Update: It looks like the newly "retired" Javier Solana can still get crowned heads of the world on the phone. Click here to read all about it.
"Your Majesties, Your Royal Highnesses, Distinguished Members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, citizens of America, and citizens of the world:I receive this honor with deep gratitude and great humility. It is an award that speaks to our highest aspirations — that for all the cruelty and hardship of our world, we are not mere prisoners of fate. Our actions matter, and can bend history in the direction of justice.
And yet I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge the considerable controversy that your generous decision has generated. In part, this is because I am at the beginning, and not the end, of my labors on the world stage. Compared to some of the giants of history who have received this prize — Schweitzer and King; Marshall and Mandela — my accomplishments are slight. And then there are the men and women around the world who have been jailed and beaten in the pursuit of justice; those who toil in humanitarian organizations to relieve suffering; the unrecognized millions whose quiet acts of courage and compassion inspire even the most hardened of cynics. I cannot argue with those who find these men and women — some known, some obscure to all but those they help — to be far more deserving of this honor than I.
But perhaps the most profound issue surrounding my receipt of this prize is the fact that I am the Commander-in-Chief of a nation in the midst of two wars. One of these wars is winding down. The other is a conflict that America did not seek; one in which we are joined by 43 other countries — including Norway — in an effort to defend ourselves and all nations from further attacks.
Still, we are at war, and I am responsible for the deployment of thousands of young Americans to battle in a distant land. Some will kill. Some will be killed. And so I come here with an acute sense of the cost of armed conflict — filled with difficult questions about the relationship between war and peace, and our effort to replace one with the other.
These questions are not new. War, in one form or another, appeared with the first man. At the dawn of history, its morality was not questioned; it was simply a fact, like drought or disease — the manner in which tribes and then civilizations sought power and settled their differences.
Over time, as codes of law sought to control violence within groups, so did philosophers, clerics and statesmen seek to regulate the destructive power of war. The concept of a "just war" emerged, suggesting that war is justified only when it meets certain preconditions: if it is waged as a last resort or in self-defense; if the forced used is proportional; and if, whenever possible, civilians are spared from violence.
For most of history, this concept of just war was rarely observed. The capacity of human beings to think up new ways to kill one another proved inexhaustible, as did our capacity to exempt from mercy those who look different or pray to a different God. Wars between armies gave way to wars between nations — total wars in which the distinction between combatant and civilian became blurred. In the span of 30 years, such carnage would twice engulf this continent. And while it is hard to conceive of a cause more just than the defeat of the Third Reich and the Axis powers, World War II was a conflict in which the total number of civilians who died exceeded the number of soldiers who perished.
In the wake of such destruction, and with the advent of the nuclear age, it became clear to victor and vanquished alike that the world needed institutions to prevent another World War. And so, a quarter century after the United States Senate rejected the League of Nations — an idea for which Woodrow Wilson received this Prize — America led the world in constructing an architecture to keep the peace: a Marshall Plan and a United Nations, mechanisms to govern the waging of war, treaties to protect human rights, prevent genocide and restrict the most dangerous weapons.
In many ways, these efforts succeeded. Yes, terrible wars have been fought, and atrocities committed. But there has been no Third World War. The Cold War ended with jubilant crowds dismantling a wall. Commerce has stitched much of the world together. Billions have been lifted from poverty. The ideals of liberty, self-determination, equality and the rule of law have haltingly advanced. We are the heirs of the fortitude and foresight of generations past, and it is a legacy for which my own country is rightfully proud.
A decade into a new century, this old architecture is buckling under the weight of new threats. The world may no longer shudder at the prospect of war between two nuclear superpowers, but proliferation may increase the risk of catastrophe. Terrorism has long been a tactic, but modern technology allows a few small men with outsized rage to murder innocents on a horrific scale.
Moreover, wars between nations have increasingly given way to wars within nations. The resurgence of ethnic or sectarian conflicts, the growth of secessionist movements, insurgencies and failed states have increasingly trapped civilians in unending chaos. In today's wars, many more civilians are killed than soldiers; the seeds of future conflict are sown, economies are wrecked, civil societies torn asunder, refugees amassed and children scarred.
I do not bring with me today a definitive solution to the problems of war. What I do know is that meeting these challenges will require the same vision, hard work and persistence of those men and women who acted so boldly decades ago. And it will require us to think in new ways about the notions of just war and the imperatives of a just peace.
We must begin by acknowledging the hard truth that we will not eradicate violent conflict in our lifetimes. There will be times when nations — acting individually or in concert — will find the use of force not only necessary but morally justified.
I make this statement mindful of what Martin Luther King said in this same ceremony years ago: "Violence never brings permanent peace. It solves no social problem: It merely creates new and more complicated ones." As someone who stands here as a direct consequence of Dr. King's life's work, I am living testimony to the moral force of non-violence. I know there is nothing weak, nothing passive, nothing naive in the creed and lives of Gandhi and King.
But as a head of state sworn to protect and defend my nation, I cannot be guided by their examples alone. I face the world as it is, and cannot stand idle in the face of threats to the American people. For make no mistake: Evil does exist in the world. A nonviolent movement could not have halted Hitler's armies. Negotiations cannot convince al-Qaidas leaders to lay down their arms. To say that force is sometimes necessary is not a call to cynicism — it is a recognition of history, the imperfections of man and the limits of reason.
I raise this point because in many countries there is a deep ambivalence about military action today, no matter the cause. At times, this is joined by a reflexive suspicion of America, the worlds sole military superpower.
Yet the world must remember that it was not simply international institutions — not just treaties and declarations — that brought stability to a post-World War II world. Whatever mistakes we have made, the plain fact is this: The United States of America has helped underwrite global security for more than six decades with the blood of our citizens and the strength of our arms. The service and sacrifice of our men and women in uniform has promoted peace and prosperity from Germany to Korea, and enabled democracy to take hold in places like the Balkans. We have borne this burden not because we seek to impose our will. We have done so out of enlightened self-interest — because we seek a better future for our children and grandchildren, and we believe that their lives will be better if other people's children and grandchildren can live in freedom and prosperity.
So yes, the instruments of war do have a role to play in preserving the peace. And yet this truth must coexist with another — that no matter how justified, war promises human tragedy. The soldiers courage and sacrifice is full of glory, expressing devotion to country, to cause and to comrades in arms. But war itself is never glorious, and we must never trumpet it as such.
So part of our challenge is reconciling these two seemingly irreconcilable truths — that war is sometimes necessary, and war is at some level an expression of human folly. Concretely, we must direct our effort to the task that President Kennedy called for long ago. "Let us focus," he said, "on a more practical, more attainable peace, based not on a sudden revolution in human nature but on a gradual evolution in human institutions."
What might this evolution look like? What might these practical steps be?
To begin with, I believe that all nations — strong and weak alike — must adhere to standards that govern the use of force. I — like any head of state — reserve the right to act unilaterally if necessary to defend my nation. Nevertheless, I am convinced that adhering to standards strengthens those who do, and isolates — and weakens — those who dont.
The world rallied around America after the 9/11 attacks, and continues to support our efforts in Afghanistan, because of the horror of those senseless attacks and the recognized principle of self-defense. Likewise, the world recognized the need to confront Saddam Hussein when he invaded Kuwait — a consensus that sent a clear message to all about the cost of aggression.
Furthermore, America cannot insist that others follow the rules of the road if we refuse to follow them ourselves. For when we don't, our action can appear arbitrary, and undercut the legitimacy of future intervention — no matter how justified.
This becomes particularly important when the purpose of military action extends beyond self-defense or the defense of one nation against an aggressor. More and more, we all confront difficult questions about how to prevent the slaughter of civilians by their own government, or to stop a civil war whose violence and suffering can engulf an entire region.
I believe that force can be justified on humanitarian grounds, as it was in the Balkans, or in other places that have been scarred by war. Inaction tears at our conscience and can lead to more costly intervention later. That is why all responsible nations must embrace the role that militaries with a clear mandate can play to keep the peace.
America's commitment to global security will never waver. But in a world in which threats are more diffuse, and missions more complex, America cannot act alone. This is true in Afghanistan. This is true in failed states like Somalia, where terrorism and piracy is joined by famine and human suffering. And sadly, it will continue to be true in unstable regions for years to come.
The leaders and soldiers of NATO countries — and other friends and allies — demonstrate this truth through the capacity and courage they have shown in Afghanistan. But in many countries, there is a disconnect between the efforts of those who serve and the ambivalence of the broader public. I understand why war is not popular. But I also know this: The belief that peace is desirable is rarely enough to achieve it. Peace requires responsibility. Peace entails sacrifice. That is why NATO continues to be indispensable. That is why we must strengthen U.N. and regional peacekeeping, and not leave the task to a few countries. That is why we honor those who return home from peacekeeping and training abroad to Oslo and Rome; to Ottawa and Sydney; to Dhaka and Kigali — we honor them not as makers of war, but as wagers of peace.
Let me make one final point about the use of force. Even as we make difficult decisions about going to war, we must also think clearly about how we fight it. The Nobel Committee recognized this truth in awarding its first prize for peace to Henry Dunant — the founder of the Red Cross, and a driving force behind the Geneva Conventions.
Where force is necessary, we have a moral and strategic interest in binding ourselves to certain rules of conduct. And even as we confront a vicious adversary that abides by no rules, I believe that the United States of America must remain a standard bearer in the conduct of war. That is what makes us different from those whom we fight. That is a source of our strength. That is why I prohibited torture. That is why I ordered the prison at Guantanamo Bay closed. And that is why I have reaffirmed America's commitment to abide by the Geneva Conventions. We lose ourselves when we compromise the very ideals that we fight to defend. And we honor those ideals by upholding them not just when it is easy, but when it is hard.
I have spoken to the questions that must weigh on our minds and our hearts as we choose to wage war. But let me turn now to our effort to avoid such tragic choices, and speak of three ways that we can build a just and lasting peace.
First, in dealing with those nations that break rules and laws, I believe that we must develop alternatives to violence that are tough enough to change behavior — for if we want a lasting peace, then the words of the international community must mean something. Those regimes that break the rules must be held accountable. Sanctions must exact a real price. Intransigence must be met with increased pressure — and such pressure exists only when the world stands together as one.
One urgent example is the effort to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons, and to seek a world without them. In the middle of the last century, nations agreed to be bound by a treaty whose bargain is clear: All will have access to peaceful nuclear power; those without nuclear weapons will forsake them; and those with nuclear weapons will work toward disarmament. I am committed to upholding this treaty. It is a centerpiece of my foreign policy. And I am working with President Medvedev to reduce America and Russia's nuclear stockpiles.
But it is also incumbent upon all of us to insist that nations like Iran and North Korea do not game the system. Those who claim to respect international law cannot avert their eyes when those laws are flouted. Those who care for their own security cannot ignore the danger of an arms race in the Middle East or East Asia. Those who seek peace cannot stand idly by as nations arm themselves for nuclear war.
The same principle applies to those who violate international law by brutalizing their own people. When there is genocide in Darfur, systematic rape in Congo or repression in Burma — there must be consequences. And the closer we stand together, the less likely we will be faced with the choice between armed intervention and complicity in oppression.
This brings me to a second point — the nature of the peace that we seek. For peace is not merely the absence of visible conflict. Only a just peace based upon the inherent rights and dignity of every individual can truly be lasting.
It was this insight that drove drafters of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights after the Second World War. In the wake of devastation, they recognized that if human rights are not protected, peace is a hollow promise.
And yet all too often, these words are ignored. In some countries, the failure to uphold human rights is excused by the false suggestion that these are Western principles, foreign to local cultures or stages of a nation's development. And within America, there has long been a tension between those who describe themselves as realists or idealists — a tension that suggests a stark choice between the narrow pursuit of interests or an endless campaign to impose our values.
I reject this choice. I believe that peace is unstable where citizens are denied the right to speak freely or worship as they please, choose their own leaders or assemble without fear. Pent up grievances fester, and the suppression of tribal and religious identity can lead to violence. We also know that the opposite is true. Only when Europe became free did it finally find peace. America has never fought a war against a democracy, and our closest friends are governments that protect the rights of their citizens. No matter how callously defined, neither America's interests — nor the worlds — are served by the denial of human aspirations.
So even as we respect the unique culture and traditions of different countries, America will always be a voice for those aspirations that are universal. We will bear witness to the quiet dignity of reformers like Aung Sang Suu Kyi; to the bravery of Zimbabweans who cast their ballots in the face of beatings; to the hundreds of thousands who have marched silently through the streets of Iran. It is telling that the leaders of these governments fear the aspirations of their own people more than the power of any other nation. And it is the responsibility of all free people and free nations to make clear to these movements that hope and history are on their side.
Let me also say this: The promotion of human rights cannot be about exhortation alone. At times, it must be coupled with painstaking diplomacy. I know that engagement with repressive regimes lacks the satisfying purity of indignation. But I also know that sanctions without outreach — and condemnation without discussion — can carry forward a crippling status quo. No repressive regime can move down a new path unless it has the choice of an open door.
In light of the Cultural Revolution's horrors, Nixon's meeting with Mao appeared inexcusable — and yet it surely helped set China on a path where millions of its citizens have been lifted from poverty, and connected to open societies. Pope John Paul's engagement with Poland created space not just for the Catholic Church, but for labor leaders like Lech Walesa. Ronald Reagan's efforts on arms control and embrace of perestroika not only improved relations with the Soviet Union, but empowered dissidents throughout Eastern Europe. There is no simple formula here. But we must try as best we can to balance isolation and engagement, pressure and incentives, so that human rights and dignity are advanced over time.
Third, a just peace includes not only civil and political rights — it must encompass economic security and opportunity. For true peace is not just freedom from fear, but freedom from want.
It is undoubtedly true that development rarely takes root without security; it is also true that security does not exist where human beings do not have access to enough food, or clean water, or the medicine they need to survive. It does not exist where children cannot aspire to a decent education or a job that supports a family. The absence of hope can rot a society from within.
And that is why helping farmers feed their own people — or nations educate their children and care for the sick — is not mere charity. It is also why the world must come together to confront climate change. There is little scientific dispute that if we do nothing, we will face more drought, famine and mass displacement that will fuel more conflict for decades. For this reason, it is not merely scientists and activists who call for swift and forceful action — it is military leaders in my country and others who understand that our common security hangs in the balance.
Agreements among nations. Strong institutions. Support for human rights. Investments in development. All of these are vital ingredients in bringing about the evolution that President Kennedy spoke about. And yet, I do not believe that we will have the will, or the staying power, to complete this work without something more — and that is the continued expansion of our moral imagination, an insistence that there is something irreducible that we all share.
As the world grows smaller, you might think it would be easier for human beings to recognize how similar we are, to understand that we all basically want the same things, that we all hope for the chance to live out our lives with some measure of happiness and fulfillment for ourselves and our families.
And yet, given the dizzying pace of globalization, and the cultural leveling of modernity, it should come as no surprise that people fear the loss of what they cherish about their particular identities — their race, their tribe and, perhaps most powerfully, their religion. In some places, this fear has led to conflict. At times, it even feels like we are moving backwards. We see it in the Middle East, as the conflict between Arabs and Jews seems to harden. We see it in nations that are torn asunder by tribal lines.
Most dangerously, we see it in the way that religion is used to justify the murder of innocents by those who have distorted and defiled the great religion of Islam, and who attacked my country from Afghanistan. These extremists are not the first to kill in the name of God; the cruelties of the Crusades are amply recorded. But they remind us that no Holy War can ever be a just war. For if you truly believe that you are carrying out divine will, then there is no need for restraint — no need to spare the pregnant mother, or the medic, or even a person of one's own faith. Such a warped view of religion is not just incompatible with the concept of peace, but the purpose of faith — for the one rule that lies at the heart of every major religion is that we do unto others as we would have them do unto us.
Adhering to this law of love has always been the core struggle of human nature. We are fallible. We make mistakes, and fall victim to the temptations of pride, and power, and sometimes evil. Even those of us with the best intentions will at times fail to right the wrongs before us.
But we do not have to think that human nature is perfect for us to still believe that the human condition can be perfected. We do not have to live in an idealized world to still reach for those ideals that will make it a better place. The nonviolence practiced by men like Gandhi and King may not have been practical or possible in every circumstance, but the love that they preached — their faith in human progress — must always be the North Star that guides us on our journey.
For if we lose that faith — if we dismiss it as silly or naive, if we divorce it from the decisions that we make on issues of war and peace — then we lose what is best about humanity. We lose our sense of possibility. We lose our moral compass.
Like generations have before us, we must reject that future. As Dr. King said at this occasion so many years ago: "I refuse to accept despair as the final response to the ambiguities of history. I refuse to accept the idea that the 'isness' of man's present nature makes him morally incapable of reaching up for the eternal 'oughtness' that forever confronts him."
So let us reach for the world that ought to be — that spark of the divine that still stirs within each of our souls. Somewhere today, in the here and now, a soldier sees he's outgunned but stands firm to keep the peace. Somewhere today, in this world, a young protestor awaits the brutality of her government, but has the courage to march on. Somewhere today, a mother facing punishing poverty still takes the time to teach her child, who believes that a cruel world still has a place for his dreams.
Let us live by their example. We can acknowledge that oppression will always be with us, and still strive for justice. We can admit the intractability of deprivation, and still strive for dignity. We can understand that there will be war, and still strive for peace. We can do that — for that is the story of human progress; that is the hope of all the world; and at this moment of challenge, that must be our work here on Earth."
The inspiration? I suspect I might have a few clues. Between you, me and the lamp post, it sounds at least a little "New Agey"!

