SALVADOR DE MADARIAGA - FORERUNNER OF THE EARTH CHARTER?

The Earth Charter, championed by David Rockefeller and Maurice Strong may have well had  earlier origins.  A similar concept is mentioned by Salvador de Madariaga  in an essay he contributed to the UNESCO predecessor, THE COMMITTEE FOR INTELLECTUAL COOPERATION and "A LEAGUE OF MINDS" for the League of Nations.  This was set forth by Salvador de Madariaga.  DeMadariaga is either the the Grandfather, "great uncle" or very distant cousin of Javier Solana, depending on which revised version of his genealogy one cares to believe.  Those versions claiming he was his "great uncle" rely upon a supposed relationship that Javier's grandfather and Salvador de Mariaga were "cousins."  Had that been true, they would have been only very distant cousins.  Here is the current Wikipedia excerpt which contains the revised genealogy.  Earlier Spanish ones plainly said that Solana was the "nieto" of Salvador de Madariaga, i.e. grandson.

'Solana was born in MadridSpain. He comes from a well-known Spanish family, being the grand nephew of Spanish League of Nations disarmament chief, diplomat, writer and European integrationist Salvador de Madariaga [1] (Javier's grandfather, Rogelio de Madariaga y Castro and Salvador de Madariaga were cousins).

It is hard to understand Solana distancing himself from such a distinguished and respected European academic and writer, until one considers the controversy over Theosophy  and deMadariaga's open embrace of it.  Had it been slightly veiled, Nieves Mathews a/k/a Prabhu Praveeta, the most likely candidate for the REAL mother of Javier Solana, revealed all in in her professions of adoration for her guru, Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, a/k/a "Osho":

"My mother [Constance Archibald de Madariaga] was very close to the man who first brought Sufism to the west in our century-Hazrat Inayat Khan. I didn’t know him but as a child of eight, I was given my first Sufi name 'Hayat’ by him. It means’ life‘, and as my daughter wrote to me when she heard I was now called Praveeta’ that’s just a continuation - being pregnant with God.’ Inayat gave me my first name, and my whole childhood and adolescence was under the wing of this form of Sufis which came to the West. . . . Prabhu Praveeta: Oh! Don’t ask me! I was living all over the place. I lived in Geneva-working for 18 years with the United Nations’ FAO‘, being responsible for the Latin American of side grants and scholarships to people from underdeveloped countries-in England, In Spain, in France. Then after the war was over I went to Mexico and then travelling South America. Finally I went to Italy and there I’ve lived the longest period of my life. . . I knew Krishnamurti [the New Agers' collective candidate for "Maitreya" from 1910 through 1929] but I didn’t get on with him; I found him rather harsh. The others I’ve known were just flowering love and some of them were more reserved and quiet and you felt their radiance, but there wasn’t this communication at all . . ."
At any rate, the Alliance of Civilizations, Maurice Strong, Steven C. Rockefeller and so many others have been working hard recently to promote an "Earth Charter" which is a "New Ark of the Covenant."   It was an integral part of the doings at the high level Alliance of Civilizations meeting recently held in Rio de Janeiro May 27-29, 2010.  Click on the above picture to get a larger picture!

It appears plain that Javier Solana was an instigating factor for the Alliance of Civilizations.  Now, it appears that his mentor Grandfather/Cousin/Great Uncle, whatever, may have been an instigating factor for the Earth Charter as well.  Whatever the relationship, Solana clearly heads the institute in Salvador de Madariaga's name.  Consider the following text by Grandpa/Uncle/Cousin Salvador de Madariaga:

"THIS Eastertide I have heen performing a self-appointed task, that of meditating on the role of the spirit in the modern world.  It is natural that my meditation should take the form of a letter to you for I was thinking not so much of the Holy Spirit as of the Healthy Spirit which I fancy as that magnetism which flows from your piercing glance and from the electric bristles of your pepper and salt moustache.  You were moreover one of the first to think with me that it is precisely this question of the role of the spirit in the modern world which is at the basis of what, in the jargon of Geneva, is known as Intellectual Co-operation. There, from the very beginning of the League of Nations, when I was only one of its acolytes, lay, for me, its real activity, and there, while politicians smiled,  saw the very soul of the Covenant, the idea which, in two or three centuries, historians will possibly consider as the most fertile of those.-' which the first World Charter erected into universal laws."

The preceding quotation paragraph was Salvador de Madariaga's "meditation" for what was the obvious predecessor for Donald Keys' 1981 "World Council of Wise Persons" and the Alliance of Civilizations "Group of Eminent Personalities."  It was an entity they named "International Institute of Intellectual Cooperation" with its "League of Minds."  I was fortunate to have found and obtained Limited Edition "numbered consecutively" 1002 of only 2,000 printed in 1933.  I am putting up the Salvador de Madariaga chapter for which any copyright protection long since expired on my "Presentations for Downloading" link.  Take advantage of it!

Stay tuned!

  1. Constance,

Please check your gmail for the piece I sent on Solana and microcredit. It seems the Doctor has been all over the map promoting it, all while still acting as a, if not the, main voice for Europe. Keeping in mind of course that microcredit has been adopted under the Treaty of Alternative Economic Models by the Earth Charter Initiative and United Nations respectively.

