The scariest form of anti-Semitism yet seen

One of my earliest and most disturbing observations about the New Age Movement apart from its obvious prophetic ramifications was its strong resemblance, if not total identity to Nazism.  From Aryanism to "cleansing actions", proclamation of what happened to Jews in World War II was a result of "bad national karma," and discussion of subraces, master races the parallels with Nazism were clear.   It was fortunate for the New Agers that they had the likes of Walter Martin, Douglas Groothuis, Doug Coe, Art Lindsley, Spiritual Counterfeits Project, Mitch Pacwa, et al to tell all to go back to sleep -- that the New Agers were not networked politically and further it was erroneous to equate the New Age Movement with Nazism and even more so with "fulfillment of Biblical prophesy" (Doug Groothuis -- and the correct word should have been prophecy, NOT "prophesy."

Advertising blitzes are now in full swing in the great state of Texas and perhaps elsewhere to raise expectations for an appearance of an alleged "Maitreya the Christ."  I discovered to my dismay that they were offering for free on line several of Benjamin Creme's books which were normally sold for large profits in New Age bookstores.  To fight fire with fire, I made on line editions of my two published books which are in probably greater demand.

I discovered the most horrible form of anti-Semitism yet in Benjamin Creme's books.  It was one closely resembling another New Age change agent who specializes in deceiving conservative Americans:  Eustace Mullins.  On a trip to the Los Angeles Simon Weisenthal Institute in summer of 1986, I was given a copy of Eustace Mullins' THE SECRET HOLOCAUST.  He claimed in that book that the Jews had been the real war criminals in Germany and that when they feared they would be charged with war claims, they simply dressed up bodies of their dead German victims as Jews and falsely claimed they were Jews.  The Jews, claimed Mullins, had escaped to 'rest camps' such as Auschwitz and waited out the war there.

Well, the Eustace Mullins historical revisionism is now repeating itself with Benjamin Creme.  Their new song is this:

1.  The Nazis viciously killed Jews and others during World War II [true enough!]
        2.  The Nazis DIED and were REINCARNATED as Israel Jews.
        3.  Ergo, the Israelis are REINCARNATED NAZIS.

By extension, therefore, anything done to these Israelis is justifiable because they are by this definition, "Nazis" paying the price for what they did in their "previous incarnations" in World War II.

Here are portions from the incredible passages of Creme's book THE WORLD TEACHER FOR ALL HUMANITY:
Q. You said a number of former Nazis have incarnated in
Israel. It seems they are continuing the same pattern from their
previous life — oppression and racially-motivated abuse of
others, taking land for the ‘chosen’ group. How does the Law
of Karma help individual souls learn and evolve in this way?
A. The Law of Karma does not help individual souls to learn
and evolve in that way. Certainly, the Law of Karma is at work
in the displacement of these Nazi military and other leaders,
who are acting in Israel as they would have done in Germany in their previous incarnation.  It is because of their ray make-up and because they find themselves in a similar situation. They see themselves as Israeli.  They would simply read the problems of the time. The problems to them are that Israel is visited every other week by young men and women who blow themselves up when they get on a bus or enter a café, and kill Israelis. The Israelis hate this. They hate the unexpectedness of it; that is one of the terrors of terrorism.  . . .

"Does the Law of Karma help individual souls learn and evolve in this way?” These people incarnated in Israel in re-lation probably to thousands of Jews in Germany that they had murdered, oppressed in every way. They grew to hate Jews for whatever reason. It was Hitler’s aim to get rid of all the Jews in the world if he could do it. He could not do it, but theNazis got rid of about 6 million in Europe. They are responsible, and have now come back as Jews.

"It is not learning to evolve. It is the Law of Cause and Effect, that is, karma. They are living as the very people that they were so hateful to and oppressed in their previous incarnation.  They are also bringing with them the quality of their ray structure, the energies which they use, which gave them power in Germany. These people were not the top people, but the people under them in the SS and army. It is not just the odd individual, there are a lot. Large numbers of Nazis have also reincarnated in Argentina and other places, including the USA

It is getting prophetically easy to see how New Agers can justify a conquest and hoped for destruction of Israel and its capital Jerusalem.  This is not new but the Creme theme is a new twist.  Stay tuned!

    Meanwhile, according to Drudge's headline,

Economic crisis threatens to rip European Union, currency, apart...

EU chiefs attempt to cool bloc's crisis
By STEVEN ERLANGER and STEPHEN CASTLE Published: March 1, 2009

The leaders of the European Union gathered Sunday in Brussels for an emergency summit meeting designed to tamp down the centrifugal forces unleashed by the global economic crisis that threaten to spin the bloc - and its single currency - apart.

In a statement afterward, the leaders tried to reassure their publics, promising to hold to the single market, promote growth and reject protectionism.

etc from the International Herald Tribune

Hmm. Sounds like a crisis brewing again, building to an emergency. With these kind of emergencies happening every other week, sooner of later the emergency powers of Recommendation 666 will have to be invoked.

    Hey Constance,

Friday night I sent Tamar Yonah an email about your findings on Share International and Benjamin Creme. I mentioned pages 99-101 of his book. Now I see you have much more info than when I originally sent the email. She responded back that she would look over the links I provided (which were what you provided).

Please contact her to see if you can be on her show again. Tamar's radio show and John Loeffler's Steel on Steel broadcast is how I found out about you.

    Thanks and God Bless!

    Hi Constance,

Re: Anti-Semitism of the New Age Movement - especially the "right wing" of that movement.

The following article mentions "Alpha Galates" as a "Roman Catholic" group, but if it is Roman Catholic, it is Roman Catholic "in name only."
According to Msgr. Leon Cristiani, so-called "catholic freemasonry" of the type espoused by the "right wing" of the New Age Movement is one of the "modern forms of satanism."

A French Secret Service Report dated 13 February 1945 discloses how Pierre Plantard first tried to form an Anti-Semitic, Anti-Freemasonic group in 1937 ("The French Union") and then again in 1941 ("French National Renewal") – but when permission was not granted on those two occasions he nevertheless formed a group in 1942 called the Alpha Galates – and was subsequently imprisoned for four months in Fresnes Prison for not registering it with the authorities.

The Alpha Galates was a Right Wing, Anti-Semitic, esoteric Roman Catholic Group that was clearly representative of the French Tradition known as the Grand Occident – in contrast to the Grand Orient that was pro-Republican in nature. The Tradition of the Grand Occident developed into various Orders of Right-Wing Knighthoods by the period of the German Occupation of France.

Why did Pierre Plantard first try to form an Anti-Semitic and Anti-Freemasonic group in 1937? The answer is that it was in 1937 that France got its first Socialist Prime Minister in the form of Léon Blum, who was also a Jew, and who was in charge of the Popular Front, a Left-Wing government that was opposed to Right-Wing fascism. Right-Wing fascists of the period concerned were known to use the slogan, "Better Hitler than Blum". Marechal Franchet d'Esperey, representing the main army link with the semi-secret, semi-mythical Cagoule (or CSAR), as led by Deloncle, plotted the overthrow of the French Republic in 1937 (this would explain the Franchet d’Esperey quotation found in the first issue of Vaincre).......

....The 21 January 1943 issue of Vaincre also contained an article by Pierre Plantard entitled Here’s The Truth that was virulently Anti-Semitic and Anti-Freemasonic in nature – accusing the Vichy regime of being in league with French Jews. The article also contained a slightly amended paragraph from Paul Le Cour’s Age of Aquarius which lampooned Freemasonic ritual (Le Cour regarded himself as the inheritor of the Tradition of the Hiéron du Val d’Or and was also staunchly Anti-Semitic and Anti-Freemasonic).

    http://priory-of-sion.com/posd/antisem.html

This is analogous to Robespierre establishing the deistic "Cult of the Supreme Being" to rival the atheistic "Cult of Reason" promoted by the Hebertists after the French Revolution.

The "Age of Aquarius" is believed to have actually originated with Paul Le Cour - although there are those who believed Le Cour relied on the work of others who came before him.

In any case, it is said that one of the reasons why Le Cour's book on the AGE OF AQUARIUS was not translated into English is because he was an antisemite.

PAUL LE COUR AND THE AGE OF AQUARIUS

Paul Le Cour [1871 - 1954 AD] published in 1937 a work entitled Ere du Verseau. Avènement de Ganyméde, which translates as the Age of Aquarius, the Advent of Ganymede.* Le Cour's start date for Age of Aquarius was 2160 AD.

This appears to be the first book ever written concerning the Age of Aquarius. However, Le Cour remains essentially unknown in the English-speaking world. This may be for two reasons. Firstly, the French-language Ere du Verseau. Avènement de Ganyméde seems never to have been translated into English. Secondly, Le Cour was thought by many to be an antisemite. This would not have endeared him to Carl Gustav Jung, the subsequent populariser of the Age of Aquarius, and Jung never refers to Le Cour in his writings. However, Ere du Verseau predates Jung's first recorded mention of the Age of Aquarius by some three years...."

    lecouraquarius.htm

Paul Le Cour represents what I have been describing as the so-called "right wing" of the New age Movement which sought to establish a so-called "Occidental Freemasonry" also known as "Catholic Freemasonry" ( "catholic" here = "universal") and espoused "esoteric Christianity"(gnosticism) as one of the many manifestations of the "sophia perennis." ("perennial philosophy")

    From Infowars (March 2, 2009

Citing none other than Pericles and John F. Kennedy, CFR member and New World Order minion Gary Hart declares on the liberal [1] Huffington Post website that “the notion of dedication, participation, and service is as old as the Republic itself.” Hart says the globalist front man Barack Obama has awakened “a renewed spirit of national service” and the “American Republic must now respond.” For Hart and the Greek elitist Pericles, those who do not respond are “useless” and devoid of “civic virtue.”

For Hart and the banker front man Obama, it is time for the plebs to give “something back” to the republic. Unfortunately, the United States is no longer a republic. It is a bankster dominated plutocracy.

For Obama, Gary Hart, and the global elite, it is not enough that many Americans volunteer to help those in need within their local communities — the “renewed spirit of national service” must be mandated by law. Last September, Congress passed the Serve America Act, legislation creating the Education Corps, the Healthy Futures Corps, the Clean Energy Service Corps, the Opportunity Corps, and the Reserve Corps, among other “initiatives.” During his Inaugural Address, Obama declared this expensive and burdensome expansion of government represents “a new era of responsibility.”

For Obama and the Democrats, however, national service transcends volunteerism. In a speech on national service at the University of Colorado last year, Obama promised that as president he would “set a goal for all American middle and high school students to perform 50 hours of service a year, and for all college students to perform 100 hours of service a year.”

Note that Obama did not say those who volunteered. He said the government will demand all students serve. Once upon a time this was called indentured servitude or slavery. Now it is called “a renewed spirit of national service.”

    From George Washington’s Blog (March 1, 2009)

Given that the Roaring Twenties were a time of speculation and excess, I wondered how personal savings rates compared with today.

The personal savings rate (”national income and product accounts of the United States”, or “NIPA”) was 4.5% in 1929.

It rose as high as 26.1% in 1944.

Now let’s fast forward to right before the current crash . . .

NIPA was below 1% for most of 2007.

In other words, not only may this crisis be more severe than the Great Depression, but Americans are less prepared for it, because they’ve squirreled away less savings.

Indeed, a new report shows that most baby boomers have accumulated little to no wealth.

Our savings is also dramatically lower than Japan’s when that country entered into its Lost Decade. So the Japanese were much better prepared than we are.

Of course, the American economy as a whole was also a lot stronger in 1929 than before the current crash.

Here is a very interesting video that shows Satan’s plan of the ages.
    http://www.keyofsolomon.net/
All of the past civilizations have been planting the seeds of Satan’s lies to prove that he exists as the creator. When the Beast kingdom comes, all will be explained. How the pyramids were made and reveal all kinds of secrets that will convince the world that he is God.
I believe that the mark of the beast will be some sort of six-pointed star, this is the seal of Solomon and is not a biblical symbol. It is said to have come down from heaven to Solomon and represents the name of God. God says we are not to make any image to represent him. The star of David, the cross, or any symbol should not be used to represent God, His name, His people or His truth. And the Word was God!

The pagan trail in Catholicism will convince those who are Christian in name only that the Church has been hiding the truth from them all this time. All of the other religions contain peices of the puzzle inspired by Satan so that when he comes, he can show us the big picture, how it all fits together. The evidence will be quite convincing unless you are walking by Faith and have hidden God’s word in your heart.
I believe that the God of the Bible created the heavens and the Earth by faith, not by science. Science is the tool that Satan will use to prove his existence, not the biblical God. The intelligent design proponents are not proving that the God of the Bible exist, they are providing proof that Satan will use to show that he is the god of this world. And he is the god of this world system, but he will be crushed in the end and go into destruction.
Connect the pagan dots that have been planted throughout history and the final picture is that of the Anti-Christ.
I had an interesting thought today. Just because the Church age ends after the rapture, does it necessarily mean that there are only seven more years left after that event.? When Christ came the first time, true believers thought the kingdom was going to appear, but it has been over 2000 years. Could life go on for many more years before the tribulation starts?
Just a thought. Does anyone else have any thoughts on this?

    Dear Constance,

You are most welcome for the leads.

People are often fooled into thinking that just because propaganda is larded with the word "traditional" it is not New Age propaganda.

The person who dubbed so-called "traditional" "esoteric Christianity" as "dungeons and dragons Christianity" was spot on -especially in view of phenomena such as HOLY BLOOD HOLY GRAIL and THE DA VINCI CODE.

I cite as a more specific example the so-called "traditionalist catholicism" of the Hieron du Val d'Or.

Paul Le Cour and his organization ATLANTIS was said to be the successor of the Baron Alexis de Sarachaga, who, along with a Jesuit priest Father Victor Drevon, founded the organization that came to be known as the Hieron du Val d'Or.

