Zero Evangelical Discernment - Does Hagee Know of Gingrich's New Age agenda?

A contributor just posted a disturbing link to a forthcoming event at Pastor John Hagee's San Antonio, Texas Church.  It urges all to come hear "special guest" Newt Gingrich.  Just what will Newt be talking about?  The sanctity of marriage?  Little chance!  The sanctity of Mother Earth?  FAR GREATER CHANCE!  His New Age affiliations with Al Gore, Denis Hayes, Earth Day?  Most likely, those will be downplayed!

I respectfully commend to Pastor Hagee who is influential over many who want to be on the right side of God in these critical times, the passages of Revelation 14 and then contemplate deeply on the concept of "A CONTRACT WITH THE EARTH":

6And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
8And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
9And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
12Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

The New Agers were counting on the various Evangelical communities to put their "paradigm shift" agenda over the top.  Jeremy Rifkin made this abundantly clear in his THE EMERGING ORDER book which also received undeserved Evangelical praise.  Eventually they will succeed for a time. (Daniel 7)

Let's strive not to assist them in this obviously diabolical effort!

Stay tuned!

You can't talk sense to these people even when you stick the evidence right in their faces. My late charismatic mother-in-law was a willing dupe until the end. She bought all the smoke and mirrors in her charismatic so-called church and she bought the lies of Jim Bakker and Tammy Fay and sent them money for their hotel/amusement park. She sent Pat the Rat money for decades, even after evidence of his chicanery came out. The list is long of the charlatans she supported so you just can't get through to these people.

I know you, Constance, and many readers here put a LOT of emphasis on NATO and Europe as the center of attention for possible rising powers-to-be in the near future.

In my opinion, this is not where the next "power projection" will come from. It is what will be left after the next period of chaos, which will include the next world war, and then and only then will Europe be able to project any power on a "world stage" sphere of influence. (If indeed Europe is the place where the seat of the Antichrist will be. I'm still not fully convinced of that.)

Currently, it is a joke to suggest that either Europe or NATO have any real influence at all in world affairs. NATO is disintegrating before our very eyes with the way things are being handled regarding Libya.

Why is this? Russia. And perhaps China. The "beasts from the East" are in the process of a major power projection (one that has been planned for a long time now) and are about to turn up the heat. They still project power and influence mostly by proxy, through various Islamic states and terrorist organizations, and through large sums of money gotten through Russian mafia, sales of expensive weapons, etc. But at some point, they will play their big cards, and the next world war will have begun.

Soviet defector Anatoliy Golitsyn warned of the collapse of NATO. A long-standing objective of the Kremlin was to divide NATO, penetrate it, or otherwise make it ineffective. That they have succeeded in doing this is obvious to anyone who cares to study the matter.

More and more, Germany and France are siding strategically with Russia and the East. It is only a matter of time before the Europe that was our ally in fighting against tyranny (most recently against the Soviet Union) will be only a memory.

From the ashes of the next world war will come what everyone here is worried about - the One World government / One World religion, in a time that will be touted to "end all wars".

We will be out of the picture, and probably Russia too. Who knows who will be left. I don't think we will be much of a country at that point - perhaps "3rd world" status by then.

  14. Marko,

I respect your research and brilliant materials you have given me, but I respectfully disagree with you here. I think what is happening is what JS spoke of in the 1990s: "THE PLAN IS TO USE NATO ASSETS WITH EUROPEAN CONTROL OF THOSE ASSETS." As far as China, etc., I remind you of the prophecy of the Euphrates River being dried up thus preparing the way for the kings of the East to come and fight Armageddon. The Scriptures speak of a 200 million man army fighting in that last earthly battle. Only China could foreseeably man an army of that sight with present populations.

Time and events will tell. Your guess is probably as good as mine.

I do value your research and opinions. It is your conclusion I draw on here. NATO is far from weakened. It saw its greatest expansion under Javier Solana between 1996 and 1999.

  15. John Hagee teaches Word of Faith and has featured many WoF teachers at his church. He is also sympathetic to hyper-charismaticism having recently featured a music artist in that vein (name escapes me at the moment) as but one example.

Hagee's theology is a mass of confusion only eclipsed by his zeal in presenting it.

I do believe he may well be just ignorant of Gingrich's background; and, in his zeal to be sure we don't have another democrat in the White House, he's espousing who he feels may be the best republican candidate currently.

  16. Dear Watchman on the Wall:

I've watched Newt Gingrich too long and too closely to buy the "repentance story". I've heard of no repentance by him, only repeated shenanigans. Moreover, his book CONTRACT WITH THE EARTH speaks for itself. He was rated by Mark Satin in his former NEW OPTIONS newsletter (1985 as I recall the date) as having the best New Age voting recording in Congress, tied as I recall it with Marci Kapteyn of Toledo, Ohio for that dubious honor.

Sorry for all the duplicate postings.

As most of you know, Google and Blogspot have been wonky lately. Disappearing and reappearing posts... ugh.

I thank you too, Constance, for the lifetime of research you have devoted yourself to. Very people I am aware of have sacrificed more to discover the truth. Jeff Nyquist is probably the only other that comes to mind that I know of through their work.

