Signs of the Times -- and then some!

Social event of the season?  German foreign minister weds his same sex partner.  I don't remember seeing any movies on end time events and scenarios quite this wild!  Makes it kind of difficult for me to get worked up about alleged Mormon polygamy!

Well, I had composed and was about to post a lengthly piece about the Cordoba Initiative being an Earth  Charter / New World Religion thrust more dedicated to Gaia/Maitreya than to Allah/Mohammed.  I'll still post it, but I wanted this sink in for to all realize even more WHAT TIME IT IS !

Richard Peterson is my guest on MY PERSPECTIVE internet radio tomorrow night, 7 p.m. Eastern time, 4 p.m. Pacific time.  We will be discussing the CORDOBA INITIATIVE.

Stay tuned!

    Craig,

I'll try to get over and post this comment on your blog as well, but wanted to post it here also, as is a continuation of the discussion from the previous thread...and remains on topic.

Lo and behold, there is a short article exposing Bethel Church’s “prophetess” Erica Greve entitled, “Unfalsifiable Prophecies” over on Holly’s blog “Spirit of Error”.

    http://www.spiritoferror.org/

Holly's intro piece led me to look for more "prophecies" from Greve. There are several, but one of Erica’s “prophecies” stands out forcefully from all the rest of her jibberish…

"I am getting ready to release my special ones, my End Times Army, that will cover the globe with signs and wonders and with power.”

    http://www.etpv.org/2005/ihcc.html

    The prophecy continues....

“There are many who I brought to California before I sent them out so that they would be released with the My Blue Ribbon Seal of Approval. They will receive and bear My Blue Ribbon Seal of Approval and they will begin to move in a power not yet seen on this Earth. This is My season of promotion," says the Lord.”

Hmmm...."My SPECIAL ONES"... "SIGNS AND WONDERS" and.... "A POWER NOT YET SEEN ON THIS EARTH"....gee, I can't wait.

Somehow I don’t think Erica's “Blue Ribbon Seal of Approval” is a God thing. But maybe that’s just me. Erica has received Bill Johnson’s “Seal of Approval” however, which is apparently all she needs. Here’s what Johnson says about Erica:

“Erica has been a part of our church family for many years, and more recently a part of our staff. She has a strong prophetic anointing and has brought the word of the Lord faithfully during this time. She has also ministered very powerfully to me on a number of occasions. I always look forward to hearing from her. I joyfully endorse and support her life and ministry.”

[Bill Johnson- Senior Leader, Bethel Church]

    http://www.elijahlist.com/words/display_word_pf.html?ID=8418

So Johnson admits he looks forward to hearing the prophetic word from “her”. But in my book, prophecy comes from the Lord.

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” [1 John 4:1]

Erica Greve graduated from Bill Johnson's Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry and interned with Patricia King from Extreme Prophetic Ministries.

I suppose this qualifies her to run Campus Awakening UC Berkeley, "a campus ministry whose primary focus is to see college students moving in supernatural power and contending prayer."

    http://www.elijahlist.com/words/display_word/8418

    Test Question #1:

If "supernatural power" is your goal, how do you measure success?

    Test Question #2:

What is the difference between Bethel's School of Supernatural Ministry and the Hogwarts Academy?

(Okay, okay, I'll give away the answer for #2. Hogwarts is fictional. Bethel's school is real. You're on your own for #1.)

  5. In case it has slipped past anyone, with the events taking place at the UN this week also comes the annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative. They webcast meetings which are almost always worth watching. I am including the link to the webcast which shows the times of various meetings and topics they will cover. Anyone following the work Susanna and I have been doing may be interested in the Special Sessions on microfinance, which will take place from 4:30-6:00pm today and 3:30-4:30pm Wednesday. Speakers for these sessions include Muhammad Yunus and Van Jones. Other sessions are loaded with the who's who, including the Obamas, Gates, Laura Bush, and the Clintons.

