UPDATED !!! Eric Jon Phelps and his book - I still recognize NEW AGE when I see it!

Note from Constance: Since writing this column, I came to my office where I have the Eric Jon Phelps book, Vatican Assassins: "Wounded in the House of My Friends" on my desk. This is what the author says:

"The author would like to acknowledge The Spectrum newspaper for having the courage to break this story when no one else would so so. Phone 877-280-2866, W.ebaddress. www.TheSpectrumNews.org.

Well, I hopped over there and to call it both neo-nazi and New Age are rather studied understatements. Particularly check out their "wisdom books" which include offerings by Eustace Mullins -- the most evil combination of deliberate New Age and Jew baiting I can possibly think of. Offered is Mullins' A WRIT FOR MARTYRS. That book details his close connection with the Bollingen Foundation people -- An Olga Froebe Kapteyn - Alice Ann Bailey - Mellon fortune combination. Mullins was following me around in the 1980s telling people he had more information on the New Age Movement than me -- he sure did -- from inside! Mullins claims to be a protege' of Ezra Pound, a prominent Theosophist turned fascist who made radio broadcasts for Hitler and Mussolini in the 1940s.

Folks, we need far better discernment than somehow it appears we've getting. Eric Phelps book on its very face is bad. Immediately on the credits page appears: "Category: "History/Non-Fiction/New Age". They told you it was New Age! But because this book was Catholic bashing, you all took it at gospel. Let's remember the biblical warnings that the deception would be enough to deceive even the elect. Sometimes a spirit of self-righteousness can blind us just as effectively as going to see Ramtha the 35,000 year old man!

THE ORIGINAL STORY

I have had three posts on my column on ABC and NBC heresies yesterday: ABC is shorthand for "Anything but Catholic" and NBC is shorthand for "Nothing but Catholic." I was told to go view the website of one Eric John Phelps.

Well, lucky for all you viewers, I was sent my very own copy of his book VATICAN ASSASSINS:. Wounded In The House Of My Friends -- complete with CD Rom. I did take a couple of hours of otherwise good billable time to go through it. I saw enough to tell you definitively, the book is a New Age book with a New Age agenda. What makes me say that?

I will devote more time to that book later, but for openers, it was freely employing some of the world's most evil resources, quoting them as gospel. What was employed?

1. ISIS UNVEILED by Helena Petrovna Blavatsky. Blavatsky once wrote a letter to her sister saying, "I am writing Isis, rather Isis is writing me."

2. OCCULT THEOCRASY by Lady Jane Queensborough. That book is a shameless attack on two out of three targets of the New Age Movement -- Jews and Christians. Lady Jane Queensborough meets head on, one major test of anti-Christ: A Denial of God the Father, per 1 John 2:22 (who is a liar, but he who denies Jesus is the Christ, he is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son). Lady Jane Queensborough in the very clearest of terms denies the father. She writes that the Jehovah of the Jews is not even worthy to be compared to Ahura Mazda of the Zoroastrians or Brahma of the Hindus!

I say, Lady Jane Queensborough is not even worthy to wrap your garbage in, let alone cite as solid historical and theological evidence! I own the book. I bought it at the local New Age bookstore in 1981. That was where the book belonged! So many Catholic and Jew bashing books buy into its thesis, hook, line and sinker, without bothering to see where the author was really coming from. Ditto with the works of Nesta Webster who freely confessed her own belief in reincarnation.

And, if you are going to accept Blavatsky as gospel, you have accepted naked the very devil himself. Blavatsky was the foundress of the Theosophical Society, the mothership of the New Age Movement. Her first magazine was called Lucifer!

'Nuf said, I am beginning to think that maybe Peter LeMesurier, the New Age writer was correct when he wrote that all they would have to do was turn the massed forces of the New Age Movement against each other.

I will be writing more on this later.

