. If we do this and we trust Yeshua, we can have true rest. He is the bread of life, the Word that became flesh and dwelt among us.....Shabbt doesn't save you, but it's a sign that we have joined ourselves to His people and it's a reminder that one day soon, He will return and reign for 1000 years, which is the 7th millennium, the millennium of peace or shalom.
Shabbat shalom,

I haven't tried the links yet. The best way is to go to www.tinyurl.com
and make them timy so they fit on the line.
A little background here: Dion is the leader of Canada's federal "Liberal" party and the Liberals are not in power right now. We have a Conservative minority. "Minority" means that if the Conservatives try to pass legislation that the other 3 parties don't get on board with, there could be a 'non-confidence' motion which would force a federal election. The Liberals don't want this at the moment because they remain highly unpopular (after several consecutive and increasingly corrupt terms in office) and they would surely lose. Well, we'll now see how strong the new agers are in Canada:
http://tinyurl.com/4rkb68
Dion is talking about the 'green shift'. Notice the BLATANTLY new age terminology, buzz word, code word, catch phrase, what-have-you.Thus far, in an opinion poll that CTV news conducted, 77% of respondents opposed this 'green plan'.
Where I live, on a grass roots level, nearly everyone I talk to has a great deal of common sense when it comes to the 'environmental' issue. But this does tend to be a rather conservative, fundamentalist region. When I was a new ager, I practiced strictly 'in the closet' so to speak. Having said that, I do find a bit of new age gradually creeping in, and I think our biggest local church, the Covenant Church, needs to take great good care. I see subtle 'new age' woo practices popping up locally here and there and in and among members. They're creeping in via alternative health therapies and environmental concerns thus far.
Must say I think there is too much attention on Solana here. Check out the background on Obama's campaign website. Right click the blue area and you'll be able to print or save the image. I think it is a phoenix, not an eagle. It's head is turned left- indicating opposition. He's carrying the world (His logo, which is the same as the Lucis Trust logo) to a place they are opposed to. Above the bird it says Z PLuribus Unum- in Latin it means "Z=he is a live", e pluribus unum means out of many- one. More scrutiny is necessary here.
Unless Lucis trust changed their logo- it did not at all resemble what I saw on Obama's site.
I saw the "bird" that you were talking about. How could you possibly tell if it is an eagle or a phoenix? How could you be able to tell the difference? The phoenix is not in my bird identification book. I know, it's mythological, so what does one really look like?
Perhaps my screen resolution is bad, or I don't see well, but I couldnt't even decipher the "Z" from and "E" on the screen.
I don't mean to be contentious
anon 10:34, but I think it is a stretch, however, I do think you are right,we need to keep our eyes on all political leaders

Dawn, many thanks!
I am very grateful for your help and I have bookmarked the "Tiny URL" site for future use.
I had hoped that the links would post as "blue clickies" so that they wouldn't have to be copy-pasted at all.
I wouldn't have ordinarily posted so many links, but I thought that the ones I did post gave a good overview of why the Irish "No-voters" voted "No" on the Lisbon Treaty referendum.
Dorothy was right in saying that "We shouldn't turn up our noses at the weakened citizens in Europe."
I would add that we may be mistaken in assuming that the rank and file citizens of Europe are necessarily weak to begin with.
In fact, I included a video of Europeans protesting the undemocratic way in which this treaty appears to have been crammed down everyone's throat vis a vis denying the majority of the citizens of Europe a referendum.......a video that Lisbon Treaty supporters reportedly don't want anyone to see. Here it is again on my first "Tiny URL" link. :-)
http://tinyurl.com/6rsrf5
Such a denial of a referendom (a.k.a. opportunity for the rank and file citizens to vote for or against the Lisbon Treaty) is redolent of the way in which we citizens of the U.S. have been denied a referendum on certain issues vis a vis our own unelected activist judges who have on more than one occasion usurped the authority of elected representatives of the people by legislating from the bench.
I am from the state of Massachusetts....the first state to have "gay marriage" imposed on us by judicial fiat. Need I say more?
Again, Dawn, many thanks.

Heard that all banks including the Central Bank in the EU is going belly up or almost.
Then the new private gold banks will have gold and print money based the gold.
The banks now with rare exception are private including our Federal Reserve so it is simply a consolidation and "they" will own the gold banks. The golden rule is who has the gold rules.
What banker do we know that could come out of the Old Roman Empire or Rome?
We may...may go to DEY or Dollar, Euro and Yen, which would mean no Amero possibly. It's pronounced day.
The DEY could/would be backed by private banks gold.
Where is America's gold, to my knowledge it has been sold off slowly, anyone know? What happened to the truck loads of gold in the WTC basement?
No one can go into Fort Knox and look down the halls to see how much is there.
Now is the time to buy gold and silver or precious metals I think. Two year options?

will not satan try to duplicate prophecy? are we seeing this? have we seen constant "peace" agreements that have failed? in med school they use to tell us in differential dx that when you hear hoof thuds don't immediately think zebras.
we are no doubt in end times, and should be watching, but we could be seeing a "first" "false" end of times?? has anyone debated that in self thought and study? it's my belief that the tribulation will be so horrid none of us will escape it's clutches of suffering. Jesus is my LORD and KING, his death and ressurection is our everything. shouldn't we be putting 90% of our effort in him and not on something he said on he knows?
Jesus expressed real irritation when he was here on those who could not or would not read the signs of their times -- he criticized them for being able to discern the weather but not the "signs of the times."
Are we any different. Why are so many "Christians" telling other Christians: "go back to sleep -- nothing is happening."
EVERYTHING is happening. This morning as I awoke to feed the dogs and let them out (they don't recognize Saturday morning as my official "sleep-in day", I am watching C-Span talk about the USA economy being, per the International Monetary Fund, in deep recession and perhaps even "permanent stagnation." Fears abroad at "lack" of oil and over "food prices."
The rider on the black horse is perhaps prancing?
I think we had all better wake up. More important, we must make peace with our Lord -- our time may be short-termed limited to do so. Perhaps the day is fast approaching of which John the Revelator warned: when God would say, "let him that is righteous be righteous still -- let him that is filthy be filthy still -- it is finished."
We don't want to be on the wrong side of THAT "digital divide."

By the way, the discussion about Israel striking Iran, along with the threats from Russia, and the UN nuclear inspector are heating up. Earlier in the week California performed gay marriages, and this morning there's a fire in San Francisco. Hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