"COOPERATION". Forty years ago, when our first child was a toddler, PBS introduced their brainwash program for little children, SESAME STREET, and we used to turn it on for our child to watch (for which I ask forgiveness). As I went about my tasks in the house I would hear the "teaching" from SESAME STREET (before I recognized it as indoctrination). One of the mantras that came through so strongly then and that I still remember with disgust was the theme of COOPERATION. It was drilled into the little ones. I do not, do not, believe that was just a coincidence. Even then those who are/were responsible for SESAME STREET had an agenda to prepare all the children for The New World Order.

You are welcome. I am aware of Ann D. Soetoro's involvement in microfinance. Such will be one of the subjects in the piece I am working on, including her relationship with Hillary Clinton and Peter Geithner (Timmy's father)associated with it.

  5. It appears the United States government has formally went on the offensive to combat "Conspiracy Theories". I immediately have noticed that they do a worse job of defending their position than some of the more far fetched theorists do in presenting their information. Some of these that they claim to debunk could be debated to eternity with few clear answers.

The one idea that is not touched at all, is the idea of a One World Government. Of course since it has recently become a matter of public debate, and they have admitted that such is the goal, is it any wonder? Of course there is no mention that they as a institution denied such a desire for decades, which throws the credibility of their attempt here out the window.

Obama uses Gulf oil spill for energy agenda push

(CNN) -- President Obama used the oil spill crisis in the Gulf of Mexico to advance his alternative energy agenda Wednesday, calling it a warning that America needs to transition away from dependence on fossil fuels.
"The catastrophe unfolding in the Gulf right now may prove to be a result of human error -- or corporations taking dangerous shortcuts that compromised safety," Obama said in remarks at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
"But we have to acknowledge that there are inherent risks to drilling four miles beneath the surface of the Earth -- risks that are bound to increase the harder oil extraction becomes. Just like we have to acknowledge that an America run solely on fossil fuels should not be the vision we have for our children and grandchildren."
Obama's emphasis on energy issues was part of a broader focus in the president's speech on the state of the economy. Administration officials pledged to focus strongly on job creation earlier in the year but have since been forced to grapple with a host of unexpected challenges, including the oil spill.

"The time has come, once and for all, for this nation to fully embrace a clean energy future," Obama said. "That means [making] everything from our homes and businesses to our cars and trucks more energy efficient. It means tapping into our natural gas reserves, and moving ahead with our plan to expand our nation's fleet of nuclear power plants. And it means rolling back billions of dollars in tax breaks to oil companies so we can prioritize investments in clean energy research and development."
The president also renewed his call for what critics characterize as a carbon tax.
"The only way the transition to clean energy will succeed is if the private sector is fully invested in this future," he said. "And the only way to do that is by finally putting a price on carbon pollution."

    Word of the day: AGLUTINATE

Definition: To cause to adhere, as with glue.

Just like clockwork, the big push to globally endorse/enforce the UN’s Millennium Development Goals, Alliance of Civilization Goals, the Earth Charter goals, etc. (WHICH ARE ALL ONE AND THE SAME) seems to be lining up for this fall:

SEPTEMBER: World Summit on UN Millennium Development Goals

“With only five years left until the 2015 deadline to achieve the Millennium Development Goals, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has called on world leaders to attend a summit in New York on 20-22 September 2010 to boost progress towards the MDGs”

    http://www.un.org/millenniumgoals/

    OCTOBER: The Micah Challenge XXX

Mainstream churches and well known Christian organizations such as the Assemblies of God, the Salvation Army, Samaritan’s Purse, and THOUSANDS more across the globe are lining up to “hold the nation’s accountable” and support the UN’s MDG’s…

    http://www.micahchallenge.org/get-involved/micah-2010/global-prayer

    NOVEMBER

Next wave of major Alliance of Civilizations Conferences, including Malta - wherein the A.O.C.’s anti-Israel Mediterranean policy will be endorsed (as per Rio Conference docs).

And just to REstate and REpeat the obvious, they all share the same goals:

“The objective of the Alliance of Civilizations is to build a collective political will to establish a paradigm of mutual respect among civilizations and cultures,,,.The Alliance wants to create a movement that will agglutinate the vast majority of peoples that do not identify themselves with extremisms, to:

    • Enforce mutual respect and understanding in practical ways. "Overcome the influence of those who want to have the monopoly of the truth.
    • Overcome the threat that the trends of extremism constitute to peace and global stability.
    • Create the conscience that security cannot be divided and that it's vital for everyone. Global cooperation is a basic requirement to security and stability, as well as development.
    • Promote common values among the different peoples, cultures and civilizations.”

    http://www.iemed.org/activitats/2006/youthforum/ayouthforumart1.php

    Whereas:

“The mission of the Earth Charter Initiative is to promote the transition to sustainable ways of living and a global society founded on a shared ethical framework that includes respect and care for the community of life, ecological integrity, universal human rights, respect for diversity, economic justice, democracy, and a culture of peace.”

    Whereas the UN MDG’s:

    · End Hunger
    · Achieve Universal Education
    · Promote Gender Equality
    · Reduce Child Mortality
    · Improve Maternal Health
    · Combat HIV/AIDS, Malaria and Other Diseases
    · Ensure Environmental Sustainability

From what I read and hear (reports) she does not specifically identify the Lord Jesus Christ as "The Word" made flesh and coming soon.

