While waiting for USA inauguration, Who's in charge in Europe?

Tomorrow, the guard changes in Washington, D.C., USA. Europe has been relatively quiet. It does not appear that Javier Solana will be present at the inauguration. His itinerary shows he has a busy day, instead, in Brussels. It is clear to me that his present low profile is being maintained; but that his powers are far from diminished. The European "chain of command" is shown in this Western European Union article. In the event it predictably disappears, take cheer, I have multiple archived it. For now, you may read it by clicking here. For the benefit of the "uninitiated" Javier Solana controls the Western European Union as its Secretary General. SG/HR which you will read in numerous "chain of command" paragraphs is Javier Solana's position with the European Union.

With the changing of the guard, we have an already friendly to Javier Solana Washington, even friendlier. Solana has already expressed high hopes about working mutally with the Obama adminstration, as has Mikhail Gorbachev. Joe Biden reportedly once said he wished he could vote for Javier Solana as President of the United States. Joe Biden, come tomorrow, is Vice President of the United States. President-Elect Obama once served under Joe Biden's Chairmanship of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Hillary Clinton is Secretary of State-Designee. Javier Solana has held meetings with her in the past two years in Washington, D.C. It was her husband, Bill Clinton, as President of the United States who boosted Solana to the all-powerful NATO headship on November 30, 1995.

It looks to me like it is a heady time coming up for Javier Solana who given his Middle East roles and anti-Piracy patrol is likely to become much higher profile in the days to come.

Stay tuned!

In some ways, Joe Biden may have voted for Solana by proxy. Obama the next best thing to Solana? Maybe.

From the link provided by CC:

"The European Union Military Staff (EUMS) is for all practical purposes a staff at the disposal of the Military Committee. Its main tasks are early warning, situation assessment and strategic "pre-decision" planning (i.e. prior to the political decision for the EU to intervene) in the event of an emerging crisis by proposing "strategic options". In administrative terms, it is a Council Secretariat department directly attached to the Secretary General/High Representative (SG/HR). "

The last sentence say it all.
Thanks Constance.

Well it seems that tomorrow the first Muslim president of the United States will be inaugurated. Oops, did I say Muslim? Yes, in Islam, religious heritage is reconed through the father rather than the mother as in Judaism.

The thing that interests me is the hype both here and abroad that surrounds Obama. The Muslim world appears to be rather ambivalent about him at this time but the rest of the world is WOW'd by his... charisma? I am not sure, maybe it is just the first black man to be elected president and that strikes a chord with other minorities around the world. Certainly it is historic.

But there may be more, Vatican is skeptical and says that "on jan 20th people will be expecting the new American president to walk on water".

Could it be that Obama is the anitchrist?

Does anyone know much about Facebook? I have always felt the Lord warning me to steer clear, but something unsettling happened the other day... our pastor was at our house and wanted to show us some vacation photos. He used my computer (which has never been to facebook) and it actually recognized him and prompted him with his own email and password. I can only suppose that it sorted through my address book? He has never been on my laptop before. I also noticed how many people I knew that were on there with loads of personal information posted, down to what they were doing at that very moment. Waiting on dinner... getting ready for this or that... It was very, very strange to me. Sorry to be off-topic.

I have a facebook account and I love it. The reason I love it is that I am able to keep in contact with those I normally wouldn't. Recently I connected to a highschool classmate who was later became a college roommate for a bit...and we lost touch for like 9 years. We now "chat" every night. Also, last night I had a mini bible study with another friend from highschool and he lives in my hometown 4 hours away. During this time of my life I enjoy using Facebook.

I have a Facebook account as well and have found it really helpful for keeping in touch with friends and family. You can limit your personal info as well as limit who sees your profile and who is on your list of contacts.

I feel like it's pretty neutral on the evil end times tools scale. On one hand it is making our world a MUCH smaller place, just as most internet tools do. On the other hand it could be misused at some point to gather information about people. But, the internet is already at that place so I am not so worried about Facebook.

I don't know much about the computer tech stuff but always remember the number 1 rule of the internet: ANYTHING done via the net is NEVER private. If for no other reason than there are people that have to run the technologies to keep it all going. Even this blog is a stretch for me. I have been leery and warning my kids about my space and facebook for years but they're old enough to make those decisions on their own. There are reports (Jack Van Impe for one) of giant databases compiling all this info from the net. And AT&T was busted out in a TV news show a year or so ago for storing the data from it's customers. There is spyware, trojans and the like that snoop in your computer. Yahoo has a beacon.

On another note, my website is finally up. It is just the beginning, we wanted to at least get it started. I am not trying to redirect traffic from here, I think that is bad, but I'd like some input if anyone is interested.

Young Grasshopper, I was wondering if you'd like to put together your research on fractals and include it there? Or any other subject you think appropriate.

The same invitation goes out to everyone, like Rose, your information on euthenasia, I can provide a link from my site under that topic to you.

Joyce, I wouldn't know what to begin to ask you to consider posting, but you have so much Biblical background, my email links are there if you think of something.

Susanna, you have read and researched so much, your input would be great too. A list of recommended readings perhaps?

Just ideas. Ya'll may not want to be linked there. I know we will disagree on some matters. It's not my goal to be an authority on things but rather a database of research related to the NAM.

Ted,

You need to explore the case on Javier Solana, who has a more fitting history. However, Obama is certainly someone to watch. I don't think he's a Muslim, per se. He calls himself a Christian. If he has truly accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior, then great. I suspect, however, that he's a believer in all faiths leading to salvation and that he may believe that he is above religion in some way. This is just a hunch. He would make a good candidate for Benjamin Creme's Maitreya. He could convince Muslims he's the Imam Mahdi, whatever that is.

I must say I'm quite anxious, now this Inauguration thing is almost here. There's something about Obama that freaks me out.

Constance, your linked document "European Union operational chains of command" is dated May 6, 2008.

A WEU press release dated Dec. 3, 2008 is entitled "EU should look to future needs in streamlining operational chains of command."

http://www.assembly-weu.org/en/presse/cp/2008/34-2008.php?PHPSESSID=f3137d60

If Dr. Solana figures so prominently in the first document (i.e., see Paul's 9:55 am post), chances are that the good doctor figures even more prominently in the second, albeit inconspicuously.

2 cents.

P.S. In the 12/3/08 WEU press release, note the reference to the "Berlin Plus" agreement, which, as noted by Mr. Herb Peters, gives the EU access to NATO assets in the event of a crisis, and is based on an exchange of letters between the NATO Sec.-Gen. and Dr. Solana:

http://www.nato.int/shape/news/2003/shape_eu/se030822a.htm

It is short, worthwhile reading.

In response to the Facebook discussion, unless you have an HTTPS site for posting financial, personal information, there is no expectation of privacy on the internet. That is one reason I was so terribly disturbed by some of the nasty exchanges over the Christmas holidays.

Excerpt from the Berlin Plus agreement webpage link above:

"All parts are tied together through the so called "Framework Agreement", which consists essentially of an exchange of Letters between SG/HR and SG NATO, dated 17 Mar 03. Since that day, the "Berlin plus" package has been in effect and serves as the foundation for practical work between EU and NATO. In that, the view of EU-led CMO makes use of NATO planning support or NATO capabilities and assets for the execution of any operations."

SG/HR is a direct reference to the good doctor; Sec.-Gen. (SG) of the Council of the European Union and High Rep. (HR) of the Common Foreign and Security Policy of the European Union. Not to mention his many other titles.

Constance Cumbey said...

As regards the BERLIN PLUS discussion. As early as 1998, I noted that Javier Solana was saying: 'THE PLAN IS TO USE NATO ASSETS WITH EUROPEAN CONTROL OF THOSE ASSETS." I wrote a fictionalized account of this which you can find on this blog's archives. We are likely to be nuked back to the stone age with our own weaponry. That is one reason Donald Rumsfeld (whom I otherwise heartily dislike) threatened Europeans with withholding money to complete their new NATO headquarters. The WEU/EU/NATO factions are virtually synonymous; particularly since Javier Solana, during his NATO tenure, split the commands in two: The USA headquartered at Norfolk, VA and the European one at Brussels.

Voluntary for now...but as critical issues heat up, I think they will move to make this kind of thing mandatory.

Constance, you're right, it is Biblical to help those less fortunate. The early Christian church even sold their belongings and distributed the proceeds amongst them. (Acts) That would nearly have to be described as communism. However, it had as it's head, Jesus Christ with the power, guidance and protection of the Holy Spirit, that's much different than the power, guidance and "protection" of the U.S. Government or the U.N.