With King channeling "minty green angels of provision", and Erica prophesying about the winner of this year's American Idol television show, how can anyone not take these people seriously?

Granted, Erica Greve's "Idol" prophecy is about as vague as all the others, but you have to admit, it probably has a lot more significance for our times than anything else she has prophesied so far.

I had been an avid listener and even promoted the network on my website and in our parish bulletin. Knowing now the extreme anti-Catholic and anti-clerical spirit there I can't recommend it any longer. In fact, Constance is well enough known, and attracts a wide enough audience that she needn't be there herself. I can put her in contact with another network with stronger signal, engineering support, etc. Her program could be as well known as Alex Jones given the right networking.

Despite the title of the following video,'Bush Confession 911', which is erroneous because he says, 'more than THEY did in New York City', not, 'More than I did...' as the subheading claims, this video exposes Bush as a New Ager with the ideas 1 World religionists hold, where he admits his belief that Christians & Muslims pray to the same God, and that on that basis both are eligible to enter Heaven.

Yet Jesus Christ said, "I Am the Way, the Truth & the Life, no man comes to the Father but by Me", and, "any other way is a thief & a robber"!

I've hosted both regular radio and internet radio programs and have contacts that could set her up. I know of a small, non-commercial internet radio network that is very professioanlly run, and has just started. It is really up to her. I love her program, but I won't be going back to that network to listen, nor could I recommend it.

Farmer, consumer outcry helping to stop passage of draconian 'food safety' bill

(NaturalNews) Advocates of Senate Bill 510 (S.510) -- also known as the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act -- are lamenting the delayed passage of the sweeping legislation that many say threatens American food freedom. According to reports, opposition from the public, local farmers and some members of Congress could delay a vote on the bill until November -- and may even kill it completely.

According to a recent New York Times article in obvious favor of the legislation, the Senate calendar is filled with a multitude of other bills that need to be voted on before members leave for the campaign trail in October. But since not all members are in favor of the legislation, advocates are straining to find ways to get it passed.

Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) opposed the bill because he believes the increased FDA authority over food granted by the bill would not necessarily improve food safety. And Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) says the bill gives the federal government too much power over small farms and facilities, and that local authorities are better suited to enforce existing food safety laws.

Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) recently criticized Coburn for opposing the bill, accusing him of playing "politics" and emphasizing that in light of the recent Iowa egg recall, it is "unconscionable" to oppose the legislation.

But it is now becoming widely believed that the recall was designed to scare the public into accepting S.510. Many say the panic and frenzy fueled by the media over the recall do not warrant the passage of a bill that potentially eliminates American sovereignty over its own food.

Significant grassroots opposition efforts have also helped stall the bill, at the behest of some of its most avid supporters. Linda Cohen-Cole, a small farm advocate from Atlanta, is cited in the New York Times as saying the bill is "a fascist takeover of the entire food supply."

If you have something better, I would love to hear it. I know about the problems on the one I'm on -- but since I have NO FUNDS to broadcast (I have always refrained from passing hats) and the FREEZE DRY GUY sponsored me whereas the others are paying, I feel it is one place and time where folks on that network can hear it straight. Tal Brooke of SCP worked hard along with the others in the Pat Robertson / Doug Coe / Paul N. Temple networks to see that I was blackballed. There were Judases and even professional spies in the some of the discernment networks that worked likewise to insure I had no platforms. By the grace of God, word got out. Even over at EWTN where Mother Angelica took an earnest and honest interest in my work, Fr. Mitch Pacwa worked to silence me there and establish himself as the New Age expert while giving clean bills of health to some aspects of the New Age Movement such as the Bahai's and Outcome Based Education.

I would like to hear from you.

Thanks for bringing up food here!

I have been preoccupied for the past couple months with a dying mother and a lack of time, but today I did take the time to respond to the debate about Frankenfish, after doing a tremendous amount of research.

I truly hope others here will do the same.

God did not intend for our food supply to be genetically modified!

