UNITED STATES OFFICIALLY JOINS ALLIANCE OF CIVILIZATIONS

With profound thanks to Rudi for calling this to my immediate attention and to Rich of Medford for his diligent research over the past two years on the topic.  Dennis Cuddy will be my internet radio guest tomorrow night and this will certainly be an important part of the discussion.

Stay tuned!

"Group of Friends" does not mean folks who get together for coffee and doughnuts. It means countries that are committed to ENFORCING the goals of the Alliance of Civilizations which clearly includes scrutiny and regulation of religious instruction and education WORLDWIDE. It is certain to bring a crashing halt to religious liberty -- planet wide!

It's 'interesting' that the mainstream media failed to cover this HUGE announcement.

(Interesting, but not surprising.)

Hey, why didn't I get a vote on that one? Maybe I'll contact my congressman. Hmm...I wonder what Mark Schaurer would think.

David,

Unfortunately Congressmen and Senators never seem to get to have a say when it comes to international agreements like this one, and when they do they rarely go against the grain.

Rudi,

Profound thanks for bringing this to our attention!!

Interestingly, according to AFP, the AoC was "shunned by the Bush administration" over concerns that it would become a forum for bashing Israel and the United States.

I just sent this out. Readers here will find the section from The House That Hitler Built of interest.

BSwanson@dist113.org
To the principal of the Highland Park, IL High School:

I'm Jewish. My husband's family died because of the things Hitler and his followers believed. Because of that I've researched the changes taking place in our country, changes taking place under the direction of the New Age movement which began over 100 years ago. You may not see the connection between what you are doing and the thinking that brought about the Holocaust, but it's there. One of the books in my library is The House That Hitler Built, Stephen H. Roberts, Harper and Brothers, 1938, pages 56-58. Substitute the current education establishment in the US for the leadership in Germany in the following piece, and you'll get the message.

V-The Community and the Individual
This then is the German philosophy of which Alfred Rosenberg and Walter Darre are the high priests, and the anthropologists and biologists and historians in every German university the acolytes. There is a Nordic Volk, triumphant over everything. This depends on unalterable facts of Blood and Soil and the two combine over long periods of time to produce a race of supermen. (In their system of thinking..d) Within the Volk, the naturally superior specimens come to the fore. Democracy is a historical accident of the last century, Communism a Jewish system of government in which the interests of the individual are cheerfully surrendered to those of the community or Volk as a whole. This system is National Socialism, and within it, the Fuhrer is the mouth piece of the Volk, revealing its best interests by some kind of inspiration. As such, he must be accorded blind obedience, so that the Volk may prosper.

This means that the individual has meaning only as a member of the Volk. As a corollary, he must submit to many restrictions on his freedom. But the Germans accept this cheerfully, and even feel that they have gained thereby.

The strength of the nation--'folkic' unity--more than recompenses them. "Wir sind nicht ganz frei', the older Germans will say to you with a wry smile, but the younger sections will proudly retort--individual freedom is a myth, the only real freedom is freedom to serve as a member of a community. The older freedom meant unrestrained individualism--freedom to starve, freedom for agitators to continue their disruptive work, freedom to be exploited. It sacrificed the reality to the myth. In the early days of the movement the Storm Troopers had a song: "We spit on freedom, the Folk must be free", and this has remained true ever since. We may follow Jefferson in raising his everlasting plea for individual rights and in saying that no political organization can survive unless it is based on individual liberties; but the German of the new generation has had a surfeit of technical freedom. He finds his satisfaction in the strength of his community; for the Volk he is prepared to die. It is the wider, the ultimate loyalty. Just as industry is rationalized and controlled in the service of the nation, so, too, are the rights of the individuals. Moreover, the older theory was simply a political one that did not work, the the newer one, the doctrine of the Folkic State and the meaninglessness of the individual apart from his communal framework--relates to more than politics; it is a religion, the only practical religion of all time.

continued
This is the vital aspect of National Socialism; this is its core; here is its real challenge to the rest of the world, and here it will live or die. Talk to an average German youth leader about individual freedom, and you will soon realize that here you have a completely new sense of moral values, held with such intensity that you will fear for the future, feeling that here are weapons which should never be used in any political struggle. Hitler has stolen the sanctions of religion for his own movement, that is the significance of National Socialism.

There is one last point. This political philosophy is acclaimed as the essence of modernity; actually, it marks a reversion to the oldest state of affairs of which our anthropologists have any knowledge, for it is exactly the priests in savage societies. The Nazis have reconstructed the taboo system in its entirety--the system in which every part of the social structure depends on an unquestioning acceptance of the edicts of the priests; if a member offends against any part of the system, even in his innermost thoughts, the whole structure will collapse. This is Nazi philosophy--the taboo system of savages plus a warped mystical interpretation of modern history. The community counts for everything, the individual for nothing; and every device of patriotic propaganda is employed to keep up the emotional backing, to sublimate it on the plane of sacrifice. And the last irony is that, with all its crudity, it gets back to something deep-rooted in human nature. The Nazis in Germany have probed back into the subconscious and removed the accumulated obscurities--some people outside Germany call them advances--of centuries. They have resurrected tribal instincts and the mystical sanctions of a savage society.
(end of section)

My comment: You are Suzan Hebson's supervisor. You are sacrificing the freedom of all of girls on the basketball team to reach out for the individual achievements of which they are possible on the altar of the New Age movement and its many support systems. Those of us who have been following the growth of this movement for decades know that the New Age movement is a resurgence of Nazism. You may not be aware of this, but as one who guides the future thinking of the youth in your area, you carry a heavy burden and need to know all that you can.