I guess what I'm saying, Constance, is that I just see a different sequence of events playing out from the standard view that most people present. And by standard view, I don't mean the standard view of the Left Behind heresy, but the standard view of yourself and Herb Peters and the rest who see everything revolving around a revived Roman Empire with its seat of power in Europe.

In no way do I want to minimize the efforts of you, Herb Peters, or anyone else examining what's going on in Europe. I just can't see anything really *powerful* coming from that area of the world UNTIL other power centers are eliminated. And that would take a world war.

The expansion you saw in the late 90s was over 10 years ago now, and that expansion was on paper only, for the most part, and consisted mostly of a bunch of tough talk from someone who *on paper* and in his own mind has a lot of power. But has he really influenced world events to a substantial degree? He's got his hands in lots of things, but, really, what has he changed that is noteworthy?

Real power, in this age, comes from the barrel of a gun, to quote Mao (I think it was Mao). Nothing about that has changed since the days of the first Empires. The Empires from the East have us "outgunned" in several respects, and have several strategic advantages that the West does not have, and Europe especially is lacking in what it would take to "rule the world".

To be completely blunt, if Russia started to invade Europe tomorrow, they would collectively wet themselves in fear. How would they repel such an invasion? Answer: Without our help, they couldn't. That's why we must be taken out first. That's why we *will* be taken out first.

So yes, we respectfully disagree on the sequence. But I think we agree on the most important matters: The approaching New Age is evil and will be the foundation of the final effort of Satan to deceive the world and turn it against God; Love God first and only, cling to Him only, and learn to follow His lead only, and it will go well with thee! :^)

  22. I've just remembered something which happened to me about 23 years ago when I was working in London with Youth With A Mission.
I had the Monday off and was sitting in Regents Park, having a picnic lunch and reading.

Suddenly, this man walked up to me, and straight off, asked me, in a friendly manner, if I would be interested in going to an Internationalist meeting. Back then I had no idea what an Internationalist was.
We got into conversation for a bit, and then I told him that I was a Christian and loved Jesus. His face changed, he got up straight away, and took off across the grass without even saying goodbye. I never saw him again. I have no idea who he was and back then I was too naive to think of questioning him further.

Looking back now, I understand both what he was and why he reacted to what I said.

    Interesting.

CAN THE NEW RICH BUY RESPECT? ONE UKRAINIAN OLIGARCH IS TRYING

KIEV, Ukraine — There comes a time in the life of an oligarch when spending money becomes more important than making it. And for Victor Pinchuk, the controversial oligarch and Ukraine’s second-richest man after Rinat Akhmetov, that time is now.

At his invitation, Paul McCartney recently performed before 350,000 exultant Ukrainians in Independence Square in Kiev during a thundering rainstorm. “This is for Ukrainya,” Mr. Pinchuk yelled after the performance in June.

It may have been, but the concert, which cost Mr. Pinchuk more than $5 million, was also the latest, most lavish stage for his own uneven metamorphosis from grasping, post-Soviet oligarch to international mover and shaker. Now, he calls the likes of the financier George Soros and former President Bill Clinton friends....

To sustain his quixotic dream of securing Ukraine’s entry into the European Union, he has financed programs in Washington at the Brookings Institution and the Peterson Institute. And he lured George H. W. Bush, Mr. Clinton, Karl Rove and Tony Blair to give speeches in Yalta to support the cause.

None of this comes cheap. Such pursuits, along with his art purchases, have cost Mr. Pinchuk about $200 million over the last four years out of a fortune estimated at $5 billion to $10 billion

    Watchman,
I'll second what Constance said about Gingrich being a New Ager. It's not his marriage record that makes him a New Ager. It is the political actions he took in the past. I first heard of him when he was part of the Futurist movement back in the '70s. His New Age connections go that far back. When he was in Congress, he was important in leftist congressional groups, but the media never reported on that. Did you ever hear of the New Age promoting Congressional Clearinghouse on the Future that he headed for example.

Here is a nice summary of Gingrich's history.

    Lucis Trust is promoting the
    MANTRAM OF UNIFICATION.
The sons of men are one and I am one with them.
    I seek to love, not hate;
    I seek to serve and not exact due service;
I seek to heal, not hurt.
Let pain bring due reward of light and love.
Let the soul control the outer form,
    and life, and all events,
and bring to light the Love
That underlies the happenings of the time.
    Let vision come and insight.
    Let the future stand revealed.
Let inner union demonstrate and outer cleavages be gone.
    Let love prevail.
    Let all men love.

    Their comment:
The mantram of Unification declares two realities. First, that the user is one with all humanity and second, that humanity as a whole responds to the divine Plan. Five aspects of the Plan are dealt with:
    1. The reward of human suffering
2.The control of human life by the soul.
    3. Precipitation of the vision, revealing the future.
    4. The demonstration of the inner unity of all humanity.
    5. Humanity dominated by love.

Here we have a marvelous summation of the divine Plan. To whatever extent we, as individuals, understand it and live by it, we aid the whole of humanity. It brings meaning and purpose to our lives. (end of Lucis Trust comment).

My comment: Sounds to me like they are still promoting the line that anything that causes separation is evil. Better think alike and call it love in their future.