We could pray that this ruling would be turned back. I'm thinking of the way that Moses interceded on behalf of Israel ( not that I'm comparing US with Israel).
Num. 14:19 “Pardon, I pray, the iniquity of this people according to the greatness of Your lovingkindness, just as You also have forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.”
I'm thinking of the way Abraham interceded on behalf of his nephew Lot, " if there are 10 righteous men, will you destroy the city".
If our hearts are grieved to see this ruling pass, how much more is God's and what would He do in response to His people's intercession? Just a thought....We are not helpless and the giants are not too big. Having said that maybe this is the time God is giving our nation, and the other nations of the world over to what they want (Romans 1), but we should follow the example of Abraham and Moses and intercede. Yeshua interceded too, "Father forgive them for they know not what they do."
God is patient and slow to anger and filled with compassion. At one time, we too were lost and without hope, dead in our sins and trespasses, but through God's incredible mercy He sent Yeshua to die for us.
The generation who rebelled did not go into the Promised Land( except Caleb and Joshua), Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed( but Lot and his family escaped) The Temple was destroyed, but myriads of Jews were saved and were zealous for the Torah (Acts 21:20)
Who are the giants of our day? Is it the EU leaders,
the homosexual movement, Islam, etc. Just some things to reflect on as we watch the signs of the times develop.
Shabbat shalom,
Joyce
satan and his minions will pose as angels of light and try to deceive - in anyway they can.
The true tribulation - or the 3 1/2 year period of the Lord God's wrath being poured out in full measure - wil be indescribably horrifying, and just.
Praise be the Savior, whos name is above all names - Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
DouginMI
Doug,
For those of us who take a post-trib, pre-wrath position, the tribulation will be terrible but the wrath will be worse. As God was pouring plagues on the Eygptians, the Israelites received protection.
Ex. 13:15 ‘It came about, when Pharaoh was stubborn about letting us go, that the LORD killed every firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man and the firstborn of beast. Therefore, I sacrifice to the LORD the males, the first offspring of every womb, but every firstborn of my sons I redeem.
Paul said when talking about the Exodus:
1Cor. 10:11 Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.
Not trying to start a controversy, just giving a different point of view. Having said that, no one wants to go through the Tribulation, but Yeshua said, that it would be "after the tribulation of those days that we would see the sign of HIs coming."
The plain reading of the text is "immediately after" which is hard to get away from. I checked a number of different translations to see if the translators had any disagreement, but they all say the same thing. The Greek lexicons support this translation of the word "meta".
“But immediately after the tribulation of those days THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND THE STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. “And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory. Matt 24:29-30
I believe what is referred to as the "rapture" is actually the resurrection, so this would be one event which occurs at the last trumpet.
1Cor. 15:52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. 1Th 4:16-17
As for a "secret rapture" prior to Yeshua's return, there is just no evidence. In fact Scripture says the following about assertions of secret appearances.
Matt. 24:26 “So if they say to you, ‘Behold, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out, or, ‘Behold, He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe them.
We are given one clear description by Yeshua Himself of what His second coming will look like. I think we need to heed His Words and be prepared that it will be "after". The confusion comes from the translation of the word "ekklesia" to church which creates 2 events, one the church and one Israel. This problem can be easily resolved with the correct translation of the word "ekklesia" to mean "called out assembly" just like the "called out assembly" in the Wilderness i.e. God has One people.
Paul says it clearly in Ephesians:
But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, Ephesians 2:13-14.
The 2 groups become ONE.. 2000 years of Church history has distorted the fact that we are One called out people. There is One God, One plan of Salvation, and One called out people. We are either physical descendants of Israel, or we are "grafted in" to the Olive Tree called Israel. When Scripture is read according to the plain sense of the text with correct translation, this is very clear.
God has never had a "different set of rules" for different peoples. He is not a God of confusion:
Num. 9:14 ‘If an alien sojourns among you and observes the Passover to the LORD, according to the statute of the Passover and according to its ordinance, so he shall do; you shall have one statute, both for the alien and for the native of the land.’”
The plagues of Exodus have parallels to the the judgments in Revelations. While the Egyptians were plundered, the Israelites were delivered on dry land. We can take great comfort in this.
Again, Doug, I don't want to start a controversy, but I do want to share another perspective. Sorry about the length of the comment, but it's hard to illustrate without the relevant verses.
I do believe this is related to the New Age, because some false Messiah will appear and we should be careful to see what Scripture says about Yeshua's second coming, as well as what it says about the antimessiah.
Shalom,
Joyce

I am absolutely willing to be wrong on this, so please, could you describe for me how the logos are similar.
What I saw on Obama's site was a sun like object on the horizon of a field of red and white stripes
What I saw on the Lucis trust site was a bright crystal like or prism like area under a bluish rainbow or arch.
Please describe if I was seeing the wrong thing
Thanks
Leana
DouginMI,
funny that you said: "pray for pre, hope for mid, plan for post ..........the Lord's will be done." I just told my two son's that very thing. "One Spirit, many voices."
Top half of Obama's logo is a blue arch over a white sun. Lucis Trust has the same blue arch over a white sun, only with white rays coming from the sun.
Because the phoenix photo shot moves so rapidly by and is also blurred, it's hard to see what is being talked about. It took me a number of looks to see the bird is not an eagle. Information about the occult iconography used by the Obama campaign has been posted here several times.
Doug,
I agree that we are not destined to wrath and yes, you are a brother in Messiah. I'm sure we agree on the essentials of the faith.

Thanks for the reply, I guess it is very subtle
I was able to copy the bird image as a jpeg and view it on some photo editing software. It makes it easier to analyze.
I can't really tell what kind of bird it is, but it is strange that he would have that kind of a logo, that you really don't see as it is hidden behind all the pages as they load up.
I guess, I am hesitant to create too much conspiracy around a logo- just being cautious.
Thanks for the heads up though,

15)That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness, and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,

29) Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30) And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31) And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
( Matt. 24:29-31)
13) And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence come they?
14) And I said unto him, Sir thou knowest. And he said to me, these are they which came out of great tribulation, and having washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

I didn't think I'd ever thank you for a lead, but I am now.

Quite often I look to see where the same phone number is being used. 831-626-1004 leads to Darwin Project News. That piece titled Obama and Human Evolution must be read. At Sourcewatch listed above, you'll find:
"Darwin Project Council
Members include brain scientists Paul D. MacLean and Karl Pribram, psychologist Milhaly Csikszentmihalyi, biophysicist Mae-Wan Ho, theologian Hans Kung, systems philosophers Ervin Laszlo and Helena Knyazeva, and Darwin biographer Robert J. Richards."
This information really deserves a long piece by itself or a Cumbey show.
For those who don't want to bother with details, just look at the pages and know that behind the scenes this is how networking works. People who think alike share ideas with each other. In the bigger picture everyone can be influenced toward New Age ideas even though they are not labled New Age. Where the guard of people is not up, they can be turned.

Interesting information on the Joshua crowd...if it's true.
If Obama does win, he'll start out being hated by more people than hate Bush after 8 years.

Caution: I believe there is an energy "non-crisis," but I do not trust Lindsey Williams as a legitimate source. He has confessed his belief in the "serpent seed" doctrine. He has bragged that he uses hypnosis and mind control to increase his book and tape sales at his speaking engagements. I heard him say on Marlin Maddoux that the whole atomic armaments were a hoax because atomic bombs could only detonate where the ley lines permitted -- an old and long standing occult theory. He is also tight with Eustace Mullins who I rightly consider one of the most evil men alive!

Here is another look (from CNN) at Obama's logo - side by side with the Seal of the President of the United States:
http://tiny.cc/XGC4o
The shield says a lot about his ego. As someone else wrote, the next picture will be Obama carrying a cross. It's getting to be overkill with his visuals. I feel I'm being poked with a stick and someone is yelling "Get it yet?"
Yesterday at lfg people were writing Obama type signs for his campaign. I liked "I would go off the cliff for Obama."
A stable birth in occupied Israel was the birth place for Jesus Christ our LORD and savior, but this, from the link that Joyce provided: "Billions are needed to bring about the re-construction of human affairs and thus purify and beautify our modern world to such an extent that the Christ can appear among men; through the wise expenditure of the financial resources of the world in the many fields of human betterment and uplift, the Christ will be enabled to 'see of the travail of His soul and be satisfied'." (Discipleship in the New Age, vol. II, p. 226)
Note the blasphemy at the end, which is a hallmark of those possessed by something; Bill Clinton’s possession was his pride, in this case it is more like that which gripped Alice Bailey.

Constance
Zil,
the picture that I was able to look at from Obama's background was different from the seal at your link.
It is more a bird perched as if about to go in flight with the obama logo directly underneath. It appears that there is the "shield" underneath it with perhaps a flag looking banner being pierced by a spear. Also a laurel garland draped.
There is a ring of stars around the bird/flag/shield image and three distinct star outlines above the birds head.
What the symbolism is supposed to convey is anyone's guess.

The first logo seems to have a lotus blossom behind it. Here is the lotus blossom in connection with the Great Invocation from Lucis Trust. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0hswbIGKcs
It's part of a two-parter on the Great Invocation discussed with Alice Bailey.
Can it all be just a big coincidence?
Leana, one of the researchers here must have a book on reading symbols which would help out. Symbols are a big thing in the occult. It's not so out of bounds. I remember artists who did oils in the middle ages used all manner of symbols in their paintings.

In response to your question,"Has the US signed on with the UN or EU yet? Does anybody know? We seem to be conforming to their standards."
First of all, since we are not a part of Europe, I can't see how we could be signing on in that sense.
But in terms of something like a so-called "World Court" or "World Anything" while it does seem that in certain ways we appear to be conforming to their standards,(i.e. bypassing the democratic process vis a vis activist judges), given the following articles, I find it hard to believe that the U.S. has completely "bought the socialist farm"...yet.

