Back in 1999, I was feeling as though perhaps I was reading too much into things and seeing things where none existed. I had been heavily researching Javier Solana de Madariaga since discovering him on the early morning of November 22, 1995. This was during the 10 days of November 1995 that Solana rose from comparative obscurity as a mere European cabinet minister -- one of many -- to rapid worldwide prominence as head of NATO. The promotion was deemed astonishing by the press in those days because Javier Solana had been a confirmed active Marxist in the early 1980s. He had been best known for haranguing crowds in those days with the chant, "We are radically opposed to NATO," referring to his opposition to Spain's proposed entry into that military alliance.
In 1999, Javier Solana would be given exclusive military authority over NATO's military operations, most unusual powers for a job usually ministerial in scope and authority -- a job where he was normally to receive directions and orders from the NATO member countries and then pass same on to his military men. Solana was given the military authority to make the decisions on his own on January 30, 1999. President Clinton would proclaim on American television on March 21, 1999, "I agree with Javier Solana's decision to do this." He was referring to Solana's orders to bomb the former Yugoslavia and hits capital city Belgrade in retaliation for Serbian recalcitrance in handing over their Serbian Orthodox Church center of Kosovo to Albanian interests.
I then noted that the scope of military power accorded Solana was unusual and communicated my thoughts on that to many. Later that year, I would learn that Solana was leaving the NATO position a little early -- to go to Brussels and serve as the High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy of the European Union. That job was created in early December 1998 by Section 666 of the European Codified Documents. Approximately one month after leaving NATO for the new EU position which also included as serving as Secretary General of the Council of Ministers of the European Union, it was announced on or about November 20, 1999, that Javier Solana was to wear still another important hat "for one year." The Western European Union, a ten national military federation, announced they were dissolving and folding their power into the CFSP office of the EU, but for their "last year" of operation, Javier Solana would be in exclusive control. That included the title of "Secretary General of the Western European Union" in addition to his other lofty ones.
Given the obvious prophetic similarities, I began to wonder, "am I crazy? . . . am I seeing things that nobody else is seeing? . . . am I reading too much into this?"
I did an internet search one day, as I recall, in early December 1999 to see if anybody else was watching this and discovered a column by one Herb Peters, a California religious writer. I called the newspaper sponsoring the website where the article, "It is wise not to ignore Biblical prophecy" appeared. They gave me Mr. Peters' number. I telephoned him and as recorded in his book, RECOMMENDATION 666, the rest is history.
Javier Solana was expected to assume the new post of High Representative under the Brussels Treaty after earlier constitutional ratification attempts were defeated by EU voters at the polls in France and Holland. A salary was set for the office which made it the highest paid political office salary in the world. He had already been voted by the Council of Ministers to be the designated new and powerful "Foreign Minister" for A subsequent attempt to put similar measures into place with the "LISBON TREATY" was rebuffed by Irish voters. It was clear from much of the Irish press that there were justifiable fears of the considerable powers being handed Dr. Solana. Shortly before a second Irish referendum was held, Dr. Solana made a surprise announcement that he would be retiring in October before any new treaty (the Irish referendum had not yet been held). It was expected that there would be jockeying for the position, but as it turned out, every well qualified aspirant decided they did not want the job. A relative political unknown, Catherine Ashton, a European Socialist who had an appointed position to the British House of Lords was surprised by being told the job was hers.
The migraine headaches she must have received for the stresses of taking that job more than justify the salary -- a salary that was obviously set for Dr. Solana's benefit and not her own. Those of us watching this scene closely believed that Solana was planning a comeback or had better plans with larger organizations than the European Union. Since leaving office, he has continued running his Grandfather/"Great Uncle"/Distant Cousin (whatever)'s Madariaga Foundation. He also has been appointed to numerous prominent boards and offices including but not limited to the Brookings Institution, Trilateral Commission, and ESADE. He was before his "retirement" and continues to be one of the most influential voices on "global governance."
Recent coverage continues to praise Solana's talents in diplomacy and in effect laments his apparent absence:
No wonder that Javier Solana’s role as the West’s envoy to Iran won him many fans among Democrats and moderate Republicans. His part inpreventing a meltdown was arguably a greater contribution to security than all the EU’s peace operations combined.
"Obama maintains the idea of service to a historical mission for the US: the important job of guaranteeing global security. But, unlike his White House predecessors, Obama's National Security Strategy recognises the value of partnerships; attaches greater importance to the civilian dimension as opposed to the military; and stresses the value of dialogue and the need to reinforce international institutions.
"This is a good sign for a world with different power centers and interests, with resources and legitimacy remaining tied to the nation-state, but in which challenges (climate change, armed conflicts, pandemics, and transnational crime) are global and, therefore, require cooperation among states. We are in a transition period: international interconnection is increasing, as the global economic crisis has shown, but the management tools and mechanisms to guarantee the smooth operation of governments are still not being shared. Obama's new National Security Strategy shows a political willingness to back an international order able to tackle these challenges.
"The road ahead is not free of difficulties, but the [Obama] Strategy represents a decisive step towards solving the challenges of the 21st Century and preparing us for the world of tomorrow.
"*JAVIER SOLANA the European Union's former High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy, and a former Secretary General of NATO, is President of the ESADE Center for Global Economy and Geopolitics.
I fear that many have gone back to sleep on the important global governance catalyst who happens to be named "Javier Solana." I discovered the other night that there is an important website that has been doing a yeoman's job of ferreting out information and passing it on to us in the context of its obvious prophetic implications. That website is called "www.borntowatch.com". It is my honor to interview tonight on my radio program one of the two brave men running this website.

Turkey launched a plan Wednesday night (June 16) to campaign on all fronts for a worldwide boycott of Israel and decided to introduce sanctions leading to the severance of bilateral relations. Its pretext was the absence of a formal apology from Jerusalem for the naval commando raid on the Turkish ship Mavi Marmara ("Blue Marmara"), which left 8 activists dead, and its rejection of an international inquiry of the incident.
In Washington, early Thursday morning (June 17), Democratic and Republican members of Congress announced at a press conference that there would be price to pay if Ankara continued its hate campaign against Israel and tight ties with Tehran. . . .

ReplyDeleteMEDVEDEV SEES CHANCE FOR NEW WORLD ORDER...
Dmitry Medvedev, the Russian president, said Moscow was bidding to help lead efforts to build a new world economic order after the old system collapsed in the global financial crisis.
Opening Russia’s annual economic forum in St Petersburg where hundreds of global chief executives have flocked, Mr Medvedev said the renewed interest in Russia this year was a sign of a changing world in which the institutions of the western-dominated world order had had their day amid thousands of corporate defaults and the threat of sovereign defaults.
“What had seemed untouchable has collapsed. The bubbles that created the illusion of flourishing economies have burst,” Mr Medvedev said. “For Russia this situation is a challenge and an opportunity. We are living in a unique time. And we should use it to build a modern, flourishing and strong Russia ... which will be a co-founder of the new world economic order and a full participant in the collective political leadership of the post-crisis world.”
Mr Medvedev insisted “Russia has changed” in the past year as it sought to pursue a course of “smart politics” that would leverage its competitive advantages in the raw materials sector, while shifting emphasis towards modernising the economy and focusing on boosting innovation over resources.
Acknowledging that the country still had a great deal to do to meet these aims, Mr Medvedev laid out a series of new initiatives that aim to boost its attractiveness as an investment destination. “Russia needs a real investment boom”, in order to achieve its modernisation goals, he said. To stimulate that, Mr Medvedev announced Moscow would introduce zero taxation on capital gains for companies working on long-term investments starting from January next year and said Russia was improving the legal system to provide better protection for businesses against the long arm of bureaucracy.
He added Russia had already simplified migration procedures to help attract “highly-qualified specialists” working in investment and high-tech sectors into the country.
Responding to criticism that Russia’s approach to building an innovation economy was driven from the top down and state interference could hinder development, Mr Medvedev said the state would concentrate its efforts on fostering a good business climate. “No matter how many state-owned companies we have, modernization will happen, above all, through private business. And only if there is competition,” he said. “The state should not tear down the apples from the tree of economics. What the government should do is help grow our apple orchard, develop our economic environment.”
Mr Medvedev said he was cutting the list of strategic enterprises five fold in order to reduce the role of the state in the economy and foster more private initiatives.

