My perspective -- What Constance thinks

With Catherine Ashton declaredly not there and Middle East countries such as Egypt calling for more EU presence, something from Europe is sure to emerge.   Who/what could it possibly be?  A Euro-Mediterranean conference is scheduled in BARCELONA on NOVEMBER 20, 2010.  This is THE 15TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE SIGNING OF THE TREATY OF ASSOCIATION WITH ISRAEL ON NOVEMBER 20, 1995, two days before the largest earthquake Israel ever experienced, 7.2 mw on November 22, 1995.  This in turn was only five days before Javier Solana chaired the first Barcelona Conference from November 27-28, 1995.  Only two days later, the former Marxist, anti-NATO activist would be named the new head of NATO!

Catherine Ashton has said that she will not be attending the Middle East Peace Talks because it conflicts with a trip she has scheduled to China.  Influential French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner (founder of Doctors without Borders and close friend of Javier Solana) has indicated his strong disagreement with her decision to leave Europe unrepresented.  I am suspecting this may have a deep effect on her influence, if not her tenure as foreign policy chief of the European Union.

Can one imagine Javier Solana not going?  I, for one, cannot.  This is bound to make the EU constituent countries very nostalgic for him, in my opinion.  It was Bjorn who pointed out to us in the past week that she had been denied speaking privileges at the UN at about the same time that Solana has been asked to organize a global discussion.

Re-reading Bjorn's recent post, he says that Solana IS involved in the Middle East Peace talks!

I have watched the New Age Movement long enough to know that they often communicate this way!  Again, I don't know if Javier Solana is THE DUDE, another wannabe, or somebody who just has a number of unlucky coincidences, but there are too many of them to ignore and he obviously has not just gone fishing.  For those of you thinking that at age 68 which he just turned, he is "old and decrepit," he clearly is not.  He is active with many philanthropic and GLOBAL GOVERNANCE organizations.  He is physically active, swimming daily according to some accounts.  He told one interviewer he preferred swiming/bathing in 19 degree (celsius) waters which is 60 degree water.  Very cold, at least by my standards!  I am continuing to watch and I am happy that others are as well.
