MOSCOW, Feb 11 (Reuters) - European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana said on Wednesday the next Israeli government must restart serious peace negotiations with the Palestinians.Well, I wonder just how long Dr. Solana's patience is going to hold with Israel? I predict it will run out, most likely, no time before mid 2010 -- just about the time that his Barcelona Process / cum Mediterranean Union / cum European Neighbourhood Policy is up for mid-term review!
"I think if we continue in a crisis management mode, if we don't enter into a conflict resolution mode it will be going back and back again," Solana told Reuters in an interview.
"It will have to be a government ready to continue to restart a very serious process of negotiation," Solana said after talks in Moscow with Russian officials.
Time and events shall tell. Stay tuned!

Dr. Solana is not the only leader voicing these thoughts about the necessity of dividing Israel and probably Jerusalem. It seems the only people in the news who are on the side of preserving the basic lands of Israel are conservative Christians and conservative Jews.
ReplyDeleteA conservative religious party came in third in the elections yesterday in Israel. It will be up to Kadima or Likud to woo this party into coalition, but this party is pretty devoted to NOT giving away vital parts of Israel and thus undermining Israel's defense. There are maybe twenty other parties, though, right and left, so we shall see who can form a coalition.

Not all that long ago Benjamin Netanyahu opposed the Gaza Plan (which was ramrodded through without putting it to a referendum) and rightly predicted that the plan would turn the Gaza Strip into a huge terror base.
ReplyDeleteIn a January 28, 2009 Jerusalem Post article, Netanyahu spoke out sharply against the possibility of dividing Jerusalem.
NETANYAHU:A DIVIDED J'LEM WOULD MEAN IRANIAN BASE MERE METERS AWAY
Likud leader Binyamin Netanyahu spoke sharply against the possibility of dividing Jerusalem under any circumstances and vowed to preserve the capital undivided.
Speaking at the Jerusalem Conference, the prime ministerial hopeful said "we have proved our full loyalty to a whole Jerusalem as part of Israel's sovereign territory. We will continue with this policy despite the creeping infiltration of a trend to divide the city and this is being said not only by our political opponents but also by those who presumably would be considered our allies."
"Everyone knows what would happen if we give away parts of Jerusalem. If we leave, someone else would come in and it will be Hamas, which means Iran would step in. This would mean an Iranian base would rise mere meters from here," he added.
"Giving up parts of Jerusalem will strengthen terror. Giving up the Temple Mount will bring the polar opposite of inter-religious peace. Those who seek peace would preserve Jerusalem undivided. An undivided Jerusalem under Israel's sovereignty would allow freedom of worship to all three religions," Netanyahu said.

“What would have happened had we not built all those neighborhoods?” Netanyahu asked. “Jerusalem would have been choked.” Moreover, he said, “transferring sovereignty over those areas to the Palestinian Authority is not an option. RABBI SPEAKS ON POPE BENEDICT CONTROVERSY: LEFTIST CATHOLICS USING JEWS TO ATTACK THE POPE
ReplyDelete(Rabbi Yehuda Levin, a prominent Jewish Rabbi who represents over 1000 Rabbis in North America says, "church hierarchy should take strong action in dealing with this type of insurrection")
....German dissident priest-theologian Hans Kung is one such left-wing Catholic, who recently suggested in an article that Barack Obama would make a better Pope than Benedict. Writing in the German publication Sueddeutsche, Kung expressed his wish that Obama were the Pope. "The mood in the church is oppressive, reforms are paralyzed, and the church in crisis," he said. "Benedict is unteachable in matters of birth control and abortion, arrogant and without transparency and restrictive of freedom and human rights."
Immediately after the media brought to light the comments by Bishop Williamson on the holocaust, the Pope - who was not previously aware of Williamson's position - denounced his statements; the head of the SSPX did the same. The Vatican insisted that the Bishop would have to, in order to be a Bishop in good standing within the Church, "distance himself, in an absolutely unequivocal and public manner, from his positions" regarding the Jewish holocaust. Moreover, the SSPX removed Williamson from his post as head of their seminary in Argentina.
The mainstream media was slow to report on all these latter details and so, for a time, Jewish groups continued to express outrage at the decision to lift the excommunications of the bishops. Last week, as news of the Pope's reaction got out, those same Jewish groups let up on their pressure, pressure which was used by liberal Catholics within the Church to criticize the Pope.
Two liberal German theologians called on the Pope to resign over the affair. Several bishops also criticized the Pope, notably Cardinal Karl Lehmann, a former chairman of the German bishops' conference. In contrast, several faithful Bishops thanked the Pope for his action to reach out to the SSPX to foster unity, and also criticized Bishop Williamson for his remarks.
Rabbi Levin suggests that there is a "silver lining" within the crisis. "It has now become very clear, for all to see, the extreme danger that having some who hold high positions in the church seeking to destroy their own church and attack their own pope." He added: "The silver lining is that its now that the battle lines have been drawn."
"The remedy, I believe," said the Rabbi, "is that church hierarchy should take strong action in dealing with this type of insurrection." He added: "This should be a significant signal to the Pope, that it is absolutely essential that the right people be appointed in every place all over the world. And church faithful need to have unambiguous leadership that's totally in line with traditional church teaching."....read entire article....

