From the New York Times (05/11/10):

The Pope Issues His Most Direct Words to Date on Abuse

LISBON —In his most direct condemnation of the sexual abuse crisis that has swept the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Benedict XVI on Tuesday said that the “sins inside the church” posed the greatest threat to the church, adding that “forgiveness does not substitute for justice.”

“Attacks on the pope and the church come not only from outside the church, but the suffering of the church comes from inside the church, from sin that exists inside the church,” Benedict told reporters aboard his plane en route to Portugal, speaking about the abuse crisis.

“This we have always known, but today we see it in a really terrifying way, that the greatest persecution of the church does not come from the enemies outside but is born from the sin in the church,” he added. “The church has a profound need to relearn penance, to accept purification, to learn on the one hand forgiveness but also the necessity of justice. And forgiveness does not substitute justice.”

In placing the blame for sex abuse directly on the church, Benedict appeared to distance himself from other church officials who in recent weeks have criticized the news media for reporting on the sex abuse crisis, which they called attacks on the church.

In recent months, the sex abuse crisis has revealed an ancient institution wrestling with modernity and has brought to light an internal culture clash between traditionalists who have valued protecting priests and bishops above all else, and others who seek more transparency.

The crisis has also raised questions about how Benedict handled sex abuse as prefect of the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and as bishop in Munich in 1980 when a pedophile priest was moved to his diocese for treatment.

A traditionalist but also a strong voice within the church calling for purification, Benedict met privately with victims of sex abuse on a brief trip to Malta last month, his third such meeting. In March, he issued a strong letter to Irish Catholics reeling from reports of systemic sex abuse in Catholic institutions. And last week the Vatican took control of the Legionaries of Christ, a powerful religious order whose founder was found to have abused seminarians and fathered several children.

But the pope’s off-the-cuff remarks on Tuesday were his most direct since the crisis hit the church in Europe earlier this year

Here is a November, 2005 article by Lee Penn about Cardinal William Levada.

Lee Penn quotes liberally from an article entitled "The Most Influential American Prelate" by Phil Lawler in the June, 2005 edition of the CATHOLIC WORLD REPORT which is a pretty reliable Catholic news source.

While Cardinal Levada's religious views generally reflect the official teachings of the Catholic Church, and while Cardinal Levada has never personally been accused of sexually abusing anyone, his mishandling of the sex abuse cases that came to light on his watch appear to be blameworthy, nevertheless.

Moreover, I personally feel that there were better candidates that Pope Benedict XVI could have chosen to head the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, but I suppose Pope Benedict XVI had his own good reasons for naming Cardinal Levada to this post.

    Dear Constance,

I listened to your radio program this evening. Very good program.

It looks like Pope Benedict was echoing your phrase "termites from within, wrecking balls from without" when recently responding to a question en route to Portugal about the child sex abuse scandal within the Roman Catholic Church.

In the following article, the Pope is not blaming the lawyers, or the media or anyone outside the Church.
He is blaming the scandal on a spiritual crisis within the Church itself.

POPE PINS ABUSE SCANDAL ON CHURCH "SIN"

Pope Benedict XVI says the clerical child abuse scandal shows that the greatest threat to Catholicism comes from "sin within" the Church.

He made his comments in response to a question while en route to Portugal.

Critics have previously accused the Vatican of attempting to blame the media and the Church's opponents for the escalation of the scandal.

But the Pope made clear its origin came from within the Church itself, and said forgiveness "does not replace justice".

    'Need for penance'

"Today we see in a truly terrifying way that the greatest persecution of the Church does not come from outside enemies, but is born of sin within the Church," the pontiff told reporters on a plane bound for Portugal.

His comments were his most direct response to media questions, and some of his strongest words yet on the abuse scandal, says BBC Vatican correspondent David Willey, who is travelling with the Pope.

Benedict said the Church has "a very deep need" to acknowledge that it must do penance for its sins and "accept purification".

However, he added that forgiveness should not be a substitute for justice.

There has been a wave of allegations in the past few months that Church authorities in Europe and North and South America failed to deal properly with priests accused of child sex abuse, sometimes just moving them to new parishes where more children were put at risk.

The Pope himself has been accused of being part of a culture of secrecy, and of not taking strong enough steps against paedophiles when he had that responsibility as a cardinal in Rome.

However, his supporters say he has been the most pro-active pope yet in confronting abuse....

Just for the record, Cardinal William Levada is nearly 74 years old. The mandatory retirement age for bishops is 75 unless the Pope decides to allow a prelate to remain at his post beyond the age of 75.

Who's running Europe? Now Obama pressures Spain over cuts after whispers he advised Merkel on saving the euro

    By Mail Foreign Service
Last updated at 11:38 AM on 12th May 2010

Barack Obama is pressuring Spain to make austerity cuts as the European debt crisis rumbles on, it has emerged.

The U.S. President has also been credited with helping to save the Euro, after giving advice to European leaders on how to handle the debt crisis.

U.S. officials have been adamant that Europe must take the lead in resolving the crisis.
But amid fears for the impact on the American economy, behind closed doors the U.S. has been taking a far more active role.
Mr Obama and his aides have privately pressured European leaders to take bold action to calm the storm in financial markets.

Yesterday he called Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero to discuss the importance of 'resolute action' by Spain.
Spain's public finances, along with Portugal's, have caused the most concern after those of Greece, which secured a European bailout.
The White House said Mr Obama was actively engaged in ensuring that Europe's debt crisis did not hurt the global economy.
There are fears that the state of the economies in Portugal, Spain, Italy and Ireland - who all currently have high levels of debt - could stall the U.S. economy just as it was beginning to improve.
Former Treasury and White House official Tony Fratto said: 'We're in a slow growth recovery. It would not take much to get growth down to zero or 1 per cent.'
Mr Obama has held phone calls with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicolas Sarkozy about the European crisis in recent days.
The message was clear: Act boldly.
American officials urged that Mr Sarkozy and Mrs Merkel recall the U.S. lesson of 2008-2009 when the Bush administration persuaded a reluctant Congress to approve a massive $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program.

While politically unpopular, the U.S. rescue plan convinced markets that authorities were serious about keeping banks afloat..

'We are once again the schmucks of Europe!' German media's verdict as anger at Greek bailout swells

    By Allan Hall
Last updated at 8:28 AM on 12th May 2010

.....'Unless measures are taken to deal with the underlying structural problems affecting the most indebted of eurozone nations, then the bailout package merely kicks the can down the road,' said Michael Hewson, analyst at CMC Markets.

In Germany, the uncertainties were having a far more immediate effect.

Hard-pressed taxpayers - led by a flailing coalition government that could be the template for one soon to be assembled in the UK - are being asked for more sacrifices to save a currency they never wanted at a time when the country has record postwar debt.

Britain's bill for the bailout varies between £10bill and £43billion. But there is no doubt on the continent that it is Germany that is picking up the lion's share of the tab.
Now German citizens have also been told that a tax cut is shelved for at least two years, and will probably never materialise in the life of this administration.
German anger: The Bild front page today, where the newspaper voiced the frustration of German taxpayers furious at the Greek bailout by asking if the country was 'the schmuck of Europe'

Last week their chancellor promised Greece over 22billion Euros worth of aid over the next three years.

On Monday that was made to look like loose change when Angela Merkel said Germany's share to underwrite the currency in total would be 123billion Euros.
Today, Bild said: 'The EU and the Eurozone want to spend a massive 750billion Euros to save the European currency. Germany alone will have to fork out 123billion Euros for its bankrupt neighbours.
'There is now not enough money for the planned tax cuts here!

'Are we really the schmucks of Europe?

'Chancellor Angela Merkel said: 'We are protecting the money of people in Germany.' Really?'
Voters already delivered their verdict on Mrs Merkel's handling of the Greece crisis by punishing her in a regional election on Sunday which saw her party kicked out of power in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The loss means she loses a majority in the upper-house of parliament in Berlin and will not be able to deliver reforming legislation without the consent of squabbling rivals - an almost impossible task.
There are rumours that the right-wingers in her conservative CDU party are plotting a coup against her - rumours strengthened by the visceral distaste for her latest largesse in trying to prop up the common currency.
'The biggest 'all-in' in the history of poker,' was how Henrik Enderlein, economics professor at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin, described the massive aid package assembled on Sunday night in an effort to save the Euro from collapse.
Many observers see the measure as delaying the end of the Euro, not preventing it....