This is one of the most dangerous speeches I have ever heard! I'll bet the Brookings Institution scholars drafted it -- he just made references to "at times their religion" . . . It also sounds like Alliance of Civilizations talk.

Sounds like Karen Armstrong may have helped craft this speech as well. I will pull down the text as soon as I can get it and add it to the text of my blogspot.

Constance, I also picked up the terminology that Obama used...in particular the following quote...."So let us reach for the world that ought to be — that spark of the divine that still stirs within each of our souls."
ReplyDeleteThe "divine spark" reference hails directly from Gnosticism, and in my opinion, was a call-out to all New Agers everywhere that Obama is one of theirs.
The strange blue spiral in Norway:
ReplyDeletehttp://tiny.cc/wE0q1
MOSCOW - Russia admitted on Thursday that its much-touted Bulava intercontinental missile failed another test, after unusual lights were spotted in Norway across the border from the launch site.
The submarine-based Bulava (Mace) missile has been billed as Russia's newest technological breakthrough to support its nuclear deterrent, but the repeated test failures are an embarrassment for the Kremlin.
Click the video for pictures.
Apparently, such strange appearances are not uncommon in Norway. I'm not a scientist, but I wonder why this is seen in Norway, but we don't see these kinds of phenonmenon when we test our missiles, for example. Is it because of the northern atmosphere--the same kinds of conditions that give us the "Northern Lights"?
Another researcher on the web posted a really good article this morning and this was found there. It fits better with the previous thread but hey, BO thinks he's a Light Bearer too.
ReplyDelete"The word “lightbearer” in its literal sense means he who bears the light. It is synonymous with a person who searches for knowledge and enlightenment and who in so doing seeks to bring it to mankind. It is in this pure and beautiful sense of the word that “lightbearer” has been used in the name of the Lightbearers Organization and as a reference to Baron Eugene Fersen. http://www.scienceofbeing.com/html/baron.html
Is it coincidental that the father of the lightbearers was called the Teacher of the Teachers?
"Baron Eugene Fersen, "The Teacher of the Teachers," gave to the world his truth, his knowledge, and his seat-of-power knowing that all of Humankind should have access to the secret teachings that were only privy to the rich and powerful. He came to share with us these secrets; with the hope that we would free ourselves with this knowledge and rid ourselves of the myths that hold us hostage and bind us to our physical bodies and this Earthly existence. There are other secrets, which still remain secret, because it is believed that main-stream minds and hearts are not ready to comprehend their truths at this time. He taught and believed that “As humans enlightened their Spirits with this knowledge more would be revealed to them.”
Constance,
ReplyDeleteInterestingly, Rush Limbaugh was just wondering aloud if Obama's speech writer was going to "survive the week."

