More Insights on "Maitreyan" mentality -- Hitler and Stalin not so bad?

In a recent post to my blogspot, I focussed on the latest New Age justification to fight world Jewry: They were, per Benjamin Creme, reincarnated Nazis. Therefore, anything done to Jews was only payback to the Nazis who persecuted Jews in World War II -- they had returned as Israeli Jews. Therefore, anything done to them was only their just desserts.

Now, Creme does not place the two greatest murderous dictators of the twentieth century anywhere near the perimeters of eternal punishment for their murderous misdeeds. Hitler, per Creme, is "in Purgatory." In Catholic theological terms for those accepting a doctrine of purgatory, it is a places where many Catholics believe people not quite ready for heaven go to purge their sins. Benjamin Creme reassures all that Hitler is there and hence in hope, even assurance, of an eventual place in heaven.

Stalin, per Creme, wasn't all that bad either. The following quote is taken from this link to Creme's free downloadable book The World Teacher for all Humanity:

"A. Yes, they are one and the same. Hitler is no longer in incarnation;
he is in what Christians would call purgatory. How long he will be there I have no idea, but a long time. There is a direct correlation with the evil effect that a person has through working with the forces of involution. The greater the impact of that in the world, the greater will be the karma of that person.
"There are some people who are not essentially evil, like Stalin. Stalin, who was a second-degree initiate, was not evil. He was sort of ‘grey’, not ‘black’. He was not essentially working with the same kind of energy. He was working for an ideal, for what he thought was for the benefit of Russia." (page 77)

As I am fighting "fire with fire" on the free downloadable book front, you may get a more complete copy of my books by going to this link and downloading the largest files for THE HIDDEN DANGERS OF THE RAINBOW and A PLANNED DECEPTION, this version with the appendices and index. I may be soon adding to HIDDEN DANGERS on line file to make sure the appendices are there as well -- I'm not presently sure they are on the typed manuscript which I reduced to pdf form and downloaded after being aware that Share International had made Benjamin Creme's incredibly evil books available on line for free.

Stay tuned!

    Hi Constance,

Thank you for providing your books for free, I have passed this information on to many. However, one of the reasons so many people are uniformed (other than that they choose to be) is that the world has everyone so tied up with just trying to make ends meet. Few people have the time to sit down and read a book anymore. I know your time is very precious, but have you thought of doing your books in audio, MP3, so people could download and listen whenever? While driving, at their desk, while they're cleaning house..... Some can't find time to read but people are always doing other things and often have unoccupied ears to hear what's going on.

It would be great if it was you that did the audio because you are a great public speaker and know the material so well, but if not, getting someone else to do it would work. Even if you could somehow convert your DVD's to audio for people to download. I know many people who find a hard time watching videos or reading books. When I loan out stuff, it's sometimes very hard to get them back in a timely manner because people just don't have the time to watch or read them, but audio is another story. Especially with the popularity of ipods.

It's just a suggestion. If I can help in some way, I'd be happy to do so.

    Shalom
    Suzette

Ps May I include a link to your download page on my website?

  3. Hi Suzette,

I have read some of the material into my computer to convert to mp3 form and I will continue working on that -- perhaps uploading file by file (chapter by chapter) as done rather than wait for complete project which is difficult to do when phones ring.) You certainly are free and even encouraged to put a link to my books and materials from your own website / blogspot.

I am re-reading a book I read years ago. The author is Claris Van Kuiken. Title is BATTLE TO DESTROY TRUTH. In it she relates her several-year fight to expose Madelein L'Engel's New Age philosophy to her church. The denomination she used to be part of, Christian Reformed Church had/has a thing for L'Engel. When Claris figured out what they were doing she thought they would appreciate her discovery that L'Engel was a deceiver. They fought her tooth and nail. She lost the fight. The pastor of her church at that time (Orland Park) appears to still be in charge. Now that was all twenty years ago. The New Age has prevailed. One thing I noticed in reading her book...Fundamentalists were the low men on the totem pole. Even, it seems, to the author.

Speaking of Hitler. It looks like Brzezinski who is not a cabinet member but seems to be weighing in heavily in the Obama administration is putting his two cents in on Iran.

    http://tinyurl.com/cjjkuu

It was also in today's Jerusalem Post. It's been an interesting week with Hillary in Middle East kissing everyone from Peres, to Netanyahu and holding Livni's hand. At the same time we know that Obama is going to Europe next month and Gordon Brown was spouting his New Economic Order philosophy all over the US.

Some of the Anglicans just joined the Vatican which is really interesting in terms of the One World Religious Order. The Europeans rushed to Brussels last weekend to see how they could bail out struggling East European nations.

In the meantime on the homefront Obama, because he doesn't have enough on his plate ( cough) wants to solve global warming, national healthcare.. and the Dow is making new all time lows.

Nassarellah went to visit Iran and the Rafik Hariri trial began in the World Tribunal in the Hague.

Global warming has been kind of forgotten about with blizzards in Eastern US, exceptionally cold temperatures all over the globe and Russia and Ukraine are having more disputes over the natural gas flowing through Ukraine.

It's just kind of fun to look at a snapshot of the World events in review. Oh, I forgot....the mother with the octuplets called 911 and was hysterical and threatening suicide... and Michael Jackson is making a comeback..

There's probably more, but that was just a quick 2 minute recap of things that stayed in my brain..

It hasn't been that long ago that many Christian Evangelicals had come to the conclusion that the "great whore of Babylon" was the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA . . .and NOT the Catholic Church.

The political empire in Daniel 2 is clearly connected to the Roman Empire because it is made of iron. If you remember there was Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome, and then we see the feet which are Rome as iron mixed with clay..which doesn't mix oddly enough.

With the formation of the EU, many believe that EU is a resurrected Roman Empire. Now the roots of the US are European at some level ( not to ignore the Native American Indians). EU has still elements of the other three empires. The Gates of Hell are in Berlin which was taken Babylon.. Europe is filled with elements from other pagan cultures, particularly ancient Greek mythology. Greek mythology factored heavily in the Roman Empire. Alexander the Great in his conquests brought many other pagan elements into the Greek Empire during his reign..

I tend to think Rome has influenced all of Western civilization, but the center of the Roman Emprie is the Mediterranean. Europe, thus the formation of the Mediterranean Union was very significant prophetically because it looks just like the old Roman Empire.

Rome is still central as far as its religious system. While the Proetestants, protested and split from Rome, mother church is still Rome, thus the center of the apostate religious system. The economic system is London, Switzerland, New York for the moment.

The question one must ask is what is babel? Babel is confusion.. It is the mixing of things in a system which seeks to rise up and be like God.. Any attempt to rise above God and His Word is the very confusion that comes from the garden and is part and parcel of Babylon. The tower of Babel sought to unite and build a tower that would reach to the heavens..

The United State's roots are EU. The Vatican, the Muslims, the Jews and many others are trying to make peace alliances and yet none of them are listening to God's Word, espcially as it concerns Israel which is central in God's redemption plan.

Personally, I think the Vatican is part of the apostate system but will not comprise all of it.. God says "come out of her".. so whatever it is, we need to get out...very important.

God called Israel out and set it apart to glorify His Name. Man has created various systems political, religious and financial that do not correspond with His Word..

  10. This should ring familiar to my friends here in Michigan, only this time its at the Federal level.

Congress OKs stopgap bill to keep government open

WASHINGTON – With a $410 billion catchall spending bill stalled in the Senate and a midnight deadline looming, Congress rushed through stopgap legislation Friday to keep the government running for another five days.

The House passed the bill by a 328-50 vote; the Senate acted by unanimous voice vote. President Barack Obama will sign the measure later Friday.

The stopgap measure was needed because on Thursday night, Senate Republicans unexpectedly put the brakes on the sweeping measure. The so-called omnibus bill would award domestic agencies with big spending increases and it also contains about 8,000 pet projects sought by lawmakers.

  12. Dear Sis. Constance:

I thank God for you in the Lord for your work on exposing the corruption and evil which are signs that the Lord is coming soon as Jesus said: “You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.” (Matt 16:3) Your faithfulness to God has allowed me to also study the New Age Movement and the Illuminati and to not only make more certain that I am ready to meet the Lord Jesus Christ, but also to share the same urgency with my family and my church. As a minister in the Church I am responsible for looking out for the sheep, and ever since I first picked up your book “Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow” in 1991, I have been able to discern the signs of Christ’s return more clearly.

Today I heard an interview with former Illuminati cult member, Svali, on Youtube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQ-DkS-XOOM. It is a 9-part series that takes approximately an hour and a half. As I do, Svali (who is now a born-again Christian) urges all Christians to pray for God to thwart the plans of the Illuminati. Based on the words of Jesus, interviews like Sis. Svali’s, books like “Hidden Dangers”, and the signs we have been witnessing in our economy, our courts and governments, our media, our school system and in Hollywood, I believe it is time acknowledge the existence of the New Age Movement and the Illuminati in America and turn our hearts towards God to prepare ourselves to meet Him in the rapture. We Christians have hope, and our hope is in Christ!

I am praying for you Sister Constance, and for your husband’s health. I will be using your blog as a source of news which has become more valuable to me than CNN. Praise the Lord!

The word "babel" - in Hebrew - means "to confound."

The attempt to build the Tower of Babel, with a goal to reach up to Heaven itself, resulted in the consequence (punishment for the sin of PRIDE) of becoming the home of many languages (in order to confound and/or confuse each other).

The United States of America is also the home of many languages.

The United States of America is also represented by the EAGLE --"the head of the Beast"?

The United Nations, headquartered in New York City is a coalition of nations. Like a LEOPARD with many different spots, the United States of America is a melting pot of generations of immigrants. Except for the American Indian, we are ALL immigrants, with our ancestors speaking many different languages.

Has the United States of America committed an "abomination" by trying to "build a tower" of greed and capitalism for themselves -- at the expense of the rest of the world?

Is the United States of America "the great whore of Babylon"?

Only God can answer that question.

Exploring many of the ideas and predictions in his New York Times Best-Seller, The Singularity is Near, the film focuses mostly on Kurzweil's world-wide speaking tour, as he describes a fast-approaching, radically different future in which we have merged with our computer creations, will overcome our mortality to live indefinitely, and will be billions of times more intelligent. Heavily criticized for being too optimistic about what the future will bring and how it will affect our lives, Ray challenges his detractors even further by publicly stating for the first time his goal of using future technologies to bring back his late father. Through twenty major cities and four continents, Ray Kurzweil leads the filmmakers and the audience on a quest to reveal not only our humanity, but ultimately, our destiny. Hi Constance,

As I was doing research looking for "crossovers" between the "left wing" and the "right wing" of the New Age Movement, I came across something interesting and wondered if you had heard of it.

It is the story of Savitri Devi.

    SAVITRI DEVI

Savitri Devi Mukherji (September 30, 1905, Lyon, France — October 22, 1982, Essex, England) was the pseudonym of the French writer Maximiani Portaz,.

She became enamoured with Hinduism and Nazism, trying to synthesise the two, and proclaiming Adolf Hitler an avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu. Her writings have influenced neo-Nazism and Nazi mysticism. Although mystical in her conception of Nazism, Savitri Devi saw Nazism as a practical faith that did not need metaphysics. Among Savitri Devi's ideas was the classifications of "men above time", "men in time" and "men against time". She is credited with pioneering neo-Nazi interest in occultism, Deep Ecology, and the New Age movement. She influenced the Chilean diplomat Miguel Serrano. In 1982, Francisco Freda published a German translation of her work Gold in the Furnace, and the fourth volume of his annual review, Risguardo (1980-), was devoted to Savitri Devi as the "missionary of Aryan Paganism".

Her works, in conjunction with those of Julius Evola, have been major influences on the Libertarian National Socialist Green Party and activist Bill White. Far-rightist Italian and self-described "Nazi Maoist" Claudio Mutti was influenced by reading her work Pilgrimage as an idealistic teenager. As a young bodyguard for Colin Jordan, David Myatt enthusiastically embraced the values expressed in her work The Lightning and the Sun. In the U.S., James Mason (whose Universal Order bears a strong resemblance to the sentiments of Savitri Devi) paid tribute to her in his work, Siege. Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme of the Charles Manson group has endorsed The Lightning and the Sun. Revilo P. Oliver wrote that he saw the potentiality of a future religion venerating Adolf Hitler "in the works of a highly intelligent and learned lady of Greek ancestry, Dr. Savitri Devi."

She was also one of the founding members of the World Union of National Socialists.

    And

    ESOTERIC NAZISM

According to Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke, "Serrano follows the Gnostic tradition of the Cathars (fl. 1025-1244) by identifying the evil demiurge as Jehovah, the God of the Old Testament. As medieval dualists, these eleventh-century heretics had repudiated Jehovah as a false god and mere artificer opposed to the real God far beyond our earthly realm. This Gnostic doctrine clearly carried dangerous implications for the Jews. As Jehovah was the tribal deity of the Jews, it followed that they were devil worshipers. By casting the Jews in the role of the children of Satan, the Cathar heresy can elevate anti-Semitism to the status of a theological doctrine backed by a vast cosmology. If the Hyperborean Aryans are the archetype and blood descendents of Serrano's divyas from the Black Sun, then the archetype of the Lord of Darkness needed a counter-race. The demiurge sought and found the most fitting agent for its archetype in the Jews".

As religious scholars Frederick C. Grant and Hyam Maccoby emphasize, in the view of the dualist Gnostics, "Jews were regarded as the special people of the Demiurge and as having the special historical role of obstructing the redemptive work of the High God's emissaries". Serrano thus considered Hitler as one of the greatest emissaries of this High God, rejected and crucified by the tyranny of the Judaicized rabble like previous revolutionary light-bringers. Serrano had a special place in his ideology for the SS, who, in their quest to recreate the ancient race of Aryan god-men, he thought were above morality and therefore justified, after the example of the anti-humanitarian "detached violence" taught in the Aryo-Hindu Bhagavad Gita.

    The collective Aryan unconscious

In the book Black Sun, Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke reports how C.G. Jung described "Hitler as possessed by the archetype of the collective Aryan unconscious and could not help obeying the commands of an inner voice."

Israel's very existence is racist. Israel is the Jewish state for the Jewish nation, and notwithstanding substantial indigenous minorities, it is inherently racist because one can only become an Israeli by virtue of being a Jew or possessing "Jewish Lineage". This is undemocratic, unegalitarian, racist and discriminatory.

All countries are social constructions and Israel is no exception. We must socially construct a new multi-faith country according to the universal human principle of multi-ethnicity. The god of the Old Testament who promised the Jews the land of Israel is clearly a "Blood and Soil" racist doctrine. "Israel" and the West Bank and the Gaza strip must be unified into a new country, like Bosnia, called Palestine, dedicated to the virtues and strength of diversity and tolerance.

There's an off the wall character in the Jewish community named Rabbi Yonassan Gershom.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yonassan_Gershom

It turns out he was ordained by a Reconstructionist, a very New Age Jewish operation. In his books he also has very strange reincarnation theories, the one about Hitler similar to the one Creme speaks of.

    http://www.pinenet.com/~rooster/bta-faq1.html

In his book, Beyond the Asher, Gershom writes of a dream he had where he meets Hitler who breaks down crying because of how he is remembered. In the dream a van arrives and a dark-skinned man, a retarded boy and an old woman in a wheelchair come to take Hitler to the next level.

Gershom is no organizational New Ager. He is someone trying to blend things that don't blend. What else can you do if you want to be a non-judgmental New Ager who has to try and make sense of Hitler. Of course he got a big hearing in the New Age community. They like validating themselves.

And that's where the New Age movement is so dangerous. Whoever is leader at the time determines what is right and wrong as befits the enlightened god they have become. Gershom and Creme have come to different definitions while following the same system. Now what?

    to Anonymous,
US certainly does appear to have the financial elements of Babylonian system but our system originated in Europe/Roman Empire. I tend to think there are global aspects of the last empire, but we cannot deny the Roman roots which is what the iron part of Daniel's statue signifies.

When Nimrod built the tower of Babel ( EU headquarters symbol) his goal was to reach the heavens and all the world spoke the same language, so it was financial because he took the mortar and bricks to build it, spiritual because he wanted to go to the heavens and cultural/political because he disobeyed God's command to multiply and fill the earth.

Deut. 32:8 “aWhen the Most High gave the nations their inheritance,
When He separated the sons of 1man,
He set the boundaries of the peoples
bAccording to the number of the sons of Israel.

If the boundaries of the nations are determined in accordance with the number of the sons of Israel, which is a very interesting verse then why do you suppose the world is going to turn on Israel? I have my own answer to this, but think about it..

Why would God determine the boundaries of the nations in accordance with the number of sons of Israel. In Exodus there are 70 sons of Israel that go into Egypt. They come out a large mixed multitude. There are 70 nations in the book of Genesis descending from Shem, Ham and Japeth. In the end of Exodus we see this verse:

Ex. 15:27 Then they came to Elim where there were twelve springs of water and seventy date palms, and they camped there beside the waters.

