Jumping over Ratification? Javier Solana is testing the waters!

The Lisbon Treaty, when ratified, will give Javier Solana most, if not all, of the powerful Foreign Minister powers he was to have received under the 2005 Holland/France rejected European Constitution. As things presently stand, only Irish citizens can look forward to having their democratic say about it. Breaking news from Telegraph.Co.UK, a leading British newspaper, is that Javier Solana is not waiting to put those powers, which include the establishment of his own diplomatic corps in effect. The Telegraph has been conducting a campaign to give British citizens a referendum on these expanded European Union powers over their lives.

It now appears that Dr. Solana and company are not waiting for treaty ratification to put their new anticipated powers into effect. He has appointed a European Union Ambassador to Africa. The newly named ambassador is Belgium's Koen Vervaeke. He will, per The Telegraph, represent both the Commission of the European Union and its 27 member nations.

Per The Telegraph:

The position is part of a diplomatic corps created under the treaty signed by Gordon Brown in Lisbon last week amid claims by Eurosceptics of a betrayal of Britain's national interests. Brussels chiefs have pressed ahead with Mr. Vervaeke's appointment before any countries have begun ratifying the treaty, which is scheduled to come into effect in 2009.

The Telegraph states the obvious. This is obviously a ploy to "test the waters."

Dr Charles Tannock, a Conservative Euro-MP and the party's foreign affairs spokesman at the European Parliament, said: "By appointing this man to Africa they are obviously testing the waters. This is the way things will work in the future. But until the treaty is ratified they have no mandate to set up anything like an EU diplomatic corps."

And what about the "chain of command" for the good Belgian ambassador? Quoting again from the important Telegraph article:

Under the treaty, there will be a powerful EU foreign minister, or "high representative", who will also service member states and the commission, deriving his power from what Brussels officials call a "double hat" arrangement. . . . Javier Solana, the Spaniard who heads the EU's fledgling foreign office, is tipped for the job, which will involve taking on more than 100 existing commission delegations around the world and turning them into a corps of diplomats.

Stay tuned!

No doubt, some of the EU heads are now beginning to understand their earlier reported "nervousness." If Dr. Solana is not "called on the carpet," so to speak, without delay, he likely never will be (at least not by humanoids).

May the Lord have mercy.

"Europe's Soft Power in a Changing World - A speech by Olli Rehn, European Commissioner for Enlargement"

Released today, this speech presents in my opinion, a good summary of the information Constance is sharing with us, in regard to The Reform Treaty, it's relationship to the "European Common Foreign and Security Policy", and Javier Solana. The first six sentences of the speech, set the intended tone for interpreting the context of the body of the speech. Rudi

"Dear Colleagues,
Let me start by looking to the past, before turning to the future. It is worth taking stock of just how far we have come in the past two decades.

It is only 15 years ago, in 1992, that the European Common Foreign and Security Policy was born with the Maastricht Treaty. Before then, the European Union remained primarily an economic player on the world stage.

It took another 7 years until Javier Solana was appointed the first EU "High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy" in 1999.

The years in between showed how profoundly the EU needed the leadership that Javier Solana has brought on foreign policy, and the operational capabilities that have since developed..."

I just checked out Johnny's blog and was surprised to see he's got the identical article put up as I've posted here. The Lord's got us on the same page today again.

Hi Rudi,

Right on!

We're definitely on the same page again. Glad to know the alerts are going out.

I had posted last night a new article based on Walvoords 74' "Armageddon, Oil and The Middle East Crisis" book, specifically on his thoughts on what we would be seeing in the first 3 1/2 years of Daniels 70th Week which Walvoord calls "The Brief Period Of Preparation", and when I saw Ollie Rehn's speech it correlated to a section of my article where I comment on an upcoming book to be published through the UN University Press called "Globalisation and Diplomacy".

Anyway, today was another intensifying news day and I'm glad everyone here is catching it.

Constance you have a fantastic and resourceful sight here, great job guys and gals.