On a more positive note, the news that recently made my day had to do with the victorious outcome of Boeing's protest after a U.S. Airforce military contract was awarded to Northrop Grumman and EADS. I thought it was apalling that foreign powers ( France and Germany) should be involved in the manufacture our military aircraft.
Apparently, I am not the only one.

"Boeing victory: GAO calls for new bids for Air Force tanker"
By Les Blumenthal | McClatchy Newspapers
WASHINGTON — The Government Accountability Office concluded Wednesday that the Air Force made "significant errors" in awarding a $35 billion contract for aerial-refueling tankers to a team that included a European aerospace company.
In a major victory for Boeing, the GAO recommended that the Air Force reopen the competition and rewrite contract specifications.
"Our review of the record led us to conclude that the Air Force had made a number of significant errors that could have affected the outcome of what was a close competition between Boeing and Northrop Grumman," the GAO said. "We therefore sustain the Boeing protest."
The Air Force has 60 days to respond to the GAO recommendations, which are not binding. But some lawmakers on Capitol Hill suggested the GAO decision was such a "vindication" for Boeing that it ought to be awarded the contract outright without a new contract competition. Others said they would be watching closely to see if the Air Force learned anything.
"If they decide not to rebid, it would be insanity and Congress would order them to," said Rep. Norm Dicks, D-Wash. But, Dicks added, "If their top priority is to get a plane as quickly as possible, they should give it to Boeing."
In March the Air Force awarded the contract to replace 179 Eisenhower-era KC-135 tankers to Northrop Grumman and the European Aeronautic Defense and Space Co., the parent company of Boeing's chief commercial airplane rival, Airbus. The Air Force said Northrop-EADS had bested Boeing in virtually every category and insisted the competition was fair and open.
Two weeks later Boeing filed its protest with the GAO, arguing the Air Force contract award was riddled with errors and needed to be overturned.....read more...

Besides the obvious link between the Prince and Laszlo in the Club of Rome, I'm wonder if there's more there..
The Jordanian Royal family is involved in AoC, Common Word, Club of Rome and the SAIV. In addition to that, the former King is buried on Temple mount and in 2006 Jordan began putting up the 5th minaret on Temple Mount.
Their interest in peace along with the Saudi Prince AlWaleed bin Talal is very suspect. He also has interesting New Age connections with Barbara Marx Hubbard being a co-backer for AoC's,& Harvard, Abraham's Path.

If you go to the Obama nation blogspot, look at the bird in the subliminal which Young Grasshopper captured as a picture. The bird is hard to read because there are three sections. The one on the left is definitely a wing. The one in the middle doesn't look like a wing because it looks blocky and it looks like an airplane front heading out. But it is a wing. The head is the third section on the right.
What we may be seeing is the backside of the bird which can crap on the flag underneath his backside.

Hi Susanna,
I believe I am correct in saying that there is no such thing as a UK public school curriculum. Scotland has it's own curriculum and education and qualifications system.
I fear that this 'non-teaching of the holocaust in the UK' is becoming an urban myth!
The first public comments posted on the Times article (as referenced above) date back to April 2nd 2007.
The BBC News published this story on their site which was last updated on 17th April 2007.

It would be useful to hear more of what your friend has to say on this matter - it may well be it's a local school decision if a decision has been made at all.
It's helpful to keep in mind that when the English press refer to the UK sometimes they do so incorrectly and only mean England!
I am an Englishwoman living in Scotland - my children have been educated and I have worked in schools (non-teaching capacity), in both England and Scotland.

Ooops correction - I should have said 'Telegraph article'!!!

Constance,
When I read your post in response to my post of Lindsey Williams I decided to do a search on him, which I should have done before I posted the link in reference to him.
I have just spent the last 3 hours trying to find any bio information on him.
All that I could find after searching about 100 pages is only references to his videos or book on the energy crisis. Zero, nothing, nada, on ANY biographical info as to his back round, or beliefs, except that he is an ordained Baptist minister, which can mean anything.
I find this extremely troubling.
In the interest of those who might have read my post and viewed the link to his videos, and are not aware of his possible New Age affiliations, are there any suggestions or information you could provide to warn unsuspecting others that might have been steered to him by my post?
I am sorry to have caused this inconvenience.
I am quite troubled that he has been "sanitized" from his bio information.
Again, I must apologize for this.

Thanks for the information. After I read your message I ran a more in-depth search on the subject.
I now realize I should have been more precise.
My friend lives in Heywood, Lancashire, and she frequently travels back and forth to London on business. She was referring to England only.
She also told me that in some parts of England they couldn't fly the Union Jack for fear of incurring the wrath of the Muslim community.
Here are some other articles about this Holocaust issue that appear to be credible.
However, I am always willing to stand corrected if I have been misinformed since I am only too well aware that the news media is far from being infallible.

Dear Constance,
I have been following the Boeing - EADS/Airbus situation like a hawk since I first learned about the alleged insider trading on the part of Noel Forgeard as soon as he learned that electrical problems were going to cause a delay in the delivery of the new Airbus A380.

Even before this all happened, there had been an ongoing dispute between Boeing and Airbus before the World Trade Organization over possibly illegal government subsidies being doled out to Airbus by various EU member nations.....especially a government subsidy called "launch aid" - assistance toward the development of new aircraft. I don't know what you would call this but it sure sounds like socialism to me.
For its part, EADS/Airbus contends that Boeing receives indirect "subsidies" vis a vis government contracts.
If so, then wouldn't Airbus be "double dipping" by being awarded a U.S. military contract by our Airforce???
But we didn't hear EADS/Airbus hollering about U.S. "subsidies" when they thought THEY were on the receiving end of it, did we? They were as quiet as mice.

Hi Susanna,
Yes, it's OK to fly the Union Flag where I live although it would be a far more common sight to see the Scottish Saltire being flown.
One of the last towns I lived in England (and where my family are still based around) is a multi cultural town on the outskirts of West London - Slough. The local primary school that my children were 'guaranteed a place at' had a (then) school roll of approximately 96% Pakistani Muslim children. We lived in a predominantly Muslim part of town 'sandwiched' between two mosques. Our children were accepted into a different school outside of our area - our decision was based on the fact that the vast majority of their would be peers did not speak English in their early years.
Even living where we did and choosing not to attend the local school I believe that had we personally wanted to fly the Union Flag we would have been free to do so. We lived in peace with our neighbours and held a mutual respect for them and their culture as they did for us despite not even sharing the English language or the same faith.
Slough now faces serious immigration issues from the influx of Eastern Europeans. Here's a link to a 2007 Daily Mail article that touches on it;

The practicalities obviously need to be addressed for the well being of all but the teaching of our (then) church was that we were fortunate in that we didn't need passports and visas to witness to peoples from other nations. :)

Seems to me we had another candidate 4 years ago that tried to capture this very important vote. He's going after the younger generation who has been influenced by the Emergent Church, which I find very interesting. This is the group that has had New Age infiltration, with Contemplative Prayer, Labyrinths, yoga, etc. I think it is fair to say they don't have a lot of Biblical discernment and at some level are probably very susceptible to mass brain-washing techniques. Alice Bailey clearly talked about this type of infiltration.
They are being talked in the social justice agenda, which is nothing more than a cover for the UN Millennium Development Goals. With the demographic shift, I'm sure Obama's campaign people studied this trend very carefully. This is a generation who will not identify with a McCain, not that he is any better.
The Emergent Church have been highly influenced by the Catholic Mystics who went to the East to study Buddhism and Hinduism. As the more traditional mainline Churches have failed to attract the younger generation, the marketing arm of Evangelicalism has worked hard to find ways to "attract" the younger generation. What it has produced is a generation who do not see the spiritual deception and will help usher in the apostasy. Some of their practices are tantamount to channeling.
Rick Warren also introduced similar concepts to the Jews several years ago through "Synagogue 3000", his version of the "emerging synagogue".