The 12 tribes were supposed to bring the living water to the nations.

Ex. 1:5 All the persons who came from the loins of Jacob were seventy in number, but Joseph was already in Egypt.

Israel was to be the light to the nations and bring the living water that flows from the throne of God and will give life to the nations.

Disobedience is building another system, be it political, religious or economic, that defies God's commands and seeks to elevate itself above God. You are right in saying babel is confusion. God gave us very simple instructions and somehow because we managed to create confusion out of it, because mankind is still listening to the snake who says, "did God really say?"

All of what we are suffering from in our world today is the consequences of refusing to listen to God's Word. Yeshua redeemed us. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, but mankind is still saying, "did God really say?"

If we would just listen to His voice...

  34. thanks to all who are volunteering to help with the radio time! I had a call tonight from an Alabama AM radio station. They said they had heard Dr. Monteith and I talk on the air. They called Dr. Monteith to see if I had a radio program and Dr. Monteith said, "yes." They called me and I gave them Joe McNeil's number at the Microeffect.com. Joe called me and asked for permission to give my archives to the radio station with permission to rebroadcast. Joe also told me about the listener support. He apologized saying he told the audience last night that I had needs which I have usually kept to my self. I left the name of the station on my notes at the office (as well as office caller ID). The station manager who called was a Christian who said he felt things could be very close indeed.

    Thanks to all of you!

  35. Madeline L'Engel was a regular part of James Parks Morton (close David Spangler associate) operation at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in NYC. She was most definitely a New Ager. I was surprised a few years later to find that she was close to some allegedly Christian publishers in Wheaton, Illinois (also the home of the Theosophical Society.) The publisher she was close to was named as I recall "Shaw." I would love to see the Claris Van Kuiken book as I was not previously aware of it.

I must admit I smiled, even chuckled at your weekly recap. I heard on the radio this morning that the EU would not bail out the Eastern European countries which probably fits in with the population reduction goals of the New World Order.

  37. Donations needed for Constance Radio show!

Constance's radio show needs donations to keep it up and running. Please join us by donating what you can to assist Constance on Microeffect.com.

I feel that all of us that blog on her site and continually talk with Constance asking her for her thoughts and opinions which she gives us free of charge, should assist her with donations for her radio show.

I have been so impressed with Constance and her giving nature. Constance has never been about gaining wealth only about getting the message of warning out. She is even now giving her books away for Free!

It is rare to find and expert like her on any subject that will chat with you and have interaction free of charge the way she does. Most just write their data in a book and want you to buy it and are not accessible like she is. (If you get to talk to them at all, they charge for their time!)

I feel all of us that use Constance as a sounding board and communicate with her, or just come to this site for free data should want to assist with donations. Constance is always so willing to give to us of her time and expertise continually for free. It is time we show our true appreciation.

Please help us get the needed donations to keep Constance on the air this month and all future months. If all of us that respect Constance chipped in a little each month together we can make a huge difference.

Thanks to all of you loving, giving souls that have donated, you are setting examples of true Christ-like Charity. God Bless You All!

Please see above posts for how to donate.

  38. Joyce,

You might do well to examine the anti-Clerical elements of the European order which has by and large been as hostile to the Catholics as well as fundamentalist/evangelical elements. The Holy See was long ago denied any participation in the European Union. I think it is more than possible that "the prince of the covenant" which the prophesied dictator of Daniel takes could very well be war on the Catholic Church and taking down the Pope. You would do well to study the history of Mexico from 1926-1935, the history of Costa Rico, the history of "republican Spain" in the 1930's. The Catholic Church took intense persecution. It was Hitler's firm intent to wipe the Catholics out after he was done with the Jews who were the smallest and the weakest. It does not appear to me as though the Catholic Church will be a powerhouse in the EU -- at least in the form Javier Solana is presently shaping.

  39. To Pastor Greg Davis,

I was so very greatly encouraged by your kind post. Yes, it is time we all awoke to the seriousness of our times. The day is fast approaching when as it was prophesied, the Spirit of God would not always strive with man. The day is coming when God will say, "it is finished -- let he who is righteous be righteous still, let he who is filthy be filthy still."

We dare not be on the wrong side of THAT 'digital divide."

  40. British Israelism certainly is an unbiblical teaching. There were elements of commingling between it and the New Age Movement -- particularly in the pre WWII days. Richard Gilman and I did some serious research on it in the 1980s. The Social Credit Movement and British Israelism often converged. There were other things, but I would have to refresh my memory now. It's been a number of years since I have looked at those materials.

    More sad news:

    http://tinyurl.com/cclbjn

On ABC news there was the claiming the "right to die act" and Obama has reversed stem cell research. It looks like this idea of us being "like God" brings death. Stem cells from embryos, and assisted suicide..

    http://abcnews.go.com/health

Our right to chose, when to die, whether to keep a baby or not is like saying man is God in the same way this weeks court decision on the battle over homosexual marriage in California is highlighting homosexual rights to call anything they want marriage. It is very interesting that Satan seems to deceive in the areas that really relate to God's creation.. the subtle lie, or maybe not so subtle lie is that "man is God".

The snake lied saying "you can be like God" but we were already man in God's image and likeness, so we really didn't need the snake. The snakes lie brought us into contact with death. Chosing life, or pro-life is chosing to eat of the Tree of Life, which represents the Word of God and the Living Word, Yeshua. The great lie is that we can control life and death, while the Bible says that God is the one who gave us life:

Gen. 2:7 Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and bman became a living being.

and God created us male and female:

Gen. 2:22 The LORD God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man.

When we obey God, we are chosing to partake of life and when we disobey, that brings us into contact with death. It's that simple.

It all goes back to chosing to believe truth and eating of that which is life-giving.

Not to mention the perils Delessen faces!
Delessen said: "Israel" and the West Bank and the Gaza strip must be unified into a new country, like Bosnia, called Palestine, dedicated to the virtues and strength of diversity and tolerance.
Have you not heard of the doctrines of Demons?
You really think that there is diversity in those surrounding countries?
Check out these links and ask yourself what is wrong with this picture?
Islam: religion of peace? If the United States of America abandoned all hostilities toward any Islamic country and if America’s influence in said countries was withdrawn there would still be Radical Islamic terror attacks. There is so much fear of Islam, there is so much love of oil money, that we have invited a culture of death to a perverse symbiotic relationship that hold America hostage. The political will to change this situation will depend on just what further terrorism befalls us. Israel is a type of Canary in the mine, but will the USA sell Israel out? Believing that Israel is the problem is like killing the Canary before the gas does.
Anyone who doubts these things need only check out these links.

Is Islam a religion of peace? Take a stab at some of these links. Are we safe? Is America being held hostage for the love of money, or for the fear of what it will take to confront the danger?

    Constance,
I am very much aware of EU's position of not putting language about the "Christian origins" of EU into the EU Constitution, however....

If you look at the political power of the Vatican, you will notice that they have enormous power worldwide. The decisions about Jerusalem will be decided with the "help" of the Vatican. Shimon Peres first official act as President of Israel, a very questionable ascent to President according to Israelis that I know, was to go visit the Pope. Tony Blair before taking over as special envoy to the Middle East for the Quartet converted to Catholicism. The timing was rather odd. On the heals of that he establishes his Faith Foundation. A Common Word, which started the interfaith dialogue between Christians and Muslims started because of the pope's remarks at Regensberg.

Presidents and heads of state, most of whom are not Catholic, bow down before the Pope. The Vatican has an enormous political influence in Europe in spite of the fact that Europeans are not very religious nowadays. The EU cannot completely ignore this.

I agree there is always this very strong tension between the secular forces in EU who claim to not want any religious involvement in the political affairs of Europe and the the Catholic Church. There is a lot more going on here than meets the eye. The secular forces are masonic, and some of the masons, particularly the French lodges are known for their secularism, although there are lodges run by Catholics too.

There is also the very real power of Islam in the EU which is probably one of the other reasons why EU so strongly opposes using the term "Christian". This is probably as much a part of the argument as anything else. Europe is at the point where anything they do for the "Christians" they will have to do equally for the Muslims, thus rules against Muslim headscarfs in school and crosses and yamakas.

Most EU nations have as much as 10 percent of their populations Muslim and now with sharia banking coming in and Muslims in the governments of some of these countries, like Belgium, it is much complex situation. Of course the EU created this monster years ago when they wanted cheap labor from places like North Africa and the cheap labor stayed and had babies, then the illegals came, etc. Those large populations are like bombs waiting to explode in the EU...You have heard the expression Eurabia.

Europeans, have a deep sense of history and really are aware of the problems "religion" has created in their history. Since the Enlightenment it has become much more acceptable to be openly secular than religious, but that doesn't change the fact that there are many nominal Catholics throughout the EU that at some level do identify with their Catholic roots even if they do nothing about them.

What I see going on is the meshing of all these religious influences. It is a mistake to think that the mainline large religious leaders will not be a part of spiritual Bablyon. "Come out of her my people" suggests that it is precisely that which we will have to leave. I happen to think the Vatican is one of the leaders of this religious Babylon, but it is not exclusive by any means. We are seeing mainline Protestant denominations merging with Catholicism as well as Muslims through the ongoing religious dialogue.

Those of us who are believers in the God of the Bible will need to keep our eyes on His Word because the leaders of our various organizations, may or may not be keeping an eye on Scripture. We need to not depend on others for the relationship that God gave to us individually. We will stand before Him one day and give an account.

If you are bringing up British-Israelism with regards to my beliefs ( not sure but you have before) I just have to tell you that I reject wholeheartedly Britism-Israelism, but unfortunately in many lies there are elements of truth. This is British-Israelism, and I utterly reject it:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Israelism
    http://tinyurl.com/hps4j

I will not say any more or any less than what Scriptures says..because that leads to error. I don't know who or where the 10 tribes went when they were scattered. They started out in Assyria, but beyond that we can only speculate and I certainly don't believe they are British royalty.

The truth is that the 15million Jews in the world do not represent ALL Israel and this can be proven from the Scriptures. Orthodox Jews, for the most part realize this. The Northern Kingdom exile into Assyria was 800 years roughly before Yeshua. The Southern Kingdom went into exile 500 years approximately before Yeshua and came back 70 years later.

The Northern tribes both historically and Biblically speaking did not return, but there are future promises about their restoration throughout all of the prophets. If you can point to a time in history or in the Bible where they corporately returned then you can say the Jews are ALL Israel, but factually speaking it's simply not true.

We have to understand what the terms mean i.e. the House of Israel is Northern Kingdom, Ephraim is Northern Kingdom. all Israel or the whole House of Israel is exactly that ALL Israel. Judah, or the Southern Kingdom or the Jews is Judah, Benjamin Levi, with some possible crossing over from Northern tribes. This can be found clearly marked in the Bible. . For those who are interested, study carefully the transition from Solomon to his son Rehoboam and the book of Hosea. The whole book of Kings describes the break up and subsequent exiles of the two kingdoms. If you read carefully you will begin to see that the destinies of Judah and the House of Israel ( 10 tribes) was different.

This is a very strong theme throughout Scripture, which if you don't see it will necessarily affect the way you view Israel, the nations, etc. Jews today represent only a small fraction of Israel that God is restoring. The restoration will come through the spreading of the gospel to the four corners of the earth, not through some racist business in the British Empire. I do not believe that Jeremiah fled to Ireland either, which British Israelism also teaches. At least there is no evidence of that and from that they try to make a succession of Kings that came from Judah. The monarchy are the not the descendants of Israel who will "sit on the throne of David" forever.. I think these are some of the errant teachings of British Israelism. I do think these teachings could lead people into deception if the antimessiah happens to claim lineage from David, which I believe some of the European royalty do claim, including the British Royal family. There are probably hidden Israelites and Jews throughout the whole world.

Interestingly, the truth is that we do not know where the Northern Tribes went, but we do know that they were scattered. They didn't obey Torah, thus lost their identity as Israel. This is part of the problem. They were unrecognizable even to themselves and assimilated easily in the pagan nations. Besides that God said He would do this to them. That's what the whole book of Hosea is about. It is the exile and then restoration of Ephraim. If you read it very attentively you will notice that Judah had a different destiny.

Many fringe groups like the Mormons claim things about this. The Bible simply says they didn't come back. The Jewish historian Josephus from the 1st century said that they were somewhere beyond the "Sambatyon" a mystical river i.e. we don't know where they are, but there is an understanding of this among Orthodox Jews. Here is one of their sites that is kind of interesting:

    http://tinyurl.com/b624oj

Some Jewish groups believe that Manassah is in India, some believe the Pashtuns, a Muslim group in Afghanistan are the lost tribes. God said He would gather them:

Is. 11:12 And He will lift up a astandard for the nations And bassemble the banished ones of Israel, And will gather the dispersed of Judah From the four corners of the earth.

You notice in the verse He says He will gather BOTH Israel and Judah.

    In Amos He says:

Amos 9:9 “For behold, I am commanding, And I will shake the house of Israel among all nations As grain is shaken in a sieve, But not a 1kernel will fall to the ground. This verse is a specific reference to the Northern Kingdom.. "the house of Israel" .. .

A lot of people miss this and I did early on when I started reading the Bible, but once you study and see the distinction and pay attention to the names used to describe Judah v.s. Ephraim ( the tribe that led the Northern rebellion) you will have a clearer overview on God's prophetic plan as He gathers Israel from the four corners of the earth, along with the nations.

It is the gospel going out to the nations that will bring back the "lost sheep".. Remember Yeshua said He came for the "lost sheep of the House of Israel". That meant a very specific thing to His followers who were from Judah. If you notice, much of Yeshua's ministry took place in the areas of Ephraim, but eventually He sent His disciples to Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the ends of the earth because God can never forget His people, even those whom He punished:

    Is. 49:6 He says, “It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the apreserved ones of Israel;
I will also make You a blight of the nations
So that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”

Since there is no idle word in the Scriptures we want to pay careful attention when God says Judah, or God says Ephraim. Sometimes God calls Israel Israel and sometimes Jacob.. there is always a reason for this.

Someone sent me this verse the other day and it's perfect. If God could forget the lost sheep of the House of Israel, then could He not forget those from the nations too? Today's Torah portion teaches how God had the high priest, put two stones on his shoulder with the names of the sons of Israel, and gems on their breast piece for each of the tribes of Israel, so that the tribes would be remembered before Him FOREVER..

The problem is when we read the Bible and God says FOREVER, we don't believe Him at His Word.

We must understand that Israel is His treasured possession and while God chastises those He loves, He never forgets them. Thankfully, because we'd all be in trouble.

When we understand God's grace towards Israel, we
will see the prophetic picture more accurately, I believe. That's why I keep bringing it up here, not because I like repeating myself.

If I am saying something that is not clearly written in black and white in the Scriptures, I accept any criticism, but when something is written so clearly and repeated over and over again, I will keep pointing out until a few people get it. Our way of thinking about the Bible sometimes prevents us from just reading what is there in black and white. It's actually amazing how that works..and we all do it.

Oh, apropos to today's Torah portion, I believe God is building His called-out assembly with living stones...which He is building into a spiritual house. I do not believe that Yeshua's assembly is going to be any established organization, but rather the remnant gathered because they have "come out of the Babylonian religious system". God is not interested in our man-made religons.. He is interested in dwelling among His people... the sheep that hear His voice.

If I talk about this a lot it is to underline prophetically what we can expect to unfold in the last days. If we can see this, we will be listening carefully to God's voice and will walk with Him. I spend a lot of time talking about this because Abba gave it to me and made it clear that I am to share it with others, those who will listen. If you go and look in your Bibles you will find it for yourselves. I'm not making it up! I could fill the blog up with Scripture references that are extremely clear.

What a piece of work Benjamin Creme is !
He claims to know where the WWII Nazis
went after their death, which makes him
privy to Gods own judgements and Gods'
insight into the human heart. And unlike
anyone else in the whole world he
somehow knows what's in the hearts of the
people who are trying to govern Israel.
I guess it all goes along with being a
god yourself eh Mr Creme ?
Of all the rational for hating the Jews
that has been thrown out there over
the ages, this one has got to be the
    most transparently ridiculous and
    hateful.
I guess the old Hitlerian approach
never goes out of style: Why tell a
small, believable lie when you can
tell a huge ridiculous one ?