Like the founders of the Hieron, Le Cour believed Christianity had its origins in Atlantis. If this doesn't indicate a "severing of Christ" which is one of the signs of an "antichrist," I don't know what is.

Of course, Atlantis, according to certain occultists including H.P. Blavatsky, is also the origin of the ARYAN RACE.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aryan_race

Regnabit was an organ of the Hieron and it included Rene Guenon who, along with Papus also functioned as a "bishop" in the gnostic "church" founded by Jules Doinel. Guenon was consecrated in 1909 by Fabre Des Essarts.

Also associated with Regnabit were Ananda Coomaraswamy (recall the Aliester Crowley connection)and
    Frithjof Schuon.

The "Sacred Heart Movement" was a code word for the Hieron du Val d'Or. The Hieron tried to hijack the Church-approved Sacred Heart devotions and put an esoteric spin on it such as the Martinist "heart doctrine."

Martinism, by the way, is a form of "esoteric christianity."

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martinism

Since Le Cour was also said to be a Martinist, it is likely that his organization, like the Hieron, is also "synarchist" which means that it is sympathetic to totalitarian/authoritarian regimes and is, for the most part, anti-democratic.

If I think it is a mistake to focus on either the "left wing" or the "right wing" of the NAM at the expense of the other, it is because it is becoming clearer to me that both "wings" have a common gnostic "ancestor."

In modern times, this common gnostic ancestor appears to date back to the revival of the so-called gnostic "Johannites" vis a vis a cult centered around the "revelations" of a "visionary" named Loiseaut - whose "spiritual director" was an apostate Roman Catholic Carthusian monk named Dom Christophe-Antoine Gerle.

This Loiseautian "Johannite" revival began just prior to the French Revolution and it appears to have had ties to the Jansenist heresy.

Loiseaut is also mentioned by Eliphas Levi in his HISTORY OF MAGIC. Loiseaut's "successors" were Martin of Gallardon and the infamous Eugene Vintras.
    _______________________

NOTE: IN THE FOLLOWING, CUPBEARERS (GANYMEDE/AQUARIUS???)ARE THE GNOSTIC GUARDIANS OF THE HOLY GRAIL (THE CUP???)

...The theology and curriculum in Doinel's church were based upon the mandates dictated to him by the 40 (dead) Cathar Bishops. He was told (in a seance) his church was to include the ancient Gnostic wisdom of Simon Magus, as well as the workd of the Gnostic scholar
Valentinus of Alexandria. The (dead) Cathar Bishops also mandated that the church was to have equal consecration of both men and women, who were to be the church's bishops and "Sophias." From among these priests and priestesses eight were to be chosen high bishops known as Tau ( a name for the Egyptian Ank), thus designating them CUPBEARERS in the Gnostic line of Valentinus that had previously flourished in ancient Egypt.
When Doinel eventually etired from L'Eglise Gnostigue, one of his students, Jean Bricaud, set out to complete the mission of his teacher by uniting all the assorted Gnostic sects in Frnace into the Catholic or Universal Gnostic Church. Some of the sects that Bricaud suddeeded in amalgamating into his worldwide church included L'Eglise Gnostique, Vintras' Church of Carmel, and the Eglise Johannites des Chretiens Primitif, which was the Gnostic Church of Johannites founded by Bernard-Raymond Fabre-Palaprat, a French doctor who had revived the tradition of the ancient Knights Templar. Thus, with Bricaud the many divergent branches of Gnostic Cupbearers that had anciently flowed FROM JOHN THE BAPTIST were reunited into the Universal Gnostic Church. In order to give himself authority to govern this panoply of Gnostic sects, Bricaud, whose titular name of Tau Johannes denoted him the dynastic "John," procured initiation into each of them. His last and most important induction, was administered by Bishop Louis-Marie-Francois Giraud, an ex Trappist monk, who initiated Bricaud into the Gnostic lineage of Joseph Rene Vilatte, the apostolic line that extended back to Antioch and the Sri Lankan residence of Sri Jnana Pandita....

Again, the use of the term "CUPBEARER" here speaks volumes in terms of the possibility of its being a reference to "Age of Aquarius" and Ganymede, Cupbearer to Zeus.

The homosexuality implied by the Ganymede myth is also significant in terms of the "androgynous" and/or non-procreative nature of the gnostic sects. Most of the ancient pagan deities, moreover - especially the so-called "mother goddess" - were "androgynous."

Rene Guenon was among the founders of the "Sophia Perennis" along with Ananda Coomaraswamy and Frithjoff Schuon.

Some info: Doug Coe is in Idaho promoting his prayer breakfast and we have Creme's Maitreya commercials on the radio in Washington State. I could not believe it when it came on. I was shocked. Also, please take it easy on Walter Martin. His ministry led many many people out of the Mormon church and to the Lord. I realize he made several serious theological mistakes but he was only a man.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I wish I could take it easier on
Walter Martin, but he led many people into confusion as well -- he was the biggest go-back-to-sleep agent there was back in 1983-1987 when I was actively warning against the New Age Movement. He fought me viciously and actively. He actively lied on the radio -- he would, along with Gretchen Passantino, attack me on the radio, then saying he was sending copies of the tapes to Constance Cumbey and would have her on in two weeks to respond. He sent me no tapes at all (Johanna Michaelsen finally thought I should know what was going on and sent me tapes) -- then he went on the air and said, "well, folks, Constance Cumbey refused to come on!" He had never asked me!!!

Bob Larson pulled the same trick.

    Walter Martin:

    1. Proclaimed his belief in "Christian hypnosis" (something like 'Christian cocaine?);
    2. Proclaimed his belief in Christian accupuncture.
    3. Denied the existence of the New Age Movement
    4. Then at their Denver Disinformation Conference (They called it the 1st Evangelical Conference on the New Age Movement) in March 1985 AND CONTRARY TO GRETCHEN PASSENTINO'S ACTIVE LIES, THEY DID HIRE SECURITY GUARDS AND GAVE INSTRUCTIONS THAT IF I WERE TO SHOW I WAS TO BE EJECTED FROM THE PREMISES). They presented a New Ager, J. Gordon Melton to present a paper, A CHRISTIAN RESPONSE TO THE HIDDEN DANGERS OF THE RAINBOW.

You have no idea how much or how vicious the unrepented persecution I took at Walter Martin and company's hands -- no doubt no small part inspired by Paul Temple I have come to believe.

It is now a real bitter pill for me to see a book under his name (maybe written by his daughter_ called THE KINGDOM OF THE OCCULT with huge recognizable portions of my book and charging fancy money for it too.

I am very much looking forward to the blessed day the Prophet Isaiah spoke of when

ONE WILL NOT PLANT AND ANOTHER EAT.

Sorry, but as Paul Harvey would have put it, THAT'S' THE REST OF THE STORY.

When I was led by Brian and Patricia Pickup of Canada to research William Law / Jacob Boehme and the puzzling Dave Hunt and not so puzzling Norman Grubb connections, I discovered several books already existing in my library and others I acquired as part of my research on the Martinist group of which you speak. To my horror, it led to some of the worst of the worst of the occult theories -- "divine pymander" and various forms of hermeticism.

I also recall Dave Hunt defending the Albigensians as "Bible Believing Christians" in a Detroit area debate he had with a Karl Keating. The Albigensians were anything but "Bible Believing Christians!"

    Constance,
you might want to take a look at Johnny's 51 reasons to say No to global Government, which your site links to. If you are concerned about antisemitism you might want to take a stand against his support for Michael Hoffman's revisionist position on the Shoah.

As one who has had family killed, has visited some of the sites where family and others were ruthlessly slaughtered and know quite a few survivors, I am appalled at what he is doing. We are coming up on Purim and not once, not twice but many times in the history of Israel there have been types of antimessiahs who wanted to do away with Israel or more recently the House of Judah ( Jews) like Pharaoh, Haman, Herod, The Inquisition, the Pograms, Hitler, jihadist Islam etc.

The irony of all of this is that Israel is the main player in God's redemption plan for all the nations and over, and over and over again we are told in the Scriptures that God will not forget Israel.

Is it possible that this hatred of Israel, and hatred of the Jews is because Satan hates Gods' redemption plan and doesn't want the world to understand God's gracious election. Look at what He says:

Deut. 7:6-7“For you are aa holy people to the LORD your God; the LORD your God has chosen you to be ba people for His 1own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. “aThe LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any of the peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples,

There is nothing new under the sun. HaSatan has always tried to impede God's plan to bring His salvation to the nations. Here is one of God's many promises to not forget His promises to Israel:

Is. 49:15-23 “Can a woman forget her nursing child
And have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but aI will not forget you. “Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me. “Your builders hurry; Your destroyers and devastators Will depart from you. “Lift up your eyes and look around; All of them gather together, they come to you. As I live,” declares the LORD,
“You will surely put on all of them as 1jewels and bind them on as a bride. “For ayour waste and desolate places and your destroyed land —
Surely now you will be too cramped for the inhabitants, And those who swallowed you will be far away. “The achildren of 1whom you were bereaved will yet say in your ears, ‘The place is too cramped for me; Make room for me that I may live here.’ “Then you will asay in your heart,
‘Who has begotten these for me,
Since I have been bereaved of my children
And am bbarren, an cexile and a wanderer?
    And who has reared these?
    Behold, I was dleft alone;
    1eFrom where did these come?’” Thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I will lift up My hand to the nations And set up My astandard to the peoples;
And they will bring your sons in their bosom,
And your daughters will be carried on their shoulders. “aKings will be your guardians,
    And their princesses your nurses.
    They will bow down to you with their faces to the earth And click the dust of your feet;
    And you will know that I am the LORD;
Those who hopefully wait for Me will not be put to shame.

The Lord is talking to Israel in this passage and there are numerous passages where He promises to restore Israel, where He promises that He will put His Torah on their minds and make them His people and give them a covenant of shalom ( wholeness).

At the same time He promises to punish and destroy their enemies. It is a great mistake to think that the nations that turn against Israel will get away with it, including the US. God will judge them because Israel is His treasured possession and He has punished us for our sins, but the nations who turn against Israel will pay a heavy price, and that goes for individuals too.

The hatred that we call antisemitism is anti Ha Shem, anti God because people and nations that turn against Israel are turning against His election and they will be destroyed in the end. Not my words, but the Words of Scripture:

Zech. 2:8-10 For thus says the LORD of hosts, “After glory He has sent me against the nations which plunder you, for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye. “For behold, I will wave My hand over them so that they will be plunder for their slaves. Then you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent Me. “aSing for joy and be glad, O daughter of Zion; for behold I am coming and I will dwell in your midst,” declares the LORD.

Some think that God has forgotten His promises:

2Pet. 3:8-9 But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and ba thousand years like one day. aThe Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but bis patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

I have written on Johnny's blog warning him that he was making a mistake but he doesn't think there's a problem with Michael Hoffman's antisemitic, revionsionist writings, so I'm bringing this to your attention since you have him as a link on your blog and I don't believe you hold the same ideas as him. The kind of propaganda he is promoting is extremely wrong and dangerous. It's the kind of thinking that fueled the Shoah. . Anyone who examines the propaganda of Nazi Germany will be able to identify this.

Rudi also warned Johnny, but I don't think anyone's warnings sunk in...so now I am mentioning this to you.. I hope you "delink" him from your site because it really sends a bad message and I don't believe it's your intention.

    Constance & all,
I have visited one of the places where Albigensians and other "heretics" according to the Catholic Church were tortured and killed. You cannot imagine the brutality and the evil that was used on these people. This is just a small idea:

    http://tinyurl.com/d2zr33

Here's a good film on the history of Rome's torture:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rx8PdvOELvY

There was the Massacre of St Bartlemy and the Waldeneses or the Vaudois ( the early Italian Calvinists)...the Inquisition where Jews also were torutured.

I would encourage all of you to watch the second film in it's entirety. It was made by a Catholic.

There is nothing of Yeshua to be found in this history, you can be sure of that. One has to ask who the heretics were.

JERUSALEM – Sections of Jerusalem have essentially been forfeited on the ground to the Palestinian Authority, while Jews, including local landowners, are barred from entering parts of Israel's capital, a WND investigation has found.

The probe further determined the U.S. has been aiding the Palestinians in developing infrastructure in Jerusalem.

Also, it has emerged, the Israeli government has failed to stop Arabs from illegally building thousands of housing projects on Jerusalem land purchased and owned by a U.S. Jewish group for the express purpose of Jewish settlement, culminating in an Arab majority in the neighborhoods.

The persecution of the Albigensians was brutal, no doubt. But bible believeing Christians they were not. They had borrowed heavily, inter alia, from the Buddhist cultures. I am interested in YOUR sources of information.

One of the most disturbing Albigensians beliefs was that the biblical Jehovah (God the Father) was evil -- JUST LIKE THE CURRENT NEW AGE BELIEF -- that He was "the evil demiurge."

Salvation by the blood of Christ was denied.

Revenge of the Albigensians/Cathars will be a primary theme of the persecution of Christians to come.

    Playing the game….or being played?

Last night on Jim Cramer’s Mad Money (Mar. 2, 2009 CNBC broadcast), the host called Obama’s agenda, “wealth destruction”, and claimed Obama’s budget could lead to a “total breakdown of civil society”.

Toss in the harsh, but realistic assessment of commentators like Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Bernard Goldberg, and other conservative media talking heads, and no wonder the price of an AR 15 is going through the roof!

From an Earthfirst October 29, 2008 article entitled:

“The Upside to a Total Breakdown in Society, Or Why Utter Chaos Might Not Be So Bad (For the Earth)”

“Barring nuclear war, the biggest beneficiaries of a total breakdown in society would be the earth and all of the non-human creatures that live on it. Like it or not, the major decrease in the human population that would come part and parcel with a total breakdown in society would be the single biggest environmental benefit this world could possibly experience. None of us want to imagine our communities, our families, ourselves dying off in war, hunger, disease and lawlessness – it’s a nightmare. It would be hell on earth, for a while. But the remaining population would pick up the pieces and find a new way, and the earth would be better off for it.”