Wonder if "some one else" can be read into this. Would she deliberately allude to Maitreya this way? Or can that be read into her statement by others?

"...JoAnne Moretti, along with a team of investigators, delved into records which pointed to a paper trail connecting the major players in this disaster--BP, Deep Water Horizon, Halliburton, Citigroup, Goldman-Sachs, the U.S. Government, and a company called 'NALCO.'

    NALCO.'

A few recognizable names of individuals involved in the paper trail also surfaced--Warren Buffet, George Soros, John Holdren, Tony Rezko....and Barack Obama.

At the heart of the scandal which Moretti reveals is the concerted effort by all of these major players to delay the cutting off of the oil flow into the Gulf of Mexico.

    Why?

The bottom line--NALCO is the manufacturer of chemical dispersements and water purification systems that are being used in the Gulf to attempt to 'disperse the oil before it reaches the shoreline.'

This is what is known as 'the top kill' method which BP has claimed is the best manner possible of dealing with the spill. The top kill method, however, does nothing to actually stop the flow of oil from its source--the well hidden deep in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

The Obama Administration and BP have been noticeably lazy about stopping the flow of oil into the waters of the Gulf. Obama claimed that as soon as the explosion of the oil rig occurred, Federal SWOT teams were dispatched to the area in order to 'secure it.' The notion that the Obama Administration did not know the extent of the leak is contradicted by the announcement that federal teams were 'on the scene from day one.'

    continued

    ReplyDelete
  15. Anonymous5:02 PM

    Continued

Obama claims that he backed off from doing anything to stop the oil leak in deference to BP, which he claims was better equipped to deal with the situation. And indeed, that much is true. BP did, in fact, say such a thing publicly.

But BP's interest in actually cutting off the flow of oil into the Gulf is just as suspect as the U.S. Government's.

And here is where the story takes a sordid, and potentially criminal, turn.

    Moretti says the following:

NALCO is associated with UChicago Argonne program. UChicago Argonne received $164 million dollars in stimulus funds this past year. UChicago Argonne just added two new executives to their roster. One from NALCO. The other from the Ill. Dept of Education.

If you dig a little deeper you will find NALCO is also associated with Warren Buffett, Maurice Strong, Al Gore, Soros, Apollo, Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, Hathaway Berkshire.

Warren Buffet /Hathaway Berkshire increased their holdings in NALCO just last November. (Timing is everything).

The dispersant chemical is known as Corexit. What it does is hold the oil below the water's surface. It is supposed to break up the spill into smaller pools. It is toxic and banned in Europe.

NALCO says they are using older and newer versions of Corexit in the Gulf.. (Why would you need a newer version, if the old one was fine?)

There is big money and even bigger players in this scam. While they are letting the oil blow wide open into the Gulf, the stakes and profit rise.

The Dolphins, Whales, Manatees, Sea Turtles and fish suffocate and die. The coastal regions, salt marshes, tourist attractions and the shore front properties are being destroyed, possibly permanently. The air quality is diminished. The Gulf of Mexico fishing industry is decimated.

All to create a need for their expensive and extremely profitable poison.

But that's not all. Goldman-Sachs, Blackstone, and Apollo are all involved in NALCO. So is Tony Rezko in Chicago--the infamous friend of Barack Obama who was convicted for fraud. And multi-millions of dollars of taxpayer-funded 'stimulus funds' went into the coffers of many of the main players in NALCO.

Evidence has also been uncovered that as soon as the oil rig blew, the masterminds of the big government-big corporation complex went to work to maximize the financial reward from the disaster--'never let a good crisis go to waste.'

Investors were advised to buy BP stock, and a major symposium was held involving several key players in the Obama Administration, which focused on modern technological advances in developing 'clean water.' NALCO is the major source for such 'technological advances.'

Department conducts its investigation of BP.

Note--the entire report, along with documentation and a plethora of links, can be found at JoAnne Moretti's site.

    Anubis

A seven-ton, 26-foot-tall concrete sculpture of Anubis, Egyptian god of the dead and the underworld, has been installed just south of the Jeppesen Terminal at Denver International Airport.

    http://www.9news.com/news/article.aspx?storyid=140192&catid=339

The giant jackal headed god adds fuel to conspiratorial fires concerning the behemoth airport’s future intended purpose(s). Regardless of whether or not one believes any of the outlandish claims about the airport’s darker side, no one can deny that the Anubis idol fits right in with DIA’s other artwork, much of which is well documented and has been discussed here previously.

At any rate, for what it's worth, Anubis, the Egyptian god of the dead, now stands at the very heart of DIA's Swastika lay out.

See Google Earth, Google Maps, or
    http://www.panoramio.com/photo/21415776

    or

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:KDEN_AirportDiag!.png

For those who are curious, Anubis, according to Egyptian mythology, is the father of Osiris. His role as the god of the dead can best be described as “the determiner”, or perhaps, “the dominator”…

“The critical weighing of the heart scene in Book of the Dead also show Anubis performing the measurement that determined the worthiness of the deceased to enter the realm of the dead (the underworld). New Kingdom tomb-seals also depict Anubis atop nine bows that symbolize his domination over the foes of Egypt.” [Source: wikipedia]

    To Constance, JD, Dorothy, All

Here is where it pays to never dismiss a source - or a story - out of hand no matter how extreme or bizarre it might appear on the surface.

