Holocaust Museum Tragedy - Will it be "a crisis that equals opportunity" for Alliance of Civilizations?

At the left is the Google Earth entry on the European Union Satellite Centre -- controlled by Javier Solana as you can see.

I am deeply concerned about recent events and the emphasis that CNN and other news media have accorded them. Yesterday, an 88 year old notorious anti-Semite activist went to the Holocaust Museum in Washington,D.C. ( I personally contributed to that institution over the years -- it commemorates something we must never forget!)

James von Brunn, an 88 year old man who should have been concentrating on making peace with the Lord instead went the Holocaust Museum armed with a rifle. He shot and killed a security guard. He, himself is in critical condition in a Washington, D.C. hospital. The Alliance of Civilization folks who would regulate religious curriculums worldwide, armed with governmental treaty authority from their "Group of Friends" have made great hay over this crisis which to them equals the opportunity to justify their war on the right of people to hold their religious beliefs. At the same time, I am watching those adding fuel to their fires such as Texe Marrs who continues to non-stop put out exactly the type of Jew baiting incendiary literature while deceiving many into a belief that he is a devout, God-fearing Christian. Texe is too sophisticated in governmental/military matters to be doing this innocently. He has to know that he will bring increased ugly scrutiny upon all of us. That is why I have urged in the past and continue to do that nobody link my name or my work to Texe Marrs who shamelessly plagiarized parts of my 1983 book, THE HIDDEN DANGERS OF THE RAINBOW, to qualify himself as an expert against the New Age Movement. Simultaneously, Texe has advertised his work in New Age publications such as NEXUS Magazine. I rather suspect Texe might know more about the New Age Movement than I -- from inside. He is shamelessly propagating the worst anti-Jew, anti-Semitic aspects of the New Age Movement.

I keep remembering that the game plan of the New Age Movement as set forth in many sources, including Alice Ann Bailey's book, THE RAYS AND THE INITIATIONS and Peter LeMesurier's THE ARMAGEDDON SCRIPT was to pit the target groups of Jews, Christians, and Moslems against each other. A game plan is obviously being followed of termites from within, wrecking balls from without. Let us remember to walk, as the godly King Josiah was said to have done, "neither to the right hand, nor to the left, but strictly in the paths of the Lord.

I will be discussing this situation tonight on my internet radio program, MY PERSPECTIVE at www.themicroeffect.com.

Stay tuned!

Not to mention the Negroponte reports that the worst enemy of the US is homegrown malitia.
This one is definitely homegrown, a veteran, anti government, with a group behind him that is religious.
This is definitly being used by her and her homeland security in courtrooms accross the nation as we speak.

    Constance,

I have been doing some research of my own. And the guy's website calls Yahweh a genocidal maniac, says Jesus was not Jewish, etc. I don't know how the media can call him a Christian. This is the New Age all the way.

    Constance,

FrontPage Magazine, had an article that got it right.

JEHOVAH, like Alley Oop, says whatever the scriptwriters print in the blurbs. Those who find it compelling to believe Yahweh created a flat earth, circa 5000 B.C., spoke from a burning bush, bared his buttocks, parted the Red Sea, and loves JEWS above all other nations, share a childish credulity with those who believe millions of JEWS died in German gas-chambers. It also confirms JEWISH conviction that Gentiles are stupid sheep. It makes one want to puke. (p. 32.)

Having vilified the Father, he turns his focus to the Son. “Jesus (if he did exist),” Von Brunn wrote, “was born in Galilee (‘Unclean Land of the Gentiles’).” (p. 57.) In a post on the appropriately named website Antichrist.net, Von Brunn expanded on the reason Saul of Tarsus, a former rabbi, would become the chief apostle of this religion to the Gentiles:

Saul -- a Roman citizen -- suddenly realized how he could destroy Rome! Saul trembled uncontrollably with fear and joy. He would simply promulgate the insane teachings of Jesus! What better way to destroy a Nation -- any Nation -- than to undermine her hubris; her gods, ethics, mores, history, her gene-pool -- in short, Saul would DESTROY ROMAN CULTURE. Then, as night follows day, with her foundations rotted, the Roman Empire would FALL. Saul decided to begin the HOAX by inventing a miraculous encounter on the road to Damascus with the reincarnated Jesus the Christ!

Toward that end -- no different than Hollywood script-writers today -- Saul created a bogus a la Spielberg docu-drama stuffed with lies, miracles, guilt trips, betrayal, virgin birth, eternal damnation, salvation -- a scenario appealing to the superstitious, vulnerable, ignorant yearning sheep -- he named his hoax "Christianity." …

The Gospels profess that only Christians may enter Yahweh's Kingdom of Heaven. To qualify, among other demands, Christians must LOVE THEIR ENEMIES (Jews); give away their personal belongings; eschew knowledge; judge not, despise nature, abandon earthly pleasures, acknowledge that all YHWH's children are equal; and above all else worship YHWH, the jealous, wrathful, vengeful, unforgiving, genocidal, anthropomorphic tribal god (Jesus' father) created by Hebrews in their image and likeness….The Big Lie technique, employed by Paul to create the CHRISTIAN RELIGION, also was used to create the HOLOCAUST RELIGION ... CHRISTIANITY AND THE HOLOCAUST are HOAXES.

"Christianity" destroyed Roman Civilization. The "Holocaust" Religion is destroying Western Civilization. The Aryan gene-pool dies, "unwept, unhonored and unsung."

Texe Marrs turned me off years ago, Constance, because of his narrow view on Catholics. As I recall, he joined Dave Hunt in considering all of them apostates who were going to Hell. It's been years since I read a Texe Marrs book, so don't quote me on that exactly. But he was so full of hate I could not read him.

Having known Catholics whom I consider very worthy Christians, and having been a Catholic myself, I think I know more than Texe Marrs on this. Not that I didn't find some bad stuff in at least one diocese where I had to leave the Church. And worthy Catholics I speak of included priests: Brian Corcoran now pastor of St. John's in Encinitas, Father Jack Stawasc of St Theresa's parish in Maui--friends of ours forever.

    Mariel,

The idea that "The Catholic church is the whore of Babylon" is found in most white-supremist groups, such as the KKK, Christian identity etc. Could it be that some Protestants churches have picked this up from them?

Some Identity Christians believe that a version of Christianity must have existed before Roman Christianity entered Europe. Proponents of this theology cite the existence of Celtic Christianity and its struggles with Roman Christianity as evidence, arguing that Celtic Christianity must have been a reflection of the native beliefs of many European tribes. On a related note, many Christian Identity churches display animosity towards the Roman Catholic Church, referring to it as the Whore of Babylon.

Savvy, I know a Celtic church existed in S Ireland before St Patrick showed up in N. Ireland. It centered around a bishop (often married, occasionally hereditary), a literate class, homes gathered around the central worship center. This was the area from which my Irish ancestors came. Sometimes the "Celtic" church now is typically New Age, not my dish of tea, and excuse for abuse...I've seen the abuse with my own eyes in one "Celtic church" which usurped a Roman Catholic parish. I am not an expert on any of this: I just know that somehow Christians with many different names have survived since the days of Jesus. I have found them under many names in various places.

The Catholic Church does have a Celtic Rite, but this differs from Celtic Christianity, which was founded by Pelagius a church father in the 5th century. His views were considered heretical, because it denied original sin and the concept of Christian grace.

    British Israelism

    http://www.religioustolerance.org/anglo_is.htm

The chief purveyor of British-Israelism is the Merovingian Prieuré de Sion, the central command of all secret societies, which plans to place one of their Jewish bloodline on the throne of the rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem. This positioning of a false messiah, whom the world will worship as Christ, has been carefully planned and executed over many centuries. The grand scheme of the Prieuré de Sion will culminate, according to former Grand Master, Sir Isaac Newton (1691-1727) when the secret societies "bring Jesus down" to earth.

"9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

"...The last missing week: 62+7+1=70 starts in 1996 and runs for 7 years. Half-way through - in 2000 we bring down Jesus causing the sacrifice to cease:

"9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."

The Merovingian legend misrepresents Jesus Christ as a member of the Essene Community of Qumran (also called Nazarenes), whose messianic vision was to unite Jew and Gentile in order to deliver the world from the power of the evil Roman Empire. According to Merovingian lore, Jesus married Mary Magdalene and fathered children. When Jesus failed in his mission, Mary and Joseph of Arimethea fled from Israel to Europe. The royal bloodline of Jesus Christ, claim the Rosicrucians, continued in Great Britain as the Merovingian dynasty. Another version of the British-Israel doctrine maintains that the ten northern tribes of Israel migrated from their captivity in Assyria to the British Isles.

