Fascinating New Ager vs. New Ager debate occurring - Nuclear vs Anti-Nuclear

UPDATE:  PRAYERS AND SUPPORT NEEDED FOR THE PHILIPPINES!!!!
"EARTHQUAKES IN DIVERS[E] PLACES AND UPON THE SEAS DISTRESS OF NATIONS"

There is a fascinating debate taking place on CNN tonight.  It appears to feature many prominent New Agers debating each other on the Nuclear Power issue.  I tend to agree more with the pro-nuclear than the anti-Nuclear elements.  CNN tonight was playing the Sundance film of Pandora's Promise.

The pro-nuclear people claim it will reverse climate change.  Of course, my readers know I am deeply skeptical about the human-caused climate change claims.  However, it appears that there may be divisions in the New Age world between the "too many people" and "we must supply energy to the world's growing population" elements of the New Age Movement.

Ralph Nader and the Sierra Club are lined upon the side of "alternative energy", i.e. windpower, solar power, etc.  Stewart Brand (Whole Earth Catalog), Newt Gingrich, and others are lined up on the "we need more nuclear power NOW side of the debate.

I must confess I found it refreshing to find New Agers of the obvious Environmental Movement  division such as Amory Lovins, Helen Caldicott, Ralph Nader, the Sierra Club  and others taken to task for propagandizing the world in general and USA in particular against nuclear power use.

My jury is still out on the nuclear safety issue.  I tend to believe it may be necessary to supply necessary electricity and conveniences to struggling people in Third and Fourth World countries.  I don't think "global warming" is a rationale.  But I think those advocating for the need for expansion of nuclear power supplies may be correct.  Even though the bulk of the debaters are New Agers, even a broken clock is right twice a day.

What do you think?

Stay tuned!

learning how the enemy thinks is not appropriate for the fourth grade. This sort of exercize is dangerous enough for an adult, who might decide that he or she likes this view and stays with it, even if only secretly. But for a CHILD!?

Even the kind of thinking how they think, or rather, understanding how they think, is extreme, this isn't just examining it, this is participating in the kind of thinking.

Christine,
Thanks for your interesting perspective of things. How the pagan take the galactic clock of God and worship it as the creator?

Can you comment on the verses, where Satan/Lucifer was used by God to deceive?

God used and continues to use the deceiver to deceive.
Job 12:24.25 Jer 4:10 Jer 20:7 Ezekiel 13:2-4 Ezekiel 14:9 Ezekiel 22:24-26 2 Kings 20:14-16
Job 12:16 With him [is] strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver [are] his.

Christine Erikson (aka Justina) said...

I can only post so many characters in each post. So I will deal with the rest of the verses later.

rule number one, always read any verse in context, and that context can be anything from immediate verses before and after to the entire chapter. understanding the overall book it is in is helpful also. Some call this "let Scripture interpret Scripture."

Job 12:24-25 context, read entire chapter. the issue is, that God
will bring down the falsely wise, and the bad rulers, or those who
think in their pride their good ruling is of themselves alone.

the devil is always glad to harm people, and shoots himself in the
foot when he in his blind rage against humanity goes off on
someone God has allowed him to attack, either by decree or by
just not protecting them. There can be many reasons for either.
But it is not as simple as Job's comforters thought, that the good
receive good, the evil receive evil, and anything bad happening
means you are a sinner, while conversely success and wealth
means you are righteous.

exactly this error is a feature of extreme Calvinist notions,
taking points in Proverbs out of context and being the driver
behind some depredations of, for instance, Steve Bechtel
a Baptist, founder of the Bechtel Corporation and his downline.

And of course is the primary focus in the health wealth and
prosperity false gospel.

Jer. 4:10 again, overall context. Did indeed the Lord say peace
and all that or did Jeremiah think that some false prophet he had
heard speak this was speaking from God, or did he misunderstand
a prophecy of peace that was conditional on righteousness?

Farther on we see "O Jerusalem, wash the vices from your heart
that you may be saved,....." vs. 14.

Jer. 20:7 Jeremiah is not happy being a prophet and receiving
hostility, and thinks to escape this role but the power of God
and of God's words drives him to continue, and "the Lord was
with me as a mighty warrior. Therefore they persecuted me,
but were unable to discern anything they could use against me...."
vs. 11

Technocracy, a speech by Patrick Wood at Eagle Forum.