Constance,
I have no doubt that you are able to spot New Age affiliations when you see them. And you have been the one to teach me to be sensitive to that, which I appreciate and try to use to inform others. However, I'm wondering if you could fill me (us ) in a bit more on the content of this book by Eric John Phelps. I have not read it, nor do I possess a copy, so what is his purpose in writing it? My husband just had open heart surgery, so I'm working on catching up a bit on everything. Sure appreciate your information. LOVE your blogspot!! I'm sharing it with friends who are truthseekers like us.

Reply to Anonymous: The book's thesis is that the Jesuits and the Freemasons combined in a grand plot AFTER the Jesuits were expelled (why shouldn't I consider that persecution in and of itself) from most European countries. That Stalin instead of being an anti-clerical, atheistic dictoator was "Russia's Roman Catholic Grand Inquisitor" and Benito Mussolini (who incidentally admired Jan Hus, not the Popes -- he too was anticlerical, although he made a concordat with the Catholic Church giving them their small parcel of land in small token exchange for what was taken from them in anti-clerical appropriations earlier) the Vatican City as the Catholic Church's own separate country. Rather than as a victory for the Jews in 1967, was a taking for the "Black Pope" (head of Jesuit order), so on and so forth. To think that I was accused of CONSPIRACY THEORIES in unveiling the New Age Movement for what it was in the words of its own participants. This book IS A CONSPIRACY THEORY -- A MOST UGLY ONE that vilifies Jews and Christians (primary target on this one is Catholics), but there are other New Age books out there using the same sources, vilifying Protestant fundamentalists. This book is merely one more variation on the New Age theme so richly played out by people such as Derrick Evans (a Mormon turned Baha'i) of WATCH THE FUNDAMENTALISTS RUN!

We would be very foolish to buy into it!

A long time ago a New Ager said they have something for everyone. Now some of you might think that only means something for naive liberals. But all too often political conservatives who are trying to learn what is going on fall into the "What are they doing to me lately" trap, searching for the latest book or tape. And New Age groupies are ready for them. http://www.whale.to/b/pope.html is a website that has an interview with Phelps along with some excerpts from his book.

Look at the material while remembering techniques used. Cults and conspiracy writer use a technique called "Information Overload." So much "information" is poured on that the brain can't grasp it all, forcing the reader to accept or reject in total. Rather than take a chance on missing something, the reader accepts and walks away with the instilled message "Jesuit Catholics are bad." Information deprevation is another technique, but most are more familiar with that technique. This technique keeps others from knowing very much about groups such as Lucis Trust, although it has been around since the 1920s and has as its support system ngws.org.

Notice the jumping over time spans. In five sentences you can be taken over 500 years of history, making it impossible to grasp and evaluate material presented this way.

It's said that good academics are people who learn more and more about less and less, relentlessly documenting their statements. If Phelps was an academic, he would need volumes 2-5 just for footnotes. I don't have the book in front of me, but I would guess, as in Mullins' works, footnotes are few.

There is a definite link between New Age spirituality writers and political conspiracy material writers. David Icke works both sides of the fence for example. Phelps supporters do also. The goal here is to cast doubt on standard information and present an alternative at the same time. Phelps casts doubt on Catholics while his companions link to New Age sources, supposedly to present information that has also been kept from you. Always remember the New Age agenda covers politics as well as "spirituality."

Much more could be written on techniques being used. Common sense is needed by all of us in these times. And more important, remember the commandment "Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness Against Thy Neigbor."

Why don't you set up a website, not a blogsite, and tell us what you believe and what you have discovered. Give the world a mission and doctrinal statement so we can see where you are coming from. Give us some links where we can find good information on the internet. I have to say that all this blogging and commenting is causing too much confusion. Guess that is what Satan likes. The Christian church can't agree on anything doctrinally, most are oblivious and will accept just about anything. There are a few of us who are interested in the truth and what is really going on in the world. I think it is too mind boggling to even comprehend. You've got your new agers, your illuminati, your nesara supporters, aliens (thats a good one), a possibly corrupt catholic church, the corruption of the church as a whole, not to mention Judaism and Islam and on and on. May be that is why Jesus says the way is narrow. If all of these people who are supposed to be involved in all of this really are there aren't many people who are truly Christian. So what is really going on? I have a friend who says Christianity is simple, all you need is relationship with Jesus. He is right, he is also oblivious to the world, he just doesn't care what is going on. There are days that I would like to go live on a deserted island and not deal with the world. Today is one of those days. Jesus come quickly! (that comment will probably start a debate on the rapture!)