ReplyDeleteMississippi Passes Legislation Protecting Gun Owners During Martial Law
Mississippi lawmakers have passed a bill to protect the state’s residents during martial law. On the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Mississippi website, Phil Bryant announces the passage of SB 2036. The legislation “restricts the power of a peace officer to confiscate firearms and ammunitions in an emergency or during a time of martial law,” according to the website.
It is significant that Lieutenant Governor Bryant mentions the law applies to martial law.
Mississippi Senator Merle Flowers authored the bill and referred it to the Judiciary on January 6. It passed the Senate on February 4. According to the Mississippi bill status website, the act amends Section 33-7-303 of Mississippi Code of 1972 and “explicitly restrict the power to confiscate firearms and ammunitions in an emergency.”
Mississippi passes the law reaffirming the Second Amendment at approximately the same time a number of states are introducing and passing resolutions and bills declaring sovereignty from the federal government and buttressing the Tenth Amendment.

Mariel,
ReplyDeleteZech. 12:2-3 “Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples around; and when the siege is against Jerusalem, it will also be against Judah. “It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.
Just a little word of warning to Mr. Solana, Obama, and all the other world leaders from the Prophet Zechariah.
I would put it this way, the ones who have the fear of God, which is the beginning of wisdom wouldn't dare to think that they have the right to interfere with His Land. It's because those of us who believe Scripture know that He will enter into judgement with those who mess with the Land.
Joel 3:1-2 “For behold, in those days and at that time, When I brestore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all the nations
And bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will center into judgment with them there On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; And they have divided up My land.
And another one from the prophet Joel...
If you don't take Scripture literally, then you can do whatever you want and rationalize it. Those who don't believe in God and think they are God of course will us humanism to rationalize what they are doing.
When a politician who is not a believer speaks like this I am not surprised but when the so called believers gather together against God and rationalize, I call that apostasy.
If we are going to believe God at His Word then we can't pick and chose which words we like...we either accept all of Scripture or reject it. Don't know if you my post on the last topic, but if you go back you will see that people who theoretically believe in the Bible have no problem ignoring Scriptures that clearly speak against dividing God's Land, some of these same groups have no problem "reviewing the way homosexuality is dealt with".
The problem is that once we can ignore one part of Scripture, then we can ignore all of it.. or as our Messiah Yeshua said:
Matt. 5:13 “You are the salt of the earth; but aif the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men.
Jer. 31:36 “If this fixed order departs
From before Me,” declares the LORD,
“Then the offspring of Israel also will cease
From being a nation before Me forever.”
Those that don't understand this will certainly not understand what awaits them if they fight against God, which is ultimately what they are doing. I don't envy Solana, Obama, Hillary Clinton, George Mitchell, EU, UN the Arab nations, Russia, China, etc. For a little while it might appear as they are having their way, but they will soon see who the Holy One of Israel is.

From WorldNetDaily (02/12/09):
ReplyDeleteEvangelist: Atheists hate God since they know He exists
They already intuitively know God exists, writes Ray Comfort
In a new book sure to push the buttons of atheists, one of the most prominent evangelists in the world today charges God deniers actually know they are wrong.
Ray Comfort, in a book scheduled for release today, the 200th birthday of Charles Darwin, contends atheists hate God because he does exist.
"Atheists don't hate fairies, leprechauns, or unicorns because they don't exist," writes Comfort. "It is impossible to hate something that doesn't exist. And that makes the point."
In "You Can Lead an Atheist to Evidence but You Can't Make Him Think," Comfort, the author of 60 books and the co-host with actor Kirk Cameron, star of the hit movie "Fireproof," of a weekly television show about personal evangelism, offers a different approach to engaging atheists in dialogue.
"We don't have to prove that God exists to the professing atheist," he writes. "This is because he intuitively knows that He exists. Every person has a God-given conscience. The Bible tells us that this is the 'work of the law written on their hearts.' Just as every sane human being knows that it's wrong to lie, steal, kill and commit adultery, he knows that God should be first in his life."