“Imagine: a dystopian, practically technology-free society where factories no longer pump pollution into the air, cars no longer idle in freeway traffic jams, and people are forced to re-use everything they can. No more endless processions of plastic junk down the assembly line, no more hormone- and antibiotic-packed Frankenmeat being raised in inhumane, environmentally damaging conditions.”

“As life became almost completely local, we’d be forced to take over growing our own food, effectively stopping the environmental damage done by factory farms. Since production would stop on synthetic fertilizer, farmers would go back to using organic solutions instead. That means no more constant streams of poison going from the cornfields of middle America to the Gulf of Mexico via the Mississippi River, expanding the ever-growing dead zone that threatens sea life. We’d no longer be shipping tons of food from one end of the country to another, or importing it from overseas. We’d be eating fresh, healthy, seasonal food and we’d make damn sure not to waste any of it.”

“We’d get incredibly creative with re-using items. People would pore through landfills looking for things once tossed away without a thought, but which would now be seen as still serving a valuable purpose. Since disposable items would be a thing of the past, every item would be used until it literally fell apart. With factory production at a standstill, we’d see a resurgence of nearly-lost arts like hand sewing, blacksmithing, woodworking and food preservation.”

“Walking onto a suburban homestead in this practically post-apocalyptic world, you’d see a strange melange of simple old-fashioned tools, whatever 21st century technology still works and plenty of green tech like improvised wind turbines and greywater systems. It’d be like Mad Max, without all the mullets and pleather.”

    http://earthfirst.com/the-upside-to-a-total-breakdown-in-society-or-why-utter-chaos-might-not-be-so-bad-for-the-earth/

    or

OMOTS’s conclusion: Limbaugh, Cramer, Beck, are providing common sense worldly knowledge. On the one hand the breakdown of society we are witnessing is indeed tragic. But then the other side paints an expectation that this painful “shift” is necessary and will pave the way for a utopia, an idyllic and peaceful world. Echos of nirvana! This New Age paradise is portrayed as a mirror image of what many Christian’s believe the world will be like under the rule of Christ Himself. Throw in Maitreya’s “loving kindness” philosophy and the spiritual component makes the counterfeit look even better. After all, who doesn’t love butterflies, beautiful gardens, the feel of an old fashioned hand tool, renewable energy, clean water, and healthy home grown food?

For those having trouble differentiating between God’s righteous judgment and Satan’s lies, just keep in mind that, according to “The Plan”, the way to get into this green utopia is to reject Jesus Christ and disregard ALL His commandments. The new mantra, “kill your neighbor and save the planet” is the exact opposite of Jesus’ admonition to “take up your cross, and follow me”.

Grace is found in none other than Jesus Christ. His Kingdom will come. So perhaps the best thing is to remember that our true home is not of this world, no matter how “green” or how “fair” someone wants to make it. And if we don’t have a stake here on this earth, or a huge stock portfolio to protect, than maybe we don’t really need all those AR 15’s. But then again, as far as worldly investments go, such weapons are expected to outperform gold.

  35. RFID implants:

After reading some of the comments on RFID on the last thread i got to thinking about Revelation 16:2, were it says "a noisome and grievous sore would be upon the men which had the mark of the beast"

I think most of those who take the mark, will have it on the back of their hand, so as to make it easy to run over stationary horizontal scanners.

In moving my hand in a motion required to interface with a horizontal scanner, it seemed to me that the best place to put it, would be toward the ring finger side of the back of the hand.

This would keep it from interacting with the larger carpal bones, and the larger metacarpal bone associated with the middle finger.

They would probably want to place it between the metacarpal bones of the middle finger, and the ring finger, or the ring finger, and the pinky.

Having some knowledge of the endocrine hormone system, i know this would juxtapose the RFID with a nerve associated with the endocrine hormone system.

This would no doubt cause an adverse effect to that intricate, and vital system.

    From: http://www.hormone.org/endocrine_system.cfm

A hormone imbalance (either too much or too little hormone volume) can have a drastic effect on body function. Any environmental endocrine disruptors (EEDs), have been linked to birth defects, immune system disorders, neurological changes, and more.

    Inmmune system disorders!!!!

In animals, RFID chips are usually placed in loose skin around the neck, were the effects to the health of the animal is much less.

Of course this whole thing is of the enemy, and we must be willing to warn all people who will listen.

    1 Timothy 6:3-5

If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness,
he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions, and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain.

    James 4:6-10
But He gives a greater grace Therefore it says, "GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE."

Submit therefore to God Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Be miserable and mourn and weep; let your laughter be turned into mourning and your joy to gloom.

Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.

    1 Peter 3:8-9

    To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit;

not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing.

While we work-- while it is still day.....Rejoice! and find Him glorified in our members while we work.

    Joyce,

Re: I would encourage all of you to watch the second film in it's entirety. It was made by a Catholic.

You have been untruthful to the readers here.

That Youtube video was NOT made by a Catholic.

The Youtube video about the Albigensians was made by an APOSTATE Catholic priest named Richard Bennett who, since he is now married, apparently couldn't keep his vow of celibacy after he FREELY took them.

Bennett has also in the crosshairs of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights.

Catholic apologist Karl Keating has Bennett's number:

WILL THE REAL RICHARD BENNETT PLEASE STAND UP?

In 1963, when he was 25, Richard Bennett, a native of Ireland, was ordained to the Catholic priesthood. In 1985 he abandoned the priesthood and Catholicism. Today he is a Fundamentalist (Reformed Baptist Fellowship of Portland) missionary and decidedly anti-Catholic.

He runs a small ministry known as the Berean Beacon (www.bereanbeacon.org). At his web site he has an archive of articles, one of which is called "The Antichrist Unveiled." The final line in that article says that the testimony of "martyrs and reformers" "was that Papal Rome is the Babylon of prophecy, 'that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth,' and that its head, the Roman pontiff, is the predicted 'Man of Sin,' or Antichrist."

Most Fundamentalists do not go so far as to claim that the pope is the Antichrist. They realize that Scripture refers to the Antichrist as being a particular man, and, if a pope is the Antichrist, which pope would that be? There are so many to choose from! If they say, "the current pope," they look a bit ridiculous, since John Paul II has not performed a single act that is attributed by Scripture to the Antichrist.

Bennett also offers his "Life Testimony" at his site. It reads as many others read: lots of little facts, but big things seem to be missing. The reasons offered for his disillusionment with Catholicism and conversion to Fundamentalism just don't add up. They are too insubstantial.

Do intelligent people really abandon the Catholic Church because they suddenly discover that some Catholics, including some priests and bishops, are venal or ignorant?

I can imagine how a youth who lived under overly protective parents might venture into the world for the first time and be surprised, but how long can that surprise last? Seminary life 40 years ago was more sheltered than it is today, but were the new ordinands of 1963 really so cut off from the world and from an understanding of human nature? I doubt it.

If a man throws up his hands and says, "I can't be a priest any longer; I can't serve with such men any longer," is there anything that necessarily impels him toward Fundamentalism? Wouldn't it make more sense for such a man to set aside religion entirely, at least for a while, as he sorts out his life?

Something in Bennett's story just doesn't add up.

Go to his site and see the other conversion stories he has posted. One is by A.J. Krause. Among other things, Krause discusses the meaning of "rock" in Matthew 16:18. He seems unaware that the argument he proffers has been refuted innumerable times by Catholic apologists.

No, in Matthew 16:18 "rock" does not refer to Jesus or to Peter's profession of faith. The only interpretation that makes sense is that the word refers to Peter himself, as I explained at length in "Catholicism and Fundamentalism" and as many other Catholics have explained in other books. Krause makes no attempt to grapple with the Catholic rebuttal; he does not even seem to be aware that there is one.

The top page of the Berean Beacon web site sports photographs of Richard Bennett and A.J. Krause. They look like regular guys. One could imagine spending a pleasant evening with them, if the topic of discussion were not religion.

Krause I take to be an enthusiastic new convert to Fundamentalism; allowances must be made for him. Bennett is in a different category, since he has every reason to know better. Like some other ex-priests I know, Bennett brings to mind the young fellow who, having jilted his girlfriend, now takes every opportunity to talk her down.

There is something ungentlemanly and unseemly in that.

    Until next time,

    Karl

    To Constance and All

    ALBIGENSIANS

    The Albigensians were neo-Manichaeans.

Manichaeism was a heretical gnostic mixed bag which, in theory, was radically dualistic - meaning that it worshipped two equal but opposite "absolutes." An "evil god" ( of the Old Testament) who created matter - and a "good god" ( the "god" of the New Testament) who created spirit and light and could have nothing to do with matter or anything relating to the material world - including the natural law!!!

Here we can see that "severing of Christ" which is the Biblical test used to discern the Antichrist.

When SATANISTS wax "philosophical," they most often wax Manichaean.

In so far as they were ANARCHISTS and regarded all laws - including the natural law - as the work of the "demiurgos," ("evil god" of the Old Testament) the Albigensians were regarded as a "menace to society" by both the ecclesiastical and secular authorities.

Before the Crusade, it was the Albigensians who were plundering the area of Albi, Toulouse and vicinity!!!

Two years later, the Albigenses held a general council at Toulouse, their chief centre of activity. The Cardinal-Legate Peter made another attempt at peaceful settlement (1178), but he was received with derision. The Third General Council of the Lateran (1179) renewed the previous severe measures and issued a summons to use force against the heretics, who were plundering and devastating Albi, Toulouse, and the vicinity. At the death (1194) of the Catholic Count of Toulouse, Raymond V, his succession fell to Raymond VI (1194-1222) who favoured the heresy.....

    http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/01267e.htm

Oh, and by the way, regarding the infamous phrase "Slay all; God will know his own," there is no substantive historical documentary evidence that those words were ever uttered. This is nothing more than an anti-Catholic calumny.

    ATTITUDE OF THE CHURCH

Properly speaking, Albigensianism was not a Christian heresy but an extra-Christian religion. Ecclesiastical authority, after persuasion had failed, adopted a course of severe repression, which led at times to regrettable excess. Simon of Montfort intended well at first, but later used the pretext of religion to usurp the territory of the Counts of Toulouse. The death penalty was, indeed, inflicted too freely on the Albigenses, but it must be remembered that the penal code of the time was considerably more rigorous than ours, and the excesses were sometimes provoked. Raymond VI and his successor, Raymond VII, were, when in distress, ever ready to promise, but never to earnestly amend. Pope Innocent III was justified in saying that the Albigenses were "worse than the Saracens"; and still he counselled moderation and disapproved of the selfish policy adopted by Simon of Montfort. What the Church combated was principles that led directly not only to the ruin of Christianity, BUT TO THE VERY EXTINCTION OF THE HUMAN RACE. (emphasis mine)

    http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/01267e.htm

As the article indicates, it is a great mistake to judge the standards of the past by today's licentious standards. An even greater one to falsely accuse the Church of atrocities sponsored and perpetrated by secular governments who often ignored pleas for moderation by the Church. The Roman Inquisition which was originally formed to deal with the Albigensian menace did more in the way of SAVING heretics from torture and other atrocities at the hands of the secular powers than they did in the way of actually participating in said atrocities themselves.

But those who haven't adequately and properly done their homework by critically examining ALL the historical records continue to talk about the Albigensians as if they were an "all holy" persecuted" Christian" minority. NOT!!!

But if we are going to compare atrocity statistics here, it is important to point out that the Albigensians were not only the "New Agers" of their day, but in so far as they were also ANARCHISTS and regarded all laws - including the natural law - as the work of the "demiurgos," ( a.k.a. the "bad god" of the Old Testament), the Albigensians were described as a "menace to society" whose "law" was similar if not identical to Alliester Crowley's "Law of Thelema".....DO WHAT THOU WILT SHALL BE THE WHOLE OF THE LAW.

The specific instance of violence that began the actual Crusade was on the part of the Albigensians and was analogous to the Confederates of the American South beginning the Civil War by firing on Fort Sumter - only in this case the Albigensian incident involved murder. Raymond VI, count of Toulouse, took the part of his Albigensian subjects, though not himself belonging to the sect, and for this he was excommunicated in 1207.
After the Albigensians became the FIRST to begin the violence after the diplomacy on the part of the Vatican had failed, the Pope decided that he could NOT in good conscience allow what basically amounted to SATANISM to be imposed on the people of Toulouse or anywhere else in Christendom by indifferent and/or apostate noblemen.

The Albigensian Crusade or Cathar Crusade (1209–1229) was a 20-year military campaign initiated by the Roman Catholic Church to eliminate the Cathar heresy in Languedoc. The Crusade was prosecuted primarily by the French and promptly took on a political flavour, resulting in not only a significant reduction in the number of practicing Cathars but also a realignment of Occitania, bringing it into the sphere of the French crown and diminishing the distinct regional culture and high level of Crown of Aragon influence.

When Innocent III's diplomatic attempts to roll back Catharism[1] met with little success and after the papal legate Pierre de Castelnau was murdered (allegedly by an agent serving the Cathar count of Toulouse), Innocent III declared a crusade against Languedoc, offering the lands of the schismatics to any French nobleman willing to take up arms.....
.....The Albigensian Crusade also had a role in the creation and institutionalization of both the Dominican Order and the Medieval Inquisition......

    http://tinyurl.com/d9eawk

"The dualism of the Albigenses was also the basis of their moral teaching. Man, they taught, is a living contradiction. Hence, the liberation of the soul from its captivity in the body is the true end of our being. To attain this, suicide is commendable; it was customary among them in the form of the endura (starvation).
The extinction of bodily life on the largest scale consistent with human existence is also a perfect aim. As generation propagates the slavery of the soul to the body, perpetual chastity should be practiced. Matrimonial intercourse is unlawful; concubinage, being of a less permanent nature, is preferable to marriage. Abandonment of his wife by the husband, or vice versa, is desirable. Generation was abhorred by the Albigenses even in the animal kingdom. Consequently, abstention from all animal food, except fish, was enjoined. Their belief in metempsychosis, or the transmigration of souls, the result of their logical rejection of purgatory, furnishes another explanation for the same abstinence. To this practice they added long and rigorous fasts. The necessity of absolute fidelity to the sect was strongly inculcated. War and capital punishment were absolutely condemned......"read more........