By the way, wasn't Don Bell's book centered on Love.

You write: Real power, in this age, comes from the barrel of a gun, to quote Mao (I think it was Mao). Nothing about that has changed since the days of the first Empires. The Empires from the East have us "outgunned" in several respects, and have several strategic advantages that the West does not have, and Europe especially is lacking in what it would take to "rule the world".

How would you square this with the Daniel prophecy "he shall come in peaceably with the aid of a few and obtain the kingdom by flatteries."

The EU has PLENTY of guns. Javier Solana did the counts long ago. JS now co-heads the SDA (Strategic Defence Agenda) which is the military-industrial complex of Europe with some Madeline Albright participation.

I would love to see you take a look at that alliance and also look at the Statewatch reports and then hear what you think.

    Thanks,

    Constance

  37. For the record, I did not find Walter Martin to always be an honest person. The word on the New Age Movement went out despite his active opposition. He and Gretchen Passentino and their buddy Chet Lackley did much to harm in the incubator days of getting this out. Jackie Alnor and I have had our differences in the past as well.

  41. I'm sorry, but I'm even seeing some hypocrisy there. What Walter Martin is describing is EXACTLY the persecution he spearheaded against me for bringing out the facts about the New Age Movement, the existence of which he vehemently denied. His last book was THE NEW AGE CULT. I recognized much of my work in it. In the book he made the audacious statement that he was the first person to bring out the occultic nature of Peoples Temple/Jim Jones. That was one aspect of my book, HIDDEN DANGERS for which Walter Martin gave me the most ridicule and persecution. I was in the State of Washington speaking the weekend before he died. I saw his book THE NEW AGE CULT in a Bellingham, Washington Christian book store. I picked it up with interest and then could not help but recognize much from my own work == the same work he had denigrated and denied for the past seven years. The book store owner recognized it too and urged me to write Bethany Fellowship and complain. While i was waiting for my return flight at the Seattle airport, I was called by Marie Fisher who told me Walter Martin had died. As I do not believe in kicking corpses I held my piece. The corpse in effect continued to kick me. I finally did a newsletter, MY LUNCHEON WITH WALTER MARTIN.

  43. Walter Martin's friend that he speaks of on here, JOHN WARWICK MONTGOMERY, gave me the "Legal Loon of the Month" award 2 months running on his radio program. Johanna Michaelsen, a friend through this ordeal, sent me the tapes. My quip: "if I get it one more time, do I get to keep the trophy." Walter Martin had two programs with the Passentino's attacking me for claiming the existence of a New Age Movement. He said "I am mailing these tapes to Constance Cumbey and will invite her on two weeks from now for her response." He sent no tapes. Then two weeks later, he said, well folks, Constance Cumbey refused to come on the program.

Lies! All! Johanna Michaelsen sent me both of those tapes as well. I contemplated calling in and saying, "this is your lucky day, here I am." Folks advised me as he had a 2 minute delay mechanism, it would not work. Bob Larson did the same thing to me.

I did not understand much of what I was going through until I discovered the Paul N. Temple connection. BIG MONEY was protecting New Age infiltration of the Church.

One of the oldest tricks out there is to set up "experts" to define the perimeters of the problem. Then when anybody dares to step beyond the predefined perimeters then have the "experts" attack them.

I received such attacks and Walter Martin was spearheading many of them along with Spiritual Counterfeits Project.

Despite Gretchen Passentino's and CRI's protestations to the contrary, they (EMNR - Evangelical Ministries to New Religions -- their overall coalition name in 1985) did hire security guards to see that I was barred from the Denver disinformation conference they held, "the first evangelical conference to fight the New Age Movement" from March 14-15, 1985. As the irascible J. Gordon Melton pointed out in his NEW AGE MOVEMENT HANDBOOK, the real purpose of that was to fight Yours Truly. I didn't try going. I learned about the security guards in advance. Mark Roggeman, a Denver policeman, was hired for this and he personally told me that immediately after his hiring he was summoned into J. Gordon Lewis' office at the Denver Seminary and told his first, foremost and primary duty was to "escort Constance Cumbey off the premises should she show up."

I have taken far more over the years than most of you have ever known. Dorothy has urged me to write a book about it. I have hesitated because of Jesus' injunction about the Wheat and Tares growing together until the harvest.

Maybe I should write that book!

Do you know Barbara Aho? Have not had time to read much of her pieces (just found her site minutes ago while searching for your Wally Martin Lunch Date article), but looks like she's got TONS of stuff, much of it relevant to the Walter Martin/EMNR/CRI smokescreen for New Age, as well as shady behind-the-scenes goings-on in Discernmentland generally: Watch Unto Prayer (Notice the subsection for "New Age Ties of the Discernment & Apologetics Ministries" under the ONE WORLD RELIGION heading.) Assuming you're familiar with Barbara Aho, is she solid? I recognize her name, but can't place her.

  46. Constance,

I wish I were "there" so to speak from the beginning; however, I've only been in the faith a bit over 10 years. There's NO WAY I can catch up, unfortunately.