Rose, no I didn't know of blog alerts, good to know.

I think you are right it could become mandatory. Why not, Obama has decided to make community service for children, and young adults, and possibly seniors mandatory. Why not this.

I fear there will be many force works of “goodness” place upon us. God wants us to choose “good” not be forced to do “good”. But the limousine liberal occultists know what is best for everyone. Including themselves what is best for themselves is for us to do what they want! They make the decisions for the mindless masses. They feel they are doing us a favor since we are so inept to make decisions for ourselves, because we keep choosing stupid things like believing in a God that judges the world. So they will take that option away because it is competition with them.

Did you know about google turning over data to the CDC of our searches?

Is there anything stopping us from giving service and doing it in Jesus' name, giving God the glory?

I suspect not! Again, my concerns are MANDATORY service -- not voluntary good works that might help our neighbors.

Hi, Suzette!

WOW! Did you see who this I AM University is about? It is run by Dr. Joshua David Stone with his assistant Gloria Excelsias (can you make this up?). Below are some quotes from their site. Hmmm.....I wonder if Benjamin Crème knows about this….?

This Dr. Stone is claiming that he has “Humbly been Offered a Future Spiritual Leadership Position in the Inner Plane Spiritual Government by Lord Maitreya to take over “The Office of the Christ and Head of the Hierarchy for the Lifewave currently Incarnated on Earth” when Lord Maitreya Moves on to his Next Higher Cosmic Position!”......

“I was then told by Melchizedek the Universal Logos, “The I AM University is set to become the biggest, most influential Spiritual teachings on the planet! The new world religion of which the Masters speak is closely connected with its teachings. Joshua’s readership will widen beyond his imaginings and will be a legacy for the New Millennium!”………..

“So my humble work with the Masters is not to change anyone’s path or religion, but to just show the unity and oneness of all paths and tie them all together! That is what I have done in my Easy To Read Encyclopedia of the Spiritual Path, with Wesak in Mt Shasta, and for that matter in all the work I do!”….

“It is my humble work in co-creation with Spirit and the Masters as the World Teacher and next holder of the Planetary Christ in the Office of the Christ, to show the unity of all religions and Spiritual paths in as many ways and lenses as I can!”….

“In conclusion, so after this all was explained to me and I knew Master Kuthumi felt good about this, I accepted Lord Maitreya’s most gracious offer and signed on the dotted line! Even though I will not fully move into this position of Office of the Christ or Planetary Christ and head of the entire Spiritual Hierarchy of the lifewave currently incarnated on Earth for 150 - 200 years, this will give me time to run one of the Eight inner plane Ashrams of the Christ which will provide a good foundation, and then it will be an easy transition to move into the position of Office of the Christ!”......

------------

“I AM” also reminds me of the Moses Code. Of course all this stuff is related at its satanic root. Some of the things that “Gloria” writes about Dr. Stone sound like he’s dead.
Creepy!

See here we are on MLK day and not one word yet of his contributions to the burgeoning new spirituality and new age movement. Now while a Baptist minister, he focused on social change. I do not believe really here one word about the Gospel but rather equality with "image of God" that all are God's children. Today we see the ever increasing push toward essential tolerance with absolute moral inclusivity. MLK, as much good as he did, is an antichrist type.

The sad thing is the church has let the NAM gain credance in transforming society because the church has left focus on God and moved toward focus on self with absolute self-centered hypocrascy and growing lines of potential avenues of apostacy.
Yet Jesus was tempted at all levels, did the church really expect to be immune and ignored?

I just had a strange thought:

Obama's "everybody pitch in" reminds me a little of George H. W. Bush's "A Thousand Points of Light."

It will be interesting to see this one play out. I will admit, however, I am encouraged that Barack took his children to a Baptist service yesterday. At least the children might get some good old fashioned Sunday School formation; provided they haven't already Pastor Wright may have had his faults, but his theology, at least on the surface. sounded relatively orthodox. I heard him in his Detroit speech soundly criticize Farrakhan.

Thanks for the comment. I have been watching and reading this blog for a couple of years and JS does look like a good candidate although lacking in charisma. It is just that there is something strange about the worlds expectations surrounding Obama.

As regards his Muslim status - Obama himself does not consider himself a Muslim because he thinks in terms of Western culture where what one believes is considered a choice. In the bulk of the world, especially in the Middle East, ones religion is cultural and predetermined by parentage. This alone should make him palatable to the majority of Muslims - Maitreya might be an interesting possibility.

Ted,

As I understand it, Barack Obama, Sr., skipped out on Barack, Jr. for most of his life. Hardly an influence. In such a case most children will identify with the only parent and caregivers around, which were his mother and grandparents. I believe Obama is a Christian until something convinces me otherwise. I have my hunches, but it's not enough. Although, Brother Jason makes a good point. Plus, Obama is not of Mid-East descent.

I'm hoping and praying that Obama is not the Antichrist or an agent of and that he truly is a faithful servant of our Lord. I do pray for his safety and his family's safety. But, I'm keeping my eye on him.

Constance,

I too heard some of Rev Wright's speeches that weren't as extreme as the media painted him to be. Most of what was inflammatory, grandiose and ludicrous was taken out of context, but I wonder if he was grand-standing for the media or that is his standard mode of operation. When I heard a speech in it's entirety some of the crazy remarks made sense and were just hard truthes.

I think anyone who will teach hard hitting, sin and morality doctrine will be targeted and made a fool of. I'm not sure Rev. Wright is all right, I'm sure he's not 100%, but I think the media's portrayal of him was out of balance.

A thousand points of light - New Age all the way!

Rose,
I hadn't heard specifically about google, but I assume everything I do with digital data, computers, automation and networking is being tracked and logged. I've heard they have been databasing communications since WWII but that is not verifiable of course. If you know of any other good sites, you can email them and I'll try to catagorize them as best as possible, they're very interelated so it's difficult.

I was reading the dictionary there, it's quite "enlightening" :) Everything you always wanted to know about the New Age in alphabetical order. Some of the names of the masters are the (demons?) that were used in JK Rowling's Harry Potter Series. I had recently learned that she used real demonic names but couldn't verify until now.

Just read the December release. I had found the other on a google search for "Chain of Command" "SG/HR" and "2009." The bottom line of all of this is:

1. Javier Solana needs more consolidation of power.
2. Javier Solana needs more consolidation of resources.
3. The EU was "ineffective" on the Chad deal because Javier Solana did not get 1 and 2 above fast enough.

REMEMBER, Javier Solana IS the WEU! The "ten kings" shared it with him a very short time -- for about one month in fall of 1999 -- after he took the CFSP position about one month?

Hmmmmm? They shared power ONE HOUR with the beast . . ."

Well, your guess is as good as mine, but I still think JS is ONE EDUCATED GUESS, at least until another comes along!

If he's not "the dude" maybe he should be apprehended under an EU warrant for the attempted identity theft -- if not the "International Criminal Court" . . . LOL

JS is on the short list to be sure. There are supporting roles, as prophesied in Revelations. The way to destruction is broad, I think the research here shows just how broad that can be!

I heard an interesting theory on a podcast the other day, he said, beware of the one who saves us from the New World Order, i.e. beware the New, New World Order. He made a valid point. Will one arise to "save us" from the one world government or other impending events? It was Salvation Revelation, but I can't tell you which episode.

The end of the Gaza war is right on schedule with Israel pulling out. The results were predictable. Israel would not do away with Hamas. Now Hamas will receive billions to "rebuild Gaza" thus legitimizing Hamas, strengthening Hamas. Like Hizb'allah a couple of years ago, Hamas is claiming "victory" even though 1300 people died and the destruction was devastating. This is the twisted mentality of these kind of leaders, but now let's look at what is being said by the world leaders.

The Saudis said that their plan is not going to be on the table forever. Their plan is to "normalize" relations with Israel and Israel pulls back to 67 borders. Europe is pushing accelerate negotiations under an Obama regime:

http://tinyurl.com/9urp5o

Israel is facing lawsuits for the rocket attacks in Gaza. UN is not happy that some of their buildings were hit in attacks. The wave of anti-semitic demonstrations around the world has been enormous.

If Obama is going to "be the change" and is going to improve relaitons with the Arab world as he has said, it is evident that Israel relations will suffer.