"The Albigenses followed Manichaean dualism in its attempt to solve the problem of evil. They asserted the co-existence of two ultimate principles, a good deity (the God of the New Testament) who created Spirit and Light, and a bad deity (the God of the Old Testament) who created Matter and Darkness. Accordingly, they condemned marriage and the procreation of children as demoniac. Yet concubinage was tolerated as less permanent than matrimony; and desertion of husband or wife was called praiseworthy.
Although the good deity was said to have created angelic pillaged spirits, when they fell the demon imprisoned them in bodies. Life on earth therefore is a punishment and the only hell that exists. However, the suffering is only temporary because all souls will eventually be saved. Like the Arians, the Albigenses claimed that Christ was merely a created being, who never really took on a human body and never actually died on the cross. In either case He would have come under the control of the evil principle. His redemption gave us only the example of a noble life and a moral lesson of his virtue. It did not achieve an objective remission of sin.

Consistent with their dualism, the Albigenses commended liberation from the body, especially by suicide. Since begetting children meant to imprison their souls in a body, perpetual chastity was strongly encouraged. Believing in metempsychosis, or transmigration of souls, they forbade the use of flesh meat and milk or other animal produce. Rejecting the authority of Church and State, they appealed to the Scriptures, mostly the New Testament because the Old Law was regarded as mainly a demoniac creation. The taking of oaths, war, and capital punishment were forbidden.

The Albigenses distinguished between the "perfect" and mere believers. The former, a small minority, were held to the observances of the ancient Cathari: the consolamentum or spiritual baptism through imposition of hands, which gave the right to preach the new religion, the appareillamentum or public confession of sins, and endura or starvation to death in order to be freed from the flesh. Believers were affiliated to the sect only by the promise to receive the consolamentum before they died. They often deferred this rite until shortly before death to avoid relapsing into sin.

Adherents were organized under a hierarchy of bishops, chosen from the perfect, and deacons, who were only believers. While exact figures are not available, it is certain that more than one thousand cities and towns in France were influenced by Albigensianism at the close of the 12th century.

Extant records of Neo-Manichaean condemnations in France go back to the Council of Orleans in 1022, followed in succession by the Councils of Arras, Charroux, and Reims. Albigensianism as such was first condemned in the Council of Toulouse (1119), then at Reims (1148), Verona (1184), and by the third and fourth general Councils of the Lateran, in 1179 and 1215. ALWAYS THE CATHARI WERE DENOUNCED NOT ONLY FOR DOCTRINAL HERESY BUT AS A MENACETO THE FAMILY STATE, AND HUMAN SOCIETY."

Is it at all possible that the U.S. government has orchestrated this whole economical mess in order to collapse the EU or the value of the Euro in order to emerge as a continued world dominance?

(continued questions) In doing so, they must put Americans through this economical turmoil and thus are worried that there might be a citizen uprising?

So they balance the possible uprising with the collapse of other countries?

If you've read "Confessions of an Economic Hitman", you see where they've collapsed many countries in order to dominate there economies.

    Hi Constance,
I really enjoy this blog however I am so tired of the Catholic defending and bashing. This is not the place for that. Could you please start a thread for that alone if they need to do it? I grew up Catholic and am not now. I have many disagreements with the doctrine but really would like to see this out of the threads about Share international etc... Thanks for all your work.

Yes, I am sick of the Catholic-bashing that goes on a regular basis on this blog. There's enough out there already coming from Protestants and New Agers and their ilk. Joyce and friends can go join a Dan Brown fan club if they want to spread their views.

BTW, his next movie is another piece of garbage about the illuminati and the Catholic Church. I wonder why these New Agers are so hell-bent on demonizing the Catholic Church, really makes one think.

A close pastor friend and I attended a meeting with Benjamin Creme in Tokyo last year, as we wanted to see what shenanigans he was up to.

Other than watching the demon inside of him size up the crowd, it was quite a lame meeting, as he didn't go into details, but he presented the basics tenants of his system (to which I may elaborate):

    - Karma: every person gets what he or she deserves, therefore helping the poor or oppressed is evil, because such aid interferes with their karmic progression.

    - Reincarnation: men are born over and over again in order to work out their karmic progression so that they can become gods. therefore, all horrendous acts of murder and torture become acceptable as long as they justify a man's karmic progression.

    - Free will is the 'door where evil dwells'. The ability for a man to exercise freedom of choice and cling to absolute truth is the root cause of all suffering and violence.

    - Maitreya (i.e. Satan) existed with his cohort of enlightened ones (i.e. fallen angels) above the Gobi Desert. They sought to make all of mankind like themselves, but mankind must rid itself of free will and absolute truth first. Maitreya exists in this world and builds followers to eventually subjugate the world under his control and make himself known so that he can present to all of mankind the option and ability to become gods. Anyone who opposes will be killed so that they can be reborn into a more submissive state that is conducive to karmic progression towards divinity.

Creme is an old guy and will probably be on his way out soon, but his tenants are far reaching. From Shucman's 'A Course in Miracles' to Tolle's 'New Earth' to Chopra's 'Jesus' to Young's 'The Shack' to Foster's 'Celebration of Discipline', the world right now is rapidly transforming into a global Satan-worshiping and self-worshiping society, and the churches are following and dancing from behind. God's people seem to be more happy to reject Jesus than the pagans.

  48. Constance, I bought your book back in the 80's (I'm 55) and thought it was right on. I recently came upon a copy of it at a free book giveaway at a church and grabbed it. I re-read it and think it is STILL right on. It was ahead of its time, actually. Will be reading your site. I mentioned your book to a couple of people I blog with saying how I think it is still right on, and one of them pointed me to your site!!! P.S. My husband is a Pentecostal minister who now pastors a Baptist church! I love studying about the end times: II Peter 3:2,3b "but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. AND EVERY MAN THAT HATH THIS HOPE IN HIM PURIFIETH HIMSELF, EVEN AS HE IS PURE." With the demise of interest in the rapture and second coming, has come a lot of sin in the church. We've quit purifying ourselves, because we have lost the hope of His imminent appearing. God bless you, Constance!!!

  50. The strategy and grand scheme of the New Age Movement was to pit all monotheistic target groups off against each other while simultaneously infiltrating and weakening all from within:

    1. Protestants / William Law - Richard Foster - Institute of Noetic SCiences & Doug Coe/Paul Temple combination

    2. Catholics / Matthew Fox, Thomas Berry, Thomas Keating, various traditionalist movements as outlined ably by Susanna, etc., ad nauseum

    3. Jews / Various forms of mystical Judaism etc.

    4. Moslems / the Sufis.

Then as to the stubborn remaining orthodox, they would be pitted against each other. The New Agers would be the "Phoenix" to arise from our ashes.

Watching these dynamics sometimes even innocently play out on this board is truly fascinating.

Also on the Obama front, I was digging through the trash over at Share Int, and found Creme's latest article. In it he goes through his standard about the coming emergence of the man of sin.
After the article though it goes into a Q&A in which this question id posed.

    Q. A lot of people are saying that the new President Barack Obama, is Maitreya. Some question and answer sessions with Benjamin Creme infer Maitreya and Obama are two different people but that Obama may be especially open to Maitreya's ideals. Yet the most recent press releases advertising the emergence of Maitreya, his public talks about the economy and world ills sure tie in neatly with the emergence of the new President who is also talking about these same things. It is very easy to see why Obama is being seen as Maitreya by some people.

Could you comment please: (1) is Obama actually Maitreya ? Or (2) just inspired by Maitreya ?

    A. (1) No, Mr Obama is absolutely not Maitreya.

    (2) I doubt that Mr Obama has ever heard of Maitreya. He may well be inspired by the ideas which have emanated from Maitreya over the years. These have been articulated by Share International for many years and are now being repeated by more and more people as the economic crash, predicted by Maitreya long ago, becomes a reality. Maitreya has waited until now to come forward openly because only now has the impending crash come to fruition, thus bringing many people – one of them, hopefully, Mr Obama – to see the reality of the need to change direction.

  55. These questions are also asked regarding the star issue.

    Q. The 'star' that can now be seen in several places around Norway, seems to get brighter and brighter all the time. Lately it has also been seen during the daytime. What then is its purpose?

    A. It is a 'sign' to herald the emergence of Maitreya into His public mission.

    Q. (1) Will the star be visible during the day when the sky is overcast? (2) Has anyone seen it during the day? (3) Where in the sky should we look if we are in New Zealand?

    A. (1) It depends on the thickness of the cloud cover. (2) Yes. We have reports from Norway, the USA and South Korea that the star is often visible during the day. I have no doubt this is repeated elsewhere. (3) In the west.

So apparently either somebody is actually seeing this "star" during the day as weall as night or its more of Creme's lies.

"There is the possibility in the next few months of a global New Deal that will involve all the countries of the world in sorting out and cleaning up the banking system," Brown said.

Obama agreed with Brown that more needs to be done to regulate international markets.

"We believe in the free market, we believe in a government that is not overbearing and allows entrepreneurs and businesses to thrive," Obama said. "But we also share a common belief that there have to be sufficient regulatory structures in place so that the market doesn't spin out of control."

It reminds me somewhat of the idea in Jewel of the Nile, in which one of the villians wanted to pose as something more than he was with special effects to convince the folks. I think the wizard also did the same in the Wizard of Oz, perhaps taking a covert stab at Jesus being the real mccoy, and not a fake. (Most of us know Baum was a theosophist.)

    Dear Constance,

I have been reading your book PLANNED DECEPTION and came across the section on the Eranos Lectures in Switzerland and noticed that you mentioned Monte Verita.

I didn't see this mentioned in your book, and I don't know if you were aware of this or not, but among the people who held conferences at Monte Verita was the occultist Theodore Reuss, who was founder of the infamous O.T.O.

I found this especially interesting in light of all the gnostic oriented themes featured in past Eranos conferences.

Moreover, according to Professor Martin Green in his book MOUNTAIN OF TRUTH. THE COUNTERCULTURE BEGINS, Germany's National Socialists were among those who "fed on a living stream of thought that had its source in Ascona."

    MONTE VERITA

....From 1913 to 1918, Rudolf Laban operated a "School for Art" on Monte Verità, and in 1917 Theodor Reuss, Master of the Ordo Templi Orientis organized a conference there covering many themes, including societies without nationalism, women's rights, mystic freemasonry, and dance as art, ritual and religion.[5]..

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monte_Verita

    THEODOR REUSS

....In 1895, he (Reuss) began to discuss the formation of Ordo Templi Orientis with Carl Kellner.

The discussions between Reuss and Kellner did not lead to any positive results at the time, allegedly because Kellner disapproved of Reuss's connections with Engel. According to Reuss, upon his final separation with Engel in June 1902, Kellner contacted him and the two agreed to proceed with the establishment of the Oriental Templar Order by seeking authorizations to work the various rites of high-grade Masonry.

The French occultist and physician Gérard Encausse (perhaps better known by his pen-name Papus) was one such contact. Although not a member of a regular Masonic order, he had founded two occult fraternities: the Martinist group, l'Ordre des Supérieurs Inconnus and the Rosicrucian Kabbalistic Order of the Rose-Croix. In addition, he was a member of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, and a Bishop in a neo-Gnostic church, l'Église Gnostique de France. Encausse provided Reuss with a charter dated June 24, 1901 designating him Special Inspector for the Martinist order in Germany. He also assisted Reuss in the formation of the O.T.O. Gnostic Catholic Church by proclaiming the E.G.C. a "child" of l'Église Gnostique de France, which linked the E.G.C. to French neo-gnosticism.....

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theodor_Reuss

L'Eglise Gnostique de France was the Church founded by Jules Doinel.

Doinel founded his gnostic church after one night in 1888
when Doinel had a vision in which the "Aeon Jesus" appeared. Doinel alleged that he was consecrated that night as a Patriarch by Jesus Christ himself who was assisted by two Bogomil Bishops in this miraculous vision. Doinel also received instructions to establish a new church.

Doinel was spiritually consecrated as "Bishop of Montségur and Primate of the Albigensians"....

..... After this miraculous vision Doinel started his attempts to contact Cathar and Gnostic Spirits in seances which were held in the salon of Lady Marie Caithness and her circle, a circle which would later become known in France as the "Societe Theosophique d'Orient et d'Occident".

The Duchess organized seances in the same oratorie that over the years served as the "Meditational Sanctuary" of the "Societe d'Theosophique de Paris". REUSS AT MONTE VERITA

While living in London, Reuss became acquainted with Aleister Crowley. In 1910, he made Crowley a VII° of O.T.O. (based on Crowley's previously held 33° in the Scottish Rite), and in 1912, he conferred upon him the IX° and appointed him National Grand Master General X° for the O.T.O. in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland by charter dated June 1, 1912. Crowley's appointment included authority over an English language rite of the lower (Masonic) degrees of O.T.O. which was given the name Mysteria Mystica Maxima, or M∴M∴M∴. In 1913, Crowley issued a Constitution for the M∴M∴M∴ and the Manifesto of the M∴M∴M∴, which he subsequently redrafted and issued as Liber LII (52), the Manifesto of the O.T.O. In 1913, Crowley wrote Liber XV, the Gnostic Mass for Reuss's Gnostic Catholic Church. Crowley also dedicated his Mystery Play The Ship (1913) and a collection of poetry, The Giant's Thumb (1915) to Reuss. In 1913 he became Grand Master of the Rite of Memphis-Misraïm, a masonic group which previously included the revolutionaries Louis Blanc and Giuseppe Garibaldi amongst its ranks.