Here, Merkel is being portrayed as "weak" beside Sarkozy.

Merkel's caution in euro crisis weakens Germany in EU

And leading the opposition is President Nicolas Sarkozy, whom the weakened chancellor could little oppose.".......

WHAT THE EUROZONE BAILOUT PLAN MEANS

.......That's why the Eurozone has no choice but to enforce such reform programs. Voters in the richer Eurozone countries, such as Germany, which will have to carry the heaviest burden of the rescue plan, are already angry about their country's wealth being used to bailout neighbors seen as profligate. So if France's Nicolas Sarkozy and Germany's Angela Merkel are going to sell the bailout plan to their own people, they'll have to get clear reform pledges from the PIIGS in return, and probably strengthened tools to sanction these wayward states in the event they don't follow the rules. Otherwise, this bailout plan would create the mother of all moral hazard problems, and would therefore never politically fly in the richer members of the Eurozone.

And it's in that little conundrum that the real importance of the bailout can be found. The plan is completely overhauling the way in which the Eurozone works. Though Europe has wanted to benefit from economic integration (a common market, a common currency), its member states were at the same time protective of their sovereignty. Though they agreed to certain common standards, they didn't necessarily want fellow Eurozone members interfering too much in their domestic affairs. That's how the PIIGS built up so much debt without their neighbors stopping them in the first place. The European states were also pretty clear that they didn't want to be responsible for another member's financial problems – thus the “no bailout” clause in EU treaties. In other words, the Eurozone members wanted to use a common currency, but, despite that high degree of connection, leave each other alone as much as possible.

Now that's out the window. The Eurozone governments have finally woken to the reality that their monetary union is only as strong as its weakest links, and that if the euro is to thrive (or even survive), it will take more collective action and commitment. The flip side of that is probably a shift towards greater interference in each other's domestic affairs. You're not going to see that greater commitment take place without greater control within the Eurozone over the decisions of individual governments.

That's a dramatic change in a very short period of time. Remember, it was less than two weeks ago that we were all wondering if Europe could get together on just the Greek bailout alone. Now, over a weekend, the Eurozone has altered the very relationship between its members in a fundamental way. Some economists have argued that a currency union can't survive without political integration as well. Now it appears Eurozone states will be sacrificing more of their political independence to the greater EU. Who knows where this process can go once it gets started...

Have a look at this from the Berliner Zeitung, no matter what trouble he gets himself into, the little weasel also comes out smelling like a rose.

Sarkozy, the new king of Europe
    12 May 2010 | Berliner Zeitung Berlin

The EU is not what it was before, especially from Berlin’s perspective. The financial crisis and the euro rescue parachute have changed the Union from top to bottom. The German taxman has failed. From here on in, writes the Berliner Zeitung, the French take the helm.

Politics is a cruel business. Victory and defeat, triumphs and downfalls, often follow in rapid succession. In our day all can be lost in the space of a few weeks. Latest case in point: Angela Merkel, Germany’s chancellor. In late March she was still queen of Europe. Merkel dominated the spring summit in Brussels. She dictated the main terms of the rescue package for the cash-strapped Greeks. Her initial strategy was to do nothing. And the other states had to tow the line. Six weeks later the erstwhile hegemon looks like she’s been left high and dry. The tactics came to nothing. Her power is eroding, at home and in Europe. Last weekend, when the EU states jump-started a gigantic emergency plan to save the euro, France ran the operation – in close consultation with Italy and other Mediterranean countries.

The latest events mark a turning-point. The financial crisis and rescue parachute for the eurozone are going to change the EU from top to bottom. It will bear more of a French and less of a German stamp. Not only because French president Nicolas Sarkozy emerged on the spot as far-sighted crisis manager, while Merkel was obsessing with elections in the German province. Politics in Europe will be more à la française in future. And the methods, maybe even the institutions, will take on a French cast

Sarkozy getting closer to his goal

At one fell swoop, Germans last weekend surrendered positions they’d considered sacrosanct until recently. Things are shaping along the lines drawn in Paris: so the euro Stability Pact, a German invention, is now outmoded. What is currently keeping the single currency on an even keel isn’t the pact, but the €110 billion rescue package for the Greeks plus the €750 billion parachute for other potentially skint states. Even the no-bailout rule has been de facto thrust aside. The Germans had been toting that clause around like a holy monstrance these past few months to ward off any objections from Karlsruhe [seat of the German constitutional court]. Suchlike qualms, however, were alien to the French, who in the end prevailed.

Sarkozy is also getting closer to his goal of forging a European economic government out of the 16 eurozone states. It was that group that passed the key resolutions over the weekend. The EU Commission only gets to fetch and carry now. But the point is that the entire eurozone is waking up to the fact that it won’t work anymore without political leadership and much tighter economic policy coordination. The Germans would have none of that in the past, but now Europe is going to get economic governance, whether on a formal or informal footing. The EU has no alternative if it is to remedy the structural defects in the single currency.

Germany failed the big stress test

The European Central Bank has also taken a French turn. It was initially conceived on the model of the German Bundesbank – as an independent institution. Then on the weekend it suddenly let itself get roped into the deal in Brussels. It even declared its willingness, in a pinch, to buy up junk bonds from euro states in freefall. So much for its independence. The Central Bank is now an accessory to politics. That isn’t just a novel development, it’s a revolution.

Germans shouldn’t be naïve and think things will flutter back into our pattern once the storm on the stock markets has subsided and Europe can put paid to the financial crisis. Just one weekend sufficed to break a whole slew of taboos. When our EU partners begin mulling the consequences of the euro crisis and drawing up new rules for the monetary union, Germans won’t have much to say for their approach to Europe, which failed the big stress test. And they provided the proof themselves – by signing off on the gigantic rescue plan for the monetary union.

BAILOUT SPURS DEBATE ON CINCHING EUROPE'S FISCAL TIES

.....The €750 billion bailout plan is "a step towards replacing peer pressure with peer control in the context of fiscal surveillance," analysts at Moody's wrote Tuesday. A stronger fiscal framework, they wrote, "would be credit-positive for the region."

Since the first rumblings of the Greece crisis, proponents of a tighter fiscal embrace have seized the opportunity.

The commission reanimated its efforts to give its statistical authority, Eurostat, greater powers to scrutinize countries' financial reporting. A similar effort was rejected by the EU's finance ministers several years ago, but times have changed and it appears to have support now.

Herman Van Rompuy, the EU president, decided last week to accelerate the work of a task force looking to strengthen "policy coordination."

Resistance to closer fiscal coordination comes from national capitals, particularly Berlin. Germany is proud of its relative fiscal rectitude, and it is deeply reluctant to take advice on financial administration from others.

German officials reacted furiously earlier this year when French Finance Minister Christine Lagarde suggested the Germans should spend more in order to reduce imbalances within the euro zone that see money pouring into Germany from other countries.

"Budget laws are a national responsibility," German Finance Ministry spokesman Michael Offer told reporters Tuesday. "We have historical precedent for national jurisdiction over budget law. And we want to keep that independence."

But Germany is in a tricky spot. Chancellor Angela Merkel has been harshly critical of Greece's budget overruns. "Germany has a very difficult psychological process to get through," says Fabian Zuleeg of the European Policy Centre, a Brussels-based think tank. Stabilizing the euro and bringing confidence to the monetary union, he says, will require tough rules that apply throughout the zone, including in Germany.

Germany prefers a list of new regulations, including tougher penalties for breaking the EU's Stability and Growth Pact, which limits annual deficits to 3% of gross domestic product. It also seeks harsh savings and restructuring measures for countries that tap the bailout fund, and new regulations on derivatives and short-selling.

Germany's exposure to the euro-zone bailout fund could, however, lead Berlin to rethink its opposition to stricter budget oversight, if not to fiscal collaboration. It may conclude that relinquishing some control over its own budget is a price worth paying if Berlin gains supervision over the finances of other members in return.

The commission proposals will involve examining member countries' budgets before they are voted on by parliaments. It isn't clear whether the final legislation would permit actually blocking budgets—a step that could involve serious constitutional challenges in many countries—or providing an advisory assessment only....

First, it wasn't the German people who signed off on the bailout. It was Merkel who signed off against the will of the German people. Sunday's elections are evidence of that.

Second, it is to be recalled that the Germans didn't want the monetary union to begin with. They only tolerated it as a condition of Mitterand agreeing to German reunification after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.