Hi "K"
The information you have shared is very enlightening as well as uplifting. It sounds similar to the peaceful and respectful way in which we ordinary folks relate to Muslims and other ethnic groups on a day to day basis here where I live.
In fact, a relative of mine was married to a Muslim gentleman from Istanbul, Turkey. They lived in Boston, Massachusetts.
When they came to my house to celebrate the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays, or at any other time, I kept a kosher table for him. And if the Holiday happened to fall during the Islamic month of Ramadan, we would simply delay dinner until sunset. His mosque printed out special cards every year that gave the exact time for sunset - the time when he was allowed to end his fast.
Many are unaware that Muslims also join in the festivities at Christmas because even though they do not worship Jesus as God, they nevertheless revere Jesus as one of God's greatest messengers to mankind. They also acknowledge the Virgin birth of our Lord. In fact, the Virgin Mary is mentioned in the Koran more than thirty times - more often than Muhammad's own daughter Fatima. Of his daughter, Fatima, the founder of Islam, Mohammad, said: "She has the highest place in heaven after the Virgin Mary."
Incidentally, in all the time I knew him, I never heard this Muslim gentleman utter one bad word about the Jewish people. In fact, he was thrilled that my grocery store featured a Jewish kosher butcher because he was allowed to eat food that was either Jewish kosher or Islamic kosher - with the Jewish kosher being the more strict of the two, according to him.
He was a very evout Muslim and prayed five times a day. Whenever he came to my house, he would bring his prayer rug and I provided him with a room where he could be private and showed him where North was so he could pray facing in the proper direction -towards the Holy Mosque in Mecca...... simply for uniformity and homogeneity in the prayers of all Muslims around the world and not as an act of worship to the mosque itself.
We had many interesting conversations about our common faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and we had many friendly and non-threatrening discussions about our beliefs concerning Jesus Christ and why Christians believe Jesus Christ is God. I explained that according to St. Paul, our Christian faith stands or falls on the historicity of Christ's Resurrection, and that every Apostle except St. John - who is said to have been miraculously delivered from being boiled in oil before being exiled to Patmos - died as a result of preaching the Good News....that Jesus Christ the Son of God who had died on the cross to save us from our sins was risen from the dead.
When this Muslim gentleman insisted on thanking me a zillion times for keeping a kosher table for him, I simply paraphrased St. Paul in reply:
"If by eating meat I would cause my brother to sin, then I shall not eat meat."
P.S. "K" - The reason why many of us here in the United States are against illegal immigration apart from the possibility of a terrorist threat is precisely for the reasons described in the Daily Mail article for which you have provided the link....the huge unplanned strain on social services. Here is the link to the article again:
http://tinyurl.com/6qg2bf
Most of us are not against legal immigration. We are, after all, "a country of immigrants."
Susana,
The Qu'ran is a counterfeit of the Bible, although I would not say that to a Muslim. I would point them to the Bible, which they think has been corrupted.
We need to distinguish between the Muslim people are under the bondage of Islam, and the spirit of Islam, which is the spirit of antimessiah. As believers in Yeshua, we should treat people with kindness of course and that includes Muslims. We do not need to be "Islamophobic" anymore than we should be "homophobic". We should realize that Muslims are usually Muslims because they were born in a Muslim family. ( just as we shouldn't hate homosexuals, but try to share the truth with them about the Bible so they can repent and leave their sinful practices)
There are converts to Islam, but they are in a minority. Being a Muslm becomes an identity, so it's impossible for these people to imagine themselves believing in the God of Israel, or Yeshua. Our battle is not against "flesh and blood" as it says in Ephesians. We need to make clear distinction between people and the spirits controlling them.
The Qu'ran describes an Isa ( Yeshua) who is not the Yeshua of the Bible because he did not die, nor was he resurrected, so that Miriam and Isa of the Qu'ran are counterfeits. Mohamed had relations with a renegade priest and with Jews so he was familiar with the stories of the Bible. Muslims eat halal, which is not exactly the same as kosher, although they believe in slaughtering the animals the same way. They will eat kosher food, no problem, but most of them do not like Jews. That's a fact. I know former Muslims who believe in Yeshua and they will be the first to admit that prior to knowing Yeshua, they hated Jews. Sometimes even after believing in Yeshua, they have issues to work through because of their anti-semitic upbringing.
The most important form of Muslim anti-semitism expresses itself in anti-Zionism. The majority of Muslims do not believe that the Jews have the right to be in the Land of Israel and that they are "occupying it illegally" . This is not a Biblical concept since God gave the Land to Israel. Aliens can live there, but they must live in peace with Israel.
We should not hate anyone, as believers in Yeshua, but we need to be careful about comparing the Qu'ran to the Bible. Mohamed had "a vision" of the "angel Gabriel" supposedly and received the revelation. Remember that the Bible says that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
The recent trend for people to use the Qu'ran to witness to Muslims is very dangerous. We legitimize a false book when we do this. I'm not saying that you did this, but there are those that do.
Shalom,
Joyce

"the antichrist" has to be someone who has not had the honor of kingship conferred upon him. If he becomes president- I would think that would negate that possiblity. Of course, there is still time for that, except that once this man gets his authority, we should expect it to be halfway through the tribulation.
Also, "the antichrist"'s authority in the end is conferred upon him by a group of 10, in fact he comes out of the 10.
I do feel like you are doing a service to all to bring up Obama's record, and some of this strange imagery.
Please, if you can, though, tell me how you decided the bird is a phoenix instead of an eagle. I just can not figure that one out.

Joyce,
I understand and respect what you are saying, Joyce, but I have not used the Koran to witness to the Muslim gentleman who was often a guest in my home.
Since I don't believe that I am going to make too many converts by figuratively going around "kicking people in the shins," I think that like you, I would also avoid telling a Muslim that the Koran is a "counterfeit Bible."
Ergo my ongoing policy of keeping a kosher table for observant followers of Judaism or Islam who happen to be guests in my home.
What kind of Christian would be so uncharitable and callous as to refuse to enable a non-Christian to live to the highest good that he/she does know? What right would I have to cause such a one to sin against that good before he/she has come to know Christ as Lord and Savior and Messiah?
Do you remember the "Chronicles of Narnia: The Last Battle" by the late C.S. Lewis?
The Calormene Emeth mistakenly but sincerely worships the false god "Tash" thinking he is the same as "Aslan" because Tash has been given the new name "Tashlan."
________________________
"Emeth, who expects Tash to smite unbelievers with heavenly fire, goes searching for Tash in Aslan's Country, but instead meets Aslan. Aslan tells Emeth 'all the service thou hast done to Tash, I accept as service done to me' and further explains 'no service which is vile can be done to me, and none which is not vile can be done to him'. He explains that Emeth's pious devotion was really to Aslan, rather than to Tash, although Emeth had not been aware of this, and Emeth finds great happiness in this revelation."

In her book HIDDEN DANGERS OF THE RAINBOW, Constance Cumby rightly points out that there may be a few surprises on Judgement Day for certain Christians in name only who may see "some poor pagan who did the best he could with the little knowledge he did possess standing redeemed and joyous before the throne while the apostates and hypocrites (and Pharisees)watch with gnashing of teeth from outside."

I think that I have also indicated from my discussion with "K" that I know the difference between radical Islamo-fascists/ terrorists and ordinary rank and file Muslims like the ones with whom I am personally acquainted.
If I have read the Koran, it was in order to gain - at least in part - an intelligent understanding of the Islamic faith. As I was taught by my Irish grandmother who also happened to be a professional schoolteacher.... understanding another person's beliefs and/or points of view is not the same thing as agreeing with them. I think the late great C.S. Lewis would have approved.
Since the Old Testament is part of the Christian canon,(Sh'ma Yis'ra'eil Adonai Eloheinu Adonai echad" proclaims, there IS but one God), I do not need the Koran in order to witness to a Muslim that we both believe in the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. Moreover, no other religion than that of the Christian Bible teaches a "resurrection of the dead," so the fact that I discussed the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and the future resurrection of the dead with my Muslim guest speaks for itself in terms of "witnessing."
My witnessing to non-Christians, moreover, is directly inspired by the Acts of the Apostles. It describes St. Paul's method of witnessing to the Athenians when he discovered that they had an altar to an "unknown god." Acts 17:16-34 While St. Paul brought many pagans to Christ, he nevertheless began at a level they were able to understand and relate to.
As a final thought, at the end of the day, the "results" of any witnessing done by anyone is the business of the Holy Spirit. Keeping this in mind helps me to avoid the sin of spiritual pride.

