Pope Excommunicates Zambian Archbishop

THE POPE HAS EXCOMMUNICATED AN ARCHBISHOP FOR COMPROMISE WITH THE MOONIES – TIME FOR EVANGELICALS TO GO AND DO LIKEWISE?

I’ve had some interesting/disturbing experiences with the Moonies and their leadership over the years. I’ve also had some interesting/disturbing discussions with various Evangelical leaders about same. Rev. Moon not-so-modestly calls himself “The Lord of the Second Advent.” He claims Jesus failed in his assigned mission to marry and have children, but he, Rev. Moon, rectified that for the human race by having 12 “perfect children.” Some babysitters reportedly described them instead as “perfect brats.” One son was killed in an automobile accident. Rev. Moon caused lots of embarrassment by the various Evangelical leaders who had apostatized to his camp once the money became attractive enough, when he decided an African man with psychopathic tendencies was his dead Korean son -- "Lord" Heung Jin Nim, back from the dead. Dutiful followers had to take many severe beatings from this man, including his USA interpreter and Washington Times head, Bo Hi Pak.

Well, a few years ago, an African Roman Catholic archbishop succumbed to Rev. Moon’s heresies. He took a Korean acupuncturist wife in one of Rev. Moon’s mass marriage ceremonies. He left the marriage – for a time – under Vatican pressures to maintain both proper Christology and celibacy.

Reported Evangelical and/or Conservative Catholic leaders succumbing at times to Moon’s financial, if not spiritual temptations, included Jerry Falwell, Richard Viguerie (also reportedly in Edgar Cayce New Age circles), Ron Godwin, Robert Grant, Tim LaHaye, Don Sills (who further compromised with the Scientologists as well as Moonies) and even Hal Lindsey had his moments of flirtation. Falwell’s embraces of Rev. Moon were particularly noxious to the Christian community.

Well, there has been a lot of popular and sometimes even Christian press screaming at Pope Benedict XVI (the former Cardinal Ratzinger) this week. However, today, he did something Evangelicals could well emulate. He cleaned house of the Zambian Rev. Moon defector, excommunicating Zambian Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo.[1]

I had an argument with a popular Evangelical leader in 1986, the name of which would greatly surprise you. He told me it was ok to take Unification Church money to help build God’s kingdom. The rationale was that “the devil has had the money long enough.” I told him and stand by same that “God does not need 25 cents of Rev. Moon’s money to build his kingdom.

Too many churches in the evangelical and fundamentalist worlds have taken too much Unification Church money at a cost of rewriting their theologies and tearing down their crosses. It is not building God’s kingdom to accept largesse from the Rev. Moon camp. It is tearing down of same. It is time to repent of the Unification Church compromise and apostasy. In December, 1983, a Unification Church organization official, Joseph Tully, admitted to me, “yes, we work with Benjamin Crème and Tara Center [I had not mentioned Tara Center to him], but we don’t all agree on who that new Christ is.”

Whatever Rev. Moon has given you, even if it saved a mortgage on your Christian School or financed new church buses, it isn’t worth your members’ souls. It is time to purge this bit of un-Christian leaven from our midst.

Sorry to be away this long, but I’m completely redoing my CD in continuous video form with voice-over and film clips. As soon as it’s done, you’ll see me as I look now. That has occupied my time, but if you view Herb Peters’ site (or watch the news) you know that things are happening FAST, the “Alliance of Civilizations” and “Clinton Global Initiative” are rapidly advancing their anti-fundamentalist agendas, and war continues in the Middle East. As friend Herb Peters says, definitely stay tuned!

Oh ho...it's banned books week and here is the ALA list of the hottest banned books. It looks so non-hurtful.

I was checking out one of Norma Klein's books, Tomboy, when I came across this essay on whether there should be censorship in libraries. The Appendix, page 6 to 10 lists books that were challenged in the US and Canada and why they were challenged by parents. These books were in the libraries and were meant for children as young as 9.

Before readers pick up the idea that censorship in libraries is about Huckleberry Finn, they should check out this website which is an analysis by a librarian of the censorship discussion. http://tinyurl.com/ewg4l

This may be off topic, but did anyone see that dance show "Dancing with the (Has bins)stars" on Wednesday night? I think it was on ABC. The first dance was with the real dancers. They danced while fire was flickering on screens behind them as if they were in Hell. The men wore black pants and dark burgundy shirts. The women wore black flowing dresses cut deep. My first impression was that it looked very satanic and witchy. The music was eerie also. It was as if they were dancing for the devil.