At the last thread I posted the following:

In October 2009, France released its archives from 1989–90 relating to the process of German reunification. It was revealed that President Mitterand agreed to German unification in exchange for a commitment from Chancellor Kohl to the European Economic and Monetary Union.

In January 1990, Mitterand told Thatcher that a unified Germany could "make more ground than even Hitler had".

    Big Trouble for Sarko
    The price of underachievement.

    By Denis MacShane | NEWSWEEK
    Published Mar 19, 2010

....His own party faithful have been denied promotion and power as Sarkozy has stuffed his government with outsiders from the left or NGOs to curry media favor. Now the disgruntled in Sarkozy's Union for a Popular Movement are starting to turn against their president, who seems to have lost his winner's touch.

In 2007 Sarkozy promised to become the human-rights president. But to maintain France's role in Africa, court China, and win contracts in Libya, Sarkozy shelved France's self-proclaimed role as Europe's guardian of les droits de l'homme. Meanwhile, after bringing France back into NATO (to the fury of the military-industrial establishment), he then sold high-tech warships to Russia—which just declared NATO its enemy.

Nor has Sarkozy played France's EU cards with much skill. German Chancellor Angela Merkel is fed up with French sermons on the need for Germany to cut exports and increase domestic consumption. She is now calling for a change in EU treaty law to allow the expulsion from the euro zone of a country that fails to abide by EU rules on debt and deficits. The obvious target is Greece. But Merkel's outburst was also a challenge to France, which has regularly flouted EU fiscal criteria—especially when Sarkozy was finance minister under Jacques Chirac.

Paris longs for a return to the days when the EU was run by a Franco-German axis, as it was under Valéry Giscard d'Estaing and Helmut Schmidt in the 1970s, or Mitterrand and Helmut Kohl in the 1980s, or Chirac and Gerhard Schröder when they united against the Bush-Blair war in Iraq. But Sarkozy and Merkel have never gotten along. They don't speak the same political language, and her austere social conservatism is the antithesis of his hedonistic style.

As Sarkozy fiddles, France's new Socialist Party leader, Martine Aubry, has calmly been building her team. This quiet approach paid off in the recent elections, as the French voted against their anything-but-quiet president. And the Socialists hold a powerful card they have yet to play. The current head of the International Monetary Fund is Dominique Strauss-Kahn, a Socialist who won plaudits as Europe's best finance minister in the 1990s. Now, like a latter-day de Gaulle, Strauss-Kahn lurks in the wings, preparing to challenge Sarkozy's lackluster administration in the 2012 presidential race. Bad midterm elections with a low turnout are not precise guides to the upcoming national contest. But Sarkozy has lost his invincibility and, for France's Socialists, that just might make the difference...

HERMAN VAN ROMPUY USING FINANCIAL CRISIS IN EUROPE TO POWER GRAB

    February 10, 2010

EU President’s secret bid for economic power

The new President of the European Council, Herman Van Rompuy, is using the financial crisis sweeping the eurozone to launch an audacious grab for power over national budgets, leaked documents reveal.

The Independent has seen a secret annexe to the letter being sent by Mr Van Rompuy to European Union heads of government inviting them to the summit to be held tomorrow in Brussels. In an early and muscular assertion of authority over national governments and over the EU Commission, the Van Rompuy note states: "Members of the European Council are responsible for the economic strategy in their government. They should do the same at EU level. Whether it is called co-ordination of policies or economic government, only the European Council is capable of delivering and sustaining a common European strategy for more growth and more jobs."

Mr Van Rompuy states that "the crisis has revealed our weaknesses", adding: "Budgetary plans, structural reform programmes and climate change reporting should be presented simultaneously to the Commission [his italics]. This will provide a comprehensive overview."

Here is one more encroachment upon the national sovereignty of eurozone countries. The very thing that was NOT supposed to happen under the original agreements.

EU wants member countries to co-ordinate budgets

The European Commission wants EU countries to co-ordinate plans for national budgets in a move to strengthen financial co-operation.

It would involve submitting budgets to the EU for a "peer review", possibly before they go to national parliaments.

Some reports suggested the proposal would involve just the 16 countries using the euro currency, though this has not been made clear.

The Commission said its aim was to help prevent another EU financial crisis.

But the move, controversial as it would mean encroaching on sovereign territory, was immediately criticised by Sweden's prime minister.

As I said before, no undo disrespect intended, but I have to question the capabilities of a journalist that needs help digging up info on one of the most written about and reported on characters in the environmental movement. That is not to say there was not a time when Maurice operated in secret, just that these days his profile is out there, and his current actions are simply a click away.

Obama's Grotesque Move to Join the "Alliance of Civilizations": "the dhimmitude syndrome"

WASHINGTON — U.S. officials say the Obama administration is preparing to join an international advisory group that the United States has largely shunned over fears it would adopt anti-Israeli and anti-Western stances.

The officials say the administration plans to announce soon it will begin a formal relationship with the Alliance of Civilizations.

The alliance is a United Nations-backed organization that seeks to ease strains between societies and cultures, particularly the West and Islam, and promote better ties. However, the U.S. boycotted the group when it was founded in 2005 over concerns it would become a forum for bashing Israel and the United States.

The officials say those concerns have now been addressed. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the move publicly.

New World Order is now complete...

It took them a long time. I was stupid not to realize the obvious fact. Here we are, finally, united in a new world order of happiness and a future so bright that I have to wear shades. For most people much like myself, we always thought it was the United States and the armed citizenry that stalled and prevented the establishment of this new order, both economic and political. Sadly us Americentric types focused on our nation as the center of the universe failed to see the big picture and I did not realize until tonight that it was not Presidents Bush and Obama that prevented the new order from taking hold. It was not the Tea Party, Republican Party or the Libertarian Party which obstructed the globalist regime. It was not Joe Redneck, Joe Six-Pack or Joe the Plumber that intimidated or slowed down the establishment of this order.

It was our friends in Europe.

And last night a shotgun wedding was performed, Miss America, meet your groom, the European Union.

The idea that the European Union needed $1 trillion to bail out Greece, Italy, Ireland, Portugal, and Spain is absurd. Even if all of that money was obtainable on the open markets or via fiat creation it does nothing to repair or restore the economic engine of hybrid Corporatist Statism, but does indicate the level of desperation that the powers in the West are willing to resort to in a last ditch effort to insure the expansion of and maintenance of their fortunes and power. Here we are, at the crux of another crisis and a “miracle” cure is found by creating more debt to service, not pay off, existing debt from various member nations who were resistant to the idea of a unified political structure. Ireland and the other PIIGS nations wanted no part of a unified Parliamentary structure for the EU with the ability to dictate law and settle on a series of Constitutionally mandated rights for the member nations. Yet here we are with those very nations who opposed such a regime surrendering their economic freedoms and in turn insuring such an animal will exist, a beast to America’s east.

    NWO now complete cont...

Despite years of people calling others ‘tinfoil freaks’ of whom I have been guilty of that years and years ago, the conspiracy is not that nor has it been for two years now. The conspiracy has turned into a course of action where people are being deceived into believing that according to the leaders of the West, aka the United States and Europe, that there is no other choice if we wish to survive as a civilization. Common sense tells the informed citizen otherwise but the panic and hysteria created on an almost scheduled, regular basis, be it an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, financial crisis, war, or terrorist act keeps many citizens from understanding or realizing the activities being undertaken behind the scenes. How many people realize that the new financial reform package expands the powers of the Federal Reserve to the point of extra-Constitutional authorities not implied nor given to the Executive Branch as written within that damned piece of paper? How many people who run a small business now understand that starting in 2012 you have to give a 1099 to every vendor you purchase $600 or more from? How many citizens understand that Homeland Security is working with the Congress to create a standardized National Identification program under the guise of the Health Care legislation to provide the ability to monitor not just the consumption patterns of citizens but the transportation habits, domestic and international, of our citizens to enable further taxation due to the risks created by those who can afford to travel to and fro?

And that’s just the United States side of the equation. Once the European Parliament convenes when the dust settles and the last fire from the riots are extinguished, the Eurosheeple much like the Amerisheeple will begin to understand that gee, we really do have a lot in common and perhaps unifying our financial systems and legal systems would be a logical extension from where we are now. The fact that we just put their precious European Monetary Union into debt to the Federal Reserve via the currency swaps and the International Monetary Fund loan program does sort of entitle those who are in charge to demand concessions of the citizens to insure a guarantee of repayment and streamlining of operations now, doesn’t it?