...The Iranian nuclear programme has undoubtedly reached a significant level of development. Even though Tehran strongly denies it has any military purposes, the existence of a clandestine military programme alongside the civil one appears to be evident. Moreover the dual-use of a great part of the technologies used could be exploited in order to develop secret activities for the construction of atomic devices.
For the development of its nuclear programme Iran benefited from the supply of dual-use technologies by Russian and Chinese companies. With this support Iran created the technical infrastructure necessary for the enrichment of uranium and plutonium. The principal factories of the Iranian nuclear infrastructure are: the complex of Saghand (activities related to extracting uranium), Ardekan (for the mineral’s treatment and the production of uranium oxide), Isfahan (where uranium oxide is converted into uranium hexafluoride) and the Natane plant. According to the level of enrichment uranium can be used for power plants or creating nuclear devices.....read entire article...

ReplyDeleteREPORT: U.S., Israeli warships cross Suez Canal toward Red Sea
Egypt opposition angered at government for allowing the fleet of more than 12 ships to cross Egyptian manned waterway, Al-Quds Al-Arabi reports.
More than twelve United States Naval warships and at least one Israeli ship crossed the Suez Canal towards the Red Sea on Friday, British Arabic Language newspaper Al-Quds Al-Arabi reported Saturday.
According to the report, thousands of Egyptian soldiers were deployed along the Suez Canal guarding the ships' passage, which included a U.S. aircraft carrier.
The Suez Canal is a strategic Egyptian waterway which connects between the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea.
According to eyewitnesses, the U.S. battleships were the largest to have crossed the Canal in many years, Al-Quds reported.
Egyptian opposition members have criticized the government for cooperating with the U.S. and Israeli forces and allowing the ships' passage through Egyptian territorial waters.
They said they viewed the event as Egyptian participation in an international scandal, and added that the opposition would not sit with its arms crossed while the country allowed a fleet of U.S. and Israeli military ships to cross.

Napolitano: Internet Monitoring Needed to Fight Homegrown Terrorism
ReplyDeleteWASHINGTON -- Fighting homegrown terrorism by monitoring Internet communications is a civil liberties trade-off the U.S. government must make to beef up national security, the nation's homeland security chief said Friday.
As terrorists increasingly recruit U.S. citizens, the government needs to constantly balance Americans' civil rights and privacy with the need to keep people safe, said Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.
But finding that balance has become more complex as homegrown terrorists have used the Internet to reach out to extremists abroad for inspiration and training. Those contacts have spurred a recent rash of U.S.-based terror plots and incidents.
"The First Amendment protects radical opinions, but we need the legal tools to do things like monitor the recruitment of terrorists via the Internet," Napolitano told a gathering of the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy.
Napolitano's comments suggest an effort by the Obama administration to reach out to its more liberal, Democratic constituencies to assuage fears that terrorist worries will lead to the erosion of civil rights.

Perhaps the idea that North Korea sabotaged the oil rig is not as far fetched as first thought. The rig itself was owned by Transocean and was built and financed by South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd., which leads many to think about a North Korean attack. Susanna left a link about a week or so ago from the European Union Times saying just that. JD and Constance said the source was not reliable. Yet as more information comes to light , it seems more and more likely that this could have been what happened. Here is another link with the same story:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.therightperspective.org/2010/05/02/did-north-korea-torpedo-oil-rig-in-us-gulf/
If Obama has ordered SWAT teams to the other rigs (as reported) to protect them and now there is Sen. Lieberman preparing us for an Internet "Kill", then this really is starting to make sense. The north Koreans have been engaging the US in a cyber war with the US since last July 4th, probably to test the US gov't computers hackability. (probably not a word). So if the gov't suspects another attack could be on the way, maybe on July 4th of this year, it is getting Senator Joe to put this bill out, while everyone is watching the world cup and not giving a hoot as usual. Remember that the rig didn't actually sink until April 22nd, which was Earth Day. A coincidence? I'm not too sure any of this is a coincidence now. On board the rig they were celebrating 7 years of safety passes just hours before the rig exploded. This all can't be coincidence. There is sabotage somewhere, but the North Korea idea makes the most sense. And leave it to Russia to deliberately break the story to stir up trouble.
Double, double oil and trouble;
Fire burn, and caldron bubble.
OOps... i meant to say toil and trouble. Susanna will appreciate the quote from Mac Beth, I'm guessing;0)
If all this is true, Obama is in a tough place, and we need to pray hard for our country and its people and resources. It's actually the only thing that makes much sense in light of how this whole tragedy has been playing out, but do we really want to get into a war with North Korea and the rest of the communists? Man , this really could be Armageddon with a capital A!

And since there is such a large market for the truth (which is why there are so many alternative websites), and it is so easy for anyone to be an expert on the internet, I would expect that there are even MORE disinformation agents on the internet than in our government. At least government employees have a name and a past and can be tied to reality somehow and researched. NORTH KOREA CLAIMS SOUTH KOREA/U.S. FABRICATED SHIP SINKING

North Korean ambassador to the UN has cast doubts on the credibility of the international group that investigated the sinking of South Korean warship
Anjali Sharma
The Statesman (06/17/10)
North Korean ambassador to the UN Sin Son Ho has firmly rejected charges that his country was responsible for the sinking of the South Korean warship Cheonan, in a press conference in New York on Tuesday (Wednesday, June 16 in Asia).
Ambassador Sin warned that Pyongyang would respond militarily to any Security Council condemnation over the sinking of the South Korea vessel, which Seoul blamed on North Korea.
Sin cast doubts on the credibility of international Joint
Investigation Group, by South Korea branding its findings “a complete fabrication from A to Z”.
He declared that he wished to “further clarify” his country’s position on the sinking of the Cheonan.
He stressed that group’s findings were neither scientific nor objective, as claimed by both the South Korea and the United States.
Sin added that the material evidence they had presented raised many doubts even inside South Korea, and its ally US and around the world.
He said that the attribution of responsibility for the sinking to his country was a farce concocted by the US and the South Korea for political purposes.

EU Intergovernmental Conference on Wednesday
Usually, Intergovernmental Conferences to change the EU Treaties receive quite some attention of the continent.
This time, it is different:
Almost unnoticed, the Spanish EU-Council Presidency has invited to an Intergovernmental Conference on the level of Permanent Representatives (that is, the ambassadors of the EU member states) for next Wednesday, 23 June 2010, to agree on the changing of the EU Treaties to allow 18 new members of the European Parliament to officially take part in the EP's work.
The exact distribution of these 18 can be found in the respective additional protocol laid out in European Council document EUCO 11/10 (page 11).
Since this will be a Treaty change, all EU member countries will need to ratify it according to their national procedures.

I have no prof of all this but I believe the mastermind behing this whole BP disaster is nonw other than ultraliberal msnbc commentater Rachel Madow. She needs to get her ratings up and she is pushing her gay agenda.
ReplyDeleteThe Madow speculation does not sound plausible to me, much as I find her distasteful; HOWEVER, the CAP & TRADE one does.

To those who are trying to discern and separate the wheat from the chaff...
ReplyDeleteOne question we ALL need to ask is how did a fire on a drilling rig manage to cause damage to the actual sea bed or floor at the BOTTOM of the Gulf of Mexico???
On June 7th, Senator Bill Nelson told MSNBC that he's investigating reports of oil seeping up from additional leak points on the seafloor:
ReplyDeleteSenator Bill Nelson (D-FL): Andrea we’re looking into something new right now, that there’s reports of oil that’s seeping up from the seabed… which would indicate, if that’s true, that the well casing itself is actually pierced… underneath the seabed. So, you know, the problems could be just enormous with what we’re facing.
Andrea Mitchell, MSNBC: Now let me understand better what you’re saying. If that is true that it is coming up form that seabed, even the relief well won’t be the final solution to cap this thing. That means that we’ve got oil gushing up at disparate places along the ocean floor.
Sen. Nelson: That is possible, unless you get the plug down low enough, below where the pipe would be breached.