JD- Maybe you already posted about this- I lose track of all the threads in today's world, and especially if they involve economics. Someone once got me a book involving economics, and after the second page my eyes glazed over and I went catatonic...
Anyway, I see Farmer ran an article recently titled "AoC Silatech goes microcredit too".

Anon 9:29, all

Farmer has taken a interest in the work Susanna and I have been doing, which has prompted him to post relevant material and he has even sent me a few things. This has prompted me to look in a couple areas where I had not before, which in turn has given me a much better understanding of what we are seeing. There are ties between UNESCO, AoC, microcredit, and even RFID and other information capture technologies (ICT) that have been discovered as a result.

One such discovery made that I am certain many will take a interest in, is this report titled Chronology of the Barcelona Process. In this report you will see a timeline of how the Process was built into the Union for the Med. You will also see a clear picture of how microcredit was developed and used in said countries to accomplish this. You will also get a idea of how ICT/RFID is involved. This report covers many aspects including AoC, Frontex, the ENP, and more.

INVISIBLE ELEPHANTS

I found it confusing that a journalist from Venezuela, talks about Solana attending „here” a Latin American Conference without any reference in the rest of the media, so I decided to ask him on his blog about the whereabout of this event. When answering me, he referred to it as an event of ESADE at Barcelona, Spain, which could only be the one in February where Solana had compared the EU as the laboratory for global governance (see here: Link).

So was Solana in Latin America last week or was he not? If yes, then practically unofficial and invisible.

And actually there WAS an important conference on Latin America in Mexico: March 20, 2010

The annual meetings of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in Cancun with 800 attendees.Link

, and this conference was organized by the Latin American Chapter of Brookings Institute, who have Solana as their Chief adviser and also the Columbia Business School, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (Department of Economics) and the School of International and Public Affairs. This Organization has a prominent econimist: Nobel Prize for Economy winner Joseph Stiglitz, who was once proposed as one of the „Wise Persons” for the Alliance of Civilizations.” And this organization is heavily sponsored by Solanas former University: Compultense Madrid, Spain.

STROBE TALBOTT

Nelson Strobridge "Strobe" Talbott III (born April 25, 1946) is an American foreign policy analyst associated with Yale University and the Brookings Institution, a former journalist associated with Time magazine and diplomat who served as the Deputy Secretary of State from 1994 to 2001.

Early life

Born in Dayton, Ohio to Jo and Bud Talbott, Talbott attended the Hotchkiss School in Connecticut and graduated from Yale University in 1968 where he was chairman of the Yale Daily News, a position whose previous incumbents include Henry Luce, William F. Buckley, and Joe Lieberman. He was also a member of the Scholar of the House program in 1967-8, and participated in the Skull and Bones Society. He became friends with former President Bill Clinton when both were Rhodes Scholars at the University of Oxford; during his studies there he translated Nikita Khrushchev's memoirs into English.

......A former Russian Foreign Intelligence Service operative Sergei Tretyakov claimed that SVR considered Talbott a source of intelligence information and classified him as "a special unofficial contact", although "he was not a Russian spy." These unproven allegations center on Talbott's relationship with Russian ambassador Georgiy Mamedov, who called the allegations "blatant lies." Talbott himself has similarly rejected the accusations, calling them "erroneous and/or misleading in several fundamental aspects...[T]here was never a presumption that what we (he and Mamedov) said to each other in our one-to-one sessions would remain private." Further, Talbott has noted that his meetings with Mamedov advanced US objectives, such as getting Russia to accept NATO enlargement and help end the Kosovo conflict....

Constance warned us back in December, 2006:

The “Alliance of Civilizations” would, when fully implemented bring planetary religious liberty, at least for those taking their revealed religion seriously, to a crashing halt. It would, inter alia require registration of all religious schools with the UN under the arm of a to-be-appointed “High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations.”

Susanna said...

By the way, Constance, I see that you already posted the EU article about Solana joining the Brookings Institute, so I do indeed apologize for the duplication of work.

But did you also know about the suspicions that Talbott was a source of intelligence information for the Russians?

If you compare the reports about Strobe Talbott with what has been learned about the late Senator Edward M. Kennedy, we can see that there was a plan to enable the former Soviets to begin a propaganda campaign using the then major organs of the American media.

Not surprisingly, Strobe Talbott, like Senator Kennedy, was not too enthused about Ronald Reagan's Strategic Defense Initiative - a.k.a. "Star Wars."

