According to an article which you may read by clicking here, Iran plans to punish the European Union for the sanctions it is imposing against it for the Iranian nuclear power plans. Javier Solana has been the world's primary designated voice on the Iranian issues. It should be most interesting to see how Javier Solana, the European Union, and the other agencies designating Solana as their voice will react. Stay tuned!

"GLOBAL WARMING" and IRAN TO PULL ECONOMIC ASSETS FROM EU?
UPDATE: IT APPEARS THAT THE USA MAY BE SUCCUMBING TO EU'S SOLANA'S PRESSURE. The United States pentagonhas now declared "global warming" a "national security issue." This is straight out of Javier Solana's March 14, 2008 paper! HOWEVER, there was an earlier 2003 Pentagon report by "Futurist" (translate: "Cultural Creative" / "New Ager") Peter Schwartz. Fascinating. Is Solana writing for us? Is Al Gore writing for Solana? Are Peter Schwartz and the World Future Society writing for all? Stay tuned!
Detail on the Iranian situation, including threats against the USA may be gleaned from this tinyurl:

ReplyDeleteThose pesky neocons. I'd say rather people who love freedom. I've been reading Jonah Goldberg's "Liberal Fascism". He discusses various forms of fascism and says:
"What unites them are their emotional or instinctual impulses, such as the quest for community, the urge to "get beyond" politics, a faith in the perfectibility of man and the authority of experts, and an obsession with the aesthetics of youth, the cult of action, and the need for an all powerful state to coordinate society at the national or global level. Most of all, they share the belief - what I call the totalitarian temptation - that with the right aount of tinkering we can realize the utopian dream of "creating a better world".
See this WSJ article about the Democratic National Convention for an example of this premise in action. Note the trash brigade, greening workshops and attempts "to build habits that will endure long after the convention". Also see: "It's the new patriotism," Mayor Hickenlooper says.
http://tinyurl.com/6b73ej
As I was reading, I realized one of the things about liberalism that I hate is the denial of individual liberty and its forced community. It also occured to me that perhaps this is one reason Biblical Christianity is hated so much - the focus on the individual and one's personal relationship to Jesus Christ and individual salvation. Maybe this is why there is less hostility to Islam. As an outside observer, it seems Muslims are more accustomed to this forced community and totalitarian intrusion in their lives. I believe for them salvation is inshallah but they must conform to the 5 pillars of Islam - which somewhat forces community on them.
Just a thought.

IN THE YEAR 2010 . . .
ReplyDeleteInteresting facts:
The WEU and the EU have dual coinciding presidencies for both periods:
1. Spain
2. Belgium
Solana, of course, is the Secretary General of the WEU and Secretary General of the Council of Ministers of the EU -- and maybe even more powerful than that if the Lisbon Treaty or an equivalent ever goes through.
2010 is the year of the "EU HEADLINE GOAL", i.e. full militarization of Europe!

Although we only “know in part” and “see through a glass darkly” I can’t pretend to not recognize within these interconnected, VERY current Summits, Proposals and Forums, Alliances, and Dialogues a common thread. As I read, there is an overwhelmingly obvious collaboration of individuals, International organizations, Clubs ( Club of Rome, Budapest, Madrid) Kings, Princes, Presidents, and High Level Group operatives, focusing on the Mediterranean and Middle East- Jerusalem in particular- over the next several months. Several weeks ago, we were examining the Jerusalem Peace Academy and their "Inter-religious Peace Summit" in Jerusalem held June 16-20 2008. The main focus of the Summit included their proposal for peace in the Middle East which specified making Jerusalem a “separate entity, a ‘corpus separatum’, like Vatican City,” (Shared by all) to be run by a single ADMINISTRATOR

If there is anyone we get an opportunity to snatch out of the fire, we need to be alert to the chance to do so.
I've had this thought for a while, about how Jesus likened his church to a 'temple'...and here is this abomination right there inside. Todd Bentley and his friendliness with demons. He invokes them. He helps people invite them into their lives, into themselves. And Christian leaders are ENCOURAGING HIM. This is an outrage.