ReplyDeleteLOL!!! Your post and your all too relevant Macbeth quote are truly appreciated. :-)
Moreover, I have said it before and I will say it again.....watch Russia!
This is not to dismiss the Javier Solana influence.....no siree Bob....not by any means. Solana and his "new best friend" Strobe Talbott have been gallavanting around all over Russia and its former - and perhaps presently - enslaved states and satellites looking to make deals that include energy negotiations.
This is especially significant if Russia once more gains a monopoly on gas and oil production by re-nationalizing all its mineral resources as Chavez has reportedly done in Venezuela. ( Interesting that Bob Dudley is taking over the BP crisis given his history in Russia!!!)
The latest is that Russia is looking to make the ruble one of the global default currencies. I wonder if the aforementioned discussions incleded the status of the ruble.
Hmmmmm
P.S. IMHO, if it turns out that North Korea were somehow involved in the Deepwater Horizon disaster, I believe it would be as a surrogate of another Communist country......one that might even offer to "come to the rescue."
Like China perhaps?
ReplyDeleteAlso, there is no way we're going to retaliate against North Korea.

ReplyDeleteA portion of CNN article today:
ReplyDelete"Meanwhile, oil recovery efforts in the Gulf resumed Saturday morning on the drill ship Discoverer Enterprise, after work was suspended for about 10 hours because of a mechanical problem.
A venting device aboard the drilling ship as not working properly, said Ayla Kelley, spokesperson for the Deepwater Horizon command center.
Other recovery efforts continued during the time that the Discoverer Enterprise was idled, she said.
She said the problem was with a blocked flame arrester, designed to prevent oil from combusting by extinguishing the flame."

I do think the Maddow comment was absurd, though the response about her in a dinghy with a crate full of ACME TNT did tickle me a little. Though I currently live in Michigan, I am from south Florida. I have many friends and family who still are there and on that end this situation is not funny. That being said, a little levity doesn't hurt anyone. It can be easier to deal with things through humor than to have to constantly deal with something with a grim outlook. I have dealt with more than my share of disasters, and watched friends lose everything they had. I can also attest that some of the funniest comments I have ever heard came from those very people looking for a way to deal with the situation without breaking.
ReplyDeleteI KNOW it is hard to deal with disaster, but lets try not to tear into one another when we have no idea what anothers situation is. At the same time, there are obviously some reading here who are under a over whelming amount of stress due to this situation. We can't forget when trying to add levity to let those here know they are in our prayers, as they are certainly in mine.

ReplyDeleteEgypt oil spill threatens Red Sea marine life
CAIRO (AFP) – An oil spill off the Egyptian Red Sea coast of Hurghada threatening to damage marine life in the area has prompted environmental agencies to demand tighter regulation of offshore oil platforms.
Large quantities of oil have appeared in recent days around the resorts of Hurghada which draw millions of tourists who come to dive or snorkle, according to the Hurghada Environmental Protection and Conservation Agency.
"It started four or five days ago and the companies responsible didn't notify anyone. It is catastrophic," HEPCA Managing Director Amr Ali told AFP.
The spill was caused by leakage from an offshore oil platform north of Hurghada and has polluted protected areas and showed up on tourist beach resorts.
"The companies have said they will pay damages, but it is the environmental damage that we are concerned about," Ali said, declining to name the companies for legal reasons.
"We will take all measures, including legal, to make sure this does not happen again," he said.
HEPCA's warning comes amid ongoing efforts to contain the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico which has already damaged fragile ecosystems along the US south coast and halted the region's multi-billion-dollar fishing industry.
HEPCA, a non-governmental organisation based in Hurghada, has been working for the protection of natural resources in the Red Sea.
Egypt's environment and tourism ministries said the oil spill was contained and that measures were being taken to "deal with the pollution caused by the spill," the official MENA news agency reported.
Authorities protective of the lucrative tourism industry were eager to resolve the matter quickly. Both the Environment Minister Maged George and Petroleum Minister Sameh Fahmy visited the area of the spill on Saturday.
But HEPCA says it was too little too late.
"Visits won't help. We would like to see a clearer plan of action on the ground," Ali said.
"We would also like to see more stringent standards imposed on these offshore platforms to ensure natural areas are protected," he said.

ReplyDeleteThe fact that an Intergovernmental Conference is being called for rather than a "time-consuming Convention" sounds to me like the EU elite is trying to do yet another end run around the democratic process!
And who will stand to benefit most after the 18 new members of the European Parliament are officially installed???
The report from the European Parliament site reads thus:
The number of MEPs needs to be increased because the June European Parliament elections were held under the rules of the Nice Treaty, which sets the number of MEPs at 736, while the new Lisbon Treaty, which entered into force on 1st December 2009, allows 751 seats.
But here is where the report gets really interesting
Treaty change necessary to permit 754 Members
The allocation of new seats was decided during the Lisbon treaty negotiations. Twelve countries will get to send new MEPs to Brussels and Strasbourg: Spain will get four new seats. Austria, France and Sweden will get two, while Bulgaria, Italy, Latvia, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia and the United Kingdom will all have one more MEP.
The only country to have fewer MEPs under the new treaty is Germany, which loses three seats, from 99 to 96. As all 99 current German Members will continue their mandate until the end of this legislature, the number of MEPs will temporarily rise to 754. In order for this to be possible, a treaty change is necessary.
Council has therefore made a proposal to amend the Lisbon Treaty and is now consulting Parliament. If Parliament approves the proposal, it will still need to be ratified by all 27 Member States. Meanwhile, the 18 new MEPs could be invited as observers, but Parliament has not yet made any decisions on when this might happen....read more....

Because of a couple of things I happened to notice.
For one thing, the MEP's are calling for a greater say in the economic governance of the EU.

Moreover, Spain is rumored to be the next one that is going to need a bailout - one that will make the Greek bailout look like chump change!!!
As you will recall, the German people were against the Greek bailout and they recently punished Angela Merkel at the polls for the way she handled the economic meltdown in Greece.
Why would the German people be more willing to bail out Spain - especially when they themselves are having to endure austerity measures in their own country and are being deprived of long - awaited tax cuts promised to them by their lying weasel politicians?
The EU Observer writes:
Germany is the only country set to lose seats, but the pruning of three of its MEPs will not take place before the next European elections, meaning the number of MEPs will temporary swell to 754, once all the legal hurdles have been overcome.
MEPs sitting in plenary this May are expected to endorse the constitutional committee's decision, but any treaty changes agreed at an Intergovernmental Conference would still need to be ratified in each of the EU's 27 member states, a process that could potentially take several years.
With a UK general election scheduled for 6 May, the country's Conservatives have pledged to hold a referendum on any future EU treaty changes.
A reopening of EU rules would also allow for additional changes at the same time, with Germany's Angela Merkel recently indicating her desire to toughen up the bloc's laws on budgetary spending.
http://euobserver.com/9/29822
Merkel won't be able to toughen anything up if she doesn't have the EP votes...or if she doesn't get reelected.

Thanks to Susanna and others for their updating on the European Union. I have been pondering what possible difference Parliamentary enlargement might have, given the comparative absence of power in the European Parliament vis a vis the Council of Ministers and even the European Commission (which has little enough powers in and of itself). Then, I found this explaining amending processes for the Lisbon Treaty and doing away with unanimity provisions with "qualified majority voting." This is where the extra parliamentary seats might be helpful for one aspiring to take over Europe and/or control same:
ReplyDelete"The 2009 Lisbon Treaty created two different ways for further amendments of the European Union treaties: an ordinary revision procedure which is broadly similar to the past revision process in that it involves convening an intergovernmental conference, and a simplified revision procedure whereby Part three of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, which deals with internal policy and action of the Union, could be amended by a unanimous decision of the European Council subject to ratification by all member states in the usual manner.
The Treaty also provides for the Passerelle Clause which allows the European Council to unanimously decide to replace unanimous voting in the Council of Ministers with qualified majority voting (QMV) in specified areas with the previous consent of the European Parliament, and move from a special legislative procedure to the ordinary legislative procedure. . . .