Seems to me we are being conditioned by the media to accept what Satan has planned, coming soon. How many people don't see the evil intent. They will not see what we do because they've been blinded to it all.

Notice also the show "Deal or No Deal" where people get so excited by what is basically free money, seemingly provided by beautiful women holding empty cases with only a sign showing the dollar amount.

My first thoughts about that show were that they're trying to find out what people's limits are to evil temptation and how far they are willing to go for worldly riches.

I admit the show is interesting. Of course they have to have the women holding suitcases where they peek inside for a prize, kind of like peeking into one's soul to find out what their true priorities are.

I can see how satan is working through the media in a shockingly big way with so much violence and sex on the tube these days. Virgins are being tempted to lose it by super models (Tyra Banks) on a program on the CW network. It's all waxing worse and worse.

In "The Fatima Crusader" publication, Issue No 54, Winter 1997, it has a front page picture of Archbishop Milingo greeting pope John Paul II. The heading underneath says "POPE JOHN PAUL II IS IN DANGER". It goes on to say "Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo, pictured above, works in the Vatican as Special Delegate to The Pontifical Council for the Pastoral Care of Immigrants and Itinerants. His Excellency electrified his audience at Fatima2000:"World Peace and the Immaculate Heart of Mary", when he announced that Satanism had infiltrated the Vatican. His statements are very similar to the recent book written by well respected Catholic author, Dr. Malachi Martin. And that's not all, Pope Paul VI warned:"THE SMOKE OF SATAN HAS ENTERED THE CHURCH"."
Inside the 16-page publication is the full speech by Archbisop Milingo.
No doubt he has appeared elsewhere in print but I have only this one.

The book was Windswept House by Father Malachi Martin, now deceased. A very, very interesting book.

These are comments made by the general public after a short story about "banned books." The individuals have been conditioned by years of ALA propaganda that "censorship is bad." They have no idea why parents have challenged many books in the children's section or how much power the ALA has where taxpayer supported libraries are concerned. See my earlier note and check out the Appendix in the librarian's report. Three times I've tried to post that link and three times I was banned by the individual who censors the comments.

From Carrie Tomko's blog. More about the excommunicated archbishop. It is the story of an individual who made many wrong turns on the spiritual road. Probably a good example of the slippery slope that pulls many into New Age practices.

European Evangelicals to Launch Religious Intolerance, Discrimination Platform

http://world.christianpost.com/article.htm?aid=24274&dat=20060905

“The European Evangelical Alliance, Christian Solidarity Worldwide, and Open Doors are joining forces to launch the European Platform on Religious Intolerance and Discrimination.”

“Several religious groups including Catholics, Orthodox, Evangelicals, Jewish, Muslim and other organizations in Brussels, Belgium, were sent a letter of invitation to become a member of EPRID on Saturday. The Platform will be officially launched during a reception at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France on Sept. 26. “

“The organizers hope that the new platform will help raise the issue of Religious Intolerance and Discrimination higher on the agenda of European institutions. “

More on the Pope from the United Nations
http://tinyurl.com/puqhd

Some quotes of interest on this web site:

“Mr. Diene said there were three reasons that he found the statement of Pope Benedict XVI to be profoundly troubling. First, if the issue of violence and faith was a legitimate challenge for all religions to be raised, the most credible approach should be for each religion to start with an internal reflection and introspection on this issue, both at the theological and historical levels. Second, the intended scholarly approach of Pope Benedict XVI should have been based on the basic standard of scholarship: presenting and quoting the two sides of this historic debate between the Byzantine Emperor Manuel II Paleologus and a Persian Muslim scholar. Third, in the current ideological context of amalgamation of Islam and terrorism, already illustrated by the Danish cartoon controversy, singling out a view and image associating only one religion with violence was bound to nourish and give legitimacy to this amalgamation which was the most profound source of Islamophobia. All religious leaders and Governments should take measures to prevent the use of violence in response to this statement and to encourage the promotion of the debate, with fairness and balance, on the issue of violence and faith in all encounters on inter-religious dialogue. “

Also…

“BLAISE GODET (Switzerland) said the freedom to have or not to have a religion or to adopt or change a religion, as well as the freedom to manifest a belief or religion individually or collectively, all these and others were enshrined in the Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, but they should not be used to threaten religious harmony, nor to denigrate other religions. The encouragement to Governments to conduct inter-Governmental dialogues on religious intolerance was noted, but the dialogue was not always successful, and did not always eliminate prejudice. There should be a further study between the links between religious freedom, the respect of religious beliefs and harmony in societies. “

Constance Cumbey said...