"Isn't the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn't it our job to bring that about?"

During the last five years air travel has been under attack, being accused
of being the main cause of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other ‘greenhouse

These attacks have made it relatively easy for the UK Government to
double airline passenger tax with scarcely a murmur from the public.
And airline passengers are now being made to feel guilty about taking
holidays abroad.

http://tinyurl.com/67oc74
"If this takes off, so to speak, the repercussions for the politics of air travel and climate could be considerable. One of the great unspoken political certainties will become unglued - we can't act against air travel because "we" all do it so much. We may still be doing it but once it's an undesirable habit, then negotiating alternatives - in fuels or systems or taxation, will become a whole lot easier."
And this article from the UK Telegraph arguing for air travel restrictions:
http://tinyurl.com/6dgweb
"It would also be the clearest possible signal that the golden age of flying is coming to an end. We'll miss it; even we jelly-kneed phobics will miss it. We're living through the greatest period of cheap air travel that there has ever been, or ever will be.
Since no one in government has the courage to tell us that truth, we'll have to tell it to ourselves. Our grandchildren will one day ask if it was true that, in our day, we could fly almost anywhere, any time we wanted, for next to no money. "Yes," we'll say. "And the best thing of all was, we hardly ever crashed.""
You must have all seen that United is laying off 950 pilots and reducing flights.

What is disturbing is the rapidity of the change. It seems world leaders are feeling very confident.

Rudy,
ReplyDeleteThis Hans Kung, who sits on the board of Annan's Global Humanitarian Forum, was directly involved in the development of the Dialogue of Civilizations and he wrote the document "Towards a Global Ethic: An Initial Declaration" that was adopted by the Parliament of the World's Religions.
"From Kung's perspective, traditionalist religions have an ethical obligation to cease to exist. In his 1991 book Global Responsibility: In Search of a New World Ethic, Kung declared1 "Any form of ... church conservatism is to be rejected.... To put it bluntly: No regressive or repressive religion - whether Christian, Islamic, Jewish or of whatever provenance - has a long-term future." Furthermore, according to Kung, there will be no room for religious diversity, because, "If ethics is to function for the well-being of all, it must be indivisible. The undivided world increasingly needs an undivided ethic. Postmodern men and women need common values, goals, ideals, visions."

ReplyDeleteHere in Western Australia we have recently experienced a natural gas explosion which has cut off 30% of the gas supply to industry. There is a lot of pain being experienced by businesses. This at the same time that petrol and diesel prices are steadily rising.
How odd that this explosion should happen on a remote island 100 km offshore way up north. Apache are saying that full supply will not be able to be resumed until Christmas.
Many questions have been asked but it has never been suggested that it might have been a terrorist act. They must be absolutely sure that it isn't then. How do they know that?

I would like to share some links I found that you and others might find interesting and useful if you are not already familiar with them.
I don't know if I would necessarily describe your comments as being "off topic." In the sequel to the controversial book HOLY BLOOD HOLY GRAIL entitled MESSIANIC LEGACY, the authors describe the various political ideologies that have served as "ersatz religions" and admit that the various modern political regimes had not yet been entirely successful in concocting the perfect formula for "activating the religious impulse" of the people.......for the cynical purpose someone once described in terms of "getting people to behave themselves even when no one was looking."
Again, I humbly acknowledge that you are "light years" more informed than I am about Dr. Hamon, so if I am not on the right track here, would you please set me straight? Thanks in advance.

If an attempt were made to create a so-called "North American Union" as a counterpart to the European Union/wannabe "Superstate," isn't it possible that the ruling elite might try to exploit the traditional religious impulse in the American people ( we were founded as "one nation under God") by promoting a pseudotheology based on false ecumenism, signs and wonders and "Dominionism?"