    NWO now complete cont...

The next wave of the now completed new order will be to unify financial and corporate regulatory regimes because we “have to” and thus with that logic our sovereign rights along with the individual participants within the EU will agree to do the same. Beyond that, the human rights campaigns masked by their Eurosocialist masters will demand we in turn surrender key freedoms and rights as provided by the Constitution to insure financial and corporate stability, thus leaving the American citizen with no voice because we will have none in this matter.

The end game arrived with little fanfare but as expected a warning shot across the bow of the world economies with the shock of last Thursday. The Untied States has a banking cartel which was already engaged to be married to their Eurosocialist brethren but the right trigger event was never created to insure that the “people” would cooperate in such an event. Americans, due to the demographic shift, will support any and all actions that guarantee their retirement accounts as large numbers of the Baby Boomer generation is more than happy to sell the rest of us out to insure a comfortable period of time from retirement to their death. The Eurosocialist want to protect their 32 hour work week with 12 weeks of vacation so they are willing to accept a more “diversified” society if the United States citizens are willing to pay for it, thus they will accept their new immigrants, their new laws, and their new compliance with a budding world council to manage their affairs because after all the “New World” is going to share in their pain.

Thus the table has been set. Elections are somewhat irrelevant in the United States after the 2010 mid-term election unless upwards of 50% of the incumbents are turned out at every level, be it dog catcher or Congressman. The path has been set upon not by a desperation to insure world peace, as many thought it would in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, but instead a dying desire to make sure they can retire with their surround sound DVD player and golf every Thursday with Bob at the community country club. The Greatest Generation, the ones who fought and died during World War II and endured the pains of the Great Depression of the 1930’s have finally given way. The Sellout Generation, their spawn, will insure world peace and stability for a generation to come.

By enslaving us all to the whims of a cartel of corporatist Marxists hell bent on a twisted Fascist world domination.

Regarding New World Order Now Complete....BRAVO!!! If you also posted the article about obama's move to join the Alliance of Civilizations, BRAVO again!

The reason why I have been posting all the articles about the Greek bailout is because the "ripple effect" is going to involve more countries than Greece and is providing the EU elite in Brussels with an excuse to troll for central, politburo-like control of national economies of individual eurozone member states whether their spending habits need to be controlled or not!!!

France's support of the bailout of Greece has not been done solely out of any concern for the "rights of man" or out of the "goodness of her little black heart."

French support is self-interested to the degree that France's own spending habits are in violation of the original EU agreements governing the change to the euro!

Britain has been warned it will be punished by Europe if the pound is hit by a financial crisis, after refusing to support a massive euro bail-out

    http://tinyurl.com/2963o22

OHHH, this is going to get ugly. So a Britain that is on the verge of bankruptcy is being told they will not receive help if crisis hits them. The IMF is juggling behind the scenes, and their are talks of a downgrade in Britains rating, which could lead to said bankruptcy. Of course this could lead to the IMF stepping in without formal support of the Eurozone, which could lead to a international buyout. All of this of course would only serve to bypass Britains citizenry who have become increasingly aware of the incremental steps toward global governance. I knew the Greek bailout would have a ripple effect, I just did not expect it to become evident so quickly.

MANY GREEKS BLAME FOREIGNERS FOR THEIR CRISIS

    By Manfred Ertel in Athens

.....But like the political opposition, radio star Georgios Trangas also seems oblivious to the country's economic reality. In searching for people to blame, Trangas, like many of his fellow Greeks, likes to look beyond the country's borders. "What did European governments really know about Greece's indebtedness, and why did they allow it?" he asks. He says that is a "very important question" for him. It's a question that many ordinary Greeks are also discussing heatedly at the moment.
Trangas is great at posing questions, but less great at answering them. "I don't understand at all how a European politician like Chancellor Merkel could allow the IMF, under the influence of the Americans, into the euro zone," he says. "What business does it have being here?"

But when asked what the alternative would have been, he does not provide an answer but merely says: "The fact the IMF is here and is demanding measures under the influence of the Americans is providing fuel for the protests." Anti-American sentiment, something that has long been very popular in Greece, is flourishing anew these days -- and it is now fuelling the arguments of those who oppose the rigorous austerity program.

The secret of one section of Greek society is to blame others or create myths in order to avoid the harsh reality. For example, people -- including serious journalists, politicians and entrepreneurs -- could be heard everywhere claiming it was actually "provocateurs" who were to blame for last week's arson attacks, rather than irresponsible rioters -- despite the fact that the perpetrators had actually been seen. They also accused the government of being involved, saying it had wanted to discredit the protesters..

Here is another gem from Der Spiegel:

EU IN CRISIS: A NIGHTMARE FOR THE EUROPEAN DREAM

Political unity, a common currency, border-free travel and lasting peace. The European Union was to have become a kind of eternal utopia. Instead, no one has dared to further develop Europe since the days of Helmut Kohl. Now, the EU is looking decidedly mortal.

Making Europe immortal is a very old idea. After being struck by one of Eros's arrows, Zeus, the father of all Greek gods, fell madly in love with Europa, the daughter of the Phoenician king. When he later realized that his beloved was doomed to pursue the path of an ordinary mortal, he named a continent after her and proclaimed: "You shall be immortal, Europa, because the continent that has accepted your body shall bear your name for all time."

You shall be immortal, Europa? The current euro crisis reveals that it isn't quite as easy as Zeus implied.

"Oh, Europe," Hans Magnus Enzensberger sighed in the title of his book, published years ago, in which he summarized "perceptions," or fictitious reports, from seven different countries. Today, "Oh, Europe" are the words any true Europhile must be exclaiming with a sigh...

...After the common currency was introduced, the next logical step would have been to announce the goal of forming a joint military -- not as a utopia, a desire or a vision, but as a solid goal.

Instead, Europe has been disintegrating since Maastricht. The house grew bigger and bigger, while becoming more and more warped and wobbly at the same time. More and more additions were built, even though the foundation wasn't really designed to handle those additions.

As a result, politicians, in their desperation, resorted to declaring a two-speed Europe. Or, like Wolfgang Schäuble and Karl Lamers in 1994, creating an ambitious core Europe and assuming that the slower nations would eventually catch up.

It was a pathetic display, and it has long since become reality. The lack of borders represented by the name of a small Luxembourg wine-growing village, Schengen, only became reality in eight countries at first, with the euro dividing the EU into participants and non-participants. Europe, a potentially strong entity, has become a bureaucratic monster and a bad design. The new common foreign policy does nothing to change this. It doesn't give Europe the single telephone number Kissinger once wished it could have, but instead adds even more extensions to an already long list.

REwind a little on this one!

The Mystery of Barack Obama Continues

By Steve Baldwin, Exclusive to Western Center for Journalism

Most Americans don’t realize we have elected a president whom we know very little about.
Pictured: Barack Obama’s Autobiography, Dreams from My Father.

Pictured: Barack Obama’s Autobiography, Dreams from My Father.

Researchers have discovered that Obama’s autobiographical books are little more than PR stunts, as they have little to do with the actual events of his life. The fact is we know less about President Obama than perhaps any other president in American history and much of this is due to actual efforts to hide his record. This should concern all Americans.

A nation-wide network of researchers has sprung up to attempt to fill in the blanks, but at every opportunity Obama’s high-priced lawyers have built walls around various records or simply made them disappear. It is estimated that Obama’s legal team has now spent well over $1.4 million dollars blocking access to documents every American should have access to. The question is why would he spend so much money to do this?

The president who campaigned for a more “open government” and “full disclosure” will not unseal his medical records, his school records, his birth records or his passport records. He will not release his Harvard records, his Columbia College records, or his Occidental College records—he will not even release his Columbia College thesis. All his legislative records from the Illinois State Senate are missing and he claims his scheduling records during those State Senate years are lost as well. In addition, no one can find his school records for the elite K-12 college prep school, Punahou School, he attended in Hawaii.

What is he hiding? Well, for starters, some of these records will shed light on his citizenship and birth.
Pictured: “Scott & Barry, 3rd grade 1969” Punahou School in Hawaii.

Pictured: “Scott & Barry, 3rd grade 1969” Punahou School in Hawaii.