  47. Joyce,

I am very cynical about Tony Blair's "conversion" to any true form of Christianity. Catholic Church included. He spoke as keynote speaker at Doug Coe's annual event in Washington, D.C. That would have been "Fellowship Foundation" / "International Foundation" / "The Family" / the "Prayer Breakfast Network' / "National Prayer Breakfast" or whatever they are calling themselves this week. As we now know, that Christian veneered organization has at least severely compromised with the New Age. My educated guess is they are NEW AGE with all of its ugly AGENDA and RAMIFICATIONS. Blair and his wife are HARD CORE NEW AGE INITIATES, having gone through a pagan / New Age rebirthing ceremony in Mexico a few years ago. His speech in Washington on February 5, 2009 could not have been more New Age! It is well established that Paul N. Temple the most visible New Ager in a position of co-power with Doug Coe has sympathetic ties with the worst of the worst of the New Agers / globalists / New World Order folks. If you read any Alice Bailey at all, you will know they have the Vatican equally in sight along with Jerusalem for total destruction. In fact, she/he/it (DK) even call for possible use of the atomic bomb on it. (p. 548, Externalisation of the Hierarchy.) Here is a recent NGWS list of organizations in that devilish network. 48. I just peeked in on A SLICE OF LADEOCEA and found this significant and disturbing piece which indicates what last day Christians are up against:

"UK Parents Face Prosecution For Removing Children From Gay School Play

    Mar 06 by Ingrid Schlueter

American parents, if you want a vision of the hell that results when those with a moral compass allow the homo-fascists take over a nation, take a look at the terrible state of the UK. (Actually, Massachusetts is already nearly there. Visit MassResistance.org for the latest info.)

Several parents are facing prosecution for removing their children from a homo-pervert version of a school play called “Romeo and Julian.” These are not high schoolers, friends, these are little children who are expected to view this filth without complaint. The heroic parents of 30 children pulled them for the day. The nanny state of the UK, however, says that’s not allowed. You MUST allow nazi-style homosexual indoctrination of your little ones or face legal consequences. This is a vision of statism that our President would like to see implemented in America. But I have news for Mr. Obama: You won’t get it without a revolution on your hands. Children belong to parents, not the state. Hats off to the handful of UK parents that understand that and who are willing to fight to protect their children in the midst of British Sodom."

You can reach it by clicking the link to the right of my blogspot column.

    Setterman,
Islam is certainly NOT a religion of peace. There are poor people that end up being Muslims as a function of the country they are born in and know nothing of Islam, and then there are those that read and believe the Quran. Those that are victims of this darkness need to hear the truth of the Gospel.. The others chose willingly, and are simply operating under the power of the evil one, and believe all the verses about killing Jews and Christians. They represent a minority, but even a minority of a religion of a billion and a half people is a lot of people.

There are many today coming from Islam to Yeshua, but we will never hear this on the news because it is simply not the UN's agenda.

    Constance,

I understand what the Alice Bailey agenda is..having said that if you look at every and any interfaith, ecumenic organization, the Catholic Church is always involved. I was just about post something very interesting from Jerusalem Academy when I read your post:

This is from the infamous H.E. Bendikt's Jerusalem Academy:

Now, they are sharing their grounds which are near Yad Vashem, very expensive Jerusalem real estate with this group:

Quite a few people from Tantur Center are from this group:

Look carefully at the leadership of Fosna:

As I have posted several times before and will post again, here is the the Churches for Middle East Peace site, with plenty of Catholic and ecumenic participation:

Sabeel which is FOSNA is a partner.. Now let's look at the other partners:

This group, which is indirectly linked to Jerusalem Academy and is comprised of Catholic and mainline traditional Protestant Churches, most of whom have gone completely liberal in their doctrine, also believes in a SHARED JERUSALEM:

    http://www.cmep.org/SharedJER/Resource.htm

Desmond Tutu is also connected to Jerusalem Academy...

Everyone take a careful look at these links. The Templar organization...anyone remember them from the old days?

and are we surprised that they support the UN?

Friends of Sabeel ( Fosna) are happy about Obama and George Mitchell:

    http://www.fosna.org/content/obama-raises-hope

FOSNA also has ties to the Council on American Islamic Relations:

Apropos to Settermans comments...we should be very suspicious of FOSNA, and Tantur, and H.E.B.

Remember, it's not just the Palestinian Muslims that hate Israel, most of the Palestinian Christians do too, with some very rare exceptions.

VATICAN CONFERENCE ON EVOLUTION SPURS CRITICISM

The Pontifical Gregorian University will host a series of scientific meetings on the origin of life and its evolution, for five days, a move meant to mark 150years since the death of British naturalist Charles Darwin, the one who first proposed that theory of evolution.
But the organizers have not invited the very organizations and groups that share his beliefs on how things evolved, those proposing intelligent design and creationism.
These organizations ad groups have protested the Vatican's decision, but organizers have said that they wanted a truly scientific and theological debate, and not endless fights between two equally-sized groups.
The US John Templeton Foundation, a non-profit organization, has partially funded the meetings. As a group, it vehemently opposes the idea of intelligent design (ID), and the Discovery Institute has used that in its protest, saying that it was not invited to attend simply because it strongly advocates the idea of ID. This is adopted by those who believe that some of the things going on in the world today are simply too complex to be explained through a process such as evolution alone, and that a higher being, regardless of its name, has had a part to play in the creation of the world and the Universe as we know them.....

    http://tinyurl.com/bl737h

Unless the article has misrepresented the facts here, I must ask how can you have a truly "scientific and theological debate" if the representatives of one of the two sides of said debate have not been invited to participate???

Something is wrong with this picture! Is this a case of another Catholic University "going south?"

I,for one, would like to know just WHO the critters are at Gregorian that organized this partially Templeton-funded fiasco!!!

When it comes to Biblical interpretation, I am not a strict literalist.

Nevertheless, in the last analysis, the Bible has told us THAT God created and the order in which He created, not HOW God created. If someone wants to believe in six literal days I don't have a problem with that...LOL...if only because I wasn't an eye witness.

I AM a firm believer in Intelligent Design (a.k.a. ID).....key word here being BELIEVER.

What we are talking about here is a matter of faith. Fossils and bones do not interpret themselves. They are interpreted by people.

And as the late great C.S. Lewis once rightly pointed out:

"What you get from your experience depends upon the beliefs you bring to your experience."

The situation is NOT the other way around as in the case of critters like Hans Kung who advocate "doing theology from below."

If, from the outset, a scientist or archaeologist assumes a view of reality that precludes the supernatural and miraculous - including Intelligent Design and "creation ex niihilo" ("from nothing") - he is hardly likely include God in any "scientific" discussions.

Another thing that really ticks me off is the insult to my intelligence by those who insist on falsely serving up the THEORY of evolution as if it were a scientifically demonstrated fact.

No one has conclusively come up with the so-called "missing link" which is defined in terms of that particular ape-like "animal" into which God supposedly infused a rational soul.

As a final thought here, we Catholics do not HAVE to believe in the theory of evolution - not even if the Pope were to say he personally believed in it.

    Dear Constance,

Thank you for your kind words.

Dorothy Margraff and you are LIGHT YEARS ahead of me in your knowledge of the New Age Movement.

It is not surprising to learn that Dorothy is so tuned in to Savitri Devi.

To repeat what I have said on previous occasions, my interest in Savitri Devi was in terms of what I have been describing as "crossovers" between the so-called "left wing' and "right wing" of the New Age Movement.

The "right wing" which has been my "specialty," so to speak is often not perceived as "New Age."

I have recently learned from the research I have just described that Savitri Devi was also an admirer of Rene Guenon who was associated with REGNABIT - a satellite of the Hieron du Val d'Or.

Savitri's admiration for Guénon is especially evident in her Souveniers et réflexions d'une Aryenne (written between 1968 and 1971), in which she quotes approvingly from five of Guénon's books, as well as from Evola's Chevaucher le tigre.

    http://tinyurl.com/az5v5t

One of the co-founders of the Hieron du Val d'Or was a Spanish nobleman named Baron Alexis de Sarachaga who also had ties to members of the Russian nobility. His signet ring which was said to represent the pagan goddess Cybele was bequethed to Paul Le Cour - who, as has been stated before, was also reportedly a Martinist.

FYI According to the book FULCANELLI: A MASTER EXPOSED, it was a man named Pierre Dujols who originally introduced Paul Le Cour to the Hieron du Val d'Or.

See pp. 5-6 in the following link.

    http://www.scribd.com/doc/
    7953901/Fulcanelli-A-
    Master-Exposed

Dujols was involved with Rene Schwaller de Lubicz, and allegedly the alchemist known as "Fulcanelli" in addition to some very shady occult groups in Paris.

There may be a commingling between British Israelism and the "esoteric Christian" wing of the Traditionalist School embodied in the Hieron du Val d'Or vis a vis the "Celtic" traditions they seemed to focus on......i,e,Druids, Templars, Avalon, Arthurian and "Holy Grail" myths, etc.

It is also to be observed in terms of possible New Age "crossovers" that Scotland is not only the location of Findhorn which is regarded by many as the "Vatican" of the New Age Movement, but Rosslyn Chapel in Edinburgh, Scotland is also a focal point of the "Grail" myths as well as the "Grail trail" of the Knights Templar who were not suppressed by Robert the Bruce who was said to be already excommunicated when the Templar suppression order came from Rome and therefore had nothing to lose by allowing the Templars to continue to exist in his territory.

While I have been a Christian for many years, I have just within the last several months learned some of the headway being made by the UN, Alliance of Civilization, etc. I found Tony Blair's Faith Foundation of great concern and believe it is a likely vehicle that will move the world towards a global religion. I was very stunned when I looked at some of the men on his board, such as Rick Warren and a Baptist Minister (who I never heard of)...I have been uncomfortable with Warren for many years, his seeker sensitive approach to church has proven disasterous (in my opinion)...this just further illustrates he is a wolf in sheeps clothing, discernment is desperately needed, II Peter warns that false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will scretly bring in destructive heresies...

Smart Grid: Government spying targets Rural America
    Text size
    RFD America
    March 7, 2009

I’ve been reading the stimulus bill. When I saw the term Smart Grid on page 232 of the “American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009,” I stopped reading so fast I almost gave myself whiplash. If you haven’t heard about Smart Grid, listen up. Smart Grid is closely related to the National Animal Identification System (NAIS), and both programs are designed to spy on Americans. Even more disturbing than the purpose of these government-condoned intrusions into our lives is the fact that the Obama Administration feels that Smart Grid is so important that it had to be funded in the stimulus package—which is supposed to be used for emergencies only. What’s the emergency? Why does Smart Grid need to be implemented within 60 days of the bill passing? Here come the answers, and none of them are good.

    What is Smart Grid?

Smart Grid is part of a global initiative to manage information, all information. This is not some dire fictional prediction; it exists right now, right here in the United States, and thanks to President Obama, the Secretary of the Treasury can lend the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), a division of the Department of Energy, $3.25 billion to implement Smart Grid:

“(B) the Secretary shall, without further appropriation and ‘without fiscal year limitation, loan to the Western Area Power Administration, on such terms as may be fixed by the Administrator and the Secretary, such sums (not to exceed, in the aggregate (including deferred interest),$3,250,000,000-in outstanding repayable balances at anyone time) as, in the judgment of the Administrator, are from time to time required for the purpose of [...] In carrying out the initiative, the Secretary shall provide financial support to smart grid demonstration projects in urban, suburban, tribal, and rural areas, including areas where electric system assets are controlled by nonprofit entities and areas where electric system assets are controlled by investor- owned utilities.

Ostensibly, Smart Grid is about energy efficiency and climate change. This intelligent power grid gathers information about individual energy use via sensors embedded in the transmission lines and in homes and businesses. The government, via WAPA, will know what temperature you keep your home or business at. If you keep your domicile warmer or cooler than the temperature approved by the federal government, you pay more. To some, this is an acceptable arrangement, until they discover what else Smart Grid can do.

Did you catch that? Smart Grid will allow the government to collect information about you, your habits, and possessions. All they need are a few sensors to know what is in your refrigerator; how long you spend in the bathroom; if you smoke in your home; if you drink alcohol in your home; and how many people are in your home or business at any one time. Science fiction? Don’t bet on it. IBM knows different.

And if the above statements aren’t enough to get you thinking, how about this:

Nanotechnology e-textiles for biomonitoring and wearable electronics-
If current research is an indicator, wearable electronics will go far beyond just very small electronic devices or wearable, flexible computers. Not only will these devices be embedded in textile substrates but an electronics device or system could ultimately become the fabric itself. Electronic textiles (e-textiles) will allow the design and production of a new generation of garments with distributed sensors and electronic functions. Such e-textiles will have the revolutionary ability to sense, act, store, emit, and move – think biomedical monitoring functions or new man-machine interfaces – while ideally leveraging an existing low-cost textile manufacturing infrastructure.

Here’s the scenario: you buy a pair of socks, using your credit or debit card (cash is already being discouraged). Because of Smart Grid, your house will be able to read the bar code on those socks as you bring them through the door and add them to a list it keeps of your clothes; size, price, origin, when worn, etc. The computer that controls your home’s thermostat and lights also controls your wardrobe, budget, social habits, and even your eating habits. The refrigerator reads the bar codes on your food. Someone with access to that information knows when you eat, what you eat, what you paid for it, and how long something has been in the fridge.

If you’re like me, and do a lot of canning, you’re probably thinking, “so what?” That’s what my initial thought was. It can’t read a bar code if there isn’t one. Hmmm. What if your home’s computer believed that based on how many people live in the home there’s not enough food being purchased? How long do you think it would take the electronic nanny to notify child protective services or other authorities?

Again, this isn’t science fiction. It’s happening right now in South Bend, Indiana, and Florida and California.

I am expecting in the future the heirloom fruits and vegetables will be banned, due to the detrimental effect they have on the environment/global warming. However, the designer crops (which will grow with only impotent seeds} will be a boon to mankind, and much safer and friendlier to the ecology. That will help control the food supply. Hi Constance,

Previously I have mentioned Paul Le Cour with reference to the Age of Aquarius which is said by some to be a synonym for the New Age Movement.

The following excerpt is from an article from the May 7, 1998 edition of L'Osservatore Romano entitled A KEY TO UNDERSTAND THE NEW AGE by Teresa Osorio Goncalves which was posted on the Blavatsky.net site.

A KEY TO UNDERSTAND THE NEW AGE

    By Teresa osorio Goncalves

    .........Roots

The expressions "New Age" or "Age of Aquarius" come out of the European and American esoteric environment from the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century, where the scientific ideas of evolutionism were applied to the psychological and spiritual story of humanity fueled the expectation for a radical change. Astrological speculations contributed to corroborate this expectation.

One of the seminal books is L'Ere du Verseau, published in 1937 from the French esoterocist Paul Le Cour. Based upon ancient astrological theories, according to him, the sun would accordingly change zodiacal sign approximately every 2169 years. Le Cour had maintained that the Age of Pisces was about to finish having been initiated on the 21 of March of the common Christian era and that the sun was about to enter the sign of Aquarius. During the era of Pisces it was characterized by great restrictions, and innumerable wars. The age of Aquarius will be distinctly different by the abundance, symbolized by the mythic figure of the water bearer, the young Ganimede who spills water by tilting an urn.

In order to understand the cultural movement that was defined later between the years 1960 and 1980, it is necessary therefore to look at its essential matrix, that we find in the traditional esoteric-theosophy diffused in the intellectual European environment of the 18th to 19th century and especially in the cultural circles of masons, of spiritualism, of occultism, of theosophy. These circles shared a form of esoteric culture, defined (according to the French specialist Antoine Favre {A. Favre, Access to Western Esotericism, Sunny Press, Albany, 1994 pp. 10-15}) with these elements:

-the visible and invisible universe is connected by a series of correspondences, of analogies, of microcosmic and macrocosmic influences, through metals and plants, through these and various parts of the human body, through the cosmos that is seen and those invisible levels of that reality.
-nature is a vibrant being, crossed by networks of sympathy and antipathy, animated by a light and an occult fire that Man seeks to control.
    -through the imagination, which is an organ of the spirit, Man can enter into contact with the superior or inferior world resorting to mediators (angelic, spiritual, demonic) or to ritual;
-it is proposed to Man a spiritual itinerary of transformation, that will initiate him into mysteries of the Cosmos, of God and the proper being, making him arrive at the gnosis (knowledge), the most high consciousness, that coincides with salvation.
    -there is a search for a philosopical tradition (perennial philosophy) and a religion (primordial theology) previous and superior to all the philosophical and religious traditions of humanity, a "secret doctrine" key of all the "esoteric" traditions, that are open to all;
-the transmission of esoteric teachings is given from master to disciple through a progressive initiation.
According to the studious Dutchman Hanegraaff, the esotericism of the 19th century is a "secularized" esotericism: having integrated the traditional esotericism (that was expressed in alchemy, in "magic," in astrology), which underlined the importance of a personal religious experience and which searched for a unified vision of the universe, with aspects of the modern culture: the scientific research of the laws of causuality, evolution, new psychology, and study of religions (W.J. Hanegraaff, New Age Religion and Western Culture. Esotericism in the Mirror of Secular Thought, Brill, Leiden-New York-Koln 1996, pp. 411-524).