In an article entitled COMMUNISM'S ENABLERS AND EXCUSERS published in the November 5, 2009 edition of Jewish World Review, Cal Thomas writes:

When the (Berlin) wall fell, leftists could not bring themselves to admit they had been wrong, much less apologize for their misplaced faith. So they did what they do best: they made excuses.

The Media Research Center (MRC) has compiled reports, editorials, articles and commentary that extend over the last 22 years revealing how the pre-Fox, pre-talk radio liberal media were the handmaidens of one of the greatest totalitarian evils to strike the planet. The underlying myth in much of their "reporting," notes the MRC's Rich Noyes, was that free market capitalism was a greater threat to human happiness than communism.

Reading these quotes, in light of history, resembles a "Saturday Night Live" comedy skit.

In 1987, before the wall collapsed, CBS anchor Dan Rather said, "Despite what many Americans think, most Soviets do not yearn for capitalism or Western-style democracy."

Strobe Talbott, then of Time magazine and soon to be an influential member of the Clinton administration, wrote on Jan. 1, 1990, "(Soviet leader) Gorbachev is helping the West by showing that the Soviet threat isn't what it used to be, and what's more, that it never was." How is it possible to simultaneously have been a threat, but not a threat? The millions who died in gulags, starved to death or were assassinated might have a different interpretation of Russian history under communism.

Gates Foundation Suggests Sterilizing Males with Ultrasound

Among the 78 research projects to receive $100,000 grants from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation earlier this week as part of the Grand Challenges in Global Health initiative, is an effort by researchers at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, to develop a non-invasive, reversible form of birth control for men — using ultrasound. Based on preliminary trials in rats, researchers James Tsuruta and Paul Dayton hope to develop a technique that would render men temporarily infertile for up to six months after one or two ultrasound exposures.

The project is one of 10 to receive grants toward the goal of creating new technologies for contraception. Other projects geared toward men include a male contraceptive pill that researchers say would work by limiting the maturation of sperm, and research into the specific chemical compounds in the vagina that guide sperm to egg — which researchers hope to recreate in the lab and potentially use to “disrupt” sperm navigation en route to the egg. (Earlier this year, researchers at the University of California, San Francisco uncovered clues about how pH levels impact how sperm swim, and expressed hope that further research in this arena could yield possibilities for male contraception as well.)

In early trials, Tsuruta and Dayton at UNC were able to halt rats’ sperm production for up to six months after giving the animals two blasts of ultrasound spaced by two days, the New Scientist reports. The researchers believe that ultrasound disrupts sperm production with a combination of heat and shaking, and plan to further explore the mechanism at work with the new funding.

Ultimately, the researchers hope to develop a contraceptive technique that could provide long-lasting yet reversible infertility for men. As Tsuruta told the BBC:

“We think this could provide men with up to six months of reliable, low-cost, non-hormonal contraception from a single round of treatment… Our long-term goal is to use ultrasound from therapeutic instruments that are commonly found in sports medicine or physical therapy clinics as an inexpensive, long-term, reversible male contraceptive suitable for use in developing to first world countries.”

Weren't they sterilizing those they called the mentally unfit back in the 1930s? Oh yes, that was part of the early efforts of the New Age movement.

Where does that kind of thinking come from? From the very large academic field called Bioethics.

This paper was given as the Steven Biko Memorial Lecture in Bioethics at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Witwatersrand. It was also discussed at the higher Stockholm seminar on practical ethics.

Re: Rwanda's newest "genocide"...

Compulsory sterilization programs for women with mental handicaps was an idea developed and popularized right here in these United States. Michigan introduced the first mandatory sterilization legislation back in 1897, however Indiana passed the first forced sterilization law in 1907.

The idea of course, was popularized by Margaret Sanger....

"To give certain dysgenic groups in our population their choice of segregation [concentration camps] or sterilization", Margaret Sanger, April 1932 ("A Plan For Peace")

Such programs (or pogroms) were mandated by at least 17 states before Hitler took power, and were still on the books in a majority of states through 1956. You might say NAZISM had it's roots right here, on American soil.

The practice of forced sterilizations came under heavy fire from civil rights and disability advocacy groups during the 1960's and '70's. But although laws were changed, it continued as a common practice in many state run institutions at least through the 1970's.

Today we see a different form of home grown NAZI-like eugenics. While chemical and surgical sterilizations are still widely promoted and marketed, an even more insidious form of evil is the pressure for ALL pregnant women to submit to a multitude of pre-screening tests, which presume and promise to identify disabilities, and/or genetic diseases in order to rationalize the choice to abort an "unfit" fetus. Such a Darwinian system is solely designed to purge society of the disabled and to create a "better" race of human beings.

Woe on us, when people call such evil, "good".

From CNS News (05/17/10)...