ReplyDeleteThat would be convenient timing, however there are several things that make it explicitly clear that we are not yet in the 70th week, if you review the prophetic texts in the Bible (from whence comes the 70th week prophecy).

Personaly I believe we are in a 10-20 year time period (pending choices made) before the 70th week. This would be if you compare the "nation" Isreal with the expected life cycle of a Jewish male. ReplyDeleteIf the Bush Treasury had not acted quickly and made the money available immediately, the United States and perhaps the world’s banking system would have collapsed by 2 p.m. on Sept. 18, Kanjorski said.
"Five-and-a-half trillion dollars would have been drawn out of the money market system of the United States, would have collapsed the entire economy of the world, and within 24 hours, the world economy would have collapsed," he said.
"It would have been the end of our political system and economic system as we know it."
The two witnesses, who some think are Moses and Elijah..are two olive branches. We know the olive tree represents Israel.
ReplyDeleteZech. 4:11-14 Then I said to him, “What are these atwo olive trees on the right of the lampstand and on its left?” And I answered the second time and said to him, “What are the two olive branches which are beside the two golden pipes, which empty the golden oil from themselves?” So he answered me, saying, “Do you not know what these are?” And I said, “No, my lord.” Then he said, “These are the two anointed ones who are standing by the Lord of the whole earth.”
Ezek. 37:16-19 “And you, son of man, take for yourself aone stick and write on it, ‘For Judah and for the sons of Israel, his companions’; then take another stick and write on it, ‘For cJoseph, the stick of Ephraim and all the house of Israel, his companions.’ “Then ajoin them for yourself one to another into one stick, that they may become one in your hand. “When the sons of your people speak to you saying, ‘Will you not declare to us awhat you mean by these?’ say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel, his companions; and I will put them with it, with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they will be one in My hand.”’
I have thought that the "two sticks" which also can mean two branches in the hebrew, refer to the two olive branches from Zechariah, which is of course a reference to the two witnesses of Revelations.
If this is correct, the two witnesses will represent Judah ( the Jews, the Torah,) and the other witness will be from Joseph/Ephraim ( the fulness of the nations or the scattered Northern Kingdom)
What more amazing witness to see than the two houses of Israel standing together testifying to the truth of Yeshua, the Living Torah.
That doesn't rule out Moses and Elijah, because Moses from Levi could represent Judah and certainly represents Torah, and Elijah, who is expected before the day of the Lord would represent the Prophets, but could also represent the Northern Kingdom because he prophesied to the Northern Kingdom where the 10 tribes who were dispersed and never came back were.
What more powerful testimony to the return of Yeshua than the restoration of all Israel.
That's in the middle of the 7 year period of course, so presumably there will be some other signs prior to this like the confirmation of a covenant that specifically deals with the subject of Jerusalem.. I think this is implied in Scripture, when it says that Jerusalem is going to be a heavy stone. . There have been agreements concerning Israel, like Oslo, but Jerusalem is God's footstool. Prophetically it is sooo important because it is the place where the holy of holies was at the time of the Temple. It's the place where the antimessiah will stand. It is the single largest obstacle to a Mideast Peace agreement. It is the place where the Dome of the Rock is, the rock where the Muslims believe that "Ishmael was taken by Abraham"... It is the place where Yeshua will reign from, when He does finally return, so any peace agreement that will be "confirmed" must include Jerusalem.
Final status negotiations will not happen without Jerusalem.. that should provide some very important clues for us as to the who and the when. Remember, when Yeshua said "no one knows the day or the hour" He is referring to the feast of Trumpets, Yom T'ruah, which begins on a new moon. ( at the sound of the last trumpet the dead in Messiah will rise and all who are still alive will meet Him in the air). We cannot know when the new moon will come exactly. Traditionally there must be two witnesses to confirm the sighting of the new moon.. This falls during a period of repentance called the days of awe.. culminating in Yom Kippur, when all Israel will "look upon Him who they pierced and weep as one weeks for an only begotten Son."
To understand prophecy you must be following the mo'ed ( appointed times) of the Lord. This is God's sacred calendar. It is sacred time which starts with Shabbat, and after there is Pessah, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, Shavuot, Yom T'ruah( feast of trumpets) Yom Kippur and finally Sukkot, the wedding feast of the Lamb.
God has given us reminders in His calendar, to teach us things about Himself, but because the historic church blotted these out and said they weren't important we have lost the significance of sacred time and God is restoring this in our day.
All who have ears to hear, listen....
Listen carefully to His voice, I mean study the Scriptures and He will prepare you for what you need to know when the time comes..