She admitted that China's population program is not without consequences, as the country is entering the aging society fast and facing the problem of gender imbalance.

...They're taking about Billions to Trillions of Dollars in Copenhagen and who will control it. I can hear the naïve among us saying, “But, I thought they were there for Climate Change and saving the planet.” Yeah, right!
More leaked information about Global warming. This time the “Danish text” was leaked to the press during the Copenhagen climate meetings and its content has nothing to do with phony science this time the leak has to do with phony intent. (see story)
According to the “Danish text” Global warming is not about saving the planet. No, on the contrary, Global warming is about enslaving the planet.
Global warming is about enriching a few people with billions of dollars by creating a new world system. Call it Kyoto II, or call it cap and trade, it’s all the same thing! This is a scheme concerning American tax payers’ dollars to create an international trading market from which to buy and sell carbon credits. It is a market which will be controlled by the European Union and the United Nations.
The agreements that are being sought by developing nations in the Copenhagen meetings are about billions of dollars in carbon trading and credits. But smaller non-developed nations believe that with all of that money at stake developed nations can’t be trusted to do the right thing...read more...

Thanks anonymous for bringing the topic of the blending of religions up.
ReplyDeleteThere are many articles on the topic out there, all presenting the changes as if they were benign. Those of us who have been following the movement for up to 30 years now know that it occultic, antisemitic and anti-Christian, particularly anti-Catholic.
A clear point that should be made is that where religions are blended, morality becomes very flexible. Religious communities are based on the idea that people in those communities can trust each other because they have the same values. It's not a perfect system and there will always be corruption. The general idea is that if you break the rules you are out of the community.
For instance, how can there be sanctions against adultery if there is no agreement about Tiger Woods' behavior.

"...In most Western nations in the late twentieth century, expressions of racism and anti-immigrant sentiments are not only increasingly voiced but increasingly tolerated. Equally disconcertingly, fascist ideologists and political groups are experiencing a resurgence as well. Updating their ideology and speaking the new language of ecology, these movements are once again invoking ecological themes to serve social reaction. In ways that sometimes approximate beliefs of progressive-minded ecologists, these reactionary and outright fascist ecologists emphasize the supremacy of the "Earth" over people; evoke "feelings" and intuition at the expense of reason; and uphold a crude sociobiologistic and even Malthusian biologism...."

Indiana: City Threatens $2500 Fines for Challenging Traffic Tickets
Lawyer sues traffic and parking courts in Indianapolis, Indiana over threatened $2500 penalty for contesting a ticket in court
Motorists who receive minor parking or traffic tickets in Indianapolis, Indiana are being threatened with fines of up to $2500 if they attempt to take the ticket to court. A local attorney with the firm Roberts and Bishop was so outraged by what he saw in Marion County traffic court that he filed a class action suit yesterday seeking to have the practice banned as unconstitutional.
"The deck is stacked against the motorist," lawyer Paul K. Ogden wrote. "To penalize that person for seeking justice seems wrong. I know it is done for the purpose of discouraging baseless challenges to tickets and clogging the docket, but in the process you are also penalizing people who have a legitimate defense and want a chance to present it to the court."
The city made explicit the threat of additional fines for challenging parking tickets in a November 30 press release announcing a deal between Indianapolis and a private firm, T2 Systems, to hand over operations of a parking ticket court to increase municipal income.
"Using Six Sigma process improvement strategies, it is estimated that under this program the city may collect an additional $352,000 to $520,000 in parking citation revenue over the next 12 months," the city press release stated. "If citations are not paid prior to their scheduled hearing, the city may request a fine of up to $2500 per citation. Upon receiving a judgment for an unpaid citation, individuals responsible could be subject to collections actions or having their vehicle registration suspended."
In traffic court, Judge William Young has been making good on the threats by routinely siding with police officers in disputes and imposing fines of up to $500 on anyone who challenges a moving violation ticket, no matter how minor, and loses. Those who pay without going to court do not face this extra fine.
"Unfortunately what you have happen a lot of times is that judges aren't particularly worried about whether what they're doing may be violating the law as the odds of someone ever appealing a $400 traffic ticket is remote," Ogden wrote. "I see it all the time. Trial judges flouting the law knowing they are unlikely to ever be challenged on an appeal because the litigants can't afford it."
Ogden is specifically representing three motorists affected by court policies. Toshinao Ishii received a ticket for driving 63 MPH in a 55 zone in February. Had he paid the ticket without challenge, the fine would have been $150. After Judge Young sided with the police officer in court, Ishii was fined $550. Motorist Matthew Stone was told by his doctors not to wear a seatbelt over his chest as it could damage his cardiac pacemaker. He received a $25 ticket for not wearing a seatbelt. After court officials threatened Stone with a $500 fine, he gave up his intention of challenging the citation. Adam Lenkowsky, who did not receive a ticket, attempted to attend a traffic court proceeding on September 23, 2009. He was barred from the court, despite the state constitutional requirement that court proceedings be open.
Ogden argues the court's practices in the first two cases violate the excessive fines clause of the state constitution as well as the clause requiring that "all penalties shall be proportioned to the nature of the offense."

All my friends here in Michigan,

I, personally had to spend a almost two hour period digging out my drive and side walks this morning. I know a few of you live east of me, so the effects were not quite so harsh for you. In any case I still am praying for safety as you guys travel, as I know at least around here driving conditions are down right dangerous.
Administration Warns of 'Command-and-Control' Regulation Over Emissions
ReplyDeleteThe Obama administration is warning Congress that if it doesn't move to regulate greenhouse gases, the Environmental Protection Agency will take a "command-and-control" role over the process in a way that could hurt business.
The warning, from a top White House economic official who spoke Tuesday on condition of anonymity, came on the eve of EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson's address to the international conference on climate change in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Jackson, however, tried to strike a tone of cooperation in her address Wednesday, explaining that the EPA's new powers to regulate greenhouse gases will be used to complement legislation pending in Congress, not replace it.
"This is not an 'either-or' moment. It's a 'both-and' moment," she said.
But while administration officials have long said they prefer Congress take action on climate change, the economic official who spoke with reporters Tuesday night made clear that the EPA will not wait and is prepared to act on its own.
And it won't be pretty.
"If you don't pass this legislation, then ... the EPA is going to have to regulate in this area," the official said. "And it is not going to be able to regulate on a market-based way, so it's going to have to regulate in a command-and-control way, which will probably generate even more uncertainty."
Climate change legislation that passed the House is stuck in the Senate, but the EPA finding Monday was seen as a boost to the U.S. delegation in Denmark trying to convince other countries that Washington is capable of taking action to follow through with any global commitments.
The economic official explained that congressional action could be better for the economy, since it would provide "compensation" for higher energy prices, especially for small businesses dealing with those higher energy costs. Otherwise, the official warned that the kind of "uncertainty" generated by unilateral EPA action would be a huge "deterrent to investment," in an economy already desperate for jobs.
"So, passing the right kind of legislation with the right kind of compensations seems to us to be the best way to reduce uncertainty and actually to encourage investment," the official said.
Republicans fear that the EPA will ultimately end up stepping in to regulate emissions -- though many oppose the congressional legislation as well. They had urged Jackson to withdraw the finding in light of leaked e-mails from a British research center that appeared to show scientists discussing the manipulation of climate data.
Rep. James Sensenbrenner, R-Wis., ranking Republican on the House Select Committee for Energy Independence and Global Warming, said Tuesday he is going to attend the Copenhagen conference to inform world leaders that despite any promises made by President Obama, no new laws will be passed in the United States until the "scientific fascism" ends.
"I call it 'scientific fascism,'" Sensenbrenner said during a press conference with fellow climate change skeptics. Sensenbrenner said, "The U.N. should throw a red flag" on scientists who support global warming to the exclusion of dissent.
Administration officials, though, said the e-mails do not change the debate.
Former Vice President Al Gore, a leader in the movement on man-caused climate change, told CNN on Wednesday that the e-mails in questions were 10 years old and taken "out of context."
http://tinyurl.com/yfwogkm
This in my opinion constitutes a threat of the most serious nature. The administration is blatantly telling Congress that if it doesn't pass the laws it wishes, then they will do an end run around them. Now we could go into a huge discussion about how unconstitutional this is, or how the EPA doesn't have legal precedent to do such a thing, or the massive over reach of power. Regardless, they have made it clear that they are willing to sell your freedom down the river to get it done.

ReplyDeletePERSONALLY, I am praying for "global warming" time time of year, it's only folks from California and Florida against that. If you are from North Dakota, Minnesota, Michigan, and beyond, sounds like a great idea. I'm stealing the phraseology from an old column Chuck Moss wrote for the Detroit News. It seems rather odd to me that this spiral in the sky over Norway (Tromso in the north?) should appear the very day before Obama accepts his Peace Prize in Oslo.
ReplyDeleteAs a symbol the spiral has spiritual implications for most New Agers. It could also be seen as a 'lying wonder' somewhat akin to the crop circle phenomena in England.

Well JD,
ReplyDeleteI did dig-out my driveway, but luckily there are no sidewalks. Fortunately, I have a snowblower. I've been stuck at home with two kids. I've been watching snow piling up again on the driveway. I'm surprised we never had a blizzard warning because it sure seemed like it was. I'd hate to be those businesses along Helmer that now have a sidewalk to suddenly be responsible for. Our "sidewalk to nowhere."
Constance,
ReplyDeleteI would laugh, though I doubt you could hear it for my chattering teeth! I was tempted to leave my truck running, empty a can of hairspray, and start a fire using a pile of old tires as I was digging my way out today. Maybe if Gore came and stayed at my house he might change his mind! It is days like this that I do miss Florida oh so much.
DavidinBC,
ReplyDeleteFortunately for many of those business owners they pay someone to remove the snow. I feel more for the poor souls who, like my wife, had to drive west today. 94 has been a mess with jack-knifed rigs, and the back roads haven't been plowed. As I type this Cassie is headed home, which worries me greatly. Under normal circumstances Portage isn't that far away, but on days like this, it is way too far for my comfort.
I don't know if anyone has posted this, but here is Share Int. youtube page. There is video of lectures Creme has done, including one from Japan that took place earlier this year.