For example, Obama’s application to Punahou School – now mysteriously missing – would likely contain a birth certificate. And, according to attorney Gary Kreep, “his Occidental College records are important as they may show he attended there as a foreign exchange student.” Indeed, Obama used his Indonesian name “Barry Soetoro” while attending Occidental. Kreep has filed lawsuits challenging Obama’s eligibility to be president and as part of his lawsuit he requested Obama’s records from Occidental. However, Obama’s lawyers quickly moved to stop Occidental from honoring this request.
Furthermore, now that at least three document authentication experts have declared the scanned “Certificate of Live Birth” Obama’s campaign team gave to a pro-Obama website to be an obvious phony; we know that he is hiding something here as well.

Over 49 separate law suits have been filed on the eligibility/birth certificate issue alone, with several of the suits making it all the way the United States Supreme Court, only to be denied a full hearing.
Pictured: Saudi Prince Al-Walid bin Talah

    ReplyDelete
  52. no name10:28 PM

    continue:

What’s more, there are questions about how he paid for his Harvard Law School education since, despite a claim by Michele Obama, no one has produced any evidence that he received student loans. The Obamas will not release any student loan details despite repeated requests from the Chicago Tribune. However, it appears that his Harvard education may have been paid for by a foreign source. Khalid Al-Mansour, an advisor to Saudi prince Al-Walid bin Talah, told Manhattan Borough president, Percy Sutton, that he was raising money for Obama’s Harvard tuition. Incidentally, Prince Tala is the largest donor to CAIR, a Muslim group declared by the U.S. Government in 2007 as an unindicted co-conspirator in a terrorist financing trial. At least three of CAIR’s leaders have been indicted for terrorist activities. Al-Mansour’s admission opens up speculation as to whether Muslim interests have assisted Obama’s career in the hope he would eventually be in a position someday to promote their interests.

More recently, it was discovered that Obama’s Selective Service card may have been doctored. Federal law requires all American males to register for the Selective Service (the draft) in case a major war broke out. Blogger Debbie Schlussel has discovered solid evidence that Obama’s Selective Service registration form was submitted not when he was younger as required, but rather in 2008 and then altered to look older. Indeed, the forgers forgot to alter the “Document Location Number” which shows that it is clearly a 2008 form. This is fraud and it’s a felony and Schlussel allegations are backed up by Stephen Coffman, a former high-ranking Federal agent. Moreover, the document shows a September 4th, 1980 date and the location of the transaction as Hawaii, but at that time Obama was thousands of miles away attending Occidental College in Los Angeles.

    ReplyDelete
  53. no name10:30 PM

    continue:

The real reason why Obama probably did not submit this form as a teenager is that he assumed his Kenyan or Indonesian citizenship exempted him from this requirement. But clearly, as he grew older and entered politics, he saw that any documents revealing a foreign birth – Selective Service registration, birth certificate, school applications, etc – would be problematic if he ran for the presidency. Thus, it is not a coincidence that every document which contains information about his birth or citizenship is either missing, sealed, or has been altered.

Indeed, everywhere one looks into Obama’s background, we find sealed records, scrubbed websites, altered documents, deception and unanswered questions. Can anyone imagine for a second if John McCain or George Bush had blocked access to his school, medical, and birth records? It would have been headlines but as with everything else concerning Obama, the media has given him a pass on this.

Of all these marvels, the latest mystery and probably most perplexing is that of Obama’s social security number. It appears that Obama has multiple identities in term of possessing numerous social security numbers. Orly Taitz, an attorney who has filed numerous suits against Obama regarding his eligibility to serve as president, appears to be the first to discover this. In her suit, representing a number of military officers who are refusing to serve under an ineligible commander in chief, she hired private investigator Neil Sankey to conduct research on Obama’s prior addresses and Social Society numbers. Using Intelius, Lexis Nexis, Choice Point and other public records, Sankey found around 25 Social Security numbers connected with Obama’s name.

    ReplyDelete
  54. no name10:31 PM

    continue:

However, it may not be as many as 25, since Sankey also searched using closely related names such as: “Barak Obama,” “Batock Obama,” “Barok Obama,” and “Barrack Obama.” There may very well be some Kenyans living in America with the same last name and a similar first name. In any case, I will exclude these records for the purpose of this research and focus only on names spelled exactly like his name. Moreover, we can verify many of the Social Security numbers as valid since they’re connected to addresses at which we know Obama resided. Needless to say, there are also a slew of address and social security numbers connected to addresses in states that Obama has no known connection to.

In Obama’s home state, Illinois, Sankey tracked down 16 different addresses for a Barack Obama or a Barack H. Obama, of which all are addresses he was known to have lived at. Two Social Security numbers appear for these addresses, one beginning with 042 and one starting 364.

In California, where Obama attended Occidental College, there are six addresses listed for him, all within easy driving distance of the college. However, there are three Social Security numbers connected to these addresses, 537 and two others, each beginning with 999.

There are no addresses listed in New York where he attended Columbia University, but there is one listed for him in nearby Jackson, NJ, with a Social Security number beginning with 485.
Pictured: 713 Hart Senate Office Building.

Pictured: 713 Hart Senate Office Building.

In Massachusetts – where Obama attended Harvard Law School – we find three addresses, all using the 042 Social Security number. After Obama was elected to the United States Senate in 2005, he moved into an apartment at 300 Massachusetts Ave NW; the Social Security number attached to that address is the 042 one. Yet, three years later, Obama used a different Social Security number for an address listed as: 713 Hart Senate Office Building. This was the address of his United States Senate office. This Social Security number began with 282 and was verified by the government in 2008.

This mystery grows even stranger as other addresses and Social Security numbers for Barack Obama appear in a dozen other states not known to be connected to him. Again, I am excluding those records names not spelled exactly like his name.

Tennessee, one address with a Social Security number beginning with 427

Colorado, one address, with a Social Security number beginning with 456.

Utah, two addresses, with two Social Security numbers beginning with 901 and 799.

Missouri has one address and one Social Security number beginning with 999.

Florida has two addresses listed for his him, three if you count one listed as “Barry Obama.” One is connected to a Social Security number beginning with 762.

In Georgia there are three addresses listed for him, all with different Social Security numbers: 579, 420, and 423.

In Texas there are four different addresses listed for him, one is connected to Social Security number 675.

There are two addresses listed for Barack Obama in Oregon and one address listed for him in
the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, South Carolina, and Pennsylvania.

All told, there are 49 addresses and 16 different Social Security numbers listed for a person whose name is spelled “Barack Obama.” In some cases, the middle initial “H” is listed. If you were to expand the search to include closely related names such as: “Barac,” “Barak,” and “Barrack” Obama, you would find more than a dozen additional addresses and Social Security numbers.

Finally, the one Social Security number Obama most frequently used, the one beginning with 042, is a number issued in Connecticut sometime during 1976-1977, yet there is no record of Obama ever living or working in Connecticut. Indeed, during this time period Obama would have been 15-16 years old and living in Hawaii at the time.

Nevertheless, all this mystery surrounding Obama appears to be a generational thing. Researchers have discovered nearly a dozen aliases, at least two different Social Security numbers, and upwards of over 99 separate addresses for Ann Dunham, his mother. We do know she worked for the ultra liberal Ford Foundation but we also know she may have earned some income from pornographic poses, as evidenced by photos recently discovered by some researchers—how embarrassing. The only thing researchers are able to find out about Obama’s mother is the fact she made porn. I’m sure that’s a first for presidential mothers.

But we also know that Obama’s mother and grandparents associated with Communist Party leaders such as Frank Marshall Davis, a man who, according to Obama’s book, Dreams from my Father, was his main mentor during much of his Hawaiian boyhood (although Obama tried to disguise his identity in his book). During the Cold War, Davis was named by congressional investigators as a key member of a secretive pro-Soviet networked that existed in Hawaii at that time.
Pictured: Communist Party leader, Frank Marshall Davis.

Pictured: Communist Party leader, Frank Marshall Davis.

The lack of documents regarding Obama also extends to his mother and to his grandparents. Indeed, researchers have been unable to find marriage licenses for his mother’s two marriages, assuming she was ever legally married. Ditto goes for the marriage license for Ann’s parents. They cannot find birth certificates for her, her parents, or for even for her grandparents. Even more so, despite Obama’s boast of his grandfather’s military service, there’s no record of that either. For reasons no one knows, much of Obama’s life, his mother’s life and his grandparent’s life has been erased from the records as if they never existed.