This integration is particularly clear in the works by Madame Blavatsky, a Russian "medium" who founded, with the American spiritualist Henry Olcott, the Theosophical Society (New York 1875), in the attempt to establish together into one evolutionary spiritualism the traditions of the Orient with the Western. The Theosophical Society had a threefold objective:

    to form a nucleus of a human fraternity, without distinction of race, religion, caste or color (rejecting traditional Christianity as sectarian and intolerant);
encourage the study of comparative religion, of philosophy and of science to arrive at a "primordial tradition"
investigate the unexplainable laws of nature and the latent powers in man.
In her works Madam Blavatsky defends emancipation of women attacking the omnipotence of "masculine-God" of Israel, of Christians and of Muslims. And proposes a return to the Hindu religion with its cult of the mother goddess and the practice of feminine virtue. The feminist action will be continued by the Theosophical Society under the guidance of Annie Besant, who was the vanguard of the feminist movement.

A few other organizations derived from the Theosophical Society have reconciled esotericism and Christianity, following the road already opened in the 18th century by Emanuel Swedenborg. Through them the Liberal Catholic Church of C.W. Leadbeater and J.I. Wedgewood, The Arcane School of Alice Bailey, Anthroposophy of Rudolf Steiner.

MESSIANIC SYNAGOGUES TARGET JEWS BUT HIT CHRISTIANS SOME OF WHOM ARE CNVERTING TO JUDAISM

Catriel’s Notebook: "Messianic Synagogues" Target Jews but Hit Christians, Some of Whom Are Converting to Judaism
    http://jewishvoiceandopinion.com/a/JVO20090205.html
By Catriel Sugarman, Researcher on Jewish Issues, Social Critic, Lecturer, acatriel@netvision.net.il
    February 2009

In the last few decades, accompanied by a blaze of publicity, hundreds of so-called "Messianic synagogues" have sprung up in cities throughout the US, Europe, and Israel.

Despite their founders’ incessant denials and their unceasing attempts to worm these institutions into the mainstream Jewish community, these "synagogues" have almost always been rightly perceived to be Evangelical Christian Churches in the guise of Jewish houses of worship. Though divested of the most flagrant Christian symbols (e.g., crosses), and cleverly designed to look "Jewish," their toned down Christian message has been, nevertheless, unmistakable.

And they have not been successful in drawing large numbers of Jews. Even with the endless hype and the investment of hundreds of millions of dollars by various Christian bodies over the years, these "Messianics" have succeeded in converting only a fraction of a fraction of the vast number of Jews whom they confidently expected to reach by means of their newly minted ersatz synagogues.

    Attracting Non-Jews

Instead something totally unexpected has happened. These "Messianic synagogues" have fired the imagination of countless thousands of non-Jews. Although the founding fathers of "Messianic Judaism" clearly intended the movement to be only a slick evangelical tool to reach Jews and convert them to Christianity, these fledgling "Jewish" congregations have been inundated by perhaps hundreds of thousands of non-Jews who are eager to join them.

Spiritual pilgrims, these non-Jews want to emulate what they see as the more authentic Jewish traditions in worship and lifestyle, but, at the same time, retain their belief in Jesus as their own personal messiah and savior.

According to Reverend Stan Telchin, a Jews-for-Jesus activist, non-Jews make up about 80 percent of those who attend Messianic synagogues.

Other experts suggest that, despite the pervasive "Jewish"—even "Orthodox"—image the Messianics seek desperately to project to the Jewish world, their congregations are probably 90 percent non-Jewish.
    Few Jews

The vast majority of ethnic Jews who do attend "Messianic synagogues" are either intermarried or the offspring of mixed marriages in which the father is as likely as the mother to have been the Jewish parent, making the individual not necessarily halachically Jewish at all.

Most of the intermarried couples in these congregations, instead of affiliating with an "ordinary" temple or church, solve their religious conflict by compromising on a "Messianic synagogue."

"Statistically, the number of Jews that get lost to Messianic Judaism is a tiny fraction of the Jews who are lost to us through intermarriage, assimilation, and apathy," said Rabbi Maynard Bell, executive director of the Arizona chapter of the American Jewish Committee.

In Tyler, Texas, Rabbi Neal Katz of Reform Congregation Beth El considers the Messianic movement "less of a threat to us than some people might imagine."

"I think the press has to work fairly hard to find real Jews in some of these [Messianic] congregations," he said.

    "Jewish Wannabes"

The abundance of Gentiles in a movement that was established to attract Jews has not gone unnoticed. In a piece entitled "Messianic Gentiles" Just Jewish Wannabes?" commentator Jessie Arcona said that, as a Gentile, she has noticed "an undercurrent of frustration" among Jewish members of the Messianic movements because it is so easy to attract non-Jewish participants and so difficult to attract Jews.

"Messianic groups attempt to give [Jews] a place to be without ‘gentilizing’ them," she said, describing the "exciting prospect" of "telling Jewish people that their Messiah has already come."

"And sometimes it works out that way. One here, one there, a few Jewish proselytes appear," she said.

But, she noted, "Embarrassingly, for every Jewish proselyte, there are many more Gentiles who see the appeal of the Messianic movement, and wish to participate. How can the Messianic movement be truly for Messianic Jewish believers, if the place is crawling with Gentiles?"

    Way Station before Conversion

Sometimes, Gentiles who are genuinely attracted to Judaism, wind up in Messianic congregations, only as way stations before continuing on to full halachic conversion. Others decide to renounce Christianity and satisfy themselves as Noahides, believers in the One Jewish G-d who, because they do not convert, are mandated to obey only seven commandments instead of 613.

A good example is Patricia Power, who serves as undergraduate academic advisor in the religious studies department at Arizona State University. Four years ago, she converted to Judaism after years of intensive self-study of Torah and Biblical Hebrew while a member of a local Messianic group. Born and raised a Catholic, she joined a Bible church after getting married until friends invited her to join their "Messianic synagogue."

"Judaism spoke to me academically, intellectually, and spiritually, This was not anticipated by the Evangelical movement," she said.

    (1) History - Why didn't people in the middle ages read the Bible?

    http://www.davidmacd.com/catholic/did_the_catholic_church_forbid_bible_reading.htm

The Bible was on scrolls and parchments during the early centuries of Christianity. No one had a "Bible". Even into the Middle Ages, each Bible was written by hand. Most people were, at best, only functionally literate. That is partially why they used stained glass windows and art to tell the Bible story. The printing press was not invented until 1436 by Johann Gutenberg. So prior to 1436, the idea of everybody having a Bible was out of the question, even if they could read.

After the invention of the press, prior to Luther's Bible being published in German, there had been over 20 versions of the whole Bible translated into the various German dialects (High and Low) by Catholics. Similarly, there were several vernacular versions of the Bible published in other languages both before and after the Reformation.

The Catholic Douay-Rheims version of the whole Bible in English was translated from the Latin Vulgate. It was completed in 1610, one year before the King James Version was published.

The New Testament had been published in 1582 and was one of the sources used by the KJV translators. The Old Testament was completed in 1610.

The Latin Vulgate was always available to anyone who wanted to read it without restriction. In the 16th Century there were no public schools and literacy was not that common, especially among the peasants. Those people who could read had been well educated and could read Latin.

Latin was far from a dead language. It was the language of theology and science (the language of all educated peoples throughout Europe and beyond) well into the 17th and 18th Centuries. For example, when Isaac Newton published his works on physics, he published them in Latin so that all of Europe could read them. The same was true of all other scientific and scholarly advances.

The reason that the Protestant reformers used vernacular languages was because a) most educated people did not take the reformers seriously and b) they used the masses to get power for their movement. The pamphlets published by Luther and Calvin were filled with all manner of crude and dirty language (lots of references to "shitting," "pissing," and "farting"), and this was done to capture the imagination of the common man and to create popular uprising against the social establishment.

The Bible could very much be understood by people with the intelligence and ability to understand its theological content -- most of whom spoke Latin. Most common people of the time, however, could understand neither the language nor the content ...and most common people are still clueless about the content of the Bible today ...which is why Protestants supply "ministers" to interpret it for them.

We should also remember that the Jews had always kept their Bible in the Hebrew until the 19th Century. The Greek versions of the Jewish Bible made in ancient times had been co-opted by the Christians so the Jews basically abandoned them. Any Jew who wanted the read the Bible was expected to make the effort to learn Hebrew.

The Catholic Church was never opposed people reading the Bible. What it opposed was people reading interpretations the Bible apart from the teaching authority of the Church, which would lead to the kinds of problems we have today with 30,000 denominations interpreting Scripture differently. The Bible itself warns against this. (2 Peter 1:20).

With the invention of printing, there was a communications explosion, and one suddenly saw lots of people making very poor and heretical translations of the Bible and popularizing them throughout Christendom...The Church tried to stop this.

The common people of the middle ages had no intellectual defense with which they could make a reasonable judgment about the Truth.

It was never forbidden to read the Bible. But some priests were worried that congregations would come up with dozens of conflicting interpretations of Scripture. These priests knew of over 300 Protestant denominations who had distinct beliefs about the interpretation of Scripture. Many of these interpretations conflicted with each other yet every one of them claimed divine inspiration. As a whole, neither Catholics or Evangelicals are into relativism (which says there are many truths). So we have to conclude that the vast majority of conflicting Evangelical biblical interpretations are incorrect since only one can be true. Some priests saw this divisional process in Protestant circles and felt it was a danger.

    Where We Got the Bible: Our Debt to the Catholic Church;

A Short but very powerful book on how the Bible came to be. Bishop Graham uses mostly Protestant sources to prove that the Catholic Church is responsible for putting the Bible together as we have it today and totally obliterates a number of Protestant myths about the Catholic Church and the Bible.

I think Obama is referring to those progammable thermostats that you can buy at Lowe's or some other place and easily install which do save money in the long run. I least, that's what I think he means. You can set the temperature so it's lower and higher depending on when you're home or when you're asleep. They're rather cheap. Much cheaper than buying solar panels or a wind turbine for your backyard.

Obama should lower his thermostat and wear a sweater. I guess when you live on someone else's money you can do whatever you want.

Savvy and Susanna, two excellent posts and in reality they go together. Though both Judaism and Catholicism have different theologies, they each have a long history which supports an internal coherence.

This is important because at its base religion depends on faith in things unseen. Without internal analysis and testing by competent individuals who have studied interpretations and their results over long periods of time, any theology might just become an incoherent batch of opinions, rather useless in helping to understand things unseen.

Nothing personal, but the belief systems in the New Age movement and the messianic movement have much in common. They are scattered interpretations of what can be found in the supernatural, primarily meant to tingle the emotions of followers. There is something for everybody if one can only find the right location where it is being taught.

For example, one couldn't, then or now, just plunk an untested messianic belief system down in the middle of the Jewish community, call out "Follow me" and expect compliance. While followers of the latest thought may have complete faith in their find, others may spot many flaws not noticed by the follower.

Here we find a similarity between Judaism and Catholicism. Jewish beliefs developed over hundreds and hundreds of years. Over a few hundred years those accepting the faith of Christianity moved from the status of cult to that of an organized church, with many developments in between. Catholicism has stood the test of time.

The article on Messianic Judaism was well done and explains why that movement remains in such a state of high flux.

Messianic Judaism may go the way of the dodo bird just as the cult of the newest channeler or New Age spiritual counselor may go. While these may tingle the emotions with charismatic leadership and interesting rituals and paraphernalia, anyone looking for more substance needs to look elsewhere.

The Christian Bible says that Jews will be partially blinded until the fullness of the gentiles comes in (I think that is the concept of Paul). If true, this would explain why few Jews join Messianic congregations. The group which I have attended, however, is about half Jewish and half gentile. The gentiles in this group, as in most messianic groups, believe they are descended from the "lost tribes of Israel". In most cases they don't know which tribe, although there all the books out there trying to interpret the migrations of the ten tribes of Israel, and they do not consider it important to know.

It is believed by most Christian groups that Jews will accept Jesus as the Messiah soon--anywhere from the coming First Fruits when some think the dead in Christ will rise and testify, to later in the "tribulation." They believe this will come about through testimony of the risen or years later through Jewish shock at the desecration of the temple by antichrist.

I listened to a radio show archive today featuring an Orthodox Jew who believes the dead in Christ will rise on First Fruits, but he sees the testimony reaching Jews all over the world to return to the faith of their fathers...his name is Roy Neuberger.

My expeience is the same as another comment made here, that Jews for the most part are NOT excited about Messianic congregatons. So there is no concern that the majority of Jews will convert this way.

The fullness of Gentiles, from the Catholic perspective refers to all faithful Christians returning to the faith of their fathers. Or to the church established by Jesus Christ. When this will take place is known only to God. But prophecy does tell us it will be sometime before the rise of the Anti-Christ.

I am not against Jews rebuilding the temple, but the sacrifices that the Anti-Christ will stop for a brief while, will be the Sacrifice of the Mass in the Catholic Church.

Once again trying to interpet the Bible apart from the source that produced it, is a waste of time.

Old Testament not produced by Catholic Church. Books in it not even selected by Councils of Catholic Church. Granted, books of NT canonized by Catholic Church in 4th century.

Messianics at least put more emphasis on the OT, which is filled with prophecy of the coming Messiah. The NT is the OT revealed.

The Bible given to the early Church

The Church of Rome teaches that the Bible was given to her. Thus she states,
“For Holy Mother Church, relying on the faith of the apostolic age, accepts as sacred and
canonical the books of the Old and the New Testaments, whole and entire, with all their
parts, on the grounds that, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, they have God
as their author, and have been handed on as such to the Church herself.”102
“It was by the apostolic Tradition that the Church discerned which writings are to be included
in the list of the sacred books.”103
The leaders of the early Church received the Old Testament as did the Jews, and they received
the books of the New Testament recognizing the inherent authority of those writings
was given by the Holy Spirit from God. The New Testament was received as the Word of
God as the common property of believers and heritage of the people of God. This was in the
manner and humility of faith as expressed by the Apostle Paul, “For this cause also thank we
God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye re96

    103 CCC, Para 120

ceived it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh
also in you that believe.”104 This was in the centuries before the over-powering dictatorial
supremacy of the Church of Rome was established. These Christians did not look on the
Church as “Holy Mother”; rather for the most part, their attitude as believers was as that expressed
by the Lord, “for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.”105 Unlike
present day Roman Catholicism, the early Church understood Apostolic Tradition as Apostolic
doctrine, in line with the written Word of the Apostles, and not as a source distinct from
Scripture. “From the very beginning of the post apostolic age with the writings of what are
known as the Apostolic Fathers (Ignatius, Polycarp, Clement, the Didache, and Barnabus)
there is an exclusive appeal to the Scriptures for the positive teaching of doctrine and for its
defense against heresy. The writings of the Apostolic Fathers literally breathe with the spirit
of the Old and New Testaments. In the writings of the apologists such as Justin Martyr and
Athenagoras the same thing is found. There is no appeal in any of these writings to the authority
of a verbal or extra-biblical Tradition as a separate and independent body of revelation.
It is with the writings of Irenaeus and Tertullian in the mid to late second century that
the concept of Apostolic Tradition that is handed down in the Church in oral form is first encountered.
The word “tradition” simply means teaching. Irenaeus and Tertullian state emphatically
that all the teachings of the Bishops that was given orally was rooted in Scripture
and could be proven from the written Scriptures. Both men give the actual doctrinal content
of the apostolic Tradition that was orally preached in the churches, and it can be seen clearly
that all their doctrine was derived from Scripture. There was no doctrine in what they refer to
as apostolic Tradition that is not found in Scripture. In other words, the apostolic Tradition
defined by Irenaeus and Tertullian is simply the teaching of Scripture. It was Irenaeus who
stated that while the Apostles at first preached orally, their teaching was later committed to
writing (the Scriptures), and the Scriptures had since that day become the pillar and ground of
    the Church’s faith.”106
As has been seen at the beginning of this article, from the earliest times a substantial
part of the New Testament was available to the believers. The four Gospels were known and
read in the Churches. The letters of Apostles Paul and Peter were circulated, and used even
while the Apostles lived. These New Testament books did not become authoritative because
they were being formally accepted as Scripture by any church or group of churches, rather
because the believers received them as inspired, recognizing in their Apostolic authority the
very Word of God. The life of Christ Jesus, in His role as the final and full revelation of
God107 culminated in the New Testament Canon. It expressed the final prophetic word of
grace and truth given in Him. The early believers accepted the Written Word of the New
Testament, as like unto Christ Jesus Himself, unchangeable, final, finished and authoritative.
In this they were totally unlike Romanism, with its unholy Tradition equally honoured and
revered as Scripture, and its cleverly evolving doctrine, such as its recent acceptance of Islam.
    108
God’s people in the first three centuries after Christ universally accepted what we
now know as the New Testament. The spirit and humility in which they “received it not as
the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God.” There were indeed controversies
over individual books, all of which confirmed rather than impeded the certainty that they had
God’s final Written Word “which was once delivered unto the saints.” The Lord’s people
universally knew the contents of the canon of the New Testament well before the local Council of Hippo formally accepted it in 393, and the provincial Council of Carthage in 397. The
teachings of Rome contradict the New Testament in her hierarchical pyramid of authority beginning
in the Pope, her Mary, seven Sacraments, Purgatory and other unholy traditions. In
the Rome’s acceptance of the Apocryphal books in the Old Testament, she also contradicts
the teachings of the early Church. It is patently obvious, therefore, that the Roman Catholic
Church’s identifying herself with the early Church and claiming that Bible has been handed
over to her by God, is both false and historically absurd. In her more than 600 years of Inquisition
against those who received, treasured, and lived by the Scriptures, she has show herself
not as “Holy Mother Church” but rather as the Word of truth paints her, “the woman drunken
with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus.”109

The Apostolic fathers were Catholic and did not subscribe to Protestant views on the Bible or the Church.