Gingrich praises Obama's speech.
(CNN) – Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich praised President Obama's acceptance speech Thursday before the Nobel Committee in Oslo.
"I thought the speech was actually very good," Gingrich told NPR's The Takeaway. "He clearly understood that he had been given the prize prematurely, but he used it as an occasion to remind people, first of all, as he said: that there is evil in the world."
The comments mark the second time in a month that Gingrich has given President Obama's performance a positive nod. Following the president's speech at West Point, Gingrich said the decision to increase troop levels in Afghanistan "took considerable courage."

U.N. climate chief cashes in on carbon -- tied to conglomerate that stands to make hundreds of millions in emissions scheme
A story emerging out of Britain suggests "follow the money" may explain the enthusiasm of the United Nations to pursue caps on carbon emissions, despite doubts surfacing in the scientific community about the validity of the underlying global warming hypothesis.
A Mumbai-based Indian multinational conglomerate with business ties to Rajendra K. Pachauri, the chairman since 2002 of the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, or IPCC, stands to make several hundred million dollars in European Union carbon credits simply by closing a steel production facility in Britain with the loss of 1,700 jobs.
The Tata Group headquartered in Mumbai anticipates receiving windfall profits of up to nearly $2 billion from closing the Corus Redcar steelmaking plant in Britain, with about half of the savings expected to result from cashing in on carbon credits granted the steelmaker by the European Union under the EU's emissions trading scheme, or ETS.
Corus has accumulated 7.5 million European Union surplus carbon allowances, or EUAs, given the company free by the EU, after corporate officials lobbied EU officials aggressively in Brussels.
'Help! Mom! Radicals Are Ruining My Country!' Will kids' swing-set business stay afloat despite 246 czars, regulations, huge taxes?
The Corus-owned 7.5 million EUAs are estimated at up to $650 million; the company also anticipates "saving" 6 million tons of carbon dioxide by closing the plant and not producing the plant's capacity of 3 million tons of steel. The 6 million tons of carbon dioxide is worth an estimated $130 million at current rates and possibly as much as $325 million at expected market levels.
The British government also announced Wednesday it would auction off rather than cancel the millions of carbon permits resulting from the Corus Redcar steel plant closing The Corus Redcar facility is scheduled to be closed in January, and if the facility is to be closed more than 50 days, Corus would not be entitled to receive the permits, worth about $147.5 million per year at current market rates.
How does the closing of a steelmaker in Britain tie to the chairman of the U.N.'s global warming science committee?
(Continued . . . )
ReplyDeleteIn 1974, the TATA Group provided the financial resources to found the Tata Energy Research Institute, or TERI, a policy organization headquartered in New Dehli, India, of which Pachauri has been chairman since the group was formed.
Continued business ties between TERI and TATA are demonstrated by a press announcement on the TERI website dated Feb. 4 in which Jairam Ramesh, the Indian minister of state for commerce and industry as well as minister of state for power, announced a joint venture with TERI and TATA power to extract and use carbon dioxide for the propagation of micro-algae.
On Dec. 10, 2007, Pachauri shared with Al Gore the Nobel Peace Prize for his work on global warming. At the Nobel ceremonies, Pachauri in his Nobel lecture openly represented the U.N.'s IPCC.
The TATA Group decision to close the Corus steelmaking plant has caused the Labour government of Prime Minister Gordon Brown political difficulties. Manufacturing accounted for 22.5 percent of Britain's economic output when Labour came to power in 1997, while it accounts for little more than 11 percent today, according to the London Times.
Arguing that the Brown government needs to provide financial assistance to manufacturing in Britain, Kirby Adams, the chief executive officer of Corus told the newspaper, "Jobs paying £30,000 ($50,000) a year are only in manufacturing sectors or sectors where you are adding value – you are not going to make that flipping burgers."
He added: "In some way I hope that this [decision to close Corus Redcar] will be the final wake-up call or alarm bell to get things across to people in Whitehall and Westminster – we need to help other sectors of the economy, not just the columns of the Bank of England."
In July, thousands of steelworkers marched in Redcar, North Yorks, England, protesting the proposed closing of the Corus steelmaking facility.
The European Union Greenhouse Gas Emission Trading System began operations in January 2005, billing itself as "the largest multi-country, multi-sector Greenhouse Gas Emission Trading system world-wide."

ReplyDeleteHow the Filth Trade Turned Green
Long before George W. Bush killed the global warming treaty, it was mortally wounded by industry lobbyists—and the richest environmental group in America.
Up in the hills of Tennessee, they just love air pollution. Can’t get enough of it. In fact, they’ll spend hard cash for more of it.
In May 1992, the Tennessee Valley Authority paid a Wisconsin power company for the “right” to belch several tons of sulphur dioxide into the atmosphere, allowing the TVA to bust above-contamination limits set by law. Wisconsin cut its own polluting to offset Tennessee’s. This was the first ever trade in emissions credits, an experiment in using market mechanisms to cut nationwide pollution overall. Why should you care if Billy Hill is paying good money to suck
soot? Because trading rights to pollute (first tried on Tennessee) was the cornerstone for implementing the Kyoto Protocol, the global warming treaty, which proposed rules for industrial production worldwide for the next three decades.
The Kyoto Protocol aimed to slash emissions of “greenhouse gases” which would otherwise fry the planet, melt the polar caps and put Blackpool and Los Angeles under several feet of water. (It will also have negative effects.)
As you can imagine, industry’s big lobbying guns lined up against the Protocol. Leading the charge against the treaty is Citizens for a Sound Economy, an ultra-right pressure group chaired by corporate super-lobbyist Boyden Gray.
Squaring off against CSE is the influential Environmental Defense Fund of Washington DC. So committed are EDF’s greens to the treaty that they set up a special affiliate to help implement the protocol’s trading system. EDF’s new Environmental Resource Trust is chaired by Boyden Gray.
Huh?
cont.....
ReplyDeleteHow did Gray, top gun of big industry’s anti-treaty forces become chief of a respected environmental group? Did he have a deathbed conversion? No, Mr Gray’s in fine health, thank you. Someone far more cynical than me might suggest that Mr Gray and his polluting clients, unable to halt the clean air treaty during the Clinton administration, perfected a new way to derail the environmental movement: If you can’t beat ‘em, buy ‘em. By covering themselves in the sheep’s clothing of a respected green organization, polluters can influence treaty talks to make darn certain they do not have to change their dirtmaking ways.
That’s where the Tennessee model comes in. By insinuating into the protocols a company’s right to meet pollution targets by buying unused emissions allotments, US industry can blow up the treaty from the inside. Fronting the filthtrading scheme is the Environmental Defense Fund. The idea of contamination credits originated with the corporate lobby Business Roundtable. We know this because the Roundtable left a memo to that effect in a photocopy machine at a Kyoto follow-up meeting in Buenos Aires.
Other than the plain creepiness of selling rights to pollute, what is wrong with such trades if they painlessly cut emissions overall? Well, keep your eye on that “if”. I haven’t yet found a single trade that took an ounce of pollution out of the atmosphere. The free market fix for dirty air was rotten from the first deal. In the 1992 Wisconsin “sale” of pollution to Tennessee, the Wisconsin company’s right to sell sulphur dioxide was based on their agreement not to build another power plant. But state authorities in Wisconsin would never have permitted building the new plant. Therefore, the seller’s supposed reduction in pollution was a sham; however, the additional spume of poison from the Tennessee mountains is real and deadly.
Despite this sorry record, US negotiators have pushed emissions trading as a take-it-or-leave-it condition of America’s participation in the global warming treaty. Emissions trading, as a so-called “market mechanism” for saving the biosphere, is the pride and joy of the Third Way, the means by which New Democrats hoped to replace those nasty old ruleby-command laws—“THOU SHALT NOT POLLUTE”—with efficient, retail transactions, possibly at your local TOXINS‘R’US. (America already has a “stock exchange” where 15 million tons of sulphur dioxide are traded each year.)
cont....
ReplyDeleteUnder US treaty proposals, any US or European manufacturer who wants to crank up their earth-baking discharges will have to buy up rights from a greenminded company which has cut emissions. But where in the world will they find earthfriendly industries willing to sell their rights to pollute? You’ll never guess: Russia and Ukraine.
In case you were on vacation when Russia became an eco-paradise, I’ll fill you in. The treaty’s rights to pollute are allocated based on the level of air trash pumped out in 1990. Up to that year, remember, Russians were under communist rule, forced to work in grimy, choking factories. Now they are free not to work at all. The post-communist Russian industrial depression has cut that nation’s emissions by 30 per cent. Thus, the bright side of starvation on the Steppes: a
bountiful supply of pollution “credits”, enough to eliminate 90 per cent of US industries’ assigned reduction in pollution.
Is anyone fooled? Did tree-hugging Al Gore, vice-president when the scheme was proposed, jump up and holler “Fraud!” Not a chance. To corporate applause, the VP has blessed the bogus trading in filth credits. Gore even used the pollution trading scam to enhance his green credentials by posing for photo ops surrounded by members of that most revered environmental organization, the Environmental Defense Fund.
It gets worse. The Clinton-Gore administration, before taking its final bow, announced a scheme to give “early credits” to US companies that cut emissions before any treaty takes effect. So, for example, if a chemical company shuts a plant to bust its trade union, they get credits. A dozen top environmental groups are up in arms about this windfall for phantom reductions in pollution—but not EDF, which takes pride in crafting the proposal’s details.
How did EDF come up with this bizarre idea? Apparently, under the tutelage of some of America’s most notorious polluters, at least according to internal documents faxed to my newspaper from a source (whom, as you undoubtedly understand, I cannot name) from inside the Environmental Resource Trust, the EDF unit chaired by Boyden Gray.
One memorandum, dated October 21, 1997, states: “At the present time, most of the major utilities have been regularly meeting with EDF staff to discuss this concept.” Another memo indicates the group could cash in on the credits, opening the door to an environmental group profiting by selling rights to increase pollution. An EDF staffer admitted the plan was drafted with Southern Company and American Electric Power, notorious polluters, “looking over our shoulders”.
cont....
ReplyDeleteWhy do some enviros appear to act like Rent-A-Greens for the Boyden Grays and corporations they once blasted? It’s not just the loot. Rather, genteel alliance with industry is the ticket that lets them hang out with Gore or Bush and the industry Big Boys in the deal-making loop. They believe that, from the inside, talking the “market” lingo, they can change policy. They certainly are allowed to feel important. Unfortunately, the collaborationists have confused proximity with influence.
The filth trade is the ugly stepchild of the new mania to replace regulation with schemes that pose as “market” solutions. We know the attractions of the filth trade to politicians of any party: it provides a pretence of action to the public while giving winking assurance to industry that the status quo is not disturbed.
The sale of crud credits is chopping the legs off America’s anti-pollution laws and it will be used to sabotage any new global warming treaty.
Marketing-not-governing gimmicks spread like Tennessee kudzu. And it’s not limited to the trade in pollution. Don’t be surprised when General Pinochet claims to have purchased unused bone-cracking rights from Pol Pot.