Merchants, thrift stores, and booksellers may be at risk if they sell older volumes, or even give them away, without first subjecting them to testing—at prohibitive expense. Many used-book sellers, consignment stores, Goodwill outlets, and the like have accordingly begun to refuse new donations of pre-1985 volumes, yank existing ones off their shelves, and in some cases discard them en masse. ..."

Congressman Gives Speech in Front of Pelosi’s Office: ‘There Are More Shady Deals Going on Behind Closed Doors’
Business & Media Institute
Thursday, Feb 12, 2009
President Barack Obama has proclaimed his administration will be more open than the previous administration. However, his counterparts in the House and the Senate aren’t following suit.
The Washington Post has reported that negotiations between House and Senate Democrats have resulted in a stimulus bill with a price tag of “about $789.5 billion.” This agreement raised the ire of Rep. Tom Price, R-Ga., and he went outside of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office to express it.
“My name’s Tom Price and I represent the Sixth District of Georgia and [am] the privileged chair of the Republican Study Committee,” Price said. “It’s now noon on Wednesday. I’m standing outside the office of the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi. The door is closed. We just heard news break there’s been an agreement between the House and the Senate on the non-stimulus bill.”
Negotiators were slated to meet later in the day. However, since news of a deal was leaked to the media, Price questioned if there were “shady deals” going on.
“It’s curious because Republicans were invited to a meeting they said at 3 o’clock this afternoon,” Price continued. “What this means is there are more shady deals going on behind closed doors — without the public, without Republicans in attendance.”
The Georgia congressman had also called on congressional leaders to televise the House-Senate negotiations. However, as much as the press has helped the Obama administration trumpet a new era of transparency, there has been little call from the television media for these negotiations to be televised publicly.
“As the House and Senate move to negotiate the final text of the so-called stimulus bill, I have called on Speaker Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to make good on that promise and allow any and all House and Senate negotiations to take place in an open and public forum,” Price wrote in a Feb. 11 blog post for Red State. “By allowing television cameras in the room as negotiations take place, we can provide the transparency American taxpayers expect.”

And now we have a big windstorm as well.
Constance,
ReplyDeleteI agree in a sense that the two witnesses could be two who represent Jews and people from the nations who are "believers" because the Northern Kingdom is in the nations and as the Gospel goes out to the nations" the Lost sheep of the House of Israel" get saved and become "Christians". If their is a representative from the House of Judah ( i.e. Jew ...the biblical definition of Jew, as opposed to modern day usuage of the word Jew) it would be a Jewish believer in Yeshua.
If these 2 witnesses somehow represent the Northern and Southern Kingdoms, the Northern assimilated Israelite tribes who have come to know Yeshua, and one who represents Judah, who is the visable remnant of Israel, the arrival of these two witnesses will be to bring the "whole House of Israel" together. i.e. Jewish believer, Gentile believers who are assimilated Israelites, and the nations who attach themselves to the olive tree.
These two witnesses would testify to Yeshua being who was spoken of in the Torah and the Prophets, that He is both Messiah ben Joseph ( the suffering servant) and Messiah ben David ( the victorious king) This is such a clear theme running throughout the Bible, which is why some rabbis believe there are 2 messiahs.
You can see that both Joseph and David in a sense were redeemers of their people and brought all Israel together. Joseph accomplished this through suffering and David through military victory. The first time we seen Judah redeeming someone it is Benjamin when Joseph is going to imprison him to test the brothers, and Judah steps in to be a "substitute for Benjamin, who is son of my right hand".
Joseph represents Yeshua as the suffering servant and after his son Ephraim ( Gen 48) becomes literally the fulness of the nations, through disobedience and exile. Jeroboam was an Ephraimite.
Judah fulfills the prophecy that the sceptre would never depart from Judah, which is ultimately fulfilled in Yeshua when He reigns as king ( Gen 49). These prophecies had to be fulfilled.
Historically, in the Assyrian exile the Northern Tribes were split up and scattered. Assyria was known for this military strategy, so Ephraim ( an expression also for all of the northern kingdom) did become the "fulness of the nations" ( Romans 11:25), which is why when the gospel goes out Ephraim is being saved along with the nations.
The seed of Israel is scattered in the four corners of the earth and in the last days He who scatters will gather, along with the harvest are those from the nations who are saved, but it will be one people in the end, one body.
As for the prophecy about Jerusalem being a heavy stone being fulfilled, I know you think we are already in the 70th week of Daniel. I am not as convinced of that as you, but we'll have to wait and see. The way things are heading, I hope we don't have to hang around too, too much longer, but Abba's timing is perfect. .