Poster #4: Not speaking for Constance Cumbey but speaking for myself, you need to know there is no funding available for those fighting the New Age movement. Over the years I've seen individuals who tried to warn others, but over time they burned out, some from lack of funds, some from the vehemence of the opposition. You might be surprised to know how many Christians ordered books they never paid for, how many copied newsletters freely without supporting the authors. I even had one pastor who thought it might be my "mission" to supply him with information for his books. The number of people who want something for nothing is staggering. The number who think they are doing someone a favor by even listening is huge.

Research is hard, time consuming, expensive work. Academics are paid well to turn out books on any miniscule topic. (Of course some people are happy to settle for the chop suey article on New Age at Wikipedia because it's free. Wiki has many memory hole fillers where controversial articles are concerned.) Instead of complaining about someone sharing information thru blogging, why not just say thank you for any leads you get that may help you make wiser decisions about the culture. Yes, coping with all of the different points of view out there is hard, but until someone endows a foundation for serious researchers on the topic, this may be all you can get.

You have my books -- both of them. Most of the so-called Christian website, don't bother giving names of their owners. Just as much can be said from this blogsite as a website. I am not a wealthy person -- the blogsite is free -- you figure out the economics. I have not hidden behind a pseudonym and I have shared my information freely. Why don't you, "anonymous," give your real name? Why don't you set up a website, not a blogsite, and tell us what you believe and what you have discovered.

I have never milked the Christian community for money. I didn't even pass the hat while I was absorbing close to $3,000 per month in radio time for 12 years in Detroit. I have no apologies and my beliefs -- AND IDENTITY -- have been shown -- unlike the anonymous snipers who like to lurke on this site!

My books have been out there since 1983. You know where I'm coming from and at least I can discern between Madame Blavatsky and gospel truth!

Constance: I heard that Eric John Phelps had to leave the US because his life was threatened - I think he moved to Israel.

Also, about Freemasonry in the church - what do you make of Malachi Martin's book, Windswept house, wherein it describes a ceremony called the "Enthronement of the archangel lucifer" in the vatican?

Also, what about Pope John Paul I, who was assassinated 33 days into his papacy by P2 Freemasons, as suggested in Yallop's book, "In God's Name".

Furthermore, what do you make of Ratzinger's move to silence the issue of pedophilia in the church? The fact that Ratzinger was a Hitler youth and was recently the head of the Catholic church's inquisition?

My response to Following:

Yes, these things were going on in the Catholic Church. Malachi Martin and I had many long conversations about it. The perpetrators and/or fellow travelers were the likes of Bishop Rembert Weakland of Milwaukee, Bishop Hunthausen of Seattle, Cardinal Bernardin of Chicago (and once the Bishop of Grailville) -- Malachi Martin personally told me the "Cardinal of Century City" was Bernardin! Detroit's Auxiliary Bishop Gumbleton was also in on this evil loop. HOWEVER, it was Cardinal Ratzinger who was faithfully fighting it and flushing it out and for that very reason, he was falsely labeled as starting a new Protestant inquisition by my former friend Dave Hunt. THOU SHALT NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS! Strangely enough, Dave Hunt's book on William Law is adored by the New Age Catholics and is recommended in the Paulist Press Series, "Classics of Modern Spirituality" for which New Age priest David SteindlRast and Theosophical Society Board member Huston Smith play an active role. and Spangler friend, Bro. Dav Furthermore, what do you make of Ratzinger's move to silence the issue of pedophilia in the church?
I don't know enough about the pedophilia issue, except to say that concern with due process for those accused does not equate with condoning those evil deeds. The fact that Ratzinger was a Hitler youth and was recently the head of the Catholic church's inquisition? For the reasons I have already abundantly started, fighting the New Age Movement and relativist theologies and making sure that Hinduism, Buddhism, and paganism do not corrupt church doctrines, does not an "inquisition" make!