They want to turn us all into zombies and are succeeding at a fast clip through chemicals and additives in the food supply!

If you don't know what's going on, please educate yourselves! I'd be happy to provide links if you are in doubt of the severity of our food crisis.

Here is the website where you can have your voice heard. Please do so quickly. They are ramming this GM salmon through very, very quickly!

Here is what I wrote. It has to be broken down into two parts or the comment won't be accepted.

I strongly disapprove of genetically modified fish. It has recently become public knowledge that sockeye salmon in north Atlantic waters has become very, very abundant recently, to the chagrin, I suppose of Aqua Bounty Industries, so please don't use that as an argument that this bogus salmon is necessary!

As someone who values authenticity and natural health, I find the idea of frankenfish totally egregious to the idea of public health, safety and a healthy environment in general. The government shares a patent with Monsanto on a seed that has decimated farmers around the world, and allowed an unhealthy seed to overtake the healthy natural seeds that were once propagated annually. Will the US government continue down this slippery slope in allowing the nation's fisherman and fisheries to be put out of business, just as farmers and dairy farmers have been put out of business for the sake of multi-national interests and profits?

If this is passed, the altered fish will be next in line to take over corporate control of the food chain, which if one takes the time to do the research, is certainly no longer healthy or natural, but is composed of hormones and chemicals that alter the natural way in which the body was intended to function efficiently.

As a result of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, fisherman in many coastal waters and especially in the Gulf states are facing serious concerns to their livelihood. To attempt to subvert commercial fisheries with artificial product is simply disgraceful since commercial fisheries have supplied nutritious and delicious high protein fish to consumers, (much to their enjoyment) for centuries.

As Henry Kissinger said back in the 1970’s, ‘Control the oil and you can control entire Continents. Control food and you control people…’

I will not buy farmed seafood. Period. If the FDA allows the introduction of this frankenfish into the food supply, I will do my best to make everyone I know aware of how the FDA has been infiltrated with corporations who have agendas that benefit them financially, but are not in the interests of public health and well-being.

Case in point, Richard L. Huber, a member of the board of directors of Aqua Bounty Industries has many conflicts of interest, as I see it. Just check his history and the boards he has served on. Look at Aetna and the public distrust and giant lawsuits of that heath care giant of which he was a CEO in the late 1990's. His background in banking and energy and big Healthcare industry makes the average consumer wonder why a person in his position would care about producing a genetically engineered fish that would supposedly "benefit" the overall population as Aqua Bounty has proposed.

To help feed the poor in the world? Jeez, give me a break. I quote the following words of Richard L. Huber, from music journalist Greg Sandow, who attended a fundraiser for the Russian National Orchestra back in 1998. Mr. Huber was one of the entitled people able to pay $500 dollars a ticket to attend the event , which honored Oil magnate Gordon Getty, who also happens to be a contemporary composer of sorts. When Huber is asked why his company (Aetna) is the largest corporate supporter of the RNO's American tour, Huber urges a reporter to touch his arm. "I want you to feel," he roars, "that I don't have an altruistic bone inside me."

Well gee. That kind of squashes the idea that Aqua Bounty's board members are looking to help feed the world's poor and undernourished, doesn't it?

Let's continue with Huber in looking at possible motivation for Aqua Bounty's production of this fish.

Going back to Kissinger's remarks about controlling the population through oil and food, Mr. Huber serves as a Senior Director of Kissinger McLarty Associates, an international advisory partnership led by Mr. Henry Kissinger and Mr. Mack McLarty.

According to various Internet sources , “Kissinger Associates and its affiliate, Kissinger McLarty Associates, provide strategic advisory and advocacy services to a select group of U.S. and multinational companies. The firms provide high-level intervention regarding special projects, assist their clients to identify strategic partners and investment opportunities, and advise clients on government relations throughout the world.