Everyone agrees that Israel shouldn't have to put up with rockets hitting houses in their cities, but no one agrees that Israel has the right to act in self defense to close tunnels that weapons are coming through, supplied by Iran.

The Arabs know that a peace deal is impossible without Palestinian unity, so they want Hamas and Fatah to make up. Israel will be pressured by the world to enter into negotiations with people dedicated to their destruction, which includes both Hamas and Fatah. If Fatah has been quiet, it's only because they know it brings in lots of money. The world has been giving billions to the Palestinian government.

Israel has their own elections coming up, so it will be interesting to see if the attack in Gaza helped or hurt Livni.

The corrupt Arab regimes are all looking after their own backsides because if their streets get too hot their own positions and power are in jeopardy. They have tried to give a united front, but are far from united, except in one thing, their hatred of Israel.

The EU is banking on Obama doing something
quickly.

The next few days should be interesting, keeping in mind Obama received heavy support from Soros, who hates Israel and Brzezinksi. He has said, he'll support Israel, so let's see what that actually means.

Everyone is searching for this elusive peace, when we know only the Prince of Peace can establish it.

Spanish is a difficult language for me, but the tone of the following is that Israel lost all in Gaza and gained nothing. Some of you language students may do better than me. Constance,

Here's what Babel did with it. Haven't taken Spanish in years:

Solana: " All we have lost in Gaza" The high representative of Foreign policy and Security of the EU hopes that the Palestinian president " he does not leave debilitated the conflict with Israel very because its institutional figure is fundamental" Joaquin Moon | Barcelona | 18/01/2009 | Updated to 03:31 h | The International All we have lost in Gaza" , the journalistic attempt trenches Javier Solana to appoint winners - Turkey? , Iran? , the electoral aspirations of Barak and Livni? - and losers of this war of three weeks, in the interview in Barcelona, the night before last. What has gained Israel? This leaves bitterness, by the human suffering. When memory the optimism and the hopes of half-full of December… I believe that hurt that leaves, even within the world Javier Solana during the interview in the Majestic hotel, in Barcelona/Álex Garci'a

Maybe someone can do a better job than that..? Obviously Babel doesn't take grammar into account.

I have just finished watching Barack Obama's swearing in and inauguration speech with mixed feelings. I have video recorded the speech and I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunities to download it from the internet later. He is a brilliant writer and orator. He reportedly does his own speech crafting, a job I did for others when I worked in various political positions in the past. I could not help but notice that the phrase "New Age" was used multiple times. So was "outworn dogmas." I will indicate my deep concerns. On the other hand, God is in control and has ordained these events, leadership at this time. Pray for the USA as we go through these critical times.

One further thing. It is most obvious to me that Barack Obama's hair has noticeably grayed since his election. WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President-elect Barack Obama is considering issuing an executive order to reverse a controversial Bush administration abortion policy in his first week in office, three Democratic sources said Monday.

Obama's second full day as president falls on the 36th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion in the United States.

The sources said Obama may use the occasion to reverse the "Mexico City policy" reinstated in 2001 by Bush that prohibits U.S. money from funding international family planning groups that promote abortion or provide information, counseling or referrals about abortion services. It bans any organization receiving family planning funds from the U.S. Agency for International Development from offering abortions or abortion counseling.
The "Mexico City policy," commonly referred to by critics as "the global gag rule," was devised by President Ronald Reagan in 1984 at a population conference in Mexico City.

President Bill Clinton lifted the ban in January 1993 as one of his first acts as president, but President George W. Bush reinstated it in his first executive order on January 22, 2001, the 28th anniversary of Roe v. Wade.

At the time, critics -- including Planned Parenthood -- called the move a "legislative ambush."

Bush defended the action, saying then: "It is my conviction that taxpayer funds should not be used to pay for abortion or actively promote abortion."

Yes, President Obama talking of new age is not a shocker. He was endorsed by "jezebel" Oprah after all. I strongly beleive we are in a period of establishing that which is to come. I may be wrong, but that remains the sense I have. The wave of economic trouble are devastating and the full force has not yet hit. Question is will there be a temporary revival before ultimate collapse. There is much speculation out there that is much fear based, yet I also note that new age is getting ever bolder, but yet subtle.

Any of you catch the www.ooVoo.com ads. They have one with folks from varied "religions" talking and use the phrase we are all connected. It is subtle how these messages get thrown into the public consciousness, and sometimes they are just down right blunt.

We need to pray, and seek God, because without that, it is all but fear. Whatever is ahead is but temporary and God is still in control.

Rick Warren gets tepid response,

Hi all,
I attend a women's prayer group on Tuesday morning. We were praying pretty hard this morning! I'd please ask that others pray for this President as well. People who have been following my blog know that I was originally an Obama supporter. I voted for him in the primary. I was very enthralled by the idea of hope and change. But around May the Lord really began grieving my spirit about him. That's when I started really looking into his record on abortion. I started my blog The Obama Nation in late May as a result of very deep spiritual misgivings about him. I, like Dave in BC, and many others here, have had a feeling of foreboding about him for a very long time now. That being said, God will use Obama to perform His perfect will. We need not have a spirit of fear, and we are commanded to pray for those in authority. I know many here also have deep misgivings about Rick Warren. Although I haven't really followed the fracas as to why he's considered New Age, I did start reading his book years ago and put it down in disgust after the second chapter. This in spite of a 40 day prayer vigil using his book as a guide at my Assemblies of God Church (I no longer go there).

For whatever it's worth, my husband watched part of Warren's speech and called to tell me that Warren evidently did evoke the name of Jesus in his speech. For that alone we should be very grateful as I've read that he was under tremendous pressure to not do it. Link here:

http://news.aol.com/political-machine/2009/01/20/rick-warren-gets-tepid-response/

I posted a link earlier this morning about the abortion funding bill that anonymous 12:48 just cited. Let's not make it easy for Obama to do this. Please call your congressman and Senate TODAY and let them know you do not want taxpayer money funding overseas abortions, aka "family planning"! Here's the link again:

The last prayer was also very powerful. I'm not sure of the name of the Rev. who did the prayer and I would like to get a copy of the prayer. Now that I come to think of it I'm not sure I heard reference to Jesus.

Obama's speech had some really great references although I was aware of the ones about a new world, global change, etc....

Great White Brotherhood and the appearing of Maitreya, published in 1925:
http://www.yamaguchy.netfirms.com/vegyes_/leadbeat.html

The Obama's choosing of Mr. Warren must have been intended to show the aim. Warren would like a unified world religion and the Obama would like a unified world religion. Not surprisingly the Maitreya also would like a unified global religion.

"The World-Teacher will come when He thinks well, but we are told that the Coming will be soon. The Order of the Star in the East was established thirteen years ago to prepare for that Coming __by drawing together people of every sect and religion all over the world__, who for various reasons believe in the near approach of the World-Teacher, and are willing to combine in a grand effort to proclaim it to the world, and prepare themselves as far as may be to be useful servants of the Lord when He comes."

"The Coming of Christ is indeed connected with an end--not the end of the world, but the end of an age or dispensation. The Greek word is aion, which is the same as æon in English ; and just as Christ said two thousand years ago that the dispensation of the Jewish law had come to an end, because He had come to found a new one, that of the Gospel, so will the era of the Gospel come to an end, when He returns and founds yet another."

Never in the history of the United States have we seen people foaming at the mouth and being beside themselves at the induction of a new president. The rest of the planet surely never jumped up and down at the sight of a new U.S. president.

If the Obama makes peace in the Middle-East in 2009 and brakes it in 2012 ..... time to run for a cave

Hi All,
Rick Warren invoked the name of Isa. Isa is the name used for "Jesus" in the Qur'an but not the "Jesus" most of you know and love. The Isa of the Qur'an was born of a virgin, but was not crucified and is not deity.

There is a name in Arabic for Yeshua and it is ironically enough Yesua since the Hebrew and Arabic languages are very close, so who was the Isa Rick Warren invoked, and since I'm sure he is well informed, at least as informed as I am if not a lot more... why did he specifically invoke an Isa of the Qur'an who was not crucified.

There are many theories in Islam about what happened to "Isa" but none of the theories include dying on a cross.

Obama invoked his legal, but very Muslim sounding name Hussein.

I want to suggest that nothing that happened in the inauguration was spontaneous, but all was carefully crafted. The crowd was mesmerized. The emotions the highest I've seen in years. He prepared us for things that he is going to do "differently" so we should be surprised when the course of American history changes radically.