Savvy, the Celtic Christians who lived in southern Ireland before Patrick were not Pelagians, as far as I know. I understand that they were very early Christians, before Rome got solidified as "Christian Central". These people were probably a "lost tribe", but which one? There were several migrations to Ireland of "Hebrews", mostly before Christ, and certainly before Celts (that is what I read, anyway. There is lots of stuff on the web).

I have read quite a bit on the ancestry of my Irish and Scots ancestors. The Scots, who came through Ireland and Iberia (meaning Hebrew in Spanish) claim vociferously that they were from Scythia near the Black Sea (see the Treaty of Abroath in, I believe, the l4th century, which was signed by my kinsman Eustace Maxwell). But whence came they to Scythia, the undoubted homeland? Some say they were originally Hebrew, but some also say they were not of the Abraham-Isaac-Jacob covenant. And some go so far to say that they were these Illuminati who are trying to position the false Christ.
They are not "true Jews". Although this is all tantilizing, it is a travesty of Christianity and also of the Abrahamic faith. As we know!
That is why we oppose it, isn't it?
I am ready to barf with Holywood's presentation of this as fascinating, good, etc.

    Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON (AP) - The No. 2 Republican in the House on Thursday compared President Barack Obama's plans for the auto industry to the policies of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, saying the White House has stripped credit holders of rights and given them to Democratic allies.

"They said, 'Set aside the rule of law, let's strip secured creditors, bondholders, of their rights. Take them away outside of the bankruptcy process and give them to the political cronies and the auto workers' unions," Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va., said in an interview with The Associated Press.

"It's almost like looking at Putin's Russia," added Canton, the GOP's House whip. "You want to reward your political friends at the expense of the certainty of law?"

    Savvy, Mariel,
It's important to make a distinction between the false teaching of British Israelism and the true Biblical account of the scattering of the Northern Tribes.

There are several facts that can be proven Biblically.

    1) the Northern tribes were exiled and scattered in a separate exile from Judah. Assyria vs Babylon. Judah came back, Northern Kingdom didn't.
    2) God, one day will bring them back and restore their tribal identities as well as their land inheritances.
    3) The House of Judah ( Jews) and the House of Israel ( Northern Kingdom sometimes called Ephraimites..who have lost their identity) will once again become one nation, under one King.

Jews are 2 1/2 tribes of Israel ( Judah, Benjamin, Levi). The descendants of the Northern Kingdom who are identified by the name of Joseph's son Ephraim ( because Ephraim had leadership over the Northern Kingdom, just as Judah did over the Southern Kingdom) are among the nations.

God said that His people would be scattered to the four corners of the earth, but that He would shake them out of the nations one day. As the living Torah, Yeshua's gospel goes out to the nations, I believe these sheep will be gathered up. One day Judah and the House of Israel will become "one stick".

This is the prophecy of Ezekiel 37, but it is also the prophecy of Romans 11 when properly translated..( because the Northern Kingdom literally became the "fullness of the nations")

God's desire has always been to restore us to wholeness ( shalom) and to delight ( eden). The book of Revelations connects right back to Genesis.

The snake is trying to get people to eat from the wrong tree...that would be the UN tree, or to build a tower with bricks.. that would be babel, or to make bricks for Pharoah, that's called slavery or Egypt.

This is why God gave us His Torah.. When we "hear and obey" His voice, we will not listen to the voice of the snake, who will try to convince us to "become like God".

We were already created in God's image.. We don't need to try to "become like Him".. We just need to eat from the tree of Life.. Yeshua.. the Word that became flesh. The same Torah that was guarded by the cherubim with the flaming swords.

Yeshua didn't come to cancel Torah. He came to live it to its fulness and show us how to live it, and then He atoned for our violations of it... thus taking away the death penalty. Torah is the tree of life because it's God's teaching and instructions.

The good news is that Yeshua was slain from the foundation of the world, and we have access to the tree of life.

Judaism and Christianity have both left something out.. Judaism leaves out Yeshua, and Christianity leaves out Torah. Yeshua is Torah, and therefore we need both.

When God shakes ALL of Israel out of the nations, the nations will see it and give glory to the God of Israel, who does not change.

Here is the prophecy, but it's also Eze 37:

Is. 11:10 ¶ Then in that day
The nations will resort to the root of Jesse,
    Who will stand as a signal for the peoples;
And His resting place will be glorious.
Is. 11:11 ¶ Then it will happen on that day that the Lord
Will again recover the second time with His hand
The aremnant of His people, who will remain,
From Assyria, cEgypt, Pathros, Cush, dElam, Shinar, Hamath,
And from the islands of the sea.
Is. 11:12 And He will lift up a standard for the nations
And assemble the banished ones of Israel,
And will gather the dispersed of Judah
From the four corners of the earth.
Is. 11:13 Then the jealousy of Ephraim will depart,
    And those who harass Judah will be cut off;
Ephraim will not be jealous of Judah,
And Judah will not harass Ephraim.

    Zechariah says the same thing:

Zech. 10:6 “I will strengthen the house of Judah,
And I will bsave the house of Joseph,
And I will bring them back,
    Because I have had compassion on them;
And they will be as though I had not rejected them,
For I am the LORD their God and I will answer them.
Zech. 10:7 “Ephraim will be like a mighty man,
    And their heart will be glad as if from wine;
Indeed, their achildren will see it and be glad,
1Their heart will rejoice in the LORD.
Zech. 10:8 “I will whistle for them to gather them together,
    For I have redeemed them;
And they will be as numerous as they were before.
Zech. 10:9 “When I scatter them among the peoples,
They will remember Me in far countries,
And they with their children will live and come back.
Zech. 10:10 “I will bring them back from the land of Egypt
    And gather them from Assyria;
And I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon
Until no room can be found for them.

If we cannot see this prophecy, we will not understand God's plan to restore shalom to His people, and we might attach ourselves to something else.

Remember the question asked to Yeshua..

Acts 1:6 So when they had come together, they were asking Him, saying, “Lord, ais it at this time You are restoring the kingdom to Israel?”

    Here's His answer:
    Acts 1:7 He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or epochs which athe Father has fixed by His own authority;

He didn't say it's not being restored.. so the implication is that it will be restored and all of Scripture says that it will.

The implications of these prophecies for the nations is that they must be like Ruth, and regardless of their nationality, they must attach themselves to the God of Israel and His people.

Yeshua loved Israel, and came to die for His people to redeem them. We should be willing to do likewise, and those of us who are true disciples might have to one day because the nations will turn against Israel.

Zech. 14:3 Then the LORD will go forth and afight against those nations, as 1when He fights on a day of battle.
Zech. 14:4 In that day His feet will astand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be bsplit in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south.
Zech. 14:5 You will flee by the valley of My mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azel; yes, you will flee just as you fled before the aearthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. bThen the LORD, my God, will come, and all the holy ones with 1Him!
Zech. 14:6-9 In that day there will be no light; the luminaries will dwindle. For it will be a unique day which is known to the LORD, neither day nor night, but it will come about that at evening time there will be light. And in that day living waters will flow out of Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and the other half toward the western sea; it will be in summer as well as in winter. And the LORD will be king over all the earth; in that day the LORD will be the only one, and His name the only one.

Yeshua is coming back to reign from Jerusalem. This is the Sabbath that awaits us, which right now we are just rehearsing for. One day those of us who love Him, will enter into this rest.

but this is what the Lord said about Israel:

Psa. 106:26 Therefore He swore to them
That He would cast them down in the wilderness,
Psa. 106:27 And that He would cast their seed among the nations
And scatter them in the lands.

Psa. 106:35 But they mingled with the nations
    And learned their practices,
Psa. 106:36 And served their idols,
Which became a snare to them.

This is the God of Israel, a God of compassion:

Psa. 106:45 And He remembered His covenant for their sake, And relented caccording to the greatness of His lovingkindness.
Psa. 106:46 He also made them objects of compassion In the presence of all their captors.

...and one day, the New Jerusalem will come with the names of the 12 tribes on it's gates:

Rev. 21:12 It had a great and high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names were written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel.

So let the UN rage, let the nations rage against God's plan, but make sure you know what His Word says, so that you will not be deceived when the evil day comes.

Ezek. 37:28 “And the nations will know that I am the LORD awho sanctifies Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forever.”’”