An interesting article about Maurice Strong and his role in climate alarmism in the Canada Free Press. It mentions Vaclav Klaus' new book Blue Planet in Green Shackles. I haven't read it, but it's on my list. He offered debate Al Gore on Climate Change but Gore said there is no point debating a "settled" issue.
It's a very long, multi-part article.

Susanna,
Excuse me for going on the diatribe, but today there are lots of people in the Christian world using the Quran to reach Muslims. There are many going into mosques and inviting Imams to their churches to speak and on and on. When we first heard of some of the new methods of "contextualization" we were quite shocked and disturbed. The post-911 world is getting very confused and confusing.
I actually walked out of a lecture by a "convert from Islam to Yeshua" who was teaching people to use the Quran to witness to Muslims. He told them to memorize verses of the Quran, instead of encouraging them to know their Bible better. It's one thing to try to understand someone's world view as you have done, and quite another to do what this gentleman did. You can't use a lie to prove truth. That's simply illogical.
As for eating or serving kosher, I say Amen to that. I believe unclean animals are unclean whether you are Jewish, Muslim or Christian i.e. There are physical characteristics of the animals on the "forbidden food list" that would make them dirty for anyone....even if they taste good. ( another loaded statement.....don't shoot me!) I'm one of those bizarre people that doesn't believe God cancelled Torah, so I eat biblically kosher. It's not a salvation issue, but I just think God's instructions are always good and holy so the one's I can obey, I do.
Of course we should treat human beings with dignity and respect, even if we don't agree with their belief system. I wouldn't serve someone from India beef, even though it is quite kosher, so I agree with you that we need to be thoughtful of others.
I'm afraid, I'm not much of a C.S. Lewis fan, so I haven't read the book. That's just a question of reading preferences.
Salvation is totally a work of God. We can be instruments, but the end result is not in our hands.
I am reacting a little to what I see in the world of Missions. Interestingly enough, one of the proponents of this sort of thing is a fellow by the name of Jay Gary, part of the World Future Society, which also includes New Agers. He is part of organizations that take part in the sort of activity I referred to above. There are now terms like "Messianic Muslims" who accept Yeshua, and pray towards Mecca.....that's what I call syncretism. When someone accepts Yeshua or Jesus, they should leave their former life behind because they are a new creation.
Some of the stuff coming out of schools like Fuller and the USCenter for World Missions is quite disturbing. In the name of spreading the good news about Yeshua, there are a lot of things being done that are in direct contradiction to the Scriptures in the name of "contextualization".
Personally, because of my faith and the fact that my home is a place that I take careful pains to guard spiritually and because of what I know about Islam, I would not want a Muslim praying in it, but that's a very personal thing, no more than I would want a Satanist doing animal sacrifices in my home, or a Hindu practicing yoga there. I have entertained quite a few Muslims, but I would probably draw the line there. Again, that's just me, no value judgement on what you decided to do.
All this to say, it's great to reach out to Muslims. There are too many that think Christians and Jews hate them.
The descendants of Ishmael, who was half brother of Isaac, need to be brought into the covenant through Yeshua. Here is a future promise from the Prophet Isaiah of what might happen to some of the Arabs and Persians who happen to be Muslims at the moment.
In that day Israel will be the third party with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth, whom the LORD of hosts has blessed, saying, “Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.” Is19:24-25

Susanna,
One more thing, VERY important!
Here's what you said:
"Since the Old Testament is part of the Christian canon,(Sh'ma Yis'ra'eil Adonai Eloheinu Adonai echad" proclaims, there IS but one God), I do not need the Koran in order to witness to a Muslim that we both believe in the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. "
If I'm understanding you correctly, you are saying that the Muslim's Allah is the same as the God of Israel, to which I would say, absolutely not.
Muslims do not believe that Isaac is the son of promise. They believe that it was Ishmael, even though the Qu'ran does not say this specifically. Because they believe that Ishmael is the son of promise, they cannot possible understand that Yeshua is the fulfillment of the promise to Abraham, to bless all the nations..
The former Muslims I know would never say that the god of Quran is the same God as the God of the Bible. The character of Allah is completely different than the God of the Bible. He is a capricious god who can send the most pious person to hell, and the most evil to heaven. I do know people who really know Islam and have renounced it and follow Yeshua now. They draw an important distinction between the god of Islam, Allah, and the God of the Bible, YHVH, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob i.e. the God of Israel.
This is not nit-picking. It's an important point that escapes most people today because they really don't know about Islam. I have even spoken to people who work in the US military who work with Muslims and do not understand this. Again, this is not my opinion only. It's the opinion of people who were born and raised in Islam and have been delivered from it by Yeshua.
Just wanted to clarify that.

From what I have read and understand the French Masonic lodges did have an important impact on the American Masons. The US Revolution was planned by the Masons and the Jacobins, the French Masons who had infiltrated the French lodges and inspired the French Revolution did come to US and inspire a different version of the same here. Benjamin Franklin was supposedly an important Mason who had links to both the French and British lodges.
Today the lodges in Europe are still very important. I received a request to pray for a meeting that took place at the "Tower of Babel" ( the design of the EU headquarters in Strasbourg) because all the Masonic lodges reunited last year and had a meeting titled "Construct Europe, Construct the World". Some say that they see their spiritual predecessors as going back to Nimrod.
All of these occult groups, Masons and many of the New Agers are trying to tap into the Ancient Babylonian Mystery religions, sacred geometry etc.
The grid is Washington was designed by a french architect called L'Enfant who was a friend of George Washington's. CuttingEdge website has a group of videos that are pretty informative on this subject. I know that the name of one of them is about "America's Secret Beginnings". It's well worth watching. There's another article about Biometric identification, another on the "school of the future". Their public schools were founded by a Mason, and is still headed up by a freemason. The Statue of Liberty was given to the US by a Mason, so that's a clear link.
There are quite a few good videos about Masonry on Google video if you do a search.

Joyce,
I appreciate your clarification. I probably need to be a little more clear myself.
While Muslims do not believe that Isaac is the son of the promise, they do believe that Abraham is the common ancestor in the faith of Isaac and Ishmael.
The Muslim gentleman and other Muslims of my acquaintance have PERSONALLY professed belief in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
I am not talking about what I believe. I am talking about what Muslims of my acquaintance profess to believe.
In so far as THEY profess belief in our common ancestor in the faith, Abraham, I must conclude that this God is also the God of Isaac and Jacob - regardless of any other theological errors that are contained in the Koran about their beliefs concerning the nature of God.
http://tinyurl.com/2x6pat
I am not implying that you have said this, but it is erroneous to say that Islam is absolutely false.
If Islam were absolutely false, it simply would not exist, because falsehood, like evil, is but a parasite upon what is true and good. Good can exist apart from evil, but evil cannot exist apart from good....because insofar as "evil" by its very definition is but a privation of good, "evil," by itself, is what we understand as "nothing."
On the other hand, whatever is true about any religion is but a preparation for the Gospels.
Jesus said "Love one another as I have loved you." Jesus died for us while we were yet sinners. But since our whole nature was not corrupted by the sin of Adam, Christ took what was capable of being redeemed in the human race and redeemed it.....because, as C.S. Lewis once rightly pointed out "God can draw straight with crooked lines." And we certainly were a motley crew of crooked critters when Christ entered the stage of world history.
Therefore, when witnessing to a Muslim, I try to look for what is true about his faith, meet him where he is and work with him/her from there.
But don't get me wrong, Joyce, if you have found from your own experience, that your witnessing method has proven to be an effective evangelization strategy, then by all means stick with it. If Joyce is working for Christ, then in Christ I "rejoice in Joyce." :-)
Here's one more video from the same series called "Riddles in Stone". If you want to subscribe to CuttingEdge ( it's not very expensive, maybe 25$ a year) it supports their ministry. You may not agree with everything they say, but they have some very good information and another perspective on world events.