The planners carefully chose someone who would evoke incredibly powerful emotions, particularly among the disenfranchised.

I heard the same phrase as Constance, New Age.. It kind of hit me on the head..

Yes, folks we are entering into prophetic times. We might not all agree on the tribulation, the antimessiah, doctrine, etc. but I think there is one thing we can all agree on, and that is we are entering prophetic times.

Let's keep our eyes on the Scriptures, and on Abba. He is sovereign and if He is permitting this, you can be sure He will divide the wheat from the chaff.

The only thing that we will be able to depend on in the days ahead are the Scriptures. God will teach us how to listen very carefully to what He has to say.. For those who have ears, listen.

Gretchen,

Thanks so much for posting that! As I said, I didn't hear it, but my husband did, so I wasn't sure whether to be convinced or not of his sincerity, especially since I haven't followed the controversy surrounding him on this blog.

Warren introduced our Lord by saying the One who changed my life, and then pronounced the name of Yeshua, Jesus and Jesu,(accounting for the fact that the G in Jesus is not pronounceable in certain languages, and is pronounced differently in various parts of the world), and went on the say, "and who taught us how to pray..." He then recited the Our Father in its entirety.

I don't know of anyone other than our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, who taught us to pray that way.

I also felt quite moved by Warren's prayer, regardless of doctrinal differences here.

Young Grasshopper said...

Well, okay, thankfully Joyce cleared that one up.

Thankfully we have Joyce to help us here, in spite of the fact she has been persecuted here for her knowledge of things the rest of us just don't know.

Joyce,

Now I am not so happy......

Young Grasshopper said...

Joyce,

But what about his following the introduction of Jesus with the fact that he said, "The one that taught us to pray..."

He then said the Our Father?

Did anyone else in history teach us to pray with those words?

It is the strategy of the anti-Christ to counterfeit goodness.

--
The Obama phenomenon is much bigger then his colour, more than America getting closure on certain notorious parts of history, it represents the triumph of counterfeit goodness. For example: "Change" is ontologically meaningless, but getting people to concentrate on the abstraction of "Change" means their minds are blank. Such an attitude seems gentle and kind, even Christ like, but mental blankness prevents one from contemplating the logos: Christ...
--

Finally, Obama probably does have Arabic ancestors on his fathers side, but this doesn't translate into dual loyalty. I don't think he believes in anything.

I looked up "who is Isa" in google and found this interesting site.
I have heard of many Muslims who have dreamed of "Isa" and have come to realize that He is Jesus of the Bible the Messiah. They have in turn come to know the Jesus of the Bible who appeared to them in a dream and who is alive and who saves.

Just a thought on "Isa".

HH, I'm with you on that.

As far as Obama’s Inaugural Address, what jumped out at me was when “O” promised that “science will be raised to it’s rightful place”.

Gee, what “rightful place” is he talking about?

I believe the “O” is not just stating his intentions to follow the agenda of the global warming carbon tax proponents, but to actually enshrine “science” as the first mass publicly accepted pillar of global cooperative governance and/or global religious overarching infrastructure.

Consider the emerging field of “Neurotheology”, which is defined as “the marriage of brain science and theology”.

Neurotheology pretends to explain all conceptual and historical experiences of “god”, in all his/her/it’s manifestations, including the “god within”. Research in this field is claimed to have the potential to unlock, create, or reproduce this “god experience” in all human beings.

Merging the newest technologies with the oldest lies.... now there's a concept!

Two--
I was watching ABC7 pretty much all day long (switched back and forth between that and FOX5).

Last fall extortionist Hank Paulson and his cronies got us to fork over $700 billion by telling us we were facing the imposition of martial law if we didn't pony up the money.

Yesterday British PM Gordon Brown reiterated his claim that the governments of the world must take emergency coordinated action to avert the risk of what he now terms, “a damaging spiral of de-globalization".

http://www.thewest.com.au/aapstory.aspx?StoryName=544899

World at risk of de-globalisation: Brown
19th January 2009, 20:46 WST

“The world is at risk of a "damaging spiral" of de-globalisation if countries do not co-ordinate their responses to the worldwide economic downturn, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said.”

To counter this threat at home, Brown insists another bailout of the British financial system, totaling additional hundreds of billions, is needed.

“Authorities in Britain did not put a total price tag on the new measures announced, which came after a first package last October. But press reports suggested it was worth some STG200 billion ($A438.16 billion) overall.”

“Key among the new measures is an insurance scheme to protect banks from so-called toxic assets, announced less than four months after the government pledged STG37 billion ($A81.06 billion) to recapitalise Britain's ailing banks.”

The London Telegraph is reporting it this way…

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/columnists/iainmartin/4295219/Gordon-Brown-brings-Britain-to-the-edge-of-bankruptcy.html

Headline:

“Gordon Brown brings Britain to the edge of bankruptcy”

“Iain Martin says the Prime Minister hasn't 'saved the world' and now faces disgrace in the history books”

“The country stands on the precipice. We are at risk of utter humiliation, of London becoming a Reykjavik on Thames and Britain going under. Thanks to the arrogance, hubristic strutting and serial incompetence of the Government and a group of bankers, the possibility of national bankruptcy is not unrealistic.”

‘The (British) Government's bail-out of the banks in October with £37 billion of taxpayers' money was supposed to have "saved the world", according to the PM, but now it is clear that it has not even saved the banks. Our money kept the show on the road for only three months.”

I wonder how long the new round of bailouts will "keep the show on the road".

By the way, anyone know where all that money went?

Could we take a swipe at discussing the timing of the huge nat. gas find in Israel and Ezekiel 38-39? Joel Rosenberg has a few great posts on it on his website at http://flashtrafficblog.wordpress.com/

Just an idea. It makes me feel good to think about God revealing Himself right now.

It's interesting that you quote, "putting science in its rightful place"

Here in the UK I was told by a Christian schoolteacher that she was no longer able to teach Biblical truth as truth. Instead she has to prefix it as 'Christians believe ...'

She is however allowed to answer a child directly if they ever ask her what 'she' believes. It's good today as it was in days gone by to pray for opportunities to speak forth our Lord's word. :)

Actually Shem,

I was wrong. My kids were knights for Halloween. Not Batman. And the weather was so great last Halloween, we went trick-or-treating for blocks. So, yes, it was a Happy Halloween. My least favorite holiday, though, is Valentine's Day. It's not even two months away from Christmas, and then, boom, I have to find another present. Then my wife's birthday is in April, and then comes Mother's Day.

Yes, my two young children like to dress up and trick-or-treat, which is done only on Halloween. They would do it every day of the year if they could. And they wait for Santa on Christmas Eve and wait for the Easter Bunny on Easter. They love their birthdays. They like doing things that most children enjoy. I assure you, we are not Satan worshippers. It's too bad Shem that you live in a little tiny box.

I do not believe, Paul, Obama is planning Jihad. I am more alarmed by the almost new age tone of his inauguration speech. I am more alarmed that he could convince many that he is something above religion. This is much scarier than kids trick-or-treating on Halloween.

Maryanne,
I've been watching Rick Warren carefully now for the last number of years because he's such an important figure in the Evangelical world. Just some of my observations. He says Biblical things so it's impossible to completely blow him off as a heretic. He also comes up with things that seem completely contradictory.

For example. He admitted at the Davos Forum last year that he is part of the CFR. He said he had the world's "best-selling book". I think he did correct that later on and say the Bible was. He said that Jews, Christians and Muslims "faith communities" should work together for social justice.

This is the new social justice gospel where we are going to fix all the ills of the world, and the most important values are "working together" not bring the gospel to those who don't know Yeshua. I have a huge problem with this. He spoke at the Muslim Public Affairs Council recently, he signed the document ( along with many other Christian and Jewish leaders) called a common word, which is a document that says things like "in the name of Allah and his servant Mohamed".

Personally, I don't think believers have any business signing documents that call "Mohamed a Prophet or servant". Rick Warren set up Synagogue 3000 and if you read any of my posts on the Emergent Church and Mysticism you will see that Synagoge 3000 is designed to draw Jews into the Synagogue and by using the techniques which have "worked" in the Emerging church.

Personally, I'm not big on "marketing" faith. I believe we can share truth and God's Word which is powerful can move people to repentance, but I don't think using the techniques of 21st Century advertising builds true disciples. I don't see anywhere where Yeshua or His followers did this. On the contrary, they were not always popular and said things that got people angry at them because they didn't worry about "people pleasing".