ReplyDeleteMore on the 18 new MEP's being proposed for the European Parliament.
The virtual MEPs - ludicrous waste of money
April 16, 2010
.....However, the European Parliament has agreed to grant observer status to the 18 MEPs till the Lisbon Treaty amendment is ratified and entry into force. Consequently, those MEPs would not have full MEP rights, basically, they have no right to vote in committee meetings or plenary sessions. Nevertheless, as reported by the European Parliament’s magazine they “will be entitled to annual salaries, plus tax-free allowances for every day of their time "in limbo" in Brussels” and they will be able to “claim back business class travel and staff and office allowances.” Moreover, it has been estimated that the virtual MEPs would cost taxpayers around €30m. This is another Brussels’ ludicrous waste of money.
In the meantime, the 12 Member States have to designate their future MEPs. All Member States but France have decided before the European elections on what basis their new seats would be allocated. France is planning to nominate the 2 MEPs from the 'Assemblée Nationale', however this breaches the Treaty rules whereby MEPs are elected by direct universal suffrage.....read entire article....

I've wondered about that, too, which is why the Korean torpedo theory as told by the Russians seemed to make some sense to me. On the other hand, the blow-out preventer weighs mega-tons so maybe when the rig fell on top of the BOP it crushed the well below the sea floor. I am speculating and don't understand this and haven't seen any diagrams coming out of our puppet media, so I just don't know. Maybe JD who mentioned having some well experience could shed some light on this?
By the way, JD, thanks for caring. For those of us living on the gulf coast, this is a nightmare that you can't wake up from. Hopper,
ReplyDeleteFrom what has been reported, we are told a methane bubble caused all of this damage. Inspectors reported a knock coming from the well the morning of the disaster. This is consistent with a methane bubble. Given the depth of this well, the damage of the casing, and my basic understanding of the situation, a methane bubble could be a plausible culprit.
As methane rises it expands. A steel pipe would constrict the bubbles ability to do so. At first this would sound like a knock coming from the well. As the bubble progressed up the pipe it would cause vibrations and then immense shaking of the well pipe as the bubble expanded within it's confined environment. This shaking and vibration would have caused a ton of stress on a rigid steel pipe and the weakest part of the pipes structure, the welds. As the pipe shook it is not implausible that these welds in the casing failed below the surface. In this situation it actually makes perfect sense as the pipe itself was braced by the sea floor, thus leaving the energy to escape from the weakest point.
By the time the methane reached the platform, the vibrations would have heated the gas. Leaving only one thing left necessary for the story to fit, a spark. This could have happened with any metal on metal collision when the mechanisms at the top of the rig came apart, or if anyone in the area was smoking, or any other number of ways.
All of that said, this does not mean that this incident was a accident. Casing failure most likely would have been prevented had the casing been properly encased in concrete. Which we know it wasn't. Methane pockets of this size could have been avoided had this rig not been drilling at a unprecedented depth. Complete failure could have been avoided had the rig foreman listened to the inspector who told him that the rig was unsafe and needed to be shut down.
This entire situation is a text book case of catastrophic oil rig failure. So much so, that I find it hard to believe that BP did not KNOW what it was doing. Not one of the typical safety measures was properly followed, the BoP that would have been the crews only means of stopping the catastrophe, failed on three separate occasions, which DOES NOT happen. No one has yet to explain why this rig was drilling at almost 30,000 feet below the sea floor, more than double the average depth and WAY beyond what one could consider a safe depth.
I don't believe this whole crisis was a accident, but I don't believe we need to reach beyond what has been admitted to, in order to find the culprit. It seems to me that they are hiding the truth in plain sight, counting on a lack of knowledge by the public to be able to hide this under. Those who understand or would know the truth on the BP side or who have been allowed access to the site are not being allowed to say anything to the public. We have also had numerous experts come forward and state that simply from what BP has admitted to, the situation is far worse and there is a probability that they knew exactly what they were doing. I doubt we'll ever get the real story out of them, not with Washington helping them bury it. So we are left with a single question, who does it benefit? With BP in bed with Maurice Strong, Al Gore, and all of the usual suspects, this should be self explanatory.

ReplyDeleteRapture. There are several scriptures pointing to a rapture. Take in mind the term "rapture" is our term and is not in the Bible, bu the idea is there. One is 2 Thessalonians 2. In the first verse we are told we will be gathered to him, not before some things happen though. 1 Corinthians 15 also speaks of the rapture. The Pre-Wrath camp believes Revelation 7:9 is the rapture. This theory believes believers are "raptured" after the 6th Seal. Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 speak of gathering His elect.
There are a few other verses as well. How do you interpret these verses? Do you see the rapture or gathering of the elect in them?

ReplyDeleteThe rapture I believe is a special blessing for those who are watching and waiting, longing for the return of their Lord.
Just like Enoch
Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and he was not found, because God had taken him. Now before he was taken he was commended as having pleased God.
So Faith is absolutely necessary to please God and not all men who believe Jesus is the Christ have faith. To have genuine faith in God you must trust him for your righteousness and be willing to do His will to the point of being willing to die for the truth. This can only be done by the strength that comes by grace through faith.
The demons believe God is who He says He is, but they do not do God's will. They are rebels and hate God's will.
2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test?
Be ready by walking closely with the Lord, spending time in His Word and knowing and doing His will so that you will receive what is promised.

ReplyDeleteI hate to allow these people to scare me, but I'm pretty freaked out right now. My son and his wife were out fishing on the Gulf yesterday in my husband's small boat. (we live in southwest FL in Venice) and they came home and mentioned a lot of "rogue" waves in the water. They said the waves came out of nowhere, and that there were no other boats anywhere near them where they were fishing that could have caused the turbulence. I wonder if this means anything?
Anon 12:48,
ReplyDeleteNot sure how far out your son would have been, but in deep water anomalous waves are not that uncommon. When I lived outside of Ft Myers, we would often fish between 5 and 10 miles out, odd waves at that distance are not that uncommon. Also given the size of the ships currently in the Gulf, and the actual pressure behind this gusher, I would imagine that odd wakes could travel extensive distances. This does not even account for large shark or other sizable fish like Tarpon that I would assume are coming into areas that they normally would not. Given that I no longer live in the area, I can't comment with certainty, but I can make a few calls this evening to friends who will know of any anomalies in that part of the Gulf.
Forgot to sign my name to the 12:48 post.
ReplyDeleteI just watched the YouTube video that is the first link that OMOTS provided, and they mentioned Chris Landau as a legitimate geologist and who is evidently a source behind much of these scare tactics and hysterics about gas bubbles and ocean floors collapsing. It was his post on OPEDNEWS that originally made me think there was more to the oil spill story than what the mainstream media was telling us.
See:
http://www.opednews.com/articles/B-P-Halliburton-and-Trans-by-Chris-Landau-100611-452.html
Landau sounds very intelligent and his claims about abiotic oil seem legitimate and believable, though most scientists disregard the theory. There is only one thing bothering me, and this is going to sound weird. He is from South Africa. As I was thinking about Agenda 21, I recalled that the Earth Summit was held at South Africa in Johannesburg in 1992. It is a city made up of SEVEN regions. The World Cup is being held there as we speak, and it is a place where many scams originate. All of the important UN summits and treaties all seem to have something in common- the number seven. The counterfeit of Christianity's number of completion. Look at Rio, Istanbul, Lisbon, Barcelona- all these cities are built on seven hills and major UN events came out of them. But I digress. Is Chris Landau a geologist that we should really listen to, or is he some sort of fear-mongering environmental agent provocateur or scam artist? I did a google search and couldn't really find anyone who seemed to be the Chris Landau that wrote the article.
Florida is just beginning to recover from a horrendous economic downtown that has left a huge part of its young, working population out of work and down-trodden. This is the last thing that we need right now.
Should I leave my home (and my son and his home that he just bought) or what? Four people, two dogs and two cats with no where to go? Or should I just have faith, as Valerie talked about (thank-you,Valerie, for that!) and just trust the Lord? Guess it's time to get down on my knees. Would appreciate any thoughts and prayers...

Where are all the "independent" oil well experts?
Why have we not heard anything from our best and brightest oceanographers and geologists?
Have all our engineers gone into hiding?
Why is all the "official" information being filtered through BP?
It is has been known for several years that the oil field out in the gulf was massive, perhaps rivaling the largest oil fields found anywhere in the world.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/5318776.stm
If tapped successfully, this massive oil discovery could have kept the "un-green" capitalist economy running for decades. Obviously, there are/were many entities that did not want to see this resource utilized. And then you have to factor in corporate greed, which, coupled with our technological arrogance, probably led to this ill fated attempt to tap into it before we were actually capable of doing so safely. And the price for such a failure is terrible.
Discernment is called for. Faith will be tested. I pray the worse case scenarios do not pan out, but if they do, we might not know about it until "too late".