The truth that is mixed in with falsehoods in certain conspiracy theories and catastrophic prognostications often leads to what might be reasonably called "the rest of the story"....or at least a good chunk of it.

For example, take the recent apocalyptic Russian "toxic rain" story that has been making the rounds.

One of the key elements of this story that may have lent it most of its credibility is that it was attributed to the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources.

Just for the sake of argument, let's say that the story is bogus. But doesn't this begs the question? Why hasn't the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources denied it? It's not as if the story hasn't gone viral on the internet.

What would the Russian government have to gain by allowing such a bogus BP "toxic rain" story to stand unchallenged?

I wonder if it has anything to do with the conflict between BP and Russia that has been going on since at least 2004? The Russian government has reportedly been shaking down BP ON ENVIRONMENTAL GROUNDS....in spite of the fact that most of its own government-run "mineral resource" enterprises have been environmental nightmares.

Some have suggested that the Russian government (headed by former KGB officer Vladimir Putin) might be looking for a catastrophic environmental justification to RENATIONALIZE its "mineral reserves" as Hugo Chavez has done in Venezuela???

Whatever the actual origins of this "toxic rain" story, it is nevertheless redolent of the "nuclear winter" propaganda concocted by the former Soviet Union during the Cold War with a view to preventing NATO from deploying Pershing missiles in Europe. While the Soviets didn't succeed, it should not surprise us if the term "nuclear winter" is still part of the "global warming/climate change" lexicon.

And last but certainly not least, there is that pesky little 1994 Energy Charter Treaty that seems to be getting in the way of Russia shaking down foreign investors in a more overt manner.

BP loses appeal against Russian oil field seizure
Request to prevent Russian state seizure of TNK-BP's Kovykta oil field is thrown out of court, but company can appeal

........TNK-BP had claimed that two environmental agencies Rosprirodnadzor and Rosnedr had no legal right to start the process of withdrawing its licence, and that the move was politically motivated.
It is widely believed that the Russian government is using the threat of withdrawal over environmental grounds to force TNK-BP and its privately-owned partner Alfa - owned by a group of Russian billionaires - to give up a proportion of their stake in the oil field operator Rusia Petroleum.

It followed a similar strategy with Shell, forcing it to give up a majority stake in the giant Sakhalin-2 oil and gas field project

TNK-BP has a 62 per cent stake and according to the Russian press, state-controlled group Gazprom wants to obtain a near-75 per cent stake..........

BP Faces Environment Inquiry in Russia

    By ANDREW E. KRAMER

    Published: March 22, 2008

MOSCOW — BP’s problems in Russia continued Friday.

Russian security forces raided the offices of TNK-BP, above, and BP on Wednesday, taking computers and documents.

A Russian environmental agency announced that it would inspect a large oil field in Siberia, the Samotlor, which is controlled by BP’s joint venture, TNK-BP. The announcement came a day after Russian security authorities arrested a TNK-BP employee on charges of industrial espionage.

Notice of the inspection appeared Friday morning on the Web site of the ministry of natural resources, the Rosprirodnadzor.

Already this week, Russian security forces raided the Arbat Street headquarters of TNK-BP, as well as the offices of BP, carting away documents and computer hard drives in what oil analysts say appears to be a campaign of mounting pressure on BP.

On Thursday, the F.S.B., the main successor agency to the Soviet-era K.G.B., announced the arrest of an employee who had dual Russian and American citizenship, and the employee’s brother, on charges of spying for Western oil companies.

TNK-BP denied that the company had engaged in industrial espionage.

The joint venture is the third-largest oil company in Russia and is BP’s main business here. Its fate is crucial to BP because it accounts for about a quarter of the company’s total worldwide oil production.

BP is partner in the venture with three Russian billionaires.

On Friday, the Russian foreign ministry issued a statement saying the spy charges were not related to a diplomatic dispute between Russia and Britain that has been simmering since the radiation poisoning of an F.S.B. defector in London in 2006.

(Note: This is a reference to the poisoning of Alexander Litvinenko

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/
    Alexander_Litvinenko )

The ministry characterized the arrests as purely a law enforcement matter.

In another bad sign for BP in Russia, the Parliament on Friday passed in a preliminary reading a bill restricting foreign investment in assets deemed strategic for the country’s economy or national security; most large oil fields fall into this category.

A spokeswoman for the ministry of natural resources characterized the inspection announced on Friday as routine and noted that it would cover other fields and other companies as well.

Still, in 2006, the same Russian environmental agency threatened Royal Dutch Shell with multibillion-dollar fines in a months-long campaign that led to Shell’s selling a controlling stake of its Sakhalin Island oil and gas development to Gazprom.

After Gazprom bought the stake, the agency dropped its environmental complaints and work continued.

The same inspector in the Shell situation, Oleg L. Mitvol, the agency’s deputy director, was appointed to lead the investigation at TNK-BP’s Samotlor field, according to the statement.

As with other oil developments from Soviet days, the Samotlor field has been plagued by environmental troubles.