Lynn, you have almost perfectly reflected C.S. Lewis in his remarks on Fascism and Communism:
"Fascism and Communism, like all other evils, are potent because
of the good they contain or imitate.... And of course their
occasion is the failure of those who left humanity starved of
that particular good. This does not for me alter the conviction
that they are very bad indeed. One of the things we must guard

pseudo-theology developing -- the abomination will stand where
it ought not...."

How right you are! I have long observed the seemingly exclusive "eyes left" mentality when it comes to pointing out heresies.
If the "heresies on the right" are a little harder for many to discern, this is because, as St. Augustine once put it in so many words; if something deceives, it deceives by its likeness to the truth.
___________________
"For if reason be found contradicting the authority of Divine Scriptures, it only deceives by a semblance of truth, however acute it be, for its deductions cannot in that case be true. On the other hand, if, against the most manifest and reliable testimony of reason, anything be set up claiming to have the authority of the Holy Scriptures, he who does this does it through a misapprehension of what he has read, and is setting up against the truth not the real meaning of Scripture, which he has failed to discover, but an opinion of his own; he alleges not what he has found in the Scriptures, but what he has found in himself as their interpreter. "
St. Augustine
Letter 143 (A.D. 412)
It is to be noted that for nine years before his dramatic conversion, St. Augustine was an adherent of Manichaeism, a gnostic system that postulated the existence of two equal but opposite "absolutes" (a.k.a. "two gods").
Augustine never progressed beyond the degree of "auditor" (lowest degree in the Manichaean hierarchy) and after his conversion, he became a staunch defender of the Christian faith against Manichaean encroachments.
Interestingly, it is also to be noted that when Satanists wax philosophical, they often wax Manichaean.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad someone was paying attention. I was kind of getting to the point where I was feeling like a lone voice out here, and I finally said to myself, "Well, I said it...and maybe just because no one replies doesn't mean they weren't listening. Not to mention that I'm probably preaching to the choir, LOL"
I'll have to look up your links maybe this evening or even tomorrow. I've had quite a time with computers today. I foolishly saved a web page that looked like innocent text and I think it was not, so it's been a day of scanning my 2 computers and consulting malware experts. I THINK it's OK. The darned thing was trying to use my dialup modem to connect to the internet through a dialup account we don't even use anymore, but our dialup modem isn't even connected. So the offending file has been deleted and several malware scanners aren't finding anything wrong. So hopefully that's the end of it. I save web pages all the time, but I sure won't be doing that again. (Yes, I scanned it with my resident AV after I saved it, but it didn't find any problem. I started getting suspicious when a dialup icon kept popping up.)
Anyway...I'm burned out on computers at the moment...and just plain battle weary overall!
Do the rest of you feel like that sometimes, too? Just overwhelmed when you think about all that we are surrounded with?

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, what I am about to write is not to be taken to mean that I am questioning your motives. In fact, unless it is proven otherwise, I am going to assume that you were NOT fully aware of the type of material that was included on that link you posted.
After clicking onto the link, I noticed that the material "about the Roman Catholics" consists of an infamous work by Alexander Hislop entitled THE TWO BABYLONS: PAPAL WORSHIP REVEALED TO BE THE WORSHIP OF NIMROD AND HIS WIFE - described on the website as "The very important hidden history of the Vatican."
It was a Franciscan priest, Father Benedict Groeschel who once said that if anyone wanted to say bad things about the Roman Catholic Church, he didn't have to go around making stuff up; all he had to do was to tell the truth.
After clicking onto the link for the online version of THE TWO BABYLONS, one will find that the actual text of the book is preceded by a caveat.
The bottom line here is that while both clerical and lay heretics and evildoers do indeed exist within the Roman Catholic Church, it does not follow - either from history or from the Bible - that the Roman Catholic Church has a monopoly on heresy or evil.
Neither does any other Christian communion.
In my own experience, moreover, I have found that those "accusers of the brethren" who have been the quickest to throw stones at others are usually the ones who have the most to hide themselves.
The following are links to critical evaluations of THE TWO BABYLONS - the last link being to the Ralph Woodrow Evangelistic Association - in case anyone is interested.