Rick Warren says just enough things to sound like he's a real believer, but then he does things that make him look like he's part of the NWO and has a real agenda, so either he's incredibly naive, or he's incredibly sly.. I'll let God judge that but I just say what I see.

I do think he has brought a watered-down gospel which has dumbed down a lot of believers. Instead of digging into the Scriptures and studying the Word for themselves, they get there spiritual nourishment from his books which is a bit like going to McDonald's. The hamburgers might not be made with real ingredients even though they look like hamburgers. It's filled with empty calories, and you'll fill your stomach but not really be satisfied like you would if you eat are real piece of meat.

I also believe that Rick Warren has paved the way, by his dumbing down, for the Emerging Church. You have to first rip out the Scriptures before you can replace them with the kind of stuff coming out of the Emerging Church.

This appears to pave the way for what Alice Bailey talks about in her book which is nothing short of demonic infiltration into the churches with things like labyrinths, yoga etc.

When you know God's Word, it's impossible to get caught up in this, but the problem is today most people are not really being taught and experiences are replacing solid Biblical training. When I say experiences, I mean like the whole contemplative prayer movement and many of the things that come straight out of Eastern mysticism.

If you eat solid food, you will not be hungry for junk food.. Rick Warren has helped prepare the believers for a diet of junk food..paving the way for deception.

Barbara Marx Hubbard’s book “The Revelation: A message of Hope for the New Millennium. In this book is where she makes it clear that those that will not evolve and accept that they are “gods’ will need to be removed from this planet like cancer is removed from the body. That the followers of a God separate from themselves need to be sent to another “kindergarten plane” once they are removed the Earth then can evolve. Otherwise the faithful servants of God are in the way and must be cleansed off the earth.

This book was funded by Laurence s Rockefeller. In the acknowledgments page in her book it says:

Well, I lived for 23 years in South America and English is not my first language. But I tried my best to translate the interview of Javier Solana at Lavanguardia.es. (Of course with translation on line, but this is not enough to do a good job).

Solana: " We all have lost in Gaza " The high representative of Foreign Policy and Security of the EU hopes that the Palestinian president " does not work out very debilitated of the conflict with Israel because his institutional figure is fundamental "

We all have lost in Gaza ", Javier Solana tackles the journalistic attempt of naming winners - Turkey?, Iran?, the electoral aspirations of Barak and Livni? - and losers of this war of three weeks, in the interview in Barcelona, the night before last.(18th of January)

What has gained Israel?
This leaves bitterness, because of the human suffering.
When I remember the optimism and the hopes of middle of December... I believe that the wounds that it leaves, even inside the Arabic world , where we did not see for a long time two meetings of the Arabic League, will be late in recovering.

Will it be Europe, like always, who will pay for the destroyed infrastructures ?

We have a revenue per capita very high, but others also has to do it. The United States has to pay, Japan has to pay, the Arabic countries of high revenue have to pay, poor countries are not going to contribute!

Did not the Palestinian president Abbas work out very debilitated ?

Undoubtedly, like almost the whole world in this conflict, the Palestinian president works out debilitated. Almost nobody has worked out reinforced. The whole world has lost in Gaza.
Let's hope that he does not work out completely debilitated, because his institutional figure is fundamental. The National Palestine Authority must be the umbrella of the interPalestinian negotiation.

There are two key elections soon: the legislative ones of Israel (February) and the presidential ones of Iran (March).
Israel's election is the most important; always it fits the doubt that it has influenced this war. I believe that there would be necessary to normalize the relation in between Israel's elections and events. Her elections are always preceded by big unexpected events..
The elections of Iran will not suppose a radical change, but yes it will contribute interesting shades

Has Turkey improved with a constructive paper for the peace in Gaza, her credentials of entering in the EU?
Turkey already goes time playing this role, relevant , and with desire of having it. It was obvious during Georgia's war or in her advances with Armenia and, she is having it in Gaza. This reinforces whom believe that Turkey has to come closer to Europe.

Is Europe predisposed to accept the sacrifices in Afghanistan that President Obama will ask her, and soon?

It is not necessary to speak in terms of sacrifices. The important thing is that we sit down around the table to see what we can do together. On Afghanistan, yes, but also on Pakistan and her relation with India, one of the most serious problems that can arise to us in 2009. Pakistan is going to be a great puzzle for many. There are also three horizontal global problems: first: the energy and the environment - it is not trivial-, where we are going to find in Obama a great ally. One
very significant, spectacular appointment is that of the secretary of Energy: I know Steven Chu, a prize Nobel prize of Physics that has dedicated great part of his career
to fight for the renewable energies. Second : in 2010 we have to renew the agreement of No Proliferation of Nuclear Weapon. One forgets that we have a world still with very much armament and the risk that there could be new countries with nuclear weapons.
In order that it does not happen, USA and Russia must start taking important decisions.
Third: despite of the crisis, it is not necessary to forget the fight against poverty. Till 2025,
half of África will have less than 18 years.

Is EU predisposed to help to close Guantanamo?

In principle it would not be necessary to help anything. It is a problem of the one who has created it.
We will help in everything we could in order that it is closed, something that will make recover
certain confidence lost in The United States, but the responsibility of Guantanamo is not European, is American.

Is it beneficial that at the head of the Department of State there is such a strong figure?

Hillary Clinton's appointment is a brave decision. Obama could have said: I do not love around mi those who have been my adversaries in the electoral campaign or too strong personalities. And no, he integrates them and associates with them. It is a gesture of force and Obama's confidence, which allows him to surround himself with the best.
I know where Michelle Obama was born: if something was and still continues being a ghetto it is this neighborhood of Chicago, between a railroad and a highway. It gives me faith in the human beings to see how the two have been able of giving the best of themselves

You transmit optimism. What are your personal plans for 2009?

HI Joyce,

When I listened to Rick Warren's speech on Utube yesterday, after Gretchen provided the link, I was trying to be optimistic. I heard him say Isa and I wondered about it. At first I thought he'd said Esau but that didn't make sense. I was very glad that you pointed out to us who Isa was, and then it all made perfect sense. The all-inclusive Obama trying to be the man for all seasons again. Insidious in its cleverness, this whole plan for a one-world religion.

Re: Rick Warren:
As I said a couple times here, I knew just two chapters into his book that he was into some kind of liberal theology that I didn't like, and tossed the book away. I just never took the time to read about him in depth. I'll check out the herescope link so I can forward it to my church members,as they thought it was nice that Obama asked an evangelical preacher to be the speaker at the inauguration. I wanted to tell them the truth, but didn't have the background info. With all the info flying around it's hard to read everything. I do recall that your information on mysticism and the emerging church was during Christmas when I was away. I guess I need to go back and read that, too.

Sigh.

Dorothy sent me some very good information recently from a commentary on Israel forum regarding the foreboding circumstances surrounding the Obama rise to power. One thing mentioned was how an Obama could have only risen to power under a totally compliant media.

I didn't realize the cocky chick 'Mica' on Morning Joe (Joe Scarborough) was Zbigniew Brzezinski's daughter until I read this article below.

Watch this clip and notice the arrogance of a member of the liberal governing elite (Zbigniew Brzezinski) towards Joe. He accuses him of being 'stunningly superficial' in his knowledge of what went on during the Clinton administration's negotiations with Arafat. An eye-opening clip.

Daughter Mica was very early on in the campaign a notable Obamamot, and that entire channel (MSNBC) especially Keith Olbermann and Chris MAtthews are rabid liberals. Joe was one of the only guys that still seemed decent to me (as well as Pat Buchanan.)

Maryanne,
The more I thought about Obama chosing Rick W for the speech, I realized that he is trying to "reach out" to a segment of the people that rejected him. i.e. the Christians who are anti-abortion, anti-gay marriage...in the same way John McCain chose Sara Pallin as his running mate because he could not tap the conservative Christian vote.. this is a ploy to bring all the diverse sides together.

Rick Warren has been working with CFR in advance trying to break through the "Clash of Civilizations" with the alliance of faiths through the Tony Blair interfaith foundation. Rick's role must have been in the planning several years ago because Synagogue 3000 came out at least 2 or 3 years ago. Rick made his trip to Syria, trying to open doors to Muslim relations and complementing their country on how respectfully they treat Christians there ( choke).

He is the perfect person to "unify" America. As a Pastor, no one will have a problem with him praying for the new President. That's actually Biblical, but anyone could have prayed for Obama.. He chose someone that represents the same set of values as him.. bringing everyone together. Rick used the same tactics when he had both Obama and McCain speak at his church.

