"And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, thatsr they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood; which neither can see, nor hear, nor talk; Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts."Well, the New Agers are interpreting this terrible natural disaster as "2012 events beginning" and Gaia being angry with us. Click on the pictures above to view full screen!
One wonders what Al Gore is saying about this? Iceland, an island European country has had major volcanic eruptions lately. The one today has forced the closure of several European airports. It will probably impact road traffic as well. Quoting from the very recent MSNBC story,
If Iceland's active volcano gets even more active, Icelanders and air travelers won't be the only ones impacted. Gases from past large volcanoes have actually lowered Earth's temperatures, triggered lung ailments, caused acid rain and thinned our protective ozone layer.
The Eyjafjallajokull volcano isn't there yet. "This is not like Pinatubo. So far the scale is not big enough to have a global effect," Hans Olav Hygen, a climate researcher at the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, said in reference to the 1991 eruption in the Philippines.
But the potential is there. The new eruption is 10 times more powerful than another nearby last month, threw up a cloud of ash nearly four miles high and closed down air traffic across northern Europe.
Read the rest of that story by clicking here.
This is most likely a bona fide European emergency. It will be interesting to view
what mechanisms are put in place to deal with it. My prayers are definitely with those adversely impacted by this natural disaster. I do believe God has sent all a serious wake up call!
Stay tuned!

Hmmmm... Wondering if the earthquakes and volcanic eruptions have anything to do with the Hadron Collider?
ReplyDeleteAlthough it's a new age site that Constance linked to, I found an interesting comment on the post about recent earthquake activity:
"The final known source of magnetic fields is a changing electric field. Just as a changing magnetic field generates an electric field so does a changing electric field generate a magnetic field. (These two effects bootstrap together to form electromagnetic waves, such as light.) Similar to the way magnetic field lines form close loops around a current a time varying electric field generates a magnetic field that forms closed loops around the region where the electric field is changing. The strength of this magnetic field is proportional to the time rate of the change of the electric field (which is called the displacement current).[6] The fact that a changing electric field creates a magnetic field is known as Maxwell's correction to Ampere's Law.
http://www.newworldencyclopedia.org/entry/Magnetic_field#cite_note-5"
Is it possible that the Hadron Collider is changing the earth's electric field?
Anyhow, it's been ages since I have visited here and hope all is well with whatever friends are still here.

What Your TV Is Telling You to Do
ReplyDeleteIn just one week on NBC, the detectives on "Law and Order" investigated a cash-for-clunkers scam, a nurse on "Mercy" organized a group bike ride, Al Gore made a guest appearance on "30 Rock," and "The Office" turned Dwight Schrute into a cape-wearing superhero obsessed with recycling.
Coincidence? Hardly. NBC Universal planted these eco-friendly elements into scripted television shows to influence viewers and help sell ads.
The tactic—General Electric Co.'s NBC Universal calls it "behavior placement"—is designed to sway viewers to adopt actions they see modeled in their favorite shows. And it helps sell ads to marketers who want to associate their brands with a feel-good, socially aware show.
Unlike with product placement, which can seem jarring to savvy viewers, the goal is that viewers won't really notice that Tina Fey is tossing a plastic bottle into the recycle bin, or that a minor character on "Law and Order: SVU" has switched to energy-saving light bulbs. "People don't want to be hit over the head with it," says NBC Universal Chief Executive Jeff Zucker. "Putting it in programing is what makes it resonate with viewers."

Obama orders same-sex hospital visits
ReplyDeleteGay, lesbian couples must be allowed visitors, medical power of attorney
President Obama mandated Thursday that nearly all hospitals extend visitation rights to the partners of gay men and lesbians and respect patients' choices about who may make critical health-care decisions for them, perhaps the most significant step so far in his efforts to expand the rights of gay Americans.
The president directed the Department of Health and Human Services to prohibit discrimination in hospital visitation in a memo that was e-mailed to reporters Thursday night while he was at a fundraiser in Miami.
Administration officials and gay activists, who have been quietly working together on the issue, said the new rule will affect any hospital that receives Medicare or Medicaid funding, a move that covers the vast majority of the nation's health-care institutions. Obama's order will start a rule-making process at HHS that could take several months, officials said.