The Pope is going to visit Israel, so it will be interesting to see if he goes to Yad Vashem where the famous photo of Piux XII will a less than flattering caption is, but what is more interesting are Rabbi David Rosen's comments:
"Rabbi David Rosen said the Israel visit is planned for May and that the pope told him Thursday he hopes it will be "a sign of peace" for the Middle East."
Rabbi David Rosen is a mover and shaker in the interfaith movement and the fact that he is saying this with regards to this recent scandal confirms all of my worst suspicions. The scandal, like the Mohamed scandal a couple of years ago in Germany has been used to promote the interfaith movement in very interesting ways. At the same time leaves us scratching our head because as the pope talks interfaith he seems to be reversing some of the "interfaith" moves of Vatican II, which would appear contradictory.
I'm not going to draw any conclusions about that, at least not here. It's just an observation. I do wonder what others make of that...

LEFT WING OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH DESTROYING THE FAITH SAYS ORTHODOX RABBI
ReplyDeleteBy Hilary White, Rome correspondent
ROME, February 11, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) -
The dissident, leftist movement in the Catholic Church over the last forty years has severely undermined the teaching of the Catholic Church on the moral teachings on life and family, a prominent US Orthodox rabbi told LifeSiteNews.com. Rabbi Yehuda Levin, the head of a group of 800 Orthodox rabbis in the US and Canada, also dismissed the accusations that the Holy See had not sufficiently distanced itself from the comments made by Bishop Richard Williamson of the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX) on the Holocaust.
"I support this move" to reconcile the traditionalist faction in the Church, he said, "because I understand the big picture, which is that the Catholic Church has a problem. There is a strong left wing of the Church that is doing immeasurable harm to the faith."
Rabbi Levin said that he understands "perfectly" why the reconciliation is vital to the fight against abortion and the homosexualist movement.
"I understand that it is very important to fill the pews of the Catholic Church not with cultural Catholics and left-wingers who are helping to destroy the Catholic Church and corrupt the values of the Catholic Church." This corruption, he said, "has a trickle-down effect to every single religious community in the world."
"What's the Pope doing? He's trying to bring the traditionalists back in because they have a lot of very important things to contribute the commonweal of Catholicism.
"Now, if in the process, he inadvertently includes someone who is prominent in the traditionalist movement who happens to say very strange things about the Holocaust, is that a reason to throw out the baby with the bathwater and start to condemn Pope Benedict? Absolutely not."....read more....

What happens if Israel refuses to convert? Obviously, FACTS ON THE GROUND WILL HAVE TO BE "CREATED" TO MAKE IT HAPPEN! And it is precisely here that Messianic Judaism may very well be pressed into service to create the "necessary" facts on the ground insofar as the conversion of Israel is concerned.....read entire article....

Susanna,
ReplyDeleteYou are proving my point perfectly. With this new "crisis" in the Catholic Church you have people lining up on both sides of the aisle. There are those that say it is ruining the interfaith dialogue, those who say it is helping. Here's a Venice rabbi ( Venice was one of the earliest Jewish ghettos in Europe)
http://tinyurl.com/87xfzo
If we think back to the Regensberg incident where the Pope "inadvertantly" said something to offend billions of Muslims on the heels of the Mohamed cartoon incident which started riots and boycotts, you will see that this incident will produce an increase in Interfaith dialogue to resolve the problems. There will be rabbis for the pope, like the one you cited, but many against him. It wouldn't not help the interfaith dialogue if all the rabbis agreed. There must be voices of opposition.
Now in the case of the Muslims, what happened after Regensberg, a delegation of high level Muslims went to Rome, there was dialogue and out of that came the document "A Common Word" which was signed by 138 Muslims scholars and a many from the Catholic, Protestant world and a handful of Jews too, I believe.
There have always been Shoah deniers in the Catholic Church. This is nothing new. What is new is that in welcoming back the traditional Catholics, who believe salvation is only in the Catholic Church and who have been historically more anti-semitic than the post Vatican II Catholics, the dialogue is expanding.
In my opinion this is not something brand new. When the Mel Gibson film was praised by the Catholic Church and John Paul was still alive, this dialogue came into the public forum.
For those sensitive to the idea that "the Jews killed Christ" kind of language, the Passion of Christ was really terrible. I went to see it, knowing that I would not like it and all of my worst suspicions were confirmed.
My point is all the dialogue is part the plan to bring everyone into unity, especially over what will happen when they start discussing Jerusalem. The pope is a central figure in this. The Catholic Church is very much involved in the discussions over what the final status of Jerusalem will be. They have many churches and properties there. The dialogue is paving the way for the final status negotiations. They know that politics alone will not solve the problem, and are working from the "religious" angle. AoC knows this, Heinrich Benedikt knows this, everyone knows that the interfaith dialogue is a critical piece of resolving Jerusalem.. I think they are making the biggest mistake of their lives...