Anon 9:42am:
ReplyDeleteRegarding the Rapture:
The best place to start is 1 Corinthians chapter 15. It's imperative to read the entire chapter and digest it slowly.
In it the Apostle Paul reminds us of the Gospel -- that Jesus died for our sins, was buried and was resurreced on the 3rd day [vv 3-5]. Likewise, the dead (physically dead as opposed to spiritually dead) in Christ will be raised [vv 12-23] at some in the future. The resurrection of the dead will occur and there will also be a resurrenction of the not yet dead [vv 51-52] -- "We will not all sleep" (sleep is a euphemism for physical death).
The next best reference is 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 which points out that the dead in Christ will rise first to be followed by those still alive at the time: "16 ...and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in clouds to meet the Lord in the air..." This correlates with Matthew 24:30-31, Mark 13:26-27, and Luke 21:27-28.
Further reference of the rapture is in 1 Thes 5:1-10 and 2 Thes 2:1-3. Also, as was pointed out earlier, Hebrews 11:5 speaks of Enoch's 'rapture' [see Gen 5:18-24]. In addition, Elijah was translated or raptured [2 Kings 2:10-12] and there is a mystery surrounding Moses' body [Jude 1:9; Deut 34:5-6].
In the Book of Revelation, the 'two witnesses' of chapter 11 are resurected from the dead AND THEN raptured, "11Then after the three and a half days a breath of like from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them. 12Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, 'Come up here.' And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on."

- In sending Swat teams to the Gulf, it means that we're 'open to the possibility this was not an accident.'
- 40 years ago, a river in Cleveland, Ohio caught fire on Earth Day (April 22, 1970).
- 40 years later, the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig SANK on Earth Day (April 22, 2010).

People didn't swim in the river at the time, and anyone who fell in needed to be checked by a doctor.

I am going to do my internet radio program tonight on the VALDEZ PRINCIPLES, GORDON DAVIDSON, DAVID SPANGLER, EARTH DAY, and a possible BP sacrifice to GAIA on April 22, 2010 -- EARTH DAY. CAP & TRADE is another sacrifice to 'GAIA'. There are too many 'coincidencies' or as they (New Agers) might put it: "synchronicities". Should there be a criminal investigation to see if corporate knowledge gained through the Valdez principles implementation have been used to stage a form of possible "Ecotage" to = the opportunity the New Agers need to make their 2012 prophecies appear plausible? I will be talking about this on my program tonight. I am also doing a program with Dr. Monteith 2 hours earlier on "Radio Liberty."

Constance,
ReplyDeleteThanks very much for correcting me regarding the Earth Summit. Of course I knew it was held in Rio in 1992 and not Johannesburg, South Africa, but I think I had gotten myself rather too worked up to think clearly yesterday as a result of some of the doomsday scenarios flying around, especially for Florida residents. I feel much better today;0)
Evidently, there was a UN world summit on sustainable development held in Johannesburg in 2002, whereby they renewed some commitments to Agenda21 goals. I think that I was thinking about that.See;
http://www.un.org/esa/dsd/susdevtopics/sdt_toxichemintegovedeci.shtml
I also think you've hit upon something with the "ecotage" and sacrifice to Gaia theory. Sounds almost too crazy to be true but then again I am reminded of pagans such as the Aztecs, Mayans, Incans, etc, who sacrificed humans on altars to appease the Gods of nature. And these NA people are, after all, pagans through and through.

ReplyDeleteAlso Constance has definately figured out why some Evangelical leaders back in the 1980's kept trying to silence her. I am a witness to that at the time and I think I have had some of my own questions answered. I am a graduate of Multnomah Bible College in Portland, Oregon in 1984. I had read at that time Hidden Dangers in the Rainbow and I have found to this very day that all of Constance's research has proven to be of great value and accurate. As I was a student at Multnomah I was pleased to see Constance invited to speak to us in I believe in 1982 or 1983. The following week I was disturbed as I saw an attack campaign on her research and visit by some of our professors lead by at that time a very young Dr. Dan Lockwood. It was published in our Multnomah periodical to the students. Dr. Lockwood is now the President of Multnomah. Thank you Constance for sticking with it and continually informing us believers in Jesus Christ.

Found the following comment below an article written by geologist Chris Landau, on May 3rd, regarding the oil spill. Landau's article was posted on a "Green" blog. The following comment by one of the blog's readers, illustrates very clearly that rabid environmentalists are truly evil, human-hating crazies. Constance is right on.

My most fervent hope is that all efforts to stop and mitigate this masterwork are failures. The incontinent flow of hydrocarbons shall continue for the decay of all.
I would love to see a sea of greasy Devil’s blood flowing into the ocean forever more. The spew that flew right on through.

ReplyDeleteDems won’t pass budget in 2010
House Democrats will not pass a budget blueprint in 2010, Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) will confirm in a speech on Tuesday.
But Hoyer will vow to crack down on government spending, saying Democrats will enforce spending limits that are lower than what President Barack Obama has called for.
In the scheduled address to the progressive think tank The Third Way, Hoyer will acknowledge that the lower chamber will do things differently this election year.
“It isn’t possible to debate and pass a realistic, long-term budget until we’ve considered the bipartisan commission’s deficit-reduction plan, which is expected in December,” according to Hoyer’s prepared remarks that were provided to The Hill.
The House has never failed to pass an annual budget resolution since the current budget rules were put into place in 1974. Hoyer this spring noted that the GOP-led Congress didn’t pass a final resolution in 1998, 2004 and 2006.
The House will put forth a “budget enforcement resolution” rather than a budget blueprint that looks beyond next year and calculates five or 10 years’ worth of deficit figures.

In other words they don't want to get nailed down by a number. The only foreseeable reason would be that they have upcoming projects (Immigration "Reform", Climate Legislation, Jobs Bills, Stimulus) that they don't want anyone to be able to tell them no on due to budget restraints. This is bad as it essentially guarantees that the out of control spending will only increase, that is until we hit the point where we end up like Greece, Spain, or most of the rest of the euro zone. Which many are saying is not that far. I imagine this is by design, but anyone else have thoughts they would like to add to this?

I heard this somewhere: Fox is owned by News Corp. and the second largest share holder is Prince Alwaleed bin Talal al-Saud of Saudi Arabia, through his Kingdom Holding Company, owns 7% of News Corp.'s shares, making Kingdom Holdings the second largest shareholder.
He also sponser the Alliance of Civilations.
In response to ongoing tensions between Islam and the West, then-UN Secretary General Kofi Annan constituted a High-level Group to promote the idea of an Alliance of Civilizations. Composed of twenty prominent leaders drawn from politics, academia, civil society, business, and media around the world, the High-level Group published a report in November 2006 refuting the Clash of Civilizations thesis and offering concrete recommendations for improving relations across cultural and religious divides. John Esposito, founding director of the Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding, is a member of the Group. He was joined on the panel by Shamil Idriss, acting director within the Alliance Secretariat, and Katherine Marshall, senior fellow in the Berkley Center and director of the World Faiths Development Dialogue. This event was co-sponsored by the Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding and the BMW Center for German and European Studies.
This, more than likely is the reason Glen Beck will never mention the AoC.

Living in Columbus, Ohio we are hearing about Smart Grid from our big electric utility, American Electric Power (AEP). They used to be headquartered in NEW YORK CITY but in about 1981 AEP bought our local electric utility, Columbus Southern Elec., and moved to Columbus. AEP includes utilities in about ten other states. AEP is part of the Fascism we now live under. Nearly total government control of private industry. AEP is big on the liberal agenda and the company sponsors many liberal activities and agendas. Basically, part of the NWO.