    From today's Columbus, Ohio Dispatch:

    Jewish group follows own path
Little Minyan more about faith's ideals than rules
    Friday, June 12, 2009
    By Meredith Heagney
    THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

Instead of meeting in a synagogue, the Little Minyan congregation holds a learning session for children in Whetstone Park. Before splitting into age groups Sunday, they sat in a circle and read from the siddur, a prayer book.
Emia Oppenheim holds her daughter, Ezri White, 8, while helping her son, Kaleb White, 6, find the right page in the siddur during the learning session.
Emia Oppenheim holds her daughter, Ezri White, 8, while helping her son, Kaleb White, 6, find the right page in the siddur during the learning session.
When 6-year-old Kaleb White thinks about God, he sees an image of a man living in the clouds.
When he told that to Jessica Shimberg Lind, the leader of his Jewish congregation, she said her vision was similar when she was younger.
But, she said, "when I thought about God as a 'he' and someone up in the clouds, as you said, that was hard for me as I got older."
Now, "I think of God as just this thankfulness that we are together and we have the opportunity to love people and take care of the Earth."
Shimberg Lind's words weren't just a gentle explanation for little ears. Rather, they summarize the philosophy of the Little Minyan Jewish community, which she founded three years ago with Irene Donhowe.
The two women, both married mothers and lifelong Reform Jews, left Congregation Beth Tikvah in Worthington in search of a stronger sense of community. The Little Minyan, which has no rabbi and no building but now numbers about 70 members, bills itself as progressive, egalitarian and environmentally friendly.
Most of all, its members are focused on the experience of community and the sharing of their ideas of Judaism."

    ReplyDelete
  24. Anonymous7:28 AM

The name came from a joke. In Judaism, a minyan is a group of 10 people required to pray communally.

The earliest members of the group started calling it "the little minyan that could."

The group meets twice a month for Shabbat (Sabbath) services in the lounge of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Upper Arlington.

Today, the Shabbat services will mark the entrance of the Little Minyan into the Jewish Reconstructionist Federation. Reconstructionist Judaism is open to both traditional and untraditional observances and interpretations of the faith and does not see Jewish law as binding.

The Little Minyan is the only Reconstructionist congregation in central Ohio, said Shimberg Lind, 43, of Upper Arlington.

Without the structure of a synagogue, members decide how to observe holidays and rituals. One example is the question of when to break the fast for Yom Kippur.

Some Little Minyan members come from the Orthodox tradition, in which the fast is broken after sundown. Reform Jews tend to break the fast at a more convenient hour, such as 6 p.m., Shimberg Lind said.

In the end, the Little Minyan compromised to break the fast just before sunset.

Such a discussion "brings a community closer together as they travel the journey of making decisions," said Donhowe, a Dublin resident. "With the other denominations, the rules are handed down by the movements."

During Sabbath services, the appointed leader sits in a circle with members rather than standing separately at a lectern. Although members say they would eventually like to employ a rabbi, they are adamant that the person would see himself or herself as part of the community, not the defining element.

As a whole, the community doesn't observe the traditional laws of keeping kosher, Shimberg Lind said. At a Little Minyan potluck, keeping kosher means not using disposable plates, cups or utensils and labeling every dish so people with allergies can make informed choices. The group also prays before each meal.

Like any other congregation, Little Minyan members celebrate life-cycle events such as weddings and bat and bar mitzvahs. They have a tikkun olam -- a "repair the world" committee that plans community service.

Children's education is focused more on participation than rules, Shimberg Lind said. She and Donhowe each have two boys and want their children to be joyful and excited about Judaism.

A children's education program on Sunday was not held in a synagogue but at Whetstone Park of Roses. The older children learned the Hebrew names of the Seven Species of the Holy Land (olives, figs, pomegranates, wheat, barley, dates and grapes) while sitting atop a two-story metal tower over a field of roses with teacher Hillel Meyer.

He also taught the group of eight that the best charity is the kind that's done quietly, without credit or applause.

Shimberg Lind taught Kaleb how to say a Hebrew blessing over wine, except that he drank juice.

Kaleb's mother, Emia Oppenheim, said the Little Minyan is like an extended family.

"That's where the emphasis is," she said. "It's not on an infrastructure but on building a community based on Jewish precepts."

  25. Regarding David Carradine,
Was there ever a more New Age TV
    program than "Kung Fu" ?
    The mystical, magical, martial artist,
played by Carradine was a favorite
for years back in the seventies.

    Often his Buddhist priest character
    was pitted against racist, stupid
    one dimensional characters who
    represented Christianity, of course,
and served to discredit and tear down
    all things American.
I think of that TV show as a major
    beginning for the anti Christian,
    anti American forces that have
been busy piling on ever since.
    Poor David Carradine.

What do Anonymous’ post about the Little Minyan and Joyce’s messages have in common?

They are both about groups who steal Jewish language and use them for causes that attempt to supersede and pull; the rug out from traditional Judaism.

As you all know Judaism is a religion of law. Just as Americans must obey our nation’s and local laws, Jew must obey Jewish law. Someone cannot start a new religion, make up their own laws, call the laws by traditional Jewish terms, and assert that their new religion is Jewish or Toraic. Actually this has attempted several times as Joyce’s tomes and Reconstructionism exemplify.

Notwithstanding the fact that a sinning Jew is still a Jew, the renegade offerings have never, and will never, cut it with the authentic Jewish community. The proponents can be very nice people with good hearts but they are not practicing Judaism and merely serve to confuse the public about what Judaism really is.

  30. Len,
I never pretended to be practicing Judaism.. You heard what I said about Judaism.. Judaism needs Yeshua, and Christians need Torah.. Two sides of the same coin. The Word, and the Word Who became flesh..

King David didn't practice Judaism. He had 5 small stones that were worn by the water from time in memoriam . On the basis of these stones which he picked up and used, he slayed Goliath.

Of course we know that David believed God's promises. The source of David's righteousness was his faith in the Living God, the God of Israel whose Torah David knew, which is why he could lean on the promises. 5 small stones, washed with water from a long time ago were very effective at slaying Goliath. Today too, we must pick up these smooth stones and use them..

I, like David, believe in the God of Israel, in His eteranal truths and in His Yeshua..the Lamb who was slain from m'qedem.. ( before the foundation of the world). I understand where life comes from.

I am not so worried about practicing rabbinic Judaism, as I am of eating of the Tree of Life. The tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil brought death. Had Adam and Eve eaten of the tree of life before eating of the tree of knowlegde of good and evil they would already have eternal life, but the fact is they ate the tree of knowledge of good and evil first. This brought death, separation.

Both aspects of tree are important, but it's knowing which to eat first.

There is much wisdom that can been gleaned from Judaism, and I am not afraid of learning, but I am just chosing to eat from the tree of life first.. It's a question of chosing life over knowledge of good and evil. Once I eat of this tree, I can also eat of the other because I already have life and I am not eating of a tree which can bring me death anymore.

I don't want to build with bricks and mortar, but prefer to use uncut stones...this way I know who I am building the alter for..

In my waying of seeing, all of the isms, are man's brick and mortar, which he brings to God. God has already given us life.. What can we add to it? Once we have life, we hear and do out of love, but remember life has already been given to us..

As you celebrate Shabbat, remember God has rested from the foundation of the world when His work was finished. It was finished on a tree, the tree that brought life.. Yeshua hung on a tree to bring us life....if you eat of Him, you will live forever. This is the true rest that we have, that you may have life and have it abundently.

May Abba bless you and keep you and shine His face upon you, may He be gracious to you, May He lift up His countenance on you and give you shalom!

    Shabbat shalom,

Where did I say you did? Au contraire what I said is that you are stealing Jewish language and using it for causes that attempt to supersede and pull the rug out from under traditional Judaism.

And you prove my point once again in this very message by lying about both Judaism and King David.

You wrote: "King David didn't practice Judaism."

Proof? Even by your own nonsensical criteria, he was a Jew of the tribe of Judah. He wrote many of the Psalms that are part of our Bible; not a scorner of Judaism as you are. One of them that you should heed contains the verse:

“Guard your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceitfully. (Ps 34:14)”

In fact the very first Psalm begins:

Ps 1:1 The praises of a man are that he did not follow the counsel of the wicked, neither did he stand in the way of sinners nor sit in the company of scorners. 2 But his desire is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night.

"But his desire is in the law of the Lord!"

Then you actually had the temerity to write: "I, like David, believe in the God of Israel, in His eteranal truths and in His Yeshua."

David is turning in his grave. Of course, if you were accurate for a change, he would indeed not have been practicing Judaism. But David followed the commandments, not your god:

“--- David My servant, whom I chose, for he kept My commandments and My statutes. (1 Kings 11:34)”

    >> God has already given us life.. What can we add to it? Once we have life, we hear and do out of love, but remember life has already been given to us..

God told us to choose life by heeding His commandments: (Deut. 30:19-20)

What do we call someone who keeps making the same mistake even after countless corrections?

    Mariel,

I just posted this on IF regarding Celtic Christianity and the New Age.

The Merovingian legend has it that a messiah known as "The Michael" will vanquish the revived Holy Roman Empire. Author of The Forgotten Monarchy of Scotland, Prince Michael Stewart of Albany, proclaims the Hebrew Roots of Celtic Christianity precisely because he covets the future throne in the rebuilt temple of Jerusalem.