We are facing the joyful reality of what we have worked toward and envisioned. I have been amazed at the depth of my and others emotional response to Obama's Inauguration. Two weeks ago, while driving, when I heard the concert at the Lincoln Memorial in DC, the tears started to pour down my face. I had to pull off the road. My daughter, Alex Morton, an environmental activist in British Columbia wrote: "As a biologist with my ear to the heart of our life-support system I cannot express the magnitude of hope that I now feel. He has broken the spell."
The spell of misuse of power, dominance, control over others, racial hatred, polarization, economic injustice has been broken. Beneath the "spell" are the rising of what we are calling the "universal humanity" and the "cocreative human." We have lived through the Shift Point. Not that the problems are solved, but the truth has emerged, that the "birth" of ourselves as a planetary species is real, if only embryonic. This is a rare privilege.
It is a moment for a great in-breath. Thousands of us have been leading the way and now suddenly, the Phase Change has happened. Our out-breath will be fuller and more dynamic than ever before.
We feel in ourselves the need to penetrate deeply into the present, into the Now, and allow the new currents to guide us to cross the gap between inner evolution and the new outer reality of our social body. Sometimes the smallest gesture of kindness and support for others is often the very best we can do, while remembering, "Our Crisis is a Birth." We have just begun the next phase of our evolution.
Joyce,
ReplyDeleteWhile, unfortunately, there are indeed Holocaust deniers in the Catholic Church, there are also equally anti-Semitic people within the Messianic Jewish community whose beneath-the-radar intention it is to merely use the Jewish people as PAWNS in their bogus "eschatological" scheme!
Ergo, if you do not think it is just for you to be tarred with the same brush as these so-called "Messianic Jews" who are merely exploitimg the Jewish community and deploying it in the service of their own exclusively SECULAR agenda, then you, of all people, should be the last one to be throwing stones at the Catholics!

ReplyDeleteI really feel for you. Try to not let Joyce bait you into these fights. Just ignore her. It is hard but, I think you would feel better. Nothing good can come from contention except getting filled from the wrong spirit. It is not right your religion is attack non-stop. No one seems to be able to get Joyce to stop, she says she won't. If I were you I would just not read her posts. I personaly don't anymore. I am on here all the time and I just skip hers.
For your own sanity don't feel like you need to defend your church..people see through her on their own.
I just want you to have peace. If you want to answer her constantly and feel you should then go ahead. I just wanted to tell you that you are not alone. Their are others that find her frustrating that are not even Cathloic.
With Love your friend in Christ
PS Joyce I don't hate you, nor do I think you are a bad person. But you energy would be better spent fighting the real enemy then fighting with other Christians.

Hey you guys,
ReplyDeleteIn scanning through the comments, I didn't see any mention of this, but tomorrow is a significant date that I see being referred to on LOTS of New Age / Occult sites. (Just do a search on "Age of Aquarius starts Feb. 14, 2009". Use Yahoo for the search, not Google. Yahoo shows several of the sites may have viruses...stay away from those.)
I'd like to have some of you good researchers check it out and verify it. Seems legit, but I'm wondering if such convergences happen from time to time, or if this is THE one mentioned in the song referred to below.
I'm talking about the start of "The Age of Aquarius", which was sung about in a song released in 1969, 40 years ago, by the 5th Dimension.
Apparently, tomorrow is when the alignment takes place that was mentioned in verse one:
"When the moon is in the 7th house, and Jupiter aligns with Mars..."
Below are a few blogs mentioning this event:
http://www.care2.com/c2c/share/detail/1035871
http://starseed.gaia.com/blog/2009/2/mahala_planet_alert_february_2009
Wikipedia also mentions a work by Max Heindel, "Gleanings of a Mystic," in which he talks about the coming Age of Aquarius and how it will be associated with the "The Coming Christ" and "The Coming Age", which do NOT refer to the Christ of the Bible.
It looks like tomorrow is a *significant* day for New Agers.
I believe there is a link between the rebellion of the sixties, and Obama, a product of that same spirit of rebellion, and his coming to power at this significant time. The second link above mentions this:
I was in Washington D.C four years ago just after the Sirian Stargate had opened. I was sight-seeing on the Mall and felt love energy just pouring into that area. I thought; am I the only one feeling this energy? I felt it the whole nine days I was there and it was wonderful. I knew at that time this energy would change our government but it would take awhile. First of all the corruption had to be brought to the surface for everyone to see. This is what has brought the desire for change. It has taken awhile but the change is now here. Only a very highly progressed loving Being can now be head of our government.
More research please! I'm at work and can't spend time on it right now. Maybe more at lunch...
Time to pray against all this meditation that will be happening today and tomorrow!
In Service to the King,
Mark