Re Lindsey and Tim LaHaye:

Lindsey went back and forth on the issue, mostly under the influence of his friend, Don Sills. Tim LaHaye's was much more blatant and you will find plenty on line for yourself if you google same. I have no idea where both stand on this now, hopefully they have long since repented, but I have heard no public denunciations.

Over in the comments section over at Yahoo where the posters were ranting at Christians and conservatives, every once in a while a sane voice appeared. One lady, a writer, wrote that while she disagreed in principle with banning books, she felt that there should be some kind of rating system.

She wrote:
"The book is Alice on her way by Phyllis Reynolds and the graphic sexual content has more than a few parents across the country concerned for it's placement in the required course material for high school kids.
Here is a link where you can read an excerpt of this book.

If you have a strong stomach and agree with the guidelines, you might find the contents of some of the books used in schools as excerpted on this website very informative.

Bush Administration Advances on Path of Creating North American Union
http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=17142

The opening paragraph in this article is:

“In the face of mounting public awareness and criticism, the Bush Administration is launching an offensive to claim that those arguing issues of NAFTA Super-Highways, a North American Union, or a new currency called the “Amero” are largely Internet conspiracy theorists whose claims should be dismissed as imaginary….”

There is a very interesting paragraph in the March 2006 National Security Strategy of the United States on page 10 that reads as such:

“Sub-cultures of conspiracy and misinformation. Terrorists recruit more effectively from populations whose information about the world is contaminated by falsehoods and corrupted by conspiracy theories. The distortions keep alive grievances and filter out facts that would challenge popular prejudices and self-serving propaganda.”

Would this be us?

"The Strasburg-based court addressed the issue on appeal from a Christian family whose members alleged their human rights to educate their own children according to their own religious beliefs are being violated by the ban." (more at link)

Over 20 years ago I read a piece that said that people who protest too much are considered mentally ill as they do not attempt to fit into society. The writer may have been right. Those of us who think for ourselves and act on it run into so much trouble in the offline world.

Sometimes it is frustrating to look at just how blind the Christian church has become. Maybe if the church had been more alert this wicked system would not have advanced so rapidly. Jesus knows what the church needs right now:

Revelation 3:17You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. 19Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent.

The church needs this eye salve and quickly.

About the only thing I agree with Tom Cruise and his posse on is the whole mental health deal. Illinois is also trying to include pregnant women. Of course, the companies who make sorcery drugs are putting their backs into this.

I remember awhile back some news article about a Mideasterner in the states who was arrested for something called khot (and I think I spelled it wrong). He claims he did not even know it is illegal in the US. It is some kind of leaf that is chewed in that culture and it is like speed. And, according to my memory of what the article said, in large doses it can cause psychosis. I figure if it is a popular chew with Muslims and if it really can make one psychotic, then that explains a lot.

Yes, that became a federal law in the last year. Children in all of the states are to be screened for mental problems. Texas (Bush) and Illinois were the two pilot programs. Since the law passed, I haven't heard more and haven't taken the time to research what is happening. Sometimes laws are passed at the federal and state levels and nothing happens. They are passed to pacify people.

For instance, did you know that parents of children in public schools are to be notified once a year that they have the right of access to the records kept on their children at the school? If the school has not complied, they can lose federal funding.
§ 1232g. Family educational and privacy rights

Somebody has to keep an eye on the government, but no one seems to do that.

Twenty years ago Don Wildmon analyzed in his book (see the link) how Christians were being portrayed on television. There is a rabbi in the Chicago area who over the years has had a column showing how the Jews were negatively portrayed in films and on television. "Over the Top Judaism: Precedents and Trends in the Depiction of Jewish Beliefs and Observances in Film and Television (Paperback)"

All of the trends you are seeing now have been growing over many years. A long time ago I described the New Age movement as creeping slime, something one might have seen in a horror movie. The slime moves slowly, covering one area after another. The population just watches, hoping the slime will stop before it reaches their town.

Dorothy,
Thanks for the link about Hitler's homeschool ban. As one looks at the Alliance of Civilizations, one can't help but see many parallels between it and the Nazi regime. From what I understand, the Alliance is interested in creating an Alliance Youth. I believe it is only a matter of time before our rights to homeschool will be stripped because it will be seen as exclusionary. Lately I've felt the urgency to instill my children with my beliefs. All parents need to open their eyes and know that the time is coming when the world will try to indoctrinate our children. We better get to it first!