Did you see my comments in the comments section of the post regarding Walter's reference to Hagin and Copeland as "brothers in Christ":

I need to state that I take exception to the late Walter Martin’s quite charitable affirmation that Hagin and Copeland are “brothers in Christ” who “love the Lord” [video 3 @ 8:30]. Given Hagin’s and Copeland’s stated heresy with its blasphemous depiction of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and its associated inherent denial of the Atonement which thereby places these individuals clearly outside of Christian orthodoxy, I would have a difficult time embracing them as brothers in Christ.

I just could not understand how Martin could quote such blasphemous heresy and then answer in the affirmative all Doug Clark's questions regarding Hagin's and Copeland's status as being in the faith.

"Doctrinal error"?! To so malign the person of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior as they did is, by my estimation, the very definition of antichrist as per the Apostle John [1 John 2:22] as it separates Christ from Jesus and thus "denies Jesus is the Christ."

Was this the Hegelian dialectic at work?

I have deeply respected much of Barb Aho and Vicki Dillen's respective work. In my opinion, Barbara Aho, for whatever reason has been off on some extremely anti-Semitic tangents lately that have deviated into a form of occultism in and of itself. I don't know what is behind it. I think it unfortunate. It was her diligent work available on line that helped me piece together what I hadn't known about Gold Lake, Paul N. She also said things that needed to be said about the Anthony L. Buzzard infiltration of the Discernment Ministries.

Paul: Never tolerated Melissa long enough to be able to point to specific doctrines; however, from what I've seen (my dad and other regular viewers bear this out) she simply regurgitates Dr. Scott's old lectures, following his outlines/formulae exactly. She claims to speak, read and write roughly 30 bajillion languages but there is no proof of this, and I've seen it asserted by students of the biblical languages that her handling of (read: fumbling with) Greek, Hebrew and Latin leaves much to be desired.

There's too much "dirt" to recount here, much of it unconfirmed and/or unverifiable despite my hunch it is all, or mostly all, true. She is a former porn star, nude model/pageant contestant and, with her ex-husband, a producer and purveyor of pornography (they co-owned and operated a successful smut production/distribution company before their divorce). You should Google her and read all you can; but be advised that her reportedly ferocious legal gestapo have litigiously scrubbed the internet clean of the vast majority of negativity surrounding her and, most importantly, the damning evidence that proves it.

It's been a couple of years or more since I last peered into her murky past - made murkier by all the censorship and subterfuge Dr. Scott's millions can buy - but it is my opinion that the rumors, disturbing as they are, are probably the tip of the iceberg. Happy searching, and good luck.

To Aztexan the Critic: Are you a Christian? If so, then you believe in Redemption, right? Melissa Scott, as she has stated, was saved out of a garbage heap. Her murky past, as you call it, is central to her Testimony. What's in YOUR murky past? As for her handling of Greek, Hebrew, and the other ancient languages that Dr. Scott taught her- why don't YOU try learning these languages yourself and see how YOU handle it! And try doing it in front of thousands of people. You need to repent of your Stone_Throwing and mud-slinging! Your immaturity is embarrasing. Will

Anonymous ("Will"?), assuming you are in earnest and not merely a cowardly troll casting your net for cheap drama:

Before you log onto discernment sites and accuse perfect strangers of "immaturity" for - *gasp!* - exercising discernment, perhaps you ought to gain a bit of maturity, yourself. Included in traditional definitions of maturity are the manifest development of a sense of proportion, a sense of irony, the use of tact, and a sensitivity to hypocrisy, especially one's own hypocrisy.

A necessary step - the MOST necessary step - in gaining maturity and discernment is to turn off TBN and Melissa Scott and read the Bible for oneself, rather than allowing these false teachers to tell one what God has said. So much more could be said, but time and space are limited, and this is not my blog. Good day to you, whoever you are.

  60. John Hagee is very confused and does not rightly divide the Word of God on a host of subjects. He is merely deceived because of his lack of Biblical understanding. I do not know where this lack of understanding comes from. I'm hoping its not willful. But probably just traditions of men. In other words, I'm not surprised.

The Neo-Conservative Mason-istic politics of the Republican Party tend to impress modern Evangelicals for some reason. It seems they are trying desperately to "keep" America morally pure somehow. This endeavor is ridiculous and not biblical. We are a nation that allows for FREEDOM this allows for all kinds of EVIL to grow, prosper, and excel. The mantra of the founding fathers? Anon 7:13, Corwin is right. By far most of the Founding Fathers were Masonic Deists, at best. Franklin in particular was co-founder of a secret society in England, and the motto of that group was "Do as thou wilt." Crowley aped if from Franklin and his libertine buddies, and they adopted it from God knows who; the phrase is as old as original sin. When considering the Founders' use of the term "God" we must take pains to understand which of their gods they meant. Very seldom if ever did they refer to the Almighty God YHWH of the Christian Bible.

Sarkozy warns Arab rulers about Libya precedent

    ANDREW RETTMAN
    25.03.2011 @ 09:52 CET

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - French President Nicolas Sarkozy has warned all Arab rulers that they risk Libya-type intervention if they cross a certain line of violence against their own people...

    (snip)

"What's at play here is Europe as a political force, with a military means serving its political ambitions, and its relations with the Arab world," the French leader went on. "It's a moment of extreme importance for the political future of Europe and for the future of relations between Europe and the Arab people."