ReplyDeleteIf you want to go and insult Messianics feel free. I would just mention that Messianics are a very "messy" group and you won't find too many of them who agree on anything from eschatology to practice and I personally know very few who would agree with the contents of that article.
As for my continuing comments about the pope, I will repeat the interfaith dialogue is going to be stressed more and more, be it by Protestants, Catholics, Muslims, Jews, not sure if there are any Messianic groups on that bandwagon yet, but if they are I would criticize them too.
I think interfaith dialogue is a big sham. It's being used to form the world government, world religion. In our post 9/11 world some people think that by talking they can get Jews, Christians, Muslims to agree on Jerusalem. The point is to keep your eye on the interfaith dialogue.
Evangelicals signed a document "in the name of Allah the most Merciful and his Prophet ..... etc., etc. " People are getting blind-sided in the interfaith dialogue. If I mention the pope it's because he happens to be one of the influential religious leaders in the world. If it were Rick Warren or Billy Graham ( who is old now) I would mention them too, if it is Rabbi David Rosen, I would mention him too. If the Saudi Prince is talking interfaith dialogue, or the King of Jordan, same thing.
If you don't pay attention to what the pope is doing, you are liable to miss some pretty important things. Every major newspaper both domestic and international has been covering this story for a week, front page headlines, so if they think it's important that might be a little clue for us too.

This might be nothing, but the grapevine has heard that those getting unemployment benefits and use their Social Security number as their ID, will soon find the system won't be using the ss number, when the system changes. Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteI am talking about the interfaith dialogue. It happens that the Pope along with Tony Blair, Rick Warren, the Alliance of Civilizations HLG members, The Common Word, etc, etc are all part of this. If you read my comments for understanding of the content you will understand what I am talking about. I'll repeat again, I've never had an evangelical on the blog say anything when I mention Rick Warren, so there's a double standard here or maybe the Evangelicals are willing to look at this problem with an open mind.
To me I make no distinction between the Pope, Tony Blair, Rick Warren, etc. They are all people who are pushing an interfaith dialogue. The pope does it through things like Regensberg or this recent SSPX incident which then scandalize him and cause this flurry of dialogue..
Rick Warren joined Tony Blair's interfaith foundation. Many leaders signed a document with Muslims. I'm not going to exclude the pope who plays such a key role in the whole business of Jerusalem. That would be absurd. You will watch my words that when the final negotiations for Jerusalem are done, the pope, whether it be this one or the person who succeeds him will be a very key part of this. The fact that Tony Blair at 50 something years old joined the Catholic Church right before becoming Middle East peace negotiator
was significant in my opinion.
I'll repeat, if you don't examine the role of the pope in all of these end time events you will miss an important component of what's going on.
In the new world order there is a spiritual component and a political component. Some people think this is Islam. I happen to think it's a mixture. Babel is confusion and when we try to create a religion where we all mix together and agree ( even if we really don't agree) we create babel. This is what the New Agers want to do too. They want to get rid of all duality. They want a harmonic convergence where all those who have convictions about the Scriptures disappear. Some examples:

http://www.elijah-interfaith.org/index.php?id=30
http://tinyurl.com/2j3ota

If you look at what happened last time a pope was in Jerusalem you will see that there were a flurry of interfaith activities. I expect no less this time.