Christine Erikson (aka Justina) said...

Ezekiel 13:2-4 "Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel. You shall prophesy and say to them, Hear the word of the Lord.

"Thus says the Lord: "Woe to those who prophesy from their hearts, but who see nothing at all! O Israel, your prophets are like foxes in the deserts.""

Here, God addresses false prophets, who have seen no vision but pretend to have (or have had some "entheogen" aided hallucination or "entheogen" aided input from a lying spirit) and who have prophesied out of their own hearts, i.e., their imagination, they made it up,

and did not speak the words of YHWH.

This is hardly a case of God sending a deception, except in the sense that He allowed it, however, He also has sent a warning.

In Deuteronomy He also warns that if a prophet says things that don't happen, OR EVEN IF THEY DO HAPPEN but also says they should worship false gods, they should be rejected.

Ezekiel 14:9 "If the prophet is led astray and speaks, I, The Lord, have led that prophet astray; and I will stretch out my hand against him and destroy him from the midst of My people. You shall know that I am the Lord."

Just previously, God says that if someone in grevious sins comes to a prophet of God (presumably) God "will answer him according to the things that entangle his mind. I shall set My face against that man...." The same phrasing as against a straying prophet.

In Deuteronomy, God gives the standard for determining a true from a false prophet, and says that the latter especially when they foretell correctly, but teach to worship the false gods, are a case of God testing His people.

For someone to fall into being a false prophet, they must have fallen into something alienating them from God in the first place, it would seem. There is no indication of this having happened with the prophets in the biblical canon.

Now, people who make predictions by analyzing things are not prophets, unless they claim supernatural sources of knowledge.
voices and visions.

Farther back in the beginning of this chapter, verse 1, some elders came to Jeremiah, and God said to him, "these men devised inventions in their hearts, and placed before their face the stumbling block of their wrongdoings. Shall I indeed answer them?" and goes on to sound a warning to them, that includes the passages you asked about.

The bigger context usually clarifies what is puzzling taking out of that context.

Dear Physicist
Thanks for your comments on the fracking issue - they made a lot of sense to me.
But back to the New Age. Am fascinated by the book Constance mentioned about the British chap. I would be interested to know who are currently considered the movers and shakers on the British occult scene.
David Icke is currently launching a television show promoting the 'Awakening' - which should be more properly referred to as the 'Sedatening' - it's all in the pineal gland folks! And has everyone watched the New Age movie de luxe 'Thrive'? Most poor souls who think this will end the rule of 'Illuminati banksters' are in for a rude Communitarian shock. And they seem to include nearly everyone who has not realized the true Source of the Way, the Truth and the Life.

Hi Ruth, (a fellow brit here) I watched the Thrive movie just last night. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEV5AFFcZ-s It did make me wonder what the intention was as it seemed to be such a fluffy mash up of pie in the sky dreams. I haven't had time to explore the website yet.

Ruth, is the David Icke TV show coming to British TV?

Physicist - I'm dreadful with science and Thrive makes some what appear to me to be pseudo science claims in a quite convincing manner. Have you watched it ot the opening science section? If so could you please, in lay man's terms share your thoughts on it please. Thank You from me too for your comments on the fracking issues.

Dear K

I don't watch TV - I decided that the license was a waste of my time and money a few years ago; sorry! I do know of David Icke and he seems to me to talk a mix of sense and nonsense, which is a pity because it is impossible to tell which any given item is. What I do when the source of some information is not in the public domain is go ad hominem - if a guy telling me something that I cannot check for myself himself has a track record of reliability regarding things that I CAN check for myself, then I take him seriously. Regarding Icke, I recall a televised argument in which he was confronted by some angry Jews insisting that "giant lizards running the world" was an obvious euphemism for Jews without actually saying so, and he was loudly insisting that he really did mean giant lizards. If he meant Jews then he was a very good actor, I must say...

A short article: Jesus Christ And The Coming New World Order

by Thomas Ivan Dahlheimer

I do not believe in a literal interpretation of Genesis, but there are some truths that can be gleaned from it. In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve perceived them-selves to be [essentially] one with God and each Another. They also perceived themselves to be essentially one with Nature. In addition, they also perceived good and evil as being [essentially] the same.

Then Satan temped them to eat the forbidden fruit from the "tree of the knowledge of good and evil." Eve told Satan: God says we mustn't eat it or even touch it, or we will die." Satan said to Eve: "That's a lie!" "You won't die! God knows very well that when you eat it you will become like Him - you will know good from evil!"