"See that ye all follow the bishop, even as Christ Jesus does the Father, and the presbytery as ye would the apostles. Do ye also reverence the deacons, as those that carry out the appointment of God. Let no man do anything connected with the Church without the bishop. Let that be deemed a proper Eucharist, which is [administered] either by the bishop, or by one to whom he has entrusted it. Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude also be; by the bishop, or by one to whom he has entrusted it. Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church."

Ignatius of Antioch, Epistle to the Smyrneans, 8:2 (c. A.D. 110).

"The church of God which sojourns at Rome to the church of God which sojourns at Corinth ... But if any disobey the words spoken by him through us, let them know that they will involve themselves in transgression and in no small danger."

Clement of Rome, Pope, 1st Epistle to the Corinthians, 1,59:1 (c. A.D. 96).

    “Born Again” Means Water Baptism

For Christ also said, 'Except ye be born again, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.' Now, that it is impossible for those who have once been born to enter into their mothers' wombs, is manifest to all. And how those who have sinned and repent shall escape their sins, is declared by Esaias the prophet, as I wrote above; he thus speaks: 'Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from your souls; learn to do well…And though your sins be as scarlet, I will make them white like wool; and though they be as crimson, I will make them white as snow...And for this [rite] we have learned from the apostles this reason. Since at our birth we were born without our own knowledge or choice, by our parents coming together, and were brought up in bad habits and wicked training; in order that we may not remain the children of necessity and of ignorance, but may become the children of choice and knowledge, and may obtain in the water the remission of sins formerly committed, there is pronounced over him who chooses to be born again, and has repented of his sins, the name of God the Father and Lord of the universe; he who leads to the layer the person that is to be washed calling him by this name alone…And this washing is called illumination, because they who learn these things are illuminated in their understandings. And in the name of Jesus Christ, who was crucified under Pontius Pilate, and in the name of the Holy Ghost, who through the prophets foretold all things about Jesus, he who is illuminated is washed."

    Justin Martyr, First Apology, 61 (A.D. 110-165).

"They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer, because they confess not the Eucharist to be the flesh of our Saviour Jesus Christ, which suffered for our sins, and which the Father, of His goodness, raised up again."

Ignatius of Antioch, Epistle to Smyrnaeans, 7,1 (c. A.D. 110).

We call this food Eucharist, and no one else is permitted to partake of it except one who believes our teaching to be true and has been washed in the washing that is for the remission of sins and for regeneration [i.e., has received baptism] and is thereby living as Christ enjoined. For not as common bread nor common drink do we receive these; but since Jesus Christ our Savior was made incarnate by the word of God and had both flesh and blood for our salvation, so too, as we have been taught, the food that has been made into the Eucharist by the eucharistic prayer set down by him, and by the change of which our blood and flesh is nurtured, is both the flesh and the blood of that incarnated Jesus (First Apology 66 [A.D. 151]).

The cannon of the New Testament developed in several stages.

AD 51-125 The New Testament books are written.

AD. 200 The periphery of the canon is not yet determined. According to one list, compiled at Rome c. AD 200 (the Muratorian Canon), the NT consists of the 4 gospels; Acts; 13 letters of Paul (Hebrews is not included); 3 of the 7 General Epistles (1-2 John and Jude); and also the Apocalypse of Peter.

367 AD The earliest extant list of the books of the NT, in exactly the number and order in which we presently have them, is written by Athanasius, Bishop of Alexandria, in his Festal letter # 39 of 367 A.D..

382 AD Council of Rome (whereby Pope Damasus started the ball rolling for the defining of a universal canon for all city-churches). Listed the New Testament books in their present number and order.

During Jesus' time there were two Old Testament's in use. There was the Palestinian canon (written in Hebrew) , which is identical to the Protestant Old Testament, and there was the Alexandrian canon (written in Greek) also known as the Septuagint, which is identical to the Catholic Old Testament.

The Alexandrian and Palestinian canons were almost identical except the Septuagint contained the seven Deuterocanonical books, which Protestants call the Apocrypha. ("Canon" means the list of books) The Apostles and the early Church including the early Church fathers used the Septuagint. The African Synod's of Hippo (393 AD) and Carthage (397 AD) also approved it.

The Fathers also extensively quoted from the Deuteros from the late 1st Century onwards. Until the mid 4th Century, no one seriously challenged the long OT Canon.

  103. Peter is not the rock the church was built on. When Jesus said "You are Peter" He was referring that Peter's Name means "piece of the rock" (Petros). When Jesus continues "and on this rock I will build my church..." He changes the word to petra - meaning a huge rock like Gibraltar----Peter is simply a chip of the original rock - having learned from the Holy Spirit that Jesus is the Christ. Jesus is the huge rock like Gibraltar - the church will be built on Jesus - the huge rock. Peter is just a piece.

Jesus also chose Peter to be the very first Pope of His Catholic Church - the first pope in a long UNBROKEN line of Popes right up to and including the current Pope Benedict XVI.

    Smart Grid

Obama is savvy, he drop hits how he will have everyone keep there houses and offices at a certain degree. He also says he will make Americans more healthy and points out obesity. I am concerned that he may have plans like the smart grid to control our temp and the heath care system to control our weight. May be both will be one and the same with the internet of things….??? The goal is to share via distribution of wealth (what is the definition of wealth) natural resources, money, basically everything) creating equality in the world. (oneness)

Obama is pushing it the smart grid. He put it in the stimulus bill. Why the huge fast push? It is like he is trying to meet a deadline. It has to be over control, not just our environment. Obama has named Jeffrey Immelt, CEO of NBC Universal parent GE, to his new economic advisory board. GE will play a large roll in the smart grid and financially reap its rewards.

We know that Global Warming is just a way to scare everyone into something that would control us. I think it may have been designed to show the need for the “smart grid” and then the “internet of things”. Once you have a "smart meter” installed into you house that could be expanded into the “internet of things” meter. Of course there are other reasons for the “global warming” threat. But it makes me wonder if this was one of the major reasons for that whole issue. Creating fear so we give up freedoms and privacy for the good of all so when these meters come out we have no issues, we can see why we need them. The smart meters have the ability to log all that you do in your house, when you run appliances. They also then would have the ability not to allow you to run them or charge you high amounts of money for using them at the wrong time of day. When you research them, you start to see what all they can be used for.

I have always sensed when he talked about the temperature of our personal homes and our weight, there was something planned, something he was preparing us for.

He is pushing, smart grid, broad band in rural areas, electronic medical records etc.. It looks to me like we are headed for the internet of things. They are taking away analogue TV, and putting a fortune into broadband. I was wondering why there was such a push for the analogue to be discontinued. This may be part of the reason. Just some thoughts.

    http://www.cnn.com/2009/
    TECH/03/01/eco.smartgrid/

“Such a scheme would also use "smart meters" to help consumers reduce their consumption by providing efficiency advice, as well as real-time price information and even coordinating household devices to take advantage of cheaper, off-peak, power.
"You might want to think, 'Electricity is expensive right now, so I'll turn the freezer off, or turn the fridge down for half an hour,'" says Loughhead.
"[With a smart meter] of course you wouldn't have to worry about those decisions, it would all be automated. Most of the technology exists to do this now. The issue is doing everything at a large enough scale, at an affordable price. It's a deployment issue."

“Around the world Governments are watching what is happening in the U.S., as Washington embarks on what seems to be a bold new direction. But the U.S. lead on what is repeatedly described as a "Green New Deal" will have its strength sapped without worldwide co-operation.
Environmental problems are global, and the world needs to act together. So far the signs are positive, with environment ministers at the G20 talks in Nairobi in February seeming to see the U.S. example as one to follow in the recession.
"Reviving the world economy is essential, but measures that focus solely on this objective will not achieve lasting success," says Barbier.
"Only through the national actions and global cooperation... will the world sustain its economic recovery by addressing the imminent challenges posed by climate change, energy insecurity, growing freshwater scarcity, deteriorating ecosystems, and above all, worsening global poverty." “

Obama wants the smart grid. This will be forced compliance for everyone. Now you can buy gadgets that can help you control your house, to help you save on your bills, but that is not what they want to do. They want to control your house and everything about you.

They believe they know better how to take care of you then you do yourself. You are only very small part of the “whole” picture. For us to be "One" we have to all give up our freedom and follow the leaders or "masters" that know how things should be done for the betterment of all. How better to control us but for “our own good and convenience”. They will use all the new technologies that make our lives easier. They are getting us used to less privacy in all areas. We freely give them all the info that want about us and our friends via Facebook and others like it. Google street views makes us more comfortable with what they are now starting to create surveillance cameras in major cities that link into the police departments (for our safety) so when we call on our cell phone they can see what is happening. We are encourages to back up all of our stored data on our computer into the cloud. They say soon there will be no need for a computer with a hard drive it will just be a portal on to the internet. The list goes on and on. Technology will be used to find out all about us, watch us and control us. They are now ensnaring us voluntarily but it will then be forced upon us. The “smart grid” looks like just one big step in that direction.

    Things are moving very fast.

    Savvy,

I think it was you who used the "church fathers" who are not my fathers at all to try to prove that Peter was the "rock". Unfortunately, that conflicts with Scripture which uses the expression "the Rock" no less that 90-100 time to refer to "the Lord" starting in the book of Exodus when Moses was commanded to "speak to the rock" so that it would bring forth water. That would be living water..

Now, my question to you is should I listen to the "church fathers" who were mere men" or should I listen to the Scriptures. If God's Word indeed is the living Word. It is Yeshua, because according to John, He is the Word that became flesh, then God's Word is alive.

If Yeshua gave us direct access to the throne of God when His blood cleansed the mercy seat in heaven, then why do I need a priest to interpret for me?

Someone, I believe Dorothy, said Judaism and Catholicism have a lot in common. Well yes and no. Judaism does rely heavily on tradition and so does Catholicism, but Jews have an old saying which is true, 2 rabbis, 5 opinions. If the Catholic Church which is supposed to have the monopoly on correct interpretation was right then all Catholics would agree, but as it stands they don't.

Catholicism was one of the biggest deceptions of Satan and it's so sad. Catholics depend on the priest for the sacraments and the absolution of sins and to be the intermediary between people and God.

The Bible says we are a kingdom of priests!!! We no longer need the intermediary because Yeshua is our Kohen HaGadol!! You don't understand what Yeshua accomplished if you believe you need a priest.

The verse in Romans 11...correctly translated from Greek is:

    Rom. 11:25 For I do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, of this secret — that ye may not be wise in your own conceits — that hardness in part to Israel hath happened till the fulness of the nations may come in;

"Fullness of the nations" is what the offspring of Ephraim, the leader of the Northern Kingdom became in exile. Here it is in black and white:

    Gen. 48:17 And Joseph seeth that his father setteth his right hand on the head of Ephraim, and it is wrong in his eyes, and he supporteth the hand of his father to turn it aside from off the head of Ephraim to the head of Manasseh;
Gen. 48:18 and Joseph saith unto his father, ‘Not so, my father, for this [is] the first-born; set thy right hand on his head.’
Gen. 48:19 And his father refuseth, and saith, ‘I have known, my son, I have known; he also becometh a people, and he also is great, and yet, his young brother is greater than he, and his seed is the fulness of the nations;’

Ephraim's seed became literally the "fulness of the nations". The melo hagoyim in Hebrew or the "pleroma ethnos" in Greek. It means the same thing.

On this Rock I will build my "ekklesia" is not "the church" but the "called out assembly" which is why in the Greek Septuagint the same word that Catholics translate "church" is used in the Torah which was translated into Greek ( Greek Septuagint) 200 years before Yeshua speaking of the "called out assembly " in the wilderness.

So, we have the Rock in the Wilderness, the Ekklesia in the Wilderness. God says He will never forget His people Israel, ever, ever.

Is. 49:14-16 But Zion said, “The LORD has forsaken me, And the Lord has forgotten me.” “Can a woman forget her nursing child ? And have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but aI will not forget you.
“Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.

The Lord says over and over and over again He will not forget Israel. The seed of Israel is dispersed in the nations and in the "fulness of the nations" which as you will remember refers of the scattering of Ephraim's seed in the nations.. ALL Israel will be saved. .

The problem is that people interpret that verse to mean "gentiles". The "gentiles" are scattered Israel that's seed is mixed in the nations. Yeshua is gathering up His people.

There are many Gentiles today responding to Torah. I will not try to say they are all scattered Israelites, but I will say that it is an interesting thing that is taking place in our generation.

The problems is that Catholics are afraid to read the Scriptures and let the text speak. If you open the Bible, and ask the Lord for wisdom ( James 1:5) He will help you to understand them.

James doesn't say if "priests or bishops or cardinals" want wisdom. He says if ANYONE is lacking wisdom they can come to God in faith and ask Him for wisdom and He will give it to them.

Wisdom as we know from the book of Proverbs is all about God's Word.

    Prov. 2:6 For athe LORD gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

    Here's what the Psalmist says:

Psa. 1:2-3 But his delight is in the Torah of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and dnight. He will be like aa tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season
And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.

The word in the English Bible says law, but it is actually Torah, which JPS Bible translates "teaching". Torah means teaching, instruction, target.. we don't want to "miss the mark".

Psa. 119:105 Your word is a alamp to my feet
And a light to my path.

Yeshua is not only the Rock, but He is the Word:

Rev. 19:13 He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.

Through Him all things were created. He is the Creator. We should know Him and we know Him through His Word. He is the Torah that became flesh, the living Torah.

Even Peter, the one you call the "first Pope" calls Yeshua the rock, the stumbling stone:

1Pet. 2:7-8 This precious value, then, is for you who believe; but for those who disbelieve, “THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS BECAME THE VERY CORNER stone,” and, “A STONE OF STUMBLING AND A ROCK OF OFFENSE”; for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, cand to this doom they were also appointed.

Careful exegesis of the texts of Scripture will show you that the Peter was never a pope.

If you want to follow a man, you will be very disappointed and you are likely to go astray, but if you seek God Himself with all of your heart, you will never go astray. He will never disappoint you.

Jer. 29:13 ‘You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

We cannot love the Lord with all our heart, all our mind and all of our soul through an intermediary. He doesn't want us to put a barrier between Him and us. The newer covenant shows us that there is no more veil between the holy of holies and us because Yeshua's death tore the veil.

Here are the verses that show what He has done as our Kohen HaGadol:

Heb. 9:24-26 For Christ adid not enter a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; nor was it that He would offer Himself often, as athe high priest enters the holy place ayear by year with blood that is not his own.
Otherwise, He would have needed to suffer often since athe foundation of the world; but now bonce at the consummation of the ages He has been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

When Yeshua died, the curtain, the veil, in the Temple which separated the people from the Holy of Holies, which was also in the Tabernacle in the Wilderness was torn from bottom to top opening the way for us to have access to the throne of God:

Matt. 27:51 And behold, bthe 1veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth shook and the rocks were split.

This veil of separation allow the Kohen HaGadol to enter one time a year on Yom Kippur to make atonement for the people and first he had to atone for himself:

Ex. 26:33 “You shall hang up the veil under the clasps, and shall bring in athe ark of the testimony there within the veil; and the veil shall 2serve for you as a partition bbetween the holy place and the holy of holies.

If the Kohen HaGadol went in in an unworthy manner he could die. When Yeshua came, His blood atoned for our sins once and for all and in Him we now have direct access to the throne in heaven, no intermediaries.

I'm not trying to give you a hard time. I'm sad for you that you think you need a priest in between you and Yeshua. I'm sad that you have deprived yourself of the relationship directly with Abba. He has opened up a new and living way. I honestly have no hostility toward Catholics, but the Church itself knows the truth and the cover it with their doctrine and they have kept people imprisoned spriitually for centuries and centuries.

Yeshua says to continue in His Word, and you will be free. He is the one who sets us free and there is no other, not a pope, or a priest or a bishop, or any other.

John 8:31-32 So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and ayou will know the truth, and bthe truth will make you free.”

In scrolling down on the blog I just posted, I'm not sure I go along with all this fellows opinions although he does put information on there that is interesting, I do not agree with what I read about the Shoah.