"[In November 1985] the President of the International Parliament (Mediterranean Security), endorsed by the United Nations, ratified my legal rights as Head of the Royal House of Stewart and Head of the Celtic Church of the Sacred Kindred of Saint Columba. Under International Law, my titles were verified on 4 November 1985 as being Prince and Lord of Scotland, Duke of Kintyre, Prince of Ireland, France, Poland and Jerusalem, Duke of Normandy, Aquitaine and Touraine, legitimate titular claimant to the Throne of Scots, and legal Pretender to the Throne of Britain." [p. 306]

    THE STONE OF DESTINY

Herbert Armstrong shared the Merovingian belief in a mythical Stone of Destiny which was formerly Jacob's Pillar, and that this stone upon which kings of Scotland and England were traditionally identified and crowned, will be used in the coronation of Christ as the King of Israel.

On the Stewart Clan Internet Home is a page about the Stone of Destiny, which has recently been moved from England to Scotland, but will be consulted to validate the messiah who will rule the world from Jerusalem. Predictably, the authenticity of this stone has been debunked as another British-Israel ruse:

"...according to The New Century Dictionary, 'The Stone of Scone [is] a famous stone, formerly at Scone, Scotland, upon which the Scottish kings sat at coronation: now beneath the coronation chair in Westminster Abbey.' After examination of the stone in 1865, Professor A.C. Ramsey of the Geology Department of London University...judged it to be of Scottish origin. 'This report has been confirmed by every subsequent examination of the names of the British people.'" (The Armstrong Empire, p. 79)

    THE SCEPTER OF AUTHORITY

The thesis of Peter Michas' book, The Rod of an Almond Tree in God's Master Plan, is built upon the myth that a branch from the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden was passed through generations of Israelites to David who planted it on the Mount of Olives. This rod, which possessed magical powers because it was engraved with the Ineffable Name, YHWH, would become the tree upon which Christ was crucified. Subsequently, it became a relic which will be returned by Elijah the prophet to validate the true Messiah, who will take his place upon the Throne (Mercy Seat) at the rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem:

"The fate of the crucifixion tree is not known; however, it can be assumed that it was eventually cut down and destroyed... It is possible that a branch of this tree was preserved, for it is to be returned by the prophet Elijah to the Messiah when He returns to establish the Millennial kingdom." (Rod of an Almond Tree, p. 149)

Peter Michas' teaching of the sacred branch is also found in Bloodline of the Holy Grail, by Laurence Gardner, where the sacred lineage of Jesus Christ through the Merovingian bloodline, is symbolized by the sprouting rod of Jesse:

Len, you know and understand Judaism, but you have a long way to go before you understand what the New Age movement is and does. Just how long has it been since you seriously suspected something unreported by the press was going on?

The movement spreads through deceit. New Age is a belief system that is very missionary. To understand it you need to know the philosophy. Only when you know the philosophy can you see the organizations and individuals who are spreading it. Innocently or deliberately, the movement members don't label themselves each and every time.

I can just see it. An honest write up would say somewhere that the believers believe in a collective, controlled, pagan utopia similar to that promoted by the Nazis and that members have worked in a collective effort to reach their goals for over a hundred years now in this new burst.

Mary. who is hearing a sugar-coated view of the belief system being promoted, would say to herself, "Could it be that what I'm learning is really New Age?"

Of course those at the top of the New Age pyramid have to lie. Where on the pyramid the liars stop and the true believers and suckers start can only be gather by studying each section of the pyramid.

Don't ask me who is sitting as the capstone. At this point it still remains speculation. Liars don't out themselves.

Savvy, Prince Michael of Albany was shown to be an impostor a few years back. He was discussed on a Jacobite newsgroup I went to with the hope of learning more about genealogy. A few people there believed he was the rightful heir to the throne of Scotland, while most believed he was an impostor. His false natire was eventually revealed, and he "skipped town" to Europe. I eventually left the Jacobite group, where they were still debating who was the rightful heir. The more traditionalist people upheld the claim of Duke Franz of Bavaria (who has a small slice of native Scots blood) and his niece Sophie of Leichtenstein whose son was born in England while Sophie and her husband were studying. Others were trying to find a true heir down the "male side", and not doing too well. They were united in their common rejection of the "usurping" Hanovers, i.e., the present holders of the British throne. A few of them thought they were actually the heir/heiress themselves. The listowner was a handsome red-haired boy who lived in Greece with his parents and practiced Bahai, a syncretist religion. Sometimes I miss those people.

Thanks for that information. I noticed the links between movements. Herbert W. Armstrong Worldwide Church of God leads to it's offshoots, British Israelism, which lead to it's offshoots, the Hebrew roots movement and similar Messianic movements disguished as Christians. All these groups can be traced back to Christian identity and other such white supremist/Afrocentric movements. It's interesting how people fall into traps without knowing the history of a particular movement. Based on my research a common, theme that can be found in these movements is anti-semitism and anti-catholicism.

Dozens of US cities may have entire neighbourhoods bulldozed as part of drastic "shrink to survive" proposals being considered by the Obama administration to tackle economic decline.

The government looking at expanding a pioneering scheme in Flint, one of the poorest US cities, which involves razing entire districts and returning the land to nature.

Local politicians believe the city must contract by as much as 40 per cent, concentrating the dwindling population and local services into a more viable area.

The radical experiment is the brainchild of Dan Kildee, treasurer of Genesee County, which includes Flint.

Having outlined his strategy to Barack Obama during the election campaign, Mr Kildee has now been approached by the US government and a group of charities who want him to apply what he has learnt to the rest of the country.

Mr Kildee said he will concentrate on 50 cities, identified in a recent study by the Brookings Institution, an influential Washington think-tank, as potentially needing to shrink substantially to cope with their declining fortunes.

The European Union is stepping up efforts to build an enhanced pan-European system of security and surveillance which critics have described as “dangerously authoritarian”.

Civil liberties groups say the proposals would create an EU ID card register, internet surveillance systems, satellite surveillance, automated exit-entry border systems operated by machines reading biometrics and risk profiling systems.

Europe's justice ministers will hold talks on the "domestic security policy" and surveillance network proposals, known in Brussels circles as the "Stockholm programme", on July 15 with the aim of finishing work on the EU's first ever internal security policy by the end of 2009.

Jacques Barrot, the European justice and security commissioner, yesterday publicly declared that the aim was to "develop a domestic security strategy for the EU", once regarded as a strictly national "home affairs" area of policy.

"National frontiers should no longer restrict our activities," he said.

Mark Francois, Conservative spokesman on Europe, has demanded "immediate clarity on where the government stands on this".

"These are potentially dangerous proposals which could interfere in Britain's internal security," he said.

"The chaos and division in Gordon Brown's government is crippling Britain's ability to make its voice heard in Europe."

Savvy, I read the article about the Da Vinci Code promoting Identity Christianity and British Israelism. I agree with most of that, and it expanded my knowledge of it. However, I do not believe that all Messianic groups are anti-semites disguised under Christianity. The group I have sometimes attended over several years is about half "real Jews" and about half "lost Jews", with a slight preponderance of the "real Jews" who are attracted to a group which teaches Torah and yet accepts Yeshua as messiah. This is definitely NOT an anti-Jewish group.
It does go too far, for my taste, in condemning some mainline Christian practices such as celebrating Christmas, and it's pretty critical of both Catholic and Protestant churches as a whole.
But certainly not anti-Jewish. I like this group but it's a long commute for me, and I get perplexed at times when they are too stringent about not observing mainline Christian holidays, which are social events that my family (mostly atheist) uses to promote family relationships.

Anyway, thanks for a very interesting tip in reading.

    Len,

I prefer to translate the word "law" from the original Hebrew Torah. Torah is not a synonym for Judaism.
You are making that leap, but Scripture doesn't. I like to stick with Scripture, if you don't mind.

David loved Torah and obeyed, most of the time, but sometimes he didn't. We all fall short of God's glory and David was no exception. His sin was not a small thing and there were consequences for him and for his family. He took a man's wife, Bathseba and committed adultery and sent the Uriah out to the front lines of battle to die, and while he repented, the fact is that he did not always obey Torah...and neither do we.

He had problems in his family. His son tried to usurp his throne.. Sometimes we have rebellion in our families. Absalom stole his fathers wives, the ultimate act of rebellion and an attempt to establish himself as king, but we know only God can establish kings and dispose of them.

Nonetheless, David was a man after God's heart, because he believed in God's promises. He loved God's teachings and instructions..even with his mistakes in life.