I heard a commercial on Fox News this evening which was singing happy birthday to Jesus. The words themselves didn't sound bad, but somehow I knew there was something deeply wrong about this commercial. I went to the web site and listened. He is not singing to Jesus Christ as we know Him, he was singing to a different christ.

This is a very powerful deception. He is promoting Maitreya.

Rich- Did you happen to watch the TBN video interview with Nassiri and Clifton Davis? (right hand column at Nassiri website)Clifton Davis introduces Nassiri as a born again Christian. After presenting the "Happy Birthday Jesus" video Nassiri is invited to share some of the story of the "interesting trek" which led him to find Christ.
He discribes being born in Iran as a Muslim. He became a successful, very wealthy man after coming to the US. He went on to study all the world religions, searching for his purpose in life. One morning,at his lowest point, while looking at the sun, he had what he calls, "a transformation".He says he knew he had to be in silence, so he went to the mountains for several weeks. He came down from the mountain where he met his guru who he says was a born again Christian. The 'born again christian guru' explains, Nassiri has had a transformation and had been born again, shows him in scripture about the transformation which has taken place, takes him to a church where he is baptized. Now he spends his money traveling the world for peace primarily through his music and film "Love Sees No Color"
Another website had this additional information:

"Nassiri has traveled around the world to deliver that message, meeting with world leaders like Pope Benedict XVI, Nelson Mandela in South Africa and Shimon Peres when he visited Israel. A Muslim-turned-Catholic who has studied many of the major philosophies and religions, including Judaism, the Kabalah, Buddhism, Hinduism and Confucianism under the world's major gurus and masters, Nassiri is a believer that "all the religions of the world take you to the same place ... a single union with God." While in Jerusalem, he prayed at the Wailing Wall on the day after Rosh Hashana, a mosque to usher in the holy month of Ramadan and at the Stations of the Cross"

I guess one has to be very cautious about believing someone just because they say they are a Christian. Nassiri has the lingo as he proclaims to have made Jesus Christ his personal savior and believes in the power of the holy spirit. I didn't find the TBN interview that revealing until the end where he advocates for world peace (and he speaks of the born again guru). The video love sees no color tells it all. Needless to say Nassiri has the ability to lead many astray. He mixes truth with new age jargon and TBN promotes him.

Rich, thanks for posting Nassiri's con.
Rudi, good expounding on the TBN interview, I noticed he never mentioned his repentance of sins or receiving Jesus Christ as his own personal Savior.

What exactly does born-again mean to the NA group? Transformation??

Hmmm lets see what the Bible says.

John 3:7
"Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be BORN AGAIN.

2 Cor. 11:14,15
"And no marvel; for Satan himself is TRANSFORMED into an angel of light. Therefore [it is] no great thing if his ministers also be TRANSFORMED as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."

And Sorry! The word "guru" doesn't occur in the KJV.

I thought the way he BOWED at the end was revealing. ~ Shalom

shalom- Excellent scripture! I fell asleep last night thinking about the interview and reflected on how the cross was dodged at every turn. Also avoided was any mention about there being but ONE WAY to the Father. Rudi

Nassiri's god is not the Triune God of the Bible. His god is

the Father
The Christ and
the Holy Spirit

He does not that Jesus Christ IS the Son of God. He says that Jesus shows us the way BACK to God. That means he believes that Jesus is the Wayshower, someone who had the christ, but is not the Christ.

Correction:

He does not say that Jesus Christ IS the Son of God.

“Sanctify them by thy truth, thy word is truth. . . Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? Who hath gathered the wind in his fist? Who hath bound the waters in a garment? Who hath established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell? And to make all men see the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ. . .And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby. . . for through him (JESUS) we both have access by one Spirit (HOLY SPIRIT) unto the Father (GOD THE FATHER). . .He that hath the Son, hath the Father also.”

Rich: You must have a very powerful antenna, because I looked and listened to Mr.Nassiri, and didn't detect any trace of Maitreya. You sure it's not that Wisconsin water? Your site is terrific, by the way. Thanks.