Napolitano Hasn't Reviewed 'In Detail' the Arizona Immigration Law She's Criticized

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, who has been a vocal critic of the new Arizona immigration law, told Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Monday that she had not reviewed the law in detail, but nevertheless repeated criticism she made in April on ABC’s “Good Morning America” that the law is a “bad law enforcement law.”

Last week, Attorney General Eric Holder said he hadn't read the law either, although he too has criticized it. He told the House Judiciary Committee he'd "expressed concerns" about the Arizona law, "on the basis of what I've heard about the law" from newspaper and TV reports. Holder has questioned whether the law is constitutional and has said the federal government may challenge it in court.

On Monday, Sen. McCain asked Napolitano, who is the former governor of Arizona, about the law during a hearing on the federal response to the oil spill off the Gulf Coast --“Have you had a chance to review the new law that was passed by the state of Arizona?”

“I have not reviewed it in detail, I certainly know of it, senator,” Napolitano replied.

But when McCain subsequently asked if she were “not prepared to make a judgment on it,” Napolitano told McCain the law was “not the kind of law I would have signed” and that it was a “bad law enforcement law.”

McCain, who wanted to know specifics about why it is "bad," said law enforcement in Arizona supports the law, which gives authorities the ability to enquire about a suspect's immigration status if they have reason to believe a crime has been committed.

McCain condemned the criticism of the law coming from the Obama administration – including criticism from President Obama himself.

“The president of the United States portrayed it as – that someone can’t even go out for ice cream without being harassed, which is one of the more outrageous statements I’ve ever heard,” McCain told Napolitano. “And now that our own attorney general, after condemning the law, said he hadn’t even read it.”

I have posted here a bit before on topics like the internet of things and such.

I have a blog. Someone tried posting on my site. I was curious if anyone has gotten this post before or email on their site. Or am I dealing with a real occultist? I get so much auto spam that is sometimes odd, but I cannot tell on this one, it seems real.

I thought it was timely to tonight's show how they are more open now to their worship of Lucifer.

Here is the post:

"Il dio non è un uomo da giudicare
“ The God is not a man to judge”

Lucifer resides in the fabric, heart, and the cross roads of every living person. To see Lucifer all one needs to do is go to the nearest mirror. You were created in his image, and in his image you exist. Lucifer is not an idea or a medium that rages into the dark regions of the nature of man. Lucifer is not a man to be judged.

Fearful, lost, Evil Men have tried to create Lucifer as a devil that desires to see you torn from God and in hell burning for eternity. Fear hate and deception is what propagates those ideas. These Ideas don’t free men but these are ideas that bind men to a twisted and deranged regimented system of slavery. This is done to keep man from his true self.

Man accepts the rights free will affords when man accepts his true self, when he comes to the cross roads of truth and fraud and when he chooses truth he finds his true self was created in the image of Lucifer. Free will is a gift given to man by Lucifer; when man accepts his true self he accepts the Lucifer within.

Lucifer is everything the world is not, he is freedom and indecision does not exist within him (and in him there is no fraud). He has no opinion he is and will always be right. When he speaks in our hearts there is no compromise for he is perfect in truth and freedom. He is not what the “church” is, he is not a “religious system” he is not as the “World” is, for the world has been corrupted by the church, religious systems, and defiled by the teachings of men bent on stealing away your free will in order to keep you in slavery. These men have been conditioned by fear and dread. They propagate these thoughts because on some level they think it will free them but all it does is distract man from freedom by keeping man blinded by the very lies passed down from generations and generations lies passed down by blind fearful conditioned men.

Man has been conditioned and that conditioning is built in to the very fabric of their “id”. From the moment of mans birth he is being conditioned to accept being a slave. Man apart from his true self is primitive and animalistic, prone to conditioning and blinded by fear."

Bella, Bella, Bella,

I fear for your soul! Lucifer can't do anything for your soul but take you with him to the Lake of Fire designed for him, his angels, and the humans he duped into sharing his punishment for eternal rebellion against his Creator.

You still have a window of opportunity, but probably not for long. The day is rapidly coming when God will say, "Let he who is filthy, be filthy still. Let he who is righteous be righteous still." Jesus warned us that the Spirit of God would not ALWAYS strive with man.

There's an old hymn which you would do well to consider:

HAVE YOU COUNTED THE COST IF YOUR SOUL SHOULD BE LOST AND THE CALL OF HIS SPIRIT IS GONE? EVEN NOW IT MAY BE THAT THAT THE LINE YOU HAVE CROSSED, HAVE YOU COUNTED, HAVE YOU COUNTED THE COST?

Bella, that's what Jesus Christ is all about -- paying our cost. Take advantage, while you still can.

Bella,

I haven't seen anything like that on my blog and pray I never do! It is very much a New Age view, the style of which tells me that your poster is probably relatively young. As it stinks of some of the newer flakes that are appealing to the youth, either that or you have on your hands someone who is more adept than the average new ager these days.

Anonymous said...

Yes Bella, you are dealing with an individual heavily into the occult. They see Lucifer as someone who has come down to earth to free men so they can as the military slogan went, 'Be all that you can be." (Interesting background to the acceptance of that slogan.)