Torah, means teachings, instructions and in a sense law, but the root of Torah is "yarah", which in Hebrew helps us to determine the meaning of the word, so let's look at the word yarah:

3384. יׇרׇה yarah, yaw-raw´; or (2 Chr. 26:15) יׇרׇא yara, yaw-raw´; a primitive root; properly, to flow as water (i.e. to rain); transitively, to lay or throw (especially an arrow, i.e. to shoot); figuratively, to point out (as if by aiming the finger), to teach:—(+) archer, cast, direct, inform, instruct, lay, shew, shoot, teach(-er,-ing), through.

When we "miss the mark" we call this sin.

We don't call Torah, "Judaism" although Judaism has taken Torah and added Talmud, Mishna.

I love God's Torah, His teachings, instructions, laws, i.e. obey Torah, love Yeshua, and am from the House of Judah. Therefore I am a Jew, but I don't practice modern day rabbinic Judaism. I am a Jew like the men and women of the Scriptures who were from Judah. There are many examples of men and women in the Bible who never practiced Judaism. In fact we don't really see Judaism until we get to the Newer Covenant. Paul practiced Judaism, but when he met Yeshua he interpreted Torah in light of knowing Yeshua. He still practiced Torah because in Acts 21 he took a vow and brought animal sacrifices.

If you can point to a verse in all of the Tanach that says one of the Priests, Prophets or Kings was practicing "Judaism" then I could agree with you, but as it stands Judaism developed after.

Judaism attempted to "codify" Torah, to build fences around it so that men would not violate Torah. When Torah is written on our minds, there is no need to codify Torah. The Ruach HaKodesh leads us in all truth.

So, in summary, Torah is not Judaism, Torah is Torah, Judaism adds to Torah, extra-biblical instructions. To become a rabbi one must know Mishna. The Torah never talks about Mishna, neither does the Tanach.

There were many men and woman in Tanach who practiced Torah, but never, ever knew or had Mishna.

The group that came out of Egypt was called Israel. The two and half tribes associated with the fourth tribe Judah ( and others who may have joined ) were later called Jews. The other 10 tribes were called Israel, house of Israel, Ephraim, Northern Kingdom. They never practiced Judaism. Judaism developed as a result of exile.

Torah is good, it's holy, it's God's teaching and instruction and it's for all Israel and those who associate themselves with Israel. It is not abolished because Yeshua didn't come to abolish it but to fill it up with meaning. To fill it up fully, from the Greek word pleroo.

    cont'd

    cont'd

    Yeshua said:

Matt. 5:17-19 “Do not think that I came to abolish the Torah or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. “For truly I say to you, auntil heaven and earth pass away, not 1the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. “Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches 1others to do the same, shall be called least ain the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Keep means to guard, to watch over... just like in the Adam was supposed to guard the garden.. but then the cherubim "guard the way to the tree of life".. The flaming swords are not to keep you away from that tree, because the cherubim were in the mishkan too. You have to know the way back to the Garden, and it is through the tree of life.

The truth is Len, we need both Yeshua and His Torah. It's not one or the other.

God never asked us to codify His instructions. He simply said "hear and do".

I equate religion with building bricks for Pharaoh, and relationship with building an altar for God.. One is made with bricks and mortar and is extremely laborious. The other is built with uncut stones. We come empty-handed because we can simply draw near to Him and worship Him in response to all that He has done for us.

He took us from dust and breathed life into us. Are we going to built a tower to reach up to the sky? He gave us life, then He gave His life to redeem us. Religion ( any religion) is not a substitute for a relationship with Him.

David understood this. David sinned, but David's heart was sold out for Him. David understood the promises and walked in faith. To say that David practices Judaism ( which didn't exist at that time) would be a great distortion of the truth of what the Tanach teaches us..

I'm writing this for the people on the blog as much as for you because Christians have been raised to think that Judaism is the "religion of the Old Testament" but the historical and Biblical record says otherwise.

By the Second Temple period there was Judaism, and Yeshua was continually correcting the mistakes of the religious leaders of His day, most of whom were corrupt ( unlike King David) and in cahoots with the Roman rulers.

It is very important to put the Newer Covenant in this context or we will not properly interpret Yeshua's comments and think He came to "do away with Torah" which is simply not true..

To put Dorothy's comments about New Age pyramid in Biblical terms, I would say again.. there are people making bricks with tar and mortar for Pharaoh. I believe HaSatan himself is at the very top of the New Age pyramid.

I know some of you don't like my extensive use of Scripture on the blog, but when trying to discern between truth and lies, Scripture is our only weapon.

Ultimately, religion will not save us. God does. It is extremely important in our day to know His voice. Then we will not build towers, and bricks and other worthless things that will burn up like stubble and hay.

1Cor. 3:12-14 Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, 1precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each man’s work will become evident; for bthe day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test 1the quality of each man’s work. If any man’s work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward.

The holy temple God is building is made of living stones whose foundation is none other than Yeshua:

Eph. 2:19-22 So then you are no longer astrangers and aliens, but you are bfellow citizens with the 1saints, and are of cGod’s household,
having been abuilt on bthe foundation of cthe apostles and prophets, dChrist Jesus Himself being the ecorner stone,in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into ba holy 1temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being abuilt together into a bdwelling of God in the Spirit.

The dividing wall of Second Temple Judaism has been taken down.. It should never have been there in the first place. God's house was meant to be a house of prayer for ALL the nations.

God's Torah is for all the nations, and God's Yeshua is for all the nations as well. One day, under His covenant of Shalom we will see the Garden restored.

The flip side of this is that Netanyahu is maintaining a coalition because he will not cede to pressure, so it will be interesting to see how he deals with this.

There was some speculation that he was chosen "for such a time as this" because a peace deal could only happen if the Israeli people had confidence in the leader in power to protect their interests..

Yet I would add that there is a "singular" entity in charge directing/feeding the NA rebellion with the goal of co-opting or destroying humanity. Has been since the beginning. After all, we are created in God's image, and it is God, that the enemy seeks to destroy/replace.

Unable to accomplish that goal, the secondary goal is to promote a "human rebellion", designed to co-opt and/or destroy human will and/or our ability/desire to worship the Creator.

The NA perspective is obviously no longer quite so secret these days. Obvious aspects of it have become pervasive, accepted and quite popular, not just in our emerging "global" society, but much closer to home.

Nearly all the leading techo-geeks are on board with the NA transhumanism philosophy. Those that have brought us so much convenience and a revved up lifestyle have also created the ability to control, change, or destroy us.

Sure, maybe the darkest details, and still more of the intricate "people connections" are yet to be revealed. But all you really have to do is read the headlines to know the hour is at hand.

As in the days of Noah....

    James 1:27 says
"Pure RELIGION and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, [and] to keep himself unspotted from the world."

    Religion=thrā-skā'-ä #2356

    1) religious worship.
    a) esp. external, that which consists of ceremonies.
    1a) religious discipline, religion.

    Root Word: #2357=thrā-sko's
    1) fearing or worshipping God.
    2) to tremble 2a) trembling, fearful.

The word "religion" gets a bad rap so I thought I'd give it some kudo's.

I understand what one poster said, I am just stating another perspective.

We must continue in what God has saved us for. Amen!

Does anybody have an opinion on crop circles? There are some really disturbing ones showing different constellations, but most recently a Phoenix bird with his tail feathers on fire. I know the Phoenix has a lot to do with the NAM and something about him rising out of the ashes...these crop circles are massive and very beautifully done, I don't know how a bunch of kids (or just anybody) could pull these off with such precision. Please let me know your thoughts, here is the link.

I never said all Messianics are New Agers, but based on my research the Identity groups too do not celebrate Christian feasts, because they think the Catholic Church replaced Aryan feasts, giving them Jewish origins. Those into paganism simply celebrate pagan versions of the same.

    Anon 1:27,

The qualifiers are pure and undefiled. Not sure that James was talking about forming a "new" religion per say, but living pure and undefiled lives.

I like the way Isaiah puts it too:

Is. 58:6-14 “Is this not the fast which I choose,
To loosen the bonds of wickedness,
To undo the bands of the yoke,
And to let the oppressed go free
And break every yoke? “Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry
    And bring the homeless poor into the house;
    When you see the naked, to cover him;
And not to hide yourself from your own flesh? “Then your alight will break out like the dawn,
    And your recovery will speedily spring forth;
    And your righteousness will go before you;
The glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.
    “Then you will call, and the LORD will answer;
You will cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’
If you bremove the yoke from your midst,
The pointing of the finger and speaking wickedness, And if you give yourself to the hungry
And satisfy the desire of the afflicted,
Then your light will rise in darkness
And your gloom will become like midday. “And the LORD will continually guide you,
And satisfy your 1desire in scorched places,
    And give strength to your bones;
    And you will be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail. “Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins;
    You will braise up the age-old foundations;
And you will be called the repairer of the breach, The restorer of the streets in which to dwell. “If because of the sabbath, you turn your foot From doing your own pleasure on My holy day, And call the sabbath a delight, the holy day of the LORD honorable, And honor it, desisting from your own ways,
From seeking your own pleasure And speaking your own word, Then you will take delight in the LORD,
And I will make you ride on the heights of the earth; And I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father, For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”

Imagine if we all lived like this...