Kissinger McLarty Associates also has a strategic alliance with the Blackstone Group, the investment company who just happens to have had a huge stake in Nalco, the so-called 'environmentally friendly' company that produced the millions of gallons of dispersant that was used indiscriminately by BP in the Gulf of Mexico during the DWH catastrophe, and whose toxicity to humans and wildlife is well known as a result of the Alaska-Valdez spill!

It only benefits the deep pockets of corporations, banks and investment groups that are seeking to infiltrate the fish farm markets around the world with this hormone-injected and genetically modified frankenfish.

In light of how casually the US government has re-opened fishing waters in the Gulf after the worst oil spill in history, and in spite of the warnings of scientists, and in light of how casually gov't agencies have inspected the massive fish kills of late, from Louisiana up the Altantic seaboard, attributing most of them to oxygen depletion rather than seeking the source for the oxygen depletion, one has no cause to wonder why Americans have become suspicious of their own governments and its agencies and their motives.

However I don't put much stock in that poverty figure, it is totally arbitrary and politically driven. What are they saying now, 1 in 7? That's their goal isn't it, to increase government dependency?

I worked for 24 years with many individuals living in so-called "poverty", the mentally ill, alcoholics, the developmentally disabled, etc. I drove them to food banks, helped them acquire food stamps, energy and housing and even telephone assistance. I helped them collect their social security disability and welfare checks. While many were thankful for the help, most considered it a service they were entitled to.

Nearly all of the folks I worked with lived in government subsidized housing. Yet none would choose to buy healthy food or a vacuum cleaner if it meant giving up their cable televisions. If they ran out of money for groceries at the end of the month, so be it, at least they ALWAYS had enough for cigarettes and beer.

A friend of mine worked for Catholic charities delivering furniture and appliances to those living "in poverty". He went on a missions trip to work with Mother Theresa in India for a time. Upon his return he had a change of heart about the impoverished in this country. The change came when someone called up and said they needed a couch for their apartment.

This man, 74 yrs old at the time, loaded a donated couch on the truck. Him and a helper hauled it up three flights of stairs and into the apartment. Once in place, the ungrateful "customer" asked if they had one in a different color.

So much for poverty in America.

  40. Anon 12:14,

Perhaps you should say "global government dependency." This is the end goal. We're sitting here just worrying about socialism in America, which is alarming in itself. BUT...the bigger story is global government, new world order, and how it will solve all of our problems (so they think.)

    Fr. Ashcraft,

I was wondering in what church were you ordained? Are you a priest of the Byzantine Catholic Church (in full communion with Rome)?

  42. Dear Ms. Cumbey: I'm with you on everything. Who would have dreamed, even 40 years ago, the state of the world today? I'm glad you stated "alleged" Mormon polygamy. Fringe groups that split off of the church in the 1890's (and groups that keep spinning off of these fringe groups) do practice a perverted version of the original Mormon plural marriage. No Latter-day Saint (and I am one - in the interest of full disclosure) does so without being excommunicated and reported to the authorities.

  45. Thank you for having me Constance. I should have liked to get into the Modernist/New Age leanings of the current heirarchy, but time didn't permit. Unfortunately my experiences each time I visit that network are very negative and reinforce the fact that I made the right decision to leave the fundamentalist spectrum. The owner and many of the chat members were simply hateful. If you should ever desire to leave that bastion of hate and anti-semitism please do let me know. You can do better and deserve better.

Jesus tells us that if someone asks for the shirt off our backs we should also give them our coats. (Or something like that.)

I am sorry that you had a bad experience. But the Lord does stress compassion for the poor and needy and that is what we are called to do. We must show an example that way.

This is where the GOP has created problems for Christians. On the other hand, this is also a way in which liberals have managed to say they are more caring than the so-called Christian right wingers. (Hence the term bleeding heart liberal.)

We are called to rise above the fray of division and just honor the holy spirit by being compassionate and forgiving of our brothers.

Please don't fall into a trap that makes one experience color all the others that might follow. I know of many needy people who are most grateful for help. We can't turn our backs on the less fortunate because of one hurtful experience.

    Hope that makes sense.