Understanding Masonry is critical to understanding some of these NWO things. Alice Bailey talks about the lodges in her books.
Joyce
Susanna,
I don't have a lot of time right now to go into it, but Allah of the Muslims started out as one of 360 dieties on the kabbah in Mecca. This is pre-Islamic. It was depicted as the "moon-god". When Mohamed had his so-called revelation, he simply removed the other 359
deities and kept "Allah". This is the origins of the crescent moon in Islam. Yes, Muslims will acknowledge the prophets and figures of the Bible, they will even call some of them prophets that we don't consider prophets.
It is a mistake to think of Allah as Elohim or YHVH because the origins are a real mixed bag. Many people mistakenly assume that Muslims know God because they use the same names. The Elohim of the Bible has completely different characteristics than Allah. Their concept of sin is completely different than ours. Sin is "forgetfulness". If you don't start at Genesis and walk them through the whole story of the fall in the Garden, you will be starting with a false assumption that they know who God is. They simply worship a different God, just like the Jehovah Witnesses worship a different god and the Mormons worship a different god, even though they share common vocabulary.
This is a critical point. When we want to "make disciples" we start with a good foundation, which is the chief cornerstone that the builders rejected, Yeshua. Yeshua was the seed of the woman who crushed the head of the serpant in Genesis. To fully understand the redemption story we must start at the beginning and it must be accurate or we are talking about a different god. God loves the Muslims and wants to see them come to a saving knowledge of His Son. Their version of the story doesn't require blood atonement. Ours does. They have no assurance of salvation, unless they blow themselves up for the cause of jihad. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. They can keep the 5 pillars of Islam, but that doesn't assure them of paradise. The majority of Muslims do not know the Quran. They know how to do the basics like Ramadan. They don't know that one of Mohamed's wives was 8 or 9 years old.
I don't recommend debating the Qu'ran because it is a false book and has a principle of abrogation, which means that internally it contradicts itself, so you will never "win" an argument with a Muslim comparing and contrasting the Bible to the Quran. We are called to "proclaim the truth" and give our testimony.
I don't insult their Quran. I simply won't get into discussing it with them because this would give it credibility. I will tell them who we think Yeshua is and who we think YHVH is etc. etc. You also want to dispel the myth that we worship 3 gods, Jesus, Mary and God. This is what they've been told......They don't understand the "echad" of God. Shema o Yisrael, the Lord is God, the Lord is Echad.
( composite unity).
Talking to former Muslims who know Yeshua, and love Israel, these points are very important. They see themselves as being "grafted in" to the Olive tree of Israel and understand God's redemption plan visa via Israel. I know there are other opinions out there, but many of these other opinions cause a great deal of confusion, and my concern is that they will lead to the "mixing of religions" that is so prevalent today. This is why I have gone through the trouble to explain this. I know your desire is to see them saved, and so is mine, so I think we would agree on that.
Most people who witness to Muslims don't have a clear way to explain God's election of Israel and what that means to them. We can't avoid difficult subjects. We have to explain them Biblically. Unforutnately, these people will speak against Israel to "win them over". Not saying your doing that, but this is quite common.
Shalom,
Joyce
Dawn and Deannie,
With regard to C.S. Lewis....I own and have read just about every single book that C.S. Lewis has ever written, and while I respect your opinions about Mr. Lewis, we will simply have to agree to disagree about the suggestion that Mr. Lewis was a "New Ager."
http://tinyurl.com/62amum
The author of the link you posted seems sincere enough but he is hardly convincing in his argument.
As I read the article, it became obvious to me that the author was clueless with regard to Mr. Lewis' intent - which, by the way, Mr. Lewis clearly states in the preface of his book. One is led to wonder whether the author of the article has actually read MERE CHRISTIANITY himself or if he is merely parroting someone else's anti-Lewis polemic.
For example, the following statement in the article is blatantly false:
"Mere Christianity is focused upon who or what a Christian is. This idea is based on the premise, or, more correctly put, supposition of what a Christian is according to C. S. Lewis. His arguments are also based on another premise, or false assumption, that anyone, of any faith willing to be called Christian, is a Christian."
http://tinyurl.com/7zyns
Here is what Mr. Lewis said in the introduction to his book, MERE CHRISTIANITY:
"The reader should be warned that I offer no help to anyone who is hesitating between two Christian "denominations." You will not learn from me whether you ought to become an Anglican, a Methodist, a Presbyterian, or a Roman Catholic. This omission is intentional (even in the list I have just given the order is alphabetical). There is no mystery about my own position. I am a very ordinary layman of the Church of England, not especially "high," not especially "low," nor especially anything else. But in this book I am not trying to convert anyone to my own position. Ever since I became a Christian I have thought that the best, perhaps the only, service I could do for my unbelieving neighbors was to explain and defend the belief that has been common to nearly all Christians at all times. I had more than one reason for thinking this. In the first place, the questions that divide Christians from one another often involve points of high Theology or even of ecclesiastical history which ought never to be treated except by real experts. I should have been out of my depth in such waters: more in need of help myself than able to help others. And secondly, I think we must admit that the discussion of these disputed points has no tendency at all to bring an outsider into the Christian fold.
So long as we write and talk about them we are much more likely to deter him from entering ANY Christian communion than to draw him into our own. Our divisions should never be discussed except in the presence of those who have already come to believe that there is one God and that Jesus Christ is His only Son. Finally, I got the impression that far more, and more talented, authors were already engaged in such controversial matters than in the defense of what Baxter calls "mere" Christianity. That part of the line where I thought I could serve best was also the part that seemed to be thinnest. And to it I naturally went.
So far as I know, these were my only motives, and I should be very glad if people would not draw fanciful inferences from my silence on certain disputed matters."

I am in total agreement with you, not only about wanting to see the followers of Islam saved, but also about avoiding any kind of false "mixing of religions."
Given the fact that one of my biggest complaints against the New Age Movement is "syncretism," I would be the last one to want to promote a false religious "unity" of any kind.
Just for the sake of our discussion and not to be argumentative, I would like to point out that one of the things that I have discovered is that the name "Allah" is used to refer to God in Arab-speaking countries by Muslims, Christians and Jews.
How is that to be addressed in terms of evangelisation -especially in Arab-speaking countries?
I would honestly like to know what you think.
Here is one reference.
Columbia Encyclopedia
Allahăl'ə, ä'lə, [Arab.,=the God]. Derived from an old Semitic root refering to the Divine and used in the Canaanite El, the Mesopotamian ilu, and the biblical Elohim, the word Allah is used by all Arabic-speaking Muslims, Christians, Jews, and others. Allah, as a deity, was probably known in pre-Islamic Arabia. Arabic chronicles suggest a pre-Islamic recognition of Allah as a supreme God, with the three goddesses al-Lat, al-Uzza, and Manat as his daughters. The Prophet Muhammad, declaring Allah the God of Abraham, demanded a return to a strict monotheism. Islam supplements Allah as the name of God with the 99 most beautiful names (asma Allah al-husna), understood as nondescriptive mnemonic guides to the Divine attributes.

"There are several issues with the messages above, but one dangerous lie in particular permeates the New Spirituality faith of this Emerging One Church. When religions are grouped together as equals, this automatically groups the gods of those religions as equals. Consequently, the inclusion of Christianity automatically reduces the only true and living God to nothing more than an equal of the false gods of the world.
In fact, this is the meaning behind the lie falsely claiming to be a “Christian” message: “The Lord is one, but He is called by a thousand names.” This statement actually stems from the false belief that all the gods in all the religions are only different names for one God, so people in all religions pray to and worship “the same God.”