    Solana's Hizbullah meeting irks Israel
    Jun 13, 2009 22:07
    | Updated Jun 13, 2009 23:17
    By HAVIV RETTIG-GUR AND AP

A senior European Union diplomat's meeting with a Hizbullah legislator in Beirut drew harsh condemnation from Israel on Saturday.

"This is unprecedented and demands clarification," Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor said of the meeting between EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana and Hizbullah lawmaker Hussein Hajj Hassan.

The meeting marked the first time a senior EU diplomat met with the Iranian-backed terror organization.

Palmor pointed to a 2005 European Parliament resolution that noted that "clear evidence exists of terrorist activities by Hizbullah" and calls on the EU Council to "take all necessary steps to curtail them."

That resolution passed 473-33 in the parliament, but was not binding on EU policymakers.

"The European Parliament has already ruled that Hizbullah is a terror organization," said Palmor. "It would be appropriate for the [EU] Commission to listen to the parliament on this issue."

Palmor noted that the gesture to Hizbullah came on the day when the world learned of the landslide reelection victory of the Holocaust-denying president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

"Hizbullah is one of few organizations that welcomed this development. This should to be food for thought for the European Commission," he said.

WHAT ARE THE RULING ELITES' CHECKS & BALANCES?

Daniel Estulin's "True Story of the Bilderberg Group" and What They May Be Planning Now

    by Stephen Lendman

    Monday, 1 June 2009

For over 14 years, Daniel Estulin has investigated and researched the Bilderberg Group's far-reaching influence on business and finance, global politics, war and peace, and control of the world's resources and its money.

His book, ''The True Story of the Bilderberg Group,'' was published in 2005 and is now updated in a new 2009 edition. He states that in 1954, "the most powerful men in the world met for the first time" in Oosterbeek, Netherlands, "debated the future of the world," and decided to meet annually in secret. They called themselves the Bilderberg Group with a membership representing a who's who of world power elites, mostly from America, Canada, and Western Europe with familiar names like David Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger, Bill Clinton, Gordon Brown, Angela Merkel, Alan Greenspan, Ben Bernanke, Larry Summers, Tim Geithner, Lloyd Blankfein, George Soros, Donald Rumsfeld, Rupert Murdoch, other heads of state, influential senators, congressmen and parliamentarians, Pentagon and NATO brass, members of European royalty, selected media figures, and invited others - some quietly by some accounts like Barack Obama and many of his top officials.

Always well represented are top figures from the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), IMF, World Bank, Trilateral Commission, EU, and powerful central bankers from the Federal Reserve, the ECB's Jean-Claude Trichet, and Bank of England's Mervyn King.

The following is a biography from Wikipedia on Daniel Estulin. It is to be observed that he is not described as a "conspiracy theorist."

    DANIEL ESTULIN
Daniel Estulin (born in Russia) is an author who specializes in investigating the Bilderberg Group, an annual invitation-only conference of the elites in the fields of business, media and politics. He is known for his extensive works about this group and for his books on communication techniques.

In an interview, Estulin describes his background, which led him to his profession:

"I’m a Russian ex-patriot who was kicked out of the Soviet Union in 1980. My father was a dissident who fought for freedom of speech who was jailed, tortured by the KGB. Suffered two political deaths. When these people got tired of us they threw us out. We moved to Canada and 12 years ago I came to Spain. My grandfather was a colonel in the KGB and the counter-intelligence in the 1950s, so I am privileged somewhat to get a lot of the information from secret service which are our best sources of information. Not only the KGB people but the MI6 people, the CIA because most of the people who work for the secret service as you probably know are patriots and they love their country and they’re doing it for the good of the nation and they’re the first ones absolutely terrified of the plans of the Bilderbergers".

Estulin wrote The True Story of the Bilderberg Club (original title: La Verdadera Historia Del Club Bilderberg), a report on the nature and meetings of the world’s most powerful people. According to Estulin's book, the ultra-secretive Bilderbergers have been making major important political, economical and social decisions since their first gathering in 1954.

His book was named Non-fiction Book of the Year in Canada by the The Kingston Eye Opener.

Even though the press has never been allowed to attend meetings of the Bilderberg Group, Estulin managed to learn enough information to publish a second book, Los secretos del club Bilderberg (ISBN 8484531686), released in September 2006. The English version, The Secrets of the Bilderberg Club, was released in the US on September 22, 2007.

(Excerpt from Jerusalem Post article dated 6/12/09.)

Netanyahu also met the European Union's foreign policy chief Javier Solana, a day after Solana met with opposition leader Tzipi Livni, with Defense Minister Ehud Barak and with President Shimon Peres.

Solana told Netanyahu there was "no better plan" than the two-state solution for peace between Israel and the Palestinians, and also added that he was making efforts to renew Syrian-Israeli negotiations through Turkish mediation.

On Thursday, Peres made his opinion clear when he put his weight behind the creation of a Palestinian state with provisional borders. "The road map outlines a clear path and [the sides] should implement the second stage of the road map - declaring a Palestinian state with temporary borders," Peres said Thursday in a meeting with Solana.

"And I gave the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah the son of Maaseiah in the presence of Hanamel my uncle and in the presence of the witnesses who signed the deed of purchase, in the presence of all the Jews (ha'yehudim) who sat in the prison yard. (Jer 32:12)

So here we see a prophet using the term you scorn in a narration about about a king. That is two of ther three on your list right there.

The same word is used in Jer 38:19:

"And King Zedekiah said to Jeremiah, 'I fear the Jews who have defected to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hands and mock me.'"

The words appear many times in the Book of Esther. The Book of Daniel (a prophet to Christians) also uses the word as do the Books of Ezra and Nehemiah.

The words "Jew" or "Jews" appear in the Tanakh 77 times.

Will you stop bothering all the good folks here with your incessant nonsense now?

There are two sets of meaningss to the word and you omitted one of them. The other has the following meanings for the root:

Again you are preaching from ignorance. Would you go to a doctor who graduated from medical school with textbook knowledge but never read medical jopurnals and had no clinical experience? Would you hire a lawyer right out of law school who had only textbook knowledge but never read law journals or case studies, and had never had a client?

When a lawyer tries a case doess he refer only to the constitution or does he also cite case law and prior court decisions?

Are you aware that the Torah authorizes future leaders to decide cases? Here it is:

Deut 17:8 If a matter eludes you in judgment, concerning homicide, civil law, ssault, words of dispute in your cities, then you shall rise and go up to the place the Lord, your God, chooses. 9 And priests or to the judge at the time, and you shall inquire, and they will tell you the words of judgment. 10 And you shall do according to the word they tell you, from the place the Lord will choose, and you shall observe to do according to all they instruct you. 11 According to the law they instruct you and according to the judgment they say to you, you shall do; you shall not divert from the word they tell you, either right or left. 12 And the man who acts intentionally, not obeying the priest who stands there to serve the Lord your God, or to the judge, that man shall die, and you shall abolish evil from Israel. 13 And all the people shall listen and fear, and they shall no longer act wantonly.

The sanhedrins who made the judgments you disparage, the judgments narrated in the Talmud and codified in other works, were fulfilling the Torah perfectly. Hyperbolically speaking, "right or left" means that, even if they tell you right is left ad left is right, you must obey them under penalty of death (in a thocratic state).

    Len,
I didn't criticize Jews for giving meaning to Torah.

Yeshua, the Living Torah, gave accurate meaning. If you have taken time to read some of what He said, you will notice besides being deity, besides being the ultimate high priest, besides being King of King, the Word became flesh, Emmanual, the Good Shepherd, He was also the greatest rabbi that ever lived.

If you read me carefully, I said you can learn certain things from read texts from Judaism, but none of it can compare with knowing Yeshua.

Paul knew this. He was a Pharisee of Pharisees, trained under Gamiliel and yet he said he considered that all dung, with the surpassing greatness of knowing Yeshua..

How did Paul follow the commandments? With all of his heart and mind, I suspect. As a follower of Yeshua, he wouldn't contradict what Yeshua said.

The biggest problem of interpreting Paul's letters is they are taken out of context. We must know the who, what, why, where of what Paul is addressing.
His writings were letters geared to address a problem in a particular assembly. Christianity has taken these letters as meaning to "cancel the Law" which is clearly not the intention of Paul, or he himself would not have fulfilled the rights of purification, proving that he was not teaching people to annul Torah.