Part of the rationale for forming TNK-BP in 2003 was the environmental protection technology that BP promised to bring to the Samotlor field, which is among the worst environmental disasters in Siberia’s oil region.

Oil leaks from hundreds of holes in corroded pipes. It has pooled in large slicks in the groundwater. And the field straddles the Ob River flood plain.

TNK-BP has been in a dispute with Gazprom over the terms of sale of another large Siberian petroleum resource: a natural gas field within pipeline range of the Chinese border in the Irkutsk region.

BP was seen as prescient for having invested in the remote field in the early 1990s in anticipation of a boom in Chinese energy demand that materialized a decade later.

In spite of the pressure on foreign investors, Russia’s booming economy is luring companies here. Just this week, PepsiCo and its main bottler agreed to pay $1.4 billion for Russia’s leading juice company, Lebedyansky, in Pepsi’s biggest acquisition since the purchase of Quaker Oats in 2001.

It could be perhaps that someone is indeed overstating the detriments of using the dispersants.

    Solana and Cooper

    excerpt:

EU ponders creation of new diplomatic breed

'The Ambassadors' by Hans Holbein: EU diplomats will have to by wily, loyal to the blue-and-gold flag and up-to-speed on European history

    ANDREW RETTMAN

    04.06.2010 @ 18:03 CET

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - The phrase "EU diplomat says" regularly pops up in articles on EU foreign policy. But with the EU poised to launch its European External Action Service in the coming months, the question of what precisely is an EU diplomat is in the air in Brussels.

In journalistic usage, "EU diplomat" is a code used to conceal the identity of sources. It can mean a European Commission or EU Council official dealing with foreign affairs or a diplomat from one of the 27 EU countries. European Parliament officials and MEPs never get the label, even if they work on inter-parliamentary delegations around the world.

Some Council and Commission officials have strong diplomatic credentials in the Oxford English Dictionary definition of "diplomacy" - "the management of international relations by negotiation."

A Council official such as Robert Cooper, an aide to the former EU foreign relations chief, Javier Solana, over the past 10 years, is at the heart of EU foreign policy-making. He has a deep knowledge of how the EU machine works. Colleagues say that, with time, he has come to put the interests of the EU before those of his country of origin, the UK.

But he is not a diplomat in the strict sense of being granted a diplomatic rank and special privileges by his host state, Belgium, under the UN's 1961 Vienna Convention.

  38. Re CATHERINE ASHTON, this is EXTREMELY INTERESTING. I'm not sure yet exactly what it means:

    http://tinyurl.com/25zdw99

The article has to do with Pakistan cementing ties with EU. It appears the announcement of successful diplomacy was made by EU President Rompuy. A 5 year "engagement plan" between the EU and Pakistan was announced that, per the statement was to be guided by the Pakistani Foreign Minister and EU's Catherine Ashton.

The SURPRISING part of the article was the following. READ CLOSELY:

"The whole process will be guided by Pakistani Foreign Minister and EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton .

"She will co-host the next Ministerial Meeting of the Friends of Democratic Pakistan to take place in Brussels on 14-15 October.

"However, analysts in Brussels were surprised that Ashton did not attend the summit meeting and no explanation was given for her absence."

I'm reading between the lines on this one. Almost all have been unhappy with her, but until the financial issues are settled, it has been said that they are letting her be for now because nobody wanted to rock the boat anymore than it is already shaking."

I rather suspect her days in that job may be numbered. But then, who knows?

  41. Constance,

Per your question regarding the theme of this thread. Salvador's association with theosophists, the families ties with suffi beliefs, as well as the involvement you cited with the early ideas regarding the League of Nations may be why Javier both distances himself and yet remains a key player in so many aspects. Both Javier and Luis have remained in key roles throughout their respective careers, of bringing the world Salvador sought to fruition.

While both have been involved on the socio-economic front (microcredit), Javier has also had his hands full in political advancement, thus bringing him to our attention, while Luis remains mostly under the radar. The Solana's respectively have maintained a family tradition, and no matter how much Javier wishes to rewrite history (probably due to the fact that we have become wise to early theosophy), his work and how he puts himself forward shows beyond a doubt that he is a product of his past.

I do find it extremely interesting that Salvador was a forerunner to SO MANY of the modern arms of what we have come to know. In light of this, it also brings a new understanding to what someone may have been refering to when they claimed Javier was the perfect embodiment of global governance, as it does appear to be in his blood.

    Gov't = caretaker, parent = babysitter
Charlie Butts - OneNewsNow - 6/5/2010 4:20:00 AMBookmark and Share

The Senate is expected to take up the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The effort is a dangerous treaty for the family, according to pediatrician Rosemary Stein of Burlington, North Carolina, and a spokesperson for the Christian Medical Association (CMA).

"It takes away the parents' rights to rear their child and gives it to the government," she explains. "The government becomes the caretaker and the guardian, and the parent becomes the babysitter. Another way to define it would be 'the government takeover of our children.'"

If the contract is enforced, the government would have the right to intercede or supersede if officials believe the parents are doing something that is not in the best interest of the child. An example of this comes from Germany, where the government has passed laws that ban parents from homeschooling their children.

"I didn't know that it was this insidious, and at the same time, this overwhelming," Stein laments. "It goes over everything -- what you teach them, what you do with them [and] how they're reared."