In 1914, at the outset of World War I, Reuss left England and returned to Germany. He worked briefly for the Red Cross in Berlin, then, in 1916, moved to Basle, Switzerland. While there, he established an "Anational Grand Lodge and Mystic Temple" of O.T.O. and the Hermetic Brotherhood of Light at Monte Verità, a utopian commune near Ascona founded in 1900 by Henri Oedenkoven and Ida Hofmann, which functioned as a center for the Progressive Underground. On January 22, 1917, Reuss published a manifesto for this Anational Grand Lodge, which was called "Verità Mystica." On the same date, he published a Revised O.T.O. Constitution of 1917 (based in a large part on Crowley's 1913 Constitution of the M∴M∴M∴), with a "Synopsis of Degrees" and an abridgment of "The Message of the Master Therion" appended. Reuss held an "Anational Congress for Organising the Reconstruction of Society on Practical Cooperative Lines" at Monte Verità August 15-25, 1917. This Congress included readings of Crowley's poetry (on August 22) and a recitation of Crowley's Gnostic Mass (on August 24). On October 24, 1917, Reuss Chartered an O.T.O. Lodge, "Libertas et Fraternitas" in Zürich. This Lodge later placed itself under the Masonic jurisdiction of the Swiss Grand Lodge Alpina.

In 1918, Reuss published his German translation of Crowley's Gnostic Mass. In a note at the end of his translation of Liber XV, he referred to himself as, simultaneously, the Sovereign Patriarch and Primate of the Gnostic Catholic Church, and Gnostic Legate to Switzerland of the Église Gnostique Universelle, acknowledging Jean Bricaud (1881-1934) as Sovereign Patriarch of that church. The issuance of this document can be viewed as the birth of the Thelemic E.G.C. as an independent organization under the umbrella of O.T.O., with Reuss as its first Patriarch.

Reuss was clearly impressed with Thelema. Crowley's Gnostic Mass, which Reuss translated into German and had recited at his Anational Congress at Monte Verità, is an explicitly Thelemic ritual. In an undated letter to Crowley (received in 1917), Reuss reported exitedly that he had read The Message of the Master Therion to a gathering at Monte Verità, and that he was translating The Book of the Law into German. He added, "Let this news encourage you! We live in your Work!!!"...

Clearly, however, Obama is deeply influenced by some of the ideas, much of the political propaganda, and many of the personalities of the "New Age" including but not limited to Oprah Winfrey. On the other hand, it is difficult for me to assess how much of Oprah's enthusiasm was racial and how much of it was motivated by her New Age spiritualities. It is also possible that Barack's New Age support could have been occasioned by New Agers wishing to market their books on Oprah and wishing to please her in every way. I continue to be astounded by authors who would literally sell their soul to have their books pushed by Oprah!

It's nice to say that the Cathars were heretics, but the instruments of torture used on them, and on others who were not heretics were nothing short of barbaric.

I will repeat.. those who forget history are bound to repeat it. It fascinates me how we are willing to excuse hundreds of years of history of the Vatican and ignore the political power that the Vatican holds. We cannot defend the brutal torture of the Cathars by those who claim to be followers of Yeshua. Yeshua never tortured heretics of His day and neither did the apostles.

The fact is that the Vatican was not only responsible for torturing Cathars, but Jews, Waldeneses, Protestants, etc. John Hus was burnt alive at the stake for the "sin" of wanting a Bible translated into the language of the people.

    http://tinyurl.com/cfbbgy

    "
The executioners undressed Hus and tied his hands behind his back with ropes, and his neck with a chain to a stake around which wood and straw had been piled up so that it covered him to the neck. Still at the last moment, the imperial marshal, Von Pappenheim, in the presence of the Count Palatine, asked him to save his life by a recantation, but Hus declined with the words "God is my witness that I have never taught that of which I have been accused by false witnesses. In the truth of the Gospel which I have written, taught, and preached I will die to-day with gladness." There upon the fire was kindled with John Wycliffe’s own manuscripts used as kindling for the fire. With uplifted voice Hus sang, "Christ, thou Son of the living God, have mercy upon me." Among his dying words he proclaimed, “In 100 years, God will raise up a man whose calls for reform cannot be suppressed.” His ashes were gathered and cast into the nearby Rhine River."

Today, the Vatican is taking a different approach with Vatican II. I'm still confused by the idea of "fighting the New Age Movement" and standing for other sorts of heresy. What good does it do to stand against New Age, but leave people in other kinds of deception?

The "infallible" Vatican is taking a stand with the evolutionists again today on the cover of the IHT:

    http://tinyurl.com/by8536

The Vatican doesn't think that intelligent design should be taught but evolution. It seems to me that evolution fits in very nicely with the New Agers who talk about "conciousness evolution". I realize it is not politically correct to critique the Catholic Church on this blog, but sweeping hundreds of years of history ( if not thousands) under the carpet and only focusing on the New Age Movement is confusing to me.

I am concerned with the so-called Bible believing churches turning to things like Ignatian exercises and Benedictine this and that. The Bible is being replaced by religion, and the young people in these churches are clueless about Scripture and the history of the Vatican. I'm referring more specifically to the Emergent Church movement which seems to be embracing "religion" instead of truth:

    http://tinyurl.com/azpa5u

This seems to accomplish the very sort of thing that Vatican II set out to do, while at the same time the Catholic Church is seeking to restore its ties with traditional Catholicism i.e. those in SSPX who believe salvation is in the Catholic Church. I doubt that John Hus or some of his contemporaries who were persecuted for their faith in the Bible felt that way. I doubt the Huguenots felt that way either or numerous others who were tortured and killed at the hands of the Vatican, who used force to impose faith.

Now here's some examples of how this stuff is making a comeback among "bible believers"

    http://christianresearchnetwork.com/?cat=17
    http://tinyurl.com/cxomeq

I find it baffling, but also dangerous. It's the open door which will create the one world religion. Most of these practices are coming right out of ancient Catholicism.

RAMALLAH, West Bank, March 4 (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton criticised on Wednesday Israel's plans to demolish dozens of Palestinian homes in Arab East Jerusalem as a violation of its international obligations.

"Clearly this kind of activity is unhelpful and not in keeping with the obligations entered into under the 'road map'," Clinton said, referring to the long-stalled peace plan.

"It is an issue that we intend to raise with the government of Israel and the government at the municipal level in Jerusalem," she added at a joint news conference with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. The Protestant Inquisition

What many Evangelicals don't know is that there was also a Protestant Inquisition after the Reform. Protestants also fell into a similar myopic approach to silencing dissenting views. It was not a "warm fuzzy" Holy Spirit environment back in the early days of the Reform. Tens of thousands of non-Anglicans were killed in England. It was brutal. In America, the Puritans (Protestants) also conducted an Inquisition where people were burned at the stake.

    Martin Luther said:

There are others who teach in opposition to some recognized article of faith which is manifestly grounded on Scripture . . . Heretics of this sort must not be tolerated, but punished as open blasphemers . . . If anyone wishes to preach or to teach, let him make known the call or the command which impels him to do so, or else let him keep silence. If he will not keep quiet, then let the civil authorities command the scoundrel to his rightful master - namely, Master Hans [i.e., the hangman]. (Janssen, X, 222; EA, Bd. 39, 250-258; Commentary on 82nd Psalm, 1530; cf. Durant, 423, Grisar, VI, 26-27)

In Scotland in 1699, an 18 year old, Thomas Akin was hung (put to death) by the local authorities who were Presbyterians. The charge was blasphemy.

    The Cathars

The Cathars were waging war on Christians and many were killed in sourthern France. A legate to the Pope was sent to southern France to assess the situation with the Cathar heresy. The Cathars made the mistake of killing him. The Pope talked to the King in northern France and asked what could be done. The King launched a crusade in 1209 that destroyed the Cathar's military might in southern France. But the Cathars went underground and continued to pull many from the Faith.

The first Inquisition was instituted in 1231 as a response to the Cathars influence in southern France. An Inquisition consisted of two religious judges who would go into an area where a heresy was being spread. They would interview people and find out who was propagating the heresy. Then they would contact the heretics, and give them a grace period of 48 hours to cease their teaching and retract. After that time, if the heretic didn't stop, they would hold court. At this session the two inquisitors would be present, along with the Lord of the region, and some community leaders etc. They would bring forth evidence and seek a confession. Then the heretic would be handed over to the local authorities. Under Roman law, an offense against the faith was considered an offense against the state, so the state would do the discipline. The Church only passed the verdict, not the sentence. The Inquisition could not have happened without collaboration and alliance with the civil power of the time.

The Inquisition was also an attempt to stop Catholic lynch mobs that went around punishing heretics. If the Church didn't step in, the Catholic lay people would gather together in search of heretics and they sometimes got the wrong guy. It was a mess. These mobs would go around doing violence to people who were teaching heresy. For example, a Cathar preacher made a bonfire and drew a large crowd. He preached against Jesus and threw a crucifix on the bonfire. This enraged the townsfolk and they rushed the Cathar preacher and threw him on the bonfire.

Another thing that is exaggerated by the press is the use of "torture" (1) to bring about a confession. Torture was never used more than once on an accused and it was quite rare among Church inquisitors. Secular Inquisitors on the other hand were quite harsh. Torture was a standard practice in the secular courts of the time.

    The Spanish Inquisition

This section is based on excerpts from the paper: The Real Inquisition, Investigating the popular myth by professor Thomas F. Madden with footnotes by Fr. Lindsay Harrison.

By the mid 16th century, Spain was the wealthiest and most powerful country in Europe. Europe's Protestant areas, including the Netherlands, northern Germany, and England, may not have been as militarily mighty, but they did have a potent new weapon: the printing press. Although the Spanish defeated Protestants on the battlefield, they would lose the propaganda war. These were the years when the famous "Black Legend" of Spain was forged. The "The Black Legend," did not arise until after the Protestant defeat at the Battle of Muhlberg at the hands of Ferdinand's grandson, the Emperor Charles V. A fierce propaganda campaign ensued. Two important Protestant publications in it were John Foxe's Book of Martyrs (1554) and a leaflet published in 1567 penned by a supposed Inquisition victim named Montanus. He painted Catholic Spaniards as barbarians who ravished women and sodomized young boys. The propagandists soon created "hooded fiends" who tortured their victims in horrible devices like the knife-filled Iron Maiden. The number of victims was exaggerated. Foxe claimed 32,000 were burned at the stake. The myth became the accepted stereotype, as seen in Dostoyevsky's Grand Inquisitor in The Brothers Karamazov and in Edgar Allan Poe's tale of The Pit and the Pendulum. Innumerable books and pamphlets poured from northern presses accusing the Spanish Empire of inhuman depravity and horrible atrocities in the New World. Opulent Spain was cast as a place of darkness, ignorance, and evil.

Protestant tracts that took aim at the Spanish Inquisition drew liberally from the Black Legend. But it had other sources as well. From the beginning of the Reformation, Protestants had difficulty explaining the 15-century gap between Christ's institution of His Church and the founding of the Protestant churches. Catholics pointed out this problem, accusing Protestants of having created a new church separate from that of Christ. Protestants countered that their church was the one created by Christ, but that it had been forced underground by the Catholic Church. Thus, just as the Roman Empire had persecuted Christians, so its successor, the Roman Catholic Church, continued to persecute them throughout the Middle Ages. Inconveniently, there were no Protestants in the Middle Ages, yet Protestant authors found them there anyway in the guise of various medieval heretics. In this light, the medieval Inquisition was nothing more than an attempt to crush the hidden, true church. The Spanish Inquisition, still active and extremely efficient at keeping Protestants out of Spain, was for Protestant writers merely the latest version of this persecution. Mix liberally with the Black Legend and you have everything you need to produce tract after tract about the hideous and cruel Spanish Inquisition. And so they did.

How many people were killed in the Inquisition?

In the Medieval Inquisition, Bernard Gui was one of the most notorious of the medieval inquisitors. (so much so that the sick modern pornography industry has turned him into a hero). He tried 930 people out of which 42 were executed (4.5%). Another famous Inquisitor was Jacques Fournier who tried 114 cases of which 5 were executed (4.3%). Using numbers that are known, scholars have been able to surmise that approximately 2,000 people died in the Medieval Inquisition. (1231-1400 AD)

According to public news reports the book's editor, Prof. Agostino Borromeo, stated that about 125,000 persons were investigated by the Spanish Inquisition, of which 1.8% were executed (2,250 people). Most of these deaths occurred in the first decade and a half of the Inquisition's 350 year history. In Portugal of the 13,000 tried in the 16th and early 17th century 5.7% were said to have been condemned to death. News articles did not report if Portugal's higher percentage included those sentenced to death in effigy (i.e. an image burnt instead of the actual person). For example, historian Gustav Henningsen reported that statistical tabulations of 50,000 recorded cases tried by nineteen Spanish tribunals between 1540-1700 found 775 people (1.7%) were actually executed while another 700 (1.4%) were sentenced to death in effigy ("El 'banco de datos' del Santo Oficio: Las relaciones de causas de la Inquisición española, 1550-1700", BRAH, 174, 1977). Jewish historian Steven Katz remarked on the Medieval Inquisition that "in its entirety, the thirteenth and fourteenth century Inquisition put very few people to death and sent few people to prison; 90 percent of its sentences were canonical penances" (The Holocaust in Historical Context, 1994).

During the high point of the Spanish Inquisition from 1478-1530 AD, scholars found that approximately 1,500-2,000 people were found guilty. From that point forward, there are exact records available of all "guilty" sentences which amounted to 775 executions. In the full 200 years of the Spanish Inquisition, less than 1% of the population had any contact with it, people outside of the major cities didn't even know about it. The Inquisition was not applied to Jews or Moslems, unless they were baptised as Christians.