In the light of Second Temple Judaism and various sects of gnostics, mystics, ascetics, etc that had sprung up during this era, we must ask the who, what, where, why questions when reading his letters and not ignore verses that contradict an anti-Torah bias. There are many of them, including verses where Paul is celebrating Shabbat or going to Jerusalem for the Feasts.

I think it's very important that Judaism has preserved Torah, even though there are things in Judaism I don't agree with, I think the world is indebted to Judaism for the preservation of the Torah.

In the same way, I think the world is indebted to Christianity for the message of Yeshua.

I will repeat, we need both of these things Torah and Yeshua.

One day, it will not be a question of one or the other. The nations will acknowledge Yeshua and His Torah, and then we will have true shalom. The two sticks/two branches Judah and Ephraim will be one, and no longer will they walk in disobedience.
Torah will be written on our minds and we won't have to have these discussions.

    Shalom,
    Joyce

    Len,

As for the definition of Torah being based on the root yarah, there are a number of Hebrew lexicons that agree with this:

    8451. תּוֹרׇה torah [435d]; from 3384; direction, instruction, law:—custom(1), instruction(10), instructions(1), law(188), Law(1), laws(10), ruling(1), teaching(7), teachings(1).
    Here's the link to 3384:
    3384. יׇרׇה yarah or
    יׇרׇא yara [434d]; a prim. root; to throw, shoot:—archers*(2), archers(3), cast(3), cast down(1), directed(1), instruct(4), instructed(1), instruction(1), instructs(1), laid(1), point(m)(1), points(m)(1), rain(m)(1), set(1), shoot(10), shot(4), shot through(1), showed(1), taught(3), teach(27), teacher(2), teaches(2), teaching(1), throws(1), watering(1).

As for the Sanhedrin of Yeshua's day which who brought Him to trial...what can I say.. It was a corrupt bunch of people who "sat in the seat of Moses" but didn't do the right thing..

Mark 10:33 saying, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and athe Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and will hand Him over to the Gentiles.

Somehow, I don't think this group are spiritual descendants of the 70 elders chosen by Moses:

Matt. 23:27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.

I don't think God expected Israel to follow a bunch of "whitewashed tombs" ... If anyone wants to see whitewashed tomb you can them at the Mt of Olives right in front of the steps of the Temple where Yeshua taught as He pointed over to the tombs...

It's a bit of a stretch to make a direct connection between the 70 elders of Moses day who were godly men. Here's a description of the 70 elders Moses was to select.. You can compare them to the whitewashed tombs..

Ex. 18:21 “Furthermore, you shall select out of all the people aable men who fear God, men of truth, those who hate dishonest gain; and you shall place these over them as leaders of thousands, 2of hundreds, of fifties and of tens.
Ex. 18:22 “Let them judge the people at all times; and let it be that every major dispute they will bring to you, but every minor 1dispute they themselves will judge. So it will be easier for you, and they will bear the burden with you.
Ex. 18:23 “If you do this thing and God so commands you, then you will be able to endure, and all these people also will go to 3their place in peace.”

The Sanhedrin of Yeshua's day, condemned the King of Glory to death.. He went willingly and rose on the third day, but 40 years later the Temple was destroyed and never rebuilt.. This was the plan of God, but I don't think anything that Sanhedrin decided was an accurate interpretation of Torah because they wouldn't have condemned the Living Torah.

...and one more time our people, the house of Judah were exiled from their Land. You should know what exile means Len.. It's judgement from God..Why would God have judged the Jews in 70 a.d. if they were listening to His voice?

Today, my people are still waiting for the Temple to be rebuilt the Messiah to come. He will, but this will be the second time when He comes as Messiah ben David in all of His glory!!!

I don't "dislike" him but neither do I respect him or his knowledge of the Torah he incorrectly quoted and did not understand. He, not Jesus, was the founder of Christianity even though he never actually met Jesus.

True; he was a missionary to gentiles. But he also preached conversion of the Jews.(Rom 11:12)

Paul held that the Torah was to teach us proper behavior but, since no one coulld observe it perfectly, everyone was under a curse that could be removed only by faith in Jesus.

It is as if he never heard of repentance and atonement. (Ezek. Ch 18)

Some charitably think his mission to the gentiles was merely to teach them the Noahite laws but that his speeches were corrupted before they were enshrined in the New Testament.

  75. I was personally acquainted with State Representative (now Congressman) Dale Kildee and his wife, Gale Kildee, when I worked for the Michigan legislature in the late 1960s, early 1970s. I was assigned to work with him on the Probate Judges package. I still probably could get in the door to talk with him now, if I needed to. I guess it's a small world

    Dear Joyce,

My difficulty in dialoguing with you is that, each time I correct your errors, you respond with long tracts that contain many additional errors. It is a never-ending task but I hope it is not fruitless.

You wrote: “As for the Sanhedrin of Yeshua's day which who brought Him to trial...” And then: “The Sanhedrin of Yeshua's day, condemned the King of Glory to death..”

The New Testament does claim this but the story is so absurd and contrary to Sanhedrin procedure that the story is impossible to believe. The Sanhedrin had strict rules of when it met and didn’t meet, of witness eligibility, of (conflicting) evidence, of testimony, of conviction, appeal and execution. All of these are violated by the New Testament account. In addition, the Synoptic Gospels do not even agree in their accounts.

Without going into extensive detail, sufficient to say that Sanhedrins never met at night or on holy days but this one is said to have convicted Jesus on Passover eve; the very night he was brought to trial.

Witnesses had to have warned the defendant in advance of the clearly stated crime but there is no evidence that this was done.

When witnesses contradicted each other the defendant was a aquitted but here Mark 14:55 says the priests could not find any evidence at all.

Capital case decisions can be reversed only in favor of acquittal; never in favor of conviction. Yet here, the initial conclusion of no evidence is reversed when others bring false, conflicting evidence. (Mark 14:56-59)

If a Sanhedrin voted unanimously to convict a defendant he went free on the basis that the trial was prima facie unfair. If he was properly convicted he was executed by one of four methods, in descending order of severity: stoning, burning, beheading or strangulation. The witnesses would perform the execution. The defendant would not be handed over to another entity for a different method of execution (crucifixion).

Many, if not most, scholars believe that the New Testament was written to hold the Jews culpable in order to curry favor with the stated execution jurisdiction; Rome. This strategy led to success when Constantine converted.

For someone so skeptical of Jewish Tanakh intepretations you are strangely aquiescent of far-out New Testament accounts.

    Peace and blessing,

    Mariel,
If you want to know what Len thinks, go back to the previous post. He thinks the gospel accounts of Yeshua's conviction by the Sanhedrin are bogus. Now I'm sure you don't think that.

I just want to correct Len's errors. The accounts of the corrupt Sanhedrin of Yeshua's day are not false and have not been invented to "persecute Jews". I am a Jew and am very grateful that Yeshua died for me. It would not be the first time in the history of Judah, or Israel where my people were "stiff-necked" and didn't hear the voice of God, so why is it so astonishing that a bunch of corrupt religious leaders sinned against the King of Glory.

Look at the book of Kings.. How many of the Kings were corrupt and evil. They were not all Josiahs or Davids. Having said this, it's not a reason to persecute Jews for "killing Yeshua" because they didn't kill Him. He willing went to His death for the sin of ALL MANKIND.

By the way, in that time many Jews followed Yeshua, so we are talking about a small corrupt leadership.. it's too bad that Len feels the need to defend that corrupt leadership. I prefer to point to the ones who did follow Yeshua besides all of the disciples.

Acts 21:20 And when they heard it they began glorifying God; and they said to him, “You see, brother, how many thousands there are among the Jews of those who have believed, and they are all zealous for the Law; ( this verse is connected to Paul doing the rights of purification and is in NO way negative about Torah).

Second Temple Judaism was messy. It seems that some of their "oral interpretations" were getting in the way of Torah. Yeshua corrected these constantly and I suspect this corrupt leadership were jealous of his popularity among the common people who saw His power, His wisdom and His miracles.

Nonetheless, the Son of Man came to die, so no one took His life, He laid it down willingly. Even evil men cannot thwart God's plans.

In Acts 2, when Peter confronts them with the reality of what happened, many repented and turned to Yeshua.

As for all of our Torah violations, Len can rationalize them, but the penalty of sin is death. Yeshua paid for our violations of Torah and for this reason we are not "under the law" ... In plain English, He paid for our death penalty and therefore in Him, we are no longer subject to death.

We were born dead in our sins and trespasses, but in Yeshua, we are "born again" thus our spirit lives, and will never die. That new birth takes place at the moment we receive His atoning work for our sins. Without that we will be judged according to what Torah outlines. All have fallen short of the glory of God, and the wages of sin is death, but thanks to Yeshua the Messiah, we have life.