The CMA spokesman predicts this will change society from the bottom up. For instance, a 16-year-old girl in Great Britain asked her parents to let her boyfriend move in and share her bedroom. When the parents said no, the teen filed suit and won.

It is not known when the U.S. Senate will try to ratify the treaty, so Dr. Stein says people need to start contacting their senators to voice their views.
    End of article.

UN Convention on the Rights of the Child – A Threat to Parental Rights

The UN Treaty on Children’s Rights seems to be designed to destroy parental rights. According to Michael Farris, chairman/lawyer of HSLDA, the Home School Legal Defense Association, the Obama administration may seal our fate by accepting this treaty, giving more rights to children than to parents. When all parental decisions are subject to being reviewed by the state, we may be prevented from homeschooling, training our children in our religion of choice, or discipline. I can already imagine kids (especially teenagers) using this treaty to complain about being grounded or otherwise disciplined.

HSLDA is a Christian homeschooling organization. Though I’ve never been a Christian, HSLDA won a place in my heart for pursuing limitations on CPS investigators’ actions, forcing them to honor our 4th Amendment rights. HSLDA also recommends and pursues independent homeschooling rights which are vital to the well-being of the homeschooling movement, because independent homeschooling allows children to learn in freedom rather than be molded into conformity by state government school laws. Conformity destroys initiative, innovation, and imagination.

This treaty has already been accepted by every country in the UN except the United States and Somalia.

Michael Farris is also the president of ParentalRights.Org, where an article lists Twenty Things You Need To Know about the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC or simply, CRC.)

Go to the link. When will you get excited enough to fight back? You have turned your children over to the school system unless you home school. As parents or grandparents, aunts or uncles, if you care little about the New Age movement, at least protect your family members.

That was indeed an interesting article. I don't know why Sarkozy is being so cocky. It would seem to me that in many ways France needs Germany a lot more than Germany needs France.

IMHO, the Franco-German led EU appears to be gradually and undemocratically imposing what has already been referred to as the "cultural totalitarianism" of the 21st century.

Of course, this begs the question as to which "culture" will ultimately prevail - and whether or not it will take another World War in order to learn the answer?

I don't think Sarkozy knows how to be anything but arrogant, the man doesn't know the definition of humble.

A question for you. He seems to be pushing for economic governance while Merkel is opposed to such. Now, he is not the only one pushing for this whether it be other figures openly, or more of a hidden agenda. This economic governance issue with the EU could certainly end up being a global issue which looks like it may fit right in with prophecy. How long can Merkel hold out? Where will she end up in all of this as the one opposing?

They would appear to be trying to get control of as many energy resources as possible not only in their own country,( where they may re-nationalize them as Hugo Chavez has done in Venezuela) but also abroad - in order to get as many countries as energy-dependent upon them as possible. For example:

Here are a couple of reviews of COMRADE J to give you an idea of what the book has to say about "reformed" Russia's intentions toward the good old U.S. of A.

And just to keep things fair, I am even going to quote NPR.

Book Details the Defection of 'Comrade J'

    January 28, 2008

Sergei Tretyakov was an operative of the KGB, the former Soviet intelligence service. When the Soviet Union dissolved, the agency changed its name, but its mission remained the same.

Tretyakov was nominally a press officer at the Russian mission to the United Nations in New York. In reality, he was running a number of intelligence agents who, in turn, were trying to get information out of Americans and others at the U.N.

In 2000, Tretyakov became one of the highest-ranking Russian spies ever to defect to the United States.

Four years later — with both FBI and CIA agents present — he met with Pete Earley, the author of books about several Americans who had spied for Russia.

The result of their meeting is Earley's book, Comrade J, the story of Tretyakov's career.

Tretyakov says he sees the book as a kind of "wake-up call" for Americans.

"Americans are a little bit naive when they say, '[The] Cold War is over, and right now, we can relax.' [That's] not the case for intelligence [work]," he tells Robert Siegel.

Just as in the Soviet era, Russia's main targets remain the United States, NATO and China.

Tretyakov and Earley discuss the Russian's contacts and espionage work in New York and Ottawa: Tretyakov brought the U.S. more than 5,000 top-secret Russian cables and exposed Russian spy operations in New York

In 1991, the Soviet Union collapsed, the Cold War officially ended, and a new world order began. We thought everything had changed. But one thing never did: the spies. From 1995 until 2000, a man known as “Comrade J” directed all Russian spy action in New York and oversaw all covert operations against the U.S. and its allies. He recruited spies, planted Russian agents, penetrated U.N. and U.S. security, and manipulated events that influenced American policy, under the direct leadership of Boris Yeltsin and Vladimir Putin. He was a legend, the man who guarded Russia’s secrets – secrets that he never revealed.....until now. Based on exclusive interviews with Russian spymaster and double agent, Sergei Tretyakov, Comrade J exposes how the “new” Russia continues to spy and undermine the U.S.