This is written by Tamara Hartzell, as part of the "Are you being "Led away with the error of the wicked" to the New Age Ark of Oneness.
I have downloaded and printed the book in its entirety--many highlighter marks throughout. Anyone interested should be able to find the link to the .pdf document from the link I've posted here. (Sorry, I'm pressed for time right now, have to go out right away.)
I would also HIGHLY recommend the book "America Alone:The End of the World as We Know It" by Mark Steyn.
It's about...the Islamification of Europe and the U.K. inroads this is making into North America.
The first part of my quote on the previous comment...I just noticed the phrase there. "There are several issues with the messages above". This was a QUOTE from another page and the author was talking about the material on HER page. It wasn't in reference to Joyce's post on THIS page. Hope that's clear! ;-)
G.K. Chesterton did a deeper analysis of issues that C.S. Lewis attempted to bring to the masses.
Interestingly, Elisabeth Elliot also writes on many of the same themes.
I find Lewis' predecessor G.K. Chesterton and his American friend Elisabeth Elliot more clear, though paradoxically more difficult to understand.
All three emphasize the importance of Godly masculinity and femininity, which the new age is successfully destroying.
Susanna,
Yes, isn't Satan brilliant? He has so woven the Arabic language and the culture together it would appear that the general term for god is Allah, but Dr. Robert Morley does a good job explaining this. I looked from online resources and I'm not sure this one will help, because I am rushing to travel, but I did want to send you something:

If I recall, the title of his book is "The Islamic Invasion" but I think he has written more than one. I read him years ago. I think there is a strong case for tying Islam into baal worship, especially when you see all the minarets on the "high places" in the Land of Israel. It's very interesting.
I don't think you are interested in syncretism. I am just very sensitive about this subject because there is actually so much going on the Evangelical world at this time that is help to usher in babel, along with what is going on in the New Age movement. Post 9/11 world everyone is bending over backwards to be politically correct. The problem is in doing so, they are not telling the truth. Again, I'm not accusing you of this.
Another word for god in Arabic that would be less confusing is rabi ( Lord)...not sure if I'm spelling that right. Allah is used by Christians, but most would make a clear distinction between the "Allah" in the Arabic Bible and the "Allah" of Quran.
The dialectic that has been created is, is Islam a religion of peace and we just have a few bad apples, or is Islam a bad religion?
I would chose the latter and say, thank God that most Muslims don't really follow true Islam. We'd be in trouble. This post 911 world where the "Clash of Civilizations" has been presented as one thesis opens the door for the solution i.e. the Alliance of Civilizations.. The Christian Churches are unwittingly being suckered into this. Case and point is the document signed by many heads of seminary and denominations and some rabbis "A Common Word". This document was sponsored by the Jordanian Royal Family who are knee deep in Club of Rome and Alliance of Civilizations.
If I am bringing up this subject, it's because I believe it is an important one for those of us who are aware to be focused on and very discerning about. Muslims need to know the true God of the Bible and my personal conviction is by building relationships with them as human beings and showing love, and sharing our faith we can plant seeds, then the results are in God's hands. Many will reject the Yeshua and that's just how it is, but I know many who have accepted Him and are changed people.
Blessings,
Joyce

Your question about Project Mockingbird intrigued me, so I decided to run a search on it.
For others here who might not know what "Project Mockingbird" was, from 12 March, 1963 and 15 June 1963 there was a surveillance operation involving the CIA and going by the name "Project Mockingbird" which consisted of a "telephone intercept" activity and targeted two Washington-based newsmen, who, at the time, had been publishing news articles based on, and frequently quoting, classified materials of this agency and others (i.e. CIA, etc.) including Top Secret and Special Intelligince."
http://tinyurl.com/5rk37u
The classified materials included information on the handling of a former Soviet Union defector named
Yuriy Ivanovich Nosenko.
According to the same article;
The CIA "conducted the activity in coordination with the Attorney General (Mr. Robert Kennedy), the secretery of Defense (Mr. Robert McNamara), and the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (Gen. Joseph Carroll.".....read more....

http://tinyurl.com/3su69g
At the bottom, under "References" look for the link (#5) to "FAMILY JEWELS," the CIA document acquired under the Freedom of Information Act.
In terms of telephone intercepts I have considered the possibility that "the war on terror" is being used as a pretext by certain elements within our government to revive "Mockingbird." Similar to the way in which the Reichstag Fire of February 27, 1933 was used by the Nazis as a pretext for promoting the infamous "Enabling Act" that "legally" gave Hitler "plenary powers."
This is just my own way of doing things, but in terms of how Project Mockingbird might effect our discernment about what comes out in the media, I make every effort not to rely exclusively on one or two news sources to get the straight scoop about what is really going on.
I hope you find this information helpful. Have a good read. :-)

Wherever you are going, have a safe trip.
God Bless You
Mark Steyn's article, "The Future Belongs to Islam", which is an excerpt from his book that I mentioned in a previous post. This is also the article that got the Canadian Human Rights Commission harrassing McLean's Magazine.

I am also a great admirer of G.K. Chesterton and have read many of his works along with those of C.S. Lewis.
Two of my favorites are EVERLASTING MAN and ORTHODOXY.
Here are some of Chesterton's works that can be read free online. There do not appear to be any international copyright restrictions on this particular website.

I will have to check out the writings of Elisabeth Elliot.
Thanks Susanna!

One more thing Susanna..I never read that online book that I sent you, nor do I know who the author is. From a quick glance, it looks like the author holds the same view on the the ultimate restoration of the two houses of Israel which I've written about on this blog....that's purely coincidental, (with God there are no coincidences so maybe it's really not). I just did a search with Robert Morley's name and that's what I found. Joyce
LFK and Susanna,
I appreciate what Chesterton and Lewis are trying to do in the books you cite. My concern was over the Chronicles of Narnia. While reading the series to our older, elementary-aged children, they repeatedly asked me if I was sure the author was a Christian. Their reasons for asking were that there were many occultic type characters (wiches, Baachus, unicorns, etc), spells (in the book of magic in Dawn Treader) and such. They were very uncomfortable listening to it. I proabably won't do it with our younger children.

Lynn thanks for the link: MARK STEYN, The future belongs to Islam.
I’ll give a salient quote so as to hopefully interest others.
We are witnessing the end of the late 20th- century progressive welfare democracy. Its fiscal bankruptcy is merely a symptom of a more fundamental bankruptcy: its insufficiency as an animating principle for society. The children and grandchildren of those fascists and republicans who waged a bitter civil war for the future of Spain now shrug when a bunch of foreigners blow up their capital. Too sedated even to sue for terms, they capitulate instantly. Over on the other side of the equation, the modern multicultural state is too watery a concept to bind huge numbers of immigrants to the land of their nominal citizenship. So they look elsewhere and find the jihad. The Western Muslim's pan-Islamic identity is merely the first great cause in a world where globalized pathologies are taking the place of old-school nationalism.
Some time ago, more than once, I pointed out that those who might be playing this card of one religion against another, better be careful that they aren’t burned by their own fire.
After 9/11 I read a commentary which advocated the destruction of Islam; their 9/11 type boldness can mean nasty things when the materialists get fed-up.
Wow,this is amazing. Heinrich Eliyahu Benedikt of the Jerusalem Academy has taken part in the 3rd Annual Dialogue between the Civilizations in the Mediterranean. Unfortunately, this is in French, but I will try to find an English version of this. I might not have time, so if any of you Googlers want to help, feel free:

You can read the very impressive list of invitees to this meeting, even if you don't understand every word.
I think this is significant when we think about Sarkozy taking over EU presidency in a few days and promoting his Mediterranean Union, not to mention his trip to Israel this week. Let's all keep a close eye on this.

Susanna,
Curious about what you said here:
"falsehood, like evil, is but a parasite upon what is true and good. Good can exist apart from evil, but evil cannot exist apart from good....because insofar as "evil" by its very definition is but a privation of good, "evil," by itself, is what we understand as "nothing.""
This way of putting it rang a bell of familiarity with me and I don't yet know why.
Where is this from, or where did you hear it or read it?
Sarkovy has definitely raised my eyebrows in the past few weeks. The French take over of the EU on July 1st may prove to be even more interesting with Sarkovy's recent statements and political moves.
Interesting -

Constance,
I bought and read Janet Folger's book, "The Criminalization of Christianity" on your recommendation. It was interesting and frightening. After reading it, I more greatly appreciate your efforts to keep speech uncensored on your site.