The hawkish speech comes amid criticism of EU "double standards" on tolerating violence in strategically important countries such as Bahrain, Syria and Yemen. Palestinian diplomats have also pointed out the EU did nothing when Israeli jets bombed civilians in Gaza in 2009...

Unreported Soros Event Aims to Remake Entire Global Economy

Left-wing billionaire's own experts dominate quiet push for 'a grand bargain that rearranges the entire financial order.'

Two years ago, George Soros said he wanted to reorganize the entire global economic system. In two short weeks, he is going to start - and no one seems to have noticed.

On April 8, a group he's funded with $50 million is holding a major economic conference and Soros's goal for such an event is to "establish new international rules" and "reform the currency system." It's all according to a plan laid out in a Nov. 4, 2009, Soros op-ed calling for "a grand bargain that rearranges the entire financial order."

The event is bringing together "more than 200 academic, business and government policy thought leaders' to repeat the famed 1944 Bretton Woods gathering that helped create the World Bank and International Monetary Fund. Soros wants a new 'multilateral system," or an economic system where America isn't so dominant.

More than two-thirds of the slated speakers have direct ties to Soros. The billionaire who thinks "the main enemy of the open society, I believe, is no longer the communist but the capitalist threat" is taking no chances.

Thus far, this global gathering has generated less publicity than a spelling bee. And that's with at least four journalists on the speakers list, including a managing editor for the Financial Times and editors for both Reuters and The Times. Given Soros's warnings of what might happen without an agreement, this should be a big deal. But it's not.

What is a big deal is that Soros is doing exactly what he wanted to do. His 2009 commentary pushed for "a new Bretton Woods conference, like the one that established the post-WWII international financial architecture." And he had already set the wheels in motion.

UN rights body ditches call to condemn religious ‘defamation,’ focuses on freedom of belief

GENEVA — The U.N.’s top human rights body has replaced its traditional condemnation of religious ‘defamation’ with a resolution underlining the right of individuals to freedom of belief.

The unanimous vote Thursday by the 47-member U.N. Human Rights Council in Geneva was welcomed by free speech activists.

U.S.-based Human Rights First praised the resolution as “a huge achievement because for the first time in many years it focuses on the protection of individuals rather than religions.”

Previous resolutions backed largely by Muslim countries had sought to criminalize any criticism of religions that was deemed offensive by believers.

The nonbinding vote calls on countries to guarantee people’s right to have or adopt a religion or belief of their choice.

    To quote another I'll say...
"The constitution is not the history of the founding of the United states.

Read some US history and you'll find: The civil government instituted on the Mayflower was on a Christian basis, The system of education in New England colonies was based on Christianity. State constitutions from PA, to Georgia were based on Christian principles The continental congress wrote Christian legislation, and all judges in that day were Christian and wrote illustriously of the virtues of the Christian religion and the morality of the Bible both in public and private lives.

Our history is being re-written to edit out God and our Christian heritage, so it's difficult to find data but here it is! I fully recommend serious reading from the following text if you have any doubts about it:

  80. Elliott Hong on 5 Doves points out that the USA attacked Iraq on March 19th 2003 and this year on the very same date attacked Libya exactly 8 years later. He goes on to say "We all know that Purim is the feast celebrating the victory from Haman's plot to eliminate the Chosen
people. And since the story of Esther happened in Persia, it's a common understanding that the mad leader of Iran, Ahmadinejad is the modern Haman. But in a broad picture, the ultimate force attempting to eliminate
the Chosen people is the New World Order system and A/C, and US will play a leading role to form the system."
I thought that was worth noting.
He also mentions that the Japan quake was 8 days earlier on the 11th March. And today, March 27th is 8 days after Purim on the 19th. and 8 days after the 27th is April 4th.

Yeah, especially when this year April 22 is also Good Friday. Phil has to see a pattern where there is none. My house has such and such footage compared to my neighbors and I measured it on March 27 doesn't mean anything. Except maybe the weather was decent on that day. This happened 8days after such and such an event, has no meaning at all. It's like spilling paint on your driveway and thinking it looks like Winston Churchill.

Just to add my two cents to what you have already written.....

Benjamin Franklin is said to have occasionally attended the meetings of the Hellfire Club. It was this club whose motto was "Do what thou wilt" - the motto that was used by Aleister Crowley.

The Hellfire Club was a name for several exclusive clubs for high society rakes established in Britain and Ireland in the 18th century, and was more formally or cautiously known as the "Order of the Friars of St. Francis of Wycombe".[1] These clubs were rumoured to be the meeting places of "persons of quality"[2] who wished to take part in immoral acts, and the members were often very involved in politics. Neither the activities nor membership of the club are easy to ascertain.[3][4]

The very first Hellfire Club was founded in London in 1719, by Philip, Duke of Wharton and a handful of other high society friends.[5] The most infamous club associated with the name was established in England by Sir Francis Dashwood,[6] and met irregularly from around 1749 to around 1760, and possibly up until 1766.[7] Other clubs using the name "Hellfire Club" were set up throughout the 18th century. Most of these clubs were set up in Ireland after Wharton's were dispelled.[8]

The club motto was Fais ce que tu voudras (Do what thou wilt), a philosophy of life associated with François Rabelais' fictional abbey at Thélème[7][9] and later used by Aleister Crowley.