ReplyDeleteIn my conversations with the Liberal Christians, I have noticed that they have no idea about the New Age influence on their churches. We need to stop arguing over the Bible or Jesus. ReplyDeleteGlobal Warming could spawn more Earthquakes and Volcanoes....
http://www.livescience.com/environment/070830_gw_quakes.html
But the reality is USGS stats show that earthquakes and volcanic activity are NOT increasing, but have actually been DECREASING over the last several decades. It only seems like they are increasing because we have better monitoring and reporting these days.
Two facts should be considered:
#1- seismic disturbances are being reported more frequently
AND
#2- they have a larger impact on a global scale because of the "INTER-CONNECTEDNESS" of the global economy.
See:
http://earthquake.usgs.gov/learn/faq/?categoryID=6&faqID=110
If anything, these things shows that God, not man, is in control.
That said, while I think the Hadron theory is paranoid bunk, I would not rule out the possibility that real seismic weapons could have been developed, if not actually deployed. Such things are/were clearly in the minds of weapons creators. If this is indeed the case, then whatever man does, or, as the scripture says, "whatever measure you use, it will be measured back to you."

Ice cap thaw may awaken Icelandic volcanoes
ReplyDeleteOSLO (Reuters) – A thaw of Iceland's ice caps in coming decades caused by climate change may trigger more volcanic eruptions by removing a vast weight and freeing magma from deep below ground, scientists said on Friday.
They said there was no sign that the current eruption from below the Eyjafjallajokull glacier that has paralysed flights over northern Europe was linked to global warming. The glacier is too small and light to affect local geology.
"Our work suggests that eventually there will be either somewhat larger eruptions or more frequent eruptions in Iceland in coming decades," said Freysteinn Sigmundsson, a vulcanologist at the University of Iceland.

Adelaide hit by earth tremor
Updated Sat Apr 17, 2010 8:29am AEST
The quake struck Mount Barker, in the Adelaide Hills, about 11:27pm ACDT
The quake struck Mount Barker, in the Adelaide Hills, about 11:27pm ACDT (Google Maps)
* Map: Adelaide 5000
Residents of Adelaide in South Australia were woken last night by a 3.8-magnitude earthquake.
The earthquake happened at 11:27pm and people living within a 50 kilometre radius of the quake reported tremors lasting for up to 15 seconds.
The epicentre was close to Mount Barker, 40 kilometres east of the capital, in the Adelaide Hills.
Mount Barker resident Robert says he heard a loud bang when the quake struck.
"We heard a terrific explosion," he said.
"We live right opposite the golf course and lots of galahs roost in the trees and they made nearly as much noise as the earthquake itself but it was definitely an explosion."
Paul in Bridgewater emailed ABC News Online, saying: "Whoa! We just had what seemed like an earthquake go through our house."
Meanwhile, Steven from Moana said: "Several of my neighbours came out into the street and said that their houses shook like mine did. It lasted for about 10 to 15 seconds."
There have been no reports of injuries or damage to buildings in the capital.
David Jepson, a seismologist from Geoscience Australia, says while tremors in the region are not unexpected, this quake was larger than normal.
"This would have been felt quite widely, up to about 50 kilometres from the epicentre, and we've had a number of felt reports from the region," he said.
"That's basically shown that it has been felt quite widely across Adelaide city."
David Love, a seismologist with the South Australian Department of Primary Industry and Resources, says further activity along the fault line cannot be ruled out.
"This is probably the largest earthquake near the Adelaide area for quite a long time, possibly in excess of 20 years," he said.
"An earthquake that size will give a fair shake near the epicentre, its certainly enough to wake people up, but most unlikey to cause much other than that.
"There is a chance of more activity, I think the chance is fairly low, but we can't rule it out."
Mr Love says data is still being collected but the event appears to have occurred more than 15 kilometres below ground.
"From the reports that have been coming in it looks like it may have been a relatively deep earthquake therefore lessening the effects immediately above it on the surface," he said.
The quake was felt around Adelaide and more than 100 kilometres north of the city as well as on Kangaroo Island.

The Icelandic volcano is under a glacier called Eyjafjallajøkul with an hight of 1666 meters. (coincedence?) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eyjafjallaj%C3%B6kull
ReplyDeleteAnother close by volcano called Katla, is much larger, and could have a global impact, if it erupted. It normally erupts every 40-80 years, the last time in 1918. So it might be over due.