"The statement issued by the Upper House said Israeli actions are a clear challenge to international laws, calling on the international community and organisations to shoulder their responsibilities to force Israel to comply with international legitimacy principles.
The Senate also called for halting the Israeli crime against Palestinians and for ending the blockade on the Gaza Strip.
Also on Monday, the visiting European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Stefan Füle expressed the EU’s condemnation for the Israeli attack on the Gaza Freedom Flotilla.
During a joint press briefing with Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Jafar Hassan in Amman, Füle called for investigating the incident saying: “We are against any use of excessive force.”
“We are aware of the situation in the Middle East and we hope to bring things back to the negotiations table,” he added, noting that the EU condemns any attack that targets civilians and will maintain such position.
The European official is on a two-day visit to Amman, during which he met with several senior officials and discussed means to enhance relations between Jordan and the European Union."

"The Euro-Mediterranean Civil Forum has agreed to ask the leaders of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) to demand that Israel “respect international resolutions to put an end to the occupation and colonisation of Palestine”, a press release from the Spanish EU Presidency has said.

"The forum’s final document contains other recommendations encouraging the promotion of equality between individuals – in particular between men and women – and between the region’s states. The recommendations will be presented to the UfM summit, which is taking place on 7 June in Barcelona.

"The final declaration states that the progress of democracy, in particular in the Southern Mediterranean, “requires an end to the conflicts which hinder the region’s stability”, most especially the Middle East conflict.

"Another central issue of the three-day meeting, in which some 250 people took part, was equality, both between men and women and between individuals of different origins and conditions, such as between the 43 countries that make up the UfM.
"The forum recommends “promoting equality between men and women in all of the European Union’s foreign policy, as well as in the action plans of the European Neighbourhood Policy, the review and suspension clauses of the Association Agreements and in the UfM’s programmes and projects.”

"It also emphasises the importance of applying mechanisms to ensure that all commitments with regard to human rights, good governance and democracy are respected in the UfM countries.

"The Euromed Civil Forum is a non-institutional initiative of organizations from the Euro-Mediterranean civil society. It is organised around the Euromed Non-Governmental Platform, composed by thematic networks at regional, subregional and local, NGOs level in the Euromed field.

BRUSSELS READY TO SUPPORT RUSSIA'S MODERNIZATION PROGRAM

    June 6, 2010

Following the conclusion of the 25th summit between Russia and the European Union in Rostov-on-Don, Russia, on 1 June a joint statement said the Partnership for Modernization, a bilateral agreement on the protection of classified information and a declaration condemning Israel’s attack on a Gaza-bound international aid flotilla were among the issues discussed at the summit.
At a post-summit press conference, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, European Council President Herman van Rompuy and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso all hailed the summit. “In a world in which peoples and economies are ever more closely connected and interdependent, modernizing our economies and societies becomes ever more important and necessary,” said the statement.
The Partnership for Modernization which is currently under negotiation, will serve as “a flexible framework for promoting reform, enhancing growth and raising competitiveness,” it said. The new initiative will also build on results achieved in the context of the four EU-Russia common spaces.
The EU is ready to support Medvedev’s plan to modernize Russia, Van Rompuy said. “The modernization of Russia has to become reality,” Van Rompuy told a joint news conference at the end of the two-day EU-Russia summit. The EU leadership pledged to provide Russia with money to reform its judiciary and fight corruption, in the context of the modernization scheme.
The Kremlin is also eager for EU investment and technology know-how in modernizing Russia’s economy after the crisis showed up its dependence on oil and gas exports...

Everything about islam is anti Christ.

was so dedicated to peace that he

    kill him.
    The kuran preaches violence.
    Jesus preached and practiced a
    superhuman forgiveness and

I know, Constance, the founders of
the New Age Movement have been
    intentionally pitting the three
    major religions of Judaism,
    Christianity and Islam off
    against themselves with the
    intention of ruining all three.
That's true, but Islam is the
    AntiChrist, I feel certain.

I would like to respectfully present one issue for your consideration.

In the article for which you provided a link, Meister Ekhart is portrayed along with others in the following terms:

At the end of the Middle Ages, the Church had fallen into a
dead formalism that ushered in the Great Reformation. Many
Roman Catholic Priests, some long forgotten, Eckhart, Tauler,
Rokycana, Briconnet, Huss and the rest, were used of God to
begin a great spiritual revival. At the time, every one of those early
evangelists was considered a radical cultist by the established church. Those excommunicate priests taught fanatically
"heretical" doctrinal systems like salvation "by grace through
faith," believer baptism and communion of both bread and cup for
all believers. New converts followed those "left wing extremist"
elder brethren, supporting their "heretical" positions, and almost
before you knew it, those reformation groups became new
    denominations.

    http://www.beholdthebeast.com/the_
    great_detective.htm
    _______________________________

With regard to the aforementioned "heretical doctrines," the unorthodox teachings, that Meister Eckhart - a 14th-century Christian NeoPlatonist - was suspected of was the heresy of pantheism.

In fact, one of Eckharet's most famous statements was “The eye through which I see God is the very eye through which God sees me,” and is quoted in hundreds of contemporary spiritual books.

This is the kind of statement that, at the height of his teaching career, caused the Papacy to ban his writings as heretical.

Tried for heresy in the final years of his life, Eckhart disappeared from the public arena before the papal verdict and was suspected by some of continuing his "ministry" in anonymity.

