Anti-Immigration hysteria -- is it leading to microchipping?

The scriptures are clear:  "You were once a stranger in a strange land.  THEREFORE, you shall treat the stranger among you with kindness.  For that, if no other reason, I have never found it in my heart to support anti-immigration campaigns.  I have many friends who feel differently, but I have stood my ground on this over the years.  Now, it appears that the anti-immigration forces might be the catalyst for increased demand for human microchipping.  A Republican physician running for office in Iowa recently said this:

“I think we should catch ’em, we should document ’em, make sure we know where they are and where they are going,” said Pat Bertroche, an Urbandale physician. “I actually support microchipping them. I can microchip my dog so I can find it. Why can’t I microchip an illegal?
“That’s not a popular thing to say, but it’s a lot cheaper than building a fence they can tunnel under,” Bertroche said.

NO, not my cat, not my dog, not my neighbor, not the alleged illegal immigrant, and definitely NOT ME!  JD and Susanna have done tremendous research on the "total tracking for global sustainability."  "Sustainability" is the New Age spin on the topic.  Anti-Immigration is the right wing spin on the subject.

I no more want Fascism wrapped in an American flag than a Green one!

Stay alert -- stay tuned

Stay UNCHIPPED!

Anon, just as you were wrong to draw conclusions about someone you did not even know, you are just as wrong in your pontificating about people in general who do good deeds.

You have no clue about why people do them yet you issue a blanket condemnation. Do you think you are God?

God has commanded us to do good deeds. The Hebrew for commandments and good deeds in Hebrew is identical: "mitzvot."

Gen. 26:4 And I will multiply your seed like the stars of the heavens, and I will give your seed all these lands, and all the nations of the earth will bless themselves by your seed, 5 Because Abraham hearkened to My voice, and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My instructions.

"[I] perform loving kindness to thousands [of generations], to those who love Me and to those who keep My commandments." (Exod. 20:6)

"You shall keep My commandments and perform them. I am the Lord." (
Lev. 22:31)

Deut. 4:1 And now, O Israel, hearken to the statutes and to the judgments which I teach you to do, in order that you may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord, God of your forefathers, is giving you. 2 Do not add to the word which I command you, nor diminish from it, to observe the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you. --- 40 And you shall observe His statutes and His commandments, which I command you this day, that it may be well with you and your children after you, and that you may prolong your days upon the earth which the Lord your God gives you forever.

"And [I] perform loving kindness to thousands [of generations] of those who love Me and to those who keep My commandments." (Deut. 5:10)

Deut. 11:13 And it will be, if you hearken to My commandments that I command you this day to love the Lord, your God, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul, 14 I will give the rain of your land at its time, the early rain and the latter rain, and you will gather in your grain, your wine, and your oil. 15 And I will give grass in your field for your livestock, and you will eat and be sated. 16 Beware, lest your heart be misled, and you turn away and worship strange gods and prostrate yourselves before them. 17 And the wrath of the Lord will be kindled against you, and He will close off the heavens, and there will be no rain, and the ground will not give its produce, and you will perish quickly from upon the good land that the Lord gives you. --- 26 Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse. 27 The blessing, that you will heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today; 28 and the curse, if you will not heed the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn away from the way I command you this day, to follow other gods, which you did not know.

"Because I loved Your commandments more than gold, even more than fine gold. --- My tongue will proclaim Your word, for all Your commandments are righteous." (Ps. 119:127, 172)

"The wise-hearted takes commandments, but he who talks foolishly will weary." (Prov. 10:8)

"The end of the matter, everything having been heard, fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the entire man." (Eccl. 12:14)

The Seventh Annual Global Classrooms D.C. Model UN Event

On Wednesday, May 5, the State Department will host more than 600 middle and high school students from the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area for the seventh annual Global Classrooms D.C. (GCDC) Model United Nations Conference. This one-day event is the culmination of a unique year-long program which links State Department volunteers to participating schools and students.

Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs Dr. Esther Brimmer will deliver the keynote address at the program’s opening ceremony, which will also feature remarks from Karen Mulhauser, President of the United Nations Association of the National Capital Area (the organizing body) and Dr. Jon Andrus, Deputy Director of the Pan-American Health Organization.

Through GCDC, middle and high school students and teachers in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area participate in year-round activities to help them understand the UN system, increase their knowledge of other cultures and traditions, improve their ability to think analytically and creatively, and tackle global problems collectively. This conference provides students the opportunity to apply what they have learned, develop their conflict resolution skills, and role-play as foreign delegates working toward international solutions

Nope National Iranian Drilling Company is State owned.