He does admit that any number of Jews killed in the Shoah is wrong, so good for him, but I'm not sure I buy into his idea that "Pharisiac-Talmud Judaism is dominating over" anyone. His premise is that the Shoah is used to keep bad conscience alive, which I think is a twisting of the facts.

Only recently the French Government finally admitted culpability in the Shoah, but refused to pay any claims. Swiss banks still hold Jewish assets. The fact that in Europe anti-semitic acts are up dramatically since the Gaza War proves that people forget very easily. Anti-semitism is very spiritual.

The simple fact is that God's election of Israel has caused jealousy since the beginning, but that jealousy is satanically inspired, and most people don't realize that. Muslims are blinded by hatred against Jews because the Quran tells them to kill them and Christians..

Unless we understand the spiritual roots of anti-semitism and understand that God is redeeming Israel and we are to become one body, one ekklesia, one olive tree, there will be spiritual confusion. Believers in Yeshua are not one with Jews right now except in the false sense ( like the Alliance of Civilization type unity). There will come a day very soon, when believers in Yeshua from the nations will be united with believers in Yeshua who are Jewish. It is beginning to happen in our day.

This is prophetic and is a fulfillment of the two stick prophecy of Ezekiel. As I said earlier, the "fulness of the nations" is in part Ephraim ( the 10 tribes) who have been scattered in the nations. As the gospel goes out to the nations, along with the nations is the seed of scattered lost sheep of Israel being gathered up. The true unity will come as more Jews come to know Messiah Yeshua and the nations ( which contain the House of Israel) attach themselves to the living Torah, Yeshua. This is the picture of unity that the Bible shows us. The other false unity being promoted by the Vatican, the AoC, the UN, United Religions Initiative etc., etc. is not the unity that Yeshua talked about.

We will enter into the time of Jacob's trouble when the Jews and all the believers who are attached to Israel from the nations will see persecution. The prophets talk about this. Jacob represents all 12 tribes of Israel, not only the Jews.

If our theology about Israel is not very well defined, we risk to be part of the apostate church that wants to divide the land. God is coming into judgment with those who scatter His people and divide His Land. I've posted this verse before, but it bears posting again:

Joel 3:2 I will agather all the nations
And bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will center into judgment with them there On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, Whom they have dscattered among the nations; And they have edivided up My land.

United States today is on very dangerous spiritual ground as it enters into these so-called "peace negotiations" to divide the Land of Israel, not because Jews are perfect. Jews are very imperfect, but that is not the issue. God is gathering the "dry bones" of Ezekiel 37 and bringing together the whole House of Israel. This is prophetic passage. Israel's bones were dry in the Shoah ( think of the many photos) but also spiritually dry. Look what God is going to do with them:

Ezek. 37:3 He said to me, “Son of man, acan these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord 1GOD, bYou know.”
Ezek. 37:4 Again He said to me, “aProphesy over these bones and say to them, ‘O dry bones, bhear the word of the LORD.’
Ezek. 37:5 “Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones, ‘Behold, I will cause 1abreath to enter you that you may come to life.
Ezek. 37:6 ‘I will put sinews on you, make flesh grow back on you, cover you with skin and put breath in you that you may come alive; and you will aknow that I am the LORD.’”

Notice the expression "the whole house of Israel"

Ezek. 37:11 ¶ Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the awhole house of Israel; behold, they say, ‘Our bbones are dried up and our hope has perished. We are 1completely ccut off.’

In the second part of Ezekiel 37 is the two stick ( or two branch) prophecy which talks about how God is going to bring Judah and Ephraim together to be one nation again. This has not yet happened.

The time of Jacob's trouble on the earth will be part of the shaking that takes place that will cause Israel to be "shaken out of the nations" as the prophet Amos says in chapter 9.

The Shoah, may have caused the secular Zionists to form the nation of Israel, but God is sovereign and He permitted it. There are many survivors of the Shoah who did not even believe in God, but today God is putting His Spirit in the them. The Christian Zionists, the Messianic believers and many groups who are supporting and attaching themselves to Israel, unbeknowst to all of them are the very beginning of the fulfillment of the second part of Ezekiel 37.

We need to look at these Scriptures. The days really are late and if you don't see the central role of Israel in God's plan of redemption you will be part of the apostate church.

Today churches like those of the Churches for Middle East Peace represent the apostate church. They are lining up against God's plans and purposes for Israel. They completely ignore 80 percent of the Bible. Splitting the land is not in the plans or purposes of God. Forming an ecumenic unity is not in the plans or purposes of God. God is kadosh ( holy) and will give His glory to no one else.

All of the efforts of these apostate organizations to bring about peace and safety will not succeed. They will lead to the ushering in of the antimessiah and the false prophet all crying "peace and safety" .

Folks there is no peace and safety until Yeshua puts His feet on the Mt of Olives. It is that simple. Our only hope for peace is in Messiah Yeshua.

The New Agers, the false ecumenic movement, the UN, EU, AoC, etc, etc, will all line up against God's purposes. Remember the apostasy must come before the man of perdition reveals himself. Why? Because people will be so dumbfounded and confused because they do not know the Word of God, that they will believe their leaders. We can only know Yeshua in relationship, in the living Word. I urge you all to really study the Scriptures, those who don't already, so that you will not be deceived. Do not depend on a priest or a pastor to be the one. They will not stand with you in the Day of Judgement. They might face their own judgement if they have lead the flock astray, but we are accountable before God for ourselves.

    Dear Constance (6:53 AM):

With all due respect, many of us have noticed that whenever there is an attack on you, you do not simply let it go and move on. You come back at that particular poster diplomatically and most effectively, but with "verbal guns" blazing.

Imagine for a moment what it's been like for us Catholic Christians, who participate on this blog, to have ONE single poster make it her MISSION IN LIFE to attack the Catholic Church (either directly or indirectly) on a daily basis since last April of 2008!!!

In recent days, Joyce's stepped-up unprovoked attacks have grown even more vicious and OUTRAGEOUS!!!

Now, you have two brilliant SCHOLARS (Susanna and Savvy) contributing to your blog, who have tried to rise above the unprovoked VENOM coming from Joyce while quietly and brilliantly articulating their carefully researched arguments.

It you had another poster like Joyce BLASTING against the Protestant groups (Baptist, Episcopalian, Methodist, Presbyterian, Church of the Nazarene, etc.) on a daily basis -- the outcry and outrage from your other bloggers would be loud and clear and immediate.

How does Joyce expect to have credibility when she supplies links to those web sites that we Catholics KNOW are not only NOT credible but truly LAUGHABLE!!! (The latest example --someone who passes herself off as a "Carmelite MONK!!!)

Where is the "fine line" of DECENCY and respect to be drawn here, Constance???

While we ALL KNOW that the New Age Movement has infiltrated ALL of the churches (Catholic, Protestant and Jewish) . . . the Catholic Church's DOGMA is NOT the "enemy" here.

Satan, the Anti-Christ and the New Age Movement are the enemies!!!

    Constance and all,
I'm not really bothered by the moronic remarks that some on the blog make. Having said that, you might want to revisit the Scriptures I have pointed to before you dismiss them as chaff. If you have a better explanation I'm open to hearing it and considering my position. My comments come directly from the texts that I refer to and I use numerous language tools as well as Biblical encyclopedias to arrive at my conclusions, not to mention a lot of prayer.

The problem is that this blog seeks to deal with issues of prophecy without addressing them from the Scriptures directly. There's a lot of ideas that people have about deception, but what is our measuring rod to decide what is and isn't deception? I would presume that it is the inerrant Scriptures, from the original language texts would be our best measure of truth.

The problem is that on this blog we have people that think tradition +Scripture is truth, others that think only part of the Scriptures are truth i.e. the Torah.. I'm speaking specifically of Dorothy and Len when they were officially around..

Then there are those of us who believe that Genesis to Revelations is the truth alone, but we have different spiritual educations and experiences.

The issues I bring up are not "oh by the way things". I am very conscious of what I say and why I say it, and I do it with a very specific goal, to get people to examine the texts for themselves. Then if they have a disagreement with me I'm happy to hear it and consider my positions or agree to disagree. My only concern is to be true to what Scripture says and after that if someone wants to criticize me, let them knock themselves out. It makes no difference in my life.

I am deeply troubled by the idea that we look at what people like Alice Bailey says to determine how prophecy will come to pass.. although I am very aware that Alice Bailey channeled demons and has made her impact on the world in some very diabolic ways, she was an instrument of the evil one, and Satan doesn't know everything. Satan also is called the father of lies, and twists the truth, so while the New Age point of view is important to examine and has a huge impact on the world, it is not the ONLY form of deception that exists. Satan never limits himself to one strategy. He doesn't care how he deceives people, only that he keeps them in some form of deception, as his slaves. If someone goes to hell because they are not born again, Satan has achieved his objective. They could be a Mormon, a Muslim, a Catholic, a Protestant, a Messianic Jew, a regular Jew. The New Age is only one piece of the deception.

I want to suggest that God Himself is the only purveyor of truth, so if we want to know what the end looks like we should be examining things like the New Age Movement, yes, but only in the light of what Scripture says. The danger, as I see it, is that we give too much weight and too much credit to those who really do not have the ultimate power.
Sometimes we glorify them by paying too much attention to what they think and what they want to do.

God is sitting on the throne, and I want to suggest to all of you on the blog that it is much more interesting to search the Scriptures and see what He has to say about the times of the end and the times of deception and how He says we should handle it. I know quite a few of you already do this. Of course we can discuss these things in the light of current events..

Instead of people getting defensive when I criticize the pope, or making silly remarks when I quote passages from Scripture, it would be nice to hear some intelligent adult-like responses someone thinks I am wrong. It doesn't really bother me to be insulted by strangers. It's their loss, if they don't take the time to think about what I am putting forth.

I have spoke to theologians who hold another view then myself and agreed that they could answer some of the questions that I brought up about Scripture. I'm talking about people that have written many books on Systematic Theology. These are people with many more degrees than myself and yet they admit that the passages I point to, give them great difficulty..

It has been years that I have been studying the Scriptures, praying and seeking God's face...I'm sure it's the same for some on this blog.. If we are really living in the evil days that most of us believe we are, it would be better if we could be a little more serious about the way we address people's comments and questions.. I have a great sense of humor and can be sarcastic and joke and insult like anyone else, but the reason that I chose not to respond is because that's not my purpose in sharing on this blog. I am deathly serious about the Scriptures and what they say. The Word of God, which is life giving is the most important guide in the days we live in, so talking about prophetic evens apart from the prophetic texts of Scripture is a waste of time.

There are some really nice people on the blog that I've had the pleasure and privilege to know a little more personally, so I continue to devote some time sharing here when it doesn't interfere with some of my other obligations, in the hopes that we can all learn from one another.

The Scriptures say "iron sharpens iron".. so if someone wants to respond intelligently and disagree with me about something, I honestly welcome that. The rest of the comments that are designed to ridicule, I don't have much time for.

We live in a late hour and those of us who are awake and aware should be wrestling with the Scriptures. Yes, there are a million different points of view out there, even within the Catholic Church or among the Methodists, Presbyterians, Jews, Baptists, etc. It is for this very reason that those of us who are watching the events of our day should be willing to open up our Bibles and look at text to have understanding. God says seek and you shall find, knock and the door will be open for you..God delights in His children coming to His Word to listen.. For those of you who don't have this habit, I really recommend trying. It has changed my life.

Constance, I do believe you do what you do because you think there are serious things going on. I don't always agree with your perspectives either, but that's fine. I think you and I can live with the difference of opinon. I suspect if we had a few hours to sit down and discuss things further we might discover we have more areas of agreement than we think, but the blog format doesn't always lend itself to perfect communication..

Maybe I am mistaken, and this blog is not designed to examine the New Age Movement in the light of Scripture? If so then I would challenge some of you who are so sure you know the truth? How do you know? What is your measuring rod of truth? Your rabbi, your priest, the pope, your pastor, Constance? How can you be sure they are right? I hope you will find a more objective way to seek to understand in the days ahead.

I have made some very strong statements about Israel and no one ever disagrees with me...should I assume everyone's on the same page? This is a challenge to you, not for my sake, but for your own. I already know what I think about this. Go and search the Scriptures about Israel and see no.1 who it is, what happened to it, what's going to happen in the future, etc. If you don't know this, you will very likely miss some very important end time prophecies that will concern the New Age Movement among other things..

Oh, and by the way all, happy Purim.. about 2500 years roughly, God spared the Jewish people through a young Jewish woman Esther, which allow the Jewish people ( Judah-Southern Kingdom) to continue on, and then eventually Yeshua to be born from the House of David.

Esth. 4:14 “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?”

There are no accidents in God's plan and none in His Word..

Joyce did her best to distort Judaism also and was shown how foolish her remarks were by Len who posted here a while back. Anti-Catholic, anti-Judaism, what do we have in our midst!

Claiming to be Jewish, though she started pushing her new religion after some other religion, (questionable by her statements), she deliberately makes Jews look bad with her over the top pushiness, a stereotype used by antisemites.

    By Douglas J. Hagmann, Director

8 March 2009: It is indeed change you can believe in. The Obama administration has broken from tradition by choosing to remain silent and failing to condemn a terrorist attack in Israel that occurred last week. On Thursday, Marei Radaydeh, a Palestinian construction worker used a bulldozer to attack a police car, a bus and other vehicles on a busy Jerusalem street, injuring two police officers. Radaydeh used the bulldozer to drag and flip the police car in a busy intersection and pushing it into a bus that was stuck in traffic before being shot and killed. Police found an open Quran in the driver’s compartment of the bulldozer. Obama’s condemnation was conspicuous amid the praise bestowed upon the terrorist by HAMAS lawmaker and spokesman Mushi el-Masri.

“So what,” you might say. After all, the incident was really insignificant in the overall scheme of things. Perhaps, but the U.S. response - or lack thereof - is more ominous than it appears.

It has been a long standing policy to stand behind our Israeli allies, even if such policy merely amounts to paying lip service in public while exerting political pressure of restraint privately. Now, it appears evident that the United States, under Barack Hussein Obama as President and Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State, is not even willing to do that. The pro-Palestinian, pro-HAMAS agenda of Barack Hussein Obama and his administration should be clear to anyone who is willing to take time away from watching their retirement funds evaporate into thin air, and equally unsettling.

It was December 31, 2008 that I published “Part I” of my interview with a now retired intelligence official who explained that the U.S. would abandon Israel in favor of the Palestinians, who would attempt to slice and dice the nation of Israel to achieve a lasting peace in the Middle East. According to this source:

“I have every reason to believe, based on what I’ve seen at my level of [security] clearance especially over the last several years, that Israel will soon be completely on their own… or worse.” When asked what could be worse than losing the support of the United States, he stated: “when our administration provides more support to Arab countries [with] financial and military aid, undercutting Israel’s defense efforts all while pushing Israel to succumb to the pressure of unreasonable demands designed to end with their political annihilation as a nation.” [emphasis added].
After I published that article, I received countless e-mails from readers who stated that the prospect of the U.S. sending troops to help the Palestinians was absurd. Even a number of listeners to Israel National Radio during my appearance on the Tamar Yonah Show expressed skepticism regarding the accuracy of my information and validity of my source. That skepticism began to wane with the publication of an op-ed piece on February 7, 2009, written by New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman who suggested that the U.S. should commit troops to assist the Palestinians.

One might respond that Friedman is a columnist, not a policy maker. Enter Samantha Power, appointed by Obama to the National Security Council. Power. Watch the following 3 minute excerpt from an interview where Power appears to advocate the use of U.S. troops to in support of the Palestinians, bringing the scenario described on this site in December one step closer to reality:

This shift in policy is one change you can believe in. It is at the core of the establishment of a “new world order,” a phrase once exclusively uttered by conspiracy theorists and nutjobs. This is a change that you can not only believe in, but a change that will ultimately have the greatest impact on the future of the United States and the balance of global power.

I don't have any hate towards Catholics. I've spoke about people like Rick Warren on the blog..."the pope" in a very loose manner of speaking, of the Evangelical movement, but not one Evangelical on the blog had any problems with that.

My goal is not to beat up Catholics. I really do believe that the Vatican is part of end-time apostasy.. Now that doesn't mean I think you or Susanna, or Savvy are. If you are comfortable with all the pope is doing you should not be one bit upset about what I'm saying, in fact you should be defending the Vatican, and it's history, teachings etc. hopefully, based on the Scriptures.. if you can do that. If you can't, you might ask yourself the question why someone who was raised in the Catholic system and is now born-again has such a hard time with the teachings.. This would be a more logical approach.

I don't feel at all victimized. If you think Catholic teaching and leadership is so great, why don't you just explain why and what it has done for you and how you see it as the being true to the Scriptures?

It is the very kind of thing that I have been saying here that got several people who believed the Catholic Church to reconsider their position and begin searching in the Scriptures.. All of those people were born-again before going to their graves.. I didn't say it in a mean way. I didn't say it to put them down, and they knew that what I was doing was not mean-spirited in any way shape or form.