Or as Allister Crowley who claimed to be the Beast and was heavily involved in Satanism wrote, "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law."

Or in the Bible where Eve believed that if ate of the Tree of Knowledge she would be as God.

From a common sense point of view it is a stupid belief system that destroys an individual's control of himself and puts him under the control of those who know no limits either. Remember Charles Manson?

It is a system that destroys community life. If a person can't trust their neighbor to share the same values by which they live, he is held back by constant suspicion of others.

It doesn't end with what that individual has written. These people have their own definitions for Satan, Lucifer, Jehovah and the Christ.

Here's one cult that used that kind of grouping.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Process_Church_of_The_Final_Judgment

Other cults have similar beliefs.

The person who wrote the Exhibit wants to sound mysterious and spooky. Don't take the stuff seriously and you'll be OK. Those who do take that kind of thinking seriously tend to get into deep trouble.

In researching a bit more into this poster I found he linked a site. The article it linked to was on about the false spreading of rumors of rock and roll singers being Satan worshipers. Yet in the same breath he agrees that their is an Illuminati. So Since he denounces Lucifer as evil but embraces the idea of a new world order and Illuminati being bad, I think this person is one of the many that have fallen for the new age side of the truther movement. The whole conspiracy of Religion, Government and the Elite conspiring to suppress man and that Lucifer is their savior from those evil ways of oppression.

That is my guess at this time. This is a very growing issue among the youth of today.

Bella,

For what it's worth, there is also such a thing as "revolutionary satanism" or "political satanism" that does not regard Lucifer as evil, but rather as a kind of "liberating force."

The Satanism of Italian statesman Giosue Carducci is one example of it. I believe his "Hymn to Satan" was recited at Aleister Crowley's funeral.

Creatures like Carducci do not ordinarily refer to themsellves as "satanists."

GIOSUE CARDUCCI
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giosu
%C3%A8_Carducci
________________________________

Another example would be Mikhail Bakunin, who, like French Socialist Pierre Proudhon, was an avowed satanist.

It is said that Mao's revolutionary strategy owed more to Bakunin than to Marx.

In fact, it was Mikhail Bakunin himself who admitted the direct connection between Socialist revolutions and satanism.

Fyodor Dostoyevsky's novel THE DEVILS ( a.k.a. THE POSSESSED ) is based on the true story of a murder committed by Sergey Nechayev - a disciple and close confidant of Bakunin. It is also a
description of the political chaos arising in pre Communist Revolution Russia in the late 1800s.

One of the more intriguing parts of the novel is the revelation of a plot on the part of the Socialists to set up a false messiah (to serve as mouthpiece of the revolutionaries among the simple Russian peasants) in the person of petty nobleman Prince Stavrogin - and to introduce him to the people as the mystical, mythical Pretender from the past -"Ivan the Crown Prince."

I was blown away by this. We all know of the interconnected gadgets that Apple produces such as the iPhone or iPad, but did you know Apple is conditioning people for a cashless society directly with the sales of these gadgets?

Cash not always welcome at Apple stores

It is said that "cash is king" and that people can buy anything with U.S. currency. But, that is not always true and the red hot Apple iPad is a case in point.

It is unbelievable but true.

Apple Computer has come a long way since its old renegade pirate days when it was all about making computers accessible to everybody. Now, it seems the company is more worried about guarding against piracy.

So, your cash is not always welcome at the Apple store.

Diane Campbell can play a few songs on her guitar, but she wants to learn a few more. All she has to do, she says, is go online and download some instructions.

"Different YouTube videos where people would go online and play their music, and kind of break it down into pieces," she said describing her method.

Being disabled and on a fixed income, Campbell held off on buying a computer until the Apple iPad came along. It was small, mobile and perfect for her needs. So, little by little she saved up the $600 she needed to get one.

"It took quite a long time for me to just save up this small amount of money to go down and purchase one," she said. "I had my cash in the backpack and I went up proudly to the counter and told them, 'I would like to purchase an iPad.'"

She was at the Apple store in Palo Alto, about to pull out the big wad of cash and take home her first computer. Instead, she received a terrible blow.

"They said, 'Sorry, we don't take cash.' And, so I looked at her and I said OK she's kidding," Campbell recalled.

However, the clerk was not kidding. The Apple sales policy says if you want an iPad, you must pay by credit card or debit card. Diane didn't have any plastic and amazingly her cash was useless.

"It's sort of astounding to think here is this U.S. dollar, this money put out by the U.S. Treasury Department, and it's being turned away," Alan Fisher says.

Fisher, of California Reinvestment Coalition, advocates for low-income consumers who have trouble getting credit or mortgages.

"Apple is coming at this in a very heavy-handed way, and it means that their nice products are not being able to be enjoyed by people who already have many difficulties accessing the rest of mainstream society," he says.

"When you save for months and then you say OK I finally get to do it, finally get to have some type of internet, and all of a sudden no you don't," Campbell said.