Here is the site for NIDC, you will see the one thing in English is that they are a Sub Company of National Iranian Oil Company(NIOC)

Here is some info on NIOC.

The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), under the direction of the Ministry of Petroleum of Iran, is an oil and natural gas producer and distributor headquartered in Tehran. It was established in 1951.

Regarding Iran helping us with the oil spill, I see several issues:

1. Most likely this is posturing to score political points in the world's eyes. Another step up for the Eastern powers, another step down for the West, and in particular, the United States, the "Great Satan", who is now ruining the planet because of their vast Evilness.

2. Iran is working with other Communist states to establish a military presence in Central America:

http://tinyurl.com/2caztru

I think there is a good possibility that we will see Hezbollah south of our border soon. They are probably already helping to supply drug lords and other nefarious elements in Mexico, etc, with arms and other logistical or material help. Any Iranian ships anywhere near our borders I would have on 24/7 watch, if I were in charge of the military.

One thing I am pretty sure about - and would bet a steak dinner on it - is that they aren't helping us out because they suddenly got a streak of niceness.

Halliburton Under Scrutiny for Possible Role in Oil Disaster

May 3, 2010

by: Matt Renner, t r u t h o u t | News in Brief

Halliburton Co., the notorious oil industry and military contractor, is under investigation by Congress for possible liability in the massive explosion and oil spill disaster at the BP's Deepwater Horizon offshore drilling site.

The Los Angeles Times reports that the energy services company was contracted by BP to set cement around the pipe after a hole was drilled in the sea floor, roughly 5,000 feet under the surface of the Gulf waters. The process known as "cementing" is said to be very difficult and risky. On Friday, Halliburton officials released a statement calling speculation about the cause of the disaster "premature and irresponsible."

The company has been accused of faulty cementing, leading to another oil spill off the coast of Australia, a charge that is currently under investigation.

Ever heard of Aryan thinking?
Dorothy

Wow. I’ve gone from being anti-immigration because I believe in upholding the law to Aryan (translation: Nazi) in my thinking because I hold followers of Jesus Christ to a higher standard than non-Christians.

Would you agree, Dorothy, that lying is rampant in our world, and that many people see nothing wrong with it because they don’t believe in absolutes?

If the majority of Christians don’t tell the truth anymore than other groups, they are not living out their faith in accordance with Scripture, which provides an absolute standard. Christians should live lives that honor God, which includes telling the truth and not smearing others.

Living morally upright lives is not in our genes, but rather in the new nature Christians receive when Jesus Christ enters our lives. It doesn’t mean Christians never lie or commit other sins, but we have a new nature and a Spirit that convicts us when we sin.

That’s why it’s particularly disappointing when Constance distorts the views of millions of people, including fellow Christians, by equating upholding the law with being anti-immigration. That’s a patently false, worldly tactic, and it makes me wonder what else she is distorting.

I understand Constance’s dilemma and deafening silence: If she admits she is pro illegal immigration, if she wants to disregard the law, and if she thinks the boarder should be open to anyone who wants to enter our country, rational people would understand that would result in chaos.

On the other hand, if she agrees there must be some restrictions on immigration, she is in fact anti-immigration herself(at least as she seems to define it), just with a different threshold.

Constance is entitled to her opinion, but she should not bear false witness in an attempt to justify it. Sadly, she refuses to be held accountable and fess up to her sin.

Marko and JD, your comments show a realistic side of the picture. This is not what the Obama crowd will promote.

Len, thanks for your comments to the individual who didn't do much thinking before he posted. Too many religious people think they are part of the in crowd rather than understanding they need to follow the same commandments as every one else is expected to do.

Dear Anonymous 7:17am,
I find your comment to Mariel to be deeply offensive, unmerciful, and even slanderous.

My father-in-law passed away six years ago. He wasn't a man who communicated his thoughts, feelings or beliefs to anyone.
He occasionally attended church services with us on special holidays, but he wasn't an expressive man about these occasions. He was taken from us very suddenly and our hearts have been terribly grieved by his loss. I would consider it a grievous slander to his precious legacy just to assume, because I was never given a specific profession of his faith, or a baptism certificate in his name, that he had never made a profession of his faith in the Lord.

Only God knows my father-in-law's heart, therefore I will leave the judging of such things in His hands.