Then Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit. After eating it they perceived good and evil as being [fundamentally different], and no longer [essentially the same]. They also perceived themselves to be no longer [essentially] one with God and one Another, and neither did they perceived themselves to be [essentially] one with Nature. They now perceived themselves to be fundamentally separate from God, each another and nature.

They had acquired a false identity. They believed that they were a combination of their outer personalities and their bodies. They had lost their awareness of their true identity, or their inter Self, wherein they perceived their [essential] oneness with God, Each Other and Nature.

Today, the vast majority of people on earth have this false identity. The people of traditional Christianity/Catholicism wrongly believe that Jesus Christ came to assure them that who they believed themselves to be was who they truly were. And that He would eventually restore the creation/earth back to its supposed paradise state of existence, or to the way it was before Adam and Eve committed "original sin." And that after restoring the creation/earth back to its supposed paradise state of existence He would place saved Christians in it, where they would live forever.

Modern-day scientific discovery has clearly revealed the truth - that the creation was not without corruption and death for planets, animals and humans prior to when the first humans lived on earth and supposedly committed "original sin."

Hindu and Buddhist meditation (also "Christian Zen meditation"), a particular type of contemplation and good works (especially including prayer for some people) eventually separate people from their false identities and reveal to people practicing these spiritual disciplines their true identity, the same identity that Adam and Eve had before they sinned. Jesus came to help us gain our true identity and usher in a new age and new world order - a new world order with a one world government and one world spiritual philosophy.

_________________________________________

Catholic priest and contemplative advocate William Shannon in his book, Seeds of Peace, explained the human dilemma as being the following:

This forgetfulness, of our oneness with God, is not just a personal experience, it is the corporate experience of humanity. Indeed, this is one way to understanding original sin. We are in God, but we don't seem to know it. We are in paradise, but we don't realize it.

Shannon's viewpoint defines the basic underlying worldview of the contemplative prayer movement as a whole. One can find similar quotations in practically every book written by contemplative authors. A Hindu guru or a Zen Buddhist master would offer the same explanation.

Congress Participates in First-Ever Hindu Diwali Observance on Capitol Hill

http://christiannews.net/2013/11/05/congress-participates-in-first-ever-hindu-diwali-observance-on-capitol-hill/

WASHINGTON – Approximately two dozen U.S. Congressmen and women recently participated in the first-ever observance of the Hindu festival of lights, known as Diwali, on Capitol Hill.

“Here in the United States, Diwali also reminds us that our nation is home to many faiths and traditions, and that our diversity makes us stronger, which is why I’m proud that this year Democrats and Republicans in Congress joined together for the first-ever celebration of Diwali on Capitol Hill,” Obama continued. “Over the last five years, Michelle and I have been honored to have the chance to observe this ancient holiday, both at the White House and in India, and we wish all those celebrating this weekend a Happy Diwali and Saal Mubarak.”

Ruth 5:59 A.M. and K 6:47 A.M.

Speaking of David Icke. Several years ago i did some tree work for a Dr. in Arizona, and he was very much into the occult/NA/Illuminatti etc. He only practiced alternative medicine, and he helped me with a kidney issue i was having. It has been healthy ever since. Any way, he showed me a video he had, he claimed was an 'underground' video by a so called Reverend Valentine who was also a black man as was my Dr./employer. Valentine was the 'spiritual advisor' for the matrix movies. This was a really sick dude! He, Valentine as the Dr., were of the same idea that light information that we receive from the Photon Belt, the center of the universe, and our sun, is processed by the pineal gland, and this 'light information' is what will 'evolve' us into homo noeticus. Valentine, and the Dr. both believed that black people have the proper amount of melanin that makes this transformation possible! That they are the chosen race! The Dr. advised me to take homeopathic melanin to have any chance to make the requisite transformation. The spiritual advisor Valentine said his idea of 'saving souls' was for black men to 'jump' white women. That way her offspring would have a chance to make the 'change' to immortality! It just goes to show you that nazism is a demon that is not limited to any particular race. If anyone can find this video its very informative as to the true nature of Ickes, and the Matrix movies occult nature.

Christine Erikson (aka Justina) said...

Wow! I had forgotten about the melanin superiority thing I read about that one years ago.