She contacted 7 On Your Side and we contacted Apple Computer. The company only pointed to their purchase policy. It says there is a limit of two iPads per customer and you must pay by credit or debit card. Gift cards will not work either.

Apple did not respond to a 7 On Your Side request for an explanation of the policy, however, the store clerk told Campbell it was to prevent con artists from buying lots of iPads selling them overseas.

"They heard of people buying 50 and 100 iPads at a time and going overseas and selling them triple the amount, Campbell said.

Campbell walked out of the store without her iPad. She's still playing the same Eric Clapton and Elton John songs and waiting for the day Apple will take good old cash.

"Come on Mr. Jobs, give a sister a break, okay," she says. "I'm not going to go sell my iPad."

The U.S. Treasury Department says there is nothing in the law that requires companies to accept cash as payment, even though it is "legal tender." The Apple no-cash policy applies only to iPads and iPhones, although you can at least use a gift card to buy an iPhone.

Just saw something about the illegal immigration problems that I think is important. An Atlanta TV station did some digging and has found that many of those who immigrate across the Arizona borders come from Mexico and South America, but are not Hispanic. Rather, a large number come from middle eastern countries with drugs, weapons and terrorist agendas. The drug lords have been working with these potential terrorists having been paid large sums of money. I do think we have to be careful in knowing what is happening at the borders and not profiling.

Put your theosophical hats on to follow this one....

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2010/may/19/london-olympics-2012-mascot

The design of the 2012 London Olympics mascots, Wenlock and Mandeville, reflect several interesting ideas, not the least of which is the pagan/occult/masonic "point within a circle".

The creatures themselves were forged by fire, having dripped from molten metal during the construction of London’s Olympic stadium. Such a concept also reflects the NWO “Phoenix” rising out of the destruction of the Twin Towers, an event that also "coincidentally" dripped molten pools of metal all over ground zero.

Not to be overlooked is the twin mascots visual effects on children, i.e. the "alien" angle. According to the chairman of the London Olympic's organizing committee, Lord Coe, “the mascots were aimed squarely at children and designed with the digital age in mind.”

Children see things differently than adults. Try this: go to the video link above and scroll the screen so you can see just the top half of the opening still image. Try to see each black dot as the iris of an eye, with the background rainbow making up the head......the two creatures, which look hauntingly alien by themselves, appear to merge into one very alien looking being.

Another interesting aspect of these occult characters is that they were clearly designed to desensitize/condition acceptance of the Big Brother society. Note the similarities of Wenlock’s and Mandeville’s “eyes” to the thousands of mindless black dot camera lenses seen virtually everywhere in Great Britian.

Speaking of psychological effects, it bears mentioning that the original 2012 Olympic logo marketing video had to be discontinued, as it tended to trigger epileptic seizures in vulnerable individuals....proof that certain images coupled with powerful technology are NOT HARMLESS.

The history of the Much Wenlock area, Derbyshire, the “Peak District” itself is also noteworthy, having been THE center of a long tradition of paganism and neo-paganism in Great Britain.

London's choice of Olympic "mascots" seems quite appropriate, especially considering the theosophical and globally unifying significance of the event itself.

http://www.freewebs.com/buxtonilluminati/buxtonandtheoccult.htm

Another "coincidental" aspect is the Much Wenlock areas connection to the history, perhaps even the birthing, of modern Freemasonry:

In our discussion of the Euro meltdown, I recently commented on this very thing happening as a result of Brittain's refusal to help bailout Greece. If this happens Brittain goes bankrupt.

U.K. May Lose AAA Rating at S&P as Finances Weaken

May 21 (Bloomberg) -- Britain may lose its AAA credit rating for the first time as government finances deteriorate in the worst recession since World War II.

Standard & Poor’s lowered its outlook on Britain to “negative” from “stable” and said the nation faces a one in three chance of a ratings cut as debt approaches 100 percent of gross domestic product. The pound fell the most in four weeks against the dollar, the FTSE 100 Index slid as much as 2.8 percent and the cost of insuring U.K. debt against default rose.

Britain needs to sell a record 220 billion pounds ($344 billion) of bonds in the fiscal year through March 2010 as the economy contracts and Chancellor of the Exchequer Alistair Darling predicts that the budget deficit will reach 175 billion pounds, or 12.4 percent of GDP. The U.K.’s worsening finances parallel the public perception of Prime Minister Gordon Brown, whose Labour government has trailed the Conservative opposition for more than a year in polls.

“The downgrade highlights the precarious fiscal outlook the U.K. economy faces,” said Nick Stamenkovic, a strategist in Edinburgh at RIA Capital Markets, a securities broker for banks and institutional investors. “The huge amount of issuance to face the gilt market in the coming months will push yields to the upside. We’re bearish.”

Remember the global bank tax that had everyone in a dither when it was proposed by Gordon Brown because it was viewed as one more "redistribution of wealth" scam insofar as G20 countries would, according to experts, likely agree to standards in terms of financial rules, but leave it up to individual states to implement measures that best suit their domestic needs.