I found this EXCELLENT post of a letter to the Episcopal Church that recently sponsored Khatami for his promotion of the Alliance of Civilizations:

The Shame of the Episcopal Church

"Former Iranian President Mohammad Khatami, a terrorist, a torturer, a human monster, has naturally been invited to speak at Harvard and Columbia Universities. I expect such moral blindness from our Ivy Leagues. But now this butcher has also been invited to speak at an Episcopal Church--all this during the week of 9-11. The question is: are these people merely stupid, or willfully blind to true evil, and therefore enablers of a world-class murderer, anti-Semite and Jihadist. There are no other choices."

Anyone taking any money from the Unification Church is doing nothing but supporting one of the most destructive cults around. They have one of the most successful brainwashing techniques and prey on vulnerable young adults looking for an identity.

Most people involved with them don't even know they're in a cult. They usually start as a group about some altruistic cause. If someone goes to one of these initial meetings, the people begin being so nice, as if they're the best friends they ever met. It's called love-bombing. Then they get talked into going a weekend retreat and leave usually without telling their families where they're going. They ride in a vehicle in such a way that they can't see where they're really going.

When they arrive at the retreat, it will resemble a summer camp for children. They are never alone and are encouraged to go to bed late and wake up early every day, so they're fatigued, making them more suggestible. Then they are encouraged to adopt a vegetarian diet that's high in carbohydrates, but low in protein. This also makes them more suggestable. Then, they're encouraged to meditate for hours and hours. This only adds to their mental fatigue.

After this initial retreat, surprise, there is another 7 day retreat immediately following. They are subjected to the same regimen (is that how you spell it?) After this retreat, guess what, there is a month long retreat immediately following. It's known as the weekend retreat that never ends. By this time those in the group are pretty much brainwashed.

Of all the destructive cults out there this is by far the hardest for members to leave. You are never left alone, making leaving virtually impossible. All of a sudden you are in a mass wedding or out selling flowers. The idea is if they can get you to do what they want, they can get you to believe what they want. They make little contact with their families, so they stay isolated from the world. Anyone in this group needs many prayers to escape. They have lost some popularity in the U.S. I read in the Battle Creek paper once.

All cults are in business for one of two reasons: power and/or money.

Dave, if you can get a hold of a book called Karma Cola, you will see that mind control techniques as developed by gurus in India have carried over to the west. Getting it thru Amazon is rather inexpensive. From another article I read, they have developed the techniques to the point that only one weekend will do.

There are two interesting ways of control. One is called information overload. The other is information deprevation.

When it is information overload, what happens is that the individual is given much information and then must make a choice, on the spot, whether to save or abandon humanity. To save humanity they must go along with the group.

There was a very small organization called Cult Awareness Network. They provided much good information on cults around the country, including information on mind control techniques. They were forced into bankruptcy by the well-funded Scientologists who bought their name and files. If you try to contact CAN today, you will be speaking to a Hubbard Scientologist.

After the demise of CAN, I've found no source as open as they were. There are a few organizations who write about cults and mind control, but they tend to be rather timid because of worries about being sued. Mind control techniques continue to be used on a large scale by governments and other large organizations.

While I don't agree with the so-called Rev. Moon, or anything associated with his posse, as it were, and certainly would not have attended his LITERAL coronation ceremony at the US Capitol, as many of our elected officials did, I don't see the objection to appointing this woman to the post described above. It is far from the only religion that is deceived about the identity of the Messiah. For example, I have a Jewish Study Bible (Stonne Edition Tanakh). The footnote for Daniel 11:14 identies the miscreant in questions as, "Possibly the Nazarene and his (sic) disciples...," and goes on to state things about the Lord that might cause the hypertension in may readers here. (I will put the full quote in later.) The Bible says: Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also. Would anyone here suggest that disqualifies Jewish folks from public service? I'm not an attorney, so am not an expert about the law (and know even less about the UN), but was under the impression that religious tests were forbidden in our country and am more than willing and, in fact, am happy to be corrected on that if I'm wrong.

I was shocked to see how many sites there were dealing with Astrotheology.
I was familiar with Acharya S. as her book was put out by Adventures Unlimited, a book dealer/travel agency that originally published out of an occult based community, Stelle, and early on carried books about Hitler.

It appears as if they are trying to put Judaism and Christianity in the context of the Egyptian religion, making it older than both of them. Then there is sun worship and moon worship and the Zodiac, all rather entertaining as most occult material is. However, the whole business appears very primitive compared to Judaism and Christianity which have developed over thousands of years.