If we add the figures, we find that the entire Inquisition of 500 years, caused about 6,000 deaths. These atrocities are completely inexcusable. These numbers are however, a far cry from the those used in the popular press by people who are always looking to destroy the Church.

    Protestant Witch Hunts

Jenny Dobbins, a self-professed wiccan practitioner and wiccan historian, has written a very interesting article posted on a pagan web site called "Covenant of the Goddess." She is with a Masters in medieval history and minored in the Great Hunt. I have a great respect for the integrity with which she reveals the truth about the Burning Times to her wiccan associates.

    Here are a few quotes:

When the Church was at the height of its power (11th-14th centuries) very few witches died. Persecutions did not reach epidemic levels until after the Reformation, when the Catholic Church had lost its position as Europe's indisputable moral authority. Moreover most of the killing was done by secular courts. Church courts tried many witches but they usually imposed non-lethal penalties. A witch might be excommunicated, given penance, or imprisoned, but she was rarely killed. The Inquisition almost invariably pardoned any witch who confessed and repented...

Of witches who died, 95% were tried by secular tribunals rather than the Inquisition or Episcopal courts. Two inquisitors put out a manual called "Malleus Maleficarum" (the hammer of witches) in an attempt to squash witchcraft in Germany, but the Bishops stopped them, and they didn't get very far. The book however was a very unfortunate piece of work. The secular courts got hold of this manual and used it to prosecute witches.

The main witch crazes were between 1580-1685 A.D. The reform was in full swing by then.

The Catholic Church had nothing to do with the Salem witch burnings in the US. That was a Protestant thing, as were witch burnings in Scotland, England, most of Germany. There were also many secular entities that burned witches. Often overlooked is that 20-25% of witch prosecution were men.

The Encyclopedia of Witchcraft and Demonology by Rossel Hope Robbins (New York : Julian Press, Inc., 1958. Encyclopaedia Britanica. Third Edition, 1970) has been a major influence on modern thinking about witches and the Inquisition. It predates the 1972 secular discovery that the "historical" book by Lamothe-Langon called "Histoire de l'Inquisition en France" documenting the Inquisition in France, was a forgery. I've posted more information about that, from a secular "pagan" historian, here.

Although there were witches on trial during the Inquisition, there was no major "witch craze" before the Reformation. Martin Luther, Calvin and their followers cited the Bible as their reason for wanting witches burned.

Philip Jenkins, Distinguished Professor of History and Religious Studies at Pennsylvania State University and a self-professed Episcopalian, remarked on the Inquisition in his book, The New Anti-Catholicism: The Last Acceptable Prejudice (2003). Below are a couple of pertinent quotes:

"There never was such a thing as a Church-wide inquisition, a terrifying monolith comparable to the NKVD or the Gestapo. It is more accurate to think of inquisitions that operated extensively in some areas in a highly decentralized way, although they notionally acted under papal authority. Inquisitions were important at certain times and places but never existed in other areas."

"The main problem about speaking of 'the Inquisition' is that it suggests that religious repression of this sort was a Catholic prerogative. In fact, before the Enlightenment, virtually all religious traditions on occasion acted similarly when they had the power to do so..This indictment of religious savagery and intolerance applies to.all the Protestant nations, even relatively liberal ones such as England and the Netherlands..Equally blameworthy would be Muslims, Hindus, and even Buddhists. After all, in the seventeenth century, when Catholic inquisitions were at their height, the Buddhist/Shinto nation of Japan was engaged in a ferocious attempt to stamp out the deviant faith of Christianity through torture and massacre. In just forty years, these Japanese religious persecutions killed far more victims than the Spanish Inquisition would in all the centuries of its existence."

That doesn't square with any of the historical estimates from a variety of sources:

    http://tinyurl.com/bmwhks

...but you're right in saying any brutality in the name of God like burning people alive, stretching people on racks and having people sit on iron spikes, not to mention mutilation of sexual parts... is about as barbaric as you can get..

    http://tinyurl.com/c7dec8

I have seen the instruments with my own eyes, so I know that it is not exaggerated. It is equal to the awful atrocities committed by the famous Dr. Mengele under the Nazi regime. The difference is that this was done in the name of "God". You are not responsible for these terrible atrocities of the Catholic Church, so I'm not blaming you... but the history speaks for itself.

As Roger Oakland so correctly points out in his video, it's amazing to see these Emergent types and the Rick Warrens rushing back into the arms of Mother Rome.. It seems that they have forgotten the reason why the Reformation took place to begin with or they have a different agenda.. the one world religious agenda.. I see this as a greater risk than what Constance has mentioned..

Personally it does not bother me at all to be in disagreement with Muslims or Catholics.. If we don't agree, so be it.. We never have in the past.. so why should we now.

I am not afraid of the New Age causing us to be against one another as much as I am concerned that the New Age wants to join everyone together in false ecumenic unity, just as the Vatican did when it introduced Vatican II.

Individual Catholics are just a product of their upbringing, and I don't have anything against them. The Vatican, the pope and the institution is quite another story.

    Joyce,

The black legend documents, were proved to be a forgery, yeah, the same one that describes the brutal torture you speak of. Similar to the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. I don't deny that the Inquistion targeted heretics, but so did Protestants. The Black Legend simply exaggarates to no end.

Professor Stephen Haliczer of Northern University of Illinois found that the Spanish Inquisition used torture in only 2 percent of more than 7,000 cases studied, and never for more than 15 minutes. Less than 1 percent were tortured more than once, and he found no evidence that anyone was ever tortured more than twice. This during a time when damaging shrubs in a common garden was an offence punishable by death in England.

The dungeon-like, filthy jails of the Inquisition shown in movies such as “Man of La Mancha” are another fabricated slur against the Inquisition. Prof. Haliczer claims the Inquisition’s jails were superior to all other jails in Spain, and notes, “I found instances of prisoners in secular criminal courts blaspheming in order to get into the Inquisition prison.”

The BBC research shows that more men and women were executed by the guillotine of French Revolution in one day than by the Spanish Inquisition during the entire 16th century. In the vast majority of cases, an Inquisition ended in absolution, penance, or a warning –not an execution.

As for crimes committed in the name of "God". American Protestant Puritans practiced slavery in the name of God. The Salem Witch trials and executions were carried out in the name of God too. Henry VIII killed his wives in the name of "God". There's a lot more that Protestants have done in the name of God too.

I don't know what version of the end-times you subscribe to, so I'll just have to disagree with your conspiracy theories.

BTW, Pave the Way Foundation whose founders are Jewish, are studying the Vatican Archives pertaining to World War 2. It turns out the Catholic Church saved more Jews from the Nazis than all the churches and governments combined. Here's acess to the documents.

The Catholic Church decided on the books of the Bible in 373 and 397 AD. This was more than 1000 years before any Evangelical denomination existed. Catholics assembled it, protected it, copied it in monasteries, protected it from fires, floods and wars. Without the Catholic Church, the world would not have the Bible today. The Bible did not just drop out of the sky with an NIV sticker on the binding.

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said Tuesday that a global "new deal" on cleaning up the reeling banking sector was possible within months, during talks with US President Barack Obama.

"Look, there is the possibility in the next few months of a global new deal that will involve all the countries of the world in sorting out and cleaning up the banking system," Brown told reporters in the Oval Office.

"There is the possibility of all the different countries of the world coming together to agree the expansion in the economy that is necessary to restore confidence and to give people jobs and growth and prosperity for the future."

There is nothing of the love of Yeshua in any of these instruments of torture. The same way the crimes against innocent children were covered up in our century, the horrific crimes against Cathars, Waldneses, Jews, Huguenots, etc. are also covered up or minimized. This kind of history has nothing to do with the Biblical accounts of Yeshua or His beloved followers. It is from the pit of hell. It is impossible to listen to an organization that has participated in these horrific acts and then tried to cover them up or minimize them.

    Joyce,

I never denied the Inquisition or the punishment of heretics. I just said your sources are exaggarating facts. Historians estimate the Inqusition killed around 6,000 people over a period of 500-600 years. I am not condoning these killings. I am just saying that most of your sources simply state the "Black Legend" Lies.

Edward Peters in "Inquisition" (University of California Press, Berkeley and Los Angeles, CA, 1989) explains how the myth of the all-embracing inquisition developed in European thought. The creation of the myth of the Inquisition was tied to the creation of an image of a Catholic Spain in the consciousness of the West. "An image of Spain circulated through late sixteenth-century Europe, borne by means of political and religious propaganda that blackened the characters of Spaniards and their rulers to such an extent that Spain became the symbol of all forces of repression, brutality, religious and political intolerance, and intellectual and artistic backwardness for the next four centuries. Spaniards and Hispanophiles have termed this process and the image that resulted from it as ‘The Black Legend,’ la leyenda negra." It is this post-Reformation anti-Catholic "black legend" that created the myths surrounding the Spanish Inquisition. Serious historical studies in the 20th Century have debunked these myths, but they continue to persist in popular imagination.

Pope John Paul II admitted the wrong actions of the Catholic Church throughout history, including some tortures and deaths related to the medieval Inquisitions. The following is a letter he wrote recounting his sorrow:

The institution of the Inquisition has been abolished...the children of the Church cannot but return with a spirit of repentance to "the acquiescence given, especially in certain centuries, to intolerance and even the use of violence in the service of the truth" (4)

This spirit of repentance, it is clear, entails a firm determination to seek in the future ways to bear witness to the truth that are in keeping with the Gospel."

The prayer I addressed to God on that occasion contains the reasons for a request for forgiveness that can also be applied to the tragedies associated with the Inquisition, as well as to the injuries to memory that result from it.

"Lord, God of all men and women, in certain periods of history. Christians have at times given in to [forms of] intolerance and have not been faithful to the great commandment of love, sullying in this way the face of the Church, your Spouse. Have mercy on your sinful children and accept our resolve to seek and promote truth in the gentleness of charity, in the firm knowledge that truth can prevail only in virtue of truth itself. We ask this through Christ Our Lord"

(Prayer for Forgiveness, Day of Pardon, 12 March, II; ORE, 22 March 2000, p.).

Whether they be convicted of error, or freely confess their guilt, Catharists are not to be put to death, at least not when they refrain from armed assaults upon the Church. For although the Apostle said, A man that is a heretic after the third admonition, avoid, he certainly did not say, Kill him. Throw them into prison, if you will, but do not put them to death (cf. I'm glad this site has people willing to debate the merits and demerits of the various sects of Christianity, as well as exposing non-Christian influences such as Share International.

I have known innocent middle aged women enticed into the meditation practices of Share International, including my late husband's first wife, and others. I am so glad to be informed that these Share people are anti-semitic. My late husband's first wife, part Jewish, as was he, as were their children, would be horrified to learn this; she never learned it in her lifetime but went to her death thinking peacefully about her joy in the afterlife, which she claimed to have seen. I pray God will forgive her for wallowing in the ignorance which was thrust on her by her church, among other deranged institutions.

It is a true miracle of God when anyone is blessed with enough common sense to see the truth about these things.

I believe the rapture will be coming, probably before the tribulation, to save those who have already done so much hard work and suffering to garner some shreds of truth out of the massive delusion coming on the earth. I would guess that no one will be able to resist the antichrist's electronic and chemical control in the tribulation.
Will these victims lose their heads to the guillotine in time to save them from electronic or chemical ruin? I suspect not too often; hence the rapture to save people such as those on this site who try so hard to capture and hold the truth.

Global Television For Our Global Leader

AIM Report | By Cliff Kincaid | March 1, 2009

    Excerpts from the article:

“Elite members of the World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos, Switzerland, at the end of January were considering a proposal for a new global television network to usher in a state of “global governance.””

“The media proposal, which was included in “The Global Agenda 2009” report, is to create “a new global network” with “the capacity to connect the world, bridging cultures and peoples, and telling us who we are and what we mean to each other.” Several prominent U.S. media figures signed on to the alarming and controversial proposal.”

“The Global Agenda 2009 report says that “sovereign states do not adequately address problems reaching across borders” and that “international taxation” may be needed to generate the “additional resources” for “global governance.””

“Under the title of “Recommendations” (page 182), the Council on the Future of Media declares that “The Council is championing a new global, independent news and information service whose role is to inform, educate and improve the state of the world—one that would take advantage of all platforms of content delivery from mobile to satellite and online to create a new global network.””

“It goes on [to state], “In a world where there are calls for global governance as a response to a global financial crisis, where scientific research, capital flows and production chains are globalized, the media and the communities in which we imagine ourselves remain fiercely localized.” Hence, a global network will work against “localized” or national-based systems and convince people to go “global” with their outlook and solutions. In other words, the new network will help undermine old-fashioned notions of national sovereignty and patriotism.”

The Jewish Bible contains 24 books divided into the three sections. For most Protestant Christians, the Old Testament (excluding the Apocrypha) contains the same books, …"

You might want to clarify that you mean the books that comprise what is called the New Testament.

The last link I posted 2:14 am is of questionable origins. I listened a little further and while some of the historical facts may be accurate it appears to be made by a Mormon, so that would disqualify it.

I listen to all the things I post, but sometimes I post before listening. In the future I will be more careful about that.. The Mormons are good at history as evidenced by their incredible research in genealogy, but based on Mormon doctrine, I cannot recommend it. They believe Lucifer is Yeshua's brother, so that automatically makes them extremely heretic as I think was already mentioned here, not to mention the fact that they have a bizarre secret hierarchy similar to the structure of the freemasons..and Joseph Smith was evidently a mason before founding the Mormon church.

Joyce, I am interested in facts, not propaganda. Historians have debunked "The Black Legend". If you want to believe in it, I would question your sanity.