The 19th century philosopher Schopenhauer compared Eckhart's views to the teachings of Indian, Christian, and Islamic mystics and ascetics:

"If we turn from the forms, produced by external circumstances, and go to the root of things, we shall find that Sakyamuni (a.k.a. Gautama Buddha) and Meister Eckhart teach the same thing; only that the former dared to express his ideas plainly and positively, whereas Eckhart is obliged to clothe them in the garment of the Christian myth, and to adapt his expressions thereto."

    ______________________________

As we all know, Matthew Fox is an excommunicated Dominican priest who hired the self - professed witch named Starhawk to teach at a Catholic college.

The following article is from the Catholic EWTN website:

WOMAN CHURCH, WITCHCRAFT, AND THE GODDESS
    Fr. Matthew Fox

In her book "A Planned Deception," Constance Cumbey wrote a chapter entitled "The Incredible Heresies of Father Matthew Fox." She related her experience of hearing Matthew Fox address parish leaders in a talk sponsored by the Liturgy Committee of the Archdiocese of Detroit:

He shamelessly committed public blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, by telling an impressionable audience well under the spell of his hypnotic powers that the Holy Spirit was demanding they adopt wicca (witchcraft), shamanism, and goddess worship. Hundreds of well dressed parish leaders and nuns listened to him in trance-like rapture. They appeared to adore Matthew Fox! One distinguished looking CCD teacher proudly told me that he had taught St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Augustine for 30 years. "That was" he said "a waste of time. I wish I had been teaching Father Matthew Fox!"[3]

As with all orthodox New Agers, Fox insists that sin consists in the failure to embrace the New Age, the age of Aquarius. He warns in "Whee! We, wee All the Way Home.. A Guide to a Sensual, Prophetic Spirituality":

One tradition that offers us a glimpse into our own futures ... is the astrological tradition...

    P.S.

If Matthew Fox has any historical reference point it is in the person of the 14th century German mystic, Meister Eckhart.

Eckhart was born around 1260 A.D. entering the Dominican order while a youth. A popular speaker, his pantheistic ideas strongly identified God with his creation. Eckhart has been hailed as a forerunner to Theosophists, Nazis and Pantheists. Hindus regard him as a "kindred spirit."[15] He felt that a God "out there" was unfathomable. Evelyn Underhill, in her book "The Mystics of the Church," wrote that Eckhart had "a tendency to exile God from His creation; and led him to set up a sharp distinction between the Absolute and unconditioned Godhead, "unknown and never to be known," and the God of religious experience. This separation is fundamental to Eckhart's thought....

[T]his leaning to transcendental speculation, land[ed] him at last in a monism which...can hardly be reconciled with Christianity."[16]

Eckhart saw a unity between God and man and he tended to see Jesus as the first human to realize that unity. Many of his ideas can be taken in more than one sense. The result is that one meaning may be insightful while the second meaning is solidly heretical. In one of his sermons he said, "If God's being is my being, then God's existence must be my existence and His essence my essence...." In another he said, "...the Holy Spirit receives his being...from me as from God."[17]

It was his radical ideas combined with his popularity that eventually brought him into conflict with the local authorities. Near the end of his life in 1326, he was cited for heresy by a hostile tribunal in his native Germany. Eckhart appealed to the pope for an unbiased hearing. He agreed to repudiate any teachings which were found to be heretical, but died before his case was decided.

In 1329, the year after his death, 17 of his propositions were condemned as heretical in the bull ("In Agro Dominico") of Pope John XII. It was declared that he had been deceived "by the father of lies who often appears as an angel of light" into "sowing thorns and thistles amongst the faithful and even the simple folk."[18] Another eleven statements were considered rash and dangerous but capable of being interpreted in an orthodox manner. His willingness to submit to the Church's authority was reflected in the edict, which stated that Eckhart,

"at the end of his life, professed the Catholic faith, revoked and even condemned the...26 articles, which he admitted having preached [as well as] all other matters written or taught by him, either in the schools or in sermons, that might create in the minds of the faithful an heretical or erroneous impression and one hostile to the true faith."[19]

While the German mystic himself was willing to repudiate his teachings, Meister Eckhart's admirers have not. His unorthodox ideas and speculations have grown in popularity in recent years and have found their most ardent proponent in Matthew Fox. He gives Eckhart the second-highest score on his one-to-five scale of creation-centeredness. More important, Fox has taken Eckhart's condemned teachings and given them his own concrete meanings. Fox quotes Eckhart declaring, "You may call God love; you may call God goodness; but the best name for God is Compassion."[20] Such a statement may not be heretical, depending on the meaning one gives to it. In Father Fox's dictionary, it has the most corrupt meaning possible: witchcraft....

"There's a unique stained-glass installation dense with Masonic references, including the "Eye of Providence" that is familiar because it's also on the $1 bill...."

For your next fun night out, go to the local cemetery. Don't let those old scary movies stop you.

Your observation is not without significance; remember "Blue Oyster Cult?"

  90. We seem to have come to a fork in the road people. How is this going to affect you and your loved ones, and which path will you take?

Decisions will have to be made. Is Christ your Lord and Saviour?

Is the United Nations your lord who must be obeyed? There is much New Age stuff right thru all UN documents...... Agenda 21 / Earth Charter / Green Movement / Climate Change etc etc etc

What will you teach your children about all of this? They are not too young to have it explained to them – or will you simply leave it to their school educators and the news media to corrupt their delicate minds and souls?