ReplyDeleteRECORD FINE FOR SOROS' "ILLEGAL MANIPULATION OF FINANCIAL MARKETS"
Thomas Lifson
The principle financier of the Democrats, the man whose early support catapulted Obama into the lead for the nomination, the man who made billions from the stock market crash that changed everything in the fall campaign (McCain was in the lead when the crisis hit), has been given a record fine by Hungarian financial authorities. AFP reports:
Hungary's financial supervisory watchdog announced Friday it had slapped a 1.6-million-euro fine on an investment fund founded by US billionaire George Soros, for manipulating the market.
The PSzAF said it had fined Soros Fund Management LLC for transactions on the Budapest stock exchange on October 9 that led to a "significant loss in value" of Hungarian OTP bank stocks, which fell in days from 4,000 forint (13.2 euros, 17.86 dollars) to 2,500 forint.
The PSzAF "is imposing a 489-million-forint fine on Soros Fund Management LLC... for violating the rules regarding the illegal manipulation of financial markets," the supervisory authority said in a statement on its Internet site.
This is not the first time Soros has been fined for illegal market manipulation. That he is the most significant financial backer of the American left should serve as a clarion call to Americans. Do not trust this man.

ReplyDeleteMichell Malkin also said:
The U.S. is going to lend billions of dollars to Brazil’s state-owned oil company, Petrobras, to finance exploration of the huge offshore discovery in Brazil’s Tupi oil field in the Santos Basin near Rio de Janeiro. Brazil’s planning minister confirmed that White House National Security Adviser James Jones met this month with Brazilian officials to talk about the loan.
The U.S. Export-Import Bank tells us it has issued a “preliminary commitment” letter to Petrobras in the amount of $2 billion and has discussed with Brazil the possibility of increasing that amount. Ex-Im Bank says it has not decided whether the money will come in the form of a direct loan or loan guarantees. Either way, this corporate foreign aid may strike some readers as odd, given that the U.S. Treasury seems desperate for cash and Petrobras is one of the largest corporations in the Americas. …
But it still doesn’t allow the U.S. to explore in Alaska or along the East and West Coasts, which could be our equivalent of the Tupi oil fields, which are set to make Brazil a leading oil exporter. Americans are right to wonder why Mr. Obama is underwriting in Brazil what he won’t allow at home....
....This seems odd in several ways. For this particular administration to offer billions in loans to a foreign oil company makes a mockery of a number of Obama talking points. First, why does Petrobas need loan guarantees to pursue its exploration? As the WSJ notes, it is a very large corporation, which should have the resources to get to the oil on its own. Obama, who has ripped American corporations for their supposed subsidies in American tax policy, now wants to use an empty Treasury to give cash to a Brazilian oil company.
Next, Obama keeps insisting that we cut back on our use of fossil fuels. He and his allies in Congress have blocked exploration of American oil fields off both shores for decades, and Obama insists that we would only keep enabling our oil addiction if we started drilling off of our own coasts. Yet he has no trouble committing $2,000,000,000 of our money for Brazil to drill off its own coast.......

SOROS CONVICTED OF INSIDER TRADING IN FRANCE
http://www.richguysclub.com/?p=1168
___________________________________
Here is what LaRouchePac has to say about the conviction:
LOOK OUT WORLD! GEORGE SOROS TRIES TO BUY A REVERSAL OF HIS 2002FELONY CONVICTION!
January 23, 2009 (LPAC)--George Soros, the world's most prominent dope-pusher, and speculator against nation states, is trying to buy influence with the European Court of Human Rights, based in the European Union in Strasbourg, France, so it will overturn his 2002 felony conviction on "insider trading" charges--which arose from Soros's speculation on the takeover of Societe Generale, the largest private bank in France in the 1980s.
Soros is reported to be enraged by his felony conviction, and is sparing no expense to have the European Human Rights Court rule in his favor.
Soros has already unsuccessfully appealed his conviction twice in France. The Paris Court of Appeal upheld his conviction on March 24, 2006. The Cour de Cassation, France's highest court, found him guilty again on June 14, 2006.
Societe Generale was a state bank until privatized by Jacques Chirac in 1987. When Socialist Mitterand became President in 1988, his government tried to buy back the state property which had been sold off. In the case of Societe Generale, a takeover of the bank by friendly investors, disguised as a "hostile takeover" was planned. Mitterand's Finance Minister recruited investment banker Georges Pebereau, who tried to recruit other investors, including Soros. Soros declined, instead using his knowledge of the planned takeover to load up on cheap Societe shares in advance through his Quantum Fund. When the takeover was launched in November 1988, Soros dumped his shares, and made about $2.2 million, and the takeover failed. French investigators began investigating the Societe affair in May 1990, but Swiss authorities refused to release critical evidence for six years.
Soros could have been jailed for two years, but the French court sentenced him only to a $2.9 million fine. Soros is livid at being caught; he complained to CNN in 2003, "I was the only one found guilty, when the whole of the French establishment was involved."
Soros is now busy trying to erase his felony conviction. In a speech in Brussels on November 20, 2006, he denounced America for lawless warmongering, and praised Europe as "[A] model and motive force for a global open society." He offered to finance a golden age for Europe through his foundations, promising, "I am ready to support an Open Society Initiative for Europe."
Also in November 2006, Soros launched the so-called European Council on Foreign Relations. Fifty former presidents and prime ministers have enrolled as members. The European CFR held its opening event November 9, 2006, at the German Foreign Ministry in Berlin. But whether Soros's money can erase his conviction remains to be seen.

ReplyDeleteFRENCH COURT UPHOLDS SOROS CONVICTION
June 15, 2006
George Soros, for those of you who are unaware, has a conviction for inside trading.
A French court found him guilty of that in 2005, based on a purchase of Societe Generale shares in 1988. The leftist billionaire, who finances moveon.org and Human Rights Watch, has spared no expense in trying to overturn that verdict. After all, he fancies himself something of an oracle who can move markets or dispense socialist wisdom onto all those less rich than himself. This conviction is bad for that, and unless he wants to write a tell—all as an inside trader, probably for sales of the kinds of pompous books he writes, too.
But money can only go so far in the face of evidence. The highest appeals court in France dismissed Soros' bid to clear his name in the case Wednesday, and the billionaire now vows to take his case to the European Court of Human Rights.
Of course, Soros may be right that an EU court may clear him and maybe even throw in some censure to those supposedly notorious human rights violators, the French judges. But to say the French court's ruling merits the same kind of outrage and disregard for human rights that the imprisonment of someone who had been tossed into one of Milosevic's dungeons without trial might is asking for a lot of moral muddlement.
Yet he's in luck. Only an EU court is capable of it.

Interesting,y, 2005 was the same year in which Maurice Strong was named in the "oil for food" scandal.
I wonder if there is any connection between the oil for food scandal and Soros' criminal insider trading activity?
After Soros ran out of appeals in France, he had the nerve to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights.
As far as I can tell, the case is still pending.
This is the same European Court of Human Rights that recently banned crucifixes in the public schools in Italy!!!
A "just" court indeed.
Given Soros' crooked, shady past, it is hardly unreasonable to suspect that Soros and his like-minded pals may have had a hand in orchestrating the recent economic meltdown here in the U.S.