Avraham was in a deep sleep; G-D Himself walked between the halved animal parts when cutting the covenant indicating that He was making an unconditional covenant with Abraham in that He initiated it & bound Himself to it to do good to Abraham & to his seed. All other covenants with the Jews thereafter were built upon this primary covenant (Deut. 4:31, Ps. 105:8, Gal 3:15-17). It became the basic paradigm for all of God's relationships with His people. God made these promises to undeserving sinners and these promises can only be secured by faith in Him - whether Jew or Gentile.

Andrew/Watchman: You seem to be espousing what's call Dispensationalism, which is a false doctrine started by the Heretic J.N. Darby around 1850 in England, and later continued by C.I. Scofield, who put his theologically aberrant notes in his Scofield Bible. These heretical teachings were unknown in the historic Christian church, but have, unfortunately, become dominant in the American Protestant churches. The Christians in Europe had enough discernment to detect this Theological fabrication, and rightfully rejected them, but it sadly continues to be propagated by the mass-audience publishing houses, and The Dallas Theological Seminary-influenced preachers and writers. I pray that the American church would return to the sound Theology that the great leaders of the Reformation fought and died for, i.e., the Faith once delivered to the Saints, and reject the frivolity and perverse teachings too often seen in American churches today. In fact, it's largely taken-over the church. If there is any interest, I'll provide a short reading list of books that helped me escape the nuttiness, and get on the "straight and narrow". Guillermo

Kadhafi tells West to halt 'barbaric genocide'

Colonel Moamer Kadhafi urged world powers meeting Tuesday in London to end their "barbaric" offensive against his oil-rich country as his forces beat back a rebel push on his home town Sirte.

The Libyan strongman likened the NATO-led air strikes targeting his artillery and ground forces to military campaigns launched by Adolf Hitler during World War II.

"Stop your barbaric, unjust offensive on Libya," Kadhafi said in the letter published by the state news agency Jana.

"Leave Libya for the Libyans. You are committing genocide against a peaceful people and a developing nation," he said in the letter to the London meeting of more than 35 countries to map out a post-Kadhafi future for the north African state.

"It seems that you in Europe and America don't realise the hellish, barbaric (military) offensive which compares... to Hitler's campaigns," Kadhafi said.

Apple iPod 'could be charged by the human heart'

The human heartbeat could be used to power an ipod after scientists developed a tiny chip which uses the body's own movement to generate power.

Scientists hope that as the nanotechnology used in the chip evolves, it could lead to electronics which don't require batteries or mains power.

Hailed as a milestone, it can use tiny movements such as the pinch of a finger to generate power.

The team, presenting their findings at the National Meeting & Exposition of the American Chemical Society, have used it to power LCD displays and diodes, as well as to transmit a radio signal once its generated power has been stored.

Dr Zhong Lin Wang, of Georgia Institute of Technology said: "This development represents a milestone toward producing portable electronics that can be powered by body movements without the use of batteries or electrical outlets.

"Our nanogenerators are poised to change lives in the future. Their potential is only limited by one's magination."

  114. From the Wikipedia article on "New Zealand":

In the early 20th century, another more disciplined strain of anti-Semitism crystallised around the social credit theory. This theory, set out by the British engineer C. H. Douglas, was highly critical of bankers and financiers, believing that debt was being used to undermine people's rights. While by no means all creditists were anti-Semitic, the complaints made by Social Credit fit well with existing anti-Semitic theories that Jews controlled financial institutions. As such, many anti-Semites gathered around social credit organisations, and in some cases, became powerful.

Initially, most supporters of social credit were supporters of the Labour Party, which meant that any anti-Semitic sentiments were considerably diluted. Later, however, an independent Social Credit Party was founded, and some allege that the new group contained many anti-Semitic elements. Gradually, rifts emerged in the party over anti-Semitic views, and the faction opposed to anti-Semitism was victorious. By the late 1960s, any anti-Semitic strain had been virtually expelled from the Social Credit Party. Many anti-Semites supported to the League of Rights, an organisation orginating in Australia which also had links to the social credit movement.

MAJOR DOUGLAS was a close friend and associate of prominent THEOSOPHIST A. R. ORAGE, editor of THE NEW AGE and his theories were frequently written up therein. ORAGE, as I recall was one of the speakers, giving the eulogy at Madame Blavatsky's funeral.

So far as I am concerned, Hagee is right that the modern State of Israel is the (partial) fulfilment of prophecy and that Christians should support this State (which does not mean unconditional support for its every action). He is wrong, however, that Jews do not need Jesus for personal salvation. That is a fundamental error in a Christian pastor.

    Passed on from June:

When food brokers consolidate into just a few large companies controlling the majority of a market, then prices can be set not by supply and demand, but by corporate decisions and manipulation of supply. If the price for food is too low in the United States, then grain can be shipped to other markets for sale, causing then an artifical supply problem in the country that produced the grain itself.