Physicist, you said the TV license was a waste of time and money - you mean they actually make you pay for a license to own and operate a TV in Britain?!

Well, I guess if all the channels are govt. run this makes sense, pay for the service I suppose, but it really is a startling idea to me here on the other side of The Big Puddle.

Icke and lizards - I think that the morphing people report seeing is actually a perception of a demonic presence gone very active, which they see so strongly with their mental eyes they think they are seeing it with their physical eyes.

Icke and the Matrix concept movies are classic examples of how there is a lot of truth presented but a false solution to the problem. Indeed, we live in a matrix of illusion to some extent, and visiting this blog, reading Cuddy's and other books, are taking the red pill so to speak.

L. Ron Hubbard once said that the quickest way to enslave someone is to promise them total freedom.

Once you start trusting someone who has shown you part of the truth, you think whatever else they have up their sleeve is true also, and can become their disciple easy, but that truth is just bait.

A video on biology weirdness and conspiracy was fine up to a point when the solution offered was "consciousness" issues.

Sure, if by consciousness you mean keep a sharp mental focus and not confuse yourself with your surroundings, get all one with everything and lose your identity and be easier to screw with. But of course, that is not what the person meant. 90% of the video was good and incl. lab workup of Morgellon's samples.

New Age gnostic whoever with Garden of Eden line in the earlier post, define "at one with" etc.

Being alert to your surroundings and how you affect them and vice versa, situational awareness is not the same as losing yourself in your environment.

The forbidden fruit DID NOT SHOW THEM THAT GOOD AND EVIL WERE DISTINCT. On the contrary. It put them in the position of standing beyond good and evil like the Nietzschean overman, to sample of each or redefine each as they chose.

In another similitude, to bump God off the throne of their hearts (innermost minds) and put themselves on that throne.

Oneness in the sense of agreement with and oneness in the sense of being the same as are not the same things at all, and on this unfortunate mixture of meanings hangs a lot of confusion.

Adam and Eve already knew right from wrong, it is right to obey God, wrong to disobey Him. But once they stepped into the zone of playing God, they lost their way.

And precisely the state of mind, of seeing good and evil as being no different from each other, is what goes on in the mind of a psychopath.

Next time someone tries to carve you up and eat you just to see what it would be like to do that, remember, this person has achieved the state you THINK we "fell" from.

anon. 11:04 while I welcome any posting on my blog, and any questions should be on a recent post's comments section because I am not likely to check older posts, you are laboring under the delusion that Bible and Christian issues are irrelevant to the New Age.

I don't know or care where you are coming from. But the fact is, that these supposedly irrelevant issues are CENTRAL to the issue of New Age, because these and other issues you and Dorothy have attacked, are PRECISELY what are among key points the New Age attacks or tries to co opt or otherwise exploit, to cripple opposition or convert to their world view.

While a great many people seduced by the love peace bliss version of the New Age and individual freedom angle (presented of course not as under God but as self as god), will and do oppose some forms of New Age extremism like totalitarianism, extermination, etc., they nonetheless add to the weight of the movement and vote for people and issues that serve that movement, and are part of the combination of things the New Age needs to gain political control.

Look up TECHNOCRACY by the way. An interesting and VERY RELEVANT issue.

Now, the plain fact is, we Christians are the ones (those of us who have a biblical not biblical shaped by name your cultural baggage world view) who are best equipped to recognize and criticize and undermine the New Age.

The New Age is essentially anti Christianity first and foremost, and secondarily anti any other monotheistic thing.

The New Age runs on occultic and mind twisting issues that only the Christian biblical view can fully understand or address.

Non Christian biblical views to some extent can do so, especially when New Age overtly attacks Jews, for instance.

But we have the fullness of information if we only use it.

This IS A CHRISTIAN BLOG, and a CHRISTIAN BASED ALARM ABOUT NEW AGE. Always has been. Always will be.

It is you and Dorothy, when she steps beyond supplying specific information, who are wasting time or trying to disrupt or destroy this blog.

Because any anti Christian or at least Christianity sidelining effort also is ipso facto New Age helping, whether you intend it that way or not.

And because the many things besides mere Euro politics (which are partly but not entirely a waste of time, sometimes critical sometimes a mere distraction), are ALL OF THEM essential parts of the New Age movement and effort to screw with our heads.

Common Core education is based on World Core Curriculum invented by Robert Mueller of the UN and of the Theosophical Society.