Quelle surprise!
These articles comes from the Christian community, but synagogues here and in Israel have asked to participate and some will. Bells aren't needed. Drums and gongs will do. I tried to find articles from the Jewish community on the issue of the bells, but could find none. Oh how Hitler would have thought this was a great idea, getting the religious organizations to do the work of the state planners. Bells said come to church to live your religion. Now they ring at the command of the state flunkies? Can't turn back the clock. If you think the article is an exaggeration, think of the programs promoted in the places of worship and in their religious schools. (Thanks for the lead Jackie.)
ReplyDeleteTHE CHURCH BELLS ARE A CALL TO ACTION ON GLOBAL WARMING UNITED NATIONS GREEN RELIGION SQUEEZING JESUS OUT OF THE HOUSE OF GOD
By Judi McLeod Friday, November 13, 2009
If the United Nations has its way, Jesus won’t be found in church anymore. With the approval of pious priests and ministers, Jesus is being squeezed out of the House of God to make way for global warming/climate change proselytizing.
Church bells around the world, which call Christians worldwide into church on Sundays, will join the din of drums and gongs to sound a UN ordered message 350 times on December 13 during the Copenhagen climate change summit. The church bells are a call to action on global warming.
“The leading council of Christian and Orthodox churches also invited places of worship for other faiths to join a symbolic “chain of chimes and prayers” stretching around the world from the international date line in the South Pacific.” (Breitbart, Nov. 12, 2009).
“By sounding their bells or other instruments 350 times, participating churches will symbolise the 350 parts per million that mark the safe upper limit for C02 (carbon dioxide) in the atmosphere according to many scientists.”
The bell-ringing at worldwide churches makes about as much sense as Hanne Strong, who used constant drumbeats to hold the “energy pattern” when her aging UN Poster Boy husband Maurice Strong led the 1992 Rio de Janeiro United Nations Earth Conference.
Not one media jumped in to ask: “Constant drumbeats to hold the energy pattern?”
Interesting that even back then the group Mrs. Maurice Strong led in a three-week vigil with “Wisdomkeepers”, were called “global transformationalists”. The round-the-clock sacred fire, drumbeat and meditation was what the transformationalists told the world was holding the “energy pattern” paving the way for the success of her husband-led earth summit.
Mumbo jumbo magic and the birth of Agenda 21
This mumbo jumbo magic was the setting for the birth of Agenda 21, the plan now forcing the United States of America and the rest of the Free World into One World Government.
No mumbo jumbo from Maurice and Hanne will save the world from the human misery about to be inflicted by this evil plan which robs nations of their sovereignty and makes serfs of the human population.
(continued) While Hanne was out there beating her drums, hubby Maurice Strong said in his opening address to thousands of Rio delegates: “It is the responsibility of each human being today to choose between the force of darkness and the force of light.” If these words sound chillingly familiar it’s because they are the same ones uttered by Alice Bailey and Blavatsky before her, both of whom in their writings state that the “force of darkness” are those who adhere to the “out-dated” Judeo-Christian faith. Those who continue along their “separative” paths of the one true God. The “Force of Light” (Lucifer) in their view, is the inclusive new age doctrine of a pagan pantheistic New World Religion.
ReplyDeleteAnd if Christian congregations aren’t having any of this evil served up from the pulpit, many of their religious leaders have already bought into it.
The World Council of Churches touting the bell-ringing, brings together some 348 Protestant, Orthodox and Anglican churches representing about 560 million Christians in 110 countries.
There is no escape for Catholics as The Council of European Bishops Conference, which gathers Roman Catholic bishops and archbishops, is also supporting the campaign, according to a letter released by the WCC.
The ringing of the bells, drums and gongs from churches is being used to boost the UN summit in Copenhagen Dec. 7 to 18, which seeks to promote a new global treaty to broaden cuts in emission of greenhouse gases blamed for Al Gore-touted climate change.
Mercifully, in some countries the question has been raised whether churches have the right to use their bells for what may be considered to be a political campaign, admits WCC programme executive on climate change, Guillermo Kerber.
Thanks to the greening religion ministers and priests of Christian churches, your soul isn’t worth saving, rescuing Mother Earth from climate change is.

If you are interested in finding out what is going on in Copenhagen, here are two links. You're not going to get this from the media here. Here we are so focued on the cost of the program we hardly understand the other changes that the climate control movement is bringing about. If cap and trade is not agreed on here, you can bet there will be more efforts until they get what they want. The one worlders do not like to be told no. This time we need to fight the battle in other ways than through war.

It just occurred to me that if CERN represents the dot of an exclamation mark, then Norway from Oslo to Tromso represents the vertical part!

enormous, spiral light with its glowing centre, seen over Norway on 9 December 2009, has excited and baffled thousands of Norwegians including astronomical experts. What does it mean?
On 12 December 2008 Share International Foundation announced that a large, bright ‘star’-like object would soon be seen in the sky. It is a sign heralding the imminent appearance of Maitreya, the World Teacher, on His first television interview, which will take place in the USA.
The ‘star’ is really one of four enormous spacecraft placed around the world. Since December 2008 numerous sightings of the ‘star’ have been reported on YouTube and television news programmes. Share International magazine has received hundreds of photographs showing the ‘star’ in a variety of stunning colours and shapes.
The huge spiral manifestation over Norway is an extension of the work of these spacecraft and is irrefutable evidence of their reality. Our information is that further such manifestations are planned for the near future.
http://tinyurl.com/ybtgqfx
Creme has stated many times that his false messiah was waiting for people to begin to talk about the "star". I don't know of any better way to get people talking about this thing than to stick on Yahoo's front page. I suspect we will know very soon who really is Benny's guy.
I'm going to risk the ire of everyone here by saying that there were parts of Obama's Peace Prize speech that I actually liked.
ReplyDeleteThe second half, of course, went all Kumbaya and drug out the warm fuzzy "can't we all just get rid of all our weapons and get along" line. No, Mr. Obama, we can't. It's that crazy sinful nature that we all have, and GOD ALMIGHTY through His Spirit and the sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ will save us, not some determined effort by the masses (or others) to perfect humanity.
But....they'll try anyway. And it's in the trying that a bunch of us get tossed under the wheels of progress....
I liked his defense of Just War theory, as well as his defense (for once, and about time!) of why America goes to war.
Whether he really believes it or not, and whether the second half of his speech negates the first half, are different questions.
But I didn't find his speech all that scary. I've seen worse. There just didn't seem a sense of authority in what he said. There *was* the sense of urgency that he injects into all his speeches, even though he made a point to say that we won't solve a lot of the problems facing us in his lifetime.
Well, that's my take on it, anyway. YMMV.

ReplyDeleteBecause of the timing, I think it was Russia thumbing their nose at Obama and his dreams of disarmament treaties and sugar plumb fairies dancing in his head.
Putin to US: "Want a world without nuclear weapons? Go ahead Obama, get rid of yours, so maybe we won't even have to use ours to take you over!"
Too bad their nuclear ICBM launch screwed up. Or maybe it wasn't a screw up, but just meant to send a message. Russia loves to "telegraph" messages to the West. We just don't interpret them correctly. We *should* interpret that event as "Hmmm....Putin/Medvedev/Russia are not putting their weapons down, so we should at least have some kind of defense against their use." Instead, we interpret it as "HAHAHAHA! Silly old Russians... can't even launch a missile correctly! They're not going to be much help in fighting the Taliban, or worse, Iran. Maybe we should give them some technical assistance?"
We're so stupid.
Marko
I think what is surprising with Obama is how "hawkish" he really is. I think liberals don't understand this. They thought they were getting a dove. He may be liberal, but he certainly has an agenda that differs in many ways to straight liberalism or even socialism. He does have a huge spending agenda, though. We will never be able to pay off the national debt.
ReplyDeleteInteresting what's said on Lucis Trust on BO's acceptance of Nobel Peace Prize:
ReplyDeletehttp://tinyurl.com/yavygdq
excerpt with the last paragraph references The Externalisation of the Hierarchy:
President Obama's many speeches have “captured the public imagination”, thereby energising a positive vision of hope for the future. Their quality could be described as that of the practical visionary rather than the mystical dreamer. The difference between true vision and non-pragmatic idealism is a fine line, but when the hope of nations soars in response, it is a sure sign that the right spiritual note has been sounded. When people are brought together by such a vision, a bond of world unity is recognised and this provides an unique opportunity to the spiritual Hierarchy Who stand behind world affairs to help further integrate the consciousness of the “one” humanity. For unity is the destiny of humanity, as a clear-eyed study of the evolution of social consciousness and its imaginative projection into the future reveals.
More and more people are beginning to be forward-looking and to hope with greater conviction and courage for a better world set-up; their hitherto wishful thinking and their emotional desire are slowly giving place to a more practical attitude; their clear thinking and their fixed determination are far more active and their plans better laid because both their thinking and their planning are today based on facts; they are also beginning to recognise those factors and conditions which must not be restored...

I don't think the song was written as anything sinister...its from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and sounds much happier in its normal form. Their choosing of it, however, and the sorrow they re-mastered into it....that's a horse of a different color.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous 10:00 a.m.
ReplyDeleteI thought the song sounded very familiar. It is interesting what you say however. Willie Wonka and the Chocoloate Factory, is a movie based on Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
I haven't looked much at Dahl, but a brief description of his life and work via Wikipedia shows his affinity to Kipling (influenced by theosophy) and describes much of his work as "dark". Some of his writings were used in The Twilight Zone. Perhaps someone on this blog have read and evaluated his writings in more depth.
It reminds me of Judy Garland's ever famous Somewhere Over the Rainbow. By itself, without any preconceived framework, one would think this, too, is an innocent song of American culture. However, The Wizard of Oz (from which the song comes) was written by theosophist, Frank L. Baum. Understanding its true roots reveals a much more sinister nature.
I point these things out because I, too, have been growing in my awareness of "what we don't know". I am grateful for many, like Constance, who refuse to be silenced so that sleepy, lethargic people like me will wake up and see what is really under the surface of so much that is active in our culture.
I suspect that the song may very well have been written from more sinister roots than we realize.
anthony newley wrote pure imagination. all i can find out is his mother was jewish. he was married 4 times. his second wife was joan collins whose father was jewish. he was rumored to be bisexual and the name of his fourth marriage partner may be male? i couldn't find anything about his philosophy or religious beliefs.
ReplyDeleteThe thing about Willie Wonka and the
ReplyDeleteChocolate Factory is that in the end of
the story, the evil bad guy who is, in
every respect, satanic and/or devilish,
turns out to be working for the good
Mr Wonka, who is obviously godlike.
So the message is "don't worry, there
is no real evil, just the illusion of evil
which is intended to gently move us
toward the good. Satan is just one of
God's many helpers but he is in fact
a real nice guy once you get to know
him".
_Which is of course a lie from the
pit of hell.
James 1:13-16 says:
Let no man say when he is tempted
I am tempted of God: for God cannot
be tempted with evil, neither tempts
he any man:
But every man is tempted when he is
drawn away of his own lust, and
enticed.
Then when lust has conceived,
it brings forth sin; and sin when
it is finished brings forth death.
Do not err my beloved bretheren.
Interesting the discussion about Roald Dahl. I have a book I have been perusing in spare time (not much of that) called THE IRREGULARS: ROALD DAHL AND THE BRITISH SPY RING IN WAR TIME WASHINGTON. The author is Jennet Conent. It was released by Simon and Schuster 2008. I was fortunate to find it at a bargain price on a remainder table at Border's Books a few months ago. It is worthwhile reading.