As for the your Brzezinski comments:
The Brzezinksi connection, along with the Soros connection have been troubling from the beginning. Didn't know about his daughter, but I knew his son or sons were involved in the campaign too if I remember correctly.

In any case, we know he was giving Obama advice on foreign policy so that's been my concern all along.

Since the National Cathedral was discussed in previous thread I thought the following notes would be of interest.

I listened to the National Day of Prayer Service for the President (Obamas, Bidens & Clintons sitting together). I took some notes on the message (given by a gray-haired woman pastor-don’t know who she was).
1. Based the message on old Cherokee wisdom (Two wolves live inside us. Which one wins? The one we feed.)
2. Referenced Obama’s “center” at least 6 times by my tally
3. Referenced our “better angels” at least twice
4. Muslim inititative “Common Word Between Us” twice
5. Referenced a previously quotation from Jesus from the book of Matthew then stated that is was confirmed by the Muslims.
6. Quoted Ghandi
7. Closed by affirming communitarian principles—it’s the biblical way-the American way.
8. We love God by loving our neighbors (stated twice) including global neighbors
9. She ended the message invoking God by lifting outstretched hands (not pointing upward). I wondered that she was indicating our “collected oneness”.
10. Service ended with 8 multi religious leaders stating a prayer-included Jewish and apparently Muslim representation (woman with headscarf).

Blessings--Terri

Five lessons in global diplomacy
By Javier Solana
Published: January 20 2009 19:24 | Last updated: January 20 2009 19:24
The US is not just another country and its president is not just another politician. Who he is, the choices
he makes, matter to billions of people around the globe.
There is no need to tell President Barack Obama that the world is messy and complicated or to list the
many things that need to be done. We hope that Mr Obama and his team have also noted the places that
have seen steady, sometimes dramatic, progress in recent years – China, Indonesia, Brazil and central
Europe to name a few.
Successes can look after themselves. It is the problems and failures that he and others will have to focus
on. In many cases, we understand the nature of the problem and even know what the solution looks like.
Sometimes – in the Middle East, for example – we have known for years. The real question is how to
implement it.
Of course, every country is different, every problem particular. But experience over the years (including
my own) suggests some key ingredients for tackling international problems.
First, the solution is always political. Civil wars, inter-state conflicts, problems with energy, climate change
or nuclear non-proliferation – all of these require political settlements that take account of the interests of
all involved.
Power is about more than just military or financial muscle; legitimacy is important too. Sometimes, it is the
most important element. There will be no solution in Palestine that does not take account of the rights of
the Palestinians, weak as they may appear.
Second, intervention must always serve a political strategy and take account of the fact that foreign policy
is all about the domestic politics of others. Domestic politics matter because they limit what is achievable
in negotiations (for example, over how much carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced or tariffs cut in
trade). This is never more the case than when the problem is a dispute over the control and legitimacy of
the state – take the Democratic Republic of Congo or Iraq.
In the Balkans and elsewhere, the aim of crisis management has been to create a space for politics to
work. But functioning politics is one thing that foreigners cannot provide; only the locals can do that.
Third, personalities and trust are essential. In a crisis, when institutions and order break down, a handful
of leaders become key. For them to risk their future on a settlement requires courage. The reason dealing
with Iran is so difficult is the lack of trust – on both sides. To establish at least enough trust to do business
together has been my first objective. Diplomatic breakthroughs only become possible when negotiators
are willing to take risks because of the trust they have built with each other.
Trust needs to be backed by tangible things: troops to police a ceasefire, trainers to build a police force,
monitors for elections or at the border, military guarantees and development assistance. The European
Union has ceasefire monitors in Georgia and is helping to build police or armed forces from the DRC to
Afghanistan, from Kosovo to Palestine. It has also monitored many elections.
Sending monitors may seem unimpressive. But the mere presence of outside observers changes
behaviour. As in physics, the act of observation modifies the behaviour of particles; though instead of
producing uncertainty, political observers re-establish confidence.
Fourth, no single country, even the US, can solve problems on its own. The North Korean nuclear issue is
inching forward in six-party talks that include China, Japan, South Korea and Russia. The EU has been
most successful when it has worked with others: with the UN in Lebanon; with the Association of South
East Asian Nations in Aceh/Indonesia; with the US everywhere.
The weakness of regional co-operation in the Middle East is both symptom and cause of the region’s
crisis-ridden politics. It is significant that the Arab states have written collectively to Mr Obama on the
Middle East peace process. As the EU, we echo their call to push for a settlement.
COMMENT
OPINION
In the Balkans, the EU and the US have worked consistently in partnership. So have Nato and the EU.
One of my first experiences as EU high representative was working with the Nato secretary-general in
Skopje on a constitutional settlement between Slav and Albanian communities. This is a reminder that
almost all problems are regional and the involvement of neighbours is essential.
But increasingly, diplomacy is about more than mobilising states. We need to find ways to harness the
expertise and resources of non-governmental organisations and companies and energise individuals
towards shared goals.
Fifth, the best time to deal with a problem is the moment it arises, before positions become entrenched –
ideally, before anyone has noticed there is a problem at all. But if that fails, you need to be ready to stick
at it for a long time. The EU can be slow but it is quite good at engaging for the long term.
Ultimately, the objective of diplomacy is to create agreed rules. Rules on political participation,
demarcation of borders or movements of military equipment. Rules to end conflicts within or between
states. Rules to help us address the big issues of our time: climate change, non-proliferation and a
sustainable and open global economy.
The accumulation of rules, procedures and institutions sounds like dreary work but it is what global
civilisation is built on. Agreed rules make states secure and people free.
The start of a US administration is a special moment. The US and Europe should use it to recommit
themselves to the task of building rules, trust and partnerships for our global world.

Hi Carolyn,

Thanks for link which I have yet to read. I was given a New Age paper which I cited in my second book in 1986 by Ernest Ramsey. It was titled AN EVOLUTIONARY BASIS FOR THE REAPPEARANCE OF THE CHRIST AND THE MASTERS OF WISDOM. The part that interested me the most was called "the Neo-Pentecostals" which I later learned translated into "Sonship" and "Manifest Son of God" (MSOG) movements. In that paper I learned that their equivalent of THE AGE OF AQUARIUS was "Year of Jubilee" and "Feast of Tabernacles." Thereafter I heard Pat Robertson call for an INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF JUBILEE many times as the "only way" to straighten out the world's financial mess. I figured if he had the nerve to say it, I had the nerve to quote him.

Sarkosy proposes, "Arabic is the language of the future."

"The French government and particularly it’s President seem to be strongly advocating the teaching of Arabic language and civilization in French schools. In 2006 the United States Department of State placed the Muslim population in France at roughly 10%. In accordance with a law dating from 1872, the French Republic does not ask about religion or ethnic origin in its census. In his message to the participants at the French National Assembly earlier this month, French President Nicolas Sarkozy called Arabic the 'language of the future, of science and of modernity,' and expressed the hope that 'more French people share in the language that expresses great civilizational and spiritual values.'"

From the New York Post . . .
January 21, 2009 (7:55 PM)

Caroline Kennedy tonight withdrew her name from consideration to replace Hillary Clinton in the U.S. Senate after learning that Gov. David Paterson wasn't going to choose her, The Post has learned.

Kennedy's decision removes the highest-profile name in the ring to step into Clinton's now-vacant seat, as she departs after getting confirmed today as President Obama's Secretary of State.

MORE: Caroline The 'Certain' Pick For Dave: Rivals

Sources said the reason Paterson had decided not to tap the daughter of John F. Kennedy was her poor performances in media interviews and in in private sessions with various officials.

Aides to Kennedy couldn't be reached for comment.

Paterson has said he is not yet sure who he will select, but plans to announce his pick by this weekend - and an announcement is expected either Friday or Saturday.

For the first time on Tuesday, shortly after Obama was inaugurated, Paterson acknowledged publicly that he is considering state Attorney General Andrew Cuomo for the slot.

Cuomo, who has soared in public polls over Kennedy in the past two weeks in popularity for the seat, has not said whether he's interested in the job, but has not tamped down speculation that he's making a play for it.

Kennedy's entrance into the bidding for Clinton's seat was intended to have the effect of clearing the field, and forcing other contenders to see her as the inevitable choice for the post once held by her uncle, Robert F. Kennedy.