Jews have always had the Hebrew Bible, true. But, how did Protestants get the cannon of the Christian Bible (Old and New Testaments). How did they know what books should be in the Bible, when the Bible does not tell you what books should be in the Bible?

Surely the people, who decided what books to include, and what to exclude, were inspired by the Holy Spirit and had God given authority to do so. And guess what, they were not Protestants, because Protestants did not exist when the cannon of the Bible was sealed.

Strange. I wanted to read more comments on this thread today, so without thinking I clicked on the heading "The scariest form of anti-
    Semitism yet seen."

This took me not to this blog but to a site of Share International and Benjamin Creme.

How did your heading get automatically linked to Share International? Must be a troll here? I am not computer-friendly so I may be naive, but even if I clicked on the wrong thing I should not get to Share Iternational and an article by Creme. I tried it three times, always the same, so it is not a mistake by me, other than selecting the heading instead of the "comments" link.

It saddens me more than I am already sad to read the various comments on torture from Catholics and torture from Protestants. It would seem both entities had more than their share of this. I remember in the Unitarian Church they emphasized the cruelty of John Calvin in burning Michael Servetus for heresy. Yes, many burned and strangled in England and Europe by Protestants. I am, thank God, finally divorced from all "churches" except a little Bible study up the street which meets in a neighbor's home; plus what online support I get at a Christian site I found in December. I know my own clan in Scotland was responsible for the torture of serfs under their dominion. I am descended from evil people, as we all are, if we believe the Bible.

I was very Catholic-friendly a few months ago, but a Catholic women's Bible study opened my eyes to a few things, including the fact that these women really agree with the Pope that birth control is wrong, and they are having many babies to prove it. They even think all birth control is abortion.

Gee Joyce, it looks like you got so EXCITED seeing the words WHORE OF BABYLON in reference to the Catholic Church you couldn't post it fast enough.

Let's see now, maybe I can give you a little help here....among the others peddling the "WHORE OF BABYLON" jive there is Dave Hunt who has ties to Jacob Prasch and his Messianic Jewish organization Moriel Ministries who are said to be peddling "Kabbalah."

I guess that even if you are not personally a member of Moriel Ministries(?) they are nevertheless entitled to a pass as long as they are in bed with someone who calls the Catholic Church "WHORE OF BABYLON."

I know you have talked about TRUE "ecumenism" here. It appears to me that as long as someone is trashing the Catholic Church and calling her "WHORE OF BABYLON" - whatever else they might believe - THAT seems to be when you most enthusiastically wax "ecumenical"

Another person you have cited on this blog on more than one occasion as an "impeccable source" of information on Catholicism is Alexander Hislop and his book
    THE TWO BABYLONS.

Hislop's WHORE OF BABYLON thesis has featured prominently in the conspiracy theories of racist groups such as The Covenant, The Sword, and the Arm of the Lord.

Dave Hunt made me sick, too, Susanna.
He wrote a book some time ago, forget which of his it was, in which he strongly implied that ALL Catholics would go to hell, just because they committed the sin of not exiting the Catholic Church. He claimed pity on them for having thus been condemned to hell by the Catholic Church. At that time I knew some Catholics who were obviously sincere Christians, much more sincere than the Protestants I then knew. Hunt is nuts, in my opinion.

Moriel Ministries--I took their newsletter for a while but, again, found them VERY narrow in their views about salvation. So unlinked with them.

The remnant is either much larger or much smaller than we think; only HaShem knows who is in it.

    Susanna,

While I have problems with the film, obviously you know what I think of the Vatican, so clearly I try to post things that seem consistent with my ideas. I just made the error of not watching before posting as I already explained. Today another article in the Jerusalem Post is quite interesting:

    http://tinyurl.com/b24dco

Some of the Anglicans are coming back to Rome. By the way, I'm not the only one that has seen the Vatican as part of the Babylonian system of Revelations. For centuries this view was held by many and still is today. There are a lot of connections. Here are just a few:

    http://www.reformation.org/vatican-and-islam.pdf

    http://tinyurl.com/dzjvgy

The prophet Daniel talks about the 4th beast being Rome and retaining aspects of the previous empires. The resurrected Roman Empire EU, is political, but there are spiritual characteristics of the Roman Empire. I don't believe the empire will be strictly "Catholic" in the classical sense of Catholic, but rather an ecumenic empire "babylon" confusion with the Vatican presiding over this confusion. I don't think the Vatican will be alone because many are making their way back to join the Vatican now in ecumenic unity...

Yeshua's sheep will not be part of the big pack which is trying to divide Jerusalem, promoting the false peace and safety that the Bible warns of. The only true peace is in Yeshua. Apart from Him and Him alone there is no shalom. Any attempt to create shalom by humanistic means in my book is the false peace.

Rome is deeply engaged in the ecumenic movement. I'm sure Tony Blair's conversion, right before become Mideast envoy for the Quartet was not coincidental. There isn't a political leader in the world who doesn't consult with the Vatican...which is very interesting since the pope is supposed to be a spiritual leader, not a political leader. The Vatican has the blood of the saints on its hands. It is a city on 7 hills, the colors of scarlet and purple certainly remind us of Rome.

The Vactican has slaughtered Bible believers, Jews, etc. It has made "little ones stumble" as Yeshua said.

Matt. 18:6 but whoever bcauses one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it 1would be better for him to have a 2heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.

The children who were victims of sexual abuse at the hands of priests for years and waited decades for any justice and not justice rendered by the Vatican itself, but through the court system are certainly likely to stumble, but for the grace of God which could reveal to them that the Catholic Church is not Yeshua's assembly because Yeshua's assembly would never let innocent children be molested and hide those who performed this horrific acts. A Yeshua's assembly would not burn people alive for reading the Bible. Yeshua's assembly would not kill Jews, the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Yeshua's called-out assembly would not consider their leader the "vicar or Christ". Look at Yeshua's example:

Phil. 2:6-7 who, although He existed in the form of God, cdid not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.

Rev. 17:9 “Here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits,

The Vatican would like Jerusalem to be an international capital, just like the UN:

I posted something from this site several weeks ago:

    http://www.cmep.org/Statements/s15.htm

    http://tinyurl.com/ag6cd9

You can ignore the Scriptures, the spiritual realities, but one day when you see these things coming to pass..one day perhaps very soon, I hope you remember what I've been pointing out.

Since my only guide is the Scriptures, not manmade traditions it's not so difficult to see how the Vatican has plainly violated the Word of God for centuries upon centuries.

    http://chiesa.espresso.repubblica.it/articolo/7733

I don't believe the Vatican will be alone. It will gather a group of different religious leaders with it in false ecuemenic unity ( the goal of Vatican II, a Common Word, Assisi meeting, etc,)

    http://www.cmep.org/sites.htm#Interreligious%20Organizations

and they will try to divide the land of Israel and make Jerusalem an international capital under the auspices of the UN, and the 3 Abrahamic religions, but the Catholic Church will figure prominently in this plan and will be willing to join with the other "Abrahamic religions" to do this. All who attach themselves to this babylonian group will be participating in the apostasy.

One can to ignore the realities and follow the Vatican or they read the Scriptures and see what they say.

Yes, I make no secret of the fact that I believe the Vatican is one of the leading institutions in the apostasy. The theological foundations of the Vatican were founded on a blatant lie. Yeshua never ordained Peter as "pope" and when you start on an errant foundation, the rest of what you build is going to be off too. The foundation must be the Rock, which is Yeshua. From that foundation we can build a called-out assembly, not on a man, on the solid Rock, Yeshua.

The problem is that not only does Rome set themselves up as a false authority, but then they try to control what the means of salvation but making their administration of sacraments the means by which one enters.. so Rome thinks it's the gatekeeper to eternal life, with its indulgences and its Hail Marys and Our Fathers.. Yeshua told us we were not to pray with vain repetition, but the Catholic Church blesses rosary beads and creates another ritual where by they attempt to render the Word of God nul and void.

As one who was raised a Catholic, I know that the the Catholic Church believes that salvation is found in it and in its sacraments. Because it is built on a false premise that there is such a thing as a pope and sacraments, and it has killed people for centuries who don't go along with its flawed doctrine, not to mention not letting the people even read the Scriptures in their own language for centuries the Vatican will continue, as it always has to lead the sheep astray.

Some people believe because Catholics believe in "Jesus" that the church can't be that bad, but the question is what do they believe about Yeshua/Jesus. Do they believe that His death alone atones for all of our sins? If we have faith in His atonement we are born-again and are the righteousness of Messiah Yeshua and the Father no longer sees us as fallen humans but as His precious children. Do they believe that we have assurance of eternal life and direct access to His throne because Ephesians says we are seated in the heavenly realms in Messiah Yeshua.. We are already there.. NO Purgatory, No Penance, No Sacraments, NO Extremunction, no Priest because Yeshua is our High Priest now who cleansed our sins in the Heavens!!!!

It makes me furious to see that for centuries the RCC has led people into such darkness to bow before statues, and use rosary beads and worship Mary, to pay indulgences, to undermine people's ability to read the Scriptures, to pretend that they have the authority to make saints when the Bible says in Yeshua we are ALL saints.. WE have been justified, made righteous by the blood of the Lamb. We don't need the Pope to play God and decide if we are eligible for sainthood.

I am not mad at you Susanna, nor am I against you. You're a victim of the lies.. I am furious at the shepherds who have read and studied the Scriptures, but prefer to close their eyes to the truth of what the Scriptures say and are only interested in appropriating power over people's lives that God HImself never gave them. It's outrageous.

I won't even mention how the RCC thought that they replaced Israel for many years as if God could forget His treasured possession. For centuries how the Jews were called "Christ killers". The Vatican is a false institution and the Pope is a false prophet. The Babylonian system is all the false religious systems rolled up into one lying ecumenic family. They will not listen to the Scriptures because their hearts are hardened and they have believed their own lies.

The sheep are usually sincere nice people who want to serve God and really believe the message of the Catholic Church but haven't taken the time to really study the Scriptures and see if the Scriptures conform to the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Those who know Yeshua, know His voice...

Ezek. 34:12 “aAs a shepherd cares for his herd in the day when he is among his scattered sheep, so I will 1bcare for My sheep and will deliver them from all the places to which they were scattered on a cloudy and gloomy day.

God/Yeshua is talking about searching for His sheep, Israel:

Ezek. 34:11 ¶ For thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I Myself will asearch for My sheep and seek them out.
Ezek. 34:12 “aAs a shepherd 1cares for his herd in the day when he is among his scattered 2sheep, so I will 1bcare for My 2sheep and will deliver them from all the places to which they were scattered on a ccloudy and gloomy day.
Ezek. 34:13 “I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries and bring them to their own land; and I will afeed them on the mountains of Israel, by the bstreams, and in all the inhabited places of the land.
Ezek. 34:14 “I will feed them in a agood pasture, and their grazing ground will be on the mountain heights of Israel. There they will lie down on good grazing ground and feed in 1brich pasture on the mountains of Israel.

He says it in Ezekiel, but also in John:

    John 10:27 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;

Yeshua came for the lost sheep of the House of Israel.

and He came to redeem them:

Matt. 15:24 But He answered and said, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

His salvation is available to all the nations too, but it is in Him and no other. He will not share His glory with another!

If you don't study the Scriptures you will join yourself to the apostate church of Rome instead of the Good Shephard.

If you hear His voice, then you will come out of Babylon, the false religious system and follow the Good Shepherd. If you don't open your eyes to what the Vatican has done for centuries and centuries, you will not see that the Vatican has not changed.. It's only changed tactics.. the goal is the same.. to dominate and be a religious/political power.

Yeshua could have done this. He had the power to, but didn't. He didn't have a place to put His head. He did not seek worldly riches or power, but the Vatican does. There is nothing of Yeshua in the Vatican, just dead statues, and a "dead Jesus" hanging on a cross. The Yeshua that I know is risen from the dead and victorious over the works of darkness. The Yeshua I know loves the lost sheep of the House of Israel, and the Jews and came to save them along with all those from the nations who would attach themselves to Him and His people.

The Yeshua that I know hates graven images and statues that are nothing more than idolatry, and prayers of vain repetition. His sheep will hear His voice...all the other false shepherds are thieves and robbers.

The Popes have received all their glory in this life...They seek the honor of men.. They do not represent the Yeshua that I know from the pages of Scripture. They have built a golden calf and called it YHVH, but it's not YHVH, it's a golden calf.

We can call anything or anyone we want God, but that doesn't make it true. We can call the pope a "vicar of Christ" but that doesn't make it true.. If enough people believe us we can build one of the biggest cults in history. Mohamed has as many followers as the pope, so size and age does not determine truth.

As for Moriel Ministries.. I'm not tracking with you. I don't follow their ministry at all. It's not just because a ministry is Jewish that I follow it. There are lots of Jewish ministries out there that I would have a hard time with too. Some of the Messianics that joined Jerusalem II Council, would fall into that bucket.

    http://www.tjcii.org/index.htm

This is an ecumenic unity is problematic too. I am equally willing to criticize Messianics, Methodists, Episcopalians, Baptists, Presbyterians, etc, etc.

The fact is that Rome will lead the pack in the ecumenic movement and coming out of Babylon means not going back, once you've separated.

Abraham left his home in Babylon and followed God. He listened to God's voice. He had relationship directly with God. Moses, the same, Joshua, David, Elijah, Elisha, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Isaiah, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, James, etc,, etc.

Going back to Babylon should not be an option for those of us who have been redeemed.

If you look honestly and objectively at Scripture, you will see that those who followed God listened to His voice.. My sheep know MY VOICE. If anyone is pointing us to anything other than the Lord that should be the first warning sign that we are on the wrong track.