But why would someone obtain so many Social Security numbers? According to investigators, those who create additional Social Society numbers are typically engaged in criminal activities such as Social Security fraud, tax fraud, real estate fraud, campaign contributions fraud, voter fraud and so on. While the private investigator who compiled this list says multiple social security numbers does not automatically prove there’s criminal activity involved, he states that “having said that, I have personally experienced many, many cases where such information has led to subsequent exposure of fraud, deception, money laundering and other crimes.“What is interesting to note is that Obama’s grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, was a volunteer at the Oahu Circuit Court probate department and had access to the Social Security numbers of deceased people.
Pictured: Barrack Obama and his Grandmother, Madelyn Dunham. “Madeline Dunham was a volunteer at the Oahu Circuit Court probate department and had access to the Social Security numbers of deceased people.”

It is clear that more research needs to be done on this issue. The Western Center for Journalism
( http://www.westernjournalism.com) is inviting our readers to join the search for the truth. If you have any information about any of the addresses listed, we would love to hear from you. To find a complete list of all the addresses and Social Security numbers listed in the public record for Obama and family, please go to the Western Center for Journalism.

Why is the SS number(s) such a big deal? Everybody knows the Pres has a hard time with numbers, as in 57 states, or as in thinking an ever increasing deficit is a good thing, or the estimates of how much mandated (and unconstitutional) healthcare will actually bring costs down... etc. etc.

President Nicolas Sarkozy 'threatened to pull France out of euro'

President Nicolas Sarkozy slammed his fist on the table and threatened to pull France out of the euro at a meeting of European leaders deciding Greece's aid package last Friday, according to Spain's El Pais newspaper.

By a Reuters reporter in Madrid
    Published: 12:12PM BST 14 May 2010

The newspaper cited comments by Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero to members of his party on Wednesday as relayed by people present at that meeting.

A spokesman for the Spanish Prime Minister's office confirmed the meeting between Zapatero and other socialist party members on Wednesday, but could not immediately confirm what was said at the meeting.

Sarkozy demanded a "commitment from everyone to suppport Greece...or France would reconsider its position in the euro," according to one source cited by El Pais.

Another source present at the meeting between Zapatero and his party members and cited by the paper said: "Sarkozy ended up banging his fist on the table and threatening to leave the euro...This forced Angela Merkel to give in and reach an agreement."

The European Union and International Monetary Fund agreed a 110 billion euro rescue plan for Greece last week. But Germany, which must shoulder a good deal of the burden, had proven reluctant to commit itself to a plan.

Zapatero told his party members that France, Italy and Spain had formed a united front against Germany at the Brussels meeting and that Sarkozy had threatened to break up a traditional France-Germany "hold" on the rest of Europe, according to El Pais.

The Elysee had no comment on the El Pais article.

    The Other European Volcano

When Greece started to erupt, the volcanic ash spread over the social democrats’ smug vision of a perfect European Union.

Five years ago, the European Union’s account of itself resonated with end-of history triumphalism. In organic fashion, democratic socialism would spread eastward and southward, recivilizing the old Warsaw Pact and the Balkans through cradle-to-grave entitlements, state unionism, radical environmentalism, and utopian pacifism. No wonder that Turkey begged — and often humiliated itself in the process — to get inside this more perfect union.

Over here, we were often lectured by “progressives” that almost everything Europe did was better — subsidized mass transit, free college tuition, extended maternity leave, early retirement, and “soft-power” diplomacy. Indeed, Obama’s presidential campaign was in some senses a stealthy referendum on Europeanization. And once he was elected, his moves to raise taxes, expand government, expropriate some private industries, run up exponentially increasing deficits, subsidize environmentalism, and triangulate with enemies and allies abroad were European Union to the core.

Few wanted to listen when it was pointed out — well before the Greek meltdown — that on key questions of demography and immigration, the future of the European Union was bleak. The very idea that, in historical terms, socialism, agnosticism, pacifism, and hedonism were not only interrelated and synergistic, but also suicidal for civilization, was considered crackpot.

I know of two website where the teachers think the AC will come out of the Seleucid revived empire (let's see, I guess that is Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Afghan, Pak, Lebanon, and three others to make up ten. And the leader will emerge connected to Ninevah or the Syrian portion of Iraq.
One of these hosts think the Church will be raptured before the AC comes on the scene; the other is into preparation for surviving the Trib and a post-Trib rapture.

They are not therefore as interested in the EU except where Seleucid descended "bloodlines" might impinge there (one of them is the bloodline person, I don't know if the other one, the Pre-Trib rapture person, is into "bloodlines."

But there are remnants of ancient bloodlines, mentioned in the Bible, in all of these nations of the Seleucid Empire.

My husband has a great grasp on all this financial stuff. He told me with this French announcement, it will put more pressure on Germany to pull out. He went on to say that whoever is the first to pull out of the European Monetary Fund will be the biggest winner. With those who follow getting less and less benefit.

On Spain, he called me to notice the same pattern it was following that Greece went through. Portugal is next after Spain.

    Dawn and All,

That is a very interesting interview.

What is unsettling is that originally, the European Central Bank, which is all about the euro, was supposed to be independent of governments.

The ECG decision to buy government debt may have weakened its independence.

It has been pointed out by some economists that in order to successfully sustain a common currency a common government is needed.

But this begs the question whose government and what kind of government???

The chairman of the European Central Bank is Jean-Claude Trichet, a French civil servant!!!

Although Trichet was acquitted, he was one of nine men on trial for their part in the Credit Lyonnais scandal, which culminated in a 31bn-euro ($33.7bn) bailout by the government.

During the 1980s, the then state-owned Credit Lyonnais lent money exuberantly, plunged into the red when many loans turned bad, and then cooked the books to disguise its losses.

Mr Duisenberg won the battle first time around

Credit Lyonnais' lending record, and the process by which it has been restructured, was put under investigation, and Mr Trichet, a top Treasury official at the time, was accused of complicity in producing those misleading accounts.

Cleaning up the bank, which involved transferring much of the bad debt into another entity, is estimated to be costing the French taxpayer as much as 30bn euros (£19bn; $31bn).

Most pundits had predicted that the French Government would contrive some way of freeing up Mr Trichet, who remains their preferred candidate.

Originally, the Germans did not want Trichet to head the ECB.

...His (Trichet's) failure to clinch the (ECB) job first time around was the result of a political stitch-up, when Germany got cold feet over the idea of having a Frenchman at Europe's economic helm, and insisted on the neutrally Dutch Mr Duisenberg.

At the time, there was an agreement that Mr Duisenberg would step down halfway through his term, to make way for Mr Trichet, and keep the Franco-German EU axis trouble-free.

After some foot-dragging, Mr Duisenberg eventually agreed to step aside almost a year ago,(2002-2003?) and is due to clear his desk this summer.

Trichet: That is ridiculous! We take our decisions completely independently and have a track record of taking positions contrary to those of the heads of state and government -- in 2004 in refusing to decrease rates, in 2005 in increasing rates against their wishes, and throughout this period in fiercely defending the Stability and Growth Pact including defending it against the German chancellor of the time. Just who has been weak over the past few months? It was not the ECB. The governments with their high debts were weak. Was I weak myself when I explained to all floor leaders in the Bundestag (Germany's federal parliament) just why it was important to decide rapidly? Was I weak when I informed the heads of state and government in full independence that the situation was grave and that they had to live up to their responsibilities? We took our decision on Sunday in full independence

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) - A radical cleric called Saturday for the creation of a "Greater Iran" that would rule over the entire Middle East and Central Asia, in an event that he said would herald the coming of Islam's expected messiah.

Ayatollah Mohammad Bagher Kharrazi said the creation of what he calls an Islamic United States is a central aim of the political party he leads called Hezbollah, or Party of God, and that he hoped to make it a reality if they win the next presidential election.

Kharrazi's comments reveal the thinking of a growing number of hard-liners in Iran, many of whom have become more radical during the postelection political crisis and the international standoff over the country's nuclear program. Kharrazi, however, is not highly influential in Iran's clerical hierarchy and his views do not represent those of the current government.

Kharrazi's comments were published Saturday in his newspaper, Hezbollah.

There's some people here in the Battle Creek and Kalamazoo area who are really into yoga as some magic answer for autism. It is stupid. I can't see that working for my son and I wouldn't allow it. I don't do the nutritional thing either with him. If we did, he wouldn't eat anything.