WASHINGTON, June 22 (Reuters) - Brain scans may be able to predict what you will do better than you can yourself, and might offer a powerful tool for advertisers or health officials seeking to motivate consumers, researchers said on Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteThey found a way to interpret "real time" brain images to show whether people who viewed messages about using sunscreen would actually use sunscreen during the following week.
The scans were more accurate than the volunteers were, Emily Falk and colleagues at the University of California Los Angeles reported in the Journal of Neuroscience.
"We are trying to figure out whether there is hidden wisdom that the brain contains," Falk said in a telephone interview.
"Many people 'decide' to do things, but then don't do them," Matthew Lieberman, a professor of psychology who led the study, added in a statement.
But with functional magnetic resonance imaging or fMRI, Falk and colleagues were able to go beyond good intentions to predict actual behavior.

News on the new European External Action Service of EU.
ReplyDeleteCatherine Ashton strikes deal over EU diplomatic corps; EP compromise will see her given seven deputies
22 June 2010
It is widely reported that yesterday in Madrid EU Foreign Minister Catherine Ashton managed to strike a deal with the representatives from the three main political groups in the European Parliament on the shape of the European External Action Service (EEAS) – the new EU diplomatic corps.
The EEAS will be provided with a staff of more than 6,000 people. According to the FT, the European Parliament “won language clarifying that at least 60 per cent of EEAS staff should be permanent EU officials rather than national diplomats, in an effort to ensure their first loyalty would be to the new service”. The paper also cites sources involved in the talks, explaining that under yesterday’s compromise, the EEAS’ operational budget (including €6 billion per year for development aid) will be part of the Commission’s budget, while its administrative budget will be separate.
According to EurActiv, Cathy Ashton bowed under EP pressure and accepted its calls to have the Foreign Minister of the country holding the rotating EU Presidency as her deputy. In addition, the relevant three EU Commissioners (Enlargement, Development and Humanitarian Aid) will also serve as deputies for issues under EU competence.
Cathy Ashton also managed to keep the three proposed senior Secretaries-General positions. Pierre Vimont, current French ambassador to the US, will be the main Secretary-General, with Mikolaj Dowgielewicz of Poland, and Helga Schmid of Germany serving as his informal deputies.
Spain’s European Minister Diego López Garrido is quoted by La Razón, saying that the European Parliament will exert “an important political control” over the EEAS. Italian MEP Roberto Gualtieri, chief negotiator for the Socialist Group, is quoted by EurActiv claiming that “on the whole, European Parliament’s requests have been fulfilled”. According to Baroness Ashton, the EEAS might be operational by the autumn.
Over at Bjorn's blog he is also reporting that Pierre Vimont will get the "Executive Secretary General" position of new EEAS. This position appears that it will be a very powerful post.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how the French continue to get thier way with these things. It is important to keep an eye on all players, I still say, watch out for Sarkozy!

ReplyDeleteBeautifulPeople.com Launches Virtual Sperm Bank
NEW YORK, June 21 -- /PRNewswire/ -- www.BeautifulPeople.com, the dating site with a strict ban on ugly people, has launched a virtual sperm and egg bank for people who want to have beautiful babies.
The Beautiful Baby service - which is also available to non-members - was created for people who want to maximize their chances of having good looking children.
Managing director Greg Hodge said: "BeautifulPeople.com has launched a fertility introduction service to help members and non-members alike procreate. There are no financial benefits for us in doing so - we are simply responding to a demand for attractive donors. Every parent would like their child to be blessed with many fine attributes, attractiveness being one of the most sought after. For a site with members who resemble Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Angelina Jolie you can imagine the demand."
Founder Robert Hintze added: "Initially, we hesitated to widen the offering to non-beautiful people. But everyone - including ugly people - would like to bring good looking children in to the world, and we can't be selfish with our attractive gene pool."
Since its creation in 2002, BeautifulPeople.com has become the world's largest community of beautiful people with over 600,000 members from 190 countries.
Jean Smith, cultural anthropologist said:
"BeautifulPeople.com is doing what people are doing anyway, which is securing what they believe to be the highest level of genetic material they can, to ensure the best chance of success for their offspring.
"This service makes it easier for those who subscribe to the same ideal of beauty as those of 'Beautiful People' to find donors whom they perceive to supply appropriate genetic material."
Already, over 600 beautiful babies have been born to couples who met through the site, a fact which is attracting the attention of broody individuals and fertility clinics.

ReplyDeleteAs I was saying before it doesn't surprise me that bigger fish are being found in shallower waters. Marlin, Dolphin (Mahi variety not Porpoise), Tarpon, Sheep Head, and other large fish are pretty picky eaters. If something is a miss with their typical food plot they will typically move to where they can find a better source of what they like. This is one of the things that makes fishing for these large game fish such a challenge, as unlike sharks it is not so easy to get them to bite on just anything.

A 5.5-magnitude earthquake hit the Ontario-Quebec border region in Canada around 1:40 p.m., and people across Connecticut and New England have reported feeling the ground shake.

Detroit -- No, you're not imagining it: We did have an earthquake.
According to the United States Geological Survey, the Michigan/Ontario border felt an earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter Scale at 1:41 p.m. today.
"There was an event that measured in the mid to low 5 range on the Richter Scale," said USGS seismologist Paul Earle.

According to Earle, the first indications placed the epicenter somewhere around the Michigan/Ontario border. A few moments later it was established on the Ontario/Quebec border, about 33 miles away from Ottawa.
The USGC web site at http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsus/Quakes/us2010xwa7.php said the earthquake occurred almost 12 miles below the surface.
According to Earle, the USGS has a website at http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/dyfi/ where citizens can post the who, what, when, where and "wow" of the earthquake.

The short answer is that Daniel 12:11 [expressed in days] is expounding on Daniel 9:27 [expressed as a week of years = 7 years]. In 7:25, Daniel refers to the post-Abomination of Desolation period as "time, times and half a times" and again in 12:7 he uses the same "time, times and half a times." This is 3.5 years [1 "time" + 2 "times" + .5 "half a time"].
In Revelation 12:6,14, John equates "time, times and half a time" with 1260 days. So, if 3.5 years = 1260 days that breaks down to a 360 day year. I think it's safe to assume John was referencing the Prophet Daniel given his usage of "time, times and half a time."
So, what we know is that the remnant of the Nation Israel [the woman of Rev 12] will be "taken care of for 1260 days. My understanding is this occurs after the Abomination of Desolation (AoD) is set up. And, according to Daniel 7:25 the "saints will be handed over to him [antichrist] during this same 3.5 year period which correlates with Rev 12:14-17.
With all this in mind, the 1290 days of Dan 12:11 is obviously 30 days beyond 3.5 years. However, we are not told definitively that the end of the 70th seven is, in fact, the end of "tribulation" period [at least not that I'm aware] or the final end of time as we know it. The "1335 days" of Dan 12:12 goes even further. However, I think it's possible that the "middle of the seven" [Dan 9:27] is not exactly in the middle but rather a proximity. So, then, 1290 days could be either some point just before or after the exact midpoint; and, the 1335 days may or may not extend beyond the end of the 70th seven. It will take a mind more keen than mine to figure it all out!
Correction:

Just think how much of the U.S. receives rain that comes out of the Gulf of Mexico. There is a great deal of other information to explore at this particular website. We are in big trouble.
Slightly off-topic; but this is what we're up against:
ReplyDeleteIndoctrination of children to fight for a "country" that never existed; for a "separate ethnic group" that doesn't exist; and for a god that is the antithesis of the holy, righteous, caring "I AM THAT I AM."
I don't know which would be the worst emotion--fright or extreme sadness--if any of these beautiful kids actually pick up a gun and shoot a Jew, Christian, or resistant fellow-arab/muslim.

Last night I was over at a friend's house and he had on CNN/Wolf Blitzer. A commercial came on sounding very new age-y speaking of the interconnectness of life (specifically mentioning humans, animals and plant life) and got worse as it went. To my surprise it was an advertisement for Earth Charter.
ReplyDeleteNow, I don't watch much TV; but, maybe this stuff is more common than I'm aware. Did anyone else see this or something like it?
Craig,
ReplyDeleteI have not seen this commercial, and I often have CNN on in the background while working on something on my cpu. Not that CNN is my favorite channel of the news networks, but I do flip around between them during various points in the day. This way I get a good feel for the spin being put on all sides of a story. If the Earth Charter is being promoted on a major news network, we are in serious trouble. I would imagine if it is on CNN, than it is probably being run multiple times an hour on MSNBC. lol Was this by chance the commercial you saw?