With George Soros making this move to control food and grain distribution in the United States, and becoming the third largest grain company in the country, it will lead to the same results that we see in the energy markets as oil is controlled by a small group of corporations, and the price can be dictated by an artificial control over its supply.

Watchman! Dispensationalists deny that the church can fulfill promises made to the nation of Israel, but scripture teaches that Christians are co-heirs of the promises made to Abraham, and partakers of the New Covenant. How? because of Messiah Jesus! In Him, all of God's promises find their true fulfillment (2 Cor. 1:20). The church, through union with Christ, shares in these promises. All who are His by faith have become members of His body, whether O.T. believers or N.T. believers, and are co-heirs of the promises and the covenants. No future fulfillment by national Israel is required for the covenantal promises to be true. (Josh 21:43-45; Gal.3:16). Guillermo

Wow. Lots of good comments and good insights.

In regards to Gingrich, although he has become "Catholic," there is an important distinction to be made among Catholics. That is, is the Catholic:
    (a) one of the 75% who do not go to church weekly, do not believe the doctrines of the Faith and have been overtaken by the flesh, the world and the devil, thus abandoning the Gospel . . . OR . . .
    (b) one of the 25% remnant that DOES go to church weekly, believes in the doctrines of the Faith and hold out against the flesh, world and devil in order to live the Gospel?

The problem with Gingrich is that he may have become a Catholic, and his conversion may have been genuine, but if he has joined up with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops ... which is NOT an official organ of the Catholic Church (but merely a nonprofit that is infested with pagans, liberals and pervs ... oh my!) then Gingrich is being influenced by the "Social Justice" gang that fits into the category of the 75% AWOL, rather than the 25% remnant, Catholics. He may be "Pro-Life," but he will be influenced by the invalid liberal interpretation of the Church’s Catholic Social Teaching, and become victim of the evil one's schemes. This seems to be the case. Don't trust him, for his sake as well as yours!

Regarding why Evangelicals may possess “Zero discernment . . .”

The reason that Evangelicals may be subject to a lack of discernment with regards to the New Age (read: Masonic/occultist) influences in politics is that the conservative movement, unlike the liberal movement, has several DIVERGENT strains of thought, and not all truly conservative or faithful to the American Founding. Attending the Conservative Political Action Conference demonstrates this clearly. On one hand,: you have your almost-lawless libertarians, on the other your virtual liberal statist neo-conservatives, and down the middle your real conservatives that "look neither left nor right.” Unfortunately, this goes generally undiscerned, and the infiltration of conservatism by liberal (read: Masonic/Occultist - Atheistic Materialist – Sex-And-Death Cultists) thought goes unrecognized.

Furthermore, most liberals and many conservatives (especially establishment conservatives) do not understand the degree of infiltration of the United States in every institution, process and part of life by these same corrupting forces. As a result, we are so often very unaware of the extent of the devil's intrigues that we are unable to recognize the difference between what our Founding Fathers bequeathed to us, and the counterfeits left behind by the corrupting transformative process.

Some of the Catholic prophecies, or private revelations detail the current situation:

“Russia will spread her errors throughout the world” received on the eve of the Russian Revolution and referring to the spread of Atheistic Materialism to all nations, including the U.S. (except Portugal, where the prophecy was received).

‘Satan will work almost exclusively through Freemasonry in the later days of distress’ (paraphrased). The Occult may seem like a hydra, but it is coordinated and promoted by Freemasonry.

Additionally, we have George Washington’s farewell address in which he warned Americans, not only of political parties and foreign entanglements, but of SECRET SOCIETIES and INTERNATIONAL FINANCIERS. Freemasonry as a secret society certainly will not be content with being poor and powerless. Instead it has recruited the powerful, rich and influential to advance its purposes, and has thus constructed the global elite that make up the oligarchical “society” of the New World Order constructors. What the Occultists, Atheistic-Materialists and Sex-and-Death Cultists do not realize is that there unexpected successes are due to much more than their efforts. They do not realize that the devil’s special servants in the Freemasons, the devil’s own “church,” the very embodiment of anti-Church, is what makes all their work so successful while the work of the Church can sometimes seem so futile . . . one step forward, three steps back.

    God have Mercy on us.
God is greater than satan. If He allows the evil one such advances, then He has built a plan of greater scope around that of the devil’s. And if the judgement of “the World” is at hand, it is possible that the World must triumph for a short time and celebrate its victory over the Church of Christ in order for the LORD to execute His judgement in a direct and stunningly overt manner, thus demonstrating exactly WHERE the victory of the Church is, and from Whom it comes.
    God have Mercy on us!

Regarding Daniel 11, verse 21 "...but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries..."

I asked someone who has studied prophecy most of his life and is currently teaching a prophecy class at a local college what he thought about Daniel 11 and how much of that chapter refers to Antiochus IV and how much refers to the future, personal Antichrist to come. As you might know, the commentators vary quite a bit on this. His reply was better than anything I could come up with, and I take the same view that he does. There is too much ambiguity in this chapter to make the contents of it central to any end times viewpoint, in my opinion. Here is his reply:

    1. While some commentators view Dan. 11:21 as referring to the Antichrist, most see this as a reference to Antiochus IV. This is my view. However, there is a strong PARALLEL between this ruler and the future Antichrist. I do not see a "double fulfillment" here as much as a "parallel" fulfillment. In other words, the evil works of Antiochus IV (who is the little horn of Daniel 8) did the same kinds of things we will find in the Antichrist, thus the parallel.