So much information about past cultures is speculative. Even if scholars write many books, somewhere there will be another scholar refuting the first set of materials and challenging any theory presented. New Agers keep chasing one novelty in religion after another. That so many seem to be chasing this phantom only shows the weakened state in which the New Age movement has left left seekers after religious information.

Dorothy,

Thanks for the comments, it appears that they think that Judism and Christianity are basically Egyptian. That the writers of the Bible used old Egyptian texts and myths to form their thoughts. They question the authenticity of Jesus because 1. there were a lot of previous dieties that were, born of a virgin, claimed to be the son of God, took away the sins of the world and died for our sins, 2. there is not a lot of writings from historians at the time of Jesus that talk about Him. They take scripture, take a few verses and twist it to sound like it was based on astrology. There is a few videos on Google from a guy named Jordan Maxwell, to a person who is questioning christianity it can be very convincing. I have to say honestly, I was rebuking the spirit of doubt after I saw it. Just like the DaVinci Code and other things that try to undermine our faith we have to be prepared for the fiery tarts of the enemy.

Footnote to Daniel 11:14 in The Stone Edition Tanakh:

Rashi & Rambam take this as an illusion to the Nazarene and his (sic) disciples. "For is there a greater stumbling block than this? All the prophets foretold that the Messiah would redeem the Jews, help them, gather in the exiles and support their observance of the commandments. But he (sic) caused Jewry to be put to the sword, to be scattered and to be degraded; he (sic) tampered with the Torah and its laws; and mislead most of the world to serve something other than God (Hil. Melachim 11:4)."

The reason I post that is to demonstrate the Moonies are not the only ones who are mistaken WRT the Messiah, and I don't think anyone here believes the material contained in that footnote OR that believing it should keep someone from American government service.

PS: If part of the footnote sounds familiar, here's why; For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom,
but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

BTW, forgetteth not that Pres. Clinton placed a delightful creature on the Supreme Court who tried to have the age o' consent lowered to 12.

Robin, thanks for the term progressive revelation which I was unfamiliar with. Someone had asked me if the Baha'is have a "secret doctrine" and I was unable to answer the question until I did a further search using that term. I learned that those invited to join the cultlike organization do not realize the extent of the control beforehand, and that is what may appear as a "secret doctrine."

Carrie Tomko's blog, linked on the first page, has an interesting selection of organizations that are using the term "rekindle the fire." It's worth reading.

This concept requires a bit of analysis, but it is well worth considering. Eureferendum pointed to another blog with an intersting Noam Chomsky quote. (Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.)

http://www.eurealitshome.com/blog/
"Setting the political agenda" thread.
"The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrum – even encourage the more critical and dissident views. That gives people the sense that there’s free thinking going on, while all the time the presuppositions of the system are being reinforced by the limits put on the range of the debate."
Noam Chomsky

Go to the above link and see how this applies to politics in England, and by extension here in the US. It may help to explain how the political end of the New Age movement works. You will see why you are allowed to only talk about certain topics in the coming election.

This question is for Constance.

I've been dealing with someone (who shall remain nameless) who is into Michael Aquino and the SET.

I'm worried this person is looking in the wrong place for answers.

Anything you can tell me about this guy and what SET is would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

BJV,

First of all, I'm not Sis. Connie. Second, you need not worry whether your friend is lookin' in the wrong direction. He is. Aquino is a retired US Army officer who worked in Psych. Warfare, etc., all the while as a Satanist. He was involved with the Church of Satan, fell out with LaVey or his successor, and started the Temple of Set. In short, he's a Satanist. Google his bad self. Especially the part about the daycare center at the Presidio.

Rev. Moon demands AND GETS total subservience from his followers. Having one of his disciples running a world food program will NOT slow down the mark of the beast agenda, you may bet. Having a Moonie run USA aid programs or UN food programs is undoubtedly one of the FINAL, FINAL SIGNS OF yes, gasp, THE END!

Constance,

You’ve done it again. Moon’s longtime claim to be the Messiah, his extensive use of Korean mind-control over his disciples, and his bizarre and quite illegal appearance at the Dirkson Office Bldg several years ago that was attended by congressman and senators to crown Moon and his Wife, “Lord of the Universe” all makes sense coupled with his belief that “…. an African man with psychopathic tendencies was his dead Korean son -- "Lord" Heung Jin Nim, back from the dead.”

Moon believe in reincarnation as do many other kabbalists, including the Freemasons who attended Moon’s coronation. Christian Kabbalah believes the same and Moon and his hybrid religion -- the Unification Church -- could easily be seen in the same category as the hybrid “Mormon Church” formed by Freemason and occultist Joseph Smith.

Keep up the good work!