And you won't find a hint of reference to Blavatsky or Bailey or (usually) Nazi mentality in it, but it promotes exactly the derailing of identity and focus and the categories into which ANYTHING can later fit (like starting with big picture and eventually never mind the expendable individual).

If you can't see the importance of this, it merely shows your own mental immaturity and lack of development of reference grid.

So sit back and learn something instead of running your mouth, er, keyboard.

And no, I wasn't being patronizing to Dorothy, I was being kind.

Not true Christine. I get that! Over and over and over again! That is what Constance's work is and has so wonderfully helped us with here...until you showed up and started flooding this blog-making it into your personal center for the fulfillment of displaying your penchant for the minutia of the irrelevent (with some pertain info here and there tossed in to make us think you are serious about it. Ha! You are too much in the picture to let that message shine! Phht!.....

I just believe that his theological question(s), because of the involvement and development of whatever answer you give him, can take up that lots and lots of space so should be fielded and handled on your own blog. Not this one.

Hey, when you and Dan Bryan get it all figured out and summarized in a nice neat package, how about post something helpful over here in that event? Common courtesy is your very weak point, and Christine, I am being kind.............

Christine,

Here is the problem as I see it, you take up a incredible amount of space in any given thread which gets you heat around here regardless of quality of posting. I have had the blog hog moniker thrown at me a few times during the years I have posted here because I can get carried away covering details. I never intended to, but some saw it as rude so I backed off. You on the other hand have a tendency to interject your world view into every conversation or subject imaginable. You do so despite constant requests for you not to. You are surrounded by other professing Christians yet feel the need to spread your brand of Orthodoxy and attempt to talk over others. These are rude and unpersonable actions. They are some examples of why you offend people, some but not all. If you were as meek as you like to claim, you would have recognized the truth in what numerous witnesses were accusing you. I don't want to see anyone else exit what is a good forum for sharing information, not even you as much as I disagree with how you share your views.

Christine Erikson (aka Justina) said...

I am trying to remember to break up paragraphs more to make it more readable.

I have noticed however that certain things here draw fire. And that incl. Christian related talk.

JD your is spac, but when I posted links on Common Core as I found them (and I didn't find them all at once) I still got some anon complaining about the number of posts, that those were SHORT ones.

The remarks about Christianity issues being relevant I made to whoever anon doesn't like them.

And frankly, some of the stuff covered in such posts, are important to Christians whose views are shaped by prophecy "experts" and people who focus on one or two verses and leave out context.

Whoever besides Dan Bryan reads those posts, may get some good information on things that bothered them but they never talked about, or at least the issue of larger context almost always being important. This latter issue is amazingly under considered by people.

I once saw someone elsewhere puzzled about does God want sacrifice in the OT or not because of a line in Ps. 50 or 51 (LXX for one numbering of this) about God not desiring sacrifice, when the context is clear, He wants repentance not gaming the system.

If dealing with issues that NAM loves to exploit, a careful setbreaking is needed, to extract wheat and kick out their chaff.

Christine Erikson (aka Justina) said...

"JD your is spac" should be "your issue is space," Google won't let me cut and paste anymore does something else. Sorry.

Everyone who complains, please do not assume that if you know something already, that everyone regular or dropping by knows it. I and all should assume otherwise or risk accomplishing nothing.

Thanks J D for the succinct point you made that was the cut to the chase.

Exactly what Christine, even if well intentioned in her posts (I'm trying to be generous), cannot seem to do and proves once again she cannot take the slightest bit of advice, no matter how well put. She--does intend--to treat this blog as her own personal space to let topics pile up all around her as she wades in and through them saving each one-unable to quickly move on and or move over. I think she has the mindset of a hoarder. Makes me wonder what her house looks like on the inside. That's scary....

Christine,

Yes we do! In Britain TV began many decades ago with a single channel run by a government corporation, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). You had to buy a licence to watch legally, and the revenue paid for the BBC, and no ads were shown which was great. Sometime later we got a commercial channel, which (reasonably) complained that people who were willing to watch only them still had to pay the licence fee. Nothing was done. Now we have satellite TV and longterm the writing is on the wall for the BBC which is losing audience share all the time. But it will take a right-wing government to privatise and break it up, as it has become very Left/aggressively secular in the last two decades - which makes it all the more important to do in my view. It is now management-heavy and politically correct sand I can't wait to see it go.