    2. It seems more likely that the Antichrist is seen in Dan. 11:36-45.

    3. The ANTI-christ is not the same as a FALSE Christ. False christs pretend to be the Christ. The ANTI-christ makes no such pretenses. He will be all-out self-centered and evil. This tells me that the Antichrist does not need to be a Jew (which he would have to be if he intended to come across as the true Christ). Could he come from the Arab world? I think so. Maybe even from southern Europe or a section of the old Greek or Roman empires. Based on the little horn of Daniel 7, he will be the leader of a nation.

Since that is the only passage I know of (if you know of others, please let me know!) that could possibly refer to the Antichrist in that manner (peaceful, and deceivingly wanting to get along with everyone through treaties, etc), if that passage is NOT actually referring to the Antichrist (and I don't believe it is), then I see no need to find those qualities in the one who is to fulfill that role.

I'm by no means a Bible expert, let alone a prophecy expert; however, I do know that the Greek term used for "anti" in "antichrist" means either 'against,' 'instead of,' or 'in place of' Christ. This is done by intrigue. The word "antichrist" is only used in the Apostle John the his first two epistles. "False Christs" is a different word.

Once in power, he will at some point expose himself as pure evil (see II Thess 2:3, Rev 13:5-6).

There are lots of mean and nasty people in history that people thought fit the bill for being the Antichrist, but none of them turned out to be. Some of them started out looking pretty harmless, like Hitler. But they don't necessarily have to be that way, from what I've seen in scripture.

While churches fight over definitions, the government is attempting to regulate churches now.

  132. Marko,

II Thess 2 seems to be displaying a chronology; so, the "revealing" of the rebellion/apostasy then seems to be the beginning point of the events in vv 9-12, etc. and this seems to correlate to Rev 13:5-6 and further. Clearly, this shows that there is some sort of apostasia (transliterated from the Greek), rebellion/apostasy which infers that relative to this point it was more peaceful. I did not say or mean to intimate that he will be all about peace up to that point but I do think that is very possible, if not probable. This seems to make more sense if the majority will be duped by him.

Now what is Google up to? This has immense ramifications and emailing will never be the same when this becomes the industry standard!

  138. The google piece about the Motion Gmail was definitely an April fool joke. I googled "gmail" and "April Fool" and an article about the spoof came right up.

  139. Pastor Terry Jones burning of the Koran and his self-publicization of it is charged with inciting a massacre of UN forces in Afghanistan. This is real fuel for the fodder for the Alliance of Civilizations.

My own thinking is that Pastor Terry Jones is a dangerous bit player in the increasingly acted out "Armageddon Script" as first outlined in Peter LeMesurier's 1981 book by that title.

Fred: President Kennedy also warned about Secret Societies, in a speech given about 2 or 3 weeks before he was killed. I heard it a couple of months ago.

Excellent stuff, Tex. I rented one of Nicene Councils DVD's from a service called Puritan Picks- in Brooklyn. It works like Netflix. Another great resource is Riddleblog, by Pastor Riddlebarger-out here in CA. Superb Eschatology sermons, and far from Hagee, Hal, Hunt, etc. Very sound Theology and devoid of gimmickry. Will

    Anonymous, regarding Kennedy's statement . . .

Wow. I wouldn't doubt that the highest circles of Freemasonry had Kennedy (John AND Bobby, since Bobby was so virulent against organized crime . . . a Masonic tool) taken out of the picture. MLK, Jr. as well. Hey, divide and conquer, right?

    Thanks, anonymous!

  143. I just received this from a writer who says that one of our forum participants in the comments section evidently took her out of context. I am not familiar with the subject, but for the record, here's her communication to me:

    Hi Constance,

From one writer to another, I wanted to approach you on a professional level regarding some comments that I discovered on your blog. I write for Examiner.com, and I was astonished to see a hit on a search engine for my Examiner title come up in association with comments made on your blog in regards to Bishop James Long.

    Here is the link: http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=11772087&postID=3323725371049614132

Whoever made the comments was highly misinformed, as I have never written any articles regarding the Bishop or any organization that he has ever been associated with. I did have someone come and comment on that article, leaving the exact same message found on yours, and I addressed it and removed it promptly, as it contained the Bishop's personal information, his phone number. If you read my article, you will see that it states not one thing about the Bishop or the institute the commenter refers to. The comment may state "From the article" but it was not, it was from a comment that had been left on it.

While I understand peoples' differing opinions regarding the paranormal, religion, etc. (and respect it), I do not think that anyone deserves to be harassed in person or by phone. I ask that you please remove the comments containing any personal contact information for the Bishop as to both prevent harassment of him and to maintain the level of professionalism on your blog that is apparent in your writing. I also wish to see any links to my articles removed as well that are not used in the proper context, as my story had not one thing to do with the subject matter contained in the comments.

    Thank you,

    Anita Brown