When I began my research in 1970 into the exact beginnings of the pretribulation rapture belief still held by many evangelicals, I assumed that the rapture debate involved only "godly scholars with honest differences." The paper you are now reading reveals why I gave up that assumption many years ago. With this introduction-of-sorts in mind, let's take a long look at the pervasive dishonesty throughout the history of the 179-year-old pretrib rapture theory:

Mid-1820's - German scholar Max Weremchuk's work "John Nelson Darby" (1992) included what Benjamin Newton revealed about John Darby in the mid-1820's during his pre-Brethren days as an Anglican clergyman:
"J. N. Darby was a very subtle man. He had been a lawyer, or at least educated for the law. Once he wanted his Archbishop to pursue a certain course, when he (J.N.D.) was a curate in his diocese. He wrote a letter, therefore, saying he had been educated for the law, knew what the legal course would properly be; and then having written that clearly, he mystified the remainder of the letter both in word and in handwriting, and ended up by saying: You see, my Lord, such being the legal aspect of the case it would unquestionably be the best course for you to pursue, etc. And the Archbishop couldn't make out the legal part, but rested on Darby's word and did as he advised. Darby afterwards laughed over it, and indeed he showed a copy of the letter to Tregelles. This is not mentioned in the Archbishop's biography, but in it is the fact that he spoke of Darby as 'the most subtle man in my diocese.'"
This reminds me of an 1834 letter by Darby which spoke of the "Lord's coming." Darby added, concerning this coming, that "the thoughts are new" and that during any teaching of it "it would not be well to have it so clear." Darby's deviousness here was his usage of a centuries-old term - "Lord's coming" - to cover up his desire to sneak the new pretrib idea into existing posttrib groups in very low-profile ways!
1830 - In the spring of 1830 a young Scottish lassie, Margaret Macdonald, came up with the novel notion of a catching up [rapture] of Spirit-filled "church" members before Antichrist's "trial" [tribulation] of non-Spirit-filled "church" members - the first instance I've found of clear "pretrib" teaching (which was part of a partial rapture scheme). In Sep. 1830 "The Morning Watch" (a journal produced by London preacher Edward Irving and his "Irvingite" followers, some of whom had visited Margaret a few weeks earlier) began repeating her original thoughts and even her wording but gave her no credit - the first plagiarism I've found in pretrib history. Darby was still defending posttrib in Dec. 1830.
Pretrib promoters have long known the significance of her main point: a rapture of "church" members BEFORE the revealing of Antichrist. Which is why John Walvoord quoted nothing in her revelation, why Thomas Ice habitually skips over her main point but quotes lines BEFORE and AFTER it, and why Hal Lindsey muddies up her main point so he can (falsely) assert that she was NOT a pretribber! (Google "X-Raying Margaret" for info about her.)
NOTE: The development of the 1800's is thoroughly documented in my book "The Rapture Plot." You'll learn that Darby wasn't original on any chief aspect of dispensationalism (but plagiarized the Irvingites); that pretrib was initially based on only OT and NT symbols and not clear Scripture; that the symbols included the Jewish feasts, the two witnesses, and the man child - symbols adopted by Darby during most of his career; that Darby's later reminiscences exaggerated his earliest pretrib development, and that today's defenders such as Thomas Ice have further overstated what Darby overstated; that Irvingism didn't need later reminiscences to "clarify" its own early pretrib development; that ancient hymns and even the writings of the Reformers were subtly revised to make it appear they had taught pretrib; and that after Darby's death a clever revisionist quietly made many changes in early Irvingite and Brethren documents in order to steal credit for pretrib away from the Irvingites (and their female inspiration!) and give it dishonestly to Darby! (Before continuing, Google the "Powered by Christ Ministries" site and read "America's Pretrib Rapture Traffickers" - a sample of the current exciting internetism!)
1920 - Charles Trumbull's book "The Life Story of C. I. Scofield" told only the dispensationally-correct side of his life. Two recent books, Joseph Canfield's "The Incredible Scofield and His Book" (1988) and David Lutzweiler's "DispenSinsationalism: C. I. Scofield's Life and Errors" (2006), reveal the other side including his being jailed as a forger, dishonestly giving himself a non-conferred "D.D." etc. etc.!
1967 - Brethren scholar Harold Rowdon's "The Origins of the Brethren" quoted Darby associate Lord Congleton who was "disgusted with...the falseness" of Darby's accounts of things. Rowdon also quoted historian William Neatby who said that others felt that "the time-honoured method of single combat" was as good as anything "to elicit the truth" from Darby. (In other words, knock it out of him!)
1972 - Tim LaHaye's "The Beginning of the End" (1972) plagiarized Hal Lindsey's "The Late Great Planet Earth" (1970).
1976 - Charles Ryrie"s "The Living End" (1976) plagiarized Lindsey's "The Late Great Planet Earth" (1970) and "There's A New World Coming" (1973).
1976 - After John Walvoord's "The Blessed Hope and the Tribulation" (1976) brutally twisted Robert Gundry's "The Church and the Tribulation" (1973), Gundry composed and circulated a 35-page open letter to Walvoord which repeatedly charged the Dallas Seminary president with "misrepresentation," "misrepresentations" (and variations)!
1981 - "The Fundamentalist Phenomenon" (1981) by Jerry Falwell, Ed Dobson, and Ed Hindson heavily plagiarized George Dollar's 1973 book "A History of Fundamentalism in America."
1984 - After a prof at Southeastern College of the Assemblies of God in Florida told me that the No. 2 man at the AG world headquarters in Missouri - Joseph Flower - had the label of posttrib, my wife and I had two hour-long chats with him. He verified what I had been told. But we were dumbstruck when he told us that although AG ministers are required to promote pretrib, privately they can believe any other rapture view! Flower said that his father, an AG co-founder, was also posttrib. We also learned while in Springfield that when the AG's were organized in 1914, the initial group was divided between posttribs and pretribs - but that the pretribs shouted louder which resulted in that denomination officially adopting pretrib! (For details on this and other pretrib double-mindedness, Google "Pretrib Hypocrisy.")
1989 - Since 1989 Thomas Ice has referred to the "Mac-theory" (his reference to my research), giving the impression there's no solid evidence that Macdonald was the real pretrib originator. But Ice carefully conceals the fact that no eminent church historian of the 1800's - whether Plymouth Brethren or Irvingite - credited Darby with pretrib. Instead, they uniformly credited leading Irvingite sources, all of which upheld the Scottish lassie's contribution! Moreover, I'm hardly the only modern scholar seeing significance in Irvingism's territory. Others in recent years who have noted it, but who haven't mined it as deeply as I have, include Fuller, Ladd, Bass, Rowdon, Sandeen, and Gundry.
1989 - Greg Bahnsen and Kenneth Gentry produced evidence in 1989 that Lindsey's book "The Road to Holocaust" (1989) plagiarized "Dominion Theology" (1988) by H. Wayne House and Thomas Ice.
1990 - David Jeremiah's and C. C. Carlson's "Escape the Coming Night" (1990) massively plagiarized Lindsey's 1973 book "There's A New World Coming." (For more info, type in "Thieves' Marketing" on MSN or Google.)
1991 - Paul Lee Tan's "A Pictorial Guide to Bible Prophecy" (1991) plagiarized large amounts of Lindsey's "The Late Great Planet Earth" (1970).
1991 - Militant Darby defender R. A. Huebner claimed in 1991 to have found new evidence that Darby was pretrib as early as 1827 - three years before Macdonald. Halfway through his book Huebner suddenly admitted that his evidence could refer to something completely un-rapturesque. Even though Thomas Ice admitted to me that he knew that Huebner had "blown" his so-called evidence, prevaricator Ice continues to tell the world that Huebner has "positive evidence" that Darby was pretrib in 1827! Ice also conceals the fact that Darby, in his own 1827 paper, was looking for only "the restitution of all things" and "the times of refreshing" (Acts 3:19,21) - which Scofield doesn't see fulfilled until AFTER a future tribulation!
1992 - Tim LaHaye's "No Fear of the Storm" (1992) plagiarized Walvoord's "The Blessed Hope and the Tribulation" (1976).
1992 - This was when the Los Angeles Times revealed that "The Magog Factor" (1992) by Hal Lindsey and Chuck Missler was a monstrous plagiarism of Prof. Edwin Yamauchi's scholarly 1982 work "Foes from the Northern Frontier." Four months after this exposure, Lindsey and Missler stated they had stopped publishing and promoting their book. But in 1996 Dr. Yamauchi learned that the dishonest duo had issued a 1995 book called "The Magog Invasion" which still had a substantial amount of the same plagiarism! (If Lindsey and Missler ever need hernia operations, I predict that the doctors will tell them not to lift anything for a long time!)
1994 - In 1996 it was revealed that Lindsey's "Planet Earth - 2000 A.D. (1994) had an embarrassing amount of plagiarism of a Texe Marrs book titled "Mystery Mark of the New Age" (1988).
1995 - My book "The Rapture Plot" reveals the dishonesty in Darby's reprinted works. It's often hard to tell who wrote the footnotes and when. It's easy to believe that the notes, and also unsigned phrases inside brackets within the text, were a devious attempt by someone (Darby? his editor?) to portray a Darby far more developed in pretrib thinking than he actually had been at the time. I found that some of the "additives" had been taken from Darby's much later works, when he was more developed, and placed next to or inside his earliest works! One footnote by Darby's editor, attached to Darby's 1830 paper, actually stated that "it was not worth while either suppressing or changing" anything in this work! If his editor wasn't open to such dishonesty, how can we explain such a statement?
Post-1995 - Thomas Ice's article "Inventor of False Pre-Trib Rapture History" states that my book "The Rapture Plot" is "only one of the latest in a series of revisions of his original discourse...." And David Reagan in his article "The Origin of the Concept of a Pre-Tribulation Rapture" repeats Ice's falsehood by claiming that I have republished my first book "over the years under several different titles."
Although my book repeats a bit of the Macdonald origin of pretrib (for new readers), all of my books are packed with new material not found in my other works. For some clarification, "The Incredible Cover-Up" has photos of pertinent places in Ireland, Scotland, and England not found in my later books plus several chapters dealing with theological arguments; "The Great Rapture Hoax" quotes scholars throughout the Church Age, covers Scofield's hidden side, a section on Powerscourt, the 1980 election, the Jupiter Effect, Gundry's change, and more theological arguments; "The Rapture Plot" reveals for the first time the Great Evangelical Revisionism/Robbery and includes appendices on miscopying, plagiarism, etc.; and "The Three R's" shows hypocritical evangelicals employing occultic beliefs they say they have long opposed!
So Thomas Ice etc. are twisting truth when they claim I am only a revisionist. Do they really think that my publishers DON'T know what I've previously written?
Re arguments, Google "Pretrib Rapture - Hidden Facts" and also obtain "The End Times Passover" and "Why Christians Will Suffer 'Great Tribulation' " (AuthorHouse, 2006) by media personality Joe Ortiz.
1997 - For years Harvest House Publishers has owned and been republishing Lindsey's book "There's A New World Coming." During the same time Lindsey has been peddling his reportedly "new" book "Apocalyse Code" (1997), much of which is word-for-word the same as the Harvest House book - and there's no notice of "simultaneous publishing" in either book! Talk about pretrib greed!
1997 - This is the year I discovered that more than 50 pages of Dallas Seminary professor Merrill Unger's book "Beyond the Crystal Ball" (Moody Press, 1973) constituted a colossal plagiarism of Lindsey's "The Late Great Planet Earth" (1970). After Lindsey's book came out, Unger had complained that Lindsey's book had plagiarized his classroom lecture notes. It was evident that Unger felt that he too should cash in on his own lectures! (The detailed account of this Dallas Seminary dishonesty is revealed in my 1998 book "The Three R's.")
    1998 - Tim LaHaye's "Understanding the Last Days" (1998) plagiarized Lindsey's "There's A New World Coming" (1973).
1999 - More than 200 pages (out of 396 pages) in Lindsey's 1999 book "Vanished Into Thin Air" are virtually carbon copies of pages in his 1983 book "The Rapture" - with no "updated" or "revised" notice included! Lindsey has done the same nervy thing with several of his books, something that has allowed him to live in million-dollar-plus homes and drive cars like Ferraris! (See my Google articles "Deceiving and Being Deceived" and "Thieves' Marketing" for further evidence of this notably pretrib vice.)
2000 - A Jack Van Impe article "The Moment After" (2000) plagiarized Grant Jeffrey's book "Final Warning" (1995).
2001 - Since 2001 my web article "Walvoord's Posttrib 'Varieties' - Plus" has been exposing his devious muddying up of posttrib waters. In some of his books he invented four "distinct" and "contradictory" posttrib divisions, claiming that they are either "classic" or "semiclassic" or "futurist" or "dispensational" - distinctions that disappear when analyzed! His "futurist" group holds to a literal future tribulation and a literal millennium but doesn't embrace "any day" imminency. But his "dispensational" group has the same non-imminency! Moreover, tribulational futurism is found in every group except the first one, and he somehow admitted that a literal millennium is in all four groups! On the other hand, it's the pretribs who consistently disagree with each other over their chief points and subpoints - but somehow end up agreeing that there will be a pretrib rapture! (See my chapter "A House Divided" in my book "The Incredible Cover-Up.")
2001 - Since my "Deceiving and Being Deceived" web item which exposed the claims for Pseudo-Ephraem" and "Morgan Edwards" as teachers of pretrib, there has been a piranha-like frenzy on the part of pretrib bodyguards and their duped groupies to "discover" almost anything before 1830 walking upright on two legs that seemed to have at least a remote hint of pretrib! (An exemplary poster boy for such pretrib practice is Grant Jeffrey. To get your money's worth, Google "Wily Jeffrey.")

FINALLY: Don't take my word for any of the above. Read my 300-page book "The Rapture Plot" which has a jillion more documented details on the long-hidden but now-revealed history of the dishonest, 179-year-old, fringe-British-invented, American-merchandised-until-the-real-bad-stuff-happens pretribulation rapture fad. If this book of mine doesn't "move" you, I will personally refund what you paid for it!