If you want to challenge things I've said here based on the Bible, go right ahead.. I'm happy to discuss with you if you really believe I'm wrong.. No one has a monopoly on truth except God HImself.

I don't consider it slander. I utterly reject all that the Catholic Church stands for and believe it will be part of the apostate system of the last days. The fact that 300 years after Yeshua a Roman Emperor decided to make a calendar based on Babylonian sun worship, and that a succession back to Peter was established in retrospect of "popes" since nowhere in the Bible is Peter called a pope or is their an office of pope. The fact that the Catholic Church entered into the Dark Ages and then the Inquisition were for 500 years they killed millions of innocent people, and were passive at the very best, but complicit at the worst in the Shoah, and actively engage in pedophelia and the covering up of heinous crimes against children...

The fact the pope calls himself the Vicar of Christ, infallible, worships Mary, decides who are saints, i.e. sets himself up as equal with Yeshua, which is utter blaspheme.

The fact that the Catholic Cathedrals are filled with forbidden statues, and that the Catholic Church has invented the idea that it is through their sacraments and their church that people enter heaven, the fact that the Catholic Church teaches that priests and nuns must practice celibacy, which most likely contributes to the abuse of children, not to mention the fact that it is unbiblical as a doctrine, not to mention things like the Assumption of Mary, the Immaculate Conception ( i..e Mary had no sin, where is that in Scripture, when did Yeshua teach that).

The fact that today the Catholic Church is instrumental in promoting the worldwide ecumenic movement in conjunction with the UN and many other pagan organizations, all of these things lead to my beliefs about the Vatican, not to mention that the pope acts as a political leader and tries to exert his pressure on the nations of the world and the pope's position on Israel will become very clear as time goes on.

If I am wrong about that, I will happily retract my words, but I don't think so.

I won't even go into the business of the SSPX and the Williamson affair.. that was covered here already.

Now there are probably individual priests and nuns out there who might be very nice and kind, but that does not change the fact that the hierarchy of the church is founded on a lie about Peter being a rock when Yeshua is the ROCK.

When you start on a faulty foundation your house will crumble. If I were in a crumbling house, I wouldn't walk out, I'd run.

    ...................................

Joyce, the church fathers were men, but so were the Protestant reformers.

YVONNE, good catch on SAMANTHA POWERS, and I have two comments, the second one was a posting on Constance’s blog sometime ago and I think it needs repeating. The other comment has to do with my criticism of the philosophy in the movie Watchmen which Samantha Power repeats in that Youtube: “We have to think of lesser evils.” Remember that many of us were warning about Obama’s pro Palestinian position before the election, and I believe that 71% of American Jews voted for him! I have scolded Christians for voting for Obama, as the abortion decrees should put them (US) to shame.
"Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not." John 11:50 Let me be so bold as to insert two different characters in this scripture by virtue of Luke 19:44 , Deuteronomy 31:29, and others: Nor consider that it is expedient for us, (the world) that one nation (Israel) should die for the people. I am sad beyond comprehension that this situation is upon us and the people of Israel.
On the morning of the six day war there was a common consensus about the students at school that we would join Israel in the battle. I doubt that is true today! As I have mentioned before, I have counseled my sons: "to enter the US military today is to put oneself into the position of having to fight the children of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob." We must be soldiers of the cross.

The temps are decided by those on the smart grid on the east coast, and by computer decide what temp to put all stores. based on their computer generations of the probable temps. for instance to change the temp in their store the west coast stores have to call the main store and tell them that 85* in the store is too hot as it is 110* outside on the west coast. Hmmm will they listen? most times not.

    Eye Contact With Big Brother!

Many people have wondered about the television switchover from analog to digital and the little converter boxes that the government is helping people to purchase. It is quite a scheme, and the "upgrade" is one that will facilitate high-tech mind control. Our U.S. Military has used such technology for over ten years, and it was used on the Iraqis to bring them to their knees quickly when invaded in 1990. The technology is called Silent Sound Spread Spectrum or SSSS. U.S. Patent number 4,858,612 was issued to Philip Stocklin on December 19th, 1983, for the invention. It is also known as sound of silence (remember the Simon and Garfunkel song), and it works by transmission of sound undetected by the ear but planted into the human auditory cortex of the brain. It is the ultimate in universal mind control. If this system were attempted to be used with the old analog television, it would show up only as static. That is why everything must be converted to digital, and the government will help you pay for it. Don't put it past big brother to try to put the will of the Antichrist directly into your brain as you make eye contact with your digital television. (36) You may find yourself thinking things you otherwise would never think and doing things you would otherwise never do! Incidentally, the first verse of the satanically prophetic song "The Sound of Silence" reads as follows: "Hello darkness my old friend, I've come to talk with you again, Because a vision softly creeping, Left its seeds while I was sleeping, And the vision that was planted in my brain still remains, Within the sound of silence."

    Joyce,

Re: Your comment Well that is really a subject of great debate as to whether they refuted me or not..at least not from Scripture...

Actually, you have never been able to defend your "Bible only" position from the Bible only. All you have done is to post yards of passages containing the word WORD, but with no clear specification in the Bible as to whether the WORD being referred to in the Scripture passages is the "written Word" or the "oral Word."

If you now say that you are turning to extra Biblical sources such as theologians, etc., then you are contradicting yourself.

Catholics believe that the Apostolic succession embodied in the Popes and bishops in full loyal communion with the Pope IS Biblical.....and CLEARLY STATED. We also have the historical documents of the Church Fathers to back it up. If you have chosen to reject the Catholic Rule of Faith, fine, but you had better be able to defend your own position from the BIBLE ONLY if you want to preserve even last shreds of your credibility. Quoting yards of Scriptures containing the word WORD proves nothing.

One is reminded of Mr. Enlightenment in C.S. Lewis' PILGRIM'S REGRESS who thinks in terms of:

"If you make the same guess often enough, it ceases to be a guess and becomes a scientific fact."

Even if you ASSUME the passages in Scripture containing the word WORD means "written Word" a million times, that isn't going to make your subjective assumption become an objective truth.

News and views of Constance Cumbey concerning "Radical Middle", New Age Movement, Communitarianism, "planetary humanism," "global governance," European Union, Javier Solana, Jeremy Rifkin, "New Age Politics," law in the USA, combined with life in general -- sometimes humorous, sometimes not!

But even if Constance's blog WERE created exclusively for the purpose of examining the New Age Movement in light of Scripture that is NOT what you do and you know it!

You just USE "examining the New Age Movement in light of Scripture" here as a pretext for trashing Judaism and Catholicism( as well as other Chalcedonian and Nicene Christians) and think that by digging up a few token New Age articles as your "price of admission" you are thereby entitled to spend the rest of your blog time here hate-mongering.

I have never been on any crusade to have you banned from this blog. Neither have I ever put Constance on the spot by asking her to take sides - even in any of our most heated "discussions."

Moreover, if you were to simply confine yourself to the discussion of a specific New Age issue and the particular way in which it is being smuggled into this or that particular religious community - Catholic included - I wouldn't have a problem with that.

Others here like Rudi have respectfully asked me about various Catholic orders like Maryknoll as well as other Catholic issues and they can vouch for the fact that I haven't minced any words in criticizing the heretical (by ALL Christian standards whether Catholic OR Protestant)hidden agenda embraced by many of them.

Everyone who knows me also KNOWS that I am the FIRST one to drop the hammer on ANY CATHOLIC whether it be a lay person, or member of the Catholic clergy who may be trying to smuggle New Age teachings into the Church.

They also know that I VERY rarely criticize other non-Catholic Christian religions.

But in your case, I am going to make an exception since it is at your own invitation and because you yourself claim to be an ex-Catholic.

    You said:

... you might ask yourself the question why someone who was raised in the Catholic system and is now born-again has such a hard time with the teachings.. This would be a more logical approach.

There is an old saying that "if you don't act the way you think, soon you begin to think the way you act."

It has been my experience that most Catholics who leave the Church do so because they can't live up to the Church's teachings on morality - especially sexual morality. Divorce and remarriage, contraception, etc.

This is why they, unlike Protestants who leave their particular communion, are usually so desperate to "disprove" the Catholic Church's authority. If they honestly and truly believed that their leaving the Catholic Church was the right thing to do and were truly at peace with it, they would just simply write the Pope off as no longer having any meaningful moral influence in their lives, ignore him and move on.

As a Catholic, I have had a few non-Catholic Christians tell me that I was going to hell in a hand basket for what I believed. But since I do not acknowledge their authority over me in matters of faith and morals, I have been able to shrug off their comments and simply ignore them. Not only have I never lost a moment of sleep over their dire prognostications about my immortal soul, but I also have never felt that I had to make a second career out of vilifying these people or trying to portray them as an "embodiment of evil" in some kind of warped "Manichaean" style.

You mentioned your "strong statements about Israel."

Earlier, I posted an article by a Jewish author, Catriel Sugarman, Researcher on Jewish Issues, Social Critic, Lecturer who made some equally strong statements about Messianic Judaism.

Ms. Sugarman's article is entitled MESSIANIC SYNAGOGUES TARGET JEWS BUT HIT CHRISTIANS SOME OF WHOM ARE CONVERTING TO JUDAISM
and it was featured on the JEWISH VOICE blog.

Apparently, Israel is NOT on the same page as you are.

In case the article got lost in the shuffle on this thread, I am going to repost the link to the article here.

    http://jewishvoiceandopinion.com/a/JVO20090205.html

What I found particularly interesting was the author's comments about "two house theology," and its more intense hate-mongering "two seed theology" cousin that goes tandem with Christian Identity whose White Supremacist/Neo-Nazi arm is Aryan Nations.

    Their theology is Manichaean "dualist."

Understanding Christianity Identity requires understanding a few basic aspects of their ideology and theology: they are not fundamentalists and in fact disagree with fundamentalism on a number of key points, they hate the Jews with an incredible and almost indescribable passion, and they have adopted a Manichean Dualism in which Satan is just about as powerful as God.

    http://www.againstnazi.com
    /christian_identity_
    movement.htm

They portray Judaism, the Catholic Church and all non-Catholic Chalcedonian/Nicene Christians ("Judeo-Christian") as the "embodiment of evil"

Now let me be clear here. I don't hate you either, Joyce. And I am NOT saying that you or your particular congregation is necessarily joined at the hip with these creatures. But according to Ms. Sugarman, the beliefs of Messianic Judaism are definitely leaning in that direction.

As the saying goes, "If you lie down with dogs, you risk getting their fleas."

    Joyce,

Since you LOVE the BIBLE SO MUCH. You should know where the word Bible came from and who coined it.

    http://www.davidmacd.com/catholic/are_catholics_christian.htm

The non-Catholic scholar Peter Flint, who translated the Dead Sea Scrolls, tells us that there was no Bible until 397's when the Catholic Church infallibly decided on what books belong there. Before that there were hundreds of letters and the Septuagint.

Even the word Bible is not in the Bible. It was coined by Catholics. It means books from the Greek word βυβλος-byblos meaning "papyrus", from the ancient Phoenician city of Byblos which exported papyrus, the "paper" of the day.

    We LOVE the BIBLE. Honest!

    Hi everyone,
Would someone please just for everyone's sake state the simple gospel that is simple enough for a child to understand? You don't need 10 page theological arguments to understand God. Regarding the Catholic church, I grew up Catholic Constance and if all they taught was the creed, great. Where do you see in scripture to pray to Mary and sing praises to her and that she was sinless and ever Virgin? Where do you see in scripture that she is co-redeemer with Jesus? Where do you see to pay money to have masses and light candles for the deceased? If the Pope were infalllibe there wouldn't be such nonsense! There are Christians in the Catholic church-the ones who trust in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation.

Joyce, let me get this straight. You feel the need to trash Catholics (and who else follows the religion you attempt to trash other than Catholics) and Jews. You feel justified in doing that.

Now there are a lot of people who believe that Messianic Judaism is a very destructive religion and anyone who preaches any part of it is deliberately misleading others. I would suggest everyone read the entire article on Messianic Judaism. We have been very kind to your belief system over these many months, but it is time for the gloves to come off.

As you have advised others, if you don't want to read what we post, just close the comments instead of whining about personal insults.

I, for one, hope Constance never stops your meanderings. They provide an example of the kind of muddled thinking we should all avoid.

Good response Suzanna. When Joyce asked for an intelligent response to her comments, you provided it. As St. Theresa said, and Joyce should note, "More tears are shed over answered prayers than unanswered ones." You prayed Joyce. You got. Now cry.

Catholics are not just the vatican and the politics of the Hierarchy, they are mostly good people.
Such as those nuns who ran the orphanages in Canada who took in my mother in law a half indian, and gave her, her first and only home,as she was raised in that orphanage, taught her right from wrong, and fed her when no others would. The nuns and the people are the whole of catholics, and they do and have done much good in this world.

    Dear Anonymous (2:39 PM):

Maybe you should have followed your OWN rule and stopped at the end of your second sentence.

IF, in fact, you actually DID "grow up Catholic" -- then you would already know that Catholics do not believe, nor do they ever go around saying, that Mary is a "co-redeemer."

And, you would also KNOW that the Pope's infaliibility has to do with his decisions on Catholic teachings in matters of faith -- and not with the Pope as a human being (with faults and weaknesses like the rest of us).

And, you would also know that Catholics simply HONOR Mary as the mother of Jesus Christ -- and it only makes sense that a woman worthy enough to give birth to the Son of God would have to be someone pure and free from sin.

And, maybe your family failed in their responsibility to teach you any of these things when you "grew up Catholic"???

    Shem1777,

    Re SSSS......

All those destined for captivity, will go into captivity.

Few of us really believed the warnings that our televisions, let alone our computers, could actually lead us into temptation.

Even when the danger became obvious, we often ignored the harm to ourselves or our families as pure evil was invited into our homes night after night in the form of lewd programming and vile advertisements.

We got really good at making excuses.

Now we have clear evidence that our beloved electronic devices have the potential to lead us straight into bondage. And soon. But even armed with that 'knowledge', how many of us have the will to shut the door?

Despite all the warnings........in a time of crisis, guess where most of us will be? That's right, watching CNN or FOX News or sitting in front of a liquid crystal computer screen trying to bring up the Drudge Report or maybe post the latest bit of info to Constance's blog.

The information age has done a very good job of breeding "info junkies". Maybe that anon blogger awhile back, the one who warned us not to look at Maitreya, or even speak his name, or turn the TV on when "he" was to appear, knew what he was talking about. I'm not saying we should have a spirit of fear, quite the contrary. I am saying we are not supposed to be stupid and it's high time we stand up and reject this Google world and all it's trappings.

As a side note, as I was researching the info on SSSS, (and this is probably a moot point in the scheme of things), I came across a discrepancy concerning who patented the original technology and when. There are likely a multitude of patents for variations or additional features, but as far as the original patent is concerned, another blogger dealing with the subject wrote some interesting things...

The Silent Sound Spread Spectrum (SSSS) technology, also known as S-quad, was developed by Dr. Oliver Lowery of Georgia, USA, and is described in US Patent #5,159,703 as Silent Subliminal Presentation System. The abstract for the patent reads:

"A silent communications system in which nonaural carriers, in the very low or very high audio-frequency range or in the adjacent ultrasonic frequency spectrum are amplitude- or frequency-modulated with the desired intelligence and propagated acoustically or vibrationally, for inducement into the brain, typically through the use of loudspeakers, earphones, or piezoelectric transducers. The modulated carriers may be transmitted directly in real time or may be conveniently recorded and stored on mechanical, magnetic or optical media for delayed or repeated transmission to the listener.""

The patent(s) exist, the technology is real, and the timing is perfect.

All sounds very interesting, eh? Makes one want to know more.

Or go off the grid and move to Montana.

The star that heralds Maitreya’s emergence

“In the very near future, people everywhere will have the opportunity to witness an extraordinary and significant sign, the like of which has been manifested only once before, at the birth of Jesus. Then, according to Christian teaching, a star appeared in the heavens and led three wise men from the East to the birthplace of Jesus. Soon, once again, a star-like luminary of brilliant power will be seen around the world.” (Benjamin Creme’s Master, ‘Maitreya’s first interview’, SI Jan/Feb 2009)

On 12 December 2008 Share International distributed a news release announcing that in the very near future a large, bright star will appear in the sky visible throughout the world, night and day. Around a week later Maitreya will give His first interview on a major US television programme. Since early January 2009, sightings of the star have been reported from all over the world and more and more sightings are being sent to us daily.

Share International has also received many reports which Benjamin Creme’s Master has confirmed to be of the planet Venus and not ‘the star’. We are happy to receive these reports even if they turn out to be wrong. It shows us how more and more people around the world are responding to our information.

Being respectful of one another's sincerely held religious beliefs is not the same thing as agreeing with them. Neither is it "false ecumenism."