Occult Cabalist Banker Prophesied Of Gulf Oil Apocalypse In 1903
ReplyDeleteleave a comment »
June 20, 2010: Translation for Henry Makow / Henry Makow.com – June 19, 2010
In 1903, Austrian banker, writer and occultist Gustav Meyrink (right, 1868-1932) wrote a novella, “Petroleum, Petroleum”, part of a collection of short stories, which featured this Preface:
“To assure priority of this prophecy, I state that the following novella has been written in 1903. Gustav Meyrink”.
The novella tells the story of Dr. Jessegrim who has made a fortune in the mescaline business. He decides to go into oil.
All of Mexico was standing on caves which were partly at least filled with petroleum, and connected with each other. Jessegrim resolves to blast away the separations between the caves. After the last detonation, the oil was to flow from the underground deposit in Mexico into the ocean and form a glass surface, which continues to grow, taken by the gulf stream, soon covering the entire Atlantic surface. The coasts were barren and the population retreated into the interior of the land.
Instead of being arrested, in Meyrink’s story, Jessegrim is hired as a consultant. He says: “If the oil continues to spill as it does, it will have covered the oceans of the world in 27 to 29 weeks and there will be no more rains, ever, as water can not evaporate anymore. At best, it will rain petroleum.”
First widely criticized, this prophecy (of Dr. Jessegrim) becomes increasingly plausible as the hidden flow does not stop, and when it increases dramatically, panic grips humanity.
Cable from USA to EU: “Oil leaks increase constantly. Situation extremely dangerous. Advise immediately whether stink there is also unbearable”.
In Meyrink’s occult circles, they were fantasizing about oil reserves gushing into the ocean from the Gulf of Mexico, covering the oceans. They postulated that an oil reservoir released into the oceans would be an apocalypse and possibly destroy the entire earth. It would start with a huge explosion. The culprit (a Dr. No figure, “Dr. Jessegrim”) is motivated by blind hate of humanity. He destroys humanity via a “wrath of god” – the oil catastrophe.
Unlike dystopian stories like “1984″ by George Orwell or “Brave New World” by Aldous Huxley, who made no such claims, Meyrink called his story a “Prophecy”. At the beginning of the story, he states quasi in notary fashion: “To assure priority of this prophecy, I state that the following novella has been written in 1903. Gustav Meyrink”.

ReplyDeleteMeyrink ran a banking house between 1889 and 1902 and circulated his entire life in the occult world of Christian and Jewish mysticism, theosophy and alchemy. He was a member of the very influential Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, a British secret society active at the end of the 19th and in the early 20th century. Its members included the Satanist, occultist, Cabalist, magician Aleister Crowley, a Freemason of the Old and Accepted Order of the Scottish Rite. He called himself, “The Great Beast 666″. It means that Meyrink was frequenting circles which welcomed the Apocalypse, which is exactly what he describes in “Petroleum, Petroleum”: An apocalypse. And a planned apocalypse.
Around 1900, the “magician and mystic” Aleister Crowley, in reality a drug-addicted megalomaniac, traveled to Mexico. It has always been known that due to the lack of real magic, one had always to help things along, which is why the only real background of magic is illusion – the representation of magic.
Until now, every magician was really an illusionist who interprets a natural event as magical. Or, an illusion as a natural event (see the attacks of 9-11). And while some developed an honest and entertaining art form out of this, others insisted on selling their illusions as real magic or natural phenomena.
Meyrink was frequenting such circles. Not only the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, but also the “Germania” lodge, the first lodge of the Theosophist Society. It was founded by (widely regarded con-woman) Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, who also founded the magazine “Lucifer”. Meyrink eventually realized that the so-called “séances” for contacting ghosts from the other side were “almost entirely relying on tricks or self-deception”.
One needs to point out that back then, people apparently fantasized about oil reserves spilling into the oceans, and doing so in the Gulf of Mexico. Additionally, they believed this would become an apocalypse and could destroy the entire earth.
In Meyrink’s story, the perpetrator is motivated by blind hatred of humanity: The destruction of the “crowd” was seen by Meyrink/Jessegrim as possible only through a “god-given scourge” – meaning, the oil apocalypse.

ReplyDeleteIt starts with you in transforming yourself to transform the world. In expanding your horizons and noticing that everything is interrelated that we are one human family on earth where people plants and animals are all connected realizing that we need to live with a deep sense of universal responsibility in a spirit of solidarity and global collaboration.
The future of new generations starts with you. We are all Earth’s citizens and dream of a world that is more just, sustainable and peaceful. Where we can all live happy in peace and harmony.
Earth Charter. It starts with one.

ReplyDeleteThat yellow substance now gushing out of the well is SULFUR (also spelled 'Sulphur'). Has the actual seabed (floor of the Gulf) been penetrated down far enough to hit a VOLCANIC reservoir?
Remember that Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed by brimstone and fire. Brimstone IS sulfur.
Also, just think . . . the blood of millions of aborted babies has flowed into that same Gulf of Mexico from the Mississippi River over the past 37 years. How ironic that the earth may now be 'bleeding' Sulfur from this very place. Are those aborted babies now crying out for justice?
Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven." (Genesis 19:24)

Craig, this is exactly what I am thinking about. I have believed exactly what you wrote for many years, but after further study I am not so sure that it is correct. We have taken our pre-conceived ideas from Daniel 9:27 to force other scripture to conform. John does not equate Rev 12:6,14 with Daniel. He does say 1260 days, but that does not mean he is saying the same thing.
ReplyDeleteDaniel starts out one day = one year, so a week equals 7 years. Where did he change the rules? One day = one year. I do not think we are to change that unless something in the Word tells us to.
The question is if it is years when did the 1290 start? Assuming that was the beginning of the 1290 years (Hebrew Calendar) which is 1271.5 days solar calendar. Now, Daniel 12 says "from the time the regular sacrifice is abolished..." When did the regular sacrifice get abolished. We know that the Temple was destroyed in 586bc, but per Jeremiah 41:5 sacrifices continued for a few more years. If you take 583bc and subtract 1271 years you get 688AD. What happened in 688AD? The Dome of the Rock was built on the gentile court.
We have always thought that time, times, and a half is 3 1/2 years. Why? To fit our pre-conceived notion of the 7 year trib. Should we not be looking at scripture to determine what a time means? 2 Pet 3:8 probably gives us the answer. The translators tell us that a day = one thousand years, but they probably got it wrong. The Greek word used is Hemera and it is translated several different ways depending on the context. 12 times it is translated "time" in the NAS translation. So could time be equal to 1000 years? Would that make sense?
Let's look. When was Daniel 7:25 written. Well verse 7:1 was tells us 552BC. You do not convert the 1000 years, b/c the definition is given to us using the solar calendar (our current calendar). Time, Times, and a half of time is not 3 1/2 years, but 2500 years. 552bc - 2500 years = 1948. They (Jews) will be given into his (Satan's) hand until when? Until I gather them back to a nation. The next time time, times, and a half is given to us is Daniel 12:7. When was it written? We know Daniel 10:1 was in 533BC, so let's use that. 533-2500 = 1967.
The 1260 days spoken of in Revelation 11:3 for the two witnesses to prophesy. Again days = years, but this is given to us by John who is on the solar calendar so no reason to convert. When did the two witnesses begin? The Jews were dispersed in 688AD. 688 + 1260 = 1948. The Jews were no longer a witness to him. They have gone home...Wait who are the two witnesses? The Christians and the Jews. Rev. 11:4 tells us these are the two Olive Trees and two candlesticks. Earlier in Rev. we are told the candlesticks represent the churches. Who are the two churches? Jews and Christians. The Olive Tree reference confirms it. We are a wild olive tree which was grafted into THE olive tree.
Just some things I have been reading about and praying about. I did not come up with all of this on my own. I started thinking about it and did some searches. Go to www.fishhouseministries.com and read the False Prophet. It is about 200 pages long, but very eye opening. Ellis Skolfield probably explains it better than me as well.
Not to spoil it for you, but he says there is not a 7 year tribulation nor a mark of the beast the way we think of it.