I think Paul Proctor sums the problem up very succinctly in this article:
http://www.newswithviews.com/PaulProctor/proctor137.htm
...which was posted on the Common Word website:
http://tinyurl.com/ypetvy
He uses the a Biblical passage from James about spiritual adultery and I think that sums it up well:
James 4:4 You aadulteresses, do you not know that friendship with bthe world is chostility toward God? dTherefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
The concept of Biblical separation for the sake of so-called peace is a farce. All these religious leaders don't really agree with one another, so on top of all of it they are lying to themselves and to each other. God did not call Israel to make peace with the Canaanites. He didn't tell them to serve the Egyptians or the Babylonians false gods.
I'm just sharing the facts of what's going on in the interfaith movement which will absolutely give rise to the false prophet and a system of mixing that is contrary to the Scriptures..
I have been saying this in different ways all along. There is a true unity that God calls us to and that's around Yeshua and His Word. Unity is a good thing when it is founded on the Scriptures. It's just that the unity that is imposed from the outside is false and will never bring true peace, but the opposite.
Open your eyes and you will see.
Joyce
Joyce,
ReplyDeleteThe present Pope in the past as head of the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith took a clear and unambiguous position against the New Age Movement. He has seemed more ambivalent as Pope and his appointment of Cardinal Levada plainly puzzles me. However, he does -- at least in my opinion -- clearly and unambiguously proclaim Jesus as the ONLY Christ. If you read the Alice Bailey books you will note that they consider the Vatican an ENEMY and ditto for the Jews and fundamentalist Christians. Even orthodox Moslems come on their planned extermination list. (See appendix to AAB's THE RAYS AND THE INITIATIONS about Jerusalem standing for nothing but 3 dead and gone religions -- Jews, Christians, Moslems . . . and that their role (New Agers) is to seal that evil (Jews - Christians - Moslems) into their own separate place.
I rather suspect that the "Prince of the Covenant" that the Bible (Book of Daniel) says the antichrist will overcome for 3.5 years could well be the Pope. I have asked many Catholic friends what they would do if any pope ever asked them to worship a pagan deity or deny Jesus. Consistently I have been told that they would take that as a sign that this was the "anti-Pope."
Constance
constance a christian is one who follows the teachings of Christ and catholics follow the teachings of the rcc and the pope. also in my experience as a catholic the worship of mary is pagan.

Hi Constance,
ReplyDeleteRe:I have asked many Catholic friends what they would do if any pope ever asked them to worship a pagan deity or deny Jesus. Consistently I have been told that they would take that as a sign that this was the "anti-Pope."
Your Catholic friends have been consistently correct!
As a Catholic, I have been taught the old aphorism that "if a pope is in error he ceases to be the pope" - laetae sententiae (Canon 194 applies to the Pope as well as to the rest of the Church) - that is, he would AUTOMATICALY cease to be the Pope by virtue of the very act of publicly defecting from the faith or from communion with the Church and attempting to teach error ex cathedra.
1. With due regard for can. 194, part 1, n. 2, an apostate from the faith, a heretic or a schismatic incurs automatic (latae sententiae) excommunication and if a cleric, he can also be punished by the penalties mentioned in can. 1336, part 1, nn. 1, 2, and 3.
2. If long lasting contumacy or the seriousness of scandal warrants it, other penalties can be added including dismissal from the clerical state.
This canon is saying that once a person willingly repudiates Christ, embraces a heresy, knowing it to be contrary to divine and Catholic faith, or refuses submission to the Roman Pontiff (or communion with the members of the Church subject to him), by virtue of the law itself they are automatically excommunicated. No ecclesiastical act is necessary and no public notice.
http://www.ewtn.com/expert
/answers/heresy_schism
_apostasy.htm
Again, this applies to the Pope as well as to the rest of the Church, because if he were to err - especially if he were to deny Christ - he would be refusing submission to his papal predecessors, given the fact that the Catholic Rule of Faith is Scripture and Sacred Tradition which the Pope has no right to violate. "Infallibility" does NOT mean that the Pope can teach whatever he pleases in matters of faith and morals.
During the formal installation ceremony after a man is newly elected Pope the words chanted by the choir are "tu es Petrus" ("Thou art Peter") - the whole point being that the chief truth that the Pope is charged with the responsibility of preserving intact and handing down to his successors is the truth that was revealed to the Apostle Peter by the Father - namely, that Jesus is "the Christ the Son of the living God" as formulated in the Chalcedonian and Nicene Creeds.
Getting to where the rubber meets the road as far as I personally am concerned as a Catholic, if the Pope ever publicly denied Christ and tried to formally teach that Jesus wasn't truly God AND truly man, I would take it as a sign that at that moment he was spiritually dead and no longer the Pope and I would not regard myself as being under any moral obligation to accept his false teaching!
P.S.
ReplyDeleteThe Levada installation which is a different kettle of fish puzzles a lot of people including me, but I am inclined to give Pope Benedict XVI the benefit of the doubt unless thate is "take it to the bank" evidence that would indicate that I should not.
I meant to say "unless there is "take it to the bank" evidence that would indicate that I should not.