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971) is satanic to the core. No evidence to prove it just the slimy and horrified feeling you get from watching it. So much cruelty and perversity in it. It really shocked me as a child. The song's association with the Re-Acciona creepy video has alot of meaning for sure. Sinister, indeed.

Re: Choc. Factory and Dahl. Never read the book but have absent-mindedly seen the movie as it ran on a TV. It is perverse. Wonka has awful things done to children in his factory. Of course, the children are fashioned to be very obnoxious so the viewer can almost feel it's okay to knock them off. I don't see how anybody could consider that story a positive one.
ReplyDeleteIt does sound strange to say that environmentalists will work to replace traditional religion and get people to acccept a nature religion. What's their point? We don't need another religion. Well, the New Age movement has been promoting nature religion for decades now. The UNEP That We Want
Reflections on UNEP’s future challenges
Prangins, Switzerland, September 17, 2007
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,577827,00.html 11/30/09
Document Reveals U.N.'s Goal of Becoming Rule-Maker in Global Environmental Talks
The Swiss paper was written not by Scanlon but by Mark Halle, the Europe-based director of trade and investment for an influential environmental think-tank, the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), which originated in Canada and now operates in some 30 countries. IISD, which still has heavy Canadian government support, bills itself as a research institute promoting policies that are "simultaneously beneficial to the global economy, the global environment and to social well-being." (My comment: Ask what is this social well being he is talking about. )
According to Halle, however, in an e-mail exchange with Fox News, there are signs that the hugely ambitious role he and his fellow-thinkers sketched for UNEP as religion's main competitor are "beginning to happen." Halle pointed to UNEP's espousal this year of a so-called Green Economy Initiative, a proposal to radically redesign the global economy and transfer trillions of dollars in investment to the world's poorest developing countries, but one that is couched in terms of providing new green jobs, an end to old, unfair carbon-based energy subsidies, and greater global fairness and opportunity. Halle called the development "quite exciting."

Here is something very interesting I just came across:
ReplyDeletePRINCE WILLIAM TO SHARE QUEEN'S DUTIES: TREASURY DOCUMENT REVEALS SECRET PLAN TO MAKE HIM THE 'SHADOW KING'
December 13, 2009
The Queen is to hand over a substantial part of her public duties to Prince William to help him prepare for the day when he becomes King, according to a confidential document obtained by The Mail on Sunday.
Secret papers reveal that plans to ease the strain on the 83-year-old monarch and her 88-year-old husband, Prince Philip, are at an advanced stage.
The disclosures come despite months of denials from the Palace that the Queen was planning to step back from her official work in favour of her 27-year-old grandson.
The information is contained in a briefing note written by Chancellor Alistair Darling’s Treasury officials about new financial arrangements for Prince Charles and his sons.
Key paragraphs, disclosing the reason for the changes, are blacked out.
But this newspaper has obtained an uncensored version of the document which confirms that the Queen is grooming William as a ‘Shadow King’.
One blacked-out line states that ‘the Princes [William and Harry] will increasingly incur expenditure when undertaking engagements on behalf of The Queen’.
Another censored section, stressing the key role for William, says that ‘from next year, it is expected that HRH The Prince William will spend a significant part of his time on official engagements . . . we need to put the necessary provisions in place in anticipation of that’.
The leak will add to speculation that the Queen believes William, rather than Charles, represents the best long-term interests of the monarchy, and will raise new questions about the timing of William’s long-anticipated engagement to his girlfriend Kate Middleton.
The breach of secrecy caused alarm at the Palace last night, with a senior Royal source expressing concern that the private details had been leaked in ‘unredacted’ - the official term for uncensored - form...read entire article...

You don't want to miss this one, guys. It's a scream! :-)
I just finished watching a CLIMATEGATE CHRISTMAS and laughed until I cried!!!

By all means, STAY TUNED on Javier Solana. His close buddy PAUL MARTIN has stitched together the L20 coalition which is supposed to be the most succtessful venturing forth on global governance to date. I have heard that JS may play a pivotal role there as well as come back to pick up the pieces of EU governance which doesn't appear to be going so smoothly under his "successor."

Climategate emails came from Russian server? Hmmmmm??? Who could blame the Russians for wanting less global cooling and more global warming. Sort of Like Minnesotans for Global Warming?? May I please have the charter for MICHIGANDERS FOR GLOBAL WARMING? Pretty please!!!!

It is fairly clear that Naturalism is a religion. It replaces respect for the Majesty of the Creator with the worship of the majesty of creation. In such a worlview it cannot be any surprise that human concerns such as the necessary water for farming, land for farming, and advancements that make life easier in many ways are considered evils. The tree is more important than the farmer who tends the apple grove. Sad.
ReplyDeleteOn Willy Wonka,
ReplyDeleteIf one rewatches this movie and pays keen attention to the background, they will see occultic symbols everywhere. The line in the song "anything you want to, do it" is simply a respin on Aleister Crowley's do what thou whilst. Willy Wonka himself in the movie is what is called a anti-hero. The basic premise of the ant-hero is that the old way of seeing things perceive this character as a villain, while all along the character works out a plan which will benefit all. Showing the character in the end as a hero, despite the dastardly means by which they accomplished their goal. Usually this is used to twist perceptions of the youngest generation viewing a film or reading a book. More times than not that younger generation will never see the anti-hero as anything other than a hero, while those who have more wisdom see the key errors of the character from the start and thus perceive him as a villain. If those who saw this character as a villain get swept into the story without paying attention to details, they will eventually come to the conclusion that their perception of said character was wrong, and thus will have been successfully reprogrammed. However if one maintains their steady observance of the details they often see it for what it really is, a brainwashing technique. This technique is still used very commonly in films today, it is just a little more subtle now. The film The Knowing with Nicholas Cage is a good example of this in our modern culture.
JD,
ReplyDeleteGreat analysis! Good points!
Thanks so much!
The Knowing may be the dumbest movie of all time. The Chocolate Factory book is much better than the movie. The sequel, "Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator" is very dumb and has no plot that goes nowhere.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen the newer version of Willy Wonka but I have heard it is even darker than the original.
I believe it was St. Augustine who in his CONFESSIONS wrote that before he became a Christian he had more pity for the peach than for man for whom God had created the peach!
ReplyDeleteConstance
JD,
ReplyDeleteAnother prime example would be Mel Gibson's "The Patriot".
Susanna, Cutting Edge Ministries says that if Charles remains a prince that will set him up to be Anti-christ, who is referred to as a prince in the Bible. However, that seems twisting words. the word "prince" refers to rulers in general. Prince or King. However, Charles would be freer to be anti-christ if he were not in line for the British throne. I still expect the "prince who shall come" to be a Muslim ruler. However, remember that Charles is friendly to Islam and has even been reputed to have been converted. I would suspect that his conversion would have been to one of the offshoots of Islam, such as Subud or Sufism.
ReplyDeleteOutright conversion to Islam proper would be more scandalous.
The most noteworthy claim to be anti-christ (i.e. false messiah) on the part of the British royals is that they are Jewish, and hence one of their members would be accepted as messiah by Israelis. The British monarchy's descent from Zedekiah, plus other lines, is heavily documented. It is their chief claim to be legitimate rulers by divine right. Zedekiah was the last ruling King of Judah. His daughter Tea Tephi escaped to Ireland where she married another descendant of David, according to standard lore on this subject...which I can't swear is true. Jeremiah and Baruch are said to have facilitated escape of Tea Tephi and her sisters after Zedekiah's sons were killed.
The British royals descend from David on other lines, but this is the most famous one.
There are other kings and princes who have Jewish descent, including in the Middle East. That is another subject for further discussion some time.
Mariel
Dawn,
ReplyDeleteI agree The Knowing is pretty absurd, but it was the best recent example I could bring up. The entire film we are shown disasterous things caused by these entities, only in the end for them to be shown as the saviours of future generations. This movie in particular is a great example of how the programing can differ dependant on the targets age. In this film the entities/anti-hero have no redeemable qualities until the end of the film, unlike Wonka where Gene Wilder inserts small amounts of humor and pleasantry to befriend a younger viewer. The Patriot as anon pointed out is a good example of this same type of programing. Only this movie is loosely based on real events, which in turn can cause some of the more hidden messages to slip past an aware observer, since the observers mind tells them it is historical and therefore logical that these less pleasant things have made their way into a film.
Many here are aware of some these types of manipulation as the Dan Brown novels/movies have been covered in the past, but it goes a lot deeper than most realize. I would venture to say that there is hardly a film that makes its way into theatres anymore that doesn't contain some sort of message in this regard. If it turns out to be a huge seller with a huge media campign, then you can be certain the messages are there. The sad part is now the messages are not quite as hidden as they used to be, and our kids get the worst of it via Disney and Nickelodeon.
OOPS! I guess I miss spoke as now that I think of it there are more recent examples than The Knowing, in no particular order they would be: The Box, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, G.I. Joe, District 9, Tim Burton's 9, and the list goes on.
Just a warning this is going to get long and drawn out
ReplyDeleteI recently posted an article from Share Int. regarding the phenomenon that was observed over Norway. I was rebutted with the official story of a failed Bulava missle from Russia. So I decided before I opened my yap and stated my opinion I would set out to either prove this scenario as plausible or impossible, I would also see if this incident is an isolated one as would be the case if it were a local incident like a failed missle launch.
I must admit the official explanation is a good one as it could account for much of what was witnessed, but as I soon found, once one thoroughly examines the evidence the picture isn't quite so clear.
First, let's do a simple analysis to see if the "malfunctioning missile" scenario can possibly be debunked ....
According to the Russian claim, the flight path of the Bulava missile when launched from the White Sea area would have placed it almost immediately on a north-east trajectory, following a great circle route to it's intended impact point in the Kamchatka penninsula, approximately 5,500 kms distant.
And yet for the missile to be so clearly visible in the Norwegian sky, implies that the missiles guidance system must have almost immediately failed and changed it's path to a north-westerly direction, almost a 90 degree shift in direction ... and headed instead towards Norway ?
cont.
cont.
ReplyDeleteBased on the Russian story, it is clear that if the spiral was the result of a failed missile test and was visible from Norway, then it should also have been clearly visible from both Sweden and Finland which both would have been within the missiles flight trajectory - yet corroborating eye witness reports from either of these countries is almost non-existent. Virtually every report and image originates from Norway alone, implying that the spiral display (irrespective of the source) must have occurred at a very low altitude if only visible from Norway.
Now lets determine whether I'm justified in stating that the spiral display occured at a very low altitude which is not commensurate with the proposed mainstream conclusion that it was the result of a failed Russian Bulava missile test.
We find a Bulava missle has an altitude of approx 1000km after its third stage burn. This third stage is strictly upper atmosphere, while the first two are lower altitude burns up to 500km.
We are now being told that this particular Bulava test failed because of problems associated with the third stage burn. Now this implies that until the 3rd stage problems, that the 1st and 2nd stages completed their burns normally which should have lifted the Bulava to an altitude of at least 500 kms.
cont.
cont.
ReplyDeleteBut here we have a major stumbling block in our acceptance that the spiral was a direct result of the missile failure.
If the spiral was mainly observed only from Norway, that implies that the missile was already off course shortly after launching and heading in a radically wrong direction and would cross at least 3 sovereign countries of Finland, Sweden and Norway. It also implies that the missile never reached any appreciable altitude otherwise the spiral effect would have been visible over a vast geographical area and not just Norway. The immediate question to be asked is why the missile was allowed to complete a 1st and 2nd stage burn and not terminated immediately once a deviation was noticed ... with the potential horrendous political reprecussions should it come down in one of those three countries, especially Norway !
Now lets take a look at whats been stated to be proof of a Russian missile launch on that day ... namely the visible exhaust trail. Simple math can either bring this into play or can deem it unworthy of consumption. This can be done by measuring the height of an object in centimeters and dividing it by the distance to the horizon which is measured in km. Thus giving you position of any object of reference in any image. To put this in a way that makes sense to the average person, for someone of average height standing at sea level, the distance to the visible horizon is approximately 5 kms.
cont
JD - RE: Blue Spiral and lingering questions
ReplyDeleteNot to mention that there was very little said by Norway or anyone else - is it OK with them that Russian missiles fall in their lap? All was very quickly dismissed as much ado about nothing. When the South Koreans have a missile malfunction it's CNN media coverage for hours on end. Although there was some computerized data prepared after the fact showing how this missile could fizzle out in a blue spiral, isn't it odd that so many reports came in with quotes from the public and astronomers alike that no one had ever seen a display of this kind. You'd think at least one media source would have had an immediate response that it was just another run-of-the-mill missile malfunction and had archived video's to prove it.
VW
cont.
ReplyDeleteLet's use the above calculation and rearrange it so that instead of determining the distance to the horizon, we use it instead to calculate the height.
Now, the distance from Tromso, Norway to the White Sea is approximately 800 kms. Plugging this value into the rearranged equation tells us that to be able to see the "exhaust plume" created at the White Sea from a distance of 800 kms, that the height of the plume will need to extend an incredible 40 kms into the upper atmosphere. If that wasn't bad enough, to be able to visually see that plume, it would imply that the exhaust plume had a width in excess of 10 kilometres !!
A height of 40 kms and a width greater than 10 kms ... all from the launch of a single missile ... thats equivalent to the exhaust plume from a shuttle launched in Cape Canaveral being seen 800 kms away in North Carolina .So, as has been shown, it doesn't take much analysis to arrive at the conclusion that whatever was responsible for the spiral effect above Norway, it could NOT have been the result of a failed Russian missile test ending in a spectacular fashion in the airspace above Norway.
Well, if a missile test could NOT have been responsible for the spiral display in the sky, what other options or possibilities would make more logical sense ? The images from Tromso show the "exhaust plume" clearly as extending skywards from behind a range of hills. The width and clearly visible details of the plume give all appearances of the originating cause being reasonably close by ... and not originating 800 kms away. other images also show the spiral being linked to the "exhaust plume" by way of a blue glowing region.
Ok, lets return to that so-called "exhaust plume" visible on the horizon and rework a few simple calculations.
If we make the reasonable assumption (based on visible structure and details of the exhaust) that in fact, the origin of the exhaust is approximately at a distance commensurate with the horizon (or perhaps just over), then the horizon calculations give us a distance from Tromso to the exhaust plume location of approximately 5 - 15 kms.