I remain confident and always hopeful in the fact that I was faithful in prayer at times together with him, but always for him throughout the years that I had the privilege of sharing in this life with him.

What other comfort could I offer my sweet children, however, if we have no hope for his salvation even when we do not know for certain where he stood with God?

A precious friend of mine had a very young son who recently committed suicide only to be discovered by my friend very shortly after he had done so. They never saw it coming. He was a joyful, charming, intelligent talented young man with everything to live for.
He had made a profession of his faith in God as a little boy, but throughout his teen years he had begun to enjoy life as the "life of the party" and he partied very hard.

I do not know where he stood with God when he decided that he didn't want to be here in this life anymore.

What comfort could I give to this deeply grieving friend if I could not offer her a hope that God was with him even though he lost the battle within him when he pulled the trigger?

As a pastor's daughter, I have many, many more incidences that I could share similar to these.

I encourage you to hold your tongue before it gets further in the way and does terrible damage to grieving hearts.

By His Grace,

Don, you may suppose you are holding Christians to a higher standard than others, but that is only in your head, your view of things. Other higher standards exist for other religious groups, higher than Christians are supposed to hold.

That doesn't mean that everyone knows the standards or lives up to them these days. They depend on their teachers who disappoint them.

The problem I have with you is that you are trying to separate the morality of Judaism and make the morality of the Christian community superior even though it is based on the morality of Judaism and you are not taking into account what Judaism morality is.

Yes, Jews and Christians all do not live up to the ideals that their religion could teach them. They do not have enough teachers.

I am not defending Constance, but it appears she is seeing only those illegal immigrants who understand they are in a new culture and understand they can't carry their culture into a new country. Their view of religion and their relation to the government is not the same here as in Mexico. That's the crux of the problem. Two different views of the world around them are not coming together.

Moving off to a new topic doesn't deal with the current problem. This occurs here regularly.

SV,
You are on target. We all try to reach out to those around us and yet we fail because of our own frail natures. None of us live up to all that we can try to do. Too many slip away and are not reached.

Why hold those who are not reached responsible while those of us who are expected to do the work and can't fulfill the goal given to us free.

I've tried to warn many others over the years about the dangers of the NA movement. I've reached few despite my efforts. So I don't hold Jews or Christians who have worked to teach others their religious beliefs responsible for those who haven't been convinced enough to listen.

Dear Dorothy,
I share in your struggles. I know that I'm not nearly as knowledgeable, understanding or discerning as God has gifted you and Constance and others I've met here on this blog, but He has given me a steadfast heart filled with the joy of the Lord in spite of the grievous things I've witnessed in my life.
That steadfastness has always kept me sincere in my faith in the Lord.
I know that each person must choose whom they will serve.
"And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that [were] on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."-Joshua 24:15

I can only share my testimony and I can only walk alongside others, in the love of the Lord, so that I may obey Him with a humble heart considering others better than myself.-Philipians 2:3
I am a work-in-progress in this pursuit.:)
Keep up the good work, friend.
The battle is intensifying and there are so few warriors at the ready.

By His Grace,

More on the oil platform explosion. A caller to the Mark Levin show who was one of the survivors puts to rest the idea that it was terrorism or anything other than an accident, and mostly one of those "once-in-a-lifetime" accidents:

Anon 12:12: The person who fed a whole town was not my father, but my father-in-law, whom I never met, as he had died by the time I met my husband. I know of him only in "sainted memory", as they put it. He
was a Jew who prayed every night in Hebrew, but did not teach it to his children, sending them instead to the only Christian church in town.

I realize, other Anon, that Jesus knows the heart and can save people right up until the time of death; I happen to think that some people are saved after death, this being an
effect of my Catholic training, from the first church I ever went to, starting as a teenager in college. I have no "brief" for purgatory, don't know if it exists, doubt it, but I think God is immensely big and powerful and can save many. If Jesus can appear in a Moslem's dreams, he can appear to a devout Jew at his death.

Saying I risk my eternal salvation by believe this means that you think our God is a bureaucrat rather than a passionately loving
Father. I believe you will be saved, you believe I won't. God alone knows. You do NOT know.

Don said...

Constance,

You are completely wrong in your statement about my beliefs. I trust that you carry out your legal duties with greater care and diligence than you have exhibited in this matter.