Mayor Bloomberg privately backed her and publicly praised her abilities, and his top deputy, Kevin Sheekey, worked the phones aggressively on Kennedy's behalf, and set her up with powerhouse consulting firm Knickerbocker SKD.

But her rollout received stiff criticism, as she ducked press questions during her first trip upstate, fared poorly in her initial round of media interviews - and several critics said she had a lack of a clear rationale for her candidacy.

The decision to appoint Clinton's successor is solely Paterson's, and he has offered conflicting comments about where he is in the process over the past few days - suggesting almost simultaneously that he'd made up his mind, and then that he hadn't.

The surprise decision leaves a crowded field of about 15 people, mostly elected officials, vying to replace Clinton - including Long Island Rep. Steve Israel, Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi, upstate Rep. Kirsten Gillibrand, Rep. Carolyn Maloney and teachers union head Randi Weingarten.

Kennedy's brief foray into politics lasted just under a month, from the time she roiled New York politics shortly before Christmas to say she was interested in being picked for the seat to today.

Kennedy, who attended Obama's inauguration on Tuesday, campaigned aggressively for the new president - and infuriated Clinton loyalists by dissing her during the primary races - and her relationship with him was often cited by her boosters as a value add if she had been picked.

Several sources said Obama was pulling for Kennedy as the pick, and Kennedy herself said the president had been "encouraging" about her making a play for it.

Clinton, meanwhile, was confirmed by the Senate today almost unanimously, in a vote of 94-2.

From the Drudge Report . . .

OBAMA RE-SWORN IN

At 7:35 PM, Roberts administered the oath of office again to Obama in the map room.

Robert Gibbs said the WH counsel, Greg Craig, believes the oath was fine Tuesday, but one word was out of sequence so they did this out of a "an abundance of caution."

"We decided it was so much fun..." Obama joked while sitting on a couch. Obama stood and walked over to make small talk with Pool as Roberts donned his black robe.

"Are you ready to take the oath?" Roberts asked. "I am, and we're going to do it very slowly," Obama replied. Oath took 25 seconds.

After a flawless recitation, Roberts smiled and said, "Congratulations, again."

Obama said, "Thank you, sir."

Smattering of applause. "All right." Obama said. "The bad news for the Pool is there's 12 more balls."

Obama made 3 important Executive Orders today:

1. Tighter ethics rules for lobbyists.
2. Pay freeze for White House staffers earning more than $100,000 per year.
3. Guantanamo prosecutions put on hold for 120 days with review of detention policies.

Frankly, all were needed reforms!

As it is, I read, write, and SPEAK a little Arabic which is very similar to Hebrew as a Semitic language. But if you are speaking to me, "Schwayee, Schwayee, min fudluk" -- "Slowly, slowly, please!

ONE ONENESS ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT ONE WORLD ORDER WE ARE ONE OBAMA

"We are one" is an interesting title for the concert to welcome the new president, but more interesting was the inclusion of a gay bishop's prayer.

http://tinyurl.com/8l8mtw

Let's look at the word "one"

http://tinyurl.com/bvru7e

http://tinyurl.com/cwc6rv

I'm voting for "that one"

http://tinyurl.com/bgb657

One Obama pick miffs gays:

http://tinyurl.com/cd5vbg

Can One Obama change everything:

http://tinyurl.com/bfpvbr

One Obama won't fix our broken security culture:

http://tinyurl.com/acudz5

The ONE organization who will fight global poverty by bringing everyone together:

Now look at ONE's campaign called "One Sabbath"

http://www.one.org/onesabbath/

Look at the partners:

http://www.one.org/onesabbath/

Share International is part of this...

And so is Rick Warren, hmmmm.

http://tinyurl.com/byhq6r

Now Bono, who sang at the concert and is the co-founder of ONE, was also listed as a "World Server'. Those who know Alice Bailey's writings are familiar with the terminology:

http://www.ngws.org/

and of course we saw Berit Kjos article about Obama training world servers:

http://www.crossroad.to/articles2/08/1-service.htm

http://tinyurl.com/azd4vc

So my question to all of us is, what kind of "oneness" is Obama going to be promoting?

He talked about it in Berlin:

http://tinyurl.com/cpxdeo

Kissinger seemed to think he can make one too:

http://tinyurl.com/bhdy59
Marianne Williamson, is also talking about oneness:

http://il.youtube.com/watch?v=4RgzpL0Bugc

Louis Farrakan says Obama draws "oneness of spirit" but he's in the Nation of Islam.

http://tinyurl.com/a9lums

And last but not least Rabbi Hisrchfield writes about Rick Warren's prayer...and Oneness..

If you remember Rick's prayer, he started it with
"Hear O Israel, the Lord thy God is One, the Lord is God" commonly referred to as the shema. This is the prayer that talks about the composite unity of God, but Rick in talking about Jesus and invoking His name in other languages and then invoking the name Isa, which is not really His name in Arabic as I explained earlier did something very subtile that most people did not pick up on.. He was creating a "oneness" along with Obama that is utterly unbiblical. This is the not the oneness that says we serve an exclusive and Holy God and all must come to Him through Yeshua.

This is oneness that says because we are all humans we come through which ever door we like.. the door of the Christians, the door the Jews, the door of the Muslims, the homosexuals... it doesn't matter...

Well, as it has been suggested by "ONE News now" Obama can join the National Cathedral which doesn't subscribe to any particular faith, that way he can be non-committal and very pleasing to all:

http://tinyurl.com/blvvyp

.....well almost all.

Well I just want to say one thing.. in the days ahead it really will matter. that we understand the subtlety which Satan will use to suck people in through emotion about world poverty, Aids, global warming etc. The mantra will be that we have to unite to save the planet, but most if not all of us in this blog know we cannot be saved with the finished work of Yeshua on the cross.

Under the guise of compassion and saving the world from chaos, we are being told in so many ways the message to unite, to be one.....

I'm not saying we should not have compassion, but we need to have wisdom and if we don't go along with this agenda, the Rick Warren, Bono, Obama, Karen Armstrong type of agenda we will be persecuted... It's important that we are very clear about the Scriptures and very clear where we stand.

There is only ONE DOOR, and that is Yeshua.. He is the truth, the light and the way and no one comes to the Father except by Him.. All the "shepherds' that say otherwise and thieves and robber than come to steal and destroy.

Satan is cunning, and he is the father of lies.. He will tug at people's hearts to get them them to serve him, and those of us who don't will be accused of all kinds of evil. Alice Bailey outlined it pretty clearly in her book.

A much delayed answer to Rudi's post of several days ago...yes, the hierarchy is being externalized..before our very eyes. In the Bible this is referred to as the time of the apostasy and we must be very clear about who we are following and not mix with crowd just to be accepted. It's going to get more difficult to discern because some will be doing things in the name of "Jesus" but then we must discern if it is the same "Jesus" or Yeshua that is written about in the Bible.

Sorry about this lengthy post, but watching this election and the grand finale, has been very, very interesting and I just wanted to put some of what I'm seeing together. I know some of it is redundant but it's interesting to see see it compiled.

Beware!!!! If a preacher always gives a peaceful message, he is up to something. There is a time for a message of peace, hope, love, and forgiveness. Remember, there is also a time for a message of judgment and wrath. Jesus Christ said, "think not that I am come to send peace on earth:I came not to send peace, but a sword."(Matt 10:34) Read Matthew chapter 23 also. Beware a preacher who will not preach the truth.

The "We Are One" does have a distinct Lucis Trust type ring to it in my opinion. In the "New Age" per Alice Bailey, the "only sin was to be the sin of separation."

As regards those who think he is their "Maitreya" as of right now, I am inclined to doubt it. For one thing, the prophecy was that whoever it was WOULD NOT BE GIVEN THE HONOR OF THE KINGDOM . . . but would 'come in peaceably, with the aid of a few and obtain the kingdom by flatteries . . ."

CLEARLY, Barack Obama HAS been given THE HONOR OF THE KINGDOM . . . Big Time!

Now, it further appears to me that he may have been handed a bankrupted kingdom . . . and GLOBAL GOVERNANCE is the goal of the European (won't name names, but initials are 'Javier Solana') forces who now are telling Barack how to run things - hand all over to a "global governance" authority.

regards the reswearing in, I'm not as excited about it as the rest of you. The Chief Justice Roberts stumbled in its delivery and it was a noticeable hiccup. I don't think he's the antimessiah, but I do think this is a good warmup for people to blindly follow someone.. As I've said before, being conservative in nature, I will not try to identify the antimessiah until a few more pieces of prophecy come to pass..