Look what Angela Merkel is now re-proposing.

Merkel to campaign for global bank tax<

Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, kept up pressure for a tax on financial markets on Thursday as European stock markets and the euro steadied.

She told a conference on financial regulation in Berlin: "We will campaign for a tax on the financial markets and we will campaign for that at our (G20) summit in Canada."

Bank shares benefited as investors were tempted back into the market following yesterday's steep falls. By 11.30am Britain's FTSE 100 was up 0.3pc, Germany's DAX had dipped 0.3pc and France's CAC-40 has gained 0.04pc.

Despite the relative calm, Europe's debt crisis remained the central focus. The euro, which came off fresh four-year lows around $1.21 on Wednesday after a massive €9.5bn intervention by the Swiss central bank, edged lower.

The currency was around $1.2324 by mid morning. It had spiked above $1.24 earler on speculation of a possible intervention from the Federal Reserve, European Central Bank and Bank of England, and talk that Greece may be about to leave the eurozone.

"The day will be a roller coaster, no doubt," said David Keeble, an analyst at Credit Agricole. "The German short ban has emphasised that Europe is not unified and this is at a juncture when it really, really needs to be."

Ms Merkel, in a wide-ranging speech on financial regulation, stressed the importance of tightening the fiscal rules governing the euro area, the breech of which has contributed to the current crisis.

"If you have a currency like the euro ... then you need stricter rules than other governments that just decide for their own currency," she said.

"We need to tighten up the Stability and Growth Pact," she insisted, ahead of a meeting of EU finance ministers and the EU president Herman van Rompuy to discuss the pact Friday in Brussels.

On an global bank levy, she quipped: "This is something that won't find agreement at our first dinner ... but I do not think it would ruin markets if we had international taxation."..

Germany's 'desperate' short ban triggers capital flight to Switzerland

A year ago, Germany's financial regulator BaFin warned that the toxic debts of the country's banks would blow up "like a grenade" once hidden losses from the credit crisis caught up with them....

From the same article:

...BaFin spoke of "extraordinary volatility" and said CDS moves were jeopardising "the stability of the financial system as a whole". It is unsettling that the BaFin should opt for such drastic measures a week after EU leaders thought they had overawed markets with a €750bn rescue package and direct purchases of Greek, Portuguese and Spanish debt by the European Central Bank. BaFin's heavy-handed move seems to proclaim that the rescue has failed.

The market is left asking what skeletons are lurking in the cupboard," said Marc Ostwald from Monument Securities. The short ban follows a report by RBC Capital Markets that circulated widely in the City accusing German banks of failing to come clean on 75pc of their €45bn exposure to Greek debt.

German lenders have the lowest risk-weighted capital ratios in the world after Japan. They were slow to rebuild safety cushions after the sub-prime crisis, and now face a second set of losses on Club Med holdings. Reporting rules have let Landesbanken delay write-downs, turning them into Europe's "zombie" banks.

Even so, nothing adds up in this BaFin episode. Germany acted alone, prompting a tart rebuke from French finance minister Christine Lagarde. "It seems to me that one should at least seek the advice of the other member states concerned by this measure," she said. Brussels was not notified. The deep rift between Berlin and Paris has been exposed again, leaving it painfully clear that Europe's monetary union still lacks the fiscal and governing machinery of a viable currency union.

Far from stabilising markets, BaFin's move set off a nasty sell-off in credit markets. Markit's iTraxx Crossover index – measuring risk in mid-level corporate bonds – jumped 57 basis points to 586. Markit said BaFin had caused liquidity to dry up in "febrile conditions". The Libor-OIS spread watched for signs of strain in interbank lending widened further.

If the purpose of BaFin's action was to drive wolfpack "speculators" off Greece's back, it failed. Yields on 10-year Greek bonds rose 37 basis points to 7.918pc. What it showed is that CDS contracts barely matter. The issue is whether "real money" investors such as the Chinese central bank are willing to buy Greek and Portuguese debt.

The short ban set off instant capital flight to Switzerland. BNP Paribas said €9.5bn flowed into Swiss franc deposits in a matter of hours on Wednesday morning.

The Swiss central bank intervened to hold down the franc. This caused the euro to shoot back up against the US dollar after an early plunge. The euro had already bounced off "make-or-break" technical support at $1.2135, the 50pc "retracement" of its entire rise since 2000, but any rally is likely to be short-lived.

"As a German citizen, I wish to apologise for the stupidity of my government," said Hans Redeker, currency chief at BNP Paribas. He said the CDS ban deprives reserve managers of a crucial hedging tool for non-securitised loans and will scare away global investors needed to soak up Club Med bonds.

"The European market is likely to become utterly dysfunctional. Just as the market showed signs of stabilisation with real money starting to buy euros, the Germans have destroyed this glimmer of hope," said Mr Redeker. "The BaFin ban is a desperate political move by a government battling for survival. Angela Merkel needs the support of the Left so she has given in to a witch-hunt against banks and speculators."..