Now that He paid for our sins, should we go out an violate Torah? Heavens no!!! The Noachide laws are another rabbinic invention. That is nonexistent in the Bible. It is another way in which some Jews try to keep a wall of separation between the nations and Jews. The wall of separation was based on rabbinic rulings of Second Temple Judaism, not TORAH.

When most people read the Gospels and Epistles, they do not understand this historical background. I hope by reading Len's writing about "oral law" which he considers as important as written Torah ( the first 5 books of the Bible) that you will understand now some of the confusion that Yeshua was addressing in the Gospels.

Torah, the Word of God written by His finger at Mt Sinai, was not cancelled. On the contrary, it's written on our minds/hearts in the Newer Covenant, by the Spirit of God.

    contd

    contd

That's why in Zech 8:23 it says in the last days 10 men from the nations will take hold of a tzizit of a Jew, because the tzizit represents keeping the commands of God:

Num. 15:38-39 “Speak to the sons of Israel, and tell them that they shall make for themselves atassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and that they shall put on the tassel of each corner a cord of blue. “It shall be a tassel for you 1to look at and aremember all the commandments of the LORD, so as to do them and not follow after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you played the harlot,

It doesn't say in the last days they are going to keep all the commands except Shabbat. Shabbat is the 4th commandment and it points us to the rest we have in Yeshua.

Zech. 8:23 “Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘In those days ten men from all the nations will 2agrasp the 3garment of a Jew, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.”’”

The hebrew word for "garment" is known to represent the corners, which is where the tzizit was attached:

3671. כׇ‭;‬נׇף kanaph, kaw-nawf´; from 3670; an edge or extremity; specifically (of a bird or army) a wing, (of a garment or bed-clothing) a flap, (of the earth) a quarter, (of a building) a pinnacle:—+ bird, border, corner, end, feather(-ed), x flying, + (one an-)other, overspreading, x quarters, skirt, x sort, uttermost part, wing((-ed)).

In the story of the woman of the condition of the blood in the Gospels, she took hold of Yeshua's tzizit.

    Matt. 9:20 And a woman who had been suffering from a hemorrhage for twelve years, came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His cloak;

This fringe was the tzizits of Yeshua.

Now I'm sure Len will try to correct me again, but the problem is without the revelation of Yeshua, his corrections will be faulty because he will always have to explain away all the clear connections to Messiah.

Jews have preserved Torah, but they have added to it with Mishna, Talmud, which are all the rabbinic discussions about interpretation.

By the way, many of these discussions are inconclusive, they go like this Rabbi so and so say... and Rabbi so and so said...

You know the old saying 2 rabbis, 5 opinions.

By the way, Orthodox Jews believe the Oral Torah was given at Sinai, which begs the question, why did it take so long to write down. It was written down well after the death of Yeshua, even though there were oral traditions that existed prior.

Still that's an awfully long time to wait to write what God said down. Don't you think? Ever played a game of telephone.. Extrapolate out 1700 years and imagine how these traditions through exile and everything else might have gotten a little skewed.

Also keep in mind that Jews, when talking about the "sages" are sometimes talking about rabbis who lived in Medieval times like Rambam and Rashi.

When reading the Gospels and Epistles also bear in mind there is only one Greek word for "law". It can mean civil law, law of sin and death etc. It is the same word used to define Torah. Torah does not exclusively mean "law" as I pointed out earlier, although there are legal aspects of Torah, they account for a smaller percentage that what comprises "teachings and instructions".

Understanding Judaism will definitely aid in your understanding of the context in which the Gospels and Epistles are written. It's something that is sadly neglected or distorted in much (not all) Church teaching.

Joyce said, the oral Torah was written down well after the death of Yeshua. This does not seem correct. What of the Septaguint? A translation into Greek done centuries before Yeshua. Something wrong here.
I am not as heavy-duty a scholar as any of you, but I can see something wrong in this statement. Didn't Daniel have a written-down Torah? One program I saw said that a lot of "scribing" was done where Daniel lived, writing down the Torah.

    Dear Marial,

This is probably more than you want to know but ---

The Oral law is still being created. Every time a sagacious rabbi responds to a query never having been previously considered it is written down and added to the volumous record of oral judgments that form Halakha (Jewish law). Most people, however, consider the
Oral Law to be the Talmud.

The Talmud was written down after 70 CE. (Jews refer to BCE, before the Common Era, and CE, to avoid reference to Jesus). However, the writing, or redacting, was merely the final step of a process that lasted hundreds of years. The following should make everything clearer.

Although the Jewish Bible, commonly referred to as the Written Law, is the foundation of Judaism its laws and commandments are not always easy to understand. The Talmud contains discussions and resolutions of these ambiguities and indicates how to fulfill the biblical commandments. In the most general sense, "Torah" (meaning teaching in the sense of a binding teaching, or law) refers to the Bible and Talmud together
In a more restrictive sense Torah refers to the three principal parts of the Bible; the Five Books of Moses, the Prophets and the Writings. In the most restrictive sense the Torah is the scroll that contains the Five Books of Moses, and from which portions are regularly chanted in the synagogue.

The term, "Talmud" (also meaning “teaching” or “learning” in the sense of an explanation) also has general and specific meanings. In the general sense the Talmud consists of two parts, the Mishna (meaning repetition or study) and the Gemara (Gemara is the Aramaic word for Talmud). The Mishna is the first written summary of the Oral Law and the Gemara is an explanation of, and commentary on, the Mishna.

According to the great Israeli talmudist, Adin Steinsaltz, the Mishnaic period was from C. 30 BCE to 200 CE. But the oral tradition that culminated in the written Mishna began much earlier (no one can say exactly when since it was oral and, while the teachings were passed down, the dates were not). The period of the Gemara spanned C. 200 CE to 500 CE. The Gemara is traditionally called the Talmud in the more restricted sense of the term. This may be because each section of the Gemara begins with the section of the Mishna being discussed.

    continued

  83. Oral Law, continued:

Dating of all the events is controversial. Depending on the source, the first Temple was destroyed in either 586 BCE or 422 BCE. Apparently scholars prefer 586 while the Talmud itself says 422. Dates, themselves, were not based on the common era, but on the Hebrew calendar. To get the Hebrew year from the common year add approximately 3760. We’re in 5769 right now, with the Jewish new year beginning around September or October, near the end of the common year. So 422 BCE
    (-422) corresponded to 3338.

During the years of the Talmud's formation its students committed it to memory, though its 63 tractates encompass thousands of pages. Because it was passed orally from generation to generation the Talmud became known as the Oral Law. According to the Rabbi Steinsaltz, The Talmud was redacted between the Fourth and Sixth Centuries CE. It was published reluctantly, following the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 CE, the subsequent exile, dispersion, and decline in Torah study, because of a conviction that the Oral Law would otherwise be forgotten.

According to Rabbi Steinsaltz, Torah is far more then merely a guide to fulfilling the commandments of the Bible. It is, rather, "the expression of Judaism's conception of everything in the world. Every subject lies within the compass of Torah and Torah tells us how every subject is to be understood, how we should relate to it and act toward it. Hence whether the subject is concrete and practical or abstract and spiritual, whether it expresses an immediate need or is entirely theoretical and without practical application, since it is related to Judaism’s worldview it is related to Torah, and Torah does indeed deals with it. --- Halakhic rulings and the practical application of Torah laws are subordinate to the quest for the underlying truth of things. Torah seeks the essence of all things, in every area of life. It embraces the entire world and what lies beyond it."

For these reasons Steinsaltz says, "Just as the Bible is the foundation of Judaism, the Talmud is the central pillar supporting the entire spiritual and intellectual edifice of Jewish life."

However the Talmud by itself is not Jewish Law (or Halakha). As the record of oral discussions, it contains many, often conflicting points of view. There was a “pecking order” of sages, of blessed memory, the law being generally according to the opinions of those sages higher in the pecking order. But even minority opinions were recorded so that, if anyone in the future came up with a different interpretation, he would see that his interpretation had already been considered, and his reasoning did not prevail.

The Jerusalem Talmud actually predated the Babylonian Talmud (Fourth vs. Fifth Century, C.E.). However, the Babylonian Talmud is more voluminous, and authoritative. They were created independently as there was no e-mail in those days. While they are both still extant, and studied, the Babylonian one is the one on which Halakha is based.

    Dear Mariel,

The Septuagint (commonly abbreviated LXX) is a Greek translation of the Bible. That would make it the written law, not the Oral Law.

The LXX is not used by Jews because it has been corrupted and their are many versions.

Daniel followed the Oral Law as it existed at that time but it was not yet written down then. He prayed three times a day, faced towards Jerusalem during prayer, and would not eat the king's cooked food. None of these rules are in the Bible. They are all part of the Oral Law.

    Peace and blessing,
    Len