I must admit I've thought about and tentatively reached similar conclusions as you have here; but, the trouble is the death, resurrection and rapture of the two witnesses later in the chapter which makes it seem as though they are two men. That's not to mention the plagues referenced in 11:5-6 which "these men have power" to do.
As far as the rest of what you wrote, that will require quite a bit of research/thought on my part. I'm not sure when I'll have time to adequately research it. Interesting nonetheless.
My NIV Study Bible indicates the Book of Daniel "was probably completed in 530 BC, shortly after the capture of Babylon by Cyrus in 539."

Is there a spiritual, biblical connection to the BP oil catastrophe?
A new video on YouTube is suggesting a possible link to the disaster due to America's recent treatment of Israel, and at least one well-known Bible analyst, Hal Lindsey, thinks there's a valid correlation.
The video was produced and posted today by Carl Gallups of the Hickory Hammock Baptist Church in Milton, Fla., and is embedded here:
"April the 19th, Israel celebrates its independence in 2010," Gallups says in narration on the video. "On April the 19th, Fox News reports that the U.S. will no longer automatically support Israel in the United Nations. The next day, on April the 20th, the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explodes. Coincidence? Or the hand and judgment of God?"

And Quanta services, who is the parent company to Potelco, our major subcontractor with PSE is a major player in the smart grid implementation. There are too many links to post, but it's easy to find. Quanta and PSE both are heavily invested in Smart Grid.

ReplyDeleteTypical garbage and double speak coming from Strong. Take for instance:
"I've always made it clear that I do not believe that global government is either necessary or feasible," said Strong, who was a key official at the UN for decades until his retirement in 2005.
"What I do believe is that we need a system of global governance through which nations can co-operate and deal with issues they cannot deal with alone. Maybe that statement is too sophisticated for some, but it shouldn't be."
We don't need a global government but we do need global governance? What is governance without a body to enforce it Maurice? Oh yeah, it's lip service. You and your buddies haven't been working this hard for this many years to simply do lip service to Gaia have you Maurice?

Dorothy, went back through the comments and I think I just realized what you meant regarding the Meyrink story, although I didn't leave the link to that story, which I just read.
ReplyDeleteWhen I mentioned that you and I tried to warn others about Obama, it was because all the indications seem to point to the fact that this administration doesn't seem to give a rat's behind about the people, and by its sheer lack of doing anything pro-active regarding this oil disaster, is deliberately causing eco-systems to die and putting the population at risk of toxicity and eventual starvation. So I believe that this could be a planned genocide and population reduction that will come about through a series of events most of which are related to this "accident-waiting for a place to happen".
There are reports that the oil gasses are radioactive, that trees and plants are dying and that fragile ecosystems that keep harmful bacteria out of the water and keep the sea life fed are being killed off. This will lead to widespread famine in due time. Disturbing articles are actually starting to come out of the main stream media and it all adds up to the fact that American fisheries are going to be killed off completely, and our crops could die, too. So America will bear the burden of the hardship at first, but eventually it will affect the entire food chain.
First link describes how the killing of this vital algae could eventually kill off the fish in North Atlantic waters, too, and it's already a given that the fish in the gulf are doomed:

Second link unrelated to oil slipped into the news , but I found it curious. Invasive carp has been detected in Great Lakes. Scientists and fishermen fear that if the carp become established in the Great Lakes, they could starve out popular sport fish and ruin the region's $7 billion fishing industry. Carp can grow to 100 pounds and 4 feet.Did someone bring the Asian carp into our waters? Link below:

Something's rotten here and it ain't in Denmark.
I did not say Daniel stated one day = one year. I said Daniel starts out with one day = one year. We know this b/c one week is equal to 7 years. In Numbers 14:34, Ezekiel 4:5-6 is the idea that a day = one year. Obviously, Daniel follows this same one day = one year with the first 69 weeks.

ReplyDeleteAs much as 1 million times the normal level of methane gas has been found in some regions near the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, enough to potentially deplete oxygen and create a dead zone, U.S. scientists said on Tuesday.
Texas A&M University oceanography professor John Kessler, just back from a 10-day research expedition near the BP Plc oil spill in the gulf, says methane gas levels in some areas are "astonishingly high."
Kessler's crew took measurements of both surface and deep water within a 5-mile (8 kilometer) radius of BP's broken wellhead.
"There is an incredible amount of methane in there," Kessler told reporters in a telephone briefing.
In some areas, the crew of 12 scientists found concentrations that were 100,000 times higher than normal.
"We saw them approach a million times above background concentrations" in some areas, Kessler said.
The scientists were looking for signs that the methane gas had depleted levels of oxygen dissolved in the water needed to sustain marine life.
"At some locations, we saw depletions of up to 30 percent of oxygen based on its natural concentration in the waters. At other places, we saw no depletion of oxygen in the waters. We need to determine why that is," he told the briefing.
Methane occurs naturally in sea water, but high concentrations can encourage the growth of microbes that gobble up oxygen needed by marine life.
Kessler said oxygen depletions have not reached a critical level yet, but the oil is still spilling into the Gulf, now at a rate of as much as 60,000 barrels a day, according to U.S. government estimates.
"What is it going to look like two months down the road, six months down the road, two years down the road?" he asked.
Methane, a natural gas, dissolves in seawater and some scientists think measuring methane could give a more accurate picture of the extent of the oil spill.
Kessler said his team has taken those measurements, and is hoping to have an estimate soon.
"Give us about a week and we should have some preliminary numbers on that," he said.

ReplyDeleteRegarding the Kindra Arnesan video/speech:
ReplyDeleteI had to chuckle when she said that the EPA, OSHA, NOAA, the federal government and BP are in collusion. If I didn’t learn the lesson that these organizations serve business and not the people from personal experience the first time, I did the second.
First time: I was a high school student during the near meltdown of a reactor at Three Mile Island in ’79 living in Manchester, PA only a few miles from the plant. The first day of the near meltdown we were let out of school early. Those of us who walk home were told to put a jacket over our heads (if we brought one – I didn’t) when we went home. I had to laugh as I distinctly recalled that fallout shelters used about 20 feet of concrete to protect from nuclear fallout.
Second time: I was working in the warehouse for a local San Antonio semi conductor company named Advanced Micro Devices back in ’85. I noted a number of safety issues including mixing acids and solvents in the same room and leaky metal tubing (with who knows what flowing through) in the ceiling above a room full of various chemical cylinders.
This was brought to the attention of our Safety Engineer, John Bryant (I can’t believe I still remember his name), who I was told formerly worked for OSHA. Since nothing was done, I decided to call OSHA. I was told I would need to fill out a report which they would have to send to me from Austin. The man on the other end said, “Isn’t your Safety Engineer John Bryant? He used to work for OSHA. I’m confident he wouldn’t allow any safety issues to go unresolved [or something to this effect
After a few days of non-receipt, I phoned them again. [“It must be lost in the mail.” Yeah, right.] I received it the next day, filled it out and sent it in. Some time during this ordeal (I’m a bit fuzzy on the chronology) I was called in to HR with my boss and his boss with a write up of trumped up allegations for supposedly telling someone else not to do his job (he was on a different shift and of equal peon status). I refused to sign the write-up; and, I was suspended for 3 days without pay. I should note I was a model employee up to that point having recently received a raise.
When I returned, my duties were restricted to the point in which I basically did nothing which drove me nuts. I found out through other workers there that everything was cleaned up before the OSHA visit all of this occurring during my 3 day suspension. I eventually quit, which is, of course, what the company wanted.
How sad about Pensacola. I used to live there on the beach. The people I know there are devastated.

As far as when the rapture occurs in reference to the tribulation I have been studying Revelation 10:7 which states "But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his TRUMPET, the MYSTERY of God will be accomplished just as he announced to his servants the prophets". In 1 Corinthians 15:51,52 it says "Listen, I tell you a MYSTERY: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed in the twinkling of an eye, at the LAST TRUMPET". Mystery is a word frequently used as being related to the Church which is we believers in Jesus Christ. Is it possible that the rapture will happen in the days of the seventh trumpet? That is the last trumpet and the mystery will be accomplished at that time. Just some food for thought. I welcome any comments and helpful research on just what Revelation 10:7 is referring to.