Following a hunch, I found many links to Verichip and RFID technology. I'm most certain that JD and Susanna are already on its case, but this brought home to me in a new forceful way that the push is indeed on and is being actively propagandized as the new expected norm in all professions and industrial areas. 80. Just found this on a blogging spot monitoring these developments and it has to do with a company named SIX SIGNA:

    "
A Cincinnati company is requiring any employee who works in its secure data center to be implanted with a microchip.
The video surveillance company CityWatcher.com injected two of its employees in the triceps area of the arm with the VeriChip, a glass-encapsulated RFID, or radio-frequency identification, tag, according to Liz McIntyre, co-author of "Spychips: How Major Corporations and Government Plan to Track Your Every Move with RFID."

CityWatcher.com's Network Administrator Khary Williams spoke with McIntyre by phone Wednesday after the company announced it had integrated the VeriChip VeriGuard product into its access control system.

The tag can be read through clothing from a few inches away.

The highly controversial device is being marketed as a way to access secure areas, link to medical records and make purchases like a credit card.

As WorldNetDaily reported, when former Secretary of Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy Thompson joined the VeriChip Corp. board of directors, he pledged to get chipped and encouraged Americans to do the same so their electronic medical records would be available in emergencies.

But McIntyre and co-author Katherine Albrecht contacted VeriChip Corp. in December and were told the chipping never took place.

VeriChip spokesman John Procter said Thompson had been "too busy" to undergo the procedure, adding that he had no clear plans to do so.

CityWatcher's Williams said a local doctor already has implanted two of the company's employees with the VeriChip devices.

"I will eventually" receive an implant, too, he added.

Meanwhile, Williams accesses the data center with a VeriChip implant housed in a heart-shaped plastic casing that hangs from his key chain.

He told McIntyre he had no reservations about having the procedure and would do it as soon as time permits.

But McIntyre says she's worried that CityWatchers – a government contractor specializing in surveillance projects – would be the first publicly to incorporate the technology in the workplace.

CityWatcher provides video surveillance, monitoring and video storage for government and businesses, with cameras set up on public streets throughout Cincinnati.

The company hopes the VeriChip will bolster its proximity or "prox" card security system that controls access to the room where the video footage is stored, said Gary Retherford of Six Sigma Security, Inc., the company that provided the VeriChip technology."

    Constance and All,

Regarding Six Sigma, here is something that cought my eye. Central vs. local control in Europe!

DEPLOYING SIX SIGMA: CHALLENGE FOR PAN EUROPEAN MANAGER

...Most deployment strategies focus on making sure that local organizations are well aligned and committed to the program. What many European leaders forget is to think through the impact on the central functions. If the deployment is driven on the local level, how can the company balance the impact on the central functions? How will it make sure that critical specialists are available to the project teams while supporting the business? What changes in central systems such as ERP or management systems will result, and how can those be coordinated and prioritized? If the deployment is led by the central functions, how does the company replicate improvements of local processes, and how does it make sure these improvements work? How will the company balance the benefits of local improvements with the cost resulting at the central level?

What a manager with pan-European responsibility quickly realizes is that he or she cannot delegate the decisions relative to Six Sigma to a local forum or a central staff person. Business processes are critical to create value for customers and shareholders. Changes in these processes have strategic implications. The potential of Six Sigma to overburden the organization is often underestimated.

    Conclusion: Minimizing Cultural Conflicts

At first sight, Six Sigma could be mistaken for a tool. Pan-European executives should take a closer look and understand their options to adjust the deployment to the needs of their organization. In the European context, the typical conflict between central and local functions is amplified by cultural differences and organizational history. An effective deployment strategy minimizes this conflict and aims at maximizing the benefits. To develop such a strategy, one must understand the current organizational culture - both across the organization and within each of the local businesses

.....Planning in the Chinese sense, has encompassed a wide variety of bureaucratic arrangements, Generally, they may be thought of as regulatory bodies. Even with the devolutopmn of power to the enterprise level, areas of ambiguities remain, which can only be resolved through local accomidation. The resistance of local supervisory bodies to the withdrawal of their direct control
of an enterprise may necessitate such forms of compormise. the chinese tradition of administration through quasi-feudal relationships aggravate the problem, since a firm's loyalty receives compensatory preferential treatment and performance goals are established by negotiation. thus, there is a danger that loosening of strict bureaucratic governance constraints will result in institutional and infrastructural imperatives being channeled back(1999.) China uses six sigma to make sure that it still has a socialist market economy wherein the focus os on their people. Six sigma gives the country leverage in making sure that it gives the citizens and clients satisfaction....

The antisemitism is going mainstream and getting as ugly as that which is usually found in left and right fringe groups.

Anti-Catholic propaganda is found in the emotional writings, which are never documented statistically, about pedophilia. Anti-Christian writings usually focus on distortions of Biblical writings, and are spread through movies, television, magazines, etc.

Yes, New Age is a resurgence of Nazism. Better believe it.

Hungary Court Confirms $2.5 Million Fine on Soros Fund

BUDAPEST (Reuters) - New York-based Soros Fund Management LLC will have to pay a fine of 489 million forints ($2.5 million) for unlawful trades in shares of OTP Bank , market regulator PSZAF said.

PSZAF said on Friday a Hungarian court rejected an appeal in a final ruling against the fine handed out in March 2009.

The fine related to a complicated series of deals just before the market closed on October 9, 2008, which PSZAF said improperly influenced the market and led to a plunge in the price of the shares of the country's biggest bank.

The deals were struck in a period when Hungary's financial and capital markets were roiled by the global crisis, and affected a stock that heavily influences Hungary's BUX <.BUX> equity index, PSZAF said last year.

In October 2008 Hungary became the first European Union member forced to turn for aid to the International Monetary Fund.

Soros Fund Management LLC was founded by Hungarian-born businessman George Soros.

This was sent to me by an individual in Ireland who wishes to remain anonymous because Ireland is such a small country.

I am attaching a brochure sent to me the other day from the Community Workers Cooperative, an organization for which I have a lot of respect. I am increasingly concerned however that it is being hijacked by NA, as is much of the community sector in Ireland. I am not familiar with all the organizations listed but the brochure does illustrate how intertwined the covert NA agenda is with local politics. I want to point out a couple of things to you:

Cultivate is in my view the key player here. It is the most prominent NGO in Ireland that is pushing a NA agenda. For instance, Matthew Fox spoke there a couple of years ago. If you go to their website you will see how NA is mixed into all kinds of really excellent initiatives which are grouped under what I now know to be a very suspect term, "sustainable development." They also throw a little spirituality into the mix:

http://www.cultivate.ie/ to see the brochure for the conference

Next, you will see that Dublin City government is a sponsor of this conference along with all these other groups. This shows how closely grass-roots community organizations, some of which have strong NA influence, are tied into local government over here.

Third, you will see that several of the participants are involved, once again, in issues that are of great importance to communities here such as development of local enterprise. I don't have the time to get into the structure of how the community sector is structured over here statutorily, but they are given a lot of responsibility for economic development. In this way, the NA agenda can be pushed in the context of bringing businesses (and jobs) to local areas. Who could possibly object to this? It really boggles the mind.

Here is what it says about who should attend:

Change makers, urban designers, planners, traffic

engineers, architects, city councilors, city development

boards, civil servants, business leaders, property

    developers, environmental awareness and Local

Agenda 21 officers, community organisations, and
    environmental NGOs

One more thing: Here is a link to our local Catholic paper.
    http://www.alive.ie/archives.php
    They do a wonderful job.
Someone who is basically a good person basically called this newspaper the most putrid and evil thing imaginable. I don't think he is a New Ager. I do, however, think he has been gravely deceived by the hijacking of "social justice" (which he and I both believe in--there is a strong tradition in Catholicism of what is called "Catholic Social Teaching") by a NA agenda, to believe that Catholics are evil.

  93. Take a look at what's being covered via Fox News!!!

Where’s Jimmy? Just Google His Bar Code

Scientists tag animals to monitor their behavior and keep track of endangered species. Now some futurists are asking whether all of mankind should be tagged too. Looking for a loved one? Just Google his microchip.

The chips, called radio frequency identification (RFID) tags, emit a simple radio signal akin to a bar code, anywhere, anytime. Futurists say they can be easily implanted under the skin on a person’s arm.