Mariel,
ReplyDeleteI think Mr. Cohn's arguments on this have been flimsy. Prince Charles, in my present opinion, comes nowhere close to fitting the prophetic situations.
Constance
cont.
ReplyDeleteTherefore, the origin of the exhaust and blue beam effect apparently is somewhere between the low hills and the easterly horizon. Given this math it puts the origin right where Norway's EISCAT system is in Ramfjordmoen (near Tromso) which functions as an ionospheric heater facility... similar to HAARP.
So, in my educated opinion, what we're seeing in the photos and video is NOT an atmospheric effect created by a malfunctioning Russian ballistic missile but rather an atmospheric effect that I believe to originate with EISCAT.
Now in an attempt to further my case, if what was witnessed was the failure of a Bulava missle, then in no way shape or form should I be able to show other examples of exactly the same type of phenomenon at any other given time let alone any other geographical location. Yet all one needs to do to witness these exact same type of occurences all over the globe is google "spiral, lights, ufo, wormhole, star" in some variant combination.
To illustrate, here is a report from July in China.
http://tinyurl.com/yb6t5ge
So to summarize, not only does the math not fit, but there are other incidents reported around the world. Now I am not saying UFO or aliens from other planets, but I believe they are trying to convince us that is what is happening. I know they denied this incident, but they have a history of trying to explain away unknown phenomenon, this creates further curiosity. We are told the man of sin and his false prophet will cause signs and wonders in the heavens, so that people might marvel at them and think "who is greater than the beasts?' I believe this and other ufo phenomenon belong in this category.
VW,
ReplyDeleteThats not even considering the Bulava missle is one designed to carry a THERMO-NUCLEAR warhead. If this were really the case all governments across the globe would be standing up shaking their fists. Tests of long range nuclear weapons such as this are not allowed, especialy over the soil of other sovreign nations. Which boils back to the reason for the dust up with North Korea. Yet note one word has been uttered about this "test"? I don't buy it, especialy when one adds in it was over the country that our president would be in shortly there after.

ReplyDeleteI'm curious - is the so-called fuel discharge of this spiral in a counter or counterclockwise spiral? I can't tell from the photos. In pagan spiral symbolism - clockwise spirals are associated with the sun and harmony of the earth, and counterclockwise spirals represent the manipulation of nature, associated with Pagan spells.
VW
VW,
ReplyDeleteFunny you should ask, yes the spiral moves in a counter clockwise motion. I was actually wondering if there might be significance to the counter clock wise motion. Spirals are prominent symbols in many pagan practices, but they have been used in just about every aspect where the mystery religions have been taught. Egypt has many hyroglyphs which display them, the mayans used them in theirs, they can be seen in some Roman architecture, Celtic pagans used them, and I do believe I have seen some used in various forms by the Nazi's. I would need to review some of the sources, but I do believe most were of the counter clockwise variety. This incident having a perfect spiral at its core was actually what made me suspicious in the first place, it was only after the touting of Creme, and the non-sensical explanation that I realized my suspicion had some traction. Once I found all the pieces surrounding the close proximity of EISCAT and the fact of what type of missle it was supposed to have been coupled with a lack of reaction from anyone at all, I knew that something was afoot. I hope I was able to lay the posts out in ways that made sense to every one else.
JD
ReplyDeleteThank you for your intensive research and mathematical analysis of the "missile malfunction" story. As I was doing a bit of poking around on the subject, I came across statement made by Truls Lynne Hansen, Tromso Geophysical Observatory. He said the spirals blue glow was from the sunlight reflecting on the leaking fuel, even though the event happened at night. Huh?

What do we really know about Mr. Von Rompuy? Has anyone ever stopped to think about him? He certainly did not gain the favor of the kingdom, and he definitely has a fierce countenance. I am just curious, has he ever had an interview on American television? I'm not saying this is the case at all, but coupled with the weird lights in the sky at the same time as his rise to power, could we be looking at Maitreya?(who claims he can take any form he wants). Will he come on US tv and give an interview that makes everyone love him? Just some pondering I've been doing.

ReplyDeleteNo. There's no evidence of a buildup. And
I'm very disappointed in Baldwin's article, seeing as how I voted for the man. The report is straight out of the KGB playbook, is nothing more than wishful thinking on their part, maybe yours too? Even if there was a build up, it would be likely in prep for possibility of the Afghan war spilling over into Pakistan. Or yet another reason, if such a buildup were to occur, which it's not, is in case Israel really does hit Iran nuke sites. Anything can happen, but a civil war is a not on the horizon. Another possibility for a build up is that it would reduce the numbers of unemployed, make the big Zero look like he's accomplishing something.
Constance, I agree that Prince Charles does not meet the prophetic situation for AC.
ReplyDeleteAs for Mr. Solana, he could have a Jewish background, hidden, as many Scots do. His grandma was a Scot, as you recall. There is an interesting book"When Scotland Was Jewish". It may be somewhat wide-ranging and imprecise, but it gives a believable recounting of the many Jews who went incognito to Scotland in the Middle Ages. However, the authors state that most of these Jews seem to have been converts in Spain in the 9th century (that is, descendants of same), and not descended from King David, as the Jews expect their messiah to be. I have realized, however, that many Scots Jews who WERE descendants of King David could have been intermarried with the descendants of Hispanic converts.
My Scottish 1/4 comes almost certainly from this group of hidden Jews who came from Iberia through southern France, northern France, and then on to England and Scotland in the 12th century and following.
So it is an interesting subject to me personally.
Mr. Solana is but one of those who may have such a background.

I agree that this article is misleading people. If there is to be a Civil War in America, it will be caused by people writing articles to incited the people to revolt. I think it is better said that articles are being written and rumours circulated about a possible civil war in order to bring it to fruition.