The former papacy appeared very much to be tilting New Age until Ratzinger checked in and checked Matthew Fox -- if that is "an inquisition" maybe one was needed. Fox is still making a fortune peddling his New Age lies to Baptists and Episcopalians.

As far as the Hitler Youth thing goes, all German young people were forced to join and were drafted.

I have read Ratzinger closer than most other Catholic theologians in regards to his statements against New Age philosophies and so far, so good.

And as regards to the last 'anonymous' hearing that Eric Phelps had to leave the country, he sure didn't have to leave because he might have been chased by New Agers -- heck, they were making lots of money off of him. I frankly don't believe a word about what he composed -- the Kennedy thesis or anything else -- he's one more playing the highly profitable game of WATCH THE FUNDAMENTALISTS RUN! At least, that's how I see it. He still has an active email box. I wrote him today asking for an explanation. So far, haven't heard back!

Constance:

I was the anonymous poster about Ratzinger, P2 Masons, etc. I run the trunews blog at http://www.trunews.blogspot.com

I am curious to hear your thoughts about the directive of the people at fatima.org , particularly Fr. Gruner. They are pro-Marian and believe that Pope Benedict XVI may consecrate Russia - do you know much about that? It relates to the 3rd Secret of Fatima, and now that PJPII and Sister Lucia are passed on, we may never really know what that was all about.

I have had this impression that the Marian apparitions at Medjugorje represent a move towards mysticism in the Church, and a possible revival of goddess worship (Innana from Baylon, Diana fron Greece etc).

It seems pretty clear that the Cardinals want a short-term Pope (Ratzinger is 77 or 78), so what can we make of the next Pope, especially in light of Malachi's prophecies of Petrus Romus? I would encourage you to see this old article at Catholic Planet at:

http://www.catholicplanet.com/articles/article41.htm

In spiritual terms, the efforts of Pope Benedict XVI to restore more traditional themes (and actually try to change the world- a good thing, don't get me wrong) could create a "blowback" effect - the worldly/new-age types might demand a more liberal Pope after Benedict.

Do you think that there is any merit to this St. Malachi and the prophecy of the next Pope?

I have the impression that you will recoil at the name "Dan Brown" - I do too. However, his books are getting snapped up and people are taking his drivel to be spiritual truths - it's a bulletproof arguement if one is a relativist. It doesn't matter if it's all lies, because it really matters what people believe to be truth - that the Catholic CHurch is suppressing female voices - etc. People won't even listen to the Church on the issue, becuse in this post-Da Vinci Code world, the Church IS the patriarchy - the big, bad, male-dominated institution that doesn't want Dan Brown's "truths" to come to light.

It's creepy.

I really like your blog and appreciate what you are doing. You are a very intelligent person who knows this subject well. Keep up the excellent posts.

I know many Catholics who share these concerns -- one funds a religous foundation fighting this and frauds emanating from gullible people (just as gullible as those subscribing to Phelps, I guess!) I once met Fr. Gruner in my travels -- he seems sincere enough -- I know people who would debate that. I personally don't know fully what his motivations and inspirations are. As for Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, I am firmly convinced he will be his own man, no, I am convinced he will try to seek God's will -- his writings give me every indication that he intends to be somebody who stays true to God and his word. I posted a link on one of the articles he wrote in 1996 -- it is very clearly expressed and any Protestant theologian would have/should have been happy if they personally had authored it. He dwells a lot on what Scripture says and how it does not change. I heard him speak out against evolution -- something that even the last pope had appeared to waiver on. I wish him a long life, but I suspect that there were wishes he would be a transitional pope.