Deannie,
I think that it is very wise of you to exercise prudence with regard to the movies that you allow your children to view and the books you allow them to read.
If only more parents were as prudent...
If children are too young to understand that stories like NARNIA are just make believe, or if children are uncomfortable listening to the NARNIA stories or viewing the film, then I agree that it is better that NARNIA be avoided all together.
It is not as if the CHRONICLES OF NARNIA were on an equal footing with the BIBLE, right? :-)
DougMi,
Sarko is of great interest and I don't think it's accidental that this conference is happening in France a couple of days before he takes over. His statements to the Israelis about giving up Judea and Samaria and splitting Jerusalem have been disturbing, and he's having the leaders come to France for talks.
One of the topics in Monaco will be the Lisbon Treaty, by the way, and there will be reps from Ireland in attendance. Take a careful look at all the programming.
Shalom,
Joyce

Lynn,
The concept of evil being a "parasite upon the good" and/or the "privation of a good which ought to be present" is from St. Augustine's ENCHIRIDION.
Lynn,
The quote you referred to sounds a lot like
Christian Science / Mary Baker Eddy to me.
Lynn,
Here is the free online copy of St. Augustine's ENCHIRIDION. Check out Chapters eleven through fourteen.

Susanna,
It is my opinion that "Project Mockingbird" has never been stopped. Using more than one source, IMO, is not doing due dilligence since many sources are owned by the same master and all the masters eat from the same trough.
I love this blog Constance and I find it real and true, but I have been getting more and more skeptical of everything I read in the media (don't know why). That is why I wonder when all the post-ers get things from media sources. My belief is that the shadows who pull the strings are not going to "slip up" on accident and then let their true intentions come out in the media. If you think this, I think you're kidding yourself. Ex: Rupport Murdock's pastor is Rick Warren who is one of the leaders of the protestant ecumenical movement, not to mention emergent movement.
No, I think things come out in the media and are leaked by government officials, CIA, FBI, DHS, etc. and we do not see the links. Those who do search and find only see some of the strands of a bigger spider web and are never able to piece enough of those strands to see the entire web, and therefore are left scratching their heads knowing there is more, but can't find it. That is where the shadows laugh at those who know there's a conspiracy and laugh harder at those who laugh at conspiracy theorists- because they know there is a conspiracy, but also know there are too many missing pieces. THEY HOLD THE MISSING PIECES.
On C.S. Lewis: Mere Chrisitianity was one of the books that lead me to Christ Jesus. Either Jesus is who he says he is or he's a liar and a crazy man who should not be trusted and is equal to a poached egg. I don't have bib. for that, but know it's there (that's when I started doing academic analysis on Jesus' life and found out the bible is infallible and true). Do I think he's New age? No, I think he is only a man. I think people slip all over themselves to find one sentence, one audio, one example of a man who is fallible and write them off to the extreme. I am guilty of this as well. I enjoyed Da Vinci Code (book more than the movie), but knew it was a novel found in the non-fiction section. Those who took it too seriously and questioned their own faith are not thinking right. We wasted 4 Sundays at church so the pastor could explain its errors to "believers" who don't read the bible, and believe anything that is fed to them, like sheep to the slaughter. In fact, I almost think the pastor had to convince himself first!
Men of God like pastors say things and mess up and those who are well known do it as well (even Peter), but they are only men. When every word, phrase, writing that comes out of the man is perfect, I'll know that I am listening to my Savior. When it's not perfect I need to remind myself that it is man and then I go to my bible and find Truth.
Best to all

I agree with most of what you said. I don't think that Project Mockingbird has ever been stopped either.
I think this blog is great too. The whole point of many blogs is to critically analyze and discuss the news that is reported from a particular point of view. If there is any evidence to show that a news report is bogus then the blogosphere is most likely the place where such evidence is to be found by ordinary folks like us.
Ironically, Rush Limbaugh was talking just this afternoon about the Drive-By Media and the Associated Press. Here is a portion of the transcript:
"BEGIN TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: This next story, and, by the way, it's from the Associated Press. Yes, my friends, the Associated Press, the last remaining Drive-By Media monopoly and the headline: "Strained States to Make Cuts Felt by Everyone." This is another story of widespread gloom, widespread pain. It is by Andrew Welsh Huggins, I'm sure a doctorate in Drive-By Media-ism, working for the Associated Press, which is out to pollute as many innocent Americans' minds as possible. "With a new fiscal year beginning in most states next week, budget cuts are about to bite." State budget cuts. Yes, that first sentence is supposed to send us to the corners, cowering in fear and quivering in panic. Oh, no! Our states face budget cuts, oh, no! "That means less money for school children in Florida." They've already got more than they need, and it isn't working. So what! "It means the end of help with utility bills for poor Rhode Islanders--" Poor Rhode Islanders? Ever been to Newport? Ever been to Providence? "--and a good chance tuition will increase at Auburn University in Alabama.

As for those who laugh at others whom they assume are not "in the know" about the "MISSING PIECES" to the global conspiratorial puzzle, we are told in the Bible that God will have the last laugh when "all will be revealed in due time."
LOL. These days, I think a lot of pastors don't even bother trying to convince themselves before attempting to explain things to their congregations. They make up their own "doctrinal verities" as they go along and collectively embody an entity that has already been dubbed "McChurch."
Hi K,
Thank you for your kind words. and may the peace of the Lord be with you and your loved ones as well.

susanna said "It is not as if the CHRONICLES OF NARNIA were on an equal footing with the BIBLE, right? :-)"
You are correct. Just to let you know many Churches (at least where I am) are using Chronicles for VBS and other ministries inside the church.
Besides what I mentioned earlier, my other problem is the use of wizardry and such in the books.
I appreciate your comments and I will definitely be looking into it further.

Joyce,
Thank you for posting the link to "Riddles in Stone"
I have always wanted to watch that. It sure unlocks many of the mysteries. What I am wondering is if Bush, Obama or McCain are of the Ancient order or the Modern order.
It is amazing how well things are concealed and yet so obvious.

I would assume that VBS stands for "Vacation Bible Study," right?
While I myself am a fan of Chronicles, I don't think that leaders of VBS and other Church ministries - especially those involving young children - should be using Chronicles for the very reasons you state. Especially if young children are at risk of becoming confused by such exposure.
The decision as to whether or not Chronicles should be read or viewed by children should exclusively the parents' decision.
The problem with the inclusion of Chronicles in VBS et al - and I am just speculating here - is the likelihood that many parents who don't want their children exposed to Chronicles may feel that they are being put "on the spot" by VBS leaders who do not like to be criticized.
Some of them may need to be reminded that the right to educate children in ANYTHING belongs first and foremost to the parents.
To all,
Here is an interesting article from the London Daily Mail about one British tycoon's continuing personal crusade for a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty:
___________________________
"Tycoon loses personal High Court crusade for a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty
By Daily Mail Reporter
Last updated at 11:33 AM on 25th June 2008
Eurosceptic millionaire Stuart Wheeler said today he had "high hopes" of winning on appeal after the High Court rejected his bid to force the Government to hold a referendum on the EU's Lisbon Treaty.
Two judges rejected his claim that he was being unlawfully denied a vote in breach of his "legitimate expectation" that there would be a public ballot.
The spreadbetting tycoon's lawyers argued that the expectation arose after Government ministers promised a referendum on the failed EU constitution which the treaty replaces." ....read more....

Here's the kicker:
"He accused Mr Wheeler of acting for the "inappropriate purpose" of seeking to change the political atmosphere by obtaining a court judgment critical of Government decisions "for use as a political manifesto".
___________________________
While I am not in favor of courts "legislating from the bench," I must say that in this particular instance, if it is OK for a pro-EU political elite to usurp the will of the people, then it should be equally OK for Mr. Wheeler to call upon whatever courts he needs to call upon to override the will of the pro-EU elite.

Reminds me of what Our Lord said about "whitewashed tombs."
Holy Mary, mother of God ... lactivist icon?
It's not every day that the Vatican admonishes worshipers to stop being such a bunch of prudes, but that's apparently what happened earlier this week in the pages of L'Osservatore Romano, the official newspaper of the Holy See, according to the Telegraph.
Not one but two articles in the Vatican's official organ called on the devout to be more accepting of images of Mary breast-feeding the baby Jesus. Apparently, many paintings depicting the Madonna's bare breasts have been "censored by the modern age" because they have been considered "unseemly." But divinity scholars argue that these images of mother and breast-feeding child have important religious significance.

I left a new post today, btw.

Constance, are you having trouble when you go to publish your blog? My html code is all messed up anymore whenever I try to publish and I need to do the hokey pokey and turn myself about in order to post.
Just wondered.