It is an instance of "obeying the Great Commandment" ......which, by the way, is in the Bible!

"35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him (Jesus) with this question:

36"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"

37Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'

38This is the first and greatest commandment.

39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'

40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Well, then Mary's parents must have been pure and free from sin as well.

The Scriptural truth, however, that “all have sinned,
and come short of the glory of God,”11 applies to Mary, as well as to all believers. Mary’s
position as a saved sinner is seen also in the following scriptures, “[Joseph and Mary came to
Jerusalem] to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of
turtledoves, or two young pigeons.”12 That was accordance with the law of the Lord, “as a burnt
offering, sin offering.”13 Mary’s example teaches us both to give thanks to God for His mercies
to us and to acknowledge ourselves as sinners saved by His grace. Then there is the famous
praise song of Mary, in which she proclaimed, “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit has
rejoiced in God my Savior....’”14 God is called “Savior,” as He saves His people from sin. Even
the mother of the Lord had need of her Savior and would have been spiritually lost without Him.

No, I don't feel any hostility toward anyone on this blog.

We Catholics believe in the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception that teaches that the Blessed Virgin Mary was born without the stain of original sin. This was for the primary purpose of allowing her to be worthy enough to be conceived by the Holy Spirit so she could give birth to Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

anonymous 3:20:"And, you would also know that Catholics simply HONOR Mary as the mother of Jesus Christ"

It is not a matter of simply honoring, it is much more serious than simply honoring.

“...Therefore the Blessed Virgin is invoked in the [Roman Catholic] Church under the titles
of Advocate, Helper, Benefactress, and Mediatrix. This, however, is so understood that it
neither takes away anything from nor adds anything to the dignity and efficacy of Christ the
    one Mediator”

The Vatican Council II explanation of how it is possible to have Mary in the role of a
mediatrix is a classic example of Roman Catholic double talk. While presenting two mediators,
the claim is made that Mary does not “obscure or diminish from this unique mediation of
Christ.” Rather than upholding the truth of the Scripture, the teaching of Rome is a highly
inflated lie. This is proven by the actual practice of ordinary Catholics based on such dogma in
catechisms and prayer books. The ordinary Catholic who looks to Mary as feminine mediator is
thereby impeded and hindered from putting his trust in Christ Jesus alone. Jesus Christ is the
only way to the Father. The Man Christ Jesus is the one Mediator in heaven, “believe on the
Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.”56 This is solid fact. Yet historically, and at present,
the Vatican officially denies this truth by proclaiming Mary as a feminine Mediator, and as the
    Queen of heaven.

The Holy Spirit is the believer’s Helper and Advocate. The Vatican, however, endeavors to
teach that Mary is also the believer’s Advocate and Helper. Thus it is officially stated,

“...Therefore the Blessed Virgin is invoked in the [Roman Catholic] Church under the titles of
    Advocate, Helper, Benefactress….”

What is so serious regarding these titles is the fact that in
the Bible the Comforter, the Helper sent to take the Lord’s place on earth for believers and to
indwell them, is the Holy Spirit. He abides with believers forever (John 14:16). He brings to
mind Christ’s words (John 14:26). He testifies not to Himself but to Christ (John 15:26). He
guides believers into all truth (John 16:13). Truly the Holy Spirit is another Advocate, a divine Helper, the Comforter, and the Spirit of Truth. The seriousness of teaching that these divine roles of the Holy Spirit, and that of Christ Jesus as sole mediator, belong also to “Mary” is that such teaching blasphemes the divine Persons of the Lord Christ Jesus and of the Holy Spirit.

You are absolutely right in saying that Mary had to be redeemed like everyone else. But we Catholics believe that Mary was pre-redeemed in a more perfect way than the rest of humanity in view of her role as Mother of God made Man.

Now you don't have to agree with what Catholics believe, but I think it is important that you have an accurate understanding of what it is you are disagreeing with.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immaculate_Conception

I think it is important to emphasize here that what we Catholics believe about Mary isn't important primarily because of what it reveals to us about Mary, but rather because of what it reveals to us about her Son, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

To reply to your legitimate particular concern about Mary needing redemption:

The efficient cause of the Immaculate Conception was Almighty God. The meritorious cause (of the Immaculate Conception) was the Redemption by Jesus Christ. It follows from this that even Mary was in need of redemption, and was, in fact, redeemed "by the grace of Christ," in a more perfect way than other human beings. Christ's redemption frees all humanity from Original Sin. The uniqueness of what Christ has done for Mary is that she was freed from Original Sin before ever inheriting it, while the rest of humanity is freed after it has been inherited from Adam and Eve. Thus, this dogma in no way contradicts the dogma that all children of Adam are subject to Original Sin and in need of a savior.

It was God the Father who made the decision to elevate Mary to the very highly HONORED position of giving birth to His only Son, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ when she was conceived by the Holy Ghost (while remaing a virgin).

I don't feel that this very honored position (that was decided by God Himself) requires me to defend her to you.

If you have a prohlem with that, you're taking it up with the wrong person.

Maybe you should take up your obsessive, hostile concerns with God Himself when you pass on to the other side. I'm sure HE would be happy to explain everything to you . . . and in a much better way than I could possibly explain it.

And, if Jesus has decided to make his mother Mary the Queen of Heaven - are you going to object to that also when you see HIM???

We may ALL be meeting Him a lot sooner that we think.

Maybe I am confused but why would Satan want to decieve those who are already decieved, ie Moslems and Jews?

By the way that was very generous providing your books online free of charge! Someone mentioned it on another Christian forum today.

Most certainly Jesus is the one and only mediator between man and God. The Catholic Church teaches that there are no subordinate co-deities, no additional redeemers, no additional mediators.

    Christ is the centre
There is no other way of Christian prayer than Christ. Whether our prayer is communal or personal, vocal or interior, it has access to the Father only if we pray "in the name" of Jesus... to invoke him (Catechism 2665-2666)

I think that Christians in heaven pray through Christ much better than you and me. They are much closer to Christ than you and me. Evangelicals pray for each other, and they don't say they are taking God's place. When we pray for one another we are participating in the mediation but we are not the mediator. Catholics feel that saints in heaven, including Mary, can pray for us just as well (or infinitely better) than our friends on earth.

In Hebrews 8:6, it says Jesus has obtained a more excellent ministry than any of the high priests. In 9:15 and 12:24 the passage goes on to say he is the mediator of a New Covenant, Catholics fully agree. We fully agree he is the mediator. We think Christians in heaven are a heck of a lot more aware of who Christ is than we are. The Bible says that he has helpers that participate in his ministry by his invitation. We believe he has invited Christians on both sides of heaven to do that.

When a saint enters into the joy of their Master, they are "put in charge of many things" (Mat 25:21)

Mary is a serious prayer warriors. I don't think that praying with her detracts from the worship of God anymore than praying with friends detracts from worship of God.

    The Catechism says:

Jesus, the only mediator, is the way of our prayer; Mary, his mother and ours, is wholly transparent to him...the Churches developed their prayer to the holy Mother of God, centering it on the person of Christ manifested in his mysteries. (Catechism 2675)

Catholics see an interesting comparison between Mary, the mother of Jesus, and Eve in Genesis. Eve stands between the human race and sin and the Fall. She is in a sense the "mediatrix" of original sin (Gen 3:3-24). Catholics believe Mary's "yes" (Lk 1:2) to God and his plan of redemption, reversed Eve's "no" and reversed Eve's refusal to obey and cooperate with God. Mary's "yes" and cooperation with Grace blew away Eve's "no" and fall from Grace. Catholics think it is not by accident that Eve (the woman) came out of the body of Adam (the man), and that Jesus (the man/God) came out of the body of Mary (the woman). This view was put forth by St. Justin who lived from about 110 to 165 A.D. and is consistent with Paul's comparison of Jesus to Adam.

Catholics believe Mary spells out her role in eternity in Luke 1:46-49

    My soul magnifies the Lord,
And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.
    For He has regarded the lowly state of his maidservant;
For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed.

So her role is to magnify the Lord and rejoice in God her Saviour. She is to be humble (which she is). In order for a magnifying glass to magnify something, one must look through it at the object. The magnifying glass is not the thing that we are looking at. In fact, if we focus on the magnifying glass, we will not see the object that is magnified. In the same way Catholics look through Mary at Jesus. Catholics believe that is what Mary has asked. That is what Catholics call "Mediatrix." In this passage of Luke, We also have been called upon to do something: to call her blessed.

At the wedding at Cana where Jesus began his public ministry, Jesus did not want to perform the miracle. But Mary said to the servant "Do whatever he tells you to do." (Jn 3.3) Jesus did perform the miracle and his public ministry began. Jesus wouldn't even start his public ministry without his mother's instigation.

Even Martin Luther spoke to Mary in the first person saying:

"No woman is like you. You are more than Eve or Sarah, blessed above all nobility, wisdom, and sanctity. (Sermon, Feast of the Visitation, 1537)."

  182. I need some help from my bretheren here. As I am sure someone will have the info I am requesting.

I was watching a "documentary" on the History channel, (I know their version of history is mixed with half truths and whole lies) this particular program was regarding Nazi Germany and how leaders of the SS and other war criminals escaped prosecution.

During the program they mentioned a fabled group that called themselves ODESSA. This group according to the program funded not only the escape of hunndreds of the SS, but continues to fund projects they deem suitable, most of which Hitler would have been proud of. Many of these projects obviously reflect the NA goals perfectly.

Doing some minor digging I have all but confirmed ODESSA's existence. I have even seen some assasinations that were claimed in letters by the group. Any info any one has on the group I would like to see. However what I am interested in trying to find, is if anyone has any info that would link ODESSA more prominantly to NA projects. Either through funding, or even open letters from the group.

In documents I have seen ODESSA would love nothing more than to see the rise of a fourth reich. There fore one would think the UN, NA would be right in their ball park. I know ODESSA's players operate mostly under anonimity, however any direct links even if by claim or association would be appreciated. The SS who escaped to South America are of particular interest, considering how they helped shape governments in Argentina and Venezeula.

Any info from my friends here would be appreciated, no matter how insignificant it may seem. I have a nagging feeling that if we can follow the money on this one, we mat see how some of the groups have managed to fund this atrocity.

This statement - Now you don't have to agree with what Catholics believe, but I think it is important that you have an accurate understanding of what it is you are disagreeing with.
Is by far one of the bests of all the posts and applies to any side of the fence.
Eventually - we may all move on
[hey just say "yes we can" :-)]

yeah - yeah - I know - its important to some - others seek different discussions though -

    Silvia,

Mediatrix has never been declared a dogma of the Church.

"All Holy One is simply a synonym for "Immaculate Conception."

"Helper and "advocate" simply means that we believe Mary prays for us to Jesus because just as Jesus performed His first miracle at the request of His mother Mary, so will Jesus help us at her request when "we have no wine."

For her part, the only "command" that the "Queen of Heaven" ever gave is recorded in Scriptures:

"DO WHATEVER HE (JESUS) TELLS YOU."
    John 2:5

    Words to live by.

Re: the differnet religions discussed and the tolerance so many look for, I have a quick thought. I too, believe God's Word is the one place we can find truth and yes truth matters. As a Christian for many years, I understand there are SECONDARY issues we can all agree to disagree on, however, on the foundational PRIMARY issues one must be dogmatic. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the catholic church is wrong in some very foundational areas. Example, their concept of Mary, their confessions to their priest, purgatory just to name a few. If anyone disagrees with my doctrinal view that is fine, I am secure enough that I'm happy to listen to reasoning, will examine it in the light of scripture and make my decision accordingly. The most loving thing one person can do for another is to be truthful, especially when the consequeces are so far reaching. I have been a little taken back by the beating put upon Joyce, if you disagree with her, discuss the merits of her argument, it's not necessary to get so personal and hostile, clearly she hit a nerve. I would encourage you all to run to the Scripture as the Bereans did, search them for yourselves. The stakes are high, TRUTH MATTERS.

Jaclyn, there is no discussing with Joyce. She's like the energizer bunny who just goes on and on with yards and yards of postings, never pausing to stop to respond to serious comments. Watch..after all of this she'll be back tomorrow or the day after bashing Catholics and giving her interpretations of Bible passages.

The internet and media are filled with commentary. Each writer, cartoonist, ad placer, feels their views are so important they deserve unlimited commentary in return.

If you think it is important to respond point by point to all of the Michael Moores and Joyces in the world before commenting on their overall style and methods, go to it. You'll just be wasting a lot of time.

    Hi DouginMI,

    Thank you.

LOL There are so many bizarre things that Catholics are accused of believing that some of us just thought it might be helpful to set the record straight without "sending anyone to hell" for not agreeing with us.

Were it not that we felt duty-bound to defend our beliefs that were being gratuitously trashed, we would indeed have liked to move on to different discussions long before this.

But in any case, let's do move on right now.

Have you seen my posts on Paul Le Cour who was involved with some sinister secret societies in Paris, was an associate of the mysterious alchemist who went by the name "Fulcanelli" and whose book THE AGE OF AQUARIUS preceded the late Marilyn Ferguson's book AQUARIAN CONSPIRACY?

Mary is invoked in the church under the title of Mediatrix according to vatican II documents so being it a dogma or not would just be a formality.

    Vatican teaching declares,
“By asking Mary to pray for us, we acknowledge ourselves to be poor sinners and we address
ourselves to the ‘Mother of Mercy,’ the All Holy One.”
“From the [Roman Catholic] Church he [the Catholic] learns the example of holiness and
recognizes its model and source in the all-holy Virgin Mary...”

“who shall not fear thee O Lord and glorify Thy name for thou only art holy and all
nations shall come and worship before thee.”

Biblically speaking the only Helper/comforter for the believer is God's Holy Spirit.

Susanna, i know you are dedicated to your cause as i am to mine but for the sake of others it's good to bring some clarity in what the rcc really stands for and what biblical christianity stands for.

    Jaclyn,

How come you haven't been "taken aback" by the hate sites and hate videos gratuitously presented by Joyce that refer to the Catholic Church in such terms as the "Whore of Babylon?"

Look, I am sure you mean well posting your "why can't we all just get along" speech, but you really need to go and deliver it to one who started the "Biblically justified" (???) anti-Catholic trashfest to begin with.

Out of respect for my Protestant brethren here, I rarely bring up specifically Catholic beliefs (you can go check the blog for yourself) unless it is to merely explain certain things so that people will understand what I am talking about....and even then, I am careful to point out that what I am talking about is a specifically Catholic belief so that non-Catholics will not be confused or deceived into thinking that it is something they are required to believe as Protestants.

I have not been the one to bring up Mary, Purgatory, Papal Infallibility, etc. out of the clear blue with a view to "converting" anyone.

It is Joyce and a very few others who have brought up these subjects out of the clear blue with a view to trashing them - and when everyone was minding his own business and not even bothering Joyce or saying anything offensive about her controversial religion.

Since I do not go around trashing other peoples religious beliefs I don't see any reason why I should have to sit back and tolerate having mine trashed.

I personally think it's a good thing when people grapple with doctrine. Why is something SO IMPORTANT to be off limits? Also, it's okay to be passionate, but no need for hostility, I've seen that line blurred and it ought not be that way.

  196. Just my two cents on the Mary debate going on here.

    1) Her conception of Jesus was immaculate, scripture tells us Jesus would be and was born of a virgin.
    2) Her bloodline was what merited this honor. While I do believe she must have been a woman who sought the Father in her life, her lineage that dated back to David was what garnered her the honor. Scripture tells us this both in prophecy regarding the coming messiah, and is confirmed with the run down of her family tree. To call her holy is borderline blasphemy if you ask me, as only the Father is worthy of this title. We are told many times in scripture not to lend reverence to things of this world. This include people, which the apostles, Mary, Joseph, and priests of all denominations fall into.

Don't get me wrong, these people did great things FOR the glory of the Father. However this in no way makes them holy. Nor does this place anyone of these people above even the least of us. For if we are truly born again, we are given all of the authority they had. These "great things" these servants of our Lord performed, Jesus granted us the same authority and power to perform.
In John, Jesus addresses the difference between those who were with Him and the believers, (like us) that would come later.

John 20:29 Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.

Thanks for the links, but I'm not interested in:

"An invitation - pray to Jesus about Mary

I hope I have not caused anxiety with this article. I wish only to help build a bridge between Catholics and Protestants. I don't believe that avoiding Mary will help build this bridge."

The building of a bridge between catholics and protestants is one of the goals of the new age movemment. The movers and shakers know that the only way to get protestants to accept some forms of mysticism is by embracing roman catholicism.

    To Sylvia (8:39 PM):

You may need to go back and brush up on your "New Age 101" again.

The New Agers' goal is to pit the Protestants against the Cstholics and the Jews (and they seem to have been successful on this blog.)

Their ultimate goal is to cause dissention ane disruption . . . but the "joke" is on all 3 of our groups who will one day be targeted for extermination.

So, if we can just TRY and focus on the real enemy, people . . .