EU finds that with friends like Merkel, who needs enemies?

Germany, for so long a steadying hand in Europe, has lost its touch. Or more specifically, Angela Merkel has lost her touch.

...The German Chancellor spoke yesterday of an "existential threat to financial stability" posed by markets driven by the profit motive. In fact the threat to financial stability is not the markets but the political decisions that markets are reacting to – most notably Greece's decision to run a Ponzi scheme instead of a country.

Even Merkel's unilateral ban on the short selling of European government debt, which has infuriated some of her EU partners, is an example of the disjointed and fragmented political behaviour that the euro zone suffers from so much.

No wonder markets reacted badly yesterday: confidence is draining away from the single currency, a symbol of monetary union that has never enjoyed the requisite political union to make it work. The cracks, or fault lines that John Major identified, can be papered over during a credit boom but when that bursts there is nowhere to hide....

It occurs to me that there may be more than a little poetic justice embodied in the EU crisis.

It wasn't all that long ago when Ireland was all but coerced into voting in favor of the Lisbon Treaty....with some folks in Ireland going as far as to express their belief that the swift economic downturn there was orchestrated with a view to obtaining the Irish vote in favor of the Lisbon Treaty - after Ireland had already voted it down!

At the end of the day, it may be Ireland who will echo the Book of Revelations when speaking of the former EU:

"Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great; and is become the habitation of devils, and the stronghold of every unclean spirit, and the stronghold of every unclean and hateful bird:" Revelation 14:8

A friend of mine worked many years in the Border Patrol While he was an agent he told us that many coming through Mexico are from all over the world and that they had to learn basic phrases in Russian, Farsi and other languages so that they could communicate with the people coming across. He speaks fluent Spanish. They would use ATT language translation services over the phone.
He has told me that most people don't know how bad the problem is and that there are many problems with foreign gangs in this country.
He also has told me that the federal gov. is not interested in solving the problem. That during the Bush years they would report success at preventing illegal immigration and drug trafficking but that really they would crack down at certain border points leaving other points open.

It is a sad situation. Many good people have no recourse to support their families but to emigrate. However, if we don't protect our borders we also are open to people taking advantage and pursuing criminal activity.

Another Texan,

Good post.

First of all, I want to make it clear that I am all FOR immigration - as long as it is legal immigration. What I am against is illegal aliens.

This is not to say that there are not immigration emergencies in which it is not always possible to dot one's "I's" and cross one's "T's" prior to crossing the border into the U.S.. Such emergencies are, according to a friend of mine who happens to be a social worker in California, relatively few and far between, and could be dealt with fairly on a case by case basis if the radical liberals - including groups like La Raza - were not so hellbent on doing all but outright encouraging illegals to overwhelm the system a la Cloward - Piven and bleed social service resources dry.

And then, of course, there is the issue of those who may be seeking asylum here in the U.S. because they are being persecuted in their own countries for their political and/or religious beliefs.

Apart from these aforementioned exceptions, I believe that illegal aliens should be deported since they are already getting off to a bad start by undermining their own street creds as future "good citizens" by disrespecting and violating the laws of this country.

And then there are the thefts, the murders, the drugs the kidnappings. This is not to say that we do not have our own share of criminals, but allowing more to creep in illegally from south of the border is hardly going to improve our situation.

On another note, there are certain theories - some call them "conspiracy theories" - that the reason nothing is being done to secure our borders here in the United States is because there are certain entities - very likely socialist - who want a North American Union.

To All:

Perhaps you guys will recall that I posted a link to an article entitled:

STROBE TALBOTT: RUSSIA'S MAN IN WASHINGTON

http://www.iran.org/tib/krt/strobe.htm
________________________________

Dead Wrong on the Cold war

Rarely has one man been wrong so often and been rewarded so much as Strobe Talbott. His Cold War writings on the Soviet Union would be great laugh lines on Jay Leno. He continues to have the ear of Bill Clinton, who has never opposed a single Talbott give-away to Russia, whether it involves expanded U.S. taxpayer credits for the Yeltsin government, the unilateral U.S. concession not to develop ballistic missile defenses, or the administration's intense lobbying of Congress to make sure no legislation is passed punishing Russia for its bad behavior in selling missiles to Iran and Iraq. Talbott's relationship to the president is so strong that one State Department colleague, quoted in an otherwise glowing cover profile of Talbott in the Washington Post magazine, revealed that no career diplomat would even think of opposing Talbott and his Russia-first policies, unless he was avidly seeking to join the ranks of the unemployed.

While at Time, Talbott repeatedly took positions identical to those being promoted by the KGB and its mavens of disinformation-primary among them, Talbott's friend Victor Louis. Talbott opposed President Reagan's Strategic Defense Initiative because he believed it would encourage the Soviets to increase spending on offensive weapons. "This was the same argument used by Soviet propagandists," says Herbert Romerstein, a former USIA specialist in Soviet disinformation. "In fact, SDI was one of the main factors that brought down the Soviet dictatorship."...