Already, the government of Mexico has surgically implanted the chips, the size of a grain of rice, in the upper arms of staff at the attorney general’s office in Mexico City. The chips contain codes that, when read by scanners, allow access to a secure building, and prevent trespassing by drug lords.

In research published in the International Journal of Innovation and Sustainable Development, Taiwanese researchers postulate that the tags could help save lives in the aftermath of a major earthquake. "Office workers would have their identity badges embedded in their RFID tags, while visitors would be given temporary RFID tags when they enter the lobby," they suggest. Similarly, identity tags for hospital staff and patients could embed RFID technology.

“Our world is becoming instrumented,” IBM’s chairman and CEO, Samuel J. Palmisano said at an industry conference last week. “Today, there are nearly a billion transistors per human, each one costing one ten-millionth of a cent. There are 30 billion radio RFID tags produced globally.”

Having one in every person could relieve anxiety for parents and help save lives, or work on a more mundane level by unlocking doors with the wave of a hand or starting a parked car -- that's how tech enthusiast Amal Graafstra (his hands are pictured above) uses his. But this secure, “instrumented” future is frightening for many civil liberties advocates. Even adding an RFID chip to a driver’s license or state ID card raises objections from concerned voices.

Tracking boxes and containers on a ship en route from Hong Kong is OK, civil libertarians say. So is monitoring cats and dogs with a chip surgically inserted under their skin. But they say tracking people is over-the-top -- even though the FDA has approved the devices as safe in humans and animals.

As some may be aware ayoung man by the name of Keith Thompson has recently completed a documentary on New Age titled Aquarius: The Age of Evil. He has uploaded the film to his youtube page for free public viewing. In addition to a interview by Constance contained within the film, he covers the history of New Age and Theosophy in a way I have never seen presented in a video format. In addition he covers many modern projects as well as thoroughly refuting the lies of the Aquarian Age. The film is in 14 parts on his page, which are numbered accordingly. A great film for those not familiar with the history, those not familiar with some more modern projects and doctrines, or for those wishing to share with others that will not take the time to read the volumes of material.

One thing I can say is that it is anything but a worker bee mentality. What it did do is provide a structured way for people to solve problems. They did just pick anyone to become certified. When I went through it, there was not anything new ageish that I recall.

  104. Constance, David,

I agree that the only way Six Sigma could be realized is with a completely interconnected system with total tracking capabilities. After watching some of the video David provided it has become evident that this will be considered the 'Perfected' Business model, much in the same way they are looking toward the 'Perfected' man.

But what's in a name? Most know the significance of the number 6, but what of sigma?

Sigma (upper case Σ, lower case σ, lower case in word-final position ς; Greek Σίγμα) is the eighteenth letter of the Greek alphabet, and carries the 'S' sound. In the system of Greek numerals it has a value of 200. When used at the end of a word, and the word is not all upper case, the final form (ς) is used, e.g. Ὀδυσσεύς (Odysseus) - note the two sigmas in the center of the name, and the word-final sigma at the end. It is not to be confused with the cedilla ç.

The letter is ultimately derived from Phoenician Šin 𐤔. However, its name derives from Samekh.

Shin (also spelled Šin (šīn) or Sheen) is the twenty-first letter in many Semitic abjads, including Phoenician 𐤔, Aramaic/Hebrew ש, and Arabic ﺵ (in abjadi order, 13th in modern order). Its sound value is a voiceless sibilant, IPA: [ʃ] or /s/.

The Phoenician letter gave rise to the Greek Sigma (Σ), Latin S, and the letter Sha in the Glagolitic and Cyrillic scripts (Ⱎ, Ш).

    Agie95, JD, Constance and All,

I spoke to my relative who used to work for the Dept. of Defense in Quality Assurance and he said he was very well aware of Six Sigma in the context of Total Quality Management (TQM) and ISO.

Without getting too technical, in manufacturing, there is an approach to quality assurance called Process Management.

This includes the principle that if a manufacturing process is flawed then the things being manufactured using that particular process are also going to be flawed.

I asked my D.O.D. source outright if this was merely another one of those New Age "Gregory May"
Ramtha ripoffs being perpetrated at the expense of the taxpayers and he said that he psesonally was not aware of anything like that, but he more or less shares my concerns about certain aspects of Lean Six Sigma being "integrated" into governments - especially in terms of the centralization of the government of the European Union and the consequent encroachments upon the national sovereignty of the EU member countries.

The following has happened at General Moters but it is a good analogy of what I am talking about in terms of a possible "Lean Six Sigma" form of government in the EU.

    WHY GENERAL MOTORS FAILED

The raging economic crisis is, of course, party responsible for GM's fate but in reality, it simply hastens a process set in motion decades before. After CEO Harlow Curtis's retirement in 1958, the management culture of General Motors evolved dramatically. A culture born of an elite clique of accountant princes developed a stranglehold on the corporation when "The System" of management was born. Executives were no longer promoted on the basis of achievement or talent, but on how well they supported “The System.” John Delorean describes the suffocating culture of GM’s airless, beige 14th floor executive suites in his 1973 book, On a Clear Day You Can See General Motors. DeLorean cites case after case when his efforts to enhance the quality of GM cars was thwarted by a stultifying lack of concern for anything but avoiding a threat to The System and next quarter’s numbers. The executives that ran GM lived like princes, chauffered to 14th floor offices where plush carpets hushed any sign of dissent from The System. And The System worked, didn't it? GM was the largest manufacturing company in the world, wasn't it?

The problem? The System rewards mediocrity. Encourages it. Nourishes it, even This might not be so dangerous when a company enjoys a comfy spot in an oligopoly, as GM and its companions in Detroit's Big Three manufacturers did for a long while. Then Vokswagen arrived to show Americans that a small car could be fun to drive and quality built. This was a lesson the Japanese took and ran with.

Now, colossal General Motors lays on the mat staring upwards, its face glazed with an expression of incomprehension as the ref counts down its fate.

Some blame fat U.A.W. contracts for General Motors’ difficulties but weren’t those granted by the company''s management? And, isn’t that the same management that sucked the content and quality from GM cars for decades, saving a buck here or there while import carmakers relentlessly added value and captured market share?

    cont....

  107. Susanna12:45 PM

    cont...

One of the bean counters bright ideas was to centralize all GM divisions under their control. Whereas Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Chevrolet, Cadillac and GMC had previously been autonomous, having their own command and control, they were brought under the control of The System on the 14th floor. That's when all distinctions between the various makes began to disappear and "badge engineering" or just making minor cosmetic differences differentiate the brands became the norm.

In the end, the auto business is product driven. But at General Motors, the bean counters were in control. Firmly in control. And they can be fiercely bottom-line driven, even to the detriment of a company's long-term health. As Delorean said, “A man trained and skilled only in financial control, who has no direct operational experience, simply lacks the understanding necessary to run the business.” But that didn’t stop the attack of the bean counters, for run the business they did, straight into its grave. Like a dinosaur that rules the animal kingdom through sheer size and weight, GM’s momentum carried it for a very long time. But, to paraphase Abe Lincoln, you can’t fool all the people all the time, or even enough of the people for a manufacturing company tyrannically driven by its financial staff to be successful. At the dawn of the twenty-first century, Japanese car companies like Honda were helmed by engineers as U.S. companies once were, but American companies were now run by accountants. This approach can only work for a limited time, for it contains the seeds of its own destruction.

GM is selling a brand new, re-invented Camaro that does everything right but it's essentailly an updated, old-school muscle car, launched when the market is in a sober, conservative mood. The company has announced that its quantum leap of engineering, the Volt plug-in extended-range electric vehicle, will be available in late 2010 for the 2011 model year. That will be a real accomplishment, but at a projected $40,000 price, the Volt will face stiff competition. General Motors is feverishly off-loading its life-sucking Hummer, Saturn, and Saab brands, closing plants, laying off workers and developing new models. A bankruptcy would have the advantage of allowing the company to shut down brands without suffering massive lawsuits from dealers while it gives GM breathing space to develop smart new models. But even breathing space will be of limited value in the current situaiton. General Motors executives have precious little time to save what was once the world's mightiest manufacturing company.

Will General Motors' near death experience bring about a spiritual awakening? In other words, will the company's bean counter cult finally be forced to release their shaking hands from GM's neck so the company can breathe the fresh air of reality?

    Stay tuned.