It appears you either did not read my previous comments or you are intentionally distorting my views. I sincerely hope it is the former. If you are at all concerned about fairness and the facts, I suggest you go back and review all three of my comments IN THEIR CONTEXT.

Dorothy accused me of “Aryan thinking” because I hold Christians to a higher standard than non-Christians. My comment about a higher standard was in direct reference to your smearing those of us who believe in upholding current immigration law as being “anti-immigrant.” I stated that was something I would expect from non-Christians but not from a fellow Christian. In no way do I affirm Aryan/Nazi thinking, nor am I “anti-immigrant.” I am pro immigrant, pro law, pro people of all races and pro Jesus Christ.

As Christians we are to love all people, and Gal. 3:28 clearly states, “There is no Jew or Greek, slave or free, male or female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” That’s why I find it so offensive that you would attempt to link Christians and others who believe in upholding the law as being against immigrants. Nothing could be further from the truth. I simply don’t believe we should reward bad behavior (i.e. entering this country illegally), especially when there are many people who have waited years to become U.S. citizens through appropriate legal channels.

You’re entitled to your opinion, but you are wrong to portray those who disagree as racists. I profoundly disagree with the way you distorted the issue and I disaffirm your tactics. There is no biblical basis to justify them.

Dorothy – Here’s the bottom line to your concerns: a good, moral person will still go to hell without receiving Jesus as savior for his or her sins. This is not my thinking; it is biblical thinking. In John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

You can choose to agree or disagree, but your real problem is with Jesus, not me. It is true that non-Christians can do good things, but the Bible is clear that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). In Isaiah 64:6 we are told that from God’s perspective “…all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment…”

The new nature I referenced in a previous comment is described in Gal. 5: 6-26. In Eph. 5:8, Paul puts it this way: “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.”

Please hear me that I am NOT saying that non-Christians cannot be honest or tell the truth; of course they can and many live good lives, at least by the world’s standards.

While high moral standards exist for other religious groups, they are operating by what the Bible calls “the flesh.” Col 3:9 says, “Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his practices.” The “old man” there refers to our old, fleshly nature prior to receiving Jesus into our lives, which gives us a new Spiritual nature. Every earthy teacher has the sin nature, too. We are born with it.

I think it is a fair statement, backed by real-world evidence, that the world is filled with lies and deceit. Doesn’t it make sense that Christians – who have the Spirit of God living in us and guiding us in all truth - ought to live by a higher moral standard than non-Christians who still have the old, sinful nature?

No one, no matter how good or morally upright, can meet God’s standard of perfection apart from personally accepting God’s love and forgiveness through Jesus’ death on the cross for our sins. Jesus lived a perfect life, and He died for your sins and mine so that we can enjoy eternal life with Him. If you have not taken that important, life-changing step of inviting Jesus into your life, I encourage you to do so.

MY HIV/AIDS HEALING TESTIMONY
I was a HIV-AIDS patient and I got it from cheating on my husband. It was sort of a payback but a week later I was told by a friend that the person who I cheated with had the HIV-AIDS virus and did not tell me. I was so stupid by not using a condom I thought since he was an old school friend he was trustworthy. But I was wrong. I cried and cried. Two days later, I got a phone call from my friend and she told me about a person who is known by another friend, who can help me. I could not let my husband know what I was going through. I finally got his email address[homeofsolveingproblems@gmail.com] and I text this man my story and he replied me immediately saying i should be calm and told me that everything will be OK. I could not come to terms with what I was hearing but then I concluded it did not matter because I was so broken up I just needed help. I was going out of my mind literally. I was confused with what he was telling me, but I listened. He told me about some materials i need to buy that he needed to cast the spell and I said OK. I bought the materials to him,i sent down my picture to him and my positive result sheet and he replied me that i am going to be negative under 3 days.I message Him every 2hours for 2day and I knew he thought that I was crazy but I did care I needed a shoulder.Behold, the third day he messaged me i should go for a test that i will be negative. My marriage could be broken because of a stupid mistake and my life was on the line. I remembered when I was going to get the results of my re-test I called him up again and told him that I was going to get my results today and his reply was “so" and that everything will be as he explained. I knew then that he was getting tired of me calling him, maybe I was wrong. Well I got my results and the first person I called up was him - again. As he said hello I started to cry and cry. I could not believe it. I was given a second chance in life. This man is a great spiritual HIV/AIDS healer, his healing spell on aids healing is very powerfull.please brothers and sister, contact Dr.saba email now at:homeofsolveingproblems@gmail.com