Obama's well positioned, so that if all his plans don't bring the economy around or stop the wars and the terrorism he can't point the finger at Bush. On Larry King, there was talk about some actions being taken against the Bush administration. I noticed that Bush looked pretty uneasy at the swearing in ceremony.

Not saying they'll try Bush for the war in Iraq, but he is sufficiently discredited along with Cheney, Rove etc, to point the finger at them if Obama doesn't produce miracles the first term.

Supposedly Obama's popularity is at 80%, but not sure I trust the opinion polls since they are controlled by the same media that paved the way for this presidency.

One thing is for sure. Even if they found out that Barack Obama was born in Kenya or was a citizen of Indonesia, it's too late.. There would be riots in the streets of America if anyone questioned his Presidency. I would still love to see Philip Berg continue with his quest to discover the truth.

I also heard someone on Larry King say that Biden made a remark about the swearing in mistake and Obama threw a look as cold as ice..

Also heard Nancy Pelosi say she would not question any of his decisions because she trusts him implicitly...so much for checks and balances..

From Yahoo News (01/22/09):

WASHINGTON (AFP) – US President Barack Obama on Thursday said he backed a woman's "right to choose" on the 36th anniversary of a landmark Supreme Court decision that women have a constitutional right to abortion.

"On the 36th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, we are reminded that this decision not only protects women's health and reproductive freedom, but stands for a broader principle: that government should not intrude on our most private family matters," Obama said in a written statement.

"I remain committed to protecting a woman's right to choose."

In the landmark Roe v Wade decision in 1973, the Supreme Court ruled that most federal and state laws against abortion in the United States infringed on a right to privacy enshrined in the US Constitution.

The decision shaped a generation of social policy in America, and remains a cultural fault line of US politics.

From Newsmax (01/22/09):

Pope Benedict XVI has communicated with Barack Obama twice since the Democrat won the White House — but the first message almost never got through.

The Pope telephoned Obama shortly after Election Day to congratulate him on his electoral success, but the Obama staffer receiving the call didn’t believe it was actually the Pontiff on the line and wouldn’t put the call through.

Benedict was eventually able to get through, however, and he and the president-elect had a “cordial” conversation mainly about cultural issues, according to a Bush administration source with close ties to the Vatican.

When the Pope brought up the subject of abortion, Obama said simply: “We agree to disagree.”

But the source said that Obama did agree with the Pope on the controversial issue of same-sex marriage, saying the two shared a common view that marriage should be only between a man and a woman.

Benedict again contacted Obama by sending him a telegram on Tuesday shortly before the presidential inauguration.

“I offer cordial good wishes, together with the assurance of my prayers that Almighty God will grant you unfailing wisdom and strength in the exercise of your high responsibilities,” the Pope stated in the telegram.

“Under your leadership, may the American people continue to find in their impressive religious and political heritage the spiritual values and ethical principles needed to cooperate in the building of a truly just and free society.”

Such a society, the Pope said, must be “marked by respect for the dignity, equality and rights of each of its members, especially the poor, the outcast and those who have no voice.”

Constance Cumbey said...

Interesting, the papal message and
Barack Obama exchange. "We agree to disagree" on abortion -- discouraging. That he believes marriage should be between a man and a woman -- encouraging. Amusing that the Pope was unable to get through on his first try. Reminds me of when Obama called a Congresswoman and she hung up on him because she thought it was a gag call from somebody else.

From the Washington Post (1/23/09):

Abortion Foes Recall Lincoln's Slavery Stand -- Crowd Asks Obama to Honor 'Humanity'

The inauguration of a president who supports abortion rights fired up the annual March for Life yesterday, with activists warning of new, more liberal legislation and urging President Obama to view abortion as a civil-rights issue akin to slavery.

Signs read: "Yes we can -- eliminate abortion." One speaker took the microphone and called for anti-abortion "community organizers," a job the president held in Chicago. Another taunted Obama with references to one of his heroes.

Looking east at the thousands of marchers gathered from Fourth to Seventh streets on the Mall, Rep. Trent Franks (R-Ariz.) said Obama needed to be reminded "that the reason we built that monument to president Abraham Lincoln is because he saw the humanity in a slave that the Supreme Court said was not human." Nothing could make Obama less like Lincoln than "forgetting that the unborn are also little children of God," he added.

Police provided no estimate for the size of the crowd gathered on the 36th anniversary of the Supreme Court ruling Roe v. Wade. But anti-abortion leaders said they sensed a new intensity because of Obama and the new, more heavily Democratic Congress.

Deirdre McQuade, spokeswoman for Pro-Life Activities at the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, said turnout at the annual Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Northeast on Wednesday night filled the basilica's 16,000-person capacity and spill into two overflow buildings. A morning youth concert and Mass yesterday at Verizon Center also filled up -- there were 20,000-plus seats -- and crowds were sent to nearby churches.

"We are concerned that given the momentum pro-choice members [of Congress] may feel having a pro-abortion president, something as extreme as the Freedom of Choice Act could be proposed again," said McQuade, citing a measure that would codify a woman's right under Roe v. Wade to terminate her pregnancy and would forbid any interference with that right. Democratic leaders say the bill does not have enough support even to clear legislative committees.

Newly minted Secretary of State Hillary Clinton received a boisterous and enthusiastic welcome at the State Department for her first day on the job.

She spoke of the hard work going forward, but praised the career diplomats as the best there are.

"This is not going to be easy... it's going to be hard," Clinton told the State Department staff packed into the building. "But if it weren't hard, somebody else could do it, besides the professionals of the Foreign Service and the Civil Service and our Diplomatic and Development Corps."

She also spoke of her own hopefulness for renewed, robust diplomacy in the Obama administration.

"There are three legs to the stool of American foreign policy: defense, diplomacy, and development," Clinton said. "And we are responsible for two of the three legs. And we will make clear, as we go forward, that diplomacy and development are essential tools in achieving the long-term objectives of the United States. And I will do all that I can, working with you, to make it abundantly clear that robust diplomacy and effective development are the best long-term tools for securing America's future."

"promote gender equality and empower women" (MDG #3) to boot! And at the same time eliminate the excess babies in the process.
All are included in the Millenium Development Goals which are targeted to be achieved by 2015.
Goal #1 is to "Eradicate Extreme Poverty & Hunger" The "TARGET" is to, "Halve the PROPORTION OF PEOPLE (emphasis mine, "proportion" is another word for "number" of people.) whose income is less than $1 a day"
Abortion is another tool for lowering the "proportion of people". Another way of "helping" meet the goal of eliminating poverty. Less poor people, more jobs to go around. Less mouths to feed, and more money to do it.
Here is the just released UN Millennium Development Goals Progress Report 2008. -Rudi

To Anonymous (1:14 PM):

A word of caution in reading Frank Viola's book, "Pagan Christianity."

Frank Viola is strongly suspected to be a New Ager - as he advocates
that we be led by "the light that is within you."

Rudi, thanks for pointing out that the Obama administration will now spend more of America’s future killing more unborn babies; this was expected, but those Christians voting for Obama need to understand that their vote made that more possible; no wonder Jesus will have to dry the tears in our eyes!

My legal guess about why they required the re-swearing in was right on the money. Here from the American Litigator is an account from the White House attorney who recommended redoing the swearing in. I received it by email in attorney trade publications:

Litigator of the Week
Gregory Craig, White House Counsel
We could see the lawsuit coming as soon as we watched Chief Justice John Roberts botch his lines in administering the oath of office to President Barack Obama on Tuesday afternoon. Remembering the many (ridiculous) challenges we saw to the citizenship of Obama and Senator John McCain during the presidential campaign, we envisioned a highly motivated and slightly delusional plaintiff questioning the legitimacy of Obama's presidency based on an imperfect recitation of the presidential oath.

Thanks to the thoroughness (and, no doubt, campaign experience) of our Litigator of the Week, we assume the country will be spared the nonsense. White House counsel Gregory Craig, a former Williams & Connolly partner, was among the aides who suggested to President Obama that he retake the oath on his first day in office. "We believe the oath of office was administered effectively and that the president was sworn in appropriately [on Tuesday]," said Craig, according to The New York Times. "But the oath appears in the Constitution itself, and out of an abundance of caution, because there was one word out of sequence, Chief Justice Roberts administered the oath a second time."

Constance and all,
So if it was an overabundance of caution,
then why did they carelessly toss out the
hand on the Bible part ?
That doesn't add up, to me.
